Starting point is 00:02:23 Hi. Hi. So this grape therapy is brought to you by Spade and Sparrows and The Bachelorette. And we recap first episode, Night 1. Yeah, we break it down. I mean, we talk about things we miss, like we miss the hometowns. We were. We miss the mansion.
Starting point is 00:02:40 We miss the mansion. We miss rooting for people because we don't know if she just picks one guy and leave. So we're like, do we even want to get attached to any of these guys? We really drill down into the spoilers that are out there to say, are they legit and not only that but like I think what do we think about it like is that fair what people are saying is Claire's dog the cutest guy of the season did he should he have won the first impression rose yeah I think so I think so too but we break down all the rumors and everything that we saw on night one even if you're not watching the show you can get a lot of information here and it's highly
Starting point is 00:03:17 entertaining so enjoy got a spooky question for you how do you banish high rates on car insurance. You switch to GEICO during GEICO ween. Happy GEICO ween, everyone. Okay. Happy Thursday. Today, everybody, I hope this podcast finds you well. You know, people send emails like, happy Monday.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I hope this email finds you well. To whom it may concern. Happy Monday. This email did not find you well. Why? So stupid. I hate it. When people do that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:12 You hate formalities of any sort. That's a great point. Like, I guarantee you, without even knowing, when someone signs off on a letter like yours truly or regards, you probably, you probably. you hate it. Because it's not authentic. It's not genuine. So how do you say? Well, it's also a tradition, right? Like, that's how they were written back and so like, how would you say? No, no. Oh my gosh. The same thing. What do you say? Like, yeah, Caitlin? You've already swore twice and it's been 47 seconds. That's because we just did an e-news takeover
Starting point is 00:04:42 and we couldn't swear once. You're holding it all out. I know. Wait, no. Seriously, though, how do you sign, how do you sign a letter off? Peace out. No, you don't. Peace be with you, bro. Do you really? No. I say, Caitlin. You just do like dashed Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I'm also very short and awful in emails like Cleo can probably tell you. She'll be like, good morning, beans. I hope you had such a great weekend. It's Monday. I just wanted to follow up on a few things. She's the queen of bread before the meat. Oh my gosh. And we're in New York.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It's all meat. You would think I'm a New Yorker in my emails. I literally write back and I go, okay, thanks. And then I feel bad because I'm like, on text, I'm like, I love you, blah, blah, blah. It's just emails to me. I don't like emails too formal for me. We're getting way off subject. But I think emails will actually be gone in our lifetime.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I think they're too inefficient. I'm not getting into the future right now. I just can't go there. Yeah, we'll go out of the dark and twisties if I do that. Okay. What we're here to talk about is how we got some clarification. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:47 I was, that was part of it. I was going to say enough with the puns. You're not one for a cheeseball comment. I love puns. You do love fun. That's a pun. But anyways, the premiere of The Bachelorette starring Claire, I thought she looked beautiful. Something we've all been very patiently waiting for during the pandemic.
Starting point is 00:06:04 And now it's finally back on Tuesdays. On Tuesday. Dancing with the stars. On a Tuesday. Take over the Monday spot. But still, this is the first season in a long time where we feel very excited and like comforted by a season. I feel comforted. Speak for yourself.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Oh, I thought you said that it did. beginning no i don't say i think oh comforted by a season yeah yes yeah we haven't seen think about it the premiere for pilot pete season was in january it is now october so we went 10 months in the off season yeah i don't know if it's because it hasn't been on for a long time or if it's because a night to totally disconnect and that we haven't just you know it was exciting to be back on though like just to have it on and like see everyone hyped up about it it's exciting i think and like You said, Claire looked absolutely beautiful. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:06:54 She was great. So let's get into it. What did you think if you had to rate the premiere on a scale of one to ten? If you were Carrie Ann, if you were Derek, if you were Bruno, don't be Bruno. I don't have the energy. Can I be Bruno, please? I'm obsessed with him. He's my favorite.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Can I be Bruno? Sure. Okay. On a scale of one to ten, give your judge's score for this premiere. Honey, honey. It was one of the things were out. In the beginning, I was like, this is great. This is great.
Starting point is 00:07:21 But then in the middle I was like, I'm sleepy, I'm sleepy. But at the end, I almost fell asleep. And towards the end, they hooked me a rate backed in with the trailer. And that's what I love about this show. Wow. They hooked you back in. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And for that reason, I will give them a 7.5. No, only a 7 or 8. Which, by the way, that's something dance with the stars needs. A 0.5. They need the 0.5s. They need decimals. I like the crisp number. But then someone gets a 10.
Starting point is 00:07:50 It's like, okay, you get a 10 week four. I can't pass this. That was a really great Bruno. Yeah. He's excited. Oh my gosh. I love Bruno. I love him.
