Starting point is 00:02:27 boxed warning. So my guest today are Dr. Leslie Raybock, a facial plastic surgeon based in New York City, and Tenney, a beauty content creator. Dr. Raybok and Tenney, thank you so much for calling in today to chat about Botox Cosmetic on a botulinum toxin A. As many listeners know, I've received Botox Cosmetic for quite a few years now, and I get it for my crow's feet, and I am very happy with the results. Thanks, Caitlin. Absolutely. I'm so glad you asked me to call in to talk about Botox Cosmetic on a botcholino toxin A. A lot of people don't realize that Botox Cosmetic is the first and only treatment. FDA approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, pros feet, and forehead lines look better in adults. And Botox Cosmetic is backed by 17 years of
Starting point is 00:03:15 published research and peer-reviewed journals. Well, thanks, Caitlin. I too am a regular listener and I'm so excited to talk today because I've been getting treated with Botox Cosmetic for years as well. I remember last month I heard you speak with a doctor about your experiences with Botox Cosmetic, and I just want to learn more about your treatment journey and sort of compare stories. So yes, that's true. A couple weeks ago, I spoke with Dr. Morgan Raybock, Leslie's sister, and business partner, about getting evaluated for use of Botox Cosmetic for my frown lines between the brows. Yeah, my sister had so much fun that I wanted to be part of the conversation too.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Wow, that's amazing. It must be fantastic to work with your sister. I'm so happy we can talk more today. I've been getting Botox Cosmetic for my frown lines, four headlines, and Crow's Feet for a few years now. And as a beauty YouTuber, I frequently get questions from my listeners about the process behind the treatment. Okay, yes, me too, which is why I'm so happy Dr. Raybok
Starting point is 00:04:12 is here to answer questions for both of our audiences. So, Tenney, since you've been on your Botox Cosmetic journey for a while, can you tell us why you first decided to get treated? You know, as a beauty content creator, I always encourage my audience to own their look, whether that means rocking a bold red lip, a smudged and smoky eye, or embarking on their own Botox Cosmetic Treatment Journey. I, too, own my look. Well, thank you for sharing.
Starting point is 00:04:37 My friends are always asking me about my experience with Botox Cosmetic and what the treatment is really like. Dr. Raybock, can you tell us more about the doctor's office experience so we can kind of get behind the treatment? One of the other things people always mention is when I say I use Botox Cosmetic, is that I still look like myself. Yeah. With this treatment, you look like yourself, just with fewer lines.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's great to hear, and it's so important. So Dr. Raybok, can we talk about how the treatment process works? Sure. Okay, so first of all, who is a candidate to receive treatment? Well, you must be an adult who is at least 18 years old to begin treatment with Botox Cosmetic. You can consider a Botox cosmetic consultation when you have visible, moderate, to severe frown lines, barhead lines, and or crow's feet. Everyone develops wrinkles differently, so it's best to see a specialist in person who can help you make the right decision for you.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Interesting. And how long does a procedure take? It's a quick 10-minute treatment with minimal downtime, and you may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in several weeks. or frown lines. It's great for busy women like us because it fits easily into our crazy schedules. Wow. So how does my doctor decide how much Botox Cosmetic I should receive? Well, Botox Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines. The repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling, and raising the eyebrows over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles with Botox Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. It's also important to know that there isn't a generic
Starting point is 00:06:27 version available, and that's because Botox Cosmetic uses a unique manufacturing process, and its potency is measured in units that can't be compared to any other product. Okay, thanks, Dr. Rabach, because I do always like to make sure my listeners are informed. So can you share if there are any risks associated with this treatment? That's a great question. Just like when you ask me about getting the treatment, everyone considering treatment should ask their doctor if Botox Cosmetic is right for them. The effects of Botox Cosmetic may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be a sign of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are. are at the highest risk. Okay, good to know. Can you tell us about potential side effects? So I always tell my patients, to be honest with me, about their full medical history, including allergies and any illnesses that they should be aware of,
Starting point is 00:07:31 since the side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, well, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox cosmetic if you have a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lugarig's disease, myastheniogravus or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications including other botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. For the full safety information, you can visit Botox Cosmetic.com or you can call 877-351-3-00.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Okay, and what about pain during the treatment? My friends and audience always ask me this question, and they're surprised when I say that it doesn't feel like more than just a simple pinch. Yeah, that's common. Some users report a slight pinch during the injection. Your specialist might use ice to numb the treatment area or even administer numbing cream depending on your comfort level. Yeah, and another question my friends usually ask is, what does it cost? Yeah, so prices vary based on you and your doctor's treatment goals, the geographic location, and the specialist. Thank you so much, Dr. Raybock.
