Hello, everyone.
And welcome to episode 126 of the NZXT podcast, the official podcast of the NXT community.
This podcast is recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Center time on the official NZXT Twitch and is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
My name is Mike.
And with me, as always, is Ivan.
Ivan, how are you doing?
I'm doing good.
How it do, baby, boo?
Doing pretty, pretty good.
I think we have a very special.
special guest with us today, right, Ivan?
Yes. Continuing our Pride Month series, we have our second NZXT partner and Pride
Ambassador on the show today. Her name is Bree, aka Woofee. How are you doing?
Good, good, good, good. Super excited.
Yeah, according to your tweet, you were very nervous.
I am. I'm shaking. Just relax.
Don't be nervous. It's going to be fun.
You get nervous before this, even though you streamed, you get nervous before most
streams and stuff like that yeah i don't know why like anything early in the morning i just like
get really fidgety i don't know i have a problem sleeping beforehand and then waking up getting
ready and then i do it and then i'm fine right but if it's like later in the day i don't have an
issue so i don't know what's wrong with me maybe it's just like morning anxiety i don't know
so weird um well as you start off for for those that don't know who you are can you
briefly explain a little bit about yourself, what you do, what your pronouns are, etc., etc.
Yeah, so again, I'm Bree or Woofie.
I go by She-Hur, and I'm an artist slash gamer slash just chatting streamer,
Reactor, Reactor, A&D, all that stuff.
So, yeah, that's what I do.
I love it.
Super fun.
What sort of games do you play for fun?
Let's see.
So I'm very much addicted to league, which is really bad.
If anyone is a mobile player, you would know the pain.
But other than that, then it's like, I play Eldon Ring since it's new.
And I think it, I don't know, I just think it's an amazing game.
And other than that, I'll play like multiplayer stuff with a few friends and like collab with a few different streamers and stuff like that.
So whatever anyone else wants to play, I'm always down.
I don't think I've ever met a person who played League of Legends without being addicted to it.
It's bad. It's a really bad addiction. If anyone is even questioning, oh, I see my friends playing league. I should, no. Don't do it. Don't do it to yourself.
What role do you play? Or who's your champion that you main?
So I was a support main when I first went to League of Legends. And I was a champion.
I was a Nautilus player.
I peaked at Diamond with Nautilus, and then I quit.
I was super proud of myself, and I quit, like, for multiple seasons, and now I'm back
into it, which is really bad.
And now I'm in ADC, and Jin is my go-to right now.
Gin is, I think everyone agrees that Jen is probably the best, like, best well-made character,
just everything about it.
I love Gin.
I think Gin is amazing.
Did you know that if you look at the keyboard, the gin, it still makes a four with his letters, J-H-I-N?
Oh, I, oh, too-shae.
What?
I never even thought about it.
Ivan, if you don't know, Jin, everything, everything revolves around four.
He has like four shots, four letters is his name.
And apparently, I found out that his, if you look at the keyboard, J-H-I-N makes a four, which is crazy.
I never even thought about that.
That's insane.
That's so odd.
Yeah, they really did their thing.
That makes me like them even more.
I love that champion.
I have a quick question.
What made you want to get into?
Like, was it like a friend?
Did you do it on accidents?
And it just stumbled into it?
So, when I went off to college, I ended up,
your freshman year, you have to live on campus.
So it's like a co-ed floor.
at the school that I went to.
And the guys across the hall for me would always be screaming.
Always be screaming.
And I'm like, what are you guys doing?
And then I go and they're playing league.
I was like, league, what is this?
And then so I go in, I'm watching these guys just nerd out playing some weird game that I'd
never seen before.
And at the time, I was a console player.
So like seeing people playing on computers, I was like, what are you doing?
And so.
I ended up building my own PC because of them.
So we all built our own custom PC our first year at college.
And I ended up learning how to play league with them.
And on the floor there's like a table.
It's kind of like a lot like a mini library setup.
So there's like a table.
You can set up your computer or whatever.
So we literally would all sit at this table and play league together.
And you just have a group of nerds just screaming.
in the dorm just shouting at league and at these computers.
So I'm sure everyone hated it.
But it was fun.
And that's how I initially got into it.
Oh, wow.
So you've been playing for major and screaming.
Major and screaming.
Yeah, it's been a while.
So you played mainly support, which I'm also support Maine.
What made you want to go from support to ADC?
So I met a friend and they like support.
So I'm their duo.
And I was like, well, if he's going to play support, I guess, I'll learn ADC.
And so I started to learn ADC and I'm actually, I like it a lot.
So it's fine.
I would never do what my friend wanted.
Yeah.
It was hard to give up to give up my love, but it's fine.
I'll deal with it.
Have you ever seen how much money you spent on league?
I forgot what the website is, but yeah, I have.
Um, so I was spoiled.
When I first started like streaming and stuff like that, um, I was pretty spoiled by my community at the time.
And so a lot of people would gift me skins, champions, whatever.
So I didn't have to worry about it too much.
But when you go to this site, it tells you you're spending over time.
And the fact that it's over the thousand is awful.
But I've been playing the game for a long time.
So I believe it's 3K and up.
Don't shame me.
Hey.
Don't shame me.
Don't shame me.
Was it mainly on skins or like the loop box stuff?
It's definitely skins.
Shame.
Don't shame me.
Listen, it was my addiction.
It was bad.
It was so bad, but it was worse.
Some people are just, some people are shaming you in the chat right now.
So shaming.
but yeah all those all those textbooks you could have purchased with that money for college listen
I had do what I had to do I loved it so it doesn't sound too bad when you know how many years somebody's
played I guess that's my copium you know that's true that's true yeah like if I were to count out
how much I've spent within the past five years it's probably only been like maybe 100 so
it was when I first started that it was when I first started
that things were bad.
And what made you get into streaming?
