Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.

about clothes. We all have them. We all wear them. At least that's the socially acceptable thing to
do. When I sit down to podcast, you know I'm wearing comfy ones. And lately those comfy clothes I
put on have been from Express. And if you haven't checked out their website or social media
in a while, please do so immediately. Well, I mean after you finish the podcast, because Express is
all new with an assortment of casual, versatile, and super comfortable styles for no
matter what you have going on in your life. They have blazers and cute tops for those Zoom meetings.
We're all stuck in every day. And they also have comfy joggers and essential teas like the one I
actually have on right now. There have been so many times in the past where I'll be wearing a really
cute outfit. And I know I look good, but I don't exactly feel good because if we're being honest,
cute clothes aren't always comfortable. It's important to have both. You want to look good and feel good.
And I love that Express is all about comfort. So even if you're wearing a really beautiful top,
you still are comfortable.
Their looks are also super flattering.
I love the way my joggers fit me
to make me feel like I'm not just a little old slob over here.
I actually look pretty cute if I do say so myself.
Seriously, they have something for everyone and every style,
every occasion from going out with your friends to going into the office,
if that's something that you're doing these days.
Go check out their website, find something you love,

Caitlin is creating a space where girls and gents can feel empowered to be themselves.
Get ready for lots of laughs.
Tabby topics, on filtered advice, and wine.
Lots of wine.
Get ready to shake things up.
Here's Caitlin.
Hi.
Hello?
What was that noise?
Wait, I got to start my video.
Oh, look at those cute overalls.
What's it?
Oh, my God, you are, that it looks like something I want to wear.
You can wear them, you can bar them.
I am covering up the quarantine 15.
The what now?
The quarantine 15.
Is that a thing?
It is now.
What is the quarantine 15?
Like the college thing?
Yeah, but, you know, it's when you gain weight in the quarantine.
But wouldn't it be quarantine?
Um, COVID 19? You gain like 19 pounds. It's the quarantine 19. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Are we recording? Yeah, we're recording. Got it. Got it. I just like to jump right into it. Hi. Wait, where are you? I don't know what's going on. Oh, hi. I don't know why you were behind something and I was just staring at an empty screen. Oh, that's fun. Um, you're in my city. My city. I'm in your city. You're in my city. I feel like this is like,
home now even though this apartment the apartment life with two big dogs is very challenging i actually don't
know how you're doing that well jason is i basically feel like i'm just at the dance studio and jason is
just like the ultimate dog dad lately so that's so cool though that he's that he gets to come with you
because when i was in bagis matt couldn't come with me what was like oh yeah okay how the how long were
you there for again nine weeks okay so i was in bagas for nine weeks okay and you had to be
completely quarantined i know we've talked about this before but obviously the podcast listeners
might not know but you were filming for nine weeks and you couldn't leave your bubble like
like literally couldn't see your fiancee for nine weeks you couldn't even go to the grocery
store right nope i mean did you go a little bit cray you know what's so weird is like
I mentally like prepared myself for it in a way that I don't even know how to tell someone to do what I did, but I was like, I am not going to say one negative thing about this experience because that's going to make it worse. So you can easily get super negative about not being able to actually leave the building. Those thoughts definitely came up in my brain and in my like body. But to be honest with you,
I didn't say one negative thing about it the entire time I was there.
And I even told the people around me respectfully,
I was like, can we not, I said to my,
the girl that came with me to do my makeup and my hair.
I was like,
we are not going to talk about how this might be super weird.
Or, you know,
if we're feeling weird,
obviously let's talk to each other about it.
But I don't want to continuously say bad things about it.
It's only going to make it worse.
And to be honest with you, it was totally fine.
Wow.
That's actually, that's just a good life lesson.
I feel like if you, because negative, I'm kind of the same way.
Like if something's bothering me, I'm like, I'm not going to listen to a sad song.
I'm not going to like do all these things because that's just going to make it worse.
And you have to just think positively, especially when you knew like, I mean, it's obviously
so cool that they want you to be the host of Love Island.
You do such a great job.
It's, it's, you know you're there for.
temporary like nine weeks that you'll be able to come back home and i mean i feel like the
whole world right now is just like trying to not be negative but it's so hard well yeah exactly i
think like a little bit of the like ah was um was also that like well this is hard to explain but
anyway i know you know what no it was great but having my dog there was a game changer because
last year in Fiji, I didn't have my dog. And it almost felt more like quarantine without her. But we were in Fiji. This time, the panic was taken away by having my dog with me and also having my car with me. Just knowing that I could literally bust out of there, just like run the gates down. Like I would do that. But like, I could always get in my car and I could leave. But I mean, I wouldn't do that. I would ruin production.
But, like, just knowing that I had my car was actually, like, kind of nice.
I get what you mean.
Have you ever seen the movie called Vovarium?
No.
Oh, my gosh.
It's so creepy.
You need to watch it.
It's like, they drive.
I like creepy movies.
Okay, then you will not like this.
It was so weird.
They, like, drive into this, like, really, like, cookie cutter neighborhood.
And everybody's so weird.
And it ends up being, like, a social experiment.
And they, like, get locked in this neighborhood.
And there's no way out.
and they have to raise a child to get out it's crazy okay don't do that but they had a car and it like
made them feel somewhat sane to go sit in their car and listen to music or something okay so i kind of
did that when i was in Vegas like where we could hang out was this like weird little parking lot
it was a parking lot and you i talked to you about it i showed you it was a parking lot that was
created into a lounge um and it was 120 degrees so no one ever was out there and when i'd take my dog out there
I'd have to take her for five seconds because it was just too hot.
And I'd put these little shoes on her so that her feet didn't burn.
