So stick around to the end.
You don't want to miss it.
And without further ado, I already said her name.
So welcome Smashley to the NZXE podcast.
How are you?
Hi, I'm doing good.
Thank you for having me.
Of course, of course.
For those who don't know who Smashley is,
please tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do.
Oh, well, I am a Twitch broadcaster, game dev, voice actress,
and shoe collector, fitness, extraordinary.
I don't know, there's a lot of things that are used to describe me.
Pilot.
I don't know
it's a lot
yeah you do a million things
but the one thing I think that
bonds us is video games
right oh yes
yeah so how long you've been playing
video games I have been playing video games
since Atari
okay like a really
long time a really really long time
I first owned an
NES so I've been playing video games
for a really long time
and how long are you been streaming
I am coming up on eight years of being partnered and almost nine years streaming.
Nine years streaming in December.
So actually, today, I believe, is my eight-year partner.
No, tomorrow.
Tomorrow is my eight-year partner anniversary.
Wow.
Eight years ago.
Eight years ago.
That's a really long time.
And I guess, you know, what got you into streaming in the first place?
because that's a really long time to stick around with it is it is um i actually got started streaming
um because um my brothers got tired of me beating them in video games so so i uh i decided to start
streaming um because uh i wanted to find a honestly a bunch of people i could play video games with
more uh and ended up building this incredible community uh that we have here on twitch the
incredibly giving community by the way don't let them fool you they're way too giving um but
But yeah, I ended up building this really, really great community.
And now, now we have way too many people to play with.
I see all the tapaholics in the chat.
They love the tap about so much, man.
Like, that's all they do.
They just tap nonstop all the time.
My chat is just constantly filled with Ashley Tap.
So speaking of like Ashley and Smashley, like what was the reasoning behind the name, Smashley?
I like smashing things.
Like hammers are such an underutilized weapon.
It's straight up because of hammers.
But it's such an underutilized weapon, especially in video games.
It's always like the worst weapon, right?
Like it's like, you know, use like every game uses swords and stuff.
And so I want one that like focuses on hammers, please.
But I really like smashing things.
especially because if you're thinking about
medieval combat, you get hit by a sword
you can maybe you maybe shrug
that off maybe but you get hit by a giant
hammer you're not walking away from
that. I guess I never really thought about a hammer
as a weapon but you're right. Like I think
if I was like in the street fight
and the person had a hammer
I'd probably even more scared of that than if they had
like you know
like an axe or something. Yeah.
Hammer is pretty scary now that I think about it.
Terrifying, dude. It's terrifying.
So I see a lot of people here the community are here to, you know, watch your interview and everything.
But like, do you have anything you guys, you call the community members or?
I call them some things that I can't say on this podcast because I curse on my community members way too much.
But, but officially they're called the smashers.
That's what they're officially called.
They're all going to laugh at this because they know I'm talking.
talking about. Yeah. Do you see? They're all they're all D-Gens. I know I know you you call them
the smashers and I know you you love hammers and we also know that you have like a plushy hammer.
I do. It's actually like right behind me. Yeah. How in the world did you come up with that?
Um, okay. So that's actually, uh, that's a, that's a hammer design. Um, and in my first year of
streaming, uh, actually first couple months of streaming.
there was a member of my community that just out of the blue made fan art of me as I was playing a lot of war frame at the time.
And they made fan art of me of my favorite war frame at the time, which was Nova holding this giant like like like, like, all those iridescent hammer thing.
And honestly, it was just, it was like the first like big like gesture I had a community.
member do for me besides like getting my dining room table, which I still have back here,
which is amazing.
But it was like the first like artwork I had somebody ever do just out of the blue for me.
And it was so cool.
It was so, so cool.
I loved it.
And so we kind of just took it from there and kept like integrating it into our like branding
and the theme and our logos and everything.
And somehow it became this.
And we finalized the actual like S circle.
logo a while back and
it's just kind of evolved into
that and so now we have this little
plushy hammer. There's like 250
of those little plushy hammers running
around out there. And a lot of them are at
St. Jude's Children's Hospital actually. I think we ended up sending
40 or so
to the kids at St. Jude. I'm
still trying to get them to send me some pictures
at least for me so I can see
because they don't like to release pictures of the kids
but I would love to see them playing
with the hammers. Yeah, I love
that the idea of the hammer plushy and I also love that you know you gave a bunch to St. Drew's.
I did see you raised some money for them recently, which awesome.
A lot, dude. We raised so much. I still can't believe this community. When I said they were giving,
in the month of May, we raised $62,000 for St. Dew's Children's Hospital, which is just incredible.
And also a lot of that was with you guys' help. You guys helped out a lot there.
You guys helped with two really, really cool case giveaways, including like a mass effect one and a cyberpunk case giveaway, which were huge hits.
So, yeah, it was really, really awesome.
Yeah, we've donated to St. Jude before, and it's an awesome, awesome charity.
I'm glad that we were able to help you out and super proud that an NZXT partner raised that much money because that is a lot of money.
It is.
That's so much.
I was not expecting that.
It just goes to show, like, how much your community supports you.
and that's awesome.
Yeah, very, very cool.
So I guess besides streaming, besides playing video games, besides, you know, smashing things with hammers, what do you like to do?
I, as I mentioned before, I also work out a lot.
I'm really big into fitness recently.
About a little over a year ago, actually 416 days ago.
Exactly. I started working out as a as a point of like, man, I'm going to get in shape. I want to, I want to like look better because I actually I spent some time. I lost like 80 pounds. I was over. And I started the keto diet and I lost all this weight. And I was expecting like after I lost the weight that like, man, I'm going to be happy with how things like. And I wasn't. I was like, now I'm just skinny.
It's like, no, I don't really feel fit.
Like, I lost all this weight.
And so, like I said, about 416 days ago, I started working out.
And I started working out every single day.
And it started as just like me spending an hour to improve myself every single day.
And that turned end up being working out.
And then ultimately yoga, which I ended up really enjoying and very much enjoy now.
now. And it basically became this thing where I was starting to do it every single day. And at first, I was just going for like, like at first a month. And then and then it was like 90 days because those 90 day challenges. And then after that I was like, well, I'm now committed. And I was like, let's go for let's go for six months. And then suddenly we're at 416 days of working out every single day. And even through some crazy stuff like I sprained my,
pinky toe at one point um and i still worked out that day uh got some really bad sunburn
threw up my back one day like there was i still was like still did something every single day
um and i feel really by this point i feel really proud of 416 days in a row
amazing it is amazing how many days in a row have you worked out mike uh
Two?
Too?
Come on, dude.
Well, I do, I do, I do, uh, upper lower split.
So I do upper lower, uh, rest, upper lower, uh, rest and upper lower.
I just keep, I just keep doing that.
So I usually, I, I only do two in a row and then I'm like, I got to have a rest day.
That's fair.
And technically for my workouts, I do like two days on where I do the same exercises both
days in a row and basically completely destroy those muscles by the second day.
And then the third day, my workout is.
technically yoga, which is my rest day because I'm not really doing intense or calisthenics yoga.
