Starting point is 00:00:05 Yeah, probably one of the slickest transitions, I think I've ever, I've ever heard in terms of a We Shop remix. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's amazing. Hello. That's a mustard on the beat. Young Money on the Beat. Hello, everyone, and welcome to episode 115 of the NXC podcast, the official podcast of the N60 community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a 10-JN Pacific Center time of the official N60 Twitch, perfect timing, and is available to stream on the man on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
Starting point is 00:01:07 So tune in because we'll be right here in our spot with a little bit more cash than we already got tripping off you because you had your shot with our skin, tan, and a hair long and our Twitch followers who've been so patient after a week off. I mean, I've been her back to work, but we still smell like a vacation. We're on one. What's up, everyone? How's it going? What's up, man?
Starting point is 00:01:24 Ours. Yeah, it was good to be on vacation, but it's even better to be back. right Dennis it is I don't know about that it's weird though man like when you work in social
Starting point is 00:01:42 hashtag working social they said like when you work in social it's you're never really on vacation because the second you like
Starting point is 00:01:51 stop keeping an eye on things that's when something happens they have to deal with you know yes sir yeah so even though we were on vacation
Starting point is 00:02:01 you know we were keeping an eye on social mostly responding to people, just having fun. We have a lot of new followers recently. So a lot of these new people did not know that that NZXT does not give away free computers lightly. Never. So I was basically just meming on people for a week telling them,
Starting point is 00:02:21 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah. It was fun. It was a good time, ate a lot of food. What about you, man, what did you do? I mean, I ate a lot of food too. I played a lot of VR games because the Steam sale, like, I sort of like the day we went on vacation, the Steam sale started. And I'm like, well, all these games are now discounted.
Starting point is 00:02:43 So I'm going to buy a bunch of them. So, yeah, I played a lot of VR. I finally got my updated VR headstrap with a built-in battery for extended Better Life because the Quest 2 Better Life is absolute Garbo. It's like two hours, if that. Like, I'd be streaming and I'd be streaming with the headset on. And then all of a sudden, all right, guys, I'm about to do this cool puzzle. Headsad set. Okay, well, I guess that's it.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Let's just watch videos for like an hour. And then I'll just go do something else. Yeah. Yeah, it's been nice. Yeah, it's a lot of food too. Because I work at a computer company, you know, everyone assumes I know everything about computers, which, I mean, I know, I know, obviously I know a lot about computers. I'm not going to lie. but I don't know everything.
Starting point is 00:03:31 And over the Thanksgiving vacation on Thanksgiving, my brother-in-law was asking me some very, like, tough technological questions about VR. And I just told them, I have no idea, man. All I know is that, like, the reason I don't have a VR headset is that there's no game on VR that I actually care enough about that I want to play. But I told them, but VR is cool if you want to get a, VR helmet, you can now get one without having to have like a beefy computer. But if you do want a beefy computer, let me know.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I think I know somewhere where you can get one. That's literally all I know. Well, VR's cool, man. I like VR. It's just, I don't know, there's no game out there that makes me like, oh, I have to play this on VR, you know. It's just, it's, for me, it's still kind of gimmicky, to be honest. Like, I love, I love using it when it's just like, okay, I can go on a rollercoast to the or I can chop some watermelons with a sword and things like that.
Starting point is 00:04:34 But just day to day, like putting on the helmet and playing a video game, doesn't exist for me yet. Yeah, I think, hold on. I mean to change this. There you go. Hold on. Hold on. Brickini news. What, what?
Starting point is 00:04:47 I think the Nasty J here in the chat. I think he's the winner from our legendary Lute giveaway. So good morning, the Nasty J. Oh, are they? That's awesome. That's great. Let's say VR games. So if there is any VR game, I would recommend people check out.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Because I'm also asking in chat. So we're kind of like on the right like, you know, the right kind of conversation here. I would say Lone Echo is a really good one. And the way that that game is what's it about is you're like a robot on like a space station. And shit starts going crazy. And you have to basically almost like repair things and like figure out what's going on. And the way that you move in that game is not like, like the typical, you just like hold the button and you move forward or like you like teleport.
Starting point is 00:05:33 You actually use your arms to like to like push yourself like through zero gravity through the space station. And then there's a lot of like ways to interact with the environment with your hands. Right. So like, you know, there's one where you have to, you have to grab like this core of this power thing that's like breaking. So you have to go in and actually use the VR set, right, with like the grips, whatever. You grab it. You know, you hold the little trigger thingy. You turn it and then you pull it.
Starting point is 00:06:03 So it's, it's, it's, there's a few games like that that make a really good, they make really good use of like what you can do in VR. And then there's another one that's kind of like a, like an escape the room game where, uh, it will make a game space. Um, out of the playable area that you have. So you're like moving around in this little area and like ducking around and like doing really cool stuff. And once you get really immersed, it's awesome because I'm like, oh, there's a thing
Starting point is 00:06:31 there. I got to duck under and then he's like, he moved. It's super cool. Like it was a little glitchy. But yeah. Yeah. I would say for from what I've heard, I actually haven't played it yet. And it should have been like the first game I bought was, is a like half life Alex is
Starting point is 00:06:47 apparently like one of the games you should play in VR just because like it makes use of a lot of the VR stuff and it's like designed with like VR in mind. I would definitely say don't play any game. Oh. No, I was going to say it does look cool, but in my personal opinion, for VR to really take off for a lot of people to really get into, it's going to take a game like Fortnite or PubG or maybe Halo. I think like something that just gets people wanting to compete against each other is going to be the thing that makes people. on you really pick up a VR headset. But Half-Life, Alex does look really cool.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think with something like VR, you need something that's going to tell people or like, can it get people to understand why it's like an important technology or like what it can do, you know? It's like, I'm trying to think. Like, do you remember when like 3D games were a thing, right? For like, do you buy a monitor
Starting point is 00:07:56 that had like 240 hertz refresh rate or something? and you put on these glasses, then you can see your game in like 3D. That stuff is cool, but that's definitely a gimmick because it doesn't change the gameplay. It doesn't do anything different. It doesn't unlock different potentials for gaming.
Starting point is 00:08:11 VR does do that, right? Because with VR, like, once you realize, oh, I can look under something and there's something there, and I kind of do that in a game, right? Like, you know, and like physically duck and like dodge away from stuff is when you really kind of have to understand. But it's hard to, it's hard to articulate like that without actually like trying it and like putting it on and like using it and it's
Starting point is 00:08:33 do this podcast in VR I so we we've been talking about this and I think it'd be hilarious we did a podcast and like VR chat or just like sitting on like couches and I'm like an anime girl and you're like I don't know like a monkey or something like that I'm telling you I want to do like a V-tuber thing yeah that'd be cool so so v-tubers is different than VR v-tuber but I want to do a but I want to do a V-tuber thing I can set up like a like a like a V-tuber face rick's uh thing For myself, you need to have it enabled on your end if you wanted to. But yeah, there's definitely different ways you can do that. We definitely do things to like mess around with this, with this podcast of the formatting
Starting point is 00:09:10 and like how we, how we like represent ourselves on the screen. It'd be cool experiment. Yeah, it's awesome. But other than that, I just really chilled a lot during the break. Because like I normally don't ever take breaks, right? like the any time I would I would take a break would be like to go to Evo or something and that's not really a break because like I'm going on a trip and I'm doing a bunch of stuff there's like the first time I actually didn't do anything for like an entire week and even then did you see street fighters trending today uh over what they're there's trending for me what are they trending about let's see what I just close close I just close close I just click out there's a close I just click I there's a little bit on here yeah I just click I there's a little bit bunch of art for some reason uh sometimes they do that with just like throw stuff out maybe there's like um some sort of like art contest or something because you click on it and it's just
Starting point is 00:10:11 yeah it's a bunch of art yeah so maybe someone's having a hashtag street fighter art contest or something oh yeah it's because the street fighter account retweeted somebody's art and then i think people are just like posting their own art and kind of creating like a thing yeah they were treating a bunch of people's art lately that's actually going to cool yeah there's a lot of really awesome fan-made street fighter art and it's like a very iconic series right also little wayne is trending because because the new album drops tonight will it drop tonight though okay so so as someone who is a huge fan of hip-hop and rap i feel like i'm going to get a flack for this i never understood little wayne like i never got it it never clicked for me why people love lowell wayne so much do i think he's like bad no do i think he's like
Starting point is 00:10:56 one of the greatest maybe maybe but i i just i just personally don't see it maybe it's in his like impact his wordplay is hilarious though his wordplay is is is really funny but like other than that though i i i just i personally i just don't see it someone please tell me what it is about lowing i'll tell you why i like little wayne i don't know this is why he's you know huge but the reason i like little wayne is because i i actually remember when he first started coming up as a rapper yeah he was literally like a 13 year old kid covered in head to toe type that's true that's true yeah yeah he's been around forever yeah it was just super super interesting like he was like the first uh kind of like young dude i ever saw like that like nowadays you know there's tons of like soundcloud
Starting point is 00:11:41 rappers with like face tats yeah that are popular but little wayne honestly i feel like he was the first guy that he's like what this kid's 13 and he's rapping with bird man what the heck is that his dad yeah pretty much yeah yeah really weird and then and then on top of that he definitely had like his own unique style like i've never heard of anyone rap like that ever and then a couple that with the fact that you know he does like totally like random things that a rapper normally doesn't do like even though he sucks a guitar he'll take it on stage and he'll start playing yeah he thought he did something actually he's pretty good at skating now but i remember when he first started learning the skating like
Starting point is 00:12:22 he would upload videos on social media trying to learn how to Ali and like that's awesome he's definitely a unique a unique character and that's a reason I like him just because he's different you know just not like a typical rapper I guess so like that I see but in terms of like his actual
Starting point is 00:12:41 rapping right just just just as a pure rapper I think there are better rappers out there I think there have been better rappers out there and I don't mean like you know oh like in like the two pox and whatever whatever right you know like the really really greats right or or whatever i think it's in general i've never seen him as that amazing of a rapper 50 50 rappers but yeah because i mean i don't like little wayne yeah yeah um yeah uh
Starting point is 00:13:10 trying to think like the one thing i would say that i really enjoy about it makes this is word play right whenever new song drops i'm's in a way for whatever dumb stuff he's gonna do Like I was just listening to On One, he has a Drake, DJ Khalid, and Lowell Wayne And he's like, I'm a maid man, I should dust something I'm like, I get it, right? It's like, to me that's hilarious, right?
