Starting point is 00:00:52 And welcome to the N60 Club podcast number zero zero eight. I'm done ZXT. With me today we have Ivan ZXT. Hello, greetings. Happy Wednesday, y'all. Happy Wednesday. And special guest is Dom ZXT. Hey, what's up?
Starting point is 00:01:08 Good. How you're doing? You messed up. You didn't play his intro music, man. Oh, yeah, huh? Sorry. Okay, rewind. You spend like 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Rewin. Rew-br-br-br-R-R-R-R-R-W. All right, let's start a lower from the beginning. Okay. Go. Rew-Rewin. Okay, rewind. We start us over again.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Let me cue the music up. Everyone be quiet, pretend like this never happened. Everybody, take number two to the N60 podcast number 0.008. My name is Den ZXT. With me today, we have Ivan, as always. Happy Wednesday, y'all. And we have Dom. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:01:57 The one, the only. And you still messed it up. Hey, I told you. This is why I didn't want to do this. This is why you don't want to do this. It's all right. No, no, no. I mean, if you want, he can.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Let me do this. All right. Hey, Dom. You're Dom. Everybody here's Dom. Oh, yeah, that's the one. Turn down for Dom, baby. Turn down for Dom.
Starting point is 00:02:25 All right. Yeah, turn down for Dom, baby. So for those who do not know what this is, this is the weekly NZXT Club podcast where we talk about pretty much whatever we want, but mostly centered around the NXT community. And we try to bring on a guest
Starting point is 00:02:39 every single week from the community. We've been going through all of our which are actually employees at NZXT. So today we have Dom. How's it going, Dom? Good, good. What about you guys? Doing good, miho.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Didn't fine, just chilling. Just hanging out here on a podcast with my favorite customer support representative. I'm the best one. Yeah. What's your official title? Customer service representative. Oh, number two. Who's the first one?
Starting point is 00:03:05 There's no first one. Oh. It's just the name of the title. Okay. It means he makes the big bucks. Yeah. I've been here the longest. than everybody else up.
Starting point is 00:03:16 He's also the oldest person in his company. I haven't older than me. But you look older. No. Yes. Let's take a vote right now. The pictures are up. I posted pictures of us earlier.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I don't have great chin hair. You don't even have chin hair. Barely. So for those who may not know, we are also recording this podcast live through the NXT Discord. If you want to join, you happen to find this through SoundCloud or some other way. It's a Discord.
Starting point is 00:03:43 gg slash nzxte you can join our fabulous community of 80,000 right 80, 80,000 strong. Actually, it's 89,000. Oh, we're close at 90K? Almost 90K. Are we doing a giveaway for the 90K? No. Okay, remind you. Thank you, Vivian.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Thanks, Vivian. So we will be kind of reacting and answering questions live in a little bit after we have a couple of, you know, a few moments here to talk with Dom and has asked him a bunch of questions. So if you want to get out of the action, definitely join on. And I think we'll be recording Wednesdays for now on, right? That's the plan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Dennis was complaining this morning about that when I told him this, actually. He's like, because every morning, the first thing I do when I get home from or when I get to the office is I open up Trello and I just make a checklist of all the stuff we got to do. And we just basically check it off one by one. And today I put something on there and Dennis shows up to the office and he's like, why are we recording today? And I was like, hey, man, I think. Not at all how I asked it. I think if we could record today, because I put a question mark even on fellow. It's more question is like, oh, like, oh, so are recording on Wednesdays now?
Starting point is 00:04:49 Like, what's the, what's the plan? Yeah, we record on Wednesdays. That gives us Thursday to edit, upload, where we need to upload. And then Friday, we basically blasted out there. So Friday, everybody says, yeah. Man, Dennis hates working, man. You don't like working here? We're talking about.
Starting point is 00:05:03 We've been setting up the podcast, Don was like telling me to do something. I'm like, why do you think I hired Dennis? Dennis, fix it. man yeah come on Dennis I don't have a problem recording on Wednesdays you know I'm always joking
Starting point is 00:05:16 I got a problem with corn on Wednesdays Ivan alright just you know we just keep changing stuff and then and then we don't get a what I think we'll get 13 12 people
Starting point is 00:05:25 like last week who were in the in the podcast channel it's funny because I'm just staring at Dom right now because he's right across for me and like I don't want to
Starting point is 00:05:32 not look at like look away because every time I do I notice myself getting quieter so I'm staring right in the Dom's eyes you could look at my eyes it's good
Starting point is 00:05:40 Okay. So Dom, I was going to start this right away because I heard some rumors about you. And I want to get some confirmation about who you are where you've been in what you're all about. I heard you used to be a pro kind of strike player. Back in the day. Back in the day. So what's the story behind that? Because I think we were grabbing pizza with Ivan, right? And there was like some discussion and debate.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I started playing CS right before the beta stopped. And then it became beta of which version it kind of The first one. The very first one. She was just like pre. He's the oldest guy in the company. 3.1.6. This is when like the M4 had a scope on it.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Okay. Dom actually had to go to physical military boot camp. So then I kind of stopped playing. And then it became 1.2. And then I started getting competitive into it. And used to play with a lot of who, you know, famous pros now, right? back then. Yeah. You know, Mo?
Starting point is 00:06:42 Yeah. Mo, I used to play with Mo. I used to play with Sean Gares. I know his little brother too. Yeah. Sean Gares, I used to play with him. Trout. Shroud was barely up and coming when I started. Dang, talk to smack on Shrout? Dang. On the podcast?
Starting point is 00:06:57 Wow. And then nothing, Jordan. Sharon was nothing when I was around. He was as a baby. They were young. They were really young at the time. So, like, I wish I kind of started later on. but I mean it is what it is so I started playing a lot more
Starting point is 00:07:13 getting competitive that's when Cal League was around and then I just started you know playing with more people playing in pugs and then that's when I met Sean Gares he was on a team called Delusional just playing with them
Starting point is 00:07:32 and got on the team from Delusional I went to a couple other teams that really that big And then the biggest team I was on was called Weekend Warriors. And they were CPL. It was called CPL at the time. I remember CPL, yeah. So they had a lot of really cool maps too.
Starting point is 00:07:50 The CPL maps are also good. Before we continue, Dom, just want to say your volume is really low. There you go. Dennis. There you go. Oh, wow. I can hear you now, Don. Anyway, so.
Starting point is 00:08:02 You just talk loud. Once I can fix it here. Once I got on that Weekend Warriors team, they were already dying down. but I tried to get on and we were trying to like rebuild it a lot of people a lot of the pros kept on coming back and we're just trying so yeah I got around the scene and then I stopped when I had my son you know daddy dish daddy daddy came around so I remember when when you first started working at nzxte I remember I somehow got in touch with Sean Gehras about something or something happened on Twitter and then you you like oh I know I know I'm I'll just help him. And I was like, really, you can help him? Like, I know. I'm like, okay.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Then you just like started helping him. And I was like, that's pretty cool. Yeah, I sent some, he had an H440 for his wife now. And he needed some help. Like, he wanted me to go to his house to help him install a Corsair cooler. And I was like, I could help you. But I think I talked. Didn't his wife build a computer on stream?
Starting point is 00:08:59 On stream with our case. And we walked through it. Yeah. Yeah, I remember that was long. They were having issues in there like, do you mind coming down? And then I remember, I think I talked to a, to talk to Ivan or somebody else. They're like, yeah, but I think they figured it out after a while.
Starting point is 00:09:14 And we're old, man. That happened a long time. That was when I barely started. I've been here for like four years, right? Actually, on the 15th, it'll be my four years. Yeah, congrats. 50th of this month. This month.
