Here's the morning headlines from Michael Hill.
A new poll shows Mayor Adams losing support among New York City residents
as a federal investigation swirls around his campaign.
WNYC's Elizabeth Kim reports.
The Maris poll was the worst yet for Adams,
now halfway through his first term.
54% of respondents disapprove of his job performance, up from 24% last year.
And more than 7 in 10 say they believe Adams did something illegal or unethical during his 2021 campaign in his dealings with Turkey.
The poll was conducted a week after the FBI raided the home of Adams' top fundraiser
and later seized the mayor's electronic devices.
Investigators are reportedly looking into ties between his campaign and Turkish officials.
Neither Adams nor his campaign has been accused of any wrongdoing.
New York State's first offshore wind turbine is now in place, about 35 miles off the coast of Long Island's easternmost end.
It's the first of 12 turbines set for installation by the end of this year or early next year.
Once completed and working, officials say it could power some 70,000 Long Island homes.
Meanwhile, a recent Sienna College Newsday poll found that by almost two to one, respondents, a part
the addition of a small surcharge on their electric bills to generate money for wind power development.
The state recently denied requests from some offshore wind developers to rewrite contracts
and charge more for supplying power to the state.
Mid-50s with showers right now are under advisories for coastal flooding and wind across the areas.
So be careful out there.
