Starting point is 00:01:25 When we're among vinos, there's no filter. It's time to unwind. Here's your host, Caitlin Bristow. Welcome to Awful Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow. You guys, the TikTok queen is on the pod today. You probably know her from her hilarious videos impersonating her mom or maybe her cute videos of her and her daughter. It's Kat Stickler.
Starting point is 00:01:50 I swear we were sisters from different ministers in another lifetime because we just, we just, We just vibed, okay? She's a Spitfire Firecracker, a fellow ambivert. We talk all about her journey on TikTok and navigating the vulnerable moments publicly and how resilient as hell she is. She's a bad bitch. She's an inspiration to so many and you know what? I'll say it.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I love her. She has a good confession and this has a little something to do with it. I'm going to say it without ever meeting her in person. I love her. And sorry about the cliffhanger at the end, okay? I really blew balls to you guys with my confession. Oh, you'll see what I mean. my conversation with the amazing cat.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Oh my gosh. I am having an absolute battle with my dog right now of who is like in charge of this chair. Like he will not stop. Beano. Like, oh, Bino. And he just won't move off this chair. Dude, can you get down? You can just leave him on there.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I think it's fine. Well, because then I need this microphone to come here, and then he, there we go, there we go, off, off there. There, dad's good. Oh, my gosh, he's been like crazy for the last five minutes. How are you? I'm great. How are you? I'm so good. Thank you so much for coming on the pod today. Thank you for having me. I'm so excited. Like when I, I'm just going to say it really quick, you were my favoriteest, favoritist when you were on the Bachelor and then Bachelor, but like, it's so crazy. We're here. now and I'm like you were my favorite you were just it was so funny I'm like she's so funny yes oh my gosh you telling me I'm funny makes me feel like maybe I am funny you're funny I promise you yes I feel like you would make a good bachelorette if that was ever a thing I feel like you would be very entertaining to watch I you have very contagious energy which is really refreshing on the old internet but are you always a ball of energy or
Starting point is 00:03:55 is like, I feel like you're like a firecracker. Is this you all the time? Or are you like, because me, I'm a ambibert. Oh, so am I. Are you really? I've never met another ambivert or someone who knew what it meant. Oh, I'm a fellow ambivert here. Yeah, like I've got to recharge a certain way, but I can like turn it on and turn it off and it's, I'm all of those things. Yeah, you're the same way. I'm the same way, which is kind of weird when you do like TikToks daily because you have to like be in tune. with your like emotions when you turn it on but then you also have to be real at the same time so it's like kind of balancing yeah that's true i i do find it's hard to be super authentic on oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:04:37 are you having wine no oh oh i was like i should join you i put it in a wine glass because it's an energy drink and i don't want to do my dishes so it's that's perfect that's really perfect But I will say I find it hard to be super authentic when you turn on that app or like an Instagram story because I try and pride myself on being like real on social media, but am I turning it on a little bit? Yeah. And you're like trying to entertain at the same time while still staying true to yourself. So that's an interesting, interesting way to look at it. So do you like TikTok better than Instagram? I think Instagram's nicer than TikTok, but I do owe TikTok like my success. Like I wouldn't be where I am without. to talk so it's a weird i think uh instagram does a better job of filtering out the bullies so it's nicer for me emotionally to go on instagram like i feel like it's a safe space yeah why is that do you think why do you think ticot has such a bullying audience i don't i honestly don't know i don't know if it's like if instagram has the same but it's just highlighted more on ticot i feel like it's just easier for it to pop up for some reason well instagram's been around longer they know how to monitor it more but
Starting point is 00:05:51 Instagram is definitely a safer space for me, but I have respect for TikTok because I'm very grateful for it. Yeah, of course. And also, you have freaking 10 million followers on TikTok, which is bananas. So I feel like naturally you're going to get more people saying stuff because it's like 10 million compared to people. Okay, that's a good point. That's probably what it is. That's probably what it is. I mean, that's got to come with the territory of having 10 million TikTok followers. This is so crazy. I want to know what a day in the life looks. like for you like what when you wake up in the morning what is your routine i really don't have one i always wanted to be that girl that was like meditate and read and go in my workout and like be that
Starting point is 00:06:33 perfect i just can't do it and i've like come to accept that and that's okay it's every day like if i don't have my baby i'll do a workout class in the morning yeah it depends on the order but my days usually consist of getting ready to film sometimes it might be at 12 o'clock at night or sometimes it It might be like at 8 in the morning. It depends. Oh, my gosh. Trying to work out or just be outside for a second because I'm home all day sometimes if I'm not traveling.
