Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, listen up if you love a good slow burn romance, and let's be real, who doesn't? You need to check out the new Audible Original of Pride and Prejudice. It's an intimate performance that literally makes you feel like you're right there swooning with Lizzie Bennett and Mr. Darcy. Marisa Abella as Elizabeth and Harris Dickinson as Darcy, I'm obsessed. So whether it is your first time with Jane Austen or your 50th, this version is such a fresh, fun listen. Go to audible.ca slash Jane Austen to dive in. How would you like to build a deck right now with your buddy?
Starting point is 00:00:45 Because we got hammers, the whole deal. I don't know, man. It's pretty dark out. That's okay. I'll just pull my car around and point the headlights at it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you drunk up. Before we get into this episode, I need to talk about something really important, and that's getting your full serving of fruit and veggies. If you guys know what's in my glass right now, then you know how much I love grapes.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Grapes are a fruit. It's my favorite way to bring some fruit into my diet, but it's a little bit harder to work vegetables into my day and make them taste good. But with dull fruit and veggie blends, I can get my veggie fixed by enjoying a delicious smoothie made with all natural ingredients and with amazing flavors like berries and kale, Trust me, getting more vegetables, has never tasted this good. I mean, look, it's not like I won't eat any vegetables. I just never craved them like I wish I did. I have one girlfriend. She literally craves anything green.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Actually, my dad says the same thing. If they have one bad day of eating, their body craves eating healthy vegetables. I'm a little bit jealous because it's good for the bod. Not a problem with dull fruit and veggie blends. You probably know by now I am a big smoothie guy. So getting a serving of fruits and veggies just became a lot easier. Dull fruit and veggie blends are perfectly paired to create delicious smoothies like their fruit and greens, which has mangoes, bananas, apples, pineapples, and spinach,
Starting point is 00:02:09 or berries and kale, which I mentioned before, that one has strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and kale. There's also an orange medley with mangoes, mandarin oranges, pineapple, bananas, and sweet potatoes. Also, mango carrot, which has mangoes, bananas, and carrots. and, of course, tropical avocado, probably my favorite one, with kale and has bananas, pineapple, mango, avocado, and kale. Oh, so good. It's so good. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Like, usually I used to think of avocado just being on salads or like a veggie burger or something, but I love it. It adds the perfect texture into your smoothies, and it tastes so delicious. Plus, dull fruit, and veggie blends are always in season, so you never have to compromise on ingredients or flavor all that said one of my favorite benefits since i started drinking dull fruit veggie blends is cutting back on wasted produce i always remember watching jillian harris's instagram stories and she talked about how food waste is such a big problem and how we all do it and i don't know if this ever happens to you but you go to the store you get a bunch of fresh vegetables to make food
Starting point is 00:03:15 for the week and you forget all about them in the crisper drawer after you you know make your first salad i know i do that it's a waste of food and money not to mention the time it then takes to go back and forth to market every day to make sure it stays fresh. Not a problem here with my dole fruit and veggie blends. All the dole fruit and veggie blends are born to be blended. It's literally in the name. Every piece is individually frozen at peak ripeness to lock in all those nutrients and flavor. And since they're frozen, you don't have to water them down with ice.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Dull fruit and veggie blends come pre-washed, pre-cut. Seriously, no hassle. They are perfect when you're just looking to grab and go. All you have to do is fill up your blender. with one of the bags, add in some almond milk or your liquid of choice, and hit the old Blendsky button. No more guest work. You can start your day off right with delicious smoothie for breakfast while you listen to my podcast.
