Here's Caitlin.
Welcome to Off the Vine.
I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow.
Oh, yeah, please.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm so rude.
Just like sitting here drinking my own wine and not pouring you any.
Today I'm sitting down with one half of scrubbing in podcasts, which, by the way, just received its second people's choice award for favorite pop podcast, beating out your girl.
You probably heard of her on season 19 of The Bachelor, where the two of us intensely competed with Whitney.
For farmers, Chris Hart, I think we were all okay if we just left his friends.
And that was it.
She then returned for another chance at love with Ben on season 20 because I convinced her.
True.
She now hosts podcast with her friend.
Okay, is it Tanya or Tanya?
Tanya.
Okay.
I heard someone say Tanya the other day and I was like, I'm pretty sure it's Tanya.
I've never heard Tanya.
It was a Canadian thing?
Yes.
Oh.
It is, actually.
And I know a Tanya and people call her Tanya and she gets so annoyed at that.
Oh, interesting.
yeah that's just tanya yeah and uh you recently released a clothing collection with for macy's yeah i did
that's kind of a big deal yeah it's kind of a big deal that's huge um and we haven't ever had the
chance to sit down in podcast so very excited to introduce i'm sure everybody can figure out by now beckittilly
hey thank you so much for coming here why am i sweating you know you're it's just a lot of
energy yeah you had to set the mood in here there's candles candles you have the wine
Yeah, you're right.
But, you know, I'm just sweating.
I don't know, I'm nervous.
I'm just kidding.
Congratulations on winning the people's choice award.
Thank you so much.
You guys are so cute when you went, like, it was, I was genuinely like, yeah, because
Tanya, oh my God, I was like crying and you guys were hugging and I was like, I feel like we were sitting at a table where we were all just like genuinely like just happy to be there anyways and like excited to all hang out for the night.
So it wasn't competitive or I didn't feel like that at all.
we had we talked to jana um the other day who was also nominated and it was we were saying the table felt
very comfortable in that way that it felt like whoever won it was like genuine happiness like obviously
when you're in a competition of course if you don't win there's like oh man that sucks yeah of course
it wasn't like there was no fake no i don't know how to explain it but it was a good table though yeah
i felt like there was good energy all around the table and we're all just like genuinely happy
to be there like fan-girling over Jen Aniston.
Just happy to be in the same room as Jen.
Have you ever been in the same room as her?
No.
I went backstage and was in a smaller room with like five people with her.
No.
And I thought, this is my moment.
She's like the one person I said ever in my life.
I'm like, that would be your one girl to fan girl over?
That would be my Ellen DeGeneres.
Yeah, that I'd make an idiot.
Have you not met Ellen?
No.
Oh, man.
Was your season like the last?
Yes.
And then she like picked it back up after.
me again i was like oh god she's like my hero and of course i don't get to meet her but anyways go on um
so i i thought this is it and then she was just like she was in conversations with people and then
she was in a conversation with adam sandler and i'm like i want to be respectful even if i make
an idiot of myself i want to be respectful to her and there was never a moment where it felt right yeah
oh that's so cool though that you were just like did you feel her energy what did she smell like
you know i was just staring awkwardly so i i felt like she's probably
like who is this random girl she's a huge bachelor fan she's a huge bachelor fan I know but like I
I think she probably remembers people from the season while it's airing but there's been quite a few
people that's true I don't even remember a lot of the people like on the seasons do you ever do
that like you go back like Sean Lowe's season I was always like who was his runner up well I didn't
watch until oh yeah Chris like till the season I was on wait really yeah like I think I
watch. I like, I think I'd seen, like, episodes here and there when my friends watch, like,
when I was with my friends who watched. But I, um, Chris's season was the first one.
It's so funny to think back. That feels what was forever ago. But I remember seeing you, like,
the next day in your little ugg boots and you had like a little three quarter length shirt on and
like Lulu's. And I was like, oh, that girl's so cute. And you, I feel like you were just so, like,
little innocent Southern girl. I just remember walking into the house that next morning. And first of all,
I remember thinking all the girls looked, even, I think we, that season was the most intimidating.
Yeah.
Season to walk into the mansion.
Like, Ben's season was different because I was just so nervous at how they were going to react that.
I couldn't even go to that mindset.
But I'll never forget walking into that room and seeing everyone and being like, oh, my gosh,
these are all the prettiest girls.
I know.
I felt the same way.
And I swear they like did it on purpose because even, remember they like, they said, oh,
you know this is all the girls and then they brought one more limo and it was like the hottest of the hot ones
and i was like uh dang i wasn't in that limo like they purposely put the hottest of the hot and the last set
of limos to like come through well and we had extra girl extra hot girls i just remember thinking the next
morning when everyone was just like natural yeah i was like you're even prettier without makeup
i know at 5 a.m i actually thought everyone was prettier the next day too yeah like that night i was
like yeah everyone's beautiful the next day i was like oh f*** it really even
naturally okay i know i remember i'll never forget asking brit what foundation she was wearing and she was
like oh i don't have makeup on i was like that's great she is one of my favorite people to follow on
instagram because it she just doesn't care i know and it was the best because you know like
we do like oh people are asking about our lipstick and like our foundation did you see hers the other
day about what she she did a video no i have to pull it up i was like god bless her she is just a
innocent like she never got into the Instagram thing yeah she just she like is living her I will
never forget when she her has her now husband I remember talking about him with her during
the season we were talking about breakups and stuff in our past and she I remember she saying
her saying it was a very hard breakup and that um you know she still cared about him whatever
not like in a romantic way but just like I still care about him yeah and then now she's just
she's living the life she really like it just makes her happy and she yeah I have to just show you this
video I remember being in Vegas with her when I'd already gone through the season but she nobody
knew it was me yet as the bachelorette and so we were doing all this press and we had to do this thing
in Vegas where we um presented Nick Jonas as like a performer at the billboards oh yeah I remember
that and we had drinks after and she like wasn't drinking during the season but we had drinks after
and she was talking and she was like telling me about him and how he was like the one that got
away for her and how um because she was with brady at the time but they were like on the outs already
and uh she was like yeah it was just like so hard for me and now i'm like this is so great
okay look at so people ask me a lot where my lipstick is from and usually for a long time it was
wet and wild the little two dollar ones but now i've actually changed so i'm updating this
is not an ad you'll see why um i get it from the 99 cent only snores
which no shame it's literally 199 the sticker is gone I've had it for so long it says alluring you can't even read it anymore
it's so cute because she's like genuinely like sharing her lipstick because everybody she's like known for her lips and her lipstick and it's so funny because she's like well it used to be wet and wild but now it's from the dollar store as soon as we finished recording and I had freedom to go shop somewhere I went and got I looked everywhere for the wet and wild yes I didn't do and I was like always always
wore the bright lipstick to it. I was like, well, I want the one she has. You had like Mac.
