Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.

Podcast One presents Off the Vine, Great Therapy.
Caitlin Bristow's going to answer your questions, drink to your confessions, and hear what
you have to say about anything bachelor.
Let's shake it up some more.
Here's Caitlin.
Hey, everybody, it's Caitlin Bristow.
Welcome to Great Therapy.
Your session is now starting.
Today I got to talk to a guest who is literally the crafting queen herself, who you may have
seen on her YouTube channel where her videos have literally over a billion views hosting on
HBO Max like those two things put together what and now she's launching her very own podcast alongside
her boyfriend she is also a fellow Canadian who is now living in LA which hey I'll be there any
day down and a dog mom sounds like we have more in common than just a couple of things so please
enjoy it the podcast where I got to talk to the Martha freaking Stewart of our generation
Lauren, a.k.a. Lord DIY. So nice to meet you over Zoom as per 2020. That's how we meet nowadays. But it's so
nice to meet you. Where are you right now? I'm in L.A. Yeah. Because you're Canadian, right? Yeah, because
you were too, right? Yes. Where did you live? Um, so I'm from just outside of Niagara Falls in Canada
and then went to school in Toronto. Oh, so you're like kind of honorary Buffalonian as well.
Oh, my God. I mean, like, I, we would go to
Buffalo for like the shopping and go to Buffalo for like, uh, even just like dinner. So like we were
just right over the border. It's, I, so I didn't know how close you guys were, but I went to Buffalo,
obviously, so my boyfriend's from Buffalo. And I would always, um, or when I went there, I'd be like,
yeah, okay, you're probably like close-ish. He goes, no, literally, it's like 15 minutes over a bridge
there. And I was like, what? I had no idea. I've also never been to Nyack or Falls as a Canadian.
Oh my God, really? I mean, like, it's, so like the beauty of
it and like the novelty of it kind of wears off because that's where we go to work all of
our summer jobs when you're in high school and college like you go serve and you bartend and
all that stuff because it's like a tourist situation there so it's like fun for other people less
fun for locals i mean even when we looked it up i got overwhelmed at the tourism there just
because yeah this was that this was pre-covid so i was already nervous of crowds before them
but anyways i was doing research on you and i saw that your youtube channel
has just under 9 million subscribers as of late 19, which is insane. Have you hit the 9 million mark?
Oh my God. This is actually so depressing. So I've hit 9 million and then I went under 9 million.
Yeah, that's the worst. So sad.
Instagram. I was like, holy hell. I can't believe I got to 1.8. And I'm like a weirdo with each number. So I hated the 1.7.
I was like, I need. And then I got there and I was like, woo, cool. And then I went back down. I was like, oh, humbling moment.
Humbling moment. Humbling moment. I'm the same way, though. Like, something about odd numbers, like, makes me uneasy.
Yeah. So, like, even turning 27 and, like, literally next week, turning 27, I, like, feel weird about 27. Like, 26 and 28 feels much better.
I get that weirdly. And what's so funny is when I say things that are like, oh, my gosh, who is that?
Oh, that was, who was, which one was, oh, that was Pino? I've got two golden retrievers and they love to be.
Oh, my God.
Yeah. So cute. He'll be back. Don't worry.
like, hi, Pino. He's a good boy. Hi. Oh, and now Raman's going to get jealous because I called Pino
good boy. Wait, ramen and Pino? Yeah. That's amazing. Crazy is I actually, that was, I rescued both
of them and that was the names they already had. Are you serious? I mean, like, that sounds like a
Friday night, ideal meal, ramen and Pino. It literally makes me happy. Every time I say their
names, I'm like, this is so cute. But I always laugh at myself when I talk about things that aren't
relatable. People are probably like, oh, I'm sorry, you got 1.7 million. Yeah, I know. He's like
an asshole, total asshole. It doesn't sound like an asshole. Nine million. You're like,
that's just another level. That's incredible. But yeah, so, okay, very humbly moment, but you'll get there.
I mean, we'll hope. We'll hope. You, I mean, if you've grown it this much, I think you're going to be
okay. I, exactly. But, okay, so you began posting DIY tutorial videos on YouTube during your
first year of university while you were living in Toronto, right? Yep. And then how and when did you get
into the world of crafting in the first place? Like, were you just a crafty kid from the get-go? Because I feel
like you got it or you don't. And I don't. I mean, yeah, I definitely was a crafty kid growing up.
I was an only child as well. So I feel like I spent a lot of time crafting. But yeah, and it's so
interesting seeing like how like the craft world has changed now because kids can learn literally
anything through like YouTube and the internet and so like when I was growing up it was like the
craft kits that you could buy it toys or us and like that was the limit of what I could do but it's
always something that I've been like really into growing up and it kind of just blossomed into
what it is now that's I mean how great that you can have a platform like YouTube because so many
people want DIY stuff like I struggle I honestly am like the worst DIY person in the world
like I'm very like I'm great at other things that's like one thing that's like one
thing. If people are like, what are you really terrible at? I would say
crap or DIY. I'm not great at it.
All right. We're going to take a break for a quick question. Did you know that right now
GEICO is offering an extra 15% credit on car, motorcycle, and RV policies? That's 15% on top
of the money GEICO could already save you. So what's you waiting for? Your little
pup to make you breakfast in bed with Belgian waffles and a fresh fruit compote. Now, as nice as that
sounds that's probably never going to happen. But at least there's never been a better time to
switch to Geico. Save an extra 15% when you switch by October 7th. Visit geico.com to learn more.
