Today we have on the podcast Madison from Love is Blind and obviously we got the whole inside scoop on a lot of behind the scene stuff and her side of the story. Okay, well, we're so excited to talk to you. Like I said, Kat is here and we watch. So we were. work out together Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We talk literally every day all day. And so when we said you were coming on, she's like, I have all these questions. And I was like, why don't you just come on the podcast? Her sister said, be right there. Yeah, BRB to the fam, but she's going to have to
Starting point is 00:02:12 scoot out of here soon. Okay. Because motherhood calls, and I must answer. She's, she's a mom up too. So starting out. How's your dog? He's okay. Oh, sweet. What happened? Yeah. Okay. I didn't want to post it online because it's like graphic, but he had like a ruptured anal ground. Oh, honey. Did someone express it and it ruptured? So I didn't know what was happening. He's never had that happen before and he's almost four.
Starting point is 00:02:36 So I was like, it started out as just like a little pink like irritation and I sent it to my vet. I was like, should I come in for this? Like, what is this? And like, yeah, we'll get you in next week. So I didn't think it was a big deal. Yeah. And then the next day I woke up and it was just like huge.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Oh, honey. And then it just like burst. And I was like, okay, so now we have to go to the emergency vet. Oh, poor thing. You know, dropped. I'm embarrassed. Yeah. No, he was.
Starting point is 00:03:01 He was so embarrassed. A little anal glands. I know. No, it's like he has a second butthole now. Yeah. Sorry to be graphic. I'm glad it's like something that isn't like life threatening. No, I mean, yeah, if I would have like waited, it probably would have gotten worse.
Starting point is 00:03:15 But now he's on antibiotics and painkillers. Oh, so I felt. What is your dog's name? Henry. Henry. Henry's a great dog name. Thank you. Okay, well, I'm glad that it's because I saw, we saw your Instagram story.
Starting point is 00:03:26 We're like, oh, no. Yeah. Okay. Well, you didn't want to say it on Instagram, but anal glands. Anna of those. That's what they're bursting. Yeah. Okay. We wanted to know before, how did you get a love of this blind? Did you apply? So a casting director or casting someone reached out to me. And they had originally DM'd me, but I was like, this seems fake. Yeah. And then they kept commenting on my photos. So I was like, okay, like maybe I'll just DM them back. Like, why not? You know what? Hell yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, and then they were like just five-minute phone call.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And then it just kept being like another interview, another interview, another interview. And when was this? Like, when did that start? Yeah, what, yeah. My casting process started October of 2023. Wow. Oh, and we in 2025. So when did it film?
Starting point is 00:04:18 Like, when did you all go to the pods? February of 2024. So literally a year ago. Yeah. And that's usually how it goes, right? usually they film it and then a year later they air it which i'm questioning why because well then you have to spend all this time like underground and there's so much shit that happens in a year between either couples or friends or the girls or the guys or like there's so much so much and i guess
Starting point is 00:04:40 maybe that does make for a juicy reunion but at the same time i'm like i want to know have you guys filmed the reunion yet oh well also how long did you film for because when they actually throw it out there you know as is reality tv it's like hours and hours like 17 hours of freaking day filmed and then they show obviously like what an hour and a half yeah no we filmed for six hours jesus the reunions yes six hours do they address anything and everything kind of oh on my side of things i think a lot of people did have a lot of like time like the married couples or like the engaged couples yeah did have a lot of time to like you know speak back and forth and then my little love square went last and they were like we're saving the best for
Starting point is 00:05:24 last basically and we were just back and forth back and forth like you and all three three of them yeah like they were on the opposite side of me and i was on the like who meg Alex Alex and mason they were all seated on a couch right across for me I was like I didn't think it was going to be that much of a blood bath did they tell you before don't talk to these people before the reunion save it like did you have to sign something so that you're not like plotting what you're going to do at the reunion with these people no you didn't have to sign anything? So you, okay, so at this point, people have seen the reunion. So from the time of filming to now, what was your relationship with Meg and the two guys going into the reunion?
Starting point is 00:06:05 Everything kind of happened pretty quickly outside of the pods, right? So with Alex, everyone saw our breakup. It was really weird. He's a guy's guy and bros before hose. Somebody said. Basically. Without saying it. Without saying it.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yeah. Yeah. We meet up at the airport, which the first message I get on my phone is from Alex. And he's like, no way. Like, yeah, of course he did. Yeah. Okay. So, yeah, he was like, no way.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Like, can we please meet up at the airport? Wait, where were you flying? Like, where were the pods in L.A.? Yeah. So y'all left, went to L.A. Or flying back and you meet up in L.A. Yes. Okay, go on.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Yeah. So I'm surprised no one's asked me for like the screenshot yet. Yeah, I want the screenshot. Show the receipts. Yeah. No, you know what? I have some in your seats. And at the reunion, I just got hard.
Starting point is 00:07:02 At the reunion, I, like, didn't want to ask for permission for anything. So I literally printed off text messages between me and Alex. Yes. And I hid them in my dress. And I pulled the head. Oh, that's such a power move. Yes, we do. Because this man lies all the time.