And, but every once in a while, I could just, my car was on that, in that same parking lot.
So I would just sit in my car and, like, blast the AC and just kind of just be in the car.
And she'd fall asleep in the car.
And it was like, it was like a little thing that kind of helped too.
A little, a little bit of normalcy.
Yeah.
Just being in a car.
Okay.
So when you start, when everybody started quarantine, it was like,
oh my gosh people who are in relationships were like i'm spending every second with this person then
you're having to go away and do nine weeks without your person did that make you guys just like
miss each other and fall so much more in love you know what's so weird is like i've never been away
from matt for longer than a few days in the entire time i've known him like the only time i've
ever really been away from him even as friends was if i went on a trip or something for like a week
and then even then I like came back and we saw each other so nine weeks was a lot um but no it just
I missed him so much that every day I was just like okay I really want to come back to see you but like
I also had to like stay in that that mental space of like don't go crazy missing someone just like
just do the job get it over with this is great we're so I'm so lucky to be working I'm so
blessed to even have the job that I have right now because who's working during a
pandemic. Things are starting to pick up again. But at that time when I, when I was told I was
going to Vegas, I was like, none of my friends were working. So I was just like, okay, thank God for
this. But, but yeah, I definitely missed him. And when I got back, I felt like I was in heaven.
Like, I walked into my house and I was like, is this what heaven feels like? And like,
hugging him was like the best thing ever because I realized I didn't give anybody a hug for nine
weeks because no one was we all had to be even on set we were social distancing i mean i hugged
some of the contestants every once in a while you know if i kicked them off i'd hug them but it's not
the same as hugging someone you love it was a pity hug and it was like you're a cast member
get over here you like a nuggie almost and then yeah yeah you little nick boy yeah exactly so like
hugging him i was like oh my god this is what soulmates feel like like it's like oh my heart yeah
It was crazy.
That's actually so cute.
I can't even tell you what it felt like walking into my house.
Yeah.
The feeling of walking into your house after not seeing it for that long is crazy and you're
probably going to feel it.
But you're not as locked down as I was.
No.
I mean, it's getting actually, as the weeks go on, I think there being more and more not, I
mean, I guess paranoid, but that's a good thing because now it's like, I mean, we can't
even do press or me.
media or interviews or anything around anyone else.
But we can go to the grocery store.
Like, I can't imagine not going to the grocery store or doing anything for nine weeks.
Did that time go by fast or, like, extremely slow?
It's so weird.
It was both.
Like, the last week, I think I talked to you on the phone, was the slowest week of my
life.
And it was as if, like, everyone was moving in slow motion.
but the first the first six weeks first seven weeks i was like i've been here for seven weeks i like
couldn't yeah i couldn't even comprehend how that was possible because it felt like a week yeah that's how i
feel right now with they're like because each week they prep us for like okay so next week it's
going to be like 80s night or the week after that and then they're like and next week you're halfway
through and i'm like what it's halfway through already like you're already halfway through next week will be
halfway and that like makes me depressed because i never want it to end like i want to be here forever
and i just don't even like i just want to be here forever dancing by the way you're crushing
it i love watching you watch dancing your instagram stories of you watching that must be fun
for you too because i mean you know some of the dancers we're friends derrick is one of the judges now
he's one of your guys as good friends and is that just so fun to watch him as a judge it's so much fun
And so when Julianne was a judge, that was really fun because I'm really good friends with her.
And now Derek's a judge, so I get to watch him.
I'm friends with you.
I'm friends with Neve.
Emma, Sasha, Jeannie Mai.
Literally, like, I feel like everyone on that show right now is like a friend of mine.
And I'm just watching all my friends dance with each other.
I'm like, how come I wasn't invited to this dance party?
Yeah, you need to go on this show.
Oh, my gosh, you would crush on the show too because you're a good dancer.
you have the best personality and you'd be fun to watch but who are you voting for is the real
question well you okay but would you say that if um if genie was asking you yes yes i was
no so um i i you are my friend that i i like hang out with and talk to right like you're my
you're my freaking vote you're you know i'm your um sis you're my freaking vote sis yeah i'm your
Yeah, sis.
Okay, fine.
Okay, we'll get back to the podcast in a second.
Life is complicated, especially right now.
The last thing I want to add to my to-do list is grocery shopping or meal planning and
prepping and cooking.
I want to eat delicious food and I don't want to be stuck with takeout every single meal.
And that's where freshly comes in.
Freshly takes meal prep off my plate, pun intended.
Freshly understands that food needs to be delicious, healthy, and simple.
because let's be honest, if it's not easy, I'm not going to do it, especially right now.
I'm tired.
I'm not Gordon Ramsey, Guy Fieri, whatever his name is over here, okay?
Also, if it doesn't taste good, I don't want to eat it.
I love food and I want to enjoy when it actually tastes good.
With Freshly, you can avoid the grocery store, yes, please, especially right now,
and enjoy fully prepared dinners delivered fresh, not frozen, right to your door,
plus I love things that come straight to me.
We all know that.
Freshly chefs and nutritionists do all the hard work.
for you. All you do is heat for three minutes and dinner is done. Even I can make that work.
Some of their 30 plus health conscious options include golden oven fried chicken, creamy springtime
risotto, and fall apart tender beef brisket, join almost one and a half million satisfied

$40 off for their first two orders at freshly.com slash vine. That's freshly.com slash vine.
Can you tell Derek to not be so hard on me sometimes?
Is he hard on you?
No, he only was one time because I had like a messed up ankle and I couldn't put on shoes.
I could like the doctor was like, do not put on those heels.
So I had to dance in bare feet.
And it was a rumba and it was to Moana.
