Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads Sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.
Podcast One presents Off the Vine Drunk Dial.
It's all about dialing digits and making questionable decisions.
Let's get it started.
Okay, this is that work.
I need to get those things.
All right, Vinos, welcome to Friday.
Happy Drunk Dial.
Today is a very special episode of Drunk Dial featuring T.I., the rap legend, yes, T.I, myself, and, you know, our favorite co-host, Lowe von Rumpf.
I can't do without him saying it.
But please, without further ado, let the podcast begin.
Okay, I'll stop.
All right.
I have a question.
Why aren't we more open about periods?
I know I've talked about this before.
I definitely don't stray away from the topic on this podcast.
I mean, how could I?
It's part of my life, so I'm going to talk about it.
Thanks is period-proof underwear that absorbs your flow up to 4.10.
tampons worth, okay? So here's how they work. Your period goes in, no leaks or stains or
smells come out, and you stay fresh, dry, and comfortable throughout your cycle. You can use
things to back up or even replace tampons, pads, cups, anything else you're using today. They
look and feel just like everyday normal pair of underwear. They're washable, reusable. You
could feel good about switching to a more sustainable period too. Thanks is on a mission to empower
everybody with innovative solutions and social change.
Every purchase gives back to their Give Rise program where they are fighting for better access
to puberty education, menstrual equality, and more.
And I think that's pretty cool.
I'm not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about trying this while on my period because
I'm so used to wearing just tampons, but I'm telling you guys, things has really changed
that time of the month for me.
I was getting really nervous about using tampons too.
I usually wear a pair with tampons, but towards the end of the period, I go 100%
and things. And I have to say, I think it's really important for us to start being more open
and honest about our periods and more environmentally friendly. So give it a try. Let me know what you
thinks. Got it? To learn more about things underwear that absorbs your period, visit periodbetter.com

groundbreaking artists and entrepreneur who is the winner of three Grammys, 11 Billboard Awards,
three BET Awards, American Music Awards, and many, many more.
He's sold millions of albums and more than 35 million singles throughout his career.
He's collaborated with artists including Drake, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z.
Don't know if this is ringing a bell for anybody.
You guys heard of those names before.
Justine with you.
You can now listen to him every week on his new podcast.
What is it called?
Expeditiously.
Oh, I like to hear you say it.
Where he discusses important social issues and speaks out on the causes that matter
to him. Please welcome to the podcast.
T.I. Also, Lowe,
my co-host. Hey. That shit sounds so
important when you say it back to back
like that. Right? That's my favorite thing.
Things I've never considered in my
real life. T.I. And then be
like, and Lowe.
Hey, man. That just is important.
Thanks. I'll take it. It takes a good.
He adds so much value to my podcast.
So I'm very happy to have both here.
Right. He does.
All right. Cheers to you guys.
Also, well, let me take a sip of this first because this is good tequila.
Your real name is Tip?
My real name is Clifford Joseph Harris.
Oh.
Yeah.
That's my father's name.
Okay.
So what made you go for Ti?
Is this one of those questions you always get asked?
My dad actually started calling me Tip, I believe, after his father.
Okay.
I think his father's name was Tip.
They called them tip.
Yeah.
So that's what he started to call me.
Yeah.
Now, as I entered into the game as a professional artist, I came into the, you know,
association of Q-tips from a tribe called Quest.
We were on the same label.
Yeah.
And L.A. Reed at the time thought it was too much confusion.
Yeah.
Two tips.
I guess the world wasn't big enough for two tips on one label.
Got it.
I had to change my name.
and I called myself TIA ever since.
I like it.
I know.
Yeah, I like it.
Also, yes, the sweater that you're wearing is your podcast.
And then I'm like, why the fuck do I not have merch?
You know what?
We should have been wearing them.
On the way?
On the way.
Now I put it out there.
My producer hasn't noted.
Expeditiously.com get all of your.
Can I have, can I get one of those hoodies?
How do I get one?
Absolutely.
I get you one.
Really?
Yeah.
Because it's a great color.
Well, thank you.
And it's cool.
I like, oh, look, is he running the same one?
Well, he has a different one, but the same color.
Yeah.
No, I'm super into it.
What made you want to start a podcast?
I feel like you're a kind of guy that has a lot to say.