Starting point is 00:08:46 I really appreciate you shedding light on the treatment experience. I'm very excited to see my doctor to receive my next treatment. And Caitlin, thank you so much for being so open. Your results really speak for themselves. Thanks, Tenney. Thanks, ladies. Love talking to you both about what to expect with Botox Cosmetic. All right, everyone, there has never been a better time to own your look
Starting point is 00:09:08 because right now I'm providing an extra special offer just for my listeners. you can receive $50 off Botox Cosmetic if you text Vine, that's V-I-N-E, to 651-90 on your mobile device. That's Vine to 651-90. And thank you so much for calling Dr. Raybok and Tenney. Okay, so happy Friday. Welcome to Dr.Ill. We decided to do a little podcast about being thankful because happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians out there. you just had your turkey day on Monday.
Starting point is 00:09:43 It's a beautiful thing. The best part about dating a Canadian is we could have two Thanksgiving's Thanksgiving days in one year and then we could also go to your family's Thanksgiving and then my family's Thanksgiving. Yeah, well, you didn't cook me at Toferky this year. Oh, well, we were in Carlsbad, California. Oh, why are you talking like that? Eat oysters.
Starting point is 00:10:04 You know what? That was a really great trip. So let's be thankful for our families because, so Jason and I decided to introduce our parents our dads yeah fathers our fathers our fathers and so we thought okay both of our dads loved to golf so for father's day in June
Starting point is 00:10:24 we both gifted our dads with a trip to Carlsbad California where Callaway Golf Headquarters is located and we went there and it just so happened to be my dad's birthday that day Jason's birthday is on the 24th of October and Jason's dad is the 29th. And so we're like, well, what a...
Starting point is 00:10:45 Roman, don't squeak. I really likes this turtle. You're cheating on Minow right now, buddy. And so we thought, wow, what a memory we could make if we went down to get them custom-fitted for golf clubs. Everybody at Calloway is the nicest person on the planet. They got us all set up, fitted for clubs.
Starting point is 00:11:06 They're going to be shipping out in two weeks, and everyone's going to play a better game of golf because of it. Yeah. So first of all, go to the Callaway. One of the biggest takeaways for me is I've seen a lot of toxic cultures in companies and people go to work and they're pissed off and they don't get along with their colleagues. This place was the most pleasant headquarters I think I've ever visited. It's the best.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Everyone was energized and charismatic and energetic. He's happy to be there. Oh, it was great. And our dads, the cutest thing is, you know, our dads were adorable. your whole life, your parents, you know, we're most very blessed with parents that have always taken care of us. But to kind of give back to your parents and to see our dads were like kids in freaking candy shops. And they couldn't like be more thankful. They were just like so grateful for the experience. Thankful is going to be the topic of this podcast. Thanksful is the topic. So it's
Starting point is 00:12:01 Thanksgiving Day. Give me five things a year. It's not Thanksgiving Day. Well, it's Canadian Thanksgiving On Monday. Thanksgiving Day week for you. Okay. Give me your top five things that you're thankful for. I am thankful for you, of course. Oh, that's sweet. You and ramen can count in the same one.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Okay. Obviously, the obvious, my family, I've like, just so close with everyone. I'm so thankful for my relationship with my family. My health. All the, you know, things that we should all be grateful for in life. I'm thankful for postmates. I was going to say, me tell me why um because they deliver whatever you want to your door at the convenience of an app
Starting point is 00:12:46 and click of a button you're out there and you're out there and you think maybe we do your top five like funniest things that you're thankful for because for you and postmates like you most people like me i'll get a burger late night pizza something crazy katelyn will like smell her armpits and then postmates deodorant yes like that's the type of shit The door the other day, and I got Postmates to bring me a hot pad. Who does that? Me? I do.
Starting point is 00:13:13 It's great. Postmates will bring you anything. Hey, you need condoms? Postmates. Stop it. Serious. Hemroid cream? Postmates.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I've done tampons. Whatever you got to do. Hemroid cream. I don't know. One of my pregnant girlfriends did it once. Anything from, you know, groceries to a burger to tampons. Wait, I'm having. having fun with this. So more funny things you're thankful for. Jennifer Aniston.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Okay. Well, yeah, that was, is that top, top five moments of your life? Jennifer Anniston, commenting back to you when there are so many comments and it's in reference to a friend's quote. She had like half a million comments on her photo. And I said, yeah, but are you and Ross still together? And she said, well, we're on a break, which is like the biggest best friend's quote of life. and I was people are like podcasts only on this topic Caitlin like where were you what happened what feeling went through your body and I'll tell you what I was in the spa yeah and I was in this quiet room where everybody's in robes and you know it says like no cell phones please be quiet and I'm sitting there and someone tweeted me and said Jennifer Aniston wrote you back are you
Starting point is 00:14:35 are you okay? Did your heart just drop? And I went. Full panic? I went, yeah, right. And then I went to the quote and she said that and I, honestly, I thought I was going to throw up a little bit. I peed a little.
