Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story. Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge, there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice. And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am. It's not just any audiobook. This is a full cast performance. So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry, brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
Starting point is 00:00:25 And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy. And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything. Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix. Talk about a dream cast. Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics, and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy. And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.

They're so real. They're so funny. And they always make me wish I had a twin. I hope you guys enjoy my catch up today with Bree and Nikki Bella, aka the Bella twins. Damn it. I knew you guys were going to look
Starting point is 00:03:18 sexy. Oh, you too. Yeah. Well, only because we have. have the real and Ellen. So you know, when you have media, it's like the media glam. Do you know that it is my dream in life to meet Ellen? Oh, really? I've never met her and I just, it's like since I was probably, I think I was 15 and I was like, she was my hero and I've wanted to meet her for that long. Oh my gosh. She's, I got to meet her once with my ex-fiance and, um, she was amazing. was like everything you think she would be funny sweet and like I felt like so down to earth yeah like when I had my little chat with her so that's so we wanted to be on her show for so long but Mario Lopez is co-hosting or no guest hosting yeah yeah like one of the nicest guys too
Starting point is 00:04:10 so nice so sweet we've met him a bunch she's amazing I met him one time like back in the day when I was on bachelorette and I remember like walking in and being like oh my gosh you have the nicest hair i've ever seen like it was like perfectly combed and gel yeah i've ever seen um so good to see you both thank you on pod um i am so jealous you're going on ellen after this but um it's good to start with me first because i wouldn't want to like follow ellen the ellen show even though it's yeah maria that's doing it um okay i just have to talk about this right off the back because i was just having a stupid insecure moment where i found out okay have you seen the the thing on ticot
Starting point is 00:04:50 talking about the invert camera and that's like what you actually look like no no don't do it um okay i have serious dysmorphia when it comes to um like things being even and it used to be an ocd thing for me when i was younger if you touch this shoulder i'd want to touch this shoulder like i was really about being even like my breath in had to be the same as my breath out it was just this weird and it turned into a dysmorphia for me in high school i wouldn't hand out my school pictures because one eye was smaller than the other and it was like this really dumb thing that I've had to work on for a long time then I found out that the front camera okay you know the front camera when you pull it up and you're like take a picture and you're like that's what I actually look like what is
Starting point is 00:05:33 what is like oh okay that's everyone was just telling me today they're like yeah that's how people see you and I'm like my dysmorphia has been justified this whole time no you know you're gorgeous yeah I have to see it yeah I have to see it but I don't even want to look at mine I can only imagine. This has to be the same thing as like when you're sitting in a hair salon and your hair is really wet and it's like back and you're just staring at your head. I don't know what it is. When you're in those seats, you feel like a monster. Yeah, I'm like, ew. I'm like, yeah, in a hair chair. My gosh. Okay, so we have so many things to talk about. One, I wanted to start off with dancing with the stars because Nikki, I've been waiting to talk to you about this for so long.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Just tell me, was Artem? Did he, did you feel like? He hated your guts during the season? Or did you guys have like a flirty thing? No. So we, I remember one time. So I hated Jive. And Jive was towards the end for me. Actually, I think it was the night I got cut.
