Starting point is 00:02:22 yeah the little sweet baby over there um perfect thanks for coming oh It could have been bad. Cheers. It also been really great. You just filled it all over myself as soon as you walked in. Okay. This is so interesting for me because, well, first of all, we're in New York City. And thank you for coming on by yourself.
Starting point is 00:02:40 I know that's probably so scary for you. No, you're so welcome. I'm happy to be here. You're so welcome. Kate, I have to tell you, this is extremely exciting. And you don't even know why. Okay. This episode specifically is very exciting.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Okay. It is my very first. YouTube video. Amazing. Welcome to the world of YouTube. I'm 10 years late. Yay! And I'm finally here.
Starting point is 00:03:06 And I'm so excited because, well, I wanted to do YouTube for so long. And I always was like, do people even watch YouTube's anymore? They do. But they do. They do. It's funny. It's kind of made its way back around. Like, it was like everything was on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And then everyone told you not to do YouTube. It was like YouTube so saturated. Right. The big people on YouTube are the only people that people care about. Yeah. And now it's come back. It's a full circle. And everybody with podcasts wants to do a visual element to it too because so many people now watch podcasts.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Well, when I was thinking about it. It's basically just like making your own TV show now. Because you can just put YouTube on your smart TV and then it's like people are just watching an episode of Off the Vine or Chicks in the Office. I have to point out, look at us both wearing our merch. This is brand new You're just kind of in everybody's face Mine's like subtle OTD I kind of like that
Starting point is 00:04:00 We took this from Big 70s Fies going on right now You know Daisy Jones I was gonna say it reminds me of That 70s show Yeah it's basically the Oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:04:10 That classic 70s logo I like it Thank you for popping my YouTube cherry I'm so happy to take it This is so exciting And now I know why I look so cute in here I was like I have done Caitlin show before It is not looks like
Starting point is 00:04:25 Nice. She doesn't usually wear makeup or have flowers and all, yeah, I really pulled out all the stops. Well, I wish it was my off the vine office. We've unfortunately got hotel art in the back here, but. It could be way worse. It could be way worse. There's, I've seen, you know, hotel art could be pretty bad. That's true. That's not so bad. I want to know if you have any advice for me for doing YouTube. Oh, advice is you have to be super. Consistent. Okay. It's like, if you start doing it, commit to it and make sure every episode is on. And we've also found that timing is also people, you want to be like, every episode drops at this time on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:05:11 So everyone knows. Yeah, like just like how, just like how with a TV show, you tune in at 8 o'clock, you know what's on. Everybody knows. Everybody knows that Off the Vine is on YouTube at this time. And you like, it's not. People aren't guessing where it is or what time is going to come out. It's like consistent because we found that ours has viewer-wise, it is helped. That is we've gone a more of a stricter schedule.
Starting point is 00:05:35 So what time is the prime time? When's the sweet spot? That I don't know. I wish I did. But we just, I mean, we do three episodes a week, so we just try and make sure that in the morning it comes out. I guess I have to be consistent because it's in the contract. I did sign a contract. But I'm really excited about you do three videos a week.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Yeah, we film every podcast and it all goes on YouTube. How quick do you flip it around? Like, your cutting sems is obviously live. Is that count as an episode? Our producers are fast. Sometimes we'll include cutting stems in the episode. Sometimes we won't. It depends because we do recaps with Trent often on the show that we'll just do, like, Ria, myself, and Trent.
Starting point is 00:06:13 But we record Monday mornings. That comes out by Monday afternoon. The YouTube is always a little bit later on Mondays because it's the same day. Tuesday we do for Wednesday and Thursday we do for Friday. Okay. So it's a nightly turnaround. That's impressive though. For anybody one, Sarah, they're dynamic duo.
Starting point is 00:06:35 They're crushing it, yeah. Alicia, you're good, too. Yeah. She looks over me. I want Alicia to, like, be one of my producers, like, on Caleb's where he has... Oh, Lenny Balls. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I want Alicia because one time we were, like, celebrating doing, like, we're going to do YouTube, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:06:52 And we went to have champagne on Facebook. time and she showed up in like one of those hairy chest bathing suits like a man's boobs and everything and then she had like a safari shirt on and a safari hat and she was like like she was like hey yeah let's celebrate and i'm like are we just gonna like brush past the fact of what you're wearing right now and now i just want her to sit on the side of a podcast dress like that 90% of the time well actually i don't know about 90% but like 70 i would say we'd talk about like serious things They're mental health issues. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:07:26 She's dressed. She's got a hairy chest in the corner. I feel like it would be hilarious. Also, hilarious. Ria in a clown suit. It was so funny. Why do I not know the background of this? Why was she in a clown suit?
Starting point is 00:07:39 So I'll sum it up as quick as I can. She basically got a DM from a girl that was adamant that she had the scoop, that she had this spoiler. It really, really was like a rumor. We should have probably phrased it as like, you need to have that girl on the podcast who started the shit. Yeah, yeah. Well, Rias got back and forth with her many times. And so this whole past week, really, I'm sitting on this information.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Nobody else has it. Like, this girl swears it's true. This whole thing. And so the rest of the cutting stems team, me, Kelly, Trent, we didn't want to know about it. We were like, if this is true, we want to find out during the finale. Right. Because we like to be unspoiled when we watch the season. So we're like, we don't want to know what happens.
