everyone and welcome to episode 136 of the NCC podcast, the official podcast of the NCT community.
This podcast recorded live every Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific Center time on the official NXC Twitch
is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
My name is Mike, and with me, as always, is Ivan. Ivan, how are you doing?
I'm doing good, Mike. Very happy to be here for our second Hispanic Heritage Month podcast.
And even more excited because we have a very special guest.
I believe it's our second time on the podcast, but first time during Hispanic Heritage Month.
And it's Rosa.
Rosa, how are you doing?
Hello, everyone.
I'm really excited to be here.
Yeah, this is my second time.
But the first one was in 2019, my first year on N60.
So I don't know.
I love being here.
I love these things.
I love working with you and messing with you.
So thank you for inviting me again.
you do mess with me
yeah I think
actually we have Rosa on
when we first
launched the podcast
just a long time
that was a while ago
we're on episode 146 so this was
yeah
oh god
almost three years ago
for me
I'm still new in the company
but the reality is that
I'm of course
there are people with
a long trajectory here in the company, but I don't know.
There's a lot of, is this my first anniversary in the company?
This is my second anniversary.
And it's like, wow, okay, I'm going to for the fourth year.
Close.
So, yeah.
Before we continue, I do want to apologize to our live audience because my webcam is
like zoomed in pretty much up my nose right now.
But I have a good, good excuse, Mike, if you want to show my current setup.
Yeah, let me see I could pull up.
Yeah, I had to do the podcast from home last minute today, so it's like the jankiest of janky.
This is Ivan's setup, everyone.
Yeah.
And if you're listening to this only, it's like I have a laptop on top of a diaper box with
I guess it's kind of like a USB hub sticking out of it
with like a jangled mess of wires all over the place
and that's the only way can get the
computer today.
Garry just slap some
RGB on it. It's good to go. That is true.
Ah, seriously.
Yeah, so if Ivan has some issues with it, please
please be nice. Actually, no, be me too.
Yes. Yes.
but enough about me and my janky setup.
Rosa, please tell us what country are you representing today for Hispanic Heritage Month?
Representing Spain, but I would love to say that I'm starting, at least in the company,
of not putting limits of the country, because right now I'm,
just for a month ago, I started to work as a Spanish community manager, but at a global
level. So yeah, I am represented in Spain and I think that's what I can talk much today.
But I want to start thinking about an Hispanic community as a global one, you know?
But yeah, from Spain.
And for those that don't, you mentioned your job title briefly, but for those who don't know or didn't listen to the first podcast with you,
can you explain a little bit more about what you do exactly at NZXT?
Yeah, I've been working for three and a half years as PR, a marketing manager for Iberia.
So I was the one who was running marketing, public relationships, social media, community,
quite everything except sales around Spain and Portugal.
And since last month, I'm the Spanish community manager, as I was telling,
I also keep running PR, the public relationships for Spain.
So right now my job would be to develop all the community, all the Spanish community.
Now not only for Spain, but for all over the world.
And of course, one of my favorite parts that is to work with content creators and influencers.
I really enjoy that part.
And that's something I keep doing.
So I'm really happy to be at my actual position.
And you mentioned you've been at NZXT for how long again?
I joined on March 2019, so three years and a half.
Well, time flies. It feels like you just started yesterday.
Yeah, no, no. I was telling this that I think I keep feeling like I'm new to the company
or this small feeling, you know, inside a company.
But when I think about that, it's like, wow.
Time flies.
So what's been the most fun thing about your job here?
For me, the most fun thing always has been working with content creators and community,
but I'm going to stay with content creators because when I joined the company,
I really wanted to start a team of ambassadors.
And I think it's the thing I'm most proud of my work,
the Spanish ambassador team that we have.
and working with them is super fun.
And I could say another example.
I don't know if you guys know Yvai.
He's a really super famous Spanish influencer.
He has like all the Twitch, the global Twitch records, I think,
at least on views and no, the Spanish community on Twitter is insane.
Not the Spanish from Spain, but the global Spanish.
This is confusing for me.
And I work on two of his events for NCXT.
And I think the most fun event I was participate for NCXT was a card racing that N60 was sponsoring.
So that was insane.
I was there in this place where all the cards were running and with NCXT on this podium, you know.
and I don't know, I remember this day, that day, like, it was amazing.
It was amazing.
So what's the best experience you have, like, to this day that you're like,
this is my favorite memory of working at a TZC?
I think that one, it would be that one, but just because my work is at home, like, 99.99% of the time.
So once I have the opportunity to go to an event, or for example,
Another good memory I have was on Christmas of my first year here, that all the European team traveled to Europe before COVID.
And we met each other.
I met for the first time in person, a lot of my co-workers.
And I think that's why for me, Evans are so, so important.
Because I'm having so much fun and I love working from home.
But at the same time, I miss.
And with COVID, we didn't.
I can't wait to again go to gaming events.
Even it's not a work thing, you know, just to enjoy and hang out with everyone,
with all the influencers that over these three years I've been working with,
I just want to give them, all of them a big hug and just, I don't know, take some drinks and just talk.
