pinot ready for the show everyone's welcome so come on in because o t b it's about to begin
A. Okay, welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow. We are in person today. Finally, back to the old grind. I'm so excited to catch up with this gem of a human, Cassie Randolph. She is doing incredible things outside of the franchise, like renovating her house, graduating from grad school, just, you know, live in her best life. We talk about how things have changed for her after being on The Bachelor. We learn a bit more about Cassie. And she truly is just such a sweetheart.
heart. So I'm really excited for you guys to actually hear from Cassie and she's got a lot to say and I love
her. Okay, so I've been getting a lot of questions whether or not I'm being on the next
Bachelorette season. So I thought I would just quickly touch base on it. I saw at the end of the finale he
was announcing the two Bachelors and he said he was going to be by their side for that. So I guess
spoiler alert, I'm not coming back. I think Jesse's amazing. He'll be a great host and I hope he helps
Gabby and Rachel in any way that he can.
It's been a wild year, and I don't know, I'm coming off filming two Bachelorette seasons,
my live podcast tour, and now ending the Dancing with the Stars tour.
I want to support Gabby and Rachel and be there for them so bad.
I think it makes sense to have a woman being there for them.
But I also do want to prioritize being at home with Jason and the boys and start planning
my wedding and catch up on my businesses.
So hashtag blessing in disguise, I guess.
There's a lot of exciting things coming up in the next few.
few months and it all just feels very overwhelming but I guess it's that saying like you can have
it all but you can't have it all at once I will be sad though I want to be there to support them
but that's the update here we freaking go in person finally back to the old grind I am so excited
to catch up with you today I know it's I always say to people like I'll catch up with people on
podcast so often that I'm like, why don't we do this not on a microphone?
I know.
Like, I, I just love catching up with friends and I happen to get to record it.
It's been years.
It's been years.
Yeah.
You're doing so much, like, outside of the franchise.
Like, you are renovating your house.
You're one to talk.
But you've got, you are doing lots too.
And, like, I feel like you're doing things that, like, you should be really proud of.
Oh, that's so nice of you.
Yeah.
No, you graduated.
You freaking, I remember you were doing school while your season was airing.
which I thought was insane because I was like all I wanted to do was lay in bed and cry and
it was a good distraction that's true okay it would be a good distraction so we were just talking
about the fact that we were both at the finale you with your splotchy tan and me with my
terrible winged eyeliner no I'm just kidding yeah I didn't notice you're splotchy with a tan
I think you looked fantastic so nice of you I feel like I was a little overly tan oh no no you
You looked amazing. You looked amazing. And we, like you and I haven't caught up in so long, but you haven't done like any interviews or a lot of media or done any of them really since being on your season. And I totally get it. Like bachelor stuff? Yeah. I mean, yeah. It's because you've got your vlog and you do like your, you know, YouTube channel and all of that. But I don't feel like you do a lot of interviews or bachelor stuff, which is good because I feel like I always applaud people if they can, you know, separate themselves from the franchise and.
Really?
Yeah.
I don't think I even meant to not do it.
I think it just kind of happened that way.
And then, I mean, if they ever wanted me to, like, make an appearance like the other night, it was super fun.
I was like, of course.
Yeah.
But just, it never really comes up.
I feel like people were so shocked that I was on.
It was literally blowing up the internet.
I don't know why.
Like, why is it such a big deal?
I saw TikToks.
I saw Instagram stories.
I saw, like, so many people doing it like the biggest shock of, yes, I saw so many.
But I, Bachelor things come up on my feed all the time.
So maybe that's why.
But everybody was like, that was that episode.
The only shocking thing about it was that Cassie was there.
But I think it, you know, like it's, I don't know why.
Like you said, it's not like it was a.
I wonder, I would love to know why people thought it was such a big deal.
Maybe just because I haven't been on anything in a while.
Yeah, probably.
But I think a lot of people were comparing Colton and Clayton and getting their names mixed up anyways.
all the time and then he's been doing media for whatever he's got going on so i feel like people
have wanted to hear from you and i think people thought oh because we haven't seen her she must
not want to do anything like that did it feel so crazy to be back on the bachelor stage like i was
so nervous yeah i i didn't expect to be so nervous and then right when i got there i was like
oh my gosh triggered yes but i still get that way too oh yeah i'm sure everyone does i'm like in such a
good place with that franchise and I feel like it's it's actually become such a like that stage I
I actually feel comfortable up there but I still get you're like who yes I still get the like
triggering feelings and like the oh gosh it's live are they going to ask me something like I don't
want to be asked or yeah that's what it is it's like are they going to throw me a curve ball yeah and I you
know I guess I did kind of take a step back from doing things for a while like last year
yeah just because i needed like a little break from everything totally so maybe that's why people were shocked
i think so i think so i think people probably have just wanted to hear from you and the fact that they
haven't and then all of a sudden you're on the bachelor everyone's like whoa what what was you gonna say
like yeah did you have fun i did have a lot of fun good i actually i think you knew this right i was like
so sick right yes what key we were trying to figure it out i was were you nervous was i thought it was
nerves at first yeah and then I was like there's no way nerves can you know make me
actually like yes they can really yes I was kind of sick the next day though I I I don't
be TMI I threw up on myself on the way home no did you really it's horrible no it was just like
out of nowhere and I was like I got a throw up and I'm like oh no okay right and was like oh my god
okay oh she pulled over it was bad you really
I think I had food poisoning
And I think it hit at the most terrible moment
But also I feel like
Give yourself some grace if it was nerves
Because maybe it's a mix
There was a girl that I used to dance with growing up
Who before every performance she would
They would have a trash can for her
Backstage because she was so nervous
That she would be sick to her stomach
Really
And I think it's probably
You get nervous because
I feel like you kind of know
How producers can work sometimes
And you were probably like
Like you said what curve ball
Are they gonna throw me
Could have been nerves now that I think of it
You had such a great answer for your question up there.