Starting point is 00:06:32 And he would get super strict. And when it came to this week, like my shin felt like it was breaking in half. And they would always want me to talk about my injuries. But I think I had the wrestler mentality. I was like, no. Like I just was so tough about it. so he literally I was in there with this is when we had troop dancers so sometimes for me it would make me feel a little embarrassed and insecure because I'd be trying to learn and I have Jenna and Haley and Brits and Artour and Brandon all them standing behind me like watching me like try to learn these moves and it's intimidating and he kind of made a comment about my jive and like got really mad at me and I was like you know what dude one jaylon Beyonce don't jive but I don't have time for this and I walked out and I got in my car and I remember at the time calling John going like I'm quitting like I'm not
Starting point is 00:07:22 going to stand for this like he's a dick well Nicole used to always stress me out because I would go a lot to watch her perform live and always on Sunday she goes I don't know the dance and I'm like but you go live tomorrow and she's like but I don't know it because you probably experience with Artem and bless his heart like that's why the video I say you it's how he gets when he gets really stressed he he doesn't realize. his tone we're actually in therapy for this and i remember like even during dress rehearsals like sometimes then i'd be like is he mad at me like like i and it would make me feel really off and it was just be his tone and i was like oh it was like hard yeah it was like hard on me a lot okay i'm glad because
Starting point is 00:08:05 i was like maybe he just didn't like me at all as a person because i've heard that all the dancers are like that like very strict that's kind of how they grew up um in their world of dancing and that's how they were taught. And also, you know, and Artem even said to me, he's like, I don't want to use Russian as like an excuse, but I'm Russian. But it was so funny because I knew right off the bat, he was like, he was like telling me I was rushing the time. He's like, you're Russian. And I was like, no, you're Russian. And it did not land. And I was like, oh, jokes. Okay. That's actually such a good one. He, but you know what's interesting about Artem that I always found just with him. and everything he kind of does, whether it's cooking or it's building, you know, he built me a
Starting point is 00:08:47 meditation thing. He gets in a very serious mode. Like there's no like we're building and having fun and giggling. It's like I'm building this. I'm concentrating like no jokes. I noticed that what time. He's he and it is a Russian culture for sure. You see it with Gleb. Oh yeah. And even though Valemax aren't Russian, but they're the country right by there. You know, I look at them as the Russians are very much the same. It's, where are they from again? Are they from Bulgaria? No. I was hoping you weren't going to ask me. I was like, mm-hmm. I know. What other countries are around? She always calls me out. It's like, you knew how I said it. I didn't know. That's what Jason does to me. Because Jason's, we all know, he's the smartest man alive and he's so
Starting point is 00:09:32 much smarter than me with certain things. And he'll like ask me, he's like, do you understand that? And that makes me feel like he's being condescending when he's really just wanting to explain something to me. And I'm like, do you understand that? Yeah. And he's like, okay, well, then talk. I'm like, no, you tell me. Yeah. So that's my husband, too.
Starting point is 00:09:49 My husband's a lot like Jason, just a brain. Yes. And the other night in bed, he's like, we're both reading these books, like different books. He's like, you want to hear my sentence? I'm like, what? It's like a biology book. And he's like the membrane into the DNA and to the, I don't know. He said like five words I didn't even understand.
Starting point is 00:10:05 And he's like, did you get that? And I'm like, you know, I fucking didn't get it. Yeah, exactly. And, you know, and I'm reading, like, something so easy. Which, by the way, do you need to check on Bertie? Did I go check? So my, tell her about my nanny. Well, okay, so we thought maybe her nanny had COVID.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Yeah. We just got, she just got the results back about 10 minutes ago, but she got a call like midnight last night. Like, I can't come in and we had this crazy day. But literally, right as we were starting, we hear the biggest crash and burn and, like, Bree hits my, like, leg. And I'm like, I mean, is she okay? And it was like, on my mind, is she alive? Is she fine?
Starting point is 00:10:40 Okay. But so we're trying to do this like buddies playing at our feet right now. Bertie's watching a movie. It's like the dogs are staring at us through the window. Isn't it funny how much things have changed? Like when we first did our podcast, that was like very beginning of the pandemic, wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:10:57 Yeah. It was like part of what we didn't know what the heck was going to happen. And now it's like not only have we lived through a pandemic, you have both given birth. You like 24 hours apart, right? Yeah. yeah 22 hours apart oh my gosh i loved i saw a little preview for your show and you were like putting your bellies together like putting the energy for them to come out and i'm like of course they did like
