Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.
Let's take a moment to talk about my other happy place. Walt Disney World, obviously, my podcast is my first happy place.
Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect escape and now as an adult you can experience it in an entirely new way.
Enjoying classic attractions you love as a child like Space Mountain at Magic King,
Park or test track at Epcot and indulge in experiences that you can appreciate even more as an
adult.
Come discover your happy place and experience a site of Disney you've never seen, including
foodie dining, unique shopping, and other magical experience at Disney Springs.
Explore new immersive worlds like Pandora, the World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Park, where you can ride on the back of a breathing banshee or Toy Storyland at Disney's Hollywood
studios where you can experience the exciting toy-filled world of Andy's backyard.
Celebrate spring at Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival where the park comes alive with brilliant gardens, fresh flowers, and rock and live entertainment at the Garden Rock's concert series.
And don't miss out on celebration as we party with Mickey during his 90th birthday at Mickey and Minnie's surprise celebration.
Mickey's still got it.
Going hard at 90.
Or how about a stop into wine bar, George, where you can make yourself at home in an estate-style wine bar with over 130 selections.
Yes.
Relive the nostalgia of Disney or create some new memories.
Now's the time to find your happy place at Walt Disney World.
Hello?
Rick.
Rick!
Hey!
What's up?
So listen, the heat's on and there's nowhere left to turn.
So I'm just going to fly my spaceship into a black hole.
Is that cool with you, dog?
Rick, no!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you drunk dial.
I'm here with Elizabeth.
You guys remember her from one of my other podcasts.
She is my little skin guru.
I like to call her the skin wizard.
And, okay, I always like you to introduce yourself because you say it so much better than I do.
Oh, go on.
Hello.
I am Elizabeth Smith.
I am a physician assistant.
However, I am a master injector and kind of, you know, cosmetic.
Dermatology, kind of dear.
Yeah, wizard.
Like I said, skin wizard.
But no matter how many podcasts I do, no matter how many times I answer on Instagram,
no matter how many stories I do, anything, people always want to know about skin care.
And I'm one of those people that dabble.
I'm all over the place with skincare because I'll try a lot of different things.
But people have very specific questions about skincare, about Botox, about fillers, about everything.
So I thought we would just use this drunk dial to do.
Rapid Fire questions, you know, quick and bang it out and then drunk down a couple,
a couple broads.
Is that rude?
No.
Broads, women.
Broads.
I like the femme females.
Yeah.
Own it.
Own who you are.
I like calling girls broads.
Yeah.
Okay.
So quick rapid fire and then we'll get into a couple like topics that come up often so we can
dive into those ones.
but jade rollers people always wanted to know about jade rollers are they um are they a gimmick do they
really work i use one but i don't know if it's doing anything i just actually love the way it feels
on my skin and it calms my anxiety and i use it on an airplane and it just feels good yeah but is it a
gimmick does it actually work so you don't have to have actual jade it could just be a cold
stone so yeah of sorts so uh it just basically drains all the fluid so if you're super puffy in the
morning or you just feel like you're just had too much, you know, wine or salty meals.
Yeah.
It's really great just to kind of roll towards your ear.
Okay.
Because that pushes all of the kind of built up fluid towards your lymphatics.
And it actually does a good job.
I mean, it's not a bad thing.
It's not going to transform your skin.
Right.
But it's not a good thing.
But it does what it's supposed to.
It just drains a little bit of the, what is it?
There's a lymphatic fluid that kind of builds up.
Okay.
And so it just makes you more puffy.
Okay.
in general.
Okay.
And so you could basically just take like a rolling pin that you would roll out like dough on.
Stick it in the old freezer and roll your face out the morning.
You don't need a jade roller to do it.
Right.
Just some sort of rolling device that's cold.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
What do you exfoliate with if your skin is super sensitive but also flaky?
What's your favorite?
Wow.
Exfoliate.
Exfoliator.
Exfoliator.
Exfoliator.
So there is.
So there is a quicksonic, it's basically silicone, and it's gentle and it vibrates.
And you can use that as an exfoliator instead of using chemicals, like harsh chemicals on your skin.
Okay.
