From her humble MacBook beginnings
To leading a loyal community of cool cats
Please put your hands together for Vero
Vero! Can you introduce yourself to our audience
And tell us what you're all about?
Yeah, definitely. Thank you for having me. My name is Vero. First name is Veronica. And growing up, my nickname was Vero, like, all through high school and stuff. So I got the tag by, you know, lead speak was cool back in the day and playing Halo and everything. So, you know, the three is the E. So I went with that and just kept that, you know, over the course of time. And yeah, it's been, it's been really cool. Just, you know, being a streamer, getting to hang out with my community.
community um you know the ups and downs throughout the years and everything but yeah we we have a good time
we love playing different games and just a good vibe all around wait so people called you like verro like
for your nickname i've never heard that as like of the veronica like nickname because you know like michael
mike stuff like that i never heard right right yeah yeah yeah so that was uh because i played sports
like in high school and stuff um so like everyone gets like a nickname or whatever yeah um so that that was my like
nickname and then i just it just kind of stuck
just pretty much forever.
Oh, interesting.
So before we get into like your path to streaming,
we're going to kind of throw it all the way back to like the humble origins.
So first of all,
the hardest question,
honestly,
that most people like answer on the podcast are like,
honestly you don't remember is how did you get into game?
So,
okay,
this might like date my age a little bit.
But when I was growing up,
so I had siblings and they,
you know, they had consoles and stuff.
But my first console was something called the Colico Vision.
And I don't know however many people are, like, familiar with that.
But yeah, that was actually my first console that I played.
It was my, like, older siblings console.
But I would remember, like, you know, being young, watching them play.
They had, like, this little Mario game.
Sorry, not Mario.
It was like a Smurf game.
This little Smurf game, but it was like Mario,
where you would, like, jump over things and try to avoid things and, you know,
stuff like that.
and I would watch them play that.
And another game called Kubert.
I know that's like a pretty old game
where you're just like just jumping up.
Yeah, so that was actually my first console
and got me into gaming.
I love that thing.
And then obviously from that I went to like Sega
and you know, all the stuff that more people are familiar with.
But yeah, Kaliko Vision.
I'll never forget that.
I remember the knob controller.
It was almost like a telephone.
and like you just had all the big old buttons and this like crazy little knob thing yeah oh my god so uh what were
like the the games that you were playing like all the time when you're a kid then it would have been sonic
like the first sonic yeah that would have been like the one game i played the most as a kid
grinded out everything tried to beat it you know found the like up down left right ABC start like
all the little cheats and stuff and yeah i just spent hours and hours just playing that game i
like even now like I would definitely still play that game it just it's just a fun game like
could just always go back and replay it and find new stuff and I just always love Sonic did you did
you like when you're basically playing it was it like after school you'll just go and go play it
or is it like any sort of off time you have it was just playing it was not honestly any any off
time um the one like after school and stuff ended up becoming probably like mortal combat
it was just one of those like when that came out it was like oh we got to go home and you know
like battle each other and learn different moves and stuff like that so interesting so
out of your whole childhood would you say sonic is your favorite game or would you say like
even though you played it a lot it's not your favorite which one which one would be the favorite
I think I would say it would have been my favorite I think it's the one I put the most time into
and then even like with other games that came out it's always the one I'd go back to like
even though you play like a certain level so many times it's just I guess like the
nostalgia of it and stuff you just kind of just always want to go back and rerun it and
remember the memories like oh I remember when I found this or discovered this or something
like that so that that would always be the game like even to this day I could still go back and
like play it like on an emulator or something and still have fun with that game uh legal legal
emulator, legally, legally, you know, uh, uh, I know, I do exactly. Exactly, legal, like.
So you, you play all these consoles and everything like that. What was your, do you remember your first
PC then, like transitioning to it? Yeah, it was, I don't remember like the specs and everything,
but it was like a little, like starter PC, barely able to play like little, little tiny games and
stuff um it was fun i i enjoyed it but yeah just watching other people like oh i i could play
this my frames are this and then i'm like oh what's the like minimum requirements because i think
i think i can maybe try to play that game um but yeah it was it was fun like the transition
for me going from like console to pc was was a big thing and then you eventually started
streaming like it eventually started streaming so uh
I wanted to learn, because this is always fun
whenever I asked all the streamers, like, why
did you start streaming in the first place?
So for me, like, I mean, gaming has always been a big thing in my life,
especially like when Halo, the Halo days doing Latin parties
and hanging out with friends and just playing stuff like that.
Like, I've always just associated myself with just gaming,
that type of community, friends at game.
And then when Twitch kind of started becoming a thing,
I found out about it from like some friends
and we were curious about the ESO game
it had like just came out
Elder Scrolls online
but it was only like launching on PC at the time
and at that time I only had console
and I was really big into like
wanting to learn MMOs and get into that kind of thing
and I was a big Skyrim fan
so I was like oh you know this sounds kind of cool
it's like an MMO and it's you know
Elder Scrolls two things I kind of want to like learn about
so I started watching
Twitch, just to see what the game would be like.
Kind of like, I couldn't play, so I had to like, you know, kind of live through somebody
else playing.
So, and I got really into it and, you know, became part of somebody's community.
And I thought it was really cool.
Like, you know, oh, I could type in a chat and people that are saying hi and hanging
out and we're talking about gaming and, you know, stuff that I've done with other people,
like friends in real life and just getting to meet new people.
And at the time, I was like, it seems like.
like it maybe could be something I could try like I you know I first I was a little scared I was
like uh trying to do it you're on your own and talk to new people is is kind of scary but you know
I just let's just play like I'll go in the mindset of I'm just going to play a game I'm just
going to have fun if people show up they show up if they don't like it's okay uh so I had a very like
super bootleg type setup I you know it's off the Xbox the connect my first
camera was like the little connect and just streaming from like the xbox uh 360 and stuff but you know
i just i just sat there and played like i like i would come home from work or whatever and just
you know what i'm gonna play normally i might as well go live so i would just hit the go live
button and you know just play games and every now and then people would come in oh what are you
playing or like oh you know what are you up to and this and that and the more i did it more people
would come in maybe the same people you know you would say hi strike to a conversation and it just
kind of built from there. I kind of kept sticking with it and, you know, acknowledging people that
would come in. And, you know, over time, it just kind of grew up. And we got more people and now we
have an awesome community. I do want to ask, do you remember the first, like, continually, like, a viewer
that, like, continually joins your stream? Do you remember them? I do. Actually, so that person I met
from the first stream that I kind of became
part of their community,
they were just,
they were like another person just from the community.
And then they kind of,
I didn't really tell anybody like,
hey,
I'm going to start streaming,
you know,
like there's that stream etiquette and everything.
But in general,
like,
I just didn't really talk about it.
And somehow they found my stream.
And they're like,
hey,
like you're from,
you know,
this place or whatever.
And I was like,
oh,
like, welcome in and stuff.
And they just kept sticking around and hung out.
And honestly,
even till this day,
they still,
They still hang out and come out.
Not as often, you know, you grow up, you, you know, have a life.
Things happen.
But they do still make the effort to swing by the stream and say hi and sub if they can and stuff.
And I think that's really cool.
So, I mean, I showed your setup when you first did.
It was, let's see, it was 2015, yeah, yeah, laptop.
I think this is this a blue Yeti or Snowball Mike?
Yeah, it's, oh.
but yeah that's
it doesn't look like that anymore
thank goodness
yeah you're streaming
so what games were you
streaming then back then
so back then
it was so a lot of it
was from just
what my console could do
at the time
so and it was either
I had PlayStation at an Xbox
so luckily like with the capture card
I could just you know swap between the two
but a lot of it was
Kingdom Hearts games
I'm a big Kingdom Hearts fan
so we played a lot of
that um and then xbox it was you know like battlefield back then gta like we would do racing
like the car racing with people from the community forza uh like forza horizon and stuff like that
like just games that like were simple to play on on console but like easy to stream nothing that
was going to need like crazy like you know frames and stuff to look really good um how hard was it
streaming on that little little macbook like it was tough yeah it was
it was tough, especially because it's a MacBook and, you know, trying to do PC things or streaming or even OBS, like, I'm sure people out there know, like, trying to get OBS and stuff like that to work on a MacBook is just, it takes longer to set up.
And then the littlest thing could go wrong. And you're just like, what is happening?
