Drink to your confessions and hear what you have to say about anything Bachelor.
Let's shake it up some more.
Here's Caitlin.
Hey, y'all.
It's Brandy here.
And I have with me.
Balak is here as well.
Oh, yeah.
We are filling some very large shoes here.
Caitlin's been so sick.
I've honestly never seen a human be so sick before.
And she asked us to fill in for her.
So we're going to try our best.
Yeah, we're going to do our best.
To bring the fire for grape therapy today.
I might call Caitlin in here a little bit.
But I don't know.
I kind of wanted to start with talking about Christmas a little bit because I'm leaving
Friday for Nashville, going home to see my family.
I know your family's here in Colorado.
But I think it's fun to kind of talk about like what the holidays are like for
different people because I think they're so different for everyone. So do you have a huge family? Do you guys all
together? Is it a big thing? Yeah. No, actually, so I have a pretty small family. I only have a sister and then
I have two cousins that live here in Colorado and two cousins that are in Missouri. So it was funny
because I was asked on a podcast earlier this week, do I have any like holiday traditions? Yeah, everyone
asks that. And I really, I really don't. We don't really have any holiday. Well, my parents are divorced.
Right. So makes it a little bit harder. But I mean, we play a lot of card games. Yeah, card games. We drink a lot.
A lot of mimosas on Christmas morning.
But I don't have any like crazy traditions traditions, which makes me want to have a ton
when I have a family.
I want to have so many different traditions for Christmas, Thanksgiving, all kinds of holidays.
Yeah.
Does everybody get gifts for each other?
Like, are you big on gifts?
Do you like giving gifts?
Do you like getting them?
Yeah, I'll be honest.
So since I have a small family and just kind of me and my sister, we were very spoiled
growing up because grandparents, yeah, they were like, they didn't have.
My uncle hasn't had any kids.
So me and my sister got pretty spoiled as kids.
But as, you know, we've grown older, it's definitely more of Secret Santa sometimes.
I like that.
Yeah, I love Secret Santa because then you can concentrate on one person and one big gift
instead of just a bunch of small ones.
So we more do that.
But then, of course, we say we do Secret Santa, but then my grandma ends up buying for me
and my sister anyway or my grandpa, you know, so.
My dad just hands out cash on Christmas.
See, that's what I want to do.
It's kind of cool, but I'm like, you put zero thought into this.
I don't like this.
I know.
I have not chopped yet.
Yeah.
My mom texted me and I was like, so do you still have shopping to do?
Because I do.
And I was like, so I told my mom this year, I only bought her a gift.
There's just too many people in my family.
I cannot deal.
And every year it's like either you don't think anyone's getting each other gifts and then
you show up and everyone's gotten you a gift and then you're empty handed or last year I bought
every single person a gift and no one else except Miley gave gifts.
So I just got really frustrated.
And I was like, this year I got my mom a gift in Africa and that's it.
I literally haven't shopped for anyone else.
But I would love it if we would all agree to do Dirty Santa.
white elephant or whatever it is or you draw names because I just get too overwhelmed with all my
siblings my parents are impossible to shop for it's just too hard for I can't imagine yeah your family
would be so hard to shop for it's insane the boys don't like anything like you can't get them
anything they like and then Miley Noah like don't need anything it's like what do you get the two
people that don't really need anything my mom's really picky my dad's always happy with like a flannel
or a scarf but like how many of those can you get me you know what I mean I get my grandpa like
it's a golf like a golf polo every year and it's like yeah
He has so many golf.
But if they use it, I guess it's good.
My mom always gets mad, though, because she hates when my dad wears scarves.
He wears them in this, like, all summer.
Year-round.
He's a scarf guy.
He's a year-round, scarf and glove guy.
I've never heard of that.
And my mom is so embarrassed by it.
She's like, don't stop buying him scarves.
Can he wears them in the summer?
That's amazing.
I'm just imagining your dad, like, he's like a traditional hipster.
Like the original hipster.
He just got a scarf on all the time.
And, uh, see, year round.
It's like, dad, it's 90 degrees outside.
They're comfortable.
I don't know what to tell you.
Most comfortable shoes out.
And I'm like, oh, here we go.
Oh, gosh.
Yeah, my family's pretty boring, too.
Like, everyone expects us to have all these crazy traditions or crazy stories, but we're so boring.
Like, we usually all get together.
This year, I'm pretty sure everybody's coming to Nashville, which is really exciting.
But, like, we get together.
We eat it, like, one in the afternoon so early.
And then we switch, like, give gifts, and then it's over.
And then we all just kind of go off and do our own separate thing.
It's, like, really not that exciting.
I know.
So, I don't know.
I wish I was, like, more like, Nashville and Poon.
Like, that kind of, you know, Chris is.
I just don't, you know.
