Hello, everyone, and welcome to episode 158 of the NCC podcast, the official podcast of the NXD community.
This podcast is recorded live at 10 a time, usually.
However, this is a very special podcast because we have some special guests.
I won't get into it after.
But this episode is still available to stream on demand on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
My name is Mike.
It was me as always, is Ivan.
How are you doing, Ivan?
I'm doing great, Mike.
excited for a special
NSD podcast after dark
edition. I feel like
I should have the fireplace on
and have some hot cocoa here or something
because this is the latest
I've been at the office in a while, but it's for a good
reason, and that's because we have
two very special guests, one
of whom is in a really
weird time zone for us because they're on the other side of the
world from where we are.
But I'll let them introduce themselves.
So welcome, Diana. Welcome
Kevin, how are you?
Hello, fine.
Here in Taiwan is 8 a.m.
So thank you for having us and stay in the office late.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Good morning.
Thank you for waking up early and joining us.
And Kevin, I see you're in the water there,
spinning around in a circle.
Are you okay?
Yeah, just enjoying the light bath and twirling around.
I see.
All right, so I'll start with Diana first.
For those that don't know who you are, Diana, who are you, and what do you do at NZT?
Yeah, so I am, my name is Deanna, and I am the cooling product manager and CNXC.
And so my job is to manage the cooling line.
And from ideation to development, testing, and the launch.
Very, very important job.
And how about you, Kevin?
Who are you and what do you do at NZXT?
So I am also the product manager for all of the PC components.
So I do have Deanna reporting into me.
I've worked with the company for about nine years now.
And so that's been quite the ride working with the teams here.
Yeah, it's been a really long time.
And what did you do before you worked at NST, Kevin?
I was working for a much smaller-based, I guess, PFC.
Well, it's more of like an accessories company doing also product management.
But when I joined NST, I originally started as a marketing specialist.
And at the time, it was a really small company.
no more than 60-70 employees at the time.
But yeah, now that we've grown, I eventually went on to take on to a product management
rule and got me where I am today.
It's been fun.
Thanks.
And how about you, Diana?
What did you do before you worked at in ZXT?
I was also doing product management, but in a different industry.
I was in Telecom, working doing product management for the mobile plans in the telecom.
And also in Taiwan, I work for a geolocation software company doing product marketing.
How did you end up in Taiwan by chance?
I applied for a scholarship to study my master here.
And yeah, I came here in 2015.
And then I said, okay, I want to try to work in Taiwan.
Yeah.
That's how I used to.
Where did you live before Taiwan?
I'm from Nicaragua.
So, yeah, I live there.
That's quite a distance from your home town.
Well, that's cool.
Mike does have some other questions for you.
But before we get into those, I do want to.
Quickly mention that we do have a giveaway going on right now for our live listeners.
So if you are listening live, you can type exclamation mark giveaway in the chat and you will get a link to the giveaway there.
And if you stick around to the very end of the show, you will get an extra special super top secret word,
which will give you a bunch of bonus entries into the giveaway.
And if you're not listening live and listening on demand after the fact, you guys should tune in live because we do give away some goodies here when we,
when we do this live. So I forgot to mention that at the beginning. Sorry for the random commercial
there, but I just wanted to get it out of my brain before I forgot. So Mike, I'll let you
take it away from the next question. So speaking of since you guys are product managers,
so can you guys give a list of things that you guys have worked on either at NZX here before
that you're kind of proud of during your time here?
Yeah. So I was first working with accessories and
One of my first projects was the vertical GPU mounting kit and the thermal paste.
Also then the fans and the RGB and fan controllers.
So eventually I took over the cooling line with the T120, the air coolers, and now the AIO, the Krakins.
Oh, and then Kevin, what did you work on during your time?
Yeah, so when I first started as a product manager was bringing up our very first motherboard,
which was the N7 Z370.
And from that point on, I went on to take on the cooling line, which I handed over to Deanna to oversee.
And at the time, it was our third generation.
So the Krakken Z was brought up by me and me and the team.
and I still continue to manage the motherboard line as well as the cases line.
So any of the cases right now that we're working on.
Well, what was your favorite product that you've pretty much worked on during your time here?
Do you have a specific one that you loved working on?