I'm doing more like flexibility training. And so while it's still quote working out, it's not,
it's still allowing my muscles to rest and recover and and grow while also like also basically
working on something else that's like physically active. And and the amount that that's helped
and improved my flexibility like is insane. Like I was never.
never flexible back in the day.
And now,
now I accurately can be described as flexible,
which is kind of awesome.
Yeah,
I've tried yoga before, too, and it's really, really hard.
It is.
The first time I was doing it, it was like,
people are expected to fit in these positions.
I don't understand.
How does this work?
I will slow.
You know, what's interesting, too, about that is
I have two little girls,
and I see how flexible they are.
And it makes me think, man, like, yeah,
Like we as humans, we're actually designed to be pretty flexible.
But I think over time, what happens is you just stop moving, stop exercising, stop, you
know, like getting in those positions that your body just adapts to whatever it is that
you throw at it.
And but I, you know, I see my, I have a one-year-old daughter and I see her like, she'll
do like these positions on the floor where like her neck is like under her legs and her legs
So like over her head, I'm just like, wow, like humans are actually designed to move a lot.
So that's awesome.
Besides yoga, what are you doing exactly for your workouts?
For my workouts?
I do the same eight exercises every day.
What are they?
For that.
So it's kind of changed over time.
I've tried to keep it around eight exercises.
And I alternate between glute exercises and ab exercises.
And so I'll do like at this point I I start with sumo squats which I use this giant 50 pound weight behind me now which I need actually bigger weight for that and I start with summa squats and then I go to crunches and I do about 120 crunches.
What's insane to me? Yeah, because when I started I could barely do like 30 and do about 120 crunches and
in a row and then and then I do cast glue bridges which um at first I didn't even know what those were
so so now doing it's kind of the thing where you use like a chair or something and put your back
against it and do a glue bridge that way and I also use the 50 pound weight for that which is crazy
and then I do um I do sit-ups which when I first started working out I couldn't even do a setup
without like assistance like I had to have like a weight on my feet and they were my most hated
but I wanted to be able to do them, right? Like I literally could not do sit-ups and now I can do honestly untold number of since I haven't tried to see how many I can do in a row, but like I regularly do like 90
Which is kind of kind of nunny
and then I and then I'll do regular glue bridges and I'll do leg leg lifts and then I do and then I do fire hydrants and then end with crunches
again, I do another 100, 120 crunches.
I'm working out the sweat just listening to you right now.
You're basically doing the one punch man workout.
Yeah, yeah.
I first started watching One Punch after I started working out,
and it made me laugh so hard because I was like,
the only thing I'm not doing is the pushups, really.
It's like, man, man, maybe I should.
Maybe I just become that strong.
that's what I was thinking about as you were describing your workout.
I'm like, yeah, she's one punch man.
Yeah, yeah.
Soon I'm just going to punch things.
It just gets obliterated.
That's how it works, right?
Do you not believe in rest days?
Like, what made you actually just say, like,
I'm not going to take any days off.
I'm just going to go every single day?
Honestly, it was, it didn't start off like that way in a huge way.
Like I said, it was rest days.
but my rest days were yoga.
They were like, oh, I'm just going to stretch
because I should keep my muscles flexible.
And the stretching was like, basically,
I didn't realize at the time.
I was like, I'm doing yoga.
I didn't even know I was just stretching.
And then I was like, ooh, I should like research this.
And like half of doing fitness stuff is honestly research.
It's like figuring out like how can I like, honestly,
from from for the video gamers, which we're all,
we're on Twitch right now.
So we're all gamers.
It's like min-maxing your gains and your protein intake.
And also it's like min-maxing your stats and video games is like very similar to fitness.
And so it was researching all the different ways I can, you know, like make that better.
And so part of that was like, like said, I kind of started doing this like two days on, one day off routine.
And I've stuck with that the entire time.
It's done incredibly well for me.
but the one day off was a rest day because I do believe in rest days,
but it was still working out.
It's still yoga.
So I was like,
and so I started tracking it.
I started like going, yeah,
I guess I'm on day 30 now of continuously working out.
And then I was like,
the next thing I knew,
it was day 90 and then 180 and then a year.
And here we are.
It's so weird to be like 416 days.
That's a lot of times.
That's a lot of time.
You have a good.
You have like an end goal?
Or are you just going to keep going until you keep going?
I don't know.
I legit don't know.
Like, honestly, like, at this point, I don't know.
I don't know.
Part of me wants to move towards doing like one day of workout two days of yoga.
Because I do have, like, I guess more goals with yoga because now it's like, like, yo, I have, I have a six pack now.
like, what do I need to do more on my up?
Right?
But with yoga, I was like, I had a goal of getting to the splits.
I'm still not there because I, like I said, I was never flexible.
So it's taking me longer than some people who maybe were naturally flexible to get to that point.
But I am very, very slowly, but truly getting more flexible.
And so part of me wants to kind of double up on the yoga days instead to see, hey, how
faster, how much faster can I get myself there to those goals instead? And so it's more, I don't think
there's a major end goal, but definitely smaller goals in the meantime, right? So it's very much like,
right now my, my immediate goals are like my lower abs. So I'm spending a lot more time focusing
on like my leg lifts instead of my crunches, to be honest with you. Like I kind of just blow through
the crunches at this point because I'm like, I'm good on those. But I spend a lot
longer and doing them slower on my leg lifts because my lower abs suck.
I'm like, yeah, they're kind of there.
And so a lot of it has turned from getting fit into what I guess would be called body sculpting,
which is where you're honestly just very targeting certain muscles because you like want
them to be bigger or look better or more uniform or however you want to say it.
So yeah.
Pretty soon you're going to have an eight pack than a 12.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's gonna be like record of Ragnarok when they come out and they're like ready to fight and that dude has 20 abs. And I'm like, that's gonna be me. I'm gonna be 20 abs girl. It's gonna be great.
Just don't get it just don't get a keg like me. That's my that's my trouble area there.
Do you have like personal records on on your exercises? They do you keep track with those like you did with the second day?
I did for a bit. Um, so somewhere around.
Day like one, it was shortly after 1 8.
No, no, it was like 130-ish or so.
Somewhere on day 130, I started spreadsheet ink, like hard.
Like when I say I was min-maxing, I was min-maxing really bad.
And I think I still had that spreadsheet somewhere.
But I stopped using it because it honestly became, it became kind of tedious because
I was inputting the same data, day-end, day-out sort of thing.
But it was a very big driving factor towards getting like stronger.
but it also put so much focus on the number or like of either the weight or reps that I was doing as opposed to how much benefit I was getting out of that particular workout because there's a lot of times where and like I later learn this right at the time I wasn't there in my fitness journey yet but like I later learned that it's way more important to take some like really really really slowly and get a humongous benefit from one rep than doing like 10 reps.
just willy-nilly and doing the rep.
And so I kind of learned that later.
And it made my, what at the time was like a 45-minute workout because I was doing so many
reps really cut down the time to get the same benefit into now my workouts are about like 20
minutes, which is great.
