Episode Date: October 27, 2022

Quick question for you… deux you love all things pop culture? Well, if you answered “yes” or if you just like to be in the know, this one’s for you. Kaitlyn is joined by a very myster...ious guest and the queen of hot goss, DeuxMoi, whose anonymous Instagram account and podcast has taken the pop culture world by storm, so much so that she was able to quit her job and start posting blinds full-time. Per usual, she’s revealing all on today’s episode, from behind the scenes info on how she gets her gossip to the recent celeb news she found most surprising to the scandals she knew about before they broke to the public. And Kaitlyn is getting the low down on her own favorite celebs, like the iconic Mr. Paul Rudd and KB’s former (or current?) hall pass, Ellen. Plus, the two are sharing Vino celebrity encounters, discussing celeb beauty secrets, and getting into a confession that is more impressive than embarrassing. Thank you to our sponsors! Welcome to your weekly session. Caitlin and friends are here to share unfiltered advice, lots of laughs. and some major breakthroughs.
Starting point is 00:00:59 So put your feet up, pop a cork, and get ready for some great therapy. Welcome to Arthur Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow, and I have the queen of pop culture with me today, the voice of Dumas. She runs an anonymous, celeb, gossip, Instagram account,
Starting point is 00:01:19 and podcasts where she tells us all the juicy deets about the people who we really truly care about in our lives. You know the Kardashians, the Paul Rudd's, The Adam Levine's, I don't really care for him anymore, but I had so much fun learning about a topic I'm not usually the best at, which is just WTF is going on in pop culture and Hollywood. We talk about how Leonardo DiCaprio was talking about her at dinner to Brad Pitt.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Whatever. So without further ado, please enjoy the one and only. Do more. Oh my gosh, thanks for coming on. Is it weird for you to see me and me not see you? Like, would you prefer I don't have? my video on or is this fine with you? No, that's fine. Like, I'm not even looking at my computer. Oh, okay. Amazing. That's great. God, I wish I had your job. I know. I get to hide behind a black
Starting point is 00:02:09 screen. But, you know. I mean, it's so I was going to tell you actually, do you know who Atticus poetry is? No. Okay. Well, he's a poet that kind of blew up on Instagram and he does the say, like, he's anonymous and he always wears this mask. because he'll do book signings, but he wanted to remain anonymous. And it was so funny because I was such a fan of his and I slid into his DMs. And I was like, oh, I'm just such a fan of your work. And he said, oh, I'll send you one of my books. And I was like, oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:02:43 And when he signed it, he said, Dear Beans, which is my nickname, which my friends have called me since I was 19. And I was like, now how the hell did you know my nickname? And then my girlfriend was like, Caitlin, that's our friend, so and so. and I've known him since I was 19 and I still didn't even know it was him to like a year ago. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Hilarious. Ooh, you're so mysterious. Okay, I'm so excited to talk to you. You know, someone that's in the entertainment industry. I feel out of the loop somehow with pop culture. And it's just hard for me to even keep up with my own life, let alone others, which I'm sure you do that too. Because if I'm not mistaken, you have another job outside of doing this, right?
Starting point is 00:03:23 No, I quit. Oh, good for you. Yeah. A couple months ago. It was a couple months ago. I was doing this for about two years. Yeah. While I had a job. And then it finally became too much. So I quit a couple months ago. Because you have like merch and you're probably doing this for how many hours a day would you say? Like a job. Like I would say like eight hours. So when I had so when I had a job as well, I was coming home, you know, at like 536 and working until the night, you know, into the night. That's crazy. So I was like, this is.
Starting point is 00:03:57 just miserable. And, you know, at that point, I was monetizing the platform. So I was able to quit. I was really lucky. That's awesome. That's really cool. I love when people get to do that when they're just like enjoying their side hustle so much that it becomes their success because they're so passionate about it. Then they get to quit their other job. That's a win right there. I still, though, with quitting your other job, how do you keep up with it all? Like, do you have a team? Are you doing this on your own? How do you do it? No, I do it on my own. I mean, honestly, I have the best followers, I think, on any social media platform. Like, they keep me abreast of every single thing that's going on. And I mean, I'm talking like the most mainstream things to the things that
Starting point is 00:04:39 are going on in like the deepest, darkest places of the internet. So they tell me everything. And, you know, have you seen this? Have you know, you're mentioned here? Like, they're so great. They send me everything. And honestly, that's how I keep up. Like, I'm in my DMs all day. Yeah, I bet. I mean, like you said, it's a full-time job. Have you always been interested in celebrity gossip or when did you start getting into it? Because I was the kid that was like sitting on the floor at the grocery store reading
Starting point is 00:05:10 the Tiger Beat magazines. I don't know how old you are, but okay, you were that person. Okay. So you've always been interested in it. Yes. I've always been interested in it, but not to this level. And I realized after doing this that I know, I know nothing. Like, there are so many people out there who are into pop culture.
