Here's the morning headlines from Michael Hill.
At least a dozen Amtrak trains have been canceled on the Empire line between Penn Station and Albany.
Amtrak's has a problem stem from, quote, structure issues with a parking garage that sits above their tracks on West 51st Street in Manhattan.
The agency says train service on the line is suspended for all stops between Croton Harmon and New York Penn Station.
Take Metro north from Grand Central to Crotonin where tickets will be cross-honored.
That's the advice this morning.
Amtrak expects updates later on how service throughout the day will be affected.
Many migrant families bus to Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field yesterday are now planning their next steps after asking to leave just as soon as they got there.
Jamaica Bay Assembly member Jamie Williams was a.
on the site as migrants got off their buses.
You could see the uneasiness.
People were very upset.
They got back on the bus.
A few people had went into the tents.
The majority came out with filled garbage bag of clothes on their heads,
pulling carts with their children.
A spokesperson from Mayor Eric Adams confirms that families who did not want to stay at the shelter
where provided transportation offsite.
The mayor's office says the families did so.
knowing there is no other placement for them at this time and that the migrants may return to the Floyd Benefield shelter at any time.
Truck drivers, listen up, starting today, overweight trucks on the Queensbound side of the BQE will be hit with a $650 fine.
The goal is to reduce wear and tear on the highways' crumbling triple cantilever in Brooklyn Heights.
The Department of Transportation has installed scales to automatically weigh trucks, as well as cameras to fly,
photographed license plates of those that are too heavy. The city started issuing warnings to drivers
of trucks that weigh more than 80,000 pounds in August. During the first week, 344 warnings were
issued to overweight vehicles. The number of warnings declined 55% by October. The city plans to
expand the ticketing program to the Staten Island-bound side of the highway next year.