Starting point is 00:13:31 Like, that's what he's funny for. We quoted Little Wayne when we hit a million followers on Twitter. Yeah, we did, yeah? We did. We did. Speaking of which, DMC incoming, let's go. This song does slap.
Starting point is 00:13:51 It does. It hits. It hits. Um, yeah, um, I guess music, right? I mean, you know, music, Ivan, what's on your Spotify and rap? Yeah, it's on your Spotify and rap, dude. Let me see what's up. What's on there?
Starting point is 00:14:10 So my number one song last year was Manor Muppet. It's because my daughter fell in love with the Muppets. Yeah, that was our thing song for 2021 for year. but besides that I had a lot of frozen some snow white my top podcast was this Dodgers podcast I listened to locked on Dodgers Troubate came in chat singing Manor Muppet is Godtier It is actually you know it won a Grammy Award
Starting point is 00:14:48 like best best original song in a soundtrack or something like that. It won an award. So it's actually a really good song. My, okay, so that was your top song. What was your top genre? Corridos. Corridos, really?
Starting point is 00:15:06 Yeah. What's your career right now? A lot of Corridos because, growing up, that's what my dad listened to. For those that don't know, a Corrido is like, it's a Mexican folk song. And the way Corridos first started is because back in the day, you know, a lot of,
Starting point is 00:15:25 a lot of people didn't know how to read or write. So these people that did know how to read and write, they would write these stories about real life events. So like they would write, you know, a story about working on a railroad as a bracero or they would write a story about Pancho Villa, things like that, right? And then little by little, like, that became the way people, like, got their information. Like, that's how people found out about news back way back in the day.
Starting point is 00:15:59 And then... It's like a ballad, right? It's a ballad. It's a valid. And then it kind of turned into, like, people commissioning these artists who write songs about them because of really popular style of music. So, like, if you were, let's say, a successful... narco-trappaker you know
Starting point is 00:16:22 you wanted a song written about you you contact one of these guys and like hey I want I'll pay $100 to write a song about yeah they write a currido
Starting point is 00:16:31 and then you know like they would play at parties and the song gets famous and that person gets famous off of that right
Starting point is 00:16:37 yeah what's your career curio right now well I don't like the new style of Corrido okay the Corrido tombado
Starting point is 00:16:45 movement not a big fan of that same I agree it's the guitars are lit though dude the guitar is awesome the guitars are Siri yeah when they start singing when they start singing they lose me you know like like like when it's like soila 69 i'm not into that at all yeah but the guitar is lit the music is lit it's just the lyrics I definitely do not like uh at all
Starting point is 00:17:08 I'm much like the old courteos like you know uh Carlos and Jose Antonio Aguilad stuff like that old school what's a what's a good song So the people can know what we're talking about because I'm pretty sure like 90% of the people here are not Hispanic Play a soila 69. Oh god, no. But I will though just like people get an idea what it is. So this is like the new star right here. It's very loud. I was actually at a flea market. They're playing this. See the guitar is awesome. Yeah. The guitar like this. Yeah, but this song is trash though. Like the actual girl singing it's so bad. Horrible. I have seen your interviews. It's so great.
Starting point is 00:17:52 She's like, yeah, like, I'm real, you know, I'm like, super curio. I love La Mota. I love, I love, what did you say? It's just dumb. Serbuchana or whatever dumb stuff she says. But like, some of the songs are actually really, really good. I'm trying to think of a good one. I actually kind of do like listening to Narco Ocaridos, just because of the stories are so nuts, right?
Starting point is 00:18:14 Like, he's crazy. It's like watching, it's like watching like a Narcos TV show. watching like good fellows you know it's those are true stories and uh yeah my favorite my favorite currido of all time is the courri de los peres uh i am i am one one quarter one quarter peres so i i do like who's uh who's the artist there's a lot of them on here there's a ton it's an old song the song is over a hundred years old um okay i see this is this is this is this this is this is this is so quick That's a jam.
Starting point is 00:18:53 This reminds you of being with like my family late at night by a bonfire. And everyone's just like super just like buzzed. In 1912. So I'm gonna tell you a story that happened in 1912. They killed two brothers and also their cousin. Keep going, keep going. It was April 20th on the Thursday around 3 p.m. Mariano Perez died because a coward killed him with his hands.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Ooh, there you go. Coward killed them. Yeah. It's really cool to hear some of the stories in these songs because like, when I was a kid, it was just music, right? And then like, as I got older and actually listened to lyrics, I'm like, oh, they're actually talked about some like real stuff. And the way Accurredo is written, it's very specific. There's stanzas of like 16, it's like 16 lines have to rhyme or something, like every 16th line or something like it has to rhyme. rhyme. It's like a poem, to be honest. That's what it is, but with music. So it's cool. I mean,
Starting point is 00:20:07 true stories. So yeah, that's my, that's my top genre. But besides that, it's also, I think it was, was it New Wave? New Wave. I listen to a lot of 80s music. Yeah. Classic rock. I listen to a lot of 70s rock. Alternative, I think. I listen to a lot of 80s alternative as well, or 90s alternative. Yeah. My Spotify top genres was all over the place this year. First one is Dance Pop, which isn't actually Dance Pop. It's Europop. But for some reason, first off, let me just say this. The art for this stuff is really ugly. And I'm pretty sure it's like on purpose or something. Maybe I don't want to log in this thing. Let me just look at Spotify wrapped. Because it'll just give you a good example of what it looks like if you haven't seen it. But this is an awesome radio, by the way. The art is gross. I don't know who designed this, but I'm pretty sure it's on purpose to get people talking about it because it's like one of the top comments I'm saying is like, why does this look so ugly for? But here it is, right? Here it looks like it looks really weird.
Starting point is 00:21:11 It doesn't make any sense to me. But my top genres were dance pop, punk, gangster rap, new metal and gumia. So I was like really and like, I'm getting old now. Let me listen to the stuff we used to listen to. But the dance pop is in dance pop. They, they bundled in Europop and with dance pop. For you guys to know what Europop is. It's basically stuff like iPhone 65, Gigi Agostino, like DJ Sammy,
Starting point is 00:21:37 just basically like any European like dance hit from like the 2000s. Even though the art sucks, I do like how they do the stories. Yeah. Because they play music on top of it. So literally when I opened up my Spotify wrapped on my phone, the first thing I heard is, ha ha, this is kind of wow. Because that was like my most played album of the year. So that was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:22:01 It was playing the the Fou Cumbia. The Fou Cumbia, yeah. So example of dance pop. And you guys should know this song. But this is my top song of the year was actually this one, which makes sense because I banged this song so hard. Just like the last couple months. Every time, dude, every time.
Starting point is 00:22:25 I hear this and he's just like, I'm like floating, you know. It's like a SpongeBob. we're like like is they flying to the sky right and then let's see my second song was stone love by pepper I don't know why but I guess I was really into that that reggae song for a minute which is funny because it didn't pop up in my top genres then number three which honestly should have been number one is Wesley's theory by Kendrick Lamar it's the opening track to Dimp a butterfly which you haven't heard is a is a fantastic song just it is like perfectly produced
Starting point is 00:22:58 chaos with amazing lyrics and really good sampling and it's just it's just oh my god it's so good and then the fourth is uh which i'm going to play this one because we're playing hispanic music and a lot of people probably haven't heard it before uh this was my fourth top song which is a cumbia he just can he can't he can't mess with this up dude my socks stay high bro my sock stay high. Yeah. No, yeah. Whenever a cumbia comes on, it's like immediately time to dance in my house, dude.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Me and my wife, my daughter, like, we just like, oh, hey, hey, hey, hey. Like, you cannot dance to that music. Yeah, really good stuff. Yeah, and I think, I think was my most binged artist was JZ because I've never been a real big JZ fan. Again, this is just me like really bad takes on hip-hop, right? I feel like his bars and it had been that great. I feel like his beats never been that great, right?
Starting point is 00:23:59 But I actually listened to 444, and it is a fantastic album. Because it's not like a typical I'm a JZ album. It's like, I'm JZ the person. I'm JZ, the husband, I'm JZ, the father. I'm like JZ. The dude is screwed up a lot. Let me tell you about all the times I screwed up. And to me that's really good, because I really like the more, I don't say real,
Starting point is 00:24:21 but the more like honest, less like braggadocious, more like, insightful stuff. Because like, yeah. Sorry, no, go ahead. Yeah, this is good. I was going to say, I definitely don't think he's like a great rapper, but I do like some of his workplace. Oh, for sure. For sure, for sure, yeah. I like when he said, I'm not a businessman.
Starting point is 00:24:42 I'm a business man. I love that. Bars. Hold up. Can you say that one more time? I'm not a businessman. I'm a businessman. There we go.
Starting point is 00:24:58 So yeah, Spotify and rap pretty good. Jay Z, all right. Shout out to the one guy at NZXT who had Logic as like his top artist of the year, which at the time. That's Joe, Joe Norton. It's Joe Norton. Yeah, yeah. He was on the podcast. So if you guys want to know why the, so he actually works on the UI and UX for Cam, right?
Starting point is 00:25:23 I'm pretty sure he's still doing that, right? So if you guys want to know why Cam U.S. UX looks the way it does. Just know that the guy who's making it is listening to logic the whole time. Who can relate? Bobby Tarantino. Bobby Tarantino. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:25:43 So yeah, I mean, that was, you know, it was fun. You know, have a week off, listen to a bunch of music, eating food, playing video games, you know, just live in life. I don't think I did anything like, quote unquote, productive. But it was nice to not do anything productive, just to relax and have a life. for a minute. I screwed up big time on my break though with the Christmas lights. Oh yeah? What'd you do?
Starting point is 00:26:04 Yeah. So every year I, well, not every year. Like recently, ever since I had a kid, like I try to make Christmas very, very special for my daughter. So this year I decided I'm going to go all out with Christmas lights. So I have this fence that goes all around my house. And I have a pretty big yard, actually. So it's a lot of lights. I think it's like, maybe like six strands of lights that go around this fence.
Starting point is 00:26:32 And that was no problem. But then I decided, well, that looks really cool. Let me put up lights all around the house now. So I go, and I love the old school Christmas lights, right? Like the big teardrops, basically. Yeah. So I went to Lowe's, bought a bunch of those, and I wrapped them all around my house. And as soon as I, um,
Starting point is 00:26:57 I plugged them in, like they turned on and turned off. And I'm like, great. Like, I know I did something wrong. And I had spent, like, honestly, like, maybe four or five hours putting them up. Because I had to go on the roof and everything, you know. And it was actually really dangerous. So I'm like, great. And I have to go back up there and check out what's wrong.