So same thing, like the guys that I played video games with all the time.
One of them knew about Twitch while the rest of us didn't.
No clue.
He was like, you should do Twitch.
I think your personality would like work really well on there.
And I was like, what is this?
And so they showed me.
And then I started streaming on Twitch like on the weekends and stuff like that.
And I was lucky because I had friends that were interested in Twitch.
So like I started out with like 10, 20 viewers like off like at the start.
So I was I was lucky.
But yeah, it worked out for me and it was a lot of fun.
So.
And before you were streaming, what were you doing?
Like were you working?
How are you making ends of me?
So I was a student.
I'm a neuroscience major.
and so I didn't have like a lot of time because it's like basically it's a chem major and a bio major like smashed into one so obviously I'm like constantly doing labs and stuff like that but on the weekends I was working my dream job at the time which was Victoria's Secret I was a girl that loves lingerie I love making other people feel beautiful and stuff like that so
it was like a big deal to me to be able to go home and help like women or men that want to feel
good like inside and out so I don't know I took my job very seriously and at the time we ran on
commission so I was making like two to three K a month doing something that I loved and I wasn't
working like every day it was only the weekends so I don't know I loved it so awesome another thing
you did not mention that you were into is I was looking through your bios on social media
and one of the things that really like interested me was you wrote that you're a future
V-tuber.
Oh no.
Yeah.
Is that true?
Are you really going to get into V-tubing?
Yeah.
So I'm currently concepting for a V-tube model.
I made friends with like a few people from the V-2 community and I don't know.
I just really like how supportive the community is, and they're very creative and open, and it's like, it seems like such a fun community and world to be in.
And I don't know, I met the small amount of actual like POC and black people in the V-tube community.
And one thing that really stuck out to me is one of them was like, we really need someone like you in the community.
and it like touched my heart
and I was like, you know what?
I'm going to give this a try.
This seems something that's like right up my alley,
especially since there's so much art that's invested
into something like that.
So yeah, I was super excited.
I love V-tubing and I really think that might be like,
it's also cliche to say like, you know,
the future of gaming or streaming or whatever.
I agree though.
Yeah, it really is, right?
Like if you think about it, it's just like people,
just immersed in a world
that's like so
interesting to me
because I always have this stupid thing in my head
where I'm like
what if when we die
we take off this virtual reality helmet
and we just again
that was a crazy game
it's like what if we're actually
art a simulation
and this VTube thing
like black mirror
yeah
black mirror scares me
it's scary right
it's like what if
but I do agree though
because
I don't know.
Like I was explaining this to
I don't remember if I was talking to Amanda about this
like another NZXT person.
But anyway, like how branding using
like a V-Tube creator would be
it's something that's like endless
because there's so much creativity
that can go behind it.
Like you don't need a physical item to show off
when you can just make it a part of their world
and draw it in.
if that makes sense.
But also V-tubers, like,
never age or die, essentially.
Like, I can be 50 years old and still do it
and still maintain an audience that's growing with that character.
That's not going to be like, oh, this person's old and crusty.
You don't want to watch them anymore type thing, you know?
So especially to see how people treat people that are a little bit older,
like once you're over 25, you're too old to even.
do anything.
So.
Don't tell that to Mike.
He just turned 24 last week.
So scared.
I'm older than you.
So.
Yeah.
I'm part of the old and crusky crew.
You know,
you as someone who studied
neuroscience, have you heard about this thing where people are like
downloading, not their consciousness,
but like they're downloading like, they're downloading like things people
say and do
and certain behaviors
onto like these holograms.
Yeah.
And there's,
I,
yeah,
I've heard of that.
I haven't like looked into it,
but it's just creepy
because it's like
essentially downloading
someone's personality traits
and habits
so that they can possibly
engineer
robots and stuff
to have more normal human qualities.
Which is just,
so weird.
thing with AI, the person was like, this AI is alive, it has a consciousness and stuff like that.
Yeah.
It's terrifying.
I don't know.
If I see a robot that I can't tell whether it's human or robot, that's just too much,
too real for me.
Then we're going to end up being taken over.
It's over.
Now that's an episode of Black Mirror.
Well, it's like that book, do Android, Dream Movie Electric Sheep or Blade Runner, the movie,
you guys ever watched that.
It's like, that's literally the whole point of that book and movie is you can.
can't tell the difference between humans and robots.
Yeah, it's creepy.
The movie takes place in 2021, I believe.
So it's like we're living in that moment.
Yeah, soon.
Any time now.
Just ticking.
You also mentioned that you are an artiste, correct?
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Not an artist, but an artist.
Artiste.
So I do anything.
So, I don't know.
I've been doing art, like, my whole life, technically.
But, I mean, I guess anyone can say that if you picked up a crayon and drew on some paper.
But my family is filled with a bunch of creative people, like, whether it's, like, calligraphy
and being able to write really well and really beautifully.
There's people that are good at building and, like, actually building, like, actually building, like, houses and,
like actual buildings that people are living in.
And then I have like my grandma, which is pretty much who inspired me most of my life.
She did a lot of painting and traditional work when I was growing up.
So I got to watch her and work with her until she passed two years ago, actually.
So yeah, yeah, it's okay.
But it's nice to think of all the paintings.
paintings and stuff and I got to collect and keep a lot of that work.
So it like inspires me to keep going, you know.
So super exciting.
You mentioned calligraphy.
Are you into that?
I am.
I think it's super cool, but I'm a perfectionist and I can't imagine starting a piece and
it not looking uniform.
So I've never actually tried it like live for people to see.
I've had people look at my handwriting stuff like that
my whole life teachers have been like you write so nice you write so neat and so small and
perfect and I'm like yeah pinks so I don't know it's just I just get really nervous because
I am a perfectionist too so like showing that side of me it's just like I don't know it's touchy
Yeah, I love I love good handwriting.