Starting point is 00:09:26 You basically graduated from high school. I know. Four years. I think about that. So you've been in pretty much since like the beginning then, right? Yeah. So like I said, once my son came around, I said, stopped playing you know I had my responsibilities and then I used to work at New Egg and then I
Starting point is 00:09:44 left New Egg I went some other company for like accounting and then that company got bought out and then I went to Warner Brothers and I was like out of the PC scene like I didn't know I didn't know like what was coming out what was going on and then Freddie you know Freddie Ivin he's like hey remember NXT this company like the cases I was like At first, the case were like, those cases that look like robots, like a guardian case and everything. And he's like, yeah, I worked there. He was a marketing guy at that time. And back story, both me and Freddie worked at New Age.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Yeah. And Dom were getting, so all three of us worked at New York. Yeah. And Freddie and I both worked at NZXC at this time. Yeah. So my friend Freddie got me the job. And then that's when I just got back into the play of things of PC hardware and everything. And then I went back to CS and I was like, what the heck is the CX?
Starting point is 00:10:37 ESGO stuff. Oh, okay. And I didn't know. And like my PC at the time would not run it. So I just got back in. Like CSGO, like the launch is a long time ago. And he also can't play it because he's a hacker. I don't. I never cheat. Dumb. dumb. Just simple yes or no question. Back bans? Simply yes. I've never got a backband. No. Have you ever been accused of hacking? Yes, all the time. I get accused of hacking. Okay. You guys the people I play with here. I always get accused of hack. Are you hacking right now? No. Are you sure? I never packed. Okay. Not once. Okay. Bring out the light detector. All right. Uh, let me let me let me let me tell you. I told you. I told you. I told you. Let me play. Let me talk story. One time in CS 1.6 where I did try it and I got banned from my own server. Okay. Hold up. But I never did it in a competitive place. I'm going to run the detector over you right now. All right. Let me hook them up. Hold on. Let me hook them up. Okay. Let me plug you in. Don't move. Don't move. Don't move. Stop sweating. Yep, that's it.
Starting point is 00:11:40 He's lying. He's lying. He's a big liar. Okay, so you stop like around, so you were playing in 1.6, right? Yes. Okay, and then you didn't touch source. I did touch source. I was like Cal Main, ESE, Maine's.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Okay. So you're still playing that, right? I was, and then I just. Conition Zero? Never? Never touched it. It's terrible. CS.
Starting point is 00:12:05 And then there was like CS ProMod. The CS Pro mod was horrible. Have you played CSGO recently? Yeah, I just played it like a week ago. I have no idea what the heck is going on with that game now. And I haven't played in the last, man, like two years. Yeah, it's totally different. It's totally different.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I mean, a bunch of the guys that I used to play with before that were professional, they're coming back. Like, everybody's coming back. It's weird. And we played it, and we got smashed by these other guys. These kids pretty much are in the smoke spots, these flashes, and I'm just like, I'm dead. I give up. I dropped my guns and I just died.
Starting point is 00:12:37 That's why I quit playing CSGO is because in order to play that game, you have a good team. It's not a game. You just play by yourself. You need four other guys that you play with every single day for hours consistently, like day after day because if you don't do that, am I doing that? I was noticing how sensitive to the mics are today for some reason. I don't know why they are.
Starting point is 00:13:00 We're mixing macaroni and cheese every day. You don't play like that every day. It's just. That's how you know when the, setups are good, right? End up, you know, getting murked every time you're playing. Yeah, you need a team because you need to go over strategy. I mean, look at Gareth now, Sean.
Starting point is 00:13:19 He's an analyst now for like ESL or whatever major that comes out. I haven't kept up with any CS stuff. Yeah, now he's up there. He doesn't play as much. He's not on a team anymore. But he's like one of the, he's like one of the best or the, smartest in-game leader so he knows the game in and out so I hit him up here and there but he's always busy he's on the go he's always flying out and everything he has as
Starting point is 00:13:45 kids too so there's a kid now cool yeah but now it works right like it's just like you like people grow up and they start lives right and like yeah time to dedicate the game anymore and some people still find some way to do it and so it's crazy that they do like I I can't I can't fathom how it is to like balance that kind of career that that kind of career especially if you're playing like the pro scene which is it moves so fast and then trying to raise kids. Yeah. And Dom, I've met Dom's son. He's a great kid.
Starting point is 00:14:14 He's 13, 14? He just turned 15 last month. Man, 15. 15. Did he throw a canseñeda for him? No, he didn't want anything. So, for, his name is Mijito. Mijito Jr. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Mihito Jr. Wait a minute. It's up less. Yeah, we're recording from a different room right now, so this room, like everybody can just walk past. This is the Kendrick Lamar Studio. It's a be humble room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Took a second. Like, huh? What? But yeah, now I'm just into Siege. I play that almost every day with a couple people from here. Yeah, notice. I see on the Discord and like you're always on. What do you keep pointing at the screen for, dude?
Starting point is 00:14:58 Oh, I'm just pointing at the screen because people are complaining about the audio. They always complained about the audio. People are saying it's echo-y. People are saying they hear that. Yeah, that's. Well, I mean, I'm trying to fix it right now. Like if I turn up the compensator super loud, I can catch everything, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Part of the reason why the audio is fluctuating week to week is because we don't have a permanent setup. So it's also part of the reason why you don't find the podcast on iTunes and things like that is because we want to have a permanent setup before doing so so we don't run into this issue. So bear with us in the meantime. We do have a lot of cool gear, right? Yeah. We need, we still need some more stuff though. Yeah, we need, we just, it's just like small things, you know, that like we just still need to figure out.
Starting point is 00:15:45 But for the most part, like the equipment's fine. I talked to an audio guy the other day and it's like the mixer for sure is like apparently not like the best mix in the world for like live recording. So the equipment is fine, but the people who run it are morons. Exactly. So, you know, he's going to get rid of them and bring in people who know how to do this stuff all the time. Yeah. I think like the last podcast I actually ran. what's like back in the Destructo days, like 2008, 2009.
Starting point is 00:16:08 It was the, we called it the anime cast. Because we liked to talk about anime, but we weren't like super sweaty about it. So like it was going to have that little like joke on it, you're going to take off the edge. It's like, yeah, we like anime, but we're not like super creepy nerds. So, you know, it's like anime for cool people, which doesn't really exist, but we tried to do it. Okay, so you've been with N60 almost 15 years. So, 15 years. Four.
Starting point is 00:16:34 My son's 50 years. Oh, sorry, my bad. For some reason, I heard 15 years, like 15 years is a long time to deal with the within 60. Okay, so when you, when you were here, who was, who was here? Like who? I think I've been just barely started like a few months before, huh? Like six months at least? I think I started like in April the previous year.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Oh, yeah, you're a year ahead of me. Okay. honestly this is incredibly distracting having everyone to walk through the door never recording in the start ignoring yeah it's never recording in this room again and uh no mental note mcke will never be on this podcast
Starting point is 00:17:14 yeah he can't hear this but we're staring at him right now yeah uh you know what and just because of that i'm deleting the cars channel today oh car's town's gone yeah sorry sorry guys just block mackay from it blend mackay door yeah um who
Starting point is 00:17:31 was here. It's all new people now. There's only a few of us. I mean, I don't even consider myself an original. There's people have been here longer than me. But four years and higher. Yeah, like, there's only
Starting point is 00:17:45 a few of us left. Yeah, from when you started, I can say the people that are still here, Nying, Shin, Melody, Johnny, Eugene, Christine, Christina. Christina. Christina. Christina.
Starting point is 00:18:01 It's probably like 10 people, give a take. Yeah. Everybody's new. So like you, Dennis. And then back then we were a lot smaller. Like, it was literally 20 people in one, one room. That was our, that was NXT. Yep.
