and welcome to episode 144 of the NCC podcast,
the official podcast of the NXT community.
This podcast is recorded live every now Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time
on the official NCC Twitch.
And is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
My name is Mike.
And with me is Andy, since Ivan is out sick with the vid.
So please give a warm welcome to Andy.
How are you doing?
I'm doing better than Ivan.
right now.
I think anyone's doing better.
Yeah, I heard him earlier in the week and he does not sound good.
But he seems to be doing well, recovering, hopefully resting as he is watching this.
But yeah, but me, I'm doing well.
Perfect.
Happy to be here.
It's always fun.
Good way to spend a Friday.
You're basically a third member of the NZC podcast.
We have you so much at this point.
It's like in sports like a super.
utility player, like the ones that, you know, aren't the stars, but show up every now and again
and, you know, fill in when needed. So, yeah, I feel, I feel like I'm the super utility
player. Yes, you are. As so, so for everyone here, two quick announcements. One, we have a lot of
new products releasing. So please, this is a time to ask questions. So please ask questions
all you want during the podcast. I'll be grabbing as much as you can. Sorry if I'll,
I'm a little like out there because I'll be reading the chat trying to add questions to our list.
And second of all, for the usual giveaway we usually do, it is a little bit different this time.
We don't have the regular swag giveaway, but please stay tuned to the end of the podcast because there will be a very, very, very special announcement for only podcast listeners.
So please stay tuned till the end.
But first, I want to give, and he's in the chat right now.
Mr. Matt Lee has an amazing video that I want to show off just real quick before we do anything.
That is Mr. Matt Lee's video.
I'll go ahead and post the link in the chat for everyone.
Please go ahead and subscribe to him.
He has done some awesome content for us.
Please subscribe to him.
That video is hilarious.
And also, the bill itself is beautiful.
So give a look, give a like, give a comment, do everything.
Subscribe, hit the bell.
Yeah, hit the bell.
There you go.
Hit that bell.
No, but I really enjoyed that video a lot.
I was, you know, conversing with him about it.
And, like, I really kind of like what he did, you know, the all black and all white.
And I think I like the all white one the most because of the vert mounted, I think it's a 4090.
With the white, the white ASUS card, it just looks so sick in our case.
So.
And those, like, cards, I think this is the perfect case to show it off.
because it's a massive card inside of massive case and it frames it really well.
And I think it's vertical mounted as well.
And it just looks super cool in that, in that H-9.
There's some talented people here.
I could barely, like, get a PC working.
And I made a couple of PCs.
So whoever has had my PCs before, I'm sorry.
Like I've had, I did it for friends and family, but like, God, I feel bad.
And then you see Mr. Matt's, like, built.
and you just go, God, I wish.
Yeah, whenever I build someone a PC
and they have a problem with it,
I take it a little too personally.
And I'm like,
you have a problem with your PC?
And then if it's with an NSXT part,
I even take it more personally.
I'm like, did your crack and fail?
Oh, I'm so sorry.
But yeah, no,
I get where you're coming from.
So I guess this is a very special podcast
this time because we are launching
technically four new products
but three series products
right now so we have the
H9, the RGB dual
fans in the C-1200
correct?
Yes.
Yeah, okay, perfect. I was like, oh god,
I did I lose? So I guess we'll start
off with what is the
H-9?
Yes, so the H-9 is our newest
case. It is
our largest case in a while
Ivan would come here with the historical facts,
but it is a dual chamber chassis,
which means there's basically two compartments,
one for all the components you show, essentially,
so your motherboard, CPU cooler,
graphics card, etc.
Then the other chamber is where you put, you know,
all the power supply and cables.
It's basically it's very spacious case,
and it's also designed to be a showpiece
PC we can say
because there's so much glass in this chassis
it's basically the perfect case to show
if you want to show off all your cool looking components
and RGB
and also because
components are getting larger
these days like with the 4090
it provides you with all the cooling
capacity that you could ask for.
The whole back panel
is a mesh panel.
If you get the flow version, the top is a mesh panel.
It can fit up to
10 fans.
10 120 millimeter fans,
you can add 140s in there.
But only could do 10 120 millimeter fans
so it can provide all the airflow that you can ask for.
I personally have one in my temps are really good.
really good.
So we have two different types of H-9s, correct?
We have the elite and the flow.
Correct.
What's the difference?
What's the main difference between these two?
The biggest difference is two things,
there's two things that are the biggest difference, other than price.