I mean, 20 minutes a day is easy, right?
And so for a bit there I was tracking.
But that was also when I threw out my back
because I was doing regular squats at the time
and I
I was pushing the number I could do
like in a row.
And I did like 125 squats in a row.
Oh my God.
And I ended up like I was like those last few
by the time I got to them,
my form was really bad.
By the time I got to the last like 100 something.
And so my form was really bad.
And I ended up like messing up my back for a bit.
And so for like,
like two weeks I was like couldn't do any squats or other things around my back.
And and so after that I kind of was like maybe I shouldn't be going for a number of
perhaps. Maybe I should look at like other ways and I started doing more research. Like I said,
a lot of a lot of fitness is just research. How did you learn to like how to do it properly?
And like did you have any like people or resources that you recommend the people here that are
tried to get up to working out so much internet so much google man so so much youtube and
tic-tok uh like my entire tic-tok feed is like like workout stuff like it's workout and and
hair and makeup and and and lots of flying stuff and and video games too but but um but very much
the internet very much like like you have a question go google it or go go go ticot or youtube it and so
Like some of it was like how to do a proper sit-up or what are good ab exercises I can do that don't hurt my lower back because I just threw it out sort of thing.
So like there was like like I said, so much of fitness is literally just research.
It's just how much time you spend like researching.
So like for like I said, for a while there, it was just me spending an hour every day improving myself.
That was kind of how it started.
And so even when I was only spending 30 minutes working out,
I'd spend the other 30 minutes of that, like online going, okay, how can, like, what do I need to know to make this better?
Like, like, and that even got down to like, how much protein do I need in a day?
Like, what's, what's a good diet, like sort of thing?
Like, how can I make this better?
And, yeah, and ended up starting a fitness channel on my Discord, which, uh, there are, like,
you guys are amazing.
There's so many of you guys who post like every single day what you're doing as well.
and that's inspiring to me
and so many of you guys
are like you're inspiring and stuff
and so it's a lot of like
you know circle
inspiration if you will
I guess if you do end up using
Google for research purposes
just don't do what Mike does
and end up on page two
which is technically the dark web
yeah no
don't go to page two
weird stuff
I kind of actually want to go a little bit into
you talked about diet
and you talked about
You were on keto before and then you talked about that.
Do you have a diet right now that you're doing?
I kind of do a sort of dirty keto, if you will.
So I still do keto.
And that's mostly because, like, after all the research I did starting working out,
it's basically like I learned kind of the main reason why keto works is honestly
because you're getting more protein per calorie.
And so honestly, the highest, like the best thing I've found in all the,
research I did. It's just basically like finding foods or anything in your cabinet that is or
replacing the foods in your cabinet with stuff that is high in protein and lower in calorie,
especially like basically finding per protein per calorie stuff that's like really good is basically
stuff that's good for you, period, especially if you're working out. Like that's how you're going
to build muscle. And so over time, I just slowly started replacing all of the foods in my house with
stuff that fits that bill. And so whether or not it's like stuff I really enjoy.
eating, I'd find other stuff that I really enjoy eating, but also fits that category. So I have a lot of
protein bars, honestly, because I found really good tasting ones, like really good ones. But like beef
turkey is amazing. It's honestly incredible, especially if you get like sugar-free beef jerky.
I have so, I have like the Kodiak brand makes like oatmeal and muffins and all this other stuff.
That's basically like high in protein, low in calorie. And they all taste so good. And they all taste so good.
That was a really big thing for me was making sure that the foods I'm getting, I want to eat, right?
Like, like, I don't want to get stuff because it's healthy, just because it's healthy.
I want to eat that stuff.
But, like, but like one of the big staples for me, honestly, it's just meats and cheeses.
Like, I love meats and cheeses.
I am a sucker for, like, a good pepperoni.
So bad.
Like, I will eat meats and cheeses all day.
long if I can. Um, but, uh, so you'll, you'll see me eat a lot.
I have a good time walking by my fridge and like not getting, I'll always get like a slice of like
deli meat and I'll just wrap it in a slice of cheese.
Yes. Oh my God. Yes, dude. All the time. I'll eat that all day long for real.
For real. Yeah. And and believe it or not, that's healthy for you. Like that's what I mean. Like,
I think a lot of us are so conditioned that like like fat is bad or this is
bad and reality you just want stuff that's like lower in calorie high in protein so like high
protein yogurts are freaking incredible of course like protein shakes there's a reason why a lot of like
people who work out do protein shakes because it's literally like the best way like you can do
calorie per protein it's just a protein shake um so finding good tasting ones of those has been
really good too because i found a cheesecake flavored freaking uh milkshake mix and and it literally tastes
like cheesecake milkshake and I'm just like this is unbelievable I I I love cheesekings.
I guess it's all the diet stuff and with all the working out and the yoga and all that like
how do you like in your opinion like what do you define as being consistent because I mean you
work out every day pretty much and you eat healthy but like how would you define being consistent
I honestly that's been a big thing for me too as you ask like how did you do how
you do for like you asked like kind of like you don't believe in rest days how do you do 400 days
in a row and I think that's more like in a huge way I kind of like hacked myself um because I started
posting about it online and I started posting about every day online and when I started doing that
it basically put me in this oh sorry one of my lights cut up um it put me in this weird situation where I now
feel obligated to post and like make that next day. And so now like doing the post online has kept
me consistent. But I also know like like very especially from so much research that over anything
that you do, even if your workout is only like five minutes, literally five minutes,
doing it every single day or or having something that you do every single day and making it a
habit and making it a part of your life, like just a small portion of your life.
It's how you get results.
And so there's been so many days where I'm like, I really don't want to work out today.
Like, I don't want to.
Like, it's not the day.
I get so much stuff going on.
And like today was kind of one of those, right?
Like I had to wake up super early to get my workout in and everything else that's going on today.
But like, I squeezed in a 15 minute little workout.
I did it really fast.
But I felt so accomplished for getting that done because I know that like, hey, I did it one
more day. That's it's one percent better today than I was yesterday. So that's awesome.
I think I think it's just making it a part of your life. Yeah. And I guess like even if you don't
work out, you know, the sun's going to come up and the moon's going to come up later too. The day's
going to pass by. Then the week's going to pass by. Right. You know, and it's just like I haven't
worked out in three months. Yeah, exactly. And so I think for me, it's it's very much been like,
I need to do this every day. Because if I stop,
if I like break it break that streak that I'm gonna give myself excuses to keep breaking the streak and so right now like the the streak itself has kept me consistent
that's awesome your your thing is actually remind me of there's this uh I think it's like Navy SEAL guy
and he talks about consistency um because your your thing is exactly like what he said which was uh it was about making your bed
because you know some people were like I'll go back to it but you just make your bed you're like okay I'll do it and then you did it yesterday
I'll do it a day.
Okay, I did it for a couple days.
I might as well finish the week off.
Well, I did it for a week.
I could do it for two.
Two weeks.
I can do it for another month.
And you just keep going.
