Starting point is 00:00:26 Hello. Welcome to episode 123 of the N60 podcast, the official podcast of the NXT community. This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Center time on the official NXT Twitch and is available on stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud. My name is Mike and with me as always is Ivan. How are you doing, Ivan? I'm doing great, Mike. I feel like we should buy a lottery ticket today. number one, two, three. One, three. Yeah, I didn't think we're going to make it past one, and here we are, 122 episodes later.
Starting point is 00:01:06 That's a lot of episodes. Yeah. That's 120-something. Some might say 123 too many, but not me. I wouldn't say that. Nah, no, it's going good. Oh, man, there's so much that we're trying out, so please bear in mind with us, guys. We're going to try some new things today.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Yeah, it's good, man. Let me pick a... We got some new segments for y'all. We do, we do. So we don't really have any standard like product releases, no product, anything like that. So we're going to try out some new segments today. The first one we're going to do is talk a little bit about the gaming world right now.
Starting point is 00:01:47 We got some gaming news that we kind of want... That we kind of thought were kind of big and we kind of wanted to, you know, bring out to the world. Make sure you guys also are caught up with it. Ivan, do you want to start us off with the first one? Sure. Actually, can you start it off, Mike? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:06 It's hard for me to multitask right because I'm on one monitor. Okay. You're at home right now, right? Yeah, I'm doing the podcast from home today. For those that don't know, I am officially on Baby Watch 2022. So my wife is getting ready to give birth to our second daughter any moment now. and kind of on call. So I didn't want to go at the office today
Starting point is 00:02:31 just in case it was a day. Everyone, please give a congratulations to Poppy for going to be another father, because he already has one. So everyone, please give a congratulations to this guy, which is also going to be one of our announcements that since Ivan is having a child suit, we may have to put the podcast on hold for a little bit,
Starting point is 00:02:53 since I'll be the one kind of main to station. We'll see if there's a chance of me doing like a small solo podcast or whatever, but we'll, as of now, we're just going to try to keep everything on hold. We're going to put everything on hold until my daughter turns 18. That's it. Okay. I'll see you guys in a long time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:15 But actually, you know, it is going to be interesting because I'm going to take a significant amount of time off from work. and I've never done that before. So it's going to feel a little weird, you know, not being on Twitter every day and chatting with people and whatnot, but it's going to be fun. I hope that you have fun without me.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Yeah, I think I'll be having some fun with on seeing some stuff. It's going to be interesting. Nervous, of course, since that will be the one manning the station, but, you know, it's got to get done. Something has to get done no matter what, and we're just going to get it, get it going. Someone else to tell people know when they ask for free PCs.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Might as well be you, Mike. More stick giveaways. You know what? If you guys get me more views, I'll do another stick giveaway. Heck yeah. Get my job, so I'll take it. All right. Sorry, I should have told you before the podcast started if you could read the stories.
Starting point is 00:04:17 No, no, no, you're good, you're good. Right now. All right. We'll miss you, Ivan. My school will hold it down. Well, I'll try. I'll try it called me. I'll try. I'll try my best. So let's see. All right. So the first story that we kind of want to go over today is kind of one the biggest ones. And kind of a lot of people are calling it a little controversial. So Sony and Epic Games actually have, they've already had a kind of a thing together. You know, they've worked together on games and, you know, have investments in each other.
Starting point is 00:04:49 but as recently Sony, who, you know, have made PlayStation VR, has invested one billion with a B in Epic to further the development of new digital fan experiences
Starting point is 00:05:05 and this is a word of controversial is and the Metaverse. Last week, Epic Games kind of showed a showcase of Unreal Engine 5. If you guys don't know, Unreal Engine kind of shows off a lot of games are made, a lot of motion capture, stuff like that. And then it included Coalition, which if you guys know for the Gears of War Games, and CD Project Red, which, if you don't know, is the big one behind like The Witcher and Cyberpunk and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:05:34 So they kind of showed it off. And Epic CEO Tim Sweeney also sent a release that this investment will accelerate our work to build the Metaverse and create spaces where players can have fun with friends, brands can build creative, immersive experiences and creators can build a community and thrive. Kind of a big deal for $1 billion because Sony has also bought a lot of stuff recently from $3.6 billion acquisition of Bungy, if you guys know, which makers of destiny. Let's see. Also, they picked up Parse Marquay and BluePoint,
Starting point is 00:06:13 who made Returnal and Demon Souls, and then also paid $229 million to bring Insomnia. the studio behind to place an exclusive Ratchet and Clank and Marvel Spider-Man. So this is kind of huge. Sony can afford everything. Yep, you're, you are really correct. Shishak?
Starting point is 00:06:33 Like, that's a lot of money. That's $1 billion plus $3.6 billion, plus another $229 million, plus another, I think, 50-something million for two of those things. Like, that's a lot of money going into these studios. So my first question, Ivan, is, have you played any VR and anything like that before?
Starting point is 00:06:52 Yeah, I don't have a VR set up personally, but I have played VR, and the reason why I don't have a VR setup myself is just because I haven't found that one game that makes me want to, like, you know, upgrade my computer and all, you know, buy all this stuff so I can play it. Although recently, I did get Tetris,
Starting point is 00:07:18 connect or Tetris effect connected and that actually is making me consider getting a VR VR setup at home so you play it in VR I didn't know you can play in VR too because I'm for VR it's a VR VR first game like yeah I'm in the same boat as you I uh I played a lot of you a lot of my friends have VR and they love it but the problem is that I one I don't have we're I'm in like a rental home right now so we're going to be moving soon so I'm waiting until I get into a bigger room so that I actually have room to do VR. Plus, I kind of want,
Starting point is 00:07:54 I know, it helped me on the chat. I think there's now some VR things that are wireless, because when I played with my friends, it was a wire and it was really annoying to deal with, like, moving around the core tripping on, I tripped on a couple times. I think, yeah, Quest two. Yeah, I think that one is wireless,
Starting point is 00:08:13 which sounds good, but I know the battery life on is kind of, like, kind of weird. on it. Yeah. No, there's definitely wireless VR now. I don't know about the battery life,
Starting point is 00:08:25 but anything wireless definitely doesn't last forever. So I'm assuming you have to charge that thing every time you play it or after every time you play it. But yeah, I don't know. I don't know what
Starting point is 00:08:35 all this money is going to go into, but I am excited for the metaverse, believe it or not. Yeah, that's going to be the second question on top of that. What are your thoughts on this metaverse from what originally faced?
Starting point is 00:08:48 but now, meta. So I'm very interested in the metaverse because I am I am literally like the last generation alive that remembers the world before the internet.