So we're like, oh, well, both dance in bare feet.
It's like a Hawaiian thing.
And he said, I got to disagree.
It's a rumba.
You need to put the shoes on.
And I was like, oh, I can't like my ankle.
And he goes, I can't, Derek.
I can't do it.
And he literally was like, okay, I feel you, but I'm still going to dock you a point.
And I was like, oh, shit.
You know what's weird is, like, I feel like dancers in general, they're like, oh, yeah, my leg is broken.
And I still did the dance.
And you're like, what?
And then, like, you and I are like, my pinky hurts.
And then we're like, I can't dance.
But, like, professional dancers are like, no, the show must go on, which is literally where
that saying probably came from.
that's so true jason was saying that actually he was like it's so crazy because athletes get hurt and they need to like go recover and they get like carried out of the game on like a tractor and dancer i don't know if you watch sports but it's time they don't get carried off on a tractor
key what's the thing they pull on football games if there's an injury they like literally have a little four-wheeler and they pull them off a gurney oh is that what is i don't know
A gurney?
A gurney is from, like, Gray's Anatomy.
Isn't that what it's called?
I don't know.
It's like a quad, like a tractor.
A four by four quad.
I seriously have zero clue what it's called.
It's not a tractor, that's for sure.
Okay, fine.
But it's like one.
And they pull them off.
You can't do that in the middle of a dance performance.
Dancers literally, that's right.
The show must go on.
Broadway performers, everything, they just.
push through and i was getting um worked on and like a massage and they they were feeling my um wow
what's that muscle called um calf muscle a calf and he was like are you in so much pain when
i'm doing this and i'm like yeah and he goes dancers are literally the toughest people like their
bodies just go through so much and they're just like whatever like yeah oh i know i know i know
No, I went and saw Sam Smith at the, at the, what do you call it?
He's not a dancer, but I'm segueing into something else.
But I went and saw Sam Smith at the Hollywood Bowl.
And afterwards, everyone was like, that was incredible.
Oh, my God.
Found out, like, that night that he had the worst flu of his life.
And he was like, it was the best concert I've ever been to in my life.
And I'm like, this fool has the full.
flu like i wouldn't even go to the concert like let alone perform the best performance of my life
like it's so wild these performers are crazy and it must be like adrenaline too but still yeah that's true
i always think about how you know how people always say like man colds are a thing and men become
like such babies when they're sick yes no that's me i am literally such a baby when i'm sick and like
so needy and jason's the opposite he's like
I just want to be left alone. I'll get through this. It's fine.
That's how Matt is. Like, if I'm like, are you okay? He's like, don't look at me.
I'm like, oh. Like, he just doesn't want attention. He doesn't want attention on his birthday.
He doesn't want attention when he's sick. If he, if, if he like, you know when you swallow something the wrong way and it like makes you cough?
That's like his most vulnerable is like when that happens to him. So like he'll swallow something and be like,
and he's like, don't look at me. And I'm like, oh.
He just doesn't want attention at all.
But then he also wants you to like, like his Instagram picture.
I was going to say his wean wants attention in that pelvis thrusting video.
Am I allowed to say that?
Am I allowed to talk about Matt's ween?
Gay, what the heck inspired that is the best thing I've ever seen in my life.
It's like going viral.
I watch it every day.
It's so funny.
So that guy, the other guy in it,
he the other crew of dudes yeah the main guy in that i think his name is like i am choco or something on
instagram so that guy um he started this character that like pelvic thrusts around town apparently
and he's been doing that for a while on instagram and then the black eyed peas actually just had
him in their music video and he choreographed their music video with that trusting man and then
Matt somehow found him and wanted to just merge the two videos, which he did, and it came out so funny.
Oh, it's, it's honestly just, like, even my best friends back home are talking about that video.
And it's so, it's just so, it's so simple and so funny.
And I can't stop watching it.
I just laugh so hard.
And then Derek Huff did one.
I know.
Matt filmed that.
Oh, he did?
Oh, my gosh.
It's so, it's just so, I don't know, whatever you guys do.
It's always so funny, but that one just, it really got me.
Oh, thanks.
Yeah.
You guys are, what was the recent one you guys did?
I was dying.
Oh, your TikTok dance one where you're like looking all hot and doing the thing that all
a sudden Matt pops out behind you and he's like a hot girl.
What is this new character he's doing?
Well, he just posted a video today where he's like roller skating.
Awesome.
And I was like, we got to freaking take advantage of this.
you having a lot of makeup on right now so we're doing a TikTok day we did that um but no I did his
makeup yesterday and it was so fun oh I love that I love doing people's makeup and then especially his
because he like gets really he gets really into it he's like what is that I'm like this is a highlighter
and like I'm like you know I'm very gentle with him it's so fun did you guys film you doing his
makeup like I wish we will though we
We've talked about it before, but we just, yeah.
Yesterday, he was in like a hurry.
I'm like, really?
You're in a hurry?
Where are you got to be?
Yeah.
And his roller skates.
We'll be back with more Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.
You're listening to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.
Okay, I have to just talk about this embarrassing story because we'll do the part of the podcast where we confess.
because i can't believe it well i forget about confessing well it's okay if you don't have one i've
usually don't have one and i've got you covered this time but if you think of something embarrassing
like anything like behind the scenes of love island did you trip like i got stuff okay okay good
this this one's really embarrassing because i didn't think i was going to ever go through with it but it's
gotten to the point where it's that bad that I had to.
I was talking to, you know, Kelty Knight?
Yeah.
Okay.
So do you know that her and I, like, grew up together?
Really?
Yeah, like, I have a picture of us when we were like little and our, our moms were best
friends and, yeah, it's a whole thing.