Oh my gosh. I can't, I can't imagine you. And you're also like far away from the thing too. So yeah, that's, yeah. I had to have like the mic on this crazy like stand thing to be kind of close to.
me and I'm like looking at this big TV and trying like I'm sure there's a lot of like going into
chat and stuff I it was hard to keep up with that like play the game and reach out I know it's
still hard now but at least like with monitors you know things are closer you can see stuff
better with that it was I was lucky to be able to keep up and read what people were saying to be
honest I also love this photo it's uh it's it's it's the you know you don't think
about it right like back then how easy or difficult it was back then because like you know for me
I remember I had like this my dad's I think this desk was older to me it's hard like oak wood so
this thing is older to me sturdy probably way more than me at that time like it's one of those
desk and I remember vividly I had a blast on it but then you look back you're like I was I able
to do this and then you like you going from sitting on your couch
with a little MacBook, and then you're able to finally, like, sit in, like, a gaming chair on a table.
Like, what was that transition, like, from then?
Honestly, first of all, I think, like, family members were happy that I was out of the, like,
big living room and taking up the TV and the couch.
So I was, like, finally put into my own little room.
But, no, that was cool.
It was nice to, you know, kind of be in your own little space, be at a desk, you know, have a chair.
be in your own area and not and that transition was nice um i think i at the time i may have still
had the laptop so i was still kind of like constricted to that but at least like things could be
in a better position and i felt i think i was able to at least stream longer too like longer hours
being able to sit there um not have to be on like this couch in this weird like position where i
feel like i'm kind of stuck half the time so that that was a good
good transition for sure highly recommend if you if you can upgrade please like try it it makes the
difference it really really does I fair it is like you know you have the desk and you have the
gaming chair but you also have a green screen which is probably yeah I don't have that anymore
but the green screen that came in handy in the beginning because like at least now I was able
to have the time to you know like set things up and you know make things look kind of deep
decent and nice, but back then it was like, I didn't want people to see the back of, I didn't want them to seem like my bed or like if my room was messy.
So, you know, having a green screen was just a nice way to just cover up what was behind me.
And it's like, okay, I don't have to worry about that.
I could just hit the go live button, whatever's in the back.
Like, it doesn't exist.
It's not there.
And, man, so you, you were streaming on these little setups.
I saw the first photo I have was of 2014.
And then you were finally able to get a Twitch affiliate in 2017.
So that's three years of hard work.
So like how tough was it to become a Twitch affiliate, starting from scratch?
And then how like rewarding was it?
Honestly, in the beginning, like I kind of, it was always just kind of like a hobby.
So Twitch was like streaming and stuff at first was like I said, even when I started,
it was kind of just like, I'm going to be playing games anyways.
I might as well go live.
So I never, like, put it in my head immediately, like, I want to do something with this.
Obviously, it was kind of always there, but it wasn't like, this is something I need to do.
Like, if I don't do it, I'm going to be disappointed.
It was more of just like, I want to have fun.
I want to meet people.
You know, I want to, you know, start up a little group and see if that happens.
And once I saw that it was kind of leading towards that, especially, like, when they started doing affiliates.
and because before it was like, it was partner or nothing.
And so that was also kind of why I was like, I don't think I'll ever really hit that.
It was a big leap.
But once they started doing the affiliate thing and I was like, okay, well, you know, these are the requirements.
And I'm not that far away.
And if I do keep pushing myself, maybe I can get there.
And, you know, being transparent and telling my community, hey, like, this is something I want to try to go for.
And I appreciate you guys supporting.
we you know continue to do this like and you guys show up like maybe it's something that can happen
and you know everyone being extremely extremely nice and showing up and the support that I was
able to get and hitting that was it was a big achievement I know now like some people are like
oh affiliate this and that but like honestly I do think like if people can hit something and you
set a goal for yourself it is an achievement and you should be definitely should be happy about
that agreed and I mean I know you stream pretty much
nightly now, were you still doing that to reach affiliate?
It's basically like a kind of like a question for those that are trying to hit that
affiliate goal.
Like do you have any tips for now?
Honestly, the biggest thing that I did, I mean, streaming at night has always kind of
been my thing since the beginning.
But I think the biggest thing is the consistency.
Just making sure you always are live at least at a certain time every night.
like it is not to be every single night but at least you have a schedule and most people
the schedule really helps because they know when you're going to be there um i've seen friends
and stuff where you know they they go live maybe like 2 p.m and then two days later they go live at like
8 p.m and then three days later it's like oh nine in the morning or something and and the people are
like i don't know when you're supposed to like i don't know when i need to be here like i know i know
if you post it on Twitter, you post in your Discord, I can try to keep up, but like, you have to remember other people have their schedules too.
And if it's almost like a TV show in a sense, like you know when your show is going to be on, you know, when to expect something to be there.
Like, I think that's the biggest thing when you're at least trying to push for something. Obviously it doesn't have to be like that all the time. But if you are setting a goal for yourself and you're like, I do want to get affiliate, I do want to get partner. I, you know, I want to achieve this.
being consistent and having that consistency of letting your community know,
I'll be here at this time.
I might be half an hour late, maybe an hour.
Like, things might happen.
I might not feel good one day.
But if they know that you're going to be there and that consistency lasts
at least for like a couple weeks, a month, maybe two months,
you'll definitely see the difference.
I guess another question that leads into,
My next one is, I think consistency, we hear that all the time, right?
You have to be consistent.
You have to do this.
But do you have any tips on, like, trying to stay consistent?
I think that's honestly, like, one of the hardest things in general for, in life, right?
Like, not just for streaming, but, you know, work or for your health and going to the gym and stuff like that and eating, right?
Like, how do you stay consistent when, you know, you don't see those numbers going up?
or you don't see any progress.
How do you push through that?
So I know that's always been like a struggle is like seeing the numbers,
looking at the numbers.
And I'm like a victim of it too.
Like I do it constantly.
I've tried over the years to get better at it and not pay attention to it.
And it is tough.
But I do think that if you can kind of put yourself in a mindset of like,
I'm not going to look at numbers.
I'm just going to go have fun.
I'm going to be here. I'm going to be myself, you know, I'm sure if somebody is putting themselves
in that situation where they want to be affiliate or partner or whatever, you know, you should
have a couple people who have already, you know, come to your stream and maybe just a tiny
community, even if it is just, you know, a handful of people, that's still people that want to
show up to your stream. And if you put all your focus and, you know, dedication into talking to
them and interacting with them and putting in your best effort for them because they obviously
enjoy your content. You'll definitely be able to do it easier. You'll feel better about it.
Like for me, being able to do it consistently was just in general, like I said, like if I'd come
home from work, I just wanted a game. I just wanted to play. And putting that mindset of like,
you know, I just want to play games and I'm just going to hit the go live button. If I'm going to be sitting
here anyways like playing by myself in my room i might as well you know try to hang out with some people
and strike up a conversation and just continue to do it and see what happens and luckily there's
you know i have been a lot of amazing people and nice people coming in and i know it's tough when you
don't have people talking and you you know kind of look over and you're like oh there's not somebody
there kind of look over but there will be a person like somebody eventually will stumble in um
and interacting with them and just, you know,
just having a conversation,
just a small conversation like,
oh,
have you played this or,
like,
what made you click on the stream?
Or like,
I've seen a lot of people ask that too,
like,
oh,
you know,
what brought you in?
And they might tell you,
like,
oh, you know,
I was,
I seen you around this part of the game or I liked your overlay or
your logo was kind of cool or,
you know,
stuff like that.
Just like a simple conversation to strike up something and maybe,
maybe they'll come back again.
I like that.
I guess,
I guess that leads into the next thing is that you know you work hard to
you know get the streaming thing going and try to make this not just something that's just a hobby
but you know it's maybe a career was becoming affiliate like that moment of like hey
I made it or was there like another moment that you're like you know what I think I'm like
a real streamer now um I think for me
the affiliate was kind of when I told myself, like, okay, maybe I can push for the next thing.
Like, this isn't the final goal.
There's still other goals to be met.
Partners, there, you know, other stuff to make it a career is there.
But it was a nice stepping stone to say, like, you know, this is a possibility.
It's obviously still a lot of work to be done.
But if I do, you know, put the effort in, it's, like, you know, it's something.
something that can happen and being able to see yourself put that goal and then that goal being
hit kind of gives you that mindset of like, okay, well, it worked. Like I put the work into it
and it happened. Like what happens if I put more work into the next thing or look into putting
a lot more effort into the next goal I want to suffer myself? It doesn't have to be partner. It
could be hitting a certain amount of followers, you know, getting, you know, a certain amount of
people to hang out one day or something like that. Like, you know, little stepping stones, but
either way you're still making progress
and I guess
for those that are streaming
you know
I mean I looked at your old
YouTube videos and you know
I saw you played everything
from like Outlast
to NH Shell
and Rainbow Six
you know all these all these certain games
what made you decide you know what
I think Destiny is going to be
like my my niche
my way of like
creating a name for myself. What was
what was about Destiny that made
that for you? So I've always
liked Destiny. Destiny's just been a game
I've played just since it came
out. It wasn't a game that I mainly
streamed though. It was just a game I would play
on the side with friends.