Starting point is 00:14:51 And I thought, this is not okay. This doesn't happen to everybody and it is a big deal. Let's go. That's another friend's quote that you wouldn't know. No, we already went over this. I have never watched one friend's episode start to finish, but I am going to start Season 1, Episode 1, on November 1st. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And I'm going through it all, and I'm going to tweet about it. I can't wait. Yes, we are going to take you on our friend's journey. But I'm also going to be brutally honest, because everyone loves, loves, and adores friends. And it almost makes me want to go into it with like a little bit of like a devil's advocate, you know? Like I did with Game of Thrones. But if it's that good, I'm going to give it all the credit.
Starting point is 00:15:33 in the characters you got to like believe in their love stories you got to appreciate the humor you got to ignore the laugh tracks if i frame the picture and the comment with you and jennifer anniston for christmas is that a legitimate gift no i was like expecting hell yes i know that's i've got it on instagram it's never going away what if i got it signed what if she said to kately and a quote and got it signed I don't know. It's so funny because I'm like trying to remind myself that she's just a regular person. Just regular person. And then I go, okay, stop fan girl and Caitlin. Like, play it cool. But then I think about it and I scream.
Starting point is 00:16:14 But she is. So you obviously got nominated for People's Pop Podcast 2019. I just saw something on Twitter. By the way, it's your last week to vote. So please get on your phone. Swipe up, vote 25 max. I saw that she's going to be there because she got nominated for like the biggest award there. She is the people's choice. is and this is your moment. I think I'm going to meet her because that that little back and forth went viral, okay? I'm waiting for it to be on Ellen. Maybe that's my chance to go on Ellen.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Maybe I'll go on Ellen with Jennifer Aniston and. And when we could bring this to Twitter, I'm curious, is like, so obviously your Jennifer Anderson is like top notch. Is that pretty common amongst people your age or is it just like Jennifer Aniston's your person? No, I think it's pretty common. Oh, it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:02 So if you put a tweet out there, who is one person? I mean, she crashed Instagram because too many people were trying to follow her in one minute. It's not just me. Okay. So it's like monstrous. She is Rachel Green. She is. That's everything.
Starting point is 00:17:18 But I'm telling you, so I was talking, Becca Tilly message me and goes, oh my gosh, bucketless royalty, Jen Aniston responded to you and blah, blah. And she was like, you kind of give, you and Jason kind of give me, Rachel, and Ross vibes and I was like well I kind of love that but what why explain yourself and she said well you know you're cute and trendy and quirky and funny and Jason's like really smart and finance and dark hair and she goes well he doesn't like dinosaurs so there's that but she goes but you two didn't seem like you know a fit at first but but now he's your lobster which again is another quote that you will learn and I was like oh my gosh that's so funny and so And then I said, but he doesn't watch friends.
Starting point is 00:18:05 And she said, oh, my God, leave him. After she was like, it was so funny, though, because I'm like, I know. I don't know how like friends is just life anyone. And then she goes, oh, is he a Seinfeld guy? Because if you're not a friend's guy, you're usually a Seinfeld guy. And you're like, no, I just didn't watch TV. I'm like, what the actual shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:26 Jason. I think I ended my like TV series career at my, my, the power range. I was going to say my dex, but that was, that was this three sequel. Power Rangers. Power Rangers and picked it back up with like Breaking Bad. That was my gap. What a gap. It was ridiculous gap. That's actually crazy. I know. You have so much good TV to catch up on. So I haven't seen Seinfeld. I haven't seen friends. I'm trying to think of other like major TV series. You have so much good TV to watch. Are you jealous? Yeah. Because I was good. No, because I'll rewatch. I get jealous when people say they haven't seen Breaking Bad. I'm like, I'm jealous.
Starting point is 00:18:59 No, because you get to watch with you. And I get to. I've seen every episode of Friends. I don't know how many times it's... So before we wrap this up, is there anything else you're thankful for? That could give us a good laugh? Oh, um... Because that was Jennifer Aniston.
Starting point is 00:19:13 I don't know. I'm just, I'm thankful for a lot of things, to be honest. I don't know what's going to make you laugh. I'm thankful for the Vinoes who tune in every week and vote and are so loyal and dedicated.
Starting point is 00:19:23 I'm thankful for the Scrunchy King. I'm thankful for the, the spade and sparrowers. I don't know what we call them. You got a lot of... I'm just, there's a lot of... Ask gals backing you up, girl. A lot to be thankful for.