And so she was telling me, she, because she watches dancing and she was a dancer.
And I was talking about how bad my blisters were.
And she was like, you got to pee on them.
And I was like, what?
I'm like, no, I think you're confused with like a jellyfish bite.
And she was like, no, she's like, it does the same thing for blisters.
She goes, you literally pee on toilet paper like a lot of it and soak the toilet
your face right now.
I'm telling you, though, I'm, this is, it's embarrassing.
I'm, I can't believe I'm saying it's allowed.
Yeah.
I did it.
And it healed my blisters.
F up. I'm not even joking. She said you get it really all nice and wet lack and you just.
I hate it. I hate it. Try doing it. I hated it too. But guess what?
Well, I have a little blister and I'm going to pee tonight all over it. Do it. And then it'll be gone in the morning.
No.
Wait, I got a confession?
Yeah, I peed on toilet paper last night and I dabbed my heels and I look at it.
Okay, I don't know if you can see.
Yeah, show.
Wait.
That was like an open wound last night, and now it's like, look, I'm rubbing it, and I feel nothing.
I'm sicken to my core.
Yeah, you should be, but it works.
Look, I'm rubbing it.
Look, I'm rubbing it right now.
Like, okay.
Like, you still.
Look, check it out.
I'm rubbing it off.
Look, look like a Flintstone's foot.
Oh, it does look like a Flintstone's foot.
Ew, dude.
Is mine cute?
Look at that.
You have a tiny little cute feet.
What's that tattoo you got there?
Oh, you want to know about that one?
That's an ex-boyfriend's initials, which is another confession.
But it was my boyfriend's initials, and it was also my best friend's initials.
But now obviously he's gone and my best friend got married.
So her last name isn't, doesn't start.
But it's a J and a K.
so now it's Jason and Caitlin it's so it was actually meant to be yeah and get a load of this I have
this tattoo wait it says jk yeah I don't want to talk about it I don't want to talk about it um you do
jk oh well I know that's yeah like just kidding um touching my hair right now because it's freshly washed
and I feel like I keep touching it and I'm sorry I'm being annoying I didn't even notice I always touch
my hair it's fine um I have another really bad tattoo behind my ear and um it's
not all your cats.
No, this is so bad.
It's music notes and stars and it just was like really poorly done.
And then I was like going to get it removed.
And then now I'm like, wait a second, dancing with the stars.
Music notes and stars, it's meant to be.
Let's take a break.
How do you banish high rates on car insurance?
You switch to Geicoe during Geico ween.
October is their favorite time of year.
And the folks over at Geico have been working even harder to cast.
out high rates and craft just the right policy for you and your family.
Switching to GEICO isn't so scary, especially when they could brew up spellbinding savings
just for you.
So get a quote today at GEICO.com and see just how much you could save.
No eye of Newt needed.
So happy GEICO wean, everyone.
Okay, tell me your confession.
Well, this isn't like really a confession.
well it was okay so the first episode was um the first episode of love island we were shooting outside
everything's shot outside actually but we were shooting in 119 degrees the floor oh the temperature checked
the floor the astro turf was 180 degrees you sit one eight zero that's really freaking hot if you
even touched the floor with your foot, you would just scorch your foot off.
So, like, we had to, like, set everybody, all the girls stood in the pool
because it was just too hot to stand on the ground.
I had to stand on this little wooden thing because the ground was too hot to stand on.
That's how hot it was.
So we're sitting there, and I'm, like, I'm sitting there doing, like, our first interviews
of all the girls who were going to introduce them to the guys.
And I'm talking to them about, you know, oh, when was your life?
last relationship, blah, blah, blah. And the whole time, all I'm thinking is, like, I'm going to have to
get up, and they film my legs, like, slow-mo walking and stuff. I'm going to have to get up from
this, this plastic bench, and I am going to be the most swamp-ass, biotch you've ever seen. And I'm
like, they're going to slow-mo swamp ass while I, like, walk away. And so I'm like, how,
how am I going to walk away sexy with, like, a puddle under my ass cheeks?
And, but I'm telling you, like, you could just feel beads of sweat, beads, beads, beads,
my face doesn't sweat ever, ever, ever.
My face doesn't sweat for five seconds.
So makeup artists love me.
They're always like, oh, my God, your face stayed the same.
But my body was just, whew.
And my confession is just, I had to whisper to them in my ear.
I was like, I'm sweating so bad, you can't pan down.
I was like, you just can't do that to me.
So they were like, we got you.
I'm like, okay.
And then supposedly it was totally fine.
I asked all the girls, I was like, am I sweating?
And they were like, no, you're good actually.
And I'm like, oh, I was wearing this bright green like jumpsuit.
Oh, yeah, that was hot.
I think you.
It was so cute, but I was like, this is the type of material that would be like spot, spot, spot, spot.
But it's really fine.
How do you not sweat in your face?
That's literally like I.
step outside and all around my hairline and my face and my head just gets sweaty. Yeah. I mean,
I just am not a sweater. I sweat my body. My boobs underneath and in between. Oh, your poor big,
nice boobs. I've got like just a second set of ribs up there. Like my ribs stick out further than my
boobs do. Stop. They do. I swear to that. Nice back. They're like your ribs, Caitlin. I'm talking
about your ribs your rack of ribs okay did you have like a favorite couple this year on love
island or like yeah when i first walked in i connected immediately with two of the girls just like
with like looks like you know and you can just like no someone's going to be cool um i connected
the most with justine who actually won and then uh sely who became her best friend on the show
And I just, I don't know, the two of them together, but when they didn't even know each other, I was like, oh, these chicks are awesome.