And it's just that snowball effect of like, well, I did it before.
I could do it now.
So in Rowley, all you had to do just start.
That also brings me to a thing that I tell a lot of people who come to me for advice about fitness stuff is like most every, like almost every single person that's come to me for advice.
they always come to me and go, how do you find the motivation?
And they use the word motivation.
And you'll see me like kind of like get a little antsy about that word because in my
discord we kind of shun the word motivation because because it's only ever used as an
excuse to not do something.
It's never ever used as a thing going, I have.
the motivation today to do this because it was never motivation that got you there.
And no one ever says that at the end of a workout.
It's always just used as like, I don't have the motivation to work out today.
And so, so we kind of shun that word because it's only ever used negatively, really,
uh, and like in a real situation and kind of point out to people that like,
hey, by the time you're on day four, right, you have now developed a very small habit.
And you've also developed what.
people don't have which is discipline even after four days you now have discipline
and discipline is way better than motivation because discipline is there every
single day so we're we literally constantly are like discipline over motivation
constantly like tell each other that I never thought about that but you're
absolutely right I'm gonna I'm gonna add that to my list of band words now
too is the word motivation it's really it's only ever used negatively like
you could use it possibly but no one ever does right no one gets done with something and going yeah i had
the motivation to do that no it's like no i freaking just did it like it's like when people say it wasn't
because of motivation it's kind of also true like when people say like they don't have time to do something
yeah and then you think about it like we all have the same amount of time we all have the same amount of
hours in the day it just it just depends on how you yourself want to use up that time to fill up your day right so
very much so yeah we all have to have to
time and I do see a lot of comments in here.
I've seen several comments in the chat.
People saying like, you know, they can't work out.
They don't like working out.
They can't imagine doing 120 crunches.
I couldn't either when I started.
That's the thing too.
It's like, you will surprise yourself, right?
Like, I could not do 120 crunches when I first started.
I couldn't do a single setup when I first started.
I legitimately could not do a single set up like when I first started.
And now I can do like,
Like, I could probably, literally, if I tried, could probably do 200 sit-ups in a row if I really wanted to.
Like, I legitimately could.
I probably need to go.
Like, I probably need to actually attend that and see if I can't.
But when I first started, I couldn't.
And you're probably like, well, that's because you're on day 400.
But literally by the, I want to say by the time I was on day 90, which was by the time I saw like the biggest physical change, I could do, I think I was up to like four.
set-ups in a row by that point by by 30 days in what advice would you give
someone who wants to work out but you know is scared or doesn't know where to start
it doesn't hurt to ask questions there's about a million people who want to
answer them I'm one of them if I have the time I wanted them and the other thing
is is like I didn't know where I was starting either and that's why that's why I
said before like half of fitness is is your research. If you have questions, the internet
literally can answer like all of them. And if you have questions after that or you just want
somebody to like really hit you with like the dirty of it. Like said, like we have a discord. I have a
discord. If you guys want to come ask, it's really awesome. I think it's discord. g.g slash smashly.
and that way
if you guys really do have questions you can
ask good way. That's great advice
and I really
we're not trying to turn this into like a fitness podcast
but no no you're fine I know you guys
said before we had started that you guys are
fitness nerds too so I love talking
I don't get to talk about it a lot on
stream because most of my stream
is video game stuff
yeah so that's the thing is like me and Mike
we both love working out and I
feel like we probably talk more about working
out than we do video games or
anything else because and I think it's important because as gamers right as people who
work in social media we're literally sitting on our butts all day at night
and if we don't wake up early to work out or if we don't make time to get up
and move around or or go out of our way to like actually try and eat healthy
it's very easy to fall into a routine of just bad habits where you're eating
being like crap, you're super lazy, you become unmotivated, and before you know it, you're
just like, oh wow, I got to do something about this. So that's, you know, that's the reason why
we have so many fitness questions for you, because we do think it's actually like, it's important
to raise awareness for gamers, I think, to, you know, it's okay to work out. Like, it's not,
like, you're not going to turn into a jaco, weirdo or anything like that. It's just, it should
be part of everyone's routine, I think, if you're at a computer or just, just, just, you're
gaming or streaming all day, right?
Yeah.
And I actually like way back in the day when I was trying to lose a lot of weight back when I was doing keto.
I didn't know what I was doing then either.
But I started occasionally doing workout warframe.
I was playing so much warframe.
And I was doing workout warframe, which was this little like segment that I started doing
occasionally.
And I wasn't doing it often enough to get benefit from it.
I didn't know at the time that, right?
I was basically doing it like once every two weeks maybe, right?
But what we would do is like every time I completed a mission, I would do 20 of a given workout, like whatever, whether that was like squats or or I couldn't do setups then.
But like it was it was mostly like squats or crunches or something along those lines or lunges.
And I think that was one of them.
And I would do that every single time we completed a mission, which was like pretty much like on like a 10, 20 minute schedule.
And so by the end of a stream, though, I would end up doing like 200 squats or something.
They were spaced out over over periods.
But like I can also be like, yeah, I was at least getting up moving and doing something between working, between playing games.
So you actually gamified playing video games.
I did.
I did.
And I still, I still, I still gamify my fitness.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, I absolutely gamify my fitness.
Like for a while there was like, can I beat my.
previous best of how many reps I've done here like it was the spreadsheet that I had
going for a bit was very intense it was it was massive nice and you know we can spend
all day talking about fitness but I do want to move on to another topic now you
know like one of the things I noticed when you post your post workout pick every day
because you do this every single day on social media you're like just worked out
And it's just like, man, like she's like on a mission.
She does not stop.
But the one thing I notice every time you post those pictures is you have roughly 6,000 pairs of shoes in the background.
I'll zoom in on them sometimes.
And I'm just like, how does she A put these on and B even walk around?
And I can't imagine anyone even like, you know, moving around in these shoes.
How many pairs of shoes do you actually have in your collection?
A lot.
So I've lost count.
It is a collection before anybody is like,
yo, that's way too many shoes.
I know it's way too many shoes.
It's a collection.
But I think I own over 200 pairs of shoes.
Definitely over 200 pairs of high heels.
It's a lot.
It's a lot.
And the crazy part is,
It started off like it's not as expensive as everybody thinks.
I think is because most people are like, wow, that's got to be thousands of dollars worth of shoes.
And definitely was not that way like a couple years ago, honestly.
Um, there's all my shoes.
Um, so I think at this point, like that's over about 200 pairs, but it started off in college.
And I kept finding these deals online where it's like a five to $10 for a pair of heels.
and in my size and I'd be like
and I'd be like
I can't not buy them
for like five bucks
especially like some of them had free shipping
and stuff it was legitimately like
six dollars or something
and so it started off just buying like
really cheap pairs of heels that I would find
online and especially
when you're like all right I'm going to buy myself
a bunch and to save money on shipping
sometimes I'd buy like four or five pairs
and some of them wouldn't fit
because you're buying online, right?
But at that point, you're like, oh, well, I'm out $5.
You know what I mean?
