Hello, everyone. Welcome to episode 132 of the NZC podcast, the official podcast of the NZC community.
This podcast recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on the official NZC Twitch and is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud. My name is Mike. It with me as always is Ivan. How are you doing, Ivan?
Hi, I am doing great, Mike. Looking forward to another Q&A podcast. These are actually my favorite types of podcasts.
to be honest, no disrespect to our guests.
But the reason why I like doing these podcasts is because we get tons of questions on social media.
And a lot of times they are similar questions that people have asked before or maybe people haven't asked but they are curious about.
So I actually look forward to answering these questions.
And this time, so last week it was just Instagram stories.
And this week we're doing Instagram stories and Facebook of all places.
We've never done this on Facebook.
And I was talking to you earlier about this.
But last week when we asked on Instagram stories to ask us a question,
I'm not exaggerating.
Every other question was, can I get a free PC?
And that's legit.
Like we had thousands, I don't know, like 10,000 replies.
And like every other one was, can I get a free PC?
On Facebook, we got much fewer.
replies, but the interesting thing is no one else for a free PC.
So either the people on Facebook already have PCs and then people on Instagram don't, or maybe the people on Facebook have more money.
I don't know what it is, but the replies were very different, but we're going to answer from both.
The first one though, I do want to answer is from Instagram, which is our very first question, probably the most
important question of the day, which we'll both answer, but I'll let you answer first, Mike.
And it's, how are you doing social media person?
I'm doing pretty good.
Got a good workout in this morning, ready to do the podcast.
So we're doing good.
How are you?
I'm doing good.
I think I told you before we started to.
I woke up with an air ache today.
But besides of that, I feel all poochy, no complaints.
I'd complain, but no one listens
or cares, right?
Someone said an amongus thing? Oh, they did.
Amundas?
Yeah, someone says amygus.
Let's see. Do you have a next question that you want to ask?
Yes, I do.
And by the way, if you guys and gals are
tuning into the podcast live,
feel free to ask your questions in the chat.
And Mike here will add them to our fancy Trello
card and we'll answer those towards the end of the show. So first question on Facebook, this
gets asked every so often, primarily gets asked on Reddit, where it seems we get more of these
types of questions. And the question is, why doesn't NZXT CAM work? And my response to this question
is that NZXT CAM does work. However, there are countless PC-HarvestE-RexT-Rexter.
configurations, countless PC software configurations where, you know, depending on how your system is set up,
there might be something that is triggering CAM to malfunction for some reason. So CAM, for those that don't know,
if you go into the settings section and then you click on support, you can send our customer service
team a ticket that goes straight into their queue. And then there's a little tick box there at the
bottom where you can also send your cam logs. And our customer service and cam team will do a deep
dive into your computer and figure out what's going on. The other thing I want to let you guys
know about cam is that the cam team has been working on a really big update that is scheduled
tentatively to be released at the end of this month, which addresses a lot of the different issues
people are currently having. So stay tuned for that, and hopefully it'll all work now.
And if you, like I said, if you are having issues, please go into the support tab and
Cam and submit those logs and let our team know so they can take a look at your specs and all
that. Mike, you working in customer service. How often did you get that question?
about cam yeah um we get occasional ones most of the time it's more uh what i worked in which was more
order support um so i didn't really get cam too much but occasionally you get like the occasional one
and uh usually it's just um a pretty pretty easy thing to do which is just we just need to make
sure that there's no conflicting actually um where was it someone said the same thing uh yeah
angriest angry artist said the same thing like there's a lot of other programs
to on top of the PC hardware configurations.
So, like, Assouc, stuff like that,
have, like, their specific things.
That could also cause problems.
So there could be countless things of different software,
different conflicts.
So it shouldn't be too bad.
And ironically, even video games can cause problems.
Because sometimes there's been a few games.
I think the last big one was the most recent Call of Duty game
with detecting Cam as a,
Like a cheating software or something like that would just appear.
But yeah, it could be a bunch of things.
So send in those logs.
Team will check it out and fix it for you.
All right.
Next question for you is, where is the front panel?
This is from Kevin Kirkcalda, Kirkcaldy on Facebook.
He says, where's the front panel for the H710 that is sold separately to provide better airflow like the H5?
10. The answer for that is that we currently do not sell panels separately. We do know that a lot of people ask for that, you know, like frequently. So we do let the product team know. Product team is aware. Hopefully one day we do provide panels, but right now we don't, though. Just know that every time people ask for this, we do let the product team know. So you're not just screaming into the void. We have a
a Slack channel specifically for giving this type of feedback and we share it constantly.
So if you want it, keep on asking.
Yeah.
Colin Young, kind of a related question, but he's asking, when are we going to have
proper ventilation for the H710i?
Well, the answer is now with our most recent H7 cases, we have an airflow variant similar
to the H510 flow.
So if you want the biggest case we got with the most airflow we got, check out the H-7 flow.
It's our best performing case.
Got really good reviews.
Go on YouTube, we just search H-7, NZX-H-7 review, and then you'll see, like, what we have to say about it.
I'm going to go through some shot questions real quick, actually.
Get some of these out.
Let's see.
It's Oscar.
I have a question.
Is my Cracken Z63 AIO supposed to rattle?
Trying to fix it right now, it's been driving me crazy.
No, it's not supposed to rattle,
but there are a lot of troubleshooting techniques that if you send a ticket to nzxte.com
slash support, we can help you out.
If it's the AIO, if it's the fan,
there's a lot of different types of troubleshooting that we can do.
Just send it to them.
We have a list of things for you to try,
and usually it works out after that.
And then the second one,
angry artist
any plans on improving
the LCD screen to
IPS for the Z series
areas. Not as
of late, but
not out of the realm. We'll probably
look into something down the road, but as of
right now, we're trying to work on a bunch of other
products right now, so, but
not a bad idea.
And then the last one before I was switch it back to you.
Oh, yeah.