Starting point is 00:19:35 There is. There sure is. So, it's October. Truly the most wonderful time of the year. Halloween, do you remember when planning your costume as a kid was the most fun you could possibly have pre-Christmas? And now that you're an adult, Halloween feels less Halloween-y, I guess. Am I right?
Starting point is 00:19:50 Well, Me Undies is bringing back the childlike joy of picking out the perfect costume with their spooky prints and Halloween costume onesies. You know I love a good onesie. Like, I would wear it in public. Actually, I do wear it in public. I don't know if it's socially acceptable. I do it anyways. Year round.
Starting point is 00:20:06 I'm telling you that me undies has the best onesies, not to mention their incredible undies and socks too. I personally just got a pair of undies that have dinosaurs on them and a pair with pizza. I never thought I would feel as passionately about undies as I do right now. Here's the thing about me undies. They're spooky soft, designed to be the best thing that you've ever put on your body soft. Like softer than a fluffy kitten dressed up in a pumpkin. costume. Sure, I just made that up, but you know that's soft. They're also available in sizes
Starting point is 00:20:37 extra small to 4XL, soft for all. Meandis has the most unique prints out there, but the Halloween prints are on another spooky level. Starting point is 00:21:16 What about you? What are you thankful for? We're still doing the Thanksgiving thing? Yeah. I wanted this whole podcast to be a very positive. So it's for me, yeah, okay, I like that thing. So for me, it's like I'm going to give the basic boring stuff. which I really do adore family and friends to me are literally the foundation of my life.
Starting point is 00:21:35 They're everything I rely on. And when things in life just don't go the way they should, the foundation is what like brings me back and keeps me sane and solid. So that is huge. And then also this last year has just been what a crazy year to anyone out there that's going through tough times or facing adversity. You just never know how quickly your life could change. One day I was showing up to work, lost, you know, happy with my title and, like, where I was at,
Starting point is 00:22:04 but coming home just so lost and confused and, you know, two months later, three months later, whatever it was, I was getting asked to go into like the Ryan Seacrest Show. I'm like, what is happening? And it has been such a whirlwind, and I'm so blessed for the opportunity I had with the Bachelorette. But from that, all the different people I've met, experiences I've got to enjoy in paths that I've crossed as a result of just taking a very unconventional detour. And as a result of that, I'm sitting with you on this couch. We have ramen who's now going through puberty,
Starting point is 00:22:38 who we love and adore so much. And I couldn't be happier. And I just can't believe what has happened in a year. It's just, it hasn't even been a year. It's spinning. My head, it's a hat. But I'm just thinking. It wasn't even a year ago that we did our first podcast together.
Starting point is 00:22:56 And the other thing, too, is like to take it a little. for me for a minute. I've been doing like a lot of research and case studies on this. There are hundreds and thousands and millions of people that have made such small changes and adjustments of their life. And it has totally changed the outcome in their pursuit of happiness. And I found that this year was after me and that's what I'm thankful for. I like that. That's really nice. Yeah. That's what I was talking to Tia today. She just announced on her Instagram that her and her boyfriend broke up. And she was like, you know, I'm just like, I'm a motivated person. I've been doing the same job. I'm in a bit of a rut. And I'm like, well, yeah, you're going through a breakup. Like,
Starting point is 00:23:35 let yourself go through a rut. She's like, well, I just want to get my button gear. And I said, no, you got to just, you know, you don't know what this next year will have in store for you. So just feel your feelings right now, be in your little funk and do it when the time is right. And you'll be surprised where you're at in a year from right now. Yeah. My whole thing on this is that there are such small moments in your life that can define a legacy. There are so many, like you have small windows you have to capture. You have to. And in my opinion, what you need to do as people is just align yourself so that when that small
Starting point is 00:24:14 opportunity comes up, when there's a huge chance to take on high risk with a great reward, that you're prepared to do it. And what does that mean? Me, I think it's being like mentally healthy and physically healthy and just, in a position where it's not like you're leaning on something else or someone for happiness, you're happy internally. And when you are and you have that moment, whatever the hell it might be, you got to just hit a home run. But you also have to know that you're okay if it doesn't work out too.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Oh, for sure. Well, I think that's my exact point. I think my point is like you have to be prepared for it not to work out almost, right? So it's like you have such internal happiness with your foundation that if things don't work out, you're still satisfied with your mental, physical health, your wealth, and where you're at life. And then if it does work out, you're like, holy shit, thank every star in the sky that I took that. For sure. But a lot of things in life are based on like leverage and confidence. And if you have the ability to just stick up for yourself and be confident with what you're doing and know what you want, that is literally 90.
