Everyone, welcome to episode 149 of the NCC podcast, the official podcast of the NCC community.
This podcast recorded live every Friday at 10 a and Pacific Standard Time on the official NCC Twitch is available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
My name is Mike.
And with me, as always, is Ivan.
How are you doing, Ivan?
Doing good, Mike.
Happy Friday.
Happy Mario Day.
I have to admit, I'm a little shocked at your new hairstyle here.
I have not seen me rock.
this. Thank you. Yeah. I'm trying to try something new for this time. Usually I have my hair
coat over, but I was like, you know what? I'm going to try to do hairstyle now. I got to be
moving to you to apartments and then I'm going to just try a bunch of new stuff. Yeah,
maybe I should start combing my hair like that too so we can match. It's to be perfectly
on match. I like it. Yeah. But yeah, anyways, thanks everyone who's tuned in live right now on
Twitch and thank you to everyone who's tuning in after the fact on your favorite podcast catchers.
Today is a very exciting podcast for a couple of reasons. The first is obviously we're doing a
giveaway. So if you're tuned in live, type exclamation giveaway into the chat and you'll get a
link for our giveaway there. We're giving away hoodie, t-shirt, lanyard, and sticker pack.
and the other thing we're doing today is we are talking about our brand new recently announced player PCs.
We have all new pre-built PCs.
We revamped our entire pre-build lineup.
We've been getting a lot of feedback and questions on social, so we figured, you know, let's do a podcast.
We'll go over all the features, all the specs, let everyone know what's going on.
And then if you're tuning in live and you have questions.
you know just drop it in the chat and Mike and I will get to them towards the end of the podcast and
Speaking of the end of the podcast if you are tuned in live if you wait till the very end of the podcast
You will get a secret word which will grant you a bunch of bonus entries into the giveaway
So you will get increased your chances at winning and I already see the first question hearing the chat from K Rees asking if the giveaway
way is worldwide or US only. And the answer is, uh, it's only, it only works if you live in the
same city as me because I'm too lazy to go to the post office. No, I'm kidding. It's global. So
yeah, it's global. So no matter where you live, we'll make sure that you get your prize. So
go ahead and answer. So anyway, with that, Mike, I guess we should just, uh, jump right into it.
Uh, tell me, Mike, tell me all about the player PCs. What are these things? Yeah. So everyone,
just to let you know, we basically revamped our whole pre-built PC kind of the entirety of it.
So we now have three different types of PCs with two, with a like a subset of it.
But we have the player one, player two, and player three PCs.
These PCs are made for the players that will actually use these machines.
Instead of having, you know, like seven different types of, you know, PCs and be like, I don't know which ones for
which if you fit within one of these categories that's the PC that you will most likely go for
um you know player one probably is good actually we can go a little bit more into each of them um but first
uh to kind of go over like each one of these you know there are uh there's player one player two
player three there's also a prime version along with it we'll go along with the prime we'll go a little
more indefin to the prime version which tends to have a little more upgraded parts but that this basically
replaced our old starter streaming and creator PCs yeah and like you said the whole goal with
simplifying our pre-build lineup was to make it simpler for people to understand you know and even
though we did get rid of the the name starter streaming and creator uh player one two and three
are essentially those. So like player one is a good entry level PC if you want to game at any
game at 1080P. Player two is a little beefier if you want a game in 1440p and also do a little bit of
streaming on the side, you know. And player three, that's the big boy. You know, that's not just
for playing video games, but you can play video games in 4K. You can stream. You can edit videos. It has a
bunch of storage and RAM so you can multitask like a boss on that one.
So let's just go down the list, Mike. Let's just start with Player 1. I have the specs here
right next to me if you want to just show the website. I'll briefly go over everything. So
first and foremost, Player 1 is housed inside our NZXT H5 flow case. So there's a lot of
of great airflow in there. Player 1 is actually like an airflow optimized case to begin with
because it does have an air cooler over a liquid cooler. So Player 1 has an Intel I5-400F
6-core 2.5 gigahertz CPU with a Nvidia-Gforce RTX 3050 GPU has 16 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM and a 500
500 gigabyte m.2 SSD. The motherboard is our NZXT N5, Z690. The cooler, like I mentioned, it's an air cooler.
It's the deep-cool GamaX cooler, and it also has a 650 watt power supply. I know I threw out a bunch of numbers there, but let those settle for a minute while I read what the Player 1 Prime PC is. So the Player 1
Prime PC it actually kicks it up a notch so that CPU is a Intel I5
12600k it's 10 cores at 3.7 gigahertz and that GPU is upgraded to a
NVIDIA G4Rt 3060 TI still has 16 gigabytes of the DDR for RAM but the
storage is doubled so it has a one terabyte m.2 SSD
also has the N5 Z690 motherboard,
also has the deep cool Gamax cooler,
also has the 650 watt power supply.
And like I mentioned earlier,
like these PCs, the Player 1 PCs,
they're entry-level start PC
that'll let you play any game at 1080P.
I do have some FPS numbers,
if you guys are interested.
I'll just do some popular games here.
So, like, let's say you're playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
On the Player 1, you can expect to get at least 83 FPS.
On the Player 1 Prime, you can expect to get at least 116 FPS.
And this is at max settings, by the way.
For Fortnite, you can expect 79 FPS on the Player 1 and 122 FPS.
on the Player 1 Prime.
League of Legends,
you can expect 302 FPS
on Player 1
and 410 on the Player 1 Prime.
