Starting point is 00:00:00 Everyone, welcome to episode 121 of the NXT podcast, the official podcast of the NZXT community. This podcast was recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on the official NZXT Twitch and is available on stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud. My name is Mike, and with me, as always, is Ivan. How are you doing, Ivan? I'm doing great, Mike. I'm excited to be here and even more excited to introduce the NZT hand to the world. Let's go ahead and take a look at it.
Starting point is 00:02:04 I am so excited for this product, guys. This is going to be so fun. Yeah, man. I actually got to play with the prototype last year with Ewak. And EWalk loved it. I loved it. It was awesome, man. Like, I can't wait until people actually get their hands on it.
Starting point is 00:02:24 really immersed themselves into the world of mobile PC gaming. Yeah, I mean, I still have my thoughts on like other type of handheld, like, gaming consoles and stuff like that. But this one I'm really pumped for. This one looks amazing. Yeah, man. Can't wait. I can't wait till people actually get, no pun intended, get their hands on it. I see some, I see some people talking about some more deep.
Starting point is 00:02:54 details of it. Iand, do you guys want to talk a little bit about the hand just real quick? Yeah, I would love to give more details, man. So this is our first attempt at a mobile gaming device and what makes it so special is that it's literally jam-packed with industry leading specs and components. Like we didn't mess around with this device. It has a 32-core 64-thread APU or as I like to call it the APU Apiuchi because it's purple and it looks like Pucci. It has an 800 DPI 12 inch display, so it's not going to look blurry like the other handheld device that shall not be named. It has a 10 keyless pull-out keyboard. We are still debating whether or not the switches could be hot swappable, but I think the last prototype does have that available. So hopefully it has it at launch. And last but not least, it has plenty of RGB. You know, it has RGB mode.
Starting point is 00:03:58 So you just flip that switch and your hands literally glow in the dark. It's awesome, man. Yeah, I'm super, super excited to like, I mean, in general, this thing, this thing's jam-packed with a bunch of stuff. To go a little bit into it, I'm going to kind of steal your question, Ivan. It does have Bluetooth as Bluetooth 5.1. for Wi-Fi, it does include a dual-band Wi-Fi radio. It's around 2.4 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz, I believe. For USBC, since a lot of people are asking about USBC or USBB like A or stuff like that,
Starting point is 00:04:38 it does have an input for USBC for charging. And then for the battery life, that's probably one of the biggest questions I've seen, is it could play most, it has a range of about 20 hours, but on average can play games for about five to ten hours or so on one better life. It depends on what game we're playing. Obviously, like less intensive games are going to be a lot easier versus, you know, something like, you know, like an open world game, like Skyrim or something like that. Yeah, I was able to get a good 15 solid hours playing Star Doe Valley when I was testing it out.
Starting point is 00:05:12 But I think it was Apex or Valor. I don't remember which of the two. My battery life ran out relatively quick just because, I was playing a lot online and obviously like the more you do the more it's going to suck up juice so overall I think the battery life is pretty good on par with
Starting point is 00:05:32 you know like the other handheld device that should not be named so hopefully you know when people actually start playing this thing they appreciate the battery because the battery was one of the biggest considerations that we had when designing this thing and kind of going along with that
Starting point is 00:05:49 How much is this product going to be priced? Do we have an exact idea of how much is going to be? Yeah. So the price is going to be between the $400 and $700 mark. We're going to have three different variants available. The first one being 64 gigabytes and that is going to start at $400. The second variant is going to be 256 gigabyte NVME SSD. That's going to be $550.
Starting point is 00:06:18 And the big boy, the one that I'm pre-ordering for sure, it's 512 gigabyte NVME SSD. That one's going to be $700. So if you if you guys consider yourself real gamers, you're going to want that big boy because you're going to want to play all your games on this thing. Believe me. Yeah, I'm really fun for this. Well, you know, we'll see how it goes. This is our first test run of something entering into this kind of market, you know, just like
Starting point is 00:06:46 what we did with the keyboards and mice. you know, we're going to see if we could tweak some stuff. There's still stuff we always got to work on, but I'm really pumped for this. Yeah, man. And I guess do you want to let the people know why we even made this in the first place? I mean, there's a lot of reasons for it.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I mean, we can go into all the processes we did for like the design team, engineering team, stuff like that. But really, I think one of the main reasons is because we think that like gaming laptops are a little too old school, so we wanted to try to go into this new market of these handheld physical PCs. So we're like, you know what? Let's try it out. Let's give it a little try. Yeah. And, you know, like there's definitely more and more PC gamers interested in mobile gaming, not just on your phone. You know, there's several handheld devices now. So this is our attempt at that. And, you know, hopefully people are into it.
Starting point is 00:07:43 I think they will be, but we'll see. Yeah. Next question. Are there going to be any accessories? Most definitely. It comes included with the docking station. So you can just connect that to your TV with an H.D.MI cable. And you have like an instant, you know, gaming, not just gaming device, but like a computer hooked up to your TV screen, which is awesome. You can also plug in USB devices into it.