So that's why I think I feel as such a big thing that,
that few events that I could go as a sponsor for N6.
So you talk about how working remotely and everything
and not being able to go to these conventions that's been hard.
Has that been like the most challenging part of your job?
Or is there something else that's like the more like, this is hard?
Is it difficult?
No, actually, for example, I know that for lots of companies and people,
they have changed, they had changed a lot for.
COVID, like going to the office to start working at home with the families.
And for me it's like, for example, COVID didn't have that impact on my life because my work
life was exactly the same. Nothing changed. The only difference was, yeah, I can go to events,
but that's all. So I think the most challenge thing has been to develop big projects with a really
small budget because we need to understand that we are in a company, in a big company,
where Spain is not one of the biggest markets.
So it's a reality the company needs to adapt to and invest
in proportion of where they got that return of money back.
And Spain actually is a small region for NCC,
but for me the most challenge thing,
and it's something that is in the present.
I think it's going to be forever and ever my biggest challenge here
to prove the company that the Spanish community is amazing.
All over the world, there are too many people creating so many amazing things.
We have an amazing, a huge gaming community, and that is, we are worth it.
So I think that's my biggest challenge.
And I'm actually really proud about management, so many big projects and super-interest
marketing events or sponsorships with really small budgets. So yeah, I think that's the most
difficult part. Yeah, well, it's difficult, but you're doing a good job, so keep up to good work.
I'm curious though, Rosa, what did you do before you started working at NCXT?
I am a physiotherapist. I don't know if I need to say that in present because I forgot everything.
I was a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist.
So before NCCD, I was working on the health industry, I think.
That's the correct word in English.
And I...
Mike and I need to fly you to America because me and Mike, every single morning, the first thing...
We say good morning to each other every single morning,
and then like the next sentence that we type out is literally like what hurts us.
It's like, oh, my back is killing me this morning, or I slept wrong, like a bag tits for my neck.
You know, when you're like an informatic, someone who works with a computer and everyone is going on your mom, like, hey, my washing machine is not working.
Can you come here?
If you're a physiotherapist, all your friends, all your co-work is like, oh, my neck, please do something.
It's like, no, please stop.
I'm the one who is more broken.
The physiotherapist need physiotherapies.
So, yeah, I don't know, I'm not the best choice right now for you, but yeah.
So I was working.
You're a physical therapist.
How did you actually get started working in the gaming industry from that?
I love that story.
Not because it's my story, it's because I think it's like a fantastic story.
I won the lottery, actually, with this change of life.
I was really tired on the press with my...
I work as a physiotherapist because the conditions in Spain and I guess other other places and countries are really tough and hard.
And I had a really bad experience during my last contract.
And when that contract finished, I was like, I can't keep going.
So I need a change.
So I used a few months to study marketing because
during my free time I've always been around video game.
And I was for a few years video game press,
writing articles and reviews.
Then I jumped to podcasts where I met my my fiance actually.
Then I started to create content on Twitch on YouTube.
So I've been always doing things around video games,
also around e-sports.
I was for a short time on a team
on Overwoods, for Overwoods.
And then I start to be manager of a few teams,
then community managers.
And that's where I realized that I wanted to have a title
to prove that I knew I have a lot of knowledge
and a little bit of experience around community management,
even marketing.
So I started.
And once I was doing my final exams, Mariela,
that was my first.
was here, Marilla is in and it's a really big part for NCXT for Europe and Spain, actually
contact me like hey do you want to work in NCXT and it was like excuse me where is the
the wake-come where is the what's the joke here and it was because on Twitch I was
running some charity streamings for for animal shelters to take to yeah to take
money for animals that were abandoned and NCXT was one of the first sponsorships
and after two or three or three I think three editions of NCXT are sponsoring that
event so my Twitter channel Mariela was like following me on social media
and I knew me a little bit and she knew I was studying and finished my studies of
marketing and just proposed me to join the company so I I didn't have any idea
about how my life was going to be.
I just knew that I wanted a change.
I won the lottery for me.
I will always say this, that N60 is my personal lottery.
And do you say that because you always
wanted to work in the game industry?
I think I've never imagined to be working,
not even close to video game.
Maybe I thought more about esports, because I was running
a few projects that were starting to be big, you know,
as like communication director of one Eastford Club.
And I wanted to maybe try and work around that,
but really I would never imagine of ending here
or working as close as video games.
I do now, and I love that.
And what advice would you give to someone who aspires to work in the gaming industry?
I always say that my story I think is not easy to repeat.
So don't try to replicate my story.
But at the same time, I think you can learn something from my experience.
And it's like even you think there's no one looking, do your best.
and work really hard and show your talent.
Because for example, that's what opened the door for me.
To just, I wanted to collect money for animals
and I was working because I worked really, really hard
to prepare that charity streamings.
And there was someone there looking for me
and who gave me the opportunity.
So of course you need to study.