You get with the elite a top glass panel,
and the thing that's kind of cool about the top glass panel,
and I think it's shown in Mr. Matt Lee's video is it's meant so you can see your
RGB fans on top, but also probably the most important feature is it comes included with their new
RGB duo fans, which means they're illuminated on both sides because historically with our F series
and air fans, we had a ring around them and you only could see it in one area, or on one side,
rather. But with the dual fans, duo fans, not dual, duo, they're illuminated on both sides
because in this case, you have to put the fans in certain intake positions and you see the
backside of it. So we want you to have that ring. So basically you're covered no matter what
orientation or position that you put these fans in. Which is honestly, I actually completely forgot
that happens all the time for me
whenever I play in fans
I always play it the wrong way
because I'm like,
oh, I want the RGVita show
but then I go wait,
that's not the correct way
especially for the front
because the front is the intake side
so usually you won't ever be able to see
that front side if you're trying to do like an intake
or an exhaust.
But then luckily we decided to go for it.
We'll go a little bit more into RGB Dules after
but I guess we can kind of talk a little bit more about
what does the flow
and delete kind of
come with. Are there any other parts other than just the fans?
Can you repeat that? Sorry, it cut out.
Oh, sorry. What else does the H9 flow and elite come with other than just the fans?
That's it. Is the fans and obviously the case?
It's not like the H1 where it comes with like a power supplier, a liquid cooler.
But yeah, it's just the case and the fans.
RGB or not.
It comes with four fans, though,
a rear exhaust fan.
So out of the box,
you would have good thermal performance.
It's just if you want to maximize it,
you know, you've got to put three on top
and three on bottom.
Or how I do it,
two 140s on top,
two 140s on bottom.
Because in mine,
I have Noctua fans
and I didn't want to rebuy all of them.
So I just did some
fancy maneuvering.
Battlewark actually comes with a question that I was actually going to ask is can you
vote vertical mount and does it come with the vertical mount?
It does not come with the vertical mount.
That is separate.
That I believe costs $89 and it works through, it works with the H5 and its corresponding series,
the H7 and the corresponding series and the H9.
It looks like it's floating in the H9
Which
Which is it's kind of cool
Here we go
Yeah here
Let me show the
This is what it'll be like right here
This vertical mountain kit right here
This right here is how you do it
And it's basically complete suspended in the air
Which is really nice
And yes it is Gen 4.0
If I'm correct
Yeah
Yes
PCI 4.0
Exactly
I don't think there's Gen 5 graphics cards yet
even though certain motherboards have that capability
Free thinker, I will add that question
into our community questions down the road.
So why should you choose between the H9
Flow versus Italy?
Like what would you choose,
why would you choose one over the other?
It depends if you like RGB or not.
If you want RGB, the H9 elite is for you.
It does some of the work already
for you with having the duo fans included.
However, if
you just want more performance oriented
or more performance, go with the flow
because that will provide
with you more cooling capacity. If you have like a 4090
or one of the AMD CPUs
or a 13900K
from Intel.
There's so many numbers.
numbers and acronyms.
It's hard to keep track.
I also need to show off that there are two colors.
I forgot to show that off.
Black and white. There's pure black and pure white.
So it's basically like, you know how some cases will have white?
If you choose a white, it will still have some black.
This is basically all white and all black, which is amazing.
Because I always wanted, if I wanted a case, I wanted to make sure everything is that color, not other colors.
So this is probably one of my favorite.
favorite parts of it is that shows off every color there.
So good.
Yeah, it's awesome.
Like, because like you said, because in the past we've done white cases, but they had black accents.
But, yeah, I like when you see, like with Mr. Matt Lee's video, when it's all black, it looks very striking.
And it's all white.
It looks very striking.
It's a very cool aesthetic.
Well, let me evict my puppy.
Okay, that's good.
But yes, everyone, if you do the
Exclamation point H9 in the chat,
you should get a link that goes directly to it,
or you can just go to nzixi.com,
and then just go to the H9 from there.
It is awesome.
Like, honestly, I have the H5 flow,
and I was not like, this was the best one,
then they come with H7,
and then now the H9, I'm like,
dang, I want the H9 so badly.
The H9 is, it's pretty awesome.
It's really cool.
I obviously didn't hear what I said,
but as someone who's built in it,
it, the H9 flow.
I really enjoyed it.
It was a very pleasant experience,
and I think it's one of our best cases.
So what's the, so I actually just talked about this,
the H5, to H7, and H9.
So what's the difference between H5, X7, and a nine?
Without going into price,
it's basically sizing, essentially,
in overall cooling capacity.
If you want a more compact case,
the H5 is for you, and it's more affordable.
If you're doing a more, like, mid-level, like, $1,500 build,
it's probably the case for you.
It does have a lot of cooling capacity in it,
but if you want to do a more higher-end builds,
an H-7 or an H-9 is for you because they're larger
because graphics cards these days are, you know,
like, I think I saw a size comparison in the 490.
he's almost as big as an Xbox.