Starting point is 00:27:17 So I go up there. And then I look at the box for the Christmas lights. And I realized, oh, great. I bought the wrong lights. I bought incandescent lights, which you can only have. two strands on one outlet and I had eight strands on one outlet so I literally like blew out all the Christmas lights so I took him all down that took me like another like two hours and then I put him back in the in the original packaging trying
Starting point is 00:27:44 to make it look as new as possible and I go back to Loz and I'm like hey man I need to I need to return these like why what's wrong with them and I was like oh no I just got the wrong one like okay they didn't even check So then I exchanged them for the LED lights. The next morning, spend another four or five hours, putting all those up again. But now I work thankfully. Are LEDs, do they look different?
Starting point is 00:28:13 Like, if like- They are not as bright, but you can literally connect as many as you want, like on a single outlet. Well, not as many. I think the limits like, so it's ridiculous amount. Like you're never gonna. Yeah. go over. I think it's like I can connect like 64 strands of LED lights together and I had you know two strands with the ones I bought.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Yeah. Yeah. So that was my little Christmas light adventure. Yeah. I was like super sore man like I I went through good with him. I when on Thanksgiving day my mom's like why are you limping? Like I spent the last two days on the roof of my house putting on Christmas lights. I literally put him up twice basically. Yeah. I uh, I don't know what we're going to do here in the apartment for Christmas because there isn't a lot of like there's not a lot of room for anything. And like what I see people do is it like dress up their balconies, but I never grow out there, dude, it's too nays the outside. I just keep that door closed. The windows cracked, you know, to look like air circulate and stuff like that. But other than that, like, I don't really use that space for anything.
Starting point is 00:29:19 It's too many people who just look at what I'm doing for me to be comfortable being on the balcony. But yeah, I've seen people do like, um, the. The big thing at like apartment complexes from what I notice is like having like a new, a new like welcome mat and then a new like door decorations like a wreath. One of our neighbors has the nightmare for Christmas wreath. You know, like the teeth and stuff. Yeah. It's cool. I mean, it's plastic, right, but it's cool.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I'm trying to convince my wife to let me buy this super expensive peanuts nativity set. Really? Why? Yeah. I love the peanuts, man. And, um, like I got into peanuts. this year with my daughter so it's cool like imagine like Charlie Brown is Joseph Lucius Mary Snoopy as like a shepherd like a little baby Jesus in there I don't
Starting point is 00:30:09 know just I think it'd be cool but it's like 200 something dollars Jesus why it's so expensive for that it's nice it's actually really nice I'll mark one I think I'm sure they're like anime nativity scenes right anime nativity scene that that's a big one Jojo's as baby Jesus Little baby Jojo Yeah Baby Jojo That's really good
Starting point is 00:30:32 Oh man Well speaking of Christmas Ivan Would you like to get into the first topic The first news topic So we got news today Yeah we got news today guys Just remember whenever it's me and Ivan
Starting point is 00:30:43 We always got some news to talk about What do we got Ivan What's the first item on the news So the first news item on today's news is Democrats have pushed the bill to outlaw bots from snapping, snatching up online goods. And the best thing about this whole story is not the fact that they're targeting
Starting point is 00:31:04 these bots, but it's the fact that this new bill is called the Stop Grinch Bots Act. Which is like, that's like the best name ever for any sort of bill. You know, they're calling these guys, these scalpers, I guess, grinches, which I guess a good name for them, right? because they're stealing everyone's joy, which is graphics cards. Yeah, I don't know how you can stop that, though. I'm not sure what the, how not allowing bots.
Starting point is 00:31:41 They had to do something, man. It's out of control. No, it is. It is. Yeah, yeah, it is. I'm going to actually show you this video. I saw the craziest video yesterday. It's like I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:31:56 It's not like five minutes long, is it? No, it's like someone posted this on Reddit. Why they are making the software illegal? Why is that specific Democrats? Because they, that's literally the people who are pushing the bill are Democratic legislators. That's why. I'm going to send it to you on this for it. It's in the article.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Yeah. Play this video. It's the craziest looking like mining farm I've ever seen. Hold that. Let me, let me throw this up here real quick. What is this? Holy crap. Yeah. What the heck? You guys can't get a video card now you know why. How much do you think that whoever paid for those parts paid?
Starting point is 00:32:42 That's the, each one of those racks has like a dozen GPUs. And there must be, I don't know, at least a, at least, at least. at least 100 racks there, 100 times 12. That's like at least, there's at least 1,000 graphics cards out there. And yeah, I mean, people like this, they're using bots. Or I don't know if these people are using bots, but I kind of feel like these people that have render,
Starting point is 00:33:13 or not render farms, like mining farms like this, I think they must be getting them directly from the graphics cars manufacturers, because I can't fathom. You're just using a bot to secure all these graphics cards. So the stop Grinch bill or whatever the heck it's called, it's a good thing. But then I don't think it's going to solve the problem because, like I said, I think the people that are actually making these mining farms with like a thousand graphics cards,
Starting point is 00:33:42 they're probably not using bots to get graphics cards. Yeah, it's a lot of people in chat and a lot of people like on this. on the set of saying that a lot of these are like through deals with wholesalers, stuff like that, which I forget who it was. And I'm not going to look it up because I'm too lazy to do it. But I know there's been like a couple of like distributors, like third parties who've gotten in trouble for like just selling off to like, basically people like this who are like offering them like ungodly amounts of money for it. Because I mean, there is a lot of money to be made, right?
Starting point is 00:34:15 There's like a lot of money made in like scalping and mining and stuff like that. So, you know, where there's a way listing we shared on the last podcast. So someone was selling a lot of like a thousand GPUs for like half a million dollars with free shipping or something. Yeah. They think it lives like that. Yeah. They're just saying, here in India, if you want a GPU, the shop needs to buy like 10 cases or motherboard or something. You can't just buy GPU stock.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Yeah. It sucks. You know, and it sucks, obviously, because we're a company that makes gaming computers and you kind of need graphics cards to play video games on a gaming PC. And, you know, like these. bots, these scalpers, these miners or whatever, driving the price up of graphics cards, which means we have to charge more for the computers as well because we have to pay more for the graphics cards too.
Starting point is 00:35:04 It's not easy for us to get either. Yeah, and I think that's what people kind of fail to realize, like, well, not all people, but like a certain number of person who doesn't look at news and kind of think of things within context. Like, yeah, this doesn't affect just consumers. It's effects, you know, like system integrators like us. It affects, you know, all the people who want to use these video cards for like, you know, actual purposes, you know. Back in the day, we would literally just have like a distribution, you know, like supply chain set up where we know would be getting X amount of video cards at X amount of price, you know, at a certain point in time.
Starting point is 00:35:39 So we can kind of like adjust our sales based on that, right? And then during the pandemic, that all broke down because nobody can get anything because we're shipping infrastructure is messed up. And then, you know, adding onto that, you have people who are, you know, like folks are saying here in chat and they're saying, you know, in this article here, they have deals with these distributors who are offering way more money that we probably would ever feel comfortable doing. So it's like, you know, you're competing in like 50 different like, you know, fronts just to get one piece of component to keep your business going for people who want to buy stuff from you. It's, it's dumb. And it's, and there's something that I think we talked about when we first like kind of talked about the trouble. that we're having. It's not just one distributor.
Starting point is 00:36:22 It's not just one wholesaler. It's like multiple ones. So the pricing fluctuates so much because some of them are like, now we'll just give you the price we're going to give it to you at. And others are like, well, we need to make up the extra money from what we're not selling, right? Jay's two cents. And I'm always referencing Jay because his is really fantastic, well-written, very concise videos. As I like about Jay, his videos are very concise.
Starting point is 00:36:43 So they don't drag on. And he kind of explained why things are so expensive. supply chain stuff, the need for these distributors and wholesalers to raise their prices to just for all this stuff. It's nuts. You know, it's crazy. Yeah. And that's, you know, part of the reason why we came out with the foundation PC a couple weeks ago. Yes, sir. Is because... Hashtag ad. Yeah. I mean, it's not a good pad, but it's like...
Starting point is 00:37:10 A lot of people don't realize that there's this other way to play video games and that's with the APU, which is like an onboard. graphics on a CPU and you don't need a graphics card to play some not I don't want to say it's like better than playing with the graphics card but definitely not yeah if you can't get your hands on a graphics card you can still play video games with an APU and it's not that bad it's not the best but it's not that bad it's not the worst either yeah there is um there's a ticot creator named uh i think tony tech bytes that we sent uh our foundation PCU too and he was just like testing the games that we have on our website and the people are like
Starting point is 00:37:52 we'll try some other games like okay so he tried a couple of the games and he's like the performance for not having GPU he's like it's not that bad i think he was able to get what he's able to get like 30 to 40 frames in war zone on like all low which sounds like nothing and it is but considering there's no graphics card in that computer he's just running off the APU it's actually kind of line-blowing obviously you want to have a 2080 TI yeah for words whatever and the Mac settings but you know you can't get that right now then I think a an APU powered PC like the foundation computer we got would be a a passable alternative while the graphics card situation settles down and who knows maybe a year from now
Starting point is 00:38:36 you'll be able to get a graphics card at retail price and just pop it right in there and then you're back in business right yes sir and also the the steam deck is APU. Yeah. I'm starting to think that maybe these game developers might start designing games around the fact that there's going to be people playing on APUs as well. So maybe in a couple years, you know, APU gaming will be on par with GPU gaming. You never know.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Yeah, someone was asking what's the most powerful APU? I don't know, but we're using the, let me go through here, the Risen 5600G. And just looking at the list of other ones, it looks like there's like a 5700, it writes to 7, 5700 G. I'm not sure the difference is. So I'm sure someone who knows way more about APUs can tell us in the chat.
Starting point is 00:39:28 But yeah, no. So Skywind here is asking, can you play cyberpunk on an app? And the answer is, yes, Google Stadia. I'm serious. I'm not even joking. You're saying APU, but I get what you're saying. Cyberpunk on Stadia runs flawless.
