Episode Date: October 6, 2022Jill Chin, her beautiful hair, and her admirable vocabulary join Kaitlyn to deep dive into this week's episodes of Bachelor in Paradise. Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads Sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.
This episode of Great Therapy is brought to you by Everlywell.
For listeners of the show, Everlywell is offering a special discount of 20% off an at home lab test at everlywell.com slash vine.

It's time for off the vine. It's time for Off the Vine Grape Therapy. Welcome to your weekly session.
Caitlin and friends are here to share unfiltered advice, lots of laughs, and some major breakthroughs.
So put your feet up, pop a cork, and get ready for some grape therapy.
Welcome to grape therapy. I'm your host, Caitlin, and
Today, your therapy comes from Jill Chin.
My gosh, I'm trying to freaking choke down this turmeric, some shit that I'm drinking.
And I almost choked right before I let myself in.
How are you?
Good.
How are you?
I'm like, gosh, I'm so good.
I'm so excited to talk to you.
I'm like brain fog galore.
So I never, ever, ever do a cleanse.
Like, I think cleanses are, no offense if you do them.
but I think they're the dumbest shit I've ever heard of.
But this one that Chris and Cavalry was like,
you've got to try this one because you get to eat during it.
And I was like, okay, that I can get down with.
And so I'm doing this five-day cleanse.
And it's almost too much.
Like I'm like trying to gag down this daytime latte that's turmeric something.
And I'm like, I'm putting too much in my belly.
It's interesting.
But I also feel like brain foggy.
So I'm apologizing beforehand.
No worries.
You can also tell I'm full of.
energy at the same time. So it's going to be great. It's going to be great. Okay. Most important question
I'm going to ask you this whole podcast. Is that your real hair? Yeah. Fuck me. How do I do
that? How do you, were you just like genetically blessed with that hair or do you, what do you do for your
hair tips? Oh, no. It's just, it's genetic. It's the Asian genes, baby. Oh, gosh, you're so lucky.
I was literally just creeping your Instagram being like, how can I get her hair? It's perfect. Okay.
Thanks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, we'll get into deeper stuff than that.
I'm always, I never know if I'm jealous or super happy that I never did Paradise.
There's times where I'm like, gosh, that looks like a really fun time.
And then there's other times where I'm like, that looks like my personal hell.
Yeah.
So I know it's been a little rough for you as far as we can see.
But overall, how was your Paradise experience?
Oh, God.
So it was the hardest thing I've ever done, which I think is good.
It should be, you know, like you want to put yourself out there and really give it your all.
So it's tough because, like, I had so many good memories.
Like, when I think back on it, it's like so nostalgic and I'm like, oh, like watching it back,
it's lovely to watch back and like, well, not lovely, but it's fun to watch back.
But yeah, there's highs and lows.
There's good parts about it and there's really, really bad parts about it.
So it's definitely mixed.
It's a mixed bag.
I mean, when you mix all of the things, no sleep, emotions, love trying.
Angles, alcohol, all of those things.
Like, that's just like the recipe for a perfect storm.
But with a perfect storm comes, you know, really high highs and low lows.
And I know you said that on Tuesday's episode that Paradise was harder than the Bachelor.
Did you still feel that way by the end?
We don't know when the end is for you, but by the end of your time there, where you like that really was harder than the Bachelor?
A thousand percent.
Yes.
I guess if you're saying that it was the hardest thing you've ever done, yes, I can go ahead and say that that's probably.
It was probably true.
Why?
Yeah, way harder.
It's because it's not, it's your love story.
And so it's not about The Bachelor.
It's all about your love story and you having to navigate these, these like relationships
and between like just friendships and also like romantic relationships as well.
And so I wasn't used to having the focus on my journey.
So, you know, in The Bachelor, there's definitely some like downtime.
