Starting point is 00:00:38 Episode 50 of the N6C Clubcast, the official podcast of the NXC community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Center time of the official NZCdiscity Discord server and is available to stream wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts, such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SandCloud. So share with your friends and families so they can pretend they have someone to talk to in this lonely, lonely time. My name is Dennis and with me as always. It's actually just you. That's it.
Starting point is 00:01:04 What's up, guys? Episode 50. I haven't could have made it today. He's busy. and we couldn't get a guest security. So you know, welcome, welcome to episode 50. It's just me. That's all you get. So I'm really gonna be hanging out with you guys,
Starting point is 00:01:20 answering your questions, chilling with the community. You know, I just totally breathe into the mic there. Hold up. There we go. Yeah, so if you guys have any questions, go and throw them out. We just chilling today. We're hanging out. Totally, totally down for that. How do you guys like this track by the way? Isn't this sick? I found this like last minute.
Starting point is 00:01:38 some initial d stuff going on here uh uh uh huh beep beep beep beep um let's say let me move stuff around because it can't see nothing uh live podcasts are fun folks all right how i'm uh how are my r m i jee i'm good i'm chilling um i'm just hanging out you know where's song from it's a youtube dot com and he's googled it. I'm doing good. It's chilling, you know. In the office today on Thursdays.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I honestly, I think I'm going to keep coming in on Thursdays to do the podcast because it's much nicer having a mixer that I can use as opposed to using whatever roundabout junkie stuff we were using beforehand. Funny thing, I walk into the office and like almost all the cubicles or the desks are set up in like a in like a pod system. So that have these like these like plans. plastic sheets around everyone so like we don't like sneeze on each other and stuff. Not that I was sneezing on people to begin with, but like now if I wanted to sneeze somebody,
Starting point is 00:02:49 I can't do it, right? So I guess that's like a big, a big positive, right? Big, big, good job. Yeah, exactly. Bubbles. We're just just bubbling. But for those who are listening, not live, we do record this podcast live. So you're missing out on some one-on-one live interaction. It's pretty, pretty big deal, I would say. But I know it's Someone asked something about being a lockdown So California is under like a soft lockdown In the sense that like businesses are closed
Starting point is 00:03:19 Public spaces are closed But offices can often come and come out If you're like an essential worker For example like the builders You know they can't just take computer parts home And they build them and then come back They are in the office They're working shifts
Starting point is 00:03:31 And we have protection set up so that they're as safe as they possibly can be You know cleaning the office all the time It's actually pretty pretty cool what they've been doing to make sure everyone's safe, and we can still have a business
Starting point is 00:03:43 and sell people, computers, and just keep going. It's been great. Actually, all the remote workers, I think in the U.S. so far, got this really cool care package that had, like, it was great. It had like hand sanitizer
Starting point is 00:04:00 and it had snacks. And mine came with like a little hot chocolate packets or hot cocoa packets and a water bottle and toilet paper, actually. And it's like, hey, you know, like, we didn't forget about you guys. We know you're out there working at home and, you know, doing things to, you know, keep the company going. So here's some, here's some fun stuff. So it was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:04:22 It was a, it's really nice to kind of get that in the mail. But, yeah, but, you know, as long as like we stay safe, we're allowed to come to office, they just ask that we're just, you know, like smart about it and not like coming every single day, start touching all the stuff, right? What kind of snacks? I think I ate them all already. I got some red vines. which I'm a big fan of Twizzlers and Red Vines. I really have a problem either or. I'm not in the Red Vine and the Twizzler War here.
Starting point is 00:04:48 I'm neutral. I'm like Sweden on this one, right? I'll eat either one. I just put it in my mouth. I chew it and I swallow it pretty easy. And then we got the hot cocoa packets. I think it was one of the thing I forgot what it was, but I ate it already. So I was just like, like, oh, snacks.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I'll take those. That tastes like chemicals. I don't think the taste of chemicals. I think they're pretty good. I think pretty good. So it's funny, like I was, I was telling Ivan, I was like, hey, you know, since we don't really have like a like a guest lined up, like, why don't we just like answer questions that we ask each other, right? And I had this nice little list going of questions I'm going to ask Ivan. Things I've always wanted to like know.
Starting point is 00:05:29 And I think it did it on purpose, honestly. I think it's kind of like, things kind of ducked me. 50th podcast clip show. I would love to do a clip show. I do not want to edit that. thing though i will for sure head on the fiber and tell someone hey download 50 episodes of this clip all the good stuff and then you know do do whatever you got to do with it i'm putting all that effort into that heck no i try to avoid work as much as possible with a new discord update
Starting point is 00:05:57 i can't see gift file names anymore it's a bit dangerous oh yeah no discord discord discord has some pretty crazy stuff uh they're always changing things around you know it's never it's never something that's a you never know what you're going to get right it's like a box of chocolates um anyway yeah so hopefully you guys are doing all right chilling hanging out staying staying staying safe should you reapply for mod you do whatever you want money former poochies pick money former poochies pick lina is here somewhere i don't know she went i see luca she ain't here no more she went oh there she is there there we go Uh, dropping the title.
Starting point is 00:06:40 We dropping everything up in here. But you know, it's, it's been great. You know, the office is nice. You know, they're, they change quite a bit. There's like a big old rack of snacks now, like these giant shells with just like chuck a bunch of like chips and. Um, definitely not getting fatter coming back to the office. That's not a plan. I'm, I want to put into place.
Starting point is 00:07:00 I'm definitely, definitely being good with my snacking because I'm, I'm a big snacker. anyone who knows me can attest to how much I freaking snack. So we're trying to be careful here. Was it hard to give a job at NZXT? To be honest, for myself, it was not hard. In the sense that I applied, I got an interview. I knew that day I got the job. But as Evan has said in the past,
Starting point is 00:07:24 my position was like the hardest to fill. We had the most applicants from within and also outside the company. And I guess like, you know, once I met Poppy, you knew I was the one. Speaking of being the one, can we talk about what happened on Twitter last night slash afternoon, all the accounts getting hacked
Starting point is 00:07:45 and then posting Bitcoin stuff? That was a trip. What's my position? Social media specialist from the meme team. That was the hacked at Apple too. I know it's nuts. It's funny. I thought, so when we put out the tweet for the low frame rate, you know, like send us frame rates and then we'll send you like double frame rates back.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Like we couldn't tweet for a bit and reply. And I'm like, oh no, we got caught by a filter or something. Turns out that literally Twitter just shut down all of the verified accounts that ever existed. So for like a hot couple of hours of like greatness, there was no verified accounts being able to tweet. It was pretty funny to watch. The hashtags are great.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I love you heard it was partially an inside job. I mean, to be honest, from what I was told and from what I was. I read and I don't read a whole lot is a they didn't hack Twitter they hacked a two-factor authentication system which then allowed them to get in right or something like that but yeah no it was it was crazy like I like is this like the biggest hack in history I don't know right like I know that Sony got hacked and that's pretty big and like I know like Nintendo's told said they got hacked you know like in the past like a few months ago something like that but yeah it's definitely the weirdest hack I've ever seen uh at least in regards like social media you know
Starting point is 00:09:03 it's like i'm not going to send conier west a thousand dollars so you can send me two thousand back on bitcoin that makes zero sense right when they just give me the two thousand dollars to start seems like pretty pretty not smart idea but you know like it is what it is uh yeah i mean so so like for a bit i didn't really have a job because i couldn't really access twitter i mean you know we got instagram and we got facebook and stuff but twitter is king you know Twitter's where all the crazy stuff happens. It was really, it was really impressive to be honest to kind of see all that stuff happened.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Like I never thought that would be a thing that I could, I would ever see just every verified account in the world just like getting locked down because Twitter like broke stuff. And there are people saying that like unverified Twitter was like the best time, best timeline. It was pretty funny. There were some really, really good memes coming out of the unverified Twitter people. And honestly, like some of the best tweet. come from where come from unverified accounts right like like them wrong you know like Wendy's has really good social but like it doesn't beat some random dude sitting and like you know in like his
Starting point is 00:10:11 boxers that like two in the afternoon just thinking of something funny he throws it out and all of a sudden blows up right some good stuff yeah it was it was uh it was funny too because like we we tweeted a we tweeted a joke about that like minutes before all them got shut down I'm like, oh man, I'm so glad we got this tweet out. And there are some people who still kind of fell for it. Like, don't send them any frame rates. They're going to hack your account. And I'm like, think about what you're saying for a second.
Starting point is 00:10:44 We're not asking for money. We're asking for frames. Obviously, a joke. But, I mean, if you know anything about the internet and know anything about social media, there are a lot of people who will never be in on the joke because they're always taking it way too seriously. It was a good amount of people. And then there were people who played into the joke. right like you got act don't do it don't do it guys i only got like one frame right back or something
Starting point is 00:11:04 some some great like that it's pretty hilarious so yeah that was a that was a definite an event and that's something that just to give away a couple like my my own personal secret sauces here right since this is the the denny meme team cast uh things like this don't happen very often uh this like big events that like literally everyone is talking about and you got to capitalize on in the sense of like, you know, you either say something or you don't or whatever, right? I think the last time saying like this happened where like I kind of tweeted without really thinking too hard about it
Starting point is 00:11:36 was during the the Fortnite blackout where like Fortnite was just not not working for like 24 hours. And I was watching live. I literally was like not not. I don't like Minecraft. I don't like Fortnite. I don't play Fortnite, right? Try to get into a couple times.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Set a bad game because it's not for me, right? And I was like cleaning my room or something. And I happened, you know, I was like, you know, I'm going to throw on a stream. Let me put on like courage, right? Or Dr. Lupo or Tim, you know, let's put one of these guys on. You know, we sponsored them and I like their content and they're cool deeds. So threw them on and then, you know, they're doing this event. I'm like, yeah, you know, cool, foreign has events all the time.
