Starting point is 00:00:31 Do do, do, do, do do. Do do do. Do do do do do. I was waiting for the pickup from Amanda. I'm good. Thank you. Hello, everyone, and welcome to episode 33,
Starting point is 00:00:50 the NXC Clubcast, the official podcast of the NXC community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10.m. Pacific Standard Time with the official N6C Discord server and is available to stream wherever. you listen to your favorite podcasts. My name is Dennis and with me as always is Ivan. How do you do my fellow quarantiners?
Starting point is 00:01:10 And our newest co-host, Amanda. Hi. Hi. Today's special guest is Me Six. He's helping us with the recording today. How are you guys doing? Doing good, man. It's been an interesting week for sure.
Starting point is 00:01:26 trying to get, you know, settled in at working from home and catching up with work and figuring out how we're going to do things that we were like already kind of in the groove of doing, you know, the podcast being one of them. Podcasts, shipping stuff out, just like simple things like talking to people. Yeah. Yeah. And it was kind of weird too because yesterday, you know, perfect example is like yesterday I went to the office to take a picture.
Starting point is 00:01:56 The picture we posted on Twitter today of Pucci with the SSDs. And I was surprised to see so many people at the office. The first thing I did when I got in there was I just walked over to Vivian's desk and I said, I'm here to steal your snacks. But yeah, it's like just weird, little things like that that you take for granted, you know, being at the office all the time. It's just easier. Rick and Rooms, a little bit of a mission.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Yeah, for sure. I know me and Amanda, I've been trying to figure out, like, a good process for, like, poking each other. Because, like, normally it'd be, I'll have a quick question. Let me turn around and just tap her in the shoulder. And now it's not something like that at all. Basically, the meetings are going to get even worse. Yeah. Starting at 9 a.m. every morning.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yeah, it's important because, like, we had to, like, sync up, you know, like, just what we're doing for the day. And even though we don't do that in the office, it's, it's different, you know. It hits different. I don't know. So this is the first time we're recording the podcast this way. And there's a few people, especially the general Kenobi, the saying you can't hear anything. Yeah. Take the power supplies out of your ears.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Does that work? Yeah, there we go. Yep, pretty much. I had a molox cable stuck in my ear. Oh, no. Yeah, no, it's, it's, it's been really, really odd. Like, so let's just talk about that for a minute, since we're already kind of on the topic. Like, how are you guys feeling about it so far, just working from home and not being in the office all day?
Starting point is 00:03:47 I'm used to it. Must be nice. Before. before I had a wife and child, even before I had a child, I always had one work from home day during the week. It was usually Wednesdays. But once my child was born, I stopped doing that because it's impossible to get work done from home when you have a kid. So it's definitely a little challenging for me because, you know, I'm like, not that my wife and kid are annoying, but they do interrupt me sometimes, I guess, when I'm trying to work. But I also interrupt them, you know, because they got their routine too, like that I interrupt. So it's a little challenging that regard. And then also, like, I don't really use my computer at home, not even for, like, video games or anything. So like the last couple of days, I've had to, like, I had to install some fans on my computer. I had to bring a microphone from, from the
Starting point is 00:04:44 office that I've still yet to set up, how to figure out how to do all the settings on my headset because, you know, I couldn't hear stuff. I couldn't talk during meetings. I had to order a webcam. Just, you know, little things like that. It's kind of annoying, to be honest. The webcam thing is funny because I mentioned it in a meeting as a joke. Like, oh, we should all get webcam so we can see each other since we're not going to be in the office a little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I feel like it's being pushed way too hard. Like, it's not even like that big of a deal, but like I feel like everyone's this, oh, yeah, you're right. let's all get webcams now. But Justin, he's huge on using webcams during meetings because if you actually look at the research, it does increase productivity and it does make working remotely easier for people. So I think it's a good idea that we have them. Yeah, like it's funny, we were in a meeting yesterday with a creative team. And, you know, we're just talking about whatever we normally do.
Starting point is 00:05:53 And then, uh, Jin, who's our credit director was, uh, he pulls out this, this, uh, really funky looking Rubik's Cube. Um, and it's, it's the same color on every single side, but the squares are different shapes. So there's like a long one and a medium and like a really skinny one. And he's trying to show us like how to solve it. And then, and squares are different shapes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:16 The scores are different sizes. Okay. They're different geometric shapes. And Helen was like, oh, hey, Jen taught me how to do this Rubik's Cube. So we're sitting in this quote-unquote meeting on Google Hangouts is watching someone solve a Rubik's cube for like five minutes. It was like a good 10 minutes. I think it was closer to 10 minutes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Back to the working from home topic, though. I actually, most of the work that I've done in this industry has been. remote so I'm super used to it like I have my own routine because this is all I used to do like I never used to go into an office to work I mean I worked at GameStop but not really the same um so I mean I just like going to the office I lock the door no one bothers me and I just get work done I actually feel like I'm even more productive at home that I am like in the office like I'll be getting a lot of stuff done at home um so I'm used to it I just wanted to answer that so you're trying to say that we keep you from doing your work yes by bugging me incessantly
Starting point is 00:07:18 all day. Yeah. It's pretty hard to get work done sometimes at the office. Got to admit. The chatting and everything like that, yeah. The memes sit harder when you just have time to think. Yeah. Also sitting next to Andy.
Starting point is 00:07:34 It's kind of distracting. That's very true. Just clear, just by the way he sits. Not even that he, like, talks to us, but just the way that he sits is a distraction enough. It's just hard not to acknowledge Andy's in the room with you. never he's in the room with you. Whether it's in the pit or in a meeting or at lunch.
Starting point is 00:07:56 If he's there, it's like you have to acknowledge something that he's doing. It's like him stroking his mustache, him sitting on his knees on a standing desk. He's always up to something weird. Him in his curly mustache. Yeah. We had a question from a Gina Dulp girl,
Starting point is 00:08:16 actually, about this. if you're working at home and surrounded by pets do you work more than usual? It's more for Amanda because I don't have pets, but she's got a big old doggo. If you're at home and surrounded by pets, do you work more than usual? Well, we just have Bandit
Starting point is 00:08:30 because I lock the door, he's not in the office. So I don't really see him too often unless he needs food or he has to go outside or something like that. What kind of dog is a bandit? A husky. That's a huge dog. He's a big dog.
Starting point is 00:08:48 He's actually, okay, for huskies, he would be the run of the litter. He's actually smaller than most huskies for their actual size. So he's actually pretty small. But he just, other times he'll just lay under my desk and he'll just chill for like hours under there. And I won't hear a peep out of him. He'll just sleep. So, yeah. Just chills all day?
Starting point is 00:09:13 He just chills all day. Big chilling. He's old. He's like 10 years old. so he's not really doing much. It's seven, eight, eight, not years. And then he wants to fight with me. And then he wants to fight with you, true.
Starting point is 00:09:26 I don't have any pets myself either. I just have a kid. I want to, I want to pug. Because I think they're so ugly that they're kind of cute. And I think it's a good-sized dog for, like, being indoors. Like, I don't know if I could do a big dog indoors, because those dudes just, like, take up so much space. I don't think you would be a good pet owner, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Oh, God. Yeah, man. I don't think you would. I think you would be the kind of person that forgets to feed the dog. Oh, no. I'm serious. I will have you know that I've owned several pets of my life and they've all been treated very well. So come at me.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Dennis is about to get one of those automatic feeders that are set to, like, certain times just to prove you wrong. By the machine, it throws the ball automatically when the dog presses the buttons. Like, see, you have to care of my dog. Vivian has that. She has like this camera on her dog, 24-7, and she's at the opposite. She does. Throwing snacks at it. Unaki, catch.
Starting point is 00:10:27 So I would say the weirdest part for me working at home is that there's no like separation between when I'm working and when I'm not working. I mean, granted, I'm going to do. I know. Okay, so first off, I'm not going to say I'm not a morning person, but I do need like a good 10, 20 minutes to like wake up and like do my like some quick morning stuff, like grab a coffee and stuff like that. Or like my whole day's kind of thrown off.
Starting point is 00:10:51 And as soon as I wake up, my dad's like, hey, by the way, street sweepers today, let's move the car down the street so that we don't get a ticket. Because like we have a bunch of cars in the driver right now. They're the people who did some flights to some other countries and stuff like that. So the get up, sell my slippers on, hop on my car, drive down to, drive down the street, drop a car off, get my dad in that car, drive back, finally get my coffee. Then I'm in a meeting.
Starting point is 00:11:15 He's like, oh, hey, by the way, and I'm like, bro, let me start. work and playing kids killing me and most like it's like not having the commute you know we're like I'm heading to work I'm thinking about work I'm not yet working it's it's like kind of throwing a lot of stuff off from you right now it's so weird to see see you during the meetings too like your your room is so cringy oh but every person who's seen my room in the meeting is like oh that's a really cool room dude would you get that light your room that night late you're Your room looks like a Spencer's GIFs. What?