Because a lot of glycolics and cellosylics and the AHA, BHA acids are going to be rough on your skin, especially if you're like rosacea or just sensitive.
Okay.
So that's something I would use if you can't tolerate.
more of the acids.
Wait, on that note, one of my girlfriends has rosacea is that when you get red on your cheeks.
What is the best thing for that?
So there's several things depending on the type of rosacea.
Unfortunately, there's several types of rosacea.
But you can use things like, say you're very sensitive and react.
Even like the phytocorrective mask or phytocorrective gel can kind of calm the skin.
Okay.
But there is something called redness relief complex that's by,
in Medica. There's someone called Rosetrol by ZO. So there's a couple of good products that are good
for Rosatia, but it really depends on what you're responding to. You need to find your food
triggers that are causing it. There's just so much to Rosatia that you need to sort through
the next. I almost keep like a diary of what you're doing and figure it out. Right. Oh, that's rough.
This, I don't know if I'm supposed to be saying people's names. When I did that Instagram DMs and
they were asking these questions, I'm like, I don't know if they want their name to be private
because some of the stuff, you know, some people get embarrassed to talk about it.
But anyways, Casey wants to, I'll just use first names.
Casey wants to know, how do you feel about retinol on Amazon for a newbie, specifically tree
of life?
Run!
Don't do it!
So a little story for you is my sweet father.
Yeah.
Who has a skincare routine.
Yes, he does.
he stole my mom's. I got her some serums and he started stealing them because he loved seeing
the results of them. Because a lot of guys, let's be honest here, 50% of them actually cared. They just
won't ask about it because they feel like they shouldn't ask about it. Yeah. But you should still
do skincare guys. Jason owns his skincare routine. Like he's all about it. Love it. Yeah.
Anyway, so he was stealing her. So they ran through it really quickly. And he was so sweet and didn't
want to bother me. So he went online to order it, which
he should know better and he because it's a medical grade product right and he ordered it and it came
and he's like so i got that c e stuff and it's clear it's water i yeah it's a little different than what
you gave me yeah so it's completely fake wow so kit um can you like sue right well i how do they
get away with that that's a little my brainiling device oh is that busy um so i i
reported at two
skin surgicals. Okay.
And, but basically they say on their site,
here's the reputable sites that will sell it.
And if you don't go through one of those sites,
they cannot guarantee it's the right product.
That's so shady.
Yeah. So don't use Amazon.
Yeah. No Amazon. Amazon's the same thing.
They are not, because anyone can go online and sell on Amazon.
I ordered that Skin Medica,
H-A-5 from Amazon.
Does that mean it's fake?
Not, it doesn't always mean
it's going to be fake. But there's a couple things. It's, A, who knows what warehouse it's
been sitting in and how much it's breaking down. And is, is it, um, expiration date coming up?
Oh, I can't even think about that. You know, there's so much to that. Yeah. And why is it
discounted? There has to be a reason. Yeah. Because skincare doesn't just get, you know,
50% or 30% discounted. Yeah. And so it's, that's the big thing. But what was like,
the label was so on point. Yeah. Even with this product. And so if you would have never used it a day in
your life, you would never have an idea it was fake.
Except for your skin would look like shit.
Right.
You'd be like, that doesn't work.
Yeah.
Screw you, Elizabeth.
But skin suiticles is life.
Life.
Life.
Lifegiving.
If I'm on a deserted island.
That's what you're bringing.
I'm bringing it.
Absolutely.
Well, I guess on that topic, we won't do rapid fire because that just kind of goes in
with my next question.
I wanted to ask you about over the counter, so many of these questions coming in on
Instagram.
we're about good products to use over the counter, over the counter, over the counter,
you know, for our little broke AF students who want some sort of, over the counter was the
main topic that kept coming on.
Yeah.
Coin word.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
Over the counter.
So give us what you got for that.
And explain to us why it's not great to get stuff over the counter.
Yeah.
So I don't want to shame over the counter products.
Right.
I'm not product shaming, but I kind of am.
So there, if it's over the counter, that means it's formulated for anyone that can buy it.
Because you have to be able to walk into Walgreens and be able to buy something and not have an issue with it, an extreme issue with it, or else they'd be in trouble.