Starting point is 00:07:20 And I was like, you're not about to lie. Wait, and is Alex currently with Meg? no were they like when as far as i've seen are they no i don't know i don't think so not to my knowledge i thought they showed up to the bar that night together oh yeah here's the screener screenshot here's the receipt it's no way i said l.mio hey are you going to the airport i want to give you a hug ha ha did we not just break up yeah i'm headed there now i'm not leaving l.a without a hug from you that's what he said yes what so then you guys hugged and he was weird so yeah we get to the airport and i just like, first of all, it's so weird because you see this person for the first time and like
Starting point is 00:07:58 you're only used to their voice. Like, it's truly an out of body experience. Yeah, I can't imagine. So weird. And so then I kind of start sensing that like something's off here. Like I already felt like something was off from our breakup. And then I meet him and I'm like, this is not the same person that was in front of these cameras. Yeah, that's when he starts telling me like, you'll never guess who messaged me. Meg, like she's liking all of my photos. blah, blah, blah. And I was like, that's a little weird, but whatever. And then I was like, so what did you really think about Mason?
Starting point is 00:08:32 And he was like, Mason. He was so weird. He didn't have any friends in the pods, blah, blah, blah. And that was the guy that he was bros with. Yes. Comforting after I broke up with him. That is so bad. It's so easy to spot when people are not being themselves because you can't keep up with
Starting point is 00:08:47 your own bullshit. Literally. So in person, he can't be the same because he was so on for cameras. Yes. And being a certain person, then you meet him in real life. Were you like, thank God I didn't continue with this man? Yeah. I mean, like, in the breakup, I obviously was sad.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Was I sad about the breakup or was I sad because I miss my dog? We'll never know. Relatable. Relatable. Yeah, relatable. But then I see him at the airport and I just, like, feel this sense of peace of like, okay, this is done. We're good.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Yeah. Like, I thought we could potentially have like a friendship or something. and maybe he interpreted it different because he did come out in an interview being like, we dated. Sir, we never kissed. Yeah. When did we go on a date? Never.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah. The pod is like, is he considering the pod life dating? Is that what he means? You know what? That means so delusional? I don't know. Well, there's, I don't know if you are allowed or if you addressed it on the thing, but there's like a lot of really shitty allegations out there about him.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Has he commented on that? Because I know I'm like, I don't want to speak for anyone because I know. know firsthand that rumors cannot be true right um so i don't know but so he hasn't said anything and you don't know anything not that i'm aware of not that i'm aware of yeah and yeah i think obviously i have seen everything that's been out there and from my own experience with him it's not like it's shocking and horrifying but it's also like yeah that makes sense really yes so yeah but i think i've chosen to not say anything about it and not be involved in the situation because i don't want ever like invalidate these women's stories by my involvement yeah like you know how the internet is
Starting point is 00:10:26 and like I just think that my involvement could jeopardize like the validity validity of their story yeah and that's fair yeah I just don't want to ever like put my name behind something when it's like I want them to share their stories yeah that's fair that's kind of why I was like I don't even know if I was like do I even bring it up because I just didn't know if anyone had addressed it like on his side no was he at the reunion yeah he was tell us what it was like between you two and then it was rough yeah because he tried to lie and you caught him with your booby papers yes yeah so the receipts that i pulled out so basically he has been on this like me and mason and my girl best friends right when we got back so when he said that
Starting point is 00:11:10 mason was weird all the girls had added me to this group chat that were already outside of the pods and they're like what's the tea like they're so interested in these guys you know and i was like oh he said mason's weird and he said a couple other things about a couple other guys and meg was in that group chat and what i didn't know was that she immediately found mason and they started talking meg because she had left the day before me um so i didn't know that any of that was going down so she saw that i had said that or that Alex had said that and then she goes to Alex and was like why would you say that he's weird and he was like i never said that since she thinks i'm lying and he's just like pitting us against each other like he's texting me being like ew meg's here like
Starting point is 00:11:55 things like that and then he would be like yeah meg's like really scared of you and I'm like I don't why would she be scared of me like we're we're not friends but we're fine right you know yeah so we end up like going out and she was at this bar with like a bunch of other cast members and so I end up going out and seeing them there and her and I talk and she was like yeah basically Alex said that you lied and I was like yeah basically Alex said that you lied and I was like like that's crazy. And the whole time we were talking, he kept trying to like interrupt us. Like he was like, the guilty like, you know? I've got to be in this because I got to hear and I got offend and oh gosh. Yeah. And so finally she tells me, yeah, he said you lied. And I was like, well,
Starting point is 00:12:36 let's set the record straight right now. Yeah. So I pull him over. I said, did you or did you not say that Mason's weird? He's like, oh, I don't, I don't remember. And I'm like, but you were very sure when you're talking to med and now you don't remember. Right. So you're a liar. Yeah. Yeah, it's so facto. Like what, what do I have? Like, what motive do I have to say that about this man? Like, yeah. You don't have a dog in the fight.
Starting point is 00:12:58 You're like back at this point. No, like I didn't want Mason. Like, I ended things with Mason. That was the whole thing. But like, you know, I'm not, I don't care. Yeah, right. And so that was kind of like he was talking a lot of shit about them, but then was like really good friends with them.
