Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdad Sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.
Wine. Lots of Jane.
It's time for Off the Vine, Grape Therapy.
Welcome to your weekly session.
Caitlin and friends are here to share unfiltered advice, lots of laughs, and some major breaks.
So put your feet up, pop a cork, and get ready for some great therapy.
This episode of Off the Vine is brought to you by Peloton. Peloton workouts are made to work for you.

dot com slash home dash trial welcome to great therapy i'm your host katelyum bristow okay so i have not had the chance
to talk to these two in a hot minute and there was a lot to catch up on to say the least they just celebrated
their four year anniversary and in those four years they have done more than me three kids lots of content
a reality tv show and now an app that i just downloaded oh my gosh you guys are going to want to
do the same, and I wish I had thought to make this app myself. It is brilliant. So smart. Ari and
Lauren are giving me all the deeds on their relationship, what it's like parenting in the spotlight,
and a little BTS from Bachelor Days. It's kind of funny. And they give me and Jason some date night
ideas that I'm actually going to take them up on. This was such a fun combo. I know you guys will
love it, so please enjoy today's grape therapy with these two cuteies, Ari and Lauren.
how are you guys good how are you so good thank you so much for coming on yeah of course
okay you guys just celebrated your four year anniversary which is crazy to me because with
everything that you've done like you have three kids several businesses an app on the way
are you did like a murder mystery show i feel like you guys have been together for like a decade
do you guys feel like you've been together longer than four years oh yeah yes we've done a lot
of things in those four years.
I think that's an interesting, though.
I think we're just both very similar in the way that we'd love to stay busy.
And the fact that, you know, you add our three babies in the mix.
Time has gone by like that.
It's been crazy.
I don't get it.
Like I, Jason and I have also been together almost four years, which feels crazy to me.
And like, I can't imagine having three children in the mix of that because we are so busy
as are you guys.
And I just, I don't know how you do it, but we'll get into that.
Are you tired?
today no i think we're good general in general yes we got 730 every night we're just both like
hit our best out on the couch but same like 730 at night i'm done and i'm like gosh what am i going
to be like with kids do you have anything left on your bucket list that you still want to do oh yeah
yeah what's on the bucket list tell me well we want to travel more i think that was something that
really bonded us when we first got off the show.
We wanted to kind of continue that experience of being on the show.
We went to Iceland.
We went to Europe.
And then we went to Holland and then she got pregnant.
And then we traveled a lot with Alessi.
But now that the twins have been here, we've really, you know,
we still travel a little bit, but it's so hard with them.
So, yeah, I think our bucket list is like get the babies, passports,
and then travel as a family all over the world again.
Yeah. I think that's the biggest thing. Get this app up and running and then like he said, travel with the kids. That's, I mean, you guys are brave. Traveling with three children would scare the hell out of me. But you know what? I feel like that's such a good thing to be able to do, though, because one thing that I feel like has changed me as a person is traveling. And I wish I did more when I was younger because it really does just like, you know, you learn so much about different cultures. I feel like you grow as a person. And, you know,
And to do it as a kid, I feel like that's so good for them.
So you guys are brave, though.
Now, Ari, I have to talk to you about this show you were on The Traders.
It's an ultimate murder mystery game.
Okay, I haven't watched it, but now I want to because everyone on my Facebook group,
when I was asking for questions for you guys, they were so into the show.
And they said it was so good.
For people who don't know like me, what was the show about and what was your experience like?
It's almost like a real game of clue.
I would say, you know, just throw 30 people together in a castle in Scotland and then three people
are selected as traders. And it's your job to figure out who the traders are. And every day somebody
gets banished or murdered. And, you know, I'm figuratively speaking. Yeah. It's really interesting because
you really don't have much to go off of. So there's all this like suspicion on different people and you're
really kind of judging somebody off of their personality. And there's a really good mix of people from, you know,
obviously from Bravo like real housewives you have you know and then you have just people who haven't
been on TV before so it's it's it was a crazy fun yeah crazy fun show to do pretty stressful
to be away from her for a month she yeah made a job watching the babies on her own oh my gosh but yeah
it was it was it was I didn't know if it'd be popular or not it got binge dropped on peacock and so I was
like ah it's not on you know NBC so I don't know how many people are actually watch it but it actually is the
number one unscripted show ever on Peacock, which is pretty awesome.
Oh, that's cool.
Like, people were going nuts about how good this was, the show was.
Do you think there's going to be other seasons?
Like, actually, spoiler alert for anyone that's listening.
Like, maybe we should, you can fast forward this part, because I'm going to spoil something.
But I heard you quitted your, quitted?
Words are hard.
I heard you, like, took yourself out of the competition.
Yeah.
So at the end, basically, if there's a traitor,
left. Then they get all the money. If there's two traders left. And you were a trader?