No, go ahead. That's the last one.
The last one is from
Why Red Panda?
Do you have any limited edition PC collaborations coming up?
Maybe a Gundam PC, etc.
We can't necessarily tell what's going on.
But as of right now, we do have two PCs being that are like custom,
which is our QuakeCon PC.
If you want to do Esclamation Point Quake, you can actually look into that.
And the other one is Hunt Showdown.
One of my favorite games of all time.
we made a custom PC with them, and if they're doing a Hunt Showdown Video Awards,
so if you have any cool clips of it, take a look into that,
and you can actually win a potential PC and other prizes.
Next thing I want to address is not a question, but a demand from Alec Ople,
who I'm assuming is the same person that's been spamming us on Twitter with the nzxte.
etH domain.
I don't know what we're supposed to do with that domain,
but we're not in the business of buying random domains.
Like there's people that do this constantly.
They'll snag up like nzxtecam.com or nzxte.com or nzxte dot cam or
nzxte dot whatever.
And they'll like almost like I guess hold it hostage and like demand that we fork over money for it.
So I don't know.
I don't know what we're supposed to do with that.
domain. Like, we don't do anything with Ethereum or cryptocurrency for that better.
But if you give it to us for free, we'll redirect it to the podcast or something.
We'll figure it'll figure something out. But as a now, no. I actually do want to.
Faith 4 underscore 20 or 420, Faith 420, actually ask a really good question.
How much budget do you recommend for a bill nowadays? What do you think, Ivan?
Well, the word budget depends on, it where it varies for different people, right?
Like, people always say, like, what's the best budget PC?
Well, if your budget is $5,000, it's going to be very different than if your budget is $2,000 or $3,000 or $1,000, whatever.
But I would say if you want to get, like, a PC that can do everything from, like, playing,
video games to streaming to like editing to podcasting to you name it you're going to be looking at spending
at least two thousand dollars i would say and i would say the sweet spot's probably closer to like
2,500. And if you really want a top of the line PC right now, I'm guessing, we're not guessing, I'm
estimating about 3,500 at least, probably more if you want to like get 64 gigabytes of RAM or
anything like that. But you can get a really good PC nowadays for even a thousand dollars, to
be honest, but it's not going to do everything that you might want it to do. Like if, for
example, if you're thinking you can buy a $700 PC with the idea that you're going to be streaming
and editing video and doing all this really demanding stuff, you might have problems.
What do you think, Mike?
I agree.
You can probably work with $1,500 to $1,500, but also you have to account for peripherals as well.
You have to also account for keyboards, mice, monitor, if you want two monitors,
headset mic stuff like that so you also have to account for that as well on top of the budget
i'd say for a pc to game depending on what type of game you can probably work around 1 000 to
1 500 that's pretty you'll get a decent pc that'll last few years i can play a majority of games
but if you want high end you want to go streaming you want to do
vr you want to do vFX rendering you'll probably need to go a little bit higher
but it also depends on the games you play like me personally i still game on a gtx 970
because i don't play like any really demanding games and for me it works fine you know i don't need
a 3080 t i or anything like that so it also comes down to what games you want to play
uh play minion masters like me and then you don't have to worry about that sort of stuff right
Mike? Yep.
Okay, Joey Bean,
Joey Bean, a top fan on Facebook.
They have the top fan badge
on our page here. They ask,
will we see new motherboards
with the release of AMD next gen?
And while we can't confirm or deny
any product that may or may not
happen or that we are
currently or not currently working on,
I can confirm
that we've
made motherboards for
like the last, what, three or four gens of CPUs.
So if I were a gambling man, which I'm not, I don't condone gambling.
But if I were, I would probably put money that NZXT would come out with a next-gen motherboard.
Not just for AMD, but for Intel, too.
Next question is from Justin Vega Madrigal.
They ask, can I send a case design?
This one's a tricky one because, like, yeah, it's like you could send a case design, but it doesn't mean, like, we're going to do anything with it.
Like, we don't really have, like, a open door and solicited design department where, like, people can just say, like, you know, here's my design and make something with it.
I'm not a lawyer, but I'm assuming the reason why we, you know, kind of don't encourage that is because I'm sure there's probably like some sort of legal thing where we, you know, might get in trouble or they might get in trouble for doing stuff like that.
So I don't know.
People do send in designs.
I remember a year ago someone mocked up age 17.
10 I with like holes all over it, right? Like just holes everywhere. And they posted it on
Twitter and then they emailed it to us and they DMs us on Instagram. And they're like,
you guys should totally make this. And I just replied it like, yeah, that's a good idea. Like,
I couldn't tell them at that time. Like, oh, we're working on an H7 flow actually. Like we are
making this case that you're already pitching us. I just can't tell them that, right? So then
obviously when we released the H7
they got really mad at us
and they're like you guys stole my idea
you sold my design I'm going to sue you
you guys got to paint you for this blah blah
blah blah and I didn't even
reply to him but
I wanted to tell him like you know
sorry like I just couldn't tell you
at the time that we were working
on this stuff so that's what's a little tricky
you know because we can't really tell you guys
what we are doing product wise
but I'm sure
like we're all,
we're all thinking alike
as well, you know, like we all know
what pain points
people have and what people want
and whatnot. So
it's a tricky one, Mike.
Yeah. It's definitely something that
we want to encourage people to
send us designs and practice their stuff.
Like we don't want to discourage it,
but there is a lot. And I mean,
people go to school
for what, six to eight
years to become lawyers?
like six to eight years almost a decade of your life these guys are going to school for doing the exams practicing law because there is a lot of laws and uh IPs and copyrights or trademarks and everything that go into designing like honestly if we didn't have to deal with it oh heck yeah we would love to make these designs to do it like we i've seen so many designs for a lot of like anime or a lot of tv show like
designs.
We can't do that.
Like,
we'd have to go with,
because if we release like a,
like an anime,
like a Jojo or a Naruto one without contacting them,
that's a lawsuit because we're selling a product based on their IP.
