Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story.
Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge,
there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice.
And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am.
It's not just any audiobook.
This is a full cast performance.
So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry,
brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy.
And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything.
Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix.
Talk about a dream cast.
Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics,
and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy.
And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels
so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again.
So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen.
So everybody always asks what kind of wine I'm drinking during the podcast.
I don't really have a specific kind.
I'm kind of all over the map, which is nice because Bright Sellers gives you four personal wine bottles sent to your door each month.
You only have to take a fun seven question quiz, which will build your personal flavor profile.
file to find your perfect wine. And if you don't like a certain bottle, your wine concierge
will actually help you find a replacement. Wines from around the world like Italy, Spain, Portugal,
South America, you can discover new wines that are delivered directly to your door. So if you
would like 50% off your first box, all you have to do is go to brightsellers.com slash off the vine.
Right now I'm drinking a pino grigio that is right up my alley. I know coming up we've got Monica,
So I need a pino grigio to relax me because I get nervous for this kind of stuff.
And I think, Sean, I know you're not a big wine guy, but I'm pretty nervous, too.
I might need two.
Okay, we'll pour Sean two glasses of pino grigio from Bright Cellars.
So for 50% off your first box, go to brightsellers.com slash off the vine.
You're welcome.
The following program is a podcast.1.com presentation.
Okay.
Are you ready to shake things up?
Yes, I am.
Well, Caitlin Bristow is creating a space where girls and jazz.
can feel empowered to be themselves because there's more to like than Instagram, right?
What's that supposed to mean?
Welcome to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow.
Now here's Caitlin.
Welcome to Off the Vine.
I am your host, Caitlin Bristow, Rosey in hand.
I've also got my fiancé Sean B here with me.
And if you can hear Tucker, he's panting away over there too.
I don't know if that comes through.
We've got the whole family here today.
We got the whole fam jam in the room.
We brought Sean B in because we have something.
we disagree on. And Sean B is just a little bit skeptical, and I think he just doesn't have
much knowledge on the situation, so I think that's why. So I have the perfect guest here to solve
the problem. We've got Monica Tenkate, Monica, the Medium. Hello? In studio with Rose
as well, making me not drink alone, because Sean B won't drink with me. Cheers. So, okay,
Oh, Tucker, you're going to have to stop breathing that heavy, dude. That's amazing.
He just burped.
Oh, my gosh.
I hope you could hear that.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, that's amazing.
Nice.
Tucker, way to introduce yourself.
That was rude.
Okay, so thank you for being here.
Thank you for having me.
I'm excited to be here.
I live for the stuff.
Sean questions this stuff.
So tell us about your life as a medium, like when you discovered that you had this, when you accepted it, and the gift that you have.
Absolutely.
So for me.
I was always intuitive and empathic growing up, but it really wasn't until high school that I started to really feel, hear, sense, and know that there were dead people around me.
It kind of all started with a new classmate.
Every time I'd be around her, I'd get up, I get all choked up and emotional, and I'd start to have all these feelings.
Not going to lie.
At first, I thought I was gay.
I was like, okay, I have feelings for this girl.
Maybe that's what's going on.
Oh, my gosh.
But fast forward.
And every time she would tell stories about her mom who had died when she was in third grade, I would hear or see that.
ending of the story before she'd finished telling it. And I was like, hmm, well, that's strange.
Maybe it's just like a coincidence, a lucky guess. But it started happening with like other friends,
classmates, teachers, and then eventually strangers. And I mean, picture this, Googling. What does it
mean to hear voices in your head? Like, right. The shit that comes up. I mean, the stuff that comes up,
you're just like, oh my God. But eventually I realize, okay, this may be spirit that's coming through.
And then I realized, okay, this is a gift that I feel like is from God.
And it's a beautiful thing.
And so as soon as I kind of came out of the medium closet, things became very strong ever since.
And I went to school at Penn State, would do spontaneous readings while I'd be like in our little hub, which is kind of the central part of campus.
And I'd be typing my paper.
And whoever sat down next to me at a 40,000 students, it just would seem like it'd be the person who just lost their best friend or their mom just died.
and word of mouth just spread and pretty soon I had a year waiting list and then I had a TV show just fall into my lap I wasn't even looking or trying to be on TV and yeah the rest is kind of history oh oh I love this stuff okay so I feel like I can feel spirits around me and yes you can and I can feel it but I don't know like what level I'm at because I don't hear anything and that kind of thing but I already have to cut sorry it's just funny because before while I was on my way here I already heard you need
to validate for Caitlin that she is gifted and that she's not crazy and what she has felt.
It doesn't mean you're going to talk to dead people full on, you know, it doesn't have to be
like that, but you are intuitive.
You pick up on people's feelings.
You're very empathic, so you feel people's emotions as if they're your own.
And yeah, you do get very strong gut feelings and you sense things.
And yes, absolutely.
That's my best friend, Brie, who I've had on the podcast before, she tells me that all the time.
You always need to talk to mediums about how you feel these things because I could tell
Sean, what do you tell me?
You're crazy.
Yes, pretty much.
Yeah, don't ever tell a girl she's crazy.
I learned that.
I do not use the C word anymore.
That is the C word.
That's amazing.
Yeah, so we went to a medium in Nashville.
She was awesome, and she really nailed things with me, like, a few times where I was like,
no one on the Internet would know that, like, certain things like that.
But Sean always questions it.
But I just, I think you just question.
question the unknown, or maybe you just don't, I don't know, what is it? You just don't,
you believe in something. I do. I believe in something. It's hard for me to, I guess,
grasp the idea of being able to sit in a room and to feel these spirits and to.
Because you don't believe in spirits. That's not that I don't believe. I guess I've never had
the experience before. I'm like, holy cow, that was crazy. And then we did it together once
in Nashville, but I was skeptical of that. Because Caitlin is.
is a public figure, and I feel like a lot of the stuff that she was kind of getting at, you
could easily just go through your social media.
