Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story. Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge, there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice. And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am. It's not just any audiobook. This is a full cast performance. So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry, brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
Starting point is 00:00:25 And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads Sing is Mr. Darcy. And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything. Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix. Talk about a dream cast. Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics, and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy. And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
Starting point is 00:00:58 So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again. So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen. We're on with OTV. Podcast One presents Off the Vine, Grace Therapy. Caitlin Bristow's going to answer your questions. Drink to your confessions and hear what you have to say about anything Bachelor. Let's shake it up some more. Here's Caitlin.

Now back to Off the Vine Grape Therapy.
Starting point is 00:02:42 All right, happy Thursday. Welcome to Grape Therapy. Today on the pod, we have former member of the trio Stealing Angels, which scored two top 50 country radio singles. Before they went their separate ways, then went to join the amazing race on season 20. and 24. Yeah. Two. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:59 We almost won the second time. I'm like looking at my notes, I'm like, where she missed the winning first place and $1 million by four seconds. I know. I bet you're like every time, you're like too soon. Too soon. No, it's okay. No, it's been a couple years.
Starting point is 00:03:11 It was just like four seconds away from a million dollars. And second place is only $25,000. So it's quite a drop. That's insane. And you also have a podcast where you interview the wives of country music's biggest stars and influential stars themselves. your podcast is all about honest women having honest talk which is definitely something I can get behind
Starting point is 00:03:31 please welcome to the pod Caroline Hobby thank you I always want to play like a soundbite of like a like a woooo and people clapping I'm like nope there's birds chirping outside we're at my house in my podcast studio and it's not like isn't it of me I'm just obsessed with it do you just stay in here all the time
Starting point is 00:03:50 yeah most of the time I do all my emails in here podcasts uh huh hang out it's my ladies lounge But the only problem is it's not soundproof. Like, it needs to be soundproofed because then you can hear airplanes and the birds chirping. And I mean, it's kind of nice. It adds like a raw, real effect to it. We're talking about when we get anxiety about the podcast not recording, but I just looked we're good. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I just did one the other day. And I just, I couldn't find it on my recorder. And, like, I had, I guess I had recorded like a couple things after it. And they were like nine seconds long and just silence. And I was like, oh, great. It was like a great conversation. course and I would be like the last thing I want to do is ask this woman to come have this conversation again and you can never get it back no no no it's never the same that's I mean I was telling you that happened to me and it was really really deep conversation and we had to go back and it just wasn't the same the second time no oh it's terrible it's terrible absolutely terrible but tell me about your podcast okay it's called get real with Caroline hobby and it is all about just chatting with badass women love it a lot of country music women and artists but women and general like yourself you should come on it i would love to come on your podcast well it's a date okay
Starting point is 00:05:00 i'm gonna follow up with you done um but women who are just like badasses doing their life vulnerable real someone i started with country music wives because so many of these women are married to superstars yeah and you see their instagram real and everything looks so beautiful and glamorous and everyone thinks that you have this like perfect life and they do have an amazing life but then there's this whole other side of them that i feel like sometimes doesn't get featured right and a lot them are my friends because my husband's in a band called A Thousand Horses and so we're in the country music world and so I was like you know what I'm going to just spotlight some of these
Starting point is 00:05:31 incredible women because they're all so strong so strong doing so many great things so passionate and it's just been great I've really loved it's a really good idea because I like Kaylee Dickerson is one of my really good friends and she does a shit ton of stuff like she is she's like a producer yeah she does everything for Russell and they're like such they're so sweet
Starting point is 00:05:54 power couple. And they are. They're a power couple. And she does so much. But he, you know, he's the star. And I always love talking to her because I'm like, you're the real star. He's the talent and he's a star. You know, but she is doing all the heavy lifting behind the scenes. And she's just so wonderful. So I think that's a really cool idea. And I do find that any kind of stars wise or partners, even athletes, they're these rocks in people's lives. And they probably have so many stories because I used to date a hockey player. and that life was not for me but all these women who could do that and you know had a family and they went for yeah that they you included so it's just strong women and it's nice that you're featuring them like that because you are pregnant right now pregnant with a little girl oh my gosh is this your first yes that is so exciting i interviewed your husband on a red carpet once oh michael and a thousand horses very tall wear the hat yes so good looking yeah yes sure I did, because I was doing the 50th anniversary for the CMAs. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And I played games with all the people who came down the red carpet and I've got the game here for us to play after. But we're going to give you a chance to redeem him. Did he like suck it out of that? I don't remember. I don't actually remember. I think they did okay. I don't even know if he was the one that answered them, but I just wanted to play a game with you anyways. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:15 So that's cool that you're doing that with your podcast. You're pregnant. That's what we were. Oh, yeah. With your first little girl, do you have names picked out? Obviously, don't tell me. Yes, we have a name. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:07:24 And you both agreed on it right away. You came up with it and I just fell in love with it. Really? When are you due? End of August, beginning of September. Okay. I randomly went to lunch with a psychic, which I have given up psychics. I used to love to psychics.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Oh, why did you give him up? I love psychics. Oh, gosh. Tell me why. I gave him up because my piano started playing itself. Yeah. Oh, what? This one note over and over again.
Starting point is 00:07:44 What? Yes. And then my husband, he had been drinking a lot of tequila one night, but he's, he's probably to be mad of me for telling him this because he's not into psychics. I'm drinking tequila right now. he saw this like figure of a woman in our stairwell one time and he might have been just the tequila and he's not into psychics and stuff like that and so I don't know I just started feeling like our house is haunted I started feeling like I was tapping in too much to other that realm and I just really only like to have good positive energy around me and I'm like I don't need any more answers in my life yeah I'm gonna just trust in God and have faith and I don't want to tap into all that because I think there's some negativity out there yeah there can be yeah and I just I just don't want to get the wrong energy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:26 So I was like, I'm good. You can shut it off? Yeah, I stopped completely. Wow, cool. I was addicted for a long time. Yeah, I could be if I allowed myself to go there. I think they just read your energy is what I've realized. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I think psychics just sort of. Like, they see that you're into it. So then they're like, oh, she believes me. Or they have an ability to like pick up maybe on like some your wavelengths or something, but they're kind of telling you what you're thinking is what I think. I don't know. I don't know anything. Anyway, so I accidentally went to lunch with a psychic.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah. It was an accidental meeting. We went to lunch with the songwriter friend, and he was writing with another friend, and her manager happens to also be able to talk to dead people and psychics. And she said that our baby girl was in come three weeks early. Really? So that would be mid-August. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:09 So that's what I'm saying now, end of August. Now, okay, now if she is right, I might take a psychic back into my life. But since she's an accidental psychic, I feel like it's okay. What do you mean accidental? Like, you didn't mean to... I stumbled upon her by accident. I did not... Was it an accident?