Starting point is 00:07:59 I want to be Bruno. He's like my idol. You kind of are brutal. Do you remember how Bruno last for 80's night had the, he had the three quarter length, salmon. That made a appearance tonight. Oh my God, I need that. Salmon Jackets back.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Okay. Anyways. Okay. So 7.5. Yeah. 7.5. Let's get into the episode chronologically. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:21 So in case anyone hasn't watched yet, first half of the premiere, it's been a bit of a different year, obviously, pandemic, intro was different. 15 minutes into it, they're talking about coronavirus, her hometown, wishing, wishing, washing her dog in a sink, not really knowing what was going to happen. Did you like that behind the scenes context or? No, I was thinking, here's my last opinion. I think they did it the first time ever for Colton season. I liked it. And now I think it was way overdone. and the problem is there's too many holes within the storyline right and by holes we know that
Starting point is 00:08:56 there's a pandemic we know that she went and she met the guys and then she came back and then she met new guys now I felt as though like explain the whole storyline like wait they did no they talked about like she she she met guys first and then me she she my understanding and I could I could be wrong someone fact checked me my understanding is she went to go be the bachelorette they filmed and then they had to immediately shut it off like I There are definitely stories out there. They shut it out and they all went. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Yes, but I don't think she met them yet. Oh, that's true. Those guys were all there. They didn't come out of the limo yet. No, no, no, she hadn't met them yet. Either way, I kind of, I don't know. I wanted more of the storyline because all of a sudden we went from day two of course. I remember saying this is day 22.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I'll sit on the couch, sit on the couch, and then boom, we're there. I don't know. Didn't you feel like there's gaps in that? Here's what I felt. Those guys were little bitches for the COVID tests. Okay. I thought to see you do it every day. I do it every day.
Starting point is 00:09:48 It's not that bad. Come on, Vaugh. And they were like, Oh, my God. Yeah. That was funny. Although when I got my, I'm afraid of needles, when I got my finger prick out of the train rack, but. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Kind of a baby. Okay, they were fine. Anyway, so. They were great. Claire meets all the, oh, you step on a squeak toys. That was Pino's toy.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Oh my gosh. Claire finally meets all the men. She always refers to us, the men. The man. The man I need a man. And the man who I want to marry. Very old school.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I like it. You do like it? I'm calling you out. You don't like it. I just like her, so I'm like, I'm going to give her a pass on that. But I saw you five times on the couch say, like, you're a woman, like be your role, like you want to be independent. You don't need a man to do like, right?
Starting point is 00:10:34 Don't you feel that way? Oh my gosh. I'm going to call you out on the podcast for things you say privately. Oh, is that? No, I think that's you. Like you're, you always say like, I have a partner. We'll say it again. I just wanted her to be like, I don't need a man.
Starting point is 00:10:49 but I understand it's she's speaking of traditional which you are she's very traditional yeah so I can't falter for that anyway she meets the men that the past week who have been quarantined for her now who do you think made some of the best first impressions and best limo entrances because we talked about this and we chirped each other for the limo entrances and I'm like mine was so long ago now do people even remember and then yours was you're a handshake that was not very memorable wow i'm kidding it it's funny because i actually didn't remember your limo entrance i wasn't going for memorable i know i wasn't going for the whole shock uh shock value shock value that's what you were let me give you a few let me give you a few
Starting point is 00:11:38 of the guys and see if you remember that night and shining armor do you remember him i'm sorry what are you doing night in shining armor who got out of the limo someone got out of night and shining We're not listening. Okay, what about the man with the fake belly? Wait, what do you mean I wasn't listening? We missed the night and shining armor. Are you, oh, on, go back to this whole thing. Are you saying for tonight?
Starting point is 00:11:58 Yes. Oh, so I don't, yeah, totally don't remember that. Okay. What about the man with the fake belly? He came on. I do remember him. He was awesome. Oh, we liked that.
Starting point is 00:12:05 His name's Jason, wasn't it? Oh, that's why you liked him. No. He had the big belly, right? That's what I said. No, it wasn't Jason. I don't remember. But I didn't, I was okay.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Yeah. This season's Tyler C pulling up in his station wagon Didn't like it Because clearly like he's like You know I moved everything here You know You didn't move everything here
Starting point is 00:12:28 You were in a hotel room They literally just picked him Because his name's Tyler C That's it They're like that'll get people talking Man in the bubble Michael Bubble I don't hate it
Starting point is 00:12:39 I think it's creative It was creative Yeah I like that I think it's creative Man who brought moon pies Do you remember that? Why do I? Did I leave half that episode?