But also no.
Right.
She did say some things.
Yeah.
What?
Here's the thing.
I actually, one of my pet peeves is actually being in a position where I have done readings
for public figures, celebrities, because of that exact reason, even if I go in knowing
nothing, if there's like even one or two things that could have been known, it's like, then
they're going to start questioning or doubt it.
Like, that's why I love doing it for the everyday people.
Like, that's what my, like, you guys probably haven't seen my show that was on freeform.
But if you had watched it, it's like the people off the street, like everyday people, that's
what I love because, you know, there's nothing about them.
They didn't write a memoir.
Like, you know, it's just, yeah.
And I want to believe.
Yeah.
I am, uh, you're open.
I am open.
But you haven't had the person to kind of seal the deal.
But I've seen it with her and she's called me and she's had.
friends or relatives recently who did this and like it brought her to tears and it's like oh my gosh
that's crazy i know i'm like is this going to be my first podcast that i cry because i get really
emotional on this stuff and i'm drinking wine so like oh lord but then it's like you're skeptical
but then you work out every day and don't drink wine so like we're skeptical of you too yeah i guess
it goes both ways amazing i don't understand that yeah so you had a show on abc freeform yeah
abc family now free form horrible new name sorry
crazy and so you got to just go and meet like would you know them beforehand to meet up with them before or you just went and did your thing a lot of the readings were actually while I was out and about just living my regular everyday life like I'd be at the hair salon or I'd be with my friends out at the bar and I would sense spirit for somebody and I would just walk over and go there they'd also follow me with my scheduled readings where I had people come to my home office at the time and
and so forth but most of it was actually the out and about just spontaneous stuff so
and I always I feel like I have so many questions for you know but you can ask all the questions
I'm going through my notes being like uh-huh uh-huh I want to know this and people as long as I can
drink more wine of course I always say like two glasses that actually makes it like a little bit
stronger really past that then I'm like no spirit back up well let she's like let me talk you
up if that's gonna if that's gonna help the chances of getting the connection today
so if you're like sleeping in the middle of night do you wake up and you feel
something like oh my gosh um no i actually when i first started coming into my own gifts i remember
because people always ask are you were you afraid is it scary when i first realized i had this
ability that was the only time i was ever kind of freaked out i remember going to sleep being like
i don't want to wake up and see something at the foot of my bed or like on the ceiling like please
don't come to me that way because that'll scare the living daylight yeah right yeah so they kind
of respect that like spirit kind of just understands that that's not the way that i want to connect
I want to connect through my thoughts voice or through my mind's eye, through the feelings, my signs and symbols.
I call that my spirit dictionary.
And I just like to connect to them in the way that I'm comfortable.
So I don't see them outside of myself, thank God.
Okay.
So you don't see images?
No, I would freak.
Actually, it's happened twice.
It happened two times where I saw a spirit outside of myself.
Both times it was a Hispanic spirit.
So I think, like, maybe they're very strong energy.
I don't know.
Really?
They're like, just please talk to you.
I don't even know.
But that was the two times it's happened where I saw them outside of myself.
and it scared me absolutely and yeah but other than that only in my mind's eye okay because my girlfriend
brie she was one time i was i was in this condo with my mom after my parents divorced and that's
where i felt things the strongest and i anytime i laid on this couch i could like feel somebody
like standing beside me and i would get so scared to open my eyes because i thought i would see them
and so Bree said you have to say no out loud like tell them no you don't and so I was like
like one time it was so crazy like the Tucker it's amazing sorry this is like when Jillian's dog
was going nuts the blinds started going curtains whatever and I just said no please please stop
and it did and I was like oh my gosh they can hear me yeah absolutely but it's funny that you brought
up the whole saying no, because that's exactly what I tell people who do sense things or
they get that feeling of somebody in the room. If it scares you or you don't want to sense
that, you have the ability to say, no, you are not welcome here. Even if it's a friendly spirit
or if it's a ghosty ghost, earthbound thing, I just say, look, you can say you're not welcome.
I am not comfortable with this and go away. You really can. And I lived in Newfoundland,
Canada for a little while. And I was in a very old house. So, I was in a very old house. So,
old, and I'd read so many stories online about, like, how old these houses were and stuff like
that. And I don't, do you ever, like, communicate with, like, are there pets? Because I was laying
in bed and every night, every single night, or if I had a nap, right before I fell into, like, a deep
sleep, I would feel like pouncing on my bed, like a dog plane on my bed. And I would just lay there
and totally accept it. I'd be like, there's a dog spirit on my bed. Absolutely. I do connect to
animals quite often and
dogs, cats, they'll come through just
as strong as people who have died
and it's pretty cool. Actually, I'll
never forget one of the strongest readings
I've ever done was a woman who lost her cat.
His nickname was Mr. W.
He came through so strong.
She said she had seen like
eight different mediums. No one has ever
connected to her cat. I finally was like the only
one. I was like, no one's here for you but your cat.
She's like, that's exactly who I've been waiting for.
That would be me.
Yeah. Oh my God, it's crazy. And then I'm
describing like at the time I didn't even know people like cremated their cats and I'm like
your cat showing me that you cremated him and he's showing me a wooden box with like the
engraving I described the box like to a T this was over Skype she leans over she opens her desk
pulls out the exact thing I just described she's like I've never posted this I've never
shared this with anyone no one knows it was the box that I just described with the cat's ashes and
she's like bawling her eyes out I mean it's crazy so absolutely they come through also pets are
very um in tune with spirit themselves so your dog if they don't doubt anything well they're so
open there they haven't been taught to like oh you're crazy like they don't know those things
see word see word exactly the sea word so if tucker's like barking at a wall and you're like
what the hell are you barking like just obsessively that's probably because he's sensing spirit in
the room he did that at our apartment when we lived yeah he would yes but he doesn't do it at our
house no isn't that interesting to you so there's probably more energy over there yeah we
had the Ghostbusters come before we bought the house. You're kidding. He is kidding. Which leads me to my

Here's the million dollar question.