Starting point is 00:08:13 So your new function keyboard, your new Lyft mouse, plug that in with your new NZT cable. You know, maybe you want to get one of these cool, cool looking ones, your favorite color. Just plug it right in. And you have an instant computer. And, you know, a $700 computer, it's not that bad of a deal, right? It does come preloaded with Windows, but you could install Linux on it. Or I guess if you're a savage, you could even, you know, do one of those boot camp things or whatever.
Starting point is 00:08:46 run Mac, although I don't know why you would want to run some Apple software on there, but you could if you wanted to. We're leaving it open-ended so you can literally install whatever you want. Yeah, install any software, and we're working on more accessories as well. So the dock is the first one, and I'm hoping that in the future we come up with other things, like maybe some different grips for the handles, maybe, you know, something that you can like plug in and maybe like 3D print from it would be awesome. You know, the possibilities are really endless with this device.
Starting point is 00:09:25 I would actually be really fun if we could do something like that. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I'm actually going to steal that actual question from you about software and stuff like that. You can't, this is like a full, basically a portable PC. So like for some people Are asking like what type of games? Like is it only like like an app store or anything like that where you only have it?
Starting point is 00:09:50 Basically It's a portal PC so you can download any sort of software on its any sort of services like you want to download Steam Epic Games Ubisoft or Ubisoft you can do either of them It's basically just a portable PC. It just depends on your battery life especially if you're trying to keep it like handheld. Yeah and if you really wanted to you can install an emulator and download video games, but only if you own them, because we don't condone piracy around here. And you can run your
Starting point is 00:10:18 favorite emulated games, but only if you own them, right? Yes, only if you actually physically pay for it. We do not condone piracy here as for the legal aspect of it. Mike, do you want to tell them a little bit more about the resolution? Yeah, I can talk a little bit about the resolution. So it's going to be about, let me need the actual. I know it's 16 by 9 aspect ratio. Oh, it is 1,0.80 by 1024 pixels. So it's not like a full
Starting point is 00:10:46 like a huge monitor, but it's still 16 by 9 aspect ratio, so most people should still be kind of used to it. Just so they know. And then, I guess for the last question, oh, how much storage is on it? I know we talked about the actual, we talked about the different types of it,
Starting point is 00:11:06 but are we going to be adding any extra like capabilities down the road. It does have the ability for expandable storage, but it comes with built-in storage. So if you get the base model at 400, it's going to be 64 gigabytes. The mid-range one is going to be 256 gigabytes, and the high-end is going to be 512 gigabytes.
Starting point is 00:11:28 And these are all NVME SSDs. So like the second you turn on your NZXT hand is just going to load up instantly. You're going to be able to get into your games right away. There's no waiting with this thing. It's awesome. Yeah. I guess that is for the main questions that we basically have to just provide.
Starting point is 00:11:49 I'm going to... Should we get into community questions now? Yeah, we might as well. We may as well do that. I'll try to go through some of them real quick. But you can... I wrote down one of them. I'll just try to grab a couple of them real quick.
Starting point is 00:12:04 So play Jason says or asks, Does it have a built-in microphone? Can you talk to the hand? And the answer is yes, it does have a built-in microphone with an excellent response rate. It's comparable to our NZXT capsule right here. But like I mentioned earlier, you can plug in any USB device into this thing.
Starting point is 00:12:24 So you can plug in your USB capsule into it and record a podcast if you wanted to like we are today. So, yeah, awesome, awesome device. Molecular wants to know. what is a display Hertz that one's going to be basically
Starting point is 00:12:45 standard 60 Hertz we're trying to see if there's a way to do a you know like a 144 24 240 240 Hertz thing but I don't I don't think the technology's there for something so small
Starting point is 00:12:56 so we just stuck with the standard 60 Hertz sorry guys but I think it should be fine enough especially since it's the portable PC basically it should be fine science science has not gone that far yet but yes you know maybe one day
Starting point is 00:13:08 we'll get it to 100 And you know, maybe even 240 Hertz. Mohad wants to know does it support Windows 11? And the answer is, of course it does. It actually comes preloaded Windows 11. But, you know, I know a lot of gamers out there don't really like Windows 11 for different reasons. So if you really wanted to, you can also install Windows 10
Starting point is 00:13:31 or Windows XP like I run here on my personal computer. Or even Linux, whatever you want. Prime Gaming T3 Keyes wants to know So is it Upgradable memory wise? Can it run League of Legends? Yes and yes.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I'm typing the questions out so go ahead Just keep answering the questions. Aditya FTW. Can it run Minecraft? No, nothing can run Minecraft. We know that. Literally nothing can run Minecraft. Nothing can. Wonderlusted. Any VR. So that's actually
Starting point is 00:14:11 really good question. Because another reason why we decided to make the NZT hand is because of VR. We felt that having to plug into a computer was an antiquated way of using VR. And now we actually have VR goggles that don't even require a computer. So we thought, why not just have the capability of plugging your VR headset straight into this mobile device? You can walk all around your house There's no restriction You're not plugged into anything except a device
Starting point is 00:14:46 So yes, it is VR capable And you won't have any issues whatsoever with it And the bonus part about that Like Finley 1,23 here is asking It also has haptic feedback So you're going to feel the game You're going to be very immersed into whatever game you're playing And your hands are just going to be
Starting point is 00:15:08 Like one with the game which is awesome. Scandal wants to know, can it run Doom 95? Yes, of course it can. You can even run Doom 95 on our NZXT Cracken if you didn't know.