Starting point is 00:13:15 So I pulled up these text messages of him doing that to me where he would be like, oh, like, Meg and Mason are dating now with like a little like melty face. And then he was like, they did their own reveal with like skull emojis. And I say, oh, that's so cute. I'm so happy for them. Yeah. But he's the one actually being like, ew, they're doing this. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So at the reunion, you called him out for all this stuff. Absolutely. Did he eat his words? Was he? No, he just continued to lie. I hate when people do that. It's so annoying. Like, you're busted.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Did Mason and Meg feel, like, how did that feel that dynamic? Oh, Meg came for my throat, came from my throat, which, so watching that back, obviously things are very edited, right? But I did feel bad because I was like, I did speak on her behalf, and I didn't mean to do that. Like, Meg was very vocal in the pod. She was very loud. And that's fine.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Like, that's how she chose to handle her relationships. But I thought, like, Mason being her number one was a very powerful. public thing. Right. So I never intended to like speak on her behalf. And, um, you know, before I go into my breakup with Mason, Meg and I actually have a conversation. Yeah. And she is asking, like, is he saying all this to you? Which I had already been like privy to. Like, I figured it out pretty soon because when Mason said I'm committed to you, I knew that him and Meg, like, she would come out of her dates being like I'm getting engaged so I was like right something feels weird here yeah that's what I think when I watch all the girls living in the same are you really living in that
Starting point is 00:14:57 little area together I mean for yeah most of the day yes but we stay in hotels oh right I actually did know that yes yeah they make you like show up at 8 a.m and then you're there until the pod's close yeah do you show up ready or do you get glam like do you do your own yeah we have to do everything on our own. Yeah, we just, they like wake us up at like six, six 30 in the morning. We get ready, go eat some hotel breakfast. And then they like van us there. But it's like, you can't talk about anything. I mean, you find your ways too. But you're on ice technically when you're not on set and you're not miced. Right. So there's like wranglers around that will always be like, don't talk, don't say that. You know, so for the cameras. Yeah. But yeah, Megan, I did have,
Starting point is 00:15:40 I think it was an off camera conversation. If I remember, it was like towards the end of the night. And I don't know if either of us were miced. Yeah, she was like, he's been saying the same things to both of us. And I was like, yeah, I kind of figured that out, which is why I ended things with him because I knew he wasn't being honest. I was like, you're saying the same thing to two different girls. Ding dong. Like to think that that wouldn't get out.
Starting point is 00:16:03 And to think you're on a show where you're being filmed all the time and then the girls can talk after and think you can get away with shit. It always was my mind when people go on TV and things. think they can like hide something or like a good example of that is dave like bless his heart that last bar scene oh he's watching going oh god and i'm like he just doesn't think that that was brutal to watch it was a tough watch oh my god that was a painful watch because i mean overall what is your thought on dave because okay i always have the knowledge of from being on tv of editing and knowing that you guys are filming however many times they're going to have a character who
Starting point is 00:16:44 you know people kept saying that you were doing trauma dumping and it's like you probably had so many other conversations but they're using that as your storyline yes then there's dave who probably has so many other but they're like let's focus on how many times he talks about his sister then there's they have a character that they want you to be for each episode and they had two for me there you go so what do you think of dave as a person you know i haven't spent a lot of time with dave so i can't necessarily say who he is like as a person i think the little time that i have spent with him. It's not been like an impressive time. Yeah. I can imagine. Yeah. Yeah. So I actually, Dave was my first date in the pods. Oh, really? Yes. And I think they actually do show this. But I say,
Starting point is 00:17:27 why love is blind? He's like, oh, I've been an asshole to women in my past. And I just have this rule of thumb. Like, if a man is so willing to tell you that, he's going to do it again. Yeah. They never change. Yeah. He's like setting himself up just so he could be like, if I do, I told you. What he's thinking like going on the show is going to make that. that any different? Like, no, you have a reveal and you're going to be whatever. And he probably knew, like, oh, shit, I actually got on the show. Women are going to come out and talk about this. I might as well get ahead of it. He gives me the vibes of like, I want to quit before I get fired kind of person. Totally. You know? No, totally. Yeah. He's like trying to get ahead of it,
Starting point is 00:18:00 but really he's just like not being himself and just coming across, I guess, as a douche. Yeah, because it's like, there's a difference between like a joke and then actually just negging and being real. And like, his jokes weren't funny. Like, where's the joke? Yeah, you know? I'm waiting on the punchline. Yeah. So, yeah, I just, like, after that, I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:18:22 Absolutely not. I ranked him very low. And then at the reunion, they don't show, or at the meetup, sorry. They don't show this, but that's the first time that, you know, we all met each other. And you see, when I come in, Dave's like, oh, damn. And I, like, you know, go introduce myself to the guys, whatever. And he was like, hey, like, you were actually, like, you know, top of my list. like you were one of my like favorites and I was like oh you know but you and Lauren yeah because
Starting point is 00:18:48 I didn't know they had broken up yeah at the union you didn't know at the meetup at Buck Hill oh yes yeah sorry I forgot they had broken up too yes yes yes yeah so I didn't know any of this and the editors were out for me because they were trying to use that situation as if I was like angry that Megan Mason were upset but it was like I was talking to Lauren about Dave and so that like all the like side eyes and like oh yeah I was giving major sass and And they did it every time, like, Mason and Meg talked about their relationship. I was like, that literally didn't happen. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Like, and you think that the audience at this point, like, watching would know, like, okay, maybe she's doing that, something else. But people, like, still can't figure out reality. I still can't sometimes. I'll watch it. Yeah. Why are they doing that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:31 And then I hear that and I go, of course. I was on the opposite side of the room. Like, I couldn't hear what they were saying. Editors are brilliant. No, they really are. Yeah. Like, even just conversations that I had, they would cut specific. specific pieces out of, you know, what I said to make it seem, you know, a little bit more
Starting point is 00:19:47 catty than it really was. Right. Or I was like, okay, guys. So is there like shit going on on the internet that people say and assume because of the editing that you would want to clear up? I mean, you know what? I don't really like, if people want to misunderstand me based on a reality TV show, let's all that.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Like Mel Robbins would say, what's that got to do with me? Oh, yeah. Okay, good. Yeah. I love that response. I have that brain. Well, I'm looking at her skin going, how old are you? Yeah. Oh, I'm 28. Oh, baby. Okay. Okay. Okay. You're a baby. I did not have that head on my shoulders at 28. No. Like, God bless America that I went on TV at 30 because I still like, at 30, I was still a fragile a little.