I'm in a couple, like, penmanship calligraphy subreddits.
Yeah, it's so cool.
It is cool.
Like, my handwriting's horrible.
I could barely read it myself.
Just to, like, see other people, like, how clear and, like, perfect they can write a line where you can't even tell if, like, it's computer generated or not.
Right.
Yeah, yeah.
It's amazing to me.
That's cool.
Yeah.
So what was the first time you decided to actually, like, call yourself an art?
artist and you know, it's like, you know, I'm going in with this.
So I want to say my second year of streaming is when I actually started doing art live.
Again, I'm a perfectionist, so I was too scared to do like my traditional art live.
So I started with something called purler art.
And purlers are like, I don't have anything as an example, but, you know, pixel art and stuff like that.
It's basically made out of little small beads and it's pixel art made out of that.
So I started with like small like keychain pieces that I was giving to my,
uh-oh,
giving to my community.
And then eventually I made big massive pieces for them to take home and put in like
frames and stuff like that.
And then I had a random guy.
He disappeared after dropping all this money on me.
This random guy showed up to my stream and bought me my first digital tablet, a 22-inch massive Wacom tablet.
Why?
I don't know.
He literally came to my stream, said, follow your dreams, and gifted me a tablet.
I was actually me.
You're welcome.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
but the person just disappeared after.
And so that's when I started doing digital art
and I started doing emotes for like a bunch of different streamers.
And then it like transformed from that.
And someone else came to my stream and was like,
oh, I want to see you do traditional.
Would you, would you give it a try?
And I don't remember what my first traditional piece was.
I think it was like a Star Wars piece, I believe.
And it was like a really cool Darth Vader piece.
And then three years ago, someone came to my stream again and was like, can you paint on a pair of shoes?
And I was like, sure, I guess.
And that's when I started doing custom shoes.
So that's what I do now is custom shoes and custom.
some random work like NZT stuff.
So.
Oh,
thank you to that random man,
whoever you are.
Yeah,
go ahead and take a look at this.
This is awesome.
God,
it's literally like a comet.
It's literally just a manga right here on a mouse pad.
And this is,
you've hand drawn this,
right?
Everything.
Yeah.
So this is hand drawn so far.
And then this is on the,
The NCXT, it's like not the biggest one, but like the second largest mouse pad.
And it's thick enough to handle ink.
So it's doing really well.
Like it doesn't smear anything.
So this is really cool.
The next question is like, can you actually use this mouse pad?
Yeah.
Wow.
So with, I use copic markers for this.
And you can do like a, what my teacher.
or the person that I watch that does like copic work.
What we call it is called baking.
So during the summer and stuff like this,
you can leave it outside and let the ink just dry into the material.
And then you don't really have to worry about like spills and stuff like that.
Obviously it's white.
So if you do spill,
there's going to be more problems than just the ink.
But, yeah, like you don't really have to worry about anything
if you let the ink actually dry into the material.
fully. So, but yeah, this is super cool and it's something that I've just picked up and I'm just
looking forward to doing more and I'm so blessed at NST. Let me even try to do this. Super cool.
So, but yeah. Mike's showing it on stream right now. It looks really cool. Just look at the
tension on the detail from everything that the hair like Baku's like actual like grenade gloves
and everything like that. Just it literally looks like it's.
came out of like a manga like and this is on a mouse pad yeah yeah this was super fun to do i'm glad
that amanda gave me the chance to even try this so yeah seriously amazing incredible work yeah
so i get really distracted when working on this stuff so like i only like this took me like four
hours alone so one box took me four hours so i don't know it's probably been like a good
two weeks that I've been working on this so far
in between distractions so
but it's fine
it looks awesome you're super talented
yeah what made you want to do my hero academia
specifically um so you guys
released the all mite case
and I think that was like what three weeks ago
maybe a month ago or so yeah you guys released the case
and I was like hey Amanda do you mind if I
do you mind if I try an all might
or like My Hero Academia inspired a mouse pad and she's like yeah go for it enjoy it's like okay thank you
but yeah so I was super excited to even get the opportunity to try this out and honestly my community is like
can you do more of these so I may because the material of the mouse pad is so nice that it's super
easy to get away with this stuff not to promo the mouse pad or anything but yeah it's super nice
Shamedless plug.
Yeah, shameless plug for real.
What's the, what's like your most favorite piece of art that you ever made?
I actually gave it away to a friend.
It's a Joker and Batman piece, all black and white, and it's, I love it.
It's so good.
It's just out of just straight pencil.
And I did it overnight for an art class.
And I ended up getting a C on the project, actually.
But it's really cool.
And I am salty about the grade, but whatever.
It's a sick piece.
I already mark it down so much.
He said that I need to push myself harder and I'm in the wrong class because it was in a drawing 101 class.
And I was like, okay, what did you want me to do?
It's not like, because it was my first art class that I had ever taken.
And it's not my fault that I was naturally gifted in some way.
so you're docking me because I did something well, I guess,
and I didn't push myself harder when I didn't know how to push myself harder yet.
So I don't know, I was pretty upset with the class,
and he said that I should have took a test and been placed in a different class,
like a higher class.
He gave you a C because you used the Ben Affleck, Batman.
Yeah, maybe.
Right.
Maybe.
But I was just so frustrated because it was like the dumb.
explanation I'd ever heard in my life and I never took another drawing class at the college again.
So yeah, that's that's odd that you did well, but he says that you should have done more efforts and
you shouldn't have been there and then decide to doc you. That's a very. It was it was very frustrating to
hear and I didn't really know what to do, but whatever. I'm not in it anymore. So this is why I've
pretty much taught myself like the internet and being on Twitch has been like the best teacher
I could possibly have so whatever oh so you're self taught yeah wow okay yeah yourself taught then
what what's the process like when you come up with art like from concept to actually making it
um it's a lot of like referencing uh I know like some artists battle with this on like Twitter and
stuff like that they'll be like don't use any reference it's impossible to not reference something
Whether it's yourself, whether you pose and take the picture yourself, or you're looking through Google or whatever and taking multiple pictures and smashing them into one idea.