I would stream it here and there, but not
like I do now. In the beginning, I was just very
variety. Anything I wanted to play
that was what I played. It didn't
matter like what the game was. We would just
check it out and play it.
But I did tell myself that when I had taken a little break from it,
they had like a big, big launch of like new content back in like 2020.
And I was like, you know what?
I want to get back into it.
I want to play it again.
It's always been a game I've loved.
I have a lot of friends that still like it.
Like let me put the effort into spending more time learning it
and actually like dedicating myself towards it.
That was also around the time where I did want to start pushing for partner.
So it kind of worked hand.
in hand, because it had never been something I've done where just playing one game only,
streaming one game only, that was always something that was like tough for me.
Because you hear burnout, you hear like, oh, if you do one thing only, like, you're going to
end up hating it kind of thing.
So I was always scared of that.
So being a variety streamer in the beginning was nice for me because it didn't matter
if I got tired or something.
I could just jump to something else.
But I know there is, it goes back to the consistency thing.
there is a nicer feeling when you can dedicate yourself to one thing
and kind of involve yourself in that community
and you know you're always there in the directory
you're always at a certain time you're there more people will see you
more people will like discover you and that was something I wanted to try
it was a challenge for sure but I did want to try it
especially with a game that I've always liked
I just never put that extra like 10% into
so being able to do that and learn the game and I mean luckily like I said it was a game that I've enjoyed and had a lot of people to play with that's always been a big thing for me too being able to play games with my community being able to play stuff and do stuff with them and interact with them destiny is a good game for that because they have raids and you know you can jump in with six people learn something go through that so that game and
being able to you know just interact with people find new people um was a good fit i like that
i actually that was one of my next questions was for those that are starting to stream i know like
it's hard to make a name for yourself if you're a variety stream because like you said you're not
do you recommend people just play whatever they want and then you know then you know they gain
a community because of that or do you recommend people
will be like, you know what, just try a game, make a community based on that,
and then you can start branching out because you have the community out.
I think it depends on the person.
I know there's some people who only want to play specific things,
and that's completely fine.
If you can, you know, enjoy the one game and play the one game,
there's nothing wrong with that, especially if you can make sure you don't get burned out,
because then you are, you know, keeping yourself in that community, around that community.
but if you are able to do the variety thing
I have seen
it's kind of like the whole
you get more people that want to be there
for you versus the game in that sense
because it doesn't matter like what you're playing at that point
they're coming back to your stream for you and your community
I've seen more people last longer in the community
when it has come to that like variety type stuff
because I could switch to another game
and they'll still be there
whereas like some people that are only there
for destiny if I play something different
they're like okay well you know
I'll see you later I'll come back next time
and that's completely fine as well
but it kind of depends what you're looking for
if you're trying to build like a core
little community of just people that
you want to hang out with
it doesn't matter what you're doing
you just want them there for yourself
and like your own little group
I think trying to go with a variety
right even I've seen people do just chatting um you know just other things like cooking streams
art streams and stuff like that like you'll you'll find people that are there for you and uh
like your content of your of yourself not just whatever game that you have on at the time
i guess uh you kind of touched a little bit of that is like how do you balance between like okay
you know i know there's a big destiny group at a big destiny audience but they're like you know
I really do want to play like Battlefield 6 or Dispatch or something like that.
Like, do you just go, I will play it?
Or do you, in your mind, you're like, you know what, I'll play dispatch for these three days.
And then after that, I'm going back to Destiny to make sure that that audience is still with us.
So in the beginning, it was a lot of like, I'm going to still go live with Destiny.
That'll be the game that I start with.
kind of build up, get the people that are, you know, wanted to come and hang out because of
that game. And then, you know, maybe a couple hours in, three hours, four hours in. I try to do
longer streams. I know that doesn't work for everybody. But, you know, a couple hours of like
the game most people come to your stream for and then make the transition of, okay, thanks for
hanging out. Like, you know, if you're here for Destiny, awesome, maybe stick around. I'm going to
play something else. And who knows you might like it? It's a new game.
you might want to check it out and kind of switch into the next game and sometimes people will stay.
I mean, you get a lot of lurkers too, so they might already have your stream up.
They might not even be watching like what you're doing.
So switching to the game at that point isn't too big of a deal because they have your stream
and they could be doing something else and they're just there at the time, you know, for the vibe
and just hanging out listening to what you have to say and stuff.
So I did go that route a lot, especially when I was pushing for a partner.
stuff and even now
like I will start with destiny
especially if there's a lot going on
in the game and people you know
want to see content for that
right now but if there is
other stuff that I want to play then I will make
that little transition to okay the end
portion of the stream is now
going to be something else
and the number
one question that we always ask
because I've dealt with it you probably dealt with it
of almost anyone that
does these being consistent and doing things over and over is burnout you know you stream out you know
for a few hours nightly um and you know it's like tough because you're like oh man you know i need
i want to sleep or man i had a long day i don't really want to stream how do you maintain
that level of interaction daily basically and you know having to talk with people and having to social
interaction how do you maintain that without hitting that burnout wall right
so I definitely have hit burnout a few times
not to like an extent where it's like I can't do this anymore
I need to take an insane break but yeah there have been times where
especially like with the games that we've played you just after a while you're like
I don't want to play this right now and like you know it's like people want you to
play it but in your mind you're like I'm if I sit down and play this game I'm not
going to have fun and at those times i just have to tell myself what do you want to play right now
like for yourself like what actually is interesting to you what what is something that you would
have fun doing and i tried i try to be as transparent as i can like with my community and i'll
tell them like hey i like today i don't feel i'm not feeling like doing this like i want to play
this we're going to play this it might be like a completely random game um but if it's just
one day of doing that game it can make all the difference there there was a moment a couple
months ago where unfortunately destiny was not in the best state and trying to play that was
very very hard uh luckily right now it's in a better spot and playing it as fun again but we took a
big break i think for the first time we took a very big break from that game and it was just
kind of going back to the variety
of how the stream started
a bunch of different games
different things whatever came out
we wanted to try and check out
and yeah
it was it was nice
mentally it was definitely nice we got to do different
things obviously viewer wise
you can see the cut
like not many people that were
there when you did play other games
didn't show up as much
and I think also
I just had to put that in my mind
It was like, I know the stream itself, numbers-wise, will suffer a little bit.
But in the end, my mental and, like, doing it for myself is better in the long run to play different things and, you know, be able to still be here, still hang out with people, still have fun.
But at least I can play stuff that I want.
And then we can always go back.
it's not like it's gone forever there there is that we can always come back when we're ready
and i think that's the biggest thing you kind of have to tell yourself is it's okay to take a day
for yourself i know it's scary i know you think like oh if i don't stream like they're not going to
come back and i've had that cross my mind many times especially like going to twitchcon going to
conventions like even if you're doing it for networking and yourself and for your stream it's still
scary. You're not going live and you're worried that when you do come back, those, you know,
maybe people will forget about you. They found somebody else. They don't want to hang out anymore.
And luckily, it's, I think you kind of put more into your head than what in reality really does
happen. And I think that's everybody, though. Like, you kind of second guess yourself and stuff.
But if anything, I would say the biggest thing, take the time for yourself.
in the long run it's always going to be better you'll you'll feel better you'll still want to do what you're doing and who knows you might come back and you enjoy the game that you took a break from taking that break you might it could be the thing you needed so yeah honestly that there's i one of the number one things i would say is moderation is key in everything in life right like you can drink too much water you can eat too much food but you can also do too little of the other so like
You know, like you said, you could be consistent and stream every single day.
But sometimes you just need to be like, you know what?
Maybe this is too much.
I just need to go back into that middle part, relax a little bit, and then start easing back into it.
I think that's a good thing for everyone here, in everything in life, to be a little bit more in moderation.
Right.
From chat, actually, I actually would love to hear your answer to this.
Trevin Chats says, as some of you may know, I am autistic.
so socially interacting with others online is difficult.
My question is, what has been your biggest challenge
in social interactions in your community and how do you handle it?
So for a question like that, luckily for me,
I have an amazing mod team,
and I recommend that for anybody that is getting into streaming
and wanting to do this more seriously,
find a good core team that's going to be there for you.
Because when you're streaming and you're doing your thing and you're having fun and you're entertaining your community, you can't always be there to read every single little thing.
Obviously, you want to try.
You want to keep up with what people say.