Starting point is 00:08:27 So she holds it. She holds it. She's telling people she makes a video. So she makes a video on Friday. I saw that. And explaining it. She's like, I have a spoiler. It blows up.
Starting point is 00:08:36 We say to her, if you're wrong, we have to come up with something for you to do. And so Devin, who runs our social, Devin came up with the idea that she had to dress like a clown on cutting subs if she was wrong. That's good. And so as we're watching after the final row, and it's clearly not happening. Like, Zach and Katie have come out. They're, like, in love and kissing. And, like, Rea's just, like, putting on the bow tie and putting on the nose and, like, one by one, putting on this outfit to do cutting stems.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Why did this girl say she was adamant? Why was this girl so adamant on the fact that she knew the spoiler? I don't know. She claimed that her... Basically, this also, by the way, the spoiler was that Zach actually was now a chest. It was pretty much the... Right, that was like... And she claimed that her friend...
Starting point is 00:09:22 was best friends with Jess's best friends. So this bitch is a liar. And so now she's, I guess her, she was like, I got, she was like, my friend lied to me. And it was like, well, did they lie to you? Or, or did you make this up? Yeah, or did you make this up? So, that feels a little made up. Yeah, so, um, not true. Not, uh, sure. Chicks Me Office team is out of the spoiler game. We're just going to commentate as we go forward.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Didn't the franchise, the Bachelor franchise, want to fly you guys out for the finale? Yes. Why? Just to get your reaction? I think because the finale was kind of boring. Like, because nothing really happened. Like, it was happy ending. I'm happy for Zach and Katie, but, like, it was, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Three hours is a lot of time to fill. And it was the classic, like, heartbroken runner up. Yeah. Katie and Zach are happy. They're in a good place. There was not a single, like, bad moment for Katie and Zach to talk about. So I think in their minds, it was like, like, we just completely made up this, this rumor that if people know, like, oh, my God, now they're all there in the audience.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Like, you want to watch to see if it's true. Yeah. Like, I think it just stirred up more discussion about a finale that production knew wasn't, could it be anything spectacular. It's just so funny because even Jesse Palmer, he freaking kills me with his mannerisms. Oh, I know. And he was like. He whispered talking. He whispered talks for him when he does the after the final rose.
Starting point is 00:10:51 now it crap like he's like and we'll be right back yeah after the break after the break it's like why why do you start whispering do you want to know what i think that the reason well okay two things jesse palmer when he's like and it and every season this happens it happened when i was the host it happened with chris harrison now it's with him they always say and if you think you know how it ends yes just wait or like you don't yeah believe me you don't and you're like i know well that's every And every time Jesse threw out a line like that, it is the most, it is used every season. Every season.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Every, and, but every time Jesse said something like that, Rio was like, maybe I'm right. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. And it just didn't happen. I think that Ria caused people to tune in more. 100%. Like, we had people tweeting us. They were like, we haven't watched the season at all,
Starting point is 00:11:41 but we're watching the finale to see if we're, spoiler is true. That is so funny. So it got a lot of eyeballs. And she had a lot of interaction. People were like, you know what? I wanted to see if you were right or wrong. And you were wrong.
Starting point is 00:11:54 There's a lot of satisfaction. Like, there's a lot of satisfaction in watching someone be right and also wrong. That's true. So either way. That's true. America loves a funny moment. A fail. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:12:06 They love a win and they love a fail. Exactly. And then she had the whole clown thing. She completely committed to it. That's a, well, you've got to commit. Yes. If there's anything anyone takes away from this podcast, it's that commitment is everything. She was like, I hand up.
Starting point is 00:12:21 She was like, I was wrong. Here's why I think Jesse whispers. You get little ear pieces in when you're hosting because you have to know when to cut to commercial, like if something's taking too long or whatever. But you have loud in his ear. This man, Bennett, in your ear. And Bennett tries to be really soft-spoken in your ear. And I think it like comes out and Jesse's voice because he's like, wow, I'm really sorry
Starting point is 00:12:46 you went through that. Right. Bennett's in his ear being like, okay, we, I know. Gabby's crying, but we have to cut to commercial in 30 seconds. Yeah, exactly. And so, Jess, he's like, okay, Zach, this is live. So you got any of your comments, but you got it's got to be quick. Gabby just spoke for five minutes.
Starting point is 00:13:00 You have 20 seconds to respond. I love that. He's like the lead. He's supposed to have like a voice. And they're like, wrap it up, Zach. You got, yeah, they're like 10 seconds. Gabby, you got a lot to say you get five seconds to respond. And then we're going to commercial.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Okay, shopping and for clothes can really feel like a compromise of choosing between expensive luxury pieces or settling for a cheap fast fashion item, but I recently found a brand where I don't have to settle, and that is quince. They have high quality timeless pieces without that luxury price tag. They really do have all the must-have items you could want like 100% Mongolian cashmere sweater for only $50 and 100% European linen pants for $40, who doesn't love a pair of linen pants. And all their prices are 50 to 80% less than similar luxury brands. And because Quince creates timeless classic styles that won't go out of fashion, you'll have them in your closet forever.