And, and, I mean, all of them, though.
And then when, when Justine and Caleb got together, I was like, I think they're going to get married.
Like, I just, like, had this weird thing and then they ended up winning.
I just was like, they are a real strong couple.
I love being so cute.
So cute.
Oh, my God.
And Chrissy Teigen loved them.
Didn't she tweet something about it?
Yeah, she was like, they're my favorite.
And then I think like, I don't know how that happened.
But yeah, they started talking about Chrissy Tegan and then she posted about them.
And then they posted about her on Love Island.
I don't know.
It was like a whole thing.
But it was so cute because she's like, that's my favorite couple.
Yeah.
But yeah, I love.
They were great.
That's, I feel like everybody really loved them.
Like when I saw everything online, I didn't feel like there's one, one person out there that wasn't rooting for them.
Oh, for sure.
sure and i think like at first it was the whole johnny and celly thing and everyone's like oh johnny and
cellar you're going to win and then after the casa more debacle where he came back and had
you know made out with another girl um i think that definitely chapped everyone's ass
it's one of my favorite scenes i forgot about that saying thank you for bringing that up okay yeah go
on chap my ass but the thing is is like that is what love island is for
You're supposed to experience Love Island.
Like, what, there's not a show if everybody's just coupled up and then all of a sudden,
no drama happens.
It's like, Love Island is kind of speed dating and in a villa.
So you're like, you're basically throwing these hot 20-year-olds into this, like,
situation, they're going to hook up or they're going to make out with other people.
I think everyone was just like so disappointed in him because everyone was like,
oh my God, you guys are perfect for each other, blah, blah, blah.
but like I loved that he was experienced Love Island like he was just doing what the show is for
yeah that's like Bachelor in Paradise literally what it's for to go on dates with others
see who you connect with the most explore those feelings to the furthest you can to make sure
you feel good about the other one literally what the show is for um was there anything that
happened behind the scenes people always love the BTS stuff was there anything that happened that
we didn't see that you were like oh that's good um they should have or wait
They don't have live feeds like Big Brother, right?
Like to like stream it or something?
Yeah.
No, they don't.
They should though.
They totally should.
I think it's like, but on the Big Brother live streams, do they actually, you can actually just watch them 24-7?
Yes.
I heard from a friend.
That seems so sketchy.
Like, you can literally watch their showering and like, I mean, it's covered.
Like, you could see the top of their head.
They all share one bathroom.
You can watch them go in and out of the bathroom.
Like there's cameras in the bathroom, like the single stall, but they don't show that.
It's just for if somebody like goes in there and does something like, I don't know.
Right.
They have it on camera.
Like on Love Island, two people aren't allowed to go into the bathroom together because there's no cameras in there, which is funny.
Like they want.
Yeah.
They can't like, they can't have two people.
in the bathroom if there's no cameras so they're always there's always things are always happening
wherever the cameras are so if they're in the bathroom they're probably shitting and no one needs to
see that nobody that's that's like on the bachelor um i didn't know this it was in the contract but
apparently if you go to the bathroom by yourself you can't be filmed but if somebody else goes in there
with you then the camera guys can come in so not like the actual stall but like yeah and so i didn't
know that and I think I've talked about this on the podcast maybe but I don't know but one time I went
into the bathroom to get a way to cry because I didn't want cameras to see me cry because I was like
I'm going to be so tough and not cry on The Bachelor and my lip was quivering and I was like can I go
the bathroom and I went into the bathroom I just started bawling I was so dumb and naive to
the TV world that I forgot I was like miced so obviously they're like oh she's sobbing and there
somebody send in another person and then a camera crew can come in so they sent this one girl
and to come check on me and then you know when somebody says are you okay and you're like no and
i was like hyperventilating a camera guy came in and i remember looking at this camera guy and he's
like the sweetest his name is martin and he's amazing and i literally looked him and went get out of here
and like flipped him off because i didn't want to be filmed and then i just booked it and ran outside
And he's like chasing me.
He's like, Caitlin, you're on a reality show.
And I was like, eh, too chay, too shay.
Wait, what I want to know so bad, like, why did you cry?
Oh, um, so dumb.
It's, I know, obviously there's so many reasons, but like, what was that breaking point?
Yeah, besides the tequila shots and PMSing, it was because I had just gotten to a point
where I was like, there long enough to actually have feelings for The Bachelor.
And I thought I was like there with him, like, he would pick me.
and he chose this other girl to go on this country date with him.
And he got to, like, go on stage with big and rich and sing, save a horse ride, a cowboy.
And they like, I know.
And they like went behind every, all the girls are like sitting there waiting to talk to
him.
And we didn't even know.
But we found out they like ran across the street and like went to a big and rich concert together.
And we were all just sitting there waiting and we didn't know.
And then when we found out, I was like, why did that make me sad?
oh god it's it's funny now but man i cried like the hardest i cried that night and it just like
all my emotions came out yeah you're probably right tequila doesn't help cameras in your face don't
help um if you're feeling emotional and and they and you're just the vulnerability alone will make
you ball crying like even if i had like i had to kick people off love island and i'll i genuinely
will be sad that those people are going home.
And then the second that I like get a tear in my eye,
because they are,
they are so affected by this.
Like you can tell how sad it makes them
that America voted them off or whatever.
It is really sad.
So I'm like, I'm like, I'm so like empathetic
towards people thinking other people might not like them.
And I'm like, don't worry.
I love you.
And it's like, I'll start to like cry.
And then like I'll look at the camera and be like,
damn it.
I'm the host.
I can't cry.
Imagine Chris Harrison crying.
No, that guy's a robot.
Right, but that's the thing.
It's like, I need to be that way because I'm supposed to, this is my thing.