Yes.
What do you think of the Ouija board?
Oh, yeah.
Please don't.
Are you a big Ouija board guy?
No, that makes my heart pound.
I tell people, please do not use Ouija boards.
Because although there have been instances where people can connect to their loved ones
who are like their, you know, relative safe net piece through Wii G
board more often than not it kind of opens a portal to the negative kind of icky earthbound stuff i've
a hundred percent heard many horror stories stories and a lot of the people who use the wiji board
they aren't skilled in the way maybe someone like a medium is in how to open yourself up how to
protect your energy and they're just so open like wide open book that they just let everything in
and there's just been some scary stuff i've heard like attachments and they don't leave you alone and
yeah because there is so there are so many horror
movies out there that are actually based on true
stories.
I can't watch for it.
But I always...
Oh, I love them.
I can't.
I can't do it.
I also am like,
but how can you buy that at like Toys R Us?
Yeah.
Isn't that crazy that it's like made by Hasbro or whatever?
You should make your own board.
You should.
You should make like a positive one.
I probably should.
Yeah.
No, because that stuff is like scary.
I can't do it.
You've already answered so many questions.
I wanted to know if you could see them or
sleeping at night.
night, that kind of thing. So my question for you is, like, what do you believe happens when a person
dies, not to get, like, all religious or, like, yeah, I mean, it's, I'm just so curious of what,
like, what was that lady who used to be on Montel Williams all the time? Sylvia. Yes, Sylvia Brown. I
used to read her books, and I, like, loved her. And she would call it, like, the other side. Do you,
what's your take on that? Yeah, so I like to say heaven, just, that's,
That's just what I like to call it.
You can say the other side, above, up above, whatever you're comfortable with.
I grew up in a very Catholic conservative household.
So when you talk about like religion and this and that, obviously with what I do, it kind of,
there's a lot of things I go against what I grew up being taught was right or the correct thing or this or that.
But I believe that with ever since I've come into my own gifts, I'm more spiritual and believing in an afterlife heaven,
whatever you want to call it now because of my experiences than I ever was even growing up.
up in that faith you understand so it's kind of wild but the way they kind of show me things is that
when we cross over first of all they say all the pain suffering illness like all of that just wipes
away they're in such a beautiful like a peaceful amazing joyful incredible place and really it's it's
it's kind of ironic in a way because we are the ones that suffer when we lose somebody we're the
ones that are that are sad and in pain like the reality is they're like so great they're so happy
they're so good so when people are like are they okay i'm like yes they're like more than okay they're
in such a good place and what they show me is that you know and i don't have all the answers i'm not
god i don't see i don't know i don't understand you just know what you know i just know what
they've kind of shown me bits and pieces i won't understand it fully until i'm also there on the
other side but what they show me is that they do get a watch back their life it's called um life
review and they get to not only watch back their lives through their own eyes, but through
the eyes of everyone around them, which is kind of wild. So you kind of go through, I don't want to
say judgment, but you watch back your life. You sit down with kind of your circle of spirit
guides, like the people have been assigned to your life to help you in this journey or this
lifetime. And there's something called a sole contract, which is, I like to say, the to-do list
for Earth school. So before we're even born here in the physical world with our little circle of
family and friends that will be here in this lifetime and also our spirit guides, we kind of agree
or we kind of go through the things that we're going to accomplish or try to achieve here in this
lifetime. The goods, the bad, up and down, all that stuff. It's like you kind of, you have your
list of things you want to set out to try to learn and grow from here in this physical world.
So when you die and you watch back your life and you sit back with your spirit guides, you kind
of go through and see how well you did. So did you kind of screw up? Did you do the things? Did you check off
the things you were supposed to? Or did you kind of say
to hell with that and just
go with the free will? Because we do have free will. We don't have
to do those things. But yeah, it's
kind of wild. I love hearing
this stuff. I could sit here and just
listen to you, tell stories
about this, and I still have so many questions.
Like, okay,
I have to go back to my notes because
oh,
like what kind of,
is there like a general
way that they communicate
to people for people who
have lost people who they want to connect with. Is there certain signs that people can look for?
Absolutely. So I like to call them the hellos from heaven sign symbol. So, you know, it's so
important. I'm the first one to say you do not need a medium to connect to your loved ones.
I say that right like up front. Like please don't feel like that's the only way that you can connect
because they are so much around you trying to get your attention. And you just, if you are open enough,
you will start to receive.
So some of the ways, some of the signs are, you know,
rainbows, dragonflies, repeating numbers, songs on the radio,
dreams, spirit visitation dreams.
That's when they come to a dream, and that's them in that exact moment.
Yeah, what are the dreams about?
Can you?
That's probably another podcast.
Absolutely.
Well, yeah, I do want to get to that because that's how it happens for me is dreams.
Dreams.
You wake up and you're like, oh, my God, that was my uncle, that was my grandma.
You know in that exact moment that that's them.
Yes.
Like there's, you can't shake it.
You don't forget it.
It's so, it feels so real because it is.
And it takes a lot of energy for spirit to come through in dreams.
So when you have that, like, that's an amazing gift.
You have to cherish that and know, like, oh, thanks.
That's songs and dreams.
Yeah.
Okay.
Sorry, we cut you off.
No, it's okay.
Oh, there's so many.
I mean, pennies from heaven, feathers, birds, hummingbirds.
I mean, butterflies.
There's so many things.
The list goes on and on.
What if I hate butterflies?
Well, sometimes it's funny because the things that we hate the most, like you think you hate it, but really, that's actually, it could be a sign.