Starting point is 00:11:20 i okay i have to tell you and this is i hope this doesn't um make you sad and it makes you happy but i follow these twins on instagram they're called the tip top twins and they like live in london they're 96 years old and they are like obviously best friends they're twins they've done everything together they like always do Instagrams about going out for drinks and they were like okay they were they were so determined to live to 94 they both got COVID no and and doris their name's little and doris and doris just passed and I am devastated about it they're the sweetest little Instagram influencers they had like 11,000 followers I love them and I'm so worried about Lil because I have heard that the bond between twins is stronger than a mother-daughter bond,
Starting point is 00:12:08 stronger than a father-son bond, stronger than best friends. Like, it is something so unexplained that only twins can ever understand. And my heart is just shattering for Lil. But they were 90- Oh, so they're like, they lived such a lovely life together. They're just like the best.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Oh, my gosh. Well, did you ever? What? Oh, that makes, no, like Caitlin finished. Yeah, you finished. I actually don't know if I was going with that. I think I was like struggling. So I went to read this story about these twins
Starting point is 00:12:35 same thing. Oh, no, bud. He's grabbing the Zoom. I mean, mom life. Mom life today is one of, yeah. It's today's one of those days as the mom where you just want to drink and scream. It's like that. But I read this story about these, they were in their 80s. And it was here actually in the United States, I think in Pennsylvania or something. And they lived together because both their spouses had passed. Well, a big storm came in. One of the twins, had to get something in the car sure enough goes out to the car oh no it gets you wait she flips breaks her head but it's a blizzard coming in so she but the twin sees it through the window goes does the same thing they both died um next to each other no in a drive way no yeah my god you're
Starting point is 00:13:24 gonna cry because yeah right so you think of doris and lill and you're like and i've had I've had these thoughts, too. I want to go first. I don't want to feel Brie gone. I'm like, I don't either. But you know, my husband says all the time, he's like, if your sister and I were drowning in the ocean, you would swim to her first and save her. And I'm like, no, I wouldn't, but I, you better.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I'd be like blood's thicker than water. But that's the twin bond right there. You don't have to admit it. You guys just both know. But that's, you're going to both just go in your sleep at 105 holding hands. and it's going to be, hi, buddy. Oh my gosh. I want to know how you both came up with the names Buddy and Mateo because I actually, I don't know if this is anything to do with why you named him buddy, but I actually thought about naming my first born if it's a boy, Bubbs, because I already
Starting point is 00:14:19 know that's what I'm going to call. And was it like a thing where you're like, oh, I'm going to call him Buddy anyways, or was there a story behind it? So my husband, his dad passed, gosh, I think it's been five years now and his real name was Donald but since he was a little boy everyone called him buddy and so Brian you know buddy was a surprise we didn't know the gender and um Brian was like if it's a boy can we call him buddy after my dad and I was like totally but it's funny because I like weird names and different but when the world like knew I called them buddy everyone was like oh my gosh how you named him a dog's name like what? but to me it's like i knew brian's dad so well is buddy bud and you know his middle name's
Starting point is 00:15:05 desert after my grandmother but she spells it like dessert so it looks like buddy dessert danielson but it's really buddy desert danielsen so poor kid you know that's a cool name i mean i have so many name ideas i have like i always say you're not an adult unless you have baby names in your notes in your phone but how about matteo i don't know that story so matthio um i was working out with my personal trainer and I knew I was pregnant, but I didn't know the gender yet. So I'm on the treadmill and he's talking about his son and he's telling me the cutest story of his son. And for some reason, I didn't know his youngest son's name yet. And he's talking about how strong he is and he wants to fight people. And I'm like, this kid sounds like such a badass. And he's like, oh,
Starting point is 00:15:46 and Mateo. And when he said his name, I got like full body chills. And I was like, oh, my God, that's it. If we're having a boy, like it's Mateo. And so I came home and I went to Ardum and I go, if we're having a boy it's Mateo that's it I'm sorry we're not picking any other names and this is why I just know it's right and then like a few weeks later we found out we're having a boy and Artem's like yeah Mateo so he gets the middle name and the last name but and then we knew we'd call him teo we're like well birdie actually called started that birdie starts she birdie comes up with the good nicknames yeah yo bud bud bud oh my birdie is one of my favorite humans on the planet I think just from watching total well is like I know you guys are probably first of all I know
Starting point is 00:16:26 every interview you probably answer the same questions over and over, so I'm sorry. But Bertie on that one episode where she's going through the car wash is a scene that I can probably rewatch a million times and never get sick of it. It is the best thing in the world. Yeah. And so good. We actually should send you the original. I'll text it to you. Because to see more of it, I mean, every time we watch it, it can cry last. This is the thing. Bertie always wants to go to the car wash. So I'm like, but she gets scared. I probably look like, an awful mom, like, knowing my daughter is going to be terrified, but we'll literally be in the car and, like, you know, it was 118 degrees in Arizona. It's COVID. Like, what do I do? I go to the car
