Starting point is 00:00:10 What's going on, everybody? Welcome to the NZT Club podcast number one. My name is Dennis, also known as Den ZXT in the server. With me, we have Mike. Hello, my name is Mike. On the Discord server, I'm intern ZXT by Kim. And then we also have Bapi, Ivan. Hello, and I'm Ivan, the other intern, and I go by Yoshoki on the server.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Big yikes. So, welcome, everyone. This is the number one, the first podcast we're doing for the NXT community, which is, I think, super cool, long time coming. I know it's one of the first things that I've been talked to me about is starting a podcast and doing more stuff. Yeah, but the moderators are already like, great, another podcast. Everyone has a podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:53 All right, but this is our podcast. Yeah. It's not the same as any other podcast because only this podcast has poppy in it. Poppycast. Exactly, here go. Poppycast. Yeah, no, it's actually, you're right. One of the first things that I wanted to do,
Starting point is 00:01:10 when we hired you, Dennis was a podcast. I think we even brought it up in the interview. Yeah, I've always loved listening to people talk ever since I was a little kid. I used to do like fake radio shows and stuff. And I listened to a lot of podcasts. And I just thought, you know, I talk to people all day long. It'd be cool to just actually talk with my voice instead of my fingers for once.
Starting point is 00:01:34 So thank you for setting this up. No worries. And thanks to the community, because I know they've kind of been asking a little bit about this too, right? It's not like it's something that we just did just because, like, people have been asking about, hey, you guys are we going to think about doing something like streaming or podcasting or something like that? So here we are. We finally did it, folks.
Starting point is 00:01:51 All for you. I don't do it for myself. Do it for you. And now we have to do it every week. Another task on the Trello board. Oh, my God. The super long Trello board. If you guys don't know what Trello is, it's a, I don't, how would you describe it, like a task
Starting point is 00:02:08 management? It's a project management tool that you collaborate with your coworkers and your crack of tasks and see who's doing what and just brainstorm ideas and organize your random thoughts and all that stuff. It's a really good tool. I like it a lot. Welcome to the Office Productivity Podcast. So what do you like about Trello?
Starting point is 00:02:32 I love how easy it is to use. I love all the poppy stickers over all the time. You have to admit, without Trello, we probably wouldn't even be able to do this podcast. Oh, no, for sure, yeah. It's really great for organizing stuff. Yeah. We can do a Trello cast later on. I feel like, I feel like Trello is going to be a thing we talk about every single episode.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I'm putting down five bucks right now. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a thing. So, what's on the Trello today? Let's see. All right, so the purpose of the podcast is really just to provide some content for the community. and we went ahead and asked you guys what you wanted to hear. So we got a couple of interesting things lined up. Hopefully you guys like it.
Starting point is 00:03:15 If you don't let us know, we'll definitely be having, you know, like some kind of form or some kind of thing that you guys can fill out so we can fine tune this and make this as perfect as possible. And, you know, we have big ideas. It just depends on what you want. So you tell us what you want and we'll do it. We don't want to think, as Ivan likes to say, go for us.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Something that I don't want to think. I just don't want to think about things. that don't need thinking, you know? Yeah, yeah. I could think about the stuff I should be thinking about. The next meme to post on Twitter. Just thinking about, you know, the big picture. Not just like the logistics of how do I set up a podcast?
Starting point is 00:03:52 I just want to like, okay, just asking questions, man. What's the microphone? So we're, I guess we just move on over here to the next little section here. So what has everybody been playing? Because, you know, ultimately we're all gamers here, right? we all play video games. So Mike, Mr. Intern Mike, what have you been playing? Recently, I've been playing a lot of TFT Minecraft.
Starting point is 00:04:15 I just got back into it. So that's been very fun. One of our other interns also has a Minecraft server, so I've been playing on that as well. Oh, really? What do you guys do in this Minecraft server? So one of our other interns made, like, he coded this entire Minecraft server where it's basically like,
Starting point is 00:04:34 I guess it could say it's like a it's like the aspects of Minecraft with building and doing all the stuff but there's also a bunch of random mods I guess you could say where there's like villagers then there's like bandits who attack you raiders that attack you then there's like random like traders
Starting point is 00:04:56 and sellers all around scattered across they move everywhere it's really cool it's like a I think if it's like a Minecraft plus Sounds like an MMO if you have other people. Kind of is, yeah. Kind of is. Is there like gear and like levels you guys can get? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:10 So it's just like the standard like iron, diamond leather armor and stuff like that. But you can like enchant them into different types and there's like different sets, different names gives you bonuses and like speed or health or damage. There's a ton of stuff. Like it's literally like a modded Minecraft server. I love how excited it's about Minecraft. Dude, it's. It brings me back, man. I've been there since Alpha, so you can raise you back when I get to play it again.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I like to tease Mike because he acts like a really old man. I am literally twice his age. He acts twice the age I am. Hey, man, I just care about the sugar and our cereal, man. Sure you do. That's why you brought me back a giant bag of mango candy. Can't stop eating those. Each one of those candies is like 300 calories.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Each one of those little candies is, yeah, 300 calories. I think I had at least like five yesterday. Because they're so easy to eat and they're like they're really chewy. So like I'm working on something and then I'm like, oh, let me just grab a candy. And then 20 minutes later, oh, it's candy right here. That's the game I'm playing right now is counting calories from my mango candy. All right. I have been playing, actually I got back into rest again.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I'm playing a lot of rust, which is like Minecraft for adults. because you know you can like murder people and chop their bodies up for animal fat and for bones to make bone armor so I can literally kill you Mike and I can turn you into a set of armor does that sound why me because you're right there because I haven't only because you're an intern Mike that's why yeah but it's been a lot of fun I'm rolling with with a buddy of mine and and his rest group in this giant compound built up and right now we're trying to figure out how to stop these dudes who are running with like full kidded out AK-47s or whatever from flying in on a stupid helicopter and blowing your stuff up. That's cool, but have you played Dr. Mario World? I have, and I got bored of it already. I know. I'm on level 81.