And we'd honestly,
we'd love to do it,
but that takes months,
sometimes years to get through.
So we want to make sure,
we don't want to discourage it,
but also like,
know that we probably can't make it unless we,
almost the company themselves gets in contact with.
us. But if you guys have a really cool design, you're like, yo, let's make a like a demon slayer
case. Send it to us. Show it to us. We would love to like comment on it and stuff like that.
Totally, totally, totally don't want to discourage that. Yeah. Kind of a related question on Facebook
from Tyler Wellen. They're asking, when are we going to make wood cases? And a couple of weeks
ago someone, I say someone, but I think it's, I think it's one person, but it might be more
because they were like a company account. It called like Woodford, Woodford cases.
I don't know if I want to pull it up, Mike. They tweeted at us, or they tagged us,
not tweeted at us, but they tagged us in like a mockup they did of a wooden H510 case.
And we also share it on Facebook and Instagram. People really love that idea. I don't know how
feasible it is to make a wooden case.
I'm assuming
a wooden case is going to get
really hot.
Like, I don't know how
like this is going to
work airflow-wise or anything
like that. It definitely looks
cool. I just don't know like
yeah, I just don't know how
possible like
something like this is to make.
Yeah. Saratazila
said, which was my thing,
is wood contracts and expanse,
especially with heat.
Honestly, if it was like some sort of like it just looked like wood, that would be, that wouldn't be too bad.
But I am also worried because how hot this gets.
Because a lot of times your thing is what, 60 to 80 Celsius, 80 Celsius to Fahrenheit.
For those that know, is 176 Fahrenheit.
Like, that's just running and playing like a game, you know, 80 Celsius.
It would be really worrisome, especially with heat, not just like catching off fire.
I'm not talking about that.
I'm talking about like over hours and days and weeks and months and years of use, what would happen to it?
Because I mean, we used to have like plastic PCs.
And then if you look at like some of the pictures now of them, they're like yellow.
Yeah.
I like how twin dad says he has a wooden PC case gifted for.
from his grandfather and it was the first line of PCs he did his job and every component was hand built
and built Alan you got to send me a if you have a picture of it you got to send me that out
like that sounds amazing uh I just imagine uh twin dad's grandpa like chisling away at a graphics card
an RTX 100 uh Nathan Taylor on Facebook is asking have you ever considered a
Nathan Taylor on Facebook is asking, have you ever considered an in-wall case that can have an AC dutch to write it?
And I actually have because it's been super freaking hot lately in Southern California.
Mike wouldn't understand because he's in Seattle now.
But the other day I did have that very thought.
I was thinking, why has no one invented some sort of system for a computer that, like,
converts that air into like an AC or something.
I was like in my room and I was like burning up in there because the computer was on.
I don't have an AC in the podcast room.
So it was like, I should probably trademark this idea.
Just have something you hook up to your PC that converts all that hot air into cold air
and automatically turns your PC into a portable AC unit.
million dollar idea Mike can you make that happen for new police
I'll try my best
I have a couple questions from chat actually that I want to get through just real quick
go for it
Days with pizza is that one piece in your background Ivan
yeah it is actually
actually it's one pie's
because those are ice cubes
I told like I said it's really hot so I figured maybe these
um um one piece
would uh cool me off a little bit oh it's actually move all that the background's actually moving
yeah it also almost look like poochy right
it kind of do actually yeah it just looks like it really like the eyes instead of up here
it's like over here you're only grab my wumpus real quick but one piece
so this is wumpus no what that's this is poochie and then wumpus is right there
But if Poochie's eyes are like down here, I mean, he had like something right there, I could totally see the Lumpus and Poogee.
If you do look closely, you can see the ice like bobbing up and down.
Like looking at these two. I don't know.
The eyes are actually, the eyes are actually completely the same.
By the way, have you ever tried sticking Wampus's nose inside Pucci's mouth?
It fits perfectly since you have both of them right there. Do it.
It's like, it like connects perfectly.
It actually does fit perfectly, surprisingly.
All right, well, maybe it was meant to be, guys.
Yeah, they're the homies.
Oh, and then one other one.
This is actually a really good question.
How has NCC been surviving during chip shortage?
Well, like, you know, every other company, it's no secret.
It's really hard to get your hands on hardware.
So, like, Mike and I personally don't deal with, you know, like the relationships with our vendors or suppliers or anything like that to get product.
but I do know it's been very challenging to get, not just, you know, CPUs, but GPUs and RAM and SSDs, like everything these last couple of years.
Right now, I think it's relatively not easy, but definitely easier than it has been, I guess, to get stuff.
So I guess the way you've been dealing is like everyone else, you know, just waiting.
that's all you can do really just wait agreed we're hoping that everything i mean the government just
launched a huge build to help with the chipset so hopefully that means that down the road everything
will start to be a little bit nicer especially with cars computers everything so hopefully everything goes
well actually there is one question hypergaming 26 will the nzxc company make peripherals well
let me go ahead to pull this up we do have peripherals we have actually
a bunch of stuff. We have from keyboards, mice, capture cards, mics and boom arms, and then we even
have like thermal pace and a vertical GPU kit. But if you want to take a look at some of these
stuff, you can take a look at our function keyboard, tons of different types. You know, 10 keyless,
they had a full 10 and then a mini TKL. We have to lift mouse with tons of different colors.
And then the signal capture card, which is obviously a capture card. So we do have.
keyboard keyboard cables chat cables we have a ton of peripherals so you guys honestly these are
really nice i actually especially like the mice with different colors i especially like
the white with the accents i personally love these and like one of one of the first questions we
got when we came out with our tibors of mice is are we going to make them wireless and uh i hope
we do one day because I was telling you Mike for this for this podcast that like I am not considering
to make my entire setup as wireless as possible because these cables are really annoying to me now
because now that I work more I've been working a lot more on my laptop than my desktop recently
and it's like starting to really bother me to just have to like like these tables and carry all
these different things around so now I'm like all right now I get it now I
understand why people prefer wireless.