Right.
You said pennies, right?
Yeah, pennies, dimes, all sorts of things.
And, you know, I say that for people who haven't been received, because a lot of people say, Monica, well, I don't get any signs.
Yeah.
There's a fine line of kind of being open and receiving and not searching too hard.
You kind of just have to be, like, go with the flow.
And then that's when you'll receive the most.
but also that you can say hey grandma or hey dad whoever it is that you've lost you can ask them send me this specific sign send me a hummingbird or send me the dragonflies you can kind of tell spirit this is how i want you to let me know that you're around and oftentimes they will listen
i when tron's not around i do talk out loud a lot no that's good they hear you they hear our thoughts don't worry they don't watch you while you have sex
I've always asked that.
I knew I had to, like, bring that up because people are like, do they see you in the shower?
Only with me.
I say this shower is like Spirits telephone booth.
I'm like, okay, well, if you're going to talk my ear off in the shower, at least hand me the freaking shampoo.
That's like when they talk to me a lot.
Did you know that when I was little, I still believed in the stuff when I was little?
And I remember being in the bathtub and asking them to not look.
And I would like cover up myself in a bathtub and be like, go away now.
at like little like I was probably on little 10 yeah like it's just it's crazy because what's funny
is we as humans like when we're young that's when we're most open to spirit because you haven't
been told yet oh it's an imaginary friend you're crazy you're making shit up like oh it's it's all
in your head going through our lives and just listening to kind of what society tells us is right
and wrong that's what causes us to suppress our just natural openness to
the other side and spirit.
You wouldn't, you can't believe.
How many people tell me like, oh, my child who's four, like, they talk about my dad who died before they were born.
Like, they know things that I never shared.
I'm like, yeah, that's because they're connecting.
I guess it's amazing.
That's so wild.
It is pretty wild.
I think I just picture, like, ghost dad with Bill Cosby that movie.
I think that's my problem.
That is your problem.
Because that is what I expect.
hope it to be.
Ghost, Dad.
How good of a movie was that?
So good, but no, don't have that in your head.
That's too funny.
There's so many other, like, I do think if you were more open to, like, signs and things
happening, you would see it more.
I need to be in tune with my emotions more.
Ooh, yeah.
You know, you know what's frustrating.
There's so many things that I wish I could talk about, but that I, my own medium morals is
what I say, that I can't say on this.
Oh, what?
Maybe after, but I can maybe share a little bits and pieces, but just a heads up, there are some things that at the end, if you guys have like five minutes or a couple minutes, because, yeah, one of the things that I've learned doing this work is that you have to be respectful of knowing that. It's not just you guys involved that, like, if something comes through and it's about somebody in your inner circle or your life and, like, they might be uncomfortable with that coming up or being knowledgeable or just people knowing of that in the public. You know, you're somebody, a lot of people are listening to.
too. Yeah, you just have to respect that. That was another question that I had, actually.
For people coming through, I feel like you deliver like a lot of positive messages. Do you ever get
negative ones and you just have to like filter them out? You're getting negative ones?
No, no, no, let me just say this. Let me just tell you this because that's a lot, that's a huge
criticism that mediums have is that, oh, it's all just like butterflies and rainbows and positive.
Yeah, a lot of, a lot of the messages are positive because you have to understand. Again, when they watch back
their lives during that life review, they see the bigger picture. They see where they were an
asshole, where they went wrong, where they, you know, where they could have done more, where
they, uh, situations that they now want to apologize for. Like, they do become better people,
the best version of themselves. Yeah. So they don't want to deliver negative messages. Exactly. Yeah.
But I will be the first person to say that like, unlike a lot of other mediums, I call myself
the medium with no filter. Like I do my messages from above events where I go to different cities and
I do as many readings in the audience as time allows. And people will,
be like, oh my God, I didn't expect you to, like, bring through certain things, like, calling people out on shit.
Like, I've had grandparents say, like, to their grandson or their granddaughter, like, I see you smoking the bong.
Like, you better cut that shit out.
Like, that's not necessarily a positive message.
It's like, you know, they're calling you out on your shit.
And it could be their humor too.
Exactly.
That's like, I love when Spirit can bring through their personality and their sense of humor.
And that's, that's some of, like, the best validation.
But in, in areas like, you know, with a TV show or with other mediums with TV shows, a lot of times they, they kind of.
edit out like the negative stuff or for example you know it's kind of frustrating but a lot of times
they had to cut out when there was a drug related or suicide passing because apparently there
were statistics that if it were to air it would cause more of that or something when I was like I think
it would be healing for people to know you're not alone like other you know so there's just certain
things but yeah I'm very much unfiltered when I have the opportunity to be do things like
do you bring that out in people too like if there's people who
question um like what they feel do you bring it out of them because i feel like really emotional
like oh like i feel like my heart is like pounding yeah because you're sensing the energy
in the room it's good because that's what i was feeling before now that kind of i guess i
pass that to you so i really feel like my heart is just pounding really fast and i feel like
something like the you don't have to rub my back babe yeah i don't i'm totally okay with crying on the
podcast but when we this is so weird actually it's not to you but we went to
Elvis's
The king
We went to his house
And when I walked in
You felt emotional
Oh my
I was like
I couldn't breathe at certain points
I could like feel something
And I kept telling Sean that
I was like
I just like
I know it's crazy anyways
To just be in his house
And feel something
But like I felt like
I don't know how to explain it
No
That's like what I go through every day
It's just that you're open to it
You feel either it's spirit
Or you're feeling the emotions
Just the whole
the whole situation.
I mean, that's...
Is it overwhelming to hear?
Like, you do hear and is...
Like, I would find that to be very overwhelming.
And sometimes I'd be like, can you just shut up right now?
Like, like, Jim Carrey and Bruce Almighty.
Babe, what is with your movie references?