Xbox series
But you can, if you want more powerful
components and you need more cooling capacity,
the H7 and the H-9er
for you, if you want to be more
inconspicuous and more traditional,
I would go with an H-7.
But if you want to create like an Instagram setup
or just have your PC,
have a light show,
VH9, I think, is probably the case for you.
And obviously, there's spectrums within those cases too,
because, like, for me, I like to show off my components,
but I want to DRGB my life because also I build in a lot of cases.
I'm in a unique position because I, you know, work for this company.
But it's just when you transfer and upgrade your PC a lot,
RGB is
annoying to just contend
with all the extra wiring.
So I just decided
to DRGB my life and also
like the flashing
when I'm going to bed.
I wanted to avoid that.
But obviously it's awesome
to see RGB and people love it.
And it's just really cool to see it all
showcased in that case.
And I guess we'll kind of talk a little
bit about the fan since it comes
with the fans,
what is the RGB duo
from like just a broad
perspective?
It's just a double-sided fan.
Double-side, a fan
with double-sided RGP.
Because like we alluded to earlier,
our fans historically
only had one side with RGB.
So, and because
this case needs,
because how our fans worked in the past,
we had to change them in order
to get that full RGB effect.
I'm showing it off, which is so cool.
I actually never even thought about this.
I was just like, you know, you're just going to have to deal with, you know, one side,
only being, you know, colorful one side and not, but then you show that off and you go,
no, you can have both of them.
And that's actually really awesome that we could do something like that.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was a necessary step for us to make.
Because the way we do RGB, because people, other companies have RGB within the blades,
but we like to have the RGB around.
the ring of the fan.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was the main reason.
But obviously if you...
Look over.
No, what I was going to say, like,
if you love having the fans illuminated,
obviously you could buy those fans and put them in these cases as well.
That's the beauty of PC building.
It's you're the artist and you can,
you know, design your PC to whatever fits your setup.
your personality like me.
I have Noctua fans, the brown ones,
because I want to maximize my cooling performance,
but, you know, people love having a light show on their PC
and you can put whatever fan fits,
and it would look great in the H9 no matter what.
So I don't know if you know exactly,
but was the main reason why you made the dual-sided
RGB fans, like was it for the H-9,
or was it because there was a large, like, people asking for it?
I think I could be wrong, but my understanding it was for the H9.
Oh, I did not realize that.
I didn't realize that we decided to do that just for it.
I mean, it makes sense, though, right?
RGB gives more performance.
You are right, Manno.
Makes sense.
Oh, yeah, RGB.
Get five extra frames in every game per fan.
Oh, also, for the, since you have two rings,
how much can you customize those rings?
Is it only each color, or can you do like each size?
like a different color.
That I don't know off the top of my head.
But in CAM you can customize the color.
I don't know.
It would be cool, but I don't want to say an answer
that you could customize both sides.
But we can figure that out and then get back to them.
Yeah, I think you can, but I'll, yeah,
I'll also just double, I just want to triple
check to make sure that I'm a
yes you can customize the individualities but not
the individual sides there we go perfect thank you master I was like I think you
can do like the actual customization wow
who hired it is a front glass there's a lot of products
it's hard to keep track yeah there's so we have so many
that we're releasing I mean before we had like three main cases
and now we have like four or five main cases
and then now we're just like,
and then we're just so much variations
between them and everything is just crazy.
I know.
Oh, but we manage.
For an RGB duos,
what sizes are available and then
what packs are available?
You can give them in 140 or 280,
or sorry, 120 and 140.
And you could buy them individually
or in a pack that comes with a controller
because you need a controller or an N7 motherboard in order to use them.
In order to use our RGB.
You can use them as a fan, but that would be pointless
because the whole point of it is to use the RGB.
So you need an RGB fan controller,
and some are included in cases such as the H7 and the H5 elites,
in the elite versions.
Then you have to buy our RGB fan controller if you don't have one.
So if you had a flow and you just want to,
wanted to buy a controller in a bunch of fans individually, you could do that.
And then we have double and double packs for the 140s and triple packs for the 120s.
I also, there was a question.
I don't know if you know, but I assume the reason why we stopped making the 200 millimeter fans
is because there's almost no market available for a 200 millimeter fan, correct?
None of our cases support it either.
I can't think of a case, current case, that supports that size.
And we're primarily a case company.
And we make, obviously, we make fans for our cases.
So it wouldn't make sense for us to make a 200 millimeter fan.
Yeah.
