Transit workers are raising concerns over safety after a conductor was slashed in the neck early yesterday morning. Conductor Alan Scott was attacked while working as his a train pulled into the Rockaway Avenue station. His wife, Dolores, says she's always been worried about his safety at work. It has to be somebody who is sicking the brain.

And our mayor promised us he would take them off the street and take them out of this train. Police have yet to find his attacker. The Transport Workers Union is criticizing the MTA for not doing enough to protect transit workers. Mayor Adams is calling on state lawmakers to pass legislation to make it easier for the city to close stores that illegally sell marijuana. New Yorkies are tired and fed up of seeing the ill. illegal shops and we need to take action. That's why I'm looking forward to working with all our partners in Orbanes. Give us the local authority. Allow us the opportunity to close down the illegal shop. He made the remarks during his first public visit to a legal cannabis dispensary yesterday.

As Madawana dispensary in Park Slope celebrated its opening, its billed as the first legal dispensary owned by a black woman. The mayor was joined by State Assembly member Jennifer Rajkumar, who has introduced legislation that would give cities the authority to order immediate closure of any business that violates cannabis or tobacco loss. 31 degrees now.