And I was a trader at the end. Yeah. So. But it became a little bit more about the money than the
actual gameplay. And it was like who needed the money more. It just felt like it got very personal at
the end. So I decided to try to remove myself and give the remaining faithful a clue to
to out the remaining trader. And it didn't work in my favor. They didn't really catch my little
like clues that I dropped.
And I think a lot of people were a little confused of why I left,
but that was why I walked away at the end.
But it was an amazing experience.
And I think the show has been renewed for a season two.
So that would be interesting.
I'll definitely be watching.
It's not something I feel like as a player you could do more than once unless
like there's a lot of seasons to go back and maybe they bring in people from prior seasons.
But I think it's something where, you know, a new fresh.
cast will be introduced. So maybe you should. I know. I'm intrigued now. I'm like, wait,
wait, Lauren, would you ever do it? I don't think that I would be very good at it. I'm a terrible
liar. I'm not a liar either. But to my benefit, I was a faithful for like almost the entire
game and then I got recruited as a trader. So I didn't have to right at the end. So I had done all like
of a trust building.
Got it.
It's actually just like perfectly laid out for you.
It really was.
Well, I'm a Gemini, which means I'm a great liar.
So maybe I would be really good at that show.
Oh, no.
All three of our kids are Geminized too.
Are they real?
All three of your kids are Geminized?
Yes.
How fun.
I love Gemini's.
I mean, don't get me started, but I'm like tooting my own horn here.
But no, Gemini's are so great.
That's a, that's a lot of personality in one.
in one house.
Oh, yes.
Are they all big personalities like that?
Yeah.
I mean, they all have their own individual personalities.
Like, Senna is just like under the radar spicy, like sneaky spicy.
Like she'll just like gut punch Lux like when we're not looking.
And then Lux is just like always crying.
He's obsessed with me.
Like I'm not in his sight.
He's upset.
And then she's just the big sister.
She wants everything her way.
She's obsessed with daddy.
And, you know, just doesn't like to share very much.
And she has a huge personality.
She is like, so funnyest things.
Too funny.
Really?
Oh, I love that.
I keep like, I'm like, clock is ticking, Caitlin.
I'm not getting any younger and I'm on kids so bad.
Okay.
Actually, you know what?
Jason will kill me for saying this.
Or maybe he won't.
But the other day he was, he's always been like the traditional type where he says,
like, you got to get married first.
And I'm like, no, you don't.
Another day he sent me a random text out of nowhere.
He's like, should we just say, screw it and have a baby?
And I was like, what?
I think he was drunk, but that's okay.
So how was that like having Ari gone for a month?
Because that's a long time to be away.
Could you guys talk or anything?
Or was it like Bachelor where you're like, your phones are gone?
Well, I mean, in the beginning, I could talk to him when he first got there and then
they took the phones away.
So I was like sending him videos to send the producers to show him.
Yeah.
So yeah, we didn't talk for most of the time that he was gone.
It was kind of rough.
Yeah.
I think we had like one day a week where we had some downtime and, you know, we could talk,
but there was always somebody like standing there.
So it's not as intimate, you know, it's kind of like awkward almost because you can't talk
about what's happening like with your experience.
So you have to just really asking a lot about the kids, obviously.
But she had a good time.
She spent a month with her mom in Virginia Beach.
So.
Oh, nice.
So you had some help.
That's good because I was like, I don't know how anyone could do that by themselves.
Actually, a lot of my listeners were asking how you guys juggle everything because, I mean, you just have so much going on every day.
It must be like, it feels like a little bit of great chaos, exciting chaos.
But how do you guys do it?
How do you juggle everything?
Like, do you have help?
Yeah.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, we have a nanny that helps us now.
Amazing.
And then, like, we have family.
Our parents live nearby.
So they come over occasionally and take a last year, hang out with the babies.
so they definitely make that kind of stuff possible.
That's nice.
I feel like you need it.
Yeah, and Lessie just started to school.
She's in like preschool.
So it's cute.
She's gone three days a week like for a half day.
So we do a lot of work in that time.
And then the weekends are for our family.
Like we spend the time just with each other.
And so we try not to, you know, spend too much time away.
That's nice.
Do you guys have similar parenting styles like the two of you?
We're just talking about it.
Really?
I think in generally, yes, but she is a little bit of a micromanager.
Like today, she told me how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I was like, I think I got this.
I was like, you don't change what you're doing now, but for the future,
there should be peanut butter on both times.
Okay.
Well, sometimes the kids notice that stuff, too.
Like, a lot of kids that I find are so particular about what they eat.
But so would they notice if the peanut butter wasn't on?
on both sides?
No.
Okay.
It's just me.
That's funny.
Oh my gosh.
And then so a little bit of a micromanager and then what style are you, Ari?
No, no.
I feel like we're similar in like the way we parent Alessi and the babies.