I'm saying, but I can picture that.
Like, he has all the voices going through his head and he's just like, ah, stop.
That's 100% the best way to describe it is, you know, as much as I...
Well, yeah, kind of.
I mean, I love what I do.
I wouldn't trade it in a million years, but there are definitely times where I feel very overwhelmed.
And I've gotten better over the years at learning how to kind of control my ability to kind of say, hey, I kind of picture the lights being turned off.
Like, spirit, my lights are off.
Please back up.
Give me a chance to just like live my life.
I'm only 23.
So it's like sometimes I just want to be out with my girlfriends and not be drawn to go to somebody at the bar and give a reading.
Like I just want to have a normal life.
But the reality is, you know, with this gift, it's not always very normal.
Right.
And, yeah.
Are you friends with other mediums?
I was just going to ask that.
What would happen if you were sitting in a room with another medium?
Yes.
Just double the spirits.
Just craziness.
It's actually so much fun.
When mediums get together, it's a freaking party because, I mean, it's so nice to relate to somebody.
Exactly.
Even, like, just to have somebody that you can fully get, you can understand.
And there's not like there's so many people who can relate to me.
So when I am with those people, it's like, wow, like I feel so comfortable.
I have a medium.
Her name's Maureen Hancock.
She's from Boston, and I call her my medium mama.
She's like kind of a mentor role model for me over the years.
And just having a little community, it's small.
But having people that I can talk to and open up with, it's such a good feeling.
Oh, I bet.
Yeah.
That's like, well, what we go through, like Trista, we call her the Bachelorette Godmother because,
No one can really relate to what you go through unless they're fully in it.
Absolutely.

I don't want to put any pressure on any spirits, but...
I just have so many questions.
Like, I know you said before we started that you felt more with Sean.
Yeah.
I just want him to, like, can you say any or do you...
Well, I'll say this.
And like I said, there are a couple things that I'm...
I'm not going to say right now because it's my moral contract with Spirit.
And is it okay if we say it later?
Or would you rather us keep it?
I'd rather, there's just a couple things that I feel in my heart that aren't supposed
to be.
And it's, it, people could say this or that.
Like, it's just because I feel that that's what Spirit wants.
Okay.
Like, that's just.
And we will respect that.
Yeah.
So, but I was feeling a very, I guess this is, um, just a heads up.
Like I said earlier.
Yeah.
It's not up to me who chooses to come through.
how they acknowledge themselves how long they talk if they even come through um but just be open just
another note i don't get ex great-in-law half step so like a brother energy could be like a step
brother like you know that kind of thing step whatever um but i did feel like somebody was trying to get
a message uh to a loved one around you like a lot of times they see who you know or who you could
pass on a message you not to say they're not here for you but like they know even more so who you
can give the message to or deliver it to.
I did feel, ooh, a couple of things.
Oh, boy.
Now I'm nervous.
Ooh, I'm nervous.
Okay, so just yes or no, just so that I don't, it'll throw me off if you say more
because I don't want to second guess or question based on what you say.
Makes sense?
So just so that I know that I'm interpreting correctly, they work off my frame of reference
things that I have seen experience in my life and my signs and symbols.
If I can't interpret it, that's when I'll ask you for help.
So I do have a really strong grandfather that's coming through.
I want to say this is dad's side of the family.
As dad's dad departed, he looks at you with so much pride and just so much joy.
I'm going to try not to get emotional, but he looks at you like just so excited, so happy.
He is talking about his children.
Is there a five connection with five children?
He's talking about the baby girl, my baby girl, my big baby girl.
So usually when I get that, there's like one girl.
and like I or the youngest girl but he's wanting to acknowledge um there's a kha name connection
to her so do you understand that just yes or no yeah yes do you have an aunt okay okay
kha okay okay perfect um they had a very strong bond or close connection so he's wanting to send
love to her especially she talks to him all the time every day and he's just saying i hear you
i hear you i hear you so really important to pass on that message there's also a brian or a ryan
connection. I do feel like he's all about the kids. Like he's so much about the family. Is this also
child for him? Yes, it is. Perfect. I do need to acknowledge that for, okay, slow down. The biggest
thing as far as why he's wanting to come through is, is his wife still living? Yes. Sorry.
This is where I get emotional. Such a soulmate connection, long lasting love between them.
And she has not, the last thing on her mind would be wanting to find love again. Like she's not remarried
dating, correct?
She's waiting to be with him again, reunited.
He said, slow your horse.
Like, she's almost like, God, take me.
Like, she's just ready to be with him again.
There's still a reason why she's supposed to be here.
She's like, there's still a purpose for her to still have more time here in the physical world.
She said, don't be in any rush.
Like, I'm with you in spirit, and one day we will be reunited together.
I do need to acknowledge Normie, Norman, Nor.
Is this him?
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's a cutie.
Um, he's like classic grandpa, like he's just so sweet. Um, he's, uh, okay, slow down. Um, it's very important to acknowledge that he's sitting with her. Like, she sits in the same chair, comfy comfy chair reading her newspaper or watching the news every day. I don't know if this is something they did together, but he's sitting next to her in spirit like in the daily routine of like the morning like coffee and just having a moment like he's right there with her. He acknowledges that as she still has her mind. Like she's still with it. Yeah. Cause he's like, she's still with it. But like slowly as you get older, obviously things physically.
Lee starts to decline, and he just wants to acknowledge that you are not alone through that,
that I'm holding your hand, comforting you, loving you, and I'm by your side every step of the
way, you know, just as you go through the progression.
He does acknowledge that short, okay, slow down.
Is it been over the five years mark since he's passed?
Because they usually work with like 5, 10, 15, 20.
Feels like.
It's right around there.
Okay, perfect.