Starting point is 00:17:05 wash. Like, that's an activity. And every time, she'll, like, be like smiling and she'll be like, like, like, terrified. When you think of it from her perspective, that's actually, after seeing it now on the TV show, I was like, whoa, that's really freaking scary. It is. I was so, like, you know, it looks like a giant octopus, like taking over the car. And I think what's scary for her is I get a little scared so I'm like dead quiet I'm like I'm like so I'm like so silent and she's why like wait why is she quiet it was the best I've been loving watching the show
Starting point is 00:17:40 you guys are just so entertaining and like sweet and real and funny and I'm just enjoying every episode we're going to take a quick break to talk about you know what the mornings they could be tough we all know that you have to get out of your cozy sheets start being productive I don't know if you're like me but I like to be warm when I sleep. A lot of people like to be cold. I like to be warm and I find it so hard to get out of bed when I'm all snugly up in there. But I will say one of my favorite things about the morning is breakfast. Okay. I always like to eat something for breakfast that doesn't really weigh me down for the rest of the day because I feel like a lot of breakfast foods can be kind of heavy and pretty much make you want to just jump back into bed. And guys, I found something for my mornings that actually is delicious but also doesn't make me feel guilty or weighed down. It's called purely Elizabeth. You've probably heard of them before. I've definitely seen them while. doing my grocery shopping. Their gluten-free granola is one of my new go-toes. It's low in sugar, still tastes amazing. This granola adds a delicious, salty, sweet crunch. I put it in smoothies.
Starting point is 00:18:35 It's amazing. Or yogurt or just like straight out of the bag, if I'm being honest. Elizabeth, the founder, is a certified health coach who thoughtfully crafted each flavor to include intentional ingredients so you don't have to feel guilty about it. The chocolate, sea salt, probiotic granola is probably my personal favorite. It's made with dark chocolate chunks and sea salt. And two servings of this will actually help you get your daily dose of probiotics to support a healthy immune and digestive system. If you are indecisive like me, Purely Elizabeth has a ton of granola flavors to choose from including honey almond, blueberry hemp, maple and almond butter. I mean, the list goes on. Do you own or rent your own home? sure you do and i bet it can be hard work you know it's easy bundling policies with geico
Starting point is 00:19:58 geico makes it easy to bundle your homeowners or renters insurance along with your auto policy and it's a good thing too because you already have so much to do around your home go to guyco dot com get a quote and see how much you could save it's guyco easy visit guyco dot com today that's guyco dot com now back to off the vine with kately bristow what's coming up on i mean i know we got to see the births and like that was such a unique moment i actually wanted to ask were you nervous to film that kind of stuff or were you like no we need this documented i i felt like we needed documented and i documented birdies too and i felt like sometimes when you see the movies or other people when they show births i'm like it's not that easy like there's a lot of whole
Starting point is 00:20:46 ugliness to it the beauty is when the baby comes and so we both wanted to show those sides of it and just like how women like are badasses oh my birth is like i mean the actual i yeah yeah totally and i actually you know what's funny is i remember telling art i'm like i totally forgot because the camera crews couldn't come in because of covid so we had to set up three tripods like they told art them where to put all three phones and just they're like just hit play so i totally like even forgot the cameras were there and i'll admit the first time i saw it and like me spread eagle i was like whoa like there I am because you never know that angle of yourself ever and I was like oh geez but but it's so cool to have it it's like because I mean and then it was also like made me nauseous
Starting point is 00:21:34 going through it all again but and I cry I've cried every time I've seen it and I think the cool thing for Nicole and I is that she showed a vaginal birth and I showed a C-section and two very different birds oh but you know baby noise but I think showing those two different births were really great to have in an episode because both are scary but it's weird like you're in labor and like for me I just walked in right it's like yeah so your baby will be here in 45 minutes I'm like I did not want that that's uh when my sister gave birth I flew in um actually she was like from the time I found out she was going into labor it was like 62 hours before she had the baby and wow it was a long one but uh my mom was
Starting point is 00:22:20 in there filming it and I was like oh for sure I can handle anything I'm going to be in there and watch too I'm going to be with my sister and as soon as my sister started pushing I was like I turned white I thought I was going to faint I had to leave and my mom came out after him was like I filmed the wrong hole and she had been focusing on my sister's butt loss no I realized it obviously she started giving birth but she was like you know my mom didn't know how to work the camera I'm doing it. Oh my God. And my sister was like, well, never going to watch this. Yeah. That's actually amazing. That is so funny. Well, you know what was interesting. It's funny that you say that because so towards like the end when you're pushing, they bring out a mirror. Yeah. Because they want you to kind of see the top of their head so you know where to push and like give it your all.