I feel like I talked for a very long time.
And I was like, oh, gosh, did we have to cut it short?
The whole time I took up so much of the answer.
You spoke so eloquently and you said the right things.
And I know it was from a genuine place.
And the audience even clapped.
You know that you say something right when the audience collapsed.
It did feel good to have them.
Yeah.
They didn't clap for anyone else.
Well, they clap for Nick, but he was talking for a while too.
Maybe it's just because I talked for a long time.
No. I just think, you know, did you watch the whole season, by the way? Or did you just watch? You did. I did, like, a very speed watch. I watched it all the week before. You did. It was a long week. I was very invested. Oh, I know. Was that the first time you've watched in a while? Or are you, do you always watch the seasons? Yeah. I hadn't really watched since. Like, I've watched here and there.
Yeah. episodes and stuff. But I hadn't really watched it since I was on it. Do you keep in touch with it?
anyone from your season or bachelor of nation as they call it yeah uh katy a lot yeah
probably the most yeah yeah yeah yeah i mean i talked to everyone just those are the
people i keep up the most probably yeah that makes sense and i know obviously you oh yeah
yeah me and now more because yeah yeah because um as soon as i saw you i was like i miss her oh
i know so this is nice i was looking at our text the other day and i was like 2000 i think's
night or 20 2020 or something last time we had texted it I was like that was two years ago no I feel like to this these past two years for everyone in the world they can agree that the past two years had just like absolutely flown by but we'll get the stuff out of the way because I know it's a very sensitive topic but I did want to obviously bring up Colton just because personally I'm like I don't want to take away from someone celebrating who they truly are I don't take away from that but to me what
he has done and I think I speak for a lot of people that there's some trauma there that he has caused
you and now he's being celebrated and given a platform and you just haven't really had a chance
to have your voice and I wanted to know like has that been hard for you to not speak on this
or are you like I'd rather not you know it it's I haven't talked about it so it's really hard for
me to talk about it at all or even know like the right thing to say when addressing it.
I just feel like so much pressure.
Yes.
I think when asked about it that I would, you know, love to be able to be open and candid about
things, but I'm just not there yet.
Totally.
And I will, I'm sure I will one day.
Yeah.
Like, want to speak on it because there's just a lot there.
I really wondered if he had ever expressed in like during a breakup or when,
you guys were going through all of this that he had questioned his sexuality or knew he was
gay did because i know he called like tia and like spoke to them so did he ever like tell you
or talk to you about i found out the same way that everyone else did you did on i was actually
in mexico on vacation with friends which was great nice great to be away yeah but yeah i found
out i think through the snapchat wow gm wow it was horrible i'm so sorry like
Like, it's, and it was just like a shocking kind of feeling.
I'm sure, I mean, I can't even imagine what that felt like for you because to think you know somebody or feel like there's a secret that put you through so much, you know, and your family through so much.
And to be, I know what it's like to go through a public breakup.
So that alone is tricky, let alone going through what you have.
And then it's not like you don't see everything everywhere and get asked all these.
questions all the time. Such a hard thing too is like when everything's so in your face.
It's like I just want to. I think that's why I took a step back for so long just because I just
didn't want everything to be so in my face. And that's good for you. I love that you knew that you
are self-aware enough to take a step back and be like, I'm not going to put myself in these
situations. It was a healthy break. Totally. I love that for you. And like I was saying earlier about
the advice you gave on AFR to Susie about not feeling pressure to go back and not feeling the pressure of
giving that happy ending because that's like what it's supposed to look like was that how you felt
when you were in that position i had a feeling that when i was saying that people were going to
allude to that i mean it's so hard i mean it's so long ago now that putting myself back there i know
i know i know i'm like trying to think of exactly how i was feeling and it's so hard
describe how you're feeling because every situation's so different yes i mean there is definitely
an aspect of pressure obviously because you're on this huge
national show yeah and you're like any decision i make people are going to judge yeah you know
yeah and so yeah it's kind of hard to know i why i did what i did because you're going through so
i say this to everyone i'm like your emotions are high you're in a like pressure cooker of the dating
world there's so much pressure everywhere it's overwhelming you think you're supposed to do a certain
thing because that's how the show works and then you're like yeah it's but i do i want to
Is this the right decision for me?
