Hello, listeners of the Off Menu podcast. It is Ed Gamble here from the Off Menu podcast.
I have a very exciting announcement. I have written my first ever book. I am absolutely
over the moon to announce this. I'm very, very proud of it. Of course, what else could
I write a book about? But food. My book is all about food. My life in food. How greedy
I am. What a greedy little boy I was. What a greedy adult I am. I think it's very funny.
I'm very proud of it. The book is called Glutton, the multi-course life of a very
greedy boy. And it's coming out this October, but it is available to pre-order now, wherever
you pre-order books from. And if you like my signature, I've done some signed copies,
which are exclusively available from Waterstones. But go and pre-order your copy of Glutton,
the multi-course life of a very greedy boy now. Please?
James, we have very exciting news. What is it? What is it, Ed? Are we finally going
to do a different podcast and stop all this food, Malarkey? No, sir. Not that exciting.
And you should know about this news because you've set some time aside. Because on Sunday,
the 24th of January at 7.30pm GMT, we are doing a live, streamed show, James. The Off
Menu Redemption Dinner Party, 7.30pm on the 24th of January. We're going to get a bunch
of guests, one by one, and give them a chance to redeem themselves because they made some
awful, disgusting choices when they were on the Off Menu Podcast. One by one, they get
their chance at redemption. And if they don't redeem themselves, let me tell you, I'm going
to throw them by the scruff of their neck into Trafalgar Square. We're giving them the
chance to change their order. Yes, and let's be clear. Most of these people are people
that I hate. Yes, James doesn't like them. I'll be honest, I'm not fully on board with
a lot of them. It's going to be quite an awkward evening. But what a lot of fun we'll
have otherwise. But here's something very important to note. It will not be available
as a podcast, James. This is a live stream show only. It's in the moment. It is live
and also 48 hours after the stream. Oh, man, this sounds very special. Ed, tell me this.
Does one pound from every ticket go to fair share? The UK's longest-won-in-food distribution
charity? Well, it wasn't going to, but now you've said that. You've really painted us
into a corner. I knew it. Tickets are on sale now from dice.fm and off-menu-podcast.co.uk.
The redemption never tasted so sweet.
Hello, it's me, Amy Gledhill. You might remember me from the best ever episode of Off Menu,
where Spurz and my mum and Astro about seaweed on mashed potato and our relationship's never
been the same since. And I am joined by... Me, Ian Smith. I would probably go bread.
I'm not going to spoil it in case... Get him on, James and Ed. But we're here, sneaking
in to your podcast experience to tell you about a new podcast that we're doing. It's called
Northern News. It's about all the news stories that we've missed out from the North because,
look, we're two Northerners, sure. But we've been living in London for a long time. The
news stories are funny. Quite a lot of them crimes. It's all kicking off. And that's
a new podcast called Northern News we'd love you to listen to. Maybe we'll get my mum
on. Get Gledhill's mum on every episode. That's Northern News. When's it out, Ian?
It's already out now, Amy! Is it? Yeah, get listening. There's probably a backlog. You've
left it so late.