And they're all actually maybe the comfiest material I've ever felt and really cute and just won't go out of style. And it's affordable. Starting point is 00:14:53 This I feel like Jason Tarduk right now He always has a pen in his hand when he like talks business And I feel like I'm like why do I even have Really? She has a pen in her hand She feels like she is more powerful Yeah Like it's like she's the statement Like their points that are hitting
Starting point is 00:15:09 I don't like it but I do like my nails clicking on it Okay yeah which Do you ever have great right now? Don't look up close No I put the wrong ones. Mine look bad from close up. These nails are really cute. My girlfriend has her own press on nail company, and I actually am obsessed with all
Starting point is 00:15:25 of the design she does, because it'll be like, oh, chrome are in, and then she'll be like, here's chrome cookies, but I accidentally put the wrong middle finger one on and look up close. Oh, I mean, you still can't. It's not that bad. Have you ever had nails this long? My nails are, these are my nails right now. Oh, yeah, those are long.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Yeah, they're long, and they're grown out. I have to go. I'm going tomorrow, but I actually, I cannot do. press-ons because I have weird thumbs. What do you got weird thumbs? You got toe thumbs? I have the Megan Fox. Oh my God, how many Fox of you? Yeah. Oh, if Megan Fox didn't have them, I'd be insecure about them, but I'm not.
Starting point is 00:15:57 She saved my life as a teen. Yeah, because she's a 10 and she has toe thumbs. Yeah. It's so like, if I get if I've tried it, but if I were to get like tips with French tips on for one, the size I need to fit the way. width of my thumb is so large that I can't and then I can't cut it down because it's like
Starting point is 00:16:23 then I get rid of the design. Does everyone know you have these toe thumbs? I think it's so cute. Okay. What I was going to say about long nails though is my girlfriend who is a personal shopper in Nashville, she always has the longest craziest nails and she can never like button up things when we're trying on clothes. And I was asking her how she wipes her butt. And I was like, how did like the Kardashians with her nails? Are you with your nails? How do you wipe your butt? So she gave me a whole thing they're in the Kardashians are always also in the gym like lifting weights I know how do you do that
Starting point is 00:16:52 with I don't but she taught me she was like I don't know swaddling and then yeah yeah just sco scoop it right up so today this is long as my nails I've ever been today I realized a new thing that I'm like wait how do people do this
Starting point is 00:17:08 how do you put on a tampon wait I just realized Kate I have to give this context It's a nail just... Because usually there's an applicator, but I had to get tampons in Europe. Yeah. And they don't have an applicator.
Starting point is 00:17:22 And now all the new ones, all like the organic and fresh new, or the better from the environment ones, like don't have the... Oh, yeah. I mean, that's what I was doing. I don't have the environmentally friendly. That's what I was doing. I have, we have those ones in the bathroom in our office. But I'm injured. I'm injured. I'm injured. Yeah. Not here. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm injured.
Starting point is 00:17:44 I was actually in the bathroom like, ow, yeah. So now I want to know, maybe I should call her on the podcast. How she does that? Yeah. She did text me earlier. I bet you she makes sure she gets home with the applicator. Okay, that's fair. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:17:58 That's fair. Okay, moving on. Right? Like, she's like, Kaylin. Just get the same back. It's a simple solution, you idiot. Everybody does that. Okay, wait, I need to know about you having your own billboard in Times Square.
Starting point is 00:18:11 We were very close to where it was. Really? Yeah. It was crazy. But you didn't, you guys didn't know? We had no idea. I mean, it's the most, like, parcel thing ever. We got an email on Friday, I guess it was maybe like two weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:18:27 We get an email being like, hey, this was up last night. And it was like the professional shots of the billboard at night. Yeah. And I guess this was through like Amazon music, I think, like, somebody from Barstall had told, well, somebody from Barstall spoke to them, and it was his job to then inform us, but he didn't until it was like, it's not really a big deal. You probably don't need to know, but. He was like, by the way, this happened last night. Here's the video. If you want to share it, just like, you know, tag Amazon music or
Starting point is 00:19:00 whatever. But we were like, this is going on my tombstone, you asshole. I'm not just going to gloss over the fan. It was crazy. And so he, it's Friday. We're like, should we just, should we just check? And so, no, our producer lives, he lived fairly close. He was like, I'm going to go for a run. I'll just go past and see it and see if I see it. And so he goes, and he's like, it's up. And it's like, it's, you know, every like 10 minutes, it's coming up. And so Rie and I came up and saw it together.