Starting point is 00:12:47 What about the Whoop? cushioned box. Yes, I remember that. That was hilarious. I thought that was pretty funny. Wait, who brought moon pies? I can't remember anything. Do you remember that? Yeah, I was like, do you remember that? I remember the moon pies, but I don't remember anybody's name. And obviously, Dale clearly made an incredible first impression. It was, I mean, Chris Harrison came out and was like, there are other men here, you know. I mean, she was blown away. She was shaking. And then the one thing that you caught actually was that she winked. The whole winked.
Starting point is 00:13:18 I think there's something going on. Yeah, a little. She said, I knew it as he left. I knew it. Yeah. Maybe that he would be that good looking or sweet in person. No. There's, do you think there was anything going on there before?
Starting point is 00:13:31 There's something definitely going on there before. So you think that they had been talking about the show? Whether that's a deep conversation they've been having or like, it was like, oh, I can't wait to meet you. But then she said later in the episode that only one person had reached out to her and it was the guy from Canada. And the other thing is he did. say crystal clear it's so nice to meet you so he said that he also asked how is she about her mom interesting i didn't catch that all right it's that time of the podcast to take a quick pause and talk about fashion and specifically one place i always go to for some amazing pieces you guys know by now
Starting point is 00:14:07 it's express express is all new and all about you with a fresh assortment of casual versatile and super comfortable styles and when i say comfortable i mean it i mean it they literally have jeans that will make you feel like you're wearing sweatpants. Go see for yourself. It's a game changer, people. Check out the Lux comfort denim. It's so important to feel both confident and comfortable in your clothes. And Express really is the perfect brand to accomplish those things.
Starting point is 00:14:33 When you feel confident in your clothes, it really does make you feel more successful in whatever it is you're doing. You need to feel good and do your best, no matter what you're wearing. But a lot of times when you're wearing a cute blazer or trendy top, it can be hard to feel comfortable. and that's just not going to make you feel your best. And I love that Express really does master the art of making you look put together and making sure you're comfortable too.
Starting point is 00:14:55 That is just right up my alley, you guys. If you haven't checked out their Instagram or their website recently, it's time to get on it because they do have amazing, versatile, and trendy pieces. And they're also such a great go-to for staple pieces. Express is where I got some basics for L.A., including T-shirts, sweaters, to feel my best when I'm not at rehearsal. Plus, their basics are just super cute. I especially love my black crew neck sweater.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I'm wearing it almost every day. Go check it out, you guys. And be sure to text Vine to 397-7-37 to receive $25 off your first purchase. Well, I mean, regardless, I mean, we all know I talked to people before the show. I don't think that's a bad thing. I think, look, whether you talk to them a week before, two weeks before, or you talk to them the night that you meet them, the connection's either there, it's not. You're either going to figure this out and decide who you want to be with.
Starting point is 00:15:44 It doesn't matter if you talk to them before. You know that connection. Yeah, but there's, you don't think there's like a, it ruins the integrity of the show. Well, it's like the whole point. It's also the pandemic. So I'm like, how can you, you know, she doesn't even know if it's going to happen or not. And she's going to put love on hold again and again and again and again. Yeah, I get that.
Starting point is 00:16:03 But it's also, I don't know. I'm like, you sign up for the show and there's certain rules. And like, I just don't think it's, then don't be the Bachelorette. If you, if you were talking to him. Come on. No, seriously though. Why would you bring out 30 guys are stating that? one of guys is anesthesiologists.
Starting point is 00:16:16 They're taking a whole leave from their entire jobs. No, they're already on break. They're doing everything. And they're not getting paid. And on top of that, you already know that you're going to potentially be with someone. Jason, come on, ma'am. No, absolutely not. We talked about this before.
Starting point is 00:16:33 It's like. But you said that you don't, you think that it would be fine if people are talking to someone before the show. And I'm like, if there's like, we've, that's been proven every season that that's not fine. Like, look at Jed. Jedd, like, was talking to a girl. He was at a girlfriend before the show. Yeah, but she wasn't the Bachelorette who he was coming to meet. She was a secret back home.
Starting point is 00:16:55 It's much different. You think so? Yes. I just think at the end of the day, yeah, okay, 30 guys showed up and were there for her. But they also know that they could go home night one. They also know that she could have a stronger connection with somebody else. They know all this. They're going on the Bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And as much as I always say, like, I hate when people say, you signed up for that. because you really don't know what you're signing up for but that goes for Claire too she really she understands being on a certain side of things but she doesn't understand what she's signing up for as the bachelor right nobody knows until you get in that position so if you're DMing someone else or you're chatting or you're you know talking with somebody else it's because you don't know what you're even getting yourself into and you don't want to close out any options yeah I mean I mean we'll see we'll see what happens and if that is the case but I think if you're having like serious if you tell so I don't know if like she
Starting point is 00:17:45 was having like serious, serious discussions and we, and you're at the conclusion where they both said to each other tonight, so nice to meet you, but they had met way before and talked way before. I don't think they've ever met in person. But I'm just saying, if that was the case, I would say that's, that's, that's not right. That's not right or fair. Yeah. That's where we disagree. I do disagree with that. I just, yeah, so that's right. Especially when you're trying to fool people and you first meet each other. Oh, so nice to meet you. That's obviously not the case. If, if. I did it. If in the scenario, with how?