Starting point is 00:18:15 And now we're 212 people in, in many rooms. Tom, when, when did you realize that NXT was like going to be big? Yesterday. We were invited into the podcast. Yeah. Whoa, we have a podcast now? Damn, we made it. We have a podcast.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Yes. Honestly, was like the very moment you came in or like, hey, we're moving to a new office. We started to build. Like, when did you know? Like, okay. It had to be when build came on. I mean, it was funny too because when it came on, everybody was like,
Starting point is 00:18:54 this is probably not going to work. Right. And then all of a sudden it was going, going, going. and we were getting calls maybe here and there tickets here and there we're still dealing with our backlog tickets and then when we
Starting point is 00:19:10 well when we got Ninja we got Ninja like right in the bright moment that's when I was just like literally signed Ninja the day before you streamed with yeah oh really? Yeah that's funny like we lucked out honestly we looked out and then that right there
Starting point is 00:19:26 that and I just remember that next day was crazy for CS to find. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, wow. I couldn't even use Twitter for a week. So it was actually like a big, like it flux like, like, like crazy. Was he?
Starting point is 00:19:39 I think we told Ivan to shut down the deep, well shut down Twitter DMs. Well, basically, yeah, because we were, when we announced Ninja, we did a giveaway and, and he was, you know, his came, yeah, it was just like, you would open up Twitter. Yeah, it would just freeze. Like, it was just like, everyone. Yeah. You couldn't, you can use it for like a week.
Starting point is 00:19:56 100, like we got maybe like 200,000 new Twitter followers like that day. Wow. It was nuts. And then I after that. I mean, even before that I liked,
Starting point is 00:20:06 obviously I liked NGXT and I was like, cool, I could see this company getting bigger and growing. Even if it's cases and the hardware. But once Bill came, dude, it was like,
Starting point is 00:20:15 yeah, it's taking off for sure. So, and I'm still want to be here. So I see it getting a lot bigger. A lot of, a lot of good things coming. No, we're done.
Starting point is 00:20:27 We're done. Yeah, this podcast is the last of it. Yeah. We already took over the world. We're done. I think when I was hired, Johnny told me, listen,
Starting point is 00:20:36 all I wanted is a podcast. Once that's done, I'm retiring. Yeah. I'm shutting down NCXD forever. NCAXT podcast network. Go hang out someone else's Discord now.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Go away. You should have a... Shutting it down. He should make a podcast for each channel we have on the server. The podcast for each channel. Oh, actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Anime podcast.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Carge podcast. I'm down for an anime podcast. You have no idea. And then we can have a moderator slash lead for each channel. We have a playground channel. We just mess around with stuff. Yeah, that'd be cool.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Let's break things. So I didn't even think about the Ninja thing. Like that that would be like a strain on CS. Yeah, it was. Well, the thing with Ninja is and build. So before build and Ninja, NZXT was a PC,
Starting point is 00:21:24 component manufacturer. We never sold computers. We never sponsored streamers. And we weren't really known as a quote-unquote gaming company. We were known as a hardware company. And then with build, we actually became a gaming company at that point because then we were selling computers that the same way you can buy an Xbox or the same way by a PlayStation, a switch, etc. The only difference was we had spent the previous 15 years designing and manufacturing this beautiful hardware and now we were just putting it all together so that's one of the reasons our builds look so good is because we've basically been our specialty is design so when we build it it just looks good together and um so build made us a gaming company i think and then uh ninja
Starting point is 00:22:12 opened our audience to a bunch of people who weren't even PC gamers like because fortnight people play on the mobile phone their tablet whatever right Xbox a position their switch So that's when before, the majority of our community was made up of people in, like, their mid-20s. And with Ninja, like, now, like, the average, I don't know the exact average, but now we have a lot more younger teenagers, basically. Yeah, right. And especially, like, on Instagram, I'm sure you notice. A lot of the people are much younger. Instagram's a lot of kids.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I have a special plan for a post tonight, and I'm going to see how well it does. Yeah, I think it's a good one. It's going to be a hit. It's going to be a hit that. is going to confirm something for me that I don't want to be confirmed. I don't want it to work, but if it works, then we got to. Is it going to get us Twitter DMs? No, so, so there's actually why I was talking about the ninja stuff,
Starting point is 00:23:06 because there's a lot of things that affect customer service that you don't think about, right? So, like, what are some of those things that you notice? Like, what did that? Yeah, it's like our memes. The memes, the, the little one that you had with the, the Seance saying, like, Free PC, that killed us. That was the first meme I ever made that went viral. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Like that was like, I can, I did not believe that that, I think got like 20-something thousand likes and retweets, man. Yeah. And every morning I come in, I see we have a view for Twitter DMs and I look out social media page. I was like, dang it, Ivan. I remember we did the post where it was like, we fire the social media team and now the PR team is here. And people were like legitimately surprised. And then Dom's like, what did you do on Facebook? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:52 What? What did you guys do? Everybody's getting mad at us. People were really mad. Or when we said real gamers don't watch anime? Yeah, we got a lot of angry. People still many customer service. Got a lot of angry DMs.
Starting point is 00:24:03 How dare you make fun of the weep culture? Yeah, because everybody thinks Ivan answers a lot of the DMs. No, it's customer service. Yeah. The customer service team, they're the ones that handle the Twitter DMs. When it was just me and the customer service team wasn't helping and Dennis wasn't here, I just had DMs off. I was like, I just, we get so many messages already.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Yeah, we do. Everywhere that I just had no time by myself. But I wanted to turn them on. That's when I was like, well, customer service and social media for NZXT is the same. It's all customer service. Yeah. We treat social media as a customer service communication tool, right? It's not like just want to post ads and sell to you.
Starting point is 00:24:43 So it just like, it was like a no-brainer. It was like we get the same questions. People ask the social media team the same thing. They ask the customer service team a lot of times. So why not have the customer service team reply to those DMs and turn them on? And it really helped a lot. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:59 We get like, hey, well, like you used to get the ones like my ticket number. And I can just do it right there because I'm already in the ticketing system. Exactly. And then like troubleshooting or not even troubleshooting, like just help with their case or something. Like you just do it right there. And it also gives you guys a chance to have a lot more fun. Because customer service. We have a lot of fun with the DMs.
Starting point is 00:25:15 I'm telling you that. Yeah, because no one sends you funny things in the ticket, right? And I'm sure a ticket. But on Twitter DM, you can have some fun. and, you know, everyone that works at NSXT is basically, like, do you guys think I'm funny? Like, there's people here that are funnier than me. Like, everyone here is basically a clown.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Yeah. Everyone messes with each other. Everyone here, you know, loves interacting with the community. So it's been really, really great having the customer service team involved like that. Yeah, it's cool to talk to the people on the Twitter DM. It's funny, too, sometimes. And there's times where I go back and forth with people, and we're just like.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Yeah. Yeah, so that's what it's all about. It's not even about having a good time or bad time is just communicating with our community or whether they're a customer or not, just the people that are, you know, there. Like, if they want to talk to us, we want to talk to them. Yeah. Yep. I got a DMs all the time.
Starting point is 00:26:10 So I'm surprised you, you respond to Michael. If you take the time to send the message, then why the heck wouldn't we respond? Yeah. We get that a lot. It's literally my job to do it, so what don't I do it? That's why we do it. Yeah. Like, we get a lot.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Like, hey, give me a free PC. They don't think they were in response to us. Yeah. This one is an epic company. Let's see. That's epic, who can we come like this? That's epic.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Bro, poochie chilling again. Yeah. I mean, so, like, did a really bad job to kind of explaining
Starting point is 00:26:37 what we're reading there, but basically it's just a snapshot of a DM from one of our users in the Discord. It's actually a yellow name too, so I didn't even say the ranks. I just say the,
Starting point is 00:26:47 the name of the color. Like, dang, red names at it again, you know, trying to be sneaky or something like that. To me, everyone's the same rank. Everyone's, I only see purple.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Everyone's purple. Except for the actual purple names, right? I see everything in purple except for me. I'm orchid. Oh, God. So, Dom, what would you say makes our social, our customer service team special compared to other places you work out? Because we go above and beyond.