Starting point is 00:09:24 Maybe she came to me. I don't know. Maybe what we were meant to meet. But I didn't seek her out. All right. I think I have a spirit in my house. How do you know? But a good one, not a negative energy. Okay, how do you know? Because one time we were, it was me and my ex, we were here and we had just talked to a medium. And Sean had said something about, he wasn't quite sure about that kind of thing. And I said, well, you just have to ask them for a sign.
Starting point is 00:11:08 You just talked to a medium. She gave you a lot of information that you were very surprised at and that she couldn't just Google. Right. You need to now ask for a sign. And we were redoing the bedroom. And so we were sleeping upstairs on a mattress. on the floor. And in the middle of the night, it was like 2.30 in the morning, the TV just turned on down here and the sound went all the way up. And at first, we didn't know. We thought somebody
Starting point is 00:11:32 was in the house. So we called 911 because we thought there was people in our house. We didn't realize it. We panicked. It was very quick. 911 thought somebody, then we're like, is somebody trying to lure us downstairs? Yeah. Because, like, there's something going on. Like, why is the TV up full blown? Yeah. And then eight cops came and showed up at the house and had to do like this full walk around and we were like so embarrassed and they said yeah no no one's down here we're like the tv just turned on out of nowhere and they're like that's crazy but sometimes we get calls like when people think they heard something and something's happened and then they believe there's spirits in their house but that's what i believe there is a spirit because that happens now
Starting point is 00:12:13 every so often is the tv will just turn on does it freak you out no why not i don't know because i'm like well it's probably just Sean's grandpa he was we asked him for a sign he gave it to us okay yeah I don't know why it freaked me out to have like communication what did you feel things or did you did you see anything I have a wild imagination yeah so I don't know if I've made things up on my own yeah yeah but like I did feel like cold feelings yeah that's yes and um I don't know I had someone come over and uh sage it I sage all the time but I do I had someone come over and, like, cleanse it, like one of those people who... Yeah, like a cleanser.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah, I don't know what they're called, but they... Like a spiritual cleanser. Yes, I had some come over and, like, do the house. And then you didn't feel it anymore. No. That's awesome. And then that was when I shut the door on psychics. Right.
Starting point is 00:13:07 And I was like, mm, no more for me. That's crazy. What did you do growing up to be like that? Like, to be so imaginative? I grew up in Waco, Texas. Okay. And which is now on the map because of Chip and Joanna. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:22 In Magnolia. Yes. Oh. Yes. It's kind of, we had, we didn't really have like, we had David Cush and Branch Divideans, which was a cult before. Okay. That put us on the map.
Starting point is 00:13:31 And now we have fixer uppers. So it's wonderful. But really traditional life. Like mom and dad's still married, older sister, went to high school college. And, you know, most people just have like normal lives. Also, did you just hear that? Yeah. Was that your ice machine?
Starting point is 00:13:47 Oh, okay. We'll go with that. I mean, I was like, there was a knocking, and I was like, wait, wait, you're right. That's what I was saying. Go on. I wanted to freak you out. Really wants to come in. Anyways.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Yes. But I just always wanted to be like a performer or a singer or an actor or a model. I didn't know anything about like hosting and podcasting in that whole world. So it was like the obvious. Like what are the things that you feel like you can obviously perform in? Right. So I always was chasing that. That was me too.
Starting point is 00:14:15 I always wanted to perform. I was like I wanted to be a dancer I want to be a singer I want to do anything that's performing and then when I went on the show I was like oh podcasting okay that's how I was with Amazing Race like I had done singing and like a music career because I
Starting point is 00:14:30 thought that was like an avenue to pursue it and then I went on Amazing Race and I was like oh my gosh there's a whole world where you can use your personality for a job isn't that lovely yes so do you ever sing with your husband no I'll sing around the house and stuff but I kind of like quit singing all together for like two years like I just like stopped just because just well I'm sort of extreme with everything in my life so when I like stopped music I just like cold stopped yeah and I just sort of like smoking I just sort of like took a break yeah and now I have just been like singing around again and like liking to sing again oh that's cool yeah but I kind of stopped for a while oh I did that with dancing you cold stopped yeah sometimes you just have to like give yourself
Starting point is 00:15:15 a break. Yeah, I was kind of losing my passion for it as well, and I moved and I just kind of was over it, but now I'm like, why did I do that? Well, I think it's good to remember why you love it. Yeah. Well, I go back now, I did a dance for my scrunchy launch, and I was like, I saw that. In the studio, I was like,
Starting point is 00:15:33 this is my happy place. I loved it. Okay, we need to talk about Amazing Race. How are you four seconds? Oh, my gosh. And you know Jen Wayne, don't you? Yeah. She's my partner on Amazing Race. okay okay we were in bands together forever okay okay we were like partners in life for 10 years okay doing music and amazing rice and um we we were like the two blondes that no one was scared of they thought that we were just they weren't worried about us right but you are two
Starting point is 00:16:01 fierce badass women you're like uh-uh but we were just like always so nice and yeah laughing our way through the whole experience yeah and we just got really far we we never fought each other we because we kind of made a vow to each other that we were going to assume the best in each other yeah and we were going to just do it the best that we could and so we never like self-destructed within each other we made a lot of friends probably part of the battle like I feel like when people go on they probably fight each other and that's yes can ruin things for them oh people just fall apart yeah yeah and so we made a lot of good allies and we just we just I don't know we had different strengths and we were able to just to finagle it and like get to the end and
Starting point is 00:16:43 So we were at the last, we were in Las Vegas and we like went up on the top of a, the Mirage. Oh, my gosh. A hotel. Yeah. In one of those window wiper things. Yeah. And we had to put all the light bulbs in the letter I on the top of the mirage.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Wait, I weren't. Do they do the same things over and over? Or was that? I remember this episode and I don't, I haven't watched very many. I don't think they probably do the same challenges. So you probably thought. Were you, was Rachel Riley on your? Is she from Big Brother?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Big Brother? Yes. We were nemesis. okay that's why I remember her and Brendan the brinchels yes god oh my gosh that's so funny I remember that the brinchels hated us and we well like they had
Starting point is 00:17:26 did they win no they got third okay okay okay wait yeah they got third you beat him yes okay oh Rachel was I mean I thought Rachel was nice but then we just had a turning point in the middle of the season where we just went in different alliances and just after that, it was over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Yeah. Anyway. I mean, they're not the most loved couple out there. They weren't on Big Brother. Are they still together? Yeah. Yeah, they have a baby now. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Well, she just went back on Amazing Race with like, another girl, not Brendan. Oh. Yeah. Well, I didn't know that. I just saw her on the preview. I was like, oh, okay. Yeah, so we had done really well on our challenges.