Starting point is 00:05:25 who know so much more than I could ever know. I don't know if they're just on the internet all day, on message boards, like, researching stuff, but they know about their favorite celebrities' lives in and out. Isn't that crazy? I wonder how, like, because I'll get into your like A to Z list of celebrities. Like, I wonder if I have anyone that, oh, actually, I know I have one person that's very invested in what I do daily and reads into everything. and it like makes me concerned for like what I'm like what are you doing at home but then I'm like
Starting point is 00:06:01 hey you know some people can make a job out of this so maybe maybe she's on to something too yeah I think people just do it as a hobby to be honest because the people that are writing me don't have accounts they don't have you know they're not in the same industry like you know being like social media pop culture commentators they're just normal people who are interested in celebrities. It's crazy. It really is crazy. Well, it's, why do you think that is? why do you think there is such an infatuation or interest or like, why do you think people are so invested in celebrities' lives of what they're doing? Because it's an escape from their own lives and, you know, they could focus on something else other than what's going on in their current
Starting point is 00:06:48 lives. The obsession, like the level of obsession, I cannot speak to because, you know, a does get out of hand. And I think some of those people, I don't know. I don't want to, you know, call people names, but yeah, yeah, seem a little unwell. Right. So I can't really speak to that. But the people who are just like, you know, intuited at a healthy level, I think it's an escape. I think so too. You know, they see them, they see them in a movie or in a TV show and they want to learn more about them. I think that's always been a thing, obviously even before social media, that people, People have just been always celebrity obsessed. It's such a fascinating world because they're showcased for your entertainment, right?
Starting point is 00:07:33 So it's like it's not wrong of us to be entertained and want to learn more about these people because they're on our TV screens. But before you like got your own gossip and people are sending you all these things, like how did you get your gossip before this? Was it just Reddit? Was it surfing the internet? Like, did you know someone famous? I don't go on Reddit ever.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I like make it a rule to not go on Reddit. And I rarely read other gossip accounts. There's only a few people I follow and there's only a few entertainment news sites that I'll follow. It's all crowdsourced. It's literally all crowdsourced. That's how it started from day one and that's how it continues today. Now I will say that like after doing this for two and a half years, I do have some people that I turn to if I need information. people that I've met, you know, just through doing the account.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Yeah. So that has become part of it, but it's mostly, it's mostly crowdsourced. The first post I ever posted during quarantine was asking people for their stories. Like just what tell me like what celebrities you've encountered in your life. And people were sending in stories from like a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago. It didn't matter. Everyone was just home during quarantine, just like, bored. So they were taking it all in, reading everything. And that's literally how it started.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Wow. Okay. So you started in quarantine. Oh, my gosh. So that's blown up really quickly. Do you get like benefits from running the account like celebrity outings, concert tickets? Do you get offered those? Or can you even go because you want to remain anonymous? I do get offered. I don't attend. Wow. Do you want to? Are you like, damn, I wish I could, but I can't? Or are you like, no, I'm out? I mean, I will say that I was offered Harry Style tickets. Yeah. And I turned them down. So that was like the, that was, I will say that's the one, the one I do regret and wish I could have went. But I said very nicely to the person who offered them to me, I was like, I don't know if I could be around that many of his fans because I deal with them on a day to day basis.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Yeah. His fan base is so passionate. And they're so involved. you know, everything he's doing. And I was like, I don't think it's going to be healthy for me to be in a room with that many of his fans. And the person who offered me the tickets was so nice. They're like, we can get you VIP. Like, don't worry about it. And I was like, I can't. Maybe in the future, but not now. Yeah. Like, do you think you'll ever reveal yourself? I mean, you know, it's not a matter of revealing myself or not revealing myself. I want to build a brand and I don't want to be an
Starting point is 00:10:17 influencer. So I don't want to come out and say like, hey, guys, like, this is who I am. And this is, you know, everyone knows I live in New York City. But, you know, that wasn't intentional. That was just because I talk so much about New York. Right. I don't want to, you know, come out and be like, you know, this is me and this is what I do. And this is, you know, who I am. Because then I become an influencer. And it's not about the content. And it's not about the brand. So that's the only reason I'm kind of still staying in the shadows. Yeah. It's not because I'm trying to be gossip girl or it's not because, you know, I'm trying to be annoying or I think it's awesome. I'm not hiding from celebrities. I'm not hiding from lawsuits. A lot of celebrities probably
Starting point is 00:10:59 know who I am. Like they know who you are like physically or online? No. Like who like who what my name is. Right. You know what I mean? Like I I'm not trying to hide from anyone. I just want to make that clear. I'm just doing it because like I feel like what. I want to build should be separate from who I am as a person, if that makes sense. No, I think that makes complete sense. I'm picking up what you're putting down. And I'm looking at my prep doc. And I never have this many questions for anyone. Like, I'm like trying to pick it. I'm like, I have so many questions. You know how sometimes when your passion becomes work, you lose the passion a little bit has making this into a full-time job affected the passion you