The best artists will tell you that referencing is needed.
So it's just interesting when some artists say no, don't.
But yeah, looking at life around you, looking at what your friends do and stuff like that.
Referencing is huge.
but yeah like that's like a first step and then I guess loving what you do to be honest like
if you're not excited for a piece it's honestly impossible to even start so I don't know
it's just referencing and loving what you're doing so you hear that mic love what you do love it
but yeah
let's see
oh yeah
I want to go a little bit
into the actual mouse pad though
about like animas and stuff like that
um
is my hero academia your physical
like your favorite anime of all time
or is it like one that you like right now
um no actually
uh I would say
my answer is going to be so
cliche
but I give
Naruto my favorite anime just because of how many times I've watched it. I've watched Naruto so many times.
It's just dumb. But I like a lot of different animas. I like a lot of etchy anime, a slice of life and
stuff like that. So, um, Iniyasha was my first anime that ever watched as like a teenager.
I like Full Metal Alchemist, um, uh, Fortress of the Iron Cabinari, I think is,
what it's called in English.
And there's so many, Seven Deadly Sins, the Etchy version,
not what everyone else watches.
I have some figures of them that I like to collect.
We were talking about the Fate Night series yesterday.
I like that series, and I just started that one.
The newest anime now that I watch is probably,
the what is it spy
family yeah that one spy family yes yes yes yes I like that one that one so cute
I've caught up with that recently and then JJK I also caught up with recently and that one's
really good have you seen the movie yet I'm waiting so I'm supposed to watch with somebody so
got you got the movie is amazing fantastic I I watch it in theaters first time I've ever watched an anime in
theaters insane.
Yeah, I bet. I have, um, like my whole community's waiting to watch it.
So I have to like plan a night to watch it with them.
So, but yeah, I, he's a real anime fan because she pronounced it, Nerrito.
Or how, how'd you say that?
Naruto.
Yeah.
I always say Naruto.
Yeah, Naruto.
I hear Naruto.
I'm like, what are you doing, man?
What do you doing?
I was like, Naruto.
What's your opinion about Boroto, by?
away um i have the manga i have not watched it i just have the manga and i don't know i i don't know i
feel like people are really hard on it but i don't know i haven't i don't know i haven't watched it so
i feel like maybe the anime's trash but i think the manga is good so i don't know
interesting interesting i know there's very once they kind of after naroto ended
said Boroto, it kind of felt a little odd because like, you know, Naruto and Saskia are like
gods of the entire ninja world and then they saw it to find a way to fight and make it like more intense.
So I think that's why a lot of people have issues with it.
But in terms of like actual fight scenes, it's fantastic.
Yeah, I was what to say, I feel like the fight scenes, even when I've seen it like animated,
the fight scenes seem amazing.
So I don't know.
I guess I have to see it from most people's point of view watching the anime maybe.
And I think a lot of people are salty because some of their favorites now look trash, which I understand, I guess.
Because, yeah, some of the characters, I'm just like, wow, you really just, ugh.
But yeah, I'm not a big fan of my hero, surprisingly, but I love Bakugo.
I love Dobby and Stain.
Those are my favorite characters.
You like Stain?
Stain was a very good deal, though.
Love Stain.
It was great.
Love Stain.
And actually, my second pair of vans that I ever made were of Stain.
We're gonna find some of those, uh, some of those pictures because did you do it
circling on vans or did you do like on like Air Force Ones or anything like that?
I did, uh, so stain was on vans, but I have some on air forces as well, not of my hero, but
like Naruto characters.
Um, I have.
That's the best shoes for drawing.
I want to say my favorite are vans because you get like like the flat top vans you get like a whole canvas right like you can do you can have a picture on the left shoe and it carries over to the right shoe so when you're looking at somebody it looks like a full image right and then with all the I want to say for leather shoes air forces are probably the best just because I don't know they're really popular it's what everyone likes to see.
so that's, I guess, it is what it is, you know.
But yeah, they're fun.
We're going to have to bake some mouse pad shoes.
Mouse pad shoes?
Yes.
The canvas, I mean, the canvas from Vans is literally the exact same almost, so.
All right, throw it to the prior team.
Let's get it. Let's get it going.
I was thinking about...
because my community was like, can you tell NZT to make the mouse pad like a thing that people can buy?
I was like, I don't think they could even like copy this.
I have no idea.
You're going to have to draw a thousand of those.
Yeah, I would literally have to draw like a thousand.
So good luck to my hand, I guess.
Yeah, each one takes about a thousand hours.
Mm-hmm.
Good luck.
Pre-order.
Be backlisted forever.
We'll let this on for like $1,000.
each too.
Mm-hmm.
That's fine with me.
Limitition.
Only 10.
I really want to talk about anime more,
but we should probably get into some pride stuff
since this is a Pride cast.
So I guess my first question
for you, Wuffy, is
you know, why do you think
Pride Month is so important?
I think of Pride Month a lot,
like how I think of,
I guess,
how I think of black history almost as well.
Like they relate both for me, like very strong.
But yeah, Pride Month, I think is very important because so many people are so silent and scared
with their own experiences.
So being able to take a month where people can muster up the pride or like meet with
others is really important.
It shouldn't just be a month.
It should be something that is celebrated all year around, sure.
But I think the fact that we can take a moment in time and just really uplift voices is really important.
And it means something to a lot of people.
Yeah, I agree.
It's like it's just about taking that moment to just, you know, look around you and realize that, you know, people are different and it's okay.
And that's one of my biggest pet peeves I see on social media is like when people comment of like, you know, well, when is this history month?
