He is literally the sweetest, even though he apologetically burped in my face numerous times during the interview because he had just eaten a breakfast burrito. It's Andrew S.

Andrew is kind and humble. And I just can't get enough of his positive, super fun attitude. he's so great. And I worked my Barbara Walters interview moves and he told me who in the Bachelor franchise is his biggest crush. So I'm working my matchmaking manifesting skills and I'm getting these two together because they would be amazing. Okay, fine, she's in a relationship. You know what? If it doesn't work out, I'm using my skills. This was such a win of a podcast and I'll work extra hard to get him that girl because Andrew and I are like best friends now. After he shows me something he has never shown anyone before. Okay, this is such a great one. I think I'll be

smiling forever after this. What is happening? Kate, this is the most classic of life right now. I am at my girlfriend's house in Canada, and she just took her kids to school, and I'm like, not a morning person, and I was like trying to help the kids and trying to get ready. And I was like, I'm not cut out for this. Oh, man, getting ready for that life. already, huh? I don't know if I can do it. How are you? I'm good. I'm doing really well. How are you? It's been a long time. It has been a long time and I meant to start this off by being like, hello, love, and like swirling my coffee with my pinky out and I'm just blowing it. Absolutely. I would love that. Hello, Rob. First of all, just tell me about this accent thing, because I know we saw you, like, come out of the limo,

do the accent thing, but is this a thing you do all the time? It's, it was like, it's like, it's like, like my alter ego when I've had, you know, maybe if you drinks or whatever you want to call it, and everyone's like, why are you doing that? But it's so good. So I don't know, I just kept doing it. I started because I watched a cat in a hat one time. And he says, like, I'm excited. And then I started saying that. My mom's like, you're really good at that. And like, you know, when your mom hypes you up. Yeah. That's so funny. I love that. You're like, I watched the cat in the hat once, and that's where it all started. That's the whole origin of the story right there. That's amazing.

I can, like, how many accents can you do? Because I can go, hello, love, and then that's about it. No, I do pretty well with my Southern accent as well as Dominican accent. I don't know. I just kind of just fall into it in character. It's so weird. My friends are the same way, though, too. So we'll just, like, do a bunch of accents out of nowhere when we're just hanging out.

So it just comes at the spur of the moment. Okay, I feel like I should know how to do a Southern accent just because I live. in Nashville, Tennessee. I feel like you already have it down. I feel like you always had like a southern accent a little bit. Wait, are you serious? I'm dead serious. Like, when we were on the show,

I thought you had an accent the whole time. I was like, oh, just get a little southern twang. Wait, this makes me so happy because I'm like trying to transition from being, because I'm from Canada. So the fact that I don't have a Canadian accent is mind-blowing to me. And then I've been trying to transition

into saying y'all and i'm like it just doesn't feel right yet so i keep trying to like drop it once in a while to my friends who say y'all all the time so that they won't notice and i'll be like hey what are y'all doing and then they don't say anything and i'm like i'm slowly getting there that was way too perfect oh my god sondra bullock the blind side right there oh oh my gosh it is my dream to be like the southern mom who like you know put her kid in football and i'm just like you know and he's the quarterback and i'm just like that southern mom that, like, add it all together. That's perfect.

You got that perfect. That's literally your future coming right at you. I'm so glad we had this conversation. I feel so good about this. Wait, give me your Southern accent. I need to hear it. Sometimes I'll talk a lot of these. I got to lower the voice down.

Oh. Talk a little bit more of the Southern accent. I don't know. I don't know why, but I think it was like, maybe Lockham Doors and Turn. When I heard the Castle was like, I got the Southern thing picked out. Pretty good.

Maybe Lockham Doors internal. Relax down low. You just kind of talk like Bradley Cooper from there, and I think you got it down. Wait, that was really good. I was expecting you to just put a twang on things, but you really, like, went down a few octaves and impressed me more than I thought you would. Where in the world are you right now? Oh, I'm in Belize right now.

Oh, I'm in Belize. Rhode Island. Yeah, it's, trust me. I don't know how I even got here, but it's really fun. Do you feel that way in life? Like, I feel like your life, you're probably like, how did I get here? Absolutely. Well, when it started when I, like, started playing football in Europe, I'm just like, I am living in a whole other country right now. This is blowing my mind. And then now it's even more surreal because, first of all, I took a boat out here, an hour. I thought I was going to get killed. We have nowhere. Don't have, like, phone service at all. Like, I have no idea of what I'm doing out here. I swam with sharks yesterday. I touched a shark, snorkeling. So. Did you mean to?

