I just need help. Yeah, he's giving me more work and I couldn't be happier for it. But anyway, I feel like I missed a lot. I think I came back and half the moderators work at NZXT now. What else did I miss? Just the podcast still went on without me. I didn't listen to any episodes though while I was gone. It's okay.

He totally don't need to. Well, so it's like 56 with me and Alex and we're just like, chilling pretty much for an entire episode, just talk about whatever. I think there was some talk about like burgers or something. And then the episode before this one, it was literally just me answering like quick fire questions. It was almost like a Twitch pod. It almost felt like I was, I was, I felt like I was streaming again. We're like I was just answering a bunch of questions on like a RRL or something.

And then we also did a like after show. I think me being, I just smacked a microphone, me being a, I think Alex maybe for like minute my hop-down or something and just chat it with people for a bit and just answered a bunch of non-podcast-related questions. Oh, and also other exciting news. I guess I must just say it now just so people can start thinking about it. I got an email for the podcast. So it's clubcast at nzxte.com.

I was doing tests on it the other day, and it took a minute. It was like, it's really funny because, like, you think the small things wouldn't do much, but they take, they take, like, hours or something. Like, I think. I spent about and maybe this isn't good to like

announce on the podcast. I like just like the things they get paid to do but I spent like an hour testing this stuff out. Yeah, I just got it. One, two, three. Nice. Okay, we got some other questions, but I'm going to answer them at the end of the show

per normal. So anyway, so for those who listened live, they were treated to Fergie's Fergalicious song. which is actually one of my favorite songs. And the reason why I played it is is because during the pre-show, I mean, I mean, I've been having a little conversation.

And he was playing some music in the background. And I'm like, Ivan, like, where is that song? Like, who is that? It's like, I know, I know the sample. And apparently, Ivan was, he was bummed with some craft work, which I'm not super familiar with craftwork, the entity or the group or the person or whatever it is. But I've heard the name so many times because I'm kind of like a, I wouldn't say like a student of like hip hop or something. Like I definitely like to learn about things relating to like the culture and everything.

And like you can't hear about like old classic hip hop without listening something about craftwork. Like it just comes up, right? Yeah. So I guess I'll give you guys a little history lesson, I guess, on craftwork. So craftwork was arguably like the very first electronic group of musicians like ever. They're from Germany. They started in the early 70s four dudes. And they're like the first people to like experiment with keyboards and keyboards and

synthesizers and like 808s and, you know, basically like everything except a guitar bass and drums, which is what people were basically using to make music up until then. And they're a great band. A lot of great rock musicians from the 70s actually were very heavily influenced by craftwork, like David Bowie, Brian Eno, the Talking Heads. etc. A lot of great rock bands and musicians. And in the 80s, craftwork really influenced the hip-hop scene because hip-hop, unlike rock music, uses the same instruments as like electronic music, musicians. So it's like, you know, keyboards and whatnot. And I don't know if this is a fact or not, but I'm willing to bet that craftwork is probably the most sampled group in the history of music.

And I say that because, like Dennis said earlier, he's like, I recognize that song. Isn't that, isn't that, uh, Fergie? And like, my answer's like, probably because I hear craft work beats on like so many random songs. Everywhere, right? Songs from, from Kanye to NWA to Africa Bombada. Uh, you know, like pretty much every, every single rap.

artist you can think of as probably sampled something from craftwork so cool it's a cool group um but i guess this whole conversation started too because the whole reason i was playing this on my desk is because um i i moved my setup around this morning i removed my my second monitor and move my turntable on my desk so i can listen to music while i work that's the movie on spotify or youtube or anything like that you can't You can or you won't. I can. It's just something, there's something about, and I don't know, this is my old man coming out.

Here you go. I like holding a record in my hand. I like looking at the artwork. I like hearing the snap crackle pop when the needle drops. I have a lot of records. I've been collecting records since I was a little kid. And I don't know. I just, to me,

like there's no there's no better way to listen to music than just a record it just it sounds better it feels better makes me enjoy the music more than just you know telling Alexa to play rdb or whatever you know uh Ellen and chat says that the almond break is probably the most sample thing and I think he's probably right but I think in terms of like sampled like like group or sampled like I don't know you call it like just samples from a group I think I think you're right on the craftwork but I'm not sure because

I hear them everywhere because like I would consider I would consider like a breakbeat to be I mean it's it's to me that's not a sample in my opinion to me it's like the basis of a song right it's like you use that not I don't know maybe I'm wrong I don't know anything about sampling

I don't know anything about music I'm just I'm just talking about, I'm just talking about my butt here, but I think in terms of like sampled like sounds, that's probably the most sample sounds, but I think like the, the like plethora of like samples that have come from that group and where it's been, I think craft work might win that one. Yeah, and I think it's because when hip hop first started, there really wasn't a lot of electronic music to sample, you know, craftwork, you know, by, you know, by, you know, that time the 80s and hip-hop came around, crafticry like 10 albums out.