Starting point is 00:11:40 have for pop culture or made you more invested in it? That's a really good question. I think it's made me desensitized to any type of gossip. I'm passionate about my audience. So I'm passionate about getting them information before it's released, getting them information before it's dropped, trying to find out things that they ask me to find out. So that's what that's what I'm passionate about. I'm not, you know, I am not passionate about celebrities. Like if I had started a website about flowers, let's say. And I had the same audience and the same type of followers as I have today. I'd be, you know, I'd care about flowers. So it's not like, my point is like, it's not celebrities. It's the audience. Yeah. Yeah. I get that. What they want. Yeah. That excites me because
Starting point is 00:12:31 they get excited about the information. Yeah. They like rely on you for their entertainment and for their news. Like that's, you're the go-to person for that. What is your favorite type of celebrity gossip to talk about or celebrities to talk about like Kardashians, Bachelor, athletes, like, what interests you as a person the most? Oh, God. I mean, it goes back to just being so desensitized. Like, I don't think anything interesting. I mean, well, I will say that I did have a, I guess it was a blind item. Somebody asked me recently in a Q&A what the like most shocking piece of gossip I have heard recently and it was about an A-list threesome that I said to everyone like if you knew the participants of this threesome like it would blow your socks off it was so hot it sounded so hot
Starting point is 00:13:25 so like that that kind of like when I heard that I was like holy shit I was like this is a good one so I don't get I don't get that very often but I would say this A-list threesome is one of the more recent pieces of gossip that I received that I was like, wow. Also the, have you seen the headlines about Elizabeth Chambers disguising herself using one of her friends, you didn't see this? No. Elizabeth Chambers, Army Hammer's wife or ex-wife. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:01 She used one of her friends accounts, Instagram accounts and email addresses to send tips to, like the Daily Mail on page. No way. Yeah. So I knew about it before the news outlets picked it up. And when I heard that, when I heard that recently, I was also like, holy shit, what is she doing? Yeah, what is she doing? I don't know. I don't know what she was thinking. I don't know what she was thinking. I was like, so wait, will we find out who this A-list threesome is? I gave a hint on my podcast episode. Oh, okay. But I will say, and I said this on my podcast, like, I didn't think anyone would guess this. Like, I literally just wrote A list threesome.
Starting point is 00:14:46 That's all I wrote. And people started guessing. People knew about this. People knew about it. So people were messaging me. Like, I'm going to say like five different people, maybe more. We're like, wait, is this about X, Y, and Z? And I was like, how do you know?
Starting point is 00:15:03 How did you guess off of just a list? Yeah. How did they know? It's going around. It's going around certain circles that this happened. And I was shocked because I thought that, like, it was super secret of information. But, oh, I can't wait. Now I can't wait to listen to your podcast.
Starting point is 00:15:22 So what, first of all, what is your podcast called and where can people listen to it? It's called Do You? Yeah. D-E-U-X slash you. And they could listen to it whenever they listen to their podcast, Apple, Spotify, the Odyssey app. I'm excited. Wait, I'm like, I would have no idea who this would be. But is it like a threesome, like they hook up as a threesome or they're like dating as a threesome? No, it's a couple and then one other person. So they had a hookup. They had a hot and heavy hookup. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Wait. Okay. Now I'm like, I'm like going to turn into like the, I'm going to be your number one fan all of a sudden, like sending you all this information. Like, all of a sudden I'm super into it. This is crazy. Okay. And who in your life like knows that you are the person behind this account like you obviously your friends know your family or do you keep it from everybody no i mean i had to tell people because now this is my job and also i was i you know i get so engrossed in running this account that i'm not available a lot yeah so yes my friends my family my agents people i work with for the account like my lawyer obviously like people like that my publicist like they know do you get scared that anyone will and again not that you're like i'm
Starting point is 00:16:35 trying to hide and I'm, you know, but do you ever think like someone would expose you? Yes. Does that scare you? One person in particular. No, it doesn't scare me because like I said, like I'm not like hiding. Right. So if they want to play that game. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:54 That's more just on the bad on their part. Yeah. Exactly. So exactly. That's fair. But no, I'm not like scared, but there is, there's definitely a possibility. Huh. Like do your friends, when you say something like, you know, the threesome and like, what's your rule for if your friends reach out after? They're like, hey, tell me who it is. Do you just tell them? Oh, yeah. Okay. No, I tell them. I don't think they read every single one of my posts. But once in a while, they'll be like, who is this? Or like, one of my friends will listen to the podcast and they'll be like, who are you talking about? And I tell them. I mean, they're not going to tell anyone. You know. But MGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming, Ontario. Being in this world, I know, like, obviously celebrities have really, rumors that swirl about them. Have you ever had a rumor that you heard about yourself, like, where you're like, this is the craziest rumor I've ever heard? No, because I don't really read. Like, I don't go on Reddit. I don't really like Google things about myself or, you know, I'll say myself meeting the, you know, the owner of the DeMois account. Like, I don't, I don't really
Starting point is 00:19:56 read anything about it. I don't care what haters have to say. Oh, that's so nice. You know what I mean like why I care what my supporters say like if a supporter is going to give me like constructive criticism or give me a suggestion which they do yeah I'll listen but if you're a hater and you're going to come from a place of aggression like block immediately yeah wow good for you i'm like well i'm going to let that marinate for the rest of the day and question my whole self-worth no i don't do that but i i tend to sometimes like we call it on the podcast because my therapist told me this, but it's called shopping for pain. And sometimes I'll find myself, like, looking for hate. And I'm like, what am I doing? And I have to have a little reality check.