Starting point is 00:12:14 And then the game dies and I'm like, oh, like this is a tweet. Should put this out. And I even was available. I'm like, Poppy, Poppy, popy, wake up, wake up. I don't know what you're doing, but something happened on the internet. Everyone's talking about it. about it and say nothing like i did it do it out there and and ended up pretty well it hurts to listen to listen to fortnight being said so many times but so on fortnight fortnight's great fortnight's a good
Starting point is 00:12:38 game it's fortnight's one of the biggest games out there fortnight has definitely changed the game i mean fortnight has continued to innovate and bring out consistent content i i think fortnight does a really good job which is a fortnighting fortnight it's good stuff like i think that i mean if we want to talk about the impact of fortnight on the video game industry it's been insane right like Like it's super huge. Fortnite has done things like live events, right? Like Destiny started doing live events now, hilariously enough. It wasn't the best live event ever, but they did one, right?
Starting point is 00:13:07 Just having consistent updates with their games, right? And like there's always something new coming out. It's like, you know, like a good example is how Apex Legends has changed since like when it first came out to where it is now, where they're kind of changing the map and reiterating stuff like that. And look at PubG, they really haven't done that, right? They've kind of been more, really, has been pushing mobile. No popular game is bad, just the fans are bad.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I mean, you know, I don't know. I can't really debate you on that. I'm a little low, low IQ today to be talking about that. HyperScape, get more players. HyperScape is cool. HyperScape is a very cool game. It reminds me a lot of quake. Super, super fast.
Starting point is 00:13:54 People take forever to die in that. game though so i feel like i might really have a much of impact on something no camping you can definitely cap on hyperscape i've seen people at camp with sniper rifles stuff like that yeah uh episode 50 guys whoo i can't believe we made it to 50 episodes um i mean i haven't like we talk about this all the time and most podcasts they die within the first like six episodes they just don't they don't keep going right Like, are they like a content and people can, can keep up with it or, or things like that. So I'm actually really surprised that we've made it to 50 episodes.
Starting point is 00:14:37 It's also like one of the first big projects that I worked on when I first started here was like, let's get a podcast going. Let's get like some content going. Right. Because people like, you know, they're like hearing from, you know, people like me and Ivan or, you know, anyone else in the company. Especially when there really isn't an outlet to like speak to people within an organization like this, right? Boomer Chat when I saw someone is I saw some I saw that someone is coming out with a wishbone movie Oh bro. I would love a boomer chat I told B this multiple times that I want to they want to boomer chat Honestly I think I just do it just throw it in there if I could delete one channel for
Starting point is 00:15:16 For boomer chat which it be she's in the call I know she's in the call uh she's listening she's She's our biggest fan actually no she's not she left She took up. It's like, I won't listen to Den talk for like an hour. Forget this. There we go. Agreed. Let's remove champions.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Then let's make the boomer chat. And we can talk about Nintendo 64. I am 100% down for that. No, no cap. No cap at all. Let's see what else we got here? Any other questions you guys have been asking me? NTC is a good Twitter.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Thanks. It's only good because of you. Debate what games, debate on the N64 Mini. Okay, okay. If we're talking about N64 Mini, the games you need to have, uncensored,
Starting point is 00:16:10 conquers a bad for a day. That game is actually really, really good. And I feel like that game did a lot in the industry to kind of change the tone that games could take, right? Because I don't remember there were a whole lot of games,
Starting point is 00:16:23 at least back in the 90s, they were like as crass as conquers about a fur day, right? Perfect Dark over Golden Eye. I know Golden Eye is like the rose tinted glasses, but Perfect Dark is the better game. Perfect Dark is literally 007, right, GoldenEye, but they added a bunch of stuff to it, and the bots are really cool.
Starting point is 00:16:44 A game has content up the butt. Plus, you needed the expansion pack to play it properly, right? You couldn't even play Perfect Dark without having that dumb extra, RAM, which is what it was. That's what the N64 expansion pack was. It was literally just extra RAM so that you can load and data to the game. I think it came with certain games. I think it came with I came with Purple Dark and I believe the expansion pack for the N64 also came with Donkey Kong Country 64, Donkey Kong 64, whatever the name of the game was. Some like that. Yeah. I see money,
Starting point is 00:17:19 if you were listening to the podcast not live, then you could pause it and then not miss anything I'm saying so the double-edged sword listening live right just turn your speakers all the way up tell your mom and dad hey listen i'm listening to the nzxd clubcast the official podcast of the nz60 community is recorded live every thursday at 10 a pincinct satan on time on the official nzc discord server and it's available to stream wherever it's in my favorite podcast but i'll listen to it live right now so i need you guys to be quiet for a minute while i go grab a snack and then and then they'll know you know They got to keep it down for a hot minute. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Okay, N-S64 Minutes. Get back on this. Jeff Force Gemini is lit. I like Jeff Force Gemini. It's a very fun game. Very, very underrated for sure. Snowboard kids, to me, was sick because it was like Diddy Kong racing or like Donkey Kong Racing, whatever we would call it.
Starting point is 00:18:17 And then it sounds like Mario Kart, but you're on snowboards. And it's like, you got like, you got like, a fat kid on the snowboard and then you got like the cool techie kid you like all these cool kids they're on snowboard hence the name snowboard kids right and it was a fun game to play i really enjoyed it i don't know how many how many other people actually play that game but i remember back in the day you would go to like a video store is what they called it right returning in the boomer cast real quick right what to a video store and you could rent a game for like five bucks a night or something like that, right? So I would continually keep renting the same game so I could finish it.
Starting point is 00:18:56 What is the podcast about? The podcast is about whatever you want it to be. Normally we would have me and Ivan and then a guest on the podcast, right? And then we would ask the person who is working at it, NZXT, right, whoever it would be questions like, what is your position of NZXT? I am a social media specialist. What does your daily work routine look like? I get up and I check Twitter. First thing I do, then I check the Discord server because I'm also part of the way we treat social media at NXT is also very community focused, which is why we have a lot of fun with it, and we showcase a lot of our community members. So I checked the Discord, right? I checked our Twitter. I ignore Facebook DMs.
Starting point is 00:19:36 I look at the post on Facebook the night before and see what we did. And then I go through Instagram a little bit, and then I wake up, start planning my day for whatever posts or posting that day. and then just keep an eye on social and then work on stuff in the background. There's a lot that goes into working social media. When will Ken be on the podcast? Hopefully soon. We have to schedule that stuff out.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Customer service right now is really busy. Because of the pandemic, we're selling a lot of computers, a lot of product. So when you sell more things, you tend to get more requests for support. Even if it's just like asking a question like, can I add extra RAM to my BLD computer
Starting point is 00:20:16 and we'll tell them, yeah, you can. But that's like, you know, a customer service request, right? It's just like stuff like that. So, you know, you sell a lot more things. You have a lot more people who buy your products who are not experiencing them. We have questions. Why are PC is selling fast recently? PCs are selling fast for a lot of reasons.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Number one is, yeah, everyone's homesitting something to play on, right? Video gaming has gone up, like usage has gone up exponentially since the pandemic started, right? It's, you know, you want entertainment, right? That's also why streaming has gone up. so my Netflix usage has gone up, so my internet usage has gone up, because people can't go out and, like, experience stuff, right? And then, you know, there might be some people who are like,
Starting point is 00:20:53 well, you know, I'm used to having a very active lifestyle, right? And I would go out with friends and grab coffee and grab dinner. I can't do that right now, right? So now, you know, so now I have to, you know, stay at home. Might as well get back into video games. Let me just buy a computer because I don't want to build it myself. Yeah. I'm not going to give you Nitro.
Starting point is 00:21:13 It's not how it works. He listened to the whole podcast, buddy, if you want that nitro. I said, we keep you here. It's a trap. You fell into it. Yeah, so there's that. And then also because of the pandemic. So that's number one, right?
Starting point is 00:21:29 The number two is in November, December, when the pandemic started hitting China in the very beginning of the pandemic, right, or of the COVID stuff, one of the cities that was hit hard the most was a hub for production for a lot of stuff, right? And particularly computer parts, power supplies, motherboards, whatever, right? So that shut down. And then once they, you know, started clearing out and they did all their stuff, they started ramping back up. And then a pandemic hit again. And now it's starting to hit globally. So now everything is getting slowed down, right? there's actually a really good video I think I mentioned this last episode
Starting point is 00:22:13 that Gamers Nexus did where they kind of looked out why the supply chain has been disrupted. What that basically means is like people who produce a product, shipped a product, delivered a product to the like warehouse or stores or wherever it has to go
Starting point is 00:22:31 and then people who sell the product, people will buy the product there's a lot of things that go in the place. So if one thing in that supply chain is disrupted. It slows everything down. And it takes time to ramp everything back up, right? Not just that, but also, you know, like there was a huge demand for things that were computer parts right in the early days of the pandemic, right? It was, it was all about, you know, like personal protection stuff, you know, like masks were hard to get, hand sanitizer was hard to get, toilet paper was hard to get, right? So they had to start ramping up for those kind of things.
Starting point is 00:22:59 So just that, it's like a, it's like a dominant effect of everything being affected, which affects literally everything. Would you want to go toward the many, factory facility for social media features outside of pandemic travel issues uh for social media features wait a minute i think i think we'll confuse what you're asking me there like go to like walkthroughs uh oh gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha okay so you were saying i would love to do more traveling for for work it'd be great um i mean we don't have like a dedicated video crew or something so that'd be something we had to figure out but i think it'd be cool you know if we go and visit, you know, NZXT's manufacturing factory or whatever, you know, like,
Starting point is 00:23:45 this is how an H510 gets made, right? This is where they extract the airflow and keep it forever so you can't have any, right? It may be pretty cool. It's going to see that. This is where all the RGB is made. It's like a unicorn just like barfing out and they, like, put it in a bucket or something. Watching Hamilton got me listening to clipping. Dude, Hamilton was dope.