I think it's just more or less like funny the between us.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're both like relaxed.
We like to have them figure things out on their own more and then we step in if they need this.
Yeah, well, I think we're, we discipline, but in more of like a calm, redirect kind of way.
Yeah.
It's hard because it's really hard to, you know, sometimes not leisure cool when they're all screaming.
As my dogs are like crying.
I am.
I will say.
Okay, Peloton workouts are made to work for you.
I know in the past I've definitely tried a few workouts that were not made to work for me,
like going to the gym and not knowing what I'm doing, even though I enjoy working out.
I just don't know where to start there.
or just taking a class that felt like, you know, it was a foreign language, but with Peloton, they really
make everything so convenient and accessible no matter what level you're at. And did you know, Peloton
actually makes a rower not just bikes. You should know if you've been listening to Off the Vine
and you don't have to be an experienced rower to enjoy the Peloton row. There are intro to rowing
classes and beginner boot camps so you can learn as you go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I love the Peloton row. I feel like it's just like the perfect full body workout.
The Peloton row also comes with this really cool feature called Form Assist.
So it's your very own partner in progress kind of thing.
It actually teaches you how to row by giving you real time correction on your stroke
and helps you spot points of improvement, making it the ultimate rowing partner.
And as always, with Peloton, no matter where you're starting from, Peloton's expert instructors
are there to guide you with their incredible energy and supportive instruction for every level
to really take the guesswork out of working out.
So you can try Peloton Row risk-free with a third.

Okay, my other question was how is it being parents on social media?
Because we all know there's a lot of shamers out there and trolls.
And I'm, he was so much love.
Like people love you guys as a family because you share so much.
And people love, you know, when you open up your home to them.
And I'm sure you get so much love.
But we all know that parenting on social media can be difficult.
So how do you guys deal with that?
Honestly, I feel like we have pretty thick skin at this point.
It used to bother us a lot more.
Yeah.
But sometimes they catch me on a day where I'm hormonal.
And I'm just like, why do they say that?
Same.
Yeah.
She's like, what do they need by this?
Like, do you think?
And I'm like, don't even pay attention.
It's like some Karen.
You know what I mean?
it's mostly honestly now that we have three kids people like to say that we have favorites if we
don't show them equally on social media or like don't you love your older daughter she was the
original one i'm like i'm so sorry oh my photos of her all the time but yeah you know it's just like
sometimes you get cute photos of one and sometimes you don't get them of the other one and that's
all it is it's not that we love anyone more than the other yeah of course like anyone that is
a human being a decent human being would know that it's it's so funny that people i just find it the
hardest on parents uh like the mommy shamers uh and the people who just like you can't do anything
right out there but i know you have like social media for your kids you have a youtube channel
what boundaries do you have in place as a family with social media like do you have times where
you're like no phones no this do you have anything like that i mean on the weekends like he said
we try to stay like more present and up being our phones like dinner time we plan the kids on the weekends
that we do with just them mostly and we don't do too many youtube videos i feel like there are more for us
to look back on like that's what i love most about our channel is just the fact that we can look
back at like a lessee's first birthday and like bigger moment um so that's really why we love doing
youtube i think that's kind of the main reason we post videos on there but yeah i think it's hard the
older they get, it's the harder it is for us to kind of be like, should we maybe take them off?
We've been talking about that more, especially when I think they're in school full time
without a and I don't know. I don't know if I want people to like know that much about them
when they're not with us all day. Yeah, that's so fair. And you guys will obviously make whatever
decision is best for you to. And if you decide that, but I just had so many parents that come on
the podcast or so many, you know, some of my friends who are on social media.
media who have kids, but I know it can be really hard when, like you said, they're in the
public eye and they don't really know at some points that they're in the public eye.
So have you ever considered, like, as a family, piecing out from social media or
YouTube, or you genuinely enjoy it?
Because I feel like you enjoy it and we love watching it.
Yeah.
Yeah, we enjoy it now, but I mean, I wouldn't be honest if I said that we were going to stay on
forever and we've always been.
I think we're like, I'm more than Ari, I think, kind of I'm like, I would love
to come up with an exit strategy.
Sometimes we're in public and people be like, oh my gosh, Alessie.
And then she'll be like so confused because she's like, you know me.
And even at her school, like we've just started sending her to school this past year.
And it was super weird because I would drop her off for school.
And there was this one dad in particular.
And if he's listening, then I want you to hear this.
Yeah.
He would be like, oh, my God, is that Alessie?
Is that Alessi?
All the moms were talking about her.
oh my god my gosh i needed this like three times when i'm like dropping her off at school and i'm like
she's like visibly confused she's like what's weird poor thing oh bless that's so she's probably like what
is happening like that must that feels like a little bit like crossing a boundary to me yeah that's
would you ever be like dude you're making me uncomfortable or maybe we'll just like maybe the moms
listen to this podcast and they'll be like oh shit that's my husband
Yeah, no, I mean, I told myself if it happened again, I would say something.