You don't want to be rude.
But sometimes, you know, the reality is you're focused on the game.
You have to be concentrating on what you're doing at the time and having a good team that can, you know, address concerns and talk to the person in chat that has a question.
if you miss it or even just be able to moderate whatever's happening at the time like hey you know
she's busy right now and she'll get back to you and we acknowledge we saw what you said you know
just hang out have fun um stuff like that like having somebody else that could be there for you
and and be able to kind of like filter your stream a bit is is a big thing and i i definitely
highly recommend trying to find somebody you trust and it could be people that have you know
came into your community and been around for a while and kind of know the tone of your community
and and what you already are looking for um that's that's a big thing just having having a good
a good team uh my noodle man uh asked a good follow question is like when is the right time to get a mod
is it like is there like a like a specific requirement they should get or is it like you know if you've
noticed them in the community and you realize that maybe you maud them like is there like a
timeline or like a requirement for having them all right um so i it probably you know between streamers
it's varies different things uh for me personally i try to look for people that can be there
at my time schedule so if i'm live from nighttime to this time and i see like a community
member has been there multiple days over the course of like months, years, especially like,
I mean, if you're starting out, it's easy to kind of use AutoMod from Twitch.
I highly recommend AutoMod from Twitch, especially if you're a smaller streamer, because
it'll catch a lot of the things that you can't see or do at the time.
And then things that maybe it does miss, you can, you know, do yourself.
but once your stream starts to grow a little bit
and you can see like okay
I missed this and I wish somebody
if I would have had somebody here
maybe that would have got taken care of sooner
if you start to see that and you're like man
if only I had like someone that could have been here
that's maybe giving you the idea of like okay you know
I think I should start looking for a mod
like the bot missed it I didn't have a chance to get it
now is the time to maybe like you know
put it out there like hey I'm trying to find
you know a moderator for the stream
I want to find someone that's going to be consistent.
I try to be extremely transparent with my mods and tell them,
like, this is something that, you know, if something happens and, you know,
life changes, schedules change and you can't make it anymore.
Unfortunately, like, that spot will now get, you know,
given to somebody else that can be here.
And it's nothing personal, you know, I,
I appreciate, like, everybody that takes the time that wants to help.
But you have to also think of it as, like, almost a job.
in a sense not not to that like you know it's super extreme but you know they're they're
there to help keep your channel going and and your content going and you know they do put a
lot of effort and a lot of time and you just have to find somebody that that you trust honestly
like it could it could be a community member that's been hanging around for a couple years
and that you've noticed that you talk to all the time and um it's something that
can always be removed too if you give them the chance you give them the shot you could do a temporary
thing it's not permanent so i think that's something else i've noticed people like they're worried
you know i gave this person mod i i don't want them to be mod anymore like now they're mod forever
it's like no no no like just be just be transparent tell them straight up like i want to do like
a test run you're interested you you want to do this you want to try it out let's try it for a couple
weeks. See how it works. If it's good, you know, we go a little bit longer. And who knows,
they might be the next best mod that you've ever modded in your life. So I like that.
And your community, you guys, you're known as the cool cat. So like, how did that nickname kind of come
about? Um, so that one was kind of tough. Like, finding a name for your community is kind of a tough
thing and throughout the years like
I feel like we've gone like ups and downs
like what should we call her so like what
do we what do we do and
um at least for me I've always been
a big fan of cats
and you know just
talking about you know things that have
cats in it are obviously the emotes
cats and stuff like that
um
so I one time in stream it was like
we had this thing where
if somebody would sub I would put on glasses
like I have them right here
we put on like the cool glasses like oh thanks for the sub this is not and so like we were just like yeah you know we we do that we like cats like it's kind of a no brainer like we're we all have like a chill cool little vibe like cool cats like yeah that kind of fits so just kind of went with that yeah there you go the cool cats yeah I guess I kind of helped Twitch kind of gave us the free emo the global emo for it I love that so
Do you have any other names that you guys are, like, shopping around?
Like, I assumed there was probably something with your name, too.
Like, oh, yeah, so, yeah.
What did we?
Oh, okay, this never happened, but it was like vero-fied gamers.
Oh, that's not bad.
I like that.
It would, we almost went with that.
It didn't actually happen.
But yeah, Verified gamers was one that kind of, like, filtered around there for a little bit.
for a while I just went as like
V3 gaming and it was just
like the V3 like group
or whatever but I was like
now that doesn't really hit so
once we finally like settled on the cool cats
it's like you know I like this like cool cats
like everyone's you know just kind of cool
and hanging out and you want to hang out
with the cool cats like
and you're also
which is I love this is that you're also part
of Twitch's Women's and Latin Guild
which is awesome so I kind of want to go
a little bit into that because I love to hear about like diversity, inclusion and everything.
So for those that aren't familiar, what is the primary mission of these like Unity guilds?
So the Unity Guilds have been around for a couple years now.
And I joined about a year and a half ago.
I seen the applications and stuff.
And, you know, I was like, you know what?
I'll take a chance.
I'll apply for it.
But their biggest thing is just uplifting streamers, giving them opportunities.
giving them opportunities that they normally wouldn't have.
And it gets grown over the years.
I think they've just added the Pride Guild not too long ago.
But it's honestly been an amazing, amazing thing.
I highly recommend if you can apply, like, please, please, please just apply.
I know they have like a lot of applications,
so it may take a while for them to get to you and to look through your application.
But they do open it up not, I think it was recently just opened up again.
so if you do follow
like Twitch on X
and all that stuff like definitely check out the link
I highly recommend it
but since I've joined
I've met so many amazing people
I've learned so much about like
the industry streaming
just opportunities in general
I've been able to
you know be part of opportunities
that I wouldn't have been able to be part of before
but they
they really work hard to just
if you need something
there's, you know, the people there for you that you can message.
If you have a question about something, if you need a mentor for something,
if you, you know, just want to do a collab with some people
and meet some new people and play some games, all that stuff is there.
There's like different posts that will happen where it's like,
hey, we have an opportunity for this.
If anybody's into this, you know, please sign up.
They'll do different like seminars where, you know,
we're learning about this for like streaming today or you know an educated class on something there's just a lot of opportunity of things that most people don't really have the chance to you know grasp or be able to have a chance to find out about and it's it's really it's a good tool and I highly recommend it if you can apply and you can be part of it trust me you will not regret it how do you balance between like
being a highly competitive player, you know, in Destiny and all these things to like being
an advocate for inclusion.
Like is, do you feel like there's a time where you're like, you know what, I need to focus on
one over the other or do they kind of mesh well together?
Um, I mean, I guess it depends.
I definitely, we just had, so the competitive part, we just had a like day one dungeon for
destiny that came out last week.
and a lot of my prep and everything went into like I need to focus on this like we want to get this done it's only open for 48 hours you know if you beat it you get like an exclusive emblem and like all this stuff so I do put like my effort and stuff into if it's something like that I will focus just just on that like my normal stream stuff and you know playing with people hanging out doing different games you know doing teaching runs of stuff I have to tell people like right now.
my mindset is we need to prepare for this. This is something coming up. This is what I'm going to do.
You know, I'll have people come in like, hey, like, what are you doing? Like, can I join? I'm like,
you know, I'm sorry right now. Like my focus is this. You know, this is coming out. Like, we're going to be
doing this. But like I said, I try to be transparent and tell people like, hey, right now, you know,
content might not be exactly what you're used to, but it's only because we have something coming up.
And, you know, I want to dedicate a lot of my time and focus on it.
And, you know, people understand.
And now that it's over, like, we, you know, go back to what we used to do and hang out.
And streams can be back to, like, and anyone can play.
We can, you know, jump in.
Let's have a good time kind of thing.
So it's tough.
It doesn't happen often, you know, the contest stuff and the super competitive things don't happen as often.
But, you know, there'll be nights where we're.
we want to play games where we really want to win.
Especially like lately we've been playing a lot of battlefield, RedSec, and, you know,
playing battlefield with friends and doing stuff and letting community members jump in and stuff
is fun.
But there's the nights where you're like, okay, we just want to win.
Sorry, we're going to kind of close it off to, you know, a couple, a couple members and
only focus on this.
But I think as long as, you know, I kind of communicate with the community, what we're doing
that night.
and it's been good, it's worked out.
Being transparency is honestly super key.
Honestly, love that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And also, because you're also part of the Land Guild, you know, being a Hispanic creator.
Like, did you deal any hardships with being Hispanic or anything like that?
Or has that, like, cultural background actually kind of, like, helped influence the community that you made?