I think the Cracken Z was definitely one.
that was very unique.
We, well, I can't say we were the first to make a liquid cooler with the LCD.
But I think in terms of our, I guess, what would you say, our take on what it should be,
we really, it really required a lot of our engineering teams to, to, to,
you know, work cohesive and in full collaboration with what we sort of envision the product
can do. And at the time, you know, our team is, well, even today, our team's pretty scattered.
You know, it's, we got engineers in Taipei. We got software engineers in the States. And so,
yeah, during that time, I, you know, flew to our SF offices. And, you know,
and you know, worked with the team here to sort of build up the software and the UI piece.
And so, yeah, that one was, you know, quite new for its time.
Interesting.
And then, Deanna, what is your favorite product that you're, like, pretty proud of during your time here?
So for me, because I wasn't there for the Dragon Z, for me, it's the new Cracking Elite.
and I think it's seeing the product come to life and getting to test it and yeah it played with it
it was very enjoyable experience so definitely yeah the cracking lead is my favorite product
well we're actually going to go a little bit into the new cracking soon but first I do want to
ask I guess we'll go to Deanna again what was like the most challenging
product that you worked on, not just at NCC, but at all times.
It was like the hardest challenge of one.
Yeah, I think every product has their own challenge, but definitely also the Cracky Elite
product.
We had a couple of changes in the development process during that time.
And yeah, we also have the time constraints.
So it was very challenging.
But I would say it was pretty nice to see everybody, the company,
collaborating and we overcome all this challenge.
So, yeah, cracking lead.
And then Kevin, how about you?
The most challenging product that you worked on?
I think, yeah, I mean, to the honest point,
there's every product in itself is quite a challenge.
I would say for our motherboards, you know, when we first started, it was really piecing together a lot of things.
And, you know, each generation of motherboards, something is going to go out of whack and you're going to find yourself, oh, we're going to be late.
And so, you know, there's a, yeah, ultimately it's always, you know, can we meet the deadline?
Can we, you know, launch on time?
And, you know, can we get everything in a state where, you know, users will not be in a, well,
hopefully they will appreciate, you know, the work that we put into, you know, the products.
But, yeah, it's to make sure these products are ready for the community and in a ready-to-ship state.
Well, you two sound like you have very stressful and important jobs.
Aren't you glad that you and I work in social media, Mike, where we just post memes?
Yeah, you know, I mean, we're, you know, we got to figure out, you know, what type of meme we've got to post for that day.
It's pretty tough.
Pretty tough for us.
Yeah, no, you guys have very, like I said, very important jobs, and it does sound stressful,
and we will dig deeper into what it's like working on products.
But before we do that, you know, I want to just jump right into the latest products that you two worked on,
which is our new cracken lineup and our new core fans.
Let's just start with the crackens.
And I'm going to pick on Diana here since those are her babies.
Diana, tell me, what are the new crackens?
Yeah, so we have a refresh lines of the coolers, the CPU coolers, and we have the Cracken that is the one that have the 1.54 inches screen and the Cracken Elite, that is the one that has 2.36 inches screen.
So these two products, we offer in three sizes.
the 240, 280, and 260 for the radiator.
And we also have non-RGV for the ones that are more interested in performance,
and RGV for the ones who really like their build to shine.
So we also offer it in black and white,
and prices go from 139 to 299 U.S. dollar.
Starting with the Krakam and non-RGV,
and to Cracking Elite RGV.
And it's 12 total, right?
12 new crackings total?
No, 18.
18. Wow.
That's a lot.
It's a lot of models.
Yeah.
So we have a lot of options.
So everybody can, yeah, to stare at the one that fits better.
Yeah.
And we do get a lot of questions on social media about these crackins.
and I think the number one question that we've received is,
what is the difference between these new crackens and the old ones?
And I think people ask that question because they look very similar,
but in fact, they are different.
So can you explain what the differences are between these new crackens and the old ones?
Yeah.
Well, the question is for me, right?
Yeah, for you.
This is your time to shine right now.
Yeah, so we have starting with the cracking elite.
So in comparison to the Cracken Z,
we have a new LCD screen,
it's a wide angle screen.