Yeah.
I thought it would just die down on its own, which it did.
Yeah, we haven't ran into him.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh, I want to say something to him.
But you really do, I want to say you really do such a good job of sharing your life with people and on Instagram and YouTube.
And it's so sweet.
Would you guys ever do a reality TV show?
I'm sure you've been asked this before.
Because I feel like you, that's a lot of work to put out.
So all this content where you just have like a camera crew.
in there and they have a little little reality show would you ever do that uh based around our app i think
that's what i don't think we want it to be all about us if we do something we want it to be like
something else so we don't have to be like the whole show yeah yeah a lot of pressure to carry a show
you know and then to cop up with story like we don't want added drama added to our lives just to make
a show interesting you know so i think it'd be great if we were part of something
thing, but not necessarily, not necessarily like the focus.
Yeah, that's what I've always said, too.
Like, it always freaked me out, obviously with our background of having the, being the
bachelor or a bachelor.
Like, it's, you feel so, like, manipulated at times.
And, and then they have to create all this, you know, crap for good TV, where I'm like,
I'm so jaded from that, but I would be so scared to have a reality show about myself because
I'd be like, what do you have to do to make this good TV?
I get the fear around that.
I want to know more about the app that you're creating.
It's called Duo, right?
Yeah.
So you're creating it together.
How did you come up with the concept
and tell everybody about it?
Well, it was honestly kind of random.
We were both on a run around the neighborhood
and we're like, we need to come up with something
that we could share with our audience
because we did presets in the past
and people really liked that.
So we're like, what could we do this?
Just like organic to us.
We're like big idea of people.
I feel like we always come up
with these ideas, and we don't always follow through.
Execute. Yeah, we're pretty poor at executing, but this is something we're like,
oh my gosh, this is like a great idea because we could, you know, give other couples this
experience that we had and give them date inspiration.
Yeah.
Kind of how it was born.
Yeah, and at the time, it was just after, I mean, it was still kind of like when you were
doing COVID interviews, I don't know, we were doing a lot of interviews during COVID for some
reason probably because we just had babies um we were doing these like really creative dates from our
backyard and things that are just like you know outside of the box and people were like how do you
come up with those ideas and for me it was just like something fun and I love surprising Ari and
it was just something that continued from for us off the show and we're like that's perfect we could
share this with other couples because I feel like a lot of people are looking for that kind of
inspiration oh that's so cute yeah I think a few things that we get
asked is like how do you keep it interesting you know after after days and everything and how do you
still continue to date and I think other questions we always get asked is like how did you guys
work as a couple when other couples from the franchise didn't work yeah it's like okay well
we kind of looked inward and I think a lot of it is because we take time for each other and we
continue to to date even though yeah and so the app is really fun because it's free to download
There's hundreds of date ideas on there.
And then there's also a section where you can order a surprise date.
And then one of us or one of our team members actually curate a date for you and your couple,
but for you and your partner.
What a brilliant idea.
I love this.
I'm like surprised that this is not already out there.
Like good for you guys for jumping on that because that's brilliant.
We were surprised too.
I was like, there's no way that someone's not already doing this.
And we looked and there isn't anything like it.
Yeah.
there's so many apps to meet somebody.
You know, there's obviously all these matching apps like Tinder and all that.
But there's nothing in the space of like, oh, what's a great date idea or plan a date
and there's just nothing out there.
And so there's this opportunity for us to fill that void and, you know, obviously
improve relationships.
And I think that is really important for us.
Yeah.
Oh, that's really, I actually can't wait to try that because, you know, Jason and I are always
in like different cities and doing like we when we come back together we're always like playing
freaking yachtsy and monopoly deal we need like new date ideas because we do the same things like
last night i think we stayed up to like one in the morning playing yachtsy like we need we're like
we're like 90 year old a 90 year old couple um but yeah we have monopoly deal we play that all
oh it's so good it's one of my favorite games um where did you guys find date planners expert date planners
is that like somebody's job so
a TV show you guys
have all heard of. We actually have a friend
who used to be a date producer
and we're always helping us.
And then we also have
other people that were in event planning
and just people that are really
creative that are helping us out too.
I think it's a good idea.
You know, the date ideas are one thing, but it's the creativity
and like the extra touches
that we put on the dates that make
them special.
Yeah. And it's really cool because the user actually
sets the budget. So like let's say you and Jason
want to go on a date and like my budget's you know 50 bucks like we'll make something happen for that
amount so the budget is set for the actual you set the budget for your date yeah I think one thing
that you probably could relate to on it too is like we sort of modeled it after our dating
experience on the show because I well at least for me as a contestant I showed up not knowing what
I was doing and this is kind of part of it and I feel like that bonded us together and
on the app, you show up not knowing what you're going to do.