But that's something I'm done.
definitely going to try and do like I said with my family so yeah I think that's cool yeah um Caitlin
mentioned she was like do you guys have any like holiday can you not uh can you not uh can you not
I was trying to think of some all day I just I know for me like it's really hard I'm not a big gift guy
I'm really not um I don't know about this whole like love do you know like the five love languages
yeah yeah okay gifts are like my bottom one oh really like yeah I just I don't know like I get really
awkward receiving them.
So, like, if someone gives me a gift, I do not want to open it in front of them.
Even, like, with my family, like, I get embarrassed opening gifts in front of my mom
because I know she's the one that bought the mom.
Like, yo, let's take them home and open them later, I guess.
But I just, so I have friends that are, like, so sweet.
And, like, for instance, you know, one of the girls that's renting my house was like,
so I left your Christmas present under the tree for you for when you come home.
And I'm like, oh, can you not?
Because I didn't get you a gift.
Like, it's too nice.
Stop being so nice.
So the same way. Have you seen that, like, meme or video of a little kid that opens
a president, it's an avocado? And he's like, oh, my God, thank you so much. Like, that's me when it
goes to gifts. I get so spoiled. I'm just like, oh, thank you so much, even if I don't like it or
whatever. So it's bad. So can you not give me gifts? And then you get, feel bad if you didn't
get them a gift. That is the worst. Luckily, I don't think that's a guy thing. I got,
none of my guys buy me gifts. That's, yeah, girls like love that stuff. And cards. They
love these, like, novel cards. It's not my thing. My sister and her friend do that all. They
write like novels to each other and like bubble
bubble letters and all that and it's just not a guy thing so no you're lucky you're lucky um well
we asked we both tweeted out and asked people to send us in some questions and i glanced through
and we're going to read through um all of them if we can but one of the ones that stood out to me
as i was looking through earlier um there was a girl on here i'm going to look for her name
but she was saying that she has a really hard time being friends with guys did you read this one
i did actually yeah yeah i remember what exactly it was but i do remember reading that so she was
I'm asking me, like, how I, she was like, do you see it? Can you read it?
How are you friends with, yeah. So this, oh, it's from, it's from the Bachelor Diaries.
Oh, great. Hala. Shout out. Shout out. So it says, yeah, Brandy, how are you friends with so many guys and do you ever get annoyed about being friend zoned? Or do you like it that way?
Yeah. And then, okay, then it was continued, continued and said, also, how do you let a guy know you're coming at him with friendship energy and you don't really like them like that? I feel like I say hello to a guy and he thinks I want to.
FM so I avoid male friendships. I like that friendship energy. Friendship energy. Yeah, that's,
that's friend zoning right there. Somehow I've become very good at friends zoning. It just happens
naturally to the extent where I feel like when I do like a guy, I have a hard time like translating
that because I'm just so used to being friends with guys. But the reason I maybe think of this is
because I feel like I've always been like a guy's girl and not a girl's girl for better or worse.
And I just, I don't know, I tend to relate a lot to guys like in that kind of sense and stuff. So I don't
know. I would say just like, be really clear up front about your intentions. Like, I'm a big
fan of like, hey, yeah, buddy, let's go do this, bro. Like, give a, you know, call on names. Yeah, your
language is big or whatever. And also, like, I don't know, I just feel like your energy. Like,
you just kind of have to be aware, but. And it's interesting that you say you're like a guy's
girl because honestly, like I've used that like when talking to guys. Like, I use that as a compliment
a lot about girls too. Like, that's not a bad thing. That's a great thing. It's like,
oh, she's so cool. She can hang with the guys. Like, she's a guy's girl. So, like, it's not a
bad thing at all if like that's what yeah what's your i don't know what you're going for or whatnot yeah so
my my advice to you would just be like set the tone right away call him buddy call him bro i don't know
i mean some some people are naturally kind of flirty you know and can be like flirtatious without
even trying but uh if that is the case then you've got to work extra hard on not being flirtatious and
flirty because i know a lot of people who don't sometimes i'll be honest sometimes i'm a little
flirty without really trying to be so it's hard sometimes yeah i guess that yeah but um
I feel like you got to figure this out, girlfriend, because you're missing out on some great guy friendships here.
Totally.
I love having guy friends.
So, figure it out.
All right.
Where's another one that you like?
Let's see.
Actually, yeah, how did you and Caitlin become friends?
This is from Victoria Bruno.
Should I use full name?
Should I use the handles instead?
I don't know how that works.
I actually, Olivia and I went on Caitlin's podcast.
That's the first time I met her.
I knew she lived in Nashville, and I don't know how we hadn't run into each other before.
But that was the first time I met her.
and we just really hit it off.
And then I think, like, literally the second or third hang,
she invited me to her birthday dinner.
And I was like, oh, my gosh, it feels so special.
And she went to meet her birthday.
And we just had so much fun and just really clicked and became really good friends.
So did you know was like Wells the first quote unquote bachelor nation person that I knew?
Is that how, I mean.
Yes, because I knew Wells before he went on.
Oh, okay.