So you're crafting and doing some DIY projects in college. What did those look like? What was
like your favorite thing that you did in college? Oh my God. I mean, I can't remember what like the
first few. Oh my God. I like literally can't even focus looking at him. I'm so cute. Like my brain is
like frozen.
he's the freaking cutest and it's like very frustrating because he needs to be like in your face like
right he'll just look at oh my god wow until i'm right now i'm dead i know he's
um but i mean so a lot of it i would say was like room decor that was like one of the big
things i feel like especially in having like my first few apartments in Toronto after i moved out of
like college residence um type of vibe but it was a lot of like room decor a lot of like clothing flips
I feel like thrifting. I had like always been really big into thrifting in high school and like college. And I mean,
thrifting is so huge still in that. So it's like something that's never really gone away.
It is still a thing. But I just, I'm maybe I'm lazy. I don't know what it is. And I love when I see
people that are good at thrifting or crafts. Yeah. I'm always like, that's one skill I wish I had. I just
like, and how did you decide to start doing YouTube? Were you like, I'm just that good? I got to get this out on the
internet. Oh my god, no. So I hated my program in university. I hated my program. I was like for the
passion. So I started a blog first. And so I was doing just like DIY tutorials just like a side
fun thing to do, um, you know, to kind of like find a creative outlet outside of, you know,
what school was really lacking for me. And so I started a blog first and eventually transitioned
over to YouTube, um, essentially just so I could actually just like do the DIY tutorial in video
version instead of a photo format.
Yeah.
So this was like, I mean, eight or nine years ago when YouTube was like not at all what
it is now.
And so like going into it, you don't start being like, I can't wait to like get my
first paycheck from YouTube.
Right.
Like going into it, we had no idea that you could make money off of YouTube.
And so it was never like a job prospect.
It was really just like a creative format that I was doing in my spare time.
Uh-huh.
Wow.
That's incredible.
And then when, so what was like that point that you realized, okay, YouTube can
be my career and I can make money like it because what like what did it feel like to have people
so interested in your in your content that you were like okay is that what it was like you just
saw people being so into it you're like I think this is a thing oh my I mean it's like such a weird
feeling like the first time I ever got recognized was like on the subway in Toronto and it's like
such an awkward encounter the very first time because like they know who you are but you don't
know who they are and like they know what you do and it's like it's so weird to just like
walled the fact that like like of just like what the scenario is you know it's so interesting and unique
it wasn't like totally been working your whole life to be recognized or be a somebody right right
someone with a platform that people would recognize so it's got to be a little bit bizarre to feel that
feeling but is that when it hit you when somebody recognized you you're like oh it's like a
culmination of that and then like at the one point where I was like my parents made me pay my own phone
bill and they were like yeah you're off the family plan like you're getting paid now you're
getting checks from Google like it's time to pay your way that's that's amazing and I always think like
there's so many people out there that the the next generation I feel like they're so creative I see their
TikToks I see their YouTube oh my god TikTok yeah everybody just wants to be creative and have this
you know not necessarily platform but like a channel or something to do it on just because they love
doing it but so many people want to cross that line of like I'm doing this for fun into I'm doing
this professionally. Do you have any votes for that? I mean, it's tough. I think, I think finding your
platform, especially, like, seeing how TikTok has exploded in, like, the past year and, like,
fingers crossed that it's still around, you know, come September. But it's like, it's so interesting
to see, like, how some creators, like, their format and their content really lends to a specific
format. So, like, there's girls who I've seen on YouTube, you know, who, like, do incredible content,
but never really found their audience. But, like, on.
TikTok, it just blows up. So I think it's a big part of like figuring out like what you want to
make content about and then like finding the platform that you think it fits best on. Yeah.
I mean, we had less options like back then. That's so true. But I just feel like people, you know,
and I'm I'm guilty of this too wanting overnight success. So like if I have my wine label or
something, I'm like, I want this to go out tomorrow. Everyone's obsessed with it. Everyone loves it.
Everyone's happy about what I'm putting out there. But I think a lot of people don't realize how much
hard work it takes to get there. So when you first started noticing, you know, people watching your
videos and wanting more, did you feel so much pressure to put more out there? Like, I feel like as
soon as you have more and more eyes on you, the more pressure you feel. So opening yourself up to now
millions of people, how hard has that been for you? It's hard at all. I mean, it's a combination of like
feeling a lot of pressure, but also being addicted to it, like so addicted to like the growth.
and making a new video being like excited to put that new video and being like oh is this one
going to do even better than the last one are people going to like this even more and so it's and i mean
i think every creator goes to the process of like finding the healthy balance there because it can
get really really toxic and just like unhealthily yeah obsessive um but yeah i think it's a
combination of that and balancing how much of your personal life you want to put on the internet
because like obviously once it's out there like it's out there forever so it's
It's a lot. It's a learning process for sure. And I think like going into it so young when everything
was so new, we were kind of like paving the way for other creators. So it's like you learn from
other people's mistakes of oversharing or, you know what I mean? Like learning from watching either
yourself up or someone else. Totally. That's, I don't know if this rolls into a confession
and if it doesn't get there. But have you ever done something that you just regretted so much
and put it out on the internet and then just couldn't take it back?