I don't really care when I was working mostly on desktop,
because I was just like, yeah, it's always there.
I don't have to like transport the other putting in my backpack
or anything like that.
But now that I do, I'm just like, it makes sense.
I need something that just is not just plug and play,
but play.
I'm kind of tired of it.
Is NGXC aware of the custom keyboard community
from LaFrogfighter.
Because if they made a keyboard appealing to that community,
I bet it would sell incredibly well.
We do work with drop,
if you guys know,
drop keycaps.
So it's not completely out of Rome.
As a noun,
no plans for custom ones yet,
but not out of realm since we now have keyboards.
And we also work with drop
and other types of keycap companies.
So,
not around.
Yeah, we've also worked with tiny mixed things.
Yes.
Jelly key,
hot keys projects of
We're definitely aware of the, you know, mechanical, flash, custom, keyboard, keycap, community.
I know what my relatives have liquids near my computer.
I'm sure.
When will Dan be back as a guess?
Which Dan.
Which Dan?
We have, like, tons of Danes.
Or Dennis.
Talking about Dennis?
Oh, is it Dennis?
Dan.
Yeah, Dan.
We should have Dennis back on.
Yeah, you're also good.
I get a message.
Dennis update.
I could message him.
We can see if we can.
Maybe we could invite him back on for Hispanic Heritage Month.
Oh, that'll be fun.
Yeah.
Has NXT considered bringing back cases without glass side panels?
Well, I actually have a little bit of insight into this.
I believe the year was 2016.
We came out with, we're 2015 and 2016 around that time.
We actually came out with a H-440 case that was without the transparent side panel and it had foam
insulation on both panels.
For those I don't know, back in the day, the H440 used to for H-440, so for Hush.
So it was all about like making your computer.
computer as quiet as possible, right?
And we did that because we did see some people on social media, like, ask us about that.
You know, like, they were asking like, yeah, you guys are we going to make these cases without
the glass side panels.
And we were just like, well, we never really thought about it, but let's try it and see what
happened.
And what ended up happening is that not that many people bought them.
So we stopped doing that.
it's like
I know some people want that
but the vast majority of people don't want that
and when that's the case
you kind of as a company have to like
prioritize
giving people
giving most people what they want
trying to do as much as you can make the majority
of people happy because it's not cheap
to make products right
same thing with like people ask us
you know have you guys ever considered making
a case with the clear panel on the other side because they want to put it on their left side of their PC leave.
Well, the answer is like, of course we've considered it, but then that also changes the way the PC case is tooled.
Most hardware is designed to be on the right-hand side.
So, like, you put it on the left and the windows open, you know, your computer is basically going to be upside down.
think about it. Like your motherboard, your GPU, everything is going to be flipped. So like,
it's not as easy. I guess some people think it is. Like, you know, you might just think,
well, it's easy. You just put the window on the other side, problem solved or just put the,
or just make another panel as the same as the back one and close it up. But it's a little bit
more complicated than that. Yeah, any more questions for chat, Mike? Or should I get into the
Instagram ones? We haven't gone through those yet. Go ahead and go through Instagram. Yeah.
All right, let me pull up my phone.
Joe's Fleonner,
I always butcher names, so I'm sorry if I say it wrong.
They're asking NCST GPU when.
Another common question we get.
And, you know, what's interesting about this question to me is
if someone would have asked me this even a year ago,
I'd be like never.
Like there's no chance in head.
heck we're ever going to do that.
Because I feel like we're almost at the point where that's going to be like one of
the things like it's going to be left for us to do.
Because we already make keyboards, mice, microphones, monitor, you know, motherboards.
The only thing that's really left for us to do is like besides the GPU, it's like RAM,
SSD and a CPU.
And that's only like four products, you know.
So we've come a long way.
When I first started working here, all we did was basically cases and coolers.
And now it's, we're pretty much doing everything except for for those four or five products.
So my answer to that is hopefully one day, because I think it would be cool to see what NSXXs take on a graphics card would be.
you know, I don't want to
toot our own horn, but I do think our designs are really, really good.
So I feel like it would probably be one of the nicest looking graphics cards
that you'll ever see.
What do you think, Mike?
I agree.
Yeah, I mean, it's just going to take, you know,
it's not going to take, like, a week for us to be able to make GPUs and CPUs and RAM
and stuff like that.
Like, it takes a while, especially with everything going on,
with the chip shortage and supply chain and everything going on right now.
It's not like a, oh, you know what, let's just do it kind of thing.
It will take honestly, probably years for us to even get to that point.
But hopefully, yeah, hopefully down the road, we have like a full NZC setup.
Like we got monitors, we got keyboards, we got mice, we got cases, coolers, power supplies.
Now we just need to finish up the PC and then we're done.
Kind of related question from dotab.io.
Are you going to make speakers and our headphones to match the capsule?
For those that don't know, we did try making headphones or a headset, I should say, not just headphones.
A headset a couple of years ago, and we decided to pull away from that project.
We can go back to the drawing board and we're still working on them.
So the plan is, you know, to come out with a headset one day, hopefully soon.
Christian Balcev, three, will you guys ever make gram sticks?
I hope so.
NCC would look so good.
Let me see if there's any renditions of it on people's stuff.
I can go on.
I'll see if I could find a picture.
six, man, some of these user names make no sense.
Six MX Kaisal.
All right.
They want to know if we're ever going to make a purple NZXTH7.
Ooh, like a NZXT purple.
That would be kind of cool.
Yeah.
I mean, that's something like I personally think we should do.
Like, I feel like we should have all our cases available in a variety of different colors.
But it kind of goes back to the same question and answer we got about the, you know, making the case without a transparent panel or making a case that goes on your left-hand side of the, so it has the panel on the right.