There's time, there's most of the time you're not with the person you want to be with.
you're not with the lead, but this time it's like, you're spending 24 hours a day with these
people. And so it's chaos. I never actually thought about paradise that way, if I'm being
honest. Because I was always like, well, paradise seems like a breeze because usually you're like maybe
competing with one other person, but usually you just find your person. You guys can hang out the
whole time. But yeah, I never thought of it as like, okay, well, this is your love story. This is on you.
Yeah. Which, I mean, the love story could also be friends. Who are you still friends with from your time
on The Bachelor.
Oh, God.
Like, all of them.
Like, Rachel is my best friend.
So Rachel, Teddy, Hunter.
Oh, my God.
Hunter's like the best.
Yeah, Hunter's a sweet.
Well, we were, I hosted a date with you and Hunter was on it as well.
And Marlena was too, right?
Yeah.
She was there too.
Oh, that's so fun.
That was a fun day.
Well, it actually wasn't, but it was for me.
I know.
That was a horrible date for me.
That was the worst.
Well, you were going through a lot that people didn't know, too, at that time.
which, you know, I'm sorry about all of that
because it's so hard because, you know,
they only have a certain amount of time to share things.
But you're friends with pretty much everyone still from your season.
Yes, I love them all dearly.
Wait, even Chenet.
So, yeah, it's interesting because we're beginning to see on Paradise.
Sheenay is kind of like redemption.
And so I'm a big believer in second chances
and that no one's irredeemable.
And so I was going into it like very fresh
and expecting a lot from her.
And I think you're going to see as time goes on, what to expect from Shaday.
So I love a redemption story, especially in paradise.
They all, you know, the villains always get a redemption.
And I'm always like, this is so good for them because, you know, you get a certain edit.
Not that it's not really who they are, but it's just like this edited version.
And then you're like, I want to see the other side of them too.
And then you do, you know, like, oh, I can understand the misunderstood side.
Yeah.
I know you say you believe in second chances.
Do you believe in third, fourth, and fifth chances from Romeo?
No, not at all. Not at all. And it's funny because when I was watching it back last night, it was, I said, you know, usually when you give someone a second chance, they do something with it. And so if I give you a second chance, that already in and up itself is a blessing. And if you don't do anything with it, then I'm sorry. Like, I just don't have any more chances left. Yeah, I can't remember the word you said. But Jason and I were watching Monday's episode last night as well. And you used a really good word. I'm blanking on it. Would you remember what it is? It was like,
it was like was i like flabbergasted because i used the word bamboozled a lot no but that's a good
word wait jay can you come here for one second it's gonna bug me if i don't remember this word but we were
like man she handles this situation like a freaking boss and like well spoken and you're like no
i'm not blah well because what i love is that you still took his rose but that that's because
you can still go experience things with other people okay remember jill used a word last night you're like that was a
word? Um, it wasn't for fairness, was it?
Was it insidious? I said insidious. Yeah. It was, yeah. That's what it was. I say that all the time.
Yeah. Insidious. Jason was like, that's a good word. And I was, Jill, and I was like,
hi. Oh, it's up. Jill. Great, great word. Yeah. Thank you. Love it. Some of my best. Yeah.
Thank you. I still don't know what that word means. Insidious. Like darksided. Very like, yeah.
Oh, that's so funny because I.
I try really hard to like, if I hear a good word that I'm like, oh, that sounds smart.
I really try to use it like the next day so that it becomes part of my vocabulary.
But no, I just have to accept the fact that I don't do big words.
But that was a good word.
Okay, Vinas, one thing that I'm definitely believing is true is when you know more, you can do more.

You handle the situation with Romeo and like, have you always kind of been that way or did Bachelor teach you how,
to think logically instead of emotionally.
Oh, well, I think a lot of people would think like that I am extremely emotional because I am.
Like I cry all the time and that's just and people say I'm dramatic, which I am, whatever,
assume me.
But The Bachelor taught me for sure to have healthy conflict because I'm so like non-confrontational.