Starting point is 00:06:56 It's like a little cabin fever. And I do just write like I try to write skits. I write like skits like funny. Like I try to. There's so many like Hispanic mother videos that haven't come out because I just film them. I'm like, no, that's not funny. I didn't hit the comedic timing. I should have done it better.
Starting point is 00:07:14 So I like try to create like that, but it's kind of hard to force yourself. be funny. Wait, I have a question. Why in the hell would you ever start recording at midnight? Because M.K. would be asleep. Like, if my baby was asleep. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You got to work around her hours. I work all around her. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, wow. Do you, how many skits do you like film a day? I film a lot, but I only show like one or two. I'm very like particular about what I show. Because I've been in like different phases like, I got to pump out content every day. But like you said, it gets to a point where you're like, I don't want to. I'm not being genuine. And I feel like people can tell that.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So it depends on the day. But that's so interesting. So were you a writer or something before TikTok happened for you? I was an English major. Yeah. So I loved like, it loved writing. I did. Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 00:08:04 So you, okay, the last couple of years have obviously been pretty wild for you. When you first opened the app, what were your expectations? Were you like, I'm going to blow up the internet with my humor? Like, what did you think was going to happen? I wish I was that confident. Yeah. I like to say that. I've done interviews where I'm like, yeah, I totally knew that. And then I look back and I'm like, you liar. You did not know. Stop lying. So I was English major. But then I was doing, I was pre-med because like for my parents, they were like, you're going to be nothing. If you're a writer, fine. So I did that. Then in that process, I got pregnant. Then Gagnon got married, all that stuff. Started TikTok. And then at that point, I was a research coordinator at the hospital. COVID hit. So I was doing this like trans cranial magnetic stimulation. It's called TMS.
Starting point is 00:08:52 It's like therapy for post-combat trauma veterans. It's like if you have PTSD, yeah, it's like if PTSD people that cannot get better with therapy, they cannot get better with medication, they cannot get better with anything. And honestly, I digress, but it usually comes down to not sleeping. But anyways, yeah, it was a new research study I was doing and I loved it. And then COVID hit. And because it was a research study, I had to stay home. So I was home with the baby.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And I was just like, what do I do with my life? like I don't know what to do. I was going to like, I'm like, I don't want to be a doctor anymore. I'm going to be a lawyer. So I started reading like law books. Oh my gosh. And then I'm crazy. I'm like great at starting to commit. And I'm like, never mind. I mean, that's a better step than I would never open up a law book in my life. So good for you for even. What were your parents? You know what? You might though. I needed mental stimulation being around a kid so much. I'm like, I need to think like in adults. That's true. All of my friends who have kids say they get so sick of just like not sick of it. I guess. is not the right term, but like, um, you forget how to talk to another adult because you're talking to a child all day. Caitlin, I went to a hockey game with my friends and I was so awkward. Like, I was just sitting there like, I'm not like that. I'm like, I didn't, I was, I didn't know how to start conversation. I couldn't keep a conversation. I was like, wow, this is rough. That, it's normal. Yeah, I heard that's a, that's a real thing. Because your parents, how do they feel now that you're so successful on TikTok. I mean, when I told my mom, like, what I was doing, like, when I was like, I'm all in,
Starting point is 00:10:20 she's like, of course, so traditional. And she's like, what are you doing? Like, this is the worst idea ever. You have to move home with me. You're going crazy. I'm like, okay, it's okay. But I didn't really tell her until, like, I don't really tell people what I'm doing until I'm actually like benefiting from it somehow, like it's working. So when I was starting to make money, that's when they kind of realized. Yeah, that it could be a thing. She was more okay with it. Yeah, like I bought her a bag and like, hey, mom, look. She's like, okay, okay, I love this.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Okay. All right. That's when I'm in like Uber's or someone asks me like, oh, what do you do? I have a hard time answering it because I'm like, if I say podcast, it always will lead into like, well, how did you get there? And then it's all a whole story. So I usually lie and I'll be like, oh, I just like get social media deals for people. That's what I always say. When people, if they were like, hey, what do you do?