Yeah. Well, they're like the nice sharks. They're nice sharks. So it was a. Okay, I feel like I've probably told the story on my podcast before, but you haven't heard it. But I actually swam with sharks in Hawaii, like no cage, nothing. Like they were like, I don't know what kind of sharks they were, but they're these local people that took me out. And I should not have trusted them because one guy was missing a finger. And they were like, when I say get in the water, you've got to get in the water. And I was like, okay, here we go. And then they're like, you can't look back.

And they're like, go. and I just went in and I was like making eye contact with sharks and they were just swimming around like friendly little things and I had a full blown panic attack and had to get out of the water but I did it they look you right in your eye yeah that's what freaked me out a little bit because one was swimming towards me and I was swimming like right towards him and that's what I just like went to the side of him and like raised him like that's all I needed and I got out of the water so I know exactly that is terrifying but then you can look back and be like I did it but that's so okay so you don't know why you're in Belize like how many Times have you said, what turn did I take in life to get, like, were you always an athlete? Did you always have dreams of being a football player? That was the only dream and still is the only dream. It's always been to be this big athlete, be in the NFL, whatever. I had my little short stint there. I played in training camp there with the Browns.

Then got cut, did another league. That league fell through. Then they ended me out in Europe. And, like, you know, being able to play a sport that I love is what I care most about. I mean, obviously, the dollar signs are what everyone loves. It's not really a big deal to me, you know. Like in my Instagram bio, I was like, there's no amount of money that I'll ever buy time. So I was just like, I'd rather just spend my time wisely than chase money.

It's a good, that's a good way to live life. And I feel like, you know, being in Europe, how you've played there. But the European lifestyle is so magical and everybody is just doing it right over there. and everybody is happier, healthier. Yes, it's so, it's so hot. Like, this guy, he works at Burger King in Europe and he comes home and he lives like, there's no stress. He's like, oh, yeah, I work here.

Some hours and I'll come on here and enjoy the rest of my day. I'm like, that's ridiculous. Like, everyone at home is like, I can't be working here. I need to go figure something else out. Like, and then they're stressing themselves out. I kind of live a little bit. No, it's really cool. And I'm just extremely blessed, too, to be here.

That's awesome. I feel like, yeah, what is the saying that they say they work to live, not live to work? And I feel like America is just part of that hustle culture where they're like, it makes them feel like that's what they're supposed to be doing. Like everyone is just working themselves to the ground and people are miserable and they're not sleeping properly. And stress and anxiety is at an all time high. And I feel like we need to normalize like a more European lifestyle instead of the hustle culture. least like they have holidays every other week so like these people are going on vacations for like three months i'm like that's incredible that can never happen but i feel like that to some people i feel like

they would live so much better because you know i feel no one takes time to travel i never traveled when i was younger um like my mom had to work like three jobs so the only vacation was uh going to see our cousins and for like family reunions so like the fact that i'm doing this is just like It's blind, like, completely. Because you probably have a whole other perspective from that. Like, I know, for example, I know so many, like, I have friends that are athletes. My ex was an athlete. And it's such a unique lifestyle because I feel like it can, I feel like yours might be different.

And that's why I'm going to bring it up. Because a lot of athletes are praised from a young age and they get to do what they love. And they get to, like, be praised for what they do instead of who they are. And I feel like. You may, and maybe correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like because your mom had to work three jobs, like, you probably stayed so much more humble growing up in that, in that world. Well, yeah, that, and I had, like, amazing support from communities and, like, dads. Like, I have, like, three dads, I would say. Wow.

They just, they feel, like, helpful to me in my life, you know. We weren't, like, always financially, like, stable. They would always help out. They were always teaching, like, little things, like manners. Like, I didn't know manners growing up. I was just a little rug rat. manners, how to be a good man and just these talks

that they didn't have to do to a, you know, a single parent child, you know, that that wasn't their own. So I got really lucky and got really blessed at these, you know, they came down on me and made sure I was humble all the time because I was really, really good when I was a little kid. Thank a lot.

I was a prodigy. But they like pointed in on me all the time like, hey, be humble this, this, this story, this, and you know, it's just kind of ingrained in me now. I like that. I feel like there's not a lot of, like, your typical athletes out there, not to dog on athletes, but... There is a little bit of that, and obviously, some people don't already handle, like, all the love, because people shower you with love nonstop.