Starting point is 00:15:27 You can play it on the display. A little fun fact. Monk Star Kise wants to know. Sorry this has been answered. Does it come with a bad case or something? Excellent question. It does. It comes with its own thing.
Starting point is 00:15:42 carrying case where you can not only plug in your NZXT hand mobile device, you can also, it also has room for your mobile dock. So I grew up in the age of land parties. You know, I miss the days when I would haul my computer to my buddy's house and, you know, basically set up shop there and play video games with them. And that's what we had in mind with this. You know, we imagine people going to each other's houses and playing video games. So yeah, it does include a carrying case for that. I want to go into 8 bit of funds.
Starting point is 00:16:13 What's like the average like play time? On average, it depends on what game you're playing without like playing any games. It has a battery off around 20, 22 hours.
Starting point is 00:16:23 But physically playing it, it depends on the game. Usually it's around 5 to 10. Five if you do like big open world games that take a lot of processing power. And then, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:36 stuff like Star do Valor or stuff like that. Ivan, how much did you have? It was like, close to like 15 hours or somebody. I was over to get 15 hours on Steady Valley, you know. Yeah, that's a pretty small game to run. I mean, Rowdy, like, it's a couple hundred megabytes. So it's not too big of things.
Starting point is 00:16:50 So it depends. Yeah. Now it's 15 hours straight, by the way. Oh, wow. Jesus. Yeah. It was a long day. I mean, you play with your daughter now, don't you?
Starting point is 00:17:00 Yeah, well, that's why I was able to play 15 hours straight is because my wife took my daughter out to her sister's house. And I had the, I was all alone by myself. with the NZXT hand and I thought, you know, then pay some surgery value and why not. And I ended up playing 15 hours straight, fun times. I mean, you probably level up your farm pretty well.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Are you doing, are you like the minor fisher or like, are you like the farm person of the group? I mix it up. You know, I have multiple farms going. I think I have three farms right now. Um,
Starting point is 00:17:30 in some farms, I like to fish in other farms. I like to just build my, my own farm. like really decked out. In other farms, I just like to troll people. Other farms, I don't do anything other than mine.
Starting point is 00:17:49 So I like to mix it up. Yeah, I like to gosh it. I love argue so whenever I have a chance to talk about it. Let's see. Adida, Porta Wynn also asked, can you watch Netflix YouTube on it? Yeah, it's basically a full-functioning PC. You can just basically do whatever.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Anything you can do on your computer. with the NZXT hand. Obviously, it has a battery life compared to like a PC, but yeah, basically again. Yes. Let's see. Oh, this one actually, I'm going to steal this real quick. What are the end user services? There is a two-year warranty, like our BLD PCs.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Obviously, you know, there's a bunch of actual, like, technical, difficult, technical language in it. But it's around two years. As long as, you know, you're not pouring water into it. You're pretty much guaranteed that two-year warranty. Can it be upgraded and repaired fairly easily? Yes. Some of the parts are a little bit difficult to change because it's like basically changing a laptop.
Starting point is 00:18:47 If there's any issues with it, just contact our customer service team. You should be fine. Yeah. Ryan Legacy wants to know, what is the average FPS rate for AAA titles on low graphics, for example? You know, that really depends on the game. If you're playing a game like, let's save... A Valerent, right?
Starting point is 00:19:13 Which I think it's locked at 60 FPS. Correct. Remember among, Mike? Yes, it's locked in at 60 FPS just because of the monitor. So most of the games are probably going to be, well, some of the open world games are probably to be a little lower on, but no, in general, it could be 60. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:28 And then there's other games that are just not optimized very well. Like someone asked about Minecraft earlier, you know, like it's not uncommon to get like 15 FPS at times when you're playing that game because it's so old and poorly optimized. So it really depends on the game But for the most part you can expect to get at least 60 fPS on this thing On AAA titles Let's see
Starting point is 00:19:51 You already answered that question I think you answered Did you answer to the storage question? I did Auditigrille actually has a good one Says can I make my breakfast Answer my emails and take my dogs for a walk Well
Starting point is 00:20:08 The simple answer answer to that question, Odyssey Girl, is no. The device can't do that for you. But because it's a portable gaming PC, you could install a artificial intelligence assistant on there like Google Assistant or Siri or Alexa or whatever and talk to it, you know, tell it like, hey, hand, wake me up at 6 a.m. tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Or hey hand, who emailed me today? Hey, hand, remind me to take my dog for a walk every six hours or something like that. So yes, you could do it to that, like, to that extent, but it won't do it for you. Let's see. Did you answer the huge games one? How does it handle huge? So Adida wants to know, how does it handle huge games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
Starting point is 00:21:01 Well, obviously, you know, storage is limited, even though there is a lot of it. You know, 512 gigabytes is a lot of storage for a mobile gaming device. games are getting larger every single day. You know, I've seen games that are up to 80 gigabytes now, which is ridiculous. So as long as you have space on the NZXT hand, you will be able to play the game, guarantee you. I mean, I think a lot of people here also know how big, like, war zone, you know, updates are. So just keep an eye out for it because, you know, some PCs just physically can't. It's not even like war zones a heavy game, like an intensive game.