I just felt,
I feel like I just read a bunch of numbers.
Yeah.
So anything you want to add on to that, Mike?
Yeah, actually, I was going to answer
Moneyman's question, why are they named like that?
So like you said,
each of these is named after players.
So you have player one, player two, and player three.
Each of the players represent a certain type of gamer
that basically would be using this machine.
Like a player one will be more of a casual gamer.
You'll probably play at 1080P.
Probably just want to go for a more inexpensive option
and you just want to start playing as soon as possible.
The player one does not necessarily need a player 3 PC,
A player three is going to be a very extensive, very extensive parts and stuff like that.
So we basically made it so each player, depending on which category you fit, you basically want that specific PC along with it.
For like what we have here is basically, yeah, 1080p for player one.
Just looking for respectable frame rates at a good price.
Still look good.
Yeah.
additionally since this is kind of this may be kind of like your step into the PC industry this is your first maybe second PC you guys owned and you're really starting to add to your setup you're starting to get a monitor you're starting to get these nice keyboards and mice you're starting to this is like your first step you're dipping your toes in and this is what player one is mainly for and what i like most about player one a part
from, you know, the price because I do think it is a reason to be price.
I don't think we mentioned the price. So Player 1 is $1,49. Player 1 Prime is $1,299.
But what I love most about these bills in particular, besides the price, is the fact that there's a lot of opportunity for improvement in upgrading down the line.
You're not going to need it right away.
So let's say you buy this PC today and three years from now, you want to upgrade to a water cooler or maybe you want to add more fans, maybe you want to add a bigger graphics card and things like that.
Like this case is pretty good for that because the case itself, the H5 flow, you know, it does have a much better airflow than the previous version of the starter PC, even though this is not technically called the starter.
But I'm really happy with the fact that we upgraded the case because I think it gives you a lot of potential for upgrading.
Especially like I said for AIOs because with this case in particular, you have room for AIO on top or the front, whereas before you only had room for AIO in the front.
I guess technically you can also put one in the rear depending on the size.
But yeah, pretty good entry-level PC.
better than my current PC
I must say my
I'll be making sure
to send that PC back
but Money Man has an actual
good question
what is the cost breakdown
as in what are the additional costs
on top of the parts going into it
actually the fun fact
it actually have a video
I'll see if I could pull it up
but one of we's had a sponsor
actually break down the cost
and put every single part into PC part
picker
there's basically
it's basically
the only thing difference is that since we build ourselves we add to build fee on top of it and shipping build fee and shipping those are the main to additional costs but if you basically buy these on pzzie part picker yourself it's basically going to cost basically to say yeah and uh it's interesting you mentioned that because yesterday you know when we started talking about the player one like right off the bat people were saying well i can build it
much cheaper and then someone like just chimed in the comments and they they made a
peasy perfecter list with the exact same parts and it was literally the same
amount of money and they quickly you know told everyone like actually you know
NCX is not not overcharging on this build obviously we do charge the $99
build fee obviously we do have to charge for shipping obviously we do have to
install windows on there and we're not installing like a 99
cracked Windows key that you find on eBay or anything like that.
So it will always be cheaper if you build the computer yourself for a couple of reasons.
Not only are you going to save on the shipping, save on the build fee, probably get the Windows key cheaper, but you're also going to be able to get the hardware cheaper because you can shop for sales, right?
So you don't have to buy everything from the same store.
You can buy from 10 different stores and make sure that you're getting everything as cheap as possible.
So even though it is cheaper to build it yourself and to be honest, more fun to build it yourself,
I feel like our prices are very reasonable and not too much more expensive than if you were to build it yourself.
So I think it's a good bargain.
Yeah, and also on top of the build fee, guys, don't forget, you also get a two-year warranty.
If you build it yourself, you do not have that type of stuff really, unless you get it with the part itself.
So if anything happens during the time, if any part fails, if something happens during shipping, whatever, contact or support team, you have the warranty for a reason.
So you got two years from when it delivers to basically be kind of carefree and understand that your PC is taken care of.
Ask for Laurent if you contact support.
All right.
Let's go into Player 2, Mike.
I got the specs here ready to go.
All right.
So Player 2 changes things up a little bit.
We throw a little curveball at you.
Instead of using an Intel CPU, we use AMD.
So the Player 2 base model has an AMD, Risen 5, 5600X, 6-core, 3.7 gigahertz C3.
It has a NVIDIA, GForce, RTX, 3070 GPU, 16 gigabytes of DDR for RAM, a 1 terabyte M.2 SSD,
B550 motherboard, a Crackin, 120, all-in-one liquid cooler, a 650 watt power supply, and all this is housed in the H5 Elite.
So the biggest difference between the H5 Elite and the H5 Flow is the Elite has a tempered glass front panel so you can see your fans, your AIO, your RGB lights a little bit more clearly.
It's more of a show-off type of case than an airflow case.
However, I will say that the airflow of the H5 Elite is still really good because
It has that, what some people so lovingly refer to as the toilet fan.
But it does blow a lot of air into the case because we have that little fan there at the bottom, which is helping move air around.
So the price of this one is, what is it, Mike?
1499.
Yep.
And then if you want to upgrade the player to PC to the player to
Prime, that one has an AMD-Risen 7, 5800X, 8-core 3.4 gigahertz CPU, a 47ETI GPU.
This one has twice as much RAM, so it has 32 gigabytes of RAM.