Starting point is 00:24:04 I would okay so it wasn't just me who watched who watched Hamilton during during the 4th of July stuff right what's everyone's favorite Hamilton song I watched it for the first time I I did not want to um what's going on here I uh the heck I did not want to uh what do you call it uh listen to it before I watched it because I feel like if you're watching a Broadway musical right you want to experience it all of it right you want to watch you want to watch you it you want to hear it you want to see the actors on stage to me it's it's really important right um going a quick second guys we get to handle some stuff here uh i don't know what the heck this guy's doing right now imagine uh b's got it what a g um was gonna say yeah hamilton's dope
Starting point is 00:25:05 favorite hamilton song let's talk about hamilton it was cool i've heard i've actually looked at some critiques on it and i think people just are just trying too hard to find something till I complain about. All the king songs, the king songs are dope. Honestly, I think, what's that song,
Starting point is 00:25:22 the, the Skyler sisters? That song's lit. Those ladies can sing, 100%. They, they, so good.
Starting point is 00:25:34 I don't miss my shot. I wasn't a big fan of, I don't want to miss my shot. It was just like, don't want to miss my shot. I'm not throwing away my shot. I'm like, okay, dude, cool.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Like, next, next, next song. Jefferson. Jefferson was lit. Jefferson, in my opinion, stole the show. Not about you guys. They're wrong. The ladies are dope.
Starting point is 00:25:52 The ladies in that musical are just so powerful and so strong and just go through so much, right? And like, definitely back in the day, right? It was really, really hard to be a woman, right? We talk about the founding fathers, that about the founding, you know, mothers. Like, you know, like, what did the ladies do, and stuff? We won't talk about that stuff, right? So it was all about what the dudes did, right? And they're just yelling at each other and writing letters and stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Can you imagine? So Hamilton is basically, Hamilton in today's day would be like a fire tweet poster, right? This dude would be like throwing out these dope tweets. He's getting like 500,000 likes and retweets per tweet. He'd be like, yo, dang, he just called out, you know, the new president with the Twitter. And like now he's in like this big old scandal. That's what Hamilton is. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Hamilton's like this like amazing writer. And whatever he put to paper, people like, oh, snap, this guy's speaking some real truth. He's dropping some bombs. That's what Hamilton would be. Hamilton is like Zach Fox or something. Is that his name, Zach Fox? That's like one of my favorite tour accounts. And before we get a copyright stricken.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah. Striking? Hyper right, strick it. Struckish. Yeah, no. Hamilton's fire. Hamilton's really, really good. Work, work.
Starting point is 00:27:13 And Peggy. Yeah, I haven't seen too many musicals to be honest. I wish I would, I could go watch more. I think it's a really interesting like medium. I originally recently rewatched the, was it like the 2014, 2015, whatever it is, 2013 film of Le Miz with Hugh Jackman in them, right? Le Mies Rhebler, Harry Lainz. It's so bad. Laymiz is dope. I forgot how good La Miz was. I was like yeah, you know man man
Starting point is 00:27:51 I even see that yeah no for sure I want to see that one live I saw Beauty and the Beast live It wasn't the original cast but saw Beauty and the Beast live a while back and then I saw a like a community-ish production of Legally Blonde I believe is what it was which is really really good. That was a really really good musical really funny too Do you see the Disney remake? I have not seen any of the remakes. I want to you haven't had a chance to you I grew up watching the original Disney movies, you know, like Beating the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, all those stuff. I don't know about the remakes. I want to check them out. I like what's the actress and Bity of the Beast?
Starting point is 00:28:33 Hermione. Evergo, her name is. So it's the E, right? Elizabeth. Emma Watson, thank you. There we go. Will Smith is Gina Anna, dude. Rip Will Smith.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I don't want to talk about Will Smith, but, man, my heart goes out to that guy. Oh, poor dude. I would never agree to having my dirty laundry aired out on social media. But then again, you know, I'm also not Will Smith. Yeah, Hamilton's sick. I can't think of any other musicals that would like to watch. I don't know what musicals are out there. I think I might have seen like Fiddler and the Roofer or something like that,
Starting point is 00:29:08 but it was like a school, a school production. Like when I was in a, I think it took a drama class or something. So I could be a, you know, more outgoing and speaky, whatever. Stevie Universe, the movie is a good musical. I watch Rent a few more times. I feel like Rent's too old for me now, no? Like, isn't Rent very much like a product of its time? Maybe you need to just watch it.
Starting point is 00:29:36 I haven't had a chance of cats. Get that got out of here. Rent. Rent is a movie. It's a musical about rent. People talking about how expensive rent is, right? It's like, yo, can't pay my rent. This is too expensive. Trying to pay these bills.
Starting point is 00:29:53 This rent is too damn high. Rent is about the early HV crisis. Yeah, no, I mean, I know I know that's what it's about, but I actually haven't seen it. People can't pay rent now anyways. Yeah, I know, right? There's like a lot of moratorium stuff with that on rent. Welcome to the NSICC Clubcast, episode 50, where we talk about rent and Lamez and Hamilton. This conversation would definitely not happen if I was here.
Starting point is 00:30:15 He'd be like, I don't think. I think I've ever seen a single musical and I don't really care to. I don't like people singing. Let's listen to more fat boys. It's just be the same song over and over. Cats the musical. Yeah, I heard the movie is really bad. Dan, I'm going to start streaming and I added you to my auto hostess.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Oh, thanks. Thanks, money. I haven't streamed in a little bit. I've been super busy. It's also done to Dan on the podcast for his, last day at the job right so making fun of iven is like heard you talk and smack about me on episode 50 of the n60 club cast the official podcast of the nz 60 community that podcast by the way in the case you don't know is recorded live every thursday at 10 a pfacidstance of time the official nzicc
Starting point is 00:31:07 discord server is available on apple podcast google podcast Spotify and soundclad so don't be talking smack on the podcast my friend that's what i haven't tell me when he when he comes back in he's going to talk to me like that I'm kind of worried to be honest what do you think of the new lying king movie I haven't seen any of the remakes man I haven't really just wants to be educated on what the nzc club cast is he does okay so yeah let's go down and go down this like basic question list I've never had a podcast for myself or like I just talk about myself so let's do some of that for a bit yeah so like we said what is my position social media specialist daily work routine. We talked about that. I mean while they keep an eye on social media. I am the voice
Starting point is 00:31:51 of the company on social media and I am also the voice for the community back on social. So I tell the people, right, what everyone, you know, PR and marketing and creative wants to say, right, announcing products, memes, you know, helping customers out on social. And then also whatever like you know issues I see complaints stuff like that suggestions I shoot that back to the team so example when someone says hey I want cam to have a black and white mode or something I would push that feedback back to the cam team like hey by the way guys this is what some people are saying what do you think about it and then they discuss internally right I also have a bit of a voice on like the marketing side so for example you know we get the look at product and then to help
Starting point is 00:32:44 work on the marketing campaign for that and what that looks like. You know, so there's a lot of things that we talk about. What did I do before? I worked at NZXT. I worked at Kakao Games for Black Desert Online as a community manager. I was there for about a year. And then before that, I worked in e-sports production freelance. So I would literally get contracted to work, e-sports events, camera work, player liaison, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I know I've talked about this like here and there but not officially on the podcast. How did you get hired at NZXT, Dennis? Well, Dennis, I got hired at NZXT by applying and then I just had an interview with Ivan and I got in that week. Pretty much. Favorite thing about social media department or community department? Well, the thing I like about social media and community is that I'm allowed to be very creative, but it's also very creatively draining because I have to think about funny things all day. if I was like X company or Y company whose tweets are all the same,
Starting point is 00:33:46 then my job would be a lot easier, never have time to do a lot more things. But because we actually have to think of something that's interesting and fun, it takes a lot of time. Oh, you're funny. Tell me a joke is the word. Oh, you're funny, tell me a joke. Oh, you do funny tweets?
Starting point is 00:34:00 Give me a funny tweet right now. Like, no. Least favorite thing about social media is I have no life. Pretty much. I just, I literally am always keeping an eye and watching stuff and replying to people and trying to think of the next best thing. What to do with do with Cal Games? I was a community manager. So what I would do is I would like record feedback from the community.
Starting point is 00:34:23 I would speak to the community all on behalf of the company, basically kind of like what I'm doing now. I would try my very best to mitigate dumb things the developers would try to add into the game, right? based on, you know, community feedback. So, like, for example, what did I leave? I wasn't happy there, and I wanted a job where I could have more autonomy and make my own choices. So, like, for example, let's say we added in like a mechanic that was maybe pay to win, but people didn't complain about it. Then I'd be, okay, great, right. Or, you know, they wanted to add a feature and think, hey, you know what?
Starting point is 00:35:02 I've heard people talk about a feature like this about other games and we might not want to put it into our games. and then they'd be like, sure, that's, you know, thanks for the feedback. You know, we'll look into this. Or they'd be like, no, we don't care. We're going to do it anyway. Or they'd be like, you're right. Let's not do this, right? So it just depends on the feature and depends on, you know, like what their plans are for company.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So for example, right, if we, you know, announce the air headset and then people are like, I don't like the way it looks. And like, a lot of people are saying, I don't like the way it looks. Then we would definitely send that feedback back and be like, hey, people don't like the way this thing looks. And then we'd be like, oh, shoot, people don't like how this looks. And then maybe they fix it. Most of the jobs I worked at have been pretty boring would be nice to work at a company I actually care about. It definitely helps a lot. So you run the NC social media accounts or does someone else do that?
