Here's the morning headlines from Michael Hill.

Attorneys for more than a thousand people who attended Black Lives Matter protest in Manhattan and Brooklyn in 2020,
say their clients will soon get nearly $10,000 payouts in a class action settlement.
The city has agreed to pay a total of about $13 million for alleged police misconduct during
the response to the 2020 protests in the days after the murder of George Floyd.
Officials did not admit to any wrongdoing.
The NYPD and the city's law department have not immediately responded to our request for comment.
Mayor Eric Adams' plan to distribute flyers along the U.S. Mexico
border to discourage migrants from coming to New York. WNIC's Charles Lane has more.
Adam says the bright yellow flyers will be distributed by non-profit groups along the border.
They warn about New York's high cost of living and say there is no guarantee of shelter.
Immigrant advocates called the plan fear-mongering. Advocates for homeless people said
leaders need to find a more comprehensive action plan. David Griffin is with Coalition for the Homeless.
Some yellow flyers reminding people in Texas that rents in New York are high is not a substitute for a federal immigration policy that actually helps people to come in and get resettled and go to work and find permanent homes.
The city estimates that over 100,000 people are staying each night in city-run shelters.
About half of them are newly arrived migrants.
Fares on New York City bus and subways are going up starting August 20th.
It's the first fair hike for the MTA in four years.
The agency hopes reinstating regular increases will help stabilize the agency's books.

Well, I feel that, you know, the price, the fare is going up, and the salary still same.
So it's bad for me, yes.
Single rides are going up by 15 cents to $2.90.
Monthly cards, Metro North and L.I.R. Commuter rail fares will also.
increase, so will MTA bridge and tunnel tolls, discount programs for students, seniors, and
paratransit customers will stay the same price. The government says her air quality is moderate