To be honest, it never crossed my mind.
Yeah.
Someone from Podcast 1 contacted us and said, hey, guys, have you ever thought about doing a podcast?
You're like, no, but now I am.
No, but I'm listening.
Were you a fan?
Were you a fan of podcasts beforehand?
I mean, no.
Yeah, I wasn't either.
I was like breakfast club.
Oh, I love the breakfast club.
You know what I hadn't, I don't really, like, I don't listen to podcasts.
I didn't either.
It doesn't mean, yeah.
But I do recognize all of the great information and how magnificent of a platform it is.
Yes.
For someone who's outspoken and opinionated.
Yeah, because people want to hear what you have to say.
Well, thank you.
You are an opinionated person.
You have a lot to say.
You're a passionate.
human being and that's what the podcast world needs absolutely so you're yes the kind of dialogue that
can usher about some form of change i totally agree tough discussion especially right now
shit is so yeah and nobody wants to have the tough conversations to be honest with you everything's
going to be fine yeah okay i'm so glad you said that what the f*** goes on everything's going to be
fine you really believe that i really do okay i like that it does that involve
like staying in the United States?
Are you talking about, like, maybe moving to Canada?
Whatever it takes.
Okay.
Whatever it takes.
Whatever it takes.
But we're going to be fine.
I love it.
We were talking before this just to, just to circle back and finish this conversation
about what we think you would have been like in high school.
Yes.
And this is what I need to hear about.
Yeah, yeah.
I want to know what you.
I think he was like the guy that was friends with everybody.
Like that guy that was like, well, no, definitely not friends of him.
Emily had a crew.
Yeah, that was pretty exclusive.
I was just like the guy who already knew what I wanted to do.
Oh, you, I was going to ask, okay.
I moved, like, I knew, you know, the purpose of being here.
Yeah.
I knew I was selling drugs until I found a way to make it as an entertainer.
Yeah.
And you knew early on, like.
Absolutely.
So, like, from what age?
Because I feel, were you one of those?
Do you have the, oh, my gosh, can we do like a Netflix documentary on you?
Absolutely.
And you have, like, the videos from when you were young and already talented.
I don't think I have many videos.
Oh, well, we can still do a documentary.
I didn't take a lot.
I don't have a lot.
Well, you do have a lot.
The first-hand experiences are great.
Yeah.
It's like, the pastor that, like, you know, stuff like that.
Right.
People are in the pastors.
There's not many pastors in the story.
No, you know what I'm saying?
You know, maybe a couple here and there, but, you know.
Yeah, I just, I, first of all, I can't wait to start listening.
your podcast. It might be one of the only ones I do listen to because I keep hearing about
that you just are passionate about so many things like politics or, you know, the things that
people are afraid to talk about. I mean, what are you afraid of? Well, I think a lot of,
I think a lot of, I think people are afraid of other people's reactions and that's the way to
live. That's why I want to listen to your podcast. Nobody gives a fucking. Everybody's just
blurting their opinions. I know.
There is no right or wrong.
We just have perspective.
But when can we all just look at it that way?
How come, you know, like...
As we continue to have dialogue and healthy discussion.
So do you think we're shifting and moving in the right direction?
Absolutely.
If I'm going to doing the driving...
Yes.
How many episodes have you done?
Man, I've lost count.
Oh, so...
Maybe like eight.
Who's your favorite guest so far?
Me and Killer Mike was very...
It was dope.
Yeah.
It was dope.
However, me and L.L.
And Ice Cube was also.
Ice Cube.
You had Nick Cannon on, too.
Nick Cannon was a dope one, yeah.
And are those, um, are they all people that are willing to get there to with the conversation?
Sure.
Okay.
So that's what, when people listen, they can expect to hear you guys get into deep conversation.
I mean, you know, we're going to talk about the shit that is important to us.
Yeah, I love that.
I don't know how much it means to everybody else, but the shit is, you know what I'm saying?
Seemingly important to us.
know what? I talk about a lot of bullshit on this podcast and sometimes I'm like, that's your
bullshit. Yeah, exactly. And I, you have every right to talk about it. Right. And people listen
because sometimes I want to listen to someone else's bullshit. Exactly. To escape my own.