Starting point is 00:35:47 I am social media specialist, so yes, pretty much. It's basically me. Ivan oversees me. I came in to do what Ivan. Sorry. Ivan hired me to do what his old job was, which is basically what I'm doing now, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Reddit and you know taking care of the server so that he can work on bigger and better things like improving community experience and you know it's big high level big big big brain
Starting point is 00:36:16 thinky stuff that I don't have to deal with um like I don't ship rewards I even handles that stuff but do everything else right um yeah big brain thinking stuff I don't have a lot of brains um oh I don't know never asked me this question think favorite and least favorite NCC My favorite product is the H440 because it was the first N60 case that they bought and because I was when I first saw the case I'm like they don't have a they don't have a a disk drive. That's smart. Why would I want to use that and then I bought the case and I loved it and I kept it for a long time. I kept the H440 so I bought it like an original release.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I picked up H440. I dumped it after the 510 dropped as Johnny is Johnny, as Johnny Co. a good guy. Johnny's a really good dude. Johnny is a is a is a really I would say is a very I was going to say competent but it sounds like this is like not the right word but Johnny's a good leader. I'll say that he's a good leader and he definitely has like big plans for the company and big plans for what we want to do going forward and what we want to look like going forward right. Ivan is my boss yes. Well it's funny because he would always tell me I don't want you to think me like a boss and I'm like you're
Starting point is 00:37:38 my boss. Boogie, wogie, right? He's living on my boss. I mean, he tells me what to do what not to do.
Starting point is 00:37:47 But I would say, he's like, I've been for sure is, is in my opinion also a lot of like a mentor to me, right? He like looks out for me
Starting point is 00:37:55 and like, wants him to do better, wants me to learn. What are the benefits of my switching from console to PC? A lot, dude. Uh,
Starting point is 00:38:03 who, okay, so number one, right? It can't get Discord next box. You can't listen to the N60 Clubcast, the official podcast of the N60 community that is recorded live every
Starting point is 00:38:14 Thursday at 10 a 10m Pacific Standard Time of the official NXC Discord server and is available to Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud on your Xbox. You can only do it on Discord or the pre-mentioned platforms. But to be honest, like, I would say a PC is better and pretty much every way than a console because you have the ability to do whatever you want with it right so you can plug in a piece for controller or an xbox controller or a switch controller or a steam controller or a fight stick or an attack three from logitech into that guy and play whatever games you want on it right um you can expand the computer right to fit your needs you know if you want to have super crazy ridiculous graphics you buy a new video card and maybe some more ram or something and you're good to go right um yeah you know it's this is like how troggely snuffly said right you know you You can do VR and stuff with that on it. You could, you know, install mods for your games. Like, Minecraft.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Minecraft is huge on PC because you can mod it and do whatever you want with it, right? Essentially, you know, you could upgrade your parts. You don't have to replace the whole thing every couple of years. You don't have to pay for online service to play your online games. You just pay for your internet, which you would be paying for anyway, right? It's not just also for video games. You use it to do your homework. You can use it to work.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Like when I'm working for home, the same computer I game and I, stream on is the same computer than I'm working from right um you could do a lot with a lot more than with a computer than you can with a with a console right and then you can also like you know like you can spend as much as you want on it like you can build a budget build that's like for three hundred dollars and still get a really good computer right if you shop around well enough and you don't worry about having like a good case and stuff like that right and you get like a dicky power supply there's a lot you can do with the computer um you know games are on sale all the time.
Starting point is 00:40:10 There's multiple storefronts. You don't have to just buy from like the Xbox marketplace or the PlayStation Network store, the PlayStation store you can buy from Steam or GOG or Origin or, you know, Epic Games. It's like this fight right now to kind of take your money by all these game publishers and like digital games providers that honestly on the consumer side, we're winning on that, right? Because we get games for cheap and we get games, you know, with all kinds of cool exclusives. Yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 00:40:38 just like Halina said is a G-O-G is a Gog or G-O-G G-G. Yeah, and also just like how Halina said, lots of indie games. I want to get into PC gaming, but I don't have a lot of money to get into it. All I'm shown is is overpriced builds. So overpriced is a subjective term, right? Overprice implies that you're paying more than the worth of the parts, right? So for example, if you buy a computer from NXT build, right? We price all over computers at MSRP, meaning that you're paying for all the parts,
Starting point is 00:41:17 but you would pay for them when they were sale price, right? And that's all it is. It's just, right? And then we only tack on a $99 build fee and then the shipping. You don't pay extra for it. We don't mark stuff up, right? You're not going to get like, you know, for example, let's say I bought my one terabyte Western Digital blue SSZ.
Starting point is 00:41:36 M.2 SSD for $119 on sale, right? Maybe normal price is 150, right? So we would charge you the MSRP, which is the manufacturer-suggested retail price, which is the full price, no sale, not a wholesale price, just the price that you would buy if you bought it off the shelf with no sale, right? So, yeah, sometimes you like you buy a computer from NZXT, you might be paying a little bit more. Sometimes you're going to pay a little bit less. So, for example, right now, power supplies are really hard to get, right?
Starting point is 00:42:05 motherboards certain motherboards are hard to get so you're definitely going to be paying a huge markup from third-party sellers for some of these parts we wouldn't do that we'll just give you the same price we would have from day one or day whatever you know crazy things are happening in the market one of the things that made me want to start working for n xd was when we first started blde or build right i still call blde uh that we we started the service we started that part of the company right before the crypto mining craze started. And what happened with the crypto mining craze is that the crypto Bitcoin miners found out that if you use a GPU to do all these calculations, then you get much better returns
Starting point is 00:42:51 than you would do it with your CPU. So because of that, the prices of the GPUs went up exponentially. I'm talking like, let's say I bought like a GTX 970 for like $300, right? And then the month after that, now it's $800, right? because they're hard to get and everyone's jacking up the prices. We didn't do that. We sold it at the price you would have paid for it if you were to just buy it off the shelf,
Starting point is 00:43:15 which is really cool and insane that we would do that, right? And a lot of the companies, to be honest, probably wouldn't do that, right? They'd be like, well, this is expensive for us, so it's not expensive for you. We're going to pass the cost onto the customer. We didn't do that. Like, I've heard stories of people literally buying computers from us just to take out the,
Starting point is 00:43:35 GPU because it was cheaper to buy a whole computer for the graphics card than just to buy the graphics card by itself. That's insane. So when you say overpriced, that doesn't really mean anything. Overpriced is a subjective term depending on what you're paying for, right? So if you want to build a budget build, honestly the best source, PCpartpicker.com, dude, go to PC park picker and just type in a budget and then you'll see builds that it had been built with that budget and then in the comments people will say what they're you know what they're like their like normal performances uh will there be nxcd laptops in the future there can be anything in the future our plan is take over the world so who knows maybe you will maybe you won't
Starting point is 00:44:20 boogie wuggy what would i like to see nxxx t make i would like to see nzxx t make honestly a mouse because i'm left to see nxxxie make i'm left to I use my mouse left-handed and there is no real good options for a lefty-only mouse. I want a lefty-only mouse. Give me that. No ambidextrous. No right-hand design. We left-hand club up in this house.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Give me a good left-handed mouse. Denny 2020. Any more questions. I want to reply for Ma, but I've already replied one so I don't want to clutter the applications. Do it anyway. Do it anyway. That's what they're there for. Avatar S wasn't lefty only.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Neither was the Razor Death Adder. Let's end in addition. That one was really good. I loved my death adder, and then they stopped selling them on Amazon and getting by them direct from Razor, and they didn't want it anymore. So I didn't do it. Let's see what else here. Special shoutout.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Special shout out to the company. I want to give a special shout out to the customer service team, the entire customer service team, because without them, my job would be a lot harder. I bug them all the time, but for about customer service stuff and tickets that people come in and complaints. And they help me out a lot. So I have nothing but love for the customer service team. They're definitely working super, super hard. If you ever see any of them in the chat, tell them thank you for all your hard work because it's definitely not easy.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Our CS team isn't huge, right? The biggest team, honestly, in the company now is like the build team. I think half the company is all builders and like QC and. R&B and stuff like that. Well, NZC get more merch. I would love some more merch for NXT. Cost is an issue, though, obviously shipping is an issue. Sourcing materials is an issue, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:46:14 But I'd like to see that. Let's see, where else you got here? Can someone with no experience apply for a mod? I mean, you can, you know? I mean, you can't if you want. I can't tell you if it'll be successful enough, but that's up to you, you know? Just answer the questions as well as you can.
Starting point is 00:46:31 and you know if you have a good mind for it you know some people some people are thrust into greatness right some people take it sometimes you use need that push to prove how good you are uh is a hoodie actually like that the hoodie is not like that keoh's son uh ego is meeman on you yeah yeah exactly sometimes you just need to be a fortnight pro and change the game forever the sports shirt we don't don't do those anymore uh maybe we'll bring it back one day who knows I know um definitely planning becoming a vtuber do it I know that the jerseys are given to the employees during town halls stuff like that yeah there's go there's a picture the actual hoodie thank you paint for for posting that
Starting point is 00:47:21 picture appreciate it yeah I'm not wearing any I'm wearing an NXT hat right now I'm wearing my my cool hat let me go ahead and show it's a little flat though it's a design by human's hat i got it in the pop-up last year so this hat definitely lasts me a year um and uh i want a new one things about time to get a new hat to be honest i'm going to bug johnny for a new hat now he better he better deliver or nothing's going to happen because i can't really make john do anything he's the boss um yeah uh any other questions you guys got uh is that the one that gets mailed out the shirt no It's a purple shirt.