Starting point is 00:25:23 percent of the battle yeah i love you i'm like staring at you and like listening to this deep conversation then you have like these cute little eye patches like oh yeah puppy eyes under your eye like well you you gave these to me i know it's just cute because i'm like all into your covo and i'm looking at you and you're so passionate about what you're saying and then you've got like i know what you're thankful for doctor rutherford i have a freaking dr peter rutherford it's disgusting that have a sty it hurts it looks like you got punched in the eye it hurts it's really bad styes suck so you're not had one in a long time no not thankful for styes is what you're saying not thankful for those i'm just so i'm still i'm still gonna go back to this for two seconds i'm just
Starting point is 00:26:03 still so thankful for our weekend with our dads like it was just so cute to see them bond and they're the same kind of person like they're both just like these nice funny they had their little banter you know back and forth like they're doing jokes and pushing each other's buttons and we just did all these nice dinners and golfs and it was just like it was just like you really special. Yeah, I think that's a relatable thing that happens to, again, everyone that's in a relationship. At some point, your families have to meet. And so we were fortunate that it was our dad's meeting under circumstances that literally they were on cloud nine, but you never know what could happen. I think that would be another tweet to put out there. I'd find interesting
Starting point is 00:26:41 is like horror stories or great stories of parents meeting each other or embarrassing moments. But our parents, our dad's got along so well. And I agree there's a lot of similarities. Their demeanor similar they're very positive fun energetic but very laid back if i had to simple they're laid back simple and easygoing and i think that's what makes these guys so happy is that like for for my dad t-bone which is he's always been t-bone but we've been calling him t-bone and big mike yeah um that's my dad they don't let a lot bother them and they find satisfaction in the smallest things yeah And it has led to just a life of happiness for both of those two. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Right. They really are too happy guys. Right. And those are things that like I feel like you're right. Our generation, it's, we want more, we want more, we want more, we're not satisfied, give me more. And I think there's obviously good and bad with that. But these guys just love life and like to, and it's so authentic. I'm so thankful for Gary and Mike.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Yes. Teabone. Why are Teebone if his name's Gary? Because our last name's Tartick. and I think it was like he was eating a tea bone and the steak came into a tea and you know everyone's got good nickname stories. And guess what nickname
Starting point is 00:27:59 Jason's dad came up with for me? Ballsy. Ballsy Bristow. Well, at first he just called me balls. And I can't remember why. How did that happen? First of all, my dad's a piece of work. But what happened was your dad used my dad's hot spot.
Starting point is 00:28:19 And everyone has, you know, Wi-Fi passwords are all like goofy and weird. And Caitlin's like, Gary, you should change that to Tardick 10 or whatever it was. And Gary's like, no, no, that's my password. I'm to keep it how it is. But thank you. So, Caitlin's like, can I see your phone real quick?
Starting point is 00:28:34 I want to put the password in. Puts the password and gives it back to my dad and goes, I just changed the password to Tardick 10 or whatever it was. And he's like, you changed my password? And he goes, yeah. Balsy move. Wow. You got some balls.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Oh, yeah. And then he goes, I think that's your new nickname. Because let's just, let's just like, what the f***? Well, let's just tell everybody first that your family does, I mean, a lot of families do nicknames. My family does too. My whole family has nicknames too. But to get in with the Tardix, I feel like you know you're in when you have a nickname. And so this whole, we went to Yellowstone to Wyoming.
Starting point is 00:29:11 And I kept making jokes like, okay, guys, like, when am I going to get it? How am I going to get it? I tried to like make up my own. And Gary was always like, no, no, no. It has to just come naturally. So when he goes, you got some balls, he goes, I think that might be your new nickname. I'm like, ballsie Bristol. And that turned to Balsey Bristow.
Starting point is 00:29:29 We all, we did nine holes of golf and he kept being like, all right, up to the T, whole nine. Balzy Bristow. I kind of like it now. I kind of like it, too. Because I'm in. It's very fitting. Oh, because I got balls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:44 So I got some questions from Vino's about Canadian Thanksgiving. wanted to start start out, we're like halfway in, wanted to answer some of those. So Alicia Panyar says, what are signature foods for Canadian Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:29:57 Is it turkey stuffing and mashed potatoes too? It's a great question. I know and I was laughing about this because people always ask that. Like, what is Canadian Thanksgiving? And I'm like, What is American Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:30:06 We don't know. But like, no, we do. Smarties? Oh, God. No, but it is. Same thing. It's either, do you guys do ham at Christmas
Starting point is 00:30:16 and Turkey for Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving. So Thanksgiving, always turkey. Always. Now at Christmas, everyone does it a little differently. We do ham and turkey. But some people, you know, like Italian, some Italians will do a seven dinner, a fish dish. Everyone does things a little bit different, I think. Well, we do the same thing. Yes. Turkey, mashed potatoes, casseroles. What's your favorite Thanksgiving? Great question. You know what it is? It's my dad's sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top. I can't get down with. to the potatoes. I know. I don't get it. Sweet potatoes. I can't do sweet potatoes. I love sweet. I don't want sweet with like my meat and my corn and things like that. But so my favorite is stuffing. Oh, I love stuffing with fresh jalapeno in there. No, no, no, no. You don't have a classic. Oh, yes, you do. You twist it. You twist it. You don't twist it. You don't twist it and rip it. Well, that doesn't make sense. You're going to have my dad's stuffing and you're going to be blown out of
Starting point is 00:31:12 this world. I love, I love classic. Who doesn't throw a little twist into a stuffing? You You don't do stovetop stuffing for Thanksgiving. You do that on like a random Tuesday. I've never seen you eat stove top ever. That's my point. Anyways. I'm trying to think of my other favorite. I obviously don't eat turkey.