Starting point is 00:19:30 And then it literally went for a week. What? We had no idea. It went for a week. I went to a lot of Jones Brothers shows in Times Square. And I had one night where I was leaving the Jones Brothers show. And I'm in Times Square. and I'm by my friends are all separated
Starting point is 00:19:44 and I looked and I had a few drinks I was feeling good and I was like I was like what a great show I love I love the George brothers and then I looked up and was like our fucking billboard is still running like I'm like there's my face and the Jonas brothers are across the street Jonas brothers not only did you get to hang out of them
Starting point is 00:20:01 but now they look across the street so your face and then they go who's the big deal here I'm not sure why is everybody in their dogs meeting Jonas brothers lately The Josh brothers, uh, social, nobody is working harder than their social team right now. They want those guys on TikTok more than any, like they, they, it's all, it's TikTok. They, I mean, they're, the guys are pushing TikTok hard themselves, but then they are also, their team is making sure that like TikTok influencers are invited to their events and they make
Starting point is 00:20:33 the videos and they're all seen together. It's a very, um, strategic move, I think, on their part that's why they're trying. new album coming out, so it's like they're really trying to, just like how every Megan trainer song is like a viral TikTok sound. I think they want the Jonas Brothers to have those same viral TikTok music moments. I wonder if the Jonas
Starting point is 00:20:51 brothers enjoy that. Like, if they're all for it or if they're like, oh my gosh. I think Kevin is probably like yeah. Nick and Joe, Nick probably also's a little like, eh, but Joe, I think Joe likes it. Joe loves it. Joe, in their heyday, like,
Starting point is 00:21:10 Early on, they, not that they're not, they're hating now. I love you guys. They're in the second hated. Exactly. They're in the resurgence. But they were like big on YouTube videos. Like they made all these funny. They would do sketches together. Like they liked, they did all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Okay. So I think it's just kind of like a different twist on what they used to do, but now in a different form. What are they going to do if China shuts down? What are we all going to do? Well, I'm just fine because my TikTok game sucks. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I joked. We talked about that. on our show too. We were like, we, hot take, we wouldn't be that upset. Our phone, our screen time would be way down. We're not good at making them. So I, but then we were like, that would suck for a lot of people who would suck for a lot of work. For the people that are solely like millions and millions on TikTok and it hasn't translated, then I would be like, that sucks. That's true. I actually laugh so hard. I saw somebody commented on one of my TikToks. How do you have so many followers in such low engagement? And I was like, that's a great question. I actually would like to know
Starting point is 00:22:08 as well. I'm also trying to find out the answer to that. It was like a funny video and I had like honestly two comments and I was like this is. TikTok is hard. Why? It used to be so easy. And when I could have, I could have really taken it to the next level at one point and I was just lazy. And now I'm like, hey, I'll do two a day. What do you want for me? I know. I think it's just because the way we, I've always thought about it and it's harder to because there are people who start on themselves on social and then their brand grows from there. And then it's like, and then they start doing podcasting or TV or something else. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:42 You were on TV, but then like podcasting. Right. And it's for myself, it was, you know, podcasting. And so, of course, we were being filmed and there were clips going out. But the act of physically filming myself. Yeah. I never really got super comfortable with. Let's like, we should say something right now and then use it as a clip and make it go super viral.
Starting point is 00:23:04 And the people tune in and be like, they didn't say anything, but it'll do well on TikTok. like Mike Fleece leaving the Bachelor franchise my favorite thing is when before we started recording you called him Mike Fleece I always call him Mike Fleece okay wait that's so funny not his name but I always call him Mike Fleeze but that made me so happy because I'll never forget one time when him and I were like having our beef I tweeted something and he was like maybe if she spelled my name right she'd get more opportunities or something like that and I was like oh I love that I spelled his name wrong I go out of my way Kelly's corrected me today.
Starting point is 00:23:40 She was like, I think it's flies. I was like, I don't care. No, it's fleece forever. I don't care. And, uh, Sianara. Yeah. Like, what is he? I'm pretty sure he's not been around for like five years anyways.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Like he shows up for the finale's, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't been around anyways. So I'm like, is anything to change? But I'm sure it's somebody that like, do you think it's somebody where even though he's not fully running the show if he saw something that he didn't. like he'd still have the power to be like I don't like that I don't think so really I think they almost are pushing him out well I know 100% I would think they want to push him out I feel like he's been like a formality but it's still like you still have this big ominous like I know monster we call them Oz but like like he's just you just like don't see him I I called him an ogre so I is Oz yeah oh my gosh that's exactly but I'll never forget when I was on
Starting point is 00:24:38 I can't remember if it was The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. No, it must have been The Bachelor because I had no idea who he was. And I kept being like, who is this man walking around and flip-flops, drinking white wine with, like, his glasses tinting in the sun. I'm unsure who he is, but he just keeps lingering. And then they're like, that's the creator of the whole show. I was like, cool, cool, cool. Yeah. Hebe-jee-jee is just from that description.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Trust me. I have seen and heard it all from him. And I'm like. So I'm very excited at that. I mean, I don't know if it's totally a formality. Starting point is 00:27:41 but this person said, I actually told HR so many times he's a misogynistic racist, and I'm no longer interested in making him money. Mike drop. And that's, I'm like, everyone kind of knows that. There were allegations against him from his ex-wife or girlfriend or wherever. It was, there's a laundry list of issues. It's insane that he was attached for this long. It really is insane.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Like the way they've made moves and like and things that have happened. Right. Chris Harrison swiftly removed. Like the fact that this guy was never removed or it's crazy. I, that just goes to show how messed up our world is with powerful men. Yeah. Powerful old white men in the boys club.