Starting point is 00:04:09 If you haven't tried them yet, you're really, really, really missing out, guys. Go try all the dull fruit and veggie blends now. I promise you, pinky promise, you will not regret it. And you can find them in your frozen aisle today. Happy Friday. I was trying to do a funny voice saying happy Friday and I looked at noodle and he just gave me the hardest side eye. I think I've ever received my whole career of living. This dog, you guys, this dog has the meanest side eye, but it's the cutest side eye, but it's the cutest thing you've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:04:44 I'm going to try and capture it. I'm going to try and make that his thing, his schick on the old gram, his side eye. Said nudes, hashtag side eye goals. Hello, Vinoes. And welcome to this week's episode of Drunk Dial, not by myself, because I'm with Ramen the Golden Noodle. Okay, so I tweeted, I said, what do you guys want me to talk about on this Drunk Dial episode? And I feel like everybody wants to know how the past couple weeks have been with two new men in the house. Jason and Rahman have moved in and I was kind of getting used to being in this big old house, pump my own tires, by myself.
Starting point is 00:05:24 not a big deal and I gotta say the past couple weeks have been pretty incredible I announced that Jason was officially moving in with me here in Nashville we adopted the goodest boy
Starting point is 00:05:37 in the whole world ramen and also a few weeks ago I released all three of my spade and sparrows wine for pre-order and I just want to can't say it enough thank you guys so much
Starting point is 00:05:49 for making the pre-order such a success and I cannot wait until you guys get to take your first sip. I think the orders started getting shipped yesterday. I also got to travel to Miami this past week, celebrate the upcoming premiere of Grand Hotel. I was going to record a podcast with Miss Hannah Brown, but we're going to eventually do it. I'm going to try and do it again in L.A. But we just didn't have enough time. So we just, you know, hung out for 20 minutes and and decided that
Starting point is 00:06:17 when we podcast, it's got to be good. It's got to be more than 20 minutes and not rushed, you know. we got to hear the beast roar in what she's actually feeling. So, I wanted to take this episode to talk about moving in with Jason. Had a confession on my episode with Kelty that he's seeing a whole new side to me now that we've taken the next step in our relationship, aka the fact that I still like to be spoiled with a warm towel out of the shower, which by the way, you should all try. But I will now be my own towel warmer because I'm a grown-ass woman.
Starting point is 00:06:50 and also I asked Jason for a towel warmer for my birthday, which is coming up. So anyways, obviously we're going to learn so much more about each other now that we've taken this huge step. And yeah, I don't know. I'm excited about learning more about him. I'm excited. I already love watching him with a dog. So I can only imagine what he'd be like with kids. But I thought I would answer a few questions on Twitter because, you know, I like to involve you guys in my podcast.
Starting point is 00:07:20 okay so misty thompson cook has i mean she got a little greedy on the tweet because she asked not one not two not three but four questions but then she made a really good suggestion so i will start with this misty who does the cooking right now we are uh postmates postmate horrors if that's what you want to call it i usually do all the cooking but i feel like well i mean jason can cook don't get me wrong but I love cooking so and he enjoys eating my cooking and I feel like that's how I show love in a way so it works out for everybody but postmates I honestly just feel like we've been go go go all over the place and we've been wanting to just spend time with ramen and with each other so we've just been ordering in and let me tell you that has led to some self-esteem problems for me I just feel like I'm not on
Starting point is 00:08:11 track because I'm thrown off with eating. I'm, you know, drinking, eating, not working out. I can't really take ramen to go for too long of walks because of his leg. I'm just not used to being in like a little bit of a rut, but I'm also so happy at like my heart is so happy just because I have Jason and ramen here. So it's been a little bit of a struggle because I don't know about you guys, but when I'm not doing some sort of activity. or eating healthy, I just kind of, I just feel like crap.
Starting point is 00:08:46 So anyways, that right now, turn that question into kind of a deep moment. But who's a better cook? I am 100%. He will say that too. How's potty train going? Ramen, buddy, how's potty training going? It's actually going quite well. So we put a bell on the door.
Starting point is 00:09:11 and have been holding up treats to the door so that when he has to go to the bathroom, he knows to ring the bell. And once in a while, he will ring that bell on his own and other times I have to remind him, but he's so smart. We've only had a total of four accidents in the house.