I mean, my last relationship, not that I regret it in any shape or form, but I mean, we were both creators.
And so I think that can get tough finding the balance between two different creators making content, which sometimes is circling around the relationship itself.
And so I feel like that was a learning process of what as well of like over sharing and being like, okay, wait, maybe that was too far.
Let's not share that much.
And then when you break up and you're both creators, you literally have to make a public breakup like announcement video, which is just like,
like so millennial. I don't know. It's just like such a weird concept. I feel that. That was the
weirdest, weirdest part for me too. And it's like, because you've opened up your world for these
people watch you. And then they're used to you with somebody and they're rooting for you and they don't
see the nasty. And like, even though you overshare sometimes, which I do all the time,
they never really understand. And then all of some of that person's gone. So you have to like
address it. And then I feel like as time goes on, you still have to acknowledge what it was.
because it was part of your life and career.
But I mean,
you've had a pretty solid career with everything.
You've worked with enormous companies like Starbucks, Target, Walmart,
which is incredibly incredible.
Thank you.
Tell me all the deeds.
I want to get my wine and my scrunchies and Target.
Like, what did you come true?
But I just think so impressive.
And obviously, you're an amazing entrepreneur to be able to do this.
So would have been some of your favorite products or collaborations so far?
I mean, one of the biggest ones,
we did was a craft kit with Mattel that was exclusively at Target. It was so, so, so cute. And just
like, it's so incredible to, like, see your brand on the shelf at Target. Like, I'm sure being
Canadian, too, like, Target is, like, such a thing here. Like, it's, it's like, part of, like,
my spare time is like, let's just go to Target. Like, stuff is so cute there. It's like,
like, Walmart is nice in Canada, but it's not the same. No, no, no, it's not the same at all.
And Target and Sephora are two places that I'm like, like today. I'm like, oh, I'm going to go buy a brow gel. And then I spent $420 and was like, what? Just. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. Like, do I black out? And I black out. And that's what happens to me at Target too. So good for you. Totally.
Yeah. I know. Literally. So like Target, it's like being Canadian, being so obsessed with Target. Then finally moving here and being like, oh my God. Oh, like Target. So incredible. I mean, it's, I will say like on the business end of it, it's much more of a brand building experience.
rather than like a money-making venture, it's, you know, there's just, it's so interesting to see the
different margins and retail costs of what you can sell something for, like on your own website
versus when everyone takes a big cut of it when it goes to a big box retailer. But I mean,
it's still so exciting, especially like our generation. I feel like we're so excited to like
go to like the actual store. Like online is so big now, but like it's like, I don't know,
it's like nostalgic almost. Like I don't know if that like makes it sound weird, but it's like
nostalgic. No, I actually get that. I mean, especially now. Going into a store is like such a treat
now, like, you know. Oh, literally, I went to Trader Joe's today and I was like, oh my God, an outing. Like,
this is so exciting. I mean, Trader Joe's is always an exciting outing for me, but I forget
love that Trader Joe's in L.A. is much different from other ones, too. Like, it is...
Really? Well, I've only been to L.A. and Nashville once.
Right. L.A. one is just like, I mean, I think this is L. L.A. in general. It's just so
clean and like yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it's like all right let's take a moment
as we continue to adapt to this changing world we're all going to be buying more stuff online than ever
before and if you're an e-commerce seller it's time to make sure you're ready to meet the demands
of delivery culture and you can do that by using ship station ship station truly makes it easy
i've talked about using ship station myself in the past and i know several people who run businesses
online who are in love with ShipStation because it really is the easiest way to get orders

We'll be right back with more Off the Vine Grape Therapy.
Now back to Off the Vine Grape Therapy.
You also are the host of an and executive producer of a reality competition show on HBO Max,
which is freaking huge.
It's called Craftopia, right?
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
So creative kids get to compete in craft challenges to win a prize, the craft trophy.
Craft trophy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you nailed them, you craft trophy.
That's amazing.
How did you get involved in the show?
And were you involved in the development as well?
Because that's so cool.
It's like one of my next goals or dreams is to, like, host a show that I'm like a wine tasting or like something I'm super fond.
Yeah.
How did you get involved in that?
So the producers of the show developed the concepts, kind of like without me, obviously.
And they approached me being like, hey, we envision you as the host and an executive producer to help really pull this together.
And so they brought me on at really early stages.
So we, you know, worked with a set designer to make tweaks and changes.
We developed all the challenges.
You know, I got to have a few final says on like some casting stuff.
And like these kids were so cute.
The casting process was insane.
Like you would not believe how many parents try and finesse their kids.
kids onto TV and like fake a crafting competition application video like isn't that insane like stage
parents just being like oh my god like I want my kid on this show oh my gosh that's so like funny
and sad at the same time it's so weird it's so weird and so anything's going to happen when the
kid gets there and actually can't do crafts and can't do crafts yeah so I mean there was like
multi layers and levels of the application process to make sure that it wasn't like the adults behind
to the camera, like doing all the crafting for them and then submitting it as the application.
But yeah, so they brought me on at like a really early stage and I got to be a big part of like
bringing the show to life before we actually started filming. And yeah, it was so much fun.