And so, so some of them just became decorations because I can't fit my feet in them.
They're too small or too big or something like that.
And so they just became decorations.
But like next thing I knew, I had 50 pairs of shoes.
And I was like, this is a lot.
And so then I started like, if you guys want to see like above me over here, I
I started displaying them on shelves and stuff.
And it kind of became like decoration for my place.
And.
And then the next thing I know, I just kept getting more and more and more.
And I, and even though I purge a bunch sometimes or I give them away to like my like cousins or or friends that wear the same size and stuff.
And it's still there's over 200 pairs.
It's a lot.
They're everywhere.
They're all along my bedroom.
floor.
They're all in my closet.
Like, it is so many shoes.
And the crazy part is up until a couple years ago, I didn't have any that were over $50.
None.
Like, they were all way cheaper than that.
But as streaming came in, chat was like, you need really cool heels and crazy ones.
And so there was, there's some custom shoe designers, by the way, out there that will design
like super crazy custom heels and stuff like that.
And so I found one that I really like.
And actually, one of the very first pairs of custom heels I got was these steampunk
Zeppelin ones.
And I actually, I do you guys are going to ask about it.
So I brought it over.
Oh, let's see.
So this is one of the craziest heels I own.
It actually has like a whole zeppelin on the back and has like little clocks and stuff
that these hands actually move, as you can see.
So these are crazy.
They're insane.
They're just really incredible.
But I'm terrified to wear these like out, you know, because they're intense.
You're like, how are you worn those out?
I have not because also they're really expensive too.
It's like I don't want to break them.
So I have other crazy ones like with.
I would love it.
Try those on just to see if I can walk in those.
Just try them on. Oh, my God.
I'm curious. Like, I don't know.
Do you think you can walk in those, Mike?
Oh, he's muted.
Oops, sorry.
I can barely walk in heels in general.
Like, I'm pretty uncoordinated in general.
So, like, you put me in anything other than, like, sneakers?
Oh, God, I'm falling over.
Have you ever measured how tall you are wearing heels?
Um, well, I'm five, seven and a half.
So it depends on the heel, honestly.
but most of the time around six feet in heels, which is really funny because I wear them all the time.
So at cons and stuff, and when I meet people in person, they constantly think that I'm really tall.
They're like, oh, it's actually super tall and like she's so tall.
And then I will like, the moment they say that, I'll be like, no, not really.
And I'll take off my heels and just stand flat footed next to them for a second.
Then I'd be like, what the hell just happened?
And then like, you just shrunk so much.
And it's like, yeah, I'm really not that tall.
It's not that bad.
I have a great idea.
You should start doing workout streams in heels.
Oh, God.
Imagine that.
Imagine doing like some yoga poses with like.
Okay, see, I could.
I could.
But then also Twitch might be that's TOS.
They might get mad at me for that.
They're like, I don't know.
The heels kind of take it to a different level there.
But yeah, no.
Yoga I could do in heels.
I don't know about sumo squats in heels.
That might actually break an ankle somewhere.
It probably would.
So I guess we'll go on to...
So you like working out, your streamer,
but you also, before we were on the call when we were testing audio,
you said that you had like five different types of jobs.
So what in the main ones is that you're also a game developer, right?
So like, I am.
How did you get into that?
What do you do?
What's a company?
everything. Sure. Um, I work for Animal Labs, uh, and I'm working on a game called
Raman R-A-W-M-E-N. It's a play on words for the food ramen. Um, because our,
our game is a third person food-fighting shooter. Uh, so it's literally, it's, it's a shooter game,
but all of the weapons and everything in it are food. Everything's food. Um, so hence the
play on words for ramen. And, um, and I got hired by them as
a optimization specialist.
So I actually got hired to help optimize their game and then work on shader code, which I was
honestly learning at the time.
But I kind of basically handle, I do shader updates, optimization, and AI programming for
Raman, which is really cool.
I love doing it.
It's so cool.
And I can't believe I'm actually making a game.
like with Tiny Build is publishing it and I'm like, what?
Right?
And so the really interesting thing is I got hired because at the time,
it was a really small indie team working on this game that was a passion project theirs.
And one of the artists, the like one of the level designers, he's done, like the lead artist,
watches my show.
And at the time, I was making my own game on Twitch.
I was programming a chat interactive pirate ship game through Unity.
I was just doing it live on Twitch because at the time I was just like, yeah, I might as well.
And so he came in and he saw what I was doing and I was talking about like different optimizations and stuff.
And you're like, oh my God, Smashley knows what she's talking about.
We should hire her.
And the next thing I know, I got an email.
asking me to come work for them.
And it was that was that was one of those like big life-changing moments where it's like this is this is your dream job.
This is what you imagined growing up because like I said, I grew up playing Atari.
Like getting to actually make games was like holy hell.
Because I learned how to program when I was 12.
My mom was one of those original computer program, you know, like with the punch cards and stuff that they had to
eat into the giant machines.
That was my mom.
And so she actually taught me how to program when I was 12.
So I've been programming for a really long time.
I went to college where I got a degree and applied math and computer science.
And then and so like, but making games had always been like outside of my wheelhouse.
And so it was one of those things where I was learning to make games for myself.
And I'm very much one of those like self-taught.
people. I will just go find resources and teach myself stuff. And so I was teaching myself how to make games and I was getting better at it and better and better and so much research. And like I said, I learned how to optimize things because my game was so unoptimized. It was so bad. And so I was learning how to optimize all this stuff. And they're like, man, smashing knows what she's talking about. Let's hire. And then they hired me and I took their game from like 40 FPS to like I think at the time it was like a hundred and ninety FPS.
It was a pretty big optimization in like three weeks.
I was like, here you go!
It's optimized now.
I did the thing that every gamer expects the devs to do,
just hit a button and optimize.
So not only are you fit, but you're also a genius.
Got it.
I don't know if I'd say I'm a genius.
When anyone says anything, like, yeah,
I got a degree in computer science and mathematical, whatever.
I'm just like, yeah, like, you're smart.
I get it.
You're definitely like superhuman when it comes to, you know, that sort of stuff.
That's it.
That's very impressive, actually.
Thank you.
How, like, have you worked on any other games besides Raaman?
Or is that like the first one?
Besides my own?
Nope.
The really interesting thing is I, oh, I guess I did a lot of modding, though.
I helped bring back Star Wars Galaxies as an emulator.
Love that.
And actually for about four months or so.
We made a custom Star Wars Galaxy server for the community.
And I was adding things to Star Wars Galaxy, so it was really fun.
Like, we started adding, like, additions to the professions and, and randomize stats on stuff and things.
And it was, it was so, that was a really, I almost want to do that again.
That was way too much fun of running our own Star Wars.
But it was a lot of work, too.
It was like, because I was, like, trying to add stuff while still playing because I was enjoying the game.
So it was a lot of work too.
And so I did a lot of modding.
I helped write the tools that people use for Mass Effect to mod it.
So ME3 Explorer.
I think I'm in the credits somewhere on that, but I helped write the tools for that.