Still has the same size storage, 1 terabyte SSD, still the same B550 motherboard.
However, the CPU is beefed up to a 750, 750 watt C-Series, sorry, and a Crackin X-53 all-in-one liquid cooler.
So you get a bigger AIO, a bigger CPU, a bigger GPU, twice the RAM, bigger power supply, etc.
And the Player 2 PC, it's really, really good PC if you want to not just play video games, but also stream the games you're playing.
And it's also good for content creation, but not as good as Player 3.
Player 3 is really the one where if you want to multitask and do all sorts of stuff, that's where you want to go.
But Player 2 is the PC we recommend if you want to, you know, play Fortnite and stream on Twitch with your buddies and things like that.
Yep. Player 2 is going to be kind of either you really, really want to go all in for your first case or this is probably your second, third, maybe fourth PC.
You're starting to kind of gain a little bit of extra, you don't want to get a little bit extra juice into your PC.
You want a little bit more power. You know, you want to go from, you know, you just got a brand new monitor going from a 1080P monitor to like a 32 and 1440P monitor.
this PC is probably for you.
And like Ivan said, you're probably going to start
maybe straight to your friends, but you're starting to stream
on Twitch or YouTube or
whether a platform you want. You're starting to get
into it. This is the type of PC for you.
Yep. And I forgot to mention the price
of Player 2 Prime, which is $1,999.
And I see a few comments in the chat saying,
you know, these prices are really good. These prices
are reasonable, et cetera, good prices and all that.
And yeah, like we, like I said earlier, we are trying
to keep the price as low as possible. We're not trying to price gouge or rip anyone off.
So if anyone has any doubts about the prices, you can always go into PC Part Picker and plug in the parts,
and you can see for yourself what these things cost. I also want to go over the FPS numbers for these.
So Player 2 is the other advantage Player 2 has over Player 1 is that it is a really good PC.
if you want to play at 1440p. Player one, you can still play 1440p, but your FPS is not going to be anywhere near as well you can get on player two. So just to put that in comparison,
and I'm just going to go by the 1440p numbers right now. So player two, if you want to play call of duty modern warfare,
and once again, these FPS numbers are all tested at maximum settings. So player,
If you want to play Call of Duty of Modern Warfare, you're going to get 119.
If you want to play Fortnite, 93 FPS, League of Legends, 364 FPS, Grand Theft Auto 5, 74
FPS.
And this is all of 1440p.
For the Player 2 Prime, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, you can expect 171 FPS.
For Fortnite, you can expect 127 FPS.
For League of Legends, you can expect 384 FPS.
For Grand Theft Auto 5, you can expect 97 FPS.
And once again, these are all tested at maximum settings.
If you wanted to play these games at 1080p on the player 2, they're going to look really
great.
For example, on Grand Theft Auto 5, you're going to get over 100 FPS, which quite honestly is
a little unheard of for that game because
it's not optimized very well and like I've never played
that game above 60s so you know I would love to play it at 103
if given the opportunity so
yeah those are the numbers for for that any
anything else you want to cover for that mic or did I miss anything?
Yeah yeah I'm gonna go over some chat questions actually from
engineer is it real glass or plastic on the case
this is the 85 elite that the case is in
And as you see right here, it is steel with ultra clear tempered glass.
So basically, it is steel and glass only.
There is no plastic, so no melting or anything like that.
Another question, can it break easily?
I see someone break glass.
I can actually pull up this YouTube video.
Hold on.
You know that YouTube video, right, of the skating?
Yeah, when they took a, I think it was H210, right?
Yeah.
Let me see skating on a PC case
I forgot who was by
Oh is it was like
Search NZXT H210 skateboard
Should come up
NZT H210 skateboard
Forget about that
Yeah I'm trying to find it
I do not see their
Video
Well there's a video of an H2
Someone had one of our
H210s and he literally like
start they start like skateboarding on it.
And at the end of the video,
they start trying to break the glass
and it literally takes them like five tries
throwing their skateboard at it.
And it doesn't break until like the last time.
So these things are hard to break.
So it's tempered glass.
The funny or not the funny thing.
The interesting thing about tempered glass is like,
okay, well first of all it's glass, right?
Like all glass can break if you drop it,
big shocker.
And like don't be surprised if you drop a piece of glass.
you know, it's break, it's going to break.
But tempered glass is a little bit stronger than regular grass.
However, you know, it's also more fragile because I guess whatever process is used to make the glass tempered, you know, there could be like weak points somewhere in the glass.
So there's been cases like, or instances where I've seen, and not just with NZXC cases, like any other manufacturer cases, like you can just go on the,
PC Master Race subreddit and it seems like every day there's someone someone posting something but you can
Sometimes I've seen people that just take off the panel and it breaks in their hands, you know, so yeah, thank you derky here. This is the video
Okay, so they this is so they start like literally throwing their skateboard at the glass and it doesn't break
try it again. Try it again.
Commercial does it does it break
I was shocked this thing did not
Just shatter in a million pieces man
Oh they took the plastic off you know that was the thing
I'll break it first drive
Hey airship
I hear this
There we go
there we go
So satisfying
Yeah so it's
So it takes a lot to break it
In reality, the reason is, is that for temperglass, if you hit it with like a super fine point, like you're hitting it with a knife, then it could break.
But if you literally, like, put your fist against it, like, someone, you try punching a temperglass wall, it ain't breaking.
Exactly.
How often are you going to skate on PCKs?