She was like, it's white mild and hers wouldn't move. Didn't move. No, it didn't move. No, it didn't move.
No, no. I remember when Chris had to come get her in the morning for the hot air balloon ride.
And she like woke up at like four in the morning with just like the most beautiful glowing skin and her lipstick was still somehow on.
And like lashes and her hair was just like tasseled, tosseled, tasseled? Tosseled. Perfectly.
Yeah. And I was like, what the hell? I get up and I'm like,
bags under my eyes i like i was so glad that wasn't me on that date anyways i have such vivid
memories of you um like us coming home from a date or something and you having your makeup
remover wipe and just venting to me or talking about the dates and just wiping
your makeup i still do that i still do that i'm like addicted to makeup wipes when i think i saw
you do something with the neutragina i was like what how am i not getting sponsored
by these weeks. They don't know what they're missing out on.
I genuinely love those things. All right. So in an episode a few weeks ago, I mentioned my anxiety.
Actually, I think I bring it up a lot. But it left me laying on the floor this one night in my house,
not wanting to even talk to Jason until it passed. I felt my anxiety coming on immediately went
looking for my dog Raman, who is really the only one that keeps me calm when I experience being
close to a panic attack. And when I feel that pain or heat in my chest, that's what emotional support
animals do. I know a lot of people asked me how I bring him on planes and that's how he's an
ESA emotional support animal. After opening about this sensitive part of my life, Madison, who is
part of my podcast team, she shared with me about her anxiety and how difficult it was to get her
dog, Eleanor, an ESA letter because while therapy is essential to mental health, it's also really
difficult to come by for a lot of people out there. So Raman is my emotional support animal and I wanted
to help Madison make Eleanor her emotional support animal too.
So I did some research online.
I came across surta pet.com, which is a telehealth company.
It connects you with a licensed therapist who does a mental health evaluation and issues
a clinical treatment plan.
So if you qualify after your session with a therapist, you can have the documentation
necessary for your pet to be an ESA within 48 hours.
These are typically letters from a licensed mental health professional.
So it was especially important to Madison to have her ESA letters before the holidays since she has a lot of traveling and family time planned.
With an ESA letter from her at SertaPet therapist, Madison can keep Eleanor right on her lap to help her with anxiety during the actual flight.
So if you guys are struggling with mental health issues and want to see if you qualify for an ESA, get connected with a therapist online now by heading to surta pet.com slash vine.
that's C-E-R-T-A-P-T-A-Pet.com or use code Vine at surta-pet.com for 15% off your evaluation.
We had so much fun on that season.
I feel like so many legends came out of it.
Like Ashley I, Jade, Carly.
I think Carly just had her baby.
She did.
Yeah, because I saw it on her Instagram.
Sorry, she was in the hospital or something.
Yeah.
Who else was on our season that came up?
Me, you, Whitney.
I feel like I'm missing someone.
one that is important. Jade Carly Britt, Ashley I. Ashley S, I still keep in touch with. God bless
her soul too. Yeah, I, I DM with her the other day a little bit. She's such a sweetie. She's so sweet and I'm so
happy that she's got her little family too. I know. They're so cute. I was with Ashley and we were just
talking about like New Mexico and how much fun and how nostalgic it is to be in like a certain
weather. I totally know what you mean.
Like the bachelor season.
I had this little poncho I wore last year and it reminded me of New Mexico when we went
around and bought the ponchos and we like put the like headdress on in the stores and we had so much
fun.
I feel like that season was so fun.
It was so fun.
That's what set me up for failure as the bachelor X.
I was like, this is going to be great.
I think it's different.
I mean, you're a lot more lonely, I feel like when you're the lead.
Yeah, we had just all had each other as friends and we all got along except for Kelsey, but still
we still somehow got along with her in ways but anyways i people are probably like i don't remember
this season what are you guys talking about i'm like i didn't start watching until last year so this is
awkward yeah um so let's talk about your podcast for a sec scrubbing in um i'm sure we have a lot of
the same listeners i think we do um but for people who don't know what why is it called scrubbing in
and what do you guys talk about um so it's called scrubbing in because we both are obsessed with gray's
anatomy but um we don't we talk about when gray's anatomy is on tv we talk about we talk about
like a brief episode like recap but yeah a lot of people think like they have to watch
crazy anatomy yeah to understand the podcast but that's not at all yeah um and i started it with just
me and it was fine i had a good time but i was like interviewing people and i was kind of like i'm
not really ryan cress so i don't know i don't feel natural doing this and so we brought tanya on
actually to be a guest on the podcast and it was just kind of like oh wow that was good like banter and
chemistry from especially because you guys are both obsessed with the grace which by the way i just
got into um two weeks ago grace anatomy yeah i just started watching for my first time i'm like
yes oh my god aren't you jealous i'm so much good tea i'm so into it i'm only on episode four and i'm
like why have i not been watching this oh my gosh i love that yeah so i'm really excited so that and
friends are like your yes well friends always yeah um but yeah you guys talk about everything right
yeah we talk about everything um a lot of mostly tanya's day
life because I'm private about my dating life but Tanya is very she's totally an open book yeah
doesn't hold anything back and it's funny because a lot of people relate to the struggles of dating
right now and how hard it is and um so she she really keeps it like fun and entertaining and like
relatable you know people like she can really laugh at herself for certain situations and be open
about it and she also like is very open when she's sad or like emotional about something not
working out. And I think a lot of people can relate to thinking someone's maybe the one or something
and the harsh reality of it not being. Totally. I'm sure you can't relate at all, huh? Yeah, no,
never gone through that before. I think I had a ring on my finger at one point. It's so funny
because, wait, what did you just say that triggered my memory for she dating? About her laughing at
yourself. Damn it. It'll come back to me. It was something about how something about Jason,
but I can't remember right now. I think dating stories are like the best things for people to listen
to because who doesn't go through any of that with their dating life. It's so it's so relatable like
you said. And it's just entertaining because you're like, I don't feel alone anymore.