And then, but outside of Animal Labs was my first time,
first time in a major industry town.
That's all cool.
I love that you said you worked on mods because to me, like, you know, the coolest thing about PC gaming, in my opinion, is like all the crazy shenanigans.
People end up modding in games.
Like, I love when I see, you know, people bring back like a fun game that, you know, no one supporting anymore.
They're just like, I'm going to mod this so they're an emulator or I'm going to add these levels and all that.
So that's super awesome that you did that.
Yeah, we actually just did some modded games the other night.
We were playing Cosmoteer, which is an amazing game, by the way.
It's a hidden gym, incredibly awesome, like little ship building, space ship building game.
And they had a mod on it to allow 32 players.
So we got like, I think we ended up with like 12 of us all playing this.
And it's only supposed to normally have four players for multiplayer.
And so we ended up like 12 of us playing this game the other night.
And it was such chaos and such fun.
It was way too much fun.
It's amazing.
Amazing.
And one of your other jobs that you also casually mentioned to us that blew our mind.
You said you're also a voice actress.
Yes.
So.
Please tell us like, what is a voice actress and what have you voice acted on?
Well, you'll hear my voice a lot in Raman for a couple different voices in Raman, which is really
interesting. I'm also in the game
on Metal. You can enter, I think, Smashley as a cheat
code and have a whole bunch of voices
replace with mine.
And
I also have helped do like two little
YouTube voices for
Star System content, which has been really cool.
And so
I really hope
like I kind of want to do more voice acting and stuff.
Oh, I also did
a
it was so much fun. I got to do
a
the monster voices
for
for a comic read through
and I'm trying to remember
Sweet Home was the name
of the comic and if you guys have seen it
like it's now a show on Netflix
by the way and I was reading
I did a
like a voice read through
with some other voice actors
and it was so much fun
because they were like,
let's have Smashly do all the monster noises.
And I,
can you make a monster noise for us now?
Right now?
Oh my God.
Well, they were really creepy and,
and like,
like scary,
scary monsters.
And so I did like,
I can't do it.
Oh, right?
Oh, right?
Like, it was,
it was really like,
I have to be in the mindset,
honestly,
but it was,
it was legitimately,
like,
they were like,
everybody in chat,
at the time too as we were doing it live
was like that is creepy as fuck
can you please stop
like it was really it was really
bad especially because I feel like
you need the visual aid too
to go with it I love the echo
yeah yeah
echo
but yeah I'll regularly do like
voices on my stream and stuff where I'm just like
yeah rider rider this is smashly
coming in requesting landing over
that's awesome I love that
well yeah
You gave us a huge rundown of everything you're into.
And I guess my last question for you, before we get into my favorite part of the show where Mike
asked you the rapid fire questions here is, you know, what advice do you have for people who
are tuning in right now for, you know, anyone that might want to become a streamer, might
want to get into fitness, might want to get into voice acting, might want to get into
developing video games, whatever it is, you know, like what advice would you give them?
Um, okay, well, if you want to be a streamer, the first thing I'll tell you is don't do it for the money.
Do not do it for the money.
Do you, if the idea of having 150 people at your house and you having to entertain them for four hours does not sound exciting to you, don't become a streamer, just to be honest with you.
Like, because that's essentially what you're going to be doing.
You're ultimately, you are entertaining.
like I said, just guessed me, 150 people like a packed house, an incredibly packed house,
and where everybody is there to see you, if that doesn't sound like amazing time to you,
then probably don't become a streamer.
Because that's really, like I said, that's what you're doing.
You're entertaining a whole room full of people.
And sometimes it's more than that.
And even being a small streamer, like, you still have to pretend or play.
as if you have that many people in your house.
As far as voice acting, do what I haven't done, which is make a voice reel.
Make a voice reel of all the different fun voices that you enjoy doing.
And don't be embarrassed by them like I always am.
And get it out there, honestly.
I had to make a small voice reel for ramen when I like auditioned for them.
And it really got rid of like this rust that is there that you're like terrified to do that.
And they're they get excited.
They want you to do those voices.
So make a voice reel.
Do that.
As far as game dev, I have no idea how to get in the industry.
I lucked into it.
And yeah, as far as fitness, just start.
Just start.
It's literally it's a sim.
I know everyone in this chat plays video games for 30 minutes a day.
Jesus Christ, I know you guys do.
At least 30 minutes a day.
I'm pretty sure you guys can sacrifice 30 minutes a game time.
time for 30 minutes of fitness.
30 minutes of improving yourself.
Don't you want to be a better you?
I'm going to hit you with the...
Hit you with the inspirational quote there.
Hold on.
I'm going to do some push-ups real quick.
That's good advice.
Thank you.
I hope that advice is heard and people use it to do anything that you're doing
because you're doing a lot and it's very impressive.
Thank you.
I'm very, very happy to have you as an NCCT partner.
I honestly, you guys have been incredible.
NCXT is very easily.
You guys have very easily been one of my best sponsors I've ever had.
And you guys do so much hyping up of me.
And, and like, honestly, y'all's products are incredible.
I love gaming.
I'm on an, I'm running a triple PC setup right now and two of them are you.
like.
What's the third one?
The third one was my old sponsor,
which was,
which was,
my brain is failing me right now.
Doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter.
Yeah, it doesn't matter.
Oh, yeah.
It had a really weird acronym.
Doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
But yeah,
I love you guys' products.
You guys have incredible cases.
And the build kits,
I think,
is one of the most fantastic ideas
to teach people like,
hey,
here's how easy it is
to build a computer, especially because nowadays, it's like Legos versus, you know, how it used to be,
where you have to, you know, like consult and instruction manuals and thermal paste.
Yeah, I always tell people, building a PC is just like Lego except not as expensive,
because those Lego sets are like $1,000 now.
Yeah, really?
I know, when do Lego become so expensive?
So expensive.
They're ridiculously expensive.
But it's awesome.
It's fun.
and then, yeah.
All right.
Time for rapid fire questions.
So this part of the show is where Mike is going to ask you a bunch of questions.
Some of them are going to be very random.
Some of them are not so random.
But just answer as quickly as possible.
And if you want to elaborate on anything, please do.
And without further ado, Mike, take it away.
All righty.
So for the first question, I already asked this.
But how does it feel to have the best birthday of all the year?
Like the only most the only like important day of the year.
It's the only it's the only good birthday, right?
It's June 7th.
Like everyone,
every other birthday is just a 364 wasted days.
Exactly.
Every day should just be June 7th.
Am I right?
Yeah,
I really should.
I actually had the best birthday I've ever had this year.
It was great.
It was incredible.
I went to the pool and streamed,
but the whole week was basically my birthday.
And a picture of me in a bikini went viral.
And it was,
that's not a boost to your self-confidence. I don't know what does.
How Star Citizen so far? I see that you're doing a 30V-30-30-30 coming up soon.
Yes. Okay. Star Citizen is great when it works. The 30-B-30 is a tank battle in Star System that we're doing on Saturday with some other broadcasters at 2 p.m. Eastern.