Starting point is 00:27:15 I think we go above and beyond. What does that mean? Way better than any other. Like New Egg. Okay. I mean, yes, they sell everything else. Uh-huh. Not just their own parts, obviously.
Starting point is 00:27:25 We sell it. Like, when it comes to our own parts, we help up the customer, like, just to whatever they need. Like, we go, like, we go to their limit. Yeah, I had someone message me, like, hey, I have an H-440 and my USB ports don't work. Like, what I do. My contact customer support to what they could do. He sends me a message later, hey, they're going to send me a new board so I can plug my stuff into my computer. I'm like, that's what I thought.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Like it's just pretty much. And like that's the thing is like previous companies that I worked out, I could, I would send people to customer service and I would feel scared to like they would come back and be angry at me. But I know like if I direct someone to customer service, they're going to get taken care of. So it's always like I never have a problem saying, I don't know this. Talk to CS. They'll help you. And then they literally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:12 I think the number one reason why our customer service team is so good is because it's not just a customer service team doing customer service. You know, it's the whole company doing customer service. We really, you know, we really do value our customers. And, I mean, our customer service, they're in the front lines, obviously, but it's not uncommon for the social media team to help people. It's a lot uncommon for, like Vivian to help people. It's not uncommon for anyone here to just go step out of like what their quote unquote job is. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:44 And then help potential or not even a customer, just a person that needs help. Yeah, there's like once in a great while where we'll have to. to go to our manager and be like, can we do this? But other than that, it's like, we want to help the customer as much as we can. I mean, even if they are out of the warranty, it just depends on what it is. It's based on the situation. But most of the time, we're like, yeah, we'll help you out. No problem.
Starting point is 00:29:08 What's the, say, in the last year, what's the oldest product that you've had to help somebody with? The century. The century. Hold of that case. No, it's a fan controller. Oh, the fan control. My bad, my bad. Not even the century three or the century two. It was like century Alex E.
Starting point is 00:29:25 What was the problem with it? Just dead. I was just like, why do you still have this? Maybe surprised. I took a I took an Instagram story of our little Museum we have in the front that we're building out and it was the Phantom and the Hyper Beast, right? And people like, oh man, I still have this case and they think somebody I don't know if they sent an email yet. Actually is it got a follow up with Ivan on it, but they said they had one of our older cases. I forget what it was called, like the aura, aces. It's like an old case.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Lexa? Lexa. Yeah, it was Alexa, yeah. So he asked if you wanted it. And I'm like, let me talk to the person who's curating the thing. But yeah, some people keep stuff for like a long time. Yeah. We have a lot of customers that like, hey, they have a like the Alexa case or the tempest.
Starting point is 00:30:11 And they're like, do you still have parts for this? We're like, no, sorry. I wish we could help you, but. Yeah. Sorry, we don't have any parts for it. And they're just like, I figure, just, you know, doesn't. hard to try but breaking news guys breaking news i just got a message here in the social media slack chat on nz60 slack chat nzxti just hit 30 000 subscribers on on reddit that's it
Starting point is 00:30:32 cool i just wanted to mention that because um i always feel bad because like we don't pay as much as much attention to reddit well you don't but i'm on there every day but i mean i see it but like i don't like comment on this enough that's doing like on instagram or twitter facebook and there's a very good reason for that because Reddit's on social media and your social media specialist. Oh, snap. You don't know your own job? No. No, Reddit was never.
Starting point is 00:30:57 It's on my Trello boards. It's on my Trello boards. It's on Trello board. It's on Trello's when we look at it. If I wanted Dennis to look at Reddit every day, I would just add it to that checklist. But I don't add it to that checklist because sometimes he does when I need you there. But for the most part, you know, it's Reddit is not like, um. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Like, I don't really go to Reddit for social stuff. I go to it for news. Yeah. Yeah. And if I go to our subreddit before it used to be people that complained all the time. Yeah, and now it's all builds. And I would have to go on there and be like, just please submit a ticket. There's literally nothing we can do on Reddit.
Starting point is 00:31:26 But what has happened in the last year or so without us promoting it, like we went from like 5,000 to like, no, well, we just have 30,000 people. Yeah. And now people are posting a lot of builds, which is cool. Evan, do you want to tell that news again? Evan, I heard you had some breaking news about Reddit. Yes, yes. Breaking news, breaking news. warning warning we just hit 30,000 subscribers on our subreddit
Starting point is 00:31:52 there we go okay okay sorry so you're saying yeah thank you for the 30 thousand subscribers we've you know like I said in the last year I think I went from like 5,000 and 30 thousand so that's pretty cool without us ever telling people to like hey subscribe to the reddit yeah I mean we don't really do any promotion from any of our social media just let them run and then they you know but just do what we do best and they take care of themselves to the most part. I'll do too much that respect.
Starting point is 00:32:23 So, Dom, who is your favorite person in customer service besides yourself? And why is it, Lauren? That's my manager. I have to respect. There you go, that's it. That's the answer. I told her she has to be on the podcast too.
Starting point is 00:32:39 What does she say? She says she's shy. You can't be shy. You talk to customers a lot of day. She's like, you're right. I'll be on there. So she'll be on her. You have to get her on here.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Didn't really take them a lot. Honestly. Okay. I can't answer that. Say something nice about each your co-workers. I thought. Each of the coworkers? Yeah, because there aren't that many, right?
Starting point is 00:32:56 There's been like, what, five or six guys in CS? Nine. Now there's nine now? Okay. So say something nice about each of them except for the new guy because he just started a day. You don't know him. Well, I mean, the new guy. Or you can.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Do know him here. Well, he's James's friend, Abeney. Okay. I mean, he seems cool, and he knows his stuff. Yeah. So, kudos to that. We don't have to train him as much. That's good.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Matt, I mean, he's funny. Just talking to him. He's always funny. Dakota. Have you guys ever talked to Dakota? Yeah. A little bit, yeah. He's a coin collector.
Starting point is 00:33:27 He's a coin collector. He's a coin collector, for sure. He buys silver, too. He buys, like, legit, like silver, silver? Yeah. Like, not like silver, like, grills. I just like him because his Twitter name is Elon Musk. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:33:41 His Twitter name is Elon Musk. Is he serious? Dakota, he's a cool guy, dude. He helps out. Well, he's the one to go to for escalation calls. Oh, really? And he just has that, he's really calm. You kind of have to be cool when your name is Dakota.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I was like, you have no choice. It's like, you better be cool. No, it was funny too. So when we hired Dakota, I seen his resume, and I was like, I'm hiring him just because his last name. Dakota Grizzle. I always say his name is Dakota Grizzly. Grizzly, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And now we call him Dakota. and that was all because of Lauren. But yeah, I mean, honestly, everybody's good in the team. We all get along. I mean, there's sometimes here and there where it's like, it's all guys in a room. So there's sometimes.
Starting point is 00:34:27 You only said nice things about two of them. So I'm kind of worried about the other guys in the room. You call it a room. I call it a sweat, sweat shop. Dude. It's cold as heck in that room, though. You just have the coldest room in the office. It's freezing. Yeah, no, it's super cold.
Starting point is 00:34:41 You guys are the only department besides a creative team who has your own dedicated room. Accounting? And accounting. You know, it's a separate space, right? Yeah, but now, I mean, they want to grow. We need bigger room.
Starting point is 00:34:56 So. Well, we have plenty of room. Just chop down wall here. Like, we chopped down this wall right here. You guys' office, right? It's double. No, no. It's the hallway.