Or why are you guys celebrating this for an entire month or, you know, why do they need a parade and all this stuff?
When's my month?
Exactly.
And like, in my mind, I'm just like, don't you realize it's just about just taking a moment?
It's just a moment in time, you know, like to just think about this for a bit, you know?
Yeah, it's, I don't know.
It's kind of, it comes off very selfish.
and like, I don't know, it's just very interesting when people take the time out of their day to write something so dumb and just ignorant.
I just don't understand that.
It's so weird to me.
But, I mean, I just can't stop people from being ignorant or dumb.
Yeah.
And for us, too, like as a company, you know, it's like kind of put a target on our backs when you talk about it.
For sure.
On May 31st or whatever, like, people start tweeting like, hey, tomorrow.
Charles pride, you know, stay tuned for all these stupid brands.
You need these, like, things.
Yeah.
And it's just like, we really know it's going to come.
We already know people are going to unfollow us and stuff like that.
But, you know, we're doing it for like that reason you said right there.
It's just, it's important to take that moment and just acknowledge it and look around you, right?
Yeah.
I mean, whoever's going to follow or unfollow, you don't want them in the first place, right?
So it doesn't really, I don't know.
I always see people like that.
It's just like a fly move.
Whatever, go away.
Exactly.
See you next year when you need something.
Like, you know, it's just so silly.
Yeah, we tend to lose a lot of followers throughout pride,
but we also gain a lot of other ones that are like, oh,
okay, they actually care about it.
You know, we try to at least show that we're not just going to do like the standard post on June 1st.
We do the profile pick.
And then on June 30th or July 1st, gone.
You know, that's.
Right.
there you had your month that's it um we actually tended to have our we had our profile
pick as the pride one for like a couple months i remember correct i think we only changed it
for christmas i think yeah we changed it for summer party last year oh summer party that's what it was
right right right right right yeah i can understand when people kind of get mad at brands because
some brands do do that you know they just yeah performative don't even say anything it's just like
here's a rainbow logo for 30 days.
We're doing our part.
Yeah, exactly.
I don't know.
I really appreciate NCXT for doing it because you stand out in other ways outside of just a logo.
So example, I remember, I think this was maybe last week or so, somebody, or maybe it was even under the post that you guys made for me.
I think I lied.
Yeah, I think it was a couple days ago.
someone was like
this is
keep
politics off your
off my computer
something something
whatever whatever and
ZXT actually replied saying
if you don't like agree or whatever
then we don't need you anyway type shit
so it's just like
move like why
did you even take the time to come out of your way
and most of the time there are accounts that are dead
so you made an account
to say something
for what? You're not unique.
Your comment literally didn't matter.
So why did you take the time out?
It's just so interesting to see like weirdos say stuff like that.
But the fact that NCXT has no problem replying and like calling it out, I think that really matters too.
Like some companies will just ignore it.
And I think ignoring it, it can be good because if it's like a super toxic comment, obviously you don't want to give it any light.
but when someone's being ignorant, it's good to call it out because you're showing what side you're on and that your stance is true.
Yeah.
If that makes sense.
And I remember that comment in particular, it really, really upset me because it's not a political statement, you know?
It's like, it's just mad like human rights.
You know, everyone's everyone's, everyone's equal.
It's nothing to do with politics whatsoever.
we don't care who you vote for or anything.
It's just about treating people equally.
Yeah.
That person didn't get that memo, right?
Yeah, that's so interesting.
In the words of Critical Bard, why are you so pressed?
And if you are, be a pinini.
Yeah, like, it's just so, I don't know, it's so interesting.
So interesting, but I'm glad that NCXT had no problem just like, yeah.
Excuse you.
So in other words of like
Like basically talking like you know
To actually take a stand against people that say these type of stuff
Is there any other ways that you think like
Not just us but other people can like help that LGBTQI plus like community or anything like that?
I think education is key
If you ever run upon a video maybe like on YouTube that you think is really inspiring
example. I think Jubilee and Cut come up with like really good prompts of people that are maybe
conservative being educated by people that are part of the LGBT community. I think videos like that are
really, really, really good to watch. So you can see people actually have a dialogue and see both
sides at the same time where you're not kind of being directed in one way. I think it's really
important to see both sides.
Obviously, when we're having these discussions, you may be on more one side than the other.
And if you're influenced just one way, I just, I don't think that's a constructive way of going
about any conversation.
You want both sides.
So finding videos that shares both of those is really important, at least in my eyes.
But yeah, educating yourself.
And then if you do have the means, supporting and donating is also really big.
And if you don't feel comfortable donating to like an actual charity because you don't know where that money is going, like, right away, finding someone that is queer that identifies under the LGBT umbrella and donating to them directly, I think is really cool in a good way to do that.
Yeah, I think those are all great ways to support the community.
and in gaming in particular, you know, there's a lot of bullying and harassment.
Are there anything, anything like us as allies can do just in gaming in general to be better?
Speaking up when someone's being bullied, I don't, I've always been somebody,
it doesn't really matter what's going on to me.
Like sometimes I'll just speak up.
If someone's making fun of somebody, whether it's appearance,
sexuality, whatever.
Speaking up, it's
a good way to support
anyone, no matter what they're
dealing with or what their difference is.
Especially, like, girls in gaming,
that's massive
to, like, just being there
to support somebody because people think
that they're funny or quirky
for bullying somebody. Like,
you're not. You're just weird.
So speaking up,
when anyone's being bullied is
massive.
So. I think it's becoming more apparent too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's one thing that really
makes me mad too is because, you know,
I have, I only have sisters.
I only have daughters.
And it's like every time I play a video
game, it's just like
people harassing females.
Yeah, it's really bad.
So. It's horrible.