He's acknowledging that not long, I don't want to, okay, I feel like it was not long after his passing meant it was, it was too difficult.
for his wife to stay in the home or be in the home with all the memories. So did she sell the house
or move to a caregiver situation or something like that? Yeah, she sold the house. Perfect. Because he's
acknowledging that you made the right decision for you and what was best for your healing. You understand
that? He is acknowledging that home. Did they have many memories or many years in that home? Do you have
memories in that home? Yes. What's with the steps? Were there a lot of steps leading up? Because
there's like two sets of steps and I get to a big porch. Perfect. I don't know if there's yellow, white,
connection to the house but very like um old school steps too yeah perfect uh it's very like
colonial uh old school okay slow down um it reminds me of my grandparents house in connecticut
like it's crazy because they literally show me it's so similar whoa that's wild um yeah the house
is in connecticut what holy see what i'm saying they work off my frame reference they show me the
thing that relates to my life how it connects to you because of the commonalities there so wow
so no coincidence um he's he's acknowledging that with that whole transition or that move uh the things
that she would have taken of his um you know when she looks at uh certain furniture pieces or even
just the the pictures and just the little mementos like he's with her in that exact moment um he also
I don't know if there's a military connection with him was there something military um because he shows
me uniform yeah yeah okay what's that I don't even know what that is it's the foot guard
in West Harford, Connecticut.
It's, I don't know, explain it, but...
It's a military kind of thing.
A military uniform, yeah.
He shows me uniform, so I feel like she might still have the uniform, or she has something
that is connected to that.
He's very proud of that time that he would have had there, so he's smiling with, but he's
just so happy.
Did he have dentures?
I don't know what this is about.
Does she have dentures?
I don't know.
You can have to ask her.
There's something about, they're, like, laughing about it.
I don't even know.
Okay, slow down.
I'm super, he's talking so fast.
What's interesting is that he wants to acknowledge that he has, okay, slow down.
They talk so fast.
Okay.
He wants to make it very clear of how much he loves his children.
I don't know, because with the grandchildren or like family is very important to him,
but I feel like that softer side came with the grandkids.
But when it comes to just their upbringing, he was sometimes a little bit strict,
like he had a certain way about things, so that makes sense.
And he's acknowledging that that was just kind of like what he,
had experienced growing up in a way so that's kind of all he knew um and that if he could go back in time
one of the things he would do differently would be expressing his emotions more and saying the words
i love you out loud you understand that especially to your dad and just like the other siblings
of saying i love you so much and if i could go back i would have shared that i would have
expressed that more you understand that and he and he realizes watching back his life even
more so just how much everyone like just how much they did for him and how much they were around him up
until the very end. I do feel like he had a pretty peaceful passing as far as loved ones being
around him. He knows of who was with him in the room. Was he in the comfort of his own home?
Yeah, because he says it was very comfortable passing. And he said that he was not afraid,
that it was the transition was very peaceful. He was greeted by his loved ones and, you know,
things were okay. But he's, yeah, he's just in this good places. He's, this is what I might have
to say for after, because he has some advice business-wise and it's different stuff with you,
with you and uh but he's oh he's very proud he's just beaming just so excited i think the biggest
thing is letting your grandmother you can like call her right let her pass this message letting her
know that she's not alone and i know that every single day even though it's been a couple years
like every single day she's missing him talking to him um just like she just really needs to know
that he's still there and that he is uh that's the love of his life and they'll be reunited
leaves that stuff, then you can tell her.
It's hard because a lot of times people, it's just like, that's the reality.
They're not going to always be super open.
You might tell her and she might like, ah, crap.
But there might be a little part of her that's like, oh, that's like, even if it's a little
part that makes her kind of question or brings her a little bit of peace, then I, you know, it's, it's meant to pass on.
So I, I'll save the rest for later.
Because like I said, once I started, it's hard to shut the doors.
You also have a super strong grandma around you.
by the way, super, super strong.
And I don't have mom's mom, but super strong around you.
And she's, oh, she's ready for you guys to get married.
I know.
Who isn't?
She's like, yeah, right?
She's like so excited.
She'll have the best few in the house when you guys get married one day.
And she also is talking about boy energy.
So I don't know, I don't know how to interpret this.
I'll just say what that usually means for my signs and symbols.
when they show me boy energy, it could be a boy that is connected to one that's passed,
either miscarriage, termination, et cetera.
I don't know if you connect to that, or it could be an upcoming child,
but there is a little boy that she is with.
Okay.
Yeah, so I'll just leave that there.
But, yeah, she is with that child.
She also, I know this is super cliche, but she's showing me that she's very hands-on.
I don't know if she sewed a lot or knitting a lot.
She knit all of our little stockings.
She is knitting and she's saying super, like very intently, that she likes to come around your mom.
I don't know if you're going to make sense of this, but there's something about the smell of perfume.
So if she had a specific perfume, she used to wear a certain smell that your mom strongly.
We just talked about that like two days ago.
Perfect.
She's saying, that's me.
It's not in your head.
That's me.
So just know that she's absolutely going out of her way to make her practice.
It's known.
It's mentholatum.
Do you know that?
Smell?
I think.
Okay, it's like, I don't know how to explain it.
It was like mentholatum.
Like she's put on her like crack lips and she always smelled like mentholatum.
And the other day my mom opened up a medicine drawer because Sean was feeling sick and she was
looking for Tylenol and it was just Tylenol.
And I said, oh my gosh, it smells like grandma.
I smell mentholatum.
And my mom was like, and we talked about her smell and then we started talking about her.
She's saying, I connect through smell, especially.
especially around your mom, so you can pass that on.
Also, did your grandfather smoke cigars?
Stop.
Because he just said, talk about the cigars.
When he smells cigar smoke out of nowhere, that's me.
That's where I'm going to cry, because that is, like, their main thing, like, that they smell cigar smoke.
Yeah.
So the cigar smoke is from him.