And so they had better resolution,
the double of the resolution, so now it's 640 by 640,
better brightness and also color accuracy.
We hear from our customers that,
They were complaining that with the crack in Z, some colors will wash out.
So we improved the screen and now we have much better color accuracy and as well viewing angles.
So you have now 80 degrees from every size you see the LCD.
Yeah.
All their changes is that we have a more powerful microcontroll.
So that's why we also have more features in the Cracking Elite.
And for installations, we changed from two cables to one cable.
So we have this breakout cable that makes it easy to install.
And the new fence, that's another change.
So we used to have the ARGV fans, and now we have the F-Series RGV fans.
RGP core fan, which are more luminous.
Nice. Yeah, we'll get into the fans in a minute,
but I think my favorite of all the features you listed off,
it's definitely, you're not gonna believe me,
but it's actually the installation.
And I found that out the hard way, I guess,
because I upgraded my PC with the new Cracken,
and I accidentally installed
the regular crack-in.
And after I insult everything, I was like, oh, shoot, like, this is not the elite.
I wanted to be elite.
So I had to take everything apart, and then I realized, wait, I don't have to take everything apart
because it's just one cable I got to plug in here.
I can just take off the radiator and the pump, and then I'll just plug this one
back, this one cable back in here, and then call it a day.
And that's what I did.
And it was, like, super easy to swap it out.
And I think the installation.
now, it's not that the previous one was harder. It was just more steps. Now, like you said,
it's just one cable. You don't have to worry about fiddling with a bunch of wires or anything
like that. So I really do like that installation process. And then you also mentioned all the
new modes that CAM provides for these crack-ins. And I do want to mention to our listeners,
we did do a podcast a couple episodes ago with Amanda and C-Tong from,
the software team, and we went over
all the different modes
and what everything does with the different
crack-ins, and then the episode right
after that, if you guys are interested in,
and actually
seeing the stuff in action,
we did a whole episode where I just put the camera
on my crack-in
and then walked every one step by step, like,
every single mode. So you guys can
check those out if you're interested.
I guess
we'll go a little bit about
the fans.
So basically, I just want to ask, for those that don't know, we also released new fans, new core fans.
Does anyone want to take over to tell us exactly what these fans are and why just felt so special?
Do you want to go?
I think, yeah, I mean, I could go.
So in terms of, you know, making the full package of, you know, RGB fans, you know, together with.
with a liquid cooler, we went back and we decided on what was important to the user.
So the RGB core actually has a set of fan blades that are more optimal for the performance that we need for this generation of coolers.
We made it so that the hub this time around is lit.
Previously in the past, it was our air lineup of RGB fans.
And right now we went with the, I guess, a separate RGB controller that we add to the package.
And that way, users, they could swap it as with ease.
So yeah, hopefully, you know, this was a change that, you know, users ended up liking.
Yeah, so with our Cracken RGB and Cracken LEATRGB, it'll come with that three-port
RGB controller and everything, the lighting, you know, would just connect right up to it.
So you guys have these new fans.
We also have these other fans.
We have the F, we had the RGB duos, and we had the regular, you know, F120 RGBs, F140
RGBs, the PZQ.
So what's the difference?
So what is the, like, the main difference between these new core ones compared to the other ones?
So, for...
Yeah, go ahead.
Yeah.
So the first one we launched last year was the RGB fans, F-Series RGB fans.
There are, it has a ring for LEDs.
So, and then this year in the beginning we launched the RGB dual.
So we have two rings, one in the front and one in the back.
And basically, you can see the light from every angle.
And with the RGB core fans,
The LEDs are not in a ring.
They are mounted in the center of the fan.
So this is why this type of fan has a blades that are translucent.
So the light can shine from the center to the outer.
And it makes it looks more luminous in the size of the case.
Yeah.
So these are the difference between our RV fans.
So now we have three different fans,
and all of them works with the RGV control,
and it can be synchronized using CAM.
And as well, user can modify the fan curve scene on CAM.
These new fans also, all of them use the fluid dynamic bearings,
which make it to last longer.
They have a lifespan of 60,000 hours, 60,000 hours.
And yeah, you can mount it everywhere in the case because the FTP.
Yeah, and I really like the look of the new fans.
It's not that I didn't like the look of the previous ones.