I don't know if it's really, like, influenced the community in a sense.
has been something like over the years I know people have had you know different
hardships with where they come from languages they speak different opportunities that
people feel like you're not allowed to get for certain reasons but I do think the
biggest thing for me has been that kind of sense of like a community and from the
Latin Guild being able to find other people that you know
go through certain things, whether it's in life, in stream comments from people, things that, you know,
maybe someone said something hurtful or said something to you that, you know, it was tough to take.
But being able to talk to other people and find out, you know, you're not alone.
Like other people go through this kind of stuff and it just gives you a sense of community and belonging
and you kind of work towards, you know, getting past things like that.
I guess in a sense, I try to use what I learn from those guilds
and what I've found out from other people to kind of go and be like that with my stream.
And if someone's having a tough time or says something, you know, I go back and think,
okay, I had this conversation with someone and I learned to be a better person about it
or I can use this to hopefully make someone else be a better person.
And so it has been a struggle, but it's been, it's been nice to have people to fall back on.
And this next section, a lot of people tend to ask about this because it's about sponsorships and everything like that.
So I know that you are sponsored by obviously advanced, which is awesome.
And then you know, you're also, you know, we work with you on getting some stuff.
So when a brand approaches you, it's probably one of the coolest things, right?
Like, they are like, hey, we want to pay you and they want to give you stuff and everything like that.
What is something that people should consider before just going, yes, I'll take that deal?
Like, like, you know, creative freedom, you know, product access, uh, timing, you know, like, what, what's like something that you really focus on with these brand deals?
So for me, the biggest thing is I try to look at what they're asking of you.
I know one of the biggest things a lot of people say is, like, know what you're worth.
especially as like a streamer and your content and what you're capable of doing there might be some people who will reach out and try to like undercut and give you like an offer where you know it's not necessarily something you should jump towards immediately like you said like you see it you're like oh this is cool I want to I want to do this I want to you know say yes right away and I didn't really have all this knowledge earlier on but going through
through the Twitch guilds I've learned a lot and getting to see like what a lot of people can
get offered and you know being able to just say hey like can we do this instead or you you
usually get like bullet points of what they're asking for and if you see something where you're like
you know what that doesn't sit well with me like I don't feel like I could do that it's not a bad
thing to ask, hey, like, can we maybe, you know, not do this or, you know, I'm, if I can do this
instead, like, you know, for example, if they're saying, like, hey, when, when you talk about
this product, you have to only say nice things, completely only say nice things. What if you
are transparent with your community and what if there's something about a product you don't
like you don't want to lie to them like especially like the people who follow you they know
when you're not being honest like you can try to lie or you can try to you know say something
different but they're going to be like nah this isn't this isn't you if you you don't feel
this way and that's going to break trust um so yeah if you can you know reply back with
I can do these things these bullet points this one however like to a certain extent if there's
something about a product or something that I don't like, I will say something.
I usually try to go for things that I think myself will like.
There have been companies that have, like, you know, approached me and stuff and said,
like, hey, can you talk about this or can we have you, you know, go over this on your stream?
And it might be something I'm not into.
And I've told them, you know, I appreciate the opportunity.
I appreciate you reaching out, but unfortunately I don't think it'll be a good fit.
I don't think my community would like it.
But yeah, I think being true to yourself and knowing what your limits are is a good thing.
Also, there is like a key to when you are getting like a sponsor for something, even if it's like a game or something.
and I know this has been kind of like talk going around right now
with a lot of the sponsor things
that have been coming up with Twitch lately.
Your average viewer, concurrent viewer,
there's like a system where it's like one viewer equals this much.
And if you have like a certain concurrent viewer system
and people offer you something where it's like a way, way low cut,
personally I would say don't take it.
Because the more that you start to do that, you're kind of like undercutting yourself and you're not really letting your content and your worth be what it is.
So I know that's kind of like an issue at the moment where a lot of stuff where it probably should be higher is kind of low right now.
And I know some people sometimes you have to if times are tough.
but if you are able to communicate, able to talk to the person,
if it's an email or something, definitely voice your opinion.
Hey, can we do this?
Maybe I've had this in the past and it worked out.
And if we can do this, maybe it'll work out.
So I think just being able to, yeah, just again, it goes back to transparency
and just be honest with how you feel.
Honestly, I think that's something that a lot of people don't do, which, you know, as us, as a company, you know, when we reach out to people, that is something that we actually do like.
And just because you're transparent, like saying like, hey, you know, if I had a bad experience with the product, you know, I don't want to just do that.
You should voice that, you know, if we reach out to you and we want to work with you and you have something to say like, hey, whatever, that's not going to like kill the deal.
brand or anything like we've reached out we want to work with you so we're going to make it
work so right right like you said for those that are starting to get sponsors and brand deals and
partnerships everything like that please be transparent be honest because honestly that's how it's
going to work because uh if you're not like that you know you're letting your audience down you're
letting yourself down be honest with the company they're more than happy if they're already working
with you we're going to work with you we're going to find a way right definitely
Yeah, and also finding things that you like in general, just a headset that you always use already.
You know, NZXT stuff you already had and you liked.
Just finding the companies that you in general already appreciate and like on your own time, it makes the difference.
Because then you know, like, okay, I'm going into this with something I already purchased on my own,
something I already talk about on my own, something that I use on a daily basis.
and it makes it that much easier because those companies see it and they're like,
oh, you know about the product already.
You enjoy the product.
So sending you something new that we're doing is easier because you've already spent time using what we have.
And I think those are the things to kind of look for, especially with gaming too, like companies
that games that you already like from them or if there is a company that's making a new game,
but you've played something that they've made in the past.
Like, that's also a good thing.
Finding stuff that you're already into and enjoy is definitely the route to go.
I love that.
Let's see.
Yeah, I mean, working with Brando's is huge.
Oh, you know what?
That actually leads into my favorite segment, which is rapid fire.
It's, I'm going to ask you, well, we'll ease in, don't worry.
We're not going to go to the crazy ones just yet.
We'll start easy, you know, ask, you know, simple questions.
then as it goes on, it'll get a little weird.
So just be ready, you know, answer however you like.
Don't feel like you have to elaborate if you don't want to.
If you want to, do it.
All right.
Okay.
All right.
This is one of my favorite things.
All right.
Number one, you know, I see got a couple of Pokemon.
What is your favorite Pokemon?
Joltion.
Ooh.
Joltion would be my favorite Pokemon, yeah.
What is your favorite Pokemon game of all time?
Ooh, okay
So I
started playing the games a little later than most people
Um
So mine would probably have to be X and Y
Whoa
X and Y
Interesting
I you know most of you all over like
Oh you know I love Pokemon Red and
Yeah I know
Yeah
Oh interesting X and Y honestly X and Y is pretty
That was like one of the first iterations
Like real 3D so I
Right yeah
what is your favorite game of all time if you can only play one mass effect
oh good call good call uh what is the one game you wish you could play for the first time
ever like again that i've already played but then play it again like you can forget it
and then play it again just played it probably kingdom hearts
Yeah, I think Kingdom Hearts would be the one.
Like, I think Destiny would be fun to, like, redo, re-learn,
but I think the story mode, a lot of-hastel, yeah.
I think learning, like, everything about the story,
and then once you, like, learn the story, you're like, oh, my gosh.
But that, like, transition of going from, like,
not knowing what the heck is happening,
and then finding out is so good.
What do you think is the best destiny rate of all time,
your favorite one?
Vow the disciple.
that was the one that I think there was some before that but like for me that was my favorite it just had like a new spin to everything the boss was something we'd never seen before at the time and yeah that that one will always be the one I love the most played a lot of the first ones um it was uh kings king something kings king's yeah i played a lot of uh uh
that and vault of glass those are the OG ones yeah oh I have a funny story I won't go too
much into it but uh this is like the first time we're really playing in on PlayStation like one of our
first times really playing of the thing I was in college during this time and one of my friends
could not do one of the jump puzzles for his life oh no I'm I'm I'm in I'm by the way I'm in the
east coast now they're in west coast so it's like two in the morning for me it's 11 for
them and he keeps missing this one jump that kills us and I've never had a time where I'm like I want
to throw my controller out the window oh my god so it's always the jump puzzles yeah it's the jump puzzles
like you know everything you're like okay you got to shoot him at this time oh he opens up you
do this you bring this orb over here but the jump puzzles yeah always like the littlest mistake
your foot doesn't hit the ground and it's over and I guess that kind of goes along with it
What is the most frustrating rate you've ever done?
Oh, frustrating rate.
That's a tough one.
All of them.
Yeah, honestly, I guess it would have to be one of the newest ones that just came out.
But that had a lot going on at the time.
The Desert Perpetual one, there was just a lot of things going on when that contest one came out.