Starting point is 00:11:15 like if you're in the back of an uber and they're like what do you do how would you describe it i'm i said i was an entertainer like online and i didn't hear it i just didn't process it's like oh pornography like and i was like what no like how dare you and i realized how i said it so now i literally don't even know what to say when people ask me i always like just go oh i do comedy on ticot yeah person named my mom like i sounds so weird like when people ask me that's why it's i was trying to think of what you would say, because if, and I feel like as soon as you say you're a comedian, people expect you to be funny. And it's like, then you feel like you're disappointing them because you're like, I'm literally like in an Uber. I'm not trying to be funny right now.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I'm trying to recharge. Do you feel like people expect you to be funny if they like meet you in person or if you say you're a comedian? I think so. But like also, I would expect you to be funny because like you were funny. Like I saw you be funny. So I'm like, she's going to be funny. So I think they just kind of... That's true. So maybe like I'm funnier than they think. Like maybe if they didn't know about background, they wouldn't think I was as funny.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I don't know. But yeah, they definitely expect me to be funny. Okay, Peloton workouts are made to work for you. I know in the past I've definitely tried a few workouts that were not made to work for me, like going to the gym and not knowing what I'm doing, even though I enjoy working out.
Starting point is 00:12:35 I just don't know where to start there. Or just taking a class that felt like, you know, it was a foreign language. But with Peloton, they really make everything so convenient and accessible no matter what level you're at. And did you know, Peloton actually makes a rower not just bikes. But MGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming, Ontario. What was your first TikTok you ever made? It was like some prank thing.
Starting point is 00:14:25 It was always a prank. Pranks because, and I think they did so well because, like, a lot of them were real. I was so bored. Like, I'm like, I need this excitement of, like, doing something no one knows. And those were, like, how it kind of started. And then I just kind of started opening up. I kind of really started blowing up when I posted about, like, postpartum depression. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:45 PPD. And I just talked about like what helped. And I did like in a dance like, here's what helped me. And people just kind of connected to it. I'm like, oh, okay. Like people don't talk about this. Let's talk about more. Or just.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Right. Whatever. So I kind of just tried everything. I did a lot. That's, do you have any videos that you're like, oh, damn, I shouldn't have posted that. Oh my God. When my divorce was happening. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:06 It's literally called Sumbent from Mars. And sometimes I was like doing deals. It was when COVID was like big and they wanted me to do a deal for a mask, right? So I thought it was a mask. It was a hazmat suit. Like I swear it was like from here like an astronaut. And I was like, you're kidding me. I cannot do this.
Starting point is 00:15:24 But anyways, I ended up not doing it, but I had the suit still. And I was like doing my makeup, like just blush here. It looked like I was Sembert. And the video is called Sembert from Mars. And I'm literally losing my mind in it. And like, I go, I love. and I turn around it's like you and then like I walk forward it's like bitch I don't even know what I'm doing but like I'm really like clearly losing it slowly I mean I don't know if I regret it but like it's like an online diary where you really see what was going on wait so were you talking about your divorce or it was when you were going through it and so you were losing it so it was actually at the point where I didn't think it was going to happen yet but then like because I have so many videos of what it happened and I was like oh mess and my manager was like Honey. Yeah, like, we can't post this. We can keep it. We can look at it when we want. But everyone has to know. Like, this is so unfair. But that was like leading up to it. Then, and then it all happened. And then, yeah, even then you see me like processing. Like one day I wake up in my new apartment, no furniture after the split. And I'm like, hey, guys, I slept in last night's makeup. I feel so beautiful. And like, I was crazy. Like, what the fuck am I talking about? I just got divorced.