Starting point is 00:11:53 It's like, you have stars on the ceiling. Are we talking about the back section or we're talking about the front section? Because it's two completely different stores. Backlight posters, like vape, vape smoke in the air. I have a glow in the dark poster of a wizard sitting on top of a mushroom house. I imagine your door is like. just beads Like you're going into a teaky bar
Starting point is 00:12:27 With like the beads in front Yeah we have themed drinks They're $14 each Yeah It's pretty Sometimes it's cringy It's just like You know like a teenager's bedroom
Starting point is 00:12:42 I mean I pretty much I'm a teenager at heart to be honest Yeah Getting called out live on the podcast in front of all these people. I told you that the first time we had a meeting this week. I said, man, why
Starting point is 00:12:55 did your room look so cringy? Remember? No, I don't remember. I imagine what you'll think of my room. I can hear through the pain. Well, you guys saw my room. What do you think of my room? We don't see a room. We just see the side of your wall. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Because when I got my webcam, my wife was like, you better not point that towards the bed. I'm like, okay, I won't. So I have an angle look super weird. It's like, it's up. Oh, yeah. For God, your, your computers in your bedroom, right? Yeah. He's like, I used to have a home office, and then
Starting point is 00:13:31 I had a kid, and then my home office turned into my home daycare. So it's basically like a bunch of toys, and I had to move all my my fun stuff into the bedroom. There's like a little nook in my bedroom. So it's just basically
Starting point is 00:13:47 basically, it's just basically big enough for like a computer. And right behind me is the bed. But yeah, I definitely want to respect the privacy of my bedroom. Yeah. How are you guys handling the mornings yourselves? You guys having a good time waking up and rolling over to your computer or has it been rough? I'm going to go first.
Starting point is 00:14:17 I don't mind waking. up early. I think I've been going to bed a little bit later recently, especially since I'm not going out and doing things, it makes me not as tired at night. So it's kind of this vicious cycle. But I don't mind waking up early. The only thing that I'm struggling with is going to bed, waking up, and pretty much getting straight to my computer and not having anything in between to like break up that work and like waking up sort of thing, especially with our like 9 a.m. meetings. So I just feel like I'm not being as active. I'm not stretching my legs as much and getting out and doing things. But yeah, I mean, I'm a morning person, so it doesn't really
Starting point is 00:14:55 bother me too much. I'm a morning person too. But the weird thing is this whole, what screwed me up more than working from home was the whole daylight savings thing. Oh, yeah. Because it literally coincided right when we started working from home. So a couple of months ago, I made it like a lifestyle change, I guess. I tried to go to bed at 9 o'clock and wake up at 5 so I can exercise. But then with daylight savings, like now I'm going to bed like at 10 and I'm waking up at 7. It feels really weird because I'm like my body is like not, you know, I guess used to not only work from home, but just, you know, adjusting to that time change. kind of, it's kind of annoying.
Starting point is 00:15:47 That's really weird. I was there though, mornings are a little bit nicer for me. Mike and I'm getting a, I've been getting a little bit of feedback for myself on your mic. Just disclaimer, guys, we're still figuring out this process, so it sounds weird. But yeah, I'm hearing myself on your microphone when I'm talking. What should I do? I don't know. Meet yourself when you're not talking, I guess.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Push to talk, like a boss. Let me see Let me go into my Discord settings We can edit this out in post Not a big deal Yeah but for me I will say that my coffee's better Because I get it fresh
Starting point is 00:16:28 I'm not drinking it halfway through Like the day Or halfway through my commute Which is like about a 45 minute drive So I do feel like I'm saving a lot of time and money From not having a drive everywhere So that's kind of a nice benefit And I don't know if I'm mad at it knows
Starting point is 00:16:42 I'm testing push to talk. It works. You sound good. Hey. Hey. I did something. He did a thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:51 But I'm still not eating breakfast. So that's the thing for me, too. I usually don't eat breakfast in the morning. Really? Yeah, no. This is why Dennis can't have a dog. You can't even take care of himself. I don't need it.
Starting point is 00:17:03 I'm fine. I have my coffee. I eat a nice big lunch and I have a light dinner. So I'm like the exact opposite of Ivan, where he eats big, morning and night I eat no lunch I beat salad I eat lunch and I eat dinner
Starting point is 00:17:19 and if I had a dog I would make sure to feed my dog Oh my god Not that hard to feed a dog Just leave a bowl of kibble and he eats it Or whatever you feed it That's not always true though Some dogs are really picky
Starting point is 00:17:33 Or they have food allergies Or they have special needs So then you have to accommodate that They're like children It's literally like having children Oh my God, dude. This is why you can't have a dog. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:17:47 I'm Hispanic, right? Like, we grew up feeding her dog's tortillas and stuff, and they like it. Please stop talking about taking care of a dog. Back to the- I'll seriously report Dennis to the authorities if you ever get to dog. No. Pita. What's the good breakfast to eat when you're working from home?
Starting point is 00:18:13 What's the ideal? It is avocado toast with scrambled egg on top with some bacon bits and maybe a little bit of shredded ham and cheese on top. Why does that sound so good? I do not put any of that effort into my breakfast. I literally just make instant oatmeal or cereal or something. And then usually I have my coffee, but lately I don't have creamer. So I've just been putting like disgusting milk and stuff in my coffee. It doesn't taste anything like it normally does. But yeah, like I don't put that much effort into my breakfast at all. I can't be bothered making eggs in the morning. or like doing anything special. I'm too tired. And if I don't have coffee, I can't function anyways. So I don't know how you do it. I don't know if your wife makes that for you, but.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Meals are literally the only thing I put effort into. Yeah, I love eating. And yeah, I make sure that I, whatever I'm going to eat, like I definitely take my time and making it special. Nice. I wish I had that type of motivation. I'm the type of person that should own a dog. Oh my god, you saw on that, dude.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Yeah, go get a dog already then. Prove you wrong. I have a kid. It's more important. I thought you were going to say, I have a kid is the same thing. It's kind of the same thing, to be honest. But it's probably harder to have a dog because you can't really leave a kid home alone. The dog, you kind of have to trust.
Starting point is 00:20:09 it's not going to, you know, destroy your house while you're gone. Well, that's kind of true, but kind of not true. Because, like, if it's a puppy, you can't leave it alone. It will destroy everything, probably die from eating something random. So you have to, like, crate train, and then that's a whole other thing. Or you have to go to a doggy daycare. It's, I'm telling you, it's just like having a kid. There's no difference.
Starting point is 00:20:33 It's totally different because I would never have to take care with my child. Oh, no, we're not getting into that. We're not getting into that conversation. I was afraid of leaving his child anywhere. I feel bad when you have to take that kid to kindergarten, man. She's going to freak out. That's different. Like, daycare is a different story, though.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Because first of all, daycare is super expensive. Oh, yeah. When my wife was pregnant and she was on leave and we were looking into the price of daycare, we were like, well, you realize if you go back to work, literally every dollar you make is going to go towards like taking care of this kid because you can factor in the commute to work, the time I get to wake up, just to make sure your kid gets to, you know, daycare on time and all this stuff. It's a huge inconvenience apart from being expensive.
Starting point is 00:21:29 And then plus you have to really vet the place because you always hear these crazy stories about daycares, you know, like people messing with kids or whatever. So it's scary. Yeah, it's not the same as like a school that has like a, you know, like a like a school district and like certain processes in check. I mean, that's not always perfect either. But like technically, I think I was reading about this the other day, like anybody can open a daycare if they want to just say, hey, we're a daycare. Come leave your kids here. We'll take care of them, we promise.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I should open a daycare for dogs. Take care of your dog. Do it. I would definitely take my dog to a doggie daycare. Unless Amanda thinks it's a bad idea, then I won't do it. Why does it come down to me? Where you're trained in like dog care now? Are we like doggy parents now?
Starting point is 00:22:19 Well, I mean, veterinary assistance, but it's not like, I'm not a dog expert. Amanda went to, um, vet. Doggy University. God, doggy university. I have my certification and, uh, and pets. I pulled it out in our, in my, uh, interview. Here's my certification for Doggy University. Somehow they still gave me a job.
Starting point is 00:22:45 That's actually the reason why we wanted to hire you. It's like, Doggy University, this would be great for the server. There's a comment I'm going to make, but I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. Do it. I just Google. The average cost of daycare in Los Angeles County is $15,000 a year. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Yeah, it's like your. basically renting an apartment for your kid while you're at work. It's ridiculous. It's, it's super expensive. I can't, uh, yeah, no, no thanks. No kids for me. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. Yeah, that's, that's ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Yeah, that's a large amount. Um, so yeah. And Alan, Alan has twins. He pays $27,000 a year. See, that's, that's, it's, yeah, it's like, it. So, it, even though, like, my, My wife obviously made more than $15,000 per year. The other issue is the commute times because daycareers, you have to drop off your kid at a certain time, right, in order to get to your job on time.
Starting point is 00:23:56 So she would have to wake up at 5 in the morning to leave the house by 6. She dropped the kid off by 7. She'd be at work by 8. And then she'd have to leave her job at a certain time to make sure to get through the daycare at a certain time. And it's just like, apart from the price. just the hassle and inconvenience with doing all that, I don't think it's worth it to be honest. Unless you have like a really good situation where the daycare is like cheap and close to your house, it's kind of almost impossible for a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:24:27 That's why grandparents exist. I don't trust my parents either or her parents. That's a whole other issue, indeed. Yes, you know why? It's because grandparents let the grandkids do whatever they want for their most part. That's your job. That's what they're there for. So basically all the hard work you put into potty training your kid or teaching
Starting point is 00:24:49 in manners just goes out the window and you're leaving with the grandparents. But that's the idea, though. That's definitely the idea. This is why you can't own a dog, Dennis. I bet you my dog will be better behaved than your dog. Let's do it. Let's both get dogs. All right, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:25:08 All right. I'm a fine one tomorrow. You take Amanda's dog and I'll take. like Vivian's dog and then we'll come back and we'll see who's the better dog. I would never. Sounds like a deal with me. We'll train them for a fight.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Oh my God. All right. Next topic. Let's go on. All right. I'm going to shave Unagi so she matches Vivian. Oh my God. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:40 So let's talk about a little bit of new stuff. I mean, I'm sure everyone's wondering about this, right? Like, everything's getting shut down right now. You can't go anywhere these days. I think you went to the grocery store the other day, right, Ivan? I went to the grocery store last night because I turned on the news and I saw that like Costco was selling out of toilet paper and water and hand sanitizer, all this stuff. And I was like, you know, and then I was hearing all, I was looking at Twitter. and then I was seeing all these state of emergencies being issued.