Of course, my recommendation is to jump to every project
that you start working or collaborate or,
or I know that work free sucks,
and I'm not defending like, hey, work for free, no, please.
Stop working for free.
But at the same time, you need to mess with everything, to participate,
to make you yourself like a name around the industry.
Because right now the video game industry, with all tweets, YouTube,
it's like saturated, you know, it's too much.
And it's really difficult for any company or any...
want to know you and give you an opportunity. So study, try to do as much as you can.
And even you think, even for social media, maybe you, I don't know, maybe you attract
someone or a future opportunity, even just with your social media, you know.
Me and Mike went to clown state for our social media degrees.
right call hunkers we we uh we graduated and got our uh BS or Bachelor of Science in Clownology
we graduate with a red nose and clown juice
I I love to copy all of your content because I think it's amazing so keep going please
with these cloning content because I love it and I will keep using for Spain
be well
Oh, Soi Cloud actually asked
Rosa, what did you study?
It was even a degree
on the university or anything like that.
It was an online course.
Like, I can't remember the name
exactly. It was like marketing,
e-commerce, community management.
So I just find
some studies that
prove me to give me
in Spanish. We call this the titulity.
is that you need to have titles on your curriculum to prove that you know things.
So for me, I just find out the best online teaching that with that title prove everything,
or at least open me the opportunity of everything, to show everything I knew.
So it was, sorry, I can be more specific.
A lot of people ask me, like, I want to work on the,
video game industry or something similar as you are doing what should i study and it's like i'm so
sorry i can help you but i'm not the best example because i just did one one course focus on
marketing you know and here i am learning what i work so yeah interesting so um so the main point
of this Hispanic characters month is to kind of uh showcase the different cultures of every
thing for what it is to be Hispanic.
And a lot of people tend to think about Hispanic as basically only those that are from Mexico,
but you are from Spain.
So first, we kind of want to go into your life in Spain.
So how is it living there?
I think Spain is something.
Actually, I think we're, the Spanish people are not, we are proud of our country because we
love it and we love the people and everything.
but we are, I think it's a huge different with actually United States or a lot of Latam countries that, for example, when I visit about, America, I only visit Panama once a long time ago.
And I was shocked like with all, most of the cars have the flag of the country, you know.
And here is Spain is like, we love the country, but we don't show that proud, at least not much.
a part of the population, we are not showing
that proud of bees from Spain, you know, outside,
except when you're traveling or when there is a football match
or the Olympic Games or something like that.
But outside that, it's like, I love to live here
because it's a super rich.
For example, I love traveling,
and there's tons of different places.
You can have mountains, you can have beach, you can have...
It's amazing for tourism.
The food is our most precious treasure.
Outside Spain is like,
sorry, how do you live with this?
So I don't know, living from Spain, I think I love it.
Sometimes it's too hot.
I'm too jealous while green our meetings on NCXT,
everyone is with the hoodies and everything.
and I'm just like with the fun and dying
but I'll say that I love
I love the country, I love the people
I love the food I love everything
actually I would love to stay
to keep living in Spain
and growing up in Spain
did you identify with the term Hispanic
yes
but like growing up
for me it was like
I think like the concept that we were
the only ones
or at least separating Spanish from Spain
and Latam for the American-Spanic countries,
the countries from inside America that speak Spanish.
And I've been not fighting, learning a lot with that concept
because I don't know, I don't know how to explain it, really.
But...
Yeah, it's interesting because Spain is the only Hispanic part of the world right there in that little region right there where you're at, right?
Yes.
And then there are too many places and people who speak Spanish.
But we are like, as you were saying, we are like alone.
So my concept that's maybe as a kid is like, okay, we are the ones.
You know, we are just Spain is here and that's all.
Do you know the difference between Hispanic and Latino?
I've been started...
So if you don't.
No, no, no. I mean, I did my homework and I don't know if the answer is correct.
But actually, Latino is for people or countries who has to speak a language derivated.
they're derivated from from Latin and that will be I guess at least from from from what
we call Latin America sometimes the regions that speak Spanish French and
there's another and Portuguese of course so I think Hispanic would be only for
regions or people who speak Spanish that was a question right and then you know
It could be...
But for me, honestly, as a Spanish from Spain, Latino is from the Hispanic America and Spanish is from Spain.
But I know that this concept is just because I live here, you know?
I think you got the answer right.
So if the Hispanic refers to having a origin that comes from a Spanish-speaking nation,
So if you're in Mexico, you speak Spanish, then you're Hispanic.
Then Latino is from Latin American countries.
So not every country in America speaks Spanish.
So like, for example, in Brazil where they speak Portuguese, they are considered Latino, but not Hispanic.
And the reason I ask you that question is because it's really confusing, you know, and I was curious if, if you.
knew the answer because Spain, like I mentioned earlier, it's you're kind of isolated from other
Hispanics, you know, and you know, here growing up in Los Angeles, so close to Mexico, it's
honestly like it feels like I am in Mexico a lot of times. Like I go into stores and restaurants
and I speak Spanish and it's not like weird, you know.