Right.
Because it's being sold without a medical license.
So what they do is they fill the stuff up with all these fillers, all these little preservatives.
All of this junk, which actually can sensitize your skin, can make you have skin reactions, can make you break out, and totally disrupt the pH of your skin.
What is pH?
It's like, so, I think I know, but I just want to hear it from you.
You go acidic and you go basic.
Yes.
And so there's a pH scale going from acidic to basic.
Okay.
And so in your skin world, you don't want to.
disrupts that because that disrupts the whole facial harmony.
It disrupts your entire, you know, complexion basically and how it responds to products
and, you know, what it's going to do.
So when over-the-counter products disrupt that, it just sends your skin into panic mode.
Now, there are some washes that you can use and some other products that might work for
you if you're trying to save some money because I'm all about saving the money.
that you've got to eat
girls got to eat yeah
but there's just certain things that you just shouldn't do
or else A you're going to run into issues
or B it's just not going to do anything
because it's so watered down at that point
right that's what yeah it's watered down
so what are the what product would you recommend
if somebody was to get it over the counter
or did you just say that no I do
yeah okay so there's a couple of washes
well it depends on what you're trying to treat
basically, because if you're treating acne, I have a couple that I really like.
There's Nutrigena oil-free pink grapefruit.
Oh, I love that.
It smells so good.
Yeah.
They're wipes, too.
Their makeup wipes?
Yeah.
Not everything through Nutriena is great, but this does have salicylic acid in it.
So for my breakout, you know, girls or guys, if you're looking for something over the
counter, this is something you can use because that's a really important ingredient for
that.
If you're looking for just a gentle cleanser, you can do purpose, gentle cleanser.
You can do Bertsby's facial oil cleanser.
There's a lot of good or bad with Saraje, but the reason Sarajeh hydrating cleanser works is because there's nothing really in it that's going to hurt your skin.
Okay.
So if you're just trying to get your makeup off, you know, just get something like that over the counter to use.
Okay.
I don't mind their lotion either while we're on that.
I don't either.
I mean, there's so much, there's a couple of ingredients that people are kind of giving them a bad rep about.
But again, it's not harming your skin.
If you're using it just for a moisturizer, you know.
Okay.
Almond Joy, I don't know, that's our instrument.
wants to know what my skin type is and my go-to products for skincare.
I've been trying to be more knowledgeable about stuff I put on my face.
I do love the idea of cruelty-free, which Hello Body was really great for because they are cruelty-free.
love that. What is my skin type, though? Uh, you're just normal. I'm normal. Okay. Um, so I,
I, I just feel like I, I, I always love trying different stuff, but my main routine is skin
suiticles with their, um, the, well, you know what I use. The C. E. Fruelik. Uh, then I use
the H.A. Intensifier. Yep, H.A. Intensifier. And then the H.A. 5. From skin medica. From skin
Medica. And then I do an eye cream, the E-Y-E, the I-G-E, A-G-E, P-Y-T, pretty young thing.
The A-G-E-E-E-I complex. It's so funny, I just send pictures. I'm like, I need this, I need this.
And then this new moisturizer, it's like some different levels of things.
Oh, I should have...
Triple lipid restore?
Yep.
Oh, bathe in it.
Yes.
Yeah.
I live for triple bit of a disorder.
Well, actually, not to get all sent it.
It actually repairs your moisture barrier.
Oh.
So most moisturizers, like you put the cap on a water bottle and you just lock everything in.
Mm-hmm.
And that's why they don't work a lot at the time because you don't have enough moisture to lock in.
Right.
But this, it mimics your moisture barrier.
It's a glorious.
So if you're really dry-skinned, lock it in.
Lock it. Lock it. Lock it in. Okay. So I'm normal. That's the first time I've ever heard that.
If you use one product at night after washing your face, what should it be?
I will take retinol for $500. Retina, okay. You're right. And that people need to be careful with because you need to start off very slow because your skin can react to it. So like low and low.
Twice a week, then three times a week. Yes. So every other night, if you're starting at something low like,
I have so many people that message me and they're like, I can't do retinol.
It's a bad word.
You can say bad word.