Starting point is 00:07:19 I love that game. It's pretty fun. I'm not the biggest fan of mobile games to start with. I have a really hard time playing games on my phone. So do I, actually. but this game is actually I'm not going to say it's like one of the best
Starting point is 00:07:35 video games ever but for a mobile game and especially for like a puzzle game and also for like an Nintendo mobile game I think it's really fun because I tried the Mario Kart mobile game and it was garbage and the Mario run game was fun it was just a little short
Starting point is 00:07:54 this game and it has like a bunch of levels and it's just the online competitiveness of it is pretty cool. It's probably the best part about it, I would say. Because the regular game feels like Candy Crush to me, where they give you this level, and it's kind of annoying to get to. You get to figure out what the method to beating it is.
Starting point is 00:08:14 But I would say it's probably more, feels more like a puzzle game than Candy Crush. Yeah, it's really... Candy Crush always felt really random. And if you're a fan of Dr. Mario, like, I am, you're probably going to enjoy it, even though it's completely different. from the original Dr. Mario games,
Starting point is 00:08:30 it's still, you know, Dr. Mario is still a Mario character there with a doctor suit. So throwing pills or whatever. Cool. Yeah. So the hardest part for me about Dr. Mario is having my finger slide
Starting point is 00:08:45 and like not putting the pills or whatever they're called like the right spot. Well, imagine playing Dr. Mario on your computer like I do. Pretty sure that's cheating. No, it's not. Yeah, you're giving yourself an unfair advantage by being able to precisely pick with the mouse.
Starting point is 00:09:05 It's, um... Should be arrested for that, TBH. I should be arrested for a lot of things. But Dr. Mario, my computer is not one of them. All right. Mikey, have anything to say about Dr. Mario? Have you tried it yet? I tried, like, the first few levels before my flight.
Starting point is 00:09:21 It was fun. You know, I used to play that when I was on Game Boy or Game Boy Advance? I can't remember. Has anyone bought you a video game recently, Mike? And yes, yes, someone did indeed. Pappy bought me a Mario cart from my switch that I will be buying soon because I'm going to be back up to call him. A couple days ago, Mike was telling me about all these things he bought.
Starting point is 00:09:49 He's like, I bought four joycons, about three controllers, about two carrying cases, about... He's literally like 20 switch accessories. and I'm like, oh, so you bought a switch? He's like, no, I just got the accessories. I'm like, okay. So then I just told them, well, since you got all these other stuff, I guess I'll buy you a game even though you don't have a switch.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Just kind of weird, right? Something an old man would do. Just like buying all the parts of the computer, but not having the case yet. Yeah. But at the very least, you can still plug it in together and run it off like a cardboard box or something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Actually, you bought me Mario Kart too when I first started. I did. We have not played since we got into the new office. Yeah, it was like ever since we got into the new office. It's been busy. It's been not only busy, which is weird because it was just like we had a pop-up stuff, which was the big thing. And then we have like, you know, settling to the office and then working on other stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Yeah. Like launching. Then we've got these new intern. We got to take care of. Yeah, we have new interns, all training and new things on build, new things on NdxGCT.com. It's just a lot of lot going on right now. You guys did play during the land party, though, remember? A little bit, but not a whole lot.