Starting point is 00:28:27 I hate that. Especially him. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Wait. I had something else I wanted to say about that because while we're on it. Shit, I lost it. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:28:40 I was saying like somebody that was there for over 20 years who started it. Then I start thinking about doing something for 20 years and I'm like, holy shit, that is a crazy amount of time. We've been podcasting for the same amount of time, five years, right? 20. Yeah. About, yeah. So about. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Do you Enri ever fight? I feel like I've asked you this before. Um, we fight like sisters. Uh, where it's like, you just get over it fast and you're allowed. You can like completely just say whatever you're feeling and then move on. It's like where sometimes there'll be pent up where it's like, all right, we're both pushing each other's buttons. Yeah. But a lot of times, like even if we are just pushing each other's buttons, we'll leave and be like, that really does matter.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Like we see each other every day. It's like you move on. I do get that sister energy. And if there's any time there is like an argument when it comes to like what we're doing, It really is very, it's very sister-like. Like, it's like, we can, we've never had a big, like, blowout fight. We've been, like, we've been, like, passive-aggressive with each other. But then we'll sit on it for, like, a couple hours and then be like, hey, I'm really sorry about what I said.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Like, that was mean. And then it's like, hey, no problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can see that between the two of you. It's not like that Kelly Kieg says, what was the podcast? Oh, mean, Mean Girls. Mean Girls podcast. Were you guys involved in that at all?
Starting point is 00:30:02 You're just like, I'm staying out of it. I normally, my rule of thumb, because, you know, Ria and I both have been at Barso for a long time. She's been there longer than I have. And I have just learned that unless it has to do with you, do not insert yourself. I just, it always spins. It always has turned into a bigger thing. People take sides. And then it's like, oh, dude, Fran doesn't like Kelly.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Oh, Fran doesn't like. the mean girl like it's just it's it's it spins into something else that was like their own issue yeah and sometimes it's just like hey you could have an opinion about something you don't have to say it right right like i i'm people were talking about it in the office all week and everyone had thoughts about it but not everyone was like i think i need to make a video and make a statement about this like it's like let's just just let it go let it die yeah yeah there's so many so much goes on in the barstool office And I always wish I was a fly. My role dumb is literally like I'm always like
Starting point is 00:31:05 think to yourself. You always get like Twitter fingers and you want to apply to something. And then you think am I going to be happy? I always think am I going to be happy I sent this tomorrow? And the answer is normally now. I wish I had your brain. I'm like am I going to be, fuck you. And then I go whoopsies. That's irrational. I'm
Starting point is 00:31:23 emotional. I know. Well that's and Maria's like that too. So we always go back and forth. I'm like Ria is this really worth it? Like, do you want to get it? Like, do you want to say it? Right. And she's like, you know, you're right. Yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 00:31:35 That's good. And now there's a new office opening in Chicago. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Fully new office. So many, so many people are going. It's like a lot of people. So what are they going to, like, you just have so many people at the office right now that you can open up another one in Chicago and send half of your people there?
Starting point is 00:31:53 Yeah. Pretty much. That's good. Would you guys go? I mean, it's a good thing. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I am very attached to New York. Yeah. But what if they offered you, like, stupid amounts of... For us, it just doesn't logistically make sense. Yeah. Because we're a show that centers around entertainment and pop culture, and we have these great guests. And, like... There's, like, basketball courts and, like, batting cages and rage rooms and orgy rooms.
Starting point is 00:32:20 They built this in the same place. So, obviously, we've already had... Hi, baby! Oh, my God, I can't. We just at the same time. Like, hi, baby. Maybe. There is an absolutely adorable golden retriever in here who, so cute.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I love him so much. It's been really hard to ignore him for the last, like, 30 minutes like. I know, I know. I have been looking over. What a beautiful baby. There's been guys that have been working in Chicago for a while. Oh, really? For years.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah, there's a very core group, and they have had, like, they worked. There's a very funny video of Dave showing up at their Chicago office for the first time. This was a few years ago, and they were, like, in the back room next to a traveler's insurance, like, in this office space that just, it was, he walked in and was like, this is where you guys work. And that kind of blew up. Then they built a new Chicago office that will fit more people for them. And now they are building an even bigger Chicago office for all the folks that are going out there. I think end of summer-ish is when people are leaving. That's so exciting.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Yeah, I mean, selfishly, it's moved a lot of stuff around in the New York office, so, like, Rhee and I are getting a bigger studio at the end of the month. At the end of next month. So, like, things are, like, reorganizing. And honestly, there's a lot of people in New York. We have to... I'm hoping that when this change happens, the New York office is going to get a little bit of a facelift,
Starting point is 00:33:50 because as of right now, it's just kind of... There's a lot of space not being utilized. I think when we first moved into the office and when the company first moved to New York, like the blogging and the website was, and it still is, but it was such a huge part. It still is. But with the pandemic, so many people realize that they can do a lot of that job from home. Yeah. Which is a lot of, you know, a lot of our writers are remote.
Starting point is 00:34:15 So we have all these big desks that were meant for, you know, people to sit on their computers all day and write and work. And now people can do that from home. Yeah. And now the landscape. just changed and people want visual stuff, people want TikToks, people want space. So it's like we could honestly get rid of so many of those desks and make like little entertainment areas, like certain things that could really be cool. So I think we'll probably go in that direction once people leave.