And I'm like, well, if you, what did you start with?
They're like, oh, I just started with 1%.
Like that's the highest.
Welcome to burn your face off level.
So you start low.
You start slow.
Rokey.
What a rookie.
And then you go up for there.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm at, I'm at a point five and I feel it.
It's really nice.
I feel it.
Rachel wants to know how to fix sagging jowls.
First of all, jowls are that lose skin that's right.
To the side of the mouth.
Yeah.
So jowls.
And some people confuse the word jowls with also like these little nasalabial folds,
which is your, like.
Which are the smile like folds right by your nose.
By your nose that come down to your mouth.
Yeah.
Okay.
So whenever you lose volume in your face.
So whether it's.
weight loss or it's just aging. When you lose all of that volume, it's like you take the springs
out of a mattress and everything sinks down. And so that's how you get joust. So you have to either
replace the volume in the cheek area. Now I don't mean like, yeah, not giant cheeks. We're not
about this like, you know, crazy life, like saw cheeks. We like modern sprinkles. We'll get to
that. Yes, you don't want to overfill the cheek. It's just you hide filler even sometimes just to pull us
and tighten us up and get rid of your chest. Okay. Okay. So filler. Yeah. But long-winded, rapid fire. But, I mean,
the modern sprinkle filler. The model sprinkle. Yeah. Isn't that a great? I love it.
What, oh, Aminjoy, just coming at me with a couple questions here. What foundation do you use? Your skin always is
glowing. I don't think that's the foundation. I think that's my skin care routine because I've tried
different foundations all the time and sometimes I don't even put foundation on. It's just like I think it's
my moisturizer and all the serums I use. Right. Yeah. And I don't want to like if you are doing
good skin care and you don't get to the point where you can't wear makeup, obviously that's our
goal. Like we want you to feel comfortable in your own skin. But some people you just, it's a battle and
it's a struggle to get there and that's okay yeah but good skin care will get you to a point where
you know you have some nice glow yeah i who doesn't want the glow yeah glow up glow up girlfriend
this person lisa says i have a round face and i want my face to be a little bit more narrow what
surgery would help no no no no surgery don't do surgery you don't need surgery no i mean a embrace your
your round face i'm sure it's beautiful and i wish i
I had more of a round face.
You'll wish you had that round face years from now.
Say maybe you have, if you grind your teeth, you might have a wider face.
So you can actually do Botox in the jaw just to kind of slim that.
I've done that.
I grind and clench in my sleep and you put a little pokes of Botox in my jaw and it completely helped me.
One, it didn't look like I had like, you know, Johnny Bravo and his chin jaw line?
I'm like, okay, Caitlin.
but it just softened that out a little bit
and helped me from not locking my jaw in my sleep.
Right.
So it was beneficial in many ways.
Many ways.
Yeah.
Okay.
So little Botox in the jaw.
Yeah.
Maybe a little sculpting.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's get into the acne talk because that's, it was over the counter and acne are
two main things that keep coming up.
And we can look at my face right now and I've got a little bit of, I think,
hormonal acne around my mouth and what people want to know obviously what you can do for that
how to prevent it or how to help it during and I mean mine just I don't usually get bad acne
sometimes when I'm like getting close to my period I will or something but right now like I just
one one goes away and the next one pops out yeah so what can we do so our friends with acne
We're going to break it down into broad categories because it's very specific to the person.
So this is a really hard question to say just do this and it'll go away.
Right.
But there's hormonal, there's what you're eating, and then there's just your kind of general inflammatory breakouts.
So whenever you think about treating it, you want to think about a couple different things.
One, things like salicylic acid.
I talked about that earlier, like that water.
that was over the counter, get some sort of salicidlic or glycolic acid in your routine.