Starting point is 00:20:28 It's tough. Yeah. I mean, yeah, at first I was like, whoa, I didn't expect this. Really? But despite what people want to say, I am in therapy. Good. Honestly, good. Yeah. Like. Well, you've been through quite a bit in your life. Yes. When did you start therapy? I love talking. about therapy on my podcast. You know, I've been like on and off with it throughout my life. And then I found like a really good therapist last year. Nice. And so yeah, her and I have just been rocking ever since. Oh, good. What was your mental state between filming and when it aired? Like were you able to kind of forget what it happened or was it a tough time? It was hard because you forget kind of like
Starting point is 00:21:06 the specific conversations that happen and you know that you can be edited in a certain way. Yeah. And like, you know what? Yeah, I was messy. I get that. But that wasn't memorable to me. Exactly. And that wasn't like you were, no. I didn't, I wouldn't even consider it messy.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Like that was not a takeaway for me. Very honest. And like, did, were you able? Did they show on the show what you've actually been? I don't remember. Did they like say what you've actually been through in life? Or did they just dance around it to make? I mean, they showed a lot more than I was prepared for.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Oh, really? Yeah. Because, I mean, I kind of went into those pods and I was like, I'm going to. act as if like there aren't cameras here yeah um because i really was serious about finding someone yeah and when you have gone through so much in your life like those are things that you have to talk about that's huge i mean that shape you know are yeah and it's like everything about who you are imagine if i got engaged to someone and then just was like surprise by the way yeah yeah like drug addict
Starting point is 00:22:03 family yeah dead brother like no you don't do that right so and and and at the same time like Alex was very intentional with his questions. And I think that was for a reason. But I think he was looking like watching it back, I was like, man, that man was not into me. Really? Because it's just every single time I like opened up to him. Because, you know, he started being like, you're an avoidant. That scares me.
Starting point is 00:22:30 So I was like, okay, like now like I'm going to let you know that that's who I was. That's not who I am. Right. And here's why. Yeah. And so I continue to show up and I continue to be very. vulnerable. And every single time he was like trying to find fault in something. Yeah. And I was like, okay, the whole time was he just trying to exit? Like was he trying to leave? Yeah. Or was he trying to find
Starting point is 00:22:49 an out? Yeah. And I mean, knowing things about him now, I'm like, oh, he probably was drawn to me because he thought I would be a little bit more submissive and, you know. Right. But I'm not. But I'm not. And when he, yeah, when he figured that out, he left. Yeah. Ew. Yeah, it's terrible. He, there's something. I mean, I think maybe you can just sometimes see through people who aren't being very genuine. Like, I didn't really ever. At first, I was like, those guy's adorable. And then as stuff went on, I was like, is he? Or is he like trying to be adorable? And I just always wonder, like I said earlier, when people do this, don't you know there's the internet? Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Like, shit will get back to you. Yeah. But it's like that shows you how big, like his ego is and how much he just didn't think that anyone would ever speak about him in that way. There's a lot of shit coming out on guys in that show. I know, it's crazy. Yeah. And like my question is, so Minneapolis, right? Like, did none of you have crossover friends? Like, were you like, ooh, I've heard of them?
