It's Monday, October 23rd.
Here's the morning headlines from Tiffany Hansen.
The NYPD says they've arrested 19 people, including three minors,
following a pro-Palestinian protest in Bay Ridge over the weekend.
Bay Ridge is home to New York City's largest Arab community.
The founder of the organization behind the protest, Nardine Kiswani, says the neighbor,
is the heart of the Palestinian community and that the intent of the protest was for peace.
We wanted to come together to make it unequivocally clear that we stand with the people of Gaza and Palestine.
We don't only call for a ceasefire but an end of the siege.
Previous protests in the city in response to the Israel-Hamas war have also resulted in arrests.
Last week, more than 60 people were arrested at a Jewish voice for peace rally.
in Park Slope.
Authorities are still looking for a 13-year-old boy who was last seen jumping into the East River
on Friday afternoon.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, the NYPD responded to witness reports of the boy
entering the waters at East River Park in Manhattan near 6th Street.
That's according to the department.
The boy remains missing and police have not identified him.
Emergency responders, including air and water teams, continue to conduct their search for
the team. And the Giants snapped a four-game losing streak with a 14-7 victory over the Washington
commanders at MetLife Stadium yesterday. The backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor had another good game
filling in for the injured Danielle Jones throwing two second quarter touchdown passes. The
Giants' defense led by Dexter Lawrence had six sacks and made a last-minute stand to preserve Big
Blue's second win this season compared to five losses. The three and three jets had this week
off. Forecast today, we're on the way up to 61 degrees with a mostly sunny sky. Currently now,