Starting point is 00:26:16 That's crazy. And I was like, well, you know what? It's possible that I might not leave the house for a while because, you know, what if this actually gets so crazy that, you know, everyone has to like just stay home for like weeks or months or whatever. So I was like, I might as well just go to the store and stock up on some stuff. And I went to the store last night like at 8 o'clock and it was packed. There was no parking spots.
Starting point is 00:26:41 There was no shopping carts outside. The inside was just bare and empty. And what wasn't bare and empty was just like scattered and ripped apart. Like all the sugar bags were just like ripped open. There was no water. There was no tuna. There was no beans. There was no rice.
Starting point is 00:27:00 There was barely any meat, barely any milk and eggs. It was pretty bad. And then so I got what I could. and then I waited in line for an hour just to check out. And I took some pictures. I'll drop them in the chat right now so you guys can check them out. They had a sanitation station that looked super disgusting. Like if you touched it, you'd probably get sick for sure.
Starting point is 00:27:26 But yeah, it's pretty crazy out there, I know. Yeah, I'm actually going to have to make a run today to go pick stuff up. And I'm kind of worried, dude. I literally just got a text from Julianne's mom. and she's like the lines at Costco right now are insane. She's in line to get a membership because ours ran out. But I guarantee you when she starts going through the aisles, they're not even going to have half the things she needs right now.
Starting point is 00:27:50 There's people lying up at Costco today at 7 in the morning and they open up at 10. Jesus. You know what I heard the move is, is if you go to Staples, Staples actually sells toilet paper and stuff. So I don't know if people know the secret tech. Yeah. Eo looks so gross. I got to start like thinking outside the box for these things.
Starting point is 00:28:09 things like going to like even the gas stations that have toilet paper and stuff instead of going to like Costco and Walmart and all that because that's where everyone thinks to go. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's it's it's really dumb that like this kind of panic is setting in. You know, like if we just were a little bit smarter about it, everyone could have what they need and just come back to the store when I need more. But they want to be dumb about it.
Starting point is 00:28:31 I know. It's like, oh no. There's a new virus. Let me go to the store and buy 10 packages of toilet paper because I'm going to be pooping for months. And like, what do you, why is that your go-to logic? I don't understand. Yeah, I don't understand that.
Starting point is 00:28:48 It's weird. But along with that. It's not that weird because if you think about it, like, it's not that they're panicking, but it's like, what if, right? Worst case scenario, like, what if you can't leave your house for a month? Yeah, you're going to run out of toilet paper. You're going to run out of water. You're going to run out of food.
Starting point is 00:29:06 It's not that crazy. to stock up, to be honest. But everything in moderation, though. Right? But the thing is, like, there's this mentality of, like, you got to get it before everyone else does. That's what's happening is, you know, it's kind of scary to go to the store and there's no water. Like, that's scary.
Starting point is 00:29:25 So what happens when you go to a store that has water, you're going to buy a bunch of water. Like, I went to, so after I couldn't find water at the first grocery store I went to last night, I went to a different grocery store. And they only let you buy one, one container. of water. They don't let you buy more than one. So there was families. I noticed there's a couple families, like just buying them separately, like parents tell their kids. That's part of it. But yeah, it's, you know, it's, yes, it's, it's, it's ridiculous to some extent, but it's also not that ridiculous because you got to always think worst case scenario, like it would suck that you're
Starting point is 00:30:05 stuck out your home for one month. You can't go outside and then you have no water. Like, what are you going to do? Drink out of the toilet? Um, there's tap water. You could. Tap water works. I mean, you could. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:30:15 You have to boil it, though. I'm not saying, like, people shouldn't, like, go to the store and buy supplies. All I'm saying is, like, if you read anywhere, everything is make sure you have some medications on hand just in case you do get sick. Make sure you have some non-perishable food just in case, like, you, you know, you're at home for a few weeks. And then just make sure that you have a little bit extra stock on your essentials. If everyone had the mindset, I'm just going to go grab, you know, a couple months worth of toilet paper or, you know, whatever, then we wouldn't have like this vicious cycle of panic, right?
Starting point is 00:30:49 It's all that. It's those few people that start going to the grocery stores and freaking out and buying whole stocks of things that starts that cycle. But if everyone just approached it a little bit more calmly, stores wouldn't be running out of supplies. And you wouldn't have to feel like you need to find that one store with 10 cases of water and buy all 10 cases. It's that mentality that starts it off And then it's a domino effect So as like you know Everyone should be under the mindset
Starting point is 00:31:14 Hey I'm gonna go grab a few things To start this off and just be prepared And then you know Then we all casually just go back to the grocery store Every once in a while grab some things But no one wants to do that I know that's but that's not the reality right The reality is everyone is panicking
Starting point is 00:31:30 And we just have to deal with that Yep yep It's partly a media thing you know You turn on the news and you You see like, oh my God, all this crazy stuff about the virus. Your first thought is I'm probably going to have to stay home. I need to go to the store. I need to get all my stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I need my milk and bread. Whatever. I need 50 tubes of toothpaste right now. So yeah, like I get it. I think, you know, we could all handle it better. But it is what it is, right? And also you only really need like a little dollup on footbase. I'm voting for Amanda for president, by the way.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Thank you. Amanda 2020 doggo prez. She has a shit. Mom 2020. Mom 2020. We just need a mom in office, guys. That's true. So it's not just that too.
Starting point is 00:32:15 They're also canceling a bunch of stuff. Like E3 got canceled. Pax is canceled. So many things are getting closed out, which you know, which makes sense, right? Because especially these events are like very, you know, they're people who come from all over the world and all over the country to like attend these events. So I get it. You know, it's just crazy. that they're closing everything off.
Starting point is 00:32:37 The NBA season, hockey, everything is, I mean, it all makes sense, right? You want less people in tight quarters. Now, outsider inside doesn't really matter to stop spread the infection or everything. But it's like also from a standpoint, we all have to stay home. So what the heck are we supposed to do without having like, I mean, the average person being able to watch sports, gamers being able to, you know, follow along with E3 and things that we're excited about. tournaments and conventions and whatnot. So it's like it all makes sense,
Starting point is 00:33:09 but it's still like really disappointing, you know, seeing all of that. But it's, I mean, we have to take care of everyone and make sure that, you know, no one's getting sick. But it sucks. Definitely E3 I look forward to every single year.
Starting point is 00:33:21 I know a lot of people, yeah, I know a lot of people are like, they have opinions about E3, sometimes negative. But for me, I enjoy it. And I like watching all of the different conferences
Starting point is 00:33:33 and seeing, what's coming out in the next couple years and it's going to be super disappointing but I did read that they're thinking about doing the digital conferences I know Nintendo always does the direct Easy way of doing it Yeah and I just feel like everyone just needs to get on board with that right
Starting point is 00:33:49 Like I have a feeling in a couple years E3 is not even going to be a thing anymore It's all just going to be digital Like the actual convention part Here's a funny article about this that I just came across Phoenix Suns plan to simulate suspended NBA games on 2K via Twitch So we're going to have
Starting point is 00:34:05 East sports is taking over. Yeah, this is East Sports. Time to Shine. Yeah, it's funny. I was actually thinking about that. Like, you know,
Starting point is 00:34:15 because a lot of events are being closed down. Like, Overwatch League is closing out their home games. But like, you know, I think this is when we're going to start seeing like a lot more like online tournaments, happening and a lot more online events.
Starting point is 00:34:28 You know, where everyone can just tune in. And I'm really curious. Like, I really want to talk to some content creators to see like if they noticed any like jump in their viewership or their love their subscription base because people aren't really going as much out anymore. There's his girl I'm talking to, just side note, right?
Starting point is 00:34:41 That, you know, we're kind of talking here and there. She's like, hey, you want to come out and grab a drink with me? I'm like, nope. I'm going to stay home. Yeah. Plus it was like a 20 minute drive. Like, I ain't driving 20 minutes. What?
Starting point is 00:34:52 That's the calls. For sure. Like, I probably am not going to go anywhere for quite a while. But, um. You come or play some video games, Amanda? No, I don't. No. I don't want to be around.