Starting point is 00:09:26 And I can't even, when did I get him on June 3rd? And it's the 14th. And two, we're in one day. And I don't think that's that bad. He's just a little angel. Ugh, I'm so lucky. and reno plans Misty wants to know if we have
Starting point is 00:09:45 Reno plans for the house yes 1,000% can't wait we are knocking my gross ugly dated brown shit kitchen we're knocking it out gutting it redoing it all it stands out like a sore thumb
Starting point is 00:09:59 in this house because everything's so white and I call it like Nashville farmhouse vibes I have a really big cactus that looks like a penis like a lug penis. Do I need to get over that joke? I won't.
Starting point is 00:10:14 And so I'm going to, yeah, knock out the kitchen, redo it. It's going to be absolutely gorgeous. I'm working with Jessica McCarthy, who has helped me with this whole house. She is an absolute dream to work with. Even though she's in San Francisco, we talk all the time and work online together with what we want the house to be. We're doing a whole Moroccan Zen room upstairs. Jason's going to redo an office.
Starting point is 00:10:38 We're going to make a little movie theater wine. room and I just genuinely can't wait to share that process with you guys because this house is so important to me and I just take so much pride in owning this home and and can't wait to just continue to kind of make it ours and and do do things that I want to do with it. Super excited. So thanks, Misty. And now she said, you need to come up with doggy attire, bows, ties, collars, etc. I'm like, what a great thing to add to do. So let me know if you I think that's a great idea. Do do do? Oh my gosh. Yes, honey. Becky Hensley Habig wants to know thoughts on the Jay Hill lipstick drama. What's Jay Hill? I know that
Starting point is 00:11:24 ramen noodle has some lipstick drama going on. Who's Jay Hill? Am I missing out here? Am I not up with the kids? I'm going to Google that later. Jennifer Haber, Life is a family of three with ramen and would love if we did a podcast talking about favorite things to do in Nashville and best places to eat there and stuff like that. But I do believe I have some stuff on my blog, Caitlin Brousseau.com, if you guys want to go check that out if you're ever going to Nashville. I think I still have things up there for what to do in Nashville. Let me know. Life is Family of Three. Yeah, I'm just, I just feel like the luckiest, luckiest lady in all of the land. Ooh, that kind of sounded like Game of Thrones, which I'm on season three, episode
Starting point is 00:12:07 one don't at me any spoilers uh Liz Mills love the last podcast with you and Jason you guys are hilarious can you please get drunk with Joe tonight if he's still in town grocery store Joe it took me so long to just I was like who's Joe grocery store Joe right um I don't know if he'll ever just be called Joe again but I've never met him I feel like it'd be weird to not have Jason here and Kendall's out of town and be like Joe you want to go get drunk with just me yeah it's crossing a lie, bruh.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Oh, Maddie, she wants to say how happy she is for me and Jason and that it's refreshing to see good people end up together and happy. That is very, very sweet, and I appreciate you. And I mean, everybody's just so excited about the wine and I really just freaking love you guys.
Starting point is 00:12:54 I really freaking love you guys. I hope everyone knows that. Should I spend more time on the Facebook group? Sometimes I get scared to go in there because I'm like, what if everyone's like, ew, did you see you? the way she talked to Karen. Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Team Karen. Who, by the way, we should probably call because here's the, here's the sitch. Okay. I have this funny thing where I've been bullied online by some Karen's. And I know I kind of open up a can of worms when I retweet bullies because then all my followers go after that and the bullying just gets doubled. And I don't like that. And I know I've said it before on my podcast that if any time, I retweet a bully if we could all just send them love, that would be even better.