Starting point is 00:31:33 I feel like you would be like a cranberry sauce. Oh, I love cranberry sauce. I hate that. I just love dipping. I love condiments. A cranberry sauce on everything. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:44 On a similar note, Aaron Tomzack asks. is there a classic Canadian Thanksgiving dish that we don't have for American Thanksgiving and what's the weirdest American Thanksgiving dish to you? Poutine, for sure. No. Do you guys ever have like the cake that you laid on fire? What?
Starting point is 00:32:07 Cake that you look, I don't know what you're talking about. I can't remember what it's called. My Auntie Patty would tell you. I don't know. I think it's all very similar though, to be honest with you. Okay, Monica Ramose says, Ramos, I didn't even know there was a Canadian Thanksgiving. Do you have a tradition every year with your family?
Starting point is 00:32:25 And what traditions would you and Jason like to start together? Well, we, I mean, I think we do the classic where we go around the table and we say what we're thankful for. That's obviously our number one tradition. See, the big tradition I'd want to start with my family is like a monster, monster game night, like a full-out tournament. Yeah, we do that. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:32:45 Whatever may be. Now, growing up, It's pretty cool. The guys that my dad played high school football with, every morning they had a turkey bowl. So the guys would play together, and then their kids would come and watch. And then their kids got big enough to play. Now they do the kids versus the old guys, things like that. That's great.
Starting point is 00:33:01 For hockey, we would have morning skates every Thanksgiving. They still have it. We did that growing up, too. We called it the Christmas Cup. All of my buddies would go play on the outdoor rinks, like, frozen ice. Yeah. So I think they, I mean, Thanksgiving, in my opinion, Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays because the only thing you have to get ready for is eating and being with family right there's not it's not like gifts or
Starting point is 00:33:22 like all this other bullshit it's just time spent with the people that like you absolutely love and eating like an absolute savage and then the turkey toots turkey toots yeah your toots always smell like stale turkey well i got palsy bristow i got her who gets her no one does that was a one two punch oh my god oh my god i don't think i've had a one two chert punch on you well you know gotcha it's fascinating that credit card you got it's fascinating that my tooth smell like meat when i don't eat meat i think they smell like cauliflower anyway let's keep on jesus christ you said it yeah a little chirp at you know one two punching out let's go next round anyways anytime people eat turkey dinners they get the turkey toots
Starting point is 00:34:17 But you sleep like a goddamn baby. Yeah, you do. All right. So 50% of the world's population has a period. So I'm not sure why we're still super uncomfortable talking about them. I think it's so crazy that people still shy away from the topic of periods. I actually have thought that for a long time. So it's time to start talking about it.
Starting point is 00:34:36 That's why I'm excited to have Thinks as a sponsor. So Thinks is period-proof underwear that absorbs your flow up to four tampons worth. So, okay, here's how it works. Your period goes in, no leaks come out. You stay fresh, dry, comfortable throughout your whole cycle. You can use things to back up or even replace tampons, pads, cups, anything else that you're using today. And they look and feel just like everyday underwear. You won't notice you're wearing them.
Starting point is 00:35:02 You go about your normal life. They're washable, reusable, so you can feel good about switching to a more sustainable period too. Things is on a mission, one that I find incredibly important. Their mission is to empower everybody with innovative solutions and social change. Every purchase gives back to their Give Rise program where they're fighting for better access to puberty, education, menstrual equality, and more. I'm trying to be more open about my period because, like I said before, I just can't believe it's still a topic that is somewhat of a taboo. I do have to admit, though, I was a little skeptical about period-proof underwear, but after trying it, I'll try anything. I have to say I am a believer, and it's changed the way I period.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Like I used to do it during the heaviest part of my month when I needed a little more coverage. I wear my tampon per usual and then add things as a backup. They're comfortable. They let me live my life while it's that time of the month. I would encourage all my vinos to be more open about their period. It's normal, part of life. It's okay to talk about it. Period.