That's, like, the main thing that they say that when he's coming through is that they smell cigar smells.
Amazing.
So absolutely know that that's from him.
I cry over your grandpa and I don't know
It's so insane because you've gotten literally every single thing
Was he into sports or something?
Because he sits back in a chair and he's watching sports
And he's smoking cigars
I don't know where the football are golfing
But he's like he's smoking
He said in heaven I still get to enjoy my passions
And he said oh in the sports
And I got my cigar
And he's just a cool guy
He also has big glasses and he caps
I don't know if he was thinning hair
Was he losing his hair a little bit
You see this hair right here?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's like his.
He had some solid.
But he's wearing hats towards the end.
But he's acknowledging the hat.
And he said, tell him I have a full head of hair now.
So I just didn't know if he was starting to lose it.
But he's saying, I got my full hair.
He's probably showing like he's got the full hair.
Yeah, you're lucky because of him.
Yeah.
You're welcome, basically.
That's the good jeans there.
But yeah, what a good guy.
You guys got some good peeps on the other side.
Absolutely.
I'll kind of let them back up.
But I do have like a couple of things.
I'll tell you off the off the podcast.
Yeah, because I was, the only person that would come through for me would be him.
Yeah.
That's the only person.
Did you lose your other grandmother as well?
Yeah.
Because she's, our grandpa's still here, though?
My, no.
Wait, slow down.
Who's the robber, Bob?
There's, is there more recent passing within the last year or so?
For grandfather?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Who does that connect to?
Is that my mom?
Oh, your mom.
Okay. Well, there just feels like, I don't know who exactly. Why does it feel like it's connected to his son?
Okay, slow down. Are your parents divorced? I saw the disconnect. Has her, is she remarried or found love again?
Has he lost his dad? Rob. Oh, yeah. And I'm bringing up a rob. Is he lost his father? Yeah. Yeah. But do you know if that's more recent? No. Do they share a name connection?
I don't know that.
You don't know.
You'll have to check because there's a really strong thing.
Yeah, there's lots of things where if you talk to somebody, you can go back and figure things up later.
I always say the gift of a reading keeps on giving when you can't connect in the moment.
But you talk to people.
The time goes on, you're like, oh, my God, that's exactly right.
Just I do feel like his dad's around him and he's wanting to send love to him.
Okay.
I'll tell him.
Do just check him with him.
Okay.
Yeah.
Oh, that you go all day.
This is why I said when the door's open, it's hard to, like, be like, should you do like one more?
Oh, my God.
I think the other stuff is supposed to be.
off the record.
I just was honestly, okay, this is crazy
and that's why I started crying right in that moment
because I,
when Sean went to take Tucker out
to go to the bathroom this morning, I spoke
out loud for Sean's
grandfather to come through and do something
with cigars. You're kidding.
And so the whole time you were talking,
you're like, just say the thing about the cigar.
I was like, please say something about cigars,
please say something about cigars.
And so when you went and then you came back
and said I was like, see, that's how spirit works.
It's like, even after they back up,
they're like, oh, wait, one last thing, because they know the thing that you're holding on to.
If it's part of my Spirit Dictionary or my frame of reference, they'll be able to give it to me
and kind of jump back in and be like, hey, wait, you need to give that to him so he doesn't leave questioning.
But then there's times where it's like, someone will be like, I'll only believe in this if she brings up
the freaking X-Contin.
And then that's where it's difficult because I'm like, I work so hard.
I'm like sweating bullets.
I just gave you all these messages.
And they're like, nope, I'm not going to believe it unless she brings up the pin from the third Christmas with the freaking
And, like, whatever, super random.
And I'm like, there's no way they can show it to me if it's not part of my frame of reference.
I never go into any, like, I haven't done a bunch of stuff with mediums.
I've done just a couple.
Absolutely.
I'm like, yes, please.
More, ma'am.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
And I was like, I don't want to do that where I come in and only have, like, you know, like, if she doesn't talk about this because I wouldn't do that, that's because I already am a believer.
So.
That's how I was.
But that, yeah.
So, would you say you're a believer now?
Man, I'm just speechless.
You nailed everything.
That was actually wild.
To the point where I literally picked up my phone and I was Googling obituary booth to see if you could have like.
And no.
Because you said his name.
You said five for the children.
He has five children.
His youngest daughter is Carolyn.
It's wild.
His son is Brian.
It's amazing.
All family.
Like we're super, super family oriented.
The house you nailed.
The granny you nailed.
The cigars.
I mean, that's just insane.
You have to understand.
It's like with what I do and people have the exact same feeling like, oh, my gosh, what if she could have known or this or that?
That's why I'm like, come to one of my live events.
And it's like, I do.
How would you?
It's just, trust me, I am the first one to say that if I wasn't the one doing this firsthand, I would be a complete skeptic.
It's fun.
It's ironic because I talk to dead people for a living.
But when I meet other intuitives who have different types of gifts, I'm like, oh, I'm skeptic.
Because that's just my personality.
So if I wasn't experiencing it, I would have been 100% in the same position.
So that's why I don't get angry when people are like that because it would be me if I wasn't doing it.
Because I was going to ask, too, if you do stuff like that over the phone, which it would probably be harder.
Because I was thinking before this started of my aunt, Carolyn, who you brought up, who I know is like she's very kind of attached to that kind of stuff.
And she gets these feelings.
will be at family parties and she'll mention like cigar smoke or other family members will
and she loves this stuff so when she listens to this hey caroline oh hey caroline sending love hugs
from heaven oh my gosh that is so freaking cool and what i had that's why i didn't believe the last
one because she said what i'm like what if she's listening oh i think she was great i'm getting off
No, because I went in with that mentality.
Like, the only way I would be a believer is if you mentioned my grandfather.
And she didn't?
No, but she mentioned like she did, but it just wasn't like that.
It was a little bit more.