Starting point is 00:16:40 And I'm like, I have a great beauty tip. And I, I don't know. I was, but I do want to say that you did inspire people with your resilience and and going through that and just how you just kept going on and you're like, just got it. And you were so raw, which I, like I said, like I love seeing people actually open up on social media to like realness that's happening and actually showing emotion. But public breakups are so hard. I know because I've been through one. But like, you didn't know this was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:17:10 happened to your life. It just kind of happened and you blew up. And then all of a sudden, you have to go through something so vulnerable online in front of so many people. But how did you, how did you turn that beat around? Like, how did you go from going through a split online, such a vulnerable time to turning the beat around and deciding to just like continue on your own and that you've got this? That's such a good question. These are great questions. Oh, thanks. I'm like looking deep in my soul. I think. So I'm actually very private person. I didn't even tell. Yeah, I didn't tell. I told my immediate family, but like I have family like in Venezuela and Brazil. And I did not tell them I was getting a divorce. I told the internet first
Starting point is 00:17:51 because I was so like ashamed and I was embarrassed. And it felt safer to tell however many million people than to actually like look them in the face and say, hey, this is what happens. So yeah, it was so hard because also people do want to see you vulnerable. But yeah, that was new for me, like filming that like I had to do a video after like I was losing it and I was like you guys think I'm fine like I'm not fine like right I cry every time I wake up but I don't want this to be about that like this is just the process it's just healing it's painful it's like labor like it's a labor pain like we just got to get through it and I think it was very cathartic because it helped me process my emotions verbally and also even having that platform kind
Starting point is 00:18:33 of push me to not go into like a silent depression well also my daughter did but like it was like go do things like you can film it go do something so you've got like this kind of responsibility too with that many people following you that you probably wanted to help other people who could be going through something similar and there are so many people who go through you know heartbreaks or even like having to leave a job having to grieve different things in their life that you made it relatable to them and you kind of got people to be like okay I'm going to be okay too and I can wake up in a new apartment with no furniture with my makeup on from last night and I'm going to be okay.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I love that. Is there anything you feel like you really learned about yourself during those hard times? Because when I always think about my rock bottoms or like my going through hard times and I'm always like, wow, I'm resilient as fuck. Like I'm like, I can do anything. I thought about that the other day. I'm like, I'm such a bad bitch. Like I've gone through the wringer.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I'm like, how am I okay right now? That's a big deal. It's such a big deal. It's so good. I was like looking at all my one of the most like it was like one of the horrible things about divorce with children you know is time sharing and also she's a young girl so she's like you know my baby and one time she didn't want to go for an exchange and I felt like such a bad mom because she like was crying and hanging on to me and like saying I don't want to like she was speaking so
Starting point is 00:20:00 clearly and I broke down like immediately like had my moment broke down it was my birthday actually And then I went to the bathroom, I know, resilient is, I'm okay, I swear. So I went to the bathroom and filmed it because I just, there's so much power and vulnerability. And I do believe it's like the root of all connection. Like that's how you can, that's what makes. And there's something about having a platform, but building a relationship, it just takes it. It's just a safe space. It's so much better.
Starting point is 00:20:29 And it just, like, two years ago, I would never do that. I would never let anyone see that I cry. That's ridiculous. No, but now I'm like. all right, let's make these tears work for you. Let's talk about it. So it's totally different. Tears work. Don't waste a good cry. Don't just cry by yourself. Phil. What are you doing? You're not alone crying if you've got 10 million people right there with you, supporting you.