We can all laugh at each other for our like weird. I'm almost sad I missed out on some weird
dating like in between. Yeah. Well, I, so before the bachelor,
I went on, I think, four or five Tinder dates.
You did?
Yeah.
And then I was like, this is horrible.
Yeah.
If this is how I have to meet someone, it's not looking good.
Yeah.
And then the Bachelor happened.
And then beyond that, anyone I've dated has been, I've met them in person or been introduced to them.
So I haven't had the horror stories on the level that it's gotten to.
What is her worst story?
Her worst story is that it ended up being that he.
had a connection to a friend of hers or something, but a guy picked her up.
They drove around the block and then he dropped her back off and said, like, it's not going to
work out.
What?
Yeah.
He did that?
Yeah.
Well, that's very honest.
I think there was something.
There was a connection with someone that she knew and he didn't even want to, like, be in the
same circle or something.
But, yeah, I think that would really.
Oh, my gosh.
That would crush my ego and my soul.
I know.
What did she do?
How did she handle that?
I don't think it was good.
like I think she was very like what did I do what did he of course she went to herself like
yeah what did you not like about me yeah I think I'm cute whatever um but she's you know I think
she's gotten over that yeah she's move forward in the dating world oh my gosh is she dating
anyone right now she's dating like not anyone specific yeah that's yeah I just feel like I missed out
on like the whole swiping and like meeting people I was like well yeah oh jason before the bachelor
you were in a like a serious relationship apparently I'm one of those
girls that like gets into serious relationships and then and then I always think oh I'm going to take time
I took time for me after my last year before the bachelor but I still wasn't over it when I went on
the bachelor like I was still like yeah I thought like you struck you were like totally like you were
wanting to move forward but you were still having a hard time totally I still like look at like
something came up on my Instagram and he has like two babies now that are like the cutest
babies in the world yeah and i'm like there's always that one that like i would never want to be
with him or like any of that but i'm like oh but they are so damn cute i know the cutest i know it's
like weird when you see someone that you had a romantic relationship move on to the next phase
of having like being a dad is such another level of first of all it makes someone hotter but also
it's like this sense of whoa they they like got to that point already exactly yeah it's weird
Instagram. Damn it.
I know.
That's a blessing, I'd curse.
You could, like, find so much good on there, but we always look for the bad.
Do you like it?
Are you, like, really intense?
Like, how do you feel about it?
I get burnt out sometimes, so I...
Oh, I get so burnt out.
Like, I find it mentally draining to scroll, and I always, like, convince myself that
it doesn't...
Nothing bothers me, and that I'm, like, not doing the comparison.
I'm like, that ain't me.
And then, like, an hour later, I'm like, I hate my hair.
I have ugly nails.
I like, first of all, can you just please look at these?
I'm sorry, but like, it's that, the fact that you, that we scroll and we compare ourselves down to our nails.
I know.
What do you think about the new Instagram thing about taking away the likes?
I don't really know because, I mean, I see the good in it.
I think it's going to help a lot of people's mental state, but I'm all, I ask someone who like makes money.
exactly on instagram i don't know what how that's going to affect it but also the story aspect isn't
changing which i do a lot of stories in that way so i think they want everyone to do more stories
because yeah i don't know why but i think because you get to see it in action i think this
yeah and i think seeing a picture of like a product sitting like propped up next to you
doesn't really probably generate a ton of sales but um i think it's good i i am so
the person who can post something if it doesn't get a like
in a certain time I'm like delete it's got to go oh I know I feel the same way and then I'm
I and then I don't know if I'm like ashamed of myself for feeling that way or if I'm like well it is
a business like it's my business it's my business it's my brand I know I know I feel the same way
but I like the Instagram that they're taking away the likes only because I think about like
my future children and like my niece and nephew right now so that I like it but I think you can
still go for people who are like a business or have a brand I think you can still go in
the analytics and like figure it out.
Yeah, yeah, it'll be the same.
I mean, I think they'll just be, it'll be behind the scene stuff, which is fine.
Yeah, but I mean Instagram.
It's sometimes I love it and sometimes I just can't deal.
Yeah.
Like I have the little timer on that says you've spent 30 minutes on Instagram today and it happens
at like 8 in the morning.
And I'm like, oh, great.
I'm like, what's a reasonable amount of time I should spend on Instagram?
30 minutes.
And it's like by the time I get out of bed in the morning and that little notification comes
on and I'm like, well, that's embarrassing.
That would be a good accountability.
just like I'll ignore it but at least it like is in the back of my mind no it actually just adds more shame to your life because you're like like I said I get out of bed and I've already spent that and I'm like well I've got the whole rest of the day so screw the 30 minutes I don't care we'll be back with more Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow
you're listening to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow I wanted to ask you about this because you're friends with Caitlin Carter I'm sure you've talked about this a lot you said something like so
harmless right on the podcast and it got a lot of attention in the press which i mean people pick up
the weirdest thing sometimes but if it's the hot topic in the media they'll like you know but i just
find it so frustrating when that happens that you say something so innocent and it just gets blown
out of proportion and then everybody who doesn't know you or listen to the podcast then chimes in
about what you said and it's just this whole thing but um did mylie ever say anything was she did she ever get
mad at you for it? I mean, not to my face. I don't know if she talked about it. I literally was just
saying if you put, if you choose to put something out there, people are always going to have an
opinion. Yeah. Yeah. And then as I was saying it, I was like, oh, I should not be chiming in on
this. And I couldn't retract. It was just one of those things where I was kind of like, I said it.
But in my mind, it was so innocent. I never thought it would have been picked up as. And then when they
they wrote it out and they wrote it exactly how I said it on the podcast.
podcast and it was so unintelligent.