Starting point is 00:23:09 I wouldn't even stare at Mateo's head because I couldn't believe what my butthole looked like. Yeah. Yeah. I remember just staring out at being like, oh my gosh. Like is. that for real? Like, I thought at one point, like, is he about to come out of there? Like, but it's so swollen. And so it's so funny because I was like, am I the only one who ever stares at that? I was like, Artem, were you looking there? Like, where were you looking? And it was interesting because the doctor told you, like, in your head, push like you're pushing the baby through your butt. Oh, yeah. And that helped you. Yeah. And that's what they helped me. Oh, interesting. But then it made it look crazy. That's, I mean, did you, was Artem there when the baby came out?
Starting point is 00:23:47 oh yeah i made him cut uh matteo's umbilical cord and yeah he saw the whole thing it's cute because he was very much artem in it like you're quiet and then like serious the serious and they'd be like good you're doing good you know but i think he was also scared maybe to say something to me like how is she going to react um and it's like because i think how obnoxious i was in yours and artem just so sweet and quiet that's you and brian were like so like you guys were coaching me. And so when I saw Brian, Brian was like just so loud. It was like a wrestling match. My whole birthing room with Bertie was so loud and crazy that I almost was going to have a freak out. But everyone was loud in there. A lot going on. That's I always wonder what like what you'll be like
Starting point is 00:24:31 because you never know until you're in the moment. But I'm like, I think I want like some rat blasting and like someone there hyped me up. But then once you're in it, you're probably like everybody shut up and leave me alone. Yeah. Yeah. Because you're going to do that pain. Like when you're pushing and they're counting a 10, it feels like they're, like, doing like 10, 1,000s in between each one. I'm like, that's the longest counts. Yeah. And for me, it was like contractions.
Starting point is 00:24:55 It was like, have to have gone straight on breath? Because I went natural for 10 and a half hours, but concentrated on breath to go through it. Like, it was like annoying when people were in my face, like talking to me. Yeah, that's a long time. Yeah, it was too long. And then I got that bradural. And then I took a two hour nap.
Starting point is 00:25:10 And I was like, oh, shit. I don't feel anything. Like, I should have got this 10 and a half hours ago. So. And so what's going to come up now on Total Bell? Is it? How many episodes are left? Two. Oh, only two left. Yeah. We have tonight. I know next week. Well, so dancing with the stars starts. Yes. And then it's going to be so hard for me. Which I feel bad. I think I'm going to get hate tonight. Why? Because, okay. So no, you for sure are going to get hated. So I made a joke to Nicole because I thought you and Artem had such great chemistry. Amazing chemistry. And the way you dance. I'm a sister. So I was like, Oh, Nicole, they have such amazing chemistry because I'll give her crap because, you know, her and Arnhem had good chemistry.
Starting point is 00:25:50 No, Brie, take accountability. Go ahead. When they danced, but I would laugh at my sister a lot dancing because I was used to always seeing her wrestle. And you're very elegant and graceful. Yeah, oh, she would make fun of me all the time. My sister just didn't have good facials dance. And I'd always be like, smile.