Secondly, you want to, if that's not working, you have to think about other thing, like
antigenics, like different things that are going to actually get into the system to help those
breakouts, and that means like spiroinolactone, birth control sometimes. So if you really are
experiencing a breakout that's not getting better, there is sometimes you have to go in an oral
medication or maybe even a little like short course of an antibiotic like a doxycycline. I had to do
that after the show. Yeah. Yeah. I was getting such bad acne. It was probably, it was probably
stress. But I had to go on. Yeah. Yeah. Doxycycline. Yeah. Sometimes you just have to do that to reset the
clock. And I'm not saying once you stop it won't come back. It can. But that's sometimes what you
have to do. Then your retinoles come in that are retinae retinone. They're all basically vitamin A
derivatives. So they all help with acne control. And again, not over the counter, but the real
deal, which is a little more expensive, but so worth it. Yeah. But I mean, like 0.25 retinol is about
$60 and will last you months. Yeah. Oh, so it lasts so long. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's the thing I
will notice about getting good skincare is it, it really does last you a long time. Right. It really does
have the fillers. Right. So it's, you have to use less of it. Yeah.
to get the results.
Yeah.
So it lasts longer.
Yeah, people.
This, I mean, I think, is there anything specific for hormonal acne?
That's where birth control comes in sometimes.
If it's really bad.
If it's cystic hormonal where it's like on the chin, you know, just really breaking out.
And sometimes you have to get your hormones checked because you might have.
That's what I was going to suggest.
Like I did, I went and got all my blood work done to check my hormones because I was wondering
if something was because I was like, am I normal?
I get chin hairs and she's like, yeah, that's called being a woman.
I was like, check my hormone levels.
I'm gross.
This surely isn't normal.
I tweeted one time.
I'm like, I never understood the term not by the hair of my chiny, chin chin until I turn 30.
I get it now.
I get it.
Yeah.
But sometimes that's a sign of PCOS.
You know, I mean, there are things that might be off.
Right.
So it's not bad to get that checked.
Okay.
Let's see what else.
Oh, a lot of people want to know if preventative Botox is a real thing will actually help prevent future wrinkles.
So the answer is yes.
I started when I was 25.
Yeah.
So everyone's different.
I've had some people who have worse lines when they're 23 than my 50-year-olds.
Yeah.
And that's hereditary, sun exposure, the whole thing.
And that was me.
I think it was hereditary from my dad.
Like I had very quite aggressive indents in my forehead.
that were wrinkled.
I was like,
is that a pack of hot dogs on my forehead?
No?
Okay.
So yeah.
Yeah.
It's like a round.
I had train tracks just went across my forehead.
And it just,
if you start early enough before they're deep at rest,
you can stop them and you can reverse them.
Yeah.
If you wait until they get too deep,
you will never reverse them.
Right.
And so preventative Botox is just a little dose.
You don't even have to get like a hefty dose,
just a little sprinkle.
Yeah, a little.
modern sprinkle.
Modern sprinkle.
Yeah.
That's it.
I really love that term.
Because every podcast or every time I talk about this stuff too, I always want to reiterate that I'm like not promoting it.
Like if you age naturally, beautiful.
I am jealous of your confidence.
Like, you know, like I just, I feel better when I have a Botox.
I just, I love it.
Like, I just love it.
But people, you don't have to love it because I do it.
I'm not saying go do it.
No.
But just to each their own.
Well, and what I always emphasize is you don't do Botox to change what you look like.
Yes.
No.
That's not our goal.
No.
Ever.
And that's why we don't want to freeze you.
We don't want someone to look at you and say, oh, my gosh, she dipped into the cookie jar.
That was real bad.
Yeah.
Even though people say that to me, just when they're mean trolls.
They're trying to find anything.
They're like, they're like, oh, she looks good four years after the show.
show. I'm going to shit on her. Right. She has earlobes. What the? Yeah. Ew. Ew. Lobes. Cover them up.
Slut. Cover up them earlobes. Sadly, that's just how it goes. I know. But yes, you're very conservative with
what you do, which I appreciate. Okay. Kelly wants to know, like, they're going to get married.
So they want to know how far in advance.
First of all, congrats.
Super cute.
But they want to know how long they should do the Botox or filler before the wedding
so that it kicks in one or that you're not bruised or, you know, stuff like that.
Well, Botox and filler is probably different in the timing, right?
Yes.
Okay.
You never want to do your first Botox appointment ever right before your wedding.
Okay.
That's just a no-no.
because we're learning your anatomy.
We're learning what we want to do to make this look natural.
So you want to get at least one treatment before, like six months before your wedding.