And also, I think Los Angeles is kind of a melting pot for different, different Hispanics and Latinos.
So you come across a lot of different people from different backgrounds like El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, everywhere.
And I don't know, like, that's why I asked you that earlier, too, like, if you identified as Hispanic, because I don't know if Spain is the same way.
Like, is it in Spain, you know, do you think people in Spain or people outside of Spain realize that Spaniers are Hispanic?
Well, outside Spain or outside Hispanic countries, I think they're all really, really confused.
And because, for example, when I play online games and someone find out that I'm, I speak Spanish.
they call us Mexicans.
Even we are in the European servers, you know?
So I think outside Spain is a lot of confusion over there.
And by the way, they say Mexican as something that disrespectful.
It's like, why?
I just don't get it, but okay.
But yeah, I think for me, and I don't know if I'm the only one from Spain,
and just talking about myself.
But yeah, I identified all of my neighbors, you know, in Spain.
Spanish and then wrongly maybe I would say the Hispanic American people I would call
him them sorry um Latinos but I was researching these days because of this month
that we are celebrating and I've I've been learning a lot so yeah yeah and then
what's what's interesting about that you know like you said when I speak Spanish they
call me Mexican. And I've noticed so many times here in the United States where if you speak Spanish,
no matter what your background is, you could be from Puerto Rico, you could be from Dominican Republic,
you can be from Venezuela, you can be from Mexico, it doesn't matter. If you speak Spanish,
some people will just call you Spanish. You know, like they refer to you as Spanish people and just
because you speak Spanish, but it's like that is not what that means, you know. I don't know. You're Spanish
because you live in Spain.
Yeah.
I think people are confused.
I don't know why no one, not even ourselves,
and ourselves with all the Spanish speakers,
use more the term Hispanic.
We think, you know, not Spanish, Spanish.
And that will be, if someone find out online
that I speak Spanish and call me,
ha, Hispanic, it will be, yes, exactly.
but yeah, that Mexican thing happens here as well.
I don't know.
It's the concept that people have.
So do, since Spain is one of the only Hispanic European countries,
do you see them perceived or do they perceive or are perceived differently by other Hispanics and Latinos?
Like, do you see that difference between the two?
Inside the company, are you asking?
Oh, no, everywhere.
inside company, outside company, everything.
Yes.
I think there is a big difference
in so many levels.
We identified as
like kind of a brotherhood,
you know, relationship.
But at the same time,
now, for example,
I've started running,
working on the Latin social accounts.
For me, it's a big challenge
because the language is the same.
but at the same time it's so different, so different.
There are so many words that have a different meaning,
if you are in Spain and in every, any American-Spanic country.
Wow, these days have been like,
I think I need to create a dictionary of two different versions of Spanish, you know?
So I think there are, not only the language, I think there is a language,
lot. I think the American and Spanish countries has really, are really unique cultures. Each one of
them is different. So we share lots of things, but at the same time, the Spanish from Spain culture
is way different as the one you can find Mexico in Guatemala, in Panama, in everywhere. So I think
this is something completely beautiful, because as with a brother, you can share lots of things.
but you can be completely different at the same time.
And I love that.
And what do you think about Hispanic Heritage Month,
even though it's a US-only event?
I think it's amazing for me.
It's a surprise because I think I'm missing a really important historic lesson
from your regions, you know, from America, at least, from US,
because I think I don't know so much about
the history of all the Hispanic regions over there
and even I've been reading that the Latino world
has been used and this is not a teach any lesson because I don't
I'm not sure about anything I'm going to say but I read that the Latino
word was used by United States to try to cut the
Spain culture influence there
So I think it's something really important and I love so much, but I feel it kind of from outside
because maybe the things that are motivating this month, we don't have that we don't have
that needs here in Spain, I think so. But again, I'm missing a lot of information.
Yeah, but are there any celebrations in Spain that you're aware of?
Yeah, we have the, like, the festivity of the, like, like, Spanishida.
We celebrate our Spanish festivities.
I don't know how to say this in English.
But yeah, we have.
I, I'm horrible with the dates.
I'm sure that in the chat, there were people who knows when we celebrate in Spain or Hispanic, you know, festivities.
But yeah, we have them.
We have them.
And actually,
since I've more implicated on social media,
every time we, the Spanish from Spain,
celebrate that,
I always seen references for, like, guilty or someone blaming us in Spanish,
like, give our gold back, you know, it's like, oh my God,
I just was born.
It's like, I don't know, I don't have any goal, I'm poor.
here. So please don't take anything from me. I'm sorry. I feel so ashamed about some part past of my country,
but I can do, I'm not responsible. It's not your fault, yeah. It's interesting that actually
you bring up an interesting point because for me, you know, I'm Mexican American, first generation
Mexican American, but my parents are from, we're born in Mexico, but on my mom's side, um,
her grandparents were born in Spain and came over to Mexico.
And it's like the, a lot of like people in Mexico do have a little bit of animosity towards Spain because they conquered Mexico.