Starting point is 00:48:02 No, sorry, it's a black shirt with white text on it is the shirt that we head out. Have ever been the Walmart? I had been the Walmart. Is N60 planning on making new rewards, water bottle, etc? We're working on everything. Have the charity shirts shipped? Yes, the charity shirts have started appearing. Some of the people in the office are already wearing them.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I know some of our mods have gotten theirs as well. Let me know what you think. Once you get them in, let me know what you think of the shirts. Please and thank you. It's important that we know that you like them or you don't like them or whatever. Because if we want to do this in the future, we want to be able to tell people, hey, people like this or they didn't like it. So we can make an informed decision for next time. A formed decision for next time, I'm like, I'm just learning my speech and provide a better experience.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Right. That's kind of the plan for everybody. buddy it's barely temporary man this podcast is lasting way time is going by slow uh did you guys make a rainbow six pc uh we didn't make a pc we're giving away a rainbow six build to so like you know to promote the whole thing so yeah that's probably the last rainbow six case we got in the world i think we're sold out in the u.s we we sold out of the rainbow six craft case like two days. Yes, the giveaway is international.
Starting point is 00:49:34 The Rainbow Six build giveaway is a global giveaway. So anybody could win it. Would then become a pet father soon. I want a pet dude. I really, I want a dog or maybe a cat. I kind of want a cat now because I was in a meeting yesterday
Starting point is 00:49:49 with our marketing director, Josh, and like a bunch of other people. And his cat would not leave him alone. Like literally he was, he was talking and his camera was shaking because his cat was walking up and down his desk. And then he's like, you see his tail kind of like jaw style. You know, there's like a shark fin go by the top of like the, the bottom of his screen.
Starting point is 00:50:09 It was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Did it say anything about my question? I had to go. I don't remember what your question was. No one's pending right now. So I'm just answering us as we go. So let me set this up here real quick.
Starting point is 00:50:24 You guys want to give away for Nitro? He guys down. we'll give two away we'll do one right now there we go I think it broke oh maybe the bot's dead uh oh spaghettios yeah what the heck happened to the bot oh there it is
Starting point is 00:50:46 just to have access to this channel some reason that's really weird um there we go is that it there we go podcast hope you all ready for this uh minutes there we go and then one
Starting point is 00:51:04 bam there we go make sure react to the bot for the nitro um see what the questions when will PC2 come out so little did you know PC2 is coming out very very soon nzxte will be the first out the gate with PC part two
Starting point is 00:51:22 get ready for it let's look at the PC oh my god didn't realize that breaching charge in the case is a headset holder yeah so so the the breaching charge is a is a puck um uh is a is like a special edition puck we made a special edition puck for the
Starting point is 00:51:40 file out case um we didn't make one for the wow case actually did we i don't remember did we make one for the full of wow case we don't do it for everyone uh nzxt.com slash is this is craft does that work it does not work it has not a working URL um yeah the pubg had the pan puck but we do sell the pan puck separately um but i think because that was the first one right so the the craft the player known's case was the first one that was actually a charity one so if if you still have those in stock i think we might actually maybe not um we actually created that case for gamers outreach and 10% of each sale went to gamers outreach because the cases like these these limited run cases are not are not cheap to make right because you know um if you know anything about production the more something you produce the lower
Starting point is 00:52:34 the cheaper it is to make one of them that makes sense right so if I go to a factory and say hey I want you to stop all production to make one of this thing is going to be expensive but you say I want a thousand of them right then it's a little bit cheaper per unit to make that item right it's kind of like to forget
Starting point is 00:52:51 what's called some economic term for it right so that was the first and that one came to the Panpuck the Nucca Cola case came with a bobblehead which is actually pretty cool I believe I think, right?
Starting point is 00:53:05 Or maybe I'm wrong on that one. I don't see it. I just, I'm just looking at the picture. Yeah, then you get the Panpuck. Then the vault boy case that came with a puck that looked like a vault. You know, like the little vault 76 thingy. The wild cases did not, which I'm actually kind of interested in what a wow puck would look like. Other than the siege case came with the breaching charge.
Starting point is 00:53:29 And also a charm, too. It came with a charm as well. So that's pretty cool. I think that to honest I think the Rainbow 6 one is my favorite one that one's really
Starting point is 00:53:38 really cool class symbols class symbols would be kind of cool right maybe like class symbol magnets right that'd be kind of neat that'd be
Starting point is 00:53:45 that'd be super cool you kind of stick them all over the case I mean the puck is a magnet right so you stick it on there that'd be really dope I haven't played well and forever
Starting point is 00:53:55 I want to get back into it but I don't have anyone to play with I want to play with myself it's kind of sad to play Burrtle some wow but again so I've been playing um I have played been playing well first off Lowley wants to know have I played the half-life games yes I played every single half-like game except for half-life Alex I do not have a VR space set up so I don't want to play it until I have a space
Starting point is 00:54:21 set up for a VR but I played literally every half-life game I grew up playing half-life games I'm I'm 30 homie so you know I I've I've been around like uh I was I was I was I was alive for the launch of Half-Life 2. Because the games I'm playing, I'm playing two games, three games, actually. Rust with some of the homies, got back in the Rust. GtFO, which stands for Get the Frick Out, amazing game, and then Destiny 2 here and there.
Starting point is 00:54:53 There we go. Would you recommend 3,700X or 3,600 for streaming? Yes to both of them, because they both have really good performance. You're not really going to have an issue either one, to be honest. Like, I used to stream off of an I-5. Yeah, GTFO is awesome. That game is super, super fun. It's scary for a minute.
Starting point is 00:55:15 The thing that's scary about that game isn't the enemies that you're fighting. It's just screwing up and losing an hour's worth of progress and, like, a run. It's what's scary about that game, right? It's like, if I don't do this correctly, I'm going to die. And then I get to start all over in his mission. Have we tried squad on Steam? If you haven't tried out, it's fun to play. I like squad, but it reminds me too much of armor where it's like it's kind of, uh,
Starting point is 00:55:40 there's a lot going on in that game, right? It's like in that point shoot, right? It's a very, uh, what do you call it? Uh, it's very intense, very realistic, right? And the times I did play squad, it was fun because like, it's, it's like, nothing's happening and all of a sudden, everything's shooting, you got cracks of you, you, like, the bullet cracks and stuff and then, you know, that's it. I remember one time I was playing it was playing.
Starting point is 00:56:02 in rust and I would think I think what is what was the poppy field or something and I was on the ground and the enemies didn't know I was going through oh congratulations to Lally for winning Nitro look at that uh DM me so I can remember and then I would DM Ivan to give it to you because I don't I don't have control that um yeah so I was I was in like the grass or the poppy field or whatever it was in that map on on squad and I'm just laying down laying down and everyone's walking past me and I'm taking shots of these guys and taking them out and they're not paying attention they don't know who's killing them i think got like 20 kills before someone finally found me and then he found me because i ran of ammo because he had limited ammo in that game oh because you have your uh let's see uh how can I learn which parts are good to use for PC I mean pretty much yeah um watch videos look at builds asking the hardware channel on the discord that's what it's there for you know community helping community uh all that a lot a lot fun stuff uh let's see here shoutouts to mycicle by the way for hanging out today i'd be doing okay buddy i'll be doing hope you're doing good all right uh be b b's been
Starting point is 00:57:21 been gone for a bit for a little minute now uh she's not been around for a hot second any good music you guys mostly into do you actually work at the meme team yes i do work on the meme team. My whole life is a meme. And building my first computer, do you have any advice on how to stay calm and relaxed? Don't trip. It's unswetted, dude. You only get as stressed as you allow yourself to get stress, right? So, like, it's not, honestly, the stress, the most stressful part about building
Starting point is 00:57:53 computer is making sure your cables are managed correctly so it doesn't look like a mess. That's the hardest part for me. You said you don't have VR space set up, but it doesn't be. you have VR. I do have VR. I have an Oculus, Oculus Rift. I forget which one it is. Andy sold it to me actually. Andy was like, hey, I got a viewer headset. I don't use it. And I'm like, how much you want for it. It gave me a good deal on the headset. So I took it. And I was able to play with it a little bit before I moved my room my, my room around. And I played super hot. And I played I didn't like Beat Sabre. I just don't find it fun. And then what I'll say I play? I play.
Starting point is 00:58:32 I played a I think that's it and like in whatever free steam stuff it has up there CV1 or DK2 I have no idea what you're talking about dude you're asking way too many hard questions I can't can answer that um be careful of CPU my friend shocked his I-9 because it's dog read to begin sim or something that's crazy I wasn't where that was a thing because every could can get repetitive yeah I think I was trying to figure out how to get some songs and beat Sabre and it took me too long to do it it so I just returned the game. It's like, it's like forget this dude.
Starting point is 00:59:06 I won't know this anymore. Oh, I've also been playing Raid Shadow Legends on my phone. No lie. I've literally been playing. No, that's not what the DK2 looks like. I'm sorry, that's not the one that I have. It's just sponsored?
Starting point is 00:59:24 This podcast is brought to you by Raid's Shadow Legends. I think I might have an Oculus. It's not a Go. RiftS maybe? Let me look at it. I might be the other. the quest got a no this is like this is no that's not the quest it's an older one I think he's had it for a little bit do they sell all the old ones still product is let's look it up
Starting point is 00:59:47 here rift it might be a riftess I think uh yeah I don't think it's a go yeah I think that one's it yeah I mean it works right like it's it's pretty cool um I don't know if I'm like in love with it but I know it's like one of the way that's a quest I don't know you guys are confusing me now so about so I'm asking hard questions um so's the question is it a good headset should I should I get rid of it should I trash it should I sell someone not's a rift y'all are y'all you're okay you know what the next topic next topic let's talk about something else someone else has me a question you guys can't get to say whether it's a Rift to CV1 and S or or or a viewfinder or something I'm already in quest on Monday and it can see a difference
Starting point is 01:00:41 Isn't the question that doesn't require like the the we call it? Yeah, the yeah, it's it's all the one No PC required which is the which is the Oculus sets that that has all the cameras on it so that you don't need to have it plugged into the computer it just works Okay, Chris down alone is that one any good like should actually like Like, let's say I wanted to upgrade, is it worth it or is the quality, like, not great? Because it's standalone. Because I feel like the fact that it's plugged into the computer means it can be better, right? Because, like, my thinking is the more stuff you, the more stuff you jam into the headset itself, right, takes away from what it could be in terms of, like, fidelity or, like, the view or whatever.