Starting point is 00:20:53 That's incredible. Looking back on that whole time, is there anything that you would do differently or are you like, no, it all has its reasons? Yeah, I have to say it all has its reasons or I'd lose my mind. I'm sure there are some things, but I don't think about it. I have regrets from certain things that I've done or like looking back. I'm like, oh, I could have done that differently. But you know what? I guess it is part of the process. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:17 I feel like any regret that I could think of is always just choosing to be the bigger person. Like they go low, you go high, just choosing. It sounds so cheesy, but choosing kindness just feels better at the end, you know. I agree. I always say karma doesn't have a deadline. So if you don't need to be the one that takes anyone down, it'll just happen. like the way it's supposed to anyways yes so it's yeah it's karma has no deadline is one of my favorite saying i so agree with that and also like when you're angry and vindicted like in that
Starting point is 00:21:46 moment just pissed it sounds like a great idea like i'm gonna post this because it's unfair and yeah that yeah you want to like prove your point and have people know the truth then yeah exactly and then after you're like oh thank god i didn't do that in the heat of the moment i need to get i need to get better at that. I don't do it really on the internet, but like, in my day-to-day, I'm like, I need to just take a knee sometimes and be like, okay, like, let's revisit this when you're not so freaking emotional. So I just want, I don't know, I want to know a little bit more about your life before TikTok. Oh, yeah, a totally different person. So I was always volunteering at the VA. It's so hard to get a job at the VA, which is like a veteran's hospital unless you are a
Starting point is 00:22:26 veteran. So I was just volunteering like crazy. They really wanted them to hire me. I just, I know. I'm just, I'm amazing. And really are. So humble, really amazing, just great all around. And there was this exoskeleton study for people who were paralyzed. And it was literally a body suit, like an Iron Man thing. And it helped them walk. And I was like, this is awesome. Yeah, it's so, it's so cool.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Because when you're like a part of stuff like that, being, you know, in pain during a workout or having a bad day is like put into such perspective. It's so much about perspective. But after that, they hired me for this study, and it was post-combat trauma veterans. It was veterans that just basically couldn't heal from the trauma they had in the military. They just couldn't heal from it. And it was affecting their relationships, their sleep, their health, all these things. So it was a TMS study, which is like this new innovative thing for PTSD patients, and it's transcranial magnetic stimulation.
Starting point is 00:23:27 It's literally a brain machine is what I used to call it. and it repairs broken neural pathways. And your neural pathways break from trauma because it's literally your brain trying to protect you. So you don't have to relive that. So it literally breaks it. So this repairs it.
Starting point is 00:23:43 And this is only like the last resort. This is like medication didn't work. Cognitive behavioral therapy didn't work. So it was a research study, all these different trials. We like track people through a Fitbit, like track their sleep. It was so cool to see their sleep progressively get better. But it's a research study. So it was kind of hard to like have to tell people,
Starting point is 00:23:58 yeah, you're doing, but you knew that they weren't getting the treatment. it was just placebo to see if it's actually effective. There were three groups. One is just cognitive therapy with the placebo. One is just the cognitive therapy with the actual thing. And one is just the actual TMS. So you need like three groups, control groups, to see if it's actually functional. But that's what I did before.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And I loved it. I was also so lucky because I got pregnant when I was at that job. It's government. So my insurance was awesome. I'm like, wow, this is great. Yeah, that's pretty freaking cool. would you ever go back to doing that kind of work i have thought about that i don't know i don't know because i think my gift quote unquote in that environment was making people laugh like i would always
Starting point is 00:24:40 they were so sad and like they were so depressed and i just loved being with them and like lifting them up and like when you like go under that layer they're so nice they were like the nicest people to me and i i feel like i can do that now on a bigger scale but i do want to go back and like see my old boss and my old co-workers and just, they were so great. It was so funny because it literally looks like such a depressing place. It's like the beige walls and the white tile. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 00:25:08 And like the DMV lighting. It's literally the DMV. And I would go in every day like decorate my desk. Like, hey guys. So I loved it. I mean, it is cool because if you think about it, now you are probably helping more people than you even realize just by making them like feel something. And that's like the fact that you have 10 million.