Starting point is 00:20:42 But yeah, that's good that you don't read anything. It's funny. Like, as anonymous as I am, like, yes, I know people have opinions about me, which is ridiculous because I don't even really, I try not to put a lot of my own self out there. Yeah. I don't really give that many opinions. I try to keep it at a minimum. I mean, I am human, so it is hard, like, you know, to not give your opinion about things. Yeah. But even with all that said, people have very, I know they do because people have told me, like, they've said to me like, oh, man, like, the people on Reddit hate you.
Starting point is 00:21:18 And I'm just like, whatever. Yeah, I don't even know me. That's, they hate everyone on Reddit. They hate everyone. I don't think there's, yeah, I don't think there's anyone they like support on that site or if they do, I don't know. Exactly. But I'm just like, I'm just using that as an example.
Starting point is 00:21:32 or Tumblr or wherever and it's just like it's so ridiculous to me and you know at the end of the day I know I know this sounds so corny and cliche but like I know who I am as a person and so to my friends and family and that's all I care about I must I mean there's something so nice about that I'm like it like obviously before I went on TV I knew what that felt like but I didn't treasure it as much as I do now. And like for you, it's, it's cool to be so involved and be able to have such a successful career and podcast and platform out of this and still remain like, you know, just surrounded by the people who truly just love you and know you for you. There's something special about that. Thank you. That was nice.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It is. Are you open to posting anything that people write in? Like, it could be false. So are there any situations where you're like, gosh, this person could be just making up a random lie to get me to post about it. Like, how do you trust your sources? Yeah. I mean, that happens all the time when I post anonymous emails. DMs are a little different because I could see where they're coming from. I could see the person's account. I could see if it's coming from a Finsta. I could see if it's coming from a real account that's open and not private. So that's a little different. But when I do email segments where I just post random emails that people send me, that is. That is. very risky. Like I could totally be posting something that's completely false, which is why I have so
Starting point is 00:23:03 many disclaimers. If you guys follow my account, like I put a lot of disclaimers before I post the email segment because I just want to make it clear that like, yeah, I can't. There's no way I could research every single anonymous email that sent to me, especially if it's a blind item. And for your listeners who don't know what a blind item is, it's a piece of gossip that leaves out the subject's name and there'll be clues. So the reader has to guess who they're talking about. So it'll say like, you know, like A-list actor was cheating on his wife. I mean, that's like a very basic one.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Right. So if somebody writes a blind item where it doesn't say the person's name, I'm the worst at guessing those. So I've posted so many of those that are false because I don't know who they're about. Now, once in a while, I'll send a blind item that I receive via email to one of my followers who's really good at figuring them out. And I'll be like, do you know who this is about? And they'll be like, oh, that's about Harry Styles or that's about like Robert Pattinson.
Starting point is 00:24:04 And right away, I know it's like a fan sending in something trying to start a rumor. Because there's certain celebrities where once you say, or Chris Evans, he's like a perfect one. Like anything about Chris Evans that I get on email is going to be fake. It's going to be false. Huh. Really? Yeah, because he has such like, he has. a passionate fan base and they just like to love to spread shit about him gosh I can't even
Starting point is 00:24:34 imagine being on that level have you ever gotten a tip on something and then given the celebrity a heads up about it yes oh well I've done that a lot yeah and do they care or are they like please don't or like could you make money that way where they're like oh my god I would no I'll never take money are you crazy no yeah that's just gave me either That's like blackmail. No. Some have been like, Ha ha, thanks.
Starting point is 00:25:01 And some have been like, please don't post that. And I'm like, obviously I'm not going to post it. I just want to show you what people are saying. Really? So you, oh, okay. So if they're like, please don't post that. You're like, I won't.
Starting point is 00:25:14 This is just, these are just rumors. Like this is what people are saying. Usually, usually if I'm sending something to a celebrity first, I have no intention of posting it. I'm just showing them. Wow. You know?
Starting point is 00:25:25 to be like heads up. I mean, it doesn't happen a lot. And like, it has to be a celebrity that I already have like a DM type of relationship with. I wouldn't send it to like JLo, let's say. Like Jailo has never DM'd me. Yeah. Yeah. What about Adam Levine? Was he like no. Yeah, no, I wouldn't be sending anything to Adam Levine. But, you know, if it's somebody who I've DM'd with before, I would send it to them 100%. Yeah, because I feel like, well, I'm, I don't know you. Obviously, I don't even know what you look like, but I get the feeling that it would weigh on you, for example, if you, like, posted about a cheating rumor and like these high profile people and that could hurt their reputation or hurt their feelings or do you just compartmentalize that like this is just gossip and this is a job, just I feel like that would be hard. yeah i think it depends that's a good question it depends who it's about and like the longer i do this and the longer like or the more often like a celebrity will reach out to me not even about gossip just
Starting point is 00:26:28 about something else like i'll develop a soft spot for that person totally totally because i'm human you know and i'm not i won't post bad things about them i'll admit it like i won't yeah oh it's like it's it's not very you know impartial of me to say that but i can't help it like if a celebrity is nice and they're supportive or they're like hey I love your account like I'm not going to be an asshole and then start posting a bunch of shit about them so um let me be on your good side you're like I don't talk about bachelor people Caitlin get over yourself I don't I mean the thing with the bachelor is like I don't I haven't watched it in years so people will send me so much information about the bachelor and I'll be like first of all my first question will be like
Starting point is 00:27:10 what season is this from right yeah they're still talking about seasons from like 10 years ago And I'm like, is it even relevant right now? So that's the first question I asked them. Like, is this the current season? And then, you know, sometimes, unless it's something that's like already in the news and I get a tip on it, I don't really post about the bachelor stuff. Yeah. Okay. Then I'm safe.