Starting point is 00:11:12 But not a lot. It wasn't a true Mario Kart experience with us and the entire creative team dealing at each other. Well, we'll get back to it, I'm sure. Once the dust settles, there's just a lot of going on right now. Yep, yep. So with that, I think it's a great time to transition into community stuff because we did kind of mention some things that we've been working on. So community news section, we will try to, I don't know, do something every single week. I feel like every time we get to the section, we got to hear a reggae horn.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I'm down. I mean, hey, be it in post. I can definitely edit it in post. We also got to have, I think, Mike do some, like, something. Some funny taglines here. I need some mic drops. Yeah. Some mic drops.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Time for your weekly mic drop. Just be a random fact about penguins or bananas or something. Yeah, you're the keeper of the banana facts. I am. That's your claim to fame right now. So, first community news topic is new podcast, which is what you're listening to right now. So you should probably really know what this is. Hopefully it doesn't sound as bad as I think it does.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Right. Yikes. you know, we'll, again, let us know what you think about it and what we can do to make it better, and we will definitely do that. Or tell us never to do it again. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And it'll be one less thing on the Trello board
Starting point is 00:12:38 that we don't have to worry about. Yeah, who's your playing on Twitter right now? I don't know. Somebody is. Something better be. Mike, can you tell Andy to reply on Twitter? Thanks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:51 And then a thing we just added in yesterday, actually, was the streaming channel. So we had a new channel to the Discord, and it's all around streaming and streaming accessories. So if you have a question about streaming or want to get in the streaming or wonder why no one's watching you stream. That was at the request of Alex Chan, who's our resident streaming, streaming guru here. And he knows a lot about streaming, so we figure, you know, why not have the community ask questions. And if he can help, you know, chime in and show him the way. Yeah, I mean, we have a lot of streamers in here.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I mean, I stream every now and then. Andy streams. Andy streams? Andy streams, yeah. Everyone, follow, follow Andy. Mr. Sligey. Is that his Twitch? Mr. Slige guy?
Starting point is 00:13:35 I don't know. I don't watch the guy streaming crazy. Mr. Sly Guy in the sky, I think that's what it is. He has like 50 names. It's like Frito Bandito in here, then Mr. Sly guy in the sky. I actually don't know what his Twitch is.
Starting point is 00:13:45 I've blocked three of his Instagram accounts in the last week, actually. Well, he has more than three now? I stopped counting He just keeps making them Yeah He's actually someone that should Definitely be on this podcast I know he's been asking about it
Starting point is 00:14:02 Half of our tweets are just the things he says I think I think because he asked so much about the podcast We should just tell him he's going to be on But never have him on And I just be like a real joke in our office Or like have him on And then like we just all like
Starting point is 00:14:15 It'll be like some weird intervention Andy we got to talk You have three Instagram accounts. Can you explain this, please? Why do you more than one? And why are you posting the same content on each one? And why do you sit like that in your chair? Yeah, so Andy, for those who don't know,
Starting point is 00:14:33 Andy is our PR guy in the office. He sits right next to me, and he gets used to sit right next to Ivan back in the day. And he doesn't sit in his chair the way he should. He has a standing desk, but then he also uses his chair to do like a Captain Morgan or something. It's really weird. And I don't know why he doesn't just stand or sit.
Starting point is 00:14:49 He's like doing a half. Yeah, his first day at the office, when he first started working here, he sat next to me and he said, oh, by the way, I sit like a moron. I was like, what? Like, yeah, I sit really dumb. And they said, okay, whatever that means. And then, yeah, sure, I know if he does sit like a moron. He just sits on his feet. It's like a, it's like he's squatting, right?
Starting point is 00:15:14 Yeah, he's flexible. He's very flexible. He is. I can't sit like that. I think I could either. I try, but I get, like, tired of my butt falls asleep. Yeah. So, yeah, if you guys want to ask about streaming, streaming channels over there.
Starting point is 00:15:32 We actually got some pretty good questions already about, like, just people asking about about affiliate and asking about what setup they use or what might they should get. So, you know, it's pretty informative. But the channel is not for self-promotion. So please use the bulletin board for that. Thank you. Thank you, yes. Don't self-promo.
Starting point is 00:15:46 We have the bulletin board. you can only self-promo if you're a supporter or higher. So blue names can't do it. Or if you're one of us, because we can do anything. We are the law. Actually, I don't what role I am. What role am I? I don't have a role.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I think I'm like level two or three or something. Then like after that. Steph, I don't think can get XP. Yeah, but I want to be able to get XP just so I can see like how many points it can accumulate or like how many levels I can get. They'd be kind of cool. I don't want the rewards I just want the rank you know So we should do for Slack then
Starting point is 00:16:20 Oh Slack Slack rewards All right guys Welcome to the Slack and Trello podcast You can talk about office productivity in here And then also The last thing on community news Which is not really necessarily new
Starting point is 00:16:36 But I think people need to be more aware of it We do have a community game night Every two weeks And I promise that we will start playing it Like we were saying earlier We've just been really busy lately, so we haven't able to really play that many video games. Not just here, but game night or in general. Except for Dennis, he plays video games at the office.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I do. I saw that yesterday. I do. You sit right next to me. I know. I'm just joking. Yeah, definitely I want to play more with the games with people on Discord. And we're going to do it every other week.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Not every week, so it's actually not this week, but next week. So we'll be there. Every, every two weeks, we have a channel for that game night. And any of the mods in there you can ask about, and we have a group of mods who also help us moderate it. So it's in a game you want to play, let them know. Any ideas what we can do to make it better. Again, don't be silent.