It's just, you know, like the air-adjv was cool.
You know, it had like the squircle ring and then the,
the next iteration was cool because it had the circular ring,
and the next iteration was cool because it had the ring on both sides,
but we've never had translucent fan blades.
So I was actually very, very happy that we did that,
just because now I can say we have different options, right?
Whether you want the blades to light up or you want the ring or no RGB at all,
we have all sorts of different fans now,
which is cool before it was kind of like just,
one type of fan so very very very happy we got these fans and um yeah all of them are from uh sorry
no go ahead all of them has um are from the same family of fans so basically you can mix in the
in the in your build you can you can have some rdb core in one uh one side and maybe on the front panel
you put some RTV duo or RTV.
Yeah, they're cool.
And I'm starting to see more built now with these fans,
especially like they look really nice in the H9 case,
like with the full glass.
It's a very, very unique look for an NXT build,
that is, because previously it was very,
they were all very similar with rings and now that,
you know, it's not the case.
Now it's, you actually see them with different blades,
which is nice.
you know, kind of changing topics about the product here and going more into like your actual jobs and product marketing.
So I've always thought, like in the back of my mind that I would actually be like the best product marketer in the world.
But I'm sure that is wrong.
But the reason why I say that is because all day long I'm hearing like the pros, the cons about our product.
the good, the bad about our products, what people like, what people hate, et cetera.
But when I actually look into the job of product marketing and what it entails, I realize,
man, like, this is like something that is super complicated, super not easy.
And no, like, I'm not just because I, you know, I listen to people's comments that is not
necessarily make me the best product marketing manager in the world.
So I guess my question to you is, you know, when you're making a product, how long are you researching the product that you're going to make?
And, you know, like, what does that research actually entail?
Like, what are you doing when you're researching the stuff?
And I'll start with you, Diana, and then we'll go with Kevin.
So research is a everyday job.
We have to keep every day seeing what is happening in the market, what customers are liking.
And your question was, how long do we take for research?
Yeah, like, how long are you researching a new product before it actually, you know, you actually start working on it.
It takes a lot of time, yeah.
Also, we have this ideation part, our ideas is the face in which we collect.
a lot of information of the current products.
So, for example, if we are going to replace that product with another one, right,
we keep track of the product reviews, where customer think, what works the experience,
and they usually post it on an Amazon, Reddit, or other platforms.
And we also do customer satisfaction service and interviews.
And then later we have a retro session in which everybody in the company talk about this,
what went wrong, what we're right with the product, so we can improve our products
and keep the features that customers like.
And also we keep an eye of the new technologies and the products available on the market
so we can have a clear view of the competitive landscape.
And would you say the answer is the same for you, Kevin?
Are you doing the same things?
Yeah, pretty much.
You know, a lot of factors trickle down into, you know,
how we make our everyday decisions on our products.
And, you know, ultimately it's for, you know,
the community that we're, you know, hoping we are making the rest of the
right calls and making the right trade-offs. In terms of doing the research, you know, it really is
something that's, you know, nonstop. You know, you, I guess the team has to be able to, you know,
pivot and shift, you know, given the changing, you know, competitive landscape. So, yeah,
But what we, I guess the difficulty that comes with our job is to plan a roadmap that's, you know, a year out, two years.
Yeah, that is that. That's actually what made me realize that it is a really hard job when I, when I've figured out, like, you're not necessarily making a product for today. You're making a product for the, like, tomorrow.
Right. You have to predict the future in a lot of ways. And, you know, if you were to just start working on a product that,
you know, for today, like, it's not going to be viable tomorrow, so it is a very, very hard job.
And I guess, you know, after you're done with all the research of the product, then you actually
figure out, okay, like, here's what I'm going to make, here's what I got to do to make it happen,
you know, how long does it take from that point to actually bringing it to the market, you know,
Like when you actually, you know, tell Johnny, you know, hey Johnny, I want to make these new
crackens or these new core fans, like how long does it take for that to happen?
Yeah, I would say the general development timeline spans from anywhere from as short as
maybe happier, potentially on motherboards, because the turnaround on those are rather
quick all the way up to, you know, a year to a year and a half.
So the range typical is about a year.
