New York Governor Kathy Hochle says she supports people who are seeking asylum in the state,
but she says if they commit a crime, she wants them kicked out.

Some New Yorkers are about to lose a food benefit meant to bridge the gap over the summer.
Summer EBT program benefits expire 122 days after they were issued.
The first one distributed back in July will expire tomorrow on Thanksgiving.
The program aims to help families.
when kids might not have access to school meals. Families get a one-time lump sum of $120 of each
eligible child. The cards were issued at families at different times, depending on the kids' schools
and whether families obtained benefits automatically or had to apply. Engineers are trying to build
a floating pool on the East River that uses powerful filters to make the surrounding water safe
for swimming, but they say now they're facing a surprising challenge as they're taking.
tests at the system this fall, it kept clogging, getting clogged up by heaps of seaweed.
So the backers of the project called the Plus Pool say the filters do a great job of cleaning
the water. Here's the project managing director, Kara Meyer.
This temporary test in the river was pretty incredible to see. I think there's an appetite for
innovation in New York City and trying something that is going to return New Yorkers to their
waters.
There's still no firm data as to when the pool will open to the public.
Meyer plans to open a small test version of the pool at some point next year.
Garbage, compost, and recycling will not be collected tomorrow in New York City,
but sanitation officials say we can still put our garbage on the curb the night of the holiday and compost too.
Still, they're warning us pickup could be delayed Friday as crews were to catch up from the holiday break.
The sanitation apartment says to hold off when putting out your rest.