But yeah, I think the Bachelor definitely taught me how to have healthy conflict because you're
constantly talking about your feelings and I really like had it talked about my feelings that
much with other people or interpersonal relationships between like friends. And so, yeah,
definitely that was something I learned from The Bachelor for sure. I'm only saying that because I kind
of learned a lot of things with my emotions from the show. So because you had such a good experience
on The Bachelor, did it make your decision easy to go to Paradise or were you like, ooh, I don't
know. I was so 50-50 about going. Yeah, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to
like put myself out there again. And I had heard like mixed reviews. And so I was really nervous
because I, I really had to do like a lot of like self-love before I went because you're,
you're being, you're in a bikini. You're on the beach. You're surrounded by these gorgeous people.
And so to feel, I felt very small on Clayton's season at times. And so I think I really had to
kind of like step into myself and just fully accept myself for how I am in order to get myself to
the beach. So I love that. Wait. How did you do that? Because I think everyone can
learn a lesson from how to love yourself. And it's, to me, that is such an honest answer because
it really, like, I felt so secure when I went on The Bachelor and the Bachelor, I became so insecure
because I'm like, oh my gosh, I walked in there being like, nobody's going to beat me. I am the
greatest. And then I like, halfway through, I'm like, everyone's prettier than me. He has better
connections with everybody. Everyone has better hair and this and their body's better. And you
start comparing because what else do you do when you're around a bunch of gorgeous women? It's like
you start playing that game. So.
what did you do for yourself between Paradise and Bachelor that got you ready for that?
Yeah, I think that, so everyone's version of self-love is so different.
Totally.
And like self-care.
And so I honestly, I had to like release all attachment to outcomes.
Like whatever was to happen was going to happen.
So not worrying about what was going to happen, just kind of living the experience.
And also just realizing that like I am whole, like as I am.
And I don't need to live up to someone else's standards in order to feel whole.
I guess I haven't really struggled.
with my appearance like before the show honestly. But when I was on The Bachelor, that's when I started to be like,
oh my God, like, maybe I am like inept in some ways. And so I really hated how that made me feel.
And so I guess just realizing like my individuality was like powerful and just like kind of the way that I am
naturally, I think that really helped me just kind of realize like someone's going to love me regardless
of the way I look or, you know, I really had to start seeing like my body as like the vessel for my soul.
Yes. And just like the bestful for love. And I think that's kind of what got me there because
oh my God, you can spend so many hours in the gym and so many. And then you can show up and still
feel the same way. So I knew regardless, like there's nothing that I could have done physically
to make me feel better about myself. It was all mental. That's my favorite answer. Anyone has
ever given me ever. I ask these these questions a lot about like how do people get to where,
you know, they are at now and self-love. But that's one of my favorite answers I've ever heard.
So thanks.
kudos to you that was amazing i might even like take some of that with me and yeah into my next
conversation because that's beautiful okay we saw you get pretty excited about rodney um hit the beach
which i would have too because i love rodney yeah who are you the most excited to see like
going into paradise rodney it was so like you knew going in okay yeah what is it about rodney
oh he's just like yeah he if once you meet him he's just like the brightest light
And he's so funny and makes you feel so welcome and just his energy is absolutely everything.
And so I was just so drawn to his energy.
And I was just so excited to like actually get to know him.
Yeah, he's just like his energy that you just can't really describe.
You have to like you have to meet him to understand.
I agree.
I agree.
I had the pleasure of hosting Michelle's season.
So I got to meet him there.
And I was like, this guy is literally the best human being on the planet.
Yes.
100%.
He is so great.
And then who were you the status at this point to see leave the beach?
Hunter and Teddy.
Hunter and Teddy.
Kay, what happened with Teddy?
It felt like she just, like, ghosted out of there and there was nothing, like, unless I went to the bathroom during that part.
But what happened?
I think she was, so she had a conversation with Rodney and, like, went really well.