So from the day we sort of locked in on a marketing requirement document,
which is what the PMs utilized to take the product into the next step with the development teams.
from that point on, usually, you know, hopefully within a year, we can, you know, be on the shelves or in mass production.
So a lot of stuff does happen in between.
But, yeah, the typical development cycle, I would say, yeah, anywhere from 9 to 12 months.
And this varies depending on the complexity of the product.
There's a lot of tooling involved.
There's a lot of extra design involved.
For Crack and Elite, it's actually quite difficult when you have hardware pieces that are the electronics.
You got the firmware that has to be built, and you have the software that has to be built on top of that.
So yeah, it could very well range from, you know, a year to, yeah, a couple of months following.
So, yeah, we try our best to deliver within a year, but that's not always the case.
It's a long time to bring a product to market.
And I think, you know, myself included a lot of times I don't really realize how long it takes.
Like, I only know, not only know, but like, I, I usually don't start working on a product that we launch until, like, it's already being made, you know?
Like, it's way after you guys have already spent a year or more working on it before I even, like, or being Mike even start thinking about, like, you know, how are we going to talk about this on social media?
You guys already put in a ton of effort, so kudos to you.
and thank you for what you do around here.
It's appreciated.
Without you and Mike,
we've got to get, you know,
people knowing about these products.
So, yeah.
You hear that,
you hear that Johnny,
Mike and I need commission on these things.
So I guess my next question for you guys,
since you've already answered,
you know,
what it is you do
and how long it takes to make this stuff happen.
Like, what advice would you give to someone
who wants to work in product marketing?
Like, what's the best way to learn about it
and the best way to actually get started
and get a job in this field?
Deanna, do you want to go?
And then I could chime in.
Yeah.
I really like product management,
So I would recommend it.
I think it's a very dynamic job.
And my advice would be that to learn about customer needs and marketing.
And as well, if you have an interest for a specific industry,
so learn about that industry, about the technicalities of that industry.
And also about go-to-market and product.
position in. In terms of quality for like, I'll say to keep curious and to be a team player,
I think that's very important because you work with a lot of people and from different areas and learn from them.
And so I think it's that's very important.
Yeah. I guess to add to that.
you know, as a product manager, you really have to be in the driving wheel, you know, of where your
program's sort of headed. So even though you have this, you know, idea behind the product,
how it, you know, how it would come into fruition or, you know, how it would ultimately, you know,
be when an end user picks it up, you know, there's a lot that happens in between.
and, you know, I'd say it takes a lot of passion.
And depending on whatever industry that, you know, you're curious and, you know, definitely have that passion for the product that you're building.
And I think that would, you know, help you, you know, a long way, I would say.
But, yeah, it does take working with a lot of teams.
thinking through and working on the problems that you're trying to solve together to make any product work.
Well, speaking of products, I guess a fun question that we, like, if you had to think about it, I guess we'll start with Kevin.
If you guys, since you guys are working with so many products so far, is there a product that you want NCXT to have in the future?
It's not, and you don't have to do it, you know, based on, like, limitations.
if you had to get rid of all limitations
and like your main goal would be this product
what product would you want
like would you want RAM, a graphics card, something like that?
That's a tough one.
I mean, there's, you know, everyday thinking about PC components,
you know, what else can we do?
Right?
It's, you know, I think when I look at the PC, you know,
as a platform for PC gaming.
Today we look at builds that we build out through BLD or build.
And ultimately, there are definitely parts
that remain not NZXC banded.
And graphics cards definitely nice,
but at the same time, it's a complex,
complex market to get into.
Don't worry.
Mike and I already launched one of those on April Fool's Day.
Yeah, I mean, and, and, you know, it, well, a lot of it comes from, you know,
back end understanding and, and, you know, whether you know, the company is ready to, to get
into it.
So, yeah, that there's a lot happening.
but if there were no barriers
I don't know I think a handheld device
might not be through that
we launched that last year too already
for a day
so I think you should just launch all the stupid things
yeah I don't know if we
yeah I don't know if we'll get into toasters
so
all right there we go
how about you Diana
So for the cooling line, if there were no restrictions, I'll say for the DPU.
I think there's a need in the market for better cooling for DPU.