Starting point is 00:17:30 It's one of the core values, right? Be courageous. Open up. You never know where a good idea may come from. So make sure you adhere to those. That's why they're there. Yep. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:40 So N16 News. Yeah. A lot of things lately. happening at NZXT. I just added another one of that list right now. I saw you just added it live. I think you're allowed to do that, but I know since you just did it, do you want to go and start this one?
Starting point is 00:17:53 Sure. And I just thought of it because of Andy. So Andy is at the Linus Tech Expo in Canada, and Andy's there because he's the most Canadian NZXT employee. You wear socks with sandals. She drinks a lot of tea, too. He drinks a lot of tea, yeah. He's at a Linus Tech Expo and we're sponsoring the CasePoss,
Starting point is 00:18:13 So I think Andy and Wesley, Vivian and James and Eric, who else is up there? It's like six or seven people up there. So if you're hearing my voice and you're in Canada and you want to meet them, go to the Linus Tech Expo. Yeah. It's actually really cool that Linus is able to put out like an expo. I never thought would happen. It's pretty nuts.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Hopefully we'll be able to do the NXT Expo soon, right? Okay. I just did. Well, the pop-up was kind of. that, right? A little bit, yeah. You know, but like, like, I'm like a multi,
Starting point is 00:18:49 multi-day thing with, like, booths and stuff, and it'll be all NXT booths. And then we'll start getting questions, like, how many retweets for a free, free badge to the NGXT? I can't afford to go to your expo because the hotel fees,
Starting point is 00:19:05 how many retweets for a free room? It's like, you can sleep in Andy's room. Andy would be like, sure, I don't like. Yeah, man, the more the mayor here. we should just make Andy podcast TBH
Starting point is 00:19:21 Just a podcast all about Andy I should be kind of cool to have like a podcast where we just center around one person at the company And we just shame them for like an hour Here's what's wrong with this person No nothing's wrong with Andy He knows I love him I just like teasing him because he's such a character
Starting point is 00:19:43 I feel like he's trolling trolling everyone. Yeah, I don't think I've ever met a person like Andy before, to be honest with you. Yeah. And when I'll never forget the, when I interviewed him, like, we literally just talked about video games for an hour. Like, we didn't even talk about the job at all. And, but that kind of, you know, made me really, really like him.
Starting point is 00:20:06 So I recommended him because he's a great guy. Yeah, we all love Andy. Right, Mike? Yes, yes we do. We do not harass or bully. We love him. We just don't want to email him. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:20:22 No one wants to email him. All right. So second bit of news for EnzyxT is the new H-Zeries series cases are not available for pre-order. So that's the, I'm going to screw this up. So I want you to say it. The numbers of the cases. The new H-series is now available for pre-order. Yeah, so all of those cases we announced in May are now
Starting point is 00:20:43 They look for pre-order. Me and Mike just saw them in our warehouse, actually, so they're here. So they'll start shipping soon. And those cases are the H-210 and H-210I mini-ItX, the H-510, H-510I and H-5-10-E-5-10-E-Lead. And the H-710-I ATX. Yeah. So you guys got their pick of the litter. But everyone's going for the elite.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Yeah, I mean, it's a really nice looking case. One of the nicest cases I think I've ever seen. It's all right. I'm going to grab one. I just don't know if I want the white or the black one. It's really kind of hard to choose. Which one would you guys go for? White, man.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Doesn't matter because I'm going to cover in stickers anyway. Oh, we should also talk about the cases that are being discontinued because of that. All of them that aren't those? Yeah. pretty much. If it's not one of those, we're not going to make him anymore. So if you do want to grab like a 500
Starting point is 00:21:47 or like a 400 or something or any of the other cases, you just have to look on the retailers. Like, I forget, we have like Amazon MicroCenter. I mean, they'll still have them because, you know, they still exist, but we won't be producing anymore.
Starting point is 00:22:00 So, yeah. They're gone. People will still complain about it. People still complaining about not making phantoms anymore. We haven't made those since 2012. Do you imagine? Like wanting a case from 2012? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:15 I can't. Because those cases are, they were great for that time, but they were made out of plastic. The whole experience with those cases is not, it's like nowhere near close to where we're at right now. And that's why we refresh cases and discontinue the old ones. It's not because we don't like the old one.
Starting point is 00:22:34 It's because we really do refine them, like big time. Like this new H-series, they might look similar to the untrained eye but the big changes are instead of having two or four screws to mount your tempered glass is just one now so super easy to remove and apply the tempered glass there's also USBC something people have been asking for forever
Starting point is 00:23:04 new SSD mounting that's easier those are the big ones And then obviously the elite, cleared front tempered glass panel, something people have been asking for a long time as well. Yeah, that's definitely one that I've been seeing a lot about before we even announced.
Starting point is 00:23:20 It's like, hey, you guys were going to make like a full glass case or something where I can see the front. Okay, here you go. And then we made it. It's there. So go buy it.