So, I don't know, long story short, I've said, we've told the story a lot,
but somebody tried to set Wells not by a date, like a year before he went on the show.
friend vibes right off the bat so we just stayed friends and then he was hosting a couple of radio
shows but he asked me to come on and co-host his morning show with him so I started doing that a little
bit in Nashville and then that's when like the podcast was like a no-brainer for us so we started that but yeah
so well's went on came back and then obviously made like all these friends from it you know everyone
from each yeah exactly so tight so that following um fall we went to iHeart festival we were working
and that's when I met Ben Dean Peter Ashley I like the whole crew and I'm telling you all
once you meet one bachelor person, it's over.
It is over.
But worse or better?
It's over.
It's like they all hang out with each other.
It's like a very incestuous friend group.
Very.
But everyone's really great.
You know,
the good ones like flocked.
I was just going to say there's some good ones.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You guys all flock to each other though for sure.
Guys,
the college football playoff semifinals are almost here next Saturday,
December 29th.
Both games will be back to back on ESPN.
You know I'll be making bets.
It's what I do these days.
Kicking it off at 4 p.m.
Eastern.
Clemson will face Notre Dame in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
These two-storied programs last faced in 2015 with Clemson surviving by only two points,
and this year's matchup looks to be even more exciting.
But even when the first game is over, it only means that it's time to throw that second helping
of wings in the oven because Alabama and Oklahoma are playing in the Capital One Orange Bowl
at 8 p.m. Eastern, Alabama continues its dominance under coach Nick Sabin, entering the
game ranked first overall, not that it matters much to Oklahoma, who've won the last three
straight matchup against the Crimson Tide. God, I sound like I know I'm talking about. When it's all
over Saturday, the winner of these games will face each other in the national championship game
presented by AT&T on Monday, January 7th, only on ESPN. Let's see what else we got in here. I keep hearing
about this Fourth of July party. You missed out. I know, what is this? You missed out. I know, what was that
question what was it says uh from amanda allen favorite parts your fourth of july party
honestly like what was it started at noon and by two it starts to get blurry
it's what kind of party it was really really fun it was on my sister's house in nashville she had a huge
pool party uh katelyn came and honestly my favorite part the end of the night katelyn had had
a lot to drink and she was in the pool like by herself just like dancing and having the best time
in the pool and at one point she gets in the diving board and she
She just dives and, like, heels overhead, like, into the pool.
It was the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Oh, that's awesome.
I actually think there's a video of it somewhere that's pretty funny.
Okay, I've only seen one of these movies, so you might have to answer this.
Which movie has better dance moves, but loose her dirty dancing?
Oh, my God.
I've only seen dirty dancing.
That's the hardest question I've ever been asked.
Is it really?
Oh, my God, I don't even know what to do.
Oh, my God.
I'd have to go.
I'd have to say dirty dancing, just because of the ending, the last dance.
I have to. I need to watch. God, I love footloos too, though. You've never seen footloos?
Never seen it. I don't know. When that song comes on at the bar or the club, like, I lose my mind. I clear the dance floor. I lose my mind. I want to see that. Okay, I like this question. What are the three best things that happen to both of you in 2018?
Three best things. My 2018 has been pretty crazy. My 2018 has been a little strange.
Like, how about just like three favorite things? Yeah.
We'll just do like three favorite things.
It's a lot of pressure to like really filter through your three.
I know.
What are three like moments to stick out to me?
The first one would definitely be the live after the final rose where I like walked out with the horse.
Like that was just so out of my comfort zone and just so ridiculous.
Like I was just a completely normal person going out live in front of millions of people to say like even was like 90 seconds, you know, in front of millions.
But I was like freaking out.
I had this live, you know, 500 pound animal.
And it was just insane.
but to be able to like to get the confidence for that to do it and then I mean I think I did okay
and to walk off and be done and I was like wow like I can do anything in this point that's how I feel
walking off of that I was like God I can do anything so yeah that was that was definitely memorable
and then God is this bad they're all going to be bachelor related like oh well
then I went on the bachelor's uh no definitely and then honestly the first night in the mansion
so those were like honestly like a week apart yeah first night of the mansion was just it's so surreal
because, like, I watched the show before.
So being, it was so surreal being in the mansion and walking up on that ox and like.
You're like, you're like him with that.
Yeah.
A freaking animal.
Another livestock.
But, uh, and then just like that whole night's the picture take.
I remember the picture where they get us all together and they take that picture.
Yep.
And standing there just like, this can't be real.
Like, this is so weird.
So that one.
Uh, and then honestly, it was probably this year's, uh, I heart music fest, uh, in Vegas.
Oh, yeah.
That was super fun.
So much fun.
And that was just another.
weird surreal moment where like what am i doing land what am i doing here kind of thing yeah
why am i here but it was also a real it was a quick not a quick but it was a realization of like
what my life kind of is gonna be for the next whatever however small window it is uh because just
the opportunities that have come and stuff that was just like the highlight definitely for sure
very cool yeah um mine are mostly going to be travel related i feel so i think i think one of my
highlights of this past year is i got to i got to DJ the super bowl pre-pay
party in Minneapolis earlier this year.