Starting point is 01:01:24 Or maybe, maybe I don't know how VR works. but like if I already get another VR headset I want it to look like I'd want the I want the picture quality to look really really good if you have VR ready PC you you have a PC
Starting point is 01:01:43 a VRP ready PC if you do get a rift that was a very weird sentence okay yeah so I guess the rift has to be the one I don't think that's the one I have though I think I should really look it up I just I just plug it in and just worked it looks cool like when you get it set up correctly
Starting point is 01:02:01 It's it's it's dope you know this isn't the rift test this is the new one Giss Rift test the thing that sucks about the Rift s or just the the one that I got is having to plug it into my computer Do you have all those wires and then the dumb? The dumb cameras I couldn't get it really figured out and then someone was like Hey, you know Like don't worry about it. It'll work. I'm like okay. Why is this streaming people? list it for 1500 when I can build the same one for 1250 build the same one as in like build the exact same computer like build in like like all the same parts nothing different are you talking like off a PC part picker because I have a
Starting point is 01:02:43 very easy answer for you are you are you ready for this sale prices that's it all of our computers are sold to MSRP there's no there's no sales there's no markup it's just the same price price all year round so it doesn't change so you get the same price same computer that everyone else gets exactly yeah PC bar pickers show you the lowest cost so you mean you could probably save $500 more by getting different parts right because we also have a limited selection of parts as well we don't carry like every single 2080 TI or every single 2070 super right like it's specific ones that we have in stock that you know we feel are good
Starting point is 01:03:24 to sell and stuff and you see whatever's available right now especially right now when like stock is so crazy with like everything so yeah that's that's why not sure if you're that's the answer you wanted but that's literally the answer i mean i'm not gonna lie to you dude building your own computer is always the best way to do it right if you can afford to build your own computer build your own computer like if you can if you know how to do it do yourself it's always better to build yourself right but if you don't want to or you know you don't want to deal with the hassle and have us do it and we'll do it for you easy peasy 100% that's the long and short of it right we're never going to tell you oh well you know it's because no man
Starting point is 01:04:04 if you get it for cheaper get it for cheaper right get it bro um yeah it's it's it's not about making a profit it's just about having consistent in fair pricing right that's that's really it's really what it is um so you know it's you know like i said there there's no markup we sell it at msr So it's not like we're charging you any extra because we're building it. The only thing we tack on is the shipping, because obviously computers have to be shipped somewhere. And then the $99 build fee, which is not a whole lot for someone to do everything, cable management, getting the parts in there, right? It's selling that thermal pace. You know that stuff in easy, getting your RGB in there.
Starting point is 01:04:44 If you wanted to buy RGB, we quality control it as well and make sure things installed, do your drivers. You know, and then we'll also support it for two years if anything breaks in it. pre-builds are decent for people that don't trust themselves and building themselves. Not even that, right? Like, maybe I'm just lazy. Like, here's the thing. I've been building computers since I was like 12, right? Building computers is fun, but it's also a pain in the butt.
Starting point is 01:05:07 It takes time and effort, right? Yeah, right? I just, you know, just give me the computer. I plug it in and it turns on, right? What more could you want, to be honest? But if you want to build it yourself, bro, go for it. That's 100% your choice and you're right as a customer. as a builder, we still sell cases, we still sell coolers, we still sell, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:28 uh, RGB and controllers and fans, stuff like that, right? So you can still, you know, you can still, uh, you know, a build with NZXT does not have us build it for you. Let me get a bunch of slack messages. Uh, well, you do get a profit because most of these parts are cheaper at production, right? That's how that this is how it's possible. Well, yeah, I mean, that's how every company works, right? Like, if it, if it, if it, if it, if it, cost me, you know, five cents to make a bottle of Coke, right? I'm going to sell at the suggested retail price, right? So, I mean, we're not buying it at MSRP.
Starting point is 01:06:05 That would be a terrible business model, right? We go through, you know, the manufacturer, whoever, you know, I don't know how 100% it works, but we don't, we don't buy things at MSRP, right? But same way, like, Microsenter doesn't buy things at MSRP or fries, doesn't buy things to MSRP or SCAN. Or New Egg, none of those companies or Amazon, they're not buying them. at MSRP they're buying them out whatever the you know seller price is right and then that's you know that's how it goes um I don't know what the profit margins are that's not that's
Starting point is 01:06:34 not that's too big brain for me that's uh above my pay grade right I just make memes I'm just I'm just the I'm just the delivery boy I'm just the just the male boy extra extra read all about it send memes just look at your profile I got him whew memeed on bro dude commoted
Starting point is 01:06:59 it's a knee slapper right there so yeah guys episode 50 of the N60 Clubcast things are joining me by the way
Starting point is 01:07:06 and listening to me talk for like an hour plus I didn't think I could do it but here we are we're doing it we're making it happen
Starting point is 01:07:14 hopefully you guys are enjoying yourselves if you guys have any suggestions or comments or you know if you want to tell me never have Dennis
Starting point is 01:07:22 on by himself again. I would just rather not have a podcast and have just Dennis talking all day. That's perfectly acceptable as well. He's not going to hurt my feelings. I've heard people tell me less. All right. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Next time Dennis alone, he's got to eat something spicy. Why it's it so spicy? There we go. I got a jam for you guys for a minute. Let's vibe for a second. You know, it's funny. Actually, I've been listening to a lot of music
Starting point is 01:07:52 because a lot of my music listening is done while I'm playing games, which I haven't been doing a lot of, to be honest, or while driving to work. I haven't done that while either. I feel like we don't have a podcast, and this song is played at least once, right? The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip. Big iron on his heel. Will there ever be a section of people to post links for parts on sale? Thank you, Alan.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Appreciate it for sure, dude. so I will say this I think it would be cool to have a to have a spot where people can sell their their their but they can sell their parts the problem is that I don't want to be in charge of having to deal with deal with the disputes that come of it right because there's going to be a situation at some point or another where someone's going to complain hey you know Alan sold me this computer and it doesn't work I want you to fix it for me and be It's not my problem. And he'd be like, well, it's on your server.
Starting point is 01:08:54 But, bro, it's not my problem. Talk to Alan about it. And then Alan just ghosts them, right? And just blocks them on, on a, on Discord or something, right? Also, I mean, there are a lot of places you can go to sell your parts, right? It doesn't have to be the Discord server. Facebook marketplace is a thing. Offer up is a thing.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Craigslist is a thing. There's a lot of places you can go to sell your parts that are much better than a a Discord server for sure. I would want to buy anything off of a Discord server for sure. That's not. I don't trust people that much. much. If you do more power to you, man, that's all on you.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Who's better mean Lord, Alan or Dan? Alan, Alan, Alan's really quick-witted. Alan's very, very quick-witted. He's made me blow air out of my nose more than a few times. I least a few times. I don't know how long we should have this podcast go. Sorry for that loud noise. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Your ears. Quick brain and fast fingers. Yeah, I mean, sometimes, sometimes I'm feeling. slow right sometimes I'm feeling fast talk about the RtX 3,000 series please I have no idea what that entails I don't know what the is a news out from it I don't really talk about parts my man's I guess I say go to the video website and they'll tell you all the info this fan setup suck in front blow it back that's the best setup unless you have a Lee and Lee case and it's suck blow out the front side top and
Starting point is 01:10:20 bottom those fans are nuts although those those those cases they're nuts and do nzicc gets those secret rt x3k series telegraphs that self-descript delete this message as soon as you finish reading um what is this song denestly can you make it announced songs uh it is big iron on his it's good it's called big iron by marty robins apparently i uh ivan owns this this uh just like vinyl or something like that is he In the Kine employee just said Lee and Lee. Yeah, I mean, they exist, right? He's asking me what the best fan setup is.
Starting point is 01:11:01 If it's one of our cases, you suck in the front, you blow out the back. But if it's a Gleon Lee case, there's fans all over that thing, right? There's fans on the side, this fans on the bottom. There's fans like diagonally pointed towards like the sun and the moon, right? So you get your best chi going. Lee and Lee cases are insane for airflow. But they're also really huge, right? What else you got here?
Starting point is 01:11:24 Do you like bang for buck PCs or more aesthetics on the PC? So when I was younger, bang for buck is king. Now that I'm older than I have some money I can spend, both. I want it to look good, but also I don't want to overpay for it, right? But for example, you know, let's say I wanted to build an all-white PC case, all-white PC. I might be paying a lot more money for that because those parts aren't as easy to get and then might be a little more expensive because they're limited run colors, right?
Starting point is 01:11:50 back to the supply supply chain stuff right do they pay you extra for hosting this no i did not get paid extra for hosting this this is just part of my everyday job to do a podcast content is king my friends imagine just being able to sit in discord server and you have how many people or are listening right now i can't count it's something kind of for me having 40 people just listen to you talk that's pretty cool and then imagine people we have listened to the podcast um by the way guys this this let's uh be smart right And let's make sure we're sharing the podcast with all of our friends, right, and family.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Because maybe some of them might be lonely, right? And they want to like hang out and stuff. You know, and they don't have anyone to talk to you. So you just go ahead and, you know, just share the podcast. Say, hey, are you bored? Are you lonely? Listen to this guy talk for an hour and 24 minutes. You feel much better when you're done.
Starting point is 01:12:50 Yeah, I go to the questions we got here. Y'all think I'm not fast on the moderation. Miss me with that. Miss me with that. I'm all about, oh. Oh, God. Special announcement regarding Destiny 2, new release date. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:13:10 Oh, they pushed the launch date to November, actually. So they're September for the new Destiny expansion. That's awesome. Exciting news. We're pushing you back. That's not exciting. Will it be international shipping because the N-Zixie products sold by PC shops here are way overpriced? If you feel like the pricing is not good.