Starting point is 00:26:04 I didn't know what the F I was doing, first of all. So, of course, it makes it in the episode. So I was like, oh, tonight's my night. I'm going to get torn apart. Oh, no, we always, we go, Artem with the big. baby face moment. He's big baby face is going to come out. But, um, but then they start to show when I started to just have my breakdown. Because when Artem left when Mateo was four weeks and I was in Arizona, it was like, I was like, I got it. It's good. Like you feel that way. And like what a lot of
Starting point is 00:26:32 people don't know what hit me really hard is when TMZ leaked out my listing, I had to leave my home. And so I had to move into my guest. I had to move into Bree's guest room. And then Mateo was colic and I was a new mom. So I was like afraid to be around him when Mateo cries. So I just locked myself in that room with him and try to figure it out. And I was like, I turned into such a wreck. And it was so hard. And then I drove from Phoenix LA by myself and Mateo when he was six weeks. Oh, I remember Arden was so worried and stressed out. So I mean, it was so crazy. I was like, what am I doing? Like I'm breastfeeding him and gas stations a lot. And so they start like the cameras obviously didn't stop rolling. So you just see me like crash. The thing too is not only is a
Starting point is 00:27:18 colicky baby hard, which you had, but postpartum, you never know if you're going to get it. Right. And I remember with Bertie, I fought a little bit too. And I think it was like for me, it was just I had been a wrestler. I was just only caring about myself, nothing else. And all a sudden you get a baby and you're just like, wait a second. And you look at your body. All these things go through your head and you can't help but get a little depressed. Well, yeah. And it was like right when I rolled up to L.A. your hormones. That's the thing for me is hormones were crazy. And then when we finally make a tell I, the fire's hit. I'd be inside longer for seven days. I just got out of 120 degrees.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Just excited to walk around with Mateo. Like, yay, get to walk outside. Yeah, we're in a pandemic. In a pandemic. It was just, it just when they say when it rains and pours, it just couldn't stop pouring. And so, and then we moved to Napa. So those are kind of our last two episodes. And you get to see the moment where you guys win, which is amazing. Yeah. Yeah. And like, just Artem and how the family was like after um gosh what else gosh i feel like that's it i mean we have literally the last two episodes and it's funny because nicole and i people will ask us like how was it filming a pandemic if we'd ever do it again and i'd say i don't think i'd ever film again in a pandemic it was it was so hard a lot of work you're in your own little bubble with everyone you can't go
Starting point is 00:28:37 anywhere so many COVID tests i was so tired of getting my nose poked. Yeah. And then it was just like... And just so many rules. Like we wanted to film so much more with like you guys dancing and being there. But like with ABC's rules and with NBC Universal's rules, it was like, no, COVID. Everything, all we ever heard was like COVID.
Starting point is 00:28:56 COVID. Everything was shut down and it was like just in our houses. And for me, I just got to a point where I was like, the pandemic is stressful enough. Yeah. I don't need to also stress out with filming. And so I'm hoping if we get next season, we go back. It's just, it's. I got to hold this little guy.
Starting point is 00:29:13 It's the best. I love the baby noises. We're going to get back to the podcast in just a moment. Let's be real for a sec. Everyone always wants to talk about how important it is to get a good night's rest. But following that advice can be really difficult. I don't know why sleeping is so hard. Sometimes I feel like it should just be the easiest thing when you're tired.
Starting point is 00:29:29 It's a long day. You just want to shut off. But sometimes it feels like actually impossible to fall asleep. And that's why the folks over at Hempfusion created sleep support to help you get the rest that you deserve to feel your best every morning. I love hemp fusion CBD products and sleep support.
Starting point is 00:30:06 It has come in clutch for me lately, and there are those nights when you just need to calm down. I just need to come down sometimes and put your mind and body to rest and sleep support does the trick. I love not having to count how many hours of sleep. I've been trying to fall asleep. That's the worst. And to make it even easier to try sleep support at any of Hempfusion's premium CBD oil products they're offering all my listeners, 20% off your next order when you use promo code vine at checkout. Geico makes it easy to bundle your homeowners or renters insurance along with your auto policy. And it's a good thing too because you already have so much to do around your home. Starting point is 00:30:58 It's GEICO easy. Visit guyco.com today. That's guyco.com. You're listening to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow. I mean, I got to give you guys both props. But I mean, especially you doing that for the first time, Art of not being there for the most part, a pandemic, the fires, travel, just everything must have been so overwhelming.