But it's just to show, like, temper glass is something important.
What else was there?
Oh, there's two questions about warranty.
This is what I want to go into.
Can you swap the Cracken X-53 for a Z-73?
As I said in the chat, do not swap out parts.
You know, if you add a fan or an SSD, the customer service team isn't going to be that stingy.
But if you swap out a cooler, a CPU, a case or whatever, you will void warranty.
So, in my humble opinion, wait the two years until your warranty is done.
Or if you don't care about warranty, then who cares?
but try to avoid swapping parts until your warranty is done.
So there is no upgrade version because this is a pre-built PC.
So basically it is a PC that you basically buy and you don't make any changes to.
It's just easy to come.
And then this other question from WPNX33, do any parts or do any builds come overclocked?
No, do you not come overclocked?
The only thing that you can do that does avoid warranty is enabling
XMP, just enable XMP, that doesn't avoid warranty, but anything else is considered
overclocking and that would void warranty because that could put strain or something on
the PSU or the CPU or something where it kind of adds a little bit variability.
So please do not try overclocking when you have the warranty.
I guess the only other thing I would want to add to that is it's not that you can't do it.
It's just that if, you know, the reason why we don't do that stuff is just to make sure that, you know, nothing bad happens to your computer because we have no idea what your, you know, what your PC skill level is, you know?
Like, you imagine if we like overclock someone's PC like crazy and then they just did something that like fried everything, then, you know, it's not a good, not a good outcome.
I also see another question in here asking if this was this from also from WPN x33 is will the H9 be added to the collection?
The answer is we don't know yet. We do know people have been requesting that on social media and Mike and I have been passing along that feedback. So my hope is that we do add it because I think a lot of people would really like that case.
Oh, and also the other thing is, you know, for whatever reason you don't like these pre-bills or you want to change something up here and there, you can also just use our custom PC configurator and spec something out that's fairly similar and change up the parts that you want.
You know, so maybe, you know, you want a different case.
Maybe you want a different GPU, a different CPU, whatever.
You know, you can do that on our website and zext.com if you don't.
don't know. Yep. All right, let's go into Player 3, which is the big boy, the best we got, right? So Player 3, it goes back to Intel. So with that one, we have Intel I7, 13700 KF 16 core 3.4 gigahertz CPU.
It has a
Nvidia
Gforce R-TX
4070 TI
32 gigabytes of RAM
a 1 terabyte
S S S S SSD
Z690
motherboard
Crackin X63
all the one liquid cooler
750 watt
PSU
and that one is housed
inside the H7
Flow which
for those that don't
know that is a it's not as big as the H-9 but it's also a big case it's like our
our big boy so really good airflow really good upgradeability so if you want to
upgrade this stuff in the future like there's plenty of space to pretty much add you
know whatever you want for the most part you know obviously there there's always some
sort of restrictions on there but for the most part you can't upgrade this thing as much
as you can. For Player 3 Prime, which is the upgrade to Player 3, this one has an Intel I9, 13900 KF,
24, which has 24 cores and a three, sorry, let me start that over. Player 3 Prime has an Intel I9,
13900 KF with 24 cores at 3.0 gigahertz. That one also has a,
has a Nvidia G-Force RTX 4090, 64 gigabytes of
RGB RAM. This one has two one terabyte m.2 SSDs.
It still has a Z690 motherboard, but it has a Crackin 73 on there.
So you get the Crackin with the three fans. And then this PSU is
1,000 watts. And this one is housed.
inside the H7 Elite, which similar to the H5 Elite, you know, this one has the all-tempered glass front panel.
Still, you're still going to get good airflow. This one doesn't have the fan at the bottom of the PSU shroud,
but what this one has, that is it has a perforated top panel all along the top for really good airflow.
So even if you, you know, go with the elite right,
the elite route, you're still going to get a pretty good airflow in there, thanks to the
panel on the top and also the vents on the side and whatnot.
So the prices for this one, Mike, are what?
What's the player three and player three is 2499?
And then the player three is a big jump to 3899.
So like we said, player three, this is the end all be all like you are taking this
to the max you know you got that extra you got that extra paycheck you want to go all out for your
setup you want to be a video editor you want to be a top streamer you want to be playing games at
4k resolution you want like the top of the stuff this right here is the PCs that you would go
for if you want to use google chrome it has 64 gigabytes of ram yes it has that is actually one
or things is want to have a thousand Chrome tabs open to the background while you game and stream
I mean I'm using Google Chrome right now mine's mine's using a lot of my stuff but uh
this thing is basically the best of the pre builds can't go wrong with this one a big boy
4090 the unlocked until i9 yeah it's with this PC like you're going to be able to do
anything you want play games in 4K um
While you're streaming, you can then save a bunch of files on your system because it has two, one terabyte m.2s, which are super fast.
If you've never experienced an M.2 drive, it's like a, it's just imagine SSD on steroids.
Like it's kind of ridiculous how fast they are.
There's like literally, barely any wait time for anything.
It's like everything just loads instantly.
It's really, really, really awesome if you've never experienced that.
highly recommend it.
To get over some questions real quick
from Megan, is player two good for recording
or should I get player three?
Player two will definitely be fine
for recording. Based on
these are the player two specs, which is
a 5, a Risen 5,500X
and a 3070, you will be
fine. The only thing for recording that you have to
make sure you'll probably have to add is
like an HDD, like a hard drive,
because recording takes up a lot of storage.