And it's quite hard because we have so many different graphic cards.
So there is a lot of constraints, but yeah, that could be a product.
Matt, Matt B underscore 1 has a million dollar idea.
RGB color changing charging cables.
There you go.
Thank you, Matt, Matt B.
We're gonna steal that idea.
Make a million dollars.
And we'll get commission off this one.
We get commission on this one.
We do have some community questions for you guys,
or you guy and gal here.
And we also have some funny rapid fire questions you want to ask you before we wrap things up.
So for the community questions, Delta Aspect asks, what is your favorite NZXT product?
Diana.
The cracking leaf.
It was just easy.
Yeah.
How about you, Kevin?
I have to say any of our latest motherboards
because when you put our motherboards into any build
it sort of just cleans it right up
and I guess here at NZXC we're a fan of
you know the details right
and when when you have a motherboard that's there
it you know it's got the details
and, you know, it sets itself apart and sets itself up as a sort of blank canvas for all your other parts and components.
And speaking of motherboards, Targa, Ryan, TTV is asking right now, when will the motherboards and coolers be back in stock?
There's two ways to do this.
So the first way is to just sign up for the email alerts on the website and we will notify you when they come back in stock.
or you can go to nzxc.com slash retailers and find another store near you.
I know for sure the coolers are in stock right now on Newegg and the motherboards are in stock on Amazon.
So you don't have to always buy from nzdxc.com, although we do appreciate it.
If you want to buy your product elsewhere, you're more than welcome to nzxc.com slash retailers.
Tasnims Corner asked
Would you guys say the duo or the core fans look fuller
in terms of overall RGB lighting?
What do you think, Diana?
I think it depends on your preference,
but in also the case you are using.
If you're using an H-9,
I think that the RGB duo will look better,
there because it has more yeah you can you can really show up the product um and in in terms of
LEDs uh we have differences for instance the RGB dual has 20 LEDs and the the
the RGB core has eight LEDs so but because of the diffusion of the light is different so yeah
both of them are very colorful uh fans okay
Judah 420
will there ever be a crack in series AIO
that uses the RGB duo fans?
I mean, that's a tough one.
Yeah, damn it.
Well.
It seems kind of weird, like,
like to have the duo fans on a radiator, though,
because you wouldn't really...
But it can be used.
You can be used.
And, yeah, you can...
You can, when we designed the RGB dual, actually, we thought on that as well.
So user can swap the RDB core and use the RGB dual for cooling.
Yeah, without adding an additional controller.
But, yeah, I mean, you can.
You could certainly swap, you know, your radiator fans to anything that you want to put on there today.
to launch with the fans itself, I think it comes back to price point.
And can we make that package work, you know,
bundled together and still be compelling and competitive?
So, yeah, that's a pretty tough one.
Marichun asked, are you guys ever going to release more monitors?
we'd have to ping the monitor PM on that one.
Well, I can answer this one.
Melody, she's been on the podcast before.
I'll speak on her behalf.
Well, you know, we can't confirm or deny anything that may or may not happen.
But I can say that NZXT is always working on new products and always trying to make them better.
And every single product that, for the most part,
every single product that's on our website, you know, there's been multiple versions of it.
So I wouldn't be shocked and it wouldn't blow my mind if NZXT made more monitors.
Same follow-up question I guess here from Delta Aspect is asking, when you guys ever make RAM?
And we actually are going to release one on April 1st next year.
So stay tuned for that one.
Judah 420.
As a question, I think this one's for you, Kevin.
Will there ever be a budget B-760 board in the future?
I think in terms of determining what chipset to build on,
it's always a challenge.
When you have a limited number of motherboards you could do every generation,
picking that chip set,
impacts the success and failure of that entire motherboard line.
And to do something that's entirely focused on the budget,
I guess, price spans, it's, it comes with challenges, right,
because there's definitely going to be motherboards that's utilizing cheaper chips,
chipsets that
aim at a much lower price
band and we can never compete
with that. So
I think that's
likely
not on
the Intel B-760s.
But
ultimately,
in terms of where our
motherboard
lineup
is we
really try to make sure
our
motherboards can, you know, accommodate, you know, the latest CPUs and the highest performing of any generation.