Feels like a lifetime ago, but it was this year.
And Olivia went with me and kind of like a, she was like my hype man for my stuff and
then went to some parties.
But it was a blast.
So that was probably my favorite gig I've played this year.
So it stands out.
Second thing, Iceland.
I also did that with Olivia.
But if you guys don't know, we rents it an RV and drove the entire island in eight days
and got to see Iceland.
It was epic.
Your pictures are incredible.
Once in a lifetime experience.
You know what I mean?
And I thought it couldn't be topped.
And then I just went to South Island.
Africa, which is my third one. And again, just like absolutely magical. My mind is just blown away.
I hardly have words to even explain it. It was the greatest place I've ever been. I just absolutely
loved it. And to get to be out in the middle of the literal wilderness with wild animals like that,
everyone should do it once, put it on your bucket list, do it before you die. It's absolutely incredible.
That's awesome. So do you normally travel like this? Or this has been a year of just like,
this has been a year of travel. Okay. Okay. I was like two, I guess two years ago, my New Year's
resolution was to travel more. And I told myself I wanted to do one service trip and one fun
trip every single year. That was my goal. And so last year I had planned on Honduras with Ben,
which I did. And then I planned on Greece with my mom and my sister for our birthday, which we did.
But then Iceland happened last minute and South Africa happened last minute. And I just,
I don't say no to travel. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I ended up doing a lot. But I'm excited to go back to
Honduras with H&H and generous again in February.
Yeah.
Get my service trip in.
That'll be fun.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to make that.
Do you like to travel?
I do.
I say I do,
but then I haven't traveled very much.
What's like your top three like places you have to see before you die?
So honestly, like I,
so I'm a huge history buff.
I love history.
So I really would love to just visit Europe and go to like some World War II battlefields.
Like that's, yeah.
Like that'd be amazing for me.
I don't know why I love that so much.
So really honestly,
anywhere in Europe.
Germany, I think, would be incredible.
I think I'm in it not, I mean, obviously, like, beauty is incredible.
Like, Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu is my number one.
I would die.
I would die.
I would die to go to Machuji.
I've never stepped foot in South America.
Really?
Like, I want to do, like, the whole, I want to leave for a month and do the whole continent.
Yeah.
I think you'd have to.
Yeah.
I would love, I would die to see Machu Picchu.
That's definitely number one.
Yeah, like any kind of Inca or Aztec ruins, anything like that.
I love those.
That'd be super cool.
You got to do it.
I know, I know.
Make it your resolution.
I need to start.
Once my life slows down a little bit, I'm just going to travel.
Okay, I got...
Yeah, go ahead.
So I'm just going to go ahead and give the people what they want.
Oh, what do they want to hear?
I got a couple DMs about the whole Christina podcast on Olivia's podcast.
Sorry, my best friend just aired out all your dirty laundry there on your pod.
Gosh, Olivia.
I know.
I was hoping to give her crap.
I was hoping to meet her in the way.
Did she bail early?
What happened?
No, we just stayed in bail longer than we were supposed to.
We had blast snowboarding.
I was way better this stuff.
Oh, I was actually have some questions about supporting, too.
Did you get off the bunny hill and everything?
I didn't even go to the bunny hill.
No,
we went straight up.
I rode the gondola.
It was terrifying.
They got me on the gondola.
Went up and what is green,
like the easiest ones?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Blue green.
Oh,
I don't know.
Whatever I just wanted us.
We did that.
And I went down twice.
You felt pretty good about it.
I did.
Grant,
my friend Grant,
he like lives on skis.
He skis every single day.
And he does snowboard a little bit too.
So he helped me.
And he was way better for me.
For me because he kind of pushed me more.
Yeah.
He knows me a little bit like the,
Yeah, the instructor just kind of baby me, I felt like, which I needed because it was day one.
But Grant was just kind of like, no, we're going up the hill.
You're doing it.
This is what you're doing.
Put me on my toes right away.
I was like, I haven't even done that.
And he was like, you got to just figure it out.
But we had a blast.
We didn't really great.
I say, I saw a video of you on the gondola, the lift.
And I was like, hoping to see a video of you trying to get off.
I was like, she just faceplate.
Grant was like, okay, you're going to sit on my right so that when you get off, I can hold you up.
I was like, okay, perfect.
And the first time I got off was real bad.
Like if I hadn't been there, I would have fallen for sure.
But the second time wasn't as bad.
Good, good.
Scary though.
Anyway, anyway, you know, I know.
What are your, I actually listened to it this morning.
Yeah, I listened to the, yeah, I mean, I listened to the whole thing.
I mean, honestly, it was an awesome podcast.
I was awesome here at Christina's back, so I hadn't really heard it in detail like that.