Awesome beats, right? Yeah. It just kind of made sense to get those records and sample them. Yeah. I only have two craftwork records. Really? Yeah, because I like to buy the original versions. So I have a 1977s Trans-Europe Express.

and then 1981's or how they say computer world in German Computer world I needed to help with this translation Computer world is my favorite

because not only did it come out the year I was born 1981 it also features a computer on the cover computers so it kind of I don't know I almost feel like this record was just meant for me in a lot of ways

I'm a really big fan of computers I'm more of a console guy, to be honest with you. Makes sense. Yeah. Yeah, I like, so I actually have a funny story about the talking heads because you brought them up a second ago. I took a creative writing class in community college, Golden West College, actually, down in Huntington Beach, for those who may know. And this is a night class because I also worked during the day because I was broke, right? So, you know, yeah, they're for that education, right?

And I forget where I heard a psycho killer by the talking heads, but it was somewhere. It had to been through a game or like a show or something. And I was like, okay, you know, got to do my creative writing assignment. Let me write this poem. And I was like taking some lines from the song and putting him into like this like creative writing poem kind of thing. And I submit my paper. I think the next day the the

professor is like so you know I was gonna remind everyone that when we're writing they were doing it with integrity and I'm listening to you know completely oblivious you know and she's like

you know someone ripped off this song like you know guys I was born in like the 70s you think I don't know the talking heads and I'm like what the heck is she like what the heck did I do so she's literally calling me out in front of the entire class

but I guess she didn't do anything about it because I guess like you couldn't prove that it was like plagiarism or something. But I went up to afterwards and I'm, hey, like I wasn't totally plagiarizing. I legit was just taking inspiration from from the song. I'm a really crappy writer. So don't take it as plagiarism.

Take it as like my writing issues is really crappy. And I'm not good at knowing how to how to put in like a, what do you call it, a inspiration and making it not seem like I'm trying to steal the work. And she, she forgave me for that. But for a second, I was like,

yo, I'm going to get expelled from this class or writing about this dumb song. yeah that's that's probably one of the most probably is the most famous talking head song um i don't know if it's their best but definitely one of their most popular um i love that song i can play it on the guitar can you really yeah dang there's actually uh there's a really really uh famous uh talking heads concert from i want to say it was like 19 77. But the concert was at, I think it was New Jersey or New York, like Shea Stadium or like whatever big, I forgot the name of the stadium in New Jersey is.

But anyway, the concert, the way it started was David Byrne, the lead singer of Blacking he he walks out on stage with a boombox and an acoustic guitar and it's just him right on stage with like the spotlight on him and he starts playing the boombox and it starts playing like a drumbeat which is psycho killer and then he starts off on the guitar and then it starts off really slow and then by the time the by the time the song is over he's like rocking out but But what's cool about that concert, if you watch the whole concert, the entire concert keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger as it goes on. And by the end of the concert, like that started with just that one guy on stage. It's like 100 people on stage, like rocking out to like the most amazing music you've ever heard. And if you've never heard of Blacking Heads, they're a really cool band because their whole thing is like they're inspired by world music. You know, so they use a lot of like, like African beats and did you reduce.

Yeah, like instruments that you would never imagine to be like in a rock band. And they're really cool. I just dropped the video of the Psycho Killer intro there. You can check it out. It's really cool. Is that where Alan's Giff is from in the podcast, Chad? I can't tell us that it is or not. It might be different.

I'm trying to tell it because the guy looks like he's wearing the same thing. The other thing about this guy, David Byrne, that's really cool too, is if you are talking Heads fan and you watch his videos in the 80s, he was famous for wearing these, like, gigantic suits. Let me see if I can find a picture. Is it David Burns? David Byrne. He used to wear, like, these ridiculous, like, oversized. oversized suits that make like no sense.

Yeah, he's, he's probably, yeah, like he said, he's old now. I don't know how old he is, but he's been around for a while. Sorry, hello, he's got a slack. Mattosolius, I've already, there you go. Imagine being that quick on it. Yeah, no, that's the first picture I saw when I Google it's a giant suit. Yeah, like I don't know much about them, but I know, or it gets him. Is it, is it just him or is it, okay.

Like, I don't know much about him. Yeah. Is it like a whole band or is just him? No, it's the tucking heads is like a, it's a whole, the band is like five people or four people. But they, they like, they have session musicians and sometimes like one of their songs, like Psycho Killer, It would just be like guitar, bass and drums. And then another song to have, like, you know, 50 guys playing the violin and like 40 guys playing some weird drum, you know. They're really like avant-garde type of like art rock, I guess.

Okay. Yeah. Like, just from that song alone, like, you can kind of tell like the tone of the band, right, and like what they're about. There's some groups like that, right? We're like, you can kind of tell just from one song, okay, they're like this kind of band, right? So if you want this kind of music, you better check. them out and see what's good, right? Yeah.

They're really good. Yeah. And they have groups like Outcast that like go completely the other end. I don't know why I was thinking about this. I was singing about that song, the way you move from Outcast. You know what's like it's like? It's like, it's like. Yeah.