Starting point is 00:27:32 And I'm not doing anything wrong. I know you said the threesome that you would just heard about. Besides that, what is the craziest scandal that's come out that you knew about beforehand? Oh, God. I'm trying to think. Adam Levine, I had, yeah, for example, Adam Levine, yes, I didn't know that there would be a girl going on TikTok talking about her experience with Adam Levine. But have, have I heard stories about Adam Levine? Yes, a million. So when that came out, I was not surprised. Yeah. I was like, oh, okay. I wasn't like, not Adam Levine. Like I was like, he got caught. Classic Adam Levine. Right. Exactly. I was like, he finally got caught. Like, so yeah. So I wouldn't, I would say, I guess I knew about that.
Starting point is 00:28:18 I'm trying to think like what other scandals like have happened recently. I know. What about the Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles? Like, I'm sure you have so much on that right now. Because like, do you think they're together for their movie or do you think that's a real thing? I think it's a real thing. 100%. Yeah. Just cute as hell. Damn it. I love Harry Styles. Yeah. I'm going to say like 100% like. confirmed as much as I can confirm. Like, there's no PR behind this relationship.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Like, it is 100% real. What about the rumor that he's secretly bald? What are your thoughts on that? I don't know why his fans started that. Well, I mean, there was a bald thing that started on my account because somebody sent in a blind item about a pop star who had hair plugs. And a lot of people thought it was Justin Timberlake. Some people thought it was Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 00:29:10 And then Harry's name got thrown in the mix. So his fans picked up on that and started making all these TikToks. And they showed this one picture of him from one of his concerts. I don't know if you saw it where like the front of his hair was kind of flying up where it almost looks like it's a toupee. Yeah. And yeah. So because of that picture, it went viral. The picture went viral and the rumor just spread even more.
Starting point is 00:29:32 No, I don't think he's bald. And I also heard that Justin Timberlake does not have hair plugs. So I would love to know like those, the beauty. detail secrets of like, because Kardashian, Kim Kardashian saying she's never had filler in her face. I'm like, we don't judge. I have filler
Starting point is 00:29:50 in my face. I think it's pretty obvious that you do too. But I don't know. Well, maybe she meant that she didn't have filler in her face at that moment because I do think that that could be a possibility and she has other procedures. She's had had other procedures like more recently, like threading.
Starting point is 00:30:06 She could have had threading. She could have had a mini face do you know what I mean she could have had other things so she could have been telling the truth whereas at that moment when that question was asked to her she didn't have fillers in her face but I don't know how it was phrased did she say she'd never had fillers in her face or did she say look at me I'm one of those that just reads the headline and believes it I know listen we're all guilty of that but so I mean she could have been telling the truth but yeah that's true yeah I mean she looks she looks great I'm kind you are you are kind like there's something like
Starting point is 00:30:39 the Perez Hilton's that used to be out there just bashing people. It's nice to meet a kind one like you. But yeah, Kim Kardashian, they're all just stupidly good looking. Hey, Kitty Gang. I'm Keel Lowry. And I'm Lindsay Crisley. Come join us for coffee combos every Thursday. It's spirit of discussion about motherhood, friendship, family, and life in the public eye. We share our real life experiences, trying to balance it all and the issues that we face daily. We don't always agree with how we each handle it. And we do. And we do. Definitely rant about the frustrations. But we always have a great convo and hopefully learn something by the end of it.
Starting point is 00:31:15 So listen to and follow coffee combos now at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podcast 1, or wherever you get your podcast. Now, obviously there's like ABC lists of celebs. I consider myself a Z, but I want to know, like, what are the qualifications? to be in a certain list and could you give us an example of like a couple celebs that would be in that list? Sure. This is a widely debated topic on my Instagram account. So I'm going to give you two answers. I'm going to give you my answer, which is that if a celebrity is world renowned in their field, meaning like goes beyond North America. They're known in other countries. They're known all over the world. And like your parents have heard of that. And like,
Starting point is 00:32:08 your parents have heard of them, automatic A-list. Yeah, like a Julia Roberts. Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Will Smith, Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian is A-list. Like, I've had people argue with me about that. And it's like 100% she is A-List. Everyone knows who Kim Kardashian is. Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:28 You know, big, big movie stars, big, big, musical acts, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, all A-List. Taylor Swift, A-List. Everyone else is. list. Everyone else, like, is B-list. Like, I've, this is such a random person, but like Emily Blunt, I would say she is B-list. Really? Okay. Kristen Bell, B-list. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I'm trying to think of, like, other actors that, like, we know, but, and are on popular shows, but aren't A-list. That doesn't automatically, like, make them A-list. That's my answer. Now, I had Ariel Lori on my podcast. She's the soon-to-be ex-wife of Chuck Lour.