These kids are hilarious. They're so charismatic. I just like can't imagine being 13 years old
and being on a set all day, shooting, crafting. Also like crafting under pressure while like
trying to be charismatic and funny and cute. Seriously. I feel like I mean, again, maybe this goes
back to me being lazy, but I just feel like that's so draining. I guess kids have more energy
and stamina than, like, um, than adults. But like at the same time, that that's got to be
hard. Do they, like, I know on shows like The Bachelor and, um, like other reality shows your
emotions get the best of you because you're in this abnormal situation under hyper. Totally.
Do that in the kids or are they pretty resilient? I mean, you know what for the most part? Like, we only had
maybe so we did 12 episodes and three kids per episode so whatever the math is there 36 we only had maybe
like three kids cry and not even all of them were on camera like some of them were just like a
backstage like they felt like they didn't do good enough it was so heartbreaking because they're
so cute and they just crafted so hard but yeah like I mean it was definitely like an emotional
thing for them as well because it's it's a lot like it's a lot a lot yeah I can't even imagine
but that's I mean that makes you feel better though yeah I know a three and a 36 cry
so that's like a pretty good ratio i felt good about that
especially for kids i mean i cried all the time at the age of like 12 so i think that's pretty good
oh my god yeah same and and then i wanted to talk to you about the podcast as well because you and your
boyfriend jeremy are launching um a podcast right we are um he's like doing his like real
life job right now so just me today for his real life job is like there's not a real life job
right side project for now until like the hustle gets going but yeah he's got like a like a real person job you
know yeah yeah oh that's so how long have you guys been together um we've been together for just over a year
and a half now and so our first episode is going out on tuesday i'm so excited so what can people
expect from your podcast i mean so i've kind of like been in the public eye for maybe eight or nine
years now and it's been so interesting like growing up so i'm turning 27 and when i started making
content. It was, not that it was like kids content, but it was family friendly, you know, like,
I had like a very PG filter on myself. And the past year, I've kind of just taken the filter
totally off. So just being very authentic and myself. So it's a combination of just that. And then
we have a pretty funny dynamic. He's, he's like dripping in sarcasm. And it's, it's a,
he's like an ex frat president, tech mogul. But like,
also was on a reality TV show for like um wait oh my god hang on what's it called um for
acapella scene like you know the movie pitch perfect yeah so there was a reality show on NBC
um oh my god what was it called something oh the sing off the sing off and it was it was literally
like pitch perfect on NBC and so he was in acapella literally in college yeah oh my god he's got
such a good voice it's like so annoying it's so annoying
Oh my gosh. That's like, I mean, whatever your partner is like wildly good at, I feel like is annoying. Like, Jason's wildly good at everything. And I'm like, can there just be. Yeah, can you just not? Yeah. Like, just one thing that you're like, like, we went waitboarding. And I was like, he's not like, you know, like he's not going to get up and just like go. And he was like jumping off the waves and like, like, like, he looked like a professional. He was like dragging his one hand in the water. And like, oh my God. That's so annoying.
Of course you can. It's so funny. But that's cool that you guys have that dynamic and that
makes for one, a good relationship, but two, a good podcast. And it's wild till nine, right?
Yeah, so wild till nine. So I mean, we too enjoy an adult beverage. And our thing is just always
that like we're wild, we like partying, da-da-da, but like we also like going to bed early. So it's
like wild till like 9 p.m. And I feel like I didn't even answer your question about what it's about.
it's like everything from like relationships to you know like pop culture stuff and industry stuff
because he works kind of like in the digital social media world as well on like the corporate
side and then obviously like I do the influencer stuff so we both have like an interesting
take on you know everything that's going on and like you know he's always annoyed with like me sending
him TikToks and stuff so it's it's it's fun it's gonna be fun I love that because I feel like
I like I like to get wild and then like head to bed around nine like I feel like that's that's
right at my alley. Yeah. And you know what? I feel like we're probably more like a 1030,
but just like wild till 9 sounds much better than like wild till 1030, you know?
Yeah. It just flows better. Yeah. It's got, yeah. So many of my listeners know that I say this
all the time, but I'm literally, I barely know you and I'm so excited for you to turn 27. Like,
I know it's an odd number and we don't feel good about that, but it's it's the most transformative,
like pivotal year of your life. Like you, I can be. 27.
Yes. I'm telling you everyone I know myself. Like it's, it's so, women especially, it's very pivotal time for you. And like you said, like you started to, you know, like put down your walls and be like, this is who I am. And no filter and I want to be myself. That is like, of course, because you're turning 27. That's exactly when it happens and it only gets better from there.
wait so you've you've literally specifically talked about turning 27 multiple times multiple like oh my god
hearing you say you're turning 27 they're like how has kately not said anything yet i always say that that is
like look it up like google it i'm sure there's something on it because there's just something about your brain
development at 27 at 27 yeah huh that's so interesting oh my god well can't wait to see no which i love for you
because you've already had so much success and you're in a good place.
And I just am like, oh, my gosh, and you're about to turn 27.
I'm sorry.
Time for you.
This is incredible.
You're going to, trust me, at 28, call me and say.
Okay, okay.
We'll talk in one year from now.
We'll do a podcast in one year and you can be like 27 was the actual moment.
Was the shit.
Yes.