That was hilarious because you just called yourself out for it.
You're like, I quit.
Why am I talking?
Why am I?
I want to like quote it right now, but I don't have it on me.
But it was funny because when you talk on a podcast, I hate when I'm quoted on it because I don't like if I was right now, I'd be like, I'm not.
Like I don't know.
I'm not like a well spoken person on my podcast.
If I'm like prepared for a speech or an interview, I can be well spoken, but I'm when I'm on the podcast.
just spewing. I think what happened in that situation, because I tried to retract, I added a lot of
likes and us and you knows. And so when it was written out, woof, it was funny though, because
the nice thing also about the internet, which I find is you can call yourself out and make fun
of yourself and stand up for yourself. You know what I mean? Like you could be like, wow, I did not
say that very well. But it's, yeah, it was just so stupid because it's so innocent. All right. So I
always think about my favorite feelings in the entire world, and is it weird that sliding into
fresh PJs and cozy sheets right after I shave is one of those?
Add a warm towel in there, and you pretty much have my ideal night.
I'm very easy to please.
But taking care of yourself and getting the best shave isn't always easy, and it's hard
to know the best options out there.
So meet Flamingo.
Flamingo makes body care for women with hair, a great razor, shave gel, body lotion,
the absolute works.
Flamingo was started by a group of women's at Harry's, a member.
men shaving brand who realized they were only using men's razors because there wasn't really
that option that felt right for them and that was me i really was doing that i always bought harry's
razors because they gave the most ideal shave but then again meech flamingo hair removal can be
a chore and that's okay but the flamingo shave set is anything but routine it's a 22 dollar value
but for you it's 16 with free shipping the flaming razor two five blade cartages one body
lotion, one foaming shave gel, one shower hook, and a reusable travel pouch. My favorite thing
about Flamingo is that I get the closest shave possible. After using their razors, my skin is
super smooth. Feels amazing. Plus, the razor itself is super cute and looks good hanging on your
shower. These razors have made me actually look forward to shaving. Think about it. You probably
spend more than $16 on razors and blades already. So with the Flamingo shave set, you can upgrade for
less or the same as your pain now. It comes with the razor, foaming shave,
gel, body lotion, shower hook, and reusable travel pouch.
Get your flaming set for just $16 with free shipping today when you visit shopflamingo.com
slash fine.
Did you get prepared that you have to tell me a confession?
No.
Oh, okay.
So every podcast, I do a confession.
Okay.
So you have to just, everybody tells me something they want to get off their chest,
something they're embarrassed about, like a funny, embarrassing story that, like, has
happened to you. It could be anything from your childhood to like yesterday. Okay. Like, for example,
the one that always stands out to me, it was Vanessa Grimaldi, who she like pulled up her pants too
soon after going number two and something like stayed in there. And so the whole day she kept
smelling. And she was like, oh, who is that? And it was herself. And she had to go home from work.
So there's an example. Okay. Mine today, I have to come up with one all the time and it's very
hard so I usually just count on my guest to tell me something embarrassing. But today I decided, Jason rented a car. And I was like, well, I could. I'm only going to have one glass of wine. I could drive there and just like come back. But I took an expensive Uber just so I could have natural light to pluck my chin hairs on the way here. I have a chin hair right now too. Oh yeah. Does it drive you nuts? Well, sometimes I like shave it down, but that doesn't, if they're thick, that does not. No, then it just leaves a black dot. I know. I probably have many black dots. But.
I'm getting laser on my face because I'm just, like, so sick of...
I'm, like, so nervous about the changing my pigmentation, though.
Well, you just can't have a spray tan or a tan at the time, and then it's fine.
But you do have pretty olive skin.
I think I have hyperpigmentation, so I'm, like, nervous to do anything that stirs that.
Have you ever done laser?
No.
Yeah, see, I have so I feel like I can, like, I'm okay with it?
No.
Oh, just on your body?
on my whole body but I'm like I'm like I think I'll be okay smooth oh yeah oh yeah I I questioned
that my because down there yeah because I was like oh will that like come back into like a trend
yeah but regardless of a trend I don't like that yeah I would be I would have no regrets I'm just
so nervous about the pain because it's bad yeah except except um there's apparently a new machine out
there jojo actually messaged me and she was like yeah she was like yeah she was like
what are you doing using that machine there's a new one and so um I think the place that I go to is
getting the new machine so the next time I do that it won't hurt so bad I can't I can't wait I can't
I almost told her like stop I can't do anymore I did the first trip and I was like I did do that
that happened to me at waxing that's why I was like I just walk away yeah I she did and I'm telling
you like the teeniest little patch and I was like bye I'm out it hurts so bad waxing hurts more I think
than laser well because laser's like a rubber band
pop but like on the yeah you know it's bad yeah it's really and there's a lot of nerve endings there
yeah and and because i do my my butthole i get up there and like it turn over and i'm like hey here you
go the butt hole during the wax it felt like a tickle because the other thing hurts so bad you know
what that's the same as laser it's really yeah it's just not sensitive there but yeah no you should
do do like a patch of laser and see how your skin reacts and then go to town
I need it all. I have chin hair. I have mustache. It's just like, okay, me too. And then I think I'm like doing fine. And then I pull out a mirror and it's like, it's been a day and they've all grown back. Is that just aging as a woman? I was thinking about that today. I was thinking no one told me about like the hair growth on my face when I turn 30. Does I feel like I already want to prepare my niece? Like I want to be like, look, in a few 20 years. Whatever, she'll be lasered at like 21.
The kids will be like doing their,
instead of shaving, they'll just be like lasering themselves.
Yeah, and it won't hurt.
No.
Because they'll have new technology.
Okay, you got up one confession.
My confession.
Oh, you have one.
Okay.
It's kind of, it's quite gross.
Yeah, perfect.
But it got me because of Vanessa's story.
So one time I was, it was the only time in my life I've ever been constipated.
Like, I've never experienced that, like, to the point where I was trying and like,
nothing was happening.