And I think she was scared because she wasn't as sure about her relationship with Andrew.
And there had been so much, like, leading up to her.
her meeting Andrew and there's a lot of like buzz online about like people were shipping them
together and so they had really I think they both really built each other up in their minds
and you you I said it like on the show like you can't predict chemistry and so um I think in her
mind like things just weren't working out the way that she had hoped and it really freaked her
out and she felt a lot of pressure from that and I think she was also scared that perhaps like
that she would hurt Andrew and so I think she really like had to remove herself from that
situation because she just wasn't ready to kind of deal with those emotions
I kind of respect that because she could have easily stayed and then seen where things went with, you know, Rodney or whoever else that she had a connection with.
But it seems like she really didn't want to hurt Andrew, which is adorable because I would fight whoever hurt Andrew as well.
I know. I don't know if you know this or I don't want anyone to have to speak for Teddy, but does she stand by that decision or does she regret leaving?
No, she does.
Okay.
I love that.
And then was Andrew okay after that?
Was he feeling the same way?
Like, did they both feel like they wanted it to be there and it just wasn't?
Or was he more hurt by it?
I think he was obviously very hurt by it.
I think you'll kind of see in the next like a couple episodes like what happens with Andrew and kind of how he handles it.
It's definitely not something that's not going to be talked about ever again.
I don't think because it was like very prevalent in his journey.
Yeah, of course.
And then let's get into a little bit of the drama.
Like I need to be walked through what exactly.
exactly went down with Romeo, you, and Kira before you guys saw each other on the beach because
it was kind of like, oh, we were hanging out. We were good. We were friends. And, but then it seemed
like a little more than that. So what really went down before the beach? Yeah. We, we tried to
explain it as best we could like on the show. Like the show did the best that they could to try to
explain it because it is like so convoluted. But the basis of it is that on convoluted. Okay,
yeah, go on. So yeah, I mean, Romeo Kira.
and I were friends before Keir and I were really good friends. And then we had met Romeo when we
were in New York. And so we were all kind of friends. There had been some sort of like flirtation
and romantic interests between Romeo and I, but we had never explored it. We never kissed. We
never went on a date. We were just like flirty friends, I would say. Got it. And I was definitely like
willing to explore something outside of Paradise if that were to come to fruition. But then Romeo had
kissed Kira in the club and I didn't know about it. Um, so then,
when I found out about it, obviously it really hurt me because they were, they were close to me.
So we had actually squashed all of the beef before we went to the beach.
So when she came down kind of guns blazing, I was like going after Romeo.
I didn't even know that she was actually like romantically interested in Romeo.
That was a shock to me.
I thought we were fine.
So that was really like what's going on.
Well, your facial expressions are some of the best.
So it was like you can see it all over your face.
I know.
But that's what we love.
Like, I remember saying to one of the producers when I was talking with my hands and doing stuff, I was like, I'm way too animated for this.
They're like, no, it actually is better.
People at home, like, gravitate towards the people who are more animated and facial expressions.
And that's how I feel like when, like, we feel watching you and Genevieve on the beach.
I'm like, yes, more facial expressions.
But that makes sense because you were like, what the hell?
Because she did.
She came in guns blazing.
Yeah.
So have you guys squashed it now or will we see that play out?
more too um you'll see some more play out for sure but i haven't spoken to kira since since paradise so
really yeah so i don't know really where that stands i have a lot of respect for her yeah i i know i made
like the comment about her being a physician like you're a physician what's going on um and obviously i
don't mean to say like oh you can't have fun on the beach you know i have a lot of respect for her and i think
she's like a great person i think she's like incredible and everything that she's done so yeah i don't know
that's maybe maybe to come we'll see
Yeah, because Romeo just keeps digging himself a hole and just keeps getting himself in trouble.
And then he seems really upset by it, but then he'll lose something dumb again.
I'm like, what is this just?