Starting point is 00:33:08 and Chuck is a huge producer in Hollywood. He's produced two and a half men, a bunch of other TV shows. He happened to call, she called him actually during the podcast episode and asked him an actual Hollywood producer. I don't work in Hollywood. So my answer,
Starting point is 00:33:24 I feel like is kind of obsolete. She asked him what constitutes between A list and B list. And he said talent. Really? It's based on talent, which is a totally different answer than what I was always giving.
Starting point is 00:33:36 But like I said, like I am not I don't work in Hollywood that was just my answer was just based on like kind of logic my own logic so an actual Hollywood producer says that the list is based off of talent so see I would have said that maybe before the social media fame days I maybe would have thought that but now that just seems so subjective I guess I guess I don't know but maybe that's how Hollywood ranks and the rest of the world ranks differently so yeah What would you consider Paul Rudd or more like Paul Rood? I need you to tell me everything. Paul, oh man, Paul, I would say, I would say high B, not A. Okay. High B. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Yeah. You posted about him, right? I need to know what you've heard about him. I did post about him. I did talk about him a little bit on my podcast. I'm trying to remember what I heard about. Okay. God, I don't know how to say this.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Well, he used to be my, well, he is my. celebrity crush my hall pass if you will so I'm scared I know it's nothing horrible he's not a monster okay I do think he has a wandering eye really yeah I do so you're saying there's a chance yes so you're telling me there's a chance yes Caitlin there's a chance um no I don't know I don't know if it's a current wandering eye, if it's a past wandering eye, if it's a consistent wandering eye. I don't know. But that's what I heard allegedly. Okay. Allegedly. Which I think people are surprised about that because he seems like such like a. The best ever. Yeah. The best ever. Sure. But you know, he's human. He's also an actor in Hollywood. Yeah. It's true. I
Starting point is 00:35:34 I mean, even not actors in Hollywood, like Ellen DeGeneres, all the stuff that's come out about her. I'm like, damn, she used to be my hall pass too. Well, I have bad taste. Yeah, that's, that was unfortunate. It is. I guess that that's another one I think I, I think I knew a little bit about before it came out. Really? Although it was on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:35:52 People that had worked for her were tweeting about her, I think, before it really blew up. But I remember way back in the beginning of 2020, I was getting a lot of Ellen stories and I was posting them. And I remember being pretty shocked when I first started hearing how horrible she is. And then she started, then she tried to pawn it off on her staff. Do you remember that? I know. Yes. I was like, and I still believed her. I was like, yeah, Ellen wouldn't do that.
Starting point is 00:36:19 This must be her staff. And now everyone's like, no, it's definitely her. And I was like, damn it. Yeah. And I had a good judge of character, but not with Ellen. No, you have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they have like a monstrous side, I think. It's true. especially in that world. Yeah. Oh my gosh. It's crazy. Now, okay, so I call my listeners Vino's. So Vino's
Starting point is 00:36:39 Celebrity Encounters. As you saw, I asked my listeners for Celebrity Encounters. And we got some good ones. So, okay, somebody had met Brittany's dad, which I love that we don't even have to say Spears anymore. We just say, right? I met Britney's dad, but didn't know as him. He made comments about Britney's sex life and it was very creepy. Oh. How sad is that? That's sad. He should, didn't be talking about her sex life. He's too, he was too involved in her life. The best thing for her is that he's not involved at all anymore. Do you get any tips on her ever? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't post a lot about her because it's a sad situation and I don't think she's doing that great. Yeah. But I think she's trying her best and she's trying her best to move on and get past her trauma. But I think it's really,
Starting point is 00:37:28 really hard for her. And, you know, I think that she, I hope she's getting some help. I don't know if she is. I don't know if she's getting help the help she really needs. But I know. It breaks my heart because we all like, I feel like we're all like invested in her like health and wealth journey of like getting better. Yeah. Everyone's for her. Everyone. Everyone. It's crazy. Even when people are like trying to take her down about being a bad parent. They're like actually that was a good parent move. Jokes on you. assholes and like there's some people and again we don't have to talk about her if we don't want to but I heard that like Sam is like swings the other way. I don't know if you've heard anything about that but I just am like he better not be using her. I don't think I heard that about him. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:14 I've heard so many things about him. I mean people that he went to high school with has has messaged me and they've never mentioned that. But as far as using her, I mean, I'm I don't know. Maybe she's there. He's there to keep her safe in a way. Yeah. I think people overlook that that I think that they're happy that she has someone around her all the time that she feels comfortable with. Yeah, I agree with that. This one cracks me up. They said, I met Adam Sandler way back when he was filming the wedding singer and he had the softest hands I've ever felt. Hot take. Well, it's funny you say that because I did a whole segment on celebrities with soft hands. Stop. And I swear to God, so funny you read that. I mean,
Starting point is 00:38:56 this was way back, like in 2020. I did a whole segment on the celebrities with the softest hands. I got so many submissions. Some standouts were, God, what were some standouts? I want to say Obama. Oh, wow. Yeah, Obama. And I want to say, I don't know why I'm thinking this person.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Jimmy Fallon maybe was another standout. Oh, I feel like he would have soft hands. Yeah. But yeah, it's so funny that people comment on that, right? That is funny. I'm like, I wonder what people think about my hands. I feel like I've got to moisturized. Like, yeah, I'm like, I gotta start doing those hand masks.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Play pool, Barney's Beinery with Beaver. He was by himself and asked to join in. What a little Canadian. Gosh, you probably hear a lot about him too. You're like, no, he's not a nice Canadian. I hear a lot of old Beaver stories. Nothing new. Like, he really keeps to himself.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I think a lot in his later life, you know, after he sort of like went through whatever he went through in the past couple years, he's really kept to himself. So I haven't really heard anything about him. But yeah, you know, when he was a little, when he was little, he was a little punk. You know, you get those stories about him being a little bit of a dick. I mean, yeah, I feel like I would be a little punk if I were him to. Totally.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Again, it's the benefit of the doubt. Okay, I also see that you post celebrity personal assistant jobs on your account. Do you know of any horror stories from people who have worked with celebrities, I'm sure. Yes. I've posted so many anonymous stories from assistants who work for celebrities. But I always have to keep those anonymous because they have signed NDAs. Yeah. But without, without being too specific, there was a doozy.
