Off-Nominal - Donation Campaign Update!

Jake and Anthony stop by with a quick update on our donation campaign to help two wonderful organizations, Black Girls Code and the Banneker Institute. The response has been incredible so far, so let���s keep it up!

Hey, everybody. We wanted to just stop by and say that Anthony and I are pretty overwhelmed with the response so far in our fundraising campaign for Black Girls Code and the Bannaker Institute. The listeners, all of you, wow, like you have stepped up. We are, I don't think we imagine that it would take off this quickly. Anthony, I don't know, is this what you were had in mind for... No, this was approaching the number I thought we would get to eventually, but we're already like a couple of thousand in, yeah, in just a couple of days. So we wanted to say thank you, first of all.

You've really, really stepped up. And, you know, we had a lot of faith going into this that we had a really rock-solid community, but now we have measurable evidence that you are all great. So that's just fantastic. We also have some really great kind of updates to that campaign. We have had two anonymous listeners step forward and contribute to the matching fund. And we've also had our friend Tim Dodd, the everyday astronaut, joined forces with us to be a part of this campaign. So what that means is that we have much more in our matching funds.

So we thought that we were, well, we've already kind of hit Anthony and I's matching level. So, you know, we're out of cash now. But this means that the funding level for matching goes way higher. So there's still lots of time for you to come in and get twice the value of your dollar to help these great organizations fill up the pipeline for NASA.