Starting point is 00:36:00 So to learn more about things underwear that absorbs your period, visit period better.com and use our special code vine to get $10 off your first pair. Anyways, let's do some Thanksgiving, can you nods? Uh, can you nods? You know, like, I'll give you an example. You seem confused. Right now? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:22 I was just, you know what I was just thinking about? What? I'm surprised more people don't get high. You don't want to do that in a family thing, but like, I do. I just like getting, like, I'm surprised people more people don't get high and then just crush turkey dinner. Gillian Harris was on my podcast and she said at Bumba, her grandma's funeral. Yeah. Her grandma just wanted it to be a party and they all got high.
Starting point is 00:36:43 They got, no way. Mm-hmm. Wow. But this is interesting because once I read these can you nuts, I'm like totally. So Brittany Lynn says, can you not drill me about when I'm going to get serious in a serious relationship and what I'm going to have kids? Oh, are you talking about Thanksgiving Day small talk? Yeah. Oh, brutal.
Starting point is 00:37:01 What's next? What job you're going to get when you're in college? That's the worst. Nicole Roslin, can my dad not tell the same stupid joke at dinner about yams? How do you eat yams? You yam them in. Dad jokes. Who was your dad joke you told the other day?
Starting point is 00:37:19 You were getting sushi and it literally took 40 minutes and I was in the parking and I was like, what are they, catching the fish in there? I was like, okay, dad. Kelsey Bodner, can you not talk about politics while I'm trying to enjoy turkey? I need more wine to deal with my family. I'm not going to lie, I was terrified politics. We're going to come up in our family time this weekend. I was like, don't go there, don't go there.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Politics is just not a good sense. It's not a good topic for family, I don't think. Even when you all agree on something, I still don't like talking about it. Yeah, it's politics. Can you not politics? Collina Kelly, can you not stick the turkey in my face saying how I'm missing out on good stuff every year, even though I haven't eaten me 13 years? No, thanks. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:38:05 That is me because everyone's always like, oh, you're really missing out. This is great. Okay, thanks. That's hilarious. Julianna Cross, can you not make fun of me for a. doing the button on my pants. I'm a starving student who just wants to eat all the snacks. I love that.
Starting point is 00:38:20 I do my pants. Get it. Out for dinner. You've seen me do it. I have seen it. It's impressive. I like, I don't even wait till I'm done the meal.
Starting point is 00:38:27 I start out to unbutton just to like pregame it. What? Mary Green says, can you not drink all my wine that I brought just to get through the family dinner? No, I appreciate that. I feel that so much. Bring your own bottle and we can act like, what? and we can act like we like each other as we toast to family.
Starting point is 00:38:48 That's so funny because I always like to bring nice wine, like spade and sparrows. And then when I see people just crushing it and not appreciating, I'm like, mm-hmm. Oh, ramen's like, what the hell is that noise? Okay, then we got a couple confessions, and we are going to bed thankful tonight. Yes, thankful. I feel like I want some turkey, though. Well, I can do it for you.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Oh, God. Confessions, let's go. Julie Caden, confession, I was at the cottage for Thanksgiving and got food poisoning. The septic system isn't great there, and a lot of people using the bathroom, I couldn't keep up. During one of my episodes, I full on broke the septic system so badly that they had to bring in a special plumber because it was a long weekend. His rates were double. needless to say I wasn't invited back to the cottage again
Starting point is 00:39:46 oh my gosh she had to pay double for that's hilarious Kira Tryan Confession my golden Doodle always gets a Thanksgiving dinner plate and because her ears are so floofy we tie them in on top of her head with a scrunchy
Starting point is 00:40:02 so she doesn't get gravy in her ear fluff I'm going to do that Can we make ramen a little Thanksgiving plate because he can have like yams and No, we can make them a thing. Yeah, let's do that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:16 For Thanksgiving Day, Robbies. We're so thankful for you, Raman. You saved us. Not like us as a relationship, but like our hearts. Brian Gale. Confession, last year I was 10 weeks pregnant at Thanksgiving and hadn't told my parents yet. We planned on doing a surprise reveal to them in a week or so, but my mom kept asking me to help prepare the meal. the smells and heat was too much
Starting point is 00:40:43 I ran outside to be sick she came out and asked what was wrong I said I'm oh all I said was I'm pregnant and Thanksgiving has ruined my surprise for you and then I burst into tears no I'm sorry for that
Starting point is 00:40:57 I'm sorry for that do you have any confession confessions from this Carl's bad trip you tell me do I the only funny confession I thought you had is this guy in this girl Okay, so we went out with Becca and Garrett. It was so good to see them.
Starting point is 00:41:15 They are awesome. I always forget how funny Garrett is. He is like one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life. And Rahman and Minow got to play. It was fantastic. But there was a couple there and they're telling their story. And we're with Amanda from Bunny's Buddies. We were just talking about like, what a cool moment for her.