Starting point is 00:23:30 If you want it or don't. I don't care. Do what you want. Great, great ad, by the way. I don't care. Do you want it? Get it. Or don't.
Starting point is 00:23:39 But on the topic of new stuff, we actually have brought it a lot of new things recently. I'm going to go down the list because we have a few of these. Slingbags. So we got Slingbags in partnership with NOMEDIC. We finally have mouse pads you can buy, gaming chairs, and new BLD things. But we'll talk about that afterwards. So Slingbag, mouse pads, and gaming chairs. I think we can write a rap song with this list.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Like, give me. Slings, mouse pads, gaming chairs. Like the migos. Sling bags, mouse pets. Give me chairs. Jit. Mama, poochie. Poochie.
Starting point is 00:24:20 So the sling bag is made by pneumatic. It's purple. You can see on our website with nzxte.co slash pad. Perfect for the young gamer on a scooter. Yeah. I must say. Perfect for new switch owners. Actually, what did you buy a case, Mike, if you have a sling bag?
Starting point is 00:24:37 I think it's perfect. I did. it by a case. He just said that I bought like three cases. I bought like game cartridge, like storage things, but not a natural case. You must protect the cartridges, man. You know that? Yeah. Oh, make sure that when you get your first cartridge, that
Starting point is 00:24:51 you lick the back of it, it says it's a really, really cool taste on the, on the contacts. Just like go full, full tongue on it. It's great. I'll French kiss it pretty much. That's kind of gross, but yeah. Yeah, but the sling bag is actually like, I don't wear
Starting point is 00:25:07 like bags, you know, like the fashion hype beast bags, but the slim bag is actually super nice. You're the last person I would think of when I think of fashion. Thanks. I know. You're rocking my joggers and my ultra boost, you know, whatever. Ain't nothing. But it's got a lot of room in it.
Starting point is 00:25:26 It's really light. It's comfy. It has a nice, you know, a nice little clasp on it. I know it sounds like a weird thing to, like, talk about. But that clasp is just super simple to use because it's like a magnet. It just clips right on there. It fits a lot of stuff too. I can fit like my wallet.
Starting point is 00:25:39 my Vave, if I can fit, like, keys, all my stuff, and my switch. I think I actually fit a shirt in there, too, during the pop-up because I had to change my shirt. I carry my, my scooter charger, my switch, my lunch. The sandwich that you eat before lunch? Yeah. That's Ivan, like, oh, Ivan, what's for lunch? He's like, well, my wife made me a sandwich, but I already ate it. I ate on the way to work because I was driving.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Did we get out the door and you're already munching on it? Yeah. The only reason I was driving is because my scooter has a flat tire. Can't figure out who's going to fix it for me. Just do it yourself, man. Like, you showed me the video with someone doing it. I don't look the hard. I don't get my hands dirty, man.
Starting point is 00:26:24 It'd be like that. Yeah. Mike, what's in your sling bag? Do you carry it to work? No, I don't carry it to work. I don't really bring anything else to work. I just bring my keys and stuff. You know, I try to stay light because I used to bring, like, everything to work,
Starting point is 00:26:37 but I would never use it. Why are you such an old man? Oh, I used to make my laptop. I used to bring up. I used to stay light. I was like, I don't need to bring anything. Everything's at work. But I think in the sling bag, when I get it, it's going to be switch.
Starting point is 00:26:53 It's going to be like a full switch, like everything, like the accessories, controllers, chargers, stuff like that. I think that's the only thing I'll be using it for. So you're bringing like the whole set of your accessories? Yes. Like three cases too? No. Inside the bag?
Starting point is 00:27:09 Yeah, I'm going to put the cases inside, and then I'm going to put a case for a case. Yeah, that's exactly. Yeah, it's just a key one. That's why I don't have a case on my phone or my switch or anything is like, because that is the case. You know, like, I know it's going to get scratched. I know it's going to drop and get things, but who cares? Yeah, too honest, though, I think you should have put a case on my phone because I dropped it the other day and now it gets really, really hot. So I think something happened to the battery
Starting point is 00:27:39 And it's not good That's a little Concerning Like I think yesterday I was on Instagram Because we swapped off And we had you do in Twitter My phone was like super hot While on Insta
Starting point is 00:27:52 I'm like why Like what is this app doing That's making my phone like burn up Like I really I almost had to the point where he couldn't touch it It was kind of annoying You should probably get that fixed up Or not you know
Starting point is 00:28:02 I just let it blow up my pocket I'm okay with that All right so next up is the mouse pad. So something people have asking a lot about. It's 33 by 13 inches anti-slit, extra large. I mean, it's a mouse pad. It has
Starting point is 00:28:17 an N60 on it's black. I like it. I have one in the office. I know Ivan likes his. I have a purple one. I don't have that one. Yeah, the old school purple ones. It's like super dirty too. It's like honestly kind of gross. You should really watch that thing, man. I probably should get a new one, but like I said,
Starting point is 00:28:36 I don't care about anything. That's my secret. That's your Hulk power. I'm too lazy to do things. You don't even replace the tire and your scooter. Too lazy to get a new mouse pad. Lazy.
