You smell the hotel. I'm like, I'm so exhausted. And we finally got to the hotel after... I'm so tired. Hours of travel for Caitlin, which I can't believe you did it. We're going to tell you guys all about it when we podcasts later. But, Caitlin, we have a Res. 530.

The question is, do we go or do we sleep? We go because I am... Like, I could fall asleep sitting up right now. but the fact that we well everyone will hear it soon the fact that we did what we did there's no turning back now well we turn back once but there's no turning back again

and we only turn back once yeah and we ain't gonna do it again okay fair so we have to go to dinner and Cleo and I both had this brilliant plan and we're like let's just do a voice note while we're here in the moment raw angry Cleo doesn't get angry

That was a good one. Two, first of all, an incredible, incredible, incredible trip. Mm-hmm. it turned around for sure you know what we spin zoned that shit we turned a negative into a positive and we said you know what we aren't going to let an extra 12 hours of flying get in our way of fun oh that's generous maybe 20 hours well i guess that's true 20 hours of travel yeah not in the air but 20 extra hours of travel a lost day in hawaii where we both could have said you know what let's just go home but we said we've got a plan so we wanted to tell it

on Instagram. They're like, wait, we're doing a podcast anyways in Hawaii. Let's tell everyone the real full story on the podcast because a 10-second Instagram story ain't going to do it justice. You know, we got to tell the story here for the Vino's. This is where you hear it first. And it's a Hawaii. It's actually not exciting, but. By this point, we're like so over. We're like, is this even interesting anymore? Do people even care? But it's like a windy, rainy day in Hawaii, which is crazy in Maui. And we're like, you know what? This is a good way to And the trip, we'll do a nice podcast, a little recap with the trip from our hotel room looking out saying Aloha and what was the thing? Damn it.

I forget where our tour guide said. But I don't want to say it wrong, because he taught us. And he was very passionate our helicopter ride pilot about how to pronounce things. So I never want to say it wrong because I don't mean so much. But it was basically saying, like, until we meet again. that's what we're saying on this podcast and we will be back today I think on the podcast I think we should tell obviously what happened yeah but also this incredible trip recommendations let me tell you everyone is it's full force back travel tourism everyone is out and you can

feel the energy people are so excited to be out yeah and to be traveling we made some friends we really did we did make some friends yes last night we had the nice dinner Cleo tried to put a bet against me on a card game and say I had to buy guys drinks and there was these four guys who were probably like 22 at the table the other day and she's like, you got to do it. I'm like, what am I supposed to say? Hey, this is from the lady over there

with the big rock on her finger. Awkward! So I didn't. But, which is so unfair because you did lose a bet and you went through the. Yeah. So actually, let's talk about the card game first. That's where I'm going to start. Okay. Because I'm a little bit bitter.

Oh. I'm a little bit mad. Oh. Let's go. Let's be honest here. Okay. Why are we mad? Let's talk to it.

Because I clearly am a better golf card player than you are. That is... And yet... Tough but fair. Yet I lost one out of the three games. And it was really fun to be in Maui for International Rose Day. Yes. We brought, of course, had to bring our own wine.

Yes. I didn't drink in the hotel delicious French rosé. I'm bringing spade and sparrows to the party. Like, it would be so wrong to be in Hawaii and not be drinking our own wine. Look, I'm not a rookie to the business game, okay? I know that on National Rose Day, even if I'm going to be in Hawaii, I'm drinking my own wine. Imagine they had also lost her luggage and we had no spade and sparrows. That would be horrific.

I wouldn't have put it past that airline. But this is what pisses me off about this whole thing. Whoa, Cleo never gets mad. She is teed right off, everybody. This is why I'm mad, because it's my idea, too. Her finger is waving in the air right now, by the way. It is. It's waving.

It's waving. Because I got, I definitely got a little overconfident. I had won the first game. I was doing really good. We're kind of idiots because we always place what the bet is, like round three or four. So in the round of golf, you either do nine more. You're the idiot for that because you always win and you could have put so many bets past me. But okay.

That's actually very true. but then we yeah we're around around three or four yeah and we're like wait we didn't place a bet for this so the loser and I was winning at this time I'm like it's international rosé day I got the best idea so the loser will have to take a bottle of spade and sparrows and just pour it all over themselves which jokes on you because I think I would have enjoyed that I did not enjoy it I obviously lost if you haven't guessed and I poured it over my head and as soon as this is done to My eyes were singing. I couldn't open them.

Caitlin's like, look at the video. It's hilarious. I'm like, I can't see anything for like five minutes. We didn't think that one through because one, we lost a bottle of rosé. I definitely had quite a few chugs well. Okay, good. So I feel a little. Yeah, definitely had some.

So really I ended up losing in the end because I didn't get any rosé. You got a few chugs out of it. And so actually, I'm not pissed at all. I knew it. Cleo is the most positive patty on the planet, and I knew you'd find a way to turn that around and say, oh, you're right, I'm not an idiot. That was actually, I was so smart.

You know what? I don't want to talk about it. But losing a bottle of spade and sparrows on the trip was sad, but at the same time to see you dump a bottle of rosé over your head awkwardly turned into sexy. Oh, I don't think it's turned into sexy. So, Caitlin's like, now do sexy. And all I could think of is, wow, this is so cold.