Starting point is 00:34:41 And then other people, you know, everybody's studios have changed. I want a rage room. You guys should build a rage room not only in Chicago, but in New York. That would be awesome. I've never been to one of you. No. Have I? No, I haven't.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Yeah. In my brain. I was like, yeah, have in my living room. I'm like, well, I kind of have because I, at my little retreat that I, my Hoffman retreat that I went to for my week of inner child work, I did beat the shit out of a pillow for a while. So I feel like that was kind of like a rage room for a hot minute. Yeah, but there's got to be something about like taking an axe to a table or like a,
Starting point is 00:35:17 they, they give you crazy stuff sometimes when you go into those things. Sometimes, okay, a couple things give me rage. um obviously my misophonia when people like chew i'm like i could murder yeah road rage i get really bad until i got my bronco now i'm like sure come me up i'm just fucking living in my like hand in the air like go around yeah i'm no cares of the world um and then what is my other ragey thing i don't know i feel like those are my two rage my my two do you have rage i can't see you having rage i don't have that much rage uh uh work-wise I mean, life-wise, not a lot.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Work-wise, the only time sometimes I do feel it is when I think we are being slighted in a way. Either slighted or we're not getting some of the recognition we deserve when it comes to our office world. Yeah. And I'm just like, you don't, like, we've been around for a long time. We're doing a lot of great things. Yeah. Can you hype us up? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Come on. Yeah. I agree with that. I feel like the more, like, you guys are like at that point, old school. Like, you're like the O.Gs of, you were interns at first. That's so cool. I want to go destroy shit now. I know.
Starting point is 00:36:35 There's got to be something in New York, I'm sure. I'm sure there is. I remember they did that as a date on Becca Cufferin season with Blake, Horseman. Oh, they did. And little John was DJing. Oh, my God. Turned out of what? And they were like smashing.
Starting point is 00:36:48 It was incredible. Well, you really want to do it and have it, like, be filmed, too, because they people put in slow motion and it looks awesome yeah yeah that's what they did yeah it was incredible yeah maybe we could do that here just start smashing shit in the hotel room it's very rock and roll yeah yeah they're like caitland bristow turned down for wood yeah yeah way harder than we thought you know i have like so many like i go into debt from just like having to like repair everything that's broken like well that wasn't worth it no um that's funny i don't know if this is like old news by now, but I've not a, I don't watch Vanderpump, but you guys had Raquel on the day that
Starting point is 00:37:27 everything was like about to go down and you didn't know it yet. Caitlin, we, she and Sheena, Raquel and Sheena came in for an interview on, it was a Wednesday. And the new, the show was on like Wednesday nights, but so they come in Wednesday. We are just talking about the new season. We're chatting up and she is, she can like a leaf. Like she is Like we felt bad Because she left
Starting point is 00:37:55 And Rhia and I Loat to each other And we were like Like did we say some role Like we were like The drama must be so much Because at the point It was rumors that she was
Starting point is 00:38:03 Trying to hold up with Tom Schwartz And he was Married to Katie And so it was like Oh this is all Really stressful for her Clearly like this drama is a lot She's nervous talking about it
Starting point is 00:38:15 And she was kind of fumbling over her words And like didn't really You could tell that she was really thinking before she was speaking. You know when you ask somebody a question on a podcast and they're like, yeah. She's like, how do I do this now that news is about to break?
Starting point is 00:38:33 And so that's Wednesday. They leave. She, we were like, oh, she was sweet. And we recorded the episode for Friday on Thursday. And we were like,
Starting point is 00:38:45 guys, we have Raquel and Sheena. I know they're getting a lot of shit right now because of the drama with Tom shorts. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Like, I really think that they're just nervous about what's going on. It's a lot going on. And we recorded that on Thursday. Friday, our episode comes out. And then the news comes out that she was having this seven-month affair with Tom Sandoval. And that Wednesday night, when they were in New York, Raquel and Sheena went and did Watch What Happens Live. And when they finished, they went to a bar and
Starting point is 00:39:17 And she punched her in the face. Sheena found out about the affair and they got into some kind of physical altercation. And so we're like, oh my God, they were just here. They were like holding hands besties. Like Sheena, they were both like, we're so happy we have each other. Like, I have her back. Like, and Raquel is, she had this one, she had this woman
Starting point is 00:39:37 which was like, I'm so thankful to have, you know, friends like Sheena and Ariana. And we're like, we went back and listened to her. I was like, oh, my God. Like, what? oh my it was insane we're like oh man i can't believe she literally like named her as a good friend and they and then hours later they got into a physical altercation at a bar in new york when does that reunion come out my guess would be like six weeks to two months i it's so funny like that's that i was talking about this with savannah chrissly where i'm like the bachelor needs to do more
Starting point is 00:40:11 of like crazy drama have everybody talking about it like blow shit up because they're known for me like a dramatic show, but they need a little, I know, fresh something, something. And I feel like Love Island kind of changed a lot of it because you see shows, clearly some people
Starting point is 00:40:31 can do the turnaround where the show is out fast. That's a good point. So it's like when you're waiting months and months and months, things start to like slow down. So with Bravo, that's how we feel too. Ria was like live streamed the reunion just right now. Like you know how many people would