Starting point is 00:18:08 We were making great time. And we were going to the last. challenge, which was to skydive into the motor speedway. And we were in our taxi cab and we were in the lead, like, kicking butt. And then all of a sudden, our friends who are, we love them, Dave and Connor,
Starting point is 00:18:24 father, daughter, father, son. Yeah. They paid their cab like $100 to speed past us, which we didn't even think about that. We were just going regular, but they just like booked it and speed past us and they got to the clue box four seconds before. Is that legal? I don't
Starting point is 00:18:40 think so. Yeah. But it's that's how they won well and then it was this like stop clock thing which they never have which because you're skydiving they had to have a 30 minute explanation procedure of like how to skydive and go through it all which they never do yeah and so it stopped when you got to the clue box so they got to the clue box four seconds before us but i was ready and in my airplane five minutes before dave but because we got to the clue box four seconds late they took off first and that would keep me up at nights i definitely had people PTSD after it.
Starting point is 00:19:14 But we loved it. Maybe, oh my God. It's before I got married and I think I'm going to be married five years this summer. Was it that long ago? Everything blurs together. Yes. How did you do that? Because we went on one season and then I guess we were fan favorites.
Starting point is 00:19:32 And they asked us back for all stars. That's so funny because I'm like, I kind of remember you guys now. And that might have been the only season I watched because I'm such a big brother fan. And I was like, oh, Brennan Rachel from Big Brother. And I remember tuning in, but that obviously was, yeah, like five years old. We were the country singers on it. I remember this. And it's funny because I know Jen, and I don't think I've ever put that together either.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I knew she was on it. Yeah. I don't know. There's a lot, you know. That's a big accomplishment, though. It was really fun. And it's probably how you feel about The Bachelor, like getting to travel all over the world. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:03 So, like, 20 different countries because of it. And 20 different countries. Between the two seasons. I went to the States. I'm Canadian. so I consider that a different country. I went to Europe and I went to Indonesia. Was it harder being, because you were on the Bachelor too, right?
Starting point is 00:20:24 Was it harder being the Bachelorette or on the Bachelor? It was way harder being the Bachelorette. I would think so. Because your heart is so attached to all these people. Yeah, and you're just constantly disappointing everybody. And there's so much pressure. And then you're just hurting people's feelings. On The Bachelor, I was having the time of my life.
Starting point is 00:20:43 I'm like, this is great. Yeah, we're all day and the same guy. I'm here for the friendships and the free wine and like traveling. And it was so, I loved it. I miss it. I look back on photos from The Bachelor and I'm like, the good old days. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I just feel that way because like when you are the one that's not the one, everyone's so heartbroken. And they're like, how can you do this to me? Yeah. But then when you're the one that has to do the hard decisions, I mean, you have to make those. have to continue to date all 25 guys you have to and and guys are very sensitive to a girl saying no to them like I feel like it's very emasculating yeah and then they get vulnerable and then you're like that wasn't enough for me and they take it really personally when it's just not a connection yeah and they get angry yeah girls more get sad yeah girls get sad but guys get angry
Starting point is 00:21:38 Interesting, yeah And that I got anxiety Every time I had to like send somebody home Is the rose ceremony awful? Yeah Just because I wondered each time Which guy is going to say something rude on his way out Some of them would be like
Starting point is 00:21:50 Your problem, not mine And I'd be like sorry I just don't like you Like did you always know who you wanted to send home Or was it hard sometimes Sometimes it was hard I knew for the most part But there's times where I just
Starting point is 00:22:03 Was left with so many good ones That I just I didn't want to send any of them home because can we not just be what's that religion where you have like yeah the sister wives but i guess can you have sister has brother husbands no no that's not fair i think that would be harder than anything actually wouldn't be good yeah i don't think i'd be down for that but yeah it was it was really challenging where the bachelor was just the most fun yeah would you ever do it if you're single i think i probably would have done it if i was single and thank god i didn't
Starting point is 00:22:33 because i was a hot mess what i wasn't nearly as poisoned put together as I am now. What did it take? Age? Getting married. My husband, like him just loving me and like making me embracing who you are. And letting me feel stable and then be able to calm down and just be who I think I'm supposed to be. Because when I was on the dating game, I didn't know how to date. I was kind of defensive. But you're on the dating game? When I was in the dating game. Oh, I thought you were on a show called The Dating Game. I'm like, there's another show I missed. Okay, when you're in the dating game, you were a hot mess? Yes. I would drink too much. Like I always, who like drink too much to start the day because I was nervous to dating and then I didn't know how to
Starting point is 00:23:13 I just like thank God my husband loves me when did you guys mean you've been married five years but we've been together like 10 wow we broke up two years in between you did we say every great act has a halftime show oh well now I'm gonna break up with my boyfriend no don't break up with Jason he was my favorite I'm just kidding yeah no I'm all he he's the same way that reminds me when you're talking about your husband just the same like stable and can keep you calm and just that's exactly what are you a jemini i'm a leo oh i don't know any signs except for jemini and i always say are you a jemini when when people are like me are you a jemini yeah okay yeah what is leo what does that say a lion just like i'm a leo and a four on the enagram have you done
Starting point is 00:23:58 the enigram oh yeah i'm a three what's the four three is an achiever right yeah four is a romantic So it is like the individualist And I'm just like lost in my emotions and feelings Oh It's like it's a great sign I feel like I'm like that too though Well you're a wing your wing is a four Probably
Starting point is 00:24:15 So you probably have my wing is a three So I'm like a four wing three So we are similar We are similar Okay I kind of got that But the emotional part man I had I worked through that My 20s
Starting point is 00:24:25 Just therapy and just like Working on myself And then being with Michael Well thank God you did all those things for yourself Thank God Like, I started therapy probably three years ago. Isn't it great? It's incredible.