So that was pretty cool.
But as far as like what she said about me and her, I mean, I don't have any like tea.
Like everything she said was right on the money.
I mean, she was honest.
We, she basically tagged me.
so how we met or started talking is yeah she tagged me in like a story of hers after the finale
I sent back like a thank you or something uh and then we started chatting hit it off
we hung out a couple times it was amazing we really did it was great uh but you know right now
our lives she lives a thousand miles away and like right now both of our lives are pretty
crazy um and so we just felt like right now timing wasn't right and you know who knows in the future
i'm not going to sit here and say that it's a possibility or anything but right now we just
decided we couldn't give each other what she won't you know i couldn't give her what she wants and
vice versa so um yeah i mean unfortunately she was right on like i'm not going to sit here and say that
she's you know she said anything wrong because it was exactly that it was that just right now we feel
like um i can't give her what she needs and my life's pretty crazy and yeah so i thought it was pretty
cool um for her to say like i you know i hate to use the word relationship because you guys
weren't really dating yeah but it was cool for her to say like that yours your guys's relationship was
like one of the most mature that she's had, right?
Like, for you to have the maturity to say like, hey, the timing's not good.
Like, I can't give you what you want.
I thought that was really cool for her to say that.
Yeah, and we were very open with each other.
Yeah, and we were very open to each other the entire time.
Like, I mean, at no point was I, you know, telling her something that I knew couldn't
happen.
I was completely open with her.
So, yeah.
And I thought, yeah, I thought it was interesting too during she said there was at no point
how did we give each other 100%, which can be kind of a bad thing because,
you never know what could have came out of that possibly,
but at no point we were able to give each other 100%.
Right.
Oh, wait.
I love this question.
Last question.
How much does Blake bench press?
Are we talking like my PR or currently?
Because I've been going on a lot of club appearances.
Oh, my bench press.
Oh, my God.
So I'll give my PR, so I'm talking about right now.
I was 240 pounds in college playing football.
So it was a big boy.
And I was like.
So how much do you?
wait now like 190 if you think my next big now you should have sold well it's 240 oh my god but i mean
i don't honestly i don't know i don't really want to answer uh okay well that's just funny to me um okay
wait actually last question though because we we can't leave this podcast without answering it
everyone wants to know if we're dating oh i know i probably should save this exclusive news for my
podcast but here we are no blake and i are not dating we're just friends we're really good friends
I'll get DM that on the daily.
Yeah, so I'm sure like half of you are slightly disappointed
and the rest of you are probably like,
yeah, it's still available, woo!
So, yeah, that's it.
Yeah.
So these days, you can get practically everything on demand like our podcast.
Listen, whatever you want, when it's convenient for you,
but did you know that you can even get postage on demand?
All you need is stamps.com.
With stamps.com, you can access all the services of the post office right from your desk.
You guys know I'm all about convenience.
You can buy and print real U.S. postage for any letter or any package.
It's available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
and all you have to do is just click, print, mail, and boom, you're done.
Stamps.com will even send you a digital scale.
That way you can weigh your letters and packages
and print the exact same amount of postage every time.
And you know what?
Now that I'm running a small business with due edit on top of the podcast and everything else,
every second counts.
So that's why Stamps.com is actually a real life saver.

Now back to Off the Vine, Great Therapy.
All right, well, I promise Caitlin we'd give her a call.
Let's do it.
Let's dial her in, see if she's got a voice.
See how she's feeling.
See how she's feeling.
Yeah.
Hello?
Hi.
Oh, my gosh, you guys, I'm in the middle of a seminar talking about, I'm a relationship therapist and expert.
Oh, my gosh.
And I'm in an elevator, removing myself from the situation to be a part of my podcast.
Oh, my gosh.
That's commitment right there.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay, I'm here.
I am ready.
And I'm probably missing a lot of information.
But it's okay.
I've got my friend taking notes.
Oh, good.
You sound better.
You do.
Oh, my gosh.
You guys, I feel, okay, I don't know if it's because my doctor gave me a steroid pack.
So he said, okay, he said, Kailen, I'm going to give you a steroid pack, but you can't think
you're okay and go partying in New York.
when you're there
because it's just going to
like basically numb you
and make you think
you're okay
but it's just going to
help you get through
this virus
so I took
I'm on day two
of the steroid pack
and I feel like
a million bucks
are you in New York
yeah yeah
I just got here today
to come to the seminar
to be
I'm literally
like I just left
this like
she's like a motivational
speaker
I'm having her on my
podcast on Saturday
about relationships
and her and
husband. He's from Canada. She's from America. And they do seminars on like healthy relationships
and like self-love. And I'm like, I'm like, got to go. I have a podcast. My own. They're like,
we your priorities are. Yeah, my priorities with great therapy, okay? That sounds super cool.
Wait, when do you get back? Because I get snashed for on Friday. Yeah, I haven't booked it yet.