And like I was I don't know why this song was stuck in my head. But then I was also thinking about like their first albums. And I'm like, what is you? What is big turnaround? They go from a good equipment I did do in what is basically like a song that I heard on like that I would see or hear on commercials for like radio stations they were like about like pop music and whatnot and it was so weird to me I like um the southern sort of southern Cadillac playlistsic whatever the heck it's called yeah I don't know which which album that was but uh um it's very like it's kind of like grimy hip-hop not really

dancing like that I think you're thinking of yeah Southern playa Southern playalistic Dillac I

yeah I can never pronounce the great yeah yeah yeah there's someone yeah

it's really because like after after that the way they do um uh atleans and then equipment I and then from there

to go surrender to Stanconia and that's like the big like, because jump from them. And then you got speaker box and look below, which is like, I don't understand. I don't understand anything about that.

Yeah, it's weird. I was, do you see that video of Andre 3000, like walking around like some city with like a flute or something? No. So have you seen? Yeah,

he's really weird. I thought so. That reminds me of like that keen peal skit, right? We're like, we're, we're, we're, it's like big boy at like a coffee shop.

and he's just like just ordering some coffee and then like Andre 3000 walks and he's in like almost like a Peter Pan costume and he's like dancing around and I always thought it was like a giant joke and then I saw this this video it was on Twitter the other day and he's literally walking around

with the flute I'll link it in the chat I don't let me say hold that yeah those guys are really out there why is his linking so weird hold that there yeah this is it right here you guys there's literally just under 3000

this is this is three stacks right here and fools walking around no ground town with the it looks like a didgerid or something in his hand dude it's so weird oh man um and music's weird but it's funny because like some people so people consider him to be like one of like the greatest rappers around right it's like like one of like the greatest rappers ever and then like dude just walked around with like a flute like i don't know what i would do if it was all kendrick like walk around the streets of compton and he has like a like a, I don't know, tambourine or something, you know?

He's just jamming out on it. That's kind of what this is. That's kind of weird. Yeah, he's a weird dude. Yeah, no. He's just very unique, you know? Yeah, no, for sure. He's definitely an artist, you know,

and artists just do things that are weird, I guess. Yeah, I mean, like, you know, you have to express yourself in different ways, right? And I think that's, I think that's part of the thing. is like when you're, I wouldn't say like a genius, right? But when you have that like type of mind about you, I guess, you kind of just express it in really odd ways, right? Oh, this is kind of cool.

it's been it's been one heck of year for me dude like it's just this whole year has just been like I don't know

it's just it feels like I'm in a movie man like when the year first started i was super excited right like 2020 um we had like all these like big big plans and ambitions for for the community you know we're like yeah we're going to do a bunch of meetups this year i know we're going to start doing you know all these like cool things and like ship all this cool stuff out and just like it getting harder and harder obviously because well first coronavirus right so that alone really mess with me because, you know, I live really close to the office.

I see it all the time. I literally drive by our office all the time, and it really hurts me that I can't go inside. I know. I wish I could go inside and, like, sit at my desk and, like, mail someone a pack of stickers, like, personally, because I love doing that stuff. And when I couldn't do that anymore, it just became really challenging, obviously. Okay, now we got to figure. out how are we going to work remotely and how are we going to figure out how to do the podcast remotely. How are we going to figure out how to ship stuff remotely? And then we're like, okay,

now we got to cancel these things. So that's one thing. And then the other thing, too, is, you know, I have a daughter who's two and a half years old. And this year and January, like, she started, like, all these, like, like, you know, programs, like, uh, going to the library, taking swimming lessons, just, you know, regular kids stuff, like the things that kids do. Right. And all of a sudden, she can't do those things. She has to stay home now all day with me and my wife. And it's scary because, you know, coronavirus can kill you.

It's like an invisible killer out there. So I'm worried about my daughter, my wife. And then after that, then like all the. the Black Lives Matter protest and then there was like rioting going on yeah and you know and then recently the reason I was gone the last couple of weeks is because my my dad got really sick so then I'm taking care of him not he's not sick with coronavirus but yeah make sure let people know that it's just like one thing after another man and it doesn't stop this here dude it has not stopped yeah and then now like i'm back and like now everything's on fire like

like outside my house literally on fire the sky is orange where i live man it's crazy it's yeah i don't want to i don't want to sound depressing like i'm definitely not depressed or anything like that like i'm not you know i'm not like i'm not like i'm not like i'm not like you know like i don't know i'm not going through like a midlife crisis or anything like that but it just it it does kind of it affects me because how can it not right i'm sure it affects everyone training yeah it's like everyone i'm sure feels the same way or it's just like what the heck is going on like can this can this get any worse and it just keeps getting worse and worse and just i don't know man it's been a crazy year i just hope that um i just hope it gets better man because

you know, I'm sure nobody wants to deal with any of this stuff, right? Yeah, it's a, it's been like a nonstop roller coaster. And I would even say ups and downs because I can't really think of like too many ups, to be honest. It's just been like, down, down, down, down. Maybe like go to the left and go to the right, but it's like different kinds of downs. You know, it's just, it's a bummer. But I'm kind of like in the same boat as you.

Like, I'm not like depressed. It's just like, I'm just more like over it. I'm like, bro, like, okay, like, I'm done. Can we just like, you know, can we just be nice to each other? Number one, can we stop burning the state every time it gets as hot and like, you know, I don't know, whatever the reason that like one of the fires was started is some January real party, whatever, right? It's like, that really made me mad, man.