Is it the right decision for him for the show?
Like I don't know.
You have to really, it would have been nice to have like a week to think about things.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, they don't want you to, yeah, go be around the people that ground you, your family.
Really like take that time and then come back and make a decision.
Then we wouldn't have a TV show.
No.
Instead, you're sitting there on the spot.
Yeah.
What are you going to do?
Yeah.
Yeah.
With cameras and people.
It's huge decision.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know. It's so hard, but I'm glad you took a step back and did what you need to do for yourself.
I feel like everybody learns something through these hard times where, like, such pivotal moments of going on television, having everybody know who you are, having everyone, like, in on your stories.
What have you learned about yourself in the last few years?
Oh, wow. That's a heavy question.
I know.
So much. I think I've really grown into myself the last few years.
I mean, so much has happened.
I think everyone kind of, even with like COVID, you know, really learned a lot about themselves, you know, being able to take a break to reflect.
Yeah.
But I feel a lot more decisive, I guess, you know, in like what I want or my opinions on things.
I think prior to, you mean like prior to the show.
Yeah.
During that whole, you know, show airing, filming it, whatever.
I think I was just very young.
and yes i mean it wasn't that long ago you're still young but yeah no i get it but it was so new
that now i've kind of gotten used to like this new kind of life change and yeah i can more
clearly see things yeah for what they are how old are you again 26 i'll be 27 in a month
oh my gosh yes i can't wait yes now we need to do an interview like when you turn 28 because i
am a broken record on this podcast for saying that 27 is the most pivotal time in your life. No way,
really? It's my golden birthday. It is. It is your golden birthday and 27. Women change for the
better at 27. Really? And you get more clarity. Like more mature. Yes. You get more clarity. You get more
mature. You may you like have just more confidence overall like so close. I'm a month away.
Month away. And you just that one golden birthday. It's one month. So April 27th. Yeah.
your birthday yeah okay what does that what does that make you what is your sign a tourist are you into
zodiac signs and what those i know a little bit about my sister's super into them she is yeah so what
does she say about a torus stubborn i guess isn't that the thing with tourists they're just like stubborn
isn't everyone stubborn i'm like i feel like i'm not like the most stubborn though it doesn't even
actually wait i've heard tourist people are assholes and you're the furthest from that
wait i have somebody was just talking about this in the dressing room you are not a tourist i don't want to be a
Torus.
You are not, I'm looking this up.
I think it has, there's so much to astrology.
Like it's like the moon and the sun and rising and yeah.
So my, okay, so my sun is Torres.
Yeah.
My rising is a Gemini.
Oh.
It's fun, you know.
Yes.
I always want to be a Gemini.
Yes.
I'm a Gemini.
So cool.
Gemini's are the coolest.
And then I think I'm an Aquarius moon, which is like emotional, which makes a lot of sense.
Yes.
See, my, so I'm a cancer in moon and sun.
Oh.
And but I'm a Gemini.
And so I'm like a firecracker who has the most sensitive soul.
I love that though.
Balance.
Yes.
I literally, you know how Gemini is supposed to be like, there's like two sides of them?
Those are your sides.
I'm spicy and like so soft at the same time.
Okay.
So if you guys listen to Off the Vine, you're probably already listening to Girls Got to eat too.
I friggin' love these girls.
They were actually just on the pod.
and I was on theirs too.
So if you're not listening, you're missing out on some good laughs.
So let me give you a refresher on these girls in their pod, okay?
So Girls' Got to Eat is hosted by Ashley Heseltine.
She's a stand-up comedian who is passionate about fitness, dogs, and dirty talk, all very important things.
And Raina Greenberg, a former food blogger who is passionate about tattoos, carbs, and blowjobs,
equally important things.
Their podcast is a top comedy pod all about dating, sex, and relationships.
They have new episodes every Monday where they discuss a huge range of dating,
related topics and bring in regular guests, including therapists, comedians, and authors.
It's just so damn funny, but also really informative, too.
Like, you might find yourself laughing about a funny dating story in one episode and then
crying about your ex and another episode and then making notes on how to share finances with
your partner in the next one.
When I went on their pod, we actually talked about mental health, dealing with your
partner's family, and sending nudes.
I had the best time.
Go check it out.
If you're not already listening, you can listen to new episodes of Girls Got to Eat
every Monday on your favorite podcast app.

Your boyfriend is so lovely.
You know when you meet someone and you just know
their demeanor or their like presence or their manners,
It's like, you're just like, oh, they seem, he seems like a really good person.
Oh, that's so sweet.
He is.
He is a really, it's a great person.
And you guys always do these fun things, like, and you're renovating, and you just, you just look happy and seem happy.
And he seems sweet.
Like, natural.
Yeah.
Easy.
So easy.
Yeah.
Which I never understood until this.
I feel that.
I, too, did not understand the ease that a relationship should feel.