Starting point is 00:24:40 I absolutely love going into therapy and I love coming out of it and I just feel stronger all the time. And they give me all these tools and she's always proud of me the next time I go in. Yes. But that's great that you started doing that in your 20s. Well, I think I just, like, was such an emotional mess. But you recognized that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:25:00 That's incredible. Uh-huh. My question for you is, who doesn't love a taste? smoothie in the morning. The problem is it's easy to get stuck on autopilot making the same boring smoothies every day. And even the best smoothies can start to get boring and predictable. So why not mix things up with frozen dull crafted smoothie blends? I've got them in my freezer now. They do all the hard work for you, pairing only the most delicious fruits together into unique blends, like taking a typical banana and berry smoothie and mixing it up with mangoes and
Starting point is 00:25:29 refreshing limes and kiweds. Or you could treat yourself to a sip of paradise with the strawberry watermelon blend with delicious coconut. The best part is they're born to be blended. Each bag is perfectly portioned with fruit that's frozen to lock in all the nutrients and the flavor. Every piece is already washed and cut, so all you have to do is fill up your blender with one of the single serving bags, add some coconut water, and then blend for an exciting smoothie. Dullcrafted smoothie blends. Find them in your frozen aisle. I was talking about this on one of my other podcasts with being emotional because I've started to notice that it's usually just five days a month that I'm really emotional.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And then I'm like, how has it taken me 33 years to figure out that that's your period and hormones, Caitlin? Like, that's why. And a lot of girls will do something like drastic in those times of hormones in emotional state where they can't control it and their emotions become stronger than them. And then they spend the next three weeks trying to do. to make up for that week the worst and it's just like a spiral and a just ongoing thing where you just keep getting yourself into these negative thoughts and emotions and I just don't know
Starting point is 00:26:41 how to help other girls with that other than to like journal your emotions and see when the dates are and write down how you're feeling how do you how do you help yourself be okay I hate to keep coming back to Michael because I have done a lot of work on myself yeah but being married to him has been the greatest blessing for me personally because a he's so fun to be married to yeah he's seven on the interim so he's like always having a great time what is the seven again they're the enthusiast that's jason too okay yeah so just like happy go lucky happy glass half full always gonna find the positive and not gonna let me sink to the bottom of my emotions and live there yes and he he's also super social and not make you feel silly for going there right yeah yes like he'll
Starting point is 00:27:28 be like okay I get it let's like talk it up and now we got to move on like we're not going to live here right I love that I would live there yeah I would just live there in the feelings yeah and he won't and so that's really great for me wow and also I think just like being with him not for so long and being so accepted by someone you feel safe I feel safe and I feel like I don't have to emotionally I guess like act out or something like I don't I'm not looking for any sort of validation anymore. I think that's a big problem that I've had in past relationships and just in my past. Like you go to like your childlike self.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Yes. And it's almost an out of body experience where you're acting like you know you're doing not something wrong. I don't want to call emotions wrong. But that's just overreacting and way more emotion than it needs to have. And you know that you can't stop and you know you're even past the trying. point yeah and you can't come out of it yes and i think that does come from a place of feeling well insecure one maybe not even with yourself but with somebody or or with yourself or not feeling
Starting point is 00:28:41 safe yes and you just i don't know if it's because of my childhood too where if i screamed and cried and i got attention from my parents then it would make it all better and maybe i tried that in relationships. I don't know. Yeah. But that's, I find myself, I've done the same thing. And I don't feel that way in this one. Yeah. Isn't that wonderful? Yeah. And I'm like, because I felt silly. I would, same thing. I would feel silly after I had these emotional breakdowns. And I'd be like, who am I? And how old am I? And when is this going to stop? And where is it coming from? And some of it was hormones, but some of it was just not feeling safe. Hormones are so real. Hormones are so real. Like, and sometimes we can't do anything about that.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Cannot. Like, women just have to sit back and accept and surrender to hormones. Yes. And I think, like you said, understanding them is helpful because now I am aware of when I'm lost in hormones. And I don't blame anything else for it. Before, I didn't know, I didn't know when my cycle was. I didn't know what was happening. So I just thought that's how I was feeling.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Yeah. But now I'm like, no, this is hormones. And let me just move through it. And it does help to just acknowledge it and understand. And that's why, do you use a period app? Mm-hmm. I use P-Tracker. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:59 And clue. Clue? Okay, I'm looking for a new one. Oh, you are. You're on the dating period app. Yeah. Looking for a new one. I'm going to swipe right on that one.
Starting point is 00:30:08 But yeah, I always, I make notes and I, it has moods on it and you can go one to three, how bad your moods are, how bad you get dizzy, if you get hungry, if you crave salt, sweets, whatever. And I keep track. And now that I have for a few months, I look back and go, oh, oh, I can't play in this on anyone else. Oh, this is just me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And I've really warned Jason about it, too. And so, but then the worst thing you want to hear is, oh, is it that time? Yes. Because I'm being like a little bit, you know. Right. Because you're like, no, this is how I feel. Because you're in it. You're like, it's not that time.
Starting point is 00:30:43 I'm just feeling this, how dare you? And then a few days later, you're like, you look at your app. Yeah. Dang it. You're right. that's one of the hardest things to do in relationships too is just admit that that they were right okay fine yeah okay uh so how did you and your husband meet we met at uh the tin roof which is a bar in Nashville love tin roof okay yes um and he's younger than me yeah he had just turned 21 and I was 24
Starting point is 00:31:09 yeah and so we met at a bar and uh there's this guy hitting on me that I thought was like creepy and I sort of knew Michael because we were both in music and we had worked with the same producer for a minute and so I was like asked him to come like hang out with me to not make me have to hang out with this other guy yeah and I was quite the makeout bandit back then oh get like if I went to a bar I wanted to make out that was my nickname on the bachelorette make out makeup make out because you love to make out loved it it's the best it is the best and if you're going to try and find your husband why don't make out you got to make out hello yeah especially with all those cuties.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah, duh. I'm not going to pass. That's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Truly. Is it weird to watch yourself making out on TV? Yeah, I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. Especially knowing my parents were watching too.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I was like, ah, I couldn't do it. Oh, I know. And I'm sure some of them got like steamy. Oh, you know what? Well, my season was very steamy, but the kissing and I kept it pretty tame. Okay. Yeah. Was there any like laying down fondling?
Starting point is 00:32:14 No. Okay. I mean, there was this one time. it doesn't matter. But for the most part, I remember being very aware of cameras when I was kissing because I didn't want to be that gross maker outer. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Good for you. Yeah. Anyways. Tin roof. Yeah. So we met and then I was leaving and I was like, well, are you not going to walk me out to my car? And then I just took them home with me.