Starting point is 00:21:43 It's just it takes a lot for like the actual things. So just yeah, like Red Dead Redemption is 150 gigabytes. Yeah, you're gonna, you're probably going to need to have not the base model. You probably need to go for like the higher ones. I play Red Dead Red Dead Redemption on Google Stadia. So I wasn't aware it was that large. Yeah, come on guys. You guys any more questions?
Starting point is 00:22:06 Let's see. The real SVVRT wants to know how strong. as the sliding keyboard. Another great, great question. Well, for those that don't know, NZXC just released a keyboard right here. I'm showing it on screen if you're watching live. That's the NZXT function, meaning TKL right here. And obviously the pullout keyboard of the NZXC hand is not this strong, but it's strong. You know, we learned a thing or two by designing our own keyboard and we applied that same technology into the NZXT hand. So you can rest assured, you're not going to break it or nothing like that.
Starting point is 00:22:43 And like I said, we are considering making the switches hot-swappable. Still not confirm yet, but we'll see. We know PC gamers love tinkering with their keyboard, so hopefully we can make that happen. Evan, do you want to talk a little bit about that keyboard? What is that keyboard? Yeah, it's the NZXT function, mini-TKL, and exclamation function in the chat.
Starting point is 00:23:11 you guys want to know it's an exclamation peripheral or peripherals oh there should be one for the keyboard too try it oh did you from last week there we go perfect if you guys want to take a look at that or even exclamation everything clicks if you want to see uh peripherals as well so the different exclamation commands you can make um but yeah it's our actually it's not our first attempt at a keyboard i have another nzxte keyboard right here i don't know if i can show it well this is the uh i'll be like angle it like that this is the um nzxt ducky shine 3 from back in 2013 so this is uh actually our second time making a keyboard but our first time doing it all by ourselves and um like i said we learned a lot by making it definitely going to keep making better
Starting point is 00:24:07 keyboard as time goes on bring you to the game so it's just like our first time really experimenting with with that but thankfully you know we were able to take a lot of those key learnings and apply to the nzxt hands because otherwise we would not have been able to add the slide-out 10 keyless keyboard into nzxte hand yeah Dom says that the shine 3 was such a great keyword yeah my first uh gaming keyboard was a ducky um it was it they're just so good yeah um the DC NY wants to know How hot will it get? Mike, do you want to answer that one?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Yeah, like I said, it really depends on the game. But usually it's pretty good. We don't have, like, physical temps, like, the actual, like, measurements. But think of it, like, a standard console, you know, a handheld console. There are fans on it, so if it starts to get kind of hot, it's going to turn on. So it would be a little bit noisy, the decibel meter. Gosh, I can't remember. Remember we had a chart on that.
Starting point is 00:25:12 that. But it can get hot, but it's not going to be something where it's, you're going to need like a cooler or anything like that. Yeah. And I'm sure, like always, people will complain about the temps and we'll have to make an airflow variant like we did recently with H510 flow. So I wouldn't even be surprised if, you know, this time next year, there's the same model with a bunch of holes in it. Because we know people are going to ask about that. Like, you know, it's the thing to do, I guess, on NXT social media is to just complain about. airflow and whatnot so yeah I guess if you guys keep complaining about it we will put a bunch of holes in it so it's really up to you you know if you if you think it's too hot and you want us to put a bunch of holes in it let us know and we'll let the product team know and eventually we will do it um oh gosh there's so many to us uh charging times uh charging times uh charging times uh in the battery life battery life i said before it's around 20 to 22 hours uh but gaming's probably around 5 to 10 sometimes they depending on the game you could be around 15 or or so. And then for the actual charging times, it does use USBC for the charging. And I think you can get about two hours of play time in about 45 minutes, I think. 45 minutes, correct?
Starting point is 00:26:27 45 minutes, yes. Yeah. It's got two hours in about 45 minutes of charging. And then, yeah. Adida wants to know, or it says, I saw the GIF posted on Discord. Shout out to Discord.org. slash nzxte if you're not on there already but they ask or they say
Starting point is 00:26:44 the keyboard came out from the side won't that make it difficult to type when the screens all the way in the left slash right side and the answer is real gamers don't use a keyboard to type real gamers use a keyboard to play video games don't worry about the typing the reason it's on the left hand side and the mouse is on the right is so you can
Starting point is 00:27:01 get those sick head shots don't worry about typing oh this one's this is not about the keyboard but I just want to answer it or I wanted you to answer at least, Ivan. I'm not Groot, I think, is his name. What's your favorite game? My favorite game, all-time Tetris.
Starting point is 00:27:21 You know, we have a weekly Tetris tournament here. And it's awesome. The reason why Tetris is so fun is just that it's like the perfect game. And the reason why it's perfect is because you can't make that game any better. It's like the best puzzler of all time. However, with that being said, my favorite game currently, that's a little bit newer, is Super Mega Baseball 3. I am a huge baseball nut, and there's not many baseball games on PC. And what I love about Super Mega Baseball 3 is that it's a very realistic baseball simulator, design in a very fun-slash-cartoonish way, similar to NBA Jam from the 90s, if you guys remember playing that.