I think I've convinced myself that it was supposed to be hard because you know people always say like marriage is hard and relationships are hard they are and work there are a lot of work and there are times where I'm like this is so hard but at the same time it's not it's only when you go through patches like it shouldn't be hard every day you know what I mean yeah like you should have this ease about your relationship where you feel confident and comfortable and safe stability yeah yeah like I'm never questioning like him or
us it's more just we just get annoyed at little things total that's exactly right yeah and that's how
it should be you should not question your person at all so i'm so happy for us yeah i'm so happy for you guys
too that's it so i meant for me and you oh i thought you meant for you and him i was like i'm happy for
you guys too i'm happy for us i meant us we deserve it and they deserve us you know yeah yeah
absolutely have you guys talked about the future or do you kind of like just go are you a more
or in the moment person.
No, we've definitely talked about the future.
I mean, there's no, like, plans on the horizon that I am aware of.
Yes, that you're aware of.
But, yeah, like, you do renovations together and vlog.
Yeah, it's so fun.
Yeah.
When I bought my house, I was like, I'm going to do DIY stuff.
I'm going to fix it up myself.
I don't want to put too much money, you know.
Mm-hmm.
And then once I started trying to do things myself, I was like, too hard.
So much.
It's so hard to do.
Like you were trying to like take a hammer to the ball and actually break down and redo.
Like that's what you're trying to do.
So it didn't need like a ton of work, but it was definitely dated.
Yeah.
But had like good bones.
So I think the biggest DIY thing we've done me and Brighton actually just this last week, like tore down the walls of the garage because we're just going to drywall it.
Yeah.
We were going to do that.
And then we decided, hey, let's just hire someone.
Yeah.
Okay.
We seem to ourselves that headache.
But we did, like, rip the carpet off the stairs.
I was determined to do the stairs myself.
Yeah.
Well, obviously, with Brighton's help, like, my dad, too.
Yeah.
So we ripped the carpet off of it ourselves, and that part was easy.
Yeah.
But we sanded it or Brighton sanded them down, trying to get them all, like, nice looking for, like, two full days.
And they're still core it.
Like, there's staples in the back carpet.
You're like, this is why we hire people.
Yes.
Yeah.
I know.
I was like, it's just going to take way too long.
Yeah.
Some things are fun.
That's very ambitious.
You were very ambitious.
I think I was a little too ambitious.
That's what I was trying to say.
That's okay because you know what?
You can, oh, that's, I have a handyman on standby.
I need that.
He is amazing.
You just got to find a, what, is, is Brighton a handyman?
Yes.
Oh, he is.
He's learning too.
That's cool.
My dad is super handy.
Dads are always so handy.
Our next generation is not because their dad's taught them.
And now we're in a generation where convenience.
No one knows.
Over everything.
Nobody even goes grocery shopping anymore.
if his Instacart is it.
Oh, I only use Instacart.
Same.
Same.
And so.
Yeah, it's a problem.
No, but he's pretty good.
Yeah.
And he's willing to learn.
Yeah.
Which is nice.
Yeah.
How did you guys meet?
We met like six years ago now.
Uh-uh.
Yeah.
We were friends before we dated for a long time.
Oh, that's cool.
But, and we like kind of had a thing.
We met bungalow in Huntington Beach.
Yeah.
Super random when I was like 21.
Yeah.
And we like kind of had a little thing.
you know on and off throughout the years but like nothing ever happened you know it's just like we
randomly like kissed here and there and we thought each other were cute yeah would flirt but then
like a year and a half ago now we reconnected and I didn't think anything of it because I was like
oh we're just friends you know like this we've we've tried this before and nothing right but he was
like really you weren't like into me then no I was but I just like had shut it off in my mind but
then we started hanging out and I was like oh here we are today that's sweet the spark was always
there that's cute I didn't know you guys knew each other before yeah is does he like cats he loves
cats now okay good I'm gonna out him here he I think he might love my cats more than I do oh my god
no way cute yeah are you still fostering cats I need to start fostering again but I keep failing
yeah I know adopting them so I'm like I have to stop I that would be me I'm not home enough to
foster animals.
Well, you have your two dogs.
Yes. And so we have the best
assistant and also
the woman that cleans our house
also is our house sitter. And they love
our dogs just as much as we do.
And so it's so comforting to know that they don't
have to go somewhere and that they're home and
that we have people. Because I've
obviously have been gone for so long now.
Has Jason been home? Yes. So Jason's been home. So I don't feel as guilty.
Oh, he must miss you so much. Oh my gosh. I can't
wait. Tomorrow. I'm back in my
own bed. I cannot wait to cuddle my dogs. Wait, is he still out here or is he? Yeah, so he's doing a big
tour for his book. Oh, that launched. So yeah. He's worked so hard on it. It's amazing. Oh, I'm so
part of them. Serious power couple. Yeah. So nice. I am just envious of you guys. Well, don't be
because we're tired by you guys. That's nice. We, I mean, I'm inspired by a lot. I'm inspired by
people that are ambitious to do DIY projects on their house, even if they don't get it done.