And then I'm like, it was not sexy at all well everybody if you haven't seen the real on my instagram page go go go don't do it it's too late now you missed it clio was doing hot girl summer dumping rosé on her head and cleo is like you're so cute and you like you don't even realize that you're hot sometimes you're like so cute and sweet and like innocent so that when you do something sexy like i was like hot girl summer and you started doing this tongue thing and start bending my and start bending my knees up and down. I'm like, is that what I think sexy is? Yeah. Well, I encourage everybody to go check out that reel because I loved it. I loved it. Anyhow. All right. Well, I want to know

what people did for an international Rose Day. Is that really a thing? Like, when it's national, what's the, okay, I know the difference between national and international, but why is it international Rose Day? And there's like a National Rose Day, why can't I say Rose Day? And if anyone hasn't guessed it we did have a few cocktails at lunch just a couple we shared a little sake sake how do you say it

sake I don't know suck it to me sake sake I say I say sake I say sake and it was delicious and we had that and then we saw the girls table next us they had donuts and martinis and we're like well we want donuts and martinis

we already paid yeah so we got donuts and martini And then so we played another game and I also won. Okay. All right. But let's go back to the card story because I lost a bet and a bet is bet and I. You did it. I did it. You came through.

You lost a bet. And I didn't do it. I was like, I ain't buying 22 year old boys drinks at a resort. Well, the funniest part too is I'm like, Cleo, there's not going to be a table of boys here like boys. guys dudes whatever dudes this is like a resort full of families and couples and honeymooners and then we walked down to the lounge and just the one time I happened to owe a bet there's four dids sitting at the table and I was like I can't do it she chickened out everyone she chickened out and that is so not like me but I was like I can't all she did was by one drink to

one guy they were vaping drinking water and paying their bill. I was not going to be the loser that was like, and here's a drink on me. They're like, no thanks. Also, we were wondering, we're like, okay, there's four young guys in Maui. They're vaping. Like, what's their story? Like, are they? I think they were locals who came there for lunch. Oh, okay. Maybe. Yeah, because it's crazy. Like, you only see couples, honeymooners, families. Yeah.

Like, you really don't go to Maui if you're a single other than us. By the way, this hotel is everything. We've stayed here twice now. And there's, there's a reason for that. And I'm not, I'm not sure if I'll stay anywhere else when we go to Maui. Like, of course, I want to explore all the other islands, which I already have, but like I want to again and I want to bring Jason to Hawaii. But this hotel. And now I always, again, with the pronunciation, is it Andaz. I like the first. I think it's on does. Yeah, I think so too. It's Maui. It's incredible. The service is top notch. And we'll talk about this with the book. Just everything they've done, the location, the service. the views, the layered pools, everything about this hotel, I cannot say enough good things. No. The food. Oh, the food was incredible.

Other than last time we came here, we kept talking about this assaibal. And we're like, we're going to go back. And every time we're like, okay, we're going there. We're 10 hours away from the assayable. And then they got rid of it. I was like literally the only disappointment. But this hotel is like, I think it's my favorite hotel ever. I think they'll bring it back.

I think they're just doing buffet style right now during COVID. Oh, really? Wait, that doesn't make sense. Are they really, Caitlin? It's COVID. Let's do buffet where everyone touches the food. That doesn't make any sense. I think you're right.

I was just, I was trying to give us hope for an accent with the assaibal. But anyways, we'll be back. Okay, if anyone that works and on does is listening to this, please bring back the assai bowl because other than that, it will be. perfection all around. Well, here's a segue for you. I love one I'm like to make you laugh when you're drinking. All the time.

I almost spat my drink in your face again. That's what I do. I just spit my drinks in Caitlin's face. But, okay, if anyone's listening in from the Andas, this is what we're saying. There is someone because this leads us into the story about the traveling. book let's oh yeah so i'm always assuming that people who listen to the podcast follow me on instagram but sometimes you might have missed something so on my stories i was saying in our crazy travels which we're about to get to i lost a hat i know i'm like i'm like what do we work

for a radio station like teasing it and coming up next there's also so much too many things to say i'm like where many start too many and so we were like okay i lost my head and so we were like okay i lost Cat. I lost my book. I lost. She lost everything. 24 hours of my life to this travel vacation. But anyways, I was so upset that I lost this book because the book is called Verity. And I've been looking forward to this book because I've read so many other books by Colleen Hoover. This ends with it ends with us. She sent me like six books. Verity was one of them. And everyone that has read that book is like, Caitlin, your life is going to do. change when you read this. So I was so excited. We got here. I was like, no, I lost the book in our travels. And I was like, you know what? Instagram would be a fun way. If anyone's in Maui, you have the book. Drop it off. We'll do a trade. I'll give you wine and scrunchies. You leave the book for me. And I'll sign the book. You start it. Sign it. I'll sign it. Say, you know what? Next person who reads this, enjoy. And we'll make it the sisterhood of the traveling Verity book.