I came into my own and I am like in every way successful, like mentally, physically,
romantically in business like everything you're just gonna because you already have a good setup i mean
nine yeah i mean like i don't like everything's pretty good right now so like no complaints no complaints at
all um so okay that's so fun i sometimes i find it really hard to podcast with jason and i'm sure he feels
to say oh you just walk it jason do you ever find it hard to podcast with me sometimes yeah because
it's a relationship and you're like well i want to say this and that we try and like say things over
each other i guess and we both just were very opinionated and we're both very and we both want to express our
and we both want to be right yeah and we also try to have respect it's a balancing act so good luck to you
oh my god oh my god but it's it's it's truly a blessing when you can do that with somebody because
i mean it's not like that's your like you know nine to five you're doing this with somebody you get to
have totally an intimate hour every week to put out something together so it's still great but
I also will be curious to see how you work with your partner.
But do you guys live together?
Yeah, yeah, we do.
I know.
And it's like, it's so interesting, like thinking about that because I mean, that was a
big part of like, okay, like this is like kind, even though this is obviously not
our main hustle, like you're still technically going into business together, which I feel
like is like the biggest no-no of like L.A. industry ever.
You know, so it's like you get scared doing it.
And like, what are the risks here?
So we literally, and this is so cheesy, we made like a pro and con list of like doing the
podcast together. I love that. I think that's really important to do. And I think that just shows your
maturity level in the relationship to like sit down and write those things out of, you know,
because you both sound like business people. And if you're going to go into business with your
partner, let's sit down and figure out why and like what's the good and bad that can come
from this. And then you're more prepared for the bad if it happens. Totally. It's like so we kind of
just like really, okay, what's like worst case scenario of every single outcome that can potentially
happen and like what's the action plan here or both like very type a if that's not
apparent that's it no that's great type a everybody needs a i am not type a for this thing from it
and i always um envy your like structure i mean yeah i feel like we stress ourselves out though
so like type eight you know and it's like it's it's you know pros and cons on both side
oh i'm telling you there's pros and cons to not what what is it type b what am i yeah i think type
actually I heard the other day that there's like another like third. I mean also it's like it's so
insane that like you can categorize people in like two different buckets like obviously like it's more
than that. It's funny now it's like what's your love language? What enneagram number are you and are you
type of type C? And what's your Myers-Briggs? Oh my gosh. I don't even know that one.
Oh my God. I'm an ESFJ I think. What does that mean? I forget. I forget.
You've given me a new one to get into. I know Myers-Briggs. You have to do it after.
I know, everyone's like, what's your aniogram? Like, are you a three-wing two or whatever?
I actually thought I was a three-wing or a three with a four-wing for so long, but then I took the
test honestly and like from a more a more vulnerable place. Right.
And actually a four with a three-wing. Okay, got it. Got it. Yeah. What, do you know what you are?
I'm a three-wing two, I think. You know what? I know less about these. I like just take the test
someone sends them to me and I like love knowing and like reading the description but I like don't
live by it you know no of course I mean no me either I actually go to therapy for like every week
and like live every day by being a four I'm like fun that was so four of me I just reacted like a
four which makes okay well I'm gonna go look up that what does it tell me at Myers Briggs
Myers Briggs it's M-Y-E-R-S Briggs with two G's
Okay. Okay. I'm going to go into a rabbit hole of that after.
Quick question. Do you ever ruin that brand new white shirt you just fell in love with?
Maybe had a little spill or two and just couldn't bring it back to life. So sad.
I've had this happen to me a few times. So just a couple of weeks ago, actually, I was wearing the cutest new white shirt and feeling pretty good about myself.
And next thing you know, I spilled on myself, as pretty usual. I had to throw this shirt out because I could not get the stain out no matter what I tried.
and I was really sad about it, and I wish I had known what I know now, and that is OxyClean White Revive.
OxyClean White Revive revives your dingy whites, bringing them back to brilliant and bright.
And it's safe on colors, too.
This is a serious, serious game changer.
It has 40% more whitening power than chlorine bleach per load without any of the negatives that come along with using chlorine bleach.
It can seriously save those items you thought were ruined and heading for the trash.
I've had this happen to me more than once.
or those whites that just aren't so white anymore.
I have a few pairs of white sheets that just didn't look as great as they once did,
and I was not thrilled about it, but OxyClean White Revive has brought them back to life.
You've got to try OxyClean white revive laundry, whitener, and stain remover for yourself.
To work your magic with OxyClean, go to OxyClean.com slash try me and order a free sample.
That's OxyClean.com slash T-R-Y-M-E for a free stain fighting sample while supplies last.
I have a quick game for you, and then I need...
Oh, my God.
It's to me.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
I'm scared.
We'll do a little game, so then you're all lubed up to confess.
Oh, my God.
Okay.
I can take my sweater off.
I'm like stressed.
Okay.
Let's go.
Let's go.
I'm ready.
Sweters off.
Game on.
Your favorite YouTube video you've put out?
Oh, my...
Literally, this question is so hard.
I genuinely, like...
I probably, after, like, doing so many interviews,
I probably should have just, like, a prepped generic answer, but I don't.