Don't me.
Have you and Brighton talked about love languages?
Like, do you know what each other's love languages?
I feel like that's always like a good starting point for people.
I'm so into that kind of stuff.
Like, I love personality tests and love languages kind of thing.
And I think guys are just, well, he grew up with like three brothers.
Oh, he did?
Four.
So it's like very foreign to him.
Like anything feminine.
Yes.
Totally.
Yeah.
Four boys is a lot.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
They're fun, though.
Their family's great.
Are they?
oh yeah it's very loud when you go over four boys how could it i don't think they probably the parents
probably have never had a quiet day in their life no they've had kids oh my gosh that's so fun
are they from here yeah they're from um well they kind of like moved around a lot in jersey for a little
bit so did i it is really weird yeah that we both live in jersey for a yes but in like san clemenny
sanapoint area wait i didn't we didn't finish the love language oh you're right
Yeah. Why do you keep in this? Because we are just, have too much to say.
Okay. Let's see. Uh, love language. And because we both went out late last night.
Yeah. Why did we do that? I went to bed at 4.30 in the morning. Okay. You're, but yeah, because my love language has been changing lately. Isn't that funny? It's been changing. Yes. Wait, how, is that even possible? Yeah, because I, before I needed words of affirmation, but now that's like the way Jason shows love to everybody. He's just so good with.
like complimenting and with worth that I'm like oh good now I'm like more acts of service
where I like like things being done and I it's I think I'm not I think I'm all of them well I think
we all are all of them except for I don't give a shit about gifts yeah I mean either yeah I'm not a
gift person I also okay isn't your love language the way that you show it or is it there's
way that you feel it so I show and feel very different love languages I show my love through acts of
service big time and I used to like to receive it through words of affirmation but now it's
changing to acts of service so I guess maybe it was all along maybe it was I was just with the
wrong person I thought I just needed validation from them yeah okay wow oh wow we just got
you know it's funny though is I'm fully acts of service I think I'm okay well let's see all of
them but big one is acts of service yeah but Ryan's also really good at words of affirmation
And I always thought, you know, kind of same boat as you, but I needed that.
And then now that I have it, I'm like, now I want something else.
I know.
And then if he started showing it another way, you'd probably be like, maybe I do want gifts.
That's so funny.
I get that, though.
I get that.
And then what is, do you know, how he likes to receive love?
He's very words of affirmation-y, I would say.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Are you good at words of affirmation?
I think I'm pretty good at words of affirmation.
Because I'm terrible.
I think I'm so nice.
I'm freaking you are you're a very sweet how are you bad at that you know you're no I'm bad I am no I am really like Jason will say something to I I will like try and cook him the nicest dinner and like buy him the nicest wine and like set things up and I like try and make romantic situations or like I will do everything else to show but he'll be like oh like you just you're so motivated and you're doing so many things I'm so proud of you.
goes okay now you say something nice back to me because i'll be like and i panic i go okay thanks
i don't know why you just like feel awkward but to my friends i will compliment them all day long
i can maybe it's because you're overthinking it and you like maybe on the spot you're like
oh i know you need this but i don't know how to do it yeah maybe i just like feel too pressure that was
so funny what you just did what when you when you panicked quote panic that is what i do and he
even makes fun to me for the noises that come out of my mouth because I'll literally be like
I don't know what to say I love you yeah that's what I'm so handsome that's what I always see I go
well I love you okay uh but that's cute so you guys have been together for a year and a half now
is that what it is oh my gosh cute over I was like wow it's really been a long time well
pandemic wild did you know you have to come into this podcast with a confession
I was thinking on my way over here, and I was like, right in.
I was like, what, what's my confession?
What's an embarrassing moment?
And he goes, when you first farted in front of me, but it was a day-hating.
Tell.
Oh, it was horrible.
But now I was like, I can't tell that story.
Did that open the floodgates?
Like, now do you guys toot in front of each other all the time?
He does.
Oh, he's really good at that.
That's amazing.
Okay.
I'm like, I don't do that yet.
Yet.
You're like, maybe at the two-year mark.
Yeah, maybe a year and a half, yes.
no what tell me the story i'm scarred for my story no it's actually not that bad it was like horrible
in the moment you know like we were a week into dating yeah oh that's really super into each other yeah
or i was super into him yeah i hope he was super into me yeah of course he was but we were like
laying there laughing hysterically at something and you know like the one week mark you're kind of
like who is this going to turn into something like i'm so into this person you're like just
infatuated yeah and we're laying there laughing at something so hard and i like the one
like just let on red fart so loud and i was like and then he starts laughing even harder
well first gets really quiet right and we're like and then i'm like oh my god and then we both
start laughing super hard and then after that i was so like he like me anymore is he still attracted
to me and then i was reading into everything you know i was like hilarious i just his friend again
yeah yeah you're like did i friends of myself with that freaking fart oh it's not even that bad
But it was just when you were first dating.
Yeah, because that's the least sexiest thing you could possibly do.
I know.
So I get it.