Starting point is 01:13:31 So you got to remember, we don't really control the prices for our products internationally. That's set by like the shops and also set by like things that affect the price. like the cost to get the the the the product in that country whatever import taxes and stuff like that tariffs there that are a thing like for example um there are really heavy tariffs taxes in brazil for products products that are not produced in brazil but for example why there's a really crazy like a gray market for video games in brazil because who's making like nintendo switches in like brazil right doesn't really think Nintendo used to you then they pulled out
Starting point is 01:14:17 same question saying it was not I was saying it was non-use parts talking about deals on Amazon and other liable websites oh I mean again right there there are better places for that
Starting point is 01:14:29 I mean example if you ever go and Reddit build a PC sales is like people are on that consistently posting deals about parts right like and also the list where it's from and stuff like that you know like I don't think
Starting point is 01:14:44 I don't think we need to the channel for that. What keyboard and mouse do I have? Well, right now in the office, I'm using an A Nixius keyboard and mouse. In fact, I know the deal, the dude who works on Nixius,
Starting point is 01:14:55 who works on product, by the way. Cool guy. He plays Chun Li. He's Chun Lee isn't that great. Come at me, Peter. Let's go. I know you're listening, Peter. I know you watch what I'm doing, bro.
Starting point is 01:15:04 Come at me. Find my Ed with your Chun Lee. I'm a clap you. But anyway, at home, I have a Steel Series Sensei 310 because I use my mouse left-handed, So I need something that's amidextrist or something that is lefty.
Starting point is 01:15:18 And then my keyboard is a GMMK with kale box whites, putting key caps that are white as well. And it's a full keyboard. I need a 10 key because I need numbers. 10, do you think your parents listen to these podcasts? They definitely don't listen to the podcast. I can 100% guarantee that you do not listen to the podcast. I don't even know if they know what a podcast is or if they can spell podcast. cast my parents are my well my dad's from nicarago my mom's my mom is from
Starting point is 01:15:48 mexico they'd be able to learn how to use facebook and like tic-tok right and tic-tok's easy because you just swipe up and down right they're you know they're in tic-tok when they're cracking up imagine not building your own keyboard from the ground up I can definitely imagine it because that why I wouldn't want to work on soldering stuff like that I'm I'm giving me the shell give me the the little holes to put my keyboard in and I'm good to go um Yeah, I would, I would, yeah, I'm not, I'm not, uh, I already build my computer. I don't want to build my keyboard.
Starting point is 01:16:20 It's expensive, dude. Building keyboards are not cheap. I can't see how many of the same thing. I've always hated using keyboard without 10 key. I've always hated using numbers of top on this is for password. I need that 10 key for everything in life. So it's a funny thing, right? Because I play games like Rust where you use a 10 key,
Starting point is 01:16:35 or do you use a keypad to, like, you know, punch in like a password for something? Or, again, like, GTFO, where you literally, part of the game play, is you go log into a terminal and you use command line like prompts to search for things in the game right if I had to really quickly type in a code and there are monsters trying to eat my butt right I am 100% not going to look at that top row I'm going to slap my hand on that 10 key because I know by memory but I'ma bubba but good to go easy peasy lemon squeezy missy with that 5% 2% keyboard stuff right give me a full keyboard but to be honest I do you Yeah, this wants you do have a very very interesting diet. It's a mini Rike Iglesias. Can we give some some shoutouts to Minnie, by the way? His names have been so on point with that. He's killing me, dude.
Starting point is 01:17:27 You can probably take my job, 100%. GTFO is a four player, action, horror, cooperative first person shooter for hardcore gamers looking for a real challenge. Yeah, it's kind of a cringy description, but it's kind of what it is, though. Think like payday, right? like the game, payday of the highest,
Starting point is 01:17:48 or whatever it's called, Pai Day, Highest Pay Day, and then Left for Dead, mixed in. It's like that, right? It's, uh, and then the little bit of, like, middle gear solid mixed in
Starting point is 01:17:59 because you've got to be, like, you know, sneaky and stuff. That's the Wikipedia description. I'm pretty sure that's, like, the Steam description as well. I don't think it's any different, to be honest with you. Hold up.
Starting point is 01:18:15 I got a, I got a Slack message. It's funny. Have you moderated other Discord servers? Yes, I moderate the DenCord that is the server for my stream. And also other ones too. Like when I was working at Kakao Games, I moderated the Kakao Games Discord. Well, I moderated for a little bit, and then I was not happy with the direction
Starting point is 01:18:40 it was going, and it also wasn't my job. So I was like, I'm not going to do this anymore because I was just like, I'm not getting paid extra for this. So, yeah. and not that I don't like doing work, but I also don't like, you know, I don't like when people run things poorly and I just don't get an option to even offer an opinion.
Starting point is 01:19:00 Can you get a link to the stream? Yeah, I hit my profile. It's right there on Discord. Twitch.tv slash yeshoki, Y-A-S-H-O-K-I. Shammes plug for everyone out there in Internet land. Let's go. The Discord link. If you're smart, you can find it.
Starting point is 01:19:16 What platform does the NXT team use to communicate? We use several platforms for doing stuff. So we use Trello for planning our projects and planning our work stuff. We use Slack, which is Discord for business to communicate with the whole company. And then we also use carrier pigeon when we want to look at Facebook DMs to ask us for free computers. It's the Shore Shop. The Discord link on Nishoki.com is expired. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 01:19:53 Someone's got to fix that. Linear switches or tactile? Yes. I don't know. The ones you want. Are you asking me what I prefer or you're asking me what? I'm not sure which one you want to. Did ever get people free computer when people ask you on DM's social media?
Starting point is 01:20:12 Never. Has NCC ever got hacked or similar? I hacked the account on accident and changed the at. name. I think we talked about that in the previous episode where I accidentally changed the app for our Twitter and then we lost our verification badge and then they couldn't get change it back because Twitter's the minimum name count or name character count is five and ours is four. So we had the contact Twitter partnerships, which I didn't have access to right away. I had to like ask five different people to get me someone's information and we got it fixed. So so for two hours
Starting point is 01:20:45 we had a different name on social media. I think it would have been funny if we just like could never change it back and then like Johnny decides well this is the name for nzxx let's rebrand everything and then that's just like the name that we went with that'd be really funny story I think and it could have possibly been the best choice in the world yeah NZXT Humanities and ZXT Twitter the social media and community team do of course yeah yeah I'm not really sure the difference between linear and tactile switches are to be honest I just picked the ones that I thought were cool and they ended up loving them so Yeah. I don't know what kill box whites are.
Starting point is 01:21:23 Was it N60 stand for? N60 stands for NZXT. What was it called? What was what called? Oh, wait. Is that way? No, no, no. So NXT and NXT with the pier at the end is two different things.
Starting point is 01:21:35 It's just they, they, we, we rebranded and just kind of clean things up a little bit. That's, that's a completely separate situation. There's nothing to do with that. No zebra's elephant time. That's a good one. I like that. Let's just going forward. Say that NZXT stands for no zebra at Xilof one time.
Starting point is 01:21:53 I am 100% down for that. Crafted gaming armor shirt. Oh, yeah, that's what we used to call that too. NST, crafted gaming armor. It's like back in the Guardian days, like Johnny number one, smart time. Let me see here. Let me think. I think I can't remember.
Starting point is 01:22:19 what a n-16t thing was before as well there's something something else is there such a thing is there such a thing as too much rgb uh no do you never we need a crafted gaming armor case throwback called johnny five oh send that in dude that's a good one when will the vc be up again whenever the mods are available to do it we got to be able to post those up you know about that we're getting we're getting all kinds of stuff here uh where does n-16 name come from from listen to literally the last episode of the podcast and you'll and you'll find the answer to that go go look it up it's there somewhere are you guys still going through moderator applications we're always going through moderator applications make sure you submit the best application you possibly can that's all it's all say about that um i'm going to think here uh oh sorry okay um what me 6 level are you i am level uh 1 through 337 me 6 level so do you think there's such a thing as to lodge of a monitor i think there is to be honest i think there's a i used to work in tv sales and there's like a
Starting point is 01:23:51 there's like a certain distance you want to be to get good quality and still be able to see everything on the screen right um like if you're sitting really far away from it and it's like like a 15 screen then yeah but if you're like two feet away from it you can't say anything right there's there's like a there's definitely um i'm sure you can google it There's like a perfect distance to be away from your monitor for gaming performance, stuff like that. That's definitely a thing that you can look up and figure out what the best distance slash size monitor for you is me. What game series is a dating sim spinoff? You know what?
Starting point is 01:24:31 The Witcher. I want a Witcher dating sim because the dialogue in the Witcher is so good. Yeah, there you go. That's a good one too. that's a really good a really good one okay i think how long have you been in zyxie i've been working the company a little bit over a year now one of the new one of the new new new crew cleaning things up changing stuff fixing stuff i played the kFC dating sim i have not i want to i want i want to aid the witcher case i would i would also like a the witcher case as well is it
Starting point is 01:25:01 funny that it's called the witcher right it's not called witcher it's called the witcher so you saying i want to aid the witcher case It's technically the correct way to write that sentence, but it sounds weird when you're saying it out loud. Dan lagged when he said the year. You lag all the time. A, the Witcher, exactly. What's your favorite N60 case?
Starting point is 01:25:20 Currently, it's the H-510 Elite. I like the elite. It looks sick. It looks super dope. Demi Lovato Camp Rock craft case. I want a Hannah Montana craft case. You know how cool that would be? If we just went like left field and created the most ridiculous, like,
Starting point is 01:25:35 craft case ever, right? It has nothing to do with gaming. It's nothing to do with computers like even Stevens or Simpsons craft case. People would buy that. Can we get a Corey in the house case for the memes? 100% you'll love that. Just got an AIO and my CPU is ice cold. Really happy with the product.