Starting point is 00:25:28 followers on TikTok is such a testament to how relatable and contagious your energy is, which is just, I think that's so cool because you literally have people following you for being you. Starting point is 00:26:48 Do you just have something funny come to your brain and then you start writing it down? Do you get writers blocked? Do you just wing it? Like, what is the process like? I wing it. I get writers full. block, it's all the things. I think I'm very, like, I think in images, so I think my mother is such great content for me, because she's just so expressive. I'm like, your impressions are so good. She's, I've had a lifetime to prepare for this role, so I feel very, and I can do it. And she's just very expressive and she's Latin, so it's a whole different concept. It was just kind of easy with that, but sometimes, you know, there's such creative block. And then there's, like, things going on that you don't
Starting point is 00:27:26 want to post a video and people can think it insinuates or means something else. So it's being very in tune with like outside factors. But yeah, the creative process is 24-7. Like my notes app is just literally random ideas. I don't even know what half of the meme. I'll be like two in the morning. I'll be like, that's a great idea. Oh, that's funny. Yeah, it's just very, very spontaneous, very random. I did a seminar, not a seminar. It was like a talk thing. And they were like talking about some of these creators plan their content for months. Like they plan it a month in advance. And I'm like, I don't even know what I'm going to film today. I don't know, but I'm going to do something.
Starting point is 00:27:59 I'm very like, I got to just kind of, I can't plan it. It's got to be in the moment. That's actually really impressive. And you have to have a pretty like solid level of confidence to just put shit out there because I like I'm a pretty confident person. But I overthink the shit out of what I post on TikTok because I'm like, oh, I'll probably be stupid. And then I'll sometimes post the stupidest thing. We'll get the most like views or comments. And I'm like, oh, what?
Starting point is 00:28:23 It's just so, but you have to have like that. level of confidence to be like, you know what? This is funny. I'm putting it out there. Yes. And like you have to like be okay with some people not thinking it's funny. That's true. I think, you know. That's true. That's a lot of eyeballs on your on your shit there. How old is your daughter? Three. She's three. Oh my gosh. That's such a fun age. I love your relationship with her. It's sweet as hell. And you seem like such a great mom. Does she understand what TikTok is? I don't think she does, but she has a little fake phone. We got from Target. And It's like a princess phone.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Yeah. And she, like, she'll use my tripods and put her fake phone on it. Yeah. And she'll be like cooking or cooking, making her cereal and, like, talking and gibberish to the fake phone. It's so cute. But I'm like, is this good? I'm like, I don't know. Well, hey, if you're doing something that you love and that makes you happy and that it's like, you know, you're a success.
Starting point is 00:29:20 So it's, you're inspiring her in different ways. And it's, I don't know, I love it. I think it's adorable. It was cute, yeah. What is your favorite thing to do with her? I just love snuggling and watching a movie that we both enjoy. There's like, she just snuggles up with you and I love, she's just such a snuggler. I just, I could be so content for hours and I wouldn't move.
Starting point is 00:29:39 And nothing in the world ever makes me feel like that. Like, not even a man. Like, I'm just like, no, when I'm with her, I'm like, oh, I could be here forever. I don't feel like I'm wasting time or losing like things I could be doing. I'm just like a meditative state. I'm just a very present. And it's so nice. That's my favorite.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Okay. well, that made it an easy transition from me. Speaking of men and a man not making you feel like that. Are you dating anyone right now? I am dating. It's fun. Oh, amazing. You posted a TikTok a while ago of a random arm, which I love when you do that.
Starting point is 00:30:11 You just tease everybody by not showing faces like some guy's arm. Oh, that's fun. Just like dating in general or dating one specific person? I am now dating one specific person. Oh, cute. And so how long do you date someone before you introduce them to your audience? Honestly, I don't know when I'm going to introduce. I don't know if I'll ever.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I'll be like, hey, guys, I'm engaged. So this guy you've never met. I swear we've been together for a while. Yeah, I don't know. I just, I'm kind of worried just because obvious reasons, but I have to like sometimes let go of control. So I think whenever I'm very like, if it feels right, it's going to be right. So I think when I feel it'll be right, I'll post something. I'm just waiting for that moment.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah. I think that's good. You just have to listen to what you're feeling and not what the pressure of what everybody else, you know, things that you should be doing. But do you get recognized out in public because so many people follow you, do you get recognized? And then are you worried that people will like out you on the internet? Out me?