Starting point is 00:09:03 And it was very different, you know, like when I was in high school, I used to have to walk around with quarters in my pocket so I can call people, you know. So
Starting point is 00:09:17 it's very fascinating to me just to see like how the internet has evolved in my lifetime and when I think about the metaverse you know I really think it is something that is going to not only happen but probably be like the next evolution of what this internet is because I think you know the pandemic and like the way inflation is right now it's really changing the way people think about their life, but they spend their money and time on and things like that. And the metaverse kind of opens up a lot of possibilities, you know? Like, for example, when the pandemic first started,
Starting point is 00:10:00 a lot of people all of a sudden realize, oh, I don't need to drive to an office to work, right? I can do this from home. Well, the metaverse actually allows you to pick that up a notch because now you can just be at home. And instead of having, like a computer at home, what if you just had like VR goggles
Starting point is 00:10:21 and you go into like a virtual office and you see all your all your work buddies there and then you have like this virtual computer setup that is way better than anything you could ever afford you know maybe you have like six monitors
Starting point is 00:10:36 you know whatever. You can have like the craziest setup in this metaverse and it would feel like it's real, you know. I think the line is definitely getting blurrier and blurrier in terms of like what's real and what's not. And I always wonder, like,
Starting point is 00:10:55 what if when you die, you just take off this VR helmet and you're like, man, that was a crazy game. And that's a real possibility. Like, for all we know, we could literally be playing a video game right now, like this metaverse
Starting point is 00:11:11 already. So it's really interesting, man. And it's a little scary too, to be honest, because, you know, like, it's unknown, like, what's going to happen. Like, um, I, the possibility of these computers taking over, artificial intelligence, you know, running the world, that's a real possibility, in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:11:36 So hopefully if our AI overlords are, are you know commanding us in the future hopefully they're nice yeah i got a lot of pull a couple couple awesome uh questions or a comment to the chat um yes so there was a rick and borty episode about this where morty basically goes lives a full life you know as like this whole other person dies in the game and it wakes up back as morty um and then also someone says that this basically kind of sounds like ready player one sort of online and is this basically VR chat but on a bigger scale and honestly kind of it kind of is VR try have you ever played VR chat Ivan never played it but I have
Starting point is 00:12:27 seen it yeah it's pretty cool I think it's basically the art chat in the rally just a much more expansive but yeah I kind of want to yeah I see some of these some people are saying like it's like second life questions on like Like, if what happens to VR is better than, like, real life. God, what was the movie where this guy has, like, a implant, like a robotic implant in his brain? I can't remember. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 And then he gets in a car accident. Yeah, car accident gets it back in his brain and the, like the... It's a party, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that, like, he kind of became something, you know, else. He just had it kind of work with his body. And there's a part of that that kind of got me a little scared. It was like he was walking through these like people that were just stuck in like the VR goggles.
Starting point is 00:13:22 And they're like when VR is better than like real life, would people just use that as escape. Which I guess some people do already was video games. Yeah, I mean, people to some extent do. And for me, like I'm actually a bigger believer in AR than VR like, like augmented reality. because augmented reality is already a huge part of our life, and we don't even blink an eye at that. It's like already, it's normal. Like the perfect example of that is Pokemon Go, right?
Starting point is 00:13:54 Like every Saturday I take my daughter to this park to ride bikes, and there's hundreds of people walking around this park with their phone chasing Pokemon. And on their phone, you know, like to them, it's like they see these Pokemon characters in the real world. And they're trying to catch him. And to them, it's like, yes, it's a game. But at the same time, it's also kind of like blurring that line of what's real and what's not. Like, how do I know that that person is not an augmented reality figment of this metaverse that I'm playing in a different world or something? You know, it really boggues my mind how integrated that is in our inner world.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Yeah, it's a, I kind of, like, I remember Google Glass. Yeah. And that was like the first step towards the AI kind of, you know, augmented reality. It didn't work out too well, but I think people were still making it. I think it looked too goofy. It did. It really did look too goofy.
Starting point is 00:15:01 It was cool. It was just, I remember, when I put it on and I used it, I was like, this is cool, but I would never in a million years walk around like this because I looked like a total weirdo you know everything about the episode of black mirrors if you die physically while in VR you're stuck in the game forever although that was depicted as afterlife yeah i know i don't think it will get to that point within our generation but you know maybe a couple generations later like you know patients can go into VR while they're in hospital beds and stuff like that which is kind of scary to think what i think is going to happen in our generation is something that's kind of already starting to happen
Starting point is 00:15:41 is, you know, because people put their lives online now, right? Like, for example, us on this podcast, us on social media, et cetera, people are now, there's this company that's like taking people's tweets and Facebook posts and and live streams, et cetera, all these other stuff they put out online. And when they die, they make like a hologramed. that is programmed to talk like them, say things that they would say, interact with people the way that they would normally interact with them.
Starting point is 00:16:23 And it's all based on what they put out there online, right? So I wouldn't be surprised if that just becomes like the norm in our lifetime where, you know, it's like, okay, you're going to die. Let us export your file, create this like virtual. mic and then everyone can still interact with this virtual mic even though it's not really you it's still like something that you would do
Starting point is 00:16:51 you know yeah it's yeah it's a really deep topic on AI VR AR we are hitting towards that direction I mean back then you know what 1920s was when the first car was made 40 years ago, we're landing people on the moon.
Starting point is 00:17:14 1907, Mike. 1907, sorry. And then 1960s, they're landing people on the moon, and now we're having VR, AR, crazy AI. You've seen the videos of, like, the AI robots doing, like, backflips and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:17:29 So, I don't know. So it's like CSGO, if you die, you're a place with a bot. Yes. Yes, that is 100%. No, it's not when you die. It's when you get kicked. So if you get kicked from the lobby, you get you got a replace a bot so I would a real-life interpretation to getting kicked would be
Starting point is 00:17:45 like you get fired. Would I please bury me with my skins, Mike? I sold all my CSCO sins and it made so much money. I'm not in a hyperbeast. I've never died at CSCO. Yeah, sure, Droga. Sure, you haven't. Sure.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Your KAD must be off the charts. Morals could shift. True. Morals could shift. I know things have, you know, morals. are always changing. That's scary is that. It's like, what if these computers gets so smart that they change the way people think about life, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:25 and like what it means to be a human, right? So it is scary, but nothing we can do about it except cross our fingers and hope everything turns out for the best, right? I don't think it'll, I don't think, we'll have VR and AR in our generation. but I don't think we'll get to the morality or like the super deep stuff until later. So, you know, hopefully the next couple generations will be sky net. Yeah, we don't want another sky to edit a situation. That would not be good. Well, they say the kids that are being born now are likely going to live to be 125 years old
Starting point is 00:19:01 based on the way science is advancing. So if that's the case and maybe, you know, my daughter's kids, you know, 25 years from now, whatever, maybe they're going to live to 200 or more. You know, and if that happens, then the morality question becomes, you know, what do we do with all these people that are living so long? Like, and we're already, we're not a space here. You know, maybe that's even more reason they, like, have a metaverse where we're all living in this virtual world instead of the real world. Because it's just better. I'm the only one
Starting point is 00:19:40 Briseau good point is one like you can live out to 125 but like what quality of life like yeah exactly one toy is a new life expectancy but like what what are you just living or are you like at 80
Starting point is 00:19:54 feeling like you're 40 you know that's the that's the scariest thing for me is just like you can live a long time but you're just there you're just existing you're just live you're just alive basically not living you're just alive that's the thing that scares me a lot
Starting point is 00:20:08 is that people in their 30s aren't boomers yet yeah so would would there be a new Gen Z and it was like you know like the young ones would it be like oh you're you're not an adult till you're like you're 30 now so you can't like drink or go do all the stuff until you're 30 and then 30 to 50 is like the new millennials and like 60 to 80 is like oh you're starting to be a little older and then like old old is like past 90 I mean, maybe, because even like 100 years ago, the life expectancy was like, oh God. 35 or 40 years old or something like that.