And even now, like, there's just, I would say that was probably the one.
I've had, like, the most frustrating time with.
I had, yeah,
NCC Chichilla says,
I hate to jump puzzles.
Yeah, having to look up a video beforehand
is insane, like, in my, in my head.
And also, like, imagine when you, like,
the first raid comes out and you have to figure everything out,
it's crazy.
Oh, that's my favorite.
I love that part of that.
You like trying to figure it out.
Yeah, we try to, so we'll put ourselves on, like,
a time limit, because we usually do, like, the day ones,
where it's like the contest mode is open for only a certain amount of time.
But yeah, that's like our favorite part is like learning the mechanics,
trying to figure it out on our own.
And then obviously if we're stuck there for a long time, we're like,
okay, we need to figure this out.
But yeah, that's, I think, always been my favorite part of the raids and stuff
is just learning the mechanics and everything for the first time.
What is your favorite exotic of all time?
Oh, that's a good question.
Weapon or armor?
how about weapon and then we'll do armor after okay weapon I don't use it as much anymore
but man I kind of want to say Gellhorn oh I was about to say Gellhorn like that has like a
a good like D1 and D2 like that's just like an exotic everybody knows about and using that just
shooting it everywhere has always been so much fun um now for armor
oh man so I'm a hunter main and I love void hunter so I'm gonna have to go with the orpheus rig the boots yeah I'm a war I think that's like the one I use the most oh man I was I was right I question down and I'm like oh gallohorn was like that was so I remember my first right I you know I'm a peer beginner my friends been playing for years right so I joined late right I get gallhorn as like I think it was the first or second
rate i've ever done i get it and i go well is this good and my friend goes you don't i've i spent a week
trying to find it and you get this i'm like no is it's it's a good yeah that's that's kind of what
happened to me it was uh running with a bunch of friends and like everyone trying for and trying
for and it's like you get the chest at the end and i was like hey what's what's this and everyone's
like no i can't believe you got it like how did you get it we've been trying forever and i was like
oh, I guess this is a good weapon.
Beginners luck is a huge day.
Yeah, it is a huge thing. I hate to admit it.
Yeah, it really is.
What is something that Destiny needs to nerve?
To nerve.
Ooh, okay.
They need to nerve warlocks right now because they made Warlock super OPE at the moment.
No, I'm teasing.
I don't know.
That's a tough one.
They've done a lot of nerfs and stuff for things.
If anything, I feel like they need to like buff up a lot of weapons.
I guess
man
that's actually a really good question
oh that's a tough one
I actually don't know it right now
really
I'm trying to think of something that's insanely like
opi I guess the matter right now
has been like there's a specific weapon
that everyone's been using for
like day ones and bosses and stuff
as much as I hate nerfing things
I feel like doing that is going to
finally allow
more
like gun play with different stuff
so it's a gun called
Finality's Auger
it's like a linear
but it creates like this little turret
and like you know
it shoots stuff like passively
as much as I love that gun
and I don't want to see it get nerfed
I feel like nerfing it would allow us
to finally use some other stuff
what is the one game
you play if Destiny somehow just
disappeared tomorrow
hmm
like it could be the only thing I play
yeah or like it
be your niche. You know how like Destiny's my new like main game okay uh honestly probably elder
scrolls online because that's a game that I still love and just never have the time for and I
always go back and it's similar in a sense not exactly but it has its own like raids its own like
trials and stuff and you know trying to run dungeons to get gear and things like that so I think
it would be that what is one thing you like for Destiny to do to make better
for the game or the community?
I think bringing back the raids they took away
would be the biggest thing that they could do.
There's a lot of raids that we don't get to play anymore
that some people have never even seen.
And they've done it in the past where they've remade
some of the raids from Destiny 1.
They brought them back and did a whole little revamp.
But yeah, bringing those raids back
and having a new system where you could play that stuff again,
would be huge.
Would you ever consider switching to Warframe?
I've actually tried Warframe.
It was a cool game.
I don't think I could ever make it like my main.
The biggest thing for me with that game was having to wait all the time for like your
frames and stuff to like be created.
Yeah, it was a good game.
I liked and I mean now I know there's like so much new content that maybe going back could be a lot of fun
because when I first played it, it was years ago, like, 2020 or something.
So I know there's been like a lot of updates for that game.
Oh, yeah.
But yeah, I definitely have tried in it.
It's a good game.
It has a nice community, a really, really nice community.
Yeah, I'm a big warframe guy.
Like, I was warframed before Destiny.
So, like, my friend's a Destiny guy.
I'm a Warframe guy.
We tried getting each other into it.
But I will always love it.
Free to play game, by the way.
Free to play game.
Yeah, you're right.
It is a free play game, yeah.
Uh, let's see.
Oh, what is your favorite event or convention that you've ever went to?
It'd have to be TwitchCon.
I've been very lucky and fortunate to have gone to all the TwitchCon so far.
But, I mean, it being, you know, near California and in California,
minus the vagus one has kind of been the reason it's been easy for me to do that.
But yeah, I would have to be TwitchCon.
Being able to kind of see it grow over the years, too, has been really cool.
because the first one was like in like San Francisco in this like small little spot and like they didn't even have like the big party things that they do know like the block party thing they do it in San Diego and everything like it used to be super super small so seeing a grow over the years has been really cool
what is one common question you get asked in chat that you just want to clarify here and now to the community oh man I don't know a question that I get asked in chat
I don't know if anyone from my chat is here to say a question that I would have known.
I don't know.
I guess I don't really get too many like question questions other than like, hey, did you see my message?
Did you see my message?
Like, yeah, I saw, okay, I guess that would be that.
Have you seen my message?
I have seen your message and I will reply to it when I get the chance.
But did you see their message, though?
how delicious are crickets
oh gosh okay
luckily I had
okay so to clarify
it was we did a charity stream
and the goal was to hit to eat crickets
luckily I was able to put them on pizza so it wasn't just
straight eating a cricket
I feel like that's worse yeah I know in a sense
that it is probably worse
it was more of the feeling
than the taste
the crunch of like
yeah I don't know it was it was bad
it was bad
what is the next thing you would eat for charity
oh man
I know people have said
I don't think I would ever do it
but I know people have like done like spiders and stuff
but I'm like I'm definitely
a rolypop or whatever I'm
I'm very escape I do not like spiders
I'm scared of spiders
I don't know if I could do that
some other type of like
insect or something maybe um i i don't know if i could actually do the spider thing though i
think i don't know that'd have to be one insane goal to hit yeah uh i you know what murks kind
of you know i was thinking about it you don't want a soggy cricket so honestly
crunching yeah i think i'd rather do to crudry so honestly if you had to do it you did the right
thing uh oh what is your favorite advanced flavor
uh sour apple nice sour apple is my go to yeah i'm a i'm a big i like sour like sour skittles kind of stuff
like they do have like a sour candy one too that would be like my next favorite uh do you have any
fun or memorable moments with your community um honestly it would probably be that cricket one
so we uh we do a lot of charity stuff and one of the things was the cricket hitting the cricket goal
um and everyone i i i
think it was more so seeing them excited because it wasn't it wasn't fun for me but being able
to see them like you know oh we hit it like she's going to eat a cricket like oh my gosh um
so yeah i i think that being able to to hit goals for stuff like that and me kind of torturing
myself a little bit at their expenses uh is always fun uh from he well kiwi uh spider pizza
with pineapples and anchovies when oh no well we do have a charity thing coming up in
January, so...
Maybe that will be the new goal.
Maybe, maybe.
Spider pizza, we're calling it now.
Oh, no.
There you go.
Everyone in the air community.
You, you, this is, this is the thing now.
The spider pizza.
Let's see.
Oh, if you weren't streaming, like, what would you be doing in the off time?
So, I went to school for graphic design.
And before, like, actually streaming, like, in doing that more, I was a graphic designer for
couple companies. Actually, funny story, one of the places that I used to work, they sold my PC
parts and stuff, like cases and things like that. And this was a long time ago. And I remember one of
the marketing managers coming up to me and was like, hey, we're trying to redo like the website
and stuff. Like if you can, you know, put that on as one of your projects to work on, here's like a
reference of a company that we kind of want to look, like get our theme to kind of look like. And it was
the NZXT's website.
Oh, what?
Yeah.
And I was like, oh, yeah, I love NXT.
I know them.
Yeah, of course, like, we can make it kind of look like this.
Like, it was kind of like the don't copy their homework, but like, you know, make it
kind of look cool.
Like, I like their vibe and stuff.
So I always thought that was funny.
Like, just I was like, hey, yeah, I know they're, they're everywhere.