And like, I come in and tell you what to do.
Instead, I'm like, your time on Love Island is over.
I'm like trying not to cry.
And in my ear, they're like, don't cry.
Aw.
That makes me want to cry more when somebody says, don't cry.
Hello.
Like, that's what makes me start leaking.
Yes.
Don't leak.
Leaking.
Oh my gosh.
Don't get me started on that song.
I am...
If I know that my mom listened to that song, it gives me anxiety.
I get anxiety thinking about my mom hearing that song for the first time.
Not me.
I want to play it for my mom and record her reaction.
And see...
Do you see the girl that does that?
Yeah, that's what inspired me.
I saw a girl do that.
And I was like, oh my gosh, I need to do that.
do that to my mom. She would just be absolutely mortified, but I know she would secretly also like
the beat. So, like, it would be interesting. She's like, that's a lot. Oh, what? Huh? Okay.
She starts doing the splits. Okay, no. Hey, do you know what is such a good feeling? Putting on an outfit,
no matter if it's jeans, a cute dress, a nice top, and feeling good about yourself and the way you look.
Feeling good in what you're wearing is so important. I know when I feel good in my clothes,
I feel more confident and able to take all my date, no matter what it is.
is I have going on, like dancing my butt off or going on a little date night.
Expresses seriously the perfect place to shop for clothes and styles that will help you look
amazing and feel good too.
That's because their clothes are made to be super flattering and comfortable, so even if you
look all profesh and put together, you still feel cozy and comfy.
Their clothes are also really versatile too.
I was actually just checking out their reversible cammy and thought, hey, that'll look pretty
great with a blazer in a Zoom meeting.
but I could also wear it with jeans and go out to dinner.
I love when I can go into my closet and just pick out clothes that are perfect for whatever
might be in store that day.
It just makes getting dressed in the morning a little easier.
They also have these jeans that I think I've shared before actually.
They're called Lux Comfort denim and they literally feel like you're wearing sweatpants or leggings
around all day.
But if you're not, you're wearing jeans.
Look at you.
Live in your best life.

I was just thinking this when you were talking about, like, reality TV, but would you ever go
or what reality TV show would you ever do if you could do one?
I had a dream last night that I was on Love Island, but that I swear to you, I woke up
from this dream and I was like, I just like got kicked off Love Island.
That's so crazy.
But I was engaged and everyone was like, now you can go hang out with your fiance.
And I was like, yeah, but like, that was crazy.
Like, why was I even?
Like, it was so weird.
I can't believe I actually had that dream last night.
Um, um, oh, hi, cutie.
I'm podcasting with Caitlin Bristow.
Hi, cutie.
Come say hello to the podcast.
Oh, hi, Caitlin.
Hi, cute.
Do you have a name for your, um, female alter ego?
Not yet.
Bridget.
Bridget.
You're your Bridget.
Brigitte.
Bridget is good because you totally look like a Bridget.
And that's very like a unique name.
you're Bridgett.
Did you catch my dance?
Yeah, which one?
The pelvis thrust?
No, no.
Bridget's dance on TikTok with REL.
Oh, yes.
Yeah, of course I did.
Yeah, that's, I was just talking about that like 20 minutes ago.
I'm obsessed.
He went in full fierce mode there.
We actually watched it back and I was like a little worried about myself.
Because you felt it like it, you just really got into character there.
He went full, yeah, full, I mean, I kind of did watch.
like even just ariel at the beginning i was like oh get it and then you came out i was like no i want
her i wanted to watch her in the back i love it so good two ladies chat this is my podcast all right
see you guys i'm the guest this time if you're going to come back come back as bridget
look how hot he is oh yeah you need to come back as bridget um you need to do a bridget makeup
tutorial oh seriously do um okay hold on i want to say i i
plug your ears cutie i would love to be on the bachelor really yeah you'd be so good
like i wouldn't want to be in a situation well oh it would just be funny to me well okay hold on
what are my options like is dancing with the stars a reality show yeah well then dancing
with the stars you're okay i'm i am a big manifester and i put things out in the universe i truly
believe that you're going to be on it i think so too i think eventually that will happen
because, like, it's definitely something that, like, that I'm able to do.
Like, I'm, like, it's something that I think will come to me eventually for sure.
I think so, too.
But now I can't stop picturing you on The Bachelor.
How would you, um, enter out of the limo?
What would you do as a limo?
I would, I would, I think what I would do.
Oh, shit.
You know what's weird is, like, I would probably do something so basic.
And then just like walk out, I would wear like the hottest dress I,
have i would just like go full hot mode and then later he'll be like oh you're crazy but like
i think if you enter crazy then it's almost like you don't get a balance i entered crazy the one where
you're like i want to plow your field of penises or whatever you said that's exactly what i said
yeah i entered crazy and then i like chilled it out a bit so you like well a little bit that's like
We didn't come out in like a shark costume.
Right.
I think it was a dolphin.
Oh, whatever.
That's the debate, I guess.
But yeah, no, it's, okay, I was a little crazy.
I was just more like, um, slutty, if you will.
Yeah, but the thing is about that is like, you said something funny.
Like, I would rather say something funny than enter funny.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, I know what you mean.
Yeah, like, I don't want to ride in on a tractor, you know, like.
With an injured athlete on the back?
Yeah.
Just Tom Brady.
I'm like, yeah.