That was so annoying. It's like, really, like, out of all the things. That had to be that. That really made me mad too because, like I said, I'm a dad. And if my wife was pregnant right now and she, she told me she wanted to do a gender reveal with some fireworks up in the forest. I would probably tell her no. I imagine I would say that's not a good idea, right?

Yeah. It's really hot and dry, and it's fire season. Yeah. People who did that were very reckless and careless and inconsiderate. and I don't know if they're going to get in trouble or whatever. I haven't really kept up with that, but I feel like there should be some repercussions for them. Maybe we just put that kid in jail for life as a punishment.

But you have to suffer in jail forever because your parents decided to reveal your gender and they burn the entire state. So speaking of that, I was not aware that the couple who was having the child was not aware of the child's gender until that party. I was in the impression that like the party was for everyone else in the family to know if it's like a boy or a girl. I didn't know that like if I was having a kid and we were having a gender real party that I wouldn't know. I'd be annoyed by that.

I don't like not knowing things. It's like the if if the hillside burned, it's a boy. This is so dumb to me. It's like, dude, it's my kid. I made this thing. Let me know what it is. I'm not going to wait for a dumb party. Are you kidding me?

I'm way too patient to that. I forgot who told me the other day that they should name the kid Sparky. I thought that was kind of funny. Smokey the bear. But yeah, man, it's crazy. Like my car is covered in ash. I can't even breathe. Like, it's weird because we had a heat.

wave, we had a heat wave that was, I'm not exaggerating, it was 120 degrees on my house on Jesus Christ. I think Sunday or, it was the hottest day ever recorded in history. And then the very next day, the very next day when the fire, after the fire, it was the first morning after the fire, it was like 75 degrees and overcast. Yeah. Because the sun couldn't penetrate through all that smoke. Think about that.

It went from 120 and super bright and hot to 75 in overcast because there was so much smoke in the sky that the sun couldn't penetrate. And then a couple of days, now we're a couple of days later. You know, it's Thursday. And now the sky is just orange. Yeah. Like, everything's orange outside. It's so crazy.

Yeah, the funny things that this isn't this isn't the first time that we've had like orange smoke but this is like the second time I remember in like my life it's been like this. Like we've had fires before, but I feel like they're getting way, way worse than are lasting a lot longer. Like I remember that one that one. It's a very rare. It's a very rare scenario. Like it's like a perfect condition for the orange sky. It has something to do with the way that the sun is and the way that the wind is blowing.

it's just turning everything orange. It's scary, man. Yeah, it's really weird. At the very least, we can go get a Travis Scott hamburger for McDonald's, right? That was all over my TikTok. Dude, it was so good. So all I knew is that there was like a hamburger that Travis Scott put out and I'm like, okay, that's cool.

You know, it's an interesting collab. But then the memes and the pitches are around. around it. I was rolling. I was dying. It was so good. These pictures like these kids are like supposed to be these super big highlight like they're like 12 years old and they're these these high beasts like yo let me get that Travis Scott hit me with that cactus jack. It's so good. I was dying. Like the caption said I just dabbed up Travis Scott. I love my life and the video is him like he gives Travis Scott a fist bump and Travis Scott goes,

Hey, yo man, get the hell out of my way. I'm like, can you, can you? Like, why?

Like, I can understand being a fan of someone, but it's like, it's just a person, you know, it's like, people are going crazy.

And especially right now with coronavirus, like people are jumping over each other and screaming at each other. And. For hamburger, right? Like,

come on, man. Like, it's not, it's not that important for you to, put your health at risk to touch some guy's hand. But it's Travis Scott. People are jumping over each other, man.

Do you see that? Yeah. But I mean, it's Travis Scott. It's lit. I need that hamburger. Oh my God. It's weird times right now. I can't even explain what's going on.

It's just, it's so much, so much. from every angle was it a Kate was saying in the chat that like if you get sick anywhere they just they just like automatically think it's COVID and I recently had to take my partner

to urgent care because she was having some she was a little sick and we knew it wasn't Corona right but they didn't know that it was Corona and we're like hey this is what's going on you know just this and that and the first thing like coronavirus like no no like we literally just got tested like we're good it's Corona I'm like no please like

shut up like just please listen it's not what it is give us some kind of body or something and like now we're pretty sure it's COVID and it's like well yeah because it's literally all you're seeing dude like like please listen to me it's it's really really annoying um yeah it's just like everyone's freaking out or everything right now and I literally just want to buy an air fryer that's all it is I'm just trying to get some nuggies going they got an airplane flying overhead or I think it's a helicopter we have a we have a navy base real close by so there's like chinix and we whatever, flying around them all day every day.

But yeah. It's crazy, dude. How are we going to stop all this craziness, Ivan? What's the solution? The solution is each of us has to be the change we want to see in the world. To be honest, like, every single person has to do their part, like, to make the world a better place. And that's the only way it's going to get better is if, If each single person just does their own part to make the world better, the world will get better.

Trugging shot says... That's the only secret. Trugging shot says that the way to save the world is H510 mesh. Yeah. I guess you're not saving the world then. That reminds me of a quote from a very famous speaker. He said that if you want to make the world a better place, you have to take a look at yourself and make a change.

And I live by that every single day. You can't change the world. You can only change yourself. You can literally only change yourself. Yeah. And if we all as individuals change ourselves to be better and take care of one another, then like what do you think is going to happen? It's just going to, the world's going to just get exponentially better.