Starting point is 00:23:49 So actually, I knew one of the girls. What? Did you just show up and you're like, oh, hey. Yes. You didn't know. Yeah, she didn't get a lot of screen time. Okay. She was there for like a day and then she left.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Oh. She was like. Willingly? Like, she just didn't know. Yeah, I mean, good for her because, you know, she was so unimpressed. Oh, good for her. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Oh, that's awesome. Bless. No, but it's, yeah, it's so funny because I actually, um, I show up at the airport and we're all kind of like meeting each other for the first time. Oh, at the airport. Yeah. I was like, I matched with that girl on Hinge like a year ago. Stop.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Yeah. You tell her? Like, were you like, hey, it's me? At first I was just like, kind of like nervous. Like the gay panic set in and I was like, oh my God, like, do I see something? Like, do we not? Yeah. And then, yeah, I just ended up saying something.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Because I also didn't know, like, how comfortable she was. Right. And so I didn't want to say anything on camera either. Yeah, that's fair. So I just, like, said something, I think, the next day at breakfast. And I was like, hey, we match on Hinge, right? She was like, oh, my God, yeah. Like, that's where I know you from.
Starting point is 00:24:52 No way. Are you open about that? Like, is that something you're comfortable talking about? Yeah. Okay. So you are, are you openly bisexual? Yes. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Yeah. Amazing. Yeah. And they didn't show that on the, in the pots? I'm kind of surprised. Did you talk about it in the pot? I did. you did oh i don't like that they didn't support them i feel like it's one of those things they like
Starting point is 00:25:09 because it's a dating show of like you know just right i guess it's like man to woman they're like well that just messes with the narrative yeah but that is like kind of that is important yeah yeah yeah i love that yes yes yeah no so um i don't know if i said this yet but her name's cassandra okay and she's one of my besties now really yes yeah wait i was gonna ask him you talk to her since Yes. Well, yeah, no, so it was so funny because I remember being like, hey, like, if this doesn't work out. Yeah. Want to grab drink.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Wait, besties or like? No, we're just besties. Because she kind of had like a thing, like, you know, she was on and off with this one guy. And so I think when she got to the pod, she was like, oh, like I miss him. Oh, okay. Yeah. So coming back, we just, we're always besties. What do you think about dating before pods?
Starting point is 00:26:00 Because Dave obviously thinks it's a very big deal to date someone. before. And I'm like, I need to be the Virgin Mary to go on the show. I literally went on like a date with the same guy like five times. He met my niece and nephew. And then I went on the show because I was like, well, clearly you're not my person. If I want to go be the bachelor or go on the bachelor and like find love. Yes. And so I was like, well, clearly you're not my person. And I just am like, who cares? If you were dating, because you're like, you're probably like, oh, I'm like seeing this person. I'm going on the show. Like, bye. If that person was your person, you'd stay. Exactly. Yeah. And so we don't get noticed.
Starting point is 00:26:34 until max like a week and a half before oh that's huge yeah so i think that's really important information because you don't know that you're going on the show until very last minute oh wow so it's like you're still wanting to date even if she had slept with someone two days before yeah i mean two days you know she was like it was a week maybe she found before you find the one yeah like you're about to be just cooped up in like he's trying to slut shame her to get out of it and i'm like that's not right it's not right it i hate the way he's treating the situation and I'm like, is that real? Like, is Lauren like, yeah, that's how he is? I mean, I think at the reunion, he did kind of, you know, apologize. And it was, it was a less
Starting point is 00:27:15 drunk version of his conversation at the meetup. So he still wants her? Whoa. Yeah. What? Yeah. I'm so confused. I thought for sure he just didn't want it so he was backing out in every way. That's what everyone thought. Like that is how he read. I think he's confused too. Yeah. God. And she seems just like salt of the earth. Just like, Yes, she does. Isn't she a teacher? I don't know. She sounds like educational.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Well, whatever. Still wholesome. Anyone that works with, she is wholesome. Like teenagers or children and the hero in my books. But, oh, that's so crazy. And wait, I can only ask this because it's out. Does she want to be with him? No, she was like, I don't believe you.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Oh, good. Okay, thank God. Which, I mean, what happens afterwards if we don't know? Right. Does it, like, is there a click that you guys kind of stay tight with from the show? Or are you kind of just like, I'm out? Like, do you still have friends from it? Yeah, some of my best friends.
Starting point is 00:28:08 So Molly, she's a right or die. She really is a girl's girl. And then Cassandra, Vanessa, and BDOT. Wait, Molly's the redhead? Oh, yeah, she does seem like a girl's girl. Yeah, like her conversation with Lauren was really like great. That's very her. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Oh, I love that she is. Like, she will just, yeah. I love that too because I was watching when you guys did the meetup, who is she talking to? Was it Dave that she was like, no. Like she's not having his bullshit. No, she also went off on Alex that night, but they didn't show that. I hate, we need, like, a whole, like, unseen footage.
Starting point is 00:28:46 I would like to do a podcast where it's all unseen footage from Loves Blind and I get to, like, have the unseen footage and talk. They would never do that. I was not saying, you can keep on dreaming of sweetheart. I'm like, I'll just ask someone at Netflix. Hey, Netflix. Good laugh. I'll just tag them in an Instagram story and see what happens. If I put my feet down, are they going to be out?
Starting point is 00:29:04 I've had enough feet out. I was going to say, what was with the foot showing of the season? I don't know. You're probably like scared to show me your feet now. I am. I'm like, please. Okay, you're good. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Why did they show so much feet? I was like. You're like that cost, like I could charge for that. Okay. No. So not only that, but I realized that there was like a point where they like I was taking my jacket off and they like zoom in on my tits. I actually.