So you may need to add in like a 4, 6, 8 terabyte hard drive down the road
because you don't want to clutter your SSD because that slows off,
you know, your game, windows, stuff like that.
So make sure you just have like an extra hard drive available.
You should be fine to record on the player too.
Yeah.
And I do want to go with the FPS numbers real quick.
So this PC, while it is, you know, capable of 4K,
I don't have the 4K numbers in front of me, unfortunately.
but I do have the $1080 and 1440 numbers on here.
So I'll just do the 1440 since, well, I guess I'll do both.
It doesn't, you know, since I'm, since I haven't here.
So player three, if you're playing Call of Duty modern warfare, on 180p, you can expect 185 FPS.
1440p, you can expect 164 FPS.
Player three, if you're playing Fortnite at 1080p, you can expect 1840p, you can expect 1640p, you can,
can expect 197 FPS and at 1440 you can expect 189 FPS. For League of Legends at
1080p on the Player 3 PC you can expect 460 frames per second which is a lot. And then
in 1440p you can expect 442. And last but not least for Grand Theft Auto 5 on the Player 3 PC
At 1080p, you can expect 171 frames, and at 1440 you can expect 150 frames per second.
And once again, these FPS numbers are all tested at maximum settings, putting everything in
ultra, you know, like just moving that needle all the way to the top.
You'll get a lot more frames as you tweak them, you know, you lower things, turn things off,
but this is with everything turned on at max.
For Player 3 Prime, you can expect to get 207,000, you can expect to get 207,
frames per second on Call of Duty Modern Warfare at 1080p, and you can get 171 frames per second
if you're playing that game at 1440p. If you're playing Fortnite on Player 3 Prime at
1080p, you can expect 167 frames per second. And if you're playing that game at 1440p on the Player 3
Prime PC, you can expect 160 frames per second. For a League of Legends, you can expect 3
392 frames per second at 1080p on the Player 3 Prime.
And if you're playing that game at 1440P on the Player 3 Prime PC, you can expect to get 391 frames per second.
And lastly, Grant the F Auto 5 on the Player 3 Prime PC at 1080p, will get you 130 frames per second.
And if you bump that up to 1440p, you can get 129 frames per second.
all at max max setting so um not bad not too shabby fps yeah uh also just uh i remember seeing someone
can just was a question a while ago almost any pc can run valourin honestly like league and valerent
are probably one of the easiest games to run so don't worry like it's probably one of the easiest
things you can do um i i could run it i used to have a macbook you can run on a mac so don't worry too much
about League or Valerant. I forgot who asked that question, but that's a while ago.
And also to go back, I think you already answered Megabyte Megan's question here about
player two and if it's good for recording content or they should get Player 3. So Player 2,
you can. You could record content on there. However, I would recommend the Player 2 prime
over Player 2 only because I know I know you, Megabyte.
Megan or Megan the megabyte.
I know you're like, you know, trying to, you got a lot going on.
And the Player 2 Prime, you know, it has 32 gigabytes of RAM versus 16 gigabytes on the Player 2.
And it also has the 8 core processor versus the 6 core processor on the base model.
The base model is still, honestly, you can still do those things on the base model.
But I feel like the Player 2 Prime will just make it a little bit.
it's a bit smoother for you.
You know, and it's never, it's never,
I don't typically recommend anyone
never get 32 gigabytes of RAM unless they're,
they're working in content creation.
16 gigabytes is basically like what I would recommend for
gaming and 32 is what I would say, like,
okay, you want to do gaming and something else, just get
32 so you don't have to worry about it.
Perfect.
Curious, why do you guys use a Z690 board
instead of a Z790 with an SSD
with the, with no,
DRAM. Probably because of parts, honestly.
Parts.
Well, to be completely honest, it's Mike and I are not like, we're not the ones coming
up with these specs lists.
So I could, we can't honestly give you the actual answer of like, here's why we chose this.
But like Mike said, there's different things that come into play when it comes to piecing
together pre-builds.
The first thing obviously is like, well, we can get our hands on, you know, like, um,
some some of you might recall the great the great GPU crisis of uh what a 2018
2019 when you could not find a graphicist card to save your life you know like things happen
where like you know we might not be able to get a certain thing and we might be able to get
a lot of another so that that definitely plays a factor into it I just don't know in
particular like why you know that example that you asked about what's chosen but that for
that for sure plays a plays a factor in it um the other thing to
is that plays a factor and all this is price.
You know, if you put a bigger, better motherboard, a bigger, better cooler, a bigger, better CPU,
bigger, better GPU, you know, that's going to cost a lot more, obviously.
So while we know, like, the Player 3 Prime, you know, yeah, if you really wanted a computer
that had 256 gigabytes of RAM, you know, you can do that.
But it's also going to cost you a lot, right?
And we feel like the specs that we have on the Player 3 Prime,
or not just that one, but all of them are pretty good for the price and performance
and what you can get for them.
I see we have a question here from Ruski 69.
What type of warranty do you guys offer on pre-bills?
I know most companies only offer one year and it costs more for additional crevage.
So our warranty is two years, and we also give you the option to add on top of that.
So you can purchase extended warranties as well.
But starts at two years, which is a pretty long time.
Like you said, most companies are doing one year, right?
Yeah, most companies do one year.
So I'm even to do six months now with everything going on.
But yeah, we have stuck with our two-year warranty.
And, yeah, include parts and labor.