Starting point is 00:35:04 You get the hallway. We could put them in the next part of the warehouse. How about you guys get in the room? We get the outside. Thank you. I'm okay with that. That'd be good to have a nice cold room. If you asked me
Starting point is 00:35:16 We don't need a stinking room Yeah you think so Well I like being As Johnny says it I like being in the pit It was cool That was one thing I liked about
Starting point is 00:35:29 Coming to NZXT Where it was like Everybody sat Yeah Around even customer service Like before you were here We sat in those cubicles At the old office
Starting point is 00:35:37 Yeah Oh yeah Everybody would hear us I remember that I remember here I was talking on the phone And it was kind of like I would always talk really low
Starting point is 00:35:44 Because it's like I didn't want no way to hear me. It was really funny. We were moving from the old office of the new office. We had two customer service reps still in the old office. Yeah, it was Josh and Sergio, I think, maybe, or Josh and McKay. No, it wasn't McKay. Josh and Andrew, maybe. I don't know. I know it was Josh for sure because he was talking about it the other day. Definitely Josh. It might have been Andrew, but I remember like I'm sitting there, you know, I'm still kind of new and working on stuff and I can't help but hear what they're talking about. It's like,
Starting point is 00:36:15 no no don't worry he's not gonna need 64 gigabytes of ram if he's just playing fortnight and I'm sitting there laughing like the questions that you guys get because I mean like there's not just thing as a dumb question right because some people just don't know anything about computers right like like if you've only ever played on the console you want to know what ram's actually for how much you need but it's just funny hearing the questions and like the stuff you guys at the answer all the time and I think Ivan told me once that some kid called and said that he wanted to buy computer but his mom didn't believe of us or something so like you guys got on the phone no and like convinced his mom or something on Twitter
Starting point is 00:36:45 Some guy was like, hey, can you guys, can you guys talk to my mom? Because she won't let me, she won't buy this computer. She doesn't think it's a good deal. And I was like, sure, just call this number tomorrow. We'll talk to her. And then he tweets back the next day. He's like, hey, my mom called this morning and talk to you guys. So she's going to buy me the computer.
Starting point is 00:37:04 Cool. Thank you. We have a question from special here in the Discord. What was the strangest question the customers ever asked you? The strangest question the customers asked. I mean, it's not really strange. It's more like, how do I turn on my PC? What?
Starting point is 00:37:24 Yeah. What did you tell them? Push the power button on the top. And then what they do? Oh, thank you. They hung up. Just really quick. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I mean, that's not really a strange question. I can't really think of one right now, but that's like literally the most common question we've ever gotten when people get our BLD PCs. What's the most complicated question you guys? Okay, has there been a customer service question or like call, whatever, that's that you guys could not figure out? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's time, like me being here for four years, there's people in my team that do know more than I do.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Right. And I go to them. Like the new guy, he knows more than me. Okay. You know, especially when it comes to software issues. Because that software and networking issues, networking issues, I go to Sergio. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Everyone has, like, their own little talent. Yeah. It's like a special to. I mean, and then if it's something with like, Has there been something that, like, nobody could figure out? We're just like, we're just like, it's just like a giant mystery. Yeah, so like we have a ticket or like a phone call and we'll meet, like someone will mute it. Like, hey, how about this?
Starting point is 00:38:27 Oh, try this. Hey, try this. He try that. Still doesn't work. Armate it. Yeah, sometimes you can't figure out what the problem is. Just send it back in and we'll fix it for you. Send it back in and then if we can't fix it in, here's any one.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Yeah. You know, hardware fails like all hardware. Yeah. No hardware. Like the PC could be working here when we QC it, you know. But just because shipping and FedEx is just not careful, it comes up. It could be anything. Or it could just be the, you know, like a bad batch of graphics cards.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Yeah. Or maybe, you know, something got shorted or it could be a million things. Right. It's like, it's like you, like I think a regular person, but maybe upgrades their PC every six or seven years, right? Like you get like a new build or something like it within that amount of time. But when you're buying and shipping out hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of like the same part, you're going to get some that don't work, right? Oh, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Yeah, and like sometimes it's just the way it is. It's just the way it is, too. And then, like, we do get the customers that are just like, it's a brand new PC that shouldn't happen. I'm just like... You're right. It shouldn't. It shouldn't, but it's PC hardware. Like, this stuff does happen.
Starting point is 00:39:32 It was like anything, right? It's like a car. It's like my dad got a new Nissan like eight years ago. And like, within the first month he's having issues with like his tire deflating. And they couldn't figure out they replaced the whole thing. The rim and everything is they just kept deflating for some reason. And there's no. it was a really funky car.
Starting point is 00:39:48 He got rid of him in like a year or something. He got something else. But like sometimes you'll just get something that just doesn't work, right? Yeah. How do you, how do you communicate that to people? Like you just, just sell them straight up.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Yeah. I mean, they get mad. They get pissed off. You know, sometimes they cuss at us, but it's just like, hey,
Starting point is 00:40:04 you know what? Like, sorry though. Like, we're trying to help you, but from what it seems and what it sounds like, it's probably say it's a bad GPU. It's probably a bad GPU.
Starting point is 00:40:14 They're like, this is like, like this is impossible not impossible this is it shouldn't be happening whatever and it's like we'll replace it for you right yeah they get mad but we try our best not to let it get on our skin so if someone say starts cussing at you they're like you know you hecking heck you know you're the worst like how do you like de-escalate that situation at first i let i let them go i let them i let them rant I let them rage, you know, they're irate. I mute my phone or I mute my microphone.
Starting point is 00:40:48 I just let them just go. Just sit some tea. And then if they say something where like they're like expecting like, I'm like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, okay. Right. I just let them go. And then once they go, I'm just like, I mean, I just try my best. Like, hey, you know what? I'm sorry, you know?
Starting point is 00:41:04 And this is where like when I say when it comes to Dakota, like he's really good at keeping his cool. And he just knows how to talk to customers. Have you lost you're cool? Oh yeah. Yeah, I have. I mean, not to where I was obviously cussing back at the customer to where I was just like, listen, if you want me to help you, don't talk to me like that or I will hang up on you. What would they do? Some of them were just like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:41:29 I'm sorry. It's just frustrating. I understand that. I understand. I work with computers all the time. I understand. It's frustrating. But other ones, literally I said that.
Starting point is 00:41:38 And he was mad about shipping. He didn't understand that. It took two days, two business days for us to ship the PC. And then, and then obviously delivery time, yeah. The delivery time. He thought it was, well, he didn't account for the weekend because it was the express ship one of the three business days. He's just like, he was just pissed.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Right. And I was just like, well, no, actually, you're ordered dish up on time. It's one or three business days. Don't count the weekend. Monday would be the third business day. Right. And you just went off. And I was just like, look, if you, I'm telling you what it is.
Starting point is 00:42:08 And here it is on our site, this and this and that. This is the policy. And he was just, and I was like, don't, you know, if you want to talk to me, if you want to be respected, talk to me with respect. And he was like, but my name is Sean Gares. And he just told me, oh, go go, uh, f yourself and I hung up on him. He didn't call back though. Did you go up yourself after that? No.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Okay. I sat at my chair. No, he called up shroud and he was like, can you believe we just called him? I know he's here. I know he's here a little kid, shroud. Where's my host? So besides customer service and, you know, working on computers, what do you do? Like, what are your hobbies?
Starting point is 00:42:48 Like, what do you do? I can answer that for him. Oh, okay. I haven't already knows probably. When he's not at NZXT answering customer service tickets and Twitter DMs, he is at Buffalo Wildlings. What? Yeah, he's like, that's my Friday night. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:43:02 Put it this way. He's one of those guys that calls it B-dubs. You know those guys? I'm about to be dubs. I pretend like it. If you call it B-Dub. I don't like it ain't good. the type of guy that calls it B-dub, so he's that type of guy.