You know what? I just did a truth or drink video the other day with a friend of mine, and we've both been on YouTube for so long. And it was so much fun to just like, no, I just like start taking it. It was so good. I can't believe it's still monetized. That is the best because, I mean, I mean, I'll, for anyone who doesn't drink, like, don't be influenced by me, please, by any means. But like, doing some, like, my podcast with wine or, you just, you know, you just let loose a little more. And then the. Totally.
content happens but again if you don't drink don't be influenced by me um okay what's your favorite
late night activity with jeremy uh day night activity so i feel like this is like a new
pandemic thing but we live um like valley-ish in l-a and so there's like all of like the big
the big hill obviously it like separates like the valley and like uh the rest of ala so we've been like
doing this thing where we'll like pack the back of um our car and just go like bring some take out
and watch the sunset in the back of the car which is really cute
I think I like it more than Jeremy. He like tolerates it because he knows it makes me happy,
but it's so fun and so cute. Good man. I like that. That actually sounds, I'm like, wait,
I want to do that. There's really nowhere to, like, in Nashville. Actually, we do get really
beautiful sunsets here. Literally the most beautiful sunsets of life. Like, I feel like we could just go
that actually we get eaten by cicadas. Do you know what a cicadas? Oh my God. Okay. So my
friend is from Japan and she was telling me about their cicada situation and it's like a thing it's
like a real threat to like everything their actual alien zombie bugs i don't know what you want to call
them um but they they have like these crazy wings they're huge they um have like so many layers
that they can literally just shed and then go to the next thing i hate that they shed like a whole shell
and then they play dead but they make like alien screeching noises and um it's it's traumatic and jason
i experienced one got in our house the other night and we literally well but we grabbed our
instagram stories because it's funny but now at the same time oh i'd have to move out that'd be
the end of it for me i'd be like have great house for sale i did want to burn the house down yes
yeah immediately contemplated that but um thank god i didn't because i'm over it now
But in the moment, it was very traumatic.
It was, I'll Google the Myers-Briggs.
You Google cicadas.
Got it.
Okay, I'm on it.
I'm on it.
We'll be right back with more off-divine.
Grape therapy.
Hi, guys.
I'm Bella Benson.
Welcome to another episode with me on Too Tart to Be Crazy.
Transvers all of the saliva into my mouth.
So I just have to keep swallowing, trying to swallow it as his tongue is just,
like doing its thing like all the way down my throat mortified like i wasn't scared anymore to admit
what i need and to ask for what i need and i just feel like it's like a whole new dating chapter
for me honestly i typed in you and instead of going to youtube it went to you porn be sure to check
out too tired to be crazy on apple podcasts spotify and podcast more this is off divine grape therapy
Okay, tell me about your dog
Oh my god
Oh my god, he's literally at school right now
He's just like been like a psycho this past week
So we like take him to doggy daycare once a week
Like the over parenting LA parents that we are to our dog
Um
He's what
You should see me
I cradle sometimes I like
Sometimes I want to feed them
Um like they have not dry food like sloppy wet food
And sometimes I want to sit down and feed them by hand
Because I'm like a bonding
experience. Like, I'm a freak, so you don't have to worry about that with me.
I love that. But yeah, he's a mini bull terrier, so he's like the same breed as the target dog.
Oh, yeah. Oh, I love the. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's really cute. He's got, like, the big long. He's like,
head is basically all nose and all snow, and he's very sweet. He's very cute. He's like a 35-pound
little cinder block. Like, he's very dense. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can see that. Yeah. Yeah, he's a pretty
happy boy for like how small he is but yeah he's so cute my my mom is literally dying for
grandchildren that like are not four-legged and this is this is all i can give her right now is moose
that's oh my oh yeah i knew your dog's name was moose which is such a good dog name um kate what was i
going to say about about moose oh yeah 35 pounds um my golden retriever is 47 pounds wait that's so
small for a golden i feel like right one is so tiny pinot is like more dense and thick but he's still only like
54 pounds, but ramen's just like a little skinny, a little baby. A little baby. Oh, my good little
baby. Oh my god, the dog voices that just went on is mortifying. Um, that's, that was like very
subtle for me. Like usually I'm like, I like, I go, they're probably going to like storm in here now
because they just heard that. They heard the dog voice. Yeah. I go like the most high pitched squeal
you could ever hear in your life and they love it. And they love it. Yeah. It's their language.
they understands yeah that's jason always makes fun of me because he says like a really high pitch
with ramen and for pino because pino's a bit more of like a i don't want to say dummy but like more of a
dingling yeah no i get i get it yeah i like talk like this to pino but i and it's uh it's a whole thing
i mean i get pretty good dog parents i'm i'm one of them so did you get them at the same time
or did you get one and then one they just they just rolled in it you know what it was it was raman
because I did the high pitch.
The high one.
Good here.
Come on.
You're a good boy.
Yes, so we got ramen first.
And then Jason surprised me with Pino, which was the best gift of life.
Like, if you would have told me a few years ago, I would date a guy who would surprise me
with a golden retriever for Christmas.
Like, that was all my vision board.
Okay, I love that.
Wow.
So dream come true.
Had you guys had the conversation about getting a second dog?
Because I know, like, we have the second dog conversation all the time.
but we're too scared to pull the trigger on it.
Okay, well, here's what I will say about it.
It is very, um, it's really challenging, but it's also very selfless because to give your dog a friend.
Yeah.