Starting point is 00:18:17 When Nick came on my season, I tried to pretend, like, to the producers, like, whoa, where did that come from? Yeah, but didn't he talk about that? Yeah, so it was clearly, like, it wasn't, I don't, I didn't see it. But what I would say is, Dale and them tonight said, nice to meet you. Okay, that was an amazing first impression. I just met my husband right there. Great.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And I hope it all works out for them. Yeah, me too. If it is a thing. I really am just rooting for love at the end of the day. Yeah, no, that's fair. And I mean, okay, who, whatever, if they're DMing or not, let's talk about other DMs that were going on because Tyler C about Yosef flirting with girls on Instagram during the pandemic and not being there for the right reasons. Now, I'm assuming you think that's wrong too. Well, I think it's all, I mean, it's all he, he say, he say, like, hearsay.
Starting point is 00:19:06 That's who, like, oh, it does, he didn't admit to it. He said it wasn't true. He said it was a lie. If he was DMing girls during the pandemic, do you think that's wrong? I think it's absolutely ridiculous to Tyler to bring up some random-ass scenario that has no validity and that he declined. He said it's not true. It's stupid petty drama, right? Which is what night one is all about.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah. What was the petty one, what was the night one petty drama on your season? Oh, um, oh, that's a good question. Because every night, every season there's one. Oh, the petty drama was. Oh, just Ryan McDill got really, really, really, really drunk. Oh, and he slapped your ass, didn't he? He slapped my ass.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And then didn't Harrison, like, get the hell out of here? Yeah, he kicked him out. Yeah. On our, on Becca season, it was, the season I was on, it was Jake, this guy, Jake, had known, like a known Becca before or something, I guess. And it was from Minnesota and in the same parts. What? She caught him that night, yeah. Oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:12 You remember that? Interesting. I remember Chris Randone brought it up. It was like Chris Randone and him were going at it. Uh-huh. Okay, there's a Jason and a Blake on this season. I just remember that because Blake's the really nice guy who DM'd her. Yeah, because he's Canadian.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Of course, he's really nice. He seems like a sweetheart. Yeah, and he broke the rules by contacting Claire. This is why it's weird because I don't know. The conversation and the fact that he went against the contract when we're all sitting here thinking Dale's the one that's done. I don't know the weird twist. I wasn't previously.
Starting point is 00:20:44 I know, I know. Oh, I forgot to see who my favorite. Here's, oh, here's a takeaway. I like that they owned it, though.
Starting point is 00:20:53 That's what I'm saying. It wasn't this fake, nice to meet you. Let's shake cans. Great to meet you. Oh, my God. I'm in love. That's my husband.
Starting point is 00:20:59 It was, they owned it. Like, hey, I DM'd and you risked it. You could have been off the show. That's what I loved about that. Right. But then that's,
Starting point is 00:21:04 she's contradicting herself then because she's saying you're the only person that's reached out. So she's saying, oh, that broke the contract. So maybe are we just like misled about Dale that maybe she didn't. Maybe she actually just fell in love with him night one. Very true.
Starting point is 00:21:16 I mean, the only, I think, I mean, I think the only reason that this even came up is because we had said, do we think just generally, do you think that they had talked before and we said we think they do? We don't have evidence every time. We have no idea. So maybe they didn't. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Now I'm thrown for loop and that's what's going to keep me coming back every week. The Golden Retriever. is going to be what keeps me coming back every week. Wasn't that Clare's Golden? I think so. Oh, he was the best boy of all of the boys. He won. He stole the show.
Starting point is 00:21:49 He's the best one. He absolutely stole the show. Oh, God. We'll be right back with more off the vine. Great Therapy. That little chico pit bull, Mr. 305, but I said, Mr. Worldwide, Amandito Gritian Perez. I had to use the real name.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Why? Because now it's the podcast. From negative to positive, which you can catch on. Apple Podcast, Podcast, Podcast One, and Spotify. Flow to the Rider. I don't even know if you know how much they play you around the road or anywhere, my brother. No matter how much bread we make, dog, you can't take it with us. No matter how many houses, cars, whatever we acquire, can't take it with us.