and within five minutes somebody wrote me and she Ashley bless your soul wait we should promote her gym she sent us a couple what is it powerhouse gym I'm assuming it's in Maui because I think she lives here Ashley she brought us Hawaiian treats a hat the book and we brought her scrunchies and wine and I wrote her a little note and she signed the book now Cleo and I have been reading it it's incredible so far and now as soon as I'm done I'm going to sign it and so send it off to the next person. We'll do a whole thing with that on Instagram and we'll figure out who we're going to send it to next. But it's only going to go directly to a vino. Has to. 100%. But anyway, so Ashley dropped it off at the hotel and then somebody at the Andas who is a vino, I think, also went and got me the book. So now Cleo and I both have our own copy. Which is so nice. But that was crazy. We walk inside and there's a book waiting for you on the bed. Because we were trying to find it in the island. And it was. Yeah. I couldn't find it. No. I couldn't find it. It was going to be a tough go there. And you were very disappointed. So now Verity and I love it. I'm chapter four and I fell asleep on chapter three. I made Cleo read out loud to me by the beach. And I was like reading it out loud. And I'm like, she had like a hat on top of her head. And I'm like, she's still awake. I'm still reading away. I'm still reading away. I'm like, Caitlin. Out loud by the way. Sorry. I'm reading it out loud to her. And she's sleeping. Well, because I brought my book.

out in the sun and it melted the glued pages and all of a sudden pages were falling out of my Verity book and I'm like, not today's Satan. Okay. Maybe you're not meant to read that. No, I am meant to read this book. It's going to make it all that much better, which is that is good service right there. It's incredible. But right there, that point of looking at things that bad that happened and saying, but this is going to make me enjoy it that much more. The book, the melting pages, everything that's going on. I'm going to enjoy that book even more the same way I. I have enjoyed this vacation because of what happened to us. We appreciated every second.

I did not take. I have to say we really did. We were up at 6 a.m. every morning. I don't care if that was the 5-hour time change. And that's 11 a.m. my time. I don't care. I was up and I was appreciating every second of this vacation. That's what I love about Hawaii because so we're right now three hours minus PST.

So 5 hours minus national time. P.T. Or P.T. What's PST? Oh, it's the same thing. Pacific standard. time? Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay. I thought you were going to say PTSD. Oh, no, I'm not that stupid.

I may be drunk, but ain't that stupid. Fair. Fair. Fair. But, Caitlin, this is by far the trip that you've been up, like, the earliest. Ever. So nice. We got so much in. We did breath work. We did workouts. What was that, Wim Hof? Yep. Breathwork. Yes. I got dizzy. I realized my lung capacity is shit like Caitlin you got to work on this we did what was it we did 30 30 deep breath in and then exhale yeah and then hold it in and then i could do for by the way 20 seconds and i started to have a panic attack and cleo can hold her breath for like three minutes well well no well actually three and a half no i'm like i'm at a minute 50 two minutes right now that's crazy I literally start to panic.

I hold my breath. And this is what I've said before when people are like, oh, you have anxiety? Like, focus on your breath. I'm like, no, that makes me panic more because I go, and I go, what if I get breathe ever again? And that's me. Every time Caitlin has anxiety, I'm like, breathe, focus on my life. I'm like, I can't. Ooh, I like when she gets spicy.

I can't. I get more anxiety. I'm like, oh, right. So now I've learned, no, do not. Except we did like that breath work. But I will say. I will encourage you and recommend you try. it to do it every morning just do it for it literally takes you less than 15 minutes but it makes me

lightheaded good that'll get better yeah it will get better yeah yeah said that was a state of meditation yes and i was like really i think i'm just lightheaded from breathing too much and then your fingers get tingly oh sounds yeah terrible no i'm gonna call you every morning heyland did you do your breathwork should have done our breath work when we got to hawaii and we were turned away let's tell the story it's just gonna say it i feel like it's time it's that time where you know what this can be considered a confession. Because I don't know if this is the airline's fault or ours, but we need to take some sort of responsibility, a little part.

Yeah. But it is also the airline, and I don't want to call out my favorite airline, so I'm not going to say their name, but everyone knows what I'm talking about. Because every other airline out there has made sure they will double, triple check. Do you know that you have to have the specific negative COVID? test to come into Hawaii. You are not stepping on this flight until you have that test. And then we're going to give you a wristband to ensure that the people when you land in Hawaii know that you have that negative test. Well, I was like going fully vaccinated. So let's travel anywhere. I'm good to

go. It's in the States. We're in Hawaii. It's going to be fine. In the last month, we've both been traveling almost on a weekly basis. So we're kind of, you know, we're just going about. We have someone else book all of our stuff and nobody means like you know we weren't thinking about it we're just like okay what's going on next like we've just had a busy month yeah yeah that I like it we deserve it

that's the motto of our trip we deserve it we deserve it we deserve everything because we had to wait extra but I mean should we have went to travel hawaii dot org whatever it is yes should we have triple double quadruple checked yes but

when things open back up you're full vaccinated you've traveled other places within the airline doesn't tell you that you need all these things with all the other airlines were you assume you're fine yeah and so we landed in hawaii and not only did i get off the plane and almost get emotional because of the smell i literally sang out loud i am moana and i was so excited because i watched moana like i always do when i pack my bags to come here true story and we get there and we get in the little line up and they're like oh okay do you have the QR code and we're like oh what what's that no and so I was like no I filled out the form on the plane and she was like you need a QR code

and she's like oh come this way I was like okay so we step aside and I'm still in a good mood because I'm like but it doesn't matter we're in Hawaii and we fill out all these forms and then she goes at that point we were the most concerned that people were getting in front of us we're like oh no we're getting towards the back of the lineup it's going to take 20 extra minutes to get into Hawaii little did we know that so we go to fill out all this stuff and they're like all right and last which should have been first we just need to see your negative COVID test and I was like oh don't need that because I like flash my double vaccinated card like I'm some sort of VIP and I was like don't need that double that's bitches and she was like yeah um is there your second vaccination in Hawaii because it only if you're double or your second vaccination is in a state of