So, you know, let's say, oh, a fan is getting a little weird.
Send us a message at nzc.com slash support.
Send over a ticket.
We can send you just like a fan.
Does that entail free shipping both ways if anything goes wrong?
It depends.
I think I answered this question before.
It depends on the case.
Most of the time, yes, we do send prepaid labels.
But again, it depends on it depends on the case by case basis because things can change.
But most of the time, yeah.
Yeah, most of the time we do, but again, it depends.
Yeah, every, every like warranty claim, every RMA request is a little different.
So, you know, if, for example, you have to send back, you know, a cable or something,
or we get to send you a cable, it's probably not going to be as expensive as it is to, like,
ship the whole computer back, for example.
Also, I think the skill level of the customer plays a little.
roll into that as well because
you know we have some
customers who
and this is not to like put them down or anything but you know
we have some customers who don't know even know how to take off the side
panel of their case right so for us to ask them
something like you know we want you to
reseat the
the GPU or to reapply their own pace
and things like that and it's just asking too much of them where like they can't do
that we're going to have to just say okay
okay, well, just send the whole PC back.
You know, what problem could literally just be like,
you know, you just have to push the GPU in a little bit more.
And, you know, it really depends on what the,
what the warranty claim is.
And I will also say like, just recently someone said,
someone messages on Twitter and they said, you know,
if I buy a computer for you, like, can you promise nothing's going to be wrong with it?
And my honest answer was, you know, we can't promise,
promise that because we're humans and these are machines. Humans and machines are not perfect. Things happen, you know, we can build a perfectly working machine that the guy delivering it from UPS or whatever, you know, decides to to kick around that day. And the next thing you know, you have like a loose RAM stick when you get your PC. Like some stuff is out of our control, right? But for the, for the most part, I would say,
you know most people are not having major issues when they get the computers but things happen you know
i'm currently dealing with the rm a claim myself with my phone so i i know the struggles it's not
it's not fun to do that stuff uh let's see a couple questions here i see one where it's uh
it's always better to build a pc yourself and save money yeah of course we and like we said
it's better sometimes better to uh build a pc if you can we honestly recommend it
most of the time to build your own PC
but I think Rusky
kind of encapsulated it pretty well
not everyone's capable of building
or knowledgeable enough to do basic stuff
some people just physically
are like they're not capable of doing it
there's I remember we had a question about that
and someone literally can barely use their hands
so pre-built PCs is better for them
because then it's more accessible because all they have to do
is just buy it and they're able to
able to gain rather than spend hours upon hours and maybe even messing up.
And at least with these pre-bilts, it comes with a two-year warranty.
So if anything happens, you're at least covered with a warranty and he should be able to get you help out.
I also want to address something here that E.N. 07385 said, they said,
NZXT lacks customer service by a lot, two weeks to two months for responses according to people in their own Discord.
So with this, I will also say, for the most part, our customer service team is not making people wait that long to respond to tickets.
However, similar to like warranty claims and things like that, there are times where there is no update to give.
So for example, let's say you submit a customer service ticket and you request a side panel for your PC because the side panel broke, right?
you know, our customer service team will message back and say, okay, cool, you know, we'll ship this out as soon as we get it in stock.
You know, that could be a day or a month sometimes, depending on what it is, right?
And what ends up happening sometimes?
And this happens a lot, like, because I know, I know it happens a lot because, you know, I, I'm, me and Mike are the ones responding to people on social media who get upset about this.
They'll say, like, hey, what the heck?
I submitted a ticket a month ago.
emailing every single day and no one's getting back to me and what's happening in that
scenario is like every time you're responding to the ticket what happens is it takes that
ticket and it moves it down to the bottom of the customer service queue right so like if a
customer service agent has I say 100 tickets they're looking at and your number number one
And then if you don't hear a response and you decide to respond back, it goes from 1 to 100.
And I have no idea why it does that.
I guess that's just like the ticketing software we use.
It does that.
So a lot of times people are emailing like crazy and saying like, you know, NDC is ignoring me when reality is like, no, we're not ignoring.
It's just that the constant responses are keeping pushing things down.
So that's just one scenario.
Obviously, there's different things that can happen, but I will also say that if someone
ever contacts us on social media and is having those issues, Mike and I always grab the
ticket number, and we have a top secret Slack channel where we let our customer service team know
like, hey, so-and-so is trying to get in touch or they haven't heard back in a while or whatever
going on. Here's a ticket number and then our customer
service team jumps on it.
So yeah, I just wanted to
clarify like that because
I, you know, I don't want the, I don't want
people to think that
that people are waiting months
for a response for
customer service because that is
definitely not the norm.
Yeah, and I have to
kind of agree with Ivan about that
about very basic tickets
I see from ESA. I've heard from
people with very basic tickets waiting
months. I'm 99% sure every single one of those would probably be a replacement part. And
if you know about the supply chain issues right now, especially with around in like East Asia,
there is a lot of issues with shipping ports and getting things back. So honestly, it sucks
because, yeah, yeah, and you can be honest about the experiences, of course.
Like, and that's why we're trying to address.
Um, we want to be able to tell people like, it's not like we are purposely ignoring.
It's there's something that we literally can't do, which is sometimes we just have to wait for parts.
If it's a glass panel, if it's a, um, uh, a certain fan or, you know, like, you know,
maybe something for a case or something like that.