But it was like on the brink of happening.
and I had committed to doing a charity soul cycle thing so I couldn't I had canceled on this girl who invited me a lot and so I just felt like I can't cancel like I just have to go do it but I cannot do it with this situation like right on the edge of glory yeah um so I thought I can probably just put my finger in there and loosen it up stir it up a little early you know just move some things around
so yeah i tried and truly nothing happened except that i had poop on my finger and i had to
like i had to get lemon and wash it like it because it i mean stop when you yeah it's just like
you had to get a lysol wipe yeah yeah it was like for real like a situation like um what's that
what's that step like hydro hydro hydro peroxide i should have put rubbing alcohol yeah that's like at that
point it was just disgusting what gave you that thought that that would loosen it up because all
i all i could think about was like i have to get this out yeah and the only thing i could think of
not a stool softener or no i didn't have time for that i needed immediate relief so i thought like i'm
just going to in my mind i was like i'll just put my finger and then i'll like i mean i appreciate
the thought process yeah yeah i'll never do it again it was disgusting and uh it didn't do anything other
than like totally gross me out well i won't i won't say my girlfriend's name unless she comes on the podcast
and says this but she did the same thing when after she had a baby because she you get constipated
and she did the same thing where it was halfway out and she was like and she just reached down
and grabbed it and like yanked it out i wish i would have done that too like honestly but yeah yeah it's
honestly one of the worst things i'm glad i don't have to go through it a lot that's a really um great
confession actually was it good yeah
I felt like I needed to bring out the big guns.
Yeah, no, that was actually really good.
And people love a good poop confession.
I know.
I always have thought poop is just really funny.
But the way you said it was so confident and casual that I almost was like, oh, I mean, maybe I should try that next time.
Like, don't try it.
It was sick.
But it felt like you were very confident about it.
Like, you're like, yeah, and I stuck my finger in there and just thought that would loosen it up.
And then, so then I went to the Soul Cycle class and just had to ride and knowing what had just happened.
with it still right at the edge you know soul cycle you're moving tap backs yeah all the tapbacks
and the and the seat is not comfortable on the batonks no they say i remember one girl told me because
i obviously used to teach speeding classes i remember one girl told me yeah you just have to build up calluses
on your vagina and i was like i think i'm going to quit i do not want to build up calluses on my
vagina like you're doing out in that back in between area where it's really like painful yeah
apparently you have to build up calluses
there for it to not hurt so i'm glad i don't you've moved on from that um okay i've got some
rapid fire questions for you okay i made them up they're not from fans what is your most
embarrassing red carpet moment um i mean i'm just so awkward on red carp i all of them i i hate doing
red carpets i'm so uncomfortable yeah oh you don't look uncomfortable um i like the other night i wouldn't
they were like do you want to do it by yourself and i'm like no i'll wait for tanya like i did not want
to do it by myself i find them to be like just stressful yeah they are i mean especially when
the other people around you're like gwen stephanie and pink and like tanya and i went behind gwen
yeah and before jimmy fallon oh god no one cared that was probably the most embarrassing it was
like that's what i find yeah that's what i find the most embarrassing is i went after pink and people
were like screaming and the flashes are going nuts and then it was like to be a j-sad and people
like yeah like the one yeah it was like slow mo like actually on the last one i don't even think
anyone took a picture i was like okay let's go i'm so uncomfortable yeah that is embarrassing for me too
i feel you're paid on that uh what's your go-to fast food order from anywhere yep um like in and
out i get a number two no tomato no onion add pickle with my
my fries well done and a dark pepper with extra ice oh dang you like know your order okay um what's your favorite
tv show other than grace friends who is your biggest and temptation island oh really oh i never watched
it temptation wait i'm looking at it is the most amazing that's an old show isn't it and they
bring it back it's on it's on the second season of like the newer version highly recommend
Okay. Oh, my best friend Bree is watching this right now. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Friends in Temptation Island. Yeah. Okay. What is the biggest, biggest, I can't read. What is the best piece of advice you've received? Actually, it was from Chelsea Handler to Tanya who shared it, but it was that there's room for everybody. Like, it was, she was saying, like, you know, there's this sense of like you have to be competitive with each other. But the truth is, like, there's room for everybody. And everyone.
bring something different to the table. I like that. Yeah. That's true too. There's not
anyone the same. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like even in, there's so many of us in the podcast world
and none of us are the same at what we do. It's true. Like even if it's like, I remember when I was
starting mine and was approached to do one, I was very much like I don't want to do a, you know,
bachelor focused podcast because they're already out there and they're good. You know, like I don't want
to compete with my friends who are doing a good job on their podcast. Yeah. Um, and
And so when I think about the people in The Bachelor world who have started a podcast, they're all totally different.
So different.
And it's like, I know it's a running joke.
Like we all start podcasts, but I know.
Um, when I was on next podcast, he was like, do you get intimidated or bothered when all these people just come off and do a podcast?
And I was like, no, because I'm confident in mine.
And he was like, oh, good answer.
Like the first person was it you or Olivia?
Olivia and Ashley, I started her, um, she did the, oh.
Oh, I don't get it.
I don't get it.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
And she was the one, actually, I had a conversation with her.
And she was the one who told me I should get into podcasting.
And I feel like all of us, though, again, I don't feel like any of us are competitive.
Yeah, I don't either.
But that's, like we said, I think that's because we all are so different in what we do.
Yeah.
I've seen it happen in the past.
I feel like people can get absolutely wild on Black Friday, fighting for what's in stock,
trying to get the best deals out there.
Well, no need to get crazy this year.
I'm letting you know ahead of time an Amazing Black Friday slash Cyber Monday deal on something
you're actually going to use every single day.
And that's a pair of wireless earbuds or headphones from Raycon.
You guys know about Raycon.
It's an awesome company founded by Ray J.
He was sick of premium audio being super expensive.
So he and a bunch of audio engineers and music industry peeps developed Raycon's line of
awesome wireless headphones and earbuds.
They sound just as good as other premium brands, but start at about half the
price. You don't have any dangling stems or wires to get in your way. It's true wireless
audio with seamless Bluetooth pairing. I absolutely love my Racon E25 earbuds. They were amazing
to take on my fall crawl tour with me this year. They're comfortable, stylish, discreet.
I pretty much take them with me everywhere I go. And the best deal in premium audio just got even
better for Black Friday. And trust me, you do not want to sleep on this one. Go to buy Raycon.com
slash Vine to check out Raycon's Black Friday and Cyber Monday Savings.