Starting point is 00:28:04 So, yeah, those are my two favorite games. My favorite game of all time is Super Mario Sunshine I think I've played that game Hundreds of times But I think in right now Probably Hunt Showdown I've I Me and my friends have gone super into
Starting point is 00:28:26 I think I have like 200 hours in Hunt Showdown right now So if you guys want a fun game that is like A different type of shooter And about it's basically basically battle royals, 12 people, total. Definitely pick up Hunt Showdown. Cannot recommend it more than enough. I have 205 hours, I think, in it.
Starting point is 00:28:45 100% worth it. Cuddle has a question if you want me to answer this real quick. Who does? Cuddle has a question. I go for it. Meaning Cuddle asks, what about parental controls, time limitations, and content limitations? Yes, so
Starting point is 00:29:04 So the time controls would be in the actual Windows settings, but for the actual content and stuff like that, that would depend on which software or which browser are using. So like YouTube has their own. Steam has their own. So that one would be more software based versus like the actual time one that will probably be in the actual Windows settings. Team Wayne asked a good question here. You know, how do you use the mouse? So when we were designing this thing, we actually did a lot of focus groups on how PC gamers use their mouse.
Starting point is 00:29:41 And we realized that in reality, all you really need is the scroll wheel. And the way that we were able to achieve that is by adding gyro controls to the NZXC hand. So as you're playing with the NZXT hand, you know, you slide out of your keyboard, You have your left hand on the keys, your right hand on the mouse. And if you want to aim left, you just move left. Want to aim right? Just move right. It's easy as that.
Starting point is 00:30:12 It's like the most intuitive handheld controls I've ever personally used. And I know it looks weird, but trust me, once you get your hands on it, you're going to understand like the reasoning behind it. Same reason for adding the buttons to the left hand side as opposed to the right. In those same focus groups. You know, we did A-B test experiments With buttons on the left button on the right
Starting point is 00:30:35 And we realize most gamers are left-brained So they go to the left Nine times out of ten It just makes perfect sense To have the buttons on the left over right I don't know why no one's ever thought about that before But I'm very happy and pleased That we were able to figure that out for ourselves
Starting point is 00:30:52 Because it's you know It's the future basically innovative Dom I do have a tire bag of pineapple can If you're in office, I'll come by later. Kenya wants to know, is it supposed to be played on a flat surface? The answer is no. It's called hand for a reason, because you're supposed to play it with your hands. Trust me, I know it looks like it's impossible, but it's not. Once you actually get your hands on there, it's the most intuitive controls you'll ever experience on any mobile gaming device.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Believe me. Let's play stuff as, do you have alternative controls? alternative control schemes for right-brained individuals? The answer is no, not yet. Like I said, we discovered that most PC gamers are left-brained. So nine times out of ten, they're going to want the controls on the left. Maybe in the future we will switch it up. You know, like there's a reason why every computer case has the tempered glass on the left, you know, and that's That's because most PC gamers are left-brained. So you don't see many computer cases with the tempered glass on the right, do you?
Starting point is 00:32:08 So there's a reason for everything. Will this be available at any upcoming conventions to get our hands on it from Play at Jason? Not currently. Conventions right now are still a little... I don't think there's a convention until like July or anything like that. TwitchCon. TwitchCon's happening, man, in July. So maybe we'll be able to do it there.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Yeah, no plans as an right now, but if we can get our hands on a booth, probably. Air Rug asks, RGB version when. The answer is now. This thing is already RGB. It has RGB mode. So all you do is flip a switch, and this thing lights up. Watch the trailer. We do tease the RGB mode on there if you want to check it out.
Starting point is 00:32:55 That's a majority of the questions. Do you want to keep answering, or do you want to move on to... We can answer. There's a couple more. probably answer. I'm trying to see. Van Derriden asks, is there a deposit for pre-order
Starting point is 00:33:08 similar to how Steam Deck is done to prevent scalpers? The answer is no, and the reason for that is because we actually did not really like the pre-order setup for Steam Deck
Starting point is 00:33:19 because several people at NZT pre-ordered Steam Deck and we still don't have our device. So we don't want to do that to you. We know you guys want this device. We know you're anxious to pre-order it. So what we're going to do is we're just going to let you know when it's on sale,
Starting point is 00:33:37 and it'll be available day one. You know, we don't want you guys to give us your money and then wait around for months hoping that Gabe Newell delivers it at your doorstep or something like that, right? So stay tuned. The release day has not been launched or announced yet, but once we know, we'll let you know. So follow NZXT on social media, get all the details there. We will let you know as soon as we know.
Starting point is 00:34:06 On a series from Hen Usagi, on a serious note, you guys built my current PC that I just got in February. It's been a beast and couldn't be happier. Congrats, man. Thanks for supporting us. And I hope that the PC works for you and carries you in your games. Thank you, Hen Usagi. Deep Sea Homer wants to know why these won't be hand delivered by us. And the answer is, you know, we're just too busy, man.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Like we have our regular jobs We're we can barely keep up with what we're doing now And the last thing we want to do is You know drive to someone's house And deliver this thing in person I probably would do it for Deep C Homer Because for those that don't know He's an animator on The Simpsons
Starting point is 00:34:50 He was on the podcast I forgot what episode number But if you guys Google it I'm sure you will find it Let me check, I'm asking I'm curious 112 112 112 what? Episode 112. Oh, easy.