It's just funny because people will say, I've heard this from so many, I, out of all these different mediums, a lot of people never heard about my show or watch it.
And then they compare to like the Teresa Puto and Tyler Henry and all the other people.
and you know what it doesn't even bother me that like people haven't heard or this but when they do they're like what the what the hell monica yeah compare in comparison like yeah i don't know i think it's so a guy just had something in my head that i wanted to say oh like my sister went to one my sister's a big believer and my sister went to one and she called me after and i cried like for hours just because this woman did not know my sister was in a crowd of people it was a live thing and
she said something like she didn't know that was my sister yeah and she had brought something up
that i actually don't think is online or anywhere and had like said something very specific and i
just like cried my eyes out for the whole night just because i was it was like happy cry too
because i was just so happy to know that that person is still around and like being there and
that's the thing the at the end of the day the reason that i do this is because you know going through
life and with especially with the the moms who've lost children and it's like just the the tragedy
that I have heard up like just through the people I've met we are very lucky like if not to put down
your guys is lost but like if if what we have experienced is like I miss my grandfather I miss my
grandma like I miss my loved ones but it's like it puts life in perspective when you're like
meeting with these people like last last week or the week before I did a reading for someone who
they lost their child and their husband was responsible, like, as far as accidentally
running over the child.
So it's like, when you see that type of stuff and you're like, I can't imagine what you
go through and how you continue living your life with that kind of guilt or regrets.
And when I see that through the messages that come through how much healing it can give them,
like obviously it's never going to completely fill a void.
Like, that pain will forever be with you.
But I always say if it can at least peel away one.
one layer of grief. I know I did my job. And there's always going to be skeptics. There's
always going to be haters. The ones you say, this is bullshit. This is whatever. And I say,
you know what, to hell with them, I got to focus on the people that I know it's changing their
lives and helping them get through their every day. And that's, I feel like anyone who's really
making a difference and is a big deal and doing something big, that people will always question
you and they will always find something wrong with what you're doing. And that just kind of means
that you're doing the right thing.
Exactly.
Is that what I think.
On a totally random sign-note, I just have to say it's kind of cool that we do have
something in common.
We both met our men on television.
I met mine on a blind date on my TV show.
You did.
So basically Bachelor or Bachelorette is basically one giant blind date in a way.
No, absolutely.
Yeah.
We kind of have that in common.
What if you were the Bachelorette with these special powers, you would be able to pick
off the good ones from the bad ones pretty quick, right?
Every, every, uh.
Every rose ceremony would be like a reading separately.
What does grandma have to say about you?
And then you'd be like, ooh, grandma is like saying this, bye.
Yep.
I will say this, spirit's pretty respectful that they won't, like, fully call you out.
Like, at least to me, when I, before, when I was single, they wouldn't, like, give me all your dirty secrets.
Like, that'd kind of be where you use your gift for the wrong.
You know, like, that's bad.
Yeah.
But they would kind of give me a red flag symbol, so, like, I'd get a sense, like, not the guy for me.
And what's ironic is that with my boyfriend now, Tyler, he, we met on a blind date on my show, and I gave him a reading on the very first blind date on that blind date.
And it's just kind of crazy, like, the way things happened, but I just knew in that moment, I was like, I don't know about this guy, like, just feeling a friend vibe.
But, yeah, really?
And then everything kind of fell in the place.
That's cool.
It is cool.
And a happy, like, I don't know, happily ever after.
kind of thing. Yeah. Ah, gosh. I wish we had like eight hours and I'm 100% doing a part two with you at some point in my life because that was, I knew I would cry at some point. I'm surprised it took Sean's grandfather to make me cry and not just like it. I was close. I got a little teard. I got a little choked up. That was pretty wild. Sean B does not shed tears. Like this guy is a robot and I looked over and I was like, oh my gosh. And his eyes were filled with tears. My eyes were sweating for a little bit.
Yeah, but you know what's also cool is that spirit, they know kind of what you guys need and like the fact that you've already had a reading before, like, because I was actually coming in. I'm like, why am I not feeling as much for Caitlin? Like, because I usually start to get a sense like about five minutes before I come in. And I was like, oh, this is awkward. Like not like not very much is coming through right now. But because they know that he was going to be here, they knew that he needed it more. That you've maybe already had that experience. Like you don't need that healing maybe as much as he does in this moment. So it's kind of cool.
cool like they see the bigger picture they know what's kind of right when you said you were feeling
something for more towards sean i was like that's fine because and it's so crazy i literally thought
we were going to have to call them up like i was like i was like shit like i hope you know
because right before i walked in i was like oh my god i'm feeling it last minute yeah i was like i'm
feeling it for the guy not not so much caitland i am just so happy
sean i know you're a believer now i know you are yes i'm a believer in you
okay that's hey that's a start you know that's that's that's

a lot more important to me than it used to be and just like people like you who are
encouraging others where like where I was with taking that as a priority I really respect that

impressive oh my gosh I feel like nobody wants to tune out right now like everyone's like no
keep going but unfortunately we have to end this podcast I couldn't I don't even have time to get
to questions because it was just too good no it was too good this is what I told you once we
open the door to Spirit. At least it wasn't
the whole thing, because that sometimes
happens. Is there any way we can party
with the Spirit? It's like, could I have a whiskey with
my grandfather? Hell yeah. You know how many times Spirit says
tell them I'm taking shots with them in Spirit?
Like, I'm right there, party.
You know what I'm going to do tonight? I'm going to buy
you a nice cigar and we're going to have a whiskey.
Yeah, and know that he's right there with you
and enjoying that. That's awesome.
I love that. It's good. You absolutely should.
That's awesome. Thank you so much.
Thank you. I hope
you are going to accept the fact that I am befriending you and not just using you for your skills,
but like I actually just feel like a connection with you as a friend.