Starting point is 00:39:44 All you need is fast internet. Yeah. What I also think, too, is like a really good, and this is literally not an ad, but something that actually mentioned in like a marketing meeting the other day, I was like, the reason why I actually liked the foundation PC is because it's under $1,000. And since the beginning of the pandemic, we have not had a computer that's been under $1,000. And that's like one of the big complaints that we've had, right? And it's like when the, when the GPU ends up being like three-fourths of the price of the whole damn computer, like what the heck can you do, right? Like, what's the MSRP in a 16th? 60 super let me look at this 1660 super MSRP I'm looking up right now it's supposed to be 180 pounds 229 bucks yeah that's not what they're selling for that's not that's not that's not what that's not what you're able to buy them for let me see it's 1660 super I don't look at it up quick I was really curious what I can buy one for I'm just go to Google shopping uh 351 dollars okay $578 off of stock X.
Starting point is 00:40:49 You got a love stock X for enabling all this stuff. New Egg has it for $899. Yeah, that's like triple the price. It's ridiculous. Yeah. I definitely need our new breakfast card now, man. My super mega baseball is barely talking along on my 970. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:41:07 It's time to kill cloud gaming, dude. Do cloud game it? All right. Next article, why this is not too? tweet correctly. Okay, so this one's actually gaming related and there's a lot to talk about with this. It is. So EA shakes up battlefield with dice head leaving, respawns Vince Zampella taking over franchise. It's pretty huge news. So as everybody knows, there's been a lot of conversation around battlefield and the state of the game. Personal, personal opinion, I'm okay with it. I enjoy the
Starting point is 00:41:39 game. I've always been a battlefield fan. I knew what is getting into. I feel like every battlefield like launches the same. If you don't wait for reviews, is kind of on you, right? I'm going to say, as a consumer, always wait, always way, always wait on any game. Doesn't matter what it is. Give it like a week. And people instantly know if the game's good or there's issues or it's just not fun. But the fact that they're bringing on the head of respawn to work on the Ballyfield franchise is pretty crazy, actually. Because I think like respawn's been doing really, really well for EA, right? I mean, Apex is like kicking a lot of butt. Jedi Fallen Order was a fantastic game.
Starting point is 00:42:13 If you haven't played Jedi Fallen Order, I highly recommend it. super, super fun. You know, and it's, you know, there's been a lot of news about, you know, like, what's been going on at, like, Dice and EA, you know, I'm not going to comment on that because I can't, because I don't know, right? It's a lot of, like, you know, he said, she said kind of stuff. But, you know, hopefully this means good things for the franchise. And, you know, hopefully, you know, the game gets better.
Starting point is 00:42:35 And I know they just dropped like a giant patch today, too, fixing like a bunch of stuff. So what I will say, you know, as someone who is playing the game, that they're like fixing stuff really, really quickly. The level of communication this time around, then the battlefield team has been like, Chef's Kiss. It's great. Like, you love to see them just talk so much about what they're doing, what their plans are, what they're fixing, what they want to fix, like that they're actually listening to people. I've never, so someone in chat said something. They're saying, uh, they said, did they fix the rifle bloom? They supposedly did. I'm going to say this. I've never had a problem. My shots always, they always land. Your boy don't miss.
Starting point is 00:43:15 I don't miss 360 no scope 260 no scoping dude it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's run around and do stuff and like shoot it tanks and be a tank and be an airplane or whatever like that's where I find the enjoyment in the game you know
Starting point is 00:43:32 just like with like every battle field game I played since like 1942 you know they always add stuff you know as the game goes on and they make it better and make changes I'll say 1942 is my favorite battlefield by the way
Starting point is 00:43:45 that theme was lit dude the original battlefield theme I wish I I wish they brought it back um was it a I remember was it battlefield three or like Battlefield four were like
Starting point is 00:43:58 the theme which is like a bunch of buzzes right it was like I don't remember this is funny stuff so yeah just you know something I wanted to talk about for a second
Starting point is 00:44:09 you know hopefully they you know they they keep keep working on the game and hopefully they add Battlefield 2142 stuff to portal because that's my personal favorite
Starting point is 00:44:20 Batteville games, 2142. I'm trying for EA because they recently purchased my favorite video game. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, they, what's the developer's name that they bought? Metalhead. Metalhead, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:35 He makes Super Mega Baseball. It's an awesome name, right? It is actually a pretty good name. What do they think they're going to do with Super Mega Baseball? Like, they bought them. I think they're just, gonna I think they're just going to let Metalhead do what they do because the beauty about
Starting point is 00:44:52 Super Mega Baseball is that it doesn't have an MLB license. Yeah. So that's why it's kind of like kind of goofy in the sense that it has a goofy name, it has goofy characters, the players look a little cartoonish. But the gameplay mechanics, it's actually very on par with the only game that does have an MLB license, which is MLB the show. And that one's not available on PC. So I think they're just going to release Super Mega Baseball 4 as a competitor to the show. You know, I don't really think they need to get an MLB license or anything like that because that's what the show is.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I'm confident they're not going to like destroy the game or anything like that. And, you know, people are always fearful, like, Oh, they're going to add micro transactions and all this, but I love that. Sorry, I love that stuff. I love, I love paying for skins because to me it's fun. Like, it's fun. Like, if I can pay, you know, $5 and make my baseball team look a different way that I like, I'm all for that. I'm not against micro transactions like that. I think that that adds to the gameplay experience in my opinion. I'm just, what I don't like, though, is like the, the, micro transactions where you have to pay to win basically yeah which you know I don't think they're gonna do that but if they add skins and whatnot like I'm all for that yeah or maybe like you know like a like an expansion pack right mm-hmm like something that like normally as a small studio you couldn't really do because more more stadiums yeah things like that'd be cool different types of bats batting
Starting point is 00:46:37 gloves you know like that'd be cool someone in chat said Morwin horse armor which is first off it was oblivion they had the horse armor and wouldn't you like if you were one of the original developers working on that horse armor and saw how much hate you got and just seeing like you're paying $20 for a skin and like legal legends I'd be pretty pissed it's like really you guys complained about horse armor and you're buying you know skin for like five inch a pixel it's just is literally way ahead of their time dude so ahead of the time I remember the amount of hate people got from that horse armor stuff and then they just like didn't didn't release it for whatever the price was
Starting point is 00:47:11 and now we're you know we've come back full circle and people are buying these expensive ass skins for their games battle passes right all that stuff how much how much how much how much was a horse armor how much was the oblivion horse armor let's say uh oblivion dev is sorry not sorry for horse armor oh it was only two dollars dude it was two dollars two dollars for horse armor nowadays nowadays i'd be like 20 bucks. I've not a shame to admit. I've probably spent more money on skins than video games, to be honest. I was hardcore into CSGO skins, man, and I was using skins to gamble on matches. You know, like, to me that was fun. Like, I love betting skins on CSGO matches. I was really bummed when all that stuff went away. Skin betting. Yeah, it was fun for me. It was cool. Like, I, I, I,
Starting point is 00:48:13 I enjoyed it. For me, it was just as fun as playing the game, to be honest, was betting on those skins. It just adds another layer to the competition, right? Yeah, it's fun, man. Yeah. Like, I'm of the opinion that gambling, gambling makes competitive things more fun and entertaining to watch.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Even if you bet a dollar on a basketball game, you're going to be more into that game. and be more excited when people score and whatnot if you can get a dollar you know or if you can lose a dollar you know it just makes it more interesting yeah where where i do think gambling um you know is bad is like if you're betting your mortgage and you can't pay your bills and yeah no for sure you your wife divorces you and your kids have to drop out of college because you can't pay their tuition and things like that obviously like that's super bad i don't think people should do that call 1-800 gambler if you have a problem. But in general, man, like skins and games, I'm all four.
Starting point is 00:49:22 And, like, especially if you can use those skins to make the game a little bit more competitive. Like, I don't see nothing wrong with that. Yeah. The way that I kind of go about buying skins and stuff is, like, as a way to, like, show continual support to a developer. So, for example, like, one of my favorite games right now is Hunt Showdown. And they don't, they don't gate any content. But they do sell hell of skins, right? Like, I feel like every other week is like a new skin coming out for that game.
Starting point is 00:49:47 And it's like five, six bucks and I'll just buy it. Like, I have no problem spending money on a cool skin, you know, just for, just for, you know, to show support. Like, I remember when I was playing League of Legends, right? You don't really have to pay for anything in that game if you don't want to, you know? Yeah, you don't have to. Yeah, that's the other beauty about skins. If you, if you don't like them, you don't want to, you don't want to pay more money for them, then don't. Like, no one's forcing you to do it.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Yeah. Yeah. If you know, like, for example, like Battlefield, since you're talking about Battlefield. Yeah. So many people are talking negative about the game, like, fine, don't play it, right? Like if you don't want to play it and don't, like, we're having this Battlefield PC giveaway and some people are commenting like, you know, too bad the rap isn't for a better game.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Well, guess what? If you don't like the game and don't like the rap, going into the giveaway, like you don't have to. It's an option, right? It's a. And I feel the same about skin. Like if you're anti-skin, anti-Machore transactions and all that, then don't do it. It's like not a requirement for you to do that stuff to enjoy a game, right? So while I do inherently agree with you, I think that there are a lot of mechanisms, a lot of mechanisms in placing these games to entice you to buy these games, right?
Starting point is 00:51:02 With like, you know, FOMO, they're like limited. like the one example would have that I really don't like personally is like the way the fortnight does like the skin sales right a lot of them are like limited time you know there's like a rotating you know thing of skins where you can only get them if you buy them here or you can only get them during the battle pass which to me i'm not a fan of because like i don't want to have to pay so much to get to that level or i don't want to play 50 hours do all these challenges that i'm really bad at because i suck at the game to get the skin um but you know that's kind of like how they how they do it, right?
Starting point is 00:51:36 Invalent guns actually change the way the gun feels slash shoots. Yeah, that's that's no way. I'm not down for that. Camp bicycle trooper, exactly. Breaking news, Dennis, can you play me some breaking news music? I don't have anything. Hold up. Let me.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Breaking news. Sound effect. Let me see. I guess this works. This is just turn, ladies and gentlemen, to the NZXT news studio. The NZXT subreddit has just hit 100,000 subscribers. Oh, hey, nice. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Yeah, you read it. It's funny because just yesterday you were asking me, like, who's retail? Because he's like the owner of the subreddit. Oh, yeah. He doesn't work at NZXT, but so retail, his name's Rob. He was the first guy ever hired at NZXT, and he was hired as a teenager because he was running this NZXT message work. on his own because he was an NZXT fan
Starting point is 00:52:37 and Johnny gave him a job and he started his subreddit like I don't know like 10 years ago I guess and he's always been the owner of the subreddit and yeah congratulations Rob you hit
Starting point is 00:52:53 Congrats Rob let's go Rob that's funny and by the way like I am really I've been really enjoying our subreddit lately because people are posting a lot of cool stuff on there. So if you are not a member of our sub,
Starting point is 00:53:15 R slash MZXT, go show off your builds and whatnot. I think we should do more on Reddit. I know when you first started Dennis, we used to do a lot more on Twitter. I used to do like weekly contests and things like that. So people didn't do them, that's why. Yeah, we didn't.