Starting point is 00:31:21 And I really appreciate that you're going to open up about that and share that on the show because, I mean, like I said earlier, you guys are just so real and honest and raw. And that's why people are drawn to watching the show and to you both. But I think that's important to show that side of it. And I think you're both so good at doing that, showing both sides of everything. like the love and the happy times but also sharing the struggles and I mean you do it so well in your
Starting point is 00:31:44 podcast on the show um you have a book I mean what else do you have going on I know I think and oh I think and you're why yeah I know right the winos all of us all of us you know which by the way you need to come to Napa and hang with she's coming soon oh you are good I think in may I'm going to be there nice oh hopefully it's for bottle rock if bottle rock's going on still yeah but you know it's crazy because Nikki and I, we always say, whatever we do, it has to be authentic to us. Yeah. So it's actually kind of fun now that we're mammas. I've been waiting for this one to be a mom to join me in my mom jokes. But we're now starting to look into like doing like more stuff with our, especially our boys, but our girls like into mommy products and kind of going into that world
Starting point is 00:32:28 because now this one understands all the stuff you need. It's unreal. But the convenience. But we also like things a little more glam like we so we've been kind of we have a fun project coming out here soon that we're excited for everyone to see definitely oh that's exciting and um okay i'm gonna i'm making you guys confess to me because i loved yours last time um and then we'll play a game and then um i get to come on your guys podcast but yeah okay so confessions do you do you have a good one for me so okay i'll do So my recent one, which, Brie, so I had my good friends over for New Year's Eve and some family. And so as they were like leaving, I was putting things away and I accidentally like tooted right in front of them. But everyone thought it was the two-year-old.
Starting point is 00:33:18 So I was like so happy inside and I led them all blame the two-year-old girl. And then all of a sudden my sister like looked at my face and she goes, no way. That was not Stevie. That was you, Nicole. Oh, I saw it from a crossroom. I was like helping out in the kitchen. And they were like almost out the door and I was like, excuse me and I'm giving Bree the look like, are you kidding me right now?
Starting point is 00:33:37 I couldn't believe you're going to like put all the heat on the two years. And that's what she goes to the family goes, you were really going to let everyone blame this two year old for your toot. And I was like bright, right. I'm like, I can't believe you're doing this to me. And I was like, sorry guys. Like, yeah, I tuted. And I'm like, I can't believe like I'm dealing with this.
Starting point is 00:33:53 And then Brie like texts me later that night and goes, how much does it suck for you that your last impression to the Allen's is that you tuting that you yeah I was just like I like give a run I know I've done it with the dogs I blame my toots on the dogs yeah I used to do that back of the day my husband caught on finally he was like no it was not the french cheese and I'm like I try to do it with teo I feel bad I blame teo a lot yeah I know it's like teo geez and he's a baby he can't handle his bodily so it's easy to blame him because he had to be totally and you find it cute when they do it's the cutest you know yeah gosh you know i feel like gosh a confession geez um look at him looking at him i know you know but i have to confess to
Starting point is 00:34:42 you mommy one time breastfed you when she had three glasses of wine and not two and you know it's funny because so many moms are like do it he'll sleep good through the night no he ruined my life that night he like woke up every hour and a half, two hours. I was like so tired. I'm like, I remember again. I thought like I was being punished by God. I love that you just looked him in the eye while you confess that. I know.
Starting point is 00:35:06 He's like, give me more. Wait, that actually has something to do with my next game. This is the final thing. It's called how do you proceed? And it's, I'm just going to give you hypothetical situations. Imagine the following scenarios happening to you and let me know how you proceed. And that's what I was thinking about with moms and being on Instagram. and everything. So you open your Instagram DMs to find a flood of supportive messages from your
Starting point is 00:35:29 fans, but there's one very unsupportive message that pops up, mommy shaming to the max about how you're raising your new babies. As always, the woman sending it has a Bible verse in her bio reminding everyone to always be kind. How do you proceed? Oh, Nicole, I'm going to let you start because you've done this actually. I have. Well, I feel like how I would do it nowadays would be different. But what I, you know, used to do is I'd always kill with kindness. I always take a piece of their Bible. So, like, you know, let's listen to what Jesus has said. And I give them something.
Starting point is 00:36:03 But I think now I'd be like, you do, you, boo. Don't worry about me. Unfollow. I like that. I like I'd be more like that. No more killing with kindness. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I feel like now I don't have time for it. You don't. And the mommy shaming is so crazy on social media. But I think I would say, you know, wow, that wasn't really cool. Christian like, but you could definitely unfollow me. That'd be great. Thank you. I just got to be very short, but I do think you need to throw it in their face because like, buddy agrees.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I, I get so like, I get so tired of the haters online or like women that should be supporting women. I know. They need to be called out. Pink has said a great example for that. She just calls them out. I love it. I love it because I, I've said this so many times on my podcast.
