A top campaign fundraiser for Mayor Adams currently embroiled in a federal investigation has a new lawyer. WNYC's Elizabeth Kim reports. Brianna Suggs has hired Rebecca Reciigliano, a partner at international law firm Kroll and mooring. That's according to a spokesperson for the firm. Suggs had previously been using

Her decision to hire a different attorney raises the possibility she could be cooperating with federal investigators, who are reportedly looking into illegal donations. Neither Suggs nor Adams is accused of wrongdoing. But FBI agents served both with search warrants and seized their electronic devices earlier this month. Adams told reporters Tuesday that Suggs is no longer fundraising for his campaign, but wouldn't go into further detail. At least four million New Yorkers are at risk of fraud and identity theft after a data breach at a company that works with hospitals in the state. New York Attorney General Leticia James sent out a consumer alert about the incident yesterday. Records were compromised at a medical

James said most of the patients affected have already been notified. She suggested they monitor their credit card statements, credit reports, and medical bills for any suspicious activity. The street vendor market at Corona Plaza will reopen today after a city crackdown this summer cleared out most of the merchants. The reopened market will be smaller and have stricter rules to address the community's concerns around safety and sanitation. The vendors and their longtime advocates say they wish more hours and stalls were allowed. Queensboro President Donovan Richards says vendors have felt to the market's absence.
Starting point is 00:02:07 For every vendor not on this site, they're impacted economically, mentally, physically, you know, so I don't take it lightly that every vendor can't return here, you know, at this moment. Only 14 vendors will be allowed at one time, far less than the over 80 once there. And the market will only operate Wednesday to Sunday from 9 in the morning to 8 at night. Officials say the hours could be expanded down the road. It's just 28 degrees right now in New York City. We're going up to 37 today with mostly sunny skies. Thanks for listening.