This is classic, Caitlin. I'm just like, I don't know, I'll book it when I decide to go back.
Oh my gosh. What's going on? How's the podcast?
It's going great.
It's going good.
Done some Q&A's, talked about the holidays a little bit, announced to the world that
Blake and I are not dating.
Oh, okay.
So they're still going to question things after.
Probably, yes.
Yep.
Yeah, okay.
Good, good.
What else?
Well, actually, Brandy did it, can you not?
Oh, I did not do one.
Oh, were we doing the holiday version?
Yes.
I did do the holiday version.
Yeah.
Okay.
And what were some of your can you not?
Because I could add to it.
My big can you not was like, can you not?
buy me a gift because gifts make me feel really awkward and I didn't get you a gift and like this
is just a problem for me.
You actually stole my can you knot and I'm just going to prepare you right now that any time I
try and laugh.
So that was funny because that's totally my can you knot.
I am the worst gift giver in the whole entire world and I'm like, I'm sentimental but I'm not
thoughtful.
So if you give me a gift, I'm going to hang on to it.
Yeah, I'm the same.
I don't expect the same in return because I don't, I'm not a gift giver.
Like, that's just not, that's not my thing.
I will, like, cook you the most beautiful meal.
I will pour you a nice glass of wine, but that's all you're going to get from me.
Is your love language acts of service?
You know what?
I never knew that until recently.
And I used to, in my last relationship, I don't know if you guys know anything about that.
No, nothing.
I used to be like, nobody really knows anything about it.
I'd be like, you know what?
I'm like, oh, how do you not see how much I love you?
Like, I cook you dinner every night.
And then I'm like, oh, my God, I should love an acts of service.
That's what I do.
I do.
But that's so weird, because is that what makes you feel loved?
Yes, 100%.
Oh, really?
And I'm not like that.
No, me either.
Like, acts of service does nothing for me.
I'm like, I know you're a words of affirmation guy, right?
I'm a big words of affirmation guy.
Like, please tell me how good I am at something, how good my hair looks today, how funny I
am that I'm like killing it like I don't care if you hold my hand or play with my hair or give
me a diamond ring like just tell me I'm pretty yeah yeah makes sense yeah yeah I'm huge sentimental
too is what like I'm up to the point where I'm like a hoarder when it comes to like yeah yeah I hold
on it I have t-shirts from way back because I can't let go of it yeah I actually got stopped at
the border one time I didn't have a return ticket to Canada from the state and they started going
through my wallets wondering why I was hanging on to like concert tickets and asking me questions and I was
like I don't know because I'm really sentimental like I just I like to hang on to things and um like I have
boxes of things that I'm like I should probably let this go but I can't do it yeah I'm sorry I have a I have a good
old black shoebox with some of the exes some of the ex's stuff in there for sure I do
yeah oh my God key why is it a shoebox I totally have a few shoes do yeah yeah yeah it's a thing
You just keep it in a shoebox.
It's like a sentimental shoebox.
That's got to be in like a bunch of movies that we've seen.
And we were like subconsciously brainwashed.
You know what?
That's a good call.
I'm sure we've seen it in movies.
And that's like the other day I was watching the holiday, one of my favorite Christmas movies.
And I like found myself being like, oh my gosh, I try and force myself to cry like Cameron Diaz does sometimes.
Like I really like Caitlin, like just shed a tear.
Like you robot, are you okay?
And then other times, like other weeks I'm like sobbing.
like, what's the other character in it?
I don't know what her name is.
Yeah.
And then I'm like, Kate Winslet the next week.
And I'm like, hey, stop, you weirdo.
I love it.
Christmas movie.
Do you have a favorite Christmas movie, Blake?
Ooh, um, diehard.
No, I'm just kidding.
I actually don't think, no, it's not.
I don't think it's a Christmas movie.
I'm on the side that doesn't think diehard's a Christmas movie.
But I would have to say, Home Alone is my favorite.
Oh, yeah, classic.
Home Loan's my favorite.
Me too.
My top three are Home Alone, One and Two, Tide.
I'm going to give them both that one and two placement.
And then my other two favorite Christmas movies are the Family Stone.
Have you guys seen that one?
Oh, yeah.
And then a Muppet Christmas Carol.
Oh, I don't like I've seen that.
What about Rudolph?
What about Elf?
I was just going to say Elf might be a close to.
I mean, Elf is like not even a Christmas movie for me.
Like, I will watch that in March.
It's just one of my favorite movies.
Yeah, yeah.
I want to know what else you guys.
What other questions have people asked you?
Like, what's going on in this podcast?
I feel like I was very capable of recording.
tonight, but I was traveling, and I'm also on steroids, and I feel like it's just better off
if you guys do this for me.
So, like, what other questions?
Are people gossiping?
A little bit, but everyone was pretty, like, chill.
Yeah, I was just saying.
What do you do in Denver?
How much does Blake bench press?
Oh, what's the answer to that?
I didn't, I decided not to answer that.