Starting point is 00:40:42 It was a blind item. And it was about, I could tell you what it's about, because I'm not going to say what it said. Yeah. But it was about Christina Aguilera. Yeah. Which I'm sure you can imagine. Yeah. Working for her. She was the best. She was so pleasant. I always find it crazy when people have those writer items of what they like want in their dressing room or certain things like that. I'm
Starting point is 00:41:05 man, you are spoiled if you like, you know, some of the things people ask for. But I love the writers. It's so fascinating. They're so fascinating. And I've posted a bunch and, you know, some people are like, well, it's just their management asking for things. But still, like the management knows what the celebrity likes. And it's so interesting to see what the celebrities like to eat and drink. It's so particular. Like, yeah. I always laugh like if I do like one of my live podcasts and in the room, they're like, what do you want in there? I'm like, tequila. I don't know. Whatever they have like laying around. Like I'm always like, I don't want to be needy. But I just get like, that must be such a crazy level of status to just be like, I only eat red M&Ms. Like what is the craziest thing you've heard on people's riders? Um, there was an item on Stephen Tyler's writer, Stephen Tyler from Aerosmith. And it was for blueberry muffins. And he included the recipe. Oh. So someone had to bake them? Yeah. I think I have the recipe. Like they sent me his
Starting point is 00:42:10 rider and they sent me the recipe for the muffins. I'm pretty sure they were blueberry. But I was like, yeah. Um, maybe I'll, maybe I'll dig it up and post post the recipe because it was like really interesting. someone also sent me Jennifer Lopez's beauty rider And it was It was jam packed with actually Like drugstore brand
Starting point is 00:42:32 products Yeah And it was old It was old I posted it and a lot of people Actually picked it up And like wrote articles about it Yeah I bet
Starting point is 00:42:42 I mean he was one JLo's skincare routine Right It was an older writer I will say that If you guys have seen it But yeah It was her beauty rider It was like every type of beauty product under the sun, like that you could think of.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Like, shocking to me that would be from the drugstore. I would feel like she'd use the, like, highest of high-end stuff. There might have been a couple of high-end things, but there were a lot of drugstore brand products. Wow. Yeah, that would go viral. I feel like especially with, like, I like how Bethany Frankel is doing, like, just calling out certain skin care, like our celebrity skincare or certain things and then telling me. you like how incredible ones are from the drugstore because I'm like, wow, I want to know those
Starting point is 00:43:24 things. But I also want her to try my wine and tell the truth, but that would terrify me because she is very honest. She is very honest. And, you know, I watch her reviews because I like that she covers so many different categories. But I actually, a couple of her reviews, I disagreed with her not liking some of the products she tried. So I was like, hmm, maybe we have different tastes in makeup. But she recently did one on cream bronzers. Did you see that one? I did see that one. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:54 I did see that one. I was like, okay, I was like, yeah, I need to try some of these, I think. Yeah, I always take,
Starting point is 00:43:59 like screenshots or like, save them and then I write them down and then I never do anything about it. But it's, oh, my God, that's so funny. I'm so, yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:06 I love that shit. Like, oh, Kate Hudson also. I'm a huge Kate Hudson fan. She did her makeup on TikTok. She did a whole makeup, um, get ready with me on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:44:16 And I literally, she told us what she was using, which I appreciated. I literally, bought every single thing she used. Totally. And I did my makeup with it and I reviewed it for my followers. And I'm not even kidding you, Caitlin. Like I still use the combo to this day. Really? Yes. It was like such a fresh, glowy face. Yeah. Her combo of makeup, mainly the, the, um, foundation she used. What kind of foundation is it? God. It was a brand I had never heard of. Really? Until I,
Starting point is 00:44:47 until I saw it on her per Instagram. Hold on. I'll look it up for you guys. now so you're so your everyone's going to want to know I've posted about it it's on my Instagram the whole routine under a highlight called celeb looks okay name of the foundation is by Exa Beauty EXA have you ever heard of that I haven't so the foundation that she used was the semi sat satin foundation and I swear to God like it was so glowy so fresh so light she used she used a bunch of other products. I have it on my Instagram if you guys want to check it out. But the combination and
Starting point is 00:45:26 also the order in which she put on her makeup, I copied that too. And I was like, I know this makes me sound like a psycho, but I just, I love makeup. And her hers, she always looks glowing, right? She always looks like glowing and fresh. She has the cutest little face of all
Starting point is 00:45:42 the faces. I love her. And I'm, that doesn't sound weird to me at all. I'm like, I'm going to buy everything that she posts too. Like, I do that all the time. I get suckered into, and if I like the person that I follow and they're telling me about makeup products and I see them using it, like, I can physically see how good it looks. I'm like, sold. Stop selling. You've already sold. Literally, the rest of my day looks like this. Me on your Instagram for the next foreseeable future. I'm just like, I can't, I can't wait. And before I let you go,
Starting point is 00:46:11 I have to get a confession from you because I feel like you probably have a good one. Oh, God. It's, like, so embarrassing. I don't know why I'm embarrassed about this. I'm actually not going to post it. So this will be the only place. Yay! Somebody will be able to hear it.