Hawaii can you enter and I was like well that's stupid why would I get my second dose in Hawaii and she's like she's like you don't have a negative COVID test no I'm sorry we can't let you in what well we said we'd laugh about it later now's your time I don't think it's that funny but it was tragic Cleo started crying which I never do both of our body heat temperature went up like 80 degrees

because we were having anxiety and like we're so upset and we're like there's got to be a way around because if anyone can get why are you laughing this hard Cleo and I think we have horseshoes up our ass, so we're like, who, yeah, okay, who do we talk to? Like, slide us in. It's a bouncer that wants to let us in. Like, we'll smooth talk anyone. And she's like, no, you literally can't go anywhere.

And she goes, if you want, you can quarantine for the five days of your trip in a hotel, but you can't leave the hotel room. And I was like, and why the fuck when do we do that? And then so Cleo and I look at each other and we're like, I guess we're going home. And then I went, or should we red eye back to L.A.? Take a COVID test at L.A.X and get on the next flight back to Hawaii and enjoy for at least four days. And Clio was like, I'm down. And so we again, turn a negative into a positive. We hit the closest airport lounge after we checked back in. We waited four and a half hours. Was it four? Four and a half? Six. We waited six hours in the six hours in the last. We waited six hours in the,

the Maui airport. But you're also not telling people that you went from Nashville to, so you woke up at 5 a.m. Then, but let's put in to con. Oh, you woke up at 4 a.m. I left for the airport at 5.30. My flight was at 710. Then you flew to L.A., which took four and a half hours. And then your layover was two hour layover.

Then that's what I met up with you. Almost missed the flight. I missed the flight because, oh, also P.S., big, big disclaimer right here. one traveling, you give yourself a minimum of two hours because airports are out of control right now. Insane. Yeah. And then took another five and a half hours. So you were in deep, like this has been a full week of travel already.

And then you have to wait six hours to get on a 10 p.m. flight, which when you add your five hours of Nashville time, it would be, so 10 p.m. would be 3 a.m. when you're getting onto the next flight. Yes. Then, is this, where are we now in the story? Are we back in L.A.? Oh, no, no, no. And then we go with the lounge. Okay, so the lounge. Okay, so then we went to the lounge in the Maui Airport. We drank two martinis and a glass of wine. Yeah.

And then we went on a red eye. We slept on the plane. I was in and out. I was jilly. That's where you lost Verity in your hat. That's when I lost Verity in my hat, rub it in, salt in the wound, and got off the plane. And it was 5.15 a.m. We had to sit in the airport until the COVID test center opened at seven. So at seven, we walked over, which took us a 20-minute walk to get to Terminal 6. That's being generous.

That's being generous. We filled out forms. We waited and aligned again for 45 minutes to get our nostrils violated. Correct. Then walked all the way back to our other terminal, had to wait in a lounge for four hours we were idiots four hours we waited in the delta lounge and we were really Jason was like you are you guys are handling it like champs because I was sitting in that lounge being like oh you know we're in the delta lounge and we're going to hawaii and i'm usually not

that positive but cleo brings out that weird side of me and so we sat in the lounge for four hours boarded our flight came back to hawaii over five and a half hours and then something crazy happened on the plane. Well, more embarrassing. I mean, this is the confession. Is everybody just on the edge of their seat right now or what? What happened on that last flight? No, what?

To Caitlin Bristow. No, I will say, I was so impressed. You were during that time thinking about it, it could have been hell, but we actually had so much fun. You were super positive. You were the one. I'm like, oh, my, there's no way Caitlin's going to want to go to L.A. and come back because you had just flown from Nashville.

Like, that's a big track and to do all that. And you're like, let's just get our COVID test. And yeah, you were, you were on board and such a champ. Well, it were. Thank you so much, Alexa. I owe you everything. So, but we also said this happened for a reason. And I do believe that.

I do too. And Cleo still to the stay, believes that something bad would have happened to us if we stayed here because we do believe everything happens for a reason. So, fast forward to on this last five and a half hour flight until we're magically in Hawaii. And I'm like, Cleo, I'm sorry. Like, I'm going to first class. And you can see wherever your little hard desires, but I need to enjoy this flight. And Cleo's not a diva. And I'm not trying to brag. This has to do with my story. So I go to sit in my seat. and you know people who fly business are regular flyers they're usually like diamond medallion members

or people who fly all the time or people who have money i am the person that just flies so much i will only fly with this one airline to collect all my points just so i get first class like i'll take three layovers when i could have got there in one shot just to get the points i've always thought you're crazy for that nope i live for my first class and so i sat down and the guy was was sitting next to me and I go oh shit I lost my book I'm like no and then I messaged Cleo I was like do my book and she was like no and I was like okay maybe it's in my podcasting stuff above like where I put it in the overhead bin so I looked at the guy next to me and I said I didn't tell you this part Cleo I was like hey can I just scoot out I just need to look in this bag I

think I lost my book he was like sure and he went to get up and I was like no I can crawl over you so I go to like crawl over him knock his coffee off of the middle little console area spill coffee all over his gray sweatpants shorts and I didn't notice so I'm looking at my bag

and then I go to sit back down and he's standing there just looking at me like you bitch and he's standing there was soaking shorts in his coffee and his coffee was upside down on his chair and I was like I was like did I do that and he was like yeah I didn't realize it was for the book it was for the book that book the book better be the best book you've ever rarely it is and it was all

for the book and I just looked at him I was like I am I was like you don't even understand my travel situation here and the fact that I just spilled coffee on you makes complete sense to me at this point in my journey. And so I used my beautiful cream-colored scarf, which is a.k.a. my travel blankie. It's like I travel with it all the time. I just used one of the wet naps, wiped it up. I dried

it with my scarf. He was like wiping his butt and like all his shorts with these napkins. And I was like, I am such a dick. And so we sat down and I told him the story. I was like, look, I came from Nashville to L.A. to