But it's easier said than done because in the history of the world, you know, there's always been chaos and whatnot. not so yeah there was um there was this there was this individual i was speaking to um a while back and she told me that she would never want to have kids because like the world's so crazy and i'm like dude like have we not like picked up a history book the world's always been insane like there's never there's never a good time to be like raising children ever considering right i mean just take a look at like just like 10 years ago right and then 10 years before that like there's literally never a good time so just just do it just to start having kids

I'm going to do anything, you know. Like, that's, honestly, that is the, the revelation I had when I decided I wanted to get married. Like, I was with my girlfriend for, I think, like, five years. And I was like, I'm going to, I'm going to wait until this happened so then I can propose. I'm going to wait until this moment so I can have to be my wife. And then I eventually realized, like, even if that happened, like it doesn't matter like there's never a perfect time to do anything I was gonna ask her to marry me see what happens and thankfully she said yes and then you know once we got married then the

discussion was like right well when's a good time to have a baby and it was like you know what it's never going to be a good time so let's just have a baby and that's not everything in life is man like it's never it's never a perfect time to to like you know start a Discord server. It's never a perfect time when you invent an app. It's never a perfect time to tell your crush how you feel. That time is never going to happen. It's just like you as a person have to just step up and be like,

now is the time I'm going to make it happen. That goes for everything you want to do. It's not just like a big decision. It's even a little decision. You know, it's like, when's the best time to change yourself? Well, I guess it's yesterday, to be honest. I just got to do it. Yeah.

How did you propose? Did you like set anything up or he's like, hey, you want to do this thing? Well, as you know, I am a traditionalist. So me and my wife were Mexican. So I did it the Mexican way. And I went to her parents' house with my. parents and I asked for her parents permission to propose and yeah I did it I did it the old school man the old school way yeah and the reason I did that is because you know both of our

my wife was born in Mexico right I was born here but my my parents were born in Mexico her parents were in Mexico my wife is born in Mexico and I for me I I just wanted to show that respect to my parents and her parents. Like, I think it sounds nice, like, in theory, but I kind of like the idea of like, hey, I care about you this much. I put thought into it. I didn't just like, hey, let's go do a thing right now, right? Because I don't think it's a small decision to make to get married, right? It's definitely like a nice to me. It's like, you know, hey, I'm not really going to do this again. I don't plan on doing it. So, you know, I'm going to give like the best shot that I can, right?

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, touching nowadays with, you know, I don't want to jinx myself, but with like a divorce rate so high, you know, the odds are kind of against you. And I feel like if you're going to do it, you kind of have, I'm not saying rush, when I say there's not a perfect time and just do it, I'm not saying rush into it. And like that's going to show her your love just as much, if not more than, you know, you spending money on a gift just because it's a certain day. Like, oh, today is a day that I have to buy you something. Here's something that I spent money on. Great. You know, like now we have to spend 364 other days without gifts until this next day. It's like, to me, like, I don't know. I've, I'm not against gifts or anything like that.

Like, I definitely buy my, I buy my wife stuff all the time, but it's like not because it's like an anniversary. Like what I used to do back when I was going to the office every day, I told you I think every Friday I would order a pizza, right? Like every Friday I would show up to the house after work with a pizza and a bouquet of flowers for her. And like that was awesome. It was because it was like our thing, right? It was like I didn't have to buy her flowers. I didn't have to buy her pizza, but it was like our thing.

And to me that's a better gift. then just like, oh, it's our five-year anniversary. I have to spend X amount of dollars because, you know, everyone says I have to, you know. If you want to, if you can, sure, go ahead. But it's like that's not what marriage is about, man. Like marriage is like a constant daily, hourly, minute, second type of thing where it's you kind of have to, you have to show your love. constantly and I think it's a lot of sacrifice.

You know, you kind of have to live for that other person in a lot of ways. And then when you have a family, you know, once you start having kids, it totally changes things because, you know, now it's you're, you're basically living for those people now. It's not just you. It's like you. You have to think about them. Like I can't just get up and do whatever the heck I want, you know.

It's a family. basically. No, yeah, I'm definitely kind of the same way. Like with me, this year especially, I moved to my partner, I mean the pandemic and everything. And like one thing that I'm definitely doing a lot less of is like playing video games. Like I used to play literally all the time, like almost every single day,

hours right into the night. And I remember what you used to tell me, man? You're like, do, do you do. That's like, dude. Like, do you think I want to just, you can, like play video games all day long and like just being in my underwear. It's the best. And, you know, yeah, like, I would love to just sit in my underwear all day and drink

Mountain Dew and play fall guys. And choose some GamerGum, right? But what's going to happen if I do that? Well, first of all, I'm not going to get any work though. Second of all, my wife's going to probably be, like, you know, mad at me for just doing that. I'm not going to set a good example with my daughter. I don't know.

You kind of, I think the older you get, the more you realize that you just have to do the things you don't want to do, basically. And the more you don't want to do something, the more I think you actually have to do that thing. So you tell me all the time. Like, yeah, and I didn't always feel that way, but, you know, I'm almost 40 now. So I do think a little bit differently, I think, than I did when I did. I was 30 when I was 20 when I was 10. And now that I'm like 40, I'm like, if I don't want to do something, it's a good indicator that I need to do that thing, ASAP.