So, like, you do an activity and you find out together what you're doing.
And then you have to unlock the second part to get the address.
So the second part is a complete surprise, too.
But it's like a meal or something like that.
Wow.
You guys, this is so great.
I'm, like, mad at myself for not thinking of it.
That's so cool.
And so it's called Duo.
It's free to download.
And is it like, like, could different relationships do that, like a friendship?
like could you plan dates for like your girlfriends yeah there's like there's a open section on the
bottom where you could note that if you wanted to plan one for your friends or mom or dad or something
so how how it works is basically you you hit the icon surprise date and then you go through a little
questionnaire and ask you like do you want to do something chill or maybe something physical
or indoors or outdoors and then you can specify like oh this is a best friend date or
this is a daddy daughter date or something like that oh cute just be a couple
That's awesome. I had Jay Shetty on the podcast recently, and he mentioned how important it is to continue to do like new exciting things and continue to date like you two are saying with your partners. So it gives you like new things to think about, to talk about. It's, you know, it keeps it like interesting and fun. And you also, you're always learning new things about each other, especially if you're putting yourself in like different situations. So that's what is the most fun date you two have ever done together?
oh my gosh i don't even know we've done so many random we've done like goat yoga in the backyard
that was really fun because you did goat yoga she literally had like i swear there was hundreds of goats
they were just running everywhere eating all of our plants they ate all my vines i was like no oh my
that's what you get for getting a hundred goats in your backyard i know we've done you know obviously
the more extravagant dates like you know catamaran and hawaii we did a hundred
hot air balloon ride in Holland.
Wow.
So we've done some pretty sweet dates.
What's your favorite one?
Well, most recently we did a date in Maui that was really special to us because it
was at the venue that we got ready at for our wedding.
But they like this little picnic and we just got to do it in the yard there and walk around.
It was that was like my favorite we've done recently.
Yeah, that one was super cool.
That's awesome.
It's funny because people always say when you come off the show like, what are you going
to do that you don't have these extravagant dates anymore and cameras and sharing and everything and
you're like actually we still do that yeah like the normal things are more exciting then actually
yeah that's true that's true okay everybody buckle the foot up because you know what time it is
time for a little zachular recap for my peloton romance round up and i may be coming in a few episodes late
this season but I am happy I caught this week's episode with the witch and the nudist like this is my
kind of romance Jason made a comment I think on Twitter and he's like watch Caitlin try and find a way
to get this witch onto her podcast and I was like you know what I am kind of down for that she was
the only woman I related to that whole episode but before we get into it a quick word about
peloton who sponsors our romance round up peloton workouts are made to work for you
They really have movement for every single level, no matter where you're at in your fitness journey.
And their rower works 86% of your muscles in just 15 minutes.
That's about how long it took Zach to go from competent to not competent in this connection with Jess.
Oh, sorry, Zach.
I know it's probably the editing.
But let's talk about this episode because it was a doozy Rooney.
Okay, Greer got the vid.
Coincidence?
But I don't know.
I mean, I don't think production handed Greer a couple.
of Zach's spit but I also
I also don't not think that
just kidding
it just seems a bit fishy to me after
last week's drama but hey the universe
works in mysterious ways
we all know that and I
still don't understand how Gabby
didn't get it and then Greer did
like Gabby was the one
with him on his date all night
he woke up sick
and she stayed healthy she is immune
that that girl is immune
also so she just gets to
gift the row ceremony and is safe another week why didn't they do more zooms no i'm glad they didn't
okay and then charity got the long awaited one-on-one date after hers was canceled last week
i need to know her skincare routine because that girl has zero pores none she is perfect i need to know
what everybody thinks about cat stealing zach before him and charity leave for their date i mean you've
got to know that was going to ruffle some feathers i kind of understand why she did it
because you kind of have to be ruthless and you do have the right to steal him at any moment
but you also can't be surprised if someone is offended or upset by that because everyone's emotions
you know are high they want that time too you're trying to respect the other girls at that point
um so anyways i want to know what you guys think about that so they go on their date riding the
carriage on the cobblestone roads of estonia of course they're excited to be there it's the perfect
place to fall in love you say that you could be an ios
it's the perfect place to fall in love then charity volunteers her and Zach for a wife-carrying race
where Zach lifts her upside down so she's nose to be whole just praying he doesn't let a toot go
they end the date with a heart-to-heart conversation and obviously she gets the rose next they have a
group date I loved it okay I would have been vibin with that witch so hard I would have been
fully invested in that process um Jess is the focus of the group date obviously because she's
Really? Oh, it broke my heart. She's so insecure about her relationship with Zach.