It's a good thing.
He has three brothers.
Totally.
I think he thought it was like.
He probably thought it was like funny and he was like, oh, I like it.
I'm like, it was cute fart.
Yeah.
It's a cute one.
Oh my gosh.
I also just random ask questions for you because I just like when my listeners get to know my
guest a little bit better.
And you are a little bit more on the quiet side, which I also like about you because it makes you
mysterious.
So mysterious.
And not.
Yeah.
Yeah, but you're not thirsty, and I appreciate that.
Oh, thank you.
So these are just random ask questions.
Okay, do you have, some people hate this, which I do, so I get it if you do too.
I hate a five-year plan question, but some people, I love goals and planning and list.
Give me your five-year plan.
Where do you say you hate these things or you love them?
I hate a five-year plan.
I'm like, I don't know.
I don't even know what I'm doing next week.
Yes, he does.
See, every relationship has to have one person he does.
That's me and mine.
Yes. Are you like a more logical thinker? Oh yeah. Yeah. Okay. It's like the artist, creative one. Yes. Very like himself. Yeah. And I'm like, you need to make choreless. Yeah. And did you water the plants today? Okay. Good. Then you must have a vision of five years from now. You know, I, it's so fun. I do. I could think of one. Okay. But I also haven't thought of this in a while. Yeah. You know, it changes.
Yeah, that's, if you asked me five years ago, what my five-year plan was, I would have kids right now.
It's same.
Yeah, exactly.
I thought I was going to have kids when I was like, I think my mom was 21.
Yeah.
And so growing up, I always thought I was going to have kids at 21.
Yeah.
And now that's almost six years ago.
Oh.
But that's your, the five-year thing does change.
But in this moment, Cassie, right now, in five years, where do you see yourself?
I want kids in five years.
Yeah.
How many kids do you want?
I think three or four.
Yeah.
You know, I think that's a good number.
You come from a bigger family too, so I feel like people, the same thing.
You always want.
You always want.
So then you're like that.
But you were from.
Yes, exactly.
And I want two, and that's what I came from.
How funny.
Yeah.
Yeah, I want, it's so funny because I want three because I am one of three.
Yeah.
Brighton wants four because he's one of four.
Yeah.
You want two.
Yes.
Makes sense.
Oh, that's cute, that's cute, though, that you both want a lot of kids.
So that's good.
You think that's a lot?
Yeah.
Really?
Anything more than two is a lot, in my opinion.
Maybe one day I'll want two.
I know, that doesn't sound too bad right now.
I don't know how I could even handle one.
I mean, I was going to say one sounds actually pretty nice to me.
Or none at the moment, you know.
Not the moment, but we're talking five years for now.
So that was, okay, you'll have babies.
Of kids.
Yeah.
You know, one or two, probably.
Probably not all four in five years.
I mean, I'd have to start now.
That would be impressive.
I want to be in Orange County still.
Mm-hmm.
I want a second home.
Mm-hmm.
That'd be nice.
That'd be really nice.
Sounds nice.
I want to have my speech therapy clinic.
Yes.
Or at least like my own practice doing something in speech.
That'd be really nice.
Because you, when did you graduate?
In June, May.
This year.
You graduated and bought a house.
Like, do you feel like such an adult?
Oh my gosh.
I feel like it just hit me this year.
That's awesome.
I got on my own insurance.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Bada house, graduated school.
Got like a out of school.
master's degree job good for you and I'm a serious boyfriend yeah I'm like wow it just all
hits at the same time you're all grown up always happened yeah kind of you worked so hard at school
you went through some crazy stuff you were on national television like you were going through
whirlwinds where when you got through it all everything now is falling into place that's true
it doesn't it doesn't feel like it's like so easy yeah no things still feel crazy is what I'm
trying to say but think about how you got there
Yeah, but then you have to look at, like, how far you've come from things, and it's shocking.
Oh, it's like, even for you, I'm sure.
Okay.
So your life is so crazy, Caitlin.
I don't know how you do it.
I don't know either sometimes.
I was like, I told you this earlier, but I was telling Brighton in the car, I was like, oh, yeah, she does this, and she does this.
And she does this.
I was like, yeah, but everything.
Can I tell you that I had $5 in my account when I was your age?
and could not afford my rent in a 420 square foot apartment.
That's what Bachelor will do to you though.
Before I went on Bachelor, I like found this piece of paper of me like budgeting myself.
Yeah.
And I had jobs that like would pay me every three months.
I was terrible.
Like substitute teaching.
I was in school.
Rote college student.
And I think I had like a hundred dollars to spend between October and December.
And I was like, this is what I'm going to spend it on.
Yeah.
This is how I'm going to survive.
I'm living out with my parents and I'm like in debt on my credit card like $20.
Good for you.
My gosh.
I was like, Dad, I need help.
I ask for help all the time.
But do you think The Bachelor does give people an opportunity to like switch career paths and like do something?
Like do you think that people now are going on the show knowing that they can have a better career than they did before?
Oh, 100%.
Yeah.
Right?