Starting point is 00:46:31 But I got a sighting. Monday morning, I wake up and I get this sighting. And I'll read it to you. And I was so fucking embarrassed. It said spotted, spotted Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio together with friends at Costas in Paris. Leo says, so there's this new thing called Des Mois and was explaining to the table. And I was like, yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:46:59 And they sent me a fucking picture of them at this hotel in Paris. And I was like, did he really say that? And the person was like, yes, I swear on the Bible. He really said that. And I was like, how the hell did he describe my account to Brad Pitt? And they were like, I couldn't really hear. They were like, but he said something like, yeah, so people take pictures and send them in and try to get them posted. And he was like laughing. And I was like, oh my God, I don't know why. I was like, I am so
Starting point is 00:47:31 embarrassed right now. No way. Put that on your tombstone. I don't know why I was so embarrassed. I was like, I'm not, I can't post this sighting. Like, it's like embarrassing. Like I don't know why. I'm not posting it. I was so embarrassed. I would literally like that. I want to post it for you. Like I'm like, well, I will. it'll be on this podcast. But like that to me is so cool. I'd be like, you know your business made it. If Leonardo DiCaprio, the A list of the A's are talking about your account, that's friggin' awesome. I just got really embarrassed for some reason. Like my account is, well, my account is not for celebrities. It's for people. So like almost, it was almost like a secret society in the beginning when I started. And it's not like, it's not for celebrities. It's for us. So like the least,
Starting point is 00:48:18 The least amount of celebrities who know about it to me is better because then it's like a safer place to post, right? So like Leo DiCaprio like talking about it to Brad Pitt is like, oh, it's almost like that's why I'm like I am not advertising this. Like I was just caught embarrassed. Okay. Well, I will. I usually get secondhand embarrassment for people when they confess to me. Not for that one. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:48:43 That's that I think that's freaking awesome. Thank you. Thank you for sharing that with me. Thank you for being on the podcast today. Was there anything that I missed that you wanted to share? Anything else? Yeah, no, nothing. I have a book coming out on November 8th.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah. Oh, congratulations. That's a lot of work. Thank you. It's a novel. So it's based on the true life events of how my account got started and what goes on behind the scenes. Oh, that would be good.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Yeah, it's pretty good. It's like very juicy. It's very, it's fun. It's kind of like a mix of like. Devil Where's Prada and Sex in the City and Gossip Girl. Okay. Like that's perfect. That's like how I felt like when those are three of my favorite, you know, movies and shows.
Starting point is 00:49:34 So I mean, I had that in mind. I kind of combine them. But I mean, it's based on, you know, parts of my life. Yeah. I mean, I live in New York and it takes place in New York. And there are a lot of fun little juicy tithes. bits in it. That's really cool. I love that. Good for you. Congratulations on that. Well, thank you. Yeah, it comes out November 8th. And actually, HBO bought the rights to turn it into a TV series.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I swear to God. Are you, like, is your mind just blown about the last couple years of what you have turned this into? That is incredible. Yeah. I mean, I guess it's like I work alone and I work in my apartment. So I'm not really like out in the real world. So I guess it's like, it's like, kind of like hasn't hit me. It's very surreal. Yeah. Yeah. So that is in development. Hopefully it gets made. Yeah, that would be awesome. It's going to be really fun. Like if you guys read the book, like you could totally see it being a TV show. So I already can and I haven't read it. I'm like, yes, this is genius. I love this. That's such a great idea. That's so cool. Well, congrats on everything. I mean, you're obviously crushing it. And I wish I could see your face because I
Starting point is 00:50:44 would say thank you to your eyeballs and said I have to say it to a black, a little black box. Thank you for being on the pod. Well, thank you for having me.