Like having multiple colors is also, you know, more expensive.
And eventually when you start doing too many variations of stuff, you have to, like, pass.
along the cost of that stuff to the consumer because someone has to pay for it should pay for it right so it's like
if you have you know 20 different colors it's going to cost a lot more than if you just have one or two colors
and if it costs a lot more than the product has to cost more as well so it's kind of like finding the
the product team does their best to find the balance of like you hear what colors do the majority
of people want what can we do what's reasonable what can we charge or things like that so
it's not easy, but I personally, I'm with, I'm with this person, I would love to have, not just purple cases, but pink, yellow, red, green, you name it.
Yeah, I agree.
It's just, we had that kind of issue with, like, old cases, like the older, older ones, where we have, like, a different color scheme.
But most of the time, people just buy white and black.
That's what most people buy.
And those that do want a specific color, that's very, very strong.
few of them and I don't think there's as much demand for us to make like pure purple, pure pink,
pure green cases. But if there was a way for you to pay extra to get a custom version of it,
maybe, but that would also be pretty expensive. So we'll see.
Back in 2014, we actually had, I want to say, six or seven different colors of the H440.
We had a black one, a white one, a red one, a green one, an orange one, a blue one.
And the reason is because back in 2014 when that case came out,
you could actually find a lot of PC hardware in these different color schemes.
So, for example, back in 2014, you could buy a green motherboard or an orange mother.
or red ram or whatever.
There's tons of variety and color options.
And today, those options are not as, you know,
fast as they once were.
Like, obviously, you can still find, you know,
a funky-looking color out there,
but not as easy as you once could.
Now, most PC hardware you find nowadays is black or white.
it's it's not like really as colorful as it once was um you know yeah micula
i'll go for it oh yeah i was just saying i was she's voice said yeah colors aren't a thing more
yeah it just i think people have kind of moved away from like blue and like red and like crazy
color scenes it's becoming more it's just easier to have white and black to do it and let me show you
like also one of my favorite cases of all time which is the hyper beast
like look at
look at all this
this is beautiful
I would love to have this on my desk
but when people tend to have
certain
color schemes they want to go for
this is really hard to put in
versus a white or a black case
but hopefully down the road
I mean we are still doing
a bunch of craft cases
let me see if I can pull up the craft cases
like we are still doing craft cases
of like anime right here
with different types of color schemes
and stuff like that
like with the plus ultra with
all might but most
of the time it's just easier to do
white and black versus crazy
color seams like this like look how
amazing this is there's
I didn't run oh yeah this was the S340
and this is the H440
but like look at these two
beautiful
yeah shout out to
Brockhofer
over
so good
all right sorry go ahead
uh
micholage
maypel
ask when will there be a glass front panel for the H710?
The answer is kind of now for the H7, which replaces the H7, has a glass front panel with the H7.
Pyrophosphate says or ask, when will you guys make white fans?
Mike, can you pull up the white fans, please?
Yes, I can.
something really funny about this.
So before we actually used to make only white fans.
And then people would always ask,
can you guys please make black fans?
Because we would include white fans with all our cases.
So then we started including black fans with our cases.
And then we started, once we did that,
people started asking, can you guys please make white fans?
So what we do now is now we make both white and black
So now people can choose
Which would you like more white or black?
With my setup, I'm slowly becoming more of a white fan
Just because I love the brightness of white
But a lot of my desk, I can't really show it
But a lot of my desk is also black
Like my monitors are black, my mouse pad's black
I have a little wrist rest that's black
So really I like both
but I think there's the two ways
which is a lot of people like white
because it looks cleaner
or a lot of people like black
because it's just
it hides a lot of dirt and dirtiness
easily.
It just looks dark
and everyone likes black too
so it just kind of works out.
Yeah, I do remember when I had white fans
I would have to clean them a lot more
like they collect a lot more dust for some reason
or you can just see it more.
I prefer black
because white will end up being yellow.
True.
Charmster K
asked a very interesting question,
Mike.
Yes.
Is a hot dog a sandwich?
No, I'm going to say no.
I've heard this one before.
I'm putting my foot down and it is not a sandwich.
I'm going to say yes.
It is a sandwich.
I don't think so.
Because I don't know.
Because the definition of a sandwich is what?
Bread with filling.
sandwich. I'm going to look up
sandwich definition. We're going to look at us up.
Okay, an item
of food consisting of two
pieces of bread with meat, cheese,
or other filling between them.
Which is a hot dog.
But I don't think it is,
I kind of agree with
Loctara. A hot dog
is more of a taco than a sandwich.
Because a sandwich is that, like if the meat
and you had the two pieces of bread,
like if you ripped the thing,
like you ripped the hot dog
bun it did it, then I would consider it as
sandwich. But since it's like this
and it's together, it's one piece of bread.
I agree. A dot love,
I agree. A hot dog bun, though,
is two pieces of bread
connected.
See? I think
a hot dog is a sandwich.
I don't know. I don't know.
For example, like a Philly cheese steak.
Is that a sandwich?
Philly cheese steak?
Yeah.
I need a cheese.
I know I've eaten.
I just can't remember.
Um,
I guess yes,
because,
but there's also other stuff on it too.
It's not just meat and condiments.
It's like meat,
onions,
cheese,
but a Philly cheese steak is just a sub,
right?
Oh,
then I guess you could call
hot dog a sub then.
Not a sandwich,
but a subway sandwich then.
Why do they call it a subway sandwich then?
It's called a subway sandwich.
A hot dog,
a hot dog bun,
no restaurant or wicked.
A hot dog bug is a,
unique food delivery system made of dough, but it's not bread.
But wouldn't some way be more of a taco too since it's still a whole piece of bread?
Well, no, because a lot of times when they cut Subway sandwiches, they do it like an actual
sandwich now.
They don't do it as the taco version anymore.
They just cut completely straight through.
If you order anything, they pretty much cut through it like fully now.