They just like, they crave being around another dog that they love, but it's hard because you
have to make sure they're like, like, is your dog good with other dogs?
So good with our dogs, yeah.
Okay, okay, great, because otherwise that could be a problem.
But yeah, if your dog's good with other dogs, that means it's a him, he probably wants to be around another dog.
So that you then, and then at first it's like a little weird.
And at first we were like, should we have done that?
Because like, it took some warming up.
Yeah, it's just warming up.
And then you're like, how could I love another dog as much as I love ramen?
Oh my God.
That's how I feel.
It felt like a stranger in our home, but like we loved him, but we felt weird about it.
And I talked to the girl that runs the organizing.
where we rescued them from.
She goes, this is every dog owner who gets a second dog.
They question their decision.
And then after like a month, they're like, how did we ever live our life without these
two dogs?
Like, it's truly, truly the best.
And so Jason and I did have that conversation about having two.
But he was kind of like, well, we didn't even think we could do one.
How are we going to do two?
I was like, I think it'll be easier.
And he said, because I'm a very, I like to consider myself very intuitive.
and I go off my gut feelings.
I have won bets from doing that.
I will go to Vegas with Jason.
He was like, how the hell did you do that?
And I go against the rules.
And he said to me, what is your gut saying about a second dog?
And I said, I truly believe we're supposed to have this other dog.
And now we're like borderline.
No, we are fully obsessed.
Right.
Full blown.
Full blown.
Full blown obsesses.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
Well, like I'm kind of so.
We literally go back and forth.
And especially like right now, being home so much for like the foreseeable future.
it's like if you're going to do it now is the time now is the time 10 out of 10 would recommend
oh god oh this we literally just had this conversation like maybe a week ago and then we closed it
and then at dinner tonight to be like so i had this conversation today yeah no it's and and it's
always going to be like the uh should we yeah but once you do it you're like oh my gosh
i can't believe we even thought about this i i hope that's how it goes for you because that's how it
goes for most people okay well in a year from now in our next conversation
our next podcast, we'll touch base on this again.
Yeah, we're going to touch base on your miracle year of 27 and your second dog.
My second dog.
Full circle.
That's crazy.
This is my last little question of your favorite things is your favorite piece of advice you've ever received.
Oh, oh, God.
I mean, it's like how generic of a Pinterest bitch do I want to be right now?
live laugh love live live laugh um i mean it's like something that i kind of like always lived by and like
used to justify everything is just that like everything happens for a reason so it's like okay
we're 100% full-blown Pinterest bitch right now but like genuinely when something like doesn't work out
or doesn't go the way that like you wanted it to i'm like okay like that's fine the door's closing
that probably means another one opening down the line and that's kind of something i've always used to help
like soften the blow of something that I didn't envision working out the way that I had wanted
it to. It's like, okay, you know what, this wasn't meant to be. And, you know, something else down the
line is going to come to fruition. Because that's probably never led you in the wrong direction.
Like, I'm sure you've had experiences where things didn't happen and then something else happens
where you understand why. So for people right now that are listening, if you're in the, like,
thick of the why me, you have to understand that, again, you can come on my podcast.
a year, and then you'll understand, you'll go, this is why. This is why. There's
always, so as cheesy and Pinteresty as it sounds, I'm a true believer in things happening
for a reason. Yeah, totally, totally agree. Everything in life happens for a reason. There's always
an answer if you are willing to find that answer and accept it. Right. It's perspective. It's all about
perspective. It is all about perspective. That is one thing I've learned from dating Jason Tarnick. He is a
big perspective guy always looking on the bright side i'm like oh my god really that's so but jeremy is
like the opposite like i'm like a glass half full he's like glass half empty and i'm like stop being a
storm cloud yeah that is that is us except i'm the storm cloud right of reverse i'm more realistic
i'm just a little more realistic you know what that's what jeremy the storm cloud says too he's like
i'm not an optimist or a pessimist i'm a realist that's that's what us a pessimist people say
it's so funny
I had a conversation with a girl
that listens to the podcast
her name is Kate's and she's so lovely
and she was like
Jason calls you negative
I'm like I know and she was like
I don't think you're negative
because I don't think negative people
can get to where you've gotten to
and I said thank you for saying that
that's really nice I mean true
like definitely truly if you're looking at everything
in like a really shitty perspective
then you're not going to like be doing it
and living your life and like conquering things
I think I'm more
Storm Cloud Jeremy and a fact
where I'm very sarcastic.
Okay, yeah, yeah.
And I think that's just part of the humor or like, I don't know, maybe we're just really
dark and twisty.
He's going to be so mad when he hears this and he's like, you called me a storm cloud
Jeremy on the podcast.
Yeah, but tell him I'm relating to it.
I am storm cloud, Cleveland, and sometimes the sun shines and sometimes it doesn't,
and that's okay.
And that's okay.
You know, that sounds really good.
Storm cloud.
Caitlin sounds much better than Storm cloud, Jeremy.
I might change my Instagram handle to that.
Yeah, I love a Twitter, Twitter bio maybe.
Twitter bio. I'm just changing the whole TikTok. Look me up.
Free brands.
Rebranding is always good. Keep things spread.
All right, everybody. There is more to explore at the Home Depot.
From furniture and home decor to bedding and more, Home Depot.com has endless options for every space.