Maui. Back to L.A. I'm on this plate. This is like my 40th hour of traveling. I cannot believe I just spilled coffee. And you like, let me buy you new shorts when I get there. And he was like, it's all good. He goes, I really love the smell of coffee. And I was like, well, thank God. Because me too. And like, I hope it tries. And luckily it was more on the seat. He jumped up immediately, which again, I was not noticing. I was very focused on my book. Which was not there. And so I sat back down. I'm telling him all the stuff. And he was like, Oh, Nashville, like, love Nashville. I would love to move there one day, blah, blah, blah. And then I was like, yeah, it's a great city. And he's like, what are you going to Maui for? And I was like, oh, I'm just, you know, vacation with my business partner.

Oh, what do you do? Oh, I have a podcast. What do you do? Oh, I'm an actor. Of course, we are. We're on a flight from L.A. Like, everyone's an actor. Everyone's an actor.

And so I was like, uh-huh. And anyways, he was telling me about the movie. He's going to film. And then he's like, do you want my book? I know you were looking for yours. You can borrow my book. It was definitely not up my alley, but, like, looks like a good book. Also, can we talk about how sweet that is?

It was really sweet because my TV wasn't working on the flight. Of course. I mean, at that point, why would my TV work? And then I made a joke to him. I said, have you ever heard of who, by the way, now I think he's canceled because he says really inappropriate things. But Louis CK. And he was making fun of somebody on a plane once because. that he's a comedian and he goes yeah the guy next to me his internet wasn't working and I was like

oh I'm sorry sir what happened next did you just sit back in your chair and experience the miracle of flight like you're in a plane you're just riding sitting in a chair riding through the air like are you really complaining that you know Wi-Fi and so I made that joke and I said I mean Louis de K said it like what am I going to do sit back and enjoy the miracle flight and he was like I love that I love that you know that line and that was we're laughing. whatever yeah back to you okay and he's like here you can have my book and then he waved down the flight attendant and he goes her TV isn't working could you reset it and I'm like I just spilled coffee all over this guy and like I was such a mess I was like hadn't brushed my teeth in

days true I hadn't brushed my hair I had stains on my hoodie for my spray tan leakin I had a hole in my pants he's probably like look who is this idiot and he was so nice and then by the end of it you know I fell asleep and we didn't talk and whatever, but we're coming off the plane. Everyone's like, what is the point, Caitlin? This is the point. This is crazy. So we land and we got our bags and Cleo and I are dancing. We're dancing.

We did it. We got here. Yay. It smells amazing. And he came up and I was like, what was your name by the way? He goes, Shane. And he walks away. And I was like, oh my God, Shane, we made it.

And he was like, he gave us a pound. Yeah, he gave us a pound. He said, yeah, you did. He goes, finally. Like, I'm so glad you guys are here. Walks away. and clear was like Shane and I was like yeah who did and she was like

have you ever seen a walk to remember I had no idea it was Shane West who was on Boile Me's World a walk to remember I'm sure he's probably like Devin Sawwell where Devin's like please give me credit for other things I've done other than Frikan casper but like everyone knows it from a walk to remember that's all you need to do is

walk to remember that was yeah that was incredible changed my life he was the guy who brought Mandy Moore I can't remember her name in the movie. I was the real life Mandy Moore in my green little cardigan, spilling coffee on him. He would bring you in one spot, two places at once. He would. Obviously, he doesn't look.

How old is that movie? Well, it's funny because we saw him in the lineup. Yeah. And you're like, oh, my God, that guy was the guy who was sitting next to me and I spilled all over his shirt. Or sorry, his shorts. And I didn't recognize him then. No. And you're like, how old do you think he?

And I looked at him really briefly And I was like, I don't know, 20, 30 He said, no, he told me he was 42. And I was like, what? Yeah. Super nice guy. Yeah. Really like just, it was just so crazy because,

and we just shared so many stories. But anyways, it was just funny that after all that, I pour coffee on a walk to remember. Like, that's crazy. That would happen to you. Yeah. And I had dreams. Landon.

His name was Landon and a Walk to Remember. Oh, yeah. I had dreams. that I would meet someone like Landon who would just be the sweetest boyfriend and would go through my bucket list and just make sure that I would like be able to cross them all off. Like that is,

that movie was a classic, iconic. That was the word I'm looking for. But it was just so funny because it did feel like out of a movie. You know, like I spilled coffee on the guy next to me after a crazy flight. I'm all disheveled and he's sweet. And I had to break it to him that I was engaged. No, I'm just kidding.