Starting point is 00:22:26 With that said, anything we make is always to give back, dog. Why are we starting a podcast? Well, it's real simple. With the times that we're living in right now in the world, I think you need to be motivated, inspired, educated, aware, positive. So what I'm here is just to motivate the world and let them know. Okay, the guys that went home, Chris, Tyler C, Jordan M, I only have these written down, otherwise I wouldn't remember this, Paige guy with a heart tattoo, and Mike.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Did you even notice, like, who went home or were you like, didn't even get to know them? The only one I really knew was Tyler C because of the drama he created. I think of it. I still always go back to the season I was on with grocery store Joe. What a wild thing. Like, like, you think about it tonight. Only guy I can think about is Tyler C. Joe stole the show that night, and he was on for two seconds.
Starting point is 00:24:14 You think about how crazy that is. Yeah, because they did a whole hometown package on him. He was very charming. Wait a second. They didn't do hometown packages. They did. Because they couldn't. Yeah, they just did guys in there.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Oh, shit. That's what we missed tonight. Yeah, I agree. That was the big difference between the slick, slick top, black top, and the mansion. I missed the mansion tonight because the hometown packages. make you relate to them like it makes sense yeah yeah yeah that was it true it makes you that was that was it that is something that we figured it out that and the mansion i really did miss the mansion it's just so iconic because i'm sure we all you all think about like when you pull up
Starting point is 00:24:50 like your time there i can like smell the wet driveway oh god it's crazy i know okay so some of the highlights we see being teased for this season include chris harrison saying you blew up the bachelorette crazy chris harrison line uh claire saying i know what i want and i feel found it. Okay. The men calling Dale fake. Didn't see that one coming. Claire having to fight with a man who calls out that she's the oldest
Starting point is 00:25:16 bachelorette. I wanted to punch that guy right in the dick. A loser. Oh my gosh. How mature are you yelling that like a loser? Just whatever. A preview of Claire leaving her season and another limo pulling up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:30 So we all think we know what happens. Do you think the rumors are true? It's Tasha that gets out. She's the new bachelorette. and Clara goes off to be with Dale. 100%. Do you think she does a fantasy suite? I say 100%.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I have not talked to anybody, but that's what I believe. Do you think she takes the guys with the strongest connection? She does a final three, meets their family, has an overnight suite all in the first two weeks, and then chooses Dale. My speculation, based on what we saw tonight, is she literally on the first one-on-one date says to him, I can't stop thinking about you. I go to night thinking about you. I go to bed thinking you. And literally the week one.
Starting point is 00:26:07 So I think she's going to like go week two, fantasy suite, and then week three, it's done. That'd be nice. Based on the way they're all like acting and stuff. What do you think? Well, I don't know. The freaking promos throw me off every time because I always fall for their shit. I know. Every time I'm like, oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I can't believe that's going to happen. And then the week comes and you're like, oh. What if Tation just comes in, like, offer some advice? Yeah. And we were like, listen to this bag. Oh, I hope so. Because the joke would be on us. And we would look so stupid.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Which would be hilarious. That would be awesome. And then we'd be like, wow, you win again. You're like, wow, you got us again. What do you know? They're like, we're getting pushed to Tuesdays. We'll show you how to keep them ratings up. We're going to take a quick break.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Everyone knows I like to be on my A game, whether it's with work or dancing or just life in general. And part of being on my A game means constantly learning and trying to just be better in general. So one of the ways I've been able to keep learning and growing is by using Skillshare. If you're not familiar with Skillshare, it is an online learning community with literally thousands of inspiring classes for creative and curious people like me and you. Starting point is 00:27:24 These lessons can help you stay inspired, express yourself, and introduce you to a community of millions. I've been really into exploring one of the Skillshare's curated collections. of classes. They've put together that feature black artists, like there's a really cool creative writing course, a podcasting class, which is pretty relevant, I'd say, and storytelling. Another class that I really want to check out is called Style Your Space, taught by Emily Henderson, and it's full of tips on interior design. Super short, manageable, so I'm very excited to dive in and get started. I also just think Skillshare is a really cool resource in general for everyone
Starting point is 00:27:59 at home right now to learn new skills you've been wanting to or maybe even explore a new career path. Starting point is 00:28:30 Wait, I want to keep talking about this. I'm enjoying it. Okay. I like talking about how, like, you think about, like, your night one. Oh, this is what I was going to say. Yeah, what if, I don't know, how do you think this compared to your night one? I want to bring it back to like, well, my night one was literally two bacheloretts. So different.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Guys, choosing. It was so insane. It was so different from any other. So before the little confession, before I went on the show, I didn't really watch the show, but I did watch right before going on, like, a bunch of night ones in a row. I watched like I would go to Amazon because you can buy them and I'd buy the night one because my whole thing in life was like when I went on this show I was like