So then when you come in right before your wedding, we're confident.
We have your pattern nailed to your own specific anatomy, to your results.
So that's the timeline for Botox.
For filler, again, it depends what you're trying to achieve.
If you're trying to build up your lip a little bit or, you know, look at,
doing some other sculpting.
You want to do that probably, again, start about six months before, just so we can get it
to a point where you're really happy.
Right.
Skin care, you want to start a year in advance.
Oh, wow.
Really?
Well, it's like, so you can get in some microneedling treatments.
Which we did today.
Yeah.
You know, and other lines where your skin's adjusting.
So sometimes it takes six months to see results of skin care.
I'd hate to say it to people because we want instant gratification, but, you know,
it does. I don't know why I'm talking with my hands like they can see me. I'm a hand talking
too. I'm a hand talking to you. Um, but it just takes a long time to see results from good
skin care. So you want to start that a year so you can see those benefits. Oh, wow. Good thing I
started what three years ago. Maybe one day I'll get married. Hey, Jason. Maybe one day I'll get
married too. Uh, also we should talk about the microneedling because we just did that on my face
and, and maybe the benefits of that because that can help with acne scarring. Totally.
I get, that's probably one of my most common questions is acne scars and crushes me,
first of all, to hear about acne scars, but microneedling is one of the best things you can do
for acne scars.
It is just going to stimulate some new collagen and elastin, break up that fibrous tissue,
and smooth out the skin.
It's not only good for acne scars.
It's great in general just to get a nice glow to the skin, tighten and brighten the skin,
and reset the clock basically.
I call it my resetter because it's like you know you've been aging everything starts to plummet a little bit
you throw some needles in the face it stimulates some collagen elastin makes it think it's damage and there you go
tight bright iron wrinkle wrinkle ironer tight right wrinkle ironer that's is what it should be called
yeah but you have to make sure you use the right pen for microneedling because yeah there's some that aren't
FDA approved right and those are the those are the ones you don't
go near those. No. Skin pen is the only one that has been proven where their needles don't
catch. They're not damaging your skin. You're not leaving all bloody. Um, because that's everyone's
like freaks out about migrailing. They're like, oh my gosh, I'm going to look like a bloody
mess. No. And you don't have to. They think it's that Kim Kardashian like vampire facial where
the blood's everywhere and people are crying. Exactly. Where with you, you'll wake up tomorrow
morning and you're like, ah. Yeah. So for a nice and clean, clean. Yeah. And tight and bright. And
ironed ironed out. Out of all skincare products, I know we said retinol, but someone wants to know
what the holy grail is. And I think we can agree that it's SPF 50. With titanium and zinc.
Yeah. Yeah. So SPS, you're red and butter. Yeah. You have to do that because no matter what
you do, you don't walk out of the house with SPF on. You're just basically throwing away all your
money. Yeah. Because you're just damaging your skin. You know, I would drink.
lousy people.
Right.
Like when people say to you,
oh,
I don't need sunscreen
because I don't burn
does that make you
just want to...
Oh, yeah.
There's no such thing
as a healthy tan.
Yeah.
That doesn't...
The reason you are tanning
is because your body is
producing melanin to protect it.
It's like screaming.
It's like,
oh my gosh, protect me!
And it's producing brown pigment
because that stops
some of the damage,
but it's still damaging your skin.
Yeah.
So what?
sunscreen.
Sunscreen, I would go sunscreen, retinol, vitamin C and E.
Oh.
Those are like you, we talked about the core, and those are, like, that's my progression.
And, again, not over-the-counter sunscreen for the face.
Yes, but L-10D is super affordable.
Okay.
It's like $26, and they have some with haliorineg acid, so it's moisturizing sunscreen.
Okay.
They have some tints and, you know, just some bunch of different stuff.
Okay.
Right.
Well, we're going to try and drunk doll Julie.
And I think she wanted to actually ask something about laser hair removal, which, by the way, if anybody's in Nashville, I went to, I always want to say Ilan, because that was the name of a producer.
But is it Elan?
Or is it Alon?
Alon.
They did my laser hair removal, and it was freaking phenomenal.
Great.