I've been on a lot of bar appearances lately, Caitlin's.
Wait, Blake, here's my question for you.
Tell me your craziest vexed.
Vegas story from Vegas this past weekend.
Oh, the craziest Vegas story this last weekend.
Honestly, I mean, I'm a big, so you've met Kane Brown.
You did a podcast with him, right?
I did.
Yeah.
So, okay, I got a story for you.
So we were talking to Kane Brown, and we mentioned you and, like, Bachelor Nation and everything.
And he was like, I'll be honest.
He's like, that was the worst podcast.
He's like, I was just off my game that day.
He's like, I couldn't talk for some reason.
He was like, my team did all the talking.
He's like, I felt so bad.
That's so funny because I'm like obviously like, I mean, I can hold my own and I can keep
a conversation going and if somebody's awkward, I will go out of my way to like keep the
conversation going.
And so I brought my dad.
Like my dad was having such a proud dad day where he came to my, I recorded a song, he
heard me sing and I'm like, yeah, next up like podcast with a big country star.
And then I feel like I like failed my dad.
I was like, that was the worst interview I've ever done.
And my dad was like, no, no, no, you did so good.
And he's just like, I think Kane is such a, like, good guy.
I think he's just shy.
And I'm like, okay.
And I was obviously being hard on myself.
And then I listened back at people were like, oh, my gosh.
Like, that was like pulling teeth.
And I'm like, yeah, but we all have bad days.
Like, I've done interviews so many times where I'm like, the last thing I want to do is talk to this person.
I just heard them talking shit about me through the whole season.
And now I have to be kind.
And like, not that I talk shit about Kane, but like he probably had an off day, a bad day.
And it sucks because that.
He's a human being, and people were like, oh, that was such a tough interview.
And I'm like, eh, you know what?
I filled it up with some, like, you know, like conversation about what happened between the relationship.
And then I, like, got to interview, like, somebody who's really talented.
And he was having, like, I don't know if it was an off day or he's just shy or I didn't know.
But at the end of it, it was like the last five minutes he, like started to open up and we did the moonwalk.
And I'm like, you know, you want to go back and, like, do this interview again?
he definitely went out of his way to be like oh i just was so off so i mean he had nothing
good but good things to say but he said that yeah so but he was awesome to see live too i love his
music so that was a pretty cool he's so talented oh so that's your dirty Vegas story that you
well i'm not going to sit here and tell some dirty Vegas what happens in Vegas stays on the gram
no um but there was one cool moment where it was for for canes um concert before it
me and Jason and Colton were kind of backstage and we it was right before
Kane was about to get on so the crowd was starting to you know was huge and we kind of peeped
our heads around the curtain and the crowd started kind of getting kind of louder and louder
when they started seeing us which was bizarre and Kane turns and goes is that for you guys
he was just so like who are you guys so that was pretty funny that was funny that is funny
because it's like I mean the majority of like country fans are like I mean let's be honest
Fans in general are women.
Like, you don't see guys hooting and hollering in the audience.
Like, me, like, whew! Oh, my God, I love you.
You're so hot.
Like, guys just don't do that.
Girls do.
So I always say when guys come off the show, as if you guys don't feel like
fucking rock stars or, like,
just believers, like, coming off a TV show and, like, being backstage at, like, a big
time, like, actual talented person who's, like, worked his whole life for this moment.
And the girls are hooting and hollering at you for being on The Bachelorette, like,
backstage.
Like, if I was a...
artist I'd be like get out of my life I would be like I'm not bringing them back
I feel guilty I feel guilty half the time there was one time I was at a concert and there was a
meet and greet the artist had a meet and greet and I walked by and they left out of his line
to come take pictures with me and I was like oh my god I was like I feel so awful like you said
they worked their whole life they're actually talented and then I was on a television show where I just
happened to fall in love like but at the same time you got to soak it up because that ain't
go laugh. Oh, I know. I'm very much aware.
I mean, you are hot right now, but
you will be taken down a few
notches. Yeah, a year from now, I won't be
guest podcasting on the
great therapy. You've got to come up
with you, you got to like start a podcast.
You've got to like really ride the wave.
Oh, boy. Otherwise, yeah, it doesn't
last. I'm already drowning in the
wave. I'm already exhausted.
You're just dropping followers like fly.
But you've got a weighted comforter to comfort you at night.
You know what?
If you're having anxiety over everything, at least you have your weighted comforter and use
closed Lake 15.
I saw your story the other day making fun of it.
I laughed pretty hard out loud.
Well, just so you know, I'm not just singling you out.
No, I know.
Actually, like, I'm not kidding.
I tried the weighted comforter and I shouldn't chirp it because I am a huge fan.
I was like, whoa, this actually is a game changer.
You're like, so I should be the one with this ad.
I'm like, why am I not getting paid to promote this?
I definitely believe in the product, but I'm just proud at this point.
My ego getting in the way here.
I hate when that happened.