Starting point is 00:29:10 I just can't go home night one so I was trying to like figure out and study like how does night one work like no idea for a guy who's all like you really believe in first impressions you really you were like well I don't want to be like I don't want to go home to every person
Starting point is 00:29:26 that goes on that show I would think one of the first things you say about first impressions or not you don't want to be the person sent home white one that sucks ask grocery store joe go it's literally the only thing i want to do is make sure i wasn't sent home oh yeah i know but that's what he says and i think that's what i was saying about the first impression is the lying factor like if they have this serious thing before the show and then they both are like trying to fool production and the other people nice to meet you that's why i would say you know what is she going to do she's playing a role as the bachelor's it's you got to make a
Starting point is 00:30:02 TV show. She can't show up night one and go, why not say nice to see you and then say, you know what? We have, like I've talked to them a little bit. Because that's against the contract. And maybe that didn't happen. We don't know that happened. No, of course we don't know what happened. Yeah. Where I'm saying on speculation. Yeah. Maybe they're not why. Maybe they genuinely did meet that night and fall in love. Yeah. If I could ask those. Yeah. Yeah. You know, that's my biggest question. But that, but that. You know what? I would have Claire on. Look at it. Look at how excited. We're like, let's go. I want to watch. I want to talk to her. But the bad. But the
Starting point is 00:30:32 Bachelor franchise is getting smarter and smarter, and they're getting podcasts under their own network now, which they have to go on those first, and then I'm the like, fourth, sloppy fourth. Yeah, but you're such a good host and such a good interviewer. You get different sides out of people and know and again. Well, thank you for saying that. And I, I mean, I love all the people who have those podcasts. It's all good. Okay. We're going to play a game. Okay. Bachelor game. So we can still talk about it because I see the fire in your eyes. I get excited. I'm like, It's back, baby. Based on your first impressions of the men and first impressions only.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Now, you can do this because you probably don't know their names, but just from what you remember. Who do you think wins for the following superlatives? Okay. Okay. Most likely to have peaked in high school. Oh, that's a good one. I don't know. Can you think of someone?
Starting point is 00:31:27 Do you think Tyler C? Yeah. Yeah, like he peaked and now he's like, I got to stir stuff up. Yeah. Life of the party. Because he's a good-looking guy. Yeah. Life at the party. Life of the party is going to be, I think, the guy that DM'd, that DM'd her before and owned it.
Starting point is 00:31:44 Canadian. Canadian guy. He seems so nice, jaw-all. I like that guy. Okay, Beth smile. Really good energy. Best smile. I think Dale.
Starting point is 00:31:53 I mean, can we also say the guy is a freaking beauty. Oh, yeah, yeah. Absolute. I mean, that is a good-looking dude. Yeah. Who, killing it. Most likely to be the next Bachelor Nation obsession. That's so hard.
Starting point is 00:32:10 It's hard to say, night one. No one really stood out to me as like, I am rooting for that person. I think, and I bring that back, I think that's the hometown packages. Like, it allows you connect with their family and their story. You don't do that for everyone and you still connect to other people. You don't always get a hotel package. I remember, like, Night One, Colton's hometown package. Like, he blew up Night One.
Starting point is 00:32:30 It was so relatable to his dogs. to his legacy non-for-profit. Like, I do think night one, the hometown package is really what sticks to the story. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Most likely to survive the Hunger Games.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I know you love the Hunger Games. I think anyone. Claire. Claire? Or the guy who comes in the bubble? I mean, that was kind of strategic. Or was it producers? It was definitely producers.
Starting point is 00:33:00 It might not have been. It might not have been. Ben, they could have just set it up. You get your idea. It's like, yeah. Okay, biggest drama king. Yosef. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Poor Yosef. He could be like the nicest guy ever. And all I remember is Tyler C and Yosef and Dale. Those are the people I remember. Most likely to be the first to advertise on social media. And Chris Harrison looking great. Yeah, he did look. Killing it.
Starting point is 00:33:29 First guy likely to advertise on social media. Tyler. Like for sure He's going to come up with like I don't know He's like going to get Tyler C.com Like try and take over Tyler C He's like start a few
Starting point is 00:33:41 Tyler C online That's funny Okay most likely to not be there For the right reasons Hmm I don't know I don't know either It's too soon
Starting point is 00:33:54 Too soon Best sense of humor so far Can I ask you a question about that Do you think in the trailer When they're talking about Dale and his, like, people saying he's there for the wrong reasons. You think it's true or false? Oh, I think it's false.
Starting point is 00:34:10 I think they all get that way about the front runners. It's just like jealousy? Yeah. Yeah, I think you're right. Best sense of humor so far. Was anyone funny that came out of? The guy with the belly was great. I like that guy.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Good energy. No, you didn't like it. It's okay. No, I don't have the intro like you. No, I don't, I'm so done talking about my intro. Wait, didn't your intro go to Ellen, Ellen, Ellen DeGeneres? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:33 What did she say about it? She said this is what you don't want to do. Wait, did she really? That was her thing. Yeah, and she like gave a real serious look after I, okay, whatever. You kept such a straight. Most likely to DM Bachelor Women post elimination. And don't go with the obvious.