Wait, well, it's weird that it comes full circle like that.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's so cool.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would probably be doing more graphic design stuff for somebody, yeah
Interesting
How does it feel to support the worst California hockey team?
What? Who said that?
That's me. I'm a Ducks fan, that's why.
Oh my gosh, you're Ducks fan.
Okay, well, we have Corey Perry, so I don't know.
I don't think you guys wanted him either.
Yeah, we don't want, no, we don't want it.
I have a Corey Perry jersey and I'm just like, this hurts.
this hurts yeah when i when i found out about that i was like oh my god am i sleeping like is this
is this really happening i've spent so long disliking this guy now he's like on the team
no the sharks are not the best it's the ducks no no no but i've uh yeah i've always loved
the kings and it i don't know about the worst team but we can we can join together and
dislike the sharks yeah i'll go with you on that we'll say we'll say we'll say screw to this
screw the skirts i'm okay with that sharks yeah hawks fans over here we got our own drama
crackings represent you know what i'm i'm cool with those i'm cool with them yeah as long as you're not
Vegas as long as you're not Vegas oh yeah no yeah i think we can all band together against
i think we all can uh have you i thought you all you um uh were wearing a broncos thing are you a broncos
fan so i for football it's like weird i didn't have like a favorite team
And then for a while, like, I didn't like the Broncos, and I followed them for a long time.
Because back then, Alley didn't really have, like, a football team.
I know it was, like, the Raiders, but I was never really a big Raiders fan, even though, like, some of my family is, like, diehard Raiders fan.
I just, I don't know.
Maybe it was, like, also that Raiders Broncos, like, don't like each other.
I was trying to be, like, the rebel of, like, the family.
Like, oh, I don't like this team.
But now that we actually have, like, teams.
over here, I'm more of a Rams fan now.
Hey, okay.
But yeah, but I mean, I still like the Broncos.
I'll never dislike that team.
I've followed them for years.
So it would be like my second favorite team.
Do you think the Dodgers will get the three Pete?
I hope so.
Fingers crossed.
I think they could.
I think they could too.
The two has been amazing.
It's been awesome to watch.
Yeah, Ivan, Ivan's the biggest Dodgers fan out there.
He's the biggest diehard.
And obviously, I'm from Anaheim, so, like, I have to like the angels, but I, it's painful.
It's painful.
It sucks.
Just come over to the, come over to the Dodgers side.
It's nice over.
Oh, my God.
It's so painful.
See, you guys win with Otani.
I'm like, it's painful.
I want to.
Okay.
Ooh, okay.
So these are some fun little, would you rather questions.
Would you rather only eat cold food?
or hot or drink hot beverages
wait so you can only have
cold things or one of the other
so you can only have cold foods
or you have to drink hot beverages so soups basically
or everything you drink is hot
or any food you eat is cold
you get one or the other
oh no
you can't have a nice cold
coke you have to have a very
microwave warm one
I think
I guess the cold food and I would have
to pick specific things to eat only ever
because I don't think I could do the hot drinks all the time
especially Southern California oh yeah like in the summer
no okay yeah cold food I'd have to do cold food I don't know
getting where I just live off sandwiches or something oh you know colds
oh cold sandwiches like the bread being cold too though yeah yeah I guess cold crickets
just let it sit out in the sun for a little bit cold crickets cold crickets
cold pizza okay you know what
I was like I only will do hot foods but you know what
you guys are kind of convincing me there there are good
cold foods only drinking hot water
yeah only drinking hot yeah I could not do that hot water
in the summer oh no no oh you know what
okay you know what you guys convinced me I'm going I'm going with
the cold foods you know what's cold foods yeah
would you rather have 500,000 right
now or $1,000 for every time you run a mile in less than 12 minutes.
The 500 now.
I don't know if I could do the mile in 12 minutes.
I mean, if you think about it, it's, this is, but I mean, you can train for it.
And then you basically, if you run, you know, a marathon, that's, that's 20.
That's, you know, was it? That's, uh, 24. So yeah, you can make that money in a little bit.
you just need to run a hundred miles within your lifetime, basically, under 12.
I think you could do.
I think I'll still stick with the now, yeah, with the now, yeah.
Oh, okay.
This one, I've been, I've been talking, and I've been, I've been fighting for this.
Is the ocean a soup?
I would say no.
Why would you say no?
I feel like it is a yes.
Soup?
Yeah, because, you know, water, liquid, and then a bunch of things in it.
Can you consume the ocean and still live?
I mean, you could consume it.
I don't know if you live.
I mean, you could have bad soup that could poison you, right?
I guess, yeah.
Right?
Like, I'm not super crazy on that, right?
Like, I've been fighting with my friends and, like, everyone.
Are you on the side of yes?
Oh, it's a soup.
Thousand percent is a soup.
It's a thousand percent soup.
If anyone denies it.
Is it because, like, are you saying, like, seaweed is, like, noodles or something?
I mean, I'm just thinking of it as a, not like an edible soup, but, like, you know, liquid.
Consistence.
With, like, a bunch of stuff in it.
I feel like it, like cereal.
Is cereal soup?
I don't know.
I feel like milk is a little thicker than water.
But, oh, is chowder soup ten?
Oh, okay.
Okay, yeah, you're right.
Okay, hold on.
I don't know.
I'm going to still stick with no, but, yeah, that chowdery question now, let's...
See, it gets, like, you think about it, and it starts going bored, more, you're like, what is...
Yeah, deep dive.
I literally talked about this an hour yesterday with my friends, and I'm like...
I think that, that's the question.
What is a soup is where you have to kind of start?
Yeah, like, is it just liquid with stuff in it?
Like, I'm just saying, I feel like that's, I feel like, that's kind of like the ocean.
all right so uh before we end the thing i will want to do the we'll go through it quickly because i love
this thing it's called the money ladder so basically what we're going to do is over so basically
what we're doing is there you'll will have options um for you to get some money okay the the thing
is it'll start off easy we'll get like a hundred thousand and you do this but as you go up and get
more money the harder it'll be so you just have to say yes or no if you're going to
do all right okay all right so for a hundred thousand dollars remember this is a hundred
k so honestly i would do pretty much all these hundred thousand dollars you have to spend 24
hours in a walmart like just live in a walmart for 24 hours 24 hours
i could do that yeah yeah see this it's our stuff pretty easy right yeah okay one mart has
like everything food yeah so you have food you got bathroom restrooms yeah no worries
$250,000, $250,000.
You have to try to convince
every person you talk to,
every person, about a pyramid scheme
that you're into for at least one month.
I think I could do it.
You're going to do it? Oh, man.
Talking to your stream, every time you talk to them
is like you're got to talk about this pyramid scheme.
It's right. We'll just start the stream off with, hey,
hey guys.
Hey guys, today we have a pyramid game we're playing.
Man, I talk to a lot of people.
I'm going to say to that thing for me is, like, most, I don't necessarily, like, go out too often.
Like, I will here and there, but for the most part, it's, you know, me and my room, people in my house.
Like, I think in your case, you probably see a lot more people in different people.
So I see a bunch of people.
And, you know, we're going on the route.
We see the neighbors.
So, like, yeah, it would be tough to see them, be like, yeah, I'm sorry.
$650,000, but you have to spin a wheel and get three random piercings, and you have to keep them at least for a year.
Where do, like, piercings?
Anywhere, it could be like your ear, it could be, you know, your nose, it could be your butt, you know, three random pierces, $650,000.
And you have to have it for a year?
A one year, one year.
Man, that's tough.
I guess so.
I feel like it's got to be something that's,
if someone's going to give you a piercing,
it's got to be something safe in general, right?
Like, it can't be anything.
Yeah, but you know, but you're going to,
just three piercings for 600, over, over half a minute.
Yeah, okay, okay.
I would do it.
I was like, I was like, you know what?
Give me a butt here.
Sure, I'll do it.
I just sit awkwardly for a little bit.
Yeah, yeah, only for a year.
Yeah, only for a year.
And, you know, piercings go away.
So it's not like the worst thing, right?
Right, right.
One million dollars, one mill.
You have to trade phones with a complete stranger for 24 hours.
And, you know, you both have unbridled access to do whatever you want.
So they can text, call, do whatever, go on your Twitter, do whatever for one day.
I would probably say no.
You're going to say no.
Yeah.
If I didn't work in.
social, I would say yes.
Yeah, I think if I didn't, if I wasn't a streamer, didn't do stuff like that, I would say yes, but yeah, no.
Yeah, I think, I think I would, it would be tough.
$3 million, you have to give up caffeine, sugar, and fast food for two years.
I'm going to have to say no to that.
Really?