I'm super, super, super excited for it. And I think it's going to be hilarious and awesome at the same time.
And we're also giving away a whole bunch of stuff because Star Citizen is like, hey, here's more stuff to give away.
But yeah, Star Citizen when it works, it's, there's nothing like it when it works.
I'm really excited for this game.
I think, I think this is going to be the, this is going to be the contender for a game of the year.
If this, if this, it's just like, it works perfectly.
I think this will be easily.
If it works perfectly.
If it works perfectly.
That's the key.
It always happens like that for most games, though.
Uh, the next question.
Favorite yoga pose?
Pigeon pose.
Pigeon pose.
Because I could never do it when I first started.
Well, there you go, guys.
That's the only thing you'll need to know for yoga.
Only do pigeon pose.
Only do pigeon pose.
What has been your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
Oh, uh, that is a really close tie between, um, Sabre from Faisday Night or Lucy from
cyberpunk edge runners.
Lucy, I feel like I did the best on.
Sabre is my favorite anime character and doing the armor and everything was really cool.
But that woman was also a bit of a nightmare because the armor was falling apart in the middle of it.
And so I was like, the stream, it looked okay.
But like behind the scenes, there was like zippers like coming undone.
And it was it was kind of awful, but it looked great.
So I'm like, yeah.
Which, which fate, uh, season was your favorites?
Uh, stay night unlimited blade works.
Okay, that's a good.
That's good.
Yeah.
Was so, so good.
Although Demon Slayer
done by a UFO table or
Ufadable or however you say their name,
it's very quickly becoming my favorite anime now.
Because it's just so good.
Demonslayer so good.
Demon Slayer so good.
I mean, I haven't seen the newest one yet because I'm waiting, but like, I'm excited.
I know.
I actually, in this and go watch it.
I think I'm a keychain.
I have a demon slayer keychain.
So it's just like,
I'm ecstatic for it.
And speaking of which, top animas of all time, give me top three.
Oh, well, Demon Slayer.
Faced A Night, Unlimited Blame Works, and
honestly, I just have to say full metal alchemist Brotherhood.
It's just, it's a classic, it's really good.
It's exceptional.
I like it.
I like that.
A good answer.
I was going to make a meme about the dog thing, but I probably won't say that.
Yeah, please don't.
No, I'm going to make no.
It's still too soon.
No matter how many years have passed, it's still too soon.
I was going to say the correct answer was Corey in the House, Avatar the Last Airbender, and King of the Hill.
But your answers are still good.
King of the Hill.
I'm disappointed.
I have a, since you're also into Warford, because Warfurt, because Warfair,
is actually my most played game of all time.
What does your real weapon in Warframe and your favorite frame to use?
My favorite weapon is Sobeck because it has the most broken mod of acid rounds, which makes one enemy you kill turn into 200, if you will.
And what was it?
Sorry, what's your favorite frame that you use?
Nova.
Nova.
Nova.
Yeah, classic.
I still love the fact that you can speed up or slow down the enemies.
and she's got so much utility.
I love her.
What is your favorite game of all time?
Hmm.
Um, I still have to go with the Mass Effect trilogy.
I listed as one game, but I feel like I have to go with the Mass Effect trilogy.
Dang, okay, okay.
Dark Souls is very close behind, but.
Have you played?
Which one's your favorite?
Is it three, two, Eldred Wray?
For Mass Effect or?
Or Dark Souls.
One, actually, the original.
I have a world record in Dark Souls 1.
I also have a world record in Warframe.
You have a world record and speed running?
I do.
I do.
I have a world record in Dark Souls 1 for fastest time at Soul Level 1 max new game.
So Dark Souls caps out at New Game plus 7.
And so if you keep your character at Soul Level 1, you can just keep running
new games and I think somewhere around new game 32 or something I set a time of like one hour and 40 something
minutes at sole level one max new game and no one's beaten that because no one runs that anymore
no one does soul level one max new game it's it's far too punishing uh to me honestly so
we have we have fitness influencer streamer game developer voice actress I did
not an and add a world record in dark record speed runner uh yeah also have world records i think uh i think i think i still have the longest cova survival in war frame which is eight hours and like two minutes or something uh me and daniel the demon and some other uh two other people by the way which was really awesome that was that was a fun night uh we did it on the front page of twitch actually which was incredible that was we like we planned on it we were like we were like we were like we were like
all right, Twitch posts on the front page, we're going to beat this record.
And then we went eight hours.
We broke the game like three times.
We spawned a level 9,000 Clem, which was hilarious.
That it crashed the game when we did, actually.
It was great.
Oh, my God.
That's awesome, though.
And then, I guess going into more about streaming, what has been your favorite moment in streaming so far?
Wow.
Favorite moment in streaming?
Besides this podcast.
I want to say one of my favorite moments was honestly,
maybe Battle for New World.
Battle for New World was this big event put on
by Amazon Games and Leviathan Core.
And it was incredible.
I got to lead this team of other broadcasters
versus other major broadcasters
and this new game that was at the time in beta.
and it was it was so much fun.
I think there's still clips of us of like 200 of like our communities like rushing into battle and stuff and having these giant PVP wars.
And honestly it was like that whole event while competitive was so incredible.
It was absolutely incredible.
I've had some really amazing moments in my streaming career.
But honestly that whole month was great.
And I guess along with other that,
that was your most favorite.
What was your proudest moment in streaming?
Probably setting the
Warframe longest coup of survival.
Honestly, like, getting done with that,
like, I felt like a rock star.
Although, very closely tied to that
is just recently in May
is setting, is, honestly,
raising $62,000 for St. Jude
was mind-boggling to me.
Because up until then,
up until then we'd only
I say only but still very much
accomplishment that I think we had raised up to
$11,000 in a month
and so having one month
and raising $62,000
for St. Jude is incredible.
I'm still fulfilling obligations
and incentives from that by the way.
So like tomorrow I'm in an R-Re cosplay
from League of Legends because
we hit so many milestones and goals
during the month of May that I'm
still trying to fulfill everything.
Well, you did
amazing, it's worth it
and to an amazing,
amazing hospital because St. Jude's one of my
favorite places to donate to. And
if anyone here has anyone to donate to,
please donate to St. Jude's because they are amazing
to work with. They are. I actually got to
go out there, which was great. Oh, that's great.
Okay, we got two little ones left. So
let's do this one. What is your favorite
exercise if you had to choose one?
If I had to choose one, set-ups now.
honestly sit-ups it's so funny like it's similar to pigeon pose I couldn't do it from the start
and now that I can it's like it's like almost a point of accomplishment and pride getting to do them at all
and have very quickly become like my favorite exercise
okay and I guess for the last one for a fun one
do you have any shoutouts you have that you want to make for any shoutouts to people to anyone
any announcements coming up anything um well tomorrow uh tomorrow is it's a very busy day one i'm
going to be in an awry cosplay two uh every friday we do flagship friday with my teammates on the
flagship uh and tomorrow uh we get to be on dj night's channel and dj uh dj's a really old friend
of mine i think of i think i think i sub to home for like 90 something months the other night um
And and he just signed on with Team Liquid, which is, which is crazy to me.