And with that on the Intel side, Z is the chip set to choose.
But, you know, that's not to say that we will only choose Z.
You know, if, you know, gaming-wise, you're not doing overclocking.
There's definitely room, you know, in the future.
if, yeah, if our motherboard continues to succeed.
So, yeah, it's, you know, it ultimately depends on, you know,
what the community needs.
And, you know, if it's, if it is a B-760 and it suffices, you know,
their everyday needs for their build, you know, chances are that's what we'll look into.
So the answer was maybe.
Got it.
All right. That wraps it up for the community questions here. Before we wrap up the podcast, it's time for my favorite part of the whole show, which is when Mike is going to ask each of you some really dumb questions, and you have to answer as fast as possible without thinking about it too much. Okay. So let's start with you, Diana. Go ahead, Mike.
All right. So it's going to be Deanna, then Kevin. All right. So first question, do you guys have your own Netflix account or do you use someone else's?
I do have my own.
You do have your own.
Okay, so you won't have any issues, Kevin?
Uh-oh.
No, I do not.
Uh-oh, Kevin, you're in trouble.
You're going to pay a nice little subscription soon.
He's not yet, yeah.
Not yet.
Deanna, what is your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure.
Listen reggaeton music?
Oh, bad bunny.
Who's your first?
Who's your pair of artist?
So according to my Spotify, but Bonnie was the singer I listened last year.
Yeah.
That's a very guilty pleasure because I don't consider it's that good.
But yeah.
I like that.
Kevin, what about your guilty pleasure?
I don't know.
Just listening to K-pop count?
Ooh, who's your favorite?
Who's your favorite group?
I don't know
Maybe black pink
Good answer
Good favorite
Favorite member
Oh not I guess that
I think is good
Who's your favorite member Kevin
Oh
Probably Lisa
Yeah that's good
Good answer as well
Let's see
Deanna
Favorite game
As of now
So right now
I'm playing
the Howard's legacy.
So far, I like it.
I saw their April Fool's thing of their cat was able to, like, reflect all spells back at you,
and it would just kill you instantly with Vakadava.
So that was awesome.
Kevin, how about your favorite game?
As of now?
As of now.
You know, it's been a while since I've, you know, played any games, but, you know,
But in recent months, I kind of went back to Bauheim briefly with a few friends.
But I wouldn't say that's like a favorite.
I did enjoy V Rising for some time.
So that one was pretty good for a couple of months at least.
And then Deanna, what is your favorite game of all time?
Full time.
Martyr Bros.
A specific one?
A specific of the Mario War?
Yeah.
Okay. Gotcha.
And Kevin, how about all time?
Favorite game?
All time.
I don't know.
I've played way too many games throughout.
Yeah, it's so hard to choose.
But I think any of the Zelda games back when it was on N64 and they first made a 3D.
So maybe the, what is it, the Orchraneab time or one of the ones that were launched then.
Have you been playing the new Tuesday Kingdom?
No, so I haven't picked up Switch.
I'm a pure PC guy now.
So, but yeah, maybe one day, yeah.
My roommate's playing that one.
It's pretty good.
There's a really,
really popular
Switch emulator, which I won't
say the name, but you can Google it.
And if you own
the game, you can
legally emulate the game on your PC
and it runs in 4K at
60 FPS.
Wow. No excuses, Kevin.
Ivan.
because he doesn't like breath in a wild or tears out of kingdom.
Yeah.
Just too much walking for me.
Okay.
Okay.
Got a couple questions left.
Deanna, what was your last impulse of purchase?
Purchase.
Unused for us.
Yeah.
I like it.
Kevin, what was your last impulse purchase?
Gosh.
I mean, lately I just,
been, you know, just
moved back to the state, so
there hasn't really been
much purchases on Impulse, because
everything's sort of like a necessity.
I don't know.
Solar panels.
Yeah, that is
definitely coming up.
Yeah, solar panels.
I wouldn't say that.
I kind of like this one.
Deanna, favorite candy from
Dayon in chat.
Favorite what?
Favorite candy.
Candy.
I really like the
Haribo.
The
Carribo.
Yeah.
No, no cook flavor.
No.
The gummy.
Yeah.
Gotcha.
Kevin?
Favorite candy?