Starting point is 00:13:41 And I need to really be careful about when I get sassy and when Hurricane Katrina comes out, which is my little saucy mama that I hide deep down in my soul. But I make this joke that there's a lot of Karens out there. Karen's and like the Susan's that bully online because I have truly seen a lot of them. But, you know, there are some really great Karens out there. and I've definitely heard from all of them any time I have something negative to say about Karen's. Anyhow, Karen said something. This Karen woman said something on Twitter where I thought she was chirping me and I was in a mood where I just read so many mean tweets in a row that I was like,
Starting point is 00:14:23 and I was probably on my Karen. I'm sorry, my period. And I just had a little clapback moment where I regret. it was wrong but all i said was hi karen because her name was karen and i thought she was making fun of me so he said hi karen and that turned into a lot of hate going karen's way and karen ended up being a very big supporter of off the vine of do edit scrunchies um she probably is one of my number one customers and i felt like the biggest dick in the whole world and it serves me right and i was wrong and i will admit that. I, uh, this, these are times where I have to think twice and be like, you know what,
Starting point is 00:15:10 this is why you don't clap back. And I hated the amount of negativity it started. And I just want to, I mean, apologize to Karen, but maybe over the phone. And I just, you know, it's, we can talk it out. And we've, we, she was so mature about it. I feel like we handled it, like two classy women who just wanted to be like, you know, shit happens. I forgive you. Still a fan. Still like you. You still give Karen's a good name. So let's call Karen. Come on, Karen. Hello. Oh, Karen. Oh, Karen. Karen? Yes. Oh, my gosh. Did you ignore me the last one? It's Caitlin. Oh, my freaking God. Yes, I did because it said no caller ID. Holy shit. Well, yeah, I'm not going to call you from
Starting point is 00:16:01 my real number. Oh, duh. Duh. Karen, I was just going on a little rant about how big of a dick I was on Twitter and how you ended up being such a sweet supporter and how we worked through it. And I was like, I just have to talk to her over the phone because you are the sweetest. Oh, well, you're the sweetest. Well, I'm glad we worked everything out.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I feel like, do you have any questions? Do you want to talk about anything? Like, what you got going on? Oh, my God. I don't even know. I'm on the spot. I know. I'm sorry. I'm totally putting you on the spot. Let's see. Can I say hi to someone?
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah, of course. Okay, so our little scrunchy game has come up with this group called the Fab Five, and they're like, the greatest girls I've ever met that I've never actually met. And I feel like that's thanks to you and the community that you will. Oh, I love that. The Fab Five? Yes. This is amazing. Wait. Okay, I have your address from my family. before. I'm going to send the Fab Five scrunchies. Oh my God. That would be amazing. That's so cool. And you guys have never met. Are you guys
Starting point is 00:17:08 all in different cities? We are. We're actually in, there's two in Texas. I'm in Minnesota. One's in New York and one's in Kentucky. Oh my gosh. Well, you guys need to like plan a meetup in Nashville. That would be amazing. And then if you do. You would have to come meet up. Yes. If you guys do, then we can all do a group Fab Six podcast. heck yes let's do it um you were like oh can i say hi to somebody it made me think of the prices right you know when they do the prices right and they're like spinning the wheel and they're like so anything you want to say and they're like can i say hi to somebody that was perfect well i grew up on that show i guess it was just a came natural that's so funny um also i feel
Starting point is 00:17:51 like you sent me a tweet i think i saw it in my email about you wanted two colors of scrunchies which one were they yes um the grape and the carry Okay, I don't, I know for a fact we don't have any of the carries left, but I'm going to like search my scrunchy stash. I have a whole drawer and see if I have maybe one left, but we'll try and get, we'll try and get them out to you if we can. But if we can't, it's because they're, they don't exist anymore. For sure. That would be so cool. You're the best.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Well, you're the best. And I wanted to just take this phone call to say that I totally from the bottom of my heart, apologize for being a little bitch. And thank you for handling it like a classy lady. Oh, well, you are the queen And I appreciate you I'm so glad we talk this out And you guys plan a little trip to Nashville And we'll do a podcast
Starting point is 00:18:40 Sounds good Okay, sounds good, Karen. Bye. Bye. Angel Freaking angel I could see you. Hello, hello, hello.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Don't judge me on that voice. That wasn't my best. Nobody can nail the beyond. say okay well that just felt really good okay i encourage all women out there to settle arguments like that one look now we're gonna i mean there are some i get it you can't do that but let me tell you there is one person in my bad books in all of the land and i've said that twice this podcast that's so weird there's one person and hell no i'm not going to name a name one person in the world where i just i can't mend a broken fence i can't get past something who is a dear friend and i just
Starting point is 00:19:30 I just can't get past it. And you know what? That's okay too. But I'm happy I just solve that. Anyways. Karen. Jam. Okay, let's just get back to a couple more questions.