Starting point is 00:20:49 It wasn't long. Now it's 75. So, yeah, I mean, if people are living to be 150 years old, then, yeah, technically a boomer is someone that's going to be like 100. I wonder there would be a way to implement, like, if we do have that longer life expectancy and put people into the VR machines and like the Metaverse and stuff, but you don't need to like be able to move. You just have to think about it.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Like you think about your actions. So you don't actually have to physically move. Then I can also see that's why. That's that, you know what? That kind of brings me into, I saw a couple comments on it. It was the, uh, uh, Wally, uh, if you remember, you see, you've seen Wally, right? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I remember how like all the people are into chairs and stuff like that and they're just kind of just stuck up to that. Yeah. It'd be the same.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Kind of scary. This is a, this is a scary thing. Like, we are, before people made fun of it, people were like, oh, you know, you know, back then we'll have flying cars and hovercrafts and stuff like that. But now people made fun of like, oh, VR, people were going to do that. People are, people are actually, like, it's becoming a real thing. Like, we're having $1 billion being invested into it. Facebook changed it to meta
Starting point is 00:22:05 like something's happening don't be scared Mike no I'm excited I'm excited to see the technological advances I'm just hoping that you know it doesn't go out of out of don't go too crazy with it too late
Starting point is 00:22:21 all right let's go on to the next section do you want to talk about this one Ivan or if you don't mind do you mind reading the stories just so I don't have to go back and Or my CPU's frying already over here. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:22:35 What are your specs on your PC right now? All right. So I am running an I-5-4-460 CPU and a GTX-970. Really old computer. But it has sensual mental value to me because I built this computer when I first started working at NST like seven years ago. And it's inside my favorite NZXT case. And it's served me well, but it's definitely time for an upgrade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Like my CPU is literally like at 100% right now because I'm, I'm with Discord open and this Twitch stream open. So that's what's causing you to go 100. I have OBS. I got Twitch. I got all the applications. I got our audio stuff, Spotify. And I'm at like 30%. I have a nice 7, 9,700K.
Starting point is 00:23:31 so yeah you're desperately my temp my CPU temperature even though it's 100% 37 degrees right now and my GPUs at 33 degrees because I have a crack in G12 on it so my PC's running smoothly is just
Starting point is 00:23:51 the less I have to like switch between tabs and windows the better you know how you know how scary that is is that like I have all these applications going but you can't even handle just Discord and a Twitch stream. That's kind of crazy how technology advanced so far.
Starting point is 00:24:09 I remember back in 2012 when I had my first built a PC it took me like, I think it took me like 45 seconds to load. Like I would turn it on, I'll go downstairs, grab my water, ground my snacks come up, it'd still be loading.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I go use a restroom, come back and it goes. And that used to be like my thing. And I have an amazing picture of I had I reached to 9,999 ping in League of Legends once that was great that was that was the highlight of my career and I was just like this is awful
Starting point is 00:24:46 and then one of these days you have that picture I think I still do I'll see if I could take a look in my Google photos while we talk about the next one but it was it was ridiculous literally like oh my God I legit couldn't play I just it was just it just kept going up to it but then I got a new PC from
Starting point is 00:25:10 NZXT in 2019 when I interned and then boom it was all set I'm all set then yeah my my work PC is awesome I have a I9 over there with it's a 2028 oh hold on I found it I did not reach 9000 I reached 24,338 ping.
Starting point is 00:25:37 We should definitely post this. Post this thing. And I wasn't doing too bad. I only had two deaths. I didn't have any assists. And then I think I had like one kill before this thing just destroyed it. This is the,
Starting point is 00:25:52 yeah, this is a thing for the ages. I am going to build a new PC though during my paternity leave, I promise. That's one of my, one of my goals of my to-do list is to upgrade my PC finally. I'm going to have some time. I think I'll have time. Who knows? Yeah, I don't know why, but the new thing is...
Starting point is 00:26:17 Oh, you're carrying your screen, by the way? Yeah, I don't know. But, like, look at the bottom level, it says, pecan or pecan? I don't know. Windows is doing some weird stuff recently. All right, let's move on to the next one, shall we? It's pecan, by the way. Is it pecan?
Starting point is 00:26:35 I don't know. It's it. It's con. All right. All right. So the next one we got up. It's pecan. Pecan.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Pecan. I say pecan pie. I think I see pecan. Right? I think that's how, I know, like, apricot, apricot. Like, I never say apricot, but then, like, I'll have apricot pie or something like that. Pecan. All right.
Starting point is 00:27:04 For the next story, I think a lot of us have played it, especially me, is Halo Infinite's Steam player count. Sadly, Halo Infinite had a huge, if you guys remember Halo Infinite coming out, everyone was hyping us up. Tons of streamers are playing it. A lot of people had hype over it. It had 256,000 players at the beginning of its lifespan, which is November 2021. but however in the last month you can barely handle about 6,000 players around 5,700 the reason that most people believe
Starting point is 00:27:45 is the main drop-off is that fans are kind of being fed up with how 3-4-3 is kind of handling a lot of the content in it I know there's a big big debate over paying $5 for colors like if there's $5 for like a cosmetic sure but they're charging people 5 to $10 just to change their colors on their suits. Fans have also noticed that the developers have taken a long time to fix a lot of technical issues, a lot of bugs in the game.
Starting point is 00:28:13 And a lot of them, it just hasn't seen too much actual updates, any new content in it after, what is it, five, six months since its release. So hopefully we're getting some stuff. There is the new update coming out. There is the new season two update. I think it's called the Wolfs or something like that. So hopefully it looks like there's maybe some new maps and other content, but as of now, it sucks.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Did you ever play Halo with Finet, I mean? Yeah, actually not the new Halo, but I do think this sucks because I think Halo is an awesome game. And actually Halo, when Halo first came out, I don't even remember what year that must have been. but that was like the first game that really made me like play with other people like me and my friends would get you know meet up like a couple times a week and just you know get some sodas and chips and just play halo for hours and it's a fun game like halo is one of if not the greatest
Starting point is 00:29:25 game ever right it's a really awesome game and I think part of the problem, in my opinion, apart from the complaints people are bringing up, like, you know, paying the money and not fixing the bugs fast enough and just not having enough content and things like that is that there's also so much competition now. Like there's like, there's so many other video games people could be playing, you know, like Fortnite even, you know, like I don't play Fortnite, but, you know, it's definitely a competitor to Halo. and they're really quick with their updates. They do a lot of in-game stuff that people really enjoy. So it's really challenging, I think, to have a video game like Halo because there's just so much more competition now.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Whereas 20 years ago or whatever, when this game first came out, it was unique. That was like the only thing you can play was Halo that was like it, right? So hopefully they, you know, they fix it. because I do think it's a game worth playing. Yeah, I'm 100% with you. Like, I remember Halo 3, SWAT. SWAT was like the, if you guys remember SWAT,
Starting point is 00:30:41 it was the one where you had, like, no shield. And it was like headshots kill one shot. That was my game mode. Like, I was one of the top ranks for a little bit during that time. Like, I was for, I remember I locked all the helmets for the game, or at least the ones that you can unlock. I was one of the top ranks in rank swat. I'd play that, like, religiously.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Then Halo Reach came out. Reach was amazing. Probably actually, I don't even think Reach is probably one of my favorite games, even more than three, which is kind of crazy to say. But yeah, I know it's sad to see that Halo, something like, you know, I've grew up with, and actually, be told, I didn't even like Infinite that much. I played it.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I definitely played it for a little bit, but it just kind of did it. It just, it didn't hit. But yeah, I feel you on that. There's just so many other games to play. There's so much out there.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Yeah. Like, Stardu. Yeah, even that, yeah. And for me, like my favorite video game,
Starting point is 00:31:45 I'm actually wearing a t-shirt from that game. I'll show it on stream, the platy pie here. Yeah, my favorite video game, Super Mega Baseball 3, you know, I love this game.