Starting point is 00:41:34 She's there. And it's so clear how much we just love and adore. Robin, it is so evident how much that Becca and Garrett just absolutely love Minow. And what a cool moment for Amanda and the fact that she's seeing all of us give so much love to these animals that she saved. Yeah. Like, what a cool moment. But the only confession I would say, there's a couple there, and they're telling this story about when they started dating and how they started dating. And essentially, they work together and they would stalk each other's calendars.
Starting point is 00:42:08 so they would know where each other were and would play all these different games with each other and it was like really cute at first and then it got like okay this is weird and Caitlin's was on my left and the couple was on my right and the noises that were coming out of you when they would make like a comment about the next story was the funniest shit you'd be like you'd be chirping then so hard with the noises you were making like you were i don't know if you were in like a mood or not but it was the funniest thing come on what were the things you were doing i don't know come on i was just annoyed because she had a scrunchy scrunchy in her hair and it wasn't a do come on what were you're doing some funny stuff i don't remember i don't even realize all right we'll let you off easy here
Starting point is 00:43:01 i've got a good confession for tuesday on off the vine okay we'll say that uh this one's good this is crazy. Bethany Christina, confession. I was spending Canadian Thanksgiving with my ex-boyfriend's entire extended family. He asked me to take a walk with him to see the beautiful fall leaves. We walked to a really pretty lookout and turned around and he was down on one knee. I was shocked and instantly hoped that this was a prank because I did not want to get married yet. But no, he opened up a ring box, popped the question. I felt so sick.
Starting point is 00:43:30 I had to have this awkward conversation with him where I told him I was not ready to be married. We had to walk all the way back to. to his parents' house with him crying, me trying to explain that I felt I was too young, etc. And of course, the universe wanted to bitch-slapped me. So as we walked back into the houses and fire, well, his entire family screamed congratulations while holding cakes and balloons.
Starting point is 00:43:53 My boyfriend turned to me and said, well, you can tell them. And then walked away, leaving me to have the awkward conversation with his family. We were in the middle of the country and I didn't have a ride home three hours away. This was 10 years ago and I'm still cringing. Thanksgiving will never be the same
Starting point is 00:44:08 My God I'm going to assume they didn't get engaged or married She said ex-boyfriend, so Wow It's a tough bounce for that guy And now imagine the next girl he gets engaged She's just going to be shitting his pants Yeah but don't you think you would know that
Starting point is 00:44:25 Or am I wrong? Well this was 10 years ago So maybe they're just really young And he thought this was the one And I'm sure he's very happy now That always reminds him Brett Kessel told me that he'll have people come on stage into engagements and they'll say no in front of like that shit's crazy it's so
Starting point is 00:44:44 so I'm always like the jokester at the at the Thanksgiving table you know and my family said Caitlin you got to stop telling jokes and I said I can't quit cold turkey no it's just a great joke somebody said they missed me telling jokes at the end of my podcast and there you have it so would you though would you do just like freestyle jokes at the Thanksgiving Day dinner free how do you freestyle a joke you got to have them planned like yeah but like scripted like okay guys so no two guys walk into a bar I have jokes stored up in the old brain here and I will my my comedic timing is
Starting point is 00:45:35 impeccable if I do say so myself so if something came up I would have a joke for it so is that your strategy so there are times we're at dinner and you're so sometimes you're more quiet and then sometimes you're super funny so do you wait you have like 50 jokes stored up in the old brain skis and then you just fired off when the top it comes up yeah so like people start talking about candles and you have like a little storage bin in your brain for candle jokes and then you just open it up and just pull a file out and just start firing away yeah damn it i really wish i had a candle joke right now that i could have just laid down well well you know what happened is um i know raman that was just jason's feet uh i was with uh one of my
Starting point is 00:46:22 buddies at home in evanton and he was like how do you have a joke for everything and he like i was genuinely hoping i would have one for he's like i'm just going to point at something you tell me a joke about it and we're eating sushi i was like please point to the sushi i've got a joke and he did and I did the whole like wood sushi a say to sushi B wasabi see so you just have these all prepared yeah and then he's like did you just think about that like you just made that up right now comedians do I don't know yeah I think they've just got a bunch in the bank just have like bits tank like remember we did the today show with the one comedian and we touched on one thing and it was anniversaries and that guy went into a full bit on anniversaries yeah they have bits planned
Starting point is 00:47:05 people do they're comedians they've been doing years of bits so they've got it all programmed it's amazing thank you just kidding i'm just kidding okay well let's end it by saying i'm the most thankful for for my happiness and you have a big part of that oh that's very sweet happy thanksgiving to everybody that's very sweet way to end it's something nice back to me yes well then And I already alluded to the fact, I am so happy for the last year.