Starting point is 00:32:39 We didn't. I was like a virgin and really prude and stuff. And so, well, I don't know if it was a virgin at that point, but I was still really prude. Yeah. And so he just came over and we made out. And then we started dating and never broke up for four years. And then we broke up for two years. Okay. How hard was that time? Really hard. And I moved to Austin for a year. Why did you guys decide to break up? You just timing? Time in life. Timing. We were both really young, both really intensely chasing our careers. We started dating so young. So I think we still had a lot of self-discovery to do. makes sense so it just like it even though we loved each other so much it just hit this head yeah and I just like I think it just had to happen those are some of my favorite stories when relationships go apart for a couple years and then they come back together because I think that's
Starting point is 00:33:31 so romantic you like couldn't fight it you just needed to be together and truly like there was never anyone else we both dated a lot and I continued my makeup ban at streak and so did he when we were single and then we got back together randomly two years later yeah and eloped four months later on the beach really what beach where the Bahamas oh that's like my dream that's I would want to love and go to the beach do it yeah it's the best planning a wedding is too stressful that's I'm not a planner me either and I know I could get a planner but I'm like too many details and then they call you anyways to ask you what you want and I'm like I don't know I know I just want someone to pick it out for me. I want to be like, I like these colors, this, this, I don't care. I don't care. I don't even
Starting point is 00:34:16 care about my dress. Yeah. I got married in a swimsuit cover up. Oh, amazing. I took me to say a cover up. It was white and fringe. It was great. Got barefoot on the beach. Michael had spearfished all morning, swam up, changed in the bushes and we walked down the sand. See, I am into that. And I think that says a lot about your love. That's just, you're like, it doesn't matter. Let's get married. Yes. That's so sweet. It was the best. Oh, it was the best. And in the Bahamas. So when you're a loping, that means there's, like, no one else there was just... We were actually on my family vacation. Oh.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I've been going to Bahamas with my family ever since I was four. Oh, my gosh. That's awesome. Yeah. So we have, like, this little island that we go to. And so Michael had come with us a few years. Yeah. And then we were all off on the beach one day.
Starting point is 00:34:59 And my mom was like, we'd gotten back together. We'd been together four months. And my mom was like, why don't y'all just get married here? And I was like, oh, my gosh. I could not believe my mom suggested that. Because I thought she would want me to have, like, a big, Waco wedding. Yeah. My sister had quite a large wedding.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Yeah. And I was like, okay. And so we just pulled it all together. And, like, one day. And Michael's dad and brother flew out. So his, like, family was there. My family was there. That's great.
Starting point is 00:35:24 It was so great. Yeah, I'm into that. We'll be right back with more off the vine. Grape Therapy. Alexa isn't the only one with breaking news. Download new episodes of Fam as a Bitch every week on Apple Podcasts and Podcasts One. This is Austin Vine. Great Therapy. Like we were talking about before, you obviously talked to a lot of women on your podcast, married to country singers, and you can relate. what is the hardest part for you about married to someone in the country music industry I think because I was in the industry for so long in Stealing Angels and we toured around a tour bus for like three years and I get so much
Starting point is 00:36:24 of what it takes to make it in this industry and I understand like the ebb and flow and I've also been like a song plugger publisher I've been a regional which promotes other artists now like hosting and TV so like I just really feel like I have a understanding of what it takes to make it and I'm like all about that life because I love the pursuit of dreams. Yeah. Like I just think that that is for me, that's the only life to live. Yeah. Personally. And so I just, and I think Michael's the most talented guy in the world and I'm like obsessed with his music and band. That's all. And so he's so, and a lot of these wives I've talked, I talk to have husbands the same way that are so supportive of their marriages and inclusive of
Starting point is 00:37:08 their wives and want the family vibe on the road and yeah and Michael and all the guys in his band like all the other wives there's three other wives we're all best friends we all hang out all the time you guys need like a reality show about that yeah we all like Michael and one of his bandmates grew up in the same hometown and then that bandmate I introduced him to one of my best friends from my hometown that they got married oh really and then another bandmate and bill and grammar cousins and so now like Amanda and Andrea are cousins by marriage. And then Rain and Zach are they are just the best. And so we all just get along so well and hang out.
Starting point is 00:37:47 You guys are a family. We're such a family. I find that in the country music world. I find that that everybody's very family oriented and everybody's just got a close bond. And they all want those kinds. They're not rock stars who go party. No. I mean, you guys can party, but like as a family.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Yeah. And I don't know. It's just such a sweet world it seems like to be a part of. It really is. So I feel like me, understanding it just from being in it for so long in different avenues and then really appreciating the hard work it takes and also feeling so valued and included from Michael and the band I don't really have a lot of struggles with it to be honest with you and I don't mind being
Starting point is 00:38:27 by myself like when he's gone I'm fine with that because I'll just go to that super early in binge watch Netflix yeah I'm totally into my alone time I love alone time and then you get to miss them and then it's nice when they come back and you have your own things it's great i'm not worried about having a baby either i don't know why i just know we'll work it out yeah you're of course it'll just work out all right everyone you're on your way to work listening to your favorite podcast mine obviously what snacks do you have that's that's my question for you are you craving something sweet maybe something spicy maybe even spicy and salty if you're getting crazy go get some blue diamond almonds and find your new favorite almond they have great flavors like honey roasted
Starting point is 00:39:12 saracha and wasabi and soy sauce flavored almonds blue diamond almonds isn't your usually boring snack and it's better than whatever you're snacking on now they're so good and almonds are a super food so don't deny your cravings eat them blue diamond almonds crave victoriously let's get real you got to confess to me something did did you come up with anything i came up with a confession Okay. I actually feel bad about this. Okay. And now that I'm going to confess it, I'm going to change my ways.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Okay. You heard it first. So this is something to everyone listening. I don't want your judgment. And I'm going to change my ways after now I'm coming out with it. Okay. I don't pick up my dog poop when I'm walking here. I know.