Starting point is 00:31:57 And in my opinion, a lot more people should be playing it. But if you look at the concurrent players, like, it's literally like 100 people playing this game besides me. Like, no one plays this game. And it's a shame because I do think it's a great game. And I think it has the same problem that maybe Halo Infinite has where there's just tons of competition. You know, there's MLB the show and there's like Madden, there's NBA, 2K, like a lot of sports games. to choose from that are more popular that maybe have more content that maybe for whatever reason it's just more popular and I don't know I don't know what the answer is to
Starting point is 00:32:40 to give people to play a game when when people aren't but the end of the day I think people are still going to play the game if they like it right like I still play super mega baseball three even though not many people play it and it doesn't bother me that not that many people play it just because I still enjoy it. But a game like Halo is a little bit different just because I think that that type of game is supposed to be, you know, very competitive. And if you don't have a lot of people playing it,
Starting point is 00:33:12 then it's not as fun, right? We're at Super Mega Baseball 3. Yes, there's a competitive element to it because you could play against people online. There's other things to do within the game that don't require you to play against others say that it still make it really fun so we'll see
Starting point is 00:33:30 what happens with Halo Infinite man yeah and that kind of leads into the second question of this it's like I think there's a huge discrepancy of hype games and then games that are sustainable if you guys remember probably the two biggest
Starting point is 00:33:46 games especially during quarantine was Fall Guys and Among Us yeah I know Among Us and Fall Guys there are a bunch of thieves about it but like you also have to agree that these were the hyped games of all time all the streamers are playing it fall guys literally tim tim the top man having his lost streak and finally winning and then all of a sudden like he's on esPN of all things to among us where politicians like aOC were playing the game with streamers jimmy fowlin playing
Starting point is 00:34:18 game with streamers like it's it's insane like these games were so hyped but honestly it kind of died out I don't see as much content from them as much. And actually you do want to pull up the top games on Twitch right now. So if we look at the top games on Twitch, you can see even like it's not like Halo infant is a shooter, but you don't see like Valorant Apex CSGO, like CSGO has been here for forever. And it's still one of the top games. A Fortnite elder ring Minecraft GTA, obviously was GTA, RAPRP,
Starting point is 00:34:56 kind of popping off right now everyone's loving it league dota slots yes war zone harstone feta fifa music like these are all the top games here and i don't i legit don't see halo anywhere like it's sad to see it like oh yeah huge hype game for no man sky and super rage anger yeah we actually have an article on that later many about uh about no man sky but um yeah Exactly. GTA RP, the thing is that you never get bored. Yeah, it's weird because, like, I always thought games that had a lot of creativity in it, like Minecraft, GTARP, stuff like that where you can do stuff is going to be the game that you can always play no matter what. But then you see Valorant, Apex, League, Counterstrait, where it's basically the same game every single time you play, but it's still competitive. People try to be the best.
Starting point is 00:35:53 And Halo couldn't get to that point. So it's very interesting to see the dynamic of hype, hype games, to games that are being released that people do want to play, and it just continues on. Just chatting, best game, yes. But it is, it is kind of sad to see, it's kind of sad to see a game that I personally loved. I loved Halo, and then it's just, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:17 I think a lot of those top games, too, that are old, that are still on there on that list on Twitch, I think part of the reason why is because not only are they fun, but like they don't require like a beefy PC or an EGPU, right? And like in recently it was very hard to get your hands on
Starting point is 00:36:42 new computer parts. So maybe that's why like these games are always in styles just at CSGO you're going to get 300 FPS like no matter what you your setup is basically. you know true that's true like you can run valourin league and c s go on pretty much any game of minecraft you can run on a mac like i played it on my mac before um dj takes a little bit more just because it's you know such a big game but i mean a lot of these games i think i think i think
Starting point is 00:37:13 i think i think i ran it i got like 400 fps i was like what c sgo this game and it's just how it is so I think you are kind of right on that, is that based on how well can run is the popularity of it. Yeah. I kind of actually want to go into Minnie's question about No Man Sky, since we actually, let me pull up the video for this, actually, for the new Outlaws trailer. Let's go ahead and take a look at this. Is the new No Man Sky, well, not new, but one of the No Man Sky's Sky's. the updates that are coming out did you ever play
Starting point is 00:39:22 the first game first time no man sky was released Ivan briefly which I think was must have been god this must have been what
Starting point is 00:39:35 six years five six years ago yeah 2016 yep and yeah I did play it back then and I remember it was not very optimized in the beginning I haven't played it since.
Starting point is 00:39:51 Yeah, I'll go into the story of when I played it. It was 2016, so it was my end of high school. I just graduated. Or no, it was probably like mid-sad... So I was still in high school, senior year. And literally, me and my friends all bought the game. We all went to PlayStation chat. We're all like, all right, everyone, we're loading up.
Starting point is 00:40:14 We're going to have some fun. You know, I played it. I was super hyped. I was excited that this thing is like everyone's on this map. And it was boring. It was sad. Like all I did was just my materials had no idea what was going on. There's no quest markers, nothing like that.
Starting point is 00:40:33 It was just mine stuff, walk around, mine stuff, and mine. That was it. And everyone remembers the outrage of when it first happened. And it was sad. They even had to basically, like we literally could refund a game because of the outrage of it. Did you get a refund? I did get a refund.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Yes, I did. I did later go back to GameStop because I actually had this. I went back and just like, can I just get a full refund? And they're like, yeah, got it. And they just gave it to me. And I'm like, great. And I walked away. Yeah, it was beautiful, but lacking creativity for gameplay.
Starting point is 00:41:15 And that's kind of like, I have one thing, like, I have to commend Hello Games for really making No Man Sky amazing now, although it's been six years later. It's amazing. But the problem, the question that I kind of want to ask, Ivan, is like, what's your opinion on games that aren't finished? That shouldn't be released yet. But then they are released, but they're just going to be either a beta or they will receive updates. dates down the road. Like, what's your opinion on gains not being released fully?
Starting point is 00:41:49 I don't think anything should ever be released unless is ready to be played. Right? And that's why I ask you if you were able to get a refund because I don't know how I feel about
Starting point is 00:42:03 about being able to get a refund for a game after you've played it. It seems a little weird to me. I don't know. Like, if I got a refund for everything I didn't like, I refunded a lot of stuff, I think. Yeah, but I think this was a very special case.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Wreck and Run actually brings it up, but like actually what happened was it was functionally broken. There was multiplayer, but I don't think it was the way that people were expecting it. You couldn't join other people's things. You had to find them in the world, which was kind of weird. Unreal amount of game-breaking glitches. So, yeah, it kind of was, I think it was kind of one of those things where people were outraged of it and they're like hey this isn't what i wanted to buy and i think
Starting point is 00:42:49 sony was like yeah this this is understandable go ahead and do it um but yeah it's kind of the same thing what happened with cyberpunk i remember people had the outrage of it uh but that kind of happened with witcher uh if anyone remember is witcher um it was the same thing about it uh sorry got a thing uh like witcher was the same thing about it like it was awful at the start but then it became literally one of the the best games of all time. Like you can't say that Witcher is not one of the best games of all time, how well it's made, the combat, the story. It's literally one of the best.
Starting point is 00:43:26 So it's kind of one of those things where I think they have to release because of investors, because they have a release date and they do it. But I never really like the idea that this is the norm now, that they release games that are in beta, that are in beta for years. or they are very unfinished and then all of a sudden there's like okay we'll update down the road i never understood that yeah witcher three wallet hunt was amazing it's an amazing game guys but again witcher three came out years ago before it actually became somewhere decent so it's kind
Starting point is 00:44:02 of one of those things where it's like it's interesting the ironic thing about cyberpunk to me was uh as everyone was complaining about it like not not working it worked fine for me on Because I was playing on Google Stadia. Oh, Stadia. Wow. He was flawless. It was rigging perfectly for me. So I thought that was interesting.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Yeah, I, Stadia is a very interesting time. We'll talk about that down the road. But, yeah, I see, yeah, it was a, it's a, Witcher was amazing. Witcher is a great book. They had two anime, or not two movies,
Starting point is 00:44:43 two shows. They had one that's like an anime, style that one's amazing and then they have the actual like live action show was uh henry cavil that one's amazing i really enjoyed it um which is a great game like which is a great series all in general books see i'm actually gonna be reading you're never truly you kind of look like henry cavil me yeah no no not even just get out of here yeah yeah sure sure um but yeah no it's like i think there's a fine line between I mean, I understand that they have to release it, but also it sucks because I love, I want to buy games and play the hype of it.