I actually was shocked by how little it hurt, but that's because I used your numbing cream.
Can you talk about the place you're opening yet?
Yes.
Oh, you can.
Okay, great.
Well, why don't you, while I'm looking for Julie's number, tell us about your place in Nashville.
With an I.E. or no, that doesn't exist.
So, yes, I have a place in Franklin, and then I'm opening a second location in a place
called the Nations in Nashville.
And it's going to be super fun and swanky because it's this old, like, white church.
And it's going to be so excited.
I can't wait.
So yeah, I'm really excited about it.
Do you know when it's going to open?
Probably October.
All the permits for the build out, you know, all the stuff no one cares about is happening
and we're working through the process.
Oh my gosh.
That is so exciting.
Do you have a name?
Indie aesthetics.
Because it's on Indiana, but Indies also aesthetics.
I love that.
So it has like deeper meaning to that, but we don't have to go there.
But indi-aestetics is going to be super fun.
Oh, my gosh.
Very excited.
And you're going to do all of the treatments.
They're like, all of the things.
All of the things.
All of the things.
And even obviously the Botox, the filler, chemical peels, micronealing.
But also in an aesthetician world, you know, like we'll have facials and we'll have.
Are you going to do laser hair removal?
Eventually probably.
Down the road, yeah.
You know, we'll get there.
That's amazing.
Okay.
That'll be my second home.
So I'll see you there.
If anyone wants to ever come in a house.
And you're like, Caitlin, I have a bachelor party.
Can you come crash it?
I'm like, no, just meet me at indie aesthetics.
See you there.
Hello.
Hello.
Is this Julie?
Yeah.
Oh, hi.
This is a, I was going to try to say something stupid.
It's Caitlin.
Hey.
Hi.
Hi.
Is it late for you?
Am I calling you late?
Sorry.
No.
Are you sleeping?
No.
Oh, okay.
I'm sorry if I woke too.
I'm sorry.
Well, I just wanted to call you because you're on my drunk dial list and you wanted to talk about something.
So go ahead with your question.
I think you wanted to know something about laser hair removal?
Yes.
On a scale of like one, two, mother of God, I'm going to cancel my next appointment.
How bad does it hurt?
Just like a soft three.
It's really not that bad.
Just get yourself some good numbing cream.
Take a couple Advils before you go and put on a meditation app and you will be fine as one.
You'll be fine as you.
Clips my arm.
Yeah, no.
You'll be totally fine.
You've got this.
Yeah, or a bottle.
Whatever you've got to do, just do it.
And the best thing is about laser hair is that it's really quick.
Nice.
Yeah.
How many appointments are you like scheduled for?
Well, I have like thicker hair, not on my hair.
head thanks a lot god um but i it's probably going to take me about eight treatments and i'm going for
round two tomorrow oh good luck yeah thank you and good luck to you julie do it thank you yeah you could
just think about me during your during your session listen to my podcast that's what did i just make
it weird listen to my podcast while you get laser hair removal you're gonna have to save them all yep
Save them all. No, you only need five minutes. You're good. Just listen to a drunk doll.
Oh, didn't know. It's that quick. Yep. Yep. It's that quick. Well, good luck to you, and I'll be thinking about you, Julie.
Thank you. Okay, bye. Bye.
I was like, wait. Is she sleeping? Is she drunk? Is she nervous? What's happening? Sorry if I threw you off, Julie. And I know I called from a private number. So sometimes people are like, what the heck? And I think sometimes people expect to, like, talk to a producer.
I was like, okay, you're about to go on with Kaylon. I'm like, hello! And I'm super.
aggressive like
how does me
Caitlin
sorry Julie
but anyway hey if anyone
if anyone
yeah she did
if anyone ever sends in
their number for a drunk dial
if you see a private number calling you
it me
it me
is there anything we miss talking about
that you would want to go over
that you think people would really want to know
oh traditional freeze modern
oh yeah we only mentioned it like
I was like we'll get to that
The traditional freeze versus the modern sprinkle.
Okay, now people, I think sometimes just have this bad image in their head of what filler is or what Botox is and they think it's plastic surgery and they think you have to go under the knife and they think it's going to make you look fake and they think it's, you're just going to look frozen.