Starting point is 00:40:47 watch. No one wants to watch. So many. No one wants to watch four parts in two months. Like we want to know. Everyone's so greedy for it right now. Yeah. And so like Love Island, you know, it's happening in real time. The Bachelor, you're waiting months. Even like, did you watch that show on Netflix, the perfect
Starting point is 00:41:03 perfect match? No, but Alicia. Yeah. There's all this drama with it afterwards, but all the drama was because they filmed a show like a year ago. I know. It was like everyone's a new relationship, sort of things broke off. And the contestants are having to talk about this show and they're like well you know this was literally a year ago in
Starting point is 00:41:21 my life like you know how much changes for somebody that's like an influencer on in a year like same thing with like zach and the whole gabby thing like that had been three and a half months or something since it happened which is actually quite a bit of time it is the guy didn't really seem over it she did not seem over it at all she did not seem over it which made me sad so it made me really sad but she did however seem like a queen she did and katie only had like amazing things to say about Gabby, too. They're all, like, really good friends, which is crazy. I'm like, props to you. That's how me, Whitney and Becca Tilly were. That three of us were like, could not be more supportive of one another through like everything. It was actually really fun.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Okay. One of the last things I want to talk to you about was I, you and Rio were always very open about not loving Tyra Banks as the host on Dancing with the Stars. So I was like, how did you feel when they... Let me tell you is, I got tagged in the news. so many times, like, I thought somebody died. Like, I thought that there was, like, something was, it was crazy. My DMs, I was cracking up girls being like, we did it. Yeah, yeah, we did it. You were like, you complain so many times in your show.
Starting point is 00:42:36 I mean, a lot of people complain. Yeah, look, Tyra is a legend. She really is. She is one of, like, the coolest chicks. She's been on our show. we like she's awesome yeah she really is i loved her and not as a host as the host of dance with the stars it just did not work and like she is such a boss that she can do so many other things yeah and it's just like it wasn't the right fit it just was not the right fit and julian hub is i get
Starting point is 00:43:04 that makes sense i was like i think that they wanted to try something different and then they're like okay we we maybe have to go back to our roots like the dance with the stars fans at this point in my mind Dancing with the Stars isn't exactly getting a lot of new fans if that makes sense
Starting point is 00:43:22 I think they wanted to that's why they switched to Disney Plus because they're like we'll get this younger crowd like Charlie DiMilio on you think but it's like
Starting point is 00:43:29 they'll watch when Charlie's on but they're not going to keep watching for seasons to come after so it's like there are very loyal fans have been watching for years
Starting point is 00:43:37 and they were very dedicated to like Tom and Aaron and they loved us so it was like when they made the switch it was a change Alfonso I think is great but now they like it's like you go back to julian it it's a comfort zone everyone's like this is
Starting point is 00:43:51 she's she's within the family and america craves their comfort food yeah yeah yeah love that and that's what dances with the stars are supposed to be it's not supposed to be this edgy new show like it's just it's true it's like that feel good like it's a feel good show and that's it's like my dream to host it but obviously i didn't think they were going to call me up first to be like hey caleb you're gonna that was like my dream when I heard that was my dream my dream was to literally be I wanted to be Aaron Andrews oh yeah where I was oh on the sidelines sidelines but also hosting dance with stars I know like that's like I was like that is my dream duo I could never I could never wanted to dance with the stars and be like the NFL sideline report I would be like two things I'd be like
Starting point is 00:44:33 so how about that football like I don't know anything about football it's so bad I'm starting to learn a little bit but I'm so bad um you got to be learning something Jason loves me he has taught me actually a lot. But Julia and Huff was definitely the right choice. It's big time, right choice. Literally, that was the only person I could think of that they should have gone with. And when they announced it, I was like, yeah, that, that checks out. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Also, I was a little scared to have you on the podcast today so close to April 1st. Oh, my God. I was like, I even said to Jason the other day, I was like, I was like, Jason, please know April Fool's is here. I won't do it to you like, truth. Yeah, yeah. the truce, white flag, I was like, uh, and so when I was having you on the pod, because I was like, hey, no, this can't be the, it's not April 1st, so you can't do anything. Did you also, imagine if it were like, Ria not being here with some big bruce?
Starting point is 00:45:26 She literally missed the interview with Zach, so it'd be part of this. Jason was like, all right, guys. So Ria, you got a fake, sick. Sorry you got a big interview. You just got a miss it. Yeah, I was honestly a little scared. And I'm like, no, it doesn't count. You can't do anything prank-wise.
Starting point is 00:45:42 on, if it's not April 1st. No, no, no. You can't be preemptive. But I have something for you. Oh, boy. It's not a prank. Oh, okay, okay. I was like, oh, oh, everybody.
Starting point is 00:45:52 I was like, people are getting closer now. What's happening? You're like, what am I doing? It's just, it's just a little merch for you to change into. It's, it's, okay. So, because you're my first, we got you this. Oh, my gosh. You get 20 glow sticks.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Oh, I get all. All those six. Yep. Okay, thank you. And then you get sweaters for you and Rhea. Amazing. Oh, she gets a... Oh, she gets one, too.