A lot of people ask for about 200 millimeter fans, but I'm like, I don't think there's that much of a market for it anymore.
since a lot of cases right now are like 280 360 at most or but um the sizes though are 120 and
140 because yeah but they 280 adds up to 2 140s yeah exactly so it just makes more sense
no piece your car just keep yeah 200 millimeter fan would be amazing just for like a natural fan
just like you have a little like handheld 200 millimeter fan that's pretty cool it push a lot of air
let's see uh what else oh oh
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I guess for the third product that we're also releasing, which is crazy,
is the C-1200 or C-1,200 power supply.
So what exactly is it?
It's our newest power supply.
It's a 80 plus gold certified power supply,
and it uses the new ATX 3.0 standard,
because a lot of graphics cards these days, like with the 40 series,
have just new
plugins that
provide it power
and it needs a lot of power.
I think a single
ATX 3.0 PCIE plug
goes up to 600 watts
or something like that.
It's just to
accommodate that standard.
And I see here
it says that there's ATXV3.0.
Do you have a quick explanation
on to what 3.0 is?
It's just a power supply
standard. I believe it's created by Intel.
Yeah.
So yeah, that's the, that's the biggest thing is 600 watts of power from this power supply,
which, especially with all these new graphics cars coming out from AMD and
Vividia, you're going to need a lot of power into it.
And please also try not to cheap out on your power supply when you build PCs.
Please.
Yeah.
I've seen way too many, way.
way too many PCs
to get destroyed because someone decides
to cheap out on the power supply.
And also efficiency.
It's one of those components
where, yes, you can cheap out now,
but it can lower your power bill
in the future.
And also just better to use
less electricity than more electricity
to do the same thing.
Exactly.
I guess the final question
that we have for this specific
one, then we'll get into community questions, is what regions are these products sold in?
It's available now in the U.S.
I believe Europe is available in some retailers, and it's going to be available soon within our own retail channels on nzac.com.
And then I'm not too sure about the Asia-Pacific region, but I assume very shortly, if not.
Oh, oh there, perfect.
Sorry, you're breaking up a little bit.
Yeah.
Uh, yeah.
The connection's a little inconsistent, but we'll soldier on.
We'll soldier on.
It's all good.
Maybe we should make Wi-Fi router soon.
That would be cool.
That actually would be pretty cool.
And I have like a little Wi-Fi adapter for NSXE.
That's pretty thing.
All white, too.
All white.
Um, I was to say, I heard there's a new Wi-Fi standard Wi-Fi 7 that was announced
yesterday, which is cool.
Oh, my God.
There's a new one.
I was already getting used to six.
I think it's 6E even.
There's like within six,
there's a sub-division or half iteration.
Like USB standards too,
like I think on one of Linus's channels,
they talked about like,
because they're like USB 4.0 Gen 2.
It's like, I think USB 4.0 is they're talking about
like how the naming convention is just so,
out of control.
Go, you know, learn something and go find that video.
All right.
I guess we'll go into, since that's the question that we had,
we guess we'll go into community questions.
If you guys have any questions, please leave it to the chat.
I've been kind of grabbing a bunch of questions and putting into the chat,
so you guys may have already, I may have already grabbed it.
But I guess we'll go into the first one from JX, JX height.
What about selling the case without the fans to lower the price?
point will that occur anytime soon i think we actually have a perfect answer for that can you say the
question again so make sure i understand it have we ever thought about selling a case without the fans
to lower the price point i don't believe i mean we in it's been discussed but um like i i don't have
any information on that whether we are have or have not made that decision it's going to be kind
of an interesting one. It just depends, but I think as of now, probably not, but I think down the road,
maybe we'll decide if there's a lot of community outreach for it. So if you have any opinions,
please tag us on socials and then tag us and be like, hey, I have an idea or something like that.
We always look at mentions and DMs, so please, if you have any inquiries, send them our way.
Yeah, we do genuinely, because I've been in those meetings, listen to community feedback. And it does inform
our opinion on going forward.
Oh, okay, so we have two questions about the fans and the cable management of it.
So, like Belgium, asked, you should make fans without cables per fan.
And then WPNX33 also asked, why are we moving away from Daisy Chained fans as the rest of the world is moving into, or sorry,
Why are we moving away for Dacey Chaining when a lot of people are Dacey Chaining?
That's a good question.
I believe it's, I don't, again, I don't know the full answer to that.
I believe it's a cost to make the fans more affordable.
It's one of those things where it's hard to make products in adult, like we have to hit certain price points.
And it's just one of those things where in the calculus, in order,
to make them more affordable,
you have to
you know,
make tough decisions in order to hit
a certain price point.
And yeah, I think
that was probably the reason
why. If I had a guess.
There's a lot of
stuff that goes into
basically
pricing and getting things
done with cost.