Weirdest nickname you have.
For me?
Yeah.
Boob.
I knew this was going to be good.
Why?
Weirdly, like my parents would be like, boo, like you big boob.
I don't know.
It's just like a thing where it's like a boom.
Is that like a southern?
thing maybe do you ever feel like you'd go back to the south um if i did it would be somewhere like
nashville or dallas i don't i wouldn't move back to where um like where i'm originally from
yeah do you love nashville i do i really really like it's um again i don't feel like i'm there
very often but when i am i'm usually hiding at my house but i still love it like you feel like you'll
stay there for a little while where would you move if not that's i don't know would you ever move to
I used to be like a hard know on that but lately because I'm like I love podcasting here
and there have so many friends here and I just feel like every time I come I have a better
and better experience with it that I think I was like I think I just looked at it differently
before like LA but now I come and I'm like oh no there's so many like cool things here closer to
your home too yeah yeah much closer that's another thing I find it so hard I'm so far away from
family and once I have babies I'm like I don't want to be far Nashville's far
from everyone.
Yeah.
For me.
Yeah.
Well, but Jason, where's Jason from?
Buffalo.
Oh.
So it's closer to him, but his parents are in Charlotte, which is like five and a half hours away from us, which is really nice.
Oh, yeah.
We'll be back with more Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.

Now back to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.
I also wanted to ask you questions from the Twitter land because they love you.
Do they?
yeah well let's talk about that for a second i you you um tweeted something and said what just say what
you said like when there's a competition someone's always going to be disappointed that their favorite
didn't win right but that doesn't mean it's like their people are passionate it's just like when
we were on the bachelor it's like when or even when you're watching the bachelor you're like
i'm really rooting for this person and then they get sent home and you're like but and then you get
so angry yeah yeah and it's just people are passionate people are passionate people
are passionate but i mean if anyone of the vinoes said anything that was hateful i apologize on their
behalf because we all are just passionate yeah they're just passionate people but i i felt that because
i was like oh man if that was um if like say i had won the award and people were like saying something
about other podcasts being like that's bullshit i'd be like hey we all deserve i know it happened it
happened last year too and so last year i was like much more i was like wait yeah this is i i don't even know
of these people and then this year I was just it was like accepting that it happens yeah you know
when people are disappointed I don't like accepting that though I mean accepting that it's gonna have like
oh yeah that people are passionate right okay I hear you but sorry it's fine I didn't confirm who it was
I think I just did uh-huh um okay bleasy from the block wants to know what is your favorite and or
funniest olive garden memory oh wow I mean
Olive Garden sends me there. You're just got so serious. You're like, oh, wow, great question.
Like, let me, let me scroll through all my fond memories. I would have to say just the fact that every year they send me the never-ending pasta pass. And that's just, I feel like I've made it. You know, every year I get that little package.
You do? With my name on it. Wow. That's like Colton got like the Chipotle for life. Oh, yeah. You could probably get that. I don't. I don't.
I don't either.
Yeah.
I'm not a big Chipoli guy.
I try it all the time.
Yeah, I'm like, I just haven't found anything that wows me.
Yeah, I'm the same way.
Jen Jay says, what are you most proud of since being on The Bachelor?
Oh, wow.
I'm actually really proud of the podcast and not only just the podcast, but the community that we've built through the podcast.
I mean, I was on there today and I get so emotional when I go on our Facebook group because
the girls that, like, encourage each other.
and this one girl was looking to
her older brother is autistic
and he loves getting cards and so
she asked people if they would send him
Christmas cards for his birthday because they
couldn't celebrate when his birthday was
and like 300 comments saying like
I would love to like you know
some address. That's so sweet. It's stuff
like that all the time and so I
when I started the podcast I had
no idea that that would be
a part of it so that's been really cool.
I hear you on that. I feel like
some of our listeners are the
same kind of people like whenever i go on the facebook group you all just start crying because i'm like
oh my gosh everyone is like i want to be friends with these girls and like sometimes i want to like show
them my outfit and be like what do you guys think because they're all so supportive and being like
oh my gosh you look great it is the best yeah i think you should be proud of that um Brittany says
what is one self-love routine that she does often and loves i've been on a role lately and i feel
like i'm kicking ass and i want to keep learning about ways to keep improving i love her energy
and strive for that in myself.
So what is one self-love routine that you do often?
I actually can be really critical of myself and get into a place where I start bashing how
I look or what I need to do to make myself look better and get into like a psycho state.
And it happens for like maybe 30 minutes to an hour and then I like snap out of it and I'm like,
who was that?
Do you have a nickname for her?
Because I do.
She's Katrina.
She should be boob, honestly.
That's boob.
that's boob
so I am I've recently kind of been in a rut
but I think it's because I've really like
kind of been lacking in my faith
which has always been like a really strong part of my foundation
so I've really been like listening to worship music
and kind of telling myself like not only who I know I am
but who thinks I'm worthy and my faith in God
and so that's kind of been where I've been lately
but normally it's more of just like you guys
got this you know tanya's like a hype woman for everyone in life but she's like a huge cheerleader
and is always like you deserve you know it's like don't get into that imposter syndrome where you
think you you're not made for this or you don't belong here it's like you're worthy you belong here
do you find that it happens on your period because for me i'm like i just talked about this with
low yesterday i'm like i legit get depressed and like in this weird rut where i actually just
think I'm like so ugly not worth it I feel like everyone hates my podcast I just feel like
everyone's out to get me I have pity parties and I just go into this right I question everything that
I'm doing and then I look at my calendar I'm like uh-huh yep sounds about right for your period it's like
two days before okay mine too and I'm I call actually Amy Amy Sugarman and I would call it the
feeling because it's like you can't really every time I know it's my period because I can't
it to anything. I'm like everyone's been nice to me. Nothing bad has happened. Everything's gone
quite well. Why am I feeling like I'm the worst human alive with nothing going for me? Yeah. It's your
period. It's my period. Yeah. I call her Karen. Sometimes Susan. So Katrina Karen. I have different
names for all of my personalities. I am a Gemini. But that's, it's, it's, I know, that time of the
month for me, I go into, and I was just wondering if maybe that was the same for you, because it happens to
me at least once a month and it's like without fail once a month and then again i like you said i
don't have any reason for it i just go into the self-sabotaging mode and i then i look at my calendar and
know what it is but i still can't get out of that like knowing doesn't help anything well it gives me
a sense of like i know where this is coming from but i can't fix it yeah yeah i'm like go down
just like sit in this yeah i just had to ride it out every month for the next however many years
How does Jason?