Oh, like you didn't have. to break anything and he just looked at that little rock of yours and he's like okay i'm just kidding he was just actually such a gentleman and now i'm like well i can't wait to see what movie he's filming but it was funny because he didn't know anything about bachelor bachelor bachelor anything and i had no idea who he was until clio told me i love that and it was just a funny funny story but anyways my confession was that i dumped coffee on that guy that's a really good one do you think so yeah yeah i was like wait a second as he pounded us and I'm like wait what I would have never recognized him

I mean yeah he looks different well he's I mean who wouldn't wait that's like me I'm googling it right now when people are like Caitlin you look different well no shit Sherlock that's the same thing he was six years yeah except for him it's been like 15 since a walk to remember wait I'm gonna look okay so what year do you think it came out okay I think it came out in 2003

wow that's 2002 really so that's almost 20 years ago so you would have been well 16 I was yeah I would have been 16 20 years it was longer than half of what we've looked was he a heartthrob was he like would he have been on my wall with devon sawwall and jonathan taylor thomas no because I think he came right after them and I feel like by 16 we probably wouldn't didn't still have posters up on our wall I sure did until you were 25 I seriously didn't until I was 18. Really? Oh, is that embarrassing? Is that another confession? No.

Yeah. I'd like Calvin Klein models. Okay. Okay. Okay. Who was your heartthrob when you were 16? Because not everyone was born when we were.

Okay. Fair enough. Okay, so 14. 14. 15. For us, it was between Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Devin Sawa, Andrew Keegan. Leonard DiCaprio. That was during, while and when Titanic came out. Who else was there?

Oh, obviously the backstreet boys and NSYNC. Yeah. Were you BSB or NSB guy? BSV. Yeah, same seats. Nick Carter all the way. Yeah. And then it was crazy because a couple years ago we got to go to Vegas and we were singing

in these seats and they came, like one song they came in. like we could have touched Nick Carter. I'm like, if I had known that. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That was funny. That was crazy. And it was so funny. Another crazy story is that I was supposed to podcast with AJ. Something happened in Vegas where I couldn't podcast with them. And then we both ended up on dancing with the stars together, which another weird thing. Remember Ann? God, I can't believe I'm not going to. Oh, my God. We didn't even tell everyone the craziest part of the whole Shane West story. Oh, yeah. What? Wait, this is crazy. Really, really bizarre. Okay, you tell it. Wait, that is really weird.

So when we were at the airport, part of me had to remember if it was a dream or not. But when we were at the airport, I was going through Instagram and there was this post in the, like, the home section that said that Mandy Moore had said that they had, her and Shane West had had a little fling during the show, but like nothing really came out of it. Like they just had chemistry off screen and on. Exactly. And then so I look at Caitlin. I'm like, oh, it would be so hard to date an actor. And then she's like, oh, yeah, why? And I'm like, oh, because you remember, you remember a walk to remember.

We talked about Ross and Rachel and Shane West and Mandy Moore. But I didn't know his name. I knew Mandy Moore, but I didn't know his. Well, because I showed you just a picture. And I'm like, oh, the actors and I walked to remember. Like Mandy Moore said that they had had off-screen chemistry as well. I cannot remember. A, last time I even thought about a rock to remember.

Last time I talked about Shane West, probably been years. Since I saw a walk to remember. And I told you that that morning. And then that is weird. Literally three hours later, you're sitting next to him on a plane. The world is so weird. It's crazy. And I know we weren't in Hawaii yet, but every time we're in Hawaii, there's all these crazy things that happened.

And that's why when we were last time, when we heard last time, we're like, it's a sign. Yeah, it's a sign. There's so many signs. Okay. Is it Anne Hesch or Anne Hache? I think it's H. Oh, okay. I don't know.

Anyways, regardless, when Cleo and I were talking about movies to watch, if anyone's looking for a good movie, I was like, oh, this movie spread with Ashton Coucher is so good because we were talking about like women and how they're just like, it's their time and we're, you know, we can be successful and have kids later. And if you want to be a mom, you can. If you want to work, you can. If you want to travel, you can. Yes. And so this movie was Anne dating. a younger guy, but I had no I forgot it was Anne. And I was like,

clearly got to see this movie. It has Ashton Coucher and he's dating like an older woman who is rich and blah. And I went to look it up and I was like, oh my God. The lead actress is Anne who I was on Dancing with the Stars with. And again, hadn't talked

to Anne in so long. She messaged me in like five minutes. She was like, hey, you should read my book. And I was like, I was just talking about you. Like so many weird things happen like that when I'm in Hawaii. And I don't know if it's because I feel so aligned when I'm here, like, with myself in the universe. And I'm like, I'm where I'm supposed to be. And this place just brings out this, like, crazy side of me where I'm like, I don't know. It is crazy. Doing breathing exercises

and shit. And even so today, we did a helicopter ride. And, you know, you hear about, I feel like it's happened to us so many times when things like this happened where we're like, things seem aligned. Yeah. But today, when we did the helicopter ride, helicopter. Whoa, you put a helicopter. Right. And we're looking at this incredible, these mountains and waterfalls and first time. Sacred land and demigods. You feel it. I felt it. And Caitlin and I look at each other and we're having, we had tears and eyes. It was incredible. I felt moved by the land. Yes. I really did. Same. And we're both emotional. And I just, again, it was like, the sign. It was a sign. And yeah, it's, I, there's, everyone talks about how it's so magical and I, 1,000% get it. And I feel like doing that helicopter ride, we, I didn't get this last time, but you, you feel

so small and insignificant and you're like, oh my God, like, you were saying it. Like, we need to take care of a world. Yeah, I was like, it made me want, I try and recycle. It made me want to not try, like, recycle. Every single time. Protect everything. Appreciate whose land it was first. Like everything is so important.