Yeah, I use it as my guide. It's like my, if something is just telling me like, don't do that, don't do that. But I'm not saying don't do it because it's bad. Like don't do it because I don't want to, you know. Like obviously, you know, you shouldn't do things. You shouldn't be doing anything illegal or. like that, but it's like if my brain is telling me, you shouldn't, you shouldn't, you shouldn't, you know, work on that report because it's boring and, you know, it's more fun to play video games than

my brain automatically tells me, okay, I should probably be doing that report and I'd have to be playing video games right now because I'm thinking about not doing it, you know. no yeah um do do the opposite of what you want to do i mean that's that's pretty much it right like like you know well it isn't even like a want to or don't want to think for me it's more like what i should be doing and what it shouldn't be doing right so to me it's like you know i could get up and go play video games or i can just lay down next to my partner watching movie and just like be next to her you know and it's like it's like a small thing right but it's like i'm not leaving you alone ignoring you right

though until I do it's like it's like on the weekends because I'm not a big of a sleeper in like my idea of sleeping in is like 10 and even then for me that's like super late right um so that's like my time i get up and play games but the rest of the time is pretty much like you know what are we doing right like what are we doing together where are we going to go stuff like that

not to like i'm like you know not going to be ever apart from someone but it's like, you know, if we can be together and this is what we want to do, let's do it, right? So, yeah, so like I'm pretty much prepared to start having kids now because I already know that any, any game time is going to be surpassed by, by family, by family and pizza and flowers time.

It's not just game time either, man. Oh, yeah, yeah, whatever, yeah. Everything, like every, like, for me, for example, like my, you know, I care, I like, I like listening to records more than playing video game. right to me that it really hurt me when when i got married and my wife told me um you have way too much music equipment here uh i don't want these i don't want these giant speakers in my living room we're going to have to get rid of them and you're going to have to like you know take organize these

records somehow because i don't want this all over my house and yeah i had to get i had these like giant speakers. I had to get rid of and it hurt me and, you know, it hurt me that I couldn't listen to my music so loud. It hurt me that, uh, that I kind of had to like move. Like once I had my daughter, I had to move, I had an office and I had to move my office basically all over the house and then give, give my office to my daughter because she needed a room, you know, and it's just, you have to sacrifice basically a little.

a little bit of everything for your family, I think. You just have to. If you want to be a good husband, a good dad, a good person, you can't be selfish. It's not going to happen. It's like you, you're just, it's just not going to work. You have to be selfish in the sense that you have to do what's right for you,

but you're doing what's right for you. So you can help those around you, right? So it's like you want to succeed, but then you want to succeed for things that are beyond just you for the sake of like helping yourself. You want to help those around you. I don't know what I would do if my significant other told me you can't listen to the chronic this loud anymore. I bought the album like twice too. So they can tell you that. It's up to you to do it or not, right?

You can still do whatever you want. Everyone, anyone wants to do whatever they want. The choice is yours. But whether you want to do something that your partner or your kid or whatever wants you to do, that's a different question. So you've been playing anything good? Are you playing any games lately? The fun in Amongstores. is once you learn the systems is using them in interesting ways to get people separated so you can murder them or or figuring out ways to stay together so you don't get murdered but it definitely

requires you to do some like some like big brain thinking I guess you say and something that you that like takes a little bit of time to learn but it's definitely pretty good with friends and stuff you know if you're just chilling like yelling at each other IMO yeah Chag said don't trust Denya, never trust me. Literally, if I'm ever the imposter, I just go ham on murdering people. I'm like super sneaky, solid snake, murking people left and right. I guess they're going to go splat out against your opponents there, and then last man's 10, he wins. It's basically a game I've been trained for my whole life.

You're talking about, and this is something different. It's called Mario 35. I just Googled Mario about a rail, and that's not it. I guess someone made one already. Yeah, and that guy's mad because Mario or Nintendo told him, you know, not to do, like, I guess like they basically cast this game or whatever. They're pretty litigious with their IPs. I mean, is it really ripoff, though, or like, you know, he could have totally made the same game

without using Mario, right? because like that's the thing yeah and that's the thing with like Nintendo right like a lot of the string from Nintendo is in is in the IP right like do you know Mario you want to play more Mario stuff like I'm never not going to be interested in like a Mario thing so if they make like a you know if you make a battle royale whatever and you use Mario stuff and it's a good idea Nintendo's going to tell you to take it down because you don't own Mario and then they're going to steal your idea it's doing how it works right it's like if someone made like a really good I don't know the MMO for Pokemon, right? And then Nintendo's like, no, or Nintendo slash the, the Pokemon company are like,

no, then they steal it. Like, you can't really get that salty, right? Like, you don't own, you don't own Nintendo. And I'm like, that's dumb because I'm literally listening to music right now. And what I needed to do is I needed to open up my sound devices to see all the available like output and like input stuff. Turned on the RTCX voice application. Wait for the RTS sound device to pop up, quickly enable it in the settings before it shuts itself off and then and then it works so it was it was a really dumb bug um it took me five seconds of googling to like figure out what the issue was and why why it was it was happening which is why i just google it i just i just saw the error gave me i google the error someone somewhere in some