Starting point is 00:34:54 You give me one. I can't think of that. I can't remember their name. This is why it'll get more fun through the season to do the recaps because you'll start connecting to these people and i think these questions though like most likely need to come up as you know these people better yeah and i think it puts you on the spot like shit you're probably right yeah so do you think that in general when you like we will listen to your last recap when this is over do you think this is going to be a good season frustrating season do you think it's going to be
Starting point is 00:35:22 like a lovely season how do you think you know what i just thought of it's also really hard to connect to anybody this season because you know or we think we know know, and I'm not, I honestly don't know anything for a fact. I'm going off every, what everyone else knows. But do you think we're just not connecting to anyone because we know there's really no potential for love stories between anyone else. So we're not like rooting for anyone. Yeah. What happens is I think you, you write it off because you think that you know that there's a second bachelorette that's coming in. And so therefore you write off the journey for Claire, which isn't fair. But also the best part about this show is it just locks you in.
Starting point is 00:36:01 because it looks like it's going to be like crazy how this shit unfolds and i'll be honest like if i'm one of those guys okay i want to spend this question on you kate you are going on crystal season you give up everything going on your life okay and you go on chris soul season and after two weeks he tells you guys you're done you're going home that i found my i found my person and we and again question mark we don't know so we shouldn't even put it out there but there's allegations that maybe you're talking before yeah wouldn't you be like come on yeah i would be really upset do you think that's fair to you no do you think it's fair of the show or any or even the viewers i like how i heard claire say in a uh a teaser that she's she would be sorry if she hurt anyone or if but she's not going to be
Starting point is 00:36:49 sorry about love or something i like it both sides because i'm like well if she's if you really truly came there for love then you should be happy she found it but if you're there for an opportunity, yeah, it would suck to go home. And I think that's what people have to admit. I was totally there for an opportunity. So I would be upset if it got cut short because I'd be like, okay, yeah, that sucks. Like I spent so much money on clothes. I quit my job. I did all this. Not to buy love. That would have been a bonus, but to have an adventure. So people are willing to admit that. The only problem I have, if you tell me these two just met when we watch this show, And they do fall in love
Starting point is 00:37:32 And the questions are right That it's those two in week three That's great Go do it and restart Hit it up But if there was something that happened before And that whole intro was a Fagazi And they did know each other
Starting point is 00:37:46 That's that's not fair That's not fair It screws up the integrity of their relationship The show The former out of the show The contractors are working their ass off I don't stand for And all the people
Starting point is 00:37:59 That anesthesiologist That's like there's so many of these people Not to mention like the crew And all the behind the scenes people weren't so hard on my show That's my point That's why I bring it back to I forgot to talk about Bennett That little Harvard douche canoe
Starting point is 00:38:13 You didn't like him huh? Why not? He made it Morning yoga classes And all always talks about No I don't know They definitely gave him an American psychic Like people from my show
Starting point is 00:38:24 Because they saw corporate banker Long Slick back air People would be like oh American Psycho That guy got the American Psycho at it because he got the consultant from Harvard and they had him with his face mask on talking about yoga. I never like judging people right off the bat, but you know. We'll get back to the podcast in a second. I think we're all on the same page that life today is a lot. There's so much going on in our world and in the world around us. And we're expected to be on our A game pretty much 24-7. It's so
Starting point is 00:38:52 important that we take time to relax, treat ourselves and most importantly to chill. When I turn off, which isn't off in these days, but it's whenever I can get a chance. I like to pause what I'm doing, crack open a mountain cold Coors Light and chill. When you choose to turn off, choose the one beer that's made to chill, Coors Light. Why is Coors Light literally made to chill? You may be asking yourself, the mountains on the bottle and cans actually turn blue when your beer is cold and it's brewed with a three-step cold process. So it's cold loggered, cold filtered, and then cold packaged.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Super chill. Born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in 1970, Coors Light is so refreshing, crisp, and only 102 calories. I will also personally add that it's a great thing to sip when you're doing some day drinking, especially when it's hot outside, which is constant in L.A. I completely associate Coors Light with plain chilling now, so whenever I see a bottle in my fridge with those Blue Mountains, I know it's going to be a good day, night or both. That's why Coorslight is the one I choose when I need a moment of chill.
Starting point is 00:39:52 So when you want to reset, reach for the beer that's made to chill. You can have Coors Light delivered by going to get.coorslight.com and finding local delivery options near you. Celebrate responsibly Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado. Okay, there's two blakes. There's one Blake that's cute and the other Blake that's Canadian. Canadian Blake, excuse me, Canadian Blake is the one who slid in her DMs and got the kiss. Okay. I'm going through some of the guys right now and I'm like, who are you?