Starting point is 00:53:29 I think people just go on there because they kind of, I feel like people don't really want brands on Reddit, to be honest. They kind of want to just mingle amongst themselves. Yeah, but it's a dumb idea because it's not how the internet works, right? Like, a lot of people think Reddit is like this save haven where companies don't exist, and it's like the exact opposite. Like so much, so much stuff is like AstroTripped on Reddit, it's ridiculous. But anyway, go on. Sorry. I'm, it's a little salty. Yeah, like I go on there every day. I upvote stuff. I downvote stuff, not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Yeah. But I definitely, you know, comment on people's builds and stuff like that. Right now, like the hottest post right now, someone posted a video of Goku, kid Goku training on the cracking. I'm going to show it right now. Here we go. I love seeing this sort of stuff. Oh, there's music too, too.
Starting point is 00:54:25 Hey. That's awesome. I love the original Dragon Ball. It's so fun. Such a good show. I like it more than Dragon Ball Z. Just saying. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:40 A little video edit there. Yeah. Well, yeah. Thank you, everyone who is a member of our subreddit. And now we are officially 100,000 on every platform we're on at least 100,000. We hit TikTok a couple weeks ago and now Reddit. Is time for a giveaway? No, I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:55:00 I'm kidding. Time to give away a stick. Let's do it. So I wanted to. I wanted to continue on what you were saying, kind of add on to that a little bit. I too do enjoy the NSXT subreddit. I think it's gotten a lot better, a lot more positive, a lot more fun. I will say, though, the one thing I did not like, and I made a video about this,
Starting point is 00:55:21 is this one guy posted a what I thought was a really, really cool build, and it was like an anime build, and the amount of hate that this person got, not just on our subreddit, but other subreddits about this build, really made me upset because I'm like, dude, like, you you can't be like gatekeeping you know anything when you're a computer nerd this is be 100% right if you know at all like what ram frequency is just shut up right like shut up um so this guy got so loud this guy made this thing so what we did is we took his video right we posted it on our on our ticot because we thought it was great added some music to it literally banned a bunch
Starting point is 00:56:01 of people right it's like if you're if you're going to be acting like this right on our subreddit you can go somewhere else right and the funny thing is like i actually um the guy's build is in a lee and lee oh eleven dynamic i think or it might be a mini and uh when you posted it the same thing happened right people was giving this guy like a bunch of shit because it was like an anime theme uh like build and they literally said we don't care if you don't like anime stop reporting this you know if you don't like anime go away uh so yeah this a cool build I think is dope. Yeah, and we share this on Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
Starting point is 00:56:38 The first time we've ever posted a computer that wasn't in an NGXT case. Yeah. It didn't matter because it's not about the case. It's not about even like the Cracken being in there. It's the fact that, you know, someone has an awesome setup and just because you don't like it, like you should not quote unquote discriminate against things. because they are good-un-co-ha fan yeah so like so dumb it's just no just I always say like computer parts are like pizza toppings they're all good so just order what you want
Starting point is 00:57:13 enjoy your slice and let everyone enjoy theirs so yeah some like pepperoni some like pineapple some like anchovies whatever it doesn't matter as long as we're all enjoying the pizza that's what's important so yeah just let let everyone be and and be nice yes I would I am the kind of person who will go both and beyond to spite the haters by giving this person as much attention as it possibly can if you're being like a butt about this stuff like 100 percent so that's like I told I'm my hey just so you know dude I'm going to take this video I'm going to throw up on TikTok right we're going to talk about it we're going to post it everywhere we're going to hype this dude up we're going to ban a bunch of people because the last thing I want is
Starting point is 00:57:52 any kind of like negativity when it comes to like you know computer parts yeah it's like you're a nerd come on. Yeah, all pizza is good. Even like the worst pizza in the world is still delicious. To somebody. Yeah. Maybe not to you, but there's somebody, yeah. Somebody likes it.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Not a good. It's world's best pizza, by the way. World's best pizza is very good. Except it gets cold. ZXT, uh, NZT homies work for. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Um, next topic is, you want to talk about Simon? You want me to talk about it? Let me pull it up. Uh, no, he, talk about it. All right. So this is actually kind of hilarious. So as this is from your gamer.net, as Halo Infinite cheating begins, console players call on 343 to let them disable crossplay. So apparently in Halo Infinite, you cannot disable crossplay. It's on by default. And as people know, the majority of cheaters tend to be on PC because it's a much easier to crack open platform.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Right. It's just a fact. But this this like crossplay debate isn't new. It's actually happening for a little bit now and I think it started with like fortnight I think fortnight was you know people talk crap on fortnight but it was like one of the first games have really pushed like cross play and like just being quote-un-unquote open cries and Rocket League yeah that's true but rockily was never as big as fortnight was right like fortnight made moves they had like the cloud and the weight to move stuff around but I know that like the advantage was that fortnight has always been free whereas Rocket League became free after like a couple years yeah so like I remember
Starting point is 00:59:28 the like debate against crossplay on fortnight uh because apparently if you like spam like the left trigger to like zoom in on a gun or to like aim down sites it would like activate um the the aim assist on controller right and apparently if you just kept doing that it kind of like gave you almost almost like aim hacks in a sense it's yeah it was it's it's pretty funny so you know there's like a lot of conversation around is crossplay actually good um I know that there was another video I saw about crossplay where apparently people who are playing the halo on PC or having trouble playing against people who have really aggressive aim assist on console, right? Which is for some people, you know, it's like, you know, I'm not as accurate on a controller. And for other people, it's like it's an, it's a accessibility issue, right?
Starting point is 01:00:19 Like, I need it so I can play. So it's one of those things where like it's going to hard to like balance out. But in this instance, apparently it's like a lot of hackers in a free. free-to-play shooter, which always happens if it's a free-to-play game. And people are saying, let me turn off the crossplay. So you can just play with other console owners or Xbox owners. So I don't have to worry about the cheating that's happening on PC. What do you think about this, Ivan?
Starting point is 01:00:44 So the way I think about crossplay, because my favorite game is actually cross-pay compatible, Super Mega Baseball. And I played it on Switch and PC. So my whole opinion on crossplay is I feel like it's a good thing overall because you know you can play
Starting point is 01:01:07 like the people that might not have the same platform as you right you can play with that which is great but at the same time you know PC does have the advantage for a lot of different reasons and I'll use a super big of baseball example Like on Super Mega Baseball on my PC, I play competitively.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Like I play against other people online and I'm onto like this like, you know, tournament system they have called Pennant Race. And I try to like, I try my best on there. And I take it very seriously. But then when I play on my switch, I lower my ego. I don't play against others.
Starting point is 01:01:51 I basically use it as batting practice, to be honest. It's just for me to just chill on my bed before I go to sleep and just hit some dingers. Because the reason is because the game is vastly superior on the computer. And I know, and every time I play against, every time I get matched up with someone on the PC and it says like they're playing on a different platform, not just Switch, but whether it's Xbox or PlayStation, I already know, all right, I'm probably going to have a little bit in advantage because I'm on PC and there's no way to disable that like I can't just I can't just click a button to say like I only want to play against PC or I only want to play against Switch or I only want to play against whatever and I think that's what they should do to these games is if you're playing on on Xbox or PlayStation or Switch or PC or whatever stadia you name it they should just give you the option like do you want to be matched up against every type of
Starting point is 01:02:51 of platform or you just want to play against people that are on the same thing that you are to make it more balance. Yeah. Do you only want, or like in Super Mega Baseball, for example, when you play the online Pennant Race mode, you have to use a controller. You can't use a keyboard in balance. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:09 They don't give you that choice. That's weird. I don't like that at all. It isn't, it isn't, but they're trying to make it balance, right? They don't want to give anyone an unfair advantage, which I think it's the right move. Like if you're going to enable cross-place, you know, it's a little bit of play, you do have to kind of make a little bit of an effort, in my opinion, to make it more balanced because especially like PC, like there's PCs, I was going to have an advantage
Starting point is 01:03:30 because, yeah, it's easier to hack. It's easier to do all this other stuff on there. Sometimes. Sometimes. Sometimes. Sometimes. You know, keyboard and mouse being more accurate than a controller and things like that. You know, it's, it is better.
Starting point is 01:03:42 So maybe they should try to make it a little bit more balanced. Yeah. I think it's like I don't know how you balance that right. because I don't think anybody can argue that like inherently playing on the keyboard or mouse is more accurate, right? But, you know, okay, so we're going to talk about two things, right? One is the cheating issue, right? Which is like, honestly, I don't really know what there is to say about that because it's going to hard to stop cheating, right? There's like ways you can put barriers in place like I can know with like, how it's it called, with Counterstrike, right?
Starting point is 01:04:15 When I'm free to play, the cheating was crazy rampant, right? And then they kind of beefed up back stuff. And then they also made it so that if you bought the game, you could be put into like a different kind of queue with people. Or like they, I think at one point they made the game just like five bucks, right? Where it's like if you want to cheat it, they pay $5. You get banned, then fine like another five bucks.