Starting point is 00:29:32 remember that. I was like, wait, where's the camera? Like, is it like this or is it hidden in the wall? There's different kinds of pods. Is anyone in there with you? Is it truly just you? Yes. Yes. So there's five pods that have like actual. So you know those like little orb things that kept getting in the way? Yes. Yes. So there's like there's a camera here and there's a camera behind you that's like a robocam. But then there's a man that just like slides back and forth. What? And just like a man in the room with you and just sliding the camera back and forth. No. Yeah. That really, why would they do that? I don't, I mean, I don't know. Like, you normally will forget that they're there, but then sometimes, like, you hear them talking on the radio or like, because I got, I was so used to the cameras
Starting point is 00:30:15 because they were everywhere, always camera crews. Right. Like, say that I was on a date with you on the Bachelor, there's like 30 cameras and crew and people on walkies like the whole time. So you're like, you just start tuning it out. Yes. But is that a new thing on Love is Blind? Because, it was COVID before, so I don't think they had people in there before. I don't know, actually. I mean, it's behind like a plexiglass. Oh, really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:39 So it's, I think there's like one little hole that they like kind of poke the camera out, but then when it gets with the little orbs. I hated the, um, camera work because like, I think it was Lauren talking about how insecure she was about her body or something. And they like pan in on her stomach and then up and then the other guy was talking about him being like short and they pan from the top down with like a lot of room at the top messy messy
Starting point is 00:31:03 I'm like this is diabolical behavior from the camera crew no literally but you know that there's like a control room where there's just a bunch of cameras and producers talking to the camera guy being like yeah zoom in on that yeah do this now and go up like go in on the feet yeah go in on the feet
Starting point is 00:31:20 from my little experience on very cavaliery back in who knows when it was just like people were running around but I'm like I just get so interested because you like know they're watching you but like I feel like the way Love is Blind should do it is like embedded cameras like at all at different
Starting point is 00:31:36 angles because these conversations are so intimate. Intimate like you I mean Plexiglass man running. Yeah like they would just get better conversations I think so it's not in all pods so we called them the slider pods and how do you do they like get the couples that are like going the furthest in those pods? I think so like I think I had a slider pod most of the time I think maybe I
Starting point is 00:32:00 I had a regular pod where it was only robocams a couple of times. So you were, you were probably like, oh, I'm on the show. Well, I didn't know. Like, you're not like, you don't know. Yeah. And also, like, I didn't get engaged. So, you know, I come back. I dye my hair pink and I'm just like, that's it for me.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You know, like, I'll get to post a little picture and then move on with my life. Oh. Wait, when do you go to the bathroom? Yeah. Do you have to leave a date and be like, I do you? Yes. Yeah. What if you had diarrhea and you were like,
Starting point is 00:32:30 I need to leave every 10 minutes. As an IBS girly, I'm thankful. Oh, yes. That hot girls always have OBS. Literally. Thankfully, that didn't happen to me. But yeah, no, you do like just have to leave. And then you hope that they turn your mic off.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Oh, trust me, they want to. I have worked as a host and have earpieces and ear stuff. And they do turn them off because they don't hear that either. Yeah, good. You all know I'm all about that beauty that's effortless and fun, which is why I'm obsessed with the new lash blast super cloud mascara from cover girl. This mascara super boosts your lashes with weightless length, light as air lift. Seriously, it feels like nothing is on there, but the results are everything.

Starting point is 00:34:23 casualty insurance company and affiliates. Potential savings will vary, not available in all states. Mason recently said that he wishes he saw red flags with you sooner. No. So it's actually really funny because I saw Mason like a couple months ago at a bar. And I was hanging out with some of the girls. I was with like Sarah and Molly. And Sarah was like, oh, some of the guys are going to Ava. I was like, oh, like, who's all there?
Starting point is 00:34:53 Because I don't like to hang out with the guys a lot. Like they just, it's just not, I don't know. It's not a vibe. It's not a vibe. Yeah. I can see that. Like, I want my girls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:03 But I heard that Mason was there. And when we got back, Mason and Meg started dating immediately. Yeah. And so I just didn't want to step on any toes. Like, I didn't want to, like, feel like I was intruding. And, you know, at the end of the day, like, the disrespect is closure enough. Right. But I did really, like, think the world of Mason.