Starting point is 00:45:25 There was a very amazing TikTok. I can't remember who it was, but they talked about the differences between games that are in beta for years versus a fully made game ready to go that is full price, but it is ready to go with no, basically no in-game purchases. Eldon Ring. Alden Ring is a fully made game. Like, it was perfect. Like, I mean, obviously, there were glitches. Obviously, they have to update it. That's a given.
Starting point is 00:45:52 But it was a fully made game that was full price. But when people bought it, they were able to play. Red Dead Red Dead Red Dead to do, exactly. Same thing as well. Like, Red Dead was an amazing game. I played that con. I literally spent a whole winter playing that game in college. And it was a full game.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Exactly. Rec and run, yeah, you're right. it was a full game. Red Dead is another game I play on Google Stadium. Really? Yeah. Was it fun?
Starting point is 00:46:19 Did you like the stadium? I do like Stadia because you know, a lot of people did give them crap for playing on Google Stadia because they know I work at a computer company and they're like, why don't you play on a computer? Honestly,
Starting point is 00:46:33 the biggest reason why is because I, yes, I work at a computer company and if I really wanted to, I could play it on the computer. But I sit at the computer all day long. And for me, when I'm done with work, the last thing I want to do is to sit on my computer and play video games, right? So when I have time, you know, to play video games, I either want to pick up my switch and sit in my rocking chair. Like legit, I play on a rocking chair. Or, you know, sit on my couch, put my feet up and get some popcorn and just play on Google Stadia.
Starting point is 00:47:08 and I have really fast internet. You know, I have, what is it, Fios, you know, so it works fine for me. Like, I don't notice any sort of lag or anything like that. So I think Google Stadio is cool. I know a lot of people trash it, but for me, it's definitely a fun way
Starting point is 00:47:26 to play video games because I don't have to worry about, you know, buying the game on a computer or having a computer or having some sort of, like, streaming device from my PC to my television or anything like that, I literally just turn on my
Starting point is 00:47:44 controller and it works fine. So I like it. Nice. A couple of things in the chat. Brad Devredavit didn't have online when it was released from Cheeto. Zero one. That is true. It did not have online, but to be told, I would still enjoy
Starting point is 00:48:00 the game and I still call it one of the best games of all time just based on the single player alone with the open world. Online which has a little icing on the top. online I've had I had a great time on reddit online so you know what it's to be told I could have just played that game just for fun and I would have enjoyed it with a single player but then yeah um B J6 is talking taking so much yep exactly rockstar is just good rockstar is just a good company in general um not that I care too much about reddardt
Starting point is 00:48:29 two it's fun but I bought it for a single player yeah exactly oh literally same thing I didn't even read that yeah exactly I didn't buy red that two for online I bought it for a single player but then When Red Dead Online went on, it was great. Reda didn't claim it was going to have multiplayer on release. It was insane. Yep. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Exactly. That's, I think, something that's, that's, like, I am 100% for is you give them the game that they asked for. Then you add in certain things like Red Dead Online, something new, something they weren't expecting, as a little icing. And if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but it's extra versus I want to play the game. Oh, I can't play the game. like that's that's the worst feeling yeah right right red dead now dude oh dude red dad my friends were addicted to red dead online for like weeks literally i i i forgot what i was doing i was doing something else uh but they were like hey i want to play red dead
Starting point is 00:49:26 and i want to play red dead and they played it for weeks i remember that that was funny oh and i have a funny story about red dead one of our uh one of my friends uh spoiled the ending to multiple or just one of my friends. I think he's in the chat right now. He's actually one of my co-workers. Oh, okay. So, okay, he hasn't played a Red Dead, so I won't spoil anything,
Starting point is 00:49:48 but he literally spoiled the exact ending of it and goes, dang, this sucks. Spoiler. It was one of the best, one of the best things. Oh, yeah, there it is. There he is. What's up, Cooper? I bought it, then got it instantly spoiled.
Starting point is 00:50:04 It's me. Yep, there's Cooper right there. Oh, have you played... Do you remember Red Dead Red Dead Redemption 1 with Red Dead zombies? Yeah, I do, actually. That was a fun game, too. So fun. I got all the horses.
Starting point is 00:50:21 What was it? It was... There was the one that had basically almost... It was death, I think. Or pestilence. The one that could basically run forever, that was my favorite. I feel like... So Rockstar
Starting point is 00:50:34 and probably Devolver... In my opinion, I've never made a bad video game. Like, any game that they make is just fun for me. What's the Vover? What did they make? Hotline, Miami. Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. 100%. A lot of games.
Starting point is 00:50:58 The most recent one was the Pedro. The Pedro volume where he shoots bananas. No, I have not seen that one. My friend Pedro, I think it's called. Oh, wow. They've done some amazing games. Here, I'll pull up the thing real quick. Like, look at all the games that they've released.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Series Sam, everyone should know that game. Duke Nukem 3D. Everyone, yeah. Let's see, anything else? Hall-I-M-My-2. Fantastic game. Enter to Gungeon. That one.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Awesome game. super fun game that everyone should play let's see Connor reins the swords of ditto yeah Sirius Sam classics Metal Wolf Chaos Chaos
Starting point is 00:51:48 Series Sam again oh yeah I forgot they they they helped publish fall guys Hmm yeah Oh returned to Monkey Island Yeah they helped publish with I remember I read an article up here
Starting point is 00:52:02 Yeah in August 2020 devolver digital published Mediotonics of all guys pretty cool I guess actually that kind of is it's begun or but god god damn
Starting point is 00:52:18 dupy we're going to say something about that that's actually going to lead us into the next portion of this news thing that we want to try out which is game reviews we kind of want to recommend a game that everyone should play
Starting point is 00:52:35 that everyone you know we're not we're not sponsored in any way we're not you know like being paid to say these are just games that we do enjoy
Starting point is 00:52:45 especially for me this is my this is my game right here and I want to recommend Risk of Rain 2 Risk of Rain 2 amazing game if you guys do not have this game
Starting point is 00:52:56 it is unlike anything else backstory Risk Rain 2 is a road like third person shooter so basically if you play games like cod zombies where you survive hordes of zombies you get stronger as time passes
Starting point is 00:53:12 but the things also like the enemies also get stronger and you're trying to go as long as possible that's like that's what you want to do so too long TLDR you play a survivor there's like multiple survivors each have abilities your job is to kill enemies get gold unlock chess to get items you get stronger from these items
Starting point is 00:53:34 kill more enemies, get more gold, unlock more chest, get more items. They just keep going until you basically become impossible to kill. You go through stages. Basically, I'll show you guys a clip of what it's like. My old tip me, I'm 100% still ticking. There we go. Sorry about that, guys. My thing just crashed randomly.
Starting point is 00:54:01 But I do want to show a couple videos of some of the stuff that you can. can see in this game like it is amazing there we go so you have all these abilities down here and you see all these items you can literally gain all these things and items stack so you can literally like become gods in this game let me see if i can go to a portion of the video oh here it is where i try to go to the bot oh here it is okay so we this is the teleporter boss and you see see how fast I'm moving. Usually don't move this fast, but look how much chaos is in this screen.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Yeah, what is going on here? There's so much happening in this game. Like, look at that. That's just, that's not even like, it gets to the, there's even portions where you literally can just stand still and kill everything on a stage. It is amazing. Probably one of my favorite games of all time.
Starting point is 00:55:00 If you had the ability to buy this game, do it. literally you can do almost anything in this game item stack like I said so here I want to show one clip of this as well so you can see this is how God why is the setting so bad so as you can see here
Starting point is 00:55:26 this is like how you usually run in this game so this guy has 10 syringes which increases your attack speed I don't stack in this game so you see how his attack speed is kind of getting faster? Yeah. Watch until they add the thousand. Watch is wait for it. Actually, I'll skip a little bit as. Okay. Watch this. Like invincible. Yeah. I'd have stacked this game, which means you could go from 1% attack speed to 1 billion attack speed, depending on what you want to do.