And that's why I loved our helicopter pilot so much. He really cared about like the significance or the how you pronounce things and like how it all started and what year and people who have come in and ruined it and how sacred it is. He was incredible. Yeah. He was really incredible. And I'm glad that he's like everyone that he takes like you can you tell you so much pride in it. oh yeah passing that on to everyone that's getting in his helicopter yeah it was incredible i just laughed because he was so funny too like he had charisma and he was funny and he was quoting

super troopers but like nobody got it but me clear was like what was it i was like super troopers and i was like trying to like laugh into the microphone just to make him feel validated because i was like that's funny and i'm like yeah yeah whatever kately said you're like my boyfriend always says that i'm like it's from a movie yeah now i know i just thought adam was just so cool and I'm like oh he is cute and says that and then I'm like oh he stole it yeah but that's the story of my life and Adam is so funny and cool yeah and then another exciting part oh wait I think my microphone no is mine oh yeah yeah I need some new podcasting material for when I'm on the road I haven't just had to be on the road like podcasting but I think I need a new recorder because it

goes little staticky sometimes wait so when was the last time you did an in-person recording um when I got engaged oh yeah so just like I've done in person just because Jason or like a friend for sure and then with low oh yeah low and dancing with the stars and things like that but yeah no another exciting part that happened when we were here so we we went and we're like we want to have a pinocalada we're sitting at this table and then we're like I'm like wait a second this is the exact table where we came up with the idea to come up with you we should post a picture of the paparazzi shot that got us as we were at that table because apparently I was cooler then than I am now but there was paparazzi. taking photos of us sitting at that table. It was me, you, your sister T and Sandra. And we came up with due at that table and we have photos. But it's so crazy because that doesn't seem like that long ago to me. Like it seemed like two years ago.

Yeah, same. Two years ago. But that was three and a half. And I'm like, think about how much has happened in three and a half years. I mean, life can change so quickly and so much can happen in one year. Little can happen in one year. and a lot can happen one year. But I feel like there's just been a lot of exciting things happening at Doe, especially.

One in your life. That's true. But due to do. I haven't even had time to update everyone properly between like the birthday celebrations, the travels, everything that's been going on. But I think Cleo and I and the team always work towards something special for Do's anniversary. Is it the same thing? Well, yeah.

I feel like it's, but it's weird because it's like your birthday. So I feel like it has to be like dues anniversary. You don't want you to share. Okay. No, I can. Okay. I can. You know what?

It's just a day. Anyways, but on my birthday, and I guess do's third anniversary, whatever we want to call it, we launched our rewards program. People are loving it. Well, it's so cool. I feel like, yeah,

of course we did that. It's called club doozy. Like it's a doozy, but in a good way. So every time you guys buy something on due, you get rewards points and can then either redeem them for a product or

Dean your points, which is just a brilliant system because other companies do it, of course, but like for Do, I think it makes so much sense because it's, we're a legit club. Oh, the scrunchy gang is real and they're committed and they're just the most loyal. So they should be rewarded for that. I agree. And lastly, we launched our first ever do towel. We just, we've used it this whole time in Hawaii. It's so friggin' soft.

I can't even handle it. We brought it, of course. But I discovered the Turkish towels last year actually and feel so lucky that we were able to partner with defino towels because one, it's a Canadian company, but they get their towels ethically sourced and made directly from Turkey. You've been, but it's on my bucket list. I want to go so badly. It's incredible. The towels are so light. Easy to transport, easy to wash. That's my favorite part. And I love turkey. I love it. It's called turkey. I know, right? I called somebody to Turkey the other day. Someone was like, where's your engagement ring? I was like,

Right here, you turkey. Right here. And now we have turkey towels. Yeah. But they are awesome. And then actually, the second one is going to be launching in a couple days and we'll find a little surprise, but you guys will have to follow due to see what. Oh, what? How rude. Obviously, they're following and they'll see what's happening. But I also feel like without knowing that we launched this edit so well, because we were fully equipment. for Hawaii, towels, scrunchies, hats. It was so funny because we met a girl at the pool. And she was like, Caitlin, it's so nice to meet you. And she was like, I'm wearing a dew.

And I was like, is it waterproof? And she's like, no. And I was like, well, here's an aloha for you because we named one of the scrunchies. You had me at Aloha. And I had them on hand. Again, it's a sign, the universe. It actually is because, so obviously, we picked the swim collection for your birthday. And it literally was a week before coming to Hawaii.

because this trip was going to happen in March. But because you had to film for the Bachelorette, we had to push it back. And we go like five days after we launch a swim collection. The hell? We're good. It's like, we're really good. I mean, the fact that Jason proposes and has no idea we had an engagement shoot.

I still cannot believe that. It's hilarious. It's the universe. Anyways, I've got one last little game for us to play before we wrap it up. Oh, okay. And it's called Would You Rather Tropical Vacay Edition? Okay. one would you rather fly first class on a 12 plus hour flight and stay in a mediocre hotel

or sit in last row economy but stay in a beautiful resort wait i know exactly what you would say and we're completely different i don't know really yeah because i i i will usually say nine out of ten times i would rather fly first class on a 12 hour flight but if you're staying at a resort for 12 days, I'll take the last row for a 12-hour flight. As you should, yeah, I will take, as you know, I don't care. I will take the hotel any day over the flight. Okay, I got a good one next. Okay.