Starting point is 00:40:00 I know. I'm going to, I told you I prefaces, I'm going to change my ways. You have to. change your ways it's changing now that i've spoken it out loud i can't just like act like i forgot a bag why don't you pick it up you just think it's gross i am usually such a great samaritan in the world and i like want to do good i don't want to be unneighborly yeah i just i i don't know i just never have and i just it's one of those things that now it's like i just don't do it do you look around and be like ha-ha i don't have any bags kind of or do you just own it it just
Starting point is 00:40:35 depends on if someone's looking. Have you ever been yelled at for this? Yeah, someone brought me a bag from their house one time. Oh my gosh. Does your husband pick it up? I mean, he's not, I'm not going to put the responsibility on him because I'm the one who like would bring the bags and have the stuff and I walk her the most. So it should be on me to bring the bags.
Starting point is 00:40:57 But if he would, yeah, he would. If he had a bag, he would pick it up. But like, I know it's bad. I know. Caroline. I know. I'm changing my ways. Everyone, please don't flood me with terrible, terrible comments because I feel bad about it.
Starting point is 00:41:08 And you are going to change. And I'm going to do like weekly check-ins with you. Because if I ever see my neighbors letting their dog poop on my lawn, I have a fit. Do you let them have it? Oh, yeah. What do you say? I'll do the same. I'll bring them bags.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And I'll be like, and then I'll wait for them. Sometimes if they are like gone, I'll just wait for them the next time on my little porch. I'm like an angry old lady. I'll just sit on my porch and wait for those assholes to come back and be like, excuse you. Remember last time when you didn't pick up your poop? Yeah. You'll call them out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Oh, yeah, that's why I'm good for you. Yeah. No, but I mean. I know. I'm sorry, everybody. I'm sorry. That's a bad confession. It's, which makes it a really great confession.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Yeah. Okay, so you have to confess. I know, but. Nothing's as bad as that. No, no. I do this every week, so it's always hard for me to come up with, with confessions. Have you ever had anything as bad as what I just said? Um, top of the list, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:42:01 I did do the same thing as you once. I did feel your disappointment. No, no. No, I mean, you're disappointed. I'm a little disappointed because I know you're better than that. I know. I know. That's why it's a really, it's a low mark.
Starting point is 00:42:12 It's a low part of my life. But then it makes me happy again because you just gave me a really solid confession. And it's one that's like, like I believe you're going to change. Well, and now that I've spoken it out loud, and I'm sure so many people are going to be mad at me. I'm doing loser laps in East Nashville looking for you to pick up your dog poop. I'm going to just strap on my fanny pack every day with my little bags in it and I'll make sure I pick. I did do that once in Germany. I was watching one of my friends, Bernie's Mountain Dogs, and he took the largest poop I've
Starting point is 00:42:40 ever seen in my whole career. And I was so disgusted that I couldn't do it. You left it. Yeah. And that's a big old mound of poop. Huge. Yeah. Is your dog little?
Starting point is 00:42:50 She's medium. She's like 35. What kind of dog? Pounds. She is a lab corgi mix. Oh, what cute. She's so cute. What's her name?
Starting point is 00:42:59 Sugar. Ah, sugar. She's the sweetest. She's the sweet. that's amazing oh i love that i know but with my last dog tucker i would just love to pick up his poop because i felt like i was taking care of him i was like he's my baby i don't pick up your poop oh you're a better person than me i really like i don't really that's one of the worst things i do in my life yeah and that's not that bad if that's one of the worst things you do in
Starting point is 00:43:25 your life you are doing a okay oh i feel really bad about it now i said it a lot i know people are going to be giving me the haterade for that one no my listeners are the nicest people in the whole world people have said some real nasty confessions and what's some of the worst confessions you've gotten like one person lit their school on fire what yeah were people in it actually i'm pretty sure you know these people brad rample who's brad rimpel brad and curtis rample the um yeah yeah i'm gonna make you my oh those thing the high valley yeah high valley they're hilarious they are hilarious i've put my pants out interviewing them they They are from Alberta, which is where I'm from in Canada, just like a way smaller town.

I couldn't get over how funny they were. I laughed so hard. Yeah, they are. They always like movie quote and they're a little banter together. They're speaking German.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Yeah. Yeah. They're very quick and witty. Yeah. I really enjoyed interviewing them too. Okay. They set their school on fire? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:33 he like put a pizza pocket in the microwave on like an hour and like blew up the cafeteria wow dang other people a lot of pooping their pants yeah we're going to play this game because it's what i did on the red carpet and your husband was there he might not i wonder if he remembers doing this that's i don't know why the timer makes that noise so it's called the five second rule okay so i'm going to say something to you and you have to name three things in that category in five seconds. Oh, gosh. Like, for example, you can, this is just a practice round.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Name three Bachelorette party activities. Okay. Drinking, pedal tavering, and going to honky talks. Okay. Great. Perfect. Okay. Okay.

Starting point is 00:46:54 Okay. I'll give you that one. Okay. Name three people. Is this you? Oh, I guess so. Okay, this would be you. Name three people you'd like to see.
Starting point is 00:47:02 shirtless. Chris Harrison, because I wonder what's going on under there. Jason and who is the third? I don't know. Shirtless, shirtless. Leonard DeCaprio. Yeah, sure. Although he like changes bodies. He's got like movie body and then like off movie body. That's what I want to see because I want to know what bod that's
Starting point is 00:47:22 which body are we working with. Don't you ever want to know what Chris Harrison's body looks like under there? I've never thought about it. Oh, yeah me either. Totally joking. I definitely know what 's body looks like, because he is in the shower every five seconds. Five seconds. Is he just that dirty? I guess so.
Starting point is 00:47:38 Do they always make people shower that much? I remember when I was on Chris Sol's season, he had a lot of shower scenes. They just want to. I think it's the ones who like to show their body get a lot of shower scenes. Did you have to do like stuff like that? I was like, please don't ever put me in a bathing suit. I don't, I don't feel like I'm like the sexy bachelorette. Like I'm like, can I wear converse and like a backwards hat?
Starting point is 00:48:00 Like I feel uncomfortable when I'm being sexy. But you're so cute and fun. Well, thanks. And beautiful and sexy, but you're not playing that card first, I guess. Yeah, that's like, yeah. I'll play the cute, fun, sassy, witty, comfy. Yeah. Then I'll go sexy if I'm really feeling it.

Starting point is 00:49:15 Jaitland. Do you guys have a name? No. Michael, right? Mm-hmm. Carol Eichel? No. Michaeline?