I can't even imagine what it's like
to be a woman that, you know,
has to go through that, like, constantly.
like you have to be really strong to
not necessarily ignore it but like
push past it and be and like you said
be able to stand up and just
no pun intended bark at them
yeah yeah for sure
and just tell them to shut up you know
like being
a POC and like
relating being a woman
black and
buy and stuff like that like people
tend to just come to my stream because
of my tags and stuff like that maybe possibly um i don't know if i don't know if that's what their
intentions are whatever but like because i have like a lower set voice people automatically assume
i'm trans and i have a lot of trans people in my community so it's just like when you insult me
i don't think of it as you insulting me i think of it is you as you as insulting my community and
stuff like that so i'm quick to bite so if i i cannot stand ignorance and
And I have a lot of women in my community too.
So if you insult me as a woman, I see it as you insulting them as also women.
So it's just like, oh, I immediately bite.
So it's, it's, I'm not going to keep quiet with stuff like that.
And it's just so frustrating to see how many people go out of their way for stupid stuff like that.
It's definitely say something.
If you see something, say something.
Your community, I feel like a lot of Twitch streamers don't recognize that their community is a reflection of them.
So if you allow something like that, that's probably a reflection on you whether you believe it or not.
Yeah.
Oh, that's true.
I think that's a pretty good thing is like don't think of it as just this random person think of it as, you know, have a little bit empathy and think what if I was in that situation?
Would I just want to sit there and deal with it or would I want to, you know, try to actually fight against it?
I think a lot of people, although we have a very outspoken minority of people that, you know,
will go against anything pride or anything minority base or anything like that,
we do have a very big outspoken majority too that will fight back,
which is definitely more apparent now, which is great.
And soon we're getting more and more people getting into it, which is awesome.
Yeah, that side is definitely growing the more we do.
So that's awesome to see.
It is.
Like the more you showcase voices like mine and others,
it's just bringing in more people that are supportive and agree and stuff like that.
So it's really nice to like build that community.
Yeah, for sure.
So, but yeah.
And apart from NST, you know, are there any other companies out there that you see that are doing things with the community?
So I used to work for a laundry company called Adormie.
And what I like about them, I feel like when people think of Laundrae, they focus on women, right?
And with Adormie, they actually showcase men in lingerie and stuff like that.
And I think that can just be a small, like, step in the right direction.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, people see that and be, like, you have, like, the people that are going to see that and be like,
I don't want to see men in lingerie and stuff like that.
Well, you're just another fly on the wall, shoe, go away, whatever.
And the people that are seeing this in feeling heard or like they're seeing themselves
or being inspired saying, oh, this is okay.
This is this is normal.
I'm not weird or like whatever.
I'm not different.
And it is okay to be different, period.
but like to feel that you're not an outcast that you're being recognized is really important.
So like simple stuff like that is just really nice and refreshing and I think really inspiring and stuff like that.
So that's just like one of the companies that I know that has done something recently that I really just I vibe with.
I love it.
So but yeah.
That's a great example.
What would you want to start going for this empowering movement about like wearing lingerie and being comfortable in it and stuff like that?
I have a lot of like personal insecurities and stuff like that.
Like my community may look at me and see me beautiful, whatever, but obviously inside I can feel a certain way.
So I see so many other people that have a similar issue, I guess, and feel the same way where there's,
something inside that they just they aren't super comfortable with and I think it's really important
that we do love ourselves that's like the first step for any and everything um if you're going to
love anyone else around you it's really important to love yourself first so that you can see
your worth um what you can provide in a healthy way for others and like it helps you set your
boundaries and what you're comfortable with as well so
being comfortable with you and loving you is just something that I've just recently gained
and something that I'm really in support of whether it's sexuality, gender identity,
or just appearance and like your outward identity to others.
So it's just something that's really important to me.
That's awesome, yeah.
Do you have any, like, for those that are maybe out there, like, do you have any tips for them?
or maybe places to go to, people to talk to, podcasts or anything to, like, look at?
So, hmm, I think there's plenty of places, especially, like, on YouTube.
It's just like, where do you look, right?
On Twitch, I want to say some great empowering voices are people like,
um, Sir Caitlin, uh, you have Kiwi on the sticks, Bliss Bear.
There's plenty of great voices in the NZT community, like Spring Sims, critical bard,
and numerous amount of others.
Like honestly, taking the time to look at other creators that may not be the
headlight of Twitch and looking at a little bit under the radar, a little sprinkle here
and there like maybe 100 viewers 200 500 maybe like just take a look at the other like little unicorns
out there man there's some great voices um and you mentioned a few ncxc you mentioned a few ncxc
creators and i just want to give uh Amanda a little shout out here because I think she did a
really fantastic job yeah for sure finding finding these these people because um a lot of them do
go under the radar you know yeah and absolutely um
I was really excited to even be picked as one because I've been on Twitch for a long time
and I've been doing art for a long time on Twitch and it took so long to even be recognized
on a site that I was an OG for.
So to be recognized by NZXT was massive.
I never thought in a million years like because I've been using NZXT computers forever.
now I have two that I use to run my setup.
Like it's amazing.
It's awesome.
So thank you to Amanda for real for picking great people.
Yes, G.G. Amanda.
G.
We're almost out of time now, but it is time for my favorite part of the podcast.
That is where Mike asks you really random questions that you have to answer as fast as possible.
All right.
So don't think, all right, all right, all right.
Don't think I just answer.
First instinct.
All right.
First question.
First console you owned.
PlayStation 1.
PlayStation 1.
What game?
Spiro.
Spiro.
Okay.
I'm a massive Spiro fan.
It's actually really bad.
Is Spiro one of your favorite games of all time?
It is my favorite game of all time.
Easily.
Okay.
It's a little dragon, right?
Yeah, a little purple dragon.
Yeah.
That's my baby.
What made you get that game with us, the first one?
Was it like your parents gave it to you or you're like, I want this game?
So my dad was a gamer.
So I'm pretty sure.