Starting point is 01:04:37 Yeah. I don't know. I don't know what the solution to stop cheating is. And I know a million people have tried it. Right? Like, you know, I know that, what's it called Activision with like Warzone
Starting point is 01:04:53 is like we got a brand new hacking thing coming out and you won't be able to break it so try hacking in our game and then supposedly you got like leaked and cracked in the first day and then they're like no that was actually a trick it's not real the real anti-hacks are coming sooner I don't know what
Starting point is 01:05:09 what's going on with any of that stuff but I know it's a problem in like a lot of game particularly on PC because it's a you know again it's like a more open platform right so you know I think I think you should be able to turn it off, right? Just straight up, right? I don't see any reason why you should force people to play with others.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Yeah. Especially a game like Halo, right? Where it's like a million people are going to be playing this game no matter what, right? Like, it's not going to be hurting for, for like players, right? So I should allow you to turn it off and also give you the option of just playing against people on the same platform as you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:39 Like, I don't think it should be any more complicated than that. Yeah. When it comes to like the balancing of like different platforms, that one's more tricky, right i think in like a perfect world right you would just say everyone have at it you know if you can't aim better than a keyboard and mouse player then that's just what you you know what you gotta do when i when i when i play street fighter i i only want to get matched against people that are playing on a nintendo switch make it to make it balance for me uh that's funny uh yeah i um yeah it's really interesting um i i feel bad indeed i feel bad for people
Starting point is 01:06:20 I, oh, I see the courage tweeted about this. Did he put up a video or no, he just, he just. Yeah, he tweeted that. Someone cheated against him. The masculine urge just to reply, get good at courage to. He doesn't really respond to us very much on Twitter, but like, that's why I kind of give him more crap to normal because like I wanted to respond and we're going to clap back at us.
Starting point is 01:06:41 I got something. Yeah? What do you got? What is it? So, you know, we just did this legendary loot. giveaway. Yeah. And we're giving away some, some game fuel and courage hoodie apart from giving. Yeah. Giving like the money away for or the, I guess, like the gift card for our store. Yeah. And the nasty J. This was not included in the price package, but they did send me a little game fuel sent me this little. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:07:20 Autograph courage. What? Yeah. That's awesome. On it it says, it says that he's six foot five, the number one trash talker. And the quote says, I'm the most athletic and good-looking influencer on the game field roster. And his autograph, which is cool. That's sick.
Starting point is 01:07:41 So that's going on to Nancy J. Or are you keeping that? I probably keep it. Yeah. You should turn into an NFT. That's that's really cool. That's also funny that the stats are fake on there. Who is that made by is is that made by gifuel? It just like the backs of the mountain dude game fuel on it.
Starting point is 01:08:03 Okay. Yeah. So it's game fuel. That's awesome. That's really really cool. I wish we could do stuff like that just saying, you know. Intent nudge nudge cool influence or stuff you can just throw out. So yeah, it's pretty funny. Yeah, it's pretty dope. All right. Next article here. This is pretty big, I believe. the CEO of Twitter stepped down. Apparently it's not the first time, I guess. But yeah, CEO a Twitter steps down.
Starting point is 01:08:28 The guy is taking his place. As a guy, I guess, who started working there like 10 years ago as like an engineer. And he's moved up his way to be like one of the top executives or I guess the top executive now, which is pretty crazy. One of the highlights of my tweeting career was when Jack Dorsey liked an NZXT tweet a long time ago. Oh, did it really? Yeah. I forget what I forget what tweet it was. was, but he liked it.
Starting point is 01:08:51 And I was like, I was like, what the heck? The CEO of Twitter just like, my tweet. That was so random. And cool. He's verified, right? Jack's verified? I would hope so. Can you imagine if he wasn't?
Starting point is 01:09:04 He's like, I don't need to be verified. People know who I am. Like, this is the account. Nothing's going to take it over. Because I feel like if you're someone who's like the CEO of Twitter, right, and you say, hey, this is my account. And people just know that being your account, right? Like, that's like, do you need to be verified?
Starting point is 01:09:20 if you're that level i don't know anyway it's just it's just a cool story you know nothing really too much to talk about you know someone leaving twitter we're not very fight on twitch it's true we're never on twitch twitch help us out um yeah it's uh i mean there again like i don't really know much about this guy to be honest i don't know much about the internal people i like top companies maybe maybe except for like you know mark zooker because you know dude can't stop talking or like getting in trouble um yeah but i think it's cool you know that uh he he he's you know that someone's moving up. Hopefully he'll make some cool, some cool changes to Twitter, make it maybe a little bit of a better platform, maybe keep it, you know, more or more of a safe platform. I think
Starting point is 01:10:01 Twitter is filled with a bunch of crap and they don't get rid of it. And hopefully he can, he can make that happen. Yeah. The best part about all this for me was all the different photoshots people made of the new. Oh, do you have the memes? The new CEO. Yeah, the All these fake tweets. Yeah. They're hilarious. Yo, you're really saying this? And like, I think, I think some people thought it was supposed to be like a fake like gotcha.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Let's cancel them. But people were like, yo, this is hilarious. Maybe banned their word ratio. Did an ass plus ratio plus, plus you fell off. I think it just, I think it's just like the, like the meme for now, you know. until it goes away. That's just how the internet is, right? I feel like banning things like,
Starting point is 01:10:50 banning things like that only makes it stronger, right? And then, you know, just kind of letting it live and fizzle out is like the thing. Well, it's like just a, especially Twitter. Yeah. Like the way Twitter works, it's all about ratioing people. It's all about dunking on others. That's literally like what gets people going on Twitter every day. they want to see someone getting dunked on to be honest it's um it's sad but that's just how it is
Starting point is 01:11:22 you know it's like the best thing about ticot isn't the videos it's literally the comments because you go on the comments and you just like see some you know people getting ratios left and right plus he fell off plus young boy better or whatever it's like that um here play phishing better yeah here's my uh here's my uh here's my Here's my, what do you call it? My spitball for the day. Yeah, Twitter, I think, besides reassuring, right, there is, or there are a lot of problems on Twitter when it comes to, like, the stuff that's allowed to be on there, right? Like, I don't think any platform is really good at, like, removing, you know, just simple stuff like misinformation, you know, just like problem accounts.
Starting point is 01:12:14 It's impossible. Even like YouTube recently, I read it that dislike button and they're making things worse because now people are just using extensions to bring it back. Like for tutorials, for example. Like legit tutorials. Like now if you're like let's see you want to build a computer, right? Now you're going to search like how to build a PC on YouTube
Starting point is 01:12:34 and you're going to end up finding videos that are not going to give you good PC building advice potentially, you know. I don't think that's true because I think. It's happening already. Is it really? Posting, I haven't seen it for PC build videos, but I've seen it for a lot of like tutorial videos, like how to use like Adobe Premiere,
Starting point is 01:12:54 how to do just different things about like how to do stuff. Like people are watching those videos because they can't see the dislike. So something can have, you know, a million likes and 50 million dislikes, but you won't know that 50 million people voted it down. So you might watch it because it has a bunch of views, obviously. It's going to show up.
Starting point is 01:13:14 the top of your feed um which is messed up right i think they they got to bring back those dislike buttons because how else you're going to know if something's good or bad yeah yeah uh youtube said on their twitter to reduce targeted dislike attacks and their impact on creators especially on smaller creators you'll no longer see a public dislike account on youtube starting today the dislike button the dislike button is staying so meaning that you can still dislike something but you just can't see what it is yeah so what's the point. I think it's because maybe the perception of having the dislike, right? It's like the same reason that like Instagram was toying with like getting rid of the light count, right? Do you
Starting point is 01:13:56 like like like something, but you can't see how many likes a photo has or something? And I think I don't know, I can't remember the last time I looked at a dislike count and been like, oh yeah, I'm not going to watch this video because can you can you see it? Were you able to see it while you're like browsing yeah it will show you like the amount of likes and really where i've never see that like if i'm just going through like my home page or like my subscriptions oh not a no not like on the feed yeah when you when you click on a video yeah yeah the first thing you see the very top is the view count you know like a million people viewed it and then they see like you know half a million liked it half a million disliked or whatever
Starting point is 01:14:38 i'm just curious like what videos people are seeing that they're like i'm not going to watch because it's a dislike. I'm going to dislike it more, right? Like, I don't know if that's an actual situation. I think for, like, tutorial videos, like, that's the best example I can think of. Like, if you're, you know, just use a PC building example, right?
Starting point is 01:14:55 If you're, if you're in a building a computer and you don't know, you don't know anything about building a computer. And you go on YouTube and you search how to build a PC. Right. And there's a, there's a video out there that has a lot of views because it's so bad that people, became a meme, let's say. Right.
Starting point is 01:15:15 So it has like 10 million views, right? But out of those 10 million views, you know, there's like 9 million dislikes. Now you're not going to be able to know that there's 9 million dislikes, which is a clear indicator if a tutorial video has more dislikes than likes, probably means that the video is not a good tutorial. Someone in chat said it's because of YouTube rewind.
Starting point is 01:15:41 They still, but they're still butt hurts so they got rid of this like button. Yeah, that's hot. Oh, yeah, yeah. By the way, it's almost rewrite time. They're not doing them anymore. Yeah. We should still do one.
Starting point is 01:15:56 Wasn't a, wasn't Pewipy, the one who did like the last like good rewind? Like, actually did one that kind of encapsulated. Yeah. So I think, I think if I could still dislike stuff that will still tell the algorithm what I like and don't like. And I think that if the algorithm is as good as it's supposed to be, it shouldn't show me content that has a high number of dislikes anyway, right? Like, as long as the thing, the problem is not, the problem is not the how the likes or dislikes are showing on your feed or whatever. The problem is that there's people bombing videos. Right.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Dislikes. Like the same way people review bomb, right? Like, for example, like I just bought the, the Peppa Pig video game. Yeah, remember how people are they doing the opposite? Yeah, they're like, yeah, they're doing review bombing on it, but not negative. They're doing positive reviews on it. Yeah. Obviously, Peppa Pig is a kid's video game. Like, you're not going to buy this game unless you have a kid, probably, or a really big Peppa Pig fan.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Yeah. But if you go on, if you go on all the reviews for Peppa Pig, it's got like 100%. Because that means it's the greatest video game of all time? Probably not. Yeah. And that's the real problem is you got to figure out how to solve for that. Not necessarily like, you know, how this stuff is being displayed to people and whatnot. Because it's important to have that filter, I think, like to show what's good and what's bad, what you think about it,
Starting point is 01:17:30 how others think about it to make your own decision on it, like especially for tutorial videos. And YouTube pans down, like one of the most popular reasons people go on YouTube is to learn how to do stuff. Right. You know, and it's, I feel like it's a big, big miss on their part that they're, they're just saying like, oh, we're not going to show it now. It's just like, okay, that's going to cause a lot of problems for people. Yeah, someone here saying, I think I look at it like this. When you buy a product you've never purchased before, you typically look at the reviews
Starting point is 01:18:00 before purchasing to see other people's experiences. I think it could be fine just to check the comments section on YouTube videos to see a more in-depth reasoning. That's why people like to slash dislike the video instead of searching for its like-slash-dislake ratio. Yeah, that's going to rhyme at too. Like, I usually go to the comments if I think there's like something wrong with the video or just curious what people think about because the thing with YouTube is people are very quick to give their opinion on the YouTube comment section.