In fact, they are sponsoring a really fun segment on Off the Vine where I get to share some of my decorating expertise.
So let's dive in.
Even though I love interior decorating and doing home renovations or just little projects around the house, I would definitely not call myself an expert, but that's exactly why I love the Home Depot.
They're kind of becoming my little sidekick when it comes to home projects that I've been doing and I feel like every time I go onto their site, I find something new that I get really excited about.
So last week, I know I talked about how I'm in love with their home decor section where I got that little tray.
I think I put it on Instagram.
I got that little tray that's added some great detail to my kitchen,
but this week I am super into their home decor ideas section of their website that I never even knew existed.
So if you go into DIY projects and ideas, then home decor ideas, they have over 400, yeah, 400 videos or pieces of content that go into everything from flooring projects, paint ideas, and what to do in your bedroom.
It also shows you how difficult each project is so you know what you're getting yourself into.
too. I actually just found this video on how to fix a broken drawer in my kitchen. Difficulty level,
beginner. And you know what? I'm a professional now. It's very empowering. They also have buying
guides if you're looking for the best type of showerhead for your bathroom or what paint finish to
use. It can be super cost effective to take on some of these projects yourself. Plus, it's kind of fun to get
crafty once in a while and feel like I'm on an, you know, an HGTV show or something. I know that even though
I just renovated a couple rooms in my house.
Little projects like that will probably never end for me
because it's just so much fun to keep finding new things I love
and to make my home even better.
I also love that their website is so freaking easy to navigate
and useful because right now we obviously want to try and stay at home
and I can both stay at home and get expert advice from Home Depot.
Win Win.
Seriously, DM me on Off the Vine with your favorite home renovations
or design questions
because I truly would love to use my new expertise to help some of you vinos.

Okay, I lied. I have one more. I don't know if you have this experience, but favorite celebrity encounter you've had in your career.
I'm trying to think. Oh my God. You know what? I feel like I've like seen a lot of celebrities, like just doing like movie red carpets and stuff, but I haven't actually interacted with that many celebrities, I feel like. I met Rich Brian, the ref, or not that long ago, at the Mulan premiere. And he was so nice. I'm such a fan. I'm so awkward when I meet celebrities. I just like shut down and be like,
turn into a total fan girl.
Wait.
Lulan, did you have something to do with that movie?
No.
One of my good friends is in it, though.
And so it was literally one of the last events that I went to before COVID and before
everything shut down.
And I got so lucky.
I mean, it's coming to Disney, I think, super soon.
But I got so lucky and we got to see it.
We squeaked it right in before everything.
That was me.
I literally contemplated going to New York because of everything, but this was before the
craziness. And March, I think, second I went because do you know who Dermott Kennedy is?
Yeah, it sounds super familiar. He's a singer. He's from Ireland. He's incredible. He's my favorite
musician. And I am like, not like romantically in love with him, but like I'm so in love
with his voice that it like comfortable. I went to his concert. My friend Evan and his wife
Betts, they got me and my girlfriend. They got my girlfriend and I think it's, yeah. They're
got my girlfriend and hired tickets and at the end they surprised us and we got to go backstage and
I'm like I'm like a weirdo with um I never want to seem like a fan girl even if I'm being one so
totally totally you want to be cool yeah I want to be so cool and literally we went up and Dermit came in
and I was like sweating a little bit and my girlfriend went up to him and she was like she's a really
big fan she's so no no and I was like and I was like no I'm not it's cool everything's fine
A loser.
I was like, uh-huh.
Anyways, can we grab a picture?
So, but like, can I get a pic though?
It's like my profile picture now on everything.
Right, right.
Fan page.
You started a fan page with that photo.
At StormCloud, Caitlin, profile picture, me, and Dermit Kennedy.
I love that for you.
It's a really good look for sure.
Thanks, thanks.
I'm just trying to get more followers.
Just trying to get up to the million.
Thank you.
I'm just kidding.
Okay, before we, I let you go, do you have anything else that you have coming up, anything that you want people to know, or if not, just tell everybody where they can find, obviously, HBO Max, the show. But your podcast coming out and Instagram and all that good stuff. Yeah, so everything is Lord DIY pretty much on all the platforms. And then the podcast is wild till nine. It's, you know, available on all the different podcast streamers. And then we're doing a video portion too. So we launched the YouTube channel officially. This is like a little side of the set.
So we're doing the whole video thing, which just means that you have to get ready for the podcast,
which is like, I have mixed feelings about, you know, it's like sometimes you want to just,
like, chat and look like shit, but, um, hit me right now. I literally have like greasy
slicked back hair in like a terrible tank. No, it's like very like Haley Bieber, though, you know?
It's like I feel like that's the like the look. I'm going for because Haley Bieber always
worse things like. Yeah, the low bun. Yeah, you're nailing it.
Frenchy and the like slick back hair. And then I'm like trying to do minimal makeup with just like some
lash because I'm again like I think Haley Haley Beaver might be my girl crush but I think it's only
because I love Justin Bieber so much that I'm like right you want to be her yeah I want to be her
got it like a really non-previewing um right yeah that's I mean it's people like seeing the videos so
you know what you're doing over there that's so great and I love having you on you're such a treat
to talk to and we'll have to one year from now what yeah one from yeah exactly we'll put it in