Like how could you not know that?
And do you think that's a bad thing that they do it?
Because I don't.
I think it's, I'm like, hey, if you have an opportunity that's presented in front of you.
I mean, I think any opportunity is an opportunity, you know?
So you have to know going on to a huge show.
Yeah.
That there's going to be things that come afterwards.
Right.
Besides just having a relationship, if it works out for you.
Right.
But like for what, 29 people, it doesn't work out.
Right.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's, everyone gets so annoyed that everyone's there just for Instagram followers.
I'm like, yeah, but if you had an opportunity in front of you to gain a bunch of Instagram
followers and maybe want a platform for good to start a business, maybe you had a passion
that you want to, yeah, I think it's great.
I mean, I get that it becomes annoying when the bachelor people and like anyone on reality
TV gets like addicted to that attention and uses it in a bad way.
You can tell when people are like what you said earlier, like just not good people
or when they are.
Yeah.
And I think, I mean, if you go on The Bachelor,
and happen to fall in love, great.
But if you don't, like, at least you still have this cool platform.
Yeah, exactly.
And you can do good things.
You can raise money for things.
You can have a voice.
You can start a business.
You can do what you're passionate about.
And I think it's great.
I think it's so great.
As long as you're not fucking annoying on social media, then it's great.
There's so many people.
Mute is my friend.
Okay, what are the top three ways that you deal with stress?
Ooh.
I know I'm trying to think about it even for myself I cry yes I feel like we're very similar I cry and it makes me feel so much better I cry everything I cry when I'm mad when I'm sad when I'm like confused I just cry yeah all the time therapeutic I do too yeah it's necessary yeah because then sometimes you just have to have like a cute little minty bead little breakdown and then you get your shit together and then you figure it out yeah I really do feel that way it's better than bottling it up it's way better than bottling it up I'm trying to think
think okay so you cry i do that too when i ways i deal with stress i usually talk to like my
like closest friends or family do you have like event sesh yeah for sure i make list uh you're list maker
i'm a lister yeah i'm a list maker because it's that feel that feeling of crossing something
off the list yeah like this morning i was like oh my gosh i'm stressed because i feel like i'm not
doing anything that i need to be getting done and i was like i'm going to write a list yeah
I feel you on that one.
It made me feel better.
I'm,
I am not a planner kind of person, but I do love a list.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
I can't just, like, avoid my stress, too.
Yeah.
I wish I was a little bit more of like, all right.
It's fine.
It's stressed.
But I'm like, this has to go away.
Yeah.
I could not be stressed.
That's good.
You know what to do to fix it, and that's amazing.
Do you believe in aliens?
I know.
Yeah.
Do you believe it?
I'm telling you, I said it was a bunch of random-ass questions.
Oh, this is funny.
I don't not believe in aliens.
That's me.
I don't not believe in them either.
I don't know anything.
I know there's some weird things out there.
Yeah.
I don't not believe in them either.
I'm like, I don't know if I don't think they look like out of the movies, like the big.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I believe there's something.
There has to be.
I know.
There's too many weird things happening these days too that I'm like.
I feel like the government is slowly introducing aliens to us.
Like I'm like.
Why is that?
I don't know because with the whole pandemic, everything that kept happening.
I saw the funniest meme one time.
I think I said this on my podcast, too, another time where it literally said, we're at a point in life where, like, so many bad things keep happening.
Where if one day somebody was like, well, now the trees, trees kill people.
The trees come alive and kill people.
It would be like, yeah.
Maybe like, yes.
Yeah, they do, don't they?
That makes sense.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I feel like the next thing is going to be.
And I had a guy on my podcast who is he could read the future, as he, so he said.
And he was a psychic.
And he said aliens will be definitely like, no.
within five years.
No.
Yeah.
I ran into a psychic in L.A.
And I just had this urge to go sit down and talk to her.
She was literally on the side of the street.
And she told me, and she was like this little old lady who had no idea, like the bachelor or who I was, nothing.
And she was like, I don't know why, but I have, she goes, something big is going to happen for you with like a passion in your life.
She goes, I think it might be on television.
And I won the mirror ball like four weeks later.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
I know.
And she said a few things.
that were like i was like okay i don't know i think that stuff is i have actually crazy story like
that too before i was on bachelor well there's a few things that were weird before bachelor i went on
because i had a dream about it so you had a dream about going on the bachelor that's why you went on
yeah it's the only reason and then i mean yeah i didn't go on for like three more years but that's the
only reason i went and like applied as soon as i woke up i was like whoa like can you even get
on the show like bash up you know yeah and i looked it up on my phone and they were having
castings 10 minutes from my house no way and so i went and then they kept calling me every year
and it just worked out whoa so weird that's really weird so weird and i was like i just knew it was
going to happen yeah i wasn't even like do you manifest like do you vision i manifest in my house
yeah see i believe in that stuff yeah i'm like a weird way but i'm weird i think i will fully
manifest the shit out of it. I will like put it in my mirrors and like no that's so healthy though
yeah is it you know is it I think so I'm not kidding every time at 11 11 I picture myself on a private
jet with my dogs I'm gonna start doing that I think you're on your way there that's trying
that is my end goal I'm gonna do that that's my only manifesting the whole like five year plan
whatever my end goal of life is that I will have a private jet with golden retrievers on it
I would love that with my cats yeah with you of course
Of course, yeah, of course.