On the plane, would you rather sit next to someone reading pornography quietly or sit next to someone who won't stop asking you questions? Oh, someone who will read pornography quietly. Really? I feel like you're chatty, Kathy. Not on flight. Interesting. Leave me alone.

Just in Uber's? Just in Uber. I was like, where are you from? I'm like, oh my God, you're so nice. I just always find it so interesting when you're Maui. It's like, where did you come from? No, that's true. No, I always learn more when I'm with you because I'm like, oh, you ask questions.

And I'm like usually silent. Okay, would you rather get caught peeing in the pool? Oh, wait. You have another confession. How did we forget? Would you rather get caught peeing in the pool or pooping in the ocean? Peeing in the pool. Absolutely.

That was a stupid one. I got caught peeing in the bushes two days ago. there's two dudes that was actually my highlight of the trip me peeing in the bushes it was hilarious because in my mind I'm like okay oh shoot I can hear someone's coming I'm like I was going on my phone trying to find a song I would have been my pants they wouldn't have known you were there and then all the sudden it was giggling it was adorable it's coming and I'm like oh my god Caitlin like way to not be discreet at all and then not only did we should giggling and I was like I started turning red because I'm like okay I'm clearly trying to cover i did not make eye contact and then all of a sudden out pops katelyn out of the bush right as they're walking by i i was trying to be like see i'm standing here the whole time and then they walked by and looked at me and i just started waving from the bushes after they were breathing my cheeks hurt again that's so embarrassing oh yeah what's wrong with me it is uh okay would you rather step on a sea urchin or get a bad sunburn bad sunburn samecies would you rather

have a tropical vacay with over 104 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures with no AC anywhere or for it to rain during your entire trip 104 with no AC because you could jump in the ocean fair would you rather be without internet for a week or without your phone what's the div I'd rather without internet I'd want to talk to the people yeah exactly without internet would you rather drink bad water and unexpectedly diarrhea in public or have your Tampon string hanging out of your bathing suit all day. The tampon thing has happened to me so many times. And you survived.

You survived. Oh, good. Yeah, same. Tampons. Dary is lords. Tampon string for sure. Tampon string all day every day. Yeah.

Yeah. Would you rather go on vacation with your worst enemy from middle school and be able to do any activities you want or go with your significant other but not be allowed to leave your room? Significant other not be able to leave your room. What? On vacation? I go with my enemy and just be like I'm making the best of this and I'm going to

But it's all about who you're with. Yeah, that's fair. What's wrong with me? Would you rather trek through the moist mosquito-filled jungle with no bug repellent or go on a hike over lava rocks with no shoes? Oh, fill me up with mosquito bites. Yeah, same. Would you rather catch your flight but be turned around once

you got there and have to fly back a second time within 12 hours or not be allowed to go at all? Oh, to be able to turn around. Like we did. And then we had the best three days ever. We really did. We did. In that time that we did have vacation, I would like to say,

thank you for the beautiful birthday present of a helicopter ride. That was really sweet. Thank you for just always being the best travel partner. Are you kidding me? Thank you. And thank you for coming back with me because it really was like it was the most relaxing. We had so many laughs. Such a good time.

We recharged. We laughed so hard. We laughed so hard. morning we were going over some business stuff and Cleo looks at me and she goes okay so we decided to not go with this blah blah blah like we don't need to talk about it but she's like we decided to not go with this and I was like oh how come and she was like oh um oh uh because you didn't want to want to and I was like I die I was like what and we just died laughing and she was like you don't remember you didn't want to do this and I was like oh yeah it doesn't sound that funny now

but it was at the time like Caitlin was just like multitasked and she's like oh okay yeah okay no well if you agree then that's a bit but just like how come it's like uh it was your idea but she looked at me like she wanted she like didn't want to tell me it was my idea to not do it and she was like oh um oh uh well um you you didn't want to do it now because we just grab that no i well we talked it over i didn't want to oh gosh okay what time is it it's you gotta take a flight yeah i got to leave in an hour she tried changing it i changed mine to tomorrow. I still have one more night. Well, actually, I have to do the, I have to do the do photo shoot, which we were supposed to do when we landed that day.

I couldn't. Couldn't. So now you've gotten out of the photo shoot and we had to hire a model. Woohoo. So you're out. Oh. Enter model. Enter model. Caitlin's got a plane to catch. In fact, she's got three planes to catch. I am flying tonight. I leave at 7.20 p.m. and I land at Nashville the next day at 2.30 p.m. Okay. So you're going. And I have. And I. And I have a dinner tomorrow night. You do? Yeah.

At what time? Six. You're going to be dead. Yeah. Okay. So wait. So you're going from Hawaii to Salt Lake City to Atlanta. To Nashville.

Bon voyage, my darling. That is going to be a long one. But it was so worth it. We fed you some incredible sushi. You're an amazing last meal. Yeah. And I will miss you so much. We need to get out of this room for the last hour.

I need to be packed up and ready to go because I want to enjoy the last. Take some sun. The sun's coming out. Kind of. Here comes the sun. Doodoo doo-do. Oh, wait. I was going to say, can you end it?