You know, but it's, you think about it, if Spain didn't do that, you know, we wouldn't have a lot of what we have right now in Mexico, like mainly, obviously the language.
You know, but a lot of the cultures and traditions were brought over from Europe as well.
So it's kind of like, you know, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know what to think about that.
It's just really, really interesting when you think when you start tracing back like the history of certain nations.
Like, wow, like I can't believe that happened.
You know, like here in the United States, you know, not only are there like a lot of, you know, Hispanics and Latinos here, like literally
half the country belonged to Mexico at one point.
And, you know, it kind of makes sense.
Like, well, yeah, no wonder I can go to any grocery store around here and like speak
Spanish and like not even think twice about it.
But for some people that don't really know what that experience is like, they might think
it's like super foreign and strange, right?
So really interesting to learn about the history of different countries.
And I would love to have that feeling while I travel because, for example, in Europe,
or maybe even in Asia,
sorry, when you travel.
And well, it happens also with English.
But for example, I speak only English and Spanish.
And when I travel, it's like,
okay, no one is understanding me.
You know, I speak two of the most spoken languages
and you can interact with, I don't know,
but even France, France that is right there.
So it's funny.
It's funny. I would love to go in a different region from where I'm from and go to a shop and speaking Spanish.
That will be awesome.
And now that you know a little bit about, or not a little bit, now that you know, but not Hispanic Heritage Month,
and know, I guess, more about what it means to be Hispanic.
Is there anything in particular that you'd like to do now to celebrate Spain?
I can't.
Wow.
I don't know.
I can't figure out about anything specific to celebrate Spain because the feeling that I'm getting from all of this, from learning about this month, for participating here and everything, or having this conversation, the feeling that I'm, is growing up on me is like, okay, I need to, we need to like to hang out both sides of the cultures, you know, and know more about each other. So maybe from that part of Spain would be,
like to share more things about my region, my culture, and everything. And maybe even
compare, but not like as a competition, but compare and laugh about the difference of that. So
maybe what's interesting for this month only talking about the Spain is maybe share how things
are over here. Yeah. And I think you also mentioned learning more
about the different cultures, which I...
That's actually what I'm doing the most to be honest, to be honest,
is like, I've been Googling, you know, like,
different countries just to learn more about them.
Because I'm, unlike you, I don't know much either.
Like, I'm Mexican-American.
I know a little bit about Mexico, and that's it.
Like, I don't know much about anything else, so that's awesome.
Completely.
I don't know anything.
If I'm realistic, I don't know anything about Mexico, but why, you know.
I don't know.
I only know a little bit about Panama because I was there when I was 16.
That's all.
I think learning is not even only really intercede,
but also necessary to open our minds a little bit.
As long as you try to learn,
as long as you try to learn the culture,
like you're trying to understand it.
Exactly.
That's all you give you.
You don't have to be 100% perfect.
You don't have to be 100% fluent language.
But if you try and at least learn and,
think that will help a lot of countries out.
I mean, a lot of people out to understand, like,
there are different cultures, there are different people,
and to understand that everyone is different
and everyone has these different types of personalities and languages
and everything and heritage and culture, tradition,
maybe that will help out.
Just try to learn.
It doesn't mean you have to accept it,
just try to understand.
So it's time for my favorite part of the show.
It's where Mike asked you a bunch of,
of random questions that you have to answer as quickly as possible. You don't have to think too much,
so Mike, take it away. All right. First question. What is your tattoo? Oh, I have this box
that is like a personal meaning of get over difficult situations. And this is from the Lord of the Rings
because it's a saga that I love too much and connects myself with my father. I love that. How long did it
take for you to get that tattoo done?
This one hour, maybe.
I would love to have my arm at least over here.
I want to do more tattoos, but money, you know, so I'm safe.
Do you have any plans?
Yeah, I have plans.
I will love to, actually, I would love to tattoo one Hispanic game that I would
recommend you all and you don't need to know the language, not only because it's not,
it's not translated.
No, you don't need to speak the language because.
they don't speak at all during the whole game.
It's like experience of feelings.
And I'm going to write down on the chat the name.
It's Greece.
It's gray in Spanish.
And once I finish the game,
I start crying because connect me with something really, really personal.
And it's amazing.
It's so beautiful.
And I would love maybe to tattoo it here
because actually it will be like,
have some connection with the fox.
So yeah, I have planned.
Oh my god, this game is highly rated.
Please, please.
It's a devolver digital game which they make no bad games.
These, the people who made this game are from Barcelona and they are completely insane.
Please play everyone in Greece.
It's a, it's a, a feeling trip we can say. I don't know how to describe it in English, but
it changed my life.
These ratings are insane.
It's amazing.
And the music, the, whoo, I have my
my skin, like, I don't know
how to say that in English, but
oh, it's super, it's amazing.
Yeah.
We played it.
Yeah. It officially has a
10 out of 10 rating on Steam, which I don't
think I've ever seen before.
I think I've ever seen a game that has a 10 out of 10 rating.
So I'm hanging this on my list right now.