Maybe it's a dog, you know.
You'll be like, you could like wrap the plane as a cat and fly through the air.
Oh my gosh, like the little ears.
Yeah, I can envision it right now.
That's your 10-year plan.
Yeah, that's my 10-year plan.
That's my long-term goal.
That's amazing.
Oh, but, yeah.
I had to tell you my, I had a similar experience that you did with the lady on the side of the street.
Oh, tell me.
I think it was after I had my dream.
I went my really good friend, Jacqueline, her family.
Like, they're really big on prayer.
Yeah.
And I was at her house visiting her, and I can't remember why I was there, but her whole family was there.
There was one lady in her family, she, like, prayed over.
She was like, I really want to pray over you and, like, pray out loud, you know?
Yeah.
And she started, in her prayer, she started talking about how there's going to be this huge media thing for me.
And I was in school.
Like, I was at Biola doing, working at a coffee shop.
Yeah.
And she was like, you're going to be in the media.
It's going to be huge.
like you're going to like have there's going to be a lot of attention on you like people are
going to see you like just a media thing and I was like what is she even talking about and then
bachelor happened and she didn't even know me I didn't know her yeah at all that's so weird
I love that stuff so much like I record all of my I have it on recording yeah oh and I'm like I get
chills watching it because I'm like, it's just strange how real that stuff can be.
You should re-listen to it and see if anything else has come true.
Yeah, I should.
That's, that is the reason I record.
I want to go back here.
I'm like, I had a, I had a dog medium read my dogs.
No.
And she was bang on about them.
And it was before I even like, my one dog, Pino, I didn't like have him for very long.
And she nailed his personality
Like where like even moving forward he's got grown into that personality that she
No way
Do you think it's like manifesting it though?
Maybe or do you think it's I don't know man there's something out there in this world that's just like
We're just sims characters and someone's doing this shit to us. I don't know. It's really weird
Yeah, I feel like that stuff can get like scary, but the same time is so fast. It's so cool
It really is. Okay last random question
If there was a song that played every time you walked in a room
What song would it be?
I feel like you'd be really good at answering this.
For you, I'm like, I picture like a really sweet Taylor Swift song.
I feel so lame.
No.
What would mine be?
I've never, I feel like I've thought about like my, you know, when you walk up to the plate for baseball, they play your song.
Yeah.
I was thinking about what my song would be and I think it would be like a common thought you have.
Yeah, it is.
No, I always think I would like walk up to like ice cube, baby.
Like a just the most random like.
Early 2000s rap song
I feel like it would definitely be in that era
Yeah Rihanna
You'd walk into like a
Oh yeah Desperato
Sitting in a old Monte Carlo
Oh no no no it would be a Britney Spears song
For sure
She's so lucky
She's a star
Oh that's cute
Oh no that's sad
That's a sad song
What about hit me baby one more time
That's a good one
That is a good one but does it explain
Okay fine it doesn't have to be that deep
that you just walk into make you feel empowered okay fine hit me baby one more time it is okay no this is
the last one we're ending it on a low note oh no what is the worst date that you've ever been on
oh trying to think of a really terrible dating experience i always feel bad like giving bad
date stories because i'm like what if they listen to this you know well then they'll learn a lesson
yes so i don't do it again i actually remember it wasn't even like i know it was pretty
cringy I had this friend in college it won't name him but he probably doesn't listen but
he probably won't but um he took me he was really into me and he to me like he was just my friend
and he knew that yeah like he knew I was like in someone else like he's my friend took me to this
baseball game randomly I can't remember why I went but I did and he he we got on the kiss cam
right oh no and I felt so awkward I was like oh my god like what
I do what I do. I think I ended up kissing him on the cheek. I don't know. I kind of blacked out
my memory. I found out a week later, he did it on purpose. Stop. Stop. Stop. He knew the guy backstage
doing it. And God is on the kiss cam on purpose. But wait, that is a high risk, high reward move
because if it doesn't work out, he looks like an idiot in front of a lot of people. He did. And he did.
I felt so bad, but I was also like, I'm not kissing you. Like, what? Oh my gosh. So then he just
look stupid on a jumbo-tron.
And I was like, after that, like, I just kind of like ruined our friendship in a way because
I found out that he was like trying to con me into like kissing him.
I was like, that's some grounds.
What's with?
We are these stupid guys.
Guys just can't hear no.
Yeah.
That's when you know you found a good one is when no means no to a guy.
You know, no means no.
Now that no means no, I'm like, you're just going to let me say no.
Yeah.
Do you even care?
Wait a sec.
You are me.
We are the same person.
Everything, everything, absolutely everything.
That's so funny.
Well, you know what?
We are who we are.