Like with in these I would probably I don't know because you can't waste your entrance either yeah no no it's got to be memorable what would you want me to do I think what you said just come out like like as a 10 and just be like sup like yeah I just feel like you could walk out and like like you said your hottest dress just like give a head nod and a sub and and almost act like too cool and then.
get in and be like, just kidding. Yeah, I think I'd like walk by and be like, or, or like walk up
as if you're like approaching a, what do you call it, like a big mansion party? And you're like,
is Mike, big Mike out here? I was told to find big Mike. And then he's like, what? And I'm like,
I got you. And then be like, are you security? Like, can I go in? Who are you? Yeah. Just like have my
ID out and give him my ID, you know, and then be like, thanks. And then literally don't say anything
and just walk in. Like, don't hugging, don't introduce yourself. Make him wait for it. Yeah, that's good.
I like that. I'm into that. We'll be back with more off the vine with Caitlin Bristow.
Tell you, Chico, Pitbull, Mr. 305, but it said, Mr. Worldwide, I'mandito Gritian
Perez. I had to use the real name. Why, because now it's the podcast. From negative to positive,
that you can catch on Apple Podcasts, Podcast One, and Spotify.
Flo to the rider.
I don't even know if you know how much they play you around the world or anywhere, my brother.
No matter how much bread we make, dog, you can't take it with us.
No matter how many houses, cars, whatever we acquire, can't take it with us.
With that said, anything we make is always a give back, dog.

Now back to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.
Okay, I have a question for you.
Do you want to play a hypotheticals game or answer questions from listeners?
Oh, God.
I love them both.
Oh, okay.
Let's do both because I'll just do, I won't play the full game and I won't ask all the questions.
I'll do half and half.
I love it.
Okay.
So if you could cast any male and female celebrity to go on the next season of Love Island,
who would you choose?
any celebrity male and female to go on Love Island um like who would you love to see making out
with everybody on Love Island? I would love to see Harry Styles on Love Island um because I think that
a major part of being on Love Island is personality because you know they are casting for people
that can hold conversations and have a good personality but I feel like sometimes people need to be
a little bit more goofy and funny and I feel like
Harry Styles is hot and funny and like
wears wacky clothes and he's just like fully himself
at this moment and I feel like throwing him into Love Island
would be great.
Girl, I think if I were to pick a woman,
it would be Oprah Winfrey.
I just pictured Oprah like making out with dudes
and it was really funny.
That would be awesome.
Okay, good one.
Oprah and Harry's up.
Great combo.
And together, like they would end up together.
If you could take home one prop, outfit, or set piece from Love Island, what would it be?
I would take home the fire pit.
Oh.
Because the fire pit, I mean, I want a fire pit at my house in general.
And this is pretty iconic fire pit.
This is where all the dumpings happen.
This is where all the, like, juicy talks happen.
This is where I introduce everyone pretty much.
so I'd take home the fire pit.
Okay.
Jason and I were just looking at houses in Nashville,
and I was like all about what the fire pits were like.
Yeah.
Okay.
If you could choose someone to play you and Matt in a movie or TV show,
who would you cast?
I would want, oh, God.
I want you to answer that.
I picture like a Kristen wig or, I don't know.
It's hard because.
there's not a lot of hot and funny women that I would be like, oh, they could play her.
But I feel like, I feel like Kristen Wigg could pull it off.
Who else?
I'm trying to think, like, who would I want to play me?
Julia Roberts.
Oh.
But the thing is, is like, she's older than me, so it would be, like, the older version of me.
Okay.
That's fine.
But if I wanted to, like, play the, like, now version of me, oh, shit.
I have a hard question.
Oprah.
Oprah Winfrey.
What about Matt?
Who would play Matt?
Um,
uh,
John,
John Kruzynski.
Oh,
I thought,
oh my gosh,
I thought you're going to say Johnny Knoxville,
and that's literally who I was thinking.
Only because he's funny.
I'm like Sasha Barricone.
Ah!
Well,
I was just thinking humor.
Wait,
who did you say John?
Is that the guy with the big hammer?
That's Joan Ham.
Oh, right, right.
John Hammer.
Also calling a penis a hammer.
I can't.
Okay.
I think it's Canadian.
John Krasinski is the guy from the office.
Jim from the office.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I love Jim.
Okay.
Who do people say you look like, Matt?
Jason something.
No, I get, um.
What's that guy's name?
Ritter.
No.
No.
He's like five years old
He's like five years old of me, right?
Or 10 years old of me.
Yes.
We did a commercial with him.
Jeremy Renner?
Jeremy Renner.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeremy.
That's what people always say you look like, though, right?
I don't think you look like him.
There's another person.
What was the question?
Who would play us in a movie?
Julia Roberts will play you.
Thank you.
Oh.
Julia Roberts.
Okay.
Okay.
And maybe, and maybe, yeah, Sasha Barakillan, I think.
Hey, no, yeah.
Actually, yeah, because of a whole crazy.
Yeah, true.
Oh, yeah, Michael Fassbender.
Who's that?
I don't know.
Oh.
You just made it up?
No, he's the guy from, he's in so much shit.
I can't even think of, like, epic movies.
He did Steve Jobs.
He did, um.
He played Steve Jobs.
He's in a Marvel movie.
I can't, okay.
I don't remember.
Ooh, you know who would be fun to play me?
Okay, this is a really long answer.
never mind we're done with this julia roberts we're gonna stick with that or julian more for me
and then because i just love them and then and then uh uh uh pee we herman for him
yes i used to love peewee um okay we're gonna answer or yeah answer you're gonna answer some
questions from listeners just a few this one i was like yes i got to ask her this too because this
is something that irks me and I
I just want to hear your answer
this girl said is it weird that you're the host
and you aren't on enough on every episode
this pisses me off
okay it doesn't piss me off it riles me up if you will
that you
I want to see more of you on the show
I know you're like it's about the couples
and there's not a lot of time and whatever
but every time I watch I'm like
we need more of you because they cast
you as the host because everybody loves your personality and you're so fun to watch on TV
or Instagram stories or whatever. But every time I watch, I'm like, more of you. And it's not
just because you're my friend. Other people feel this way too. Well, thank you. And I appreciate
you saying that. Caitlin and whoever asked this question, I appreciate it. I think.