Starting point is 00:35:23 I did. And I thought he just was, like, a little messy at the end. Right. You know? So I end up going and I meet him there and I'm just like, hey, like, I just wanted to clear the air with you. You know, the show's about to come out and whatever. And he was like, yeah, like Mads, I totally take responsibility for everything. Like, no worries.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Like, you're amazing, whatever. And then we talked for a long time, just like catching up on life. And it was just like old friends, you know? But I had told him, I was like, yeah, I knew you were going to be here and I wanted to come talk to you. So that was like where we left things off. coming into the reunion, I thought I was on good terms with Mason, was not. I thought I was on good terms with Meg because I had apologized to her. I texted her and I was like, hey, like, that was brutal and I'm really sorry.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Like, you deserved better. Oh, that's nice of you. Yeah, so Mason comes in just, he was like, you manipulated me, you told me that you had feelings for me at the bar. I was like, sorry, huh? Yeah, come again? What? Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:25 So what is he delusional? I don't know. I don't know what his issue is. Interesting. But it's just like the red flags. What are my red flags? His red flags are that he's a liar. Yeah, that's a big one.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Yeah, I would say. That's a big red one. I would say. Yeah. The whole time he was like, yeah, like I didn't know this. But watching it back, I was very clearly his number one. Right. But when we came out of the pods, he was like, no, Meg was always my number one.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Yeah, of course. And then, you know, his switch up. So it's like, okay, he switched up on me at the reunion. Of course he did. Because he switched up on me in the pods too. So I really, history repeats itself. Do you think Meg sees it or looks back on it and is like, um, or is she, they're like happy and together? They're not together.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Oh, they're not together. No, I think. So they dated for a little bit, broke up, dated for a little bit, broke up. Got it. And then, yeah, at the reunion, they said they're not dating right now, but they want to eventually. And third time's a charm. Third time is a second mistake. You know what, but I wish them well.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Yeah, we wish them well. I've said a couple things like calling people delusional, whatever. And I do try and stay positive, but it's hard to with some of these men. But Nick Vyle recently said that you trigger him. What are your thoughts on that? I love that. Like sometimes when men are triggered by me, I'm like, I'm glad I trigger you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Because that means there's something in your soul that needs to be healed. yeah like that says so much more about him than it does about me right like first of all he knows how edited reality tv is so that's why i wanted to even ask because before i come out here and be like david's such a loser blah blah blah i want to be like is editing like was it because i have questions right you know but did he did you hear the context of it or anything or was it a headline that he just said that you were a you triggered him well he had Alex on his podcast okay and i had only seen like a small clip like genuinely i don't like search these things out and normally if i see like my face or alex's face i just scroll past because like it's just none of my business what people
Starting point is 00:38:33 think about me i love that that's a really good attitude to have right now thank you because this will also pass very quickly too you like you know headlines it'll be the same headline different person yes exactly yeah like before the year ends like someone's going to take my villain spot yeah yeah are you consider the villain some would say really yeah yeah yeah I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't either. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:56 I don't get villain vibes from you at all and I didn't even watching the show. I think a lot of people are projecting. Yeah. And actually, so your season of Bachelorette was the last one that I watched. Really? Yes. I think I was in college. I was going to say, you must have been young.
Starting point is 00:39:12 I was in college. And that was like the last season I had ever watched. And yeah, but I always admired like how strong you were and how open you were. And like, you were just not afraid to be yourself. and I think people who don't understand that are afraid of that and are intimidated by that. Look, I'll say this a million times. Like, I look at certain situations with certain people. Paige DeSorbo, she is such an outspoken queen.
Starting point is 00:39:37 She has jokes for days. She's like a straight up gorgeous comedian, funny, relatable girl who's an absolute angel. But people are so intimidated by her that they choose to. have shit to say about her. Yeah. And so when her and Craig break up, it's like, of course it must be Paige's fault because she's the outspoken, loud one who, you know, doesn't take shit. And so people are like so easy to hate her. Matt James and Rachel Kirkconnell break up. And I was like, oh no, like protect Rachel at all costs because she's so sweet. Everyone took her side because she, you know, is this sweet angel who doesn't really speak up much. And like, that's, her demeanor is very
Starting point is 00:40:21 soft and sweet and everyone was like rallying for her which i was happy for because she is an angel yeah but it's like the the women who you know who are more like outside of the box edgies say shit that they want and like don't care what people think tend to be easily hated by people who are projecting yes so yeah and that's not something new in my life right you know yeah like you're like oh here we go again yeah it's just on a larger scale and i mean the internet's gonna hate me saying that But like, because it's like, people are like, you're so full of yourself. You're so conceited. And it's like, what?
Starting point is 00:40:57 I'm just very confident. And I think everyone should love themselves. Like, if you're about to go get married, you need to know how to love yourself first. Yeah. And you've probably been through enough stuff in your life to like have to learn to love yourself because you're like, wait, I am my support system. Yes. I am my caretiver.
Starting point is 00:41:16 I am my caretaker. I am like, you have to protect yourself. Yeah. So you can see when people are cocky, and you can see when people are confident. So it's, it just blows my mind. Is it mostly women or men or both that are giving you hard time? You know what? I love when men leave hate comments because it's so funny.
Starting point is 00:41:34 It's like, you wish you could have this. Yeah. You would hit this in two seconds. Yeah. You'd fold. Yeah. Immediately. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Do you guys have like a, I know you have your own counselor, but do you guys have a show counselor that helps with anything? Yes. that's good so i didn't really know that at the time though oh they didn't like make it obvious that you could like speak to somebody yeah they have a psychiatrist yeah because you probably had to do like serious back like do they do like um what is what is that called a back psychological evaluations yeah psychological evaluations background checks yeah yeah not me not being all the thing of the word background check i'm like what is that crazy you know it's hard sometimes yeah more so they have all
Starting point is 00:42:18 that but you didn't really know that you could like speak to this person like are is it available to you now um yeah they do provide like a decent amount of support afterwards so they provide you with eight counseling sessions paid for okay kinetic and you get to choose your own um counselor and therapist oh yeah okay what do you think people would be surprised about the most to know about like behind the scenes of the show oh my gosh well that i think you already kind of said a couple like the plexiglass man Like that's so weird. Yeah, I'm like, I don't know because it's so normal to me now. So it's like, what are people actually wondering?