Yeah.
I have to say gummy bears
as well.
Really?
Yeah.
I've actually
met people that would do gummy bears as like their very kid it's always like chocolate or
something like that or like like swedish fish or you know something something like that i never had
gummy bears before actually sour what is it sour patch kids those are pretty good oh sour patches oh
yeah okay yeah never mind that that makes sense i can eat that entire bike yeah and we have this the
smallest one now like the old piece it's like a little like i have like five liter bikes but i can
I'd be one with that.
I think it's, I can't stop.
I think gummy bears is an acceptable answer.
That's a pretty good answer.
I can't go wrong with those.
Yes.
Just put gummy bears in the fridge.
Wait, Harley, chocolate covered gummy bears?
What?
Yeah, that doesn't sound very easy.
That doesn't sound good.
Chocolate covered?
I don't know about that, Harley.
I don't know about that.
Okay.
And then for the final question.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Dianna?
Probably one of the Taylor's three.
Yeah.
Okay.
Respect.
All right.
All right.
Sing it right now.
Mike, play the beat.
Have you played a table of soap concerts?
No, no, I have it.
Gotcha.
Yeah, it's like buying the ticket in Taiwan, you had to be very fast.
Because it's like, for instance, last week, they announced cold play for November.
It is like half hour and everything was gone.
So you had to be very fast by it.
Otherwise, you cannot get it.
How about you, Kevin?
What's your go-to karaoke song?
You got to.
It's like, hey, karaoke, you're going up there right now.
You got to sing it.
I actually don't.
I mean, I do sing at karaoke.
but it's like probably some Mandarin song.
When you come visit the office in a couple weeks,
we're going to go to karaoke,
and I'm going to force you to sing some black pink,
and I will stream it on this podcast.
Deal?
I have to learn Korea in first.
By the way, Mike, I googled chocolate-covered gummy bears,
and they exist.
They are real.
So now we have to try them.
They don't sound very good, but I'm willing to try anything twice.
You know, they have this, like, jelly candy in Taiwan that's covered with chocolate, and it's actually pretty good.
So I'd imagine it to taste somewhat the same.
Jelly candy.
Jelly covered.
It's like it's gummy.
It's a gummy candy that is covered with chocolate.
This reminds me of, like, mint and chip.
ice cream where it's like
it tastes like you're eating
chocolate after brushing your teeth.
I don't know. I don't know.
Do you not like midship?
No, I do not.
I like me too.
What about thin mint?
Pretty good.
Thin mint.
Yeah, I've had
too much
mint ice cream when I was
young and I kind of grew
over that taste.
So yeah, I can't do any like minty stuff with chocolate.
Yeah.
Doesn't it taste like you're brushing your teeth and eating chocolate at the same time?
It does.
That's what I think about when I'm eating that stuff.
I don't know how to feel about that.
So I'm saying thinnints aren't good.
I'm a little, that hurts.
All right.
I think that's it for all the community question or for a rapid fire questions.
Before we go to announcements, Deanna Kevin, do you guys have any announcements you guys want to say or say to the audience or anything like that?
Now, just check our website and the new products and I hope we'll help you like it.
And we are always listening to you guys and about what things we should improve and what things you like to see next in our products.
Yeah, and definitely be making feedbacks.
out.
Ivan's really proactive on that and, you know, he makes sure the product team, you know,
is made aware.
And, you know, we, we constantly, you know, work internally to, you know, see through some
of these and follow up.
So, you know, it's great that I think we have this platform to, you know, engage with our
community and, yeah, definitely, you know, come, come listen in when you guys have time.
Awesome.
Well, I guess first I'll go into the,
a quick couple of announcements that we have.

I can get out of his office.
I think you liked me in here, man.
All the lights are off, so I hope you didn't lock me in here.
Yeah, I saw the lights turn off and my, oh, God.

The code is What's Cracken?
I wish I'd do some sort of pun with these codes.
It's W-A-T-S-K-A-R-K-E-N.
What's Crackin?
I've been doing a lot of Crackin puns.
I got 10 tickles.
What was the other one?
Release the Cracket.
And now this one,
this is in honor of Ivan's tweet of What's Cracken.
So I kind of had to do it.