Starting point is 00:35:03 anyone. I don't want to go to anyone's houses. Nothing like that. But yeah, I would honestly be really interested to see the overall stats on Twitch and like mixer and other platforms of just how many people are tuning in and watching. Like I'm sure there's going to be a massive boost in numbers for nearly everyone because of X. Like where are you going to go? So obviously the next step is turn on your TV, get on Twitch, whatever and distract
Starting point is 00:35:31 yourself, right? Yeah. Me, my dad and my sister were actually planning to go out. Because my mom's gone. She went to Mexico to visit family. And so it's just me and my dad here at the house. And my sister was like, hey, I'm going to come over on Friday. Let's go grab some dinner.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And like we were talking yesterday. He's like, hey, let's just cook something at home. Like, it's just chill at home, watching movie or something. And I'm sure a lot of people are going to be doing that. I read yesterday that AT&T suspended other data caps. So you can just pretty much do whatever you want on the internet, which was going to prove that I've done these data. data cap's hard to begin with, but that's a whole separate issue.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Yeah, no, like, the virus is proving a lot of things, right? There's a lot of misconceptions that you can't work from home or remote work isn't as good as being in the office or it's not possible. And so employers force people to go into the office every day. Well, this virus is basically teaching us. That's not true. A lot of people can be remote and work and be productive, especially if they have the structure and the tools and the resources to do so.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Yeah. And there's just a lot of other things. Like this virus is just like kind of bringing to light, you know, like maybe the internet isn't, you know, something that should be looked at as a privilege. Maybe it's a necessity nowadays. Maybe it's something that we all just need in order to be connected in case certain things happen in the world where we can't leave the house, right? So, so, yeah, like people just don't think about those things, though. Amanda, what is your platform on battle passes? I feel like the country really needs to know
Starting point is 00:37:04 before they vote for you. Thoughts? Wait, I'm sorry, what? What's my platform on battle passes? This is just like a 180 switch. Battle passes. I like free battle passes. Free battle passes are great.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Gives you quests and things to do while you're in the game and gives you free skins and stuff like that. Do I think that it should be extra content that you have to pay for? No. I think even having to unlock it from in-game currency that you earn through actually playing, if they're retaining you and being able to keep you in the game because you have something to work towards,
Starting point is 00:37:43 that should be value enough, in my opinion. That's enough. Water and toilet paper should be DLC, TBH. When we're releasing purple toilet paper. I'm sure you can do it, right? Um, I haven't, have we bought a battle pass? Just like, side question. Yeah, for, for Counterstrike.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Really? I used to buy the, no, not recently. I mean, when I used to play a lot, but I used to buy the, what do they call it? They didn't call it a battle pass, but they called it like a campaign or something. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I used to buy them all the time. Do the 2B2s. I, dude, I love all the whole.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Battle Passes, the skins, all that stuff. If the game is cool, I don't mind spending money on that stuff. But if the game sucks, then obviously I don't want to spend money on that. But if the game's good, yeah, why not? It makes a game more fun for me. It depends because, I mean, if the Battle Pass just has some, like, you know, skins and some basic stuff, like, I don't... Apex. I don't think, like, the Battle Pass has to be really good in my mind and pretty cheap for me to want to make
Starting point is 00:38:59 that purchase. I'm not saying that devs don't deserve that extra money for content, but if I'm already paying $60 for a game or full price for a game, I've already supported it. So it's just kind of like that extra step to have like those micro transactions that I'm not totally on board with, to be honest. Because I haven't even seen a battle pass yet that I think is worth spending that extra amount, to be honest with you. It's not anything where I'm like, oh my God, I absolutely need these items. I need to spend, you know, $10.00. on this pass, especially not Apex. Their first battle pass that they released was absolutely awful.
Starting point is 00:39:35 It was bad. I'm sorry. I love respawn. I think they're great at making games. Yeah, those battle passes haven't been good. The Fortnite battle passes actually aren't that bad because they have a lot of really cool. So like, I think at like early levels you get a couple skins. And as you get further on in the battle pass, those skins like level up to like different
Starting point is 00:39:52 variations. So it's so it's like a cool like representation of like your your progress to the season, which I think has been really smart. Yeah. Yeah. There's always a balance, right? Yeah, for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:05 If it's really good and it deserves that money, then for sure. But I see a lot of them rushed out for the sake of getting that extra cash and not having the time and thought put into them. So I think that's already turned me off from them. But, I mean, if there's ever a really good battle pass, that's pretty cheap. Like, yeah, I would probably buy it. Just haven't seen it yet. The Discord server should have a battle pass.
Starting point is 00:40:28 I'm ready for it. I'm ready for it. Let's do it. I'll lock some poppy skins. You can get a mommy pin. You can get a Vivian bald cap at the highest tier. Discord should make it so you could do different, like, through them officially, different themes for the app. Like having different backgrounds and stuff.
Starting point is 00:40:53 I think that would be super cool. I don't know why they haven't done that. Like imagine having like an Animal Crossing. Discord theme. That would be amazing. Get on it. Don't say that. Say that.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Give them the idea. We're a two one, yeah. I know. Pay me Discord. No, I'm just kidding. All right. So we got some news topics here. So we're going to mix it up on the podcast a little bit because we want to
Starting point is 00:41:17 bring out some more some more topic and stuff. Do you want to do that now, Ivan? Do you want to do that later? Like, do it as like a last thing or beginning thing? I don't know. I'm just trying to stick to the script. The script is just more like a set of guidelines and really a thing. But yeah, you know, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:41:36 We should probably mention it since we haven't even mentioned the giveaway. We should probably at least mention it. There's a giveaway. What is it, Ivan? Wait, what is it, Amanda? What? Take it away, Ivan. Take it away, Ivan.
Starting point is 00:41:50 So, we are giving away to WD Black. SSTs. Which ones? I'm glad you ask. Great question, Dennis. Let me get information for you. We're giving away two WD Black SN-750 NVME SEDs, which deliver top-tier performance for gaming and hardware enthusiasts, re-speeds up to 3,470 megabytes per second for improved
Starting point is 00:42:20 load times. Available capacities range for 250 to 2 terabytes. and I don't know what the rest of the stuff is. Anyway, hashtag ad. Hashtag ad. Yeah, but thank you, WD, for hooking us up with Duce to give away. Yeah, we have a pretty good relationship with Western Digital. They're super cool dudes and, you know, they're like supporting us and, you know, we're going to give some stuff away.
Starting point is 00:42:44 So do you want to do we want to just like do one now and then like do the other one later? What does everyone else? Yeah. Oh, my God, dude. Who wouldn't want one of these? That's so sick. You have a man? Can I win one?
Starting point is 00:42:58 We can give away one now, one at the end. And then we're going to give away two more on Twitter later tonight. All right. We just need our homie Theo here, the giveaway manager. That's a bug him. Theo, are you available? So, by the way, for those who are listening not live, you're missing out, but not listening to the podcast on Discord.org.
Starting point is 00:43:23 slash nzxte every Thursday except for today 10 a 10 a Pacific Center time. All right Theo go and give it away. Let's do a five minute timer on that. Now for you to win, you have to be listening. If you're not listening, if you're not in the voice channel, you can't win. I want those numbers. They do be looking good though. They do be looking super, super nice. What's the size of these? Do you know what the size is? I didn't look at the picture.
Starting point is 00:43:53 These are one terabyte. Actually, I need some. I need some more space. I'm going to enter this giveaway. I know. I need some more space. I have this old hard drive, this old Samsung Evo like 9 something. I even know.
Starting point is 00:44:10 I got it like five years ago, I think, like when SSDs are like just the big thing. And it's just a boot drive. It's like 250 gigal bits. It's not enough. It's not enough. Yeah. I definitely need more space. I can't even, I went to go download, uh, Call of Duty and I'm like, 100 and something gigs.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Are you joking? Like, it makes total sense because of the different and everything. No, it does. It makes sense. But it's also like, holy crap. Like, I remember when it was like, yeah, let me just download this 10 gig thing, you know? And now it's like, everything seems to be, you know, getting close to 100 or over 100. It's insane.
Starting point is 00:44:51 and I never have space for anything. And I'm also going to throw out, too, if you are, if you are a moderator, I'm going to call it here. And I think it should be okay for them to enter. Are you, are you right? Because it don't get paid, right? Yeah, anyone can enter except for employees. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:45:08 As soon as you said anybody, I'm like, yeah, go ahead and enter, guys. I'm going to pin it to the top. If you're not listening, oh, we're going to pin it. Nice. Good job. Yeah, so five minutes. And then we'll, we'll do that. Um, okay, so let's talk about some news while this is going on.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Um, I don't know what the heck is Lego Mario stuff in. It is. I saw a little bit of it. I was not impressed because I don't care about Lego and I really don't care about Mario that much. Ivan, you want to talk about this? Okay. Or Amanda? I was just going to say, I would love to see, um, chats, uh, thoughts and opinions on
Starting point is 00:45:43 the new Lego Mario. Um, I actually don't think it even looks like anything Lego to be. honest, not at all. But the idea of being able to make a like a Mario level and then actually like having Mario react to it and having little sounds and things. And especially like when you complete the level it makes like that end level sound. I think it's pretty cool. Like, um, I don't know. If I were a kid, I would want it. I'm just going to say that.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Are you a kid? At heart, yes. So I'm going to buy it basically. Are you toys of risk? Kid. Oh, no. Toys R Us. Ripped Toys R Us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:26 So for anyone wondering, thank you, Alan. That is the new Lego, Mario. And I think it's super cool. This looks nothing like Lego or Mario to me. It looks like Mario. It doesn't look like Lego. Someone mentioned Roblox in whatever company chats. It looks nothing like, it looks more like Wario, to be honest, than Mario.
Starting point is 00:46:45 What? Yeah. That's true. Yeah. Because Wario's from like a fat dude. Yeah, I don't I'm a huge Mario fan As some of you might know
Starting point is 00:46:55 And I personally don't like it I don't think it Looks anything like Mario Or Lego So What? If your daughter wanted that You wouldn't buy it for her
Starting point is 00:47:06 No, because she's not three Three years or older Okay, she was three Age for Lego She was three She might eat it That I mean I probably would
Starting point is 00:47:18 Just if she wanted it But And they're chomping on Mario's head. It doesn't look that much like Mario to me. The only like the thing I've ever liked was bionicles, like the first generation of bionicles. So you can like twist like the little thing in the back and they smack each other. Bionicles, dude.
Starting point is 00:47:32 I haven't heard them forever. Bionicles are sick. Oh my God. I freaking forgot about these. Holy crap. I used to have so many of these. Oh my God. I think it had the one with like the scythe or something.
Starting point is 00:47:47 And like I think the. I don't. remember if you were supposed to fight with them but like I figured since like they did like some actiony things that they're supposed to fight so like I would just so be like really aggressive about it and I'll beat my friends's bionicles up and I'm like yo you're getting you're your parts now dude because I won it's not I don't think I actually took anything but that was like the idea but yeah but logos are cool they look really sick I think um I was watching some documentary I watch a lot of like a lot of many documentaries about Lego and I think
Starting point is 00:48:17 like Bionicle actually saved the company because they were like in a really bad spot in that in that time before they came out. And originally like the, the, Bionical. You're like originally the dudes didn't like it. Like the CEOs were like, this is a dumb idea. Don't do it. He's like,
Starting point is 00:48:33 nah, man, trust. These are really, really cool. And then it ends up making like a butt ton of money. And like, I guess, uh, guess you're right. Is it right? Diamond in the rough. There seems to happen a lot with companies where someone has an idea. Nobody likes it.