Yeah, to escape my own at the moment. And you started a movement called Us or Else. Can you please talk
about that? Us or Else is basically a social revolution where we unite.
as fair and decent people, not about black and white, not about Republican and Democrat,
just fair and decent people who all believe that people should be judged by the actions and
deeds, not the color of their skin.
Of course.
And the matters that affect us, we just need a way to kind of get that information out
to everyone.
So I just kind of created a hashtag us or else.
And it has developed itself into other things.
Like what?
Well, we'll talk about that later.
We'll get into that later.
Much later.
And you've also been married nine years.
Is that right?
Yes, but together for...
18.
20.
Wow.
First of all, that's...
I don't know why we praise so much for that
because it's like so unheard of these days,
but that is really is like...
It's...
It shows your loyalty and your dedication and your passion and...
Yes.
And you have kids.
Seven.
Seven kids.
So what, how do you do it all?
I mean, we do it.
You really do, like, together.
Yeah.
So you think of yourself as like a team.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
And that's why you probably, that's why you've lasted that long.
Everyone has their duties and responsibilities.
Everybody has their talents, their visions.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So to make this shit work, it really takes a village.
And are your kids, like, super artistic and into the music?
Absolutely.
Yeah?
My son, DeMani, is on tour right now with a big critic.
What?
Yeah.
My daughter, she's releasing another EP, my youngest son.
Wow.
My 15-year-old son, King, he's also doing music.
Wow.
Yeah.
Did other people in your family?
He's really, he goes to school and play video games.
He just stays out the way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, because you have seven.
They're all going to be different in some ways.
But when you grew up, like, did your family, were they very involved in music?
Not at all.
No, really?
No one in my family was ever in music before me.
But I'm assuming you had heavy musical, like, influence, right?
I mean, I loved it.
I absorbed the culture.
Yeah.
I lived it.
You know what I mean?
Who is your favorite?
Two pop.
Yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
That's awesome.
But it was so many people who, you know, contributed to my growth.
As I came of age as an adult, I was learning this new music, this new art form that was forming its way into a culture, into so many areas of industry that, you know, this shit all just happened at the right time.
Yeah.
I'm a part of something phenomenal.
You really are.
And you've had a great career out of it, too.
Like you, you've always just been good at what you do.
And you recently spoke out after going to Kanye's Sunday service with your wife.
Mm-hmm.
What happened?
Man, well, first of all, Kanye's Sunday service was great.
Yeah.
It was great.
It was inspirational.
It was genuine, soulful.
Was that your first one you had gone to?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was actually our first time seeing each other since we, you know what I'm saying?
Kind of fell out about his White House visit.
Yeah.
But he seemed in a much better headspace and felt great to see him so focused and so, like, genuinely, just ready to do whatever it is that he said I had to do for himself.
You know what I mean?
With such clear vision.
Yes.
So much perspective.
Yeah.
Whereas the last time I saw him, it was kind of like, he didn't know what the fuck he was doing.
He was just, like, just doing a bunch of shit.
Right, right.
It was no real methodical, like, master.
I feel like when you have a brain like his.
You know, you either go...
You can afford to have some very deep misses
before you bring all this shit back with, you know, the greatest shit ever.
Yes, you're so right.
So you went to a Sunday service and it was...
Does he do this every Sunday?
I believe he does.
Oh, really?
I believe he does.
Does he tour with it?
I mean, he does.
He takes it on the road.
Yeah, I think he did one in Chicago.
Okay.
Atlanta, of course, in California.
He did that big one for his album, which was, I think,
in Montana?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're going to take a quick break because we all know how important it is to eat healthy,
but even though we all know that we should be eating well,
sometimes it's hard to know what exactly we should be eating.
I know I try at least most of the time to eat well,
but the reality is nine out of ten people don't eat enough fruits and veggies.
Your super is on a mission to improve people's health with the power of super plants.

pump your tires for a second because you've
won a shit ton of awards. Like
you've obviously won so many awards
you, over the years, you've released
10 albums to date, is that right?
This is true. And do you have an
award? Not counting mixtapes, but...
Oh. Okay. Okay. Yeah, well, I'm glad you said
that because, God, I mean, if we're
going to say it, say it all.
I mean, since we're saying it.
Yeah, exactly.
We went through the treble
saying something. Don't leave anything else. Don't leave anything else.