Starting point is 00:46:17 I'll make sure she gets it. And you have to wear it while you podcast on chicks in the office. I'm just kidding. I, um, people joke that I, like, live in merch, always, whether it's my own merch or, like, like, music merged all my stuff. That's true. You do. I wear a lot of merch.
Starting point is 00:46:36 You do wear a lot of merch. So I will... Yes. I'll sport it for sure. Okay. And that's just me actually. For all these glowsings. You know what?
Starting point is 00:46:44 You never know when you need a good glow stick. Rave. And I just figured you need 20. Yes. Amazing. If only it was dark in here, are we just like, might have we just podcast the dark.
Starting point is 00:46:56 If you want to come over later. We'll have a rave. Perfect. Rapid fire game before you go. It's called which chick. Okay. So you've obviously had the chance to meet a lot of incredible women. But I want to know which celebrity or non-celeb chick comes to mind with the following
Starting point is 00:47:11 situations. Okay. Who would you want to recruit as your new best friend? Ariel. Fair. I keep talking about it. I'm like, she lives in New York. I'm like, and we're like the same age.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I'm like, please be my friends. She will be. You guys will be friends, for sure. Okay. Who would you want to add to you and Ria's chicks in the office podcast? Oh, I think, I mean, Trent is not a chick, but he is kind of like our third seat. That's fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:40 That's fair. Kelly is great as well. but Trent, like, is a pretty good staple as, like, our third seat. Which chick would you want to invite on the podcast next? I want, I really want, this is like, you know the girl from White Lotus, Haley-Ritchardson. Yeah, I'm obsessed with her. Yeah, I want her. She's also a Massive Jones Brothers fan.
Starting point is 00:48:01 She was just in their new music video. She was in their music video? Yeah, they, yeah, they put her in their music video. Wow, that's cool. And so I want to talk to her. I would love to have her on you. Okay. And then which chick would you want to trade places with for a day?
Starting point is 00:48:19 Trade places. I want to go with like somebody massive. You said like Taylor Swift. Okay, I was going to say Taylor Swift. Yeah. I was going to say Taylor's tour seems like a lot of work. Yeah, that's, I'm exhausted. Pretty awesome.
Starting point is 00:48:36 But I was thinking of. I don't know how I'm going to perform at three hours, but maybe on a day off for Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift on a day off. Why am I blanking on the girl who I'm obsessed with who is in White Lotus, the main character? Jennifer Coolidge. Jennifer Coolidge. I would want to know if that's really... I would want to hang out with her.
Starting point is 00:48:54 Like, I feel like there's a difference between you want to hang out with somebody for a day or be that person for a day. That's very fair. I would want to hang out with Jennifer Coolidge. Do you think that's really who she is? I think so, yeah. I love that so much. I've only heard from... I've only heard that that is how she is.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Yeah. That's kind of hilarious. Yeah. Okay, last one. Which chick would you want to see get canceled? I'm trying to think of somebody that's been causing issues. There hasn't been too much. There really hasn't.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Who would I want to see get canceled? I don't want to say Haley Beaver because I feel like she's got a lot right now and she already is. So it's like who is, you know. That's true. She is having a tough goal. Exactly, so it's, but I feel like she's the only one that's really been, where everyone's like, we hate her. She is having a tough go. 100%, but I don't, who's been, who's been an issue?
Starting point is 00:49:53 From a pure jealousy standpoint, I guess I could pick Emily Radikowski just for making out with Harry Styles. Yeah, fair. Just like, she doesn't, she doesn't deserve it because she gets, I mean, like, she doesn't deserve me canceling her, is what I'm saying. She certainly deserves all the makeouts. I know. She's so hard. It's annoying. that's from a purely jealous standpoint of boy do I wish I could be making out with Harry Salas in the streets of Tokyo
Starting point is 00:50:17 me too me too sorry Jason but me too yeah I mean yeah um yeah okay that's an exception you know yeah that's the hall pass you know how it goes okay that's I can't think of anyone either so out of jealousy we'll just out of jealousy out of pure jealousy we'll go with her because why does she get to do it so fair and I just want to ask like what does he taste like what do you think he tastes like watermelon sugar no that's probably accurate i feel like i don't know kiwi he's got a lot of songs named after i feel like he smells musky but tastes fruity that's a really good question what does he taste like or what you smell i always people you know i always kind of forget about that but some people really do smell good ria's really been working on like perfecting her scent right now
Starting point is 00:51:00 oh what is it um i can not say it's a secret like it's like she's yeah it actually is oh my gosh that she's been like it's she's been working on until she finally gets it right then maybe she'll share it but also maybe not because she doesn't want anybody to smell like her. She should come with her own perfume line. That's a, yeah, she probably should. That's a good idea. But some people just like are known to smell good, which is such a great reputation. That really is. Like Rihanna's just known to smell good. Really? Yes. Thank you so much for being my first YouTube guest. I'm honored. I'm honored. She's honored and I'm honored and I'm excited to find out if I love it too. But I heard people