Maybe down the road,
as we make more of these, the cost
of it will go down, but since these are new products, probably not as of now, but we should be
pretty good.
Okay.
Oh, and Free 3379 asked, what about the air filters?
The air filter?
Oh, you mean the dust filtration?
Yes.
Does any, just, there is dust filtration on the back panel, because the back panel is basically
a giant mesh panel.
And I believe there's one on top.
Yep, there's one on top and one on bottom.
Okay, perfect.
Oh, Mr. Matley, actually wanted to give some clarification.
I just want to say that Gear Seekers release a video with a rather voice opinion about cable management.
I didn't have any such issues.
My cable management was very clean, tidy, and we'll care for.
As is anything, take your time and do it right.
I agree is that almost anything, it's going to be to the user.
I mean, for me, if you see the back of my cases, you don't want to see that.
I just kind of shove everything in the back.
And if you do care about the cable mention, please just take some more time.
on to it. It should still work.
And if you have any issues, like, if you physically are having issues with it, send us a DM
or send a customer service ticket and then let us know.
Chick-Dan, is NCC looking to make any cases without glass panel?
Not to my knowledge. No.
I think we, one of our focal points is we like balancing design with function and people
you know, like seeing their components.
But if obviously, you know,
there's a new type of design
that calls for no glass panel,
or again, if the market dictates
that glass panels are not in vogue anymore,
that's something, you know, we'll consider.
Gruntled, will the H-9 be available in pre-built
at some point?
I do not know
I think
we have to follow up on that
sorry some of these questions we want to answer
but the thing is we kind of have to give a little bit more of a
like a PR answer because we don't want to just promise something
and end up not working
so we may just have to kind of give like a little bit of a
we'll think about it or we'll check
back in down the road because there's some things we just have to kind of keep quiet for a little bit.
Yeah.
And don't want to give anyone false hope.
Or wrong information.
Let's see.
When do you suppose you'll have PCI Gen 5 supporting riser cable to buy separately?
I think we can answer this one.
This one will be, it depends on whenever the market starts getting into Gen 5 specifically.
We're going to have to do a little bit more research and product research into that because as of that.
I don't think any graphics cards are Gen 5 at the moment.
In a hypothetical when Nvidia's next gen, I assume, would be,
and AMD's next gen.
But it's, I don't, I mean, I'm not aware of any Gen 5 riser cables that are in the market
because there's just no use for them at the moment.
But again, when that does arise, we would modify that in order to,
support it.
Everest Yeti.
Does the front glass panel of the H9 elite come off?
I believe both they do come off, yes.
Yes.
Actually, I think they're on the actual product page.
Let me see.
Yes, here it goes.
Let me see if I can show it out.
And it would be on both, not just the elite.
Yes.
But when building in it, I did not need to take it off at all.
Um
But obviously if you want to for whatever reason you can
WPNX333
Another question
Will NSIC ever consider getting into custom
Water Cooling components
Um
It's one of those things
We just have to see
If we can do it
The way we would want to do it
And if it makes sense for us
We would consider it
But we don't have any announcements right now
I would absolutely love that
though that would be so cool we can have like a custom water cooling like you know you can change like
the compartment change the tubes change the fluid color that would be such a cool thing but it would also
be cool if we made like a crack in z like pump for custom water loops oh that would be cool just for the
just for the CPU oh that would be cool so that people can customize it to anything so they don't
have to use like the after crack and they can just have the z
like the LCD display basically
and then build their own loop
Ooh, that would be really cool
Or like a graphics bat plate with some
L like have you seen that Final Mouse keyboard
No I have not
Final Mouse has a keyboard
Where it's essentially a crack in Z
And the key caps are
Translucent
So what would be cool
Is if we had a backplate for water cooling
With something similar
where we can have it, like say if we vertical mount it.
And it would be like that keyboard on a GPU backplate.
Oh, that's pretty cool.
Yeah, so if we could do this for something for like a Cracken for like the CPU,
that would be insane.
Or the GPU rather.
So you can have a Cracken Z for, you know, the CPU block.
Then for the GPU block, a custom screen.
Ooh, that would be cool.
Actually, I kind of hyping myself up about that.
That's actually, I kind of, now I kind of want one right now.
That's actually really nice.
Yeah.
That would be cool.
There's so many things that we could do for, like, any, like, there's so many things that we can do just because we have some of the right places.
I mean, yeah, like, light Belgium actually says we can make, like, a GPU screen that we can put on.
I know, what's the, oh, I forgot the name of it.
What are those screens that people put in the back of their cases?
I can't remember.
I mean, is it similar to like a Cracken function?
Yeah, it's basically just like a flat screen.