Starting point is 00:31:17 Yeah. Like they'll be like, I found the guy. They've done that. They have done that. they showed us before like yeah they do that but i it's fine but yes i when i go out which is rare unless i'm like shopping but that they they do realize and they like they're like oh so you're the guy you're the arm like i saw your arm in the last video that's hilarious that how do you meet do you meet like other ticotker like is he a ticotker or maybe we don't even have to say that like how did you guys meet like he's not like he's not even like he doesn't
Starting point is 00:31:52 no, he doesn't do social media. It's great. I'm like, great. Yeah. That's because I was wondering if you had any like non-negotiables moving forward after, you know, going through a public breakup and going through that kind of relationship and having a daughter. Are you like, I have a non-negotiable list and he cannot be a TikToker. God, maybe it is. And I just didn't know subconsciously that's because even when like TikTokers would be like, hey, like we should like, you know, like hang out or something like, no, that's a horrible idea. you go there you that's a non-negotiable for you yes it is i didn't realize that's funny i actually make like a physical list so you can you can still if you want yeah yeah you also said because
Starting point is 00:32:34 you said you watched bachelor bachelorette okay would you would you ever go on if pre pre pre boyfriend i know you're dating now but would you have ever gone on the show if you were asked there was like some rumor about me like because like people from the bachelor yeah reached out and it was so like it was very post-divorous, it was very fresh, like the whole idea. And I just, I don't know. I don't think I would just because the idea of giving someone else the power on how they could portray me, like, freaked me out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:05 So I think I just want to watch. It's interesting that you would think like that because I didn't. I, like, looking back, I'm glad I was so naive to all of that before because it worked out for me, well, to some extent. But like I didn't think that way at all. And now looking back, if people ask me advice for like if they were to go on the show, that's that's kind of what I would say is you got to have really thick skin and know that they can portray you in any way that they want. Even if you are the most solid human being on the planet, they can make you look like the worst. And that's terrifying, especially because I mean, now you've already built this platform for yourself and you can have creative control over everything you do and say.
Starting point is 00:33:48 and like you can just be you so it would be a little scary to do that but um i ask everyone this question if they are a fan of the show what would your limo entrance be if i'm like hey if you see my videos maybe i just go and dress like my mom like they'd be like this girl's a freak that'd be funny if you did your because then it would be like a setup for you talking about how you do skits and how you have a sense of humor and how this is your this is your bit that you do about your mom that would be funny. I'd probably go in his my mom, little turtleneck action. Yeah. I would do that. So many girls, you know, they're wearing the cocktail dresses and like trying to like look
Starting point is 00:34:28 their best out. You just go in like that that would like speak volumes of your confidence. You're like, yeah, this guy's going to fall in love with me. First impression, Rose, right? I would. That's, that was my thought process going in. I was like, I just got to say like a really dirty joke right off the bat so that I'm like, you did do a dirty joke as your first one. Yeah. And they edited it so that it looked funny because he actually laughed a lot and he was like, that's funny. I was talking to him about fishing. They obviously wouldn't show that. That was boring. And then they showed that when I said my dirty joke. So they edited it to make it look like he didn't actually laugh at my joke. And I was like, that was funny. It's so annoying. I would hate that. Oh, I know. There's so much stuff that they copy and paste whatever. I'd want to tell everyone like, hey, he laughed. And I was there. I know I didn't so when I first came off this it wasn't um Instagram stories weren't a thing yet it was more Snapchat was a big thing I always loved having the Snapchat because I could do the Snapchat one of my 80 um I I loved that I could have my own voice after the show and be like okay so this happened on this episode but here's what really happened I started getting in trouble for that but whatever I also I also make everybody confess to me on the podcast so limo entrance and a confession Well, this is, I feel like you share so much with everybody, but do you have an embarrassing story or a confession you want to share with everyone with the class? Yeah, I do, actually.