Okay, technically I think my first console was the Nintendo, the original Nintendo, technically.
I just never played it because he would play it and I would watch him play.
Gotcha.
So, yeah, like, he used to play all the games for me and I would just sit in the chair and just watch.
And like he, you know how like if you give a little kid a controller, but it's not actually hooked up.
So I would just sit there with a dead controller, like thinking I'm playing the game, but I'm not.
And the game that I remember the most was like super mar, original Super Mario and Duck Hunt from when I was really little.
But anyway, my dad used to play it all for me.
And then I would just sit there just hoping and praying that I was winning.
But yeah.
So I love that.
I love that.
when people tell me they have gamer dads because I'm a I'm a gamer dad my dad did not play video games though
I love when people tell me they have one I was daddy's little girl so literally almost every console I think we've had
minus I think the dream cast was the only one we didn't have that's the best one too yeah so I used to play that
at my kindergarten they had one wow nice kindergarten dang yeah it was like just a random one off in the
corner, but usually the guys would be playing it and they'd never let the girls play.
So I had to just sit there and stare and watch.
Ivan, are you going to make your daughters play some video games too?
Yeah, I'm going to make sure they have a dream cast at her kindergarten when she starts next year.
Go find one.
They're probably cheap, to be honest.
All right.
Next question.
If you can remake one game into like, you know how every game is kind of being remade,
like last of us is being remade, stuff like that.
What would your remake be?
Uh, okay, no one's gonna know what it is.
But there's this PlayStation 1 game called Dragon.
It's a lot like Dragon Inquisition and Eldenring, like the Souls games kind of.
It's kind of like really dark and like really difficult.
Um, but the main character is this really strong woman protagonist and she has like this big dragon.
and that game was so incredibly scary when I was a little kid
and man if I saw that remade it I would I would love it
because the monsters in there are insane they're so cool
and the weapons and all that they were just really really cool
wow yeah I'm looking at some of the pictures on this yeah this looks that
That looks crazy.
Yeah, it was a really good game.
Really good game.
I would love to see that remade.
I remember my dad bought that for me and I was like, what heck is this?
And then ended up liking it.
Hey, it looks like someone else here knows this game too.
Yeah.
It's something, I feel like if you saw the box, you'd be like, why would I get this?
But playing it, it's actually really good.
Like, the story was fantastic.
So.
And the versatility of the weapon.
and stuff like you can either do magic or wield a weapon is is really really good
like elven ring yeah yeah it was literally elden ring just old old and crusty
all right uh oh and for this remake would you just wanted to be more updated graphics or would
you want to like change things up or anything like that i think it was really good so just give me
give me today's graphics and i will lose my mind lose my mind all right uh next question hobbies do
have any hobbies other than just like doing art and stuff like that um yeah literally art i love art
and league it's my addiction so bad if i'm not if i'm not doing art it's always league unfortunately
that's that as a league player i'm sorry it's so bad um what is the funniest memory you have
of anything gaming related just in general uh oof i don't know i can't even
think off top of my head anything uh i have no idea there my life is so all over the place all time
i have to make a funny moment on this podcast then so you remember it go for it i can't i can't think of
anything yeah i have no idea oh i do oh no okay so last year i decided i was doing Pokemon polls
On stream and I bent over to go get something off stream and I came back and my hair was on fire
On fire? It wasn't funny for me, but it was funny for them was it was it because of the fireplace behind you
No, I had a candle off to the side and like an idiot. I had no cover for it so I just dipped my curl poof
in the fire and my whole see they have the emo for it my whole little poof was on fire
Wuffy fire
I actually just Googled
Wiffy hair on fire
There's articles about it
There's literally articles on it
I had I had people that don't even watch Twitch
They were like oh I saw you on fire on my Snapchat
What do you mean you saw me on fire on Snapchat
What are you talking about
Oh it wasn't just it wasn't just like a tiny little bit
This is a physical like large flame
Sir please
Dude, it was so bad.
It was awful.
I got a
I got a show this, guys.
I'm sorry, but like, I'm sorry, Bari, but
Oh my God.
This is not just like a tiny little
This is
This is like an outfit on low.
That's actually funny.
Oh my God.
It was a good day.
No, it was not.
I had no idea.
Oh my gosh.
Bro.
It was so bad.
I didn't know.
I had no idea.
No idea.
The only reason why I knew is because the wax from the candle dripped off into my lap.
And I was like, what is this?
And like, you see me look down at my hands and I was like, that's wax.
And then I was like, oh my God.
And my chat was so quiet.
They didn't even, they were just sitting there just like, this isn't happening.
This idiot is not on fire.
Did it like?
Did the room smell awful?
too because I know like when hair burns.
Literally at the end of the clip, I'm like,
ew, I stink.
It's so bad.
It was so bad.
It was so embarrassing.
It was so bad.
Oh my gosh.
That was probably the most recent thing.
That was pretty funny.
I'm glad that you're okay.
But yeah, it was an amazing moment that became a great emo too.
Yeah.
It's my favorite e-vote.
So you know what?
We take those.
We take those.
I got two.
What would you rather questions?
These are really funny and in, all right.
So the first one, would you rather be forced to listen to the same 10 songs on repeat for the rest of your life?
Or be forced to watch the same five movies for the rest of your life.
Okay.
So forced to watch.
Yeah.
So you can only do either 10 songs on repeat or five movies on repeat.
Yeah.
I guess I'll do the movies.
I don't watch movies at often.
So to be forced to watch the same five when I do watch movies, fine.
But I have to have variety of my music.
I have to have variety of my music.
Some people are saying they'd rather choose the music over to...
Yeah, I see that.
Imagine if I listen to the same 10 songs every day.
Y'all are tripping.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think I would do the same.
I'd rather just do the five movies because I can't live without music.