Starting point is 00:49:23 Michaeline. Yeah. Is Hobby his last name? Mm-hmm. I like Michaeline. Michaeline. Yeah, it's going to land. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:31 It's going to stick for you guys. Okay. What is your number one thing on your bucket list right now? Hmm. Right now? I mean, I would say probably, this is so cliche and like it's not really that it's nothing nuts, but delivering a really healthy, happy baby. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:56 What do you mean? That's amazing. That would be my number one thing, just have a really smooth rest of the pregnancy. and delivering a really healthy, happy job. That is a great bucket list item. I like that. Okay. Somebody is getting into a Twitter fight on my tweets right now.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Do people go after it? Oh, yeah. Nice. Oh, yeah. Super deep, but what do you two do both body and mind preservation? What does that mean? Preservation. Like to preserve our body and mind?
Starting point is 00:50:29 A lot of hot yoga Before I got pregnant I have so much anxiety now With working out being pregnant That I just walk now But hot yoga is my favorite Where do you Where in Nashville is a good place to go for hot yoga

Starting point is 00:51:04 What? Yeah. Okay, yeah. You can tell me after. But I love hot yoga. Yeah. That's like my... Do you meditate?
Starting point is 00:51:13 I try. Yeah. I try to, but I'm not a regular. Do you? I love meditating. Are you an everydayer? Twice a day. What, did you use an app?
Starting point is 00:51:22 Yeah, calm. The calm app. It's, because there's ones for everything. Truly. Yeah. Yeah. So when, yeah, when we broke up, I was like, I'm going to buy the house and I'm staying. Yeah. And I don't have a lot of friends. So you don't. You don't. No, I feel like I'm never here. Oh my gosh. I'll be your friend. Okay.

I think that more than anything is the best advice I've ever gotten. And, for a long time, like early in my 20s, I didn't trust my gut all the time. Sometimes maybe 50-50. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:04 But now I really trust my gut. Mm-hmm. If you really listen to your body and what you're feeling, it will tell you. Mm-hmm. And if it feels in any way wrong, don't do it. Exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:16 And also listen to, like, notice resistance. Like I have noticed that when I am trying to push through something and I'm getting a lot of resistance and I feel it. like that heavy feeling it's wrong it's the universe god that higher force saying this is not your road yeah and in my younger days i would push through it and now like if i hit resistance hard i'm like okay got it off yeah message received i love that and that that just makes for a happy life yeah yeah a stress free happy life and sometimes hard decisions but it's worth it of course yeah favorite song to listen to when you're feeling down um anything about marley yeah oh yeah i love reggae
Starting point is 00:54:57 Reggae makes me feel so good. It just makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Yes. And I love listening to reggae on vacation. I reggae all the time, on vacation especially. Like, islands are my happy place. Oh. Yeah, Bob Marley.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I'm going to Mexico tomorrow. Oh, yay. I'm so excited. Oh, my gosh. Have fun. Favorite thing to eat while pregnant? Pasta. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:18 If I'm going to like pasta, pizza, pizza. I haven't really liked juices. I've been getting a lot of juices. Mm-hmm. I should have. got you a juice. Yeah, what were you thinking? You know what? My people told me to get you a juice and I was like, she wants juice. I'm sparkling flavored water. I thought they're just saying like, yeah, she's pregnant, so maybe get her juice. I should have got you juice. I'm so
Starting point is 00:55:37 upset about it. I'm really embarrassed. You should be. You're forgiven for not picking up your dog poop. Now we're even. Okay, okay, okay. We'll call it even. Favorite way to unwind after a long day. It would have been back before I got pregnant, doing hot yoga and taking a bath, but now I'm kind of afraid of both of them because I'm a paranoid freakling pregnant. Yeah. I just, like, more than most people, like, a lot of women do hot yoga and a lot of them take baths. But I just... What scares you about a bath being pregnant? It's just, like, the temperature, if it gets too hot, like it, they say it can, like...
Starting point is 00:56:09 Oh, do something? Yeah, with the baby. Okay, I would be paranoid about that, too. I think I'm going to be a paranoid pregnant lady. I am, and it's so annoying. That's okay. You're just being safe and loving your little human. I know, but I've got to, like, learn how to surrender it over.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Your second one, you'll be much different. I know. That's why I know I have to have two, because if I have one, I'll try to, a bubble wrapper. Yeah. You know? I mean, literally.
Starting point is 00:56:30 I hear you. I mean, I was that way about a dog. So I'm going to be the same way. Yeah. Favorite adult beverage when you're not pregnant?
Starting point is 00:56:39 I don't like just love to drink, drink. I like to drink like fancy cocktails. I want a craft cocktail. Yeah. I do love wine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Or like an IPA draft beer that's sort of like light hoppy. Oh. And like a flavor, like peach. Oh. I have been craving like a peach. IPA draft beer. Have you ever had sour
Starting point is 00:56:59 beer? I think so. I don't love a heavy sour. Maybe a baby light sour. I love sour beer. Your favorite quote or motto? Okay. I love be yourself. Everyone else is taken. I also love God didn't bring me this far to leave me. And
Starting point is 00:57:19 I've quotes all over my house. I love that. I think it's Helen Keller. Life is either a great adventure or nothing at all. And I love that. Oh, yeah. And I love the four agreements. We have that written on our chalkboard, which is always do your best.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Don't take anything personal. Don't take anything personal. Don't make assumptions. And what's the fourth? And do the right thing? It's like be, oh, be, it's like intention. Like be something with your word. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:57:51 It's always like, yeah. Like, dang, that's going to bug me. I know. everyone at home that knows the book is like duh it's on our we have it written on a chalkboard and I just like look at it every day and it's like yeah be impeccable be impeccable with your word be impeccable with your word I really like that one I try and think about that a lot one of my girlfriends really helped me through that in my 20s I was not impeccable with my word I would just say what people wanted me to say and I would like tell her I was going to be somewhere and I wouldn't and I'd and she was
Starting point is 00:58:20 like this is something very important in life like it should be a life skill and like something you practice every day is to be impeccable with your word. So when I read that book, I was like, oh, shout out to Jessica Knutson. What up, Newt's. What up, Newt's. That's funny. Favorite date night spot or activity. We love to go out to dinner. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:41 We love to go to dinner. I do too. I just love to eat. There's so many good places here. So many good places. And new ones coming up all the time. We go walking almost every day, which I love. I love to go when I don't pick up my dog's poop, which I do now.
Starting point is 00:58:55 But you do now. So clearly there's a lot of poop on people's grass yards in our neighborhood. I'm sorry. No more. I'm cleaning it up. I love that you're very like sorry about it. So I feel like people are going to forgive you. Do you think?