Yeah. But, like, to be able to handle that situation, and I know you know that for right now, like, being on the bash, like, everywhere you go, people kind of know who you are. And it's, it's like, it puts you in a top position because you don't know really what to do or what to say. And, like, if people are judging you, if you're a nice person or not. not like based on how your conversation is going to go. And you always have to be in like a perky mood. It's true. You always have to be on.

But that's why I try to use my social media to be like to talk about my anxiety or certain things that happen so that if I, you know, and maybe off a certain day, I can just be honest about that. But I feel like athletes are put on this pedestal. And I feel like that's kind of similar to being the bachelor or the bachelorette. And you're put on this pedestal and people have this idea of you that you're like up here. And it's so hard to come down. from that after you can either go one of two ways you can kind of like stay humble and um you know

keep yourself grounded or you can like get a taste of that and want more and a lot of people go either way there are people that have literally taken and run with it especially from our season and especially from football season that i go it all too well so um yeah it's it's a it's easily decision for me to you know remain who i am because that's who i was raised or how i was race but some people uh do need a little kick in the butt that's for sure yeah i know i always want to like take people down a couple notches when i see them going that way i'm like uh-uh don't do it don't do it friends group that i have right now they they get at you so if you're doing something a little bit too much they'll let you know so uh that i'm really grateful for that for the friends

groups that have like Justin Justin Glaze here with me um so we're really good at like kind of keeping each color like very mellow and low he he gets there sometimes that guy he's so funny but that's a light skin treat he's so funny he's so funny i had him on the podcast we had a good time but that's i was going to say like you know there's i think it's who you surround yourself with that can keep you kind of grounded and humble i've told you this before and i'm going to tell you again i did throw away that white shirt a couple months ago because i got food all over it i was eating dinner scroll on instagram boom i was a mess so was my white shirt and I just threw it away. I was going to ask you, how do you think, through your life and, you know, going from an athlete to being on the bachelorette to, you know, being considered, I think, for the bachelor, like, how do you stay humble? Is it the people you surround yourself with, or is this just ingrained in you? Both. It's like, I mean, being raised, the way I was raised and obviously, you know, surrounding myself like the guys i hang out with from the show they're literally just like in like there's that saying it's like you are who you hang out with and i i take that to heart like i still

have the same best friends i've had since fifth grade and like just to keep that same you know path of friendship and just wait back as it's honestly made me better for it and i don't think i'm ever going to like people are like oh you're just like how you were on the show and like how was i supposed to be like I mean else like I didn't really understand that but a lot of people what were saying like just be yourself and that's who I am completely all the time so usually these guys like it so I'm happy for that that's awesome and do you think are you going to continue to play football like what is that what's what's next for you I'm going to be going back out to play football again I don't know what country yet there's talks in Milan Frankfurt Vienna again and

some other places but yeah it's going to be fun okay so i always ask you know when people come off the show i'm like what's next now for you you get to go back and do what you love to do but let's hypothetically say you didn't would you go to the beaches of paradise um yeah i'd probably go honestly if i don't find love i definitely would be down uh to hit the beach i don't know i've seen a couple episodes it's uh my mom definitely doesn't want to really go but I think if I'm asked I'll probably yeah I'll probably say yes yeah because I feel like I mean there's so much that goes down there and you have to like it's so hard because people go down with the intention of course of falling in love but they also like are starting to get

themselves in a lot of trouble as we saw yeah on that episode like you have to go in with such good intentions and I feel like you would but like what do you think about all the stuff going down about, you know, the Piper and Brendan situation that they're there for this. And then what's his face? Ivan snuck out and found this. And they had a whole manipulative plan. Like, what? It's so, it felt very manipulative. Yeah, it's, I mean, it's tough. I obviously, we want to go down there and find the right person. You don't want to, you know, lead anyone on. And I feel like, but Brendan and Piper situation is different. They, they had an elaborate plan from the kid. You know what I mean? I think. I haven figured out he could have a little plan, like, but then when he was there, but still ends up doing the same thing.