Yeah, I need variety of my music.
y'all are chripen some people saying some people here saying they like uh they like music what
really you choose the 10 songs on repeat i can't do that songs songs are it's music's too important
i can't uh-uh imagine especially since i listen to music every day imagine the same 10 songs oh especially
on stream too you would only be able to stream 10 songs oh gosh yep
oh gosh i do both of those already because my daughter you know like she'll
get into like these phases and we'll literally watch the same movie a million times.
I watched,
I watched Mega Mind like 20 times in the last week.
Oh, no.
I mean, it's like listening to the radio.
The radio is 10 songs every hour.
Same 10 songs.
Oh, gosh.
All right.
Next one.
Final, would you rather question.
Would you rather have to use chopsticks every day for the rest of your life or only four?
of spoons
I guess the fork
Really?
I guess the fork
Really?
Yeah yeah yeah
Forks interesting
A lot of people I thought would choose
chopsticks because they're a little bit more
versatile than forks I think
Yeah I think I just don't
Have the brain capacity for chopsticks
Actually that's not true because I
I am not terrible with them
I feel like I would have to learn more
ways to use chopsticks
Because I'm not super great with them
so I would literally have to
I'll show people on stream real quick
easiest thing
put it here the only thing you're moving
is your thumb and index finger
all you do is just this
that's all you do people think it's very hard
it's just this that's all you're doing
just moving these two fingers
I had to teach a lot of people I do this
my dad was teaching me he's like there's no way
you don't know how to use chopsticks I was like
I've never learned and he's like
you literally only have to worry about two things
I was like okay.
Yeah, you can, right, chopsticks are so over.
So you can use them as like spoons too, like for rice.
You just keep them like this and you eat like that.
You can use that as a spoon too.
So I go like this and then I stab my food between that.
No, I feel like, I'll stab your sushi.
I give up after a while and I just start stabbing things.
I'm fine with picking up sushi and I can eat rice with chopsticks just fine.
I don't just worry about everything else.
I would just stab it.
What about ice cream?
Would you rather eat?
Would you rather eat ice cream with a fork or a spoon?
Or fork or chopsticks?
Big chopsticks, right?
I feel like I would have to do it.
I'd have to do it to see.
I feel like I'm too dumb to figure it out.
If you do it on stream, please let us know.
We will, I will 100% watch.
Oh, my God, no.
Everyone here in chat, remind her, remind her one day,
She's eating ice cream.
Remind her.
Grab chopsticks or fork.
They're actually going to do it.
They're going to be like, you have to do it now.
I know because I see some of your viewers here.
Force her to do a one.
New content.
It's fresh content.
Fresh content right there.
Oh, my God.
Here we go.
Yep, yeah.
We got some.
Okay, great.
We got some of the viewers already.
We're good.
We're ready.
Pris is going to end up sending like five different pints of ice cream and I'm
going to be forced to do it.
It's content.
I bet you already.
Oh, my gosh.
It's content.
Here we go.
I'll buy it. See? I'll buy it. I knew it.
Do it guys. Do it. It's for the content. Anything for the content.
I'm over it.
Make it make it more challenging and put the chopsticks on fire.
Yeah, I was going to say watch. My hair's going to be set on fire while I'm doing this simultaneously. It's just going to be awful.
You'll get more news articles and content out of it. Oh, it's a full-proof plan.
Full-proof plan.
finally
my mission in life to be
on fire while eating ice cream
thank you guys so much
and sell it easy true
genius marketing
while doing makeup
maybe
we'll see I am very talented
all right
I think that is it for all the
rapid fire questions
as the pride cast
comes to a close
we like to leave
you to basically say any sort of words, motivation, anything like that,
anything that you would like to say to any viewers, any of the community out there,
this is just your floor if you want to say any final words.
Got you.
Well, first off, happy Pride Month, all my Pride babies.
Yeah, make sure you try your best to love yourself.
This month and every month, please try your best.
I know it's hard.
It's not easy.
and if you need to try your best to find a decent support group, support group,
even if it's, even if you have to start on Twitch or even Twitter and find like a comfy
discord where you can like trust a few people to just vent a little bit.
I think it is important to share your feelings because there are people out there that do
experience something similar or maybe the exact same thing that you're going through.
So to be able to find people that can share just a little bit of something that you can connect with will help so much.
But even if you have trouble connecting with somebody, please just take the time to reflect on yourself.
Know that you are beautiful and you matter.
It doesn't matter how different you are, whether it is gender identity, sexuality, your skin color, your hair texture, whatever it may be, whatever sets you apart and different from everyone else.
You are beautiful and you are loved.
So take the time to love yourself too.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
I love that.
Thank you guys for having me here.
Of course.
Thank you for coming on.
I guess I'll just do some quick announcements before the podcast ends.
Please, guys, donate to our Pride fundraiser in support of Trevor Project.
We have, I think we have some hoodies, hats, hats, and stickers of them.
right now. We hit 15,000 already, which was our main goal in only two weeks, which is incredible.
So we rose it to 50,000. We still have a lot of stuff available. So if you guys do go ahead to donate all proceeds go to charity.
I want to make sure that that's also thing. We do not profit on this at all. We're not profiting off the LGBTQI plus community.
All proceeds go to charity. We actually end up losing more money doing pride because we are spending so much money.
everything goes to them we don't get tax write-offs either all money goes straight from tiltify to
Trevor so we don't see any money i saw a lot of comments about that no we do not see an ounce of
it so i just want to throw that out there as well this is just in our support of this community and
prime months and all the people on it so please go ahead to donate um we also launch a bunch of new
products um so please go ahead and check it out go to our website uh we have the new eight seven series
which is the flow, the base, and delete.
We also have some new motherboards available for the new Intel chip set.
And then a ton of more stuff.
We also have mouse pads, like as Wolfie showed.
We have some awesome stuff as well.
And heck, maybe if you guys wanted to do some fun art on it, make one and then show us up.