Oh my God, he's so good.
Because because I can really explain to him, like, I get super depressed and blah, blah,
and I'm really open about how I feel in those days.
And he is, I mean, I always just pump his tires, but he's just, he can handle anything.
Like, he's just.
Very calm.
Oh, he's so, it's sometimes annoying.
Like, even that gets it.
Poor Jason, because then on my bearded, him being so calm annoys me.
I'm like, yeah.
What is he?
fine. He's a Scorpio. Oh, I'm a Scorpio. You are? Yeah. I consider myself, like, in general,
minus my period time, like very common level. See, there, are you the 30th of October? Yeah.
Yeah. He's the 24th. Yeah. Yes, that makes sense. Yeah. See, yeah, you guys are, it's because of your period then.
Yeah. We've figured it out. It's, it's that time of the month that just, it throws everybody off. And some people I've read get
actually suicidal at that time of the month because of the depression and the hormones going so out
wash and sometimes people don't you know they can't acknowledge that that's what it is and so
people are go their whole lives being confused of why they're depressed it you know at least once a
month but i'm like i text my manager i'm like i'm quitting instagram i'm quitting the podcast i don't
belong i'm just going back home yeah so dramatic i do the same thing it's like oh get control of
yourself no you don't have to it's we're all we're all in it i'm like i'm just going to start
talking about it more but then I feel bad because I don't like be negative on the podcast too or sometimes
I just want to like talk about how like shit I'm feeling but then I've like but I have so much going on
and that I feel bad for for feeling that way but nobody should nobody should feel bad because you can't
explain it I know and it's like you can talking about stuff like that makes other people who maybe
are like what's wrong with me yeah oh okay I'm not yeah that's she's not on all the time yeah
All right, so I just want to take a quick break to talk about one of my favorite sponsors right now
because they really do make it easier for that time of the month.
They're called Thinks and hey, 50% of the world's population has a period.
So why are we not still super comfortable talking about it?
Thinks is period-proof underwear that absorbs your flow, and this is crazy, it's up to four tampons worth.
So here's how they work.
Your period goes in, no leaks or stains or smells come out, and you stay fresh and
dry and comfortable throughout your cycle.
It can back up or even replace tampons, pads, cups, anything that you are using today,
and they look and feel just like an everyday pair of underwear.
They're washable and reusable, so you can feel good about switching to a more sustainable
period too.
Things is on a mission to empower everybody with innovative solutions and social change,
so every purchase gives back to their Give Rise program where they're actually fighting
for better access to puberty, education, menstrual equity, and more.
I lately have been super open about my period.
I think we all struggle talking about the subject for some reason, but it still can make
some people uncomfortable.
And I think thinks has changed the way I period.
When I'm having a heavier flow or just want some reassurance and backup, I throw on a pair
of things in addition to my tampon.
What I really love about things is that their underwear, like the cotton bikini style I've
been wearing lately, are super cute and feel like normal pair of undies.
It really just makes that time of the month so much better for me.

One person who said to something about my live show that they were disappointed in my energy
and I was like, what?
I'm like, I brought that energy that night.
I had so much fun and I was having it.
Like you were down or something?
Yeah, they were like, oh, I didn't think her energy was the same as it would be.
And I was like, I literally was actually going through such a funk, but that helped me
going out there on stage and being around everyone.
So I was so upset.
and then that didn't help anything because I was in the depressed rut and I'm like eh it's not weird like you have so you go out on stage and you have so many people who are literally they've spent their money to see you they're like just thrilled to be there get a chance to see you and it's like you hear that one person yeah because then I'm like well did they all feel that way after and they were just like in the moment drunk and all hyped up and then they left feeling that same way I like it's so worried about who's asked me this other day they're like do you care about what people think and I'm like
No, no idea. I'm like, yeah. Oh my gosh. It's like honestly one of, I think it's maybe one of my
biggest strengths and my honestly my biggest weaknesses because I care to a point where I like totally
put myself to the side. Like I don't even consider myself because I'm like, I just need to make
sure everyone else is happy. Yeah. It's that is a, um, that can be a. Yeah. What? That can be to a fault.
What? Yeah. It's a fault. Yeah. I don't want it to sound that way because.
I was like, I don't want to tell you that's something bad.
But yeah, it's, I know what you mean because you, you're an empathetic person and you
don't want anybody to be upset, especially with you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know.
I hate what people are.
You do you take on people's energy?
Yes.
Yeah.
Do you get a lot of false guilt?
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah, I have a lot of that.
I've realized that I've, like, done it my whole life.
I just recently noticed that I was doing it.
So I've tried to be, because, because I think it's a great thing to care about people and,
you know, want the best for other people and want them to be happy.
If it, like, costs my energy or, like, takes me down, I can't, you know, I have to know
what the boundary is.
But that's, I feel like I learned a few things about myself a few years ago and going
through The Bachelor and we obviously, we learn a lot about ourselves during that process.
And that's, I feel like that's when the change happened, though, for me that I, as soon as
you start being self-aware or understanding those things, you catch yourself doing them.
And that's when you work on them.