Starting point is 00:43:13 It's just something that me and my cousin do just to unwind after the week. And then we just go, and it's to where the point where we've gone so much, where we know the waitresses and the waiters, they comp us food or they'll bring us a free beer. And it's like, all right, cool. And it's right down the street from my house. So it's like, yeah, me and Don are, me and Dom are not neighbors, but we live in the same, same area. Shout out to Whittier. So question is, what are you doing this Friday?
Starting point is 00:43:39 because I'm down with some fruit. I'm going to Buffalo Wildlings. And I can also tell you the other stuff he does. Well, I'd like to hear Dom here, you know, say, because we pulled them away from,
Starting point is 00:43:49 you know, going on customers. I just have Dom stories, but I'll let him tell them. Other than that, I'm at home with my son. Or taking your son in baseball games. Well,
Starting point is 00:43:58 yeah. Well, now that he's in high, he's a sophomore in high school. Okay. He used to play travel ball. That was like my, I never had a weekend life.
Starting point is 00:44:05 My weekend life was at the baseball. Yeah, like, Dom, are you doing this weekend? I'm going to Florida. Yeah. Florida where you went to Georgia, Colorado, Vegas, Arizona.
Starting point is 00:44:14 So I'm not familiar with, like, sports and kids. So what's travel ball? Travel, it's just, I mean, like regular, like league ball, like rec ball, but you're on a travel team and it's like you don't play at one field. You could play anywhere. And it's usually the players who are better or the best players. It's more competitive. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:32 It's more competitive than Rick. How do you get on a team like that? Just, just send up like, just just call. Just try out. Okay, got you. Okay. Sometimes it gets scouted, you know, people get pulled. That's really cool.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Does it want to be like a big baseball player when he gets older? I mean, it's in his hands. I just told him, I was like, it's up to you if you want to do it. I'll back you up as much as I can, but it's up to you. What if you said, dad, listen, I don't want to throw a ball anymore. Like, I want to hold a mouse and I want to play kind of strict a bit of it. As long as he can make money off of it. Do you want?
Starting point is 00:44:58 Do you want Andy to call on and give him some baseball advice? No. Rip Andy. Andy's the baseball guru Which I think By the way I think Andy will be Next week's podcast guest
Starting point is 00:45:16 If he doesn't ask I mean It's funny He always says like I don't listen to the podcast But if he was in the Discord He could totally see that we're recording right now And we could
Starting point is 00:45:25 He could ask his questions and stuff Yeah He'd be involved But it is what it is He could do many things So yeah But other than that I'm with my son
Starting point is 00:45:39 almost all the time and it's just the one son yeah just him wins number two I don't know I'm not even thinking about that right now was he's a sophomore in high school right so like I don't like
Starting point is 00:45:53 I was gonna be 19 when he was born yeah me and Dom are that's crazy we and Dom are the same age or when you're apart oh I just turned 34 oh dang I'm way older I'm about to turn 30 or 38.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Yeah, you're like my sister's. But I can't even imagine. Look at a baby in this room. I can even, because, you know, my daughter's 18 months. I can even imagine it. By the time you're my age, you're gonna have a 20 year old.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Yep. And that's just for me, that's mind-boggling because it's so much work, man. No, I'm serious. Kids are hard. It's hard, dude. You really don't know how hard it's until you have one.
Starting point is 00:46:30 It's hard when they're, when they're 18 months, they're a baby, but it doesn't get easier. Especially if you want to do a good dad Yeah especially when In high school I mean
Starting point is 00:46:43 Just uh Just uh Just all the stuff that's going around In high schools now and you know The stuff you hear It's like I do have like these talks with my son like What's going on? You got anything to tell me this and that
Starting point is 00:46:55 Just to make sure he's okay you know Just like a check right? Yeah And then uh how you're doing how you feel? Other than that I mean With him having a girlfriend now It's like I'm more on the edge of my seat Is she in the server?
Starting point is 00:47:06 No The only thing is why I did tell him Like if you're gonna get a girlfriend Make sure she play sports Sure enough she plays softball So she knows what it takes So at least play a sport in high school Okay so it's more like you know
Starting point is 00:47:21 So she understands like what the schedule that Yeah Like an athlete is something like that You know have to keep your grades up And this and that but Ah That's actually really interesting Like I didn't think about that way
Starting point is 00:47:31 Yeah You had to have a When I was in high school I think you had to have A two point O GPA That's never a hard of you right Yeah. Now it's a straight C's. Now it's a 3.0 for baseball.
Starting point is 00:47:42 I think for football it's like 2.5. What about what that means? Dom son wasn't the server, but he was banned. Breaking the rules. Really? Yeah, Dom banned him. I banned my own son. Would you ban him?
Starting point is 00:47:56 That's a good question. Would you ban your son if he broke the discourse of rules? Yeah, probably, because he knows best. I think he went in there one time, but then he left. But I just told him, if you're going to, be in there don't don't do anything dumb one of the reasons Dom is an admin is because
Starting point is 00:48:12 he would ban his own son I know he would do the right thing I know he would do the right thing that's on the resume would you ban your son yes Dom would always do the right thing so unless it comes to CSGO he'll definitely hack but when everything
Starting point is 00:48:24 else he'll do the right thing yeah I try to get I try to get involved with the with the Discord community as much as I can but with like my type of work and and the service the team. It's so hard to
Starting point is 00:48:38 to see what's going on in the Discord server. I mean, I know the mods are doing their job and they're doing a good job at it. It's hard for me to keep up and it's my job. I try so much to look over those bandless. I don't even know. Do we have that bandless still? Like the form? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah. I try to update as much as I can. I try to keep, you know, sometimes I even message the mods like what's going on. Like how has everything been? but no yeah you like and for you know you and jimmy and vivian you guys aren't like expected to be on there like me and dennis are yeah but you guys are on there to just support when you can so we appreciate it very much oh for sure yeah because without you guys just imagine it's just me and you is that I'm gonna be might not be around much longer for it's just me the moderators would hate us even more
Starting point is 00:49:27 not for sure dude yeah i know they i know i think the only reason the moderators haven't killed this is because of vivian because of mommy She keeps everything cool. Yeah. She puts in a lot of work. Yeah. Like I just, I just go in there and like mess around and spam and, you know, kind of loosen things up. Then the mods get mad and even goes, fine, I'll help guys.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Yeah. Yeah, there's times where I'll chime in here and there and every like, Tommy. I'm like, hey, what's up? And then, yeah, Vivian does. She does a lot because the customers even hit her up because I'm going to say like I can't get to my DMs a lot. And there's some people that are like, hey, my ticket. in them, this and I can't.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Oh, okay, yeah. And they go to Vivian and Vivian comes in, I see her walking into my office. I'm just like, what happened? She's like, hey, this guy, this and this and that. I was just like, okay, I'll do it right now. So, yeah, props to Vivian. She, she does a lot. She helps out a lot.
Starting point is 00:50:24 So what's the, let's say someone wants to be a customer service rep, right? They want to apply what should be like the requirements in your opinion? Like at least two to three years customer service experience. Uh huh. But when it comes. Thick skin for sure. We can't have anybody just not able to handle the job. I mean, who if you can't do customer service, then come on.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Right. What can you do? And at least when it comes. I'm just saying, dude. Shots fired. And then, I mean, when it comes to the troubleshooting and hardware and, you know, the PC industry, like, you got to know your stuff. Right.
Starting point is 00:51:02 before we've had people that didn't know much and it was a hassle to train them. Right. And as long as you know your stuff when it comes to building a PC troubleshooting, you know, I mean, at the basic, then you'll be okay because you'll learn on. I'm, I still learn today, you know, other, like new stuff. Yeah, I mean, it's always something new coming out, right? So it's always something to learn. Okay, so I don't want to tell you up too much because I know you've been here for a little bit longer than you should have.