That's like, you, yeah, you literally just said everything that I do.
Oh, what?
Come on, guys.
I can't have it.
I can't have my caffeine.
I see some people say, oh, no, oh, come on, guys.
You got to have so $3 million.
That's a lot of money.
No.
We've made a good amount so far.
Yeah, you know, you made a, you made a Colstil Bill right now.
Can't be greedy, can't be greedy.
She needs her nuggies.
Exactly, exactly.
Oh, this is a tough one.
$5 million, but you can never take a photo again.
Never take a photo?
Yeah.
like of anything like anything no photos no no storage nothing you know photo of your cat yeah and i'd have to
say no i mean because just having like your camera on for stream does that count i say that's okay
i'm thinking like for personal reasons like you take a photo of your cat you take a selfie with a friend
like no memory photo like no photograph no photos okay ever
screenshots i would say that's like iffy
Ify. I'd say, like, a photo with you in it.
Screenshot, I think, is okay.
So what about other people taking photos for you?
Is that too much of a loophole?
I think that's too much of a loophole.
I say you can never be in a photo again.
Okay, yeah, I don't think I could do that.
You're going to say, no.
I think I will also say no again.
I take too many photos of my dog, so, you know, not having that, it's tough.
And then that's, like, products, too.
Like, you want to promote, like, something.
Sorry, I can't take a photo.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's tough.
Yeah, I just showed on stream, basically.
That's it.
Yeah, oh, yeah, yeah, true.
I don't know if they would like that, though.
Right.
10 million.
Remember, guys, this is $10 million.
But you must live with 10 roommates in a tiny house for two years.
How many bathrooms?
I'm going to say, because there's 10 of you, I say you have to, I say three bathrooms.
Not awful, but.
It's still pretty bad.
You're still,
you're sharing with three people.
10 mil for two years.
But tiny house.
Like you streaming right now,
there'll probably be someone in the background.
You'll see them in the background.
Okay.
Wait for how long?
Two years.
Two years.
Yeah,
I said one year originally,
but I'm like,
ooh,
I think I could do one year.
Two years.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
For 10?
I would do it.
I would do it.
I think I would suffer.
Yeah.
Honestly,
you could probably be some good podcast.
Yeah, they just have to be okay with people on the back.
Yeah, you know what?
Maybe I'll bring the green screen back.
Yeah, there you go.
You know, I'm going to go 10 mil.
If it was like anything less, I'd say no, but 10 mil, that's a lot.
10 mil, yeah, that's a lot, yeah.
15 mil, but you forget the past three years of your life is gone.
All remember gone.
Past three.
Yeah.
So they were saying deal immediately, like no hesitation.
Make it 10?
Make it 10 years.
That's tough.
There's some good memories.
I think I'd have to say no to that.
Like, maybe if this would have been a question like three years ago or something,
but like, I don't know, these past three years, I feel like a lot has happened.
I've learned a lot.
So to not remember a lot of that is tough.
Yeah.
I'm going to say no.
You know, I got my dog.
I got to gauge.
So I'm like, I got to remember three years.
But I think 30 years?
Oh, my God.
at Greg gurg come on man
no no no no
it's not about the money at this point
all right
these two are tough
these two are tough and I don't
know if you'll do this
but screw I mean that's a 25 mil
you can retire with this money right
like 25 mil
you lose the sense of smell
I don't think I could do it
yeah
Because I don't know who's like had at the time if you've had COVID.
And like one of the things was like you couldn't smell.
I've had that.
I, it was horrible.
What was the thing that you couldn't?
Was it everything or was it like a specific thing that you couldn't?
It was everything for like a certain period.
It wasn't for too long.
It maybe lasts for like a couple weeks.
But like not being like food didn't taste the same.
Like just it was just weird.
I don't think I could do that again.
Yeah.
Oh man.
She's like for me.
I did the same thing.
Mine was a specific thing, which sucked.
It was garlic.
I couldn't taste or smell garlic.
And for those in context,
my favorite food,
basically my childhood is this thing called boiling crab.
It's a Cajun seafood boil thing.
Yeah,
of course, it's loaded in garlic.
And I was sick with COVID.
And I'm like, hey, can you go get me just like a small bag?
I just want to feel good, right?
Yeah.
I couldn't taste a single thing.
Oh, yeah.
And that broke my heart.
I think once you, maybe.
not knowing about it beforehand
I would have been like oh yeah 25 of course
but like experiencing it
and knowing what that would be like again I
couldn't do it
man that's tough yeah
sense of taste gone forever
can't do that yeah that's that's thing
yeah can't eat seafood
anything honestly I mean if you think about it
if you just do it and you just
do it based on health reasons like you won't have
delicious food so you'll just eat healthy then maybe
but like I love food too much
yeah me too I
I love food.
Yeah, I couldn't do it.
All right.
And for 40 mil, this is a tough one.
Honestly, I was thinking like, oh man, I thought we're going to say yes to a lot of these.
Honestly, I said a no to a lot more than I thought.
Yeah.
I don't know if you will like this since you're already a streamer, but for 40 million,
you must live stream every moment of your life for 10 years.
Every moment?
Every moment for 10 years.
So you're basically, you're, you know, you're streaming or you're sleeping or eating,
you're going to the gym, you're going to a game,
you have to IRL stream for 10 years,
a Truman show for 10 years, basically.
I couldn't do that.
Yeah.
There's no way.
No, that's tough.
10 years, yeah.
I think if it was...
10 years is a lot.
If it was...
I don't know, even...
Yeah, 10 years is a long time.
That's a long time.
Five years, maybe.
10 years is tough.
But it's 40 million.
Like, you're basically making...
4 million a year just a live street
and you don't have to do anything at that point
you're just living life you know
you don't have to do anything
I guess how many people are watching
I think of it is like a Truman show thing
where it's like some people are
some people are going to be watching some people aren't
it's going to be on but at least
you know at least a good amount
of people like maybe at least 100
let's say 100 people always be
yeah I don't know
I think I have I have to say no to that one
that one's a little tough
me that would be I think it'd be too awkward too weird yeah I I can't do Truman show it but
hey you're making out with at least 11 mil that's pretty dang good I'll take it I'm coming
with that's a win oh about 13 13 mil I'll take that I'll take that as well yeah oh not bad not
bad yeah all righty so let's see okay I'm gonna get into a couple announcements
Then I'll hand it back to you, Vera, for some of your announcements.
And then I'll give the secret code word for the giveaway, for those that are here.
So, first of all, we are having a ton of sales on NXC.
There's not one live right now, but in a couple days, there will be a N60 sale.

for that. It has the
an AMD Risen 7
9800 X3D
128 gigabytes of
DDR5 memory which everyone

As of right now we have an
Intel NCC Intel Club
I'm wearing their little Intel sweater

So we have a club going on right now.
Basically, you enter, you go to n60.co slash club, you sign up, and you participate in our committee to earn poochie points.
Cucci here, you see, and also right there as well.
Basically, you basically join these things, you get points, and the more points you earn, the more entries you get into certain giveaways.
You know, we have shirts, plushies, and the biggest price of all, we are giving away a piece of
PC every month, and NZC Intel PC every month.
So go to nzc.co slash club or estimation point club.
And I recommend if you guys are starting, start now, because the more entries you get now,
the more entries you get into the giveaway.
So do that now.
And for those that are here, we are strictly reducing it to US only as of now because of the terrorists.
But I'm literally lurking with lawyers and other things to get these global giveways
like happening again so please don't think I'm just giving you giving up on you guys I'm
working on it I got I have a lot of meetings with lawyers in the next couple of weeks so

but yeah we do have
that coming up and it'll be a lot of fun
awesome

so let me get this ready
but in the meantime, do you have any final thoughts or messages you like to share with the audience?
I mean, overall, I just want to say thank you for the opportunity and getting to be here.
It was a lot of fun.
The questions are really cool.
Just thank you again.
And anyone out there that is looking into becoming a streamer, wanting to try it, like, don't give up and set some goals for yourself, just give it a shot.
And if you ever have questions, like make sure, you know, reach out to people that you can.
don't hesitate to ask if you do have questions and please if you can and if you're able to apply
it to the to the guilds the Twitch guilds like I promise that stuff will will help you so much
if you're able to get in and there's a lot of really really nice people in there awesome so for
those that are here we are giving away three Intel shirts for a giveaway for those that are here
we basically give a secret code word that gives a thousand extra
entries into the giveaway. That's our way saying, you know, thank you for joining us and everything
like that and typing in chat and interacting with us.
Barrow, do you have an idea of what you'd like the code word to be?
Let's make it cool cat.

typing it because you have to refresh your gleams.