All right. Next, next controversial question here from It's Your Boy, Micah.
Who would win in a fight?
Batman or Superman?
Superman?
Yeah, it's the easy, yeah, Superman, no doubt, because Batman's only power is he's rich.
I mean, I am a very big DC fan, so I have read a lot of comics.
I have also watched a lot of films and movies and,
read a lot into Batman for Superman.
And a lot of people are like, well, Batman, you know, he could out smart and stuff like that with kryptonite and stuff like that.
But I'm talking about like if he doesn't have Cryptonite, the only thing Superman would.
And I'm a big DC fan too.
And I love Batman.
That's a good point.
What Batman is probably rich enough where he can buy all the Crypto Night in the world and just build like a Cryptonite suit.
well he did in dark night rises
it's the it's an animated one not the not the uh dark night trilogy um he was able to make
kryptonite it took him years to do but he did make kryptonite um to fight superman so
in essence in essence i would say it's still superman because
it there's a oh there's a very famous quote and i
famous quote, but a very famous TikTok out there.
And all this guy talks about, because
you know how people go like Goku versus
Superman, uh, Ichigo
versus Goku, you know, stuff like that, right?
He talks about how people have really bad perceptions
of power scaling.
And they don't understand like, you know,
but what if, you know, it's always the what if.
I guess it's a hypothetical, but instead of going like,
looking at the cold off price, like Superman, literally one has one
leekness.
If Batman can't have that.
that one weakness, he won't win.
Like, there's no other way.
I guess the real answer is, like, who cares because they're comics, right?
True.
I know, but it's also fun to think about, like, the hypotheticals.
No rest of critical wicked also has a really good...
Saracha Zilla Batman's weakness is taxes.
Yeah.
That's the...
Hold on, let on.
I'll give you that.
It's true.
That's true.
Superman just killing with taxes.
Kill them with taxes.
I mean, Superman is, you know, what, a reporter?
So he's only making like, what, 50, 60,000 versus Batman.
He's getting just smacked with Texas.
Wow.
Superman can destroy the Earth.
That's true.
Maybe just destroys Earth that Batman's dead.
Makes sense.
Broccoli, whiz, asked, do you guys make a 200-millimeter fan, preferably in white RGB?
The answer is, no, we do not.
And I can give you the exact reason why, and that's because we don't have any case that supports a 200 millimeter fan.
Back in the day, we did with the Phantom, and we did make 200 millimeter fans, but it doesn't really make a lot of sense to make a product that doesn't support another product.
So maybe one day we make a 200 millimeter case, we'll have a 200 millimeter fan.
Nick Plad
Ask
Can the starter pro
handle two monitors
What do you say Mike?
What was that?
Starter Pro
handle two monitors?
Yeah.
Yeah, easily.
100%.
No, no questions asked.
I have a,
I had a 2012 PC.
It was a
power spec PC back then.
That thing was able to handle
two monitors and stream.
This thing literally had a GTX
670 and an i3
and it can handle two monitors
the problem is that the monitors that it uses was the vGA
the only ones he had to screw in
so that was a fun time but
most most PC I have three monitors going on right now
and it works perfectly fine and I'm screaming
was it
I need four I need to pump those numbers up
I would love to have four but remember I just have a desk
like I can't do four monitors like I can't
just mounted up top.
It would be great if I could,
but I think that's a lot to do just going here that's four here.
I would love to have,
I would love that for.
How days with pizza?
How do you have nine monitors?
How does that even work?
Do you have, like,
wait,
how do you have nine monitors?
Like, is that pot?
Like,
two eye street monitors?
How do you,
how do you do nine monitors?
Is it like four,
four and it like,
or like,
is it like two,
two, two, two, and
like one big one on top. He has a
U-shaped desk.
So in a U-shaped
desk, you have like
three three. Wait,
is, I have a question, is it
100% away?
Is it like, are there none stacked on top
of each other? Three on each
side?
So you're, so if you want to look
here, you have to look here to go all
the way around. That's a lot.
I feel like you can
condense that, you know?
Do you like 4, 4 and then like one big one on top or something like that, right?
That might be a little overkill, to be honest.
Yeah, I feel like that's a lot.
Yeah, how do you connect nine monitors?
Does he have like three GPUs in his PC?
I don't even know, I don't even know you could have nine monitors together.
Like I've seen four to five monitor setups.
I've seen that before.
You're almost double digit piece.
I feel like that's excessive at us.
a certain point.
Your daddy's chill.
Nine Mowers are for people
who don't close browser tabs.
That's true.
Oh, Waffles Stirrup
has another controversial
question for us. Oh, give it to me. I love these controversial
questions.
Flip-flops or slides?
I'd say,
well, technically not flip-flops,
slippers, as the Hawaiian
way is saying it.
I would say
slippers because I think they're more versatile.
Wrong.
But I have, I literally have slides on right now.
Yeah, my wife, my wife bought me some slippers, as you call them.
I put them on and I took them off right away and I was like, there's no way in hell I'm
wearing these.
And she said, why?
And it's like, because it feels like I'm wearing a fong on my toes.
It feels weird.
So you have like a, have that little thing.
and tinger toes.
I don't dig that feeling.
They do call...
I like...
Stombs in, uh...
Yeah.
In like Australia, I think, right?
Australia.
Yeah.
They call them thongs.
But like, wait, so what do you...
What do you wear to the beach then?
Slides.
My idea is slides.
Which my wife hates, by the way.
Like, that's what she bought me those...
Those slippers, as you call them.
Because she can't...
You call flip flops.
It's fine.
She can't stand my slides.
Like, she's always told me...
Why?
Like, she doesn't like them.
She tells me.
me take him off. She says I look like a
like a teenager
with my slides.
Do you wear socks with slides
or socks with sandals?
Both.
See that's the other thing too. It slides. You can wear
socks and it's
I think it's perfectly acceptable.
With the flip-flops,
you wear socks.