Starting point is 00:48:47 And then, you know, they somehow through some perseverance to bring it out. And it's like the biggest thing ever. That is literally the history of our Discord server. Yeah. With a dumb idea that no one liked and now we're stuck with it. Now we can't get rid of you guys. Yep. Giveaways still going, guys.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Check the pins. A minute and three seconds. Only 32 people entered, huh? Really good chances. Imagine winning a SSD for just chilling in a Discord. and listening to three nerds talk about bionicles. Never thought I'd see the day. Never thought.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I was listening to this really cool podcast called Business Wars. And the episode I was listening to was about PlayStation versus Nintendo and how the guy who invented the PlayStation had the fight tooth and nail just to get the idea even like rolling. Because at that point in time, Sony didn't see, the benefit of like digital media or digital anything at all. And he had to like basically be super sneaky about it and like find a way to get this project done.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And like now, you know, PlayStation's like one of the biggest companies in a world. And I think, I think the PlayStation division is like one of the biggest parts of Sony. Because it's just crazy profitable. I got an idea right now. Congratulations to Bevin for winning the SSD. Look at that. Hey. Congrats.
Starting point is 00:50:11 We should give out the other one in the, uh, announcement channel. Announce this channel and tag everyone right now and see what happens to the podcast. Oh my God. No, thank you. Let's do it. Let's do it. I am scared.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Let's tag everyone and then join the podcast channel to win the other ones. See what happens. All right, do it then. I don't know if you can set it up, but someone set it up though. Jesus, we're going to blow everything up. This is a great radio, by the way.
Starting point is 00:50:45 I nominate Ivan. since it's his idea. True. Don't pin it though. I mean, if it's an announcement, you're just doing each other. Do we publish it?
Starting point is 00:50:55 Oh, God. Excuse me, if you could add like multiple channels for these giveaways, then people can really choose what they want to.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Bluble, blah, blah. Oh, no. I can't help. The shade has been thrown. I'm doing it.
Starting point is 00:51:14 I'm waiting for the announcer right now. I'm so scared. about with what's about to happen right now. I love tagging everyone. I did too. It's great. It's just people get salty over it. Hey, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:51:27 They can leave the server if they don't like it. It's fine with me. Yikes. I do it all the time when people, like, I get a lot of server invites and I don't care. I just join every single one of them that I get because I literally don't go to them. I just spend time in ours. But whenever people tag tag me in it,
Starting point is 00:51:47 I just leave the server. What's the point of joining then? What? Because I just want to, I want to, I guess, show that, you know, I don't care or support them, I guess. I don't know. But if it becomes annoying to me, like, if they just tag everyone, like, every other day, I just leave. People ask me to be add-ins other server. And then I'm like, what do I have to do?
Starting point is 00:52:08 And I said nothing. I said, sure, make me an ad-a-old. Like, imagine just leaving a server instead of complaining about how it's run. right imagine imagine man people always want it their way that works though
Starting point is 00:52:26 always right you guys okay giveaways coming giveways coming okay so we're just gonna let that happen Theo can go ahead and set up the giveaway in a in a second or two three there we go
Starting point is 00:52:41 bam all right Theo going to set it up set it up Set it up and pin it. Set it up and pin it. All right. So while that's going through,
Starting point is 00:52:51 you know what the biggest news of the week is, though? You guys ready for this? The biggest news? Amanda, do you know what it is? I'm sorry. I'm just hearing a lot of beeping from like everyone doing the channel. How do I turn this off? I turned on streamer mode.
Starting point is 00:53:08 I turned on streamer mode for that. Okay. All right. I'm paying attention. I'll try. What is the biggest news of the week, Amanda? What do you think? This was a good idea.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Biggest news of the week? Biggest news of the week. Can you guess? I didn't prepare anything for this. Biggest news of the week is Animal Crossing and Doom coming out in one week. That's the biggest announcement is another announcement. Yes. That Animal Crossing and Doom are coming out in a week.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Yes, it is. How excited are you? I. One to, one to 15 million. 15 million, but solely for Animal Crossing. Not anything for Doom. Nothing for Doom just because... Doom isn't my game.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I'll just put that out there. It's just not my game. I'm going to watch you play it because why not? Shout out Twitch.tv. I just had to mute the server. All I hear you just beeps right now. How do you do it? Here's a secret tech.
Starting point is 00:54:08 You go to your settings and turn on streamer mode. And streamer mode automatically meets all your notifications and stuff like that. So yeah, it's a... real easy way of doing it. Yeah, but I would say I'm excited about Doom just to have a really good single player like action experience, which I haven't had in like a good minute. But Animal Crossing, I'm excited just to relax
Starting point is 00:54:33 because I don't have any like relaxing chill games. I think you and I were talking about this the other day. We started playing a Deep Rock Galactic because it's not like a super intense game, right? And you don't really have to like put a whole lot of effort for it unless you're playing on our difficulties. so you can just literally drop in as your little dwarf man, you start mining some stuff,
Starting point is 00:54:50 you kill a couple bugos, and you're good to go, you know? Yeah, Animal Crossing is the ultimate, like, chill game. That, to me, is super relaxing, and with everything going on right now, I just want to escape, you know, like getting into a game, especially that's literally about you being on a deserted island
Starting point is 00:55:08 where no one is bothering you. Sounds perfect right now. Sounds like the best game to ever exist right now. Especially, yeah, I know, with everything happening, it's like, let's just have a nice, friendly experience. Yeah, we should probably get, he's not on. Mr. Resett, he's not on. We probably should put this into a collapsible category because of all the people. I'll do it right now.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Yeah, just don't break it. So, yeah, so for those who are joining in, welcome, this is the NZXT Clubcast, episode 32. The official podcast of the NZXT community, we do this every Thursday, except today we're doing it on Friday because we're working for home. and still working through some processes to get everything going. But I think so far it's going well. If you guys have any feedback for us, please let us know.
Starting point is 00:55:56 You can probably DM me about it. DM Denny, Denny for today or Ushoki number 7269, I believe is my Discord tag. But yeah, this is a podcast we do every single week. We talk about community stuff. We talk about news. We talk about pastas.
Starting point is 00:56:12 We talk about Doggy University. we talk a lot about games speaking of which though i want to ask you dennis how are you liking call a duty war zone i'm actually liking it quite a bit i'm not gonna lie i want to know right now everyone that's listening currently or anyone that's in chat if you have played call of duty war zone let us know what your opinion is on it what you like what you don't like what your thoughts are um dennis what do you what do you like and dislike about it so what i what i like about it is the shooting, right, in the sense that College Duty is not a mechanically difficult game,
Starting point is 00:56:52 and if you think it is, then you're kidding yourself. It's a game for Normies, right? It's a game for Normies. It's super simple, but that's what makes it fun. And I think they've done a really good job of simplifying, like the looting and the weapons in the game. Like, you literally just, you point and shoot, right? And there are different colors, right?
Starting point is 00:57:12 from gray to I think orange like legendary is the best the best color right so it's uh it's it's it's it's it's it's real nice right you
Starting point is 00:57:23 you spot someone you just point and click and you know your bullet hose murders them and then you you go like I'm having such an easy time killing people and I don't know it's because like I'm just a god gamer or if it's because you're such a god gamer I'm saying dude last night we were tearing it up we were
Starting point is 00:57:40 we were spanking people left and right. It was great. Super fun. I just put the podcast stuff in the collapsible category and I don't think it does anything. No, it does a little bit. It does a little bit. It does a little bit.
Starting point is 00:57:56 You don't want to scroll down as much. Yeah, it's pretty nuts. So you're saying Amanda? So in response to that, I am pretty picky with BRs. I think we've had a lot of BRs. and they all have similarities, but call of duty hits something a little special for me.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Like I, there's a lot of mechanics in it that I dislike. But overall, I like the gunplay. I like that it has little objectives and things that you can do within matches that make it more rewarding even if you don't win, which is super important to me because I'm a pepega and you throw me in, I'm likely going to lose.
Starting point is 00:58:38 someone clip that I'm a bigga thank you um so I really like that you can jump in you can have fun with it it kind of feels a little bit like call a duty multiplayer at times but yeah it does also super you know simplistic and that that definitely speaks to a different audience right like you have someone who's going to be playing pub g or arma br or something like that they're going to be min maxing every little thing they're going to be looking for all the attachments or you know they're going to have much more like technical insight on that right but people who want to play something like call duty br in my opinion it's you want to get in you want to shoot stuff and you want to have a good time and that's about it right i mean it's the gulag is also like a different take um we we can talk about
Starting point is 00:59:25 that in a minute because i know you have opinions about the gulag but just like the base br it's very simplified right you grab a gun and it's good to go no attachments right you don't really have a bunch of healing items like that's what I didn't like about about call of duty a blackout with which game was it it was um black ops three or four I don't remember which number it was but like they tried they tried to do way too much like all these different items and attachments and stuff like that it was it was way too complex for what call duty is and call duty is not a very complex game right yeah like 50 levels of armor and people lasted forever and all these other mechanics It just, it wasn't, it was a, it was too much.
Starting point is 01:00:08 It was too much for me. And this is like a definitely like, in my opinion, a better take, right? If call of duty is going to do a BR doing it the way that they're, they currently are doing it is the best version. Like I think it's the best version they could do if that makes sense. It has everything. I think someone who plays call a duty religiously would want in a BR personally. The gulag though Are we ready to talk about that?
Starting point is 01:00:36 So I think the gulag is a very interesting and kind of a fun way to get back into the game that rewards you for clapping cheeks. Thoughts.