Starting point is 00:28:53 All right. And the next step is the gaming chair. It's from Verdegear. That I'm sitting on right now, actually. I sit on a vertigure at work, but it's not the proper one. It's one of the white ones. But I want one. I want N-61. Flex on every one.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Super comfy. like so I can have the full the full nz-x-t experience in the office you got it you sit next to me yeah I know about that one chief all right and uh BLD game offers Ivan you want to take this one um sure give me one second let me get those offers for you
Starting point is 00:29:29 I don't even know what they are right now we got get control and Wolfenstein Youngblood for free when you buy a qualifying GForce RtX 20 series graphics card. And speaking of graphics cards, we just got the super cards in, I don't know the details of the superness,
Starting point is 00:29:53 but I do know, I guess the 2070s are like the same performance to the 2080s. That's pretty huge. It's actually a nice step up. I'm glad that Nvidia is kind of picking, kind of like upgrading their stuff. Can I, like, say Dr. Mario with it or no? Yeah, I'm sure. You can play Dr. Mara at 144 Hertz.
Starting point is 00:30:15 It'd be the smoothest Dr. Meyer that anybody's ever played. That's really pretty much it. I mean, I don't really look at those kind of deals and stuff. If people ask about them, I'll, like, find out and tell them, but that's not my job. My job is to post memes and stuff and get you all that buy-even. Yeah, because that's not your job. All right, so this is the part. I think everyone really wants to do, right?
Starting point is 00:30:44 The most exciting part, I think most people have been asking for it's the community club questions. People have a lot of questions for us and, you know, give them all these answers and they keep asking them. So question number one, I want to give this one to Ivan because he's been at the company the longest. What is the day at NSXT like? Every day is the same.
Starting point is 00:31:06 And by that, I mean, every day is different. So, yeah, every day is different. technically it is the same. I know. It just kind of depends, like, what's going on. Like, for example, today, like Friday is usually really
Starting point is 00:31:23 quiet at the office. A lot of people like to work from home or people are traveling or people might work half a day. So we took the opportunity to set up the podcast and test the podcast and all that stuff. If there's something going on like a pop-up or product launch or
Starting point is 00:31:41 or anything else, you know, we'll be working on that. But the one thing that is constant that never changes is talking to people, talking to the community. So all day long, no matter what day it is, whether it's a holiday or morning, middle of the night, whatever, like we're on social media and we're on Discord. We're everywhere. We don't sleep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Can't sleep. There's a lot of people talking to us, and we're talking a lot of people, and sometimes we're slow, sometimes we're fast, but we try to reply to every single person that's trying to talk to us. Yeah, even the DMs as well. It's very important to us. We definitely want to make sure that everyone is heard, right? That like no one is feeling left out, you know. You all have a voice.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Some of them may be asking the same question over and over. I'm sure you all know which one that is, but we'll still answer you. You may not like the answer, but we'll give you an answer. actually i i kind of want to ask this question to mike mike what is the day at n xxt like for you how do you find you get up in the morning well uh annie gives me my ass list she tells me what to do every day and oh do you think mike has his own trello just with him and annie um um let's let's see um i mean it starts that it starts off pretty much like the same you know just getting to the office, getting everything ready, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:12 um, replying to messages and DMs and stuff. But kind of like what Ivan said is that it's always different. Like you're always doing something new. Like we may be posting, you know, on Instagram or we may be posting on Twitter, Facebook or something like that, but everything is something new. It's either going to be like a new product that's being launched and you go, oh, we got to promote the new chairs and mouse pads.
Starting point is 00:33:34 People might be shocked to know that we put a lot of thought and effort and energy into into these like memes. Like for example, like today, like before we posted, you know, on Facebook this morning, we spent like three hours talking about that caption. A long time. And that's what we came up with. That's what we got. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:02 But it's true, though. I mean, we definitely, we don't sleep on it, you know? We don't want to be caught slipping. Yeah. But that question actually might be better asked to different people because all three of us work on the same team. So basically do the same thing every day. But every day is different if that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Yeah. No, actually, that's a good point. We should probably say this one for other people too. And say, hey, what's a day like for you at NZXT? You know, like, what do you do, Andy? What does Andy do every day? I don't even know if he knows. Like, well, uh...
Starting point is 00:34:38 I get roasted from 9 to 12, and then I cry from 12 to 1. And then I go grab Jersey mics for the third time this week, which is, by the way, another Andy quote, he just walks up to me and goes, I've had Jersey mics three times this week, and I'm going to go again. I'm like, okay. All right, Andy. But then this time, I might come with him because I actually really like Jersey Mike. Can you get me a meatball sub? Oh, my God. Do you want to tell the meat?