Starting point is 00:42:54 I don't know. When I put up the question box, because I wanted it to like maybe be a bit of a surprise, but like not really that you were coming on. Every question was just like, is Dave in love with his sister or what? And I'm like, oh, God. I'm like, it was like every question. And I'm like, giving incest. The whole time I was like, okay, is, did this woman like birth him?
Starting point is 00:43:13 Does she suck on his teeth? Her teeth? I'm kidding no I think it's like very obvious that they have some sort of like very specific bond yeah but I will say to me it came off as his scapegoat okay let me ask you something how often do you take time for you know like to grow reflect maybe even laugh and giggle a little well I've got your new go-to and it's self-conscious with Chrissy Teigen on audible you know Chrissy she's hilarious she's unfilful and just like us, figuring it all out as she goes. Oh, that's great.
Starting point is 00:46:17 People did want to know about your corporate career and social media and how the transition is to being an influencer is going. Yeah. I mean, that's so funny that people like do these deep dives. Oh, yeah, they know. Yeah, because I haven't updated my LinkedIn page for like two and a half years. Really? I swear.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Like, people are like, she still works in corporates. Like, or I don't even, yeah, haven't touched the LinkedIn. I haven't either. Yeah, like when you work in corporate, it's a big deal to keep it up. up to date. Right. Um, but yeah, I just kind of found myself in social media management, worked for, you know, a bunch of big companies. And then, um, I got like my dream job. And I got laid off. Oh, no. Like I think I was there for like two months. And then the whole marketing department got laid off. Really? Yeah, it was insane. So I had been doing art at that point.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Yeah. And so I kind of like just launched into it. Like I had a little bit of like a savings account. I had some buffer, you know, whatever. But yeah, obviously social media has always come natural to me. I'm like on the cusp of like millennial juncie. Yes. So you do give that. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Which I love. So yeah, it's like keeping up on the trends or things like that. So it has been natural. But my social media following blew up immediately. And I got signed to an agency. Oh. Within like less than a week. Wait, a beat on the show?
Starting point is 00:47:47 Really? Mm-hmm. So, yeah. So a lot of the things that I'm posting right now is just stuff that like my agency is like, oh, you should post this or you should post that and we can. Help? Yeah. Great.
Starting point is 00:48:00 It's that time of the pod where you have to do a confession. So my freshman year of college. Yes. Mind you, I went to like a Christian college. Oh, okay. I was like, actually, this is something I'd like to clarify. Okay. look straight down the barrel and tell them i used to be a christian i grew up a christian i am no longer
Starting point is 00:48:19 a christian love christians i just no longer identify as one fair okay okay okay okay do people try and hold it against you yes they're like oh she like talked about being a christian but then with one guy like she seemed like a goody two shoes with this one guy but then she would go talk about cream pies it's like first of all that was a joke and it was funny oh people don't get jokes on the internet Jokes do not land with the people on the internet. I've learned this the hard way. No, that was funny to me. Yeah, that is funny.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Yeah. So, anyway, so I'm a freshman in college, and I'm going on a road trip with my friends to Florida. Yeah. We got to Florida, and the first day, we're like on this boardwalk, right? And we get ice cream, and we walk around for like two hours, we take some cute little photos, and then we get in the car. And in the car, I was like, man, like my armpit just kind of hurts.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Usually I see where people's stories are going and I don't know where this one's going. Okay. No, this one comes full circle. Okay. So I look at my armpit and I'm like, what is that? I pull a receipt out of my armpit from the ice cream shop that we had visited two hours before that. Just an ice cream receipt stuck to your sweaty pit? yep and we had taken photos no wait this is more cute than embarrassing that's like a cute story that's
Starting point is 00:49:46 funny no because you have to see the photo so okay okay the glow up the glow up goes hard oh so i had no clue that the receipt was in my armpit stop so this is full circle because at the reunion right you pulled receipts out of my armpit And I said, I was like, you know what? I have more where that came from, but I couldn't fit more in my armpit. Wait, that's awesome because you probably can't wait until that air so that you could like do a full circle moment on social media. I'm like, how do I do this? That is amazing.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Oh my gosh, cute. I love it. You're like, this is so cute. No, I was so sweaty. And you know how it happened is I had this wallet and I think I had the receipt and I just like tucked it into my armpit and I was holding it like that. Yeah. I took my wallet away and then just got stuck. Oh, that's so cute.
Starting point is 00:50:42 That photo is so cute. I really love her too. That's really cute. Oh, that's nice. But thank you so much for coming on. Yes, thanks for having me. I'm excited for whatever's coming up for you and I'll root for you and cheer you on the whole way. Thank you.