Starting point is 00:40:22 Easy. That was the guy within the salmon suit. easy yeah yeah yeah so what did you in general what did you think about did you think it was a good first episode yeah it was okay yeah it was okay i just felt like it was okay first of it went very quickly and i'm not sure why i didn't feel really connected to anybody except for claire because i'm rooting for her and i mean will i tune in next week absolutely absolutely i think it's going to be great the one thing i'll say i'm curious what other people think to is for me Something about a premiere is like it generates so much excitement.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I like the three-hour premieres they had before where they would do something. Like the one time we did co-hosting, of course that was fun for us because we did it. Maybe not for viewers. But the thing is, is I like when they make the premiere a big thing and do like other cool, exciting things. I didn't feel like they had that. Yeah. No, that's fair.
Starting point is 00:41:16 I think most people don't like that. But for me, I want to like I wanted a little more. Well, all I could say is out of all this. They still worked hard to do it. Out of all this, I hope Kenny forms the next biggest boy band. And this gives him a platform to do so. What boy band do you think he manages? Watch it be this huge boy band.
Starting point is 00:41:40 If there's one boy band you wish Kenny would manage, what would it be? BTS. What's that? I don't know, some big boy band that's like very popular. I don't know. Are boy bands even a thing anymore? more? He does look like he's kind of from like the like the early 2000. Living in LA, I've learned it's not even boy bands anymore. It's the TikTok houses. They're the houses with all
Starting point is 00:42:05 the hot TikTokers that hang out. That's the thing. Oh, that makes me sad a little bit. Why? Because imagine your daughter or son being such a fragile age of like 1920 and just thinking that that's what matters in life is attention from online. The other thing too is one of the tick tockers a blanket on his name he just formed a podcast with uh i saw that bar stool yeah and so they were talking and dave's like so man you're 18 years old while i was 18 years old that was running like the paper route making a buck 50 yeah how are you doing he's this guy's this kid's 18 is making millions of dollars living in a ticot house yeah millions and millions and millions of dollars can i tell you about mike t for a second your tea no mike t who's that from calgary canada
Starting point is 00:42:49 Okay. And ABC calls Mike quite possibly the nicest person you'll ever meet. He loves skiing and watching hockey and more importantly, he describes himself as a proud lifelong member
Starting point is 00:43:00 of the Shania Twing fan club. He refuses to acknowledge that season eight of Game of Thrones ever aired. Good for him. Oh, I love this guy. I know. I love this guy.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Wait, can we get a picture? You remember the guy from Calgary? Oh. He totally looks like he's from Calgary, Alberta, too. This guy's a gem. He's totally wearing a Canadian. in tuxedo. Wait a second.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Did he go home today? Oh my God. No, no. Did he? Did he? No, I don't think so. There was a guy with a beard that looked like him that went home. Oh, I hope not.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Oh, I really hope not. Yosef. Okay, I think we got through everyone that. Yeah, there you go. Okay. That's it. That's the podcast. That's the recap.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I feel like it'll get better and better each week to be able to recap too because. Yeah, the recaps are going to get, I think, just fire, especially because you're going to bring in all different bachelor. It was a tough night one, though. I will say because I think the pandemic just changes things about it. Yeah. The traditional bachelor feel. You have the, first of all, these guys worked their asses off to make this even come to fruition.
Starting point is 00:44:00 But I think you have an expectation of just like blown away stuff and I wasn't blown away at all. I miss the hometown packages. I missed the extra fire. And I don't know. I just didn't do it. It just the old, the thing that excited me the most was the trailer for the rest of the season. It sounds like it's going to be nuts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Yeah. Okay. Well, I'm excited for next week. I will say this. You go back to every recap you and I have done or you have done on the first episode. We always say, you usually call me out every time we say it's our Hannah season. We're like it started off a little slow. Oh, no, every season.
Starting point is 00:44:32 What a crazy season. Totally, totally. I'm not doubting that it won't be a crazy season. I think it's going to be a ridiculously crazy season. I just think the night one was like, okay. Yeah. It didn't blow me away. Claire did, but that's about it.
Starting point is 00:44:46 It's good. The show is back, though. It's back. Tuesday nights. Monday, Dancing with a Stars, Tuesday, Bachelor. That's a crazy, huh? It's a heavy couple of days. Oh, I do actually really want to always end podcast by saying thank you for the voting
Starting point is 00:45:02 because it literally votes make my dreams come true. Like, it's literally up to people who enjoy this podcast or, you know, follow us or whatever. I'm like, you guys are literally. making my dreams come true each week and I don't know how to thank people for that. And it's so easy to vote. 21523 and you literally just text Caitlin. That's it. It's all you got to do.