Starting point is 00:19:45 I also want to say, guys, I just watched the episode of Bachelorette that comes out on Monday. Buckle up. It's going to be a doozy. And that's all I can say because otherwise I will never get the episode sent to me early but um it's so funny just watching you know like it's interesting how times have changed
Starting point is 00:20:07 since since you know obviously whenever i was on the show and i it's for the better and i like it but i just remember you know trying to be stand up for myself and say things that was all that were on my mind and i was told i couldn't and i just love that hannah's able to be like look no this is how i feel y'all are pissing me off blah blah blah it's so great because I wanted to do that too, but I just love that they're allowing her to be herself and just be a strong, independent, saucy little, little mama because I must be nice. I mean, I still got to be a little bit, but I just feel like they, they kind of put you in a bubble over the years as a woman to be the all American girl next door and not talk about sex and not, you know, stand up for yourself and not just send guys home and, And I just really, really appreciate that they're allowing this and that they're allowing strong women to have their voice and do what they want to do.
Starting point is 00:21:08 So it's all on that. Enjoy Monday. I'm just going to do a few more questions. Brew, Brou. I like that name. Brew. Brou brou wants to know, would you rather have every song you heard turn into a Justin Bieber song? Or have every movie you've ever watched turn into a Shrek movie?
Starting point is 00:21:28 Duh, Beaver. I'm obsessed with Beaver's music. I love Beaver. And if every... No, because then I think the song's like The Beatles. And I'm like, yeah, you can't ruin that. The classics. That's a tough question.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Yeah, I'm still going with Beaver. But I like the name Brew. And I'm about to show you why. Okay, I used to watch this YouTube video probably 10 years ago and think it was so funny. And I used to talk to all my friends like this. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, I'm beached, bro.
Starting point is 00:22:06 I'm beached ears. Hey, boo. Oh, hey, brew. What are you doing, boo? Wow, I'm just realizing now how terrible that is. Why did I think this was so funny? My humor has really developed over the years and matured a little, maybe? What?
Starting point is 00:22:22 I'm like, oh, this is going to be so funny. No? Okay, cool, cool. Good talk. back to the questions and let's pretend that didn't happen Alicia Ellers says Who was your biggest celebrity crush growing up and why
Starting point is 00:22:39 Well you know what funny story It was Andrew Keegan and Jonathan Taylor Thomas And Andrew Keegan looks like Jason enough's it Katie Hasland says How did being the bachelor's change you Well, it made me go through one of the hardest times of my life and then come out of it and grow and mature. And I believe it made me more humble, if anything. Some people maybe go on the show and come off and just, I don't know if they consider,
Starting point is 00:23:13 I shouldn't say they consider themselves a celebrity, some do. But I just feel like it made me want to get closer to my family and friends and appreciate all the other relationships in my life that I had from the beginning. So I feel like it just, everything, even though I went through really hard times, everything changed me for the better. Oh, that's kind of nice. And let's pick one more. Sarah Tucker. Hey, I used to dance with Sarah Tucker.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Probably not the same one. Is asking for tips for showing a guy that you're interested without being too obvious. See, I'm all about being too obvious. I'm like, just tell him. if he doesn't like you then you'll find out quickly you know and just be like i'm into you what's up you feel the same way or nah oh boy you guys i hope you have such a good weekend uh i hope you enjoy these little quicky drunk dials on that note i was just on the lady gang's quickie episode and it was super fun they are hilarious and yeah happy friday
Starting point is 00:24:19 god i used to you know what in my first few podcasts i used to hate when people wrote emails and said happy friday or happy monday and now i just said it and you know what i take it back have a good weekup this week's drunk dial is sponsored by dole crafted smoothie blends find them now in your frozen denial.