Starting point is 01:18:26 So I think honestly removing the dislike button for, in my opinion, it doesn't really do anything. So what's going to happen then, the people that are bombing videos with dislikes, they're going to bomb comment sections now with negative comments. They do that anyway. Exactly. So it's not solving anything. So even looking at that comment feed, it's not going to help you make an informed decision about a video. If it could fix one thing, I think it probably fixes the perception that a video is being highly disliked and then you're more likely to add on to that review bomb.
Starting point is 01:18:56 I don't know if I'm sure there's like a psychological reason to it, right? It can't just be, well, people do it anyway. Well, yeah, but people don't do, people don't do a lot of things in a way because you change one little way that like a website does something and then the whole user flow. was changed, right? So I kind of want to believe that there's like, you know, that there's like a lot of research that was behind this, right? That like, you know, I mean, they said themselves, right, that I guess psychologically, maybe it does actually have an impact and it kind of lessens the amounts of review bombing. But who knows, right? Maybe, who knows? Someone said that you can still see the likes and dislikes in the video analytics. That it's true. I'm looking at the mass effect
Starting point is 01:19:37 craft a video on on the nzxy channel and we have one dislike so whoever that one person is just just uh just on sub we don't like you anyway i'm kidding uh but yeah but i mean do you can still see it as a creator what you think is important just to know like what your ratio is right like like like you know for for your own analytical purposes i think as far as like people not liking it like do other people really need to see that like to be honest just go to the comments section right i don't no it's some of those things there has to be like a psychological reason to it that's like the only way it can kind of just a fight in my brain there there has to be something that's like you know we've noticed that if you change this one little thing all this stuff happens right maybe that's the reasoning and
Starting point is 01:20:19 i think that's what people don't understand right is that there there is a lot of research that goes into a lot of changes that happen all over the place sometimes they're dumb right so i'm i'm not saying that research makes it right right but no i'm sure they have a reasoning for it and something to at least back it up, right? It's like us, right? It's like, we made an airfield case because people ask for it, right? When it's going to do it just because, you know, it's kind of like that. Not at all the same, but you know what I mean? Like kind of a similar situation where, you know, there's something to back up the reason that something is happening, whether that's a good, you know, whether that's good research or like misinformed research is one thing or another,
Starting point is 01:20:53 but, you know, I'm sure they're doing it for a reason. And I can, I can assume, right, that if it doesn't do anything and it makes a problem worse, then they'll just add it back in. But at the same time, people are very knee-jerkie and will instantly resist any kind of change no matter how positive it is, right? And then over time, you'll see what the actual, like, result is, right? Or maybe not, right? Sometimes people just get so upset and stuff that just don't care anyway and they just
Starting point is 01:21:21 have something like chip on their shoulder over something that happened. So, yeah. I don't know. Okay. Next article. what's in an article It's kind of like a It's like a self-promote
Starting point is 01:21:38 But I think we hit a nerve Ivan I think we did something And I don't know why I don't know how That's the way the internet works sometimes But people apparently really care about their browser Yeah They really really care about their browser
Starting point is 01:21:55 So we posted what is What I would say is kind of a bangor tweet It's just a you know a funny old joke, right? Literally, this is like one of the oldest jokes on the man in like the current day computer world, right? Is that Google Chrome uses a butt ton of RAM, right? And like nothing else really seems to be using that much, right?
Starting point is 01:22:14 But apparently there's like a whole conversation about like Edge actually not being that bad. And then people talking about like Opera GX is like the new hotness right now. Let me see here. Yeah, I want to be actually. Okay, 1.45 years ago, whatever. dude bringing up bullshit. You fix it now.
Starting point is 01:22:36 It's all that matters. Yeah, but yeah, people are just like going, going, going in on it. It's like really talking about like switching the Firefox. So I'm curious about the folks here in the chat. Like what browser do you use? Why do you use it? Do you like Chrome? Do you not like Chrome?
Starting point is 01:22:50 I'll say this. For the amount of RAM that Chrome supposedly uses, I've never had a problem with performance. So however it's using that RAM, it has to be efficient, right? It has to be efficient. It can't be like, you know, like, my computer's never like frozen because of it. Netscape navigator, okay, boomer. What do you use, Ivan? What's your browser choice?
Starting point is 01:23:12 I use Google Chrome because, like, first of all, for work reasons, I mean, we use the G Suite for everything. So Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs, all that stuff. So I have like a lot of Chrome extensions for work. All my work bookmarks, et cetera. It's all Google Chrome. And then apart from that, you know, I've never had an issue with Google Chrome at all. And I'm also, I'm not a Google fanboy, but I do have like a pixel phone. I have Google Stadia, et cetera.
Starting point is 01:23:50 I've never had an issue with anything Google, to be honest. Hold up. For me, it just works fine. And do you say pickle phone? That's a pickle phone. Yeah, I have a pickle phone. Pickle phone. No, pixel phone.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Oh, okay. It's like, I have tried other browsers. I have like, I've tried, I tried Edge recently because I updated my laptop to Windows 11 and I wanted to check it out. Yeah. It's fine. It works great. You know, yeah, I'm sure, like, if I didn't have to work with Google apps, like, every single day, I probably would use Edge. because it's just like a whatever browser comes pre-installed on my computer.
Starting point is 01:24:29 Yeah, it's great. So no big deal. And even like right now, like I'm looking at a, I have Chrome open. It's like the number one thing being used by my CPU and RAM and my GPU. But my computer is working fine. Like I'm not having any issues whatsoever. So right now my cam is telling me, I don't know why I closed it, it's telling me that Chrome is using.
Starting point is 01:24:56 2.8 gigabytes of RAM, but here's the thing. I am streaming and using OBS Ninja, which is literally acting as a browser source for Ivan's video camera, and I have two separate instances of Chrome Open, one for the stream here, which is just like super clean and then one for work, where I'm also looking at chat. So I don't know, 2.8 gigs of RAM for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 11 tabs, one being the stream, one being a browser source with literally literal video playing into it. One's YouTube open. I mean, it's not that bad, you know. Yeah, but I just thought it was a funny joke.
Starting point is 01:25:35 Like, you don't have to believe a joke to tell it, right? You don't have to. And this is maybe like a little lesson like social media for those of you who like run a social media account and like want to be successful, right? A joke is a joke, right? Like the reason why we posted that is not. because I actually believe it and I have problems with Chrome. It's because literally everybody says it.
Starting point is 01:25:55 So why not just play on the joke and just make, you know, and just like meme it up a little bit. But yeah, but apparently we like unlock something in people's consciousness or they're just like tagging Google Chrome and stuff. And, you know, I can't, I can't refer us to make like an email to dig aly email. Hi, this is a whatever, whatever from a Google CEO. Can you stop tweeting about us? Thanks.
Starting point is 01:26:16 I can't wait until we release the NZT cam browser. That'd be awesome, dude. just I don't know I don't know what it would do it would it would change the lighting on your computer based on what you're viewing or something right I don't know um it was it was interesting seeing all the different people yeah talk to talk about like you know what browser they use yeah like uh I thought that opera GX was like a joke like thing because like you know like I would never think myself of using like a browser for gamers. Like, you just tell me there's a browser for gaming and I'm like,
Starting point is 01:26:55 okay, like whatever, like I'm just going to use Chrome or whatever. But apparently people, like, they actually like it and like they use it a lot. No, I wasn't surprised. The best thing about Edge that I haven't been able to find on Chrome, any Chrome extension, is that you can have all your tabs on the left hand side. I think that sounds like the most scary thing in the world and I never want to do that. Why? Why would I want my tabs on the side?
Starting point is 01:27:21 Well, there's a reason why the navigation for literally every app you use is on the left-hand side, like Discord, Slack, Twitch, WhatsApp, messages. And that's because your brain automatically gravitates toward that left-hand side as opposed to the top. Like right now you're on Twitter, right? Like, why do you think those buttons are on the left? That's because that's where your brain goes right away. And I love, that's what I love about Edge is they give you the opposite. option to put the bookmarks and the tabs on the top or the left. And I love that about Edge.
Starting point is 01:27:56 Like if I didn't have it, if I'd have to work on Google, I'd probably be using Edge because I'd even though. I hate to call someone out on the internet, but this is hilarious. So close Chrome before you play. It's like no matter in the sense that he's the PC anymore. It's joke just whewsh, whatever. That's, if you guys don't know what it's like to be in the internet, this is it. If this actually angers you, if someone commenting like this actually makes you upset, don't ever work in social media. Because this is like 90% of people just close the browser then. I don't get it.
Starting point is 01:28:22 It's like it's a joke, dude. But yeah, I never heard of Avaldi, but apparently Avaldi is a thing. Yeah, if I didn't have to have so many things tied into Google Gmail stuff, then I would definitely, definitely use another browser. Maybe, I don't know. I just have I'm just too locked in. I'm too locked into my ecosystem. I'm sure the browsers have like other things to do, but like in my experience, Chrome is the fastest of like turning up, turning up, turn up Chrome.
Starting point is 01:28:53 It's like the fastest of like swapping tabs and like opening stuff. I swear when I've used like other browsers, it feels like there's like a second more takes like spin up and like do things. So I don't know. Yeah, life is very serious folks. Don't touch the internet. So yeah. We just taken this moment out of the podcast to tell you how great we are social media apparently. I was not a, I had to explain this post to someone.
Starting point is 01:29:23 They're like, so can you tell me the thought process of like you putting up that tweet and I'm like, I was on my couch and I thought I was funny and I opened up M-Matic that I pay for and then I made it and threw it up. And I was like a 20 minute process of that and then I just left the room, put my phone away. He's like, this might be a bangor. Walked away, did something else, keep back, hey, we're doing pretty well. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:49 I do use many browser for testing sites and systems that I developed, but yes, Chrome works the best using with other Google services. Yeah, and that's the thing, right? Like, it's, it's, it works. You know, it's an ecosystem. And when you're using G Suite, like Evan said, you kind of can't get away from it. So that's it for the news that I have.
Starting point is 01:30:10 Ivan, do you have anything else you want to bring up news-wise? Anything that just came up all of a sudden? Kendrick Lamar is trending. We do have a couple of announcements before we wrap it up. Yeah. Do you have any questions from people? Yeah, you folks have got any questions real quick. I think I got, I wrote that a couple.