Like, the only way you're going to get away with that is if
your name is Linus, you know?
I wouldn't recommend it.
Like, you can wear
like here I'll pull up the dad I'm gonna pull up the dad sandals with socks
you guys know what I'm talking about right like if you if you go to a cookout
like a barbecue and you see the dad wearing this type of stuff right here
like you see if you see him wearing this you know it's gonna be a good cookout oh well
it's going to you know it's gonna be a good kickout like if you look at like if you if you
if you wear this if the your if the dad that is cooking is wearing this you know it's
be good. It's going to be one of the best things.
If he's wearing that with cargo shorts,
you know that barbecue's busing.
Dad barbecue outfit, hold on. Let's let's let's let this up.
Oh, here we go. Here we go. You got the jorts.
No, no. I mean, the tennis shoes are okay, but I'm thinking you cook out. You need the
socks of sandals, right? I think that's what you have to do. So you got to have like,
oh, here we go, here we go, here we go. This is it. This is it. Cargo shorts. You got an apron.
You got a sun hat.
Not this type of slippers.
Oh, yeah, I like this one better.
Yeah, here we go.
This is the, this.
This is the style right here.
Averid Hawaiian shirt.
You got some cargo pants or jorts.
Jorts are okay.
Okay.
The long high, almost knee high socks.
Like, you want to hit like mid-capt, not even mid-capped.
You want to hit like upper calf.
And then these like sandals.
Oh, you got to have these shades too, you know.
those that's when you know
I'm wearing I'm literally wearing
like four of those things
in that picture I have the watch look at the watch
oh you got the watch okay
the khaki
the khaki cargo
shorts on
as you can see I don't know we can see these
when they show up there they know
I got some white socks
with my slides
but I did take this I flipped the slides
my podcast.
So, you know, maybe, maybe I'll barbecue after this.
And I'm already geared up.
Let's do this.
Do you have, do you have a special apron, Ivan?
I do.
I don't wear it, though.
But I do have one, like one of those, like,
kiss-to-cook aprons or whatever.
But I mostly just wear whatever I'm wearing when I,
when I fire up the grill.
All right, we're almost out of time here, Mike.
Are there any other questions from the chat?
Oh, from chat before we hop off?
Yeah, I got one more.
I'll do it from Saitama Challenge.
I have a question.
What are the minimum requirements to become partner?
Well, there are really no requirements at all to be a partner.
We have those that have hundreds of viewers.
then we have some that don't even stream.
Like they physically don't have a Twitch.
You just have to be a content creator.
So you have to be making some sort of content.
And honestly, you just have to be a really good person
and they have a really cool audience.
That's it.
That's all it is.
We have people that literally don't stream.
They are strictly content creators on like social media.
But it just depends on who you are.
And you obviously have to have some audience.
You can't have like two viewers,
and be like, I'm a small, like, you have to have some sort of audience behind it so that,
remember, it's every, every sort of partnership and sponsorship, for those that are here that
don't, I know there are a lot of people that are out there that like, can I get sponsored by you?
I would become big and stuff like that.
I understand the idea behind it, but there's also, you have to also think about it from our
side too as it's the business transaction.
If we are putting resources to you, you also have to be giving resources back, right?
Like, we can't just give you a free piece.
for a sponsorship and then be like okay cool have fun like we have to also expect the money that
we put it if we give you a $3,000 PC we also have to expect $3,000 and maybe even more based on
that thing so just keep an eye out oh no on site town don't worry about you I'm talking about like
everyone in general like a lot of people here don't understand how sponsorships work so if you
guys want to get sponsored go for it don't hesitate to try but also you
You also have to be realistic in your aspects of it.
But yeah, no, there's no minimum requirements.
I don't literally anyone could be one.
If you go to nzat.com slash partner dash program and scroll to the bottom.
There's an FAQ there.
One of the question is, what are the program requirements?
And the answer to that, the official answer is we are looking for partners who stream
regularly, engage with their communities, positively impact the gaming community, and maintain a strong
following. There aren't any metrics to hit beyond the initial criteria to join. We just want you to be
you. So, you know, it all comes down to like the type of content you're creating and how, you know,
how you're engaging with your audience, you know, because there's some people that, you know, they don't
try maybe or maybe they just think like, oh, I'm going to turn on Twitch, go live, and I'm
going to be the next ninja.
But in reality, that's like probably not going to happen unless you were out there doing
these things.
You're engaging with your community.
You're making some sort of positive impact in the gaming community.
And that's what really helps you get a strong following.
And a strong following can be, you know, a strong following of 100 loyal people who just
tune in to your stream every day or you know thousand people that do the same thing every day so
there's no official like number um to that hopefully that answers a question
no best of luck y'all seriously like look try your best and heck you know you never know
what's going to happen and it doesn't hurt to try oh by the way for those that don't get a
No matter what happens if you apply for the partner program, you will get an approval or rejection email.
If you don't, if you don't get one, that means we haven't reviewed it.
And because we literally only have like one or two people really working on this, we get hundreds and thousands of applications to please be patient.
But, oh, Tiffany, squidderer thighs.
Oh, God.
I looked at that, I looked at the clip when I was editing it.
And I had to like zoom in on squitter's thighs.
and I like, they didn't realize how detailed his thighs were, Tiffany.
So thank you for that.
Thank you for making me spend 10 to 15 minutes, you know, cropping and getting everything
and staring at school with thighs for about 10 to 50 minutes.
So thank you for that.
Hyper Gaming 26 has an interesting question.
They ask, why do some professional overclockers like D8 hour don't use NZXC products
like their motherboard and some benchmarks.
I hope someday the NSECAT motherboard will be used to
and some overclock or benchmark competition.
And the answer and the reason for that is because our motherboard
is actually not designed to be like this like super crazy,
high-performance overclocking machine.
And the reason for that is intentional.
And the reason it's intentional is because
the vast majority of people who play video games
don't need to do that stuff.