So what Elizabeth does, which I like to call being conservative, which we've come up with a new term called the modern sprinkle.
Yes. So freeze versus modern sprinkle. So I love this phrase. This one injector called Raina, I think her name is. She kind of started preaching this in a way that it was really, oh my gosh. It was really relatable. Relatable. So here's the breakdown. So traditional freeze is the look of being done.
So your eyebrows are touching Jesus, you're just so frozen.
You look kind of weird.
Everyone starts to look the same.
It's kind of weird, like this weird more thing.
Yeah.
You can't move your face.
You have no expression.
Gorgeous, but they all look the same.
Oh, they're sisters.
Okay.
Fair.
Fair argument.
So it's too much.
Yeah.
Like it just changes your look.
Versus, so that's the traditional phrase where you're just, you're doing too much treatment
to change that.
Now, modern sprinkle, the whole modern sprinkle is basically more of a natural look.
So you're going to be, no one's going to know what you had done.
They're just going to think you look refreshed, well rested, you know, aging backwards, which is fine.
Okay.
It's just you look good and expressive.
You're just not creating a line.
So the moderate sprinkle is taking a very soft Botox approach.
I call it kind of baby Botox
and you're just sprinkling it across
the forehead where you need it
and just create some real
nice look. It just looks like you got a good night's sleep.
Yeah. You know, who doesn't want that?
Right.
I got time for that.
You know, if you go like that, ain't it but I got time for that?
Yeah, I got time for that. Yeah. Yeah.
I got a lot of time for that.
A lot old time. So I love
that we're shifting to that. Yeah, I like
it too. And I really have noticed
somebody actually pointed out on Instagram
that they're like you're wearing less and less makeup on Instagram stories and I'm like well to be
honest one I don't do my makeup unless I'm like on and going to an event or something otherwise
I actually love not wearing makeup but two I really do feel like a more natural look is coming in
yes and that could be where you know natural doesn't have to mean like wrinkles and aging
and looking tired it can mean you got a little sprinkle of Botox or you are just wearing less
makeup and I just I noticed that actually on the last season of the bachelor on Colton season I was like wow
these girls are beautiful and they're barely wearing any makeup and I respect the hell out of it yeah
and I think a more natural look is coming in and I am down yeah even lips you're we're seeing
them go back to normal yeah like it's okay to want a little enhancement to like kind of perk up
your cup it's bow or just give you a little bit of a upper lip if you have a tiny one
one. Yeah, why not? But these big, huge, giant lips are going out. So if you don't want to be in
style with the trends, you don't want big lips. I like it. I am down. Yeah. And I would encourage
people just like going with skincare is to not be discouraged and to actually find someone who can
evaluate your skin. Yeah. And not just Google everything and go with what your, you know,
sister's boyfriend's mom is like suggesting because it's not going to work for you and if you want
you can even do sometimes you can even do phone consults like you can call me up yeah oh you can
yeah you can do consult and I can send you a skincare plan okay just uh we'll probably send some pictures
you know back and forth just talk through what you're using okay well how do people get a hold of you
then well uh I would suggest to set it up if you go on through Instagram
or the website and send like your inquiry and be like, hey, this is what's going on with my skin.
And then we can talk through the products, what you're already using and how we can incorporate
that into maybe a little bit of a different regimen if it's not really working for us.
And then we can just slowly build you into medical grade if you don't have medical grade
and then kind of see how we can transform the all skin.
Okay.
So yeah.
And your Instagram is Elizabeth.
with an S.
Smith,
P.A.
Okay,
well,
everybody go follow her.
She's always got,
I love your before and after pictures
and your little tips
and you've got a little sense of humor too,
so it's fun to follow along.
Call her up if you want a regimen,
which for some reason I like to call it a regime.
I like that so much better.
A Regina,
George.
Oh, yeah.
That was stupid.
But it's one of the best movies of all time.
You can't be stupid.
I like that.
Elizabeth Smith is my.
name and Botox is my game. I make your skin as smooth as ice and I get skunker
advice if you're going to come to me, the natural is how you leave because beauty is
an eye of the beholder by making wiser and not older.