And they have a confusing as hell conversation where Zach starts off saying that like she hasn't
gotten a one-on-one date because he was confident in her and then ending it with I'm not so
confident in this. She's confused. He's confused. I'm confused. You're confused? I'm
fucking confused, bro. And then he doesn't give out of group date rows, which then confuses all the
other women, which I don't get. I'm like, he still had lovely conversations.
I guess there's always got to be one group date where I just can't give out the rose.
And finally, Ariel's date, I'm calling it now.
If her and Zach don't end up together, she's going to be the next bachelorette.
I don't know.
I love her.
She's got like an edge to her, but she's also sweet and sassy, beautiful, cute heart.
She's got that, you know, that guard up that we're going to see her let it down and then probably get heartbroken.
I don't know.
I just really love her.
Okay, and then it's cocktail hour time.
And Zach says, I see my wife in this room.
and I would like to let everybody know that you get points with producers every time you say that.
And you know what?
Who isn't in that room?
Because they have COVID.
Greer.
Okay?
Big yikes for her.
And then Charity asks to talk to Kat about what happened before her one-on-one and Brooklyn decides charity needs backup.
This is just unnecessary drama at this point to me.
But whatever.
Rose ceremony time.
He ends up sending Allie home.
She seems sweet, but you can just tell he wasn't, you know, feeling it in their last conversation.
and he's pretty easy to read, which I don't mind.
And like I said before, Greer somehow is safe from being sent home because she wasn't there.
They couldn't have like zoomed her in like they zoomed Zach in.
Come on, ABC.
Come on ABC.
But I do think romance is in the air for Zach based on what we see in the previews for next week.
I want to know what you guys think about this episode because mixed reviews.
And speaking of romance, you can try the Peloton Row, risk free with a 30-day home trial,
new members only not available in remote locations see additional terms at one palaton.com
slash home dash trial okay so i have a few questions from listeners um this one is a fellow twin
mom by the way of having twins is my dream that is my ultimate i want twins so bad um okay
fellow twin mom here curious to know what they plan to do to make each of their twins feel like
individuals will they put them in the same classes have that well there's
lot of questions in here. Have them in the same activities growing up? Do they take each twin on special
trips slash activities? We just talked about this. Yeah. I think for us it's a little bit easier because
we have boy girl twins. They're not identical. We kind of feel like they are individuals already
anyway. So that's how we treat them. Yeah. They're so different already. Yeah. I mean,
just having a boy versus girl is just so, I mean, Lux will just jump off anything without any sort of like.
but yeah i think we we talked about this because lux is very attached to lauren so this week
plan on taking him sort of just by himself and like go do some you know father father son stuff
i don't know chop some wood in the back yard yeah so like you know last week i took a lessee
so we do try to spend individual time with them yeah i think that's important yeah we do take them on
dates by themselves. But we were talking about sports. We were like, oh my gosh, because one of our friends
has older, you know, children and is like, oh my gosh, I'm driving here and I'm driving there and I'm
driving there. But we do want to put them in the same. Yeah, all three of them. If we can,
they will be doing the same thing. Yeah. I think that'd be sweet. That's, that's like easy on you
guys too because then you're not like, you know, my sister has two kids. One is in cheerleading and
the others in hockey and even that like two different sports in the same household she's like
i'm going crazy i can't do it it's it's a lot okay this is exciting how is the house hunting going
in nashville someone wants to know how is it going it's definitely on pause we had we honestly
had like a nightmare trip there the kids were oh no it was raining everyone was just like i don't know
why they all lost their crap and oh no it's a lot for us so we were just like all right we're going
to put this on hold and focus on the app and then we'll figure it out later it's just not a priority
for us right now yeah there wasn't in time where Lauren was very intimate Nashville but she's
cooled off on it a little bit yeah okay that I didn't know that you guys were looking but that you
please come here it's the best city I love it um okay someone said asked Lauren about dealing with
age gap stigma I'm in the same situation do you guys is that a thing I don't feel like people
realize we're that far apart until we say it i didn't know that wait what is the age gap i don't care about
yeah yeah i feel like like maturity-wise we're like right yeah true i'm probably less i'm less mature
that's jason's four years younger than me and 10 times more mature than i am
it works i don't know the only time we feel like a gap is like a like a movie or like music or something
She was like, what? I was like 10.
I'm like, that's hilarious. Oh, I don't think 10 years is a big deal at all.