I always try to understand who people are and why they behave this way.
So I'm like, I don't know Romeo.
Like, yeah, he was on Michelle's season and I met him through that, but I don't know him.
Yeah.
Has he had passed trauma with relationships?
Like, what is he so afraid of him?
Why does he keep messing this up?
Do you know?
Yeah, I think, well, this is what?
just would have gathered from like my friendship with him before and also just like knowing him
like on the show. I think that I think this also goes for like both him and Kira perhaps. Like they both
are they both have PhDs. They're super educated. They both graduated from Harvard. And I think so much of like
that early time in their life has been taken up by school and kind of like pursuing like academics
and like building their career. Same with my sister as well. And so other parts of your life fall off from
that. So maybe not being able to explore relationships in the way that your people.
are. And so I just don't think he's as experienced. That makes so much sense. Like, if I were to
guess, that's probably what I would have guessed because I know a lot of people like that. And it
totally makes sense. I on the other hand, literally just like did whatever. And now I'm like,
oh, my gosh, please. Like, can we not go to any bar ever again? And like, I don't have any interest
in doing anything where I'm like, oh, I've just lived. I've lived my 20s. So I totally get that
because if I hadn't, I think I would maybe be that way, especially on the beaches of paradise.
Yeah, this is like, it's the perfect opportunity to, like, sew your wild oats.
And if you have never done that before, then I think that, like, this is obviously the time to do it.
Well, Paradise totally gives you permission to do it, too, because as uncomfortable as it is, especially when you're like, come off the Bachelor of the Bachelorette and you're like, oh, I'm just wanting to find that one person.
I don't want to fight again and do all this again.
And you see the love stories like Jared and Ashley.
And you're like, well, I just want that.
So it's then, you know, that mixed with the permission of, no, just day.
a bunch of people and see what works and it gets very confusing it's very strange to like be able to date
multiple people and like it's so weird i couldn't like it's so hard for me to do yeah even i mean there's
something so different about it compared to the bachelor too because i don't know what it is maybe the
expectation where you know like there's a bunch of girls and one guy right and then in paradise it's
like well there's a bunch of all of us and we're all going to form different connections and you get way
more time with everybody so it's way more time to find chemistry with different people and
I mean everybody's great that comes down on that beach it's not like there's any like two's coming
down there with shitty personalities yeah I know I know I know everyone is like fully stacked it's
great okay I don't mean to go back to Kira but we saw Casey talking about Kira's love language
which was bleeped out do we know what that was I'm gonna go ahead and say it was like her
love language is yeah do you know what it was what's her love language
that we all don't know.
I think we can like potentially assume like and then but yeah, I don't know.

Do you know who else had met before the beach? Because I'm not convinced
that Brandon and Serene met for the, or maybe they did,
but they were like, they were already smitten when they met.
And then I'd know we're going to see Sally come down soon.
And somebody was like, oh, Justin, Sally, we're all over each other, stagecoach.
Yeah.
So who else had met before the beach?
Do you know?
Yeah, I don't know about Brandon and Seren.
I don't think so.
Okay.
Serene is very by the book.
She's like, we're going to do this right.
So I would assume that they wouldn't have.
And then, yes, Justin.
and Sally did meet at stagecoach. I had a couple of other friends that went to stagecoach
that met him as well. Of course, there's always stagecoach drama. Yeah, always. There always is.
Stagecoach gets a lot of promotion on a Bachelor of Paradise. No, it really does. So, yeah,
I know that they had met, some people met there. I'm not sure, like, anybody else. Like,
I had met Rodney, like, very briefly. Oh, you did? Yeah. I had met him in the club.
In the club. But, yeah, so I met him briefly. But I don't really think any,
anybody, like, had, like, secretly met up. I don't think so.
Yeah, you always wonder, because there's time in between for people to do that.
And I know people have really screwed themselves over by doing that as well.
For sure. I like that serene's by the book.