They put in the back of their cases.
I can't remember the exact name of it.
But if we could do that just for like almost all around, that would be really cool.
There is actually a case made by Eye By Power, which is pretty cool.
The Snowblind.
And it kind of essentially does.
Oh, like a raspberry pie.
monitoring. I've seen
those. Raspberry pies are cool.
But there's this one case that
I Buy Power makes called the Snowblind
and it has like a LCD
or like image
displaying capabilities on the
on the glass. When I was at BlizzCon
like God knows when
they had a bunch there and it like
they had like May doing some
ice stuff on
the case which was it was pretty
cool.
But I just want that localized on a GPU block.
Then call it a day.
Yeah, actually, S-O-9, X-U-X-A-G-E.
I do not know how I'm pronouncing it.
Sorry about that.
And Light Belgium actually said, what if we put like an OLED panel or
they can make an LED tempered glass panel?
That would also be a very interesting thing.
I just don't know if that would be feasible just because I wonder how much power it would eat.
That's what the snowblind is.
Oh.
Essentially.
Yeah.
I mean, that would be cool.
That would be very cool, especially on a case like this where it's all glass, at least or half glass on the places that you want glass.
I'm really excited to see the H9 and how many people like customize it.
Because we already see a lot of people with like really crazy cases and stuff.
like that. But since this is basically a full, like, you can see almost every side of it,
especially for an elite, I'm very curious to see what people will do with it. Because, you know,
you can just do like a standard PC, but I'm also curious for the people that are...
The modders. Yeah, like they mod it up. They do something crazy with one part of it. You know,
they change it up. That was... What was cool about when the Cracken Z first came out, because,
you know, with that screen was one of the first...
mass market products that could do that.
And it was cool seeing it, like, grow in all what, like, people have done with it.
And then obviously, at least for me, the peak was with Harry Cavill used it in his build.
You know, everyone was freaking out when he built his PC during the lockdowns.
But, you know, it's also cool just seeing who uses our products and how they use them.
And you're like, oh, that person uses a cracking.
That's awesome.
Oh, Matt has a...
Mr. Matley.
Also for those curious, as you see, did remove a darker tinted glass found out of the black version to H5 and H7.
Meaning, if you opt out for the black H9, the glass is only very lightly tinted.
Could be excellent news for some, especially those looking for minimal RGB or no RGB.
Yeah, exactly.
That was a good point.
and thank you for bringing that up.
Mr. Matt Lee,
we lowered the tint on our case
because we realized it was too dark on previous models.
So we toned it down a bit.
So, well, the reason why it was heavily tinted
was because on the H510 elite,
it was to hide wires
to make it, you know, not look as ugly.
Just seeing all these,
like wires flying around.
I believe both of the models,
the both white and black ones were tinted
on the H510 Elite,
but we realized
it was a bit too much.
I personally really love
because I used to have an H510 elite.
I loved the tinted
RGB look
because it's like
one of those things, it's like when you see like a dark
box and all of a sudden it's illuminated,
it just, I just like that effect.
And it kind of makes it a less intense light.
But, I mean, I do think it was a good move on us to detint it a little.
Yeah.
I think for like cases, like for me, like when I built in my H510,
since I had darker glass panel as well, when I had it,
I did not have parts that looked good.
honest like try to be honest like it did not look good so when he had a darker tint it helped a lot to
kind of hide all that stuff uh like the really you know mismatching colors of like the motherboard and
the graphics card and stuff like that and when you just have like a crack in it looks really good
but i think when you have like an h9 you are probably going for like a premium build where you're
going to be making it look as good as possible so you probably don't want to hide away some of those
products we kind of want to keep and show those off yeah i think in a lot of the literature
we wrote. It's like a showpiece computer. It's like you want, you're not putting this under your desk,
even though you shouldn't. But this is a computer that you want to show off and you want to look good.
I do want to point out that Mr. Matt Lee also wrote, no RGB equals swag. Come at me. And I, I agree with him.
I take offense to that. I, like I said, I've purposely bought Noctua fans to do.
G.RGB my life.
Why did you pull away from not
RGB? Like did you not like? Because I look. It's
it's not because I didn't like the look. It's because I, again, I'm in a
unique position where I have to try out all our cases and do a ton of
case transfers. And it's just an added step that I, like if you're not
moving your PC case all the time, yeah, by all means, because you just have to
you know, you just set it once and let it enjoy the lighting effects.
But I've had like six cases while working here.
So it just was one less step.
That's why like air cooling is a lot easier to build and maintain than water cooling when you live the upgrade or life.
Because there's just less cables you have to manage.
I will agree.
But I prefer water cooling.
But I like my air cooling.
No, yeah.