We do every podcast we have our guests confess something to us, something embarrassing,
something that you haven't shared before. We've gotten a lot of stories from like either
pooping your pants to like a mommy confession, anything goes here. So
okay now is your time to get it off your chest okay all right you're going to go for it you started on
okay um okay so Ari and I had just gotten engaged on the show yeah and decided to take a trip to
where Barcelona Barcelona yeah and we're seeing this beautiful it was like a hotel that had this
tower and we had like our own room up in this tower and it was absolutely gorgeous great views and
we decided we wanted to take a sunset photo on the rooftop so ari's like literally setting this
tripod up for an hour I feel like and I'm just sitting there waiting and all of a sudden he's like
okay the timer's set ready set go and I'm like sitting there he runs jumps like racks his nuts on
the wall yeah and then what happened well that wasn't even the worst part of it for some reason
the feeling of like when a guy does that and like goes into your stomach yeah feel so well so i go down
to the room and i just have like insane diarrhea but like no like throwing out diarrhea and then i was all
night engaged this is like our first trip away like first like time spent together consecutively for a while
yeah no you got to know each other at a whole other level pretty quick yeah that's so you hit your
nutsack so hard that you had diarrhea
barfing all from like trying
to just take a romantic sunset photo
yeah I think so
or something I ate or maybe just a
combination of both I don't know we still
got the photo though
I was just gonna ask if you got
the photo you really did
yeah is it like are you like
pale and like not feeling
or is it like
missing em so you can't
yeah that is hilarious
my gosh that's a good
I don't feel like we have too many untold stories because we share everything.
We're pretty open, honestly.
Yeah, I share everything as well.
So I'm like, I always find it hard to come up with something that people don't know about me.
I'm like, everyone knows everything about me anyways.
It's fine.
And then one of my favorite games to play is two truths and a lie because I feel like I get to know more about you guys.
And again, it's another way for people to learn things about you that they might not already know.
So it's a classic game.
You just come up with two truths, one lie.
the other one has to guess which one is the lie okay do you have it yeah okay you go first okay so
i was on the bowling team in high school i'm a second-degree black belt and i was initially a
biology major in college i got i feel like the bowling is not right but i'm so good at bowling
no i thought you how to go on the bathroom didn't i mean kind of that was maybe just so i could get
Oh, the bowling date.
I remember that one.
Wait, wait.
So is that the lie?
Yeah.
He knows me too well, I guess.
Okay, you want to hear mine?
Yeah.
Okay.
I lost my virginity at 16.
Okay.
My first kiss was playing spin the bottle.
Okay.
My first girlfriend's name was Lauren.
Your first girlfriend's name was not Lauren.
Oh, that's right.
You said that.
You didn't even hesitate.
Tate, you just knew.
Because I've heard the other two stories before.
I didn't know if you need the spin bottle one.
I want to, wait, I want to come up with one and then you guys have to guess what kind
is.
Wait, this is hard.
Madison, help me come up with a lie and I'll come up with my two truths.
Okay, I'll message you.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
I'm really big into manifesting.
Like, for example, oh, my gosh.
just looked at my screenshots from 2011 and I was manifesting back in 2011 that I at one point in my life
was going to get a like 67 old school Bronco baby blue. I had the screenshot of it. It was on my
vision board and I just like thought about it all the time. I printed it out actually at one point
in my life and had it in my room. And four days ago, I got a 74 custom built Bronco.
baby blue.
Nice.
Thank you.
I'm so excited.
And I just, so many things.
Like I had a picture of, I still have it, actually.
I have a picture of a mirror ball on my mirror.
And that was before I even knew I was going to go on dancing with the stars.
And then I got the mirror ball.
Like I really visualize things and like feel it with all my bones.
So we're going to manifest for you what celebrity couple or best friends, celebrity best
friends duo that you'd like to have used the app.
Oh, we've already found this.
I know. I honestly, my dream couple is Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
Ah, that's a good. They live in Nashville.
Oh.
Also, wait. Also, my Bronco was being built next to their new Bronco that they're getting built at the same place that I did.
So maybe this is all just like universe is already working.
It's already conspiring to make it.
It really, it's already conspiring. Okay, that's a good one.
I'm trying to think of what celebrity. Oh, Courtney and Travis Barclay.
That would be great, too.
That would be great, too.
We could put something really off the wall for them, I feel like.
Yeah.
Like, go get tattoos, and they would.
I feel like that would be too normal.
Too normal.
For that, yeah, true.
Like, of course they did.
That's true.
That's true.
Okay.
Wait, did we have the...
Okay, we've got it.
Okay.
So here are my two truths and one lie.
I got, yeah, I got to get focused because you can't read it on my face.
I'll make it Bachelor theme because that makes it easier.
When I was the Bachelorette, I snuck out of my room and knew where all the guys were sleeping and went and woke each one of them up in the middle of the night.
Um, on my first date, she's trying so hard.
I really am.
Second one's a lie.