Starting point is 00:36:51 but I hate when people are like, oh, just ignore them. I'm like, no, because what if they really realize something that I'm a real person on the other end? And they think about it the next time and don't do it. Or what if like the guy just like standing up for myself? I feel like that's important for me. I used to do that a lot. And it would be crazy. The response factor, like, oh, shoot, I never thought you were going to see this.
Starting point is 00:37:12 It's like, no, I did see it. And that wasn't cool. Yeah. Yeah. So my husband always wants me to write to everyone. He goes, you just need the same answer for everyone. and it's shin bone to the dome when your mama ain't home. He goes, he literally says every time I'm like, oh my gosh, what should I write?
Starting point is 00:37:28 And he goes, shin bone to the dome when your mama ain't home. That's funny. Yeah, he wants me to just hit everyone at all the haters. Copy and paste. That's fine. Coffee and paste. We always say bless them and block them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Oh, I love that. That's good. Okay, last one. The pandemic is finally over. We're all back to somewhat normalcy. when you're approached by the casting team of dancing with the stars they want to invite you both to the show to compete in a sister themed season how do you proceed hell yeah because i'd beat her and this is why she you know what she i i told Nicole you're always so serious in your facial
Starting point is 00:38:08 smile how fun like she does not realize how scary it is um i do this is the thing is we're not just dancing like we know we're going to get judged after i would go to the live and I would hear that the click noise. And I would be shaking in the audience. Did you not get nightmares for a while with the three clicks? And Jason can't handle the clicks because I'd be practicing at home and you'd be like, I can't hear the clicks anymore. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:33 They're like, I have to look at my chills. Oh, yeah. Thinking about the clicks. The clicks. We would for sure do it. And I'd finally prove debris that no, she couldn't beat me. So I think it would be the one thing I'd beat you at. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:38:43 I would love to see that. I will say when you were saying earlier about teasing Nicole about the chemistry. I'm like, Artem and I had like brother, sister, teacher, student chemistry. Like, we were good to dance together. I watch your guys as dancing together. And I was like, oh, like you guys were like, I mean, obviously he's a dad and engaged in stuff. His choreography is very tame now, which. Yeah. And but you guys, I was always like, holy crap, you guys did so good together. I actually loved. Oh, you dance together. Oh, thank you. Well, you know, it's funny that you said because I would always tell him, I'm like, our choreography just seems to what.
Starting point is 00:39:18 different than everyone's like because i was engaged at the time so i'd have to go and like not explain but i was like wow yeah you're not to explain i remember brian i was like i was like i would be so embarrassed like and they would never air that stuff of me like i used to when i get really embarrassed i just start to wrestle art and he would be like with that because i just didn't know what to do because like all of a sudden his legs in between mine and i have to like roll and i'm like what the hell like this is not what i'm used to yeah and they would never air that stuff because i think they weren't used to like a woman doing that they didn't know how to handle it yeah but i remember brian he saw one of their dances and he was like yeah you're never doing dancing with the stars
Starting point is 00:40:00 they were nuts whoa i always feel like like we had like what christel and gleb had at the season yeah you know what i mean they were very similar i was like oh man i don't know if i'd be able to do it with Gleb because his choreography is next level sexual and I'm like not a sexual person. I'm very much like that would make me uncomfortable to be with Gleb and doing dancing like that. I'd be like, yeah, this isn't me. Like I remember Artem telling me about the, um, the toxic video. And he was like, at the beginning, it's like, you're luring. You're like doing this. I'm like, I can't. I literally, it takes everything in me to like try and pretend to be like luring. I'm like, blah. just on my like hoodie and beanie and like crawl in a corner i know but you i thought though that was
Starting point is 00:40:45 amazing i think you do that stuff so well and even with your tic talks i think you have such sex appeal like you how you flip your hair do like all that set yeah but it's a not trying sex appeal which is the which is the best which is the best i thank you i i'll take it from you guys uh well thank you so much for being on the pod and and tell everybody i mean everyone already knows where to find you guys and what's coming up but tell tell everybody like you know whenever whatever you're launching is coming out where they can find that and all the updates and everything.