form had the answer and then i just tried it and it worked so and that's how i'm talking to you guys right now um i think okay another question from alan were you hoping for a higher caliber question by sending up this email and how quickly has it disappointed you? And like that's one of the reasons why I was buying figures. So I'm like, this is not cool. And then also like, because they don't, they don't re-release these things. There's like anime that comes out every single year, four times a year for every season. It's almost like unsustainable. And then like they get really expensive. So then you run into this like hole where you want to buy this figure, you want to display it, but you don't want to take it out of the box because if you don't care about the show anymore,

then you might start a, you might like want to like sell it, right? And it's a really vicious dumb cycle. If I have things to display, I'm going to take it out of the box. It looks cooler that way, you know. I trust that whoever made it wants to look a certain way outside of the box and it in the box. Yeah, exactly. But I know the whole philosophy, I guess, of collecting is you buy one to use and one to save or whatever, but I don't know. I'm not a big, I'm not a big collector like that.

That's really interesting I've never rent to own anything I like that because I think now, especially with, you know, young millennials, the concept of owning things is definitely shifting with the internet for sure. Like, I think, I mean, look at music, right? Like, most people do not listen to music like I do. Like, most people are not going to go through the effort of, like, buying a record. and then put in the turntable and all that.

Like most people just rather pay $10 a month and then have every single song that's ever been recorded or whatever on Spotify and then just tell their smart device to play it because it's much more convenient to just have everything in your fingertips like that. And I think with media, no matter what it is, whether it's music, movies on Netflix or Hulu or whatever

or TV shows or video games, I think it's definitely the most convenient way to consume media, but I don't know if it's necessarily the best way to consume media for everyone, if that makes sense. Like, it depends, I guess, on the person. Like, for me, just use music as an example. I think a record sounds,

better than an MP3. Not everyone thinks that, though. Not everyone agrees. Not every person cares, right? But I do. And I know for video games, like we have coworkers, like shout out to like Vivian, for example, or Wesley. They buy every game physical. They love collecting video games.

They like having the cartridges on display and whatnot. Like, they don't want to have digital games. And for me, like, I'm the opposite. Like, I don't want to have a collection of video game boxes on a bookshelf. I rather just, you know, buy the game digitally on Steam or Switch or whatever. That's just me. So I think the rental model for media makes a lot of sense. And it's probably now with coronavirus going to start making a lot of sense for other things, too.

like the idea of buying a car, for example, so you can drive to an office so you can work 9 to 5. That's probably not going to be around for much longer. No one's going to need to buy a car if they don't need to go to work, right? If they can just work from home or work from wherever. Or maybe even the idea of buying groceries. Like what if there One day there's like a service where you just pay $100 a month

And every week You get like $25 worth of random groceries Shipped to your house or whatever I can see that happening I think too Yeah Renting I think is The concept of renting I think is shifting to Like I rent my house

And when I first ran in my house You know a lot of people told me like Why are you renting and you're throwing away your money and I never really thought of it that way because for me to buy a house, I mean, I probably could buy a house. I could, but then I'd be broke because every single penny I made would go into this house. I wouldn't be able to buy records. I wouldn't be able to buy video games because literally every penny I made would probably have to pay this huge debt

that's looming over my head because I wanted to buy a house. I'm not saying buying a house is wrong, but if like if every single, penny you're making is going into the house, then what are you really buying? You're not buying anything. You're just putting yourself into this debt and you're kind of like suffering in a lot of ways because you can't enjoy your hard-earned money on other things. And for me, like renting just makes a lot of sense because my entire paycheck doesn't have to go to the house, right? Like I rent a very small house. I live well below my means. You know, I don't have like this lavish lifestyle or anything I'm trying to keep up with.

So just renting a small house and not having to worry about paying off this giant $500,000 debt or whatever. For me, that peace of mind, it's priceless. And I'm not saying I'm never going to buy a house or anything like that, but especially here in California, like if I were to buy a house in California, right now, I have to be a millionaire because I'm not, I'm not going to buy a house and just like put every single penny I earn into that house. I'm just not going to happen. And a house in California is like a million dollars.

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that because like, I don't know, like if I wanted to own a house, I don't know if I want to do it here, especially know that everyone's going to working not from home. And, you know, like we just got like our like updated of like how long. and we want to stay out of the office. Like, if I'm going to move, I might just move like somewhere else where he is way cheaper and there's no fires. Because like...