Starting point is 00:35:09 Easy. Let's see. Any more questions from the chat about the NZXE hand, or should we get into our rapid-fire questions, Mike? We'll be giving it out for free like you do for PCs. No word, but not out of the realm. That's hilarious. No matter what happens, everyone just always asks for free things, no matter what. We release a crack in keyboard, mouse.
Starting point is 00:35:37 It's always something that everyone's got to play. Erigant FGC wants to know how you play fighting games on it. Well, the answer is simple. Like I mentioned earlier, you can plug in USB devices onto this thing. So just plug in your fight stick like you do on your PC or your PlayStation, whatever, and you're good to go. You know, some people like me personally am very proficient in playing fighting games with the keyboard and mouse. But that's only because I'm old school. I've been playing fighting games since probably before you were born, arrogant FTC.
Starting point is 00:36:11 So, yeah. If you haven't tried playing fighting games with the keyboard or mouse, please, please try it. I highly recommend it. The feedback you get is much more responsive than any fight stick out there. Trust me on that. Honestly, girl asks, do NSXT partners all get a free hand? I don't think we have word on that. We could ask our partner team.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Should we just ask? Just if that's actually a great question. Maybe they should just email partners at nzxte.com and ask over there. And Amanda, our partners queen can let them know. Oh, Pope's in the chat. Hey, what's up, Pope? Yeah, let me do that. I think we can go into the rapid fire questions, Mike.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Yeah, let's move on to the rapid fire. questions. These questions are basically just more fun questions for us because after talking about products for so long, we kind of want to have a little bit of fun. Yeah, and it's a new segment on the show. And, you know, it's a new segment because Mike and I are, we're not new to the podcast, but it's, we're the new host. You know, Dennis is, is not hosting here anymore. So we figured new show, new segment. And the idea we came up with was rapid fire questions. And, The idea is to ask these to our guests, but since today's guest is Mike and I, we just decided, let's just ask each other some questions to see how it goes. So I think you're out first, Mike.
Starting point is 00:37:52 All right, Ivan. Would you rather have the ability to see 10 minutes into the future or 150 years into the future? Probably 150 years into the future to see what legacy I left behind. Because, you know, I have daughters now. I'm curious to see if, you know, what their grandkids are going to be doing. in the future. So I think 10050 years. Oh, so is it, I have a question.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Is this like a one-time ability or is this like you can do it multiple times? I think it is a one-time use, right? I don't know, Mike, you wrote the question. Yeah, I think you can use it maybe multiple times because 10 minutes one would be bad just using it once. Actually, if it was multiple times, I would definitely go for the 10 minutes. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Yeah, because then I would use it to my advantage and like pick lot of numbers, baseball scores,
Starting point is 00:38:41 things like that. Like, I would definitely, like, gamble with that, with that ability. Yeah, how do you even, what would, what would even be the use of doing a 10-minute one, one time? Like, what use would that be? To get rich. So, like, if you're a basketball game, you know, 10 minutes before it ends, just see the score, and then just drop a bunch of money on it, like, last minute, I guess. If you can do that, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Or maybe, um, maybe just, I don't know. Horse racing. I see someone said horse racing. That's good. That's good. How long are horse races? They're not 10 minutes, right? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:39:17 There are like a couple minutes at most. They can bet. Oh, that would actually be pretty good. Okay. You know what? I may do 10 minute one done. To bet your whole life savings on it. You can do it.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Okay. Go for it. All right, Mike. Next rapid fire question for you is hot or cold weather? Cold weather. I think a lot of people like being warm like here in LA but I think cold weather's better
Starting point is 00:39:45 because if you're hot you're just sweating and that's it you can't really do anything else you can either just go into a place with AC or you're screwed with cold weather you can at least warm up so you can at least layer up and actually deal with the cold weather versus hot weather good luck
Starting point is 00:40:03 and I always think it's better to put on a jacket than get naked right next question what is your favorite thing to drink on a hot day. Sparkling water. Even when it's a cold day, I drink like eight of those things a day. I'm addicted.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Whoever invented sparkling water is the devil. I am convinced of that because... You don't like sparkling water? No, I love it. That's why, but the reason I think there's a devil is because not only is it really delicious and addictive, but it's really bad for the environment because I drink so many of them that I'm actually thinking of getting my own machine to make sparkling water at this point.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Oh, you can't. I know there's like, uh, water carbonation things. Yeah. And like, it's like, you press a down. Soda stream.
Starting point is 00:40:44 There you go. I'm thinking about getting one of those. All right, Mike. What scares you the most? Scares me the most. I think I'm a, I'm really afraid of heights.
Starting point is 00:41:01 I like rock climb. I rock climb and I'm afraid of heights for some reason. I don't know if that's weird. If you're afraid of heights, why were you hanging from a bridge in Italy recently? Oh, that was... No one told you to do that. No one told me to do that.