Starting point is 00:51:32 So I want to ask my last question and if Ivan has one more. My last question is, what is your favorite NXT product and what is your least favorite NZXD product? Favorite. And why? Favorite will be the 510 elite because that front panel. Okay. I've always told them when they came on with the 500, why is it the front panel removable? Right.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Because I had the S340. I had the S340 elite. And I still had the S340 elite here at my desk. That's the PCI use. I just love that front panel Then obviously the RGV fans is cool and all But it's a pretty case Yeah
Starting point is 00:52:11 And then my lease I would say the Manta That's funny because Ivan's favorite case is the Manta I don't like the Manta Why don't you like the Manta? I just didn't like the way it was Like how it was Like no how it was designed
Starting point is 00:52:27 I'm sorry He's looking at me like I just didn't like the way it was designed And then it's all right. He's a hacker. Who cares what he thinks. Vivian says too bubbly. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:52:40 I just didn't like the rounded on it. We kind of went. I feel like we need like corners sharper boys. I kind of like out of the elements and made it a rounded case. But yeah. All right. Do you have a last question?
Starting point is 00:52:57 Let's see. Well, my first, yeah, I have one question for you. Can you hang out here longer? sure okay so i guess it wasn't the last question yeah anyone in the podcast chat has questions please drop them in the podcast channel i know there's fewer people on because it's wednesday we've never recorded on a wednesday yeah we change everything around um don't know we're going to keep doing on
Starting point is 00:53:21 wednesday to be honest it's maybe yes maybe no we'll see yeah just do whatever ivan says i guess you know he decides we're going to report on a wednesday it sounds like we should do a uh Twitter or a Discord poll tomorrow. Which day should we do the podcast? That's a good question. Boom. When is NZXTX Nitella coming? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Ask Nitella. When is NGST? Yeah, please ask them in the Nettla Discord server. Let's see what they say. Yeah. Tom, you're looking forward to any games right now or are you just kind of just grinding out on Destiny?
Starting point is 00:53:49 Because I think I saw you play Remnant on Discord like a while back. Yeah. So one of the guys on my team, Andrew and Jeremy, and Bill, the QC guy, they actually went half for my birthday. bought me Reminent. That's nice. It was actually, it's a cool game.
Starting point is 00:54:04 We haven't played it though that since then. Yeah, I noticed because you're always on Discord, either here or at home. Yeah. Right? And like I see what games you're playing. Oh, that's cool. Remnant was cool.
Starting point is 00:54:16 The most game I do play, like I said, was Siege. Every time I look on Discord, it says you're playing Seed. Yeah. Every time. That's what we play here. A couple of the guys from Build and people in CS. I think I saw some of them in Creative Playing Seage, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:31 The whole creative team plays at 12 and 4. Oh, so that's what they're playing now. Yeah. I guess Mario Kart's dead. Next question from Zigan is, can you guys bake me a pizza? The answer is no. No. But you can definitely take one of those delicious Dejournal pizzas home from the freezer.
Starting point is 00:54:50 And Dom, too, if he wants one. Yeah. The journal sent us a dozen pizza the other day. It's the power of social media. Yeah. Is it delivery? They delivered for us. Well, I mean, technically, they did.
Starting point is 00:55:01 It was Instacart who delivered it. That's funny because, um, did we talk about this on the last podcast? I forget. I don't think so. Yeah. So, uh, Discord put out a tweet like, oh, look what Dejorno sent us and there's like a bunch pizzas. And I'm like, this sounds like a fun opportunity to mess with DeJrano and with Discord.
Starting point is 00:55:18 So I just commented on Twitter. I'm like, oh, that's how it is. I see, you know? And then DeJon was like, oh, no, no, no. Look at your, uh, look at your DMs. And then we start talking with the one of the sends, the one that sent us told pizzas. So we sent them, uh, we sent them. Apucci, you know, for always hanging out with us, you know, on, on Twitter, making our days a little bit more fun.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Yeah. And they send us 12 pizzas. That's it. I took two home. I took one home. Yeah. On Friday, I took one home, yeah. Which one?
Starting point is 00:55:44 Pepperoni. How was it? Good. It's not bad. It's the best pizza ever had in life. Oh, gosh. Where are those pizzas? In the freezer in the kitchen?
Starting point is 00:55:53 Yeah. I'm taking one. Don't definitely grab one. We got a bunch. I heard 12. I didn't count them when we first got them because we had to go to lunch. and when it came back, there were 10. So I don't know if we got 10 or if we got 12 and someone took two before I could see.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Vivian, go get a pizza. When will interns get interviewed in a podcast, the interns are gone caro, fortunately. And we interviewed the two social media interns. Yeah, Griff. And yeah, but we definitely got to get Noah on here. I think we got to schedule some time with Noah. We tried, right? Just didn't worry that day.
Starting point is 00:56:25 It didn't work because we didn't have the call stuff set up, but I think next time we could probably get them on. So maybe instead of Andy, we'll just bump him back. and then we'll put no on there. I'm down with that. Okay, cool. All right, it's been decided, guys. We'll probably get Noah next time.
Starting point is 00:56:38 We just got to bug him in, pull him away from Destiny, playing with the not in ZXT clan. I'm never going to not give him crap for that because we have a... No, pineapple does not belong on pizza. Sorry. I think it does belong in pizza. What's from with pineapple?
Starting point is 00:56:55 I don't know my pineapple on my pizza. Do you like pineapple at all? Yeah, I do, but not on my pizza. Do you like pineapple in your pastoral? yes so why not on the pizza I just I don't think it belongs on a pizza why not I just don't like it on pizza
Starting point is 00:57:08 that's not an answer I just saying you don't want it nasty to me it's nasty you also have the taste buds of someone that likes Buffalo Wildlings I mean excuse me sir get it right when we go though we don't eat though when we go we don't eat it's mostly drinking
Starting point is 00:57:23 I don't think anyone goes to Buffalo Wildlings for the wings yeah we go for their lemon pepper wings are trash I don't like yeah I don't like So bad. Their new, their new style was like Tennessee hot.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I know. It's good. Was it? Yeah. I like their, I like their, their mega have Benero's good, but it's really spicy.
Starting point is 00:57:41 And like it messes up my milk. I can only eat one. And then I'm done. Yeah. Because I'm like dying. No, same here. My mom, it's funny.
Starting point is 00:57:47 My mom is like, she'll eat like a whole like six like snack size of them by herself. I'm looking like, how do you? No, I can't. And then the Asian Zing and Caribbean jerk are like my two second favorites. It's what I usually get if I eat there.
Starting point is 00:58:04 What kind of beer you drink there? Reds. No. Angry orchard. I go between like three. We're strong, though. Can you get a shot of angry orchards, please? Salt on the rib.
Starting point is 00:58:23 So it's either Dosekis, 8.05, or if I want to watch my figure, Mikulovulchra. Are you watching your figure right now? Last week I was, yes. I think you were okay. So it's going to on and off watching the figure. He was watching it go sideways. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:40 I'm actually done for Wingsweb in. If you want to go after work, let's go today. Trippy is asking if there will ever be an NGST e-sports team. We used to have a team, right? No, we sponsored. We sponsored a team. We sponsored a team. We do have an NZXT resports team.
Starting point is 00:58:55 We do have an NXT resports team, and you're all on it. now. Yeah, we sponsored. Is it Envious? Yeah, we sponsored Envious and then before then we sponsored counter logic gaming. CLG, yeah. But with Envious, we actually made a case, the H440 Envious Edition. Next question is, when are you guys opening applications for Apprentice again? We really don't have plans to do that right now.