Starting point is 00:56:03 100% recommend this game, guys. It is so fun. The music in this game is all Also fantastic. I'll play a small clip of the music that you play on stream. I think it down with this. It kind of sounded like the Tetris effects music a little bit. It kind of does. Oh, sorry, I am echoing a little bit. But yeah, seriously, guys, play this game.
Starting point is 00:56:38 It's amazing. It's probably one of my favorite games of all time. um before dmca hopefully not if they uh if they cash it my bad i'll just meet this portion of the video oh yeah by the way you can mod the game you can play as many things you can mod it to any sort of thing this is called risk of rain too uh arian um you can mod the game you guys can play as goku by the way so if you guys want to play as goku you're more to welcome to the modding community in this game is amazing it's like lefford dead where it's just,
Starting point is 00:57:13 mods just make the game so much better. That is my review of... Mods make games better, but they make servers worse, right? Yeah, but it's worth it. I mean, come on, I want to play as Goku, bad. You can't, you can't, you can't,
Starting point is 00:57:31 you can't stop me on that. Yeah, and I think, I think that's all for what I wanted to do. Next, we're going to continue. If you guys like these type of stuff, If you guys can, if you guys like the game news that we just did, the game reviews or anything, let us know. You're more than welcome to.
Starting point is 00:57:54 Let us know if you guys liked it, disliked it, and anything like that. But you guys are more to welcome to as each team mods are the meanest ever. Yep, especially that one. Yes. Yes. Especially mini. God. Can't.
Starting point is 00:58:05 Nah. Get, get, get Minnie out. I think that's it. Should I go into this next new segment? We can. actually go for it. So the reason for all these new segment ideas here is because we want to experiment a little bit with the podcast and kind of, you know, see what you guys like, see what you guys don't like, et cetera. So we're mixing things up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:58:33 So we usually answer a lot of questions from the podcast, but we thought it would be interesting if today instead we ask questions. on our Instagram stories or ask people to ask us questions on Instagram stories and then answer them live on the podcast. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to post on Instagram stories and I'm going to ask people to ask us anything and then I'm just going to go down the list and answer a few questions here.
Starting point is 00:59:05 So let me do that. We get, I'm sure if someone's going to ask for a free computer, Mike. Oh, 100%. As always, that's always the thing. No, I'll ask it too. All right. So first question, can you give me a laptop? The answer is, sure I can.
Starting point is 00:59:28 I'll give you my laptop because I don't even use it. I have a laptop here. I do use it, I guess, occasionally, but not a lot. So you can have my laptop. And that's Cap Abad. Jaser here asks. not even a question, but they just make a statement, new case please. And I guess if that was a question, I would tell them, well, we're always working on new stuff, not just cases.
Starting point is 01:00:00 And I can't confirm when the next one's going to come out, but cases are pretty much are bread and butter. That's what we're primarily known for still. So I can guarantee you there will be new NZC cases coming out in the future. Could you guys please do mesh front cases? We have them. We have the H510 flow. Cameron. Cameron Kruger asks,
Starting point is 01:00:25 sponsor me and I'll only buy NZXT products for my PC for the rest of my life. Oh, you're sponsored by us. You don't need to buy. Yeah. Herbie 77 asks, can you send me some parts for free for my first PC, please? The answer is no.
Starting point is 01:00:46 or B, I cannot. Braem Lema says, can you also use the custom keyboard cables for charging a tablet or a phone? You know, I know they're not designed for that, but I can confirm you can because I recently did that myself.
Starting point is 01:01:08 I charged my pixel 3 or my pixel 5A. I think it's 5A. on my keyboard cable the other day when I was at the office. Next question is here from Hewowow. They ask NZXT RAM when. I don't know when, but I do think it would be cool to make RAM. I always make the joke that if we do make RAM,
Starting point is 01:01:36 we should call it goat just because I think that'd be funny. I don't know that's going to happen or not, but it would be interesting. And that depends on the product team. Yeah. It would have been interesting that we did make RAM. Like RAM, GPU, CPUs, CPUC-Pochees. Yeah. Yeah, I think the RGB RAM would be in nice.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Since we had the motherboard, throw it up there, that would be so nice. Like white RAM, oh. White motherboard, white RAM. Oh, Rob, 3943 ask, do you like pizza? The answer is, yes, I love pizza. eat pizza pretty much every Friday at night I order a pizza about you Mike? Yeah, I do like pizza. I try not to eat it because I am trying to watch what I eat.
Starting point is 01:02:25 Back in college, I like didn't work out. I just like kind of let myself go. So now I'm on the, you know, working out eating healthy thing. I don't eat pizza as much. But I do. Someone puts a pizza in front of me for free. Oh yeah. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
Starting point is 01:02:42 Yes. Yes, it does. It's good. It's sweet. There's sour. With my wife every Friday, because my favorite pizza topping is, I love Hawaiian pizza, so ham and pineapple. My wife hates it, so we never end up getting it. But I, yes, pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza. It's the idea of, like, you have sweet and you also have, like, the tanginess of, like, actual meats and stuff. It's good. Sweet and sour. Literally sweet and sour chips. Basically the same thing. Yeah. Those that don't say it, your palettes aren't good. Mazzie Media asks, Ivan, what are the names planned for your daughters? So I'm only planning the name for one because one's already here.
Starting point is 01:03:32 My four-year-old daughter, her name is Olivia. And my new daughter, that is not here yet, her name is, Her name is Rebecca. And they have middle names, but I won't bore you with those. Eric Garcia-9 asked, not a question, but y'all are amazing. Thank you, Eric. Thank you, Eric. Just Us Kik asked, where's my free PC? The answer is, I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:04:02 I'll let you know once I figure out where the free computers are. That was Aila asked, can I have a banana? and the answer is yes you can have a banana anyone can have a banana oh I like these next couple questions up here which
Starting point is 01:04:20 um I'm Tyler Jesser do you want to ask it I don't think I see it yet oh yeah just refresh your thing is what's the most aesthetically pleasing build you've designed
Starting point is 01:04:31 I like that question me personally probably honestly it's probably my the computer on my desk right now It's part of the reason why I haven't upgraded in my computer in seven years or whatever since I've built it, just because it's awesome. In the Manticase, I have a Crackin 280 in front in PushPill configuration that goes to my Crackin G12. And then I have a massive CryoRig R1 Ultimate Air Cooler that doesn't feel.
Starting point is 01:05:12 fit in any other NGT case except for this one because that's how big it is and um it just looks awesome to me and i love the look of it so probably the one on my desk right now how about you most aesthetically pleasing build or thing that we've designed oh man i don't know a couple good things um honestly i really like the um h2 to page 2 10 like those are one of my favorite like builds like I love mini ITX builds sadly the stuff that I do I can't really I need like bigger stuff because I do a lot of like rendering and video effects so I need like a big PC for that but yeah I love I love mini ITX and like H1 and stuff like that I'd love like small form factor small aesthetically looking pleasing stuff because I'm a very
Starting point is 01:06:06 minimalist person so I'd like to have everything kind of like a place for itself but I love everything This one, what's this? Mini posted a beautiful picture of your old case, Ivan. Oh, yeah. And I do not eat. Yeah. This is Vivian's dog. I love the cigarette bomb.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Actually, Ivan was the one. Actually, I can grab it here. Ivan was the main reason why my sticker bomb. My old case. Switch over to the fake cam. Yeah, this is the reason why. I sticker bond my case. I have it as decoration.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I'm glad I inspired you to do something. Something positive. I like sticker bombs because it just shows so much personality. I haven't sticker bond my H-10 flow yet, but I will soon. Kimmel Fan 40 says or asks, is there any ideas of shipping directly to all Nordic countries? I would want the build kit. The answer is, I hope so.