Starting point is 00:35:08 I don't want to. I'll let Andy tell that story. Oh, that's a good. Okay. Okay. We definitely going to write that down so that we do have Annie on the podcast. We say, Andy, can you just describe the meatball debacle? See what that's like.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Okay, next question. When will level 30 be a thing? So, it is a thing. Good question. So when we launched the whole reward system on the server last October, the rewards were initially levels 10, 20, and 30 and 40 because we only had four, like four tiers or whatever. But then people thought that it was taking too long to get to level 10. So I reduced level 10 to 5.
Starting point is 00:36:00 And then level 20 went to 10 and level 30 went to 40 and level 30 went to 40 and level 30. and level 40 went to 50 and level 60 is poochie. So right now there is nothing there. And I know people really want something there. So there's a lot that goes into actually figuring out what that thing is, not like just, you know, I can't just say, okay, everyone wants a coffee mug. So I'm going to order a bunch of coffee mugs and send it to everyone that has this role.
Starting point is 00:36:34 have to factor in the cost of making the product, the amount that we have to order, the amount we have to ship, the amount of people that are in the role, the cost of the packaging for shipping, like all these different things, and make sure that they're in line with everything else. So it all makes sense because it's not cheap. I'm not going to lie,
Starting point is 00:36:56 but we don't do it because we're trying to make a profit from it. We do it because we really do want to reward the community. and I do want to put something there as just it's been challenging finding what that thing is. It's also a time thing too, right? I mean, we're just really busy. That too, you know, it's like, I really haven't had time
Starting point is 00:37:15 to research too much of like what else can be in there, but I've just been researching the stuff people have been asking for. Like, the people have been asking for the mug, for socks, for... Sox is a brand. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:31 But I'm also looking at, looking at like other ways we can fix the whole level 30 thing is maybe changing the way we we have the role structured like it doesn't have to be 510 20 40 50 it could be you know something totally different so I'm working on it I know I'm just slow but hang in there please be patient yep working on it I hope that was a good answer people are going to be like that's not the answer you didn't say what it's going to be um should you just say never there's never going to be and then they'll just stop passing and then I'll do it for a nice point. Don't do it.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Just grind the poochie. Thanks. Don't grind on the server because we'll ban you for it. Don't abuse it. Okay, next question. I'll have this one for Mike. Mike, is eating tidepods good? Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:22 There we go. Good question. Thank you for taking it seriously and asking. People are starting hard-hitting. Tidepods. Yeah. That's another thing. was that.
Starting point is 00:38:33 I was going to confuse. Oh. And this was definitely for Ivan, because we were talking about this a little before. When will NZXT make as much stuff as Coursair, ram, deodorant, water cooling stuff, etc. I wasn't really mean that either. You made breathmints before. Yeah. Well, I guess the first part of that question is we will never make anything like them or anyone else.
Starting point is 00:38:59 We will only do what we want. do and we don't want to make a lot of stuff. We think less is more and simpler is harder. So that's why you look at our case lineup, it's small, medium, large. We don't have a lot of options. You go to, you know, other companies' websites and it's like 50, 100, 200 cases sometimes. And we don't want that. We don't want to confuse people. We want to make things easier for them. The same way we want our products to make it easier, even the option or having the choices we give them, we want it to be simpler too. So, you know, we're, we are expanding our product lines. Like, for example, the mouse pad, like people have been asking for us to make a mouse pad forever, and we just started
Starting point is 00:39:43 making it this week, right? We're put it on our website last week. Gaming chairs and everything. The sling bags. So I don't know. I don't think we'll ever, we're not in a race to, you know, like, oh, we have to make more RAM than these guys, or we have to do this because, you know, because they're doing it. We just do, we have our plan and we go slow. We might be slow, but we always win. That's what I like to say. So we're like the, we're like a turtle in the story, right?
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah, we are the turtle. Green, wait a minute. Yeah, it takes a really long time for us to make products, not because we're lazy, but it's because we really do try to solve a problem with every product you make. Because it's very easy, like, to just, okay, let's just put a logo on things and sell it. But I don't think people would buy NZXT deodorant. Or will they?
Starting point is 00:40:45 I don't know. And if you do, you might have a problem. Yeah. Just going to throw that one out there. If you really want deodorant, maybe you get to rethink your priorities. It's like, I would buy deodorant, but only from NZXT. It's out there stinking up the whole world because we don't make deodorant. That's like a personal problem.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Okay. So last of the committee questions. But we do have a poppy question. This is Poppy advice question. And actually, this one is really good. I'm glad we got this one as our first question. Poppy, how do I find a girl who's into gaming? What would you offer advice or what is the advice you would offer to this? I'm assuming young man. Who knows? Young person. I guess I would find a girl for what? for just to play video games with or to date, to marry, to what, you know, I guess I need
Starting point is 00:41:39 more context here, but I don't know, just play video games, man. There's more girls playing video games than guys, believe it or not. The numbers don't lie. Yep, stats. The average gamer is, I believe, a 40-year-old female. That's, and that's, like, worldwide, so they're out there. Yeah, you got to be like an intern Mike and think about the calories in your cereal. You're going to meet them the same place you meet gamer guys, and that's playing video games.