So you'll probably notice, like, over the years, you will get.
better at that but I think we just have to work on things our whole life I mean like I don't think
I don't think of work in progress yeah nothing you always think like I remember thinking 30 year olds
they just like had it all figured out like once I turn 30 like yeah I'll be fine smooth sailing yeah
and I always thought women were the most beautiful in their 30s too and I keep me like what am I
gonna feel that 35 mid 30s totally and then I look at Jen Anderson and I'm like cool still got lots
of time she just turned 50 and she's just like her body i was like her arms like everything she's just
she's a vision and she's and she's and she's so cool i know like even listening to her in interviews and
stuff i'm like ah like she's just got it going on i love her speech she's so funny i know she was funny
her speech and um pink's speech really i was like hell yeah i love her too honestly my probably
i need to change my most embarrassing red carpet moment i posted a video and i'm in the background
of Jana Kramer's interview for extra with Pink and I'm in the background
filming her you can see me on my phone it is mortifying oh you got to find it you got
you should post it on um oh I posted on my story I did like I mean what are you going to do
it's I have this I mean you are in the zone too I was talking about like how proud I was
of Jana interviewing pink like how cool that was but it just mostly looks scary I saw that I saw
her interviewing pink and Gwen and I was like oh because I didn't know she was doing the extra
yeah TV stuff and then I was watching extra last night it was on the hotel TV and I was like oh
she's doing that now okay um wait I wanted to show you one that my embarrassing red car
oh no Hannah B is getting interviewed and look at my like I'm doing this like this paw
kitty paw thing in the back because I got awkward so
somebody next to Hannah was asking me like oh I think we want to interview you and then
they're like oh never mind and then I went and I like stopped in the middle and I didn't even
realize this in the back of this but look it is it's tough what would you say it's been the biggest
challenge with dancing or just and then I do a hair flip I got to post that one too
did someone send it to you or did you yes no I didn't even know it happened till this morning
someone tweeted me and I was like what am I doing it was me
being like denied a interview where i don't even do those anymore the red carpet's enough i can't even
do like the interview i and it was a live one too where i think they were like live on the red carpet
and i was like yeah me you want me no you don't uh and then kina kina b's just in the back talking
about dancing with the stars and i'm just like getting extra awkward like i feel like we can
petition you for dancing with the stars it'll never happen i'm it's so funny because i feel like
I've made a couple comments in my days where it's gotten me in trouble
and people are like get over the Dancing with the Stars thing
and I'm always like well I am I am over the Dancing with the Stars
I'm just more standing up for myself with other people in life
but I just I don't even think it's a thing anymore because
I just made too many nasty comments in my past about it
but it was about your contact with The Bachelor right
well now it's about my relationship with people
from the show
flies oh yeah i'm like people are so sick of hearing me talk about it but i'm like the no it's just
not a thing anymore so you've moved past so we got to find a new like maybe like america's got talent or
something i'm hoping big brother i mean i love big brother and they have like i never watch it but
celebrity big brother yeah and like zealous celebrities too so i could have a i have a chance
you're not zeal okay bachelor is like
Like, I mean, especially when you're, what?
G list.
It's a massive increase from Z, so we'll agree on G.
There, G list.
But it rhymes with D.
I feel like D-listers are like still a thing.
Yeah, like some of the people they reference as D-listers.
I'm like, oh, I thought they were pretty cool.
Yeah, same.
Same with me.
And that's why I consider myself a G.
And that sounds cool.
I consider myself a G.
Tell me what else you have going on right now.
you know the whole spiel at the end of podcast where you pump the other person's tires give it to me yeah um
well you can listen to her podcast scrubbing in with becatilly and tanya rad um you can buy my clothes at
macy's dot com or it's in 400 macy's stores so you can check to see if it's close to you um i probably

But yeah, that's kind of the focus right now.
I'm ready for, I love the holidays.
I just need some colder weather.
Like I want.
Go to Nashville.
I know.
I heard it's freezing.
It's snowing there right now.
I know.
I need a little warmer than that.
So I need more like a big sir up north or California.
You should go to like a little.
you should have like a little aspen moment that's cold though that's like snow cold right now
i'm sure right if national snowing i don't know i need to go somewhere where i can wear all my
sweaters and feel comfortable yeah and not sweating i'm sweating right now in a t-shirt like i
this whole podcast i've been feeling but i want you to almost feel right here it's sweaty do you get
um like hot flashes when you're on your period yeah i do and i sweat in my sleep really bad oh you do
Yeah, like I wake up, actually, Jason this morning was, like, came to say, like, he was going
in the gym or something and touch my back.
I was like, oh, because I just, and I'm not even talking like a little mild sweat.
It's like soaking.
Have you always sweated like that?
No.
It's a new thing.
Should I be concerned?
No, I think you're fine.
I should probably go to the doctor.
Yeah, it's every time in my period, I wake up in a pool of sweat.
When I, I get hot flashes, like literally like menopause.
Oh, good.
Yeah.
So I feel like that's going to be a really.
rough time for me. Or maybe you're getting them all
out of the way now, so it'll be easier later.
That's a silver lining perspective, which I appreciate.
I'm a very positive person, especially on my period.
Yeah, sounds like we don't need to be together if we're on our period.
We should not ever sink up on our period and be around each other because we'd be like,
no, I don't deserve it. No, I don't deserve anything.
I deserve it less than you.
We'd just be so hard on ourselves.
I have to talk about, somebody asked what our favorite memory was together.
and it's so funny because it's not in the bachelor house to me it's us eating Taco Bell watching
my 600 pound life um getting giving each other massages and like figuring out who was going to be
the bachelor at between us was that that was at crystal's place in l.A. right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my god.
It was so funny because I was like it was just such a funny moment. I know. In time.
I will never forget that that whole bachelorette like what was going to happen who it was going to be.
and then finding out the weird.
I was sold it was you.
It was like you had contracts.
Oh, yeah.
Like, you were like exactly to a T what I thought the Bachelorette would be.
I'm like, it's her, no question.
It's definitely not me.
And I was convinced.
I was talking about more so when you called me after.
I already knew I wasn't it.
And then it was like, there's two of us.
Oh, yeah.
And then I called you after I was done filming.
You were one of the first people I called.
And I was like, you need to meet Ben Higgins.
Well, no.
remember we were in the hotel watching the premiere episode and he got out of the limbo and i was like
who's that he's he gets like third yeah and i'm like so he's going to be the bachelor and you're
like yeah yeah i really i really like pictured you two together not obviously anymore but at that time
i was like oh my gosh they're going to end up together and get married and have babies that's going
like this is meant to be like they they reached out to me they want me to they want me to come back on
it's like a fairy tale yeah it worked out for everyone but not how i thought it was i know
that's so funny um well thank you so much for being on the pod of course anytime anytime i'm in