I was suck at this
you are the worst hunker base ever
I am never doing this game again
I literally was trying because
because also I was trying to read Madison's lie
so then I'm like sitting here like reading
on my first date and I'm like
well they're going to know I'm lying because I'm reading it
okay screw this I'm done
that's it
I'm done oh my gosh
wake them all up though
I did I was I was so
over the like me not being able to talk to any of them unless it was on camera and I was like this is my only
opportunity is for it to be the middle of the night when everybody's sleeping producers are sleeping my
handler is not in my room and so I was just like well I know where they're sleeping they're on the floor
below me and you know how on the show they keep all the doors unlocked like they put the lock
open so that producers can come in and out if they need to so so I was like well I'll know that what
like rooms it is because they'll be unlocked. And so I went down and I went into each guy's room
and was like, hey, wake up. And they were like, what the hell are you doing? And they're like,
some of them had rooms by themselves. Some were rooming with other people. And I just like honestly
went in each room and like hung out and talked and like asked them questions and was like,
so what's going on? Like who's the drama in the house? So like who's doing this? And who do I
need to send home. Okay. So when I was going through my experience, I heard how much of like a
disruption you were to production. They're like, oh my gosh, healing. Oh, it was so hard. She was so
difficult. I heard so many stories about your season. Yeah, I was the worst. I truly was the worst,
which is funny because I think on, they didn't expect it from me because when I was a contestant on
the bachelor. I followed every rule and was like such a like rule follower and I was so nervous
to like disappoint anybody. And they're like, oh, you're so Canadian. Like you just, you, you're so
nice and you follow all the rules. And, and then as the bachelor, and I was just like,
whew, peep, pooh, like doing whatever the hell I wanted. It was, um, it was so funny. Did you guys
do anything crazy on your season where you like snuck out or like you didn't follow the rules or you
got in trouble? I got trouble all the time.
Well, I called Ari.
Like, I figured out what hotel he was staying in in Peru.
So I called my front desk, had them connect me.
And then I knew what room number he was in.
So I just asked to be connected to his room number.
Yeah.
When I was had something like me, she called like at the worst time.
Yeah.
Producers was like right next.
But I still talk to him.
But I didn't say, like, once I got him on the phone, I was like,
Hi.
I was like, hey.
Nothing really.
like useful nothing profound
there should have
planned it better
I was surprised at work actually
they didn't take out your phones in the rooms
they did after that yeah oh okay I was going to say
they always took one time they forgot
and they left like the
there was like an iPad in the hotel room
and I like started
the only thing I could log into
somehow was Twitter I'm not sure why
this was a long time ago
but I like started like DMing all my friends
being like hey Google this person
And like, I mean, no, and I got caught with that too.
I got caught with everything.
Like, I swear they had hidden cameras in my rooms.
Okay, before I let you go, I just wanted you guys to give me and Jason one date idea for this weekend.
Oh.
Hmm.
Okay.
Do you want it to be more, like, thrilling or romantic?
Like, what is your vibe?
Um, we're like pretty chill and we want something romantic.
Chill, romantic.
Well, you could do, yeah, in Nashville.
Doing a hot air balloon and having it land and have your own picnic set up for you would be pretty amazing.
That is a good idea.
I've actually looked into hot air balloons in Nashville before and we do that.
But you know what?
I actually booked that once years ago, but the weather had to cancel it.
So that's a good idea.
I should redo it.
Because there's no real mountains in Nashville, right?
So there's no like, you couldn't like go repelling or.
No.
I feel like you should read, basically.
your bachelor at roots and maybe take a helicopter ride, you know, and then have a land and have a
picnic or something like that, something private. I like that because then we could set up like my,
I obviously have my own wine label, so then we'll just bring spayed and sparrows and then have wine
when we land and a little picnic. I actually am going to do the hot air balloon. I hope you can't
hear me because I'm going to make it a surprise. There you go. That's cute. Maybe I'll like it,
like, you know how they have a hot tub on every bachelor date, like just randomly set up.
at like in the middle of nowhere.
That's what I'll do.
Yeah, there's just always conveniently a hot tub.
Like they, do you know that they travel with it?
They travel with a hot tub?
Like when I was hosting in, well, I guess maybe that's because we were just stuck in one place
because it was COVID.
But they would like, I like heard the beep, beep of a truck backing up once and they like
put down the hot tub and they brought it in from like L.A.
And it was like the same wooden hot tub that they used for all these days.
It was crazy.
I was like, what, you travel with it?
Weird. That is so random.
That's it. But I think you should download the app and then just go through the sequence and we'll plan it for you. So it's a complete surprise for you and Jason.
Okay. I love that. I'm so happy for you guys. You guys are crushing it and we love following you. And it's so, it's just so sweet. You guys are such a sweet family and a sweet couple. And I appreciate you taking the time to come on the pod today and deal with my crazy ass today. I'm all over the place.
Oh, it's been fun. Yeah. We had a blast. Thank you.
Everybody go download the app.
app, I'm going to do it right now, and then I'll keep everybody posted on how my date goes.
Okay.
Sounds good.
Thank you.
Awesome.