Only Peppa Pig. Only Peppa Pig.
Only Peppa Pig.
Yeah. Look up the Peppa Pig
rating.
Peppa Pig game?
Yeah.
Yeah.
No way.
On Steam?
On Steam?
Everywhere.
Like, it has like 10 out of 10 everywhere you look, man.
Oh, it's only 9 out of 10 for Peppa Pig on Steam.
Praise Peppa.
You should, when you're bored, read the reviews for Peppa Pig.
They're hilarious.
Hold on.
The reviews?
People were saying the same thing.
Yeah.
People were saying the same thing.
Same thing Rosa's saying about Greece.
It's like, Peppa Pig changed my lives.
The artwork is gorgeous.
It's literally like the same exact.
I love him.
Finding Daddy Pig's glasses was the biggest accomplishment in the past 10 years.
I wish I was joking.
I was invited to Pepa House.
Daddy Pig may be due salad to him.
Who is really the guess here.
I don't understand that one.
I'm a 45-year-older scholar.
Probably one of the oldest people playing this game.
I couldn't be bothered to have a son who would not be playing this game for
Christmas.
It's amazing.
I love internet.
So play grease and then play Peppa Pete.
Yes.
She get a Peppa pig tattoo,
Dext.
That's the next goal.
That's the next tattoo.
So we're hidden.
Just get some muddy puddles
tattooed on the bottom of your feet.
All right.
For the next question, roller skates or rollerblades?
Roller skates or rollerblades?
What is roller blades?
Blades are the ones that's in a line, and then roller skates are the ones.
I've used both, but right now I'm learning how to roll the skate.
So, yeah, the two and two, the four, the roller skates.
I'm, I don't know.
I'm enjoying so much.
Rosa is a...
I've been enjoying watching those updates.
Yeah, Rosa is basically like a professional.
roller skater guys.
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm professional to fill down,
to fell off the ground.
That's, I'm a pro.
I never heard myself.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
What percentage of your body does,
what percentage of your body does roller skating work out?
Um, wow.
Uh, 70%.
80%.
80%?
That's close.
That's actually a really good workout.
No, he's, I,
I mean the 70% right now because I'm like
roller skating like this so I'm not moving that much
but once I learn a little bit more I will go to that 80%.
You're basically working out 20%,
just your feet going like this.
Exactly.
How many calories does roller skating burn in an hour?
Wow, I don't have any idea about calories at all.
No, I've never knew how to calculate.
calories.
In one hour.
200.
I don't know.
Again.
650, actually.
That's like almost a full lunch right there.
You should see me when I roll
when I roll the skate is like if I just go out of the shower.
So for me, maybe.
Because of the concentration is the physical exercise and the concentration for me.
So it's like multiply the.
the exercise for me.
Ivan, I think we need to start roller skating
because every single time we always tell
every single morning, Texas, good morning,
I feel awful. I think maybe we should start
roller skating to counter it.
Well, you know, it's fun.
The reason I like watching Rosa's
updates on social
media, which you post her roller skating
is because
a little new fact about me is I am actually
a really good roller skater.
What?
I love roller skating, man.
Like, I watch Rosa and I'm like, damn, she's getting it.
She's getting it.
Like, I'm training for her.
Like, she's almost there.
We need to meet on person to roller skate.
Mike and I, like, going like this and I run around doing fashion things.
Yeah.
I don't roller skate anymore, but like, whenever I go to like a roller rink,
I'll throw them on and like I can, you know, it's like walking for me.
I go backwards and jump and all that stuff.
I still skateboard.
Everyone's so cool.
I barely can walk and everyone's just like, I skateboard.
I can barely walk without tripping.
I've never done anything like this.
I just, I don't know.
It's something I loved when I was little,
but I never learned how to do anything.
I just go like, go, go right and stop with a tree.
That's all I did when I was little.
So I don't know.
I start watching.
content on Instagram because I'm not yet
really a TikToker or I don't
use TikTok that much in my personal time
and I start watching these videos and reels
and everything is like oh my God I want to do this
and that's how I started and I'm now in love with a roller skate
so yeah awesome
all right next one first ever game you had
um I have I don't know the first video games I remember
monkey Iceland
the first one
and the first Tomrider
because my father
was playing them
and the first video games
I remember to play
it's Tomrider 2
the one with them
damn the word
butler
Butler
Butler
yeah following you
that you
close him in the fridge
and H of Empires
please HV empire
one of the loves of my lives
so that's our
the first video games I remember
watching or playing.
Is Greece your favorite game of all time
or is there another game that's considered
your favorite game?
Can't pick one.
It's for me.
No, no, no, I can't. H of Empire 2.
Portal,
and Portal 2.
Greece. The Last of Us,
I'm a huge fan of the Last of a saga.
I can't, I can't. I could choose
4 or 5, but I can't say
okay, I'm going with
Age of Empires. That will
hurt me so much because I miss the other
one. What games are you
playing now?
Right now
I'm playing
Overwatch again. Actually, I was talking to you about that.