Starting point is 01:07:25 hope we can one day ship to everywhere in the world. Right now that is not the case, but we are slowly but surely expanding. We started, you know, we were primarily, where we were only, like a U.S. only company for a long time. Like we only shipped to the U.S. And now, you know, you can buy NZXD computers in Germany, Italy, France, Australia. So little by little we're getting to where you guys are. There's one question I do want. If you're June,
Starting point is 01:08:02 ask how long does it take to ship a PC? If you order it, it takes two business days. So make sure to account for weekends. So whenever you order, it will ship within two business days. And then depending on which shipping method you choose. So if you chose like the standard three to six,
Starting point is 01:08:17 you do Express, one to three overnight and delivers during the next business day. So just keep an eye on weekends. and just also figure out like, you know, when you need to buy. But it doesn't take too long. It takes maybe a week or so for it from like the day you order to when you receive it. Just depends on where you are, what shipping method you choose, stuff like that. Tyler, Jesser, ask, what's the most powerful build your company has made?
Starting point is 01:08:43 And I think I know the answer to this. I believe the real answer is that we built a $12,000. PC for Unbox Therapy They have a video I think the video is called like a I think the video is called like the $12,000 Fortnite PC or something like that
Starting point is 01:09:06 But the fake answer Is we also A while ago built a PC for Soldier Boy of all people And I remember this was like so funny Like he was on TMZ And they asked him and started
Starting point is 01:09:24 asking questions and then he started like going off on this like not a ramp but he's like talking about how he's like a pro gamer now and how he has a $20,000 PC so I guess it's either it's either Soldier Boys PC. Do you remember specs in his PC? Do you remember any? We're not the specs but it definitely was not a $20,000 PC. I do remember that. It wasn't if you're listening and I'm sorry Solja Boy. Oh You might want to find that clip Just search Soldier Boy TMZ I'm sure it's out there
Starting point is 01:09:59 Try to look it up real quick While you do that I will answer a few more questions Quistie Ask Pepsi or Coke The answer is neither I'm a I'm more of a
Starting point is 01:10:12 Seltzer water kind of guy I drink like six cans of seltzer every day I know it's bad for the environment so I'm looking into getting a Seltzer machine soon How about you, Pepsi your Coke, Mike? I actually don't drink that much
Starting point is 01:10:28 soda in general, but if I had to choose, I probably would do Coke. Syracuse was, my college was a Pepsi kind of company, or Pepsi school, which I was in the biggest fan of it. It's not bad. I think I'm just used to Coke, but I don't drink soda in general. I try not to.
Starting point is 01:10:50 I do want to answer one question. How after do you guys restock inventory? I'm looking to build a PC. things before yeah so the um stock depends on really there's so much going on in the world that it really it's it's random before we used to say like it would restock every couple like a week or so maybe a couple days maybe even two to three weeks now it's kind of it's all over the place um if you guys have seen the global like world right now uh COVID's still kind of around you know still kind affected some manufacturing of the ports by us are all super backed up um look into that just look up like
Starting point is 01:11:29 california ports and you'll see like carriers beyond just sitting there um the war going on right now has caused a lot of issues with basically getting stuff out um you know so keep an eye out for that um it really i wish i could say anything more than it's random it just depends on whenever we get stuff never retailers get stuff and whenever they can ship it to us so hopefully crossing our fingers the world becomes normal soon everything becomes more normal COVID's disappeared the war hopefully end soon there's a bunch of stuff going on but there's just a bunch of stuff going on but hopefully we get as soon as soon as possible things aren't normal yet but they're getting better they're getting better like oh my god beginning of COVID was awful oh my gosh nothing could get through no no one could
Starting point is 01:12:16 physically work so much just going on it was it was rough Official A B, D, OVO vocalist asks, How can I be your graphic designer to design your posts, et cetera? And the answer to that is you can apply at nz-XC.com slash careers. I don't know if we're actively hiring for graphic designers at the moment, but we have a bunch of job openings available. So if anyone is interested in working at NZXT, please apply there. Here's a good word for you, Mike.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Yep. Ashen Felter Jacob asked, do you like playing solo games or multiplayer games more? Ooh, that's a good question. I would say my favorite games are all-time are solo games. Super Mario Sunshine, Oriental Blind Forest, Red Die Red Die Red Dev Redemption 2. games that have a good story
Starting point is 01:13:18 leave a bigger impact on me but if I want to play with my friends multiplayer games oh that's a good question yeah I say I say friends 100% multiplayer games but physically like my favorite games of all time has to be single player games has to be no there's there's just
Starting point is 01:13:38 you can't you can't name us like a multiplayer game out there that I can't just go no that's just wrong there's a single player game that beats that Yeah, I think single player would Trump's multi any day. Yeah. I think the story. Stories just leave a bigger impact than just playing a couple games. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Fat Raccoon asks, do you like jazz? And the answer is... I actually do. I really enjoy jazz. I... To me, jazz is my work music because when I'm... When I'm, you know, working on something and I'm listening to, into music. If I play anything that has lyrics, I can't focus. So I do listen to a lot of jazz.
Starting point is 01:14:23 Love me some Miles Davis. It's probably my favorite jazz musician. How about you, Mike, you like jazz? I do like jazz. I don't listen to it a lot, but there is a Spotify playlist that I have here called, here it is, I'll show it on the thing. P-O-V, listening to jazz while cooking dinner in my dream kitchen. It's just this is one of my favorite ones is when I cook I have a lot of time that I have to you know go do your thing so
Starting point is 01:14:56 I this this playlist by the way POV listening to jazz while cooking in your dream kitchen fantastic. I've never vibed while making chicken breasts and air frying stuff in my entire life. It's amazing. Ashmit 127 asks when is the new keyboard and mouse coming to India?
Starting point is 01:15:19 So that's a tricky one because, you know, where we don't sell directly, we have to kind of rely on our retailers to carry our parts. And a lot of times, you know, not a lot of times, like every time we can't force people to like stock our parts, right? So my first recommendation is to check nzxt.com slash retailers and just, you know, go down the list and find a store near you and ask them if they have our parts there and if they don't, you know, you can tell them to order it. They may or may not. It's really going to be up to the retailer. But hopefully, if enough people ask, they will take you seriously and order it for it.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Lazarus BZ says, make ram. Not a question, but we'll do. Just make ram. C-Dog 2020 or C-Dog-22 says, they didn't want. to ask anything, I just want to wish you a good day. Well, thank you, Seedog. Good day to you as well, my friend. Mr. Matt Lee asked, what games are you currently playing? Also, what's your all-time favorite game? Go for it, Mike. What was it? It was all-time favorite game and what? What game are you currently playing? And what's your all-time favorite game?