Starting point is 01:30:24 Yeah. See, this is, I think you brought these ones down, I think, actually. Yeah. Basically, people asking about when stuff can be back in stock because there's stuff on the website that's not in stock. So the answer to that is, unfortunately, we don't have like concrete dates when stuff comes to stock. But thankfully, you have the option to sign up for email notifications on a website for everything that's out of stock. So just click the notify me button, answer your email address, and we'll let you know when it comes back in stock.
Starting point is 01:31:02 I wish we could just tell you like, oh, it's going to be in stock on December 4th at 9.15 a.m. But we can't do that yet because science has not gone that far. All right. What's the next one? Is that it? Next question is, what can we look forward to as a new product for the future, knowing, well, the current climate of the PC market. I think I already leaked the NZXT web browser.
Starting point is 01:31:31 Yeah. But besides that, I mean, obviously, like every product that we make, So cases, cooler, lighting, microphones, et cetera. Like, we're always trying to make those things better. So you can definitely expect to see updates to the current stuff we're making for sure. Someone asked just right now, what you've got to do to get noticed as a streamer? Stream, make content, have numbers pretty much. I mean, I think I talked about this at length,
Starting point is 01:32:07 one of the old shows. I should probably clip that out or something, but TLDR, if you want to make it as a streamer and get noticed by company, you have to be quote unquote big yourself. And I don't mean big as in like, be like to the Tattman level, 30,000 viewers or whatever he's getting on, on like YouTube, but I mean like a good example. And I actually throw this out here is I'm going to hype up the Homegirl for a minute. Jambo, who we're really big fans of 31,000 followers, right, on Twitter. She's hilarious. Her tweets, they bang all the time, right? Like, you know, she's almost getting as many, you know, likes and retwees as we do on, like, a good day.
Starting point is 01:32:46 And she does it all the time, right? And she puts out really great content. And she diversifies and does her thing, you know? Yeah. You know, if you're like, I want to be a streamer, give me a computer. That's never going to work. If you're like, I am a streamer, here are my numbers. And you're prepared to show those numbers in a way that is appealing to.
Starting point is 01:33:07 a company who wants to spend money on you, that's how you do it. Use the platforms that are good. As someone who streams myself on the side, just for funzies, Twitch is a terrible platform to get noticed on because there's literally no tools in place for you to get notice on that platform. You have to do it through outside sources. Like have a really funny Twitter, right? Or have a good TikTok or have, you know, really good clips on your YouTube or good videos
Starting point is 01:33:34 on your YouTube. Don't do what literally everyone else is doing. The thing I dislike the most about TikTok and gaming TikTok is just people who are just showing their gameplay, and that's all it is on TikTok. It makes my brain turn the mush, and it makes me angry because it's like, this is the most boring thing I can see.
Starting point is 01:33:52 Stop showing me what I would watch on Twitch. Show me something that is literally for that platform. I can talk about this all day. Maybe I just charge people to do this. Listen, if you want good advice on streaming and stuff from someone who works around influencers and gaming stuff who watches TikTok, a million, a billion people do. A billion people watch TikTok.
Starting point is 01:34:13 Literally, it is the biggest social platform in the world. TikTok is bigger, bigger than Facebook now. TikTok is literally creating new stars every single day. If you don't think TikTok is big, then you're literally, I don't want to tell you, man. I don't know what I tell you. I haven't agree with me here, right? Am I right or am I wrong? Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:34 Yes. I had to write up a whole, a whole ass report on why we should do TikTok. And literally the first thing was it is getting more installs and more monthly views and users on a, on like, daily basis than like Facebook is doing now in like months. It's ridiculous. By the way, Mike, Mike just messaged us in the social bros chat that he's posting on TikTok right now. Oh, snap. Should we, should we watch it? Hashtag shameless plug.
Starting point is 01:34:57 Hashtag shameless plug us watch right now, actually. Live on the air, folks are doing it. I don't think it's up yet. Go faster, Mike. Yeah, anyway. Yeah. I'm here. This is how you do it, right?
Starting point is 01:35:15 You have a platform that people want to listen to you on, and then you transition people from that platform to another platform, right? Because, like I said before, Twitch has no discoverability features in place. If all you do is stream all day and that's all you do, you're 100% doing it wrong. and you're never going to succeed on the platform. You need somewhere to funnel people into. Think of a funnel, right? They're marketing.
Starting point is 01:35:42 So you think of funnel. Twitch is probably at the end of that funnel, right? And everything else that has an algorithm is at the top of that funnel to bring people in there. Didn't Twitch try to boost feature? Yeah, but I don't think people actually use that. I'm just talking shop while Mike gets this video up. Mike Curry up.
Starting point is 01:36:03 We're going to watch it on the air. There, hurry, please. I was as many for it to go up right now. So yeah, if you want more hot tips and tricks advice on the Bistreamer, follow me on Twitch. Twitch.tv slash Ashoki. There's my plug. There's my plug for the day. Because I've literally sat there for like an hour just like just like talking to people.
Starting point is 01:36:36 Because, like, you know, that's what I use. That's how I use my own Twitch is like I'll play games. I'll just chat about whatever, you know. And someone gives me a topic and I was go on, go on it for like an hour like I do now. I mean, if you guys wonder how I'm able to do these like solo podcasts and like Ivan isn't around, that's how I do it. I literally just sit there for an hour and just talk and answer questions. I can do it forever. Mike, where's the video, bro?
Starting point is 01:36:56 Oh, here it is. Okay, get ready, folks. Some new, new hotness. Hot off the presses. See what Mike did. Hot off the presses. Made a mistake. So when I originally did the giveaway, I was thinking, oh.
Starting point is 01:37:11 So for context, if people aren't watching us on TikTok, uh, our intern, our, so our forever intern, Mike is doing a stick giveaway, the giveaway. I just comment below and I would just, you know, choose a random one and then be done. However, you can't really grab the usenames on the comments very well. So I was really trying to grab some of these comments here and then just, you know, put them into a randomizer and be done. But in order to do it is to copy every single one and then throw into a randomizer. I could just lie and then just choose a random one and be like, okay, you get the stick. But I kind of want to do it like legit and I'll go through any means
Starting point is 01:37:59 necessary to do that. So I'm going to spend the next however long copying all 285 comments into a list the madman actually does it and there we go all these people are all accounted for and now just to make it a little bit clear i'm going to get rid all at ticot.com stuff there we go and why not just replace all these as well all right added all your names to marbles and we'll see who was the marbles is the best boat yeah DMC incoming Congratulations to J-Man for Woody to stick. Congratulations. So I'll be DMU for info and stuff like that to send you out this stick.
Starting point is 01:38:59 God, I hope you don't fire me. Yeah, so we've been talking with the idea of giving away a stick for the longest time. Like we're like, how can we just like give away the dumbest thing ever? It's like, let's give away a stick. So, yeah, if you guys didn't, if you guys didn't get in on the action, you should definitely follow us on TikTok. TikTok. Talk.com slash at NZXT. Anyway, also my dog and cat are there too.
Starting point is 01:39:25 So if you want to check out my dog and cat. Actually, okay, hold up. I want to show this too because I'm proud of this video and I don't think people got it. Those of you who love Pucci know what's up. Oh, damn, it doesn't work here. And for some reason, it doesn't play on browser. And I don't know why. So never mind then.
Starting point is 01:39:39 I won't play it. I know. Uh, just don't just don't watch it on TikTok. Yeah, just go watch it on TikTok. TikTok.com slash at NSXE. There's a great. There's a great Poochee and Poochee
Starting point is 01:39:50 Mama video. How much is the shipping cost of the stick? Will it be sponsored by NXT or are you going to cut it from a salary? Yes. Yes to all those. Yeah, to come to our headquarters and pick it up. Yeah, for some reason, I think I think that's why maybe the views aren't that great because it's like broken, but I think a lot of the
Starting point is 01:40:07 videos have been that great. The dog video did way better than the cat video. I don't know why. I guess people like dogs more. But anyway, I have an announcement. So what do we got? All righty. So first and foremost, Just want to thank everyone who supported us during the legendary loot sale, which was our Black Friday slash Cyber Bundy sale. We don't do a lot of sales,
Starting point is 01:40:30 so we always look forward to this time of year because we can put a discount on our stuff, and a lot of people wait and get their computers and components. So thank you to everyone who supported us, and don't forget to tag your stuff with hashtag NZXT loot once you get it all set up. Starting point is 01:42:05 the cool thing about the gift guide is it's going to separate into like different types of people so like depending like what you want Like if you're like a regular gamer or a streamer or a builder or stuff like that, I'm going to give you a little of a guide in like what what you can pick up for someone. So, you know, if someone asks you, I don't know what to get this person. Fill in the gift guide. Say, hey, if they're a gamer on PC or they want to be a gamer on PC, there's a lot of cool stuff here that, you know, you can, you can show it. Show to them.

If you haven't subscribed yet, Reddit.com slash R slash NZXT. Yeah. And go on there, show off your builds, ask us questions. Except a lot of people go on there asking customer service questions. And before you do that, just please conk out the customer service team, nzxtee.com slash
Starting point is 01:43:09 support. Yeah. You're definitely going to get better resistance there than from some rando on Reddit. Yeah. If it's like small questions like what is this cable hanging off of H510 Elite, people go, oh, that's like the LED header that you may or may not need, right? But if it's like this computer doesn't work, what do I do? What you do is you contact the customer service team because you literally paid for a warranty and you bought the computer. What comes with the computer? So you should probably make use of it. So if there's something wrong, we just give you a replacement or something. Yeah, because that's always that I do, right?
Starting point is 01:43:42 Like, I'm not a customer service wrap. And also, like, if I answer, I'm not going to be able to stick there and, like, re-answer again, right? Like, I might be able to answer once and then I had to go do something else for like five hours. And they're like, well, you respond to me. Well, yeah, because it's my job to respond to you. It's my job to lead you to where you have to go. But in terms of, like, going through the step-by-step process of customer service
Starting point is 01:44:00 and getting a computer fixed, that's not what my time is allocated for. You can point you in the right direction. Exactly, yeah. So do that. please please stop asking customer service questions on our subreddit yeah but we got plans for stuff right i haven't made plans for a lot of things on subreddit and twitter and things like that so look forward to all that stuff keep keep an eye keep your keep your keep your keep your keep your keepers peeled for all the peep stuff all right and i think with that thank you very much to everybody who tuned in remember to