And apart from that,
the goal with our motherboard
was to not only make it look
clean and seamless
with your entire build,
but to also eliminate
a lot of the
extra things you need to buy
for your computer. So that's why
our motherboard has a lot of
like RGB ports, spam ports,
USB ports, all these different things
instead of being
like overclocking type of motherboard
is because we wanted to focus on making it
simpler to use, simple to install,
and nicer to look at, basically.
But to address the other point,
you know, about hopefully one day
those motherboards are used for overclocking.
I hope so too.
You know, we just started making motherboards a couple of years ago.
So like hopefully, you know,
if we keep making motherboards, you know,
five years from now, who knows, maybe we'll have like one of those really super high-performance
motherboards that some people want us to make. But for now, you know, got to focus on what most
people need. And we think right now what most people need is like a pretty looking motherboard
that is easy to use and makes it a lot easier to build in. So crossing my fingers that hopefully
one day we do give you what you want. Oh, Tiffany has a good one.
collabs with
NZXT
has to happen
one day
I would kill
for like
oh my God
I'll kill for one
you know what
I love
I would love a Mega Man
I was gonna ask you
what's the best
Capcom game
did you something with
I was a very big fan
of
Mega Man
like that was like
my game
when I was young
I would kill
for a Mega Man
PC
like a cool one
of like
like an NXT
like H7
with like his
blast are going or something like that or like multiple
Mega Man of Robot Tao would be
Street Fighter would also be awesome too
Yeah, I think Street Fighter is the obvious answer for me
But
I think another cool
design might be
like Resident Evil maybe
I feel like we could do that but I don't know how
I don't know if it'll be
I don't can we do like
those type of games
I would love a Resident Evil one
I've played almost every single Resident Evil
I just don't know if it'll be
Chainsaw PC
Yeah exactly
Like
Street Fighter seems like Street Fighter honestly seems like
The most obvious answer just because it's
You know Street Fighter 6 is coming out
But the other thing too with
With fighting games is that most people play fighting games on console
Not console.
Oh true
So maybe
maybe the Street Fighter isn't the obvious answer, you know, but...
I don't Maximilian would love that.
Mega Man's cool too, but...
Mega Man is one of those games where...
Like, I...
I...
It honestly makes me rage quit, because it's so hard.
It's probably, like, one of the hardest games I ever played, to be honest.
Yeah, but that's the fun of it.
You know, it's like Dark Souls, but less Dark Souls, but, like,
it's the idea, like, you have to understand.
and like learn the game as you go on, you know?
Yeah.
It's just one of those games that's like I've never been able to beat
my entire life.
And my 40 years or almost 40 years of playing video games,
like I've never beat a Mega Man.
Really?
It drives me little nuts.
No, never.
I love it.
It's just makes me, makes me really rage great at times.
You want to show this custom from Douglas Alves.
Like this, this, uh, mod.
of a PC.
That's pretty cool.
The umbrella core on top and everything like that.
That's pretty cool.
Honestly, that's a,
that this is a pretty,
that's pretty dope.
Not going to lie.
Pretty cool.
I'll give it that.
All right.
Sorry,
I just saw,
I was just looking up like,
wonder if there has been Resident Evil PCs
because I wasn't thinking,
I was thinking Street Fighter.
Street Fire I've seen all the time,
but Resident Evil.
What website was that?
Pinterest.
Yeah.
You're logged in.
Add a comment.
This was like, sick.
This is like a couple years ago, though.
So I don't know if it would be feasible to comment on it.
This is like four years ago.
Yeah, it's like four years ago.
I don't know if it would be a good idea to comment on it.
For God, we made a NZXT Pinterest account.
Honestly, we should start using it more.
No time.
No time.
Do you have any other questions?
Um, no.
but I will be going through Instagram and Facebook later today
and answering these questions there if you didn't tune into the podcast live.
So get us up there, ask more questions there, and hopefully we'll answer them.
Yeah, and thank you to everyone that asks questions and stick around for the answers.
I love these types of podcasts.
Yeah, it's just relaxed.
And also, I like to debate, like, controversial questions.
If you guys have any fun controversial questions, please, like, send those in because, like, those are fun.
Hot dog sandwich that I'm right.
Oh, you know, next time I'll make sure to do one of like Pokemon versus like a billion lines or something like that.
I will fight this one to death.
So we'll do one next week.
Yeah.
Okay.
I guess I'll go straight into announcements.
Sound good?
Cool.
All right.
Not the lines question.
Yeah, they know about it.
Okay.
So three really.
really, really awesome announcements. I feel like everyone, I know like people do
announcements stuff like that. These three are really awesome. Like these are incredible to do. The first one,
we are participating in Intel Gamer Days. We have like, we got like big giveaways. We got
video games. We got exclusive Intel pre-built. Take a look. Seriously, take a look at our socials.
If you want to take a look at what we're doing. We are doing so much for Intel. It's awesome.
Please take a look at that. The second one, which is one of my favorites, is
QuakeCon is happening and we are giving away a limited edition QuakeCon PC valued at $2,500.
So that one, like we talked about custom PCs.
This is an awesome one.
So I love the color screens of it.
It's like the orange and like seagreen.
Love to love this thing.
So join it.
It's free.
Also one more thing about quake con is it starts today.
It's all virtual.
And one of the things that we're also sponsoring,
is the PC Building 101 stream, which starts in exactly one hour from now.
I think it's 12.
15 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
If you're listening live, make sure you tune in because you're going to have a very special guest appearance from our very own Andy.
Andy.
Yes.
So it's really cool because they're going to be building a PC trail out of using one of our, uh, using one of our, uh,
BLD kits.
So if you have never built one or you have built one but you're still kind of shaky on it,

I will also be participating down to road on a very special gameplay stream down the road. So keep an eye out for that. Seriously, probably one of my favorite games. And if anyone wants to play it, you're more to welcome to take a look into Steam Store. Worth the money 100%.