Starting point is 00:41:17 It was just a little devil on my shoulder going, hey, I think that bridge is easy to climb. Well, Josh, my hands are injured, but yeah, these are my climbing hands. But I, yeah, in Italy and Chinatere, there was like a bridge, and I decided to go, I'm going to hang off of it. And everyone just around me just goes, what? and I did it. Could have been seriously injured. Could have terrible. It was like a 15 foot ball, but I did it.
Starting point is 00:41:47 It was cool, cool picture. Don't know why. And if anyone wants to do that picture, go to Mike Kim reversed on Instagram. Yeah, follow me. Let's go. Let's play stuff higher ups are contemplating your health insurance. Yeah, I know. Yeah, we may not want to tell our HR team about that.
Starting point is 00:42:06 So let's keep down to time. Let's see. How are you feeling about work right now, Iman? I'm actually feeling really awesome about it because I came to the office twice this week. This is my second time here this week. And it's like the good old days. I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a while. I got to see Johnny yesterday hanging out with Melinda today a little bit.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Tons and no more mask around the office anymore, thankfully, because that mandate has been lifted. so I'm able to see people's faces and yeah obviously we're still social distancing we're still washing our hands and all that stuff but I'm feeling really good about work right now it feels good to be at the office and actually seeing people you know we've been isolated for so long yeah yeah I kind of it's weird
Starting point is 00:42:56 yeah and I'm coming out of office today it's weird um talk about like the mask thing because like um like I've I've literally known people only through the mask and then when they take it off, I'm like, you don't look. It's like when someone wears glasses and it takes it off, I'm just like, you don't look right? Same exact thing.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Yeah, some people should leave that mask on, right? That's how we know. I don't think we should be saying stuff like that. That was a joke. That was a joke. All right, Mike, what's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Weirdest thing I've ever eaten. I've eaten chicken feet.
Starting point is 00:43:32 One of my friends is Filipino, and apparently it's a pretty common, common food there and it's pretty good not gonna lie yeah chicken feet's pretty good the only thing that's really gross about it to me is you don't realize you're eating chicken feet until you're gnawing on a bone like you you you suck you're sucking all the meat off of a hand you know like a claw and you finish eating the chicken foot and then you left with like this little claw like that yeah i think people people are more scared about the actual thing than the taste itself uh it's like it's like an octopus or squid.
Starting point is 00:44:09 People just don't like the idea of like a tentacle or a head, but it's delicious. It actually does taste like chicken. Yes, it does. Yeah. Chicken bean does taste like chicken. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Are you excited to have your second child soon? Oh, for sure. Shout out to Rebecca. We'll be here sometime in April. I actually, one of the reasons I came to the office this week was to submit my paternity leave, which is they're offering me a really generous amount of time. And Mike was freaking out because he thought I was going to take the entire time off, which is three months.
Starting point is 00:44:51 And he just joined the social media team. So like I think he was kind of not scared, but he was just kind of like, you know, kind of worried a little bit. And I'm only taking a month off. So I am going to be gone the entire month of. me. But that's not where I'm excited. I am excited to just be a dad again. I love my other daughter, Olivia.
Starting point is 00:45:17 I always tell my wife, I feel like I was born to be a girl dad for some reason. I don't know. Something about little girls and I don't know. I just, yeah, I'm excited. Can't wait. Whiskey on Quartz says F in the chats for this man's sleep schedule. Oh, yeah. I don't sleep.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Mike tells me every day, what are you doing? up at this time. I'm like, I run on very little sleep. I don't, I don't know. I'm not bragging. I just, I'm up at 4 in the morning all the time. Yeah. Like he, he would literally like, DM me on Slack at like four or five in the morning. I just go, what? But yeah, congrats, Ivan. I'm super excited for you. I'm super excited for your wife and your family, so that's going to be fun. Yeah, I think so too. All right, Mike. What fun things do you have coming up? My friend, really, this is a very big, like, thing.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Because I'm still, I graduated about two years ago. So, you know, I'm still in the, I'm just graduated college thing. One of my friends is getting married soon. Congratulations, Zach and Kylie. They're going to be married in May. And we're going to be going up to Vegas for his bachelor party. But it's still very odd to see that my friends are getting married. and like a couple people I know also are starting families and stuff and it's just very
Starting point is 00:46:39 very eye-opening to see but that's very I'm very excited for that yeah I remember yesterday or the other day you were telling me it's so weird my friends getting married and I was like yeah it's I remember feeling weird when my first friend started getting married I felt weird with my first friends started having kids and now like everyone I know is married with kids and it's weird if you don't. So it's just a part of life, man. Like, you don't have to have kids to grow up, but it's just, you know, the evolution of your life and the different eras you go through.
Starting point is 00:47:12 It's really interesting. So just enjoy the ride, man. One day you're going to be an old man like me and look back at the next person helping you on social who's scared when you go on your paternity leave. Yeah, exactly. Oh, man. It's just, it's very eye-opening because, like, you know, back then, the biggest thing that I was going to go through was like, oh, going to high school, then going to college, then
Starting point is 00:47:34 graduating college, then getting a job. And now I was just like, oh, yeah, friends are getting married. I'm just like, oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let's see. Oh, next question. What's the most useless talent you have? I think my most useless talent is that I know a little bit about everything. You know how that saying, you know, Jack of all trades, master of none, that's really me. Like, the only use I've ever found for that talent is for playing, like, trivia games. But besides that, like, I don't know. Like, I just know so many, like, random things about just different things. Like, I can honestly have a conversation about a million different things.
