Here's the morning headlines from Michael Hill.
Mayor Adams' former chief advisor, Ingrid Lewis Martin, landed a role in a TV show that prosecutors say was part of a bribery scheme.
WNYC's Elizabeth Kim report.
She's not the first person close to Adams to work on the series.
In 2020, Adams' son, Jordan Coleman, worked as a person.
personal assistant to actor Forrest Whitaker on the show Godfather of Harlem.
It's another example of Adams' deep ties to Gina and Tony Argento.
The siblings on a prominent soundstage company called Broadway Stages.
It provides the backdrops for hit shows like Billions and Blue Bloods.
Over the years, they've contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Adams.
Now they're accused of bribing Lewis Martin with gifts and the TV cameo in exchange for killing a bike project in Brooklyn.
Coleman didn't respond to a request for comment.
Adam says his son got the job on his own.
Lewis Martin Argentos had pleaded not guilty.
Covenant Kathy Hockel's given the all-clear sign
with flashing caution lights at Long Island State Park Ocean beaches.
Beaches have reopened for swimming with remnants of Hurricane Aaron way out to sea.
But Hockel's urging everyone to be cautious and to heed any local restrictions.
She says the rough conditions have subsided,
but beachgoers still have to be on the lookout for any unsafe, localized conditions.
Hundreds of New Yorkers took part in Zaraan Mundani's latest campaign event,
a scavenger hunt throughout New York City yesterday.
The prize?
This is a bag of hers, sour cream and onion, flavoring potato chips.
That's bedstay resident Dove Williams.
The winner is the day's winner, the bag of chips,
a callback to the recent scandal surrounding Mayor Adams' campaign.
I guess about a week ago, one of Eric Adams,
confidence slipped a city reporter some amount of money in a bag of potato chips.
The scavenger hunt started in Union Square. Its final destination was a cafe in Mamdani's home
neighborhood of Astoria. Adams called the event Kids Play in a social media post.