Starting point is 00:59:27 I feel like the server is actually in a good spot right now where gotta save it like it's it seems like it's you don't really need more apprentices or mods at the moment no I think yeah I think they can handle it and for the most part I think the community's really good at letting us know if someone's being a troublemaker and then we just get rid of them like um there was someone who came in with the name like Brodolph bitler or something like that and like within seconds I'm like yeah you're an idiot and have fun getting bad like like I always get yelled out by the mods for not doing like that was really his name blame your parents mom dad changed my name I can't play I can't play with the kids do you just ban them and not put the reason for for ones like that
Starting point is 01:00:06 I mean for ones like that if it's like trying to pretend like you're some Nazi or something though I'm like yeah you can go to someone else's Discord yeah you have to hang on here like the dummy
Starting point is 01:00:18 have like dumb symbols in his name too I'm like I got a Twitter DM yesterday from I think it was NXT's third son or irrelevant son, the one that got banned from the server, and he said, can you un-band me? And I asked him what he did and he told me,
Starting point is 01:00:33 and I was like, no. Yeah, I mean, something personal, you know, people, it's just if you break the rules, you just couldn't. You break the rules, you break the rules. And then there has to be consequences. Yeah. And keep doing it and break certain ones. You're eventually going to get banned.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Yeah. Unless if you're one of us, right? One of us. Yeah, if you're, if you're an admin, you can do whatever you want, I think. I mean, like, not whatever we want. Not whatever we want. We're not going to be crazy. We're not going to go above it.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Like, we're not going to abuse our power. I mean, sometimes. We would never do that. Never. That's terrible. It's, uh, no. Why would we ever do that? I hate, I hate this.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I hate this. I'm looking right at the door. And people was like, oh, let me just put my face right up against the glass and start licking it. So weird. Yeah. So if there's one thing that you want NZT to make, what would it be? It could be anything in the world.
Starting point is 01:01:36 It doesn't even have to be gaming computer related. What would you love to see N6T slapped a brand on? Buffalo Wild Wings. Purple Wings. No, they're not rotten. They're actually. Honestly. It's interesting, right?
Starting point is 01:01:58 It's like, yeah, I've never thought about this question before because everything that we have is, well, so far has been pretty cool. Amazing. Yeah, I can't think of anything. Actually, myself, I would like to see more like stuff in games. Like, you know how, so how Fortnite just did the, they did the Borderlands like Pandora section? Did they do something with It too? I think so, yeah. I think that would be kind of cool.
Starting point is 01:02:25 It's like poochy everywhere, you know, because I know we're in. In a poochie the clown it Poochee the clown Instead of penny wise it's Pucci wise I mean you know what That's a good one Like I always wanted to when I You know when I was more into CS
Starting point is 01:02:39 Was us getting involved with more With like e-sports tournaments Like I-by-power always has their Eye-Bi Power cup You know like I know we weren't as big As I-By Power back then But we're getting that big Like why not
Starting point is 01:02:52 Go more so like Yeah we do TwitchCon We do BlizCon but more into like e-sports like to partner up with somebody what's your favorite esport to watch it's still CSGO oh CS go yeah CSGO it's still
Starting point is 01:03:07 who's your team and why is it Veritas pro I know you like Virtus Pro? I mean they're good but I don't have a favorite team I just watch and then now Liquid boy or like a fenda Fanatic no fanatic no freak I don't know what you call
Starting point is 01:03:23 Fanatic Fanatic? Before honestly it was Cloud 9 but that was like the old roster yeah the old roster of shroud garrs so now it's like I don't have a team I just watch it to watch it
Starting point is 01:03:38 and I see all these different people on different teams it's like cool what who's your favorite streamer to watch streamer yeah because I know every time I walk into the CS room
Starting point is 01:03:48 you have your ticket system and then you have a screen I have Twitch open usually Mr. Sly guy in the sky it's your favorite stream Honestly, I go between a bunch of people. It just depends.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Like, the other game I really do like playing is Dead by Daylight. Really? And I always watch Angry Pug. You know, I streamed out for like a month, and it's probably the most successful streams that I've had. But like, I got bored of the game. Yeah. I mean, it's fun. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:04:17 But like at a certain point, it's like you kind of start to notice like what the meta is in the game and that and that's going to become fun. Yeah. And people start, they start using these like really annoying builds with like the survivors or like with like their, with the killers and then that kind of takes all the fun away from the game. Like the first three weeks, I'm like, this is so fun. Like, I'm just running around and I'm trying to hide for the, and then it's, oh, he has this perk on. He has that thing on.
Starting point is 01:04:40 And then he's such a notice. You like this freaking scumbat. Yeah. Like, I still like to play here and there, but yeah, I'll watch Angry Foot because he's funny. Yeah. He's funny. Like, yeah, he gets mad. He gets heated at the people he's playing with, but, like, he's funny.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Especially on Fridays, though, he'll play drunk. And then I mean I go between Angry Pug I go and then I do watch a lot of GTA RP Really? Yeah
Starting point is 01:05:05 Who's your favorite GTA RP here? It's either going to be snow And why is it N60 sponsored streamer Kit Boga It's either Snow He's from these Well his Twitch name is you Snow
Starting point is 01:05:21 And snow can fly He's from the UK But he's He's one of like the troopers on the no pixel server. Right. Or it's Summit if he does RP or maybe I know Stroud got into RP. I started watching him. And then, um.
Starting point is 01:05:37 What do you think of Summit do in RP? Because like, Summit was like he was like big competitive gamer and like he started doing Sea of Thieves, right? And that's when he kind of started blowing up again. See if thieves streams were actually funny. They were really fun. Yeah, I liked them a lot. I thought they were really good.
Starting point is 01:05:50 With him. His ghost streams were funny too and he was running through Molotov. Oh, God. Did he work? That was so bad. It was like a big tournament. He filled in for someone. He filled in for, I forgot what team it was, but he filled in for someone.
Starting point is 01:06:02 And then he threw a Maltau, and then he burned himself and he killed himself. Yeah, he killed, he killed the last guy, and he just had to defuse the bomb. And he had like 20 health, though. And he ran, he didn't see the fire and he killed himself and he lost the round. Oh, my God. But, yeah, GTP is good, so. Yeah, I think I think watching
Starting point is 01:06:27 Shroud do that's pretty funny Yeah Because he's not an Arpier But watching him do that kind of stuff is like It was funny because when him and his I think it's his girlfriend Benans Yeah When they went in there
Starting point is 01:06:39 That's who I know but yeah I know they're dating now Yeah They went into the server with someone named Kiki Chanel which is Milton T. Pike on Twitch And he plays like a A trans person Yeah And it was just hilarious
Starting point is 01:06:53 on the server and I was just I was dying up here working I was just dying at my desk trying to help someone tickets and he was I was like muting the phone but it's cool okay so we got word that that we are kind of up for time here with Dom so I want to thank you
Starting point is 01:07:11 Dom for spending time with us get Dom's exit music ready oh okay do you have a different song for his exit music same one because I was Turn down for Dom Turn down for Don, I want to thank you very much for hanging out with us today. Yeah, no problem.
Starting point is 01:07:29 And, you know, taking your precious time away from all the customers. Yeah. Who need you? What page is it on? Page one. Why is it on page side? Page two. There we go.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Okay. Evan, any news we want to throw out a quick before we go and close us off? No news. Just want to thank everyone for listening. There is news. The N7 is available. That's not news. That's not news.
Starting point is 01:07:52 That's news. Yeah, told news. It's news to me. It's old news. Okay, fine. It's old news. All right. Okay, so with that, thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:08:00 We're going to peace out. And Dom, again, thanks for being here. Thank you for everything you do for being the ones who keep all the angry letters away from us. Yeah, play me some of that jumping music. And with that, Dom is out.