Yeah. And I honestly wish I was too, because I probably wouldn't have gotten myself in this mess.
But like, I might like, honesty is the best policy. Like, I was like, yeah, like,
Romeo and I had met and we had had some flirtation before. And like, that's what's going on.
That is the best policy. Like, there's no point. Like, it's just messy.
to have secrets.
Yeah, exhausting.
Exhausting.
Also, when Wells was telling you guys the story of Sally,
like, did you know that weird montage was going to happen?
Did Wells talk about it at all?
Or was that like, I was watching.
I'm like, what the hell is going on?
I was laughing.
It sent me over the edge.
But I was like, what in the fuck is happening here?
I think that was post-production.
I'm pretty sure because he had this like, I mean, his storytelling ability is like great.
It was incredible.
Oh, my God.
Like, tell me what happened.
But, yeah, we had no idea that any of that was going to happen.
But is that story true?
Because he was saying, like, is 100% true.
Yeah, apparently it is.
From everything that I've heard, that story is true.
The story is true, yeah.
I always wondered, too, because I'm like, would she just not be a part of that?
Because she doesn't want to bring her, like, X into it or talk about it.
So they're like, well, we'll just make up our own story about it.
Either way, it was highly entertaining.
And there's no way that that suitcase was, oh, it is true.
I just got word from the higher-ups.
It was true.
Wow, that's amazing.
Yeah.
But there's no way that was her suitcase because I feel like that if her
suit, if her luggage made it, they would have, they wouldn't put it in your room to be like
with a sign.
I know it's a big sign.
I know, yeah.
I just want to say, because I was the one that like opened the suitcase, I would never open
someone's personal belongings.
I'm just, that's all I'm going to say.
I was wondering if, because people were probably like shitting on you for doing that online.
And like, why would you open a bag?
I was like hair extensions and the vibrator.
It was very entertaining.
It was genius television.
I really fully enjoyed all of it, including the montage.
Yeah.
But that was, yeah, I was like, this is hilarious.
Okay.
Who is your favorite couple that we've seen on the beach so far?
Ooh, okay.
Michael and Sierra.
Really?
I loved that couple so much.
Okay, same.
I'm like well Jason's really close with Michael so I've become close with Michael and he didn't
really tell us much because one I don't like spoilers and two he has a contract right so when
I saw that relationship developing I was like wait this is really cute and I love their
conversation they they both seem like such genuine like salt of the earth people for sure and
yeah so I agree I didn't think you're going to say that because to be honest I just was like
Oh, the king and queen, like, Serene and Brandon.
But you're right.
They are a really great couple.
Yeah, it was so unexpected and just, like, really sweet to watch.
It was honestly so sweet.
Yeah.
I love that.
So funny.
Like, his commentary this season is just killing me because it's like they're really not even
playing it up.
The dad vibe.
He is a dad vibe.
But, like, he's so young and attractive, but also, like, such a dad and, like, old man
energy at the same time, which is what makes him so special.
Yeah.
I honestly call him.
I'm like, everyone says he's like dad vibes.
I think he's like dirty grandpa.
Like honestly.
Like if you know Michael A, like you know he's dirty grandpa.
He's dirty grandpa.
And the best way possible.
I love him to pieces.
But yeah, he's dirty grandpa.
That is incredible.
Okay.
So the double date with James Aaron, Genevieve and Chenet was quite interesting.
Were you surprised by Genevieve hitting it off with Aaron after how invested emotionally she
was with Justin. I mean, he's
just in such a catch. I love Justin. Not saying
Aaron isn't, but were you surprised
by that relationship?
I wasn't terribly surprised because
I knew like there'd been all that stuff
with like Victoria and
Justin and I
just wasn't sure where that relationship stood.
And so I think going
into the second week, I think
she was open. And I think
that's how she should have been. And so
I don't know. It was, it was really
interesting to see like to see Aaron.