Starting point is 00:48:19 And I don't know a lot about it. I just know just enough to ask a really stupid question. Give us some random trivia, Ivan. Random fact. Give us a random fact. Okay. Something I recently learned is that Facebook has 29,000 data points on every single user. I just remember little things like that.
Starting point is 00:48:45 29,000? 29,000, yeah. Like little stats that I come across, like I just storm in my brain for some reason. That's that one I just heard yesterday or a week ago actually. Yeah, I know that if you look on like what data is on you or something like that on Google, it will like basically like look up your your name and then your birthday. And it can pretty much bring like 12 stats about you. Like it'll tell you about, you know, if you're a lower, upper middle class, stuff like that,
Starting point is 00:49:17 how old you are, when you graduated, what your income, what your like thoughts are. It's very scary. Income, you get paid for doing this? I'm doing this for college credit, man. Yeah. Yeah I'm like What
Starting point is 00:49:33 Jharis is kind of crazy Yeah It's scary What's the strangest thing in your refrigerator Mike Strangest thing Yeah I don't even
Starting point is 00:49:48 I don't think I have too Much strange things I mean I have Asian food Which for a lot of others It's very very weird I think squid would be the weirdest one for people
Starting point is 00:50:04 because you know some people just don't like squid by literally just have squid tentacles in like a little package in my fridge I'm going to cook up later all right podcast over thank you for joining us everyone next we only got three left would you rather have skin that changes colors
Starting point is 00:50:23 based on your emotions or have tattoos appear all of your body depicting what you did yesterday that's a trick question because I already have skin changes based on my emotions, Mike. Oh, what colors can't change do? Everyone does. Like, you know, when you're nervous or flushed or whatever, your skin gets red, you know,
Starting point is 00:50:42 I guess, I don't know. That was, I think if I had to pick, I would probably would pick the skin one because I feel like my emotions don't change so much. Actually, I was having this conversation with my wife yesterday. she's like, why are you so chill about everything? I'm like, I don't know, I'm just a chill kind of guy. Like, I don't like to stress out about things that may or may not happen. If there's a problem, sure, sometimes I will freak out about it.
Starting point is 00:51:16 But for the most part, I just kind of take it easy and don't really freak out much. So I would rather do that that just have a bunch of dumb tattoos of what I did yesterday because I do a lot of dumb things, you know, like if I got a tattoo, if I had tattoos today of what I did yesterday, I would have like, I would probably have like tea ball tea. I would have a bicycle.
Starting point is 00:51:41 I would have a barbecue grill. You know, just dumb things like that. I don't think I wanted my body. Yeah. Are they cool tattoos? I think I think it depends.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I think it has to I guess you could make it as artistically viable all you want, but I think you have, I think it has to accurately depict what you did. So if you like, you know, ate some food, like this type of food, it would be, it could be artistic tattoo of it, but it would be of that. You know who has tattoos like that is our boss Talley. She has tattoos of bagels and pizzas on her. So I guess, I guess it wouldn't be so bad. Like, if the arts size was good, sure, I'll take tattoo of my lunch. don't forget, it's everything you did.
Starting point is 00:52:31 So if you had a bad experience, something happened and going to gym, doing anything, it's going to be depicted. I don't know about that. I feel like you can cover it up, but I don't know. If I want to wear a t-shirt, I think I'll do the skin color too.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Plus that'll be kind of cool. You'll be kind of a chameleon. That'd be kind of cool. All right, Mike. Would you rather live in a treehouse or a cave? I think I'd rather do. God, that's hard. Because I'm thinking like Minecraft right now.
Starting point is 00:53:07 I'd be like, oh, I can do a cave. But at the same time, I think tree house would be better. Because then you'd actually... Yeah, I think I'd be tree house. I think that'll be more fun. Plus, I love tree houses. I've always wanted one as a kid, but our trees were never that big. That is the correct answer.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Good job. And then last question. Would you rather have a mullet for a year or wear itchy wigs for six months? Definitely a mullet. for I guess two reasons. One is like, why would I want to have an itchy head for half a year? That's ridiculous. And also because I'm at the point in my life where I don't care how dumb I look.
Starting point is 00:53:45 You know, I'm not trying to, you know, go out clubbing and do my hair and all that. So I wouldn't mind the mullet. Plus, I think like they're coming back in style, right? Like, you see people with weird haircuts all the time now. You don't even blink an eye anymore. So I think I'd go with the mullet. Can you please grow a mullet just for a little bit? Can you do it?
Starting point is 00:54:07 I'd rather wear an itchy wig. Never mind. I was like, I mean, if you're offering, Mollet is baseball friendly. They do say, you know, when you're wearing a helmet, you do have that lettuce, the cabbage. Look like John Kruk with my hair. Mullet ZXT, exactly.
Starting point is 00:54:29 I could probably do that. All right, well, that wraps about rapid-fire questions, Mike. I think we're ready to go into the announcements here. Let people know what's going on. All right. Let's see. Oh, everyone, we just launched some peripherals. We released a new keyboard called the Function Keyboard with multiple options from full size,