Yeah, I'm just like, heck yeah.
And then seeing your friends succeed is awesome.
So, so definitely want to give, honestly, everybody on the flagship a shout-up, but DJ,
D-Day especially, he's, he's doing, doing awesome things.
So getting, getting to play some games with him tomorrow was going to be really, really fun.
Plus, Ari cosplay.
And then I have the 30-V-30-30 tank battle coming up on Saturday.
That's going to be chaos.
It's going to be such chaos and it's going to be so funny.
I think we've got to figure out if we're going to bring missile launchers or not.
Like we're trying to plan things.
We got to win.
I can't let my people down.
The whole strategy and everything like that.
I like it.
So everyone,
please take a look at,
I think,
a small mission point smashily in chat or you do Twitch.
dot TV slash smashly because she's going to have some awesome stuff coming up,
Especially tomorrow, because I'm a big lead person.
So good luck with the, you have the tails and everything, too, Ferrari?
I don't have the tails because I got to sit down.
I got to, I was legitimately thinking of getting the tails.
And I was like, I got to sit down for his stream.
And those are going to get in the way.
So, so, yeah, I was thinking about it.
Oh, and I did want to mention one other thing that was really, really proud.
Because I have so many proud moments from streaming is I just, I mean, like,
I literally just started TikTok in like October or November of last year.
and I think we're about to have another video hit a million views.
We've had, I think this will be either the fourth one that is close to a million or almost at a million for us.
And so it's kind of crazy that we've had so much.
Considering we started it in October, we have 30, like I think we're about to hit 30,000 followers on TikTok in a short amount of time.
So kind of really proud of that, honestly.
Hey.
It's pretty proud of that.
Although, uh, my wingman who doesn't stream at all during our flying sessions and
Star System now has his own fan club on TikTok because they, they see him in front of me all
the time and they see his name.
And they're like, yeah, but we want to see more of him.
So now, now he has his own fan club, uh, on TikTok and it's hilarious.
It's hilarious.
I love that.
So I guess we'll go into announcement, but smashy, we got some.
some fun things for you at the end of these announcements.
Oh, fine.
We'll go straight into these things real quick.

But speaking to Relay Audio System, we have a whole new.
NZXT used to just be a case company.
Now we have audio systems.
And monitors?
Yeah, and monitors and everything.
It's weird.
Like this relay system, we got to.
speakers we got a headset which I'm wearing right now we got subwoofer we even have a switch
mix the switch mix is really cool it's a headset stand but if you put your headset on it it activates
the speakers and if you take your headset back on it switches automatically switches to your headset
that's awesome that's awesome honestly one of the coolest features I was always someone that would
like switch mainly switch my headset to like the speakers and back and forth that's really annoying
but it auto switches.
It's awesome.
That is really,
that honestly is really cool.
That's like I.
It works with any 3.5 millimeter headset, by the way.
So any headset.
It doesn't have to just be these,
but it could be any headset.
Okay,
that actually got me more outside
because that works with my crazy system
that I have over here.
It's awesome.
It's really convenient.
Yeah,
go ahead and do Smoeathe.
Or just go to nzincze.com.
Also, I just found out from one of my,
one of my viewers.

I love it.
And we've worked really hard on it.
And I'm so proud of our merch store.
Oh, the pilot jacket looks sick.
It is.
Wait, hold on.
Oh, yeah, go put it on.
Yeah, I'll show, I'll show the people here.
Look at all this.
Look at this thing right here.
This is sick.
So this is, this is, this is,
it's very nice
it's super nice
I can see you rock in there with some zeppelin heels
oh yeah oh yeah with with the zeppelin hills
absolutely
I wouldn't put it in but I'm like burning up right now
with all these love
so I guess for the last
and also this is going to be a little fun thing for you smashly
so we have a relay giveaway going on
it's nccc.co slash relay smash
we have a little secret portion
for those that are live here on the podcast.
This is ours.
Thank you for kind of, you know, supporting Smashy and also us as well.
There's a little part here of secret codes around 500.
I think it's 500 extra entries, if I'm correct.
Yeah, 500 extra entries.
There's a secret word.
I'm actually going to ask Smashy.
What should the secret word be?
I got to put you on the spot a little bit.
great question um
I I want to say the worst words um
maybe I'm looking I'm reading chat right now chat what should we make it
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah chats chats input here
who like meatballs let's do meatballs meatballs
So if you want to know the significance of that, by the way.
Okay.
So I went while you're studying all this up, I'll tell you really fast.
So when I went to St. Jude, I got to meet one of the patients there, Faith, who is a cancer survivor.
And she's adorable.
She's amazing.
She's, it was so great to get to meet her in person and hear her story and everything.
And when I got back from the summit, she showed up in my TikTok chat, which was really, really great.
like as she was like they're just like, hey, it's faith from St. Jude.
And I was like, oh, my God.
Um, and at the time, we were deciding, uh, we were doing a, um, Franken pizza, uh, with donations to St. Jude.
Chat was able to decide all of the ingredients, how much cheese, sauce, what sauce, bread, everything that's going on this pizza.
Like, it was awful, by the way.
Um, and so as one of the things that, uh, just as it, as it, as, as it, as, um, um, it was awful.
as like a gift to faith for like getting to meet her and everything.
I was like, hey, pick one of the ingredients.
And she was like, what do I have as choices?
And the moment she heard meatballs, she screamed in all capital letters, meatballs.
And so that's how I ended up with meatballs on my pizza.
So the rest of the pizza honestly was awful.
The meatballs were the best part.
Yeah, that's the worst part.
It was so bad.
It was awful.
But it was such, we raised so much money getting that pizza.
But the meatballs were massive.
Yeah, I was like, why are they so big?
And so now every time she shows up and in TikTok chat, she just screams meatballs and all cap the letters.
And it's so great to see.
That's great.
That's an awesome story.
We don't talk about those cinnamon rolls, Vinny.
We don't talk about those.
No.
I'm blanking those out of my mind
No
We're just
Dramin rolls
No no
They were separate
I
I
I love cinnamon
Keep in mind
I have
I love cinnamon
Everything cinnamon
I could not eat more than one bite of them
They were awful
They were still
I don't know why
There's a picture
And I would tell you
To go look at it
But I don't want you to be sick
and for some reason
these cinnamon rolls were the worst part of it
and they were just cinnamon rolls
I don't like how
the pizza you made
oh the pizza amount
that has meatballs yeah yeah
like I don't like how you had that but also I like how
the cinnamon rolls were worse
the yeah
they were much worse that's
that that yeah
I have his face right now looking like they're
yeah
what is the cinnamon rolls
Add meatballs, please know.
Don't give them ideas.
Don't make me do this next year.
Next St. Jude's fundraiser.
You know what to do.
Oh my God.
Similar rolls of meatballs.
You know what to do, guys.
Next year's a secret word will be cinnamon.
Yes.
There are you.
I guess that's it.