I mean,
Chenet and Genevieve going on a double date.
Like that is like the funniest thing to me.
But yeah,
I think I think that I was,
I wasn't like terribly surprised
because I knew there was like there was trouble in paradise.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's so funny because like you said,
those two going on a double date
because they had the two on one that was so chaotic
on Clayton's season.
So for them to go.
But I was like,
wait,
Genevieve was so like upset by Justin and so like into him
and didn't want him to date anyone else.
And then she was like,
I'm actually really hitting it off of there and didn't have a conversation with Justin.
And I'm like, what are you doing, girl?
I know.
I think the grass is like, the grass is always greener.
And so we'll just have to see like how everything plays out for sure.
Is it though?
Is the grass always greener?
I don't know.
We're going to see.
Well, we're going to find out.
Stay tuned.
Okay, we saw a preview for the next week and that you are actually going on a date with Jacob,
aka Tarzan, who is now starting to look like he has a little more depth than we thought.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
And you guys got fully naked.
We did.
So had you guys talked on the beach so far, or is this a brand new romance for you?
This is brand new.
Yeah.
This is a brand new romance.
You'll kind of see, like, I hope, I hope you see in the episode, like, how it starts
because it's so unexpected and it's so weird.
And, like, I remember thinking, like, who am I going to gain Gaines to Tarsan?
Like, I was, I wrote this guy off from the beginning.
I'm like, this guy's a clown.
There's no way.
But then when you talk to him, he does have depth.
Like, he has depth.
and he's endearing and he's sweet.
And I think people are going to like, once this happens,
I think people are going to start to see that side of him.
But yeah.
So does the Tarzan like start to like, like, does this romance blossom?
Obviously you can't tell us.
But like, are you, are we excited about this one in the following weeks?
Yeah.
I think it's something to watch.
That's sad.
Personally, I think it's something to watch.
But yeah.
I really can't wait.
I love watching things without knowing spoilers.
And I know, I don't.
know anything. I know one thing actually out of, out of paradise. And otherwise I stay off
the spoilers. So I'm excited to watch. Okay, I heard that you have an incredible confession for me.
And that's my favorite part of the podcast. So let me know what your confession is.
And I'm not.
Stop.
I literally said this man has to be a ghost.
Like he has to actually be deceased.
There's no way he has ghosted me.
Why?
Did the date go so well?
So well.
I had never had a better first day in my lifetime.
And this man ghosted me and I, his name, obituary.
Like, I'm not kidding.
I checked the obituaries for this guy and it's so embarrassing.
Was he a real ghost or did he just ghost you?
No, he just goes to me.
Oh, that would have been a really tragic ending.
But, I know.
Wait, did he, this was before Paradise, before Bathurst?
Yeah, this is before Paradise.
Did he reach out to you once he saw you on TV?
No, no one would reach out to me after seeing me on TV because I'm crazy on TV.
It's like, I'm like, this has squashed any options I could have possibly had.
I disagree.
I feel like guys love crazy.
Well, I do.
I really, I really do.
I'm not that crazy.
Like, I'm not crazy in relationships.
Like, I'm just, like, crazy, like, in this situation.
Me, too.
Yeah.
But I feel like that's part of your charm and your beauty is having a little bit of crazy in you because same zies.
And that, that situation brings out the crazy in all of us.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So, no, he didn't reach out.
I haven't heard from since.
He goes to me.
Dang.
I want to, like, have you crept his Instagram?
Like, is he private?
Like, I want to.
Yeah, he's private.
Oh.
He's private.
I'm private. Interesting. Of course he's private because he's probably still ghosted since 2015.
I know. He's been ghosted. So I was so excited. I was like telling my friends, guys, I think this is going to be good. Like, it was so sad. Oh, my God. Do you see my nails? I'm so sorry. Look at that. Oh, that's right. Yeah. No, I got nothing on my nails.