Starting point is 01:16:42 Game I'm currently playing. Uh, just a couple. Why? You pull it up. Hunt Showdown. if anyone plays hunt showdown also another fantastic game that's probably the game i'll probably recommend next week uh oh yeah yeah we have one next week um hunt showdown uh let's see oh tetris petris 100 percent um and then i play a couple i play league of legends and tfti love love these games again these are all multiplayer games that i play with friends but I do have two games that I want to play which is I want to finish up Witcher 3 I'm only about like 60% of the way done
Starting point is 01:17:22 I still need to finish it and then Hades I still have not played Hades I bought it during the Steam Somersale so I've played it For me I'm currently playing Tetris as well because we kind of revived the the employee game days right thanks to Vigian so we've been playing a lot of Tetris lately but my all-time favorite game
Starting point is 01:17:43 probably probably Super Mario 3 I think like that game I can Yeah that game I can Literally play anytime and like I won't be bored I love that game And my favorite of all time is Super Mario Sunshine That Super Mario games are just
Starting point is 01:18:03 You can't beat It's just hard to beat We have a surprisingly A high number of questions about us making RAM For some reason People want RAM People don't want the aesthetic I think a lot of it
Starting point is 01:18:17 You know, people still want like a performance-based PC, but I think a lot now since PCs are kind of becoming like an aesthetic that they want like something that looks good and stuff. And I think with the Z, you know, what, what's the N7 with the new cases like the new flow with the white white motherboard, white cracking, white RAM would just look really good. I know some people have been spray painting their GPUs recently to white, which is kind of crazy for me to see. that that people were spray painting their GPUs you're doing it purple ram purple ram ooh I like the purple setting purple which now we instead of answering more questions from stories let's answer some from here from the Twitch chat ravevo revocracy I think I'm saying it right he says or they they ask do you guys offer any warranty on the refurbished builds Yes, we do.
Starting point is 01:19:19 It still comes with a two-year warranty. The return policy, I don't, I remember, I think you can't return it. However, it does have a two-year warranty like every other PC. So if it doesn't work, something's wrong with it. You got two years to basically be like, yeah, we googie.
Starting point is 01:19:37 You got two years to break it. Two years to break it. You got two years to break it. And hopefully, nothing bad happens. Please do not break your PC. legally we have to say do not do that we are not advocating it but if anything does break anything contact or support team nzxte.com slash support call us give us a chat oh it is same policy oh great new and refiller builds have a two-week refund thank you cooper 14 days from the
Starting point is 01:20:04 day of delivery thank you cooper i did not realize they changed that great fantastic thank you cooper Retro Gaming by Bygones Adam Ask my PC has to serve multiple purposes And one of those is audio podcasts and voiceovers I'm really interested in the H1 But I'm worried about background noise Comparing the H1 and started PC pre-builds
Starting point is 01:20:27 Which is better in regards to noise floor I can actually answer this one Noise Floor is a little bit difficult I mean you don't really have too much experience in audio, right? Well, I actually do have a, not with like, not with like with our computers, but I do have
Starting point is 01:20:49 an opinion on this. Okay, go for it. All right. So, I do think that the starter PC will be a little bit quieter just because the H1 is more compact. And typically, the smaller something is, you know, the louder it's going to be.
Starting point is 01:21:08 However, with that being said, I do think the noise of the computer is, I don't think it's going to be picked up as much as you think it will be. And I'm saying that just because, like, for example, Discord has this noise cancellation. Invita has this noise suppression stuff. Every microphone that I know of, you know, filters out background noise, et cetera. So I don't think it's going to be noticeable if you're working on. on audio, podcasts, and voiceovers to be on this. Yep, Cooper actually literally said the same exact thing as you, Ivan, is both would not be completely silent.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Started will be a little quieter due to H1 being smaller in size, which is true. But you can also, don't forget, during certain softwares, OBS, Adobe Audition, stuff like that, you can add filters into your thing. Like I can, on my OBS right now, I have five different filters. I have a gain, a compressor, an expander,
Starting point is 01:22:06 a noise suppression, and a limiter. So just look up like whatever software you're using, whatever software using like mic settings, and you should be able to find something that works well for you. Don't don't feel like because the PC will make any sound, it should be, it should be okay. A lot of software out there can help you with that. I think that's different questions, Mike. All right. All right, let's wrap it up.
Starting point is 01:22:41 Oh, let's go to the announcements real quick. Just reiterate some announcements. We just watched the new creator PC series, so we have three different types of creators. Check out our website, nz60.com, and go to the creator section to learn more about the base plus and pro models. Let's see. Oh, next, we did launch the new function keyboard, including a new bare bones option. the new lift mouse also new mouse pads
Starting point is 01:23:13 check out our peripheral tab on our website to learn more let's see thank you Ivan for the links I was actually about to grab those well one thing since you mentioned it we actually haven't announced it on social yet but you said bare bones
Starting point is 01:23:32 so it was available actually the bare bones keyboard is available now on our configurator if you wanted to purchase that separately so you can install your own switches and your own key caps. The reason why we haven't announced it on social media yet
Starting point is 01:23:49 is just because we're waiting for some website updates to go through today, but since you leaked it, I figured might as well tell people listening live. Whoops, my bad. No biggie. It's out there already. You can leak anything. Don't worry. Sure.
Starting point is 01:24:04 Oh, apply to our partner program. Please be patient. We're getting through a ton of applications right now. But if you guys want to take a look at the partner program, I know some people here were interested in being, you know, working with us and stuff like that. Take a look at the partner program.
Starting point is 01:24:18 It's pretty fun. Our copywriter, Kendall, built their PC. So anyone here that has never built a PC before that is scared, they don't know what's going on. Do not feel scared. Our copywriter built their first PC, wrote all about it in the blog look at it she goes she goes through everything as well she's scared she's nervous she does amazing oh and then uh Greg Salazar's recent video about the
Starting point is 01:24:50 creator PC series if you guys want to win one of these amazing creator PCs literally probably one of our best PCs out there right now joined a giveaway win one it's amazing and I think that is it for announcements do we have anything else that you want to include anything you want to say? The only thing I want to say is kind of what we talked about earlier.

You know, let us know what you think. Yeah, if you guys are, you guys have any things that you want to see, like I see,
Starting point is 01:25:35 Speller you say will you ever build a PC on stream? Send that over to the podcasting because we want to get that data so that if a bunch of people are like, hey, can you build one on stream? We'll do a section on that 100%. One thing we're going to do too is we're going to make a form.
Starting point is 01:25:51 So during the podcast, probably next week's podcast, we'll have an official form that you guys can submit and just let us know what you think about the podcast. Even if you hate it, let us know because we want to make it better. Yeah, seriously. Like if you guys like the game,
Starting point is 01:26:05 gaming news you guys hated it you guys liked the game reviews you guys hate it you guys hate us throw it into there go for it yeah you don't have to like the podcast you just have to listen to it exactly yes pc building competition on the podcast that would be fun see who builds it the fastest we grab a couple builders that are like the best how about who do we in between me and you i think you would i'm a pretty slow builder um yeah i think i think you would win but I think I'm pretty good at cable managing. Like, I'm really good at cable managing. It just takes me forever to do it.
Starting point is 01:26:42 Yeah, I think I would have went to. Yeah. Oh, you also, how many PCs have you built in your time? Do you know? A lot. Maybe, but not 100, but definitely, someone between 50 and 100 for sure. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:27:01 Yeah, I've built maybe five. I built two or three No, I built three of mine And then I built two of my friend's PCs Him and his wife So yeah You are you are in Well back in the day when
Starting point is 01:27:18 When our company was much smaller You know before we even Sold computers You know whenever we had to build the computer for anything Like an event or like an influencer or anything Like We literally had to just do it ourselves So I think the most I ever built for anything was
Starting point is 01:27:39 I built 16 computers for the Rocket League Championship series. Oh, right, because we were one of their sponsors. I forgot about that. I even rented a U-Haul truck and loaded up all the computers in there and drove them to the and like delivered them and set them up myself. Wow. Because now there's so many people here, like we have people that just build computers, right?
Starting point is 01:28:01 And it's cool. but yeah I kind of had to build them out of necessity so I learned the hard way I things you can get fast yeah but I mean now you can build it I mean you helped me with my PC when I first went first entered there in 2019 your first one to help me out was mine and it worked out perfectly I am I am the best Mike you are the best all right I think we'll end it off here thank you guys for joining us or remember to tune in live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific standard time on the official ncd Twitch and don't forget to listen to previous episodes on Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