Starting point is 01:00:49 I don't disagree with you that it's interesting. I don't disagree that it's something that's a different take that is more unique to call a duty. My problem with it is that people can cheese it really easily.
Starting point is 01:01:04 And that's something that bothers me. I think having some different guns that you spawn in with, other than just like mostly pistols from every time I've been thrown in and it's been a pistol or a shotgun would be nice. And getting rid of being able to use like nades and stuff like that. Because I don't know. Sometimes when I go in, it's like I don't even have a chance to really be one of you one that person because they've already literally chucked a nade.
Starting point is 01:01:31 randomly in the distance and it just takes half my health or kills me, right? So I think that they could work on it make it a little bit better. I don't think it's a bad take on a BR.
Starting point is 01:01:44 It's just, it's interesting to me. You hate it. I know you hate it. No, I hated it. I hated it when I thought that it was the only way you could get back into the pitch. When I learned that they have
Starting point is 01:01:54 sort of a apex mechanic where you can call your teammates back into the game, I was like, okay. So I don't have to just completely die and be out of the game because someone cheesed this one of you one, right? So I don't hate it as much anymore, I will say. So I agree.
Starting point is 01:02:14 I don't have a problem with the grenades because you can't use them right away, right? There's like two, three seconds before when you start fighting someone in the Gulag before you can throw the grenades out. And I think it's supposed to deter you from like sicking in the back and just like camping like your spawn or like the spawn that. you're in. So like my my method is just I just run in. I stick to one of the sides and I just I just listen. I just I just listen really carefully and then I just start shooting out on when I see him go through and like I think 90% of the time I win. It's only a few times or like I'm this frigging shooting this dude like 20 million times and then he turns out once and hits me in the head and then I'm
Starting point is 01:02:52 dead which is kind of annoying but yeah. Yeah. I'm just conflict in the chat saying I hate how people stun me and win. Yeah so in the gulag right? When you spawn in for those who haven't played war zone yet. Oh, right, first off, Miko, congratulations. All right, if you want to win, here's a secret word, Miko. You got to type it in chat.
Starting point is 01:03:11 You got to say nightlight. Say nightlight in chat, and we'll give you your prize. Are you listening? Not you. Not you. Miko. What is Miko's?
Starting point is 01:03:24 Y'all Puegas need to stop spamming. I don't see him. I don't see him. Uh-oh. Oh, he got it? Okay. I don't said he got it. just spammed it because everyone else was
Starting point is 01:03:33 spamming it. Okay, okay, okay. Let's do it one more time. Let's do it. Uh, Nintendo Switch, type Nintendo Switch, the winner. And watch, everyone's going to start doing it now. I hate all you guys. Why did you do that? Okay. Okay, okay, hello, Nico, DM me.
Starting point is 01:03:52 And I'll give it to you. Because obviously he was listening, then I have a better idea. Everyone or no, everyone should just spam Mommy Head right now. All right, if you if you if you want just DM me and then we'll we'll get it started out. Mommy head. Mommy head.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Mummy head. Okay. So, so in the gulag, right? When you, when you first spawn in, you see like a circular arena where the people are fighting and you, uh, you can throw rocks. And I've heard stories of people that if you throw a rock perfectly at someone who's in the gulag and hit him in the head, it'll actually stun them, which is freaking hilarious. That's like a thing you could do. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Yeah. To me, it's funny. And just, just like a real quick aside for people who are complaining in the chat. We do these giveaways for two reasons. One, to bring awareness to the podcast and two, to give love to people who are supporting us. Yeah, and we did two giveaways. The first giveaway was for the people before we tagged everyone. And I think like 30 people under.
Starting point is 01:04:56 And then we had one where we tagged everyone. I think like, how many people under 200? Yeah, something like that. I'm actually going to reduce the slow mode to something lower because I think 15 is way too much. I know we changed that, but stat. Yeah, but I would say overall, I'm enjoying war zone. I think it's actually more well thought out than I thought it was. The only thing that I don't really enjoy about it is that the kill streaks a little much.
Starting point is 01:05:25 I don't think you should be able to just throw like a, like a, you know, a precision strike or like a nuke essentially on like top of a building um and i think there's way too many chances to bring people back there's way too many chances to bring people back because i think there's a game we're playing where i think i brought you in i bought you back in like three times in a row or something right right yeah i think you should have one chance at the gulag and then you should have one chance with getting bought back and that's it like that's your two chances that should be it i don't think you should continuously be able to be brought back because you can also be revived if you're down.
Starting point is 01:05:59 So that's different mechanics that can bring you back into the game. And, you know, if your whole team gets wiped once, should you really be able to get wiped and then go back and restart and stuff like that? I don't think it's fair to the other people that are in the BR. It's like, I don't know, it doesn't really make you feel like you're making a difference when you kill people because you know that they can just jump right back in, right? Whereas in other BRs, it's more of a permanent thing. So yeah, like I agree.
Starting point is 01:06:30 I think there's way too many chances. They do need to balance that a little bit. Yeah, but I'll say overall, I'm enjoying it. I think limiting it to three people is cool. Just the time to kill is super short. I kind of was hoping to be like a little bit longer because like an apex, it's super long, right? Like you can literally blast someone with like multiple shots and then they had behind a corner. they're back up the full health.
Starting point is 01:06:57 And then you know, and then you started up again. Like there's these, there's these fights that we'll get into where like you're literally like fighting the same group like 20 minutes and it makes it that much easier for someone to come in in third party you. I don't think I've ever really been third partied in war zone. Like other than like like near the end of the match when the circle is really, really small, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:19 The apex is like it's so dependent on third parting. And that's like literally like, but like, you know, when, when you and I play, what a strategy revolves around oh we hear people shooting let's wait a second and then let's wait a second and then go shoot them and then we're going to win and then once we win that fight someone else comes in and they clap us so it's like okay like where's that to be honest like where's really the skill on that you know yeah exactly but yeah no I think I think Worson's been been pretty good performance issues aside you know I mean that's just going to happen it's a big game it's you know I don't know how it's coded I know that I can't stream it I tried to and it does
Starting point is 01:07:51 something with like my upload and like I skip a bunch of frames I don't know what what it is need to figure that out. That's kind of weird, too, because Julianne has lower specs than you do in her PC and she was able to stream out. I don't know how it looked on stream, but it's interesting to me that you weren't able to stream that. I think it might be my old hard drive. I think this may be starting to die.
Starting point is 01:08:12 I've had it for a while. It's an old SSD, like one of the first gen SSDs that came out. I was going to hoping I'd win that Western Digital Black. I was going to say. Probably just doesn't work for Dennis because, He doesn't know anything about computers. I sure I don't. I have the builders build my 510 elite.
Starting point is 01:08:31 You look at Julianne's setup, man. It's like the nicest setup I've ever seen. I know. Amanda's setup is so freaking nice. If you guys haven't seen it, check out her Twitter. He's going to score down a little bit, but it's so, so clean, super clean. He's don't look at my Twitter. He's not looking at Twitter.
Starting point is 01:08:52 I'm going to cancel Amanda when she runs for president. you're going to cancel me I'm just going to show her Twitter and be like we can't let this woman run the country are you crazy look at her tweets because I put such wild things on there I literally just retweet the NZXC account
Starting point is 01:09:09 you're canceling yourself that's my job got them all right let's get some questions from the community we have quite a bit on Ivan's pinning stuff that we shouldn't be pinning guys don't pin anything I only pin the giveaway
Starting point is 01:09:24 stuff. Also, don't unpin the giveaway stuff because I need those stats. I already did because. Because it limits, it limits the questions. You have a limited amount of pins. There's only 50 that you can put in there. You can still find them. Scroll up like an hour. I'm not going to do that. No, I think people were saying we had about 200 people sitting in the chat for the giveaway. So that's your, that's your, that's your stat right there. Okay. First question for Magnum, If the N6T HQ was being sucked into a black hole and you can only say one thing from the building, what would it be? Ooh.
Starting point is 01:10:01 Easy. Vivian Snack drawer. I was literally thinking Vivian Snack drawer too. Yeah, because then you can survive, like just on her snacks alone that she hoards. You could probably live like probably three months on that alone. I'm going to have to agree. Vivian snack drawer, 100%. Yeah, you're taking that.
Starting point is 01:10:20 All right. Is there a chance a Pucci PC case will ever really release? from next. There's always a chance. There we go. Yeah. Jenner Connobey wants to know, can we touch fingies? Only if you wash your hands about a billion times.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Maybe not even then. No, you cannot touch my fingers. Just make sure that you wash for 20 seconds, right? You sing the happy birthday song two times. You get in between your fingewebbing's and you get all the spots you normally don't hit. And then you'll be good. My Twitter fingers are insured. I can't let anyone touch them.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Okay. Next one to know, do you think we will ever be able to rotate the Cracken Z-73 screen and the software for people who have mounted their cooler sideways for size reasons? So you can. So you want to have the pump pipes or whatever facing either to the right, which is 3 o'clock position, or to the bottom, which is the 6 o'clock position. and we have a 90 degree rotation angle within CAM software. And I believe we're going to be adding a little bit more rotation software.
Starting point is 01:11:31 I don't know what the software work, firmware work, what do you mean? I'm trying to think of the word here, what it takes to get that software in there or to get those options in there. But yeah, 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock, one of those two. pretty much it so yes you can answer your question it is rotatable yeah it is to the software right now
Starting point is 01:12:01 90 degrees you can also check out our YouTube channel nxx t on YouTube and see the nzxti crackin X and crackin Z walkthrough video and it'll explain how to properly install your cracking so you can get your screen looking the right way hashtag ad
Starting point is 01:12:16 Alan wants to know Have you ever pretended to be sick to get out of something so you can play a game? Yes, while I worked at Games Stop. What games? I don't remember, but there was a couple different times I just dodged my shifts so I could stay home and play games. I was a console club too, so. Ew. I know.