I like water cooling.
But when I installed an air cooler, it was a lot easier.
And it's like, oh, I'm done.
I don't have to like do three more cable runs.
But again, I prefer water cooling because I think it looks better.
That's actually a question that I was going to ask soon was,
Do you prefer, like, this is going to be a thing I was going to post on social about, like, water versus air cooling.
And, you know, both of them are pretty much the same in general.
At least, you know, I think air cooling is slightly better in some aspects of it, but it also depends on the case.
It depends on, it depends on what your needs are and your budget.
Like, air cooling is easier to set up.
It basically lasts as long as the fan.
you know, it's less failure points,
but water cooling, I believe, gives better performance.
And you don't have like a radiator sticking out.
You can do things like the Krakken Z.
Yeah.
In some instances, you have to water cool.
Like in the H1, you can't do an air cooler in that.
I'm pitting Weapon X's.
comment of
RGB equals more
FPS and swag
it's common knowledge
I'm pinning that
you have the pin
of facts
correct
I
I like
I wish I
I love the graphics card
that I have
but I like
I wish I could just
pull the RGB away from it
I get it
but also it's very
like
you can barely notice it
but still
it's just like
I just want
I want to look
inside my PC, but I don't want
the bling anymore.
Let me show you.
I guess we'll finish this off as the last one since I can answer this
real quickly. Mike Kim, what's your PC components?
I actually got, luckily,
my work sent me an amazing PC
to work on. So thank you, by the way, for
everyone that's helped me. Loran, Ivan,
probably all this stuff. I have an I-9-3-900K.
I have an Nvidia 4090,
motherboard.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, I got a whole brand new setup
because when I was doing the Marvel
Spider-Man stream, for those
some of you are here, I barely could run at
like 720P with everything going
on. And that was in a way
to showcase a new game when I'm trying
to, you know, show off this.
So I had to be like, hey, I need
something else and everyone pulled
some strings and got me this amazing PC.
I actually pulled my specs real quick. Yeah, I got like 64
giga plus RAM of a N7s,
Z-60-40-90, $1,300K, $1,000 power supply.
Like, I, it's amazing, and I'm so grateful for them.
Oh, H5 Flow, obviously, is a new flow that came out.
When are we going to get a full setup tour?
Oh, man, that's the thing, though.
I have, I consider myself I have a pretty decent setup,
but my desk is incredibly messy, and it's like one of those things are, was it?
Same here.
Yeah.
I I I you would y'all be horrified if you'd looked at my desk right now like and I have yeah I just know yeah I
tour never I want to have those really cool aesthetic videos like you ever see those like on
Instagram where just like you know someone's like sitting down putting a cup of coffee they have like a
nice backlit LEDs and everything like that but oh my gosh it's almost like ASMR art our A.m R our A.
where they just like,
like you say, pour the coffee.
There's some like
lofi chill beat
in the background.
And they have like
this really fancy keyboard
and they're just typing
like pro and you know
it's like it's very cloudlike.
A lot of like
a lot of aesthetics I see
with these types of videos are like
they have like a bunch of cloudy.
I don't know it's kind of a weird
descriptor but like
like cloud
based
setups.
I don't know.
They're all over TikTok.
Yeah, it's all, because like, the thing that was like, I definitely would love to have
that aesthetic, but for me, I'm like a functional person.
So as long as it works, sometimes I just need to put this in this place and I remember
where it is.
Like, my desk is a cluttered mess.
I'm going to need to do cleaning sometime soon, but that, that will be down to the road.
Yeah, my desk, I have.
Magic cards all over, games all over.
Obviously, my computer, my PS5.
It's just a mess.
All my headsets that I just accrued through the years.
Cats on top of, like Belgium, cats on top of the case provide water cooling,
as well as, which at least a higher FPS as well.
There is, one of our partners, Headshot Chick, check, has an,
hilarious video of
Loki, her cat,
just completely falling all the time.
So let me see if I can pull up
the video
because everyone should watch this video as well.
Here it is. Stream cat fails.
Everyone go watch this video
over quick whenever you have a chance because
cats on top of PCs are my favorite things, but also
the most terrifying thing in the world.