Sometimes we just have to wait.
you know and then the other thing too that you know that kind of kind of sucks too is like no one ever goes on discord or Reddit or Twitter to talk about their positive social their positive customer service experience for the most part most people are going on there to to complain about their customer service experience because they're having a tough time but you know for every bad bad review you know I'm sure
there's a lot more positive ones.
You know, we've sold a lot of computers.
We've sold a lot of components.
And I don't think we would be in business today
if our practice was to make people wait months on end
or a response on something, you know.
But like I said, we are humans, computers are machines.
Neither are perfect things happen.
But we always do our best, you know.
Like I said too, Mike and I,
we're the ones that are
that are chatting with you guys
on social media
so when you guys are messaging us
and are like hey like I haven't heard
back from customer service I need help
like we will help you but like we're not
ignore we're not going to ignore you
so we'll just do our best
mm-hmm
pre-bills are ready to ship or the pre-bills
ready to ship no PCs will take about
48 business hours
remember business hours in Monday to Friday
so if you order on Friday it'll take two days
from that
but keep an eye out
for the things because sometimes you just got to wait for the shipping confirmation and then you're all set.
Oh, yeah, I see some people here said Resky and Jamie say, Resky says I got two at her monitors and both that were incredible.
Jamie says, bought my H510 elite build back in 2020 and I love it.
So like you, and I agree, most of the time you see more divisible.
You know, if you look at Google reviews, 90% of time,
it's probably going to be bad reviews that catch your eye
because those are the ones that people need a voice.
And we're trying to address it as fast as possible.
We send it over to our team as quick as possible.
You know, I hate that, you know,
we are even in a situation where we have these situations,
but we're going to try to address it.
And if there's any issues, please send us like a DM on Twitter
or something like that.
If no one's getting to your thing, we'll help you out.
Or call our 1-800 customer service number
and ask for Laurent, he'll help you out.
Yeah, yeah, just call for him.
Oh, there he is.
There he is.
Well, I mean, that basically covers the overview of our new player PCs.
I hope everyone got the answers they were looking for.
If anyone has any more questions, you know, go ahead and drop them now before we
we wrap things up.
If not,
then we can just give out the secret code
and do some quick announcements
and go on from there.
I'll answer Hayes' question.
Hayes, I'm planning on making a PC build
with a new H-9 case,
but don't know which one would be better for my build.
Well, it depends on what you want.
If you want a little bit better airflow,
if you want more performance,
definitely do the H-9 flow
because it has a perforated back panel
and top panel.
But if you just want to go all glass, you just want to see all the RGB to delete, because the top panel is a little glass panel as well.
So it really just depends on which one you want.
If you want performance or if you want like all glass, see all the RGB, do delete.
Michael Cowell asks, what if I accidentally format my SSD and lose the MZXC recovery image?
Is there a way to get that back or is it gone forever?
I'm not too sure
I'm pretty sure
if you wipe your drive
it's probably gone forever
but
I'm also pretty sure
that were to happen
our customer service team
would fix it somehow
you probably would lose everything he had on that
drive if you
if you accidentally just wiped everything
but
I'm sure you could
you know get it fixed and get it up and rain again
just what probably would have you know stuff missing
oh here it is
from Eric is crying due to PCs come
automatically come with a warranty
or do you have to purchase that they automatically come
with a warranty however you can add additional years
or extra time onto your warranty if you want
instead of the standard two years
you want to do you know X amount
you can add that on top
known as Oscar.
We do have microphones.
Let me show you.
There's one right now.
We're actually using it right now.
This is the capsule.
We're actually using it right now.
We have the capsule in black and white and even a boom art.
Let's see.
Oh, I also had two questions from the chat,
and I actually want to address this as well.
It's for Money Man,
is it possible to replace the AIO with a fan
when ordering, I don't want watered my PC.
So he's talking about the Cracken Coolers.
So these things right here, the Cracken Coolers.
These things are like six times or something threaded.
I've had multiple, I mean multiple like Crackens.
I've had my first case, had a M-22, my next one at X-63.
I now have a Z-63.
I have never had a single issue with it leaking.
And it's almost impossible to leak unless there is a physical
default a deep like a natural fault with it like if you're physically cutting at it or the fans hitting
the thing most of the time if it's installed correctly you never have to replace the liquid it'll never
spill and honestly these things last a long time like my uh the old crackins that i still have
i still gave it to my friends and they're still using it and that that was you know four or five
years ago and they're still continuing to use it so these things are really good don't worry about the
if anything happens and the crack end explodes contact customer sport team yep aio rarely leaks the pump
will be the first point of failure exactly these things i've rarely seen these things lead
and savage t t tvs savage t t tv asked which which tier of the player pc that recommended for
gaming and i told them player two um but i do want to elaborate a little bit um you know players
Player 2, you'll be able to game and stream, no problem.
However, Player 2 Prime is going to give you more cores on your CPU,
a bigger GPU.
You're going to go from 30 series to a 40 series,
and you're going to double your RAM from 16 and 32 gigabytes.
You're also going to get a bigger AIO.
You're going to get bigger power supply.
So depending, I guess, on the last.
level of a streaming that you're doing you know you might want to get the player two if you want to do a
little bit you know more i guess work you can say but if you just want to you know play fortnight
click live on twitch and just set it and forget it like player two's going to do that no problem
weapon x i finally got your name right uh what's next for n zi c i'd love to see more streaming
accessories new mic headphone desk speakers new oled monitors um i i mean we're we just
talked about like what would we love i would love to have like a full nx60 pc you know like n60 gp u
nz60 gram you know i would love that but that's years years years down the road but hopefully
you know we'll release something but that'd be great if we could an nz xt car
nzxt car an nc xxt uh i don't even nzcc game
Wait, that's PC building simulator, basically.