Starting point is 00:42:11 So just play video games. You hear that, folks? If you want a gamer guy, so you get them. Same place. Video games. Yeah, I mean, I don't think like you would, if you're going to try to look for someone, I don't think it's just because they don't game is, that's going to be the end-all be-all, like, situation.
Starting point is 00:42:31 I think it's just like, you find this girl or person and you end up liking them. Love. Love finds you, not the other way around. Exactly. That's a really good way to put it. I was using like a dating app, then you're actively looking for it, right? It's all different. Oh, maybe we should start like a NXT dating app.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Gamersonly.com. gamersonly.com. first question do you play on console and that I'll allow you to the website or not like yes and it's like sorry but you're incompatible do you own five switch cases you're accepted congratulations go find your love all right so um with that I think we're going to go ahead and call it here um for the first podcast um but before we do that was a really really really boring podcast. I know, right. I never want to do this again. I hope
Starting point is 00:43:33 people say they hate it, so we can just tell everyone, yeah, they didn't like it. We're not going to do it anymore. Before we do, we do want to let you know. Obviously, check out our Twitter, you know, our Instagram, our Facebook, it's all NZXT. If you aren't already, if you somehow got to hold this podcast
Starting point is 00:43:49 and you're not in the Discord, you're not in the NXT Club, please join the club. N6T.com slash club. And you can learn about what you can get for being in it. Number one is friendship, friendship and wholesome anime memes. It's actually what I like about our
Starting point is 00:44:05 Discord is that because we moderate it so heavily, we have a great anime community where a lot of them kind of spiraled down to like super degeneracy. It's very wholesome and actually a lot of fun. And I'm in there a lot. That channel on Discord for me is always gray. I'm always
Starting point is 00:44:21 reading it. So I'm always watching what you guys are saying. I shouldn't delete that channel then. That's why you're not posting memes. talking about anime. Everyone those real gamers don't watch anime. Exactly. I'm not a real gamer because I play Dr. Mario on my phone.
Starting point is 00:44:40 We also just started up a Facebook group called hashtag N6T setup. So you can find it on our NZXT Facebook, which I would recommend checking out. We have some pretty cool people out there who are posting some interesting builds and interesting setups. And we do feature the setups there. So if you want to show up what you got, You know, you're a nice setup with your lighting and all your monitors and, you know, your nanolieves, which apparently everyone has. You're not a real gamer.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Shout out to all the top fans. Shout out to the top fans. Ooh, we should do a top fans only podcast for Facebook. They're all top fans. Oh, got them. So check that out and say hi. Post your setup. And you might get featured, which I think is pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:45:26 But probably not. Yeah, yeah. Probably. Hey, man, the odds are against them. I'm not going to lie. It has to be a really good picture. So you take a picture, make sure the quality is high. It's a whole set up.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Not just a build. Make sure there's no Cheeto dust on your mouse pad, you know? Clean it up a little. I want to show the nice ones. How'd your Xbox? If you have it on there on your desk, it's negative points. There's a sliding scale that we use for how good a build is. And if there's a console, we dock a couple points.
Starting point is 00:45:57 That's not true. No, we definitely don't. Actually, I think some of the nicer setups that we have on that page have a bunch of stuff on them. They have an Xbox and they have a switch and they have like a place for or something. Probably at least 20 consoles in the office. Yeah, I mean, I carry my switch pretty much everywhere I go. You know, you can't be without the video games. So with that, guys, thank you very much for joining us.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I really appreciate it. Be on the lookout for a form on the Discord so you can get your opinions and thoughts and your criticism. and your nonsensical answers. I have a criticism. Go ahead. Well, I guess not a criticism, but a suggestion. All right. Since you're the boss here.
Starting point is 00:46:39 I am the boss. Can we do this live? I don't know. That'll probably be one of the questions that we'll ask in the form. You should. Can we do this live? And if we do, where do you want to see it? Like Twitch, Mixer, YouTube,
Starting point is 00:46:53 we can send our own radio station. I think Discord would be cool. If we have a private, or not a private, but just a podcast channel where everyone's media except us, and then we just unmute the people we want to talk to and let them ask questions or interview them, whatever, I think it would be a lot more fun than you just reading questions to me because you're very boring. I think you're very boring. I think you get to bring up your level of enthusiasm for this podcast, Ivan.
Starting point is 00:47:24 You wanted me to do this. Don't forget. You asked me during the interview. This is me doing it. Was my enthusiasm level low? It always is. It's an old man.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I think the last time I saw you get excited was over Dr. Mario launching. Oh, man. And the mangoes. Oh, the mangoes. It's pretty good. All right, guys. Thanks a lot, and we'll see you next time.