So I think Matt kind of said it best because, yes, I sometimes think or wonder or
want to be on more um but matt kind of put it into perspective he's like you are the
you're the only person that is associated with this show pretty much like as like the face of the
show sort of he was like and cbs you know needs someone like me to represent it and so it's really
cool that i am able to represent the show that's true like it kind of like oh that's arielle she
represents the show this show this is ariel okay got it it's like the two together so it's like
they do need a host and i know that it's just a format thing i know that um in the uk it's super similar
and you know um that's that's where this show started in the uk and so they're just following a format
and um i know that cbs also people there are like we need to see more ral so hopefully next year
there will be a little bit more me um if not i i i mean i just know my role and i'm i'm happy with it
it's cool you know it's it's just it's kind of the format of the show yeah i kind of pop in every once in
while to kind of like put things in check and send people home and whatnot but it's so funny because my
role is definitely so dramatic and i am not a dramatic person at all i don't like being the bearer of bad
news. I don't like being, I don't like using my deep voice. Like, I have to be like,
tonight. Like, you can't be like, tonight on Love Island, you're getting kicked on. That's the guy,
the voiceover guy. He does that. I know. And I'm like, that's so me too. Like, I would be like,
you got to go. But I can't. They're like, don't smile at them. Be very concerned. Like, you are
walking in there and you are kicking someone off the show. And I'm like, yes, I am. And I'm walking out
shaking. I'm like, hmm. But yeah, so I think it's more of like knowing my role and being, I just,
I mean, it's just a cool thing to be, I'm just, I'm the only host. It's so cool. I don't know.
It's interesting. But I appreciate that because I would love to see more of me on it too.
We all would. We all would. Hopefully next year. Allison Gage says, favorite Islander slash hottest in
your opinion. Well, like I said, Justine is my girl. We had like an unspoken.
and bond. And I mean, she is so gorgeous. But I just, her personality, her body, all of her
things, like she is hot. And she's one of my favorite for sure. Do you like become friends with
them after? Or is that like illegal? So no, I definitely DM with them all the time. Like from
the first season, I'm always DMing with them. And it's so funny because this season,
they got to come to our like little rap party which i thought was so funny we had a rap party
and they were all there and i'm like what because i don't even move the phones back yet but people
i don't know we we shoot what what we shoot on a monday you see on a tuesday so it's basically like
if if we shot that night and then we go straight to an after party people are probably going to
film them and they're going to be like woohoo like don't send them to the after party
that's funny yeah but um um i also love which is so crazy i didn't really like get the vibe of
from carrington that i was like oh we could be friends and then at the after party i was like
this kid's so amazing i like oh good that's funny so and he's hot and he's funny and cute
i mean they're all hot but um okay and then last but not least what is next for you what's coming up
What do you want to do now?
Well, what is next for me?
You tell me.
Well, you guys are still doing the podcast, right?
Yeah, so we are going to actually start our season two today, probably, to record.
Because going off to Love Island, it was hard to keep up with it.
So we're doing it in seasons now.
So we did our season one.
We're going to start season two back up literally today.
And yeah, so we're going to have the podcast. And what else am I doing? I mean, I think during
quarantine, it's kind of everything's a mystery because there were so many things that were going
to happen and were in the works and that just got put on pause because I can't go do those
things. Matt and I were creating a show that we actually want you to be a part of and we'll talk about
that later. I think you already know about it, but we'll talk about it. But we are creating a show.
and we just like it was in full swing two shows actually full swing um meetings zooms all these things
and then it was like we can't meet in person and that really hinders things because it's so much
better to pitch a show in person it's so much better to like be in the room with people that you're
trying to sell something to and so we're just going to wait until after you know it when it's safe
to kind of see people in person and be able to do it that way so we're kind of just waiting
yeah that's i feel like that's that's so many people right now like it's a hard question to be like
what's next um i don't know when's the world opening up when can we like go back to normal but uh
well tell everyone your tic-tok and instagram even though everyone already follows you anyways um
okay not um so thank you um okay you can follow me on instagram i'm at a riel a r-r-e-l-l-e-l-oh.
And then I'm on TikTok, it's the REL because someone stole my name.
Yeah, but that's, you have just like one of the, like, you're like Madonna.
You just get to have your name as your Instagram.
I know.
I honestly don't know how my agents did that.
I'm scary.
You are Madonna.
What happened to the first person that got it?
I think, no, I think there's a thing where it's like if that account was like a dead
account, no one was using it.
And we got it.
I was like, okay.
Um, yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm a one, one name.
wonder. I'm a one name wonder. There you go. That's what you're getting at. It's okay. I got you. Well, thank you so much for being on the pod and love seeing your face. And I mean, I wish we could just like go. I could just come over and cuddle you and stinky. But, you know, 2020. I'll take me. What are we doing here? I freaking miss you. I need to see you. Yeah. We'll do a six feet apart thing one day and air hug. Get 12. No, be there.
I can do all, but I'll be there.
Hey, do you know what?
I just learned, I'm ending it on this.
I just learned that be there or be square means if you're not there, you're not around.
So you're square, be there or be square.
Stop.
Yeah.
So I'll let you sit with that one today.
I'm actually going to really sit with that.
Right when I hang up, I'm going to think about like, well, because also being a square is you're not being around.
Exactly.
You're like I just said that bitch