But, yeah, I wouldn't try that. Obviously, you want to see the people that you want to see there. But at the end of the day, like, you know, you can't do what you're doing and talking the way they talk to women out here. I think that was just disrespectful, too. So disrespectful. I'm like so disappointed in these guys because you see them and you like, you know, you enjoy their personality and you think so highly of them and then they go and do something like that where I mean, again, maybe their intentions like are more pure than they come

across. But when they get themselves in these sticky situations and it feels like they can't come out of it and they keep just like spiraling down and then they aren't thinking about what they're saying and they're only thinking about this master plan of staying on the beach, but it's so confusing. I'm like, if you plan to meet this person there and they're not there, wouldn't you rather be like, well, hopefully this works out at home than looking like a complete jackass on television? You look stupid. Like, I can't send DMs because I'm just terrible at them. I just have no game. I can't shoot a DM and so I'm like, hey, I really like you. Like, let me should go for a call, whatever. So I can see how bad that was. Yeah, you might want to

try that again. Yeah. So I had to go to the beach and like, you know, have fun. I have to meet someone and you know kind of they have to see what my personality is like you know really get to know me um and i feel like that's why i kind of love the bachelor process because you just drop everything you drop the phones drop all that you just have like uninterrupted like conversation and communication which is definitely got what's going to get me you know married uh other than that like i don't know how else i'm kind of making the thing is that's it's better to be i would prefer somebody be terrible in the dms and better in real life because that's uh obviously better. Way better. And it just sucks for those guys. They're well-liked. I feel like they definitely

needed to be kicked off their high horse. So I think what was coming to them. Yeah. I mean, I always say karma has no deadline. It'll, it'll, it'll, what goes around comes around. But that's, if you were to go on the beach, is there someone that you would be excited to see there? I think everyone knows. I have a little crush from someone in a bachelor's nation, but I think she's dating someone so wait through I don't know well if everyone knows

you might as well to tell me or I'll just Google it I can't say it I feel I'm a little shy right now this is high pressure stakes come on you it's Bree Springs I think oh yeah she is

stunning and so sweet immaculate chef's kiss she is I will say, I actually did a podcast with her last year, and I really enjoyed her presence and her energy. Like, she's obviously very intelligent. She's got a good job. She's got a good head on her shoulder. She's beautiful. She's funny. She's smart. Like, wait, who's she dated? Is she dating someone from Bachelor World? No, she kind of distanced away from Bachelor's work, so I've been told, you know, I've asked a couple people.

It's even hotter that she did that. That's, okay, I could totally see you too. Okay, if we'll just put it out into the universe if things don't work out we want her to be happy but if things don't work out i want to be respectful as well so i don't want i don't really want to you know you're allowed to have a crush on her you're not like trying to you're clearly not sliding her i did i didn't i did comment on her photo so you're right you are so flustered right now and like you're getting done her wedding we're talking about crush like what are you doing here Put me in an uncomfort from my potty. Well, I'm trying to butter you up because I always make my guests confess something to me.

So you've already got a lot of stuff out of the way. And now you can be like, well, I can tell you anything. See, I'm really good at my job. Yeah, you're, you could be a detective as well. Well, some people call me the Barbara Walters of our generation. Oh, I don't know who that is. Andrew. Oh, my God. How old are you?

26. You don't know who Barbara freaking Walters is? I can't put a face to the name, but if I saw her name. Who's Barbara Walters? I know Barbara Streisand. I know her. I don't know Walters is. You know Barbara Streisand, but you don't know Barbara Walthors?

No. Oh, my gosh. We better, okay. I like movie, give me some hints. Just stop. Yeah, that's moving on. Moving on to Back to the Beaches of Paradise because we are, yeah, I'm going to send you some Barbara Walters interviews and you'll be like, I totally know who that is. Kate, is there anyone that you were friends with on the beach that you've been disappointed in that you have personally called out or talked to and been like, man, like, have you been like, I'm disappointed in you?

or are you just avoiding the situation? No, honestly, I wouldn't say disappointed, but I'd say exactly who they were on my show from my season. So exactly, I mean, literally doing the exact same things. Aaron's doing Aaron thing, like getting people knocked off. Like, he's doing his good job, eliminating everyone. I'm a little surprised by Thomas. Obviously, I knew he was really charming.

But I'm very, I'm happy that, you know, he's not getting the disrespect and hate that he was once getting. So that's nice for him. And everyone else, like Connor still playing music. Trey's funny. So I think everyone, and James as well,

they're all who they portrayed to be. Like, I think our guys get it. You know what I mean? They get what they're supposed to be doing. You know, James and Aaron are a little bit more in relationship with each other than,

uh, through it out. But I still believe that, you know, they're looking for something. I just, yeah. I think James is such a sweetie pot.

and Aaron is just such a, I mean, the amount of times he says, bro, but he is such a bro. But it's so crazy because that whole Aaron and Chelsea's situation. And Aaron just keeps like, I feel like he's in it for the right reasons. And he keeps just like the short end of the stick every time. He's really in tune with his emotion. So he's really passionate about literally. And he believes is right. It's going to be hard.