I feel that.
well it's also like a warmth i assume they just like it's the fan feels nice and it gets to sit and tie up you know
it's literally a perfect cat tree yeah we should make a cat tree that like filters hot air from a
pc puts it onto like a cat tree you know i think actually linus did a similar video but he used
his pc to heat his pool oh my god because he has like a cert like an intense server room
and like he basically is siphoning off the heat from his surfer room to to warm his pool which is a brilliant use of um you know energy like because you know you're not double dipping so to speak and i think he's using solar too so like oh my god she is oh my god here i think there's an nzxte ad in that video actually so yeah so
all this from solar to the pump to the pool
the radio to servers all going to the pool
oh my god yeah
I think he's probably the only one in the universe
who does this
but that's like the most
the most lightness thing you could
you could do
like with your computer
I've seen
some people what they do is they have like a vent
that goes from the top of their piece here
of exhaust fans and it brings to like a like a little blanket like a snuggy i've seen that before that's
hilarious and i'm like that's so funny it's always funny because like my room gets a lot of heat
because i have a you know a giant computer and the sun in the morning so right now um just
beats down on my room but like i'm used to the heat in my room and especially during the winter it's
It's nice.
But when my, like, anyone in my family comes into my room is just like, why is it so hot in here?
And I'm like, is it?
Like, it seems normal to me.
But that's one reason why I work on my laptop versus my giant computer.
Because it's not, it doesn't heat up my room as much.
I think we'll go ahead and call there.
Do you have any announcements?
Any shoutouts before I get to the announcements?
Andy?
No, I think I'm good.
Just get better, Ivan.
You know, just rest, ignore us for the whole weekend.
Yes, please.
And, you know, enjoy Martin Luther King Day,
which is going to be here in the U.S. on Monday.
We have a very special announcement on Monday as well.
I can kind of say it now is that we are having,
we at NXT are making Martin Luther King Day a paid holiday
for employees to kind of reflect on, you know, the actual atrocities of what happened during the
civil rights movement, but also to learn and be better ourselves. So that's an awesome announcement
that we're going to be doing on Monday. So we will not be in the office on Monday, but please,
if you have any questions or anything, well, me and Ivan are always on social, so you have any
questions or anything like that. Just keep DMing us. I guess we'll go into the announcements real
quick. And then for those that are still here, please stay tuned in a little bit after I get
down those balances. I have a very special thing for everyone for being a podcast listener.
So first, like we said, we have the H9, the flow delete, the RGB duo fans, and the C-1200 on
our website at nccc.com. Basically, for the commands in the chat, you can see the exclamation
points in the title, but go to ncc.com and you should be all good and check out those products.
As you saw, we just released a bunch of new cases and stuff, like new cases, coolers.
We have air coolers now, monitors, keyboard, mice, everything.
Go ahead, check out at nzix.com.
We're releasing more stuff every time we will.
And we listen to the community.
Anytime that you guys have a thing of like, hey, I want this, I want that.
Send us a DM or a mention.
We always take note of it.
and for us to send it over to our product team.
So please let us know if you guys want something.
Oh, we also have some amazing handcrafted limited edition Rainbow Six key caps.
There's one of a drone and one of a nitro cell as a big avid R6 fan that's been there since the day that was launched.
Please check it out at nzac.com or estimation point R6 in the chat.
They are super cool.
They're all handcrafted.
Like every single one is by hand.
Super awesome.
And they're limited run.
They're limited run too.
Exactly.
Limited run.
So check it out.
Take a look at them.
There's different colors and different types of it.
So just take a look into them.
All handcrafted limited edition.
Yeah.
They're pretty sick.
Yeah.
As someone that's been an R6 fans since before they released.
And I think when Hibona and Echo came out,
that was like the first DLC character that I remember.
Oh, it was Frost and Buck?
I can't remember which one was the first one.
I have been in the game very minimally.
There was like a hot second where I was playing it a lot,
but I haven't picked it up in a couple of years.
But I love the game.
Yes, Operation Black Ice, which was the buck and frost era.
I was there when the first thing came out,
and now there's like so many operators out,
and I'm like, I can't even keep up at this point.
So I've been there since the era,
and I will have to say these are awesome.
Like these are so good.
I saw them in pictures too and stuff like that.
And like if someone showed me a video of it, super cool.
I saw the packaging while at work the other day in our warehouse.
I mean, obviously they're tiny, and I didn't get to open them
because obviously they're not for me.
But yeah, they're pretty sick.
NCC laptop bags and laptops.
I will send out over to product team.
I've always wanted an NCC laptop because, like, right now I just have, like, a Mac that's just old.
And I, you know, whenever I need to do work, I have to be on this desk because, like, my Mac cannot do that.
I would love an NCC laptop so badly.
That would be dope.
Okay.
So, this is what a lot of people have been waiting for.

So let me just make sure that it is good.
Yep, okay, cool.
The code for the secret entry,
as a thank you for the podcast listeners,
is Aquarium.
The code for the secret entries is Aquarium,
because this thing basically looks like
a crazy fish aquarium, and it's amazing.
So the code is,
Aquarium, A-Q-U-A-R-I-U-M.
That is for a thousand extra entries.