I'm sorry? Every state has something like... Oh yeah, for sure, for sure, right? But it's like, you know, like now the need to be in like one particular place is like a little bit less than right due to the pandemic and like just we're all working from home anyway. And like I feel like a lot of businesses going forward are going to start really considering just like a

regular position to be working from home as opposed to doing it in like an office, right? Because like if we can still get the work done, we still get the work done, you know, I'm sure they're like, they're like easier things to do if you're in an office, you know? But at the same time, it's like, you know, if we can get most of the work done in a pretty good manner from home, then, you know, I could technically move to Alaska and like as long as as I have a good internet connection, like, I'm good to go, right? It's not fun, man. It's very inconvenient, dangerous, and whatnot. I wouldn't want to live there. Here in California, the only thing that sucks about California is every year we have fires. Yes, it sucks. And then after the fires, once it starts raining, we have mudslides. Yes, it sucks. And then every couple of years, there's like a random earthquake, which also sucks.

but I'll take that over like hurricanes, tornadoes, snow, humidity, heat, all that. I think California, the reason it's so expensive is because it has the best weather, like, straight up. Like, it just, there's no other state that has better weather than California. Like, that's just the fact. Like, it's just the best weather in the world is California, which is why everything is so expensive. I don't make the rules. We just followed them. All right.

something we did a craft case in the 710. Is that the Nicarola? Yeah, the Coca-Cola. Yeah. I think it might be just because of the cost, right? Because the Rainbow Six case was already about like, what, 250, top of my head, MSRP. So I can't imagine how much a H-710 version of that would be, be a lot. Yeah, the Nucca-Cola was the most expensive case we ever made.

That thing was, like, $200? Which is funny because like, because the people can plane that's like so expensive. It's like, well, yeah, it's limited addition. That's, that's why it's expensive because we're not making a whole lot of them. You know, like supply supply. Yeah. Also, it was like really, it's probably the most customized craft case we've made too.

That's the reason. It was actually like really heavily modified case. It wasn't just like, you know, graphics. It was, there was a lot of modification that was involved with it. tooling costs and whatnot? Yeah, where'd my list go? Would it ever be more rewards after level 50? Maybe, stay tuned.

something that we would love to do, but not until we actually get the software to a place where we're comfortable with just saying, okay, now it's exactly how you want it. Now it's your turn to do what you want, right? Like our software, it's definitely a lot, it's the better's ever been for sure, but it's not perfect.

I don't think any software is. And what compared to how the software is now to like two, three years ago, it's like night and day. And there's still a lot of room to improve. And I think for us to do something like an SDK, it's probably going to, I'm not saying it is or isn't going to happen. But I imagine we do want to do that, like, when we're comfortable with the way the software is. And there's still issues. like, I know like when Valerick came out, there was like an issue with Cam where it was crashing the game, you know, like, to me, that's more important than allowing people to like customize

their own lighting profiles with the SDK. But you got to figure out like all those little things, right? Like just the functionality of stuff. In my opinion. Yeah, right? It's like, that's probably low and ill-enlisted priorities compared to other things that we want to work on and implement within Cam, right? Which is also a factor as well, right? Like, There's a lot of things we could be working on, but there's also the balance of, like, features that would help make the software better for everyone, right? But, you know, like, I would like an SDK. I like to see Cam integrate into more things that be cool, you know? But be it to get our own stuff working first before we can allow other people to mess with it.

Not that it doesn't work, but you get what I'm saying. Will you ever make 200-millimeter RGB fans? I believe we might have. I don't think we definitely made a 200 millimeter one. I don't know if we made an RGB one though. I'm looking to see if our, so first off, I don't think any of our computers can take a 200 millimeter fan in it. So yeah.

Exactly. Yeah. The reason we did make a 200 millimeter fan back in the day is because we had cases that supported it. Yeah. So it would be kind of weird to. Yeah, there we go. That's the name on that one.

There's no name? It's just performance fan. Yeah, the FFN. Yeah, it's like one of those things where I don't know, like we sell a lot of cases in the sizes that we have now. So I think if there's like a really big need for computers that big and fans that big, we probably would think about it right. I don't know. Like I haven't had a full tower case in with the longest time. Yeah, I don't think making a 200 millimeter RGB fan is a high priority.

Also, RGB is expensive, dude. That's the thing, too. Like, it's definitely, it's definitely a flex, right? You're paying a lot more for a fan that big with RGB in it already. I'm sure there's other factors that go into it. But, you know, it'd be cool. You never know, right? Again, you never know.

If we see the need for it, then we'll, we'll do it. What computer do you get from your job? I guess you're going to get whatever we want, right? If it's for work purposes, seeing as working from home. The company is pretty good with like, you know, letting us know if we need something for work, you know. They're not going to give us like a 30-90 or something so I can do spreadsheets all day.

Or will they? Yeah. I just ask for it. I need to do this for memes. I need to do this for memes and do you think there will be limited stock on the 3,000 series cards? I can almost 100% guarantee you it will be near impossible. to get those cards on launch for two reasons one it's always been like that on launch new

hardware and two coronavirus things are you know like I got a I got a package delivered the other day from UPS and he told me it was here and I looked outside it wasn't there and then three hours later it showed up on my front door I'm like okay so you know I'm getting things delivered from the future I'm pretty sure we're going to have issues getting getting new hardware and by we I mean like everybody in general like not just computer many or, you know, like builders and, I don't know, stores that stock them as well. Will there be plaid purple NZXT PJ PJ Pants? Sure, why not?

Only if it has pockets. I heard that's a big deal. There are pockets on them, right? NZXT Raspi case when, Raspberry Pi, I think, right? I don't, do they make cases for the Raspberry Pi? Yeah. Someone actually on Reddit a couple years ago made a cool, they made a cool raspberry pie case. I found it here.

I don't think I've ever seen one of those one of those containers with actual, like, food, like things I can eat in them. So that sounds pretty cool. I couldn't lie. All right.