He's pretty right majority of the time. so great track record uh everyone else is everyone he's kicked off is actually kind of you know stumped up at some point so he obviously he's in the right at some point um but no i i definitely believe he's just like a a complete nice guy yeah three hard looking for for love um i like i said i don't know someone's got to really match his energy for him to find that that special one so but i hope that's out there i agree that's funny because um we saw that the end of this episode that him and Tia just start going at it. And I'm like, I know Tia very well. And so I'm like, wait, I could kind of see them working. Yeah. I'm sorry, excuse me.

Are we there? Are we that comfortable? You're just burping with me now? Sorry, I had a breakfast burrito. We've got on. You know what? I do it all the time. My podcast producer, who's on right now, she will take a little clips of every time I burp on podcasts and like it's disgusting you can't you can't when you talk like it just like kind of like sneaks up on you and you're trying to there's no subtle way to burp either no I'm she's saying it right now I'm gross like we can be it's it's fine with me it's relatable to me but anyway Tia and and Aaron I feel like can you see them working no I don't I don't I don't really I don't know Tia but from what I've gathered I don't I don't really I don't know Tia but from what I've gathered they're, I don't see them clicking because of who Aaron is. And, you know, how old is Tia? Um, I believe she is 30, just turned 30, I think. Oh, yeah.

I feel like they're generational, like, they're different. Like, you, I feel like if you've known Aaron, he's so much different than, he's, he's a, he's a younger spirit, spirited guy. That's a very good way of saying immature. No. No. I wouldn't say him or I just say he's just, you know, he's, he's, he's, he's full of, full of energy in life. He really is. He is a younger spirit that is bang on. Okay, what do we think about the couples? Like, obviously, Joe and Serena are like paradise goals. That's what you want. That's, that's the ideal situation there. What do you think about Marty and Kenny? Because Kenny's starting to back off now.

I think, here's the thing, Kenny's a younger spirit of guy. And he's the oldest guy there. I think he's so so much fun. I've actually had a chance to hang out with Kenny a couple of time. Great guy. I think they go very well together because she's kind of an older spirit person. So she's kind of really mature that can they kind of like balance each other to match very well. So I think that'll work really well. I think Riley and Marissa is really good.

so she's in the car, and she completely, like, rolls a stop sign. I was like, oh, why does she do that? So she kind of roll the stop sign and next you know, woo, whoa, whoa. And I know it's coming. Yeah. She's like, he's in the car. She's like, oh, my God, oh, my oh my god oh my god i'm like what's wrong you're fine you're saying the cop the cop the cop he pulls her over uh i've tried

so hard not to laugh and he comes up he's like you know what you did wrong she's like i didn't stop that and he was like yeah you kind of rolled through it so i'm gonna have to issue you a ticket and she's like oh my god no are you serious like oh that's so cute it's and i and then he hands it to her and just like it's a prom ticket i said hey would you go to prom with me right after that so then and there so it was really cool but uh she wasn't happy that is really really cute though yeah i feel like you do you do like just like i feel like you're the kind of guy that thinks outside of the box and does thoughtful little things i don't know if i like someone i want them to know what i mean and i want to go above and beyond i don't want to just be regular lovers

you know i want to you know bring a little fun and you know be romantic uh that's always how i've been And, you know, I've watched rom-coms and all that with my mom. Like, you've got mail since I've been growing up. So I just all just got down. I just die that you know Barbara Streisand. You got mail and then other things. It's so funny. I bet you I know her face by saw it.

I just. Here, I'm going to show you. No, I still don't know who that is. That's blowing me away. What? And she's like, and this is 2020. No. Never heard. Never. I keep going back to it. I'm like, I don't know why I think I looked up to her because I wanted to always interview people.

Well, okay, I want to do a little prom superlatives and figure out who in all Bachelor in Paradise History you think would win each of these categories, okay? Ooh, this is fun. Okay. Let's go. Yeah. Or people would be like, oh, that's, wait, you've got to have something like because you're like good looking you're charming you're funny you got to have bad feet or something that's it that's it i will wear socks to bed literally and i hate wearing socks to bed but if i'm with someone like i'm going to have to wear socks but it's a deal breaker i think it dumped because of my feet like every there's every picture that i've ever that has been taken of me if i have bare feet oh my god that's ridiculous. Yeah.

In my beach photos, my feet are just submerged in sand. You can't cover them up. Same with them when I'm in the water. I don't know if you would get a 4.5 rating, but you know what? That's okay. I'm like, I'm just proud of you for showing me those. And we're going to end it on that out because we can't go anywhere but down from there. I could please admit your crush and show me your feet.