Starting point is 01:12:41 I know. I know. It is pretty sick. I've never, I've never pretended to be sick. to play video games. I pretended to be sick not to play video games. Really?
Starting point is 01:12:57 Yeah, I think there was like one game night I got invited to and I was like, oh no, I'm not feeling too good. I'm not going to go. And if they're listening, no. Yeah. He's been outed. I took time off
Starting point is 01:13:12 when I was working at Sears way back in the day for World Warcraft, the Frozen Throne so they can be their day one. And obviously, you never want to be their day one for like an MMO launch because it never works. The servers are always like just dying on that day. But you know, I got some good gameplay in.
Starting point is 01:13:32 And I did ask Ivan for time off during the Destiny 2, Shadowkeep launch. I'm like, yo, I'm taking this Tuesday off. Don't talk to me. I think that was it. I don't really take a whole lot of time off for Rudy games. I mean, it's playing when I get home, you know? Imagine just being just being able to.
Starting point is 01:13:51 able to say that to your boss. Yeah. Imagine. I don't care what Dennis does. No one does. Let's see. If video games didn't exist anymore, what would you do from Alan? Take up a normie hobby, like knitting or something?
Starting point is 01:14:11 I don't know. Normy hobby? I would probably play board games or card games. Loteria. Ooh, I would probably I think I would do something not gaming related. So does this, okay, so this is video games.
Starting point is 01:14:35 There's this one guy who's like, supposedly the best D&D game master in the world. And it literally charges people to travel to their games to be dungeon master. I think that would be a dope job. I've seen that guy before. Oh, yeah? Well, I've seen that there's like a YouTube documentary on him.
Starting point is 01:14:56 It's like the longest running, he's also like has like the longest running Dungeons and Dragons game ever. It's like been 30 years. It was the same guy. What? Yeah. Does it count if you, if you swap out numbers though? Like should it be, should it be like the same people? No, it has been.
Starting point is 01:15:15 It has like these people. They fly to his house like every year on a certain day for this game. If it's once a year, though, does it really count as like an ongoing campaign? Like, I feel like this should be like, it should be more consistent though, right? I feel like once a year is that enough for like to get a good amount of D&D. And I played D&D once and just combat takes like a million hours because there's so many actions and like roles and stuff you got to do. I don't know. Wait, why don't we play?
Starting point is 01:15:45 What the heck? D&D? Yeah. I don't play because my mom told me it's the devil's a game. Did she really? Seriously, I played it once in third grade. My friends came over and we were playing in my front yard. My mom came out and she saw what we were doing.
Starting point is 01:15:59 She's like, you're never playing that game ever again. And I just never did it. I mean, it is kind of like crazy. Like if you think about it, like it's all these like, you know, monsters. Like, I don't know. I guess if you don't know, it does like satanic. Elbs and stuff, right? elves are evil
Starting point is 01:16:21 Yeah Magnumosity wants to know If you could be in complete control Of one thing in the world What would it be? This Discord server But that's never going to happen Good answer
Starting point is 01:16:32 I would say The wind I want to be an airbender He said one thing He didn't say what that thing had to be You would be Airbender like Like a true anime fan
Starting point is 01:16:49 That'd be Cholo Bender A foo bender Oh my god Just like lean to the left and right Yeah Next wants to know What gaming GPU would you go for If money wasn't a problem
Starting point is 01:17:04 The best GPU You can possibly The best bang for your bug GPU is still the GTX 970 Greg Zalazar Actually just posted a screenshot He did a $200 computer that has a 970, and he did the feature mark benchmark test,
Starting point is 01:17:31 whatever it's called. And it performed better than over 50% of all the computers. So it's still a really good GPU. I have one myself, and it runs any game, like, no problem. And it's pretty cheap. You can get it, like, pretty cheap nowadays. What frames do you get, though? like what's your i mean i play red die redemption and get like 60 frames 60
Starting point is 01:17:55 i mean i've played c s gregn't i play c s go i get like 300 well yeah c s go you can run on a calculator nowadays yeah that's a good benchmark i mean it for the for the price i don't think there's anything better because i mean you can get it for like less than a hundred bucks now i'm pretty sure Oh no, yeah. I have an old 980 sitting like in my in my closet right now that I haven't gotten rid of yet for my old build. I think for me like I think for me as I've gotten like, you know, I've just gotten like into other games and the performance gets like worse and worse from these games. Because here's the thing is that even these games are like just more powerful. They're just, I feel like they're optimized way more poorly, you know. I feel like these AAA games are not optimizing the way they should be for like how good they look.
Starting point is 01:18:47 So if you don't have like a 1070 at the bare least And you can barely get like you know 120 frames And especially if you have like a 144 hertz monitor And you want those frames like some of these games have a really poor performance That's my that's my uh It's my preach for today code your games better so they don't want to Yeah if you look at the minimum required specs for any game The graphics card's always like a 960 or like you like a nine 50 or like you like a nine
Starting point is 01:19:17 50, 770. It's not like you don't need a 1080 or anything like that. Yeah. And at some time, though, you know, it's like, you don't really have to play games of like full top specs. You know, if you turn everything down like the low and medium and you have certain things on and off, like you can definitely get a good amount of performance. Like I know when, um, when people would ask me about BLD and they think, oh, hey, does a starter
Starting point is 01:19:39 PC, you know, run Fortnite at like 140 frames? And I'm like, yes. And you'll get way more because we test all over games at like the highest. possible settings with like every single setting on. So, you know, if you're only seeing like 170 frames, you turn down like two settings from I've heard, you can bump that up to like 200 easy, like super, super easy. Those numbers might be wrong though,
Starting point is 01:20:00 because the testers are watching anime while they test all this stuff. Oh no. But yeah, it's like, you know, like just a simple things. Like you turned on your, your anti-aliasing to like two times or something. You turn down shadows and like it's like a lot of things that make games look prettier, but don't really like add anything to your gameplay and you can
Starting point is 01:20:21 get a lot more performance for the stuff that you have on. So I'm sure that factors into a lot of post-processing and things like that. That's a long answer for I want to Titan. If I had all the money in the world, I'd just buy dual Titans. I would have Nate shots to build.
Starting point is 01:20:42 Agreed Amanda? All right, agreed. Question. Are you folding at home while doing the podcast? I'm not folding at home. I'm holding my laundry. Are you really? I did this morning and my wife really appreciated it. Nice.
Starting point is 01:20:58 Look at you, dude. Did you make you a breakfast, Brito? She actually made me my breakfast today. Hey, let's go. While I was folding the laundry. Next, secretly. Question, do you sometimes play game secretly when working? No, we don't.
Starting point is 01:21:14 I think we talked about this last week. We don't really secret. We just play the game. Yeah, exactly. One, if we were to, we just do it. And two, we can just play at home. Like, we're here to work and kick butt and record podcasts. Though Ivan did complain to me once because I was opening Gwent packs in the office.
Starting point is 01:21:34 I just complain when you're multitasking, you know, like, just focus on one thing, man. Like, that day, I remember you came in and you just sat down, then you turn on your computer and then you put on Twitch stream on one monitor, split with the YouTube video, and then Slack on the other monitor with Discord below that with, oh, and then you split that with opening Gwempex. I'm like, are you seriously doing this right now? Just do one thing, man. If it's going to be opening Gwem packs, just do that right now.
Starting point is 01:22:05 I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating because I don't think there was a stream up, but I for sure was opening packs. And we were talking about something. I forget we were talking about that morning. It was like some little mini meeting we were having or something. multitasking is a myth Question, does Pucci have a girlfriend from Alex? Pucci has friends.
Starting point is 01:22:27 Friends of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. We have a bunch of questions, but I don't want to go over time too much because we're super busy. We might get to some more later depending on how this goes. Amanda, are you ready for your segment? It's not going to take 30 minutes. We can do a few more questions. Awesome. Great.
Starting point is 01:22:48 Cool. What do you think about the new NZXT H1? What kind of builds would, what kind of builds it would be good for? It would be good for a, for an EATX. It's only good for one build. Obviously, you want a really small PC. And there's already people posting them online. So check the Battlestation subreddit, the NZXT subreddit.
Starting point is 01:23:13 People already have some pretty cool. setups with it. But yeah, there's only one build that you can possibly make with that. And that's if you want something that's really small and compact. Yep. And I know we're going to get questions. And I think we have a couple questions about this. We are getting more H-1s.
Starting point is 01:23:32 They're coming soon. I think the latest I heard is like next week or the week after is we're going to have more. I don't know the quantity. We don't know the colors. As you all know, there's a lot of delays in shipping for everything. So to be patient and we'll get them in If you ask about your country of origin If you're going to have H-1s
Starting point is 01:23:53 Yes you will It's going to be soon Again we don't know when So yeah Things are going to tough out here right now If you don't know You haven't been paying attention to the news Yeah but I did
Starting point is 01:24:07 See in our Slack chat yesterday That they are in a route They should be here soon Yeah doing what we can to get them in there as quickly as possible. Would it ever be an Unagi stickers we could buy? We can make them and we won't sell them. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:29 I guess if someone designs a sticker with featuring Unagi and it gets voted for the design contest, we will turn into a sticker that we give away, but we won't sell it to you. Exactly. Vivian could make Unagi stickers and sell them if she wants. She could, yeah. She owns the intellectual property rights to her dog. Not anymore. I just trademarked Junagi while we were talking about it.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Will the N60H1 ever fall over if he accidentally knocked it a bit as it's small and tall? Yeah, anything would fall over if you accidentally knock it over. It doesn't have to be an 8-1. Like, it could be a soda can. Oh, here's a good one. How do you feel about people leaving their caution-tempered glass stickers on their PC? Do you think it ruins the building anyway? Safety first, I always say.