Starting point is 01:25:52 Anything else from NSICC you would recommend that being anything. Yes, get a puck. Pucks are great to hang your headset off of. It's super handy. You'd be surprised how useful the puck actually is. I would also get a, From us. I really pretty much it, man.
Starting point is 01:26:09 I mean, if you don't, honestly, the thing is like, in my opinion, the puck's the coolest thing you ever put out. I mentioned the puck, too, during my interview. I was like, yo, listen, you guys make cool computers. But that puck, though, is pretty sick. Who the heck would put out a rubbery piece of a magnet to slap on your case? It's such a smart idea, right? I'm surprised no one thought about it first, like before we did. You got these, like, banana holders, and someone was like, no, slap it on the case.
Starting point is 01:26:36 just put it right on there put it right on there the puck is really good at holding artwork on a refrigerator yeah that too um i know i've been said he's like 50 bucks and used them for like everything uh n xxt live stream hq tour that'd be a cool idea i'm stealing that it's possible to ask for custom nz60 case colors uh not really because it costs money to get things of different cases and uh the case has to be there for things to to uh there has to be a case for us to make that right because it's not just you know yeah there you go Alan said it right there find a place to dip your case just dip it plastic dip it you're good to go um any color as long as they're black white or red and black because some reason
Starting point is 01:27:17 people still love red and black that's like awesome color any plans for more rewards and rewards there's plans for everything um okay uh I think that is it so before we end this we do I do have a couple of announcements for you guys so first off Congratulations to setup winner. Magnumosity, right? For his box case, or is a cardboard box laptop setup. Hilarious. I'm glad that won.
Starting point is 01:27:46 Super, super great. And obviously, we'll be doing the announcement later. Congratulations to Ed Vro for his long den wallpaper. I hate it so much. I don't know why. That's the thing. But congratulations to him for winning. So someone posted up in the channel.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Someone has it already. Just posting the channel. Again, guys, you're missing out if we're not listening to this live. But even if you are not listening live, thank you for being here and listening to me talk for an hour, 28 minutes. A wide poppy walking gift. That case, that case that wallpaper is so ridiculous. I hate that it's a thing.
Starting point is 01:28:28 But I love it at the same time. Also, don't forget to enter the siege giveaway. We were giving away a decked out NZT, Rainbow Six Siege, Craft Six Siege case. I said that completely wrong. Someone link it from me, please. I'm too easy to do it. But that's a pretty stacked up setup. Let me see what it has in it right now.
Starting point is 01:28:53 That computer is equipped with a H-510 Siege craft case, a 2070 super, an I-7-10-700 K, which is, I, can we need to change these names on these things? A Crackin Z-63, 16 gigabytes of RAM from a T-Force, an MSI Z-49A pro, obviously, and Intel 665PM.2, 228, 1 terabyte, SSD, and power supply that is of a reputable brand. No one cares all power supplies. It's an EVGA supernova. Whoa, crazy guys.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Send it for that, please. because it's free right there's no reason not to do it yeah it looks like that it looks like the century the old century case I'm so I'm still trying to find one that can buy like brand new
Starting point is 01:29:44 and like bring it into the office oh yeah thank you and also the the rob the rabbi tech is a rabbi or rabbi tech I'd never know how to pronounce that Robbie tech is also doing his that one's not our giveaway
Starting point is 01:29:56 but we are like I think we gave him the case for that one rabbi tech I like that rabbi Shalom in the home you guys ever watched that show Shalom in the home it was this it was this reality show that didn't last very long where they would have people who have like a marital or like house problems come in you know have a rabbi come into the house and teach some like how to be a better family and it
Starting point is 01:30:20 it wasn't Jewish families either it was like just regular people and then this guy would come in like a legit like full rabbi and like you'd be like this is what's wrong with your family let's fix it it was a hilarious concept for a show I probably know like 5, 20 reasons why he just did not do well. But it was, it was a, it was a very interesting idea for the show. And the name was great. I don't care about anything about the name. Shalom in the home.
Starting point is 01:30:44 So good. You know, someone was like, I get an idea for the name for the show. What do you think? Or, or maybe the idea for the show came first from the name, right? This guy just chilling there. It's like, Shalom in the home. Hold up. Johnson, give me a second.
Starting point is 01:31:01 I got a great idea for a reality show. Let's do this. The Discord code giveaway. I mean, I could. Maybe I could not, but I will. Because you write, thanks for reminding me. I did not. Gee, Cree.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Wish I had some mods to help me with this. That'd be really great. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. There we go. Then, okay, and then one more thing. there we go have fun entering guys
Starting point is 01:31:37 get that free nitro homies um damn we're at 100 11100 10011 1100 111 100 11000 members in the server it's pretty crazy 20,000 online that's pretty ridiculous
Starting point is 01:31:53 um nice server let's see here who won the Wap Everything again it was uh the long done one by What the name is Edrow? Edrow, right?
Starting point is 01:32:07 Not sure you getting yellow. Do it. If you went twice, maybe who knows what happens, right? Oh, yeah. So actually, other some of the news too, server-wise. So we changed the rules for both wallpapers and both setups. So if you guys noticed that.
Starting point is 01:32:22 So for wallpapers, you just clarified some things. So number one, you know, make sure that you're following the guidelines for the sizes, right? 1920 by 1080 for desktop minimum and 1080 by 1920 for mobile because they just don't look good. If you have anything higher than 1920 but 1080 then I don't know, stop flexing on everybody. But we changed the rule to be a little bit more lenient on what the artwork could be. So now artwork for the wallpapers, right, for the wallpapers must be transformative in nature, a.k. doesn't have to be original, but don't just like steal stuff, right? because then it just doesn't look good.
Starting point is 01:33:00 Don't solicit people for votes. That should be obvious, right? Just don't bug them in DMs. It's not nice. And don't manipulate the vote system, obviously, right? And then also, we had a little thing at the end so that you can't yell at us. Administrators can remove posts at their discretion.
Starting point is 01:33:15 So, you know, there we go. And then also for the setups is a little different as well. So we did this because we wanted it to be more of a fair thing. So this is a decision with all the admins, right? All the admins agreed. Not one person decided on this, right? Don't DM me and ask me why. Dan, what did you do this?
Starting point is 01:33:30 Because I'm just going to, I'm going to not respond to you. Like, I'd do with like 90% of people. So any kind of setup is acceptable, right? Because we want to be inclusive. Console gamers are gamers too. Mobile gamers are gamers too. Right? Board game gamers too.
Starting point is 01:33:43 Maybe we've got a really cool board game setup, right? I would vote for that. That's sick, right? Set up must be yours. You must be able to prove it if an admin or a moderator request. So it can provide a photo that the setup is yours. If you do not when you are allowed to. submit again people were asked me that multiple times so duh you can submit your
Starting point is 01:34:01 your setup again if you didn't win you know it's kind of a setup a giveaway recurring contesting we got going again do not solicit community members for votes and DMs it's a very annoying you have a hundred thousand plus people in the server if one person starts messaging every single person that's literally spam it's also against discord TOS and god lands please don't do it it's not nice and obviously don't manipulate the vote system let's all be fair right it gave everybody for a chance and then we also added a new thing the multiple winner rule, right? Which is, if you win the first time, you get a shirt, the second time you get a
Starting point is 01:34:33 sticker pack, the third time you also get a sticker pack. After that, you can still submit and still win. You just don't get anything, right? Just to give a fair, to give everybody a chance to win something. But, right, to be eligible for another shirt, your setup must be new, quote unquote, new. So what does that mean? What does a new set up mean, right? It doesn't mean I change the colors on my RGB and now it's from the left or right angle, right? What that means is that, is that is that you you basically have upgraded your setup right you changed it for example right spare scrub had a really neat setup and then he literally got a whole new desk and redid his whole setup so to me that's different yes literally i am telling you to move houses
Starting point is 01:35:12 move houses truck get a whole new house that that's that's what counts as a new setup get a whole get a whole new house um yeah exactly uh then love the scrub leveled his monitors and we all cheer pretty much right um But yeah, but you know, so like, you know, say you get new monitors or you get a new desk or you like you rearrange your setup, right? That that counts to you, right? But if you're taking like the same picture from a different angle, different coloring, you know, we want to be fair to people, right? Like obviously just, you know, just keep in mind that there are other people who want to win and want to give a shirt, right? The shirts are free.
Starting point is 01:35:47 Don't cost anything to you, right? Let's give everyone a fair chance. Just be nice to each other, right? And I think that's it for news. I can't think of anything else top of my head. As always, right, if you have any questions, concerns, worries about the Discord community, right? The Discord Club, feel free to message an admin or a moderator, right?
Starting point is 01:36:12 Let us know what you, what you think. Any things you think that could be a cool improvement to the server or things we could add to the server? Let us know, right? Like, we want to hear from you guys, the server is for you. We wouldn't have a server if it wasn't for the community. So, you know, if you want something, don't like something, or worried about something, have any concerns, questions, you know, feel free to ask us. We want to answer everything within reason, right? Like, you know, to some things we don't want to tell you because it's, you know, not our business to tell or things like that. But, you know, if you have any questions, feel free to, feel free to hit us up and ask us whatever you want to ask, right? We're pretty open people. And we might take us a little bit to get to your, to your question because you have a lot of people asking us questions. But, you know, never feel, never feel like you can't talk to us.
Starting point is 01:36:54 Please, please, please, let us know what's going on. Oh, congratulations, Trog for winning the night show. Look at that. Trug said, love you, Dan, and then instantly won. I wonder if that's a coincidence. What do you guys think? You think you're rigged up in here? Do you think I rigged it?