Yeah, we all know how that feels.
I got a question for you.
Okay, this is the hardest question I think I've ever been asked.
Which movie has better dance moves, footloose or dirty dancing?
Yep.
Okay, you guys, this is where I'm going to be really ashamed.
This can be a concession.
For me, okay, I danced my whole life, big, like, I will watch anything that has to do with singing and dancing, and I've never seen footloose or dirty dancing.
What?
I've never seen footloose.
How, who are you guys?
How have you not seen dirty dancing?
I don't know.
We got to do that next week.
I've recorded it.
I've been like, I'm going to put, you know, I'm going to sit down, I'm going to watch this, and I'll fall asleep or I'm, like, too busy, or I'm, like, scroll on the scroll on Instagram.
Like, I don't know.
It's like every time I go to put it on, it doesn't turn out well for me, and I'm, like, ashamed of myself for it.
Well, we can do it next week.
I say, you're going to have to binge watch both those.
Wait, wait, we need to tell everybody, we're all going to have a big, big get-together in Denver.
So we'll watch dirty dancing, and we'll go skiing and snowboarding brandy.
I've seen you've been, like, trying your best at snowboarding.
I sure.
You know, people only like videoing me when I'm not doing well, and then once I start getting it,
and like shredding the gnar as Olivia says once I start shredding all the cameras go away
so I actually made it down the hill several times by myself yesterday and no one captured it
trust well I'll be there to capture it because you know what the last time I went snowboarding
I was in Austria and I almost died I went down the wrong hill and I actually like I was like
getting all like cocky because I was getting good and I'm like I'm in Austria like I'm such a
no water and I went down and I actually fell like I went into a nose dive and my feet I'm trying
to paint a picture here my feet came up over like the back of my head like a scorpion yeah yeah scorpion
scorpion and my and my feet like touched my nose and I like couldn't move for four days and I thought
I broke my back and I almost died and I'm being very dramatic but that you are and we're going
need to redeem that when you get out here
in bail. So I haven't gone since
and that was when I was like, I don't know, I'm like 27
I'm 33 now. So I'm like
now I'm just a wolf to get back
out there, but I really miss it. So
I feel like when we're all in Denver
in January, we should just go
and like somebody just needs to like
give me a little kick in the butt. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, it'll be good. I will say
Adam didn't ski because he heard his ankle or something
but Grant was great and teacher. I feel like
those guys are the ones to go with. So we'll
go. We'll get a big group. We'll all go. We'll go.
It was super fun.
Grant and Adam are amazing.
Adam is Cleo.
Everyone knows Cleo by now.
Cleo's boyfriend and Grant is his twin brother and they're just like, Blake, have you met
them?
No, I haven't.
You'll love them.
They're awesome.
Oh, they're such solid.
Colorado boys.
Oh, Wisconsin, actually.
Oh, there was.
Atta boys.
Would you say Blake?
I said they were Colorado.
I didn't realize they were from Wisconsin.
He's like Colorado boys, but they're from Wisconsin.
They live here.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, they're amazing.
Are you guys at the beginning or the end of the podcast?
We're at the end.
It's time to wrap it up.
Blake and I have a hockey game to attend.
That's another thing we'll have to do when you come out.
Oh, yeah.
The avalanches?
Yes, ma'am.
Do you put that plural?
Is that plural?
We're actually playing Canada tonight.
Oh, are we?
Montreal.
Montreal.
Oh, Montreal's going to win.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm so jealous.
Can we look into a game if I...
Absolutely.
That'd be awesome.
I mean, I'm kind of a hockey fan.
I got some contacts.
I'll hit up, so...
Oh, yeah, bro.
Is it like we're going to sit in the crowd
and everyone's going to pay attention?
to us and not the hockey player.
No, I'll be on the ice, so.
Oh, yeah, I'll go.
Let's sing the national anthem and see how that goes.
Oh, I'm going to opt out of that.
Yeah, me too.
Yeah, we'll leave that up to you, Caitlin.
Oh, yeah, just kidding.
I don't know.
You sing okay.
That was stupid.
That was stupid.
Oh, Lord.
All right, well, hey, Caitlin, stay on.
Okay.
But I, I would just tell everybody goodbye.
Yeah.
Thanks for letting us fill in for Caitlin.
Yeah, hopefully we didn't disappoint too much.
Hopefully it didn't suck.
No, I love that you guys filled in for me.
I feel like a guilty asshole because I actually feel really great today,
but yesterday I was kind of on my deathbed.
So thank you for taking over.
No problem.
Anytime.
I appreciate you guys.
And all you have to say at the end of the podcast is your session is now ending, okay?
I'm going to let Blake have, take the honors there.
I introed.
Why do we all sit at the same time?
Oh, I have my therapy voice going.
He did.
I can interrupt me.
My therapy voice.
Yeah.
In our best therapy voice on three, we will say your session is now ending.
Ready?
Yep.
One, two, three.
Your session is now.