Exclamation point.
Exclamation point. Do you have an award
or album that you're most proud of or that sticks with you the most?
No.
Just all of them.
No. I mean, all of them are a culmination of experiences
and revelations as I grew from where I was
to where I am there as a man.
So it all has a significant importance.
Yeah.
It's a time and a place in my life, no matter what song you're talking about.
So they're all important to me.
I like that.
I was hoping you'd say that actually.
It was a trick question.
I tested you and you passed.
There are no wrong answers.
And you're the founding executive of Grand Hustle Recordings, which has produced breakout artists such as Iggy Azalia and Travis Scott.
Casual.
Yeah, super casual.
That's amazing.
Also, B.O.B. Young Drove.
Oh, wow.
So many others tonight.
That's amazing.
Absolutely.
Do you love being on that side of it?
It's the easiest thing for me to do.
Really?
It comes naturally to you?
Because you've been through it.
I've been doing this shit since I was a teenager, even before that.
Because I was a 10-year-old trying to figure out how to get in this game that I'm now effectively playing in.
So at this point, this is the easiest thing for me to do, to show up, make dope records, and put shit out.
Okay.
but is it calling on all of my talents?
Yeah.
I'm leaving a lot of shit on the table if I only focus on doing music.
Right.
So I feel like things like the podcast, my clothing lines.
Yeah, that's what's cool, is that you have, you know, we all know you for music.
Real estate developments.
Wow.
And so you're just, yeah, okay, that's why you're an entrepreneur.
It's a culmination, an amoeba of talent, if you will.
Yeah.
Quite the anomaly.
I guess you could say you're crushing life.
It's rich.
richer than some not as rich as others you know what I'm saying
right there in the middle of not so bad to doing pretty good
I see the tequila we're drinking I've got to have guests on like you more often
you know what I'm saying I'm like I brought my spade and sparrow's wine
I'm used to like Nestle water you know
The tequila is so good
I'm sure you guys can afford some tequila whenever you want something
Yeah you know what we're not we're not struggling
You did it was man
Come on, man.
Knock it off.
Well.
Think I don't know when I do?
Yes.
Yeah, all right.
Okay, I'm rich.
You ain't never seen a bad day in your life, honey.
My favorite thing in the world is when, like, trolls on the Internet or something says, like, get a job.
And I'm like, oh, if you only knew.
You know, like, everyone just thinks I'm actually just on Instagram, like, not making money or doing, you know?
Next time someone tells you to get a job, tell them, provide one.
Oh.
Provide a job for someone.
How many jobs do you provide?
Do you ever clap back to haters or do you just ignore a shit out of them?
I used to.
You're over it now.
Like 50 cents style.
What?
I mean, he'll definitely come.
Oh, he does?
Oh, yeah.
I feel like, you know, now I have, you know, a platform like the podcast.
Yeah.
Exquisitely to kind of like, just say whatever I want.
Right.
And the nice thing about podcasting, too, is.
I feel like Instagram comments is such a small platform.
Exactly.
It's such like, you know, compartmentalized perspective of,
a discussion you never know at what point of the discussion this comment occurred you know what
mean so it's just a comment that has very little to no reference to the discussion at all
you're just kind of judging it on face value and i feel like when people tune into your to your
podcast they actually want to hear what you have to say they're not haters tuning in to hear you
for 45 minutes people tune in to learn something they didn't know uh-huh test something they thought
they knew or prove me wrong at something
I'm saying that I know. You know what I'm saying? And are you good at admitting
if you're wrong? Absolutely. That's something I need to work on. The best thing
anyone can know is what they don't know.
God, you were wise. I love
little wisdom. Yeah, like you keep dropping little lines of wisdom where I'm like,
can you write that down for me actually? Like open my notes. I'm sure we're recording it.
Oh, right. So I can play it back.
I do that all the time.
I'm like, man, how am I going to remember this?
Oh, yeah, it's a podcast we're recording.
Now, were you prepared to come on this podcast and confess to me?
Confess what?
Whatever you want.
I have no confession.
None.
Everyone has a little.
How about this?
Maybe it's not something that you have to confess.
It's just something.
Something about you.
Between me and the Lord, we don't dealt with it.
It ain't nobody else's business.
Now I'm dying now.