John J. Cruz says,
My daughter wants to build her first PC.
Is the H510 in a good case?
She'll be getting the RTX 3060.
So I will say that H510 is a good case.
However, it is discontinued,
and it has been revamped with the H5,
which has a better airflow on it.
So the H510, not a bad case,
very popular. I mean, I'm sure everyone's honestly probably sick of it at this point because there's just been so many builds with it.
But the reason why you see so many builds in the H510 when you go on, like, let's say, the Battlestition subreddit and whatnot,
is that it's just a very easy case to build in. Has, you know, the cable management channels,
you don't have to remove panels on that case because the panels are not removable, you know.
So it's really easy to build in, not hard at all.
However, if you can get the H5 flow or the H5ELE, I would recommend that over the 510 just because it's newer and you're going to get better airflow.
And you're going to be able to put bigger parts in there too because it does let you put AIO on top and the 510 doesn't.
Any more questions, Michael?
I think that's pretty much it.
I do want to address PNW's last question.
When are we going to see EZT's podcast shirts with U2 on?
lot of it's what the people want i don't know if you guys can see this but i have an nxie podcast sticker
from way back in the day when when the the show was was me and dennis and amanda on there
that was that was a while ago you believe this podcast has been going on since 2018 yeah because
we're on 149 almost on 150 and you know some days we skipped too but like we pretty much have a
doing this almost weekly 150 weeks basically almost that we've basically been doing this and it's most
people most people that tune into the podcast are not even tuned in live it's people that are
watching the bod on Twitch and then also streaming on their podcast platforms and I'm always
surprised when I when I do my my little like monthly reports and whatnot and I look at the
podcast this is I'm like oh wow
like we got more podcast listeners this month and more subscribers and whatnot and it's pretty cool.
I feel like the live views on Twitch, they're not super high compared to the streams we get.
I think it's honestly because we're a computer company trying to compete with like, you know, celebrity streamers.
And I don't think people really care or want to see like what a company is talking about on Twitch versus like,
I just want to watch Tim Tattman and Dr. Disrespect play some cod.
You know, I think it's really hard to compete with the quote-unquote real streamers on Twitch.
You know, we're just, but we're, you know, we're happy.
We like doing this podcast, and we like interacting with our live audience,
and we like doing the giveaways and all that.
So maybe one day will be as popular as Tim the Tatman and Dr. Disrespect.
You never know.
Perfect.
All right.
I guess we'll go ahead and end off there.
I'll go ahead and go into our announcements real quick.
Just like as we talked about,
we have our new player PCs at nz60.com.
So each PC is made for a specific player.
So if you've matched that description, go for it.
And if you want to check it out,
check a look at nz60.com and check our pre-build options.
And on top of the pre-build options,
we are launching a ton of new products.
We have new cases, new coolers, new fans, new monitors, new mics, keyboards, everything, thermal paste.
I always say this, it's always thermal paste.
That one always gets to me.
You can also check them out at n60.com or if they're out of stock, sign up for a newsletter
to stay in the loop whenever you get that email whenever they're back in stock.
And I give you an impromptu announcement too.
Yes, of course.
So regarding the stock stuff, because we, you know, we are very well aware that we don't have a lot of stuff in stock right now that people that people want.
The H9 being the primary culprit, right?
However, I will also like to announce and give a shout out to all the retailers out there that sell NZT products because it's not just NZXT.
You know, there's, you can get NZXT hardware from a lot of different places.
So go to nzXT.com slash retailers if you don't find it on NZXT.com.
Check Amazon, check New Egg, check microcenter, check Best Buy, check Walmart, check everywhere
because it's not just on NZXT.com.
And I know it's really frustrating when you're trying to get, you know,
like something from NZXT and you go on a website and it says out of stock.
But it is also really cool when I see a lot of new builds.
Like right now, we're seeing a lot of new H9 builds on social media,
and it's because people are buying them on Amazon.
They went on Amazon a couple weeks ago,
and people started signing them up.
So I just want to give a quick plug to all the stores and retailers out there.
So nzxte.com slash retailers, if you can't find it on nv60.com.
All righty.
I guess we'll go ahead and go into the code so for those that are watching there is a giveaway going on for a hoodie a shirt and a sticker and lanyer pack and as I thank you for everyone that's alive we have a little extra thing for a secret code available basically it just gives you 500 extra entries majority of these things are like 10 by the way guys and most of the time when I pull winners tends to be
this. This is our way of saying thank you for joining us live. And in honor of March 10th or
Mario Day, we are making our code, Mario Prime, Mario Prime, M-A-I-M-A-R-I-O, P-R-I-M-E, no spaces.
Mario Prime is our code prime for our Player Prime PCs, but we wanted to give you guys a thank
you for joining us live.
and that will give you 500 extra entries.
I'll pull winners later today.
And keep an eye at your free emails.
I will try to get that done by today
before I end up moving to my new apartment.
And laugh announcement is known as Oscar.
Saw your tweet, man.
Give you a little shout out on Twitter right now.
Oscar was the first viewer today and first commenter today.
So you get a free shout out on...
Dang.
What a, what a, that's a special treat right there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you, Oscar.
All right, guys.