Wow. Low maintenance. I was at Target the other day and I broke a nail and I was like, what am I going to do? And the target owner was like, well, you're at a target. I can get.
you some nail glue. I was like, yes.
And then it just fell off again.
I'm going to play one quick game with you before I let you go.
Okay.
And it's called the BIP Award Ceremony.
Ooh, I love it.
So who in all of this season of Bachelor in Paradise do you think would win each of these categories?
If anyone else comes to mind from past Paradise seasons, whatever, you can throw them into the mix.
But, okay.
Top tutor, most likely to let one rip in public.
Oh, God.
Ashley I
I think that's yeah
Ashley I would for sure
freaking kills me
okay the energizer bunny
someone who just keeps going
and going and going
Jacob
really yes
Tarzan the energizer buddy
okay the toolbox
for anyone who's just like a
Mr. Fix it or they can fix
anything emotionally too
oh Michael A
I was I was going to say
him or Wells
yeah oh Wells too yeah
okay the fire extinguisher
to the person
who always puts out the metaphoric fires.
Ooh, God, that's hard.
I feel like,
I feel like Andrew kind of always tries to diffuse a situation.
Yeah, that's nice.
I can see him doing that.
Andrew's very even.
Is he really?
Yeah.
Very logical.
I could see him and, well, I thought it would be Justin,
but then after watching Justin in the last one,
I'm like, I don't know so much.
Oh, he's stoking it.
Yes, he's stoking it.
You're the arsonist.
That's hilarious.
Yes, frigid Justin.
Okay, who's a warm hug on a cold day?
Like, most comforting.
Oh, most comforting.
Rodney.
Oh, he's so comforting.
I love it.
Early Bird Award.
Who is always up first?
Victoria Fuller.
Really?
Yes.
She would just be sitting.
I would wake up.
I would, like, crawl out of my cave.
And she would just be sitting looking at the ocean.
With her big, beautiful eyes.
I can see that.
Yeah, just beautiful.
Just sitting there like an 80s.
I'm like, how the hell?
Interesting.
Oh, I'm not a morning person.
How would you guys go to bed?
Probably like three or four.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's tough.
Who would get the peacocking award?
Biggest show off.
Aaron.
Ah, yeah, yeah.
That's good.
Okay.
And then Babyface Award.
Who's most likely to get IDed when they're 30?
Oh, God.
Who looks for?
Really?
Yeah.
Thank you. Oh, my God. Thank you. I don't know. I feel like, I mean, Victoria looks super young. She's just like. Yeah, you're right. She's snatched. She's snatched. She's gorge. That's amazing. Yeah. She's great. We actually go to the same trainer here in Nashville. So I run into her every once in a while. And we have some mutual friends. So she's lovely. You're lovely. Thank you so much for being on the podcast today. I feel like every time I watch Bachelor in Paradise or Bachelor, I always have certain people that I want to talk to.
You were obviously one of them.
So thank you for coming on the pod today.
Thank you.
I'm excited to see what is to come for you.
And do you leave Paradise really happy or really sad?
We don't want to have to see.
Damn it.
I know.
I try.
But even if you said the truth, I'd probably have to edit it out.
Tune in.
Exactly.
Tune in.
Okay.
Well, thank you so much.
And enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you.
My pleasure.
Before you go, where can people fight?
What's your Instagram?
Oh, my Instagram is Jill Chin underscore.
Jill Chin underscore.
And if people were to follow you, what are they going to find?
They're going to see thirst traps.
They're going to see some thirst traps.
They're going to see.
I'm just keeping it real.
I love that.
They're probably going to see like my job, outdoors, and then my cat, duh.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
That freaking cat that you had in the preview of Paradise really scared me.
Okay.
It gave me nightmares.
Really scary.
I know.
I'm so sorry.
It's okay.
You should start.
Instagram account for it. Okay. Thank you so much. Thank you. Okay, I'll talk you soon. Bye.