I guess the Overwatch 2 hype is
inside my body and it's a really important
game for me and for my fiancest, so
we are playing again Overwatch.
We play a League of Legends, but only
the Arams. It's the same, no, in English?
Same. It's like
when you have like half an hour
or an hour, you call a friend
and let's go to play some Arams and just
have fun. Oh,
yes.
My favorite thrush.
Right now,
during the week, when I have
like one hour, half an hour,
I want to disconnect. I play over Water League of
Legends. And on weekends,
I'm playing hands out of down,
also with my fiance.
We need to
play together. Yes.
I'm actually playing beer and breakfast as well.
Do you know that game?
What game?
Beer and breakfast.
Beer and breakfast?
Yes.
I'm close to the beginning, but I'm enjoying it.
It's a beard who runs like kind of small hotels for humans.
It's funny.
I love indie games as well.
And I want to start again, the last of us, now that is.
It's a remaster, right?
Yes.
Me and my fiance, I want to play again, the first one and the second.
And then, actually, a question from chat from Cyrene, favorite League of Legends champion?
I guess I will say Nami, because I love to play her.
But, for example, I love Rakan because I'm a support.
But Rakan, even you're not super, you need to love Rakan.
Some people hate him, but sorry, you shut up.
Rakan is the best.
It's so funny.
But I would say Nami because I just love playing like magicians,
sorry, and I think it's my favorite one, the one with I enjoy the most.
Nice.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Oh, my God.
my biggest guilty pleasure is to watch and read
Twilight on the whole saga
and I'm like super ashamed because
for example when I saw the movies
half of the time I'm like super embarrassed
like oh my God what the hell is this I hate this
and the other half is like I enjoy this so much
so for example
last week I took some days off
just to rest and take care of my mental health
And yes, I'm reading the books again and I watch the four movies.
So I'm really ashamed of this, but I don't care.
It's my guilty pleasure.
Hey, it's, hey, we don't, we don't shame here, but Twilight is definitely one of those fun ones, you know.
Actually, my roommate has been watching Twilight too very recently.
It's a very fun to hang out with friends and just laugh about how ridiculous is everything.
Twilight Barathon.
Yeah, it's a great plan.
Actually, a neon rain club asked, who do you main in Overwatch?
Again, support, and I love all of them.
When I was in a team, in the team, I was a Merci Lucio Anna player.
But I love, I'm in love with Saniada.
Now I'm playing Brigitte for my first time because I was never feel attracted of, you know, playing with Brigitte.
but if I only
No, I need to choose three
Sorry again with video games
Anna, Saniata and Mercy
Interesting, okay, very wide array
So it's not just like a
You have a couple different ones there
I like that
I play all of them in super
Actually I want more supers because
I want more variety
It's the role that we have less hero
Speaking of hero
Who is your real life hero?
My mother
and my father
is not just
to be nice with them
they are my real superheroes
and also my fiance that is in the chat
is he knows that
he's a superhero for me as well
but my parents are amazing
what is one thing you want to accomplish
one thing I want to
accomplish
little it could be huge
I want to skate
like back through you say I'm starting on that and I enjoy that so much but
actually what first comment to mind to me please to keep growing in my I know
at my work inside N60 I would love to even to see the Spanish I would love to see a
Spanish department and maybe running
It's kind of pretentious.
I can't remember that war, but I don't know.
I would love to develop a team working around all the Spanish region.
For the last two questions.
Would you rather your only mode of transportation be a donkey or a giraffe?
A giraffe.
Even this is slower, but it's like more awesome with that high.
That giraffe.
And the final one is cereal.
A soup.
What, what, what?
Is cereal, like bowl cereal, is it a soup?
Oh.
No.
No.
No.
Why, why no?
I don't know.
No, it's milk and, no.
It's not a soup.
It's just milk soup.
Chowder is technically milk soup.
No.
Soup is soup.
I don't know.
Soup is salad and the cereal with me got sweet.
eat. No, no, no, it's not a soup. Not at all. No. You're actually wrong. It is a soup.
No, sorry, you're wrong. I don't care. And you could first the cereals and then the meal.
The definition of soup. Definition of soup is liquid food. So any food that you can drink is considered a soup.
And, you know, cereal, you can drink it. So I think it's a smoothie.
then at that point is a smoothie a soup?
Yes. Yes, it is.
You're breaking my mind right now.
So have you blended anything?
It's a soup.
Yes.
No, it's not.
Is a chowder the same thing as a soup or is it different?
I'm looking up the actual definition right now.
So it says,
soup is a primarily liquid food
generally served warm or hot,
generally, not all the time.
That is made by combined.
ingredients of meat or vegetables with stock, milk, or water.
So by that definition, milk is part of it.
But it has to be both parts, the milk, the water, whatever, and the meat, vegetables.
Because if you need to have both parts, cereals and milk cannot.
Meat or vegetables.
Well, yeah, we could say vegetable.
cereals? Ah, shut up
Um, vegetable cereals?
From
from where they came from?
What's a cereal?
It's a cereal, right? It's not a vegetable.