Now I need to know.
But every, it's part of the.
None to confess.
Off the Vine has a confession segment.
It can be something as silly as you, I don't know, what's something that you just told?
Oh, mine was.
Oh, yeah, yours was crazy.
I mean, anything that you just feel like you want to just get off your chest to me, nothing.
You're an open book.
Absolutely.
So if people want to hear your confessions, they can just tune into your podcast and you'll hear everything about.
I mean, they can hear my testimony.
If you find a confession or two and there, then, you know.
Okay.
added benefit when you leave this world what do you want your legacy to be well really i just
all i really give a shit about is being my daughter's first love and my son's first hero
oh i love that yep i love that the rest of that shit you know it's great too is that you're like
this insane musician and rapper and you've just got so much going on and you're an entrepreneur
and you've got all this all this stuff going on but you're you're you're you're
main, your priority is your kids
and I love that. I mean, my
priorities is family.
Yeah, I love that. Are you guys here in
L.A.? We're everywhere.
Everywhere.
Like, we got houses everywhere.
It's an expensive operation.
But it makes you happy.
We got satellite locations.
You know what I mean? Do you have a
jet? Do you have
access to one whenever I want? Why?
I want one.
Well, I give you something. I
tell you, whatever it is, you were set
to paying taxes instead of taking
that money and giving it to the
IRS, you could
budget. Oh, so like...
It's a dollar for dollar right off. One of the
few benefits of
the present administration
but I'm sorry. I'm not going to
complain about it. So you think I
shouldn't pay my taxes and I should get a jet
set? I'm telling you, no, listen, look,
I'm telling you. Caitlin goes to jail.
And you of paying
these taxes, there is a dollar
for dollar tax
write off
for private
jets.
Yeah.
Look it up.
I'm gonna
look it up.
You know what?
I believe you.
Dollar right off.
I'm good.
So all the money
that you owe in taxes.
Yeah.
If you say I don't want to pay
to the IRS, I want to buy
a jet and write all that shit
off. You can.
Damn.
Can you be our
president?
This is the best.
benefit of the president administration.
I'm just telling you what the
legislation's been passed for you.
T.I. for president, 2020.
I don't want that shit, no.
Thank you.
What is it? Dream of owning a plane?
This tax break can help.
Oh, it's on the internet.
We'll do a swipe-up link on Instagram.
Y'all motherfuck
closer to getting the plane than you thought.
Shit.
I just might own a few.
I am going to.
Here I am.
No more southwest for me.
You digger what I am?
I'm like, why I'm getting a little Cessna?
You know what I mean
I'm into it
I'm into it
I'm into it
I'm into it
I've never felt more seen before
thank you to you
we hear you
we hear you
we're going to play one game
before we leave
I don't play me in the game
but I don't you know
it's not really a game
I welcome you to enjoy yourself trying
well it's not a game
it's basically me asking you questions
and you answering them
okay I'll go for that
do you prefer text or calls
calls
Do you prefer mountains or ocean?
Ocean.
Beer or wine, tequila?
I guess wine.
Okay, good. I'm going to make you take a sip of my wine.
Comedy or horror?
Comedy.
Money or fame?
Neither. Existence.
Deep.
TV or movies?
You hate this game.
Difficult.
Don't put that in the atmosphere.
He likes that.
He's like that.
He's like that.
In the sense of my latest, like, binge, like, craving to watch different television, kind of.
You watch Handmead Sale?
I started.
I didn't finish it yet.
It's hard.
It's heavy as shit.
Yeah.
But it's so well done.
So well.
I need a weird.
Are you kidding?
This shit is deep.
Well, it started with this or that TV.
I'm telling you.
Instagram or Twitter.
Oh, gee.
Oh, who's here?
It's Master P.
Oh, shit.
Master P.
Dang.
True visionary, pioneer of the self-made mogul millionaire.
Oh, wow.
And you're podcasting with him next, so we need to get the f*** out of this room, is what you're saying.
I mean.
He's like, I'm not saying.
I mean, texting security.
Whenever you can, but kind of hurry up.
Okay.
Well, the good news is we are done.
No hurry.
No, no, no, no.
But expeditions.
No, no hurry, but Master P is in the house, Caitlin, okay?
That's the classiest way I've ever been kicked out.