Starting point is 00:35:57 I had just broken up with my first boyfriend and we were like, oh, not for so long. And it was my only one I'd ever been with. So I was used to like having sex with people I love because I only had sex with one person and I love them. So then it was like kind of like I started, I was like at this guy's apartment, like we were making out. We didn't have sex, but we were laying on the bed. He was making out with me, and I said, I love you. Like, I didn't even know his last name, but I was like, I told him I loved him because I'm so used to saying that during intercourse.
Starting point is 00:36:29 And he was like, wait, when you see it? I was like, I'm like, no, I don't love you. I don't even like you that much. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to say that. And I remember feeling like just an idiot. I'm like, this guy thinks I'm in love with him after just meeting him at a bar. I'm like, this is so embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:36:45 I love how you backpedal so hard. You're like, actually, I don't even really like you. I actually think you're the worst, and I'm going to leave. I don't even like you at all. I don't want to be here, so I'm going to exit the scene, and then I'm going to TikTok about this later. This is great content. Yeah, this is great content.
Starting point is 00:37:03 That's funny. Did you do a TikTok on that? Because that's funny. No, this was pre-Tik-Tac. So this was like just me. That was a great confession. I also like to play games on this podcast. So we're just going to.
Starting point is 00:37:15 I mean, it's not a real game. It's just like your favorite things. So just so we get to get to know you a little bit better. Who's your favorite actor or actress? Actress would probably be Viola Davis. I think she's phenomenal. And then actor Pedro Pascal is probably my favorite actor. Oh, the guy from The Last of Us. Do you watch that show? Yeah, he is daddy. Zaddy, wherever you want to come. Daddy. I loved him for the beginning. And he's like to gain his fame. yes finally i knew it oh my gosh wait what else is he from steves on spanish stuff so he mostly does like spanish movies or he was like playing whole spanish role but he was always he did this one he's like dressed in some suit it was like was it a james bond one some kind of superhero one
Starting point is 00:38:02 or he has like a country accent he was just hot and i was like yeah i remember the name that's yeah i have like a bit of a crush on him um okay favorite sunday activity i feel like i should say church. Really? No. Favorite Sunday activity? I love going shopping on Sundays.
Starting point is 00:38:26 I love getting makeup on Sunday. I like starting my day off with like a new like, oh, this is a new eye shadow. This is a new top. Yeah. I like, I like like restarts and I love buying planers, especially on Sundays because I'm like, I have like 30 planners because I start for like,
Starting point is 00:38:42 the week. I'm like, that's not working. I need a new one. Yeah, it's the planner's fault, not mine. It's definitely the planner. I just need to find the right one. What's your favorite TikTok trend? Okay. I don't know. It's like a banana. It's from a show. I don't know the show, but a banana's on the laptop. I'm sure you've seen it. A banana's typing. You have my promise. It's so popular. And then some guy, some blue person opens the door, like a blue person. character opens the door and like the banana's like Googling something and like and like looks back and the guy goes and he like closes the door and backs up and it's like my boyfriend after we've gotten in a fight and the banana's Googling like ways to kill somebody
Starting point is 00:39:27 or something like I think humor like that's seen this stop I don't know how to describe it well now that you've said it my phone has listened and I'm probably going to get it as soon as I pull up the app yeah okay what is your favorite at TV show right now. The Last of Us. I'm obsessed. Yeah. Are you caught up? I'm caught up. Are you caught up with yesterday's episode? I didn't get yesterday's. I, you know what I did? This is actually, maybe this is my confession.
Starting point is 00:39:56 It's not that good. But I wanted to do sports betting. That's like so not me, but Jason does it all the time. And so Jason was like, hey, if you get this app, you actually can put like a certain amount of money down that they're doing this deal where if you win you win if you lose you get your money back and he's like it's for first time joiners um and i was like oh i'm doing that and so i did i went all in and i put everything on the eagles winning the super bowl and then what and then what happened okay well katelyn's power went out so i guess we'll never know what happened with her sports. I'm going to close this podcast because I don't know what else to do. She's gone. So thank you so much for joining us. I had the best time. Caitlin's the best. This was such a fun