It's outside vegetables? Now you break my
man. This is your fault.
I like how
the entire chat just blew
up about like what different
types is it? Is a milkshake a soup?
Is ketchup?
a smoothie, which then makes it a soup.
Is hot chocolate a soup?
Oh my God.
I'm going to think always now about soup with anything.
I feel like chowder and cereal are different, but I feel since it's labeled differently,
but maybe it is a, maybe everything's just a soup.
Maybe you are a soup.
Good soup.
And I think that is it on the rapid fire.
questions. Do we have any other closing remarks, Rosa, that you want to?
What right now that I can think about. Just to remind, I just want to use this time, to remind
every Spanish speakers to follow NCC, Spain and or NCC Latam accounts on social media.
Follow us there because we are going to, in the next months, we are working on really awesome
projects and I can wait
to talk about this but I can right now
so follow us and you will
you will see I just
want to also before
we end off on the
announcements yeah I know
Coco just made a
statement that soup is a social
construct it is what we define
as one I guess and I don't think
I would have ever
seen soup is a
social construct in those
exact words in my entire
life except on this podcast.
I don't know how to feel about this.
I don't know.
All right.
So I guess we'll end the soup podcast for this thing.
We're going to go for some announcements.
So guys,
go ahead and follow Rosa on Twitter.
I'm going to go post her link in the chat right now.
Go ahead and follow her, show her some love.
Also, she'll probably,
do you post your rollerblade content on Twitter?
More on Instagram because I don't know, I think on Twitter I'm going to annoy people.
I think you should do both. Do both.
Okay, I will do for you, for you both.
I will do for you both, post on both.
I will do.
And if you're not watching live and are just listening to this in the future, the name is Tadenae.
How do you pronounce that?
For me, Tadenae.
Tadenae.
Tadenae.
So T-A-D-N-A-E.
Yeah.
Because everyone else.
outside work and close family knows me as Nur, written with two O's, that it's a real name.
But the problem is that when I started, when internet started and you were looking in
the first social media on forums or anywhere, as Nur is a real name, it was taken.
And I didn't want to be like Nur 93-48. So I invent this Tadenae.
thing because I was writing, wow, this is amazing.
Like, I'm a fantastic noble with elves and all of that.
I was a kid.
And Tadenae, Tadenei was the name of my elf.
So it's like something that is not taken.
Okay, the name I invent, created.
And that's why I'm Tadenae everywhere.
It's because it's free.
It's for me only.
Like that.
Let's see what other announcements we got.
Oh, right now, Marvel, we have a deal with Marvel.
So Marvel Spider-Man remastered is included with a purchase of a NZXTPC with an
Nvidia, G-Force RtX-30 series card.

And soup.
We may have, actually, thorough paste could be soup.
Thermal paste could be soup.
Technically.
Yeah.
If it's hot, if it's hot, yes.
If it's warm, we can warm up some thorough paste.
It's soup.
And I think that's it for the podcast.
They would have any.
Yes, please do not ether.
Legally, please do not eat thorough paste.
It is a joke.
It is a joke.
Please do not actually consume thermal paste, thermal soup.
Please.
Even if it tastes delicious.
If it tastes delicious.
So thank you guys for joining us.
And thank you to Rosa for joining us on the podcast for our Hispanic Heritage Month.

that's all.
That was awesome.
I love that.
I've seen so many Spanish speakers here.
In case they don't really speak English, I wanted to give them the opportunity.
Oh, that's what I wanted to do a podcast in Spanish.
For favor.
Exactly.
Okay.
We're about Mike.
Mike, you know what we're saying right?
Ah.
Yo, I barely, yeah, I barely speak English.
at itself. You're really pushing it with a another leg. I barely speak English, guys.
You know what's funny? Mike? I'm actually doing something with my kids that you told me your
parents did with you is so with my daughters, me and my wife, when we want to talk about them
behind their backs when they're like there. We speak to each other in Spanish. And I remember
that. I learned that from you because I remember you told me that your parents never taught you
Korean because we wanted to talk about you.
Yep.
Yeah.
I'll, family outings, I'll just be sitting down and they just be like,
blah-da-da-da-da-ma-ma-ma-a-da-ma.
I don't know.
I can't, I can't translate it.
But don't, I am secretly been learning Korean and duolingo for the past like three
months.
So I'm going to one day, I'm going to put 10 years down the road.
They're going to be talking about me.
And then I'm just going to reply to them in fluent Korean.
I'm just going to walk away.
Say nothing.
I'm not going to say anything.
I'm not going to tell them how long I've learned it.
I'm not going to tell them how long I've known.
I'm just going to let them keep guessing for years and years
that I've been secretly learning and listening to them.
Talk behind my back.
Yeah.
The ultimate troll.
The ultimate troll.
All right, y'all.

When you rap, I twit them with thoms.
I'm still out of doing it with minimal funds.
Putting in the music, though whenever it comes.
Every time I leave the studio, I look like a bomb.
Like I've been on the run.
On the border of some...