Starting point is 00:59:08 Yeah. Are they going to come at me a little bit? Maybe too. Well, I want everyone to know I'm changing my ways. And I hadn't really admitted it until I just said it. I would have been in denial. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:18 So I was like, this is a safe place. So we want you to feel safe to tell us those things. And so we will be on your side. and we will do check-ins. But you also will hold me accountable. And I should be held accountable because it's something that needs. Accountability is very important.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Yeah. Yeah. Last one. Favorite way to boost your confidence? I get a lot of inspiration from my friends. So I feel like, and like my husband, but like I feel like I love hanging out with some great girlfriends and just having some good talk, maybe going on a walk,
Starting point is 00:59:52 and just sort of like, reconnecting that we're all just like in this thing doing it and we're all doing a great job and we're all supportive of each other don't women do that don't you find that so nice one a group of your close women come together and you all just support each other and have great conversation and relate and just realize the force you are as a woman yes yeah yes I hear that and then I mean I really do love to do hot yoga that makes me feel so good to like reset I agree there's something about it where it's so good for the mind and sweating at the same time
Starting point is 01:00:28 that you just come out feeling like a new woman. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I hear that. Totally. I get so sweaty. What makes you,
Starting point is 01:00:35 what do you like to do to boost your confidence? I would say the same. Like I like surrounding myself with my really core group of people that make me feel good about myself. As you know in like the world of entertainment or any world you're really in, there's always people that will bring you down always,
Starting point is 01:00:50 not just this world, whether you're in a bank or no matter what. Yeah. And so when you just realize the kind of good people you have in your life and they just kind of ground you and then you go back to being like, oh, yeah, this is what matters. Like somebody asked me the other day what makes me feel beautiful. And I honestly said just being around like Jason or just being around my family because that's when I feel the happiest and when I'm the happiest, I feel beautiful.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Yeah. It's not like when I'm in a little dress and heels. Nah, not for me. No. It's like when I'm comfy and around people who love me. Yes. Yeah. He's see you for you.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Yeah. I love it. I am beautiful. That's right. Now, what else? Is there anything else you wanted to talk about that I missed?
Starting point is 01:01:33 Tell us where we can find your podcast. You can find it anywhere. Okay. On iTunes, on I heart, on anywhere that podcasts are. Just Google it. Just Google it. And your Instagram is K-R-H-O-H-B-B-Y. And that's your Twitter, too, right?
Starting point is 01:01:52 Yeah. I'm so bad at Twitter. are you i am i only use twitter when i have something like really funny to say or when i'm watching the bachelor of the bachelor i didn't have my little commentary i'm so hardcore into the bachelor now like i'm bachelor in paradise i love it all is there going to be another bachelor in paradise oh yeah of course i love all that that's almost sometimes better because it's like well you can come on the podcast again we'll do recaps oh yes because i now i want to hear i'm into bachelor in paradise it's so good
Starting point is 01:02:24 it's probably the best of all of them i think i think so too because there's so much happening so much and there's so many more opportunities for relationships there really is and you spend so much time with each other in paradise than you do on that no okay um they were going to ask me i think this year but i'm too old for that why did jason not go on it um i think it was he was almost going to be the bachelor right oh yeah i wanted him to be the bachelor so bad he was my number one yeah me too I was like, that guy needs to be the bachelor. He'd be the best bachelor. Yes.
Starting point is 01:02:54 He didn't go on because it was really, really soon after. And I think he was like, I got to go back to my like real job. And I don't know if this world's for me. Uh-huh. And then, to be honest, I think he knew he had a little bit of a shot at being the bachelor. So then he couldn't go on, even though Colton did it. But I think that's maybe his mindset. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:03:12 And then, yeah, I don't know. I just, Paradise is like, I love watching the Demies and the, like, younger girls and everything. like that's that's what paradise is i just feel like i you know who turned it around it was coach crystal turned it around turned it around i thought like oh my gosh there's no hope and then she is like awesome now i know that's that's what i love about paradise too is that there's the redemptions yeah and her her dude what's his name chris which he also was like oh and now but he was oh on paradise too and then got like somehow awesome at the end i think he wanted to be awesome but he just needed the opportunity to be awesome
Starting point is 01:03:50 And he was trying to be awesome in, like, the way, like, he was trying to be awesome TV, but really he's just an awesome guy and he needed to just accept that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they've really, like, really blossomed. They are really sweet together, too. I really think they're great. And I actually think Cassie and Colton are great. I was wondering how that was going to turn out.
Starting point is 01:04:07 They are the sweetest. But, like, she, like, fell hard in love with him because I didn't know if that was going to happen. Yeah. I think what I think happened was she was just scared. She's young. She doesn't know what world she's in. She was kind of like, uh, my. Her family doesn't know, like, yeah, it was just all these, like, big question marks and you're on a show where you're supposed to get engaged.
Starting point is 01:04:26 But I've hung out with them now a few times that they're just the best. They seem like they're so stinking cute. They are. And happy. They are. Yeah. They're happy and adorable and so, like, their hearts are so pure. They really are.
Starting point is 01:04:41 I love that. I know. They're so cute. And they might really make it. Yeah. I believe in them. Yes. I know.
Starting point is 01:04:48 I know. Don't you just love a good. Love story that comes out of TV. Sure do. I know. I really do. Well, I'm so happy you came over and did this with me. Thanks for having me on.
Starting point is 01:04:57 You're so cute pregnant. Thanks. The cutest bumping. You are bumping. Come back anytime. We'll do Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise Reca. Oh, I'm so in for that. And maybe I'll bring a psychic if you get back into it and we can have a moment.
Starting point is 01:05:13 If you bring, okay, I would do a psychic call the show with you. You would? But you have to get a legit one. Do you have a legit one here? Yes. there's this guy Frank Castiano I think is his name oh my gosh Frank is like legit but I haven't gone to Frank in a long time he was always a really good one okay but does he like watch the bachelor I don't want them to know right anything I don't know I don't know what he does
Starting point is 01:05:34 outside of you should tell him that you have a podcast for him to go on and don't tell my name and don't tell him the podcast or anything and then we'll bring him here and we'll just see what happens oh my gosh okay can we do that yeah yes I'm so excited. Okay. Oh, okay. Well, I'm going to go pack for Mexico. Have so much fun.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Are you going with Jason? Yeah. When this comes out, we'll be in Mexico. So everybody have a margarita with us while you listen to the pod and know that I'm just in my happy place. Oh, I have so much. I'm so excited. Thank you so much. Thanks for having me.