Starting point is 01:25:18 If that sticker helps you remember not to break the glass, then by all means, leave it on. But if you need a sticker to remember not to break glass, you probably have other problems. Since it's Friday the 13th, have you ever had to stop playing a game because it was too scary? No, because I know video games are not real. So same thing with scary movies. I don't get scared watching a scary movie or playing a scary video game. I know it's not real. If I was being chased by Freddie Krueger in real life, I probably would get scared.
Starting point is 01:25:53 But if he pops out in a movie, I'm not going to freak out. And if I'm playing Doom and I see a monster, like jump out of a corner, I'm not going to freak out either. It's not real. It's a video game. I think you're lying and I think you're actually a big scared of cat. I've actually been synthesized to this stuff because when I was a little kid, I stayed up one night. I vividly remember I was six. years old and I wanted to watch Freddy Kruger and my mom and dad didn't let me but I snuck
Starting point is 01:26:22 into the living room and I watched it and then I loved it. I didn't get scared at all. I thought it was really cool and I scared my sisters and I told my sisters that if they flushed the toilet, Freddy Krueger would stick his hand out and scratch their blood. Oh my God. They literally did not flush the toilet for like five years because of that. Oh my God. Yeah. I love scary. To this day, scary movies are my favorite movies. But my favorite kind of scary or horror movie is not the kind of like, oh, jumpy, scary. It's really the blood and gory type of movie.
Starting point is 01:27:00 Those are my favorite. Yeah. I mean, I can't control my reactions to stuff. Like, I don't, I'm not scared about something because I think it's real. And I think that Freddie Kruger is going to come through the screen and, like, kill me. I just like, I get scared naturally. from just the suspense of a situation and then something popping out.
Starting point is 01:27:19 Like I can't control it. It just happens. You know who's the biggest scary cat in the office is McKay? Every time I say hi to him, he goes, oh dear Lord. He's always like on edge. If you say hi to him,
Starting point is 01:27:35 you will scare him like nine times out of ten. The only game I got so scared that he couldn't play was amnesia during the water monster part because you're, yeah, you're in this area. where this monster is chasing you and you can't see them but you see him like stomping through the water and you can uh if you stand on top of the barrels or the the boxes that are in the water floating he doesn't he doesn't hurt you but like you're you're walking you just hear splash splash splash
Starting point is 01:28:02 slash behind you and you see like the water come up and you're like oh god it's going right for me that that freaked me out something is one again but i couldn't i couldn't finish i was like nope i'm good yike yeah super spooky super spooks When will we have Olivia on the podcast? When she's 13, because she cannot be on Discord, until she's 13, according to the Discord Terms of Service, rule number one in our Discord server. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:28:31 I would ban my daughter as she joined Discord. She's like secretly downloads it on like her phone or something. That was ordered her to the authorities. And her name will be not Ivan's daughter on Discord to make it super unobvious. right? Sam wants to know, what's your favorite all-time video game? I feel like this question gets asked every week.
Starting point is 01:28:55 Yep, quick answer. Natural selection. I have a go. Super Mario Brothers 3. Amanda, go. There's no, I don't have one. I don't have a favorite game. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:29:07 Wrong. Wrong answer. That's the real answer. That's the wrong real answer. I asked you yesterday and you said Fortnite. Got them. Oh, you're so. I'm full of it.
Starting point is 01:29:17 She said Apex Legends, platinum rank. No, thanks. I'm going to have to say, eh, nah, to both of them. Miet, yeah. All right. I think we're going to call up for questions here. Amanda has something to talk about, right? Yes, I do.
Starting point is 01:29:35 What are you talking about? We're going to be having a new segment on the podcast every single week. And it's going to be called Moms Community Roundup. I'm your mom now. Can we call it like mom yells at you? Listen up kids. Mom yells at you every week. And I will be screaming the community news into the microphone.
Starting point is 01:29:56 Nice. Do it. Mom's laundry list. But yeah. So this segment is going to be dedicated to the community, everything that we have going on, all our activities and news. So if you're not interested, I'm sorry, you can leave the call now. You can leave the server too.
Starting point is 01:30:11 You can leave the server too. But anyways, let's get started, shall we? So on March 1st, we concluded our latest giveaway for the H1 Mini PC. Not sure if you guys saw that, but $2,000 PC we gave away. I just want to say congratulations to Cameron M for winning. And if you can hear me, make sure to claim your prize or we're going to have to re-roll the winner. I'm not sure if he's reached out to us yet.
Starting point is 01:30:36 I emailed him last week and I told him to email me back to confirm his prize and he has not emailed me back. So if he doesn't, I'm just going to give him a couple more days. We're not to redraw the winner. Maybe I'll give, I'll email him again. Yo, are you there? F in the chat to Cameron. F in the chat for Cameron. Imagine winning a H1 PC worth $2,000 and you don't check your email.
Starting point is 01:31:00 Yeah, maybe someone listening to the podcast right now will win it instead if we have to re-roll. Who knows? Imagine. Imagine. I already know what's going to happen. We're going to re-roll and then like three months from now he's going to be like, hey, I never saw my email. Could I still get my PC?
Starting point is 01:31:16 It's happened before, actually. Too bad. Yeah, rip, check your emails. Why even sign up if you're not going to, like, check your stuff? All right. What does he got? So moving on. As most of you know, every month we challenge the community to submit their best
Starting point is 01:31:30 NCXE-themed artwork for a chance to win the design. Printed Unlimited Edition stickers that are then given away to the community. Last month, Annie, one of our champions, won and had the most popular design. So I just wanted to say, congratulations, Annie. And then that also brings me to an announcement. We have the next design contest going on right now, design contest number four. So as you guys might have seen, we've kicked off the design contest in the server, and it's the NTC Clubcast theme.
Starting point is 01:32:04 So be sure to check that out in the information channel and submit your best artwork for a chance to win. If you aren't working on any designs, just be sure to drop a purple heart on your favorite submission that's been in the channel so far. Next up, we have the March calendar. My favorite so far is Monies. Yeah, Monies is pretty cool. I like it a lot too. Yep.
Starting point is 01:32:28 Sorry. Continue, Mom. So next we have the March calendar, which was provided to us by System 32. Really amazing design of Pucci. And it's available as a wallpaper for your PC or phone. so definitely check that out. It's on Twitter.
Starting point is 01:32:46 We can post if someone in chat wants to post a link. System 32 does his own comics, actually. So if you guys wanted to check those out, definitely do that. And speaking of Wall... We'll have a brand new contest called Wallpaper of the Week, which you guys may have seen in past blog posts or in the announcements channel. But we're going to be giving away purple NZX T-shirts
Starting point is 01:33:08 every single week to one lucky person who submits the most popular design voted by the community. Yep. And even if you don't submit a wallpaper, just be sure to cast your vote. Use that, you know, purple heart on your favorite design. So someone out there can definitely win that shirt. And if you haven't already, please make sure to stop by the new topic of the month channel.
Starting point is 01:33:29 Right now, the current topic is photography. We've already seen some really great pictures being shared in there. So if you are interested in photography or if it's one of your hobbies, definitely following the rules, of course, post some pictures in there. And also let us know what topics you'd like to see moving forward. You can DM one of the mods or one of us admins with suggestions if you'd like. And as a reminder, we do have some contest scheduled changes. So this past Wednesday, we did not do setup of the week due to being remote and also because of the coronavirus.
Starting point is 01:34:02 Next week, setups will be back on Wednesday and accompanied by the blog post, which was originally on Mondays. And then wallpaper of the week will also be every Thursday instead of every Wednesday, which was the original announcement. Also, I just want to let you guys know that we do have a new blog series that's going to be called the Pucci Press, where every Friday, Pucci is going to bring you guys the latest community news and information located for you on the NZXT blog. It's going to be similar to this community roundup, but it's going to include additional information, extra links, and different things that we can't provide while being live on the podcast.
Starting point is 01:34:36 So definitely check that out. One should be going out today. And last but certainly, not least, I have one piece of advice for you guys, which I will be giving you every single week. It's mom's advice. And for this week, it's wash your hands. Wash your hands for as long as one chorus of Africa by Toto, because it's better than a birthday song. Can you sing one of those choruses? I cannot, but someone can share the song in chat right now. But that is my advice for the week, guys. Thank you very much. I'll only do it if you sing it. No. And I guess I'm not watching. By the way, the Weezer cover of that song's amazing.
Starting point is 01:35:21 It is actually. I've listened to it. It's super good. You can sing either one. But make sure to wash your hands, guys. Please. All right. And I think that wraps it up for this week.
Starting point is 01:35:31 Unless Simon has once say anything else, you have any other announcements? I think I meant it covered it all, actually. I just wanted to. say thank you to everyone that tuned in. Also, everyone who joined in for the giveaways. Thank you for participating. Thank you for all the people who joined once we tag everyone.
Starting point is 01:35:53 Hopefully you listen to the next episode, next Thursday. And I think, I don't know, I think it was a good idea to tag everyone so we can get more people listening. So maybe I'll have to tag them again. It's a brand new listeners. Tag us next time. Yikes. maybe we'll just have to do that every single time, you know. And with that, thank you to everyone who tuned in.
Starting point is 01:36:15 Remember to tune in next week at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, the official NXT Discord server and follow at NZXT and all relevant social media. And don't forget to listen to previous episodes on Apple, Apple Podcasts. I can't talk today. Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Spotify, and SoundCloud. Also, if you could, be so nice. Leave us a positive review. you if you like what you hear on your platform of choice.
Starting point is 01:36:39 And with that, thank you very much, guys. We will see you next time. Bye. Bye.
