Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story. Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge, there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice. And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am. It's not just any audiobook. This is a full cast performance. So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry, brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
Starting point is 00:00:25 And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy. And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything. Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix. Talk about a dream cast. Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics, and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy. And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
Starting point is 00:00:58 So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again. So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen. Get ready for lots of laughs tabby topics on filtered advice and wine. Lots of wine. Get ready to shake things up. Here's Caitlin. Welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow today.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I have a very special guest with me. You may know her. I don't know how else you would know her, but you may know her from this season of The Bachelor. She, you got the first impression rose. I did. Which is a major tease because lately whoever gets the first impression rose wins. I feel like that's like a thing. Oh, maybe for bacheloretts, not bachelors.
Starting point is 00:02:00 You know, I actually got it, and I was like, oh, wow, is this a sign that I'm not going to be there at the end? Because apparently the bachelors, that's what I was scared of. And they're like, you know, it might switch things up, but apparently. I mean, you're still winning. You never know. So you made it to final three. Didn't quite make it to the fantasy suite. But everybody was rooting for her to be the next bachelorette, including myself.
Starting point is 00:02:23 She is also a model and photographer. Please welcome the one and only. You know what's funny is I don't know your last name. Hannah G. What? Hannah, what? It's G. I want to change my last name permanently to G.
Starting point is 00:02:33 To G. Yeah. But it's Hannah Godwin, but I like Hanna G. I did know that. I did know that. Hannah G is like kind of like a gangster name. It is. Like Hannah ain't nothing but a Hannah G thing, baby.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Somebody was telling me Hannah G. Oh, no, you're better than that. Okay. Hannah G. Hannah G. No, just G. Just G is so sick. Hannah G.
Starting point is 00:02:55 G. My mom tries to go by B. her name is beth and she's been trying she literally introduced herself to colton she said hi i'm b and i was like looking she always does funny stuff like that yeah and i was i just had to like i had to go with it but in my head i was like i don't know where this is coming from this is a new thing i was like yeah b what's up in my head i was like bg yeah and i'm hg oh actually i'm hg yeah like hana g is a gangster name i don't know what it is it just sounds gangster to me so that was quite quite the finale quite the finale was that i mean obviously they've never seen at chris harrison always beats a dead horse was saying it's the most dramatic thing and but this time i was like yeah tusha like that was pretty dramatic and and wild because you're breaking the contract like he totally broke the contract and as if you saw that coming i mean no one never really does but i feel like you i've talked about this with jason before we felt like you were the most genuinely into him like everyone else i'm like not everyone else i'm like not everyone else i
Starting point is 00:03:56 You know, down to the final three. In the final three, I was like, I just trusted your feelings towards him. And I just feel like you didn't have enough of a voice on the season. Like, I feel like they didn't show you enough. Do people tell you that all the time? Yeah. Like, it was so confusing to me. I'm like, why are they not showing her?
Starting point is 00:04:15 I don't know. It's just kind of been a huge, like, question mark. Like, who I am. And when I got off, I was like, oh, my gosh, like, you know, I had emotion. and all these interviews, I cried. Like, it was funny. Like, all these different things. I was expecting to have a totally different kind of edit.
Starting point is 00:04:32 But, you know, there's only so much they can put in. That's true. But why do you think it is? Like, do you have a theory on why they might not have shown enough of you? Yeah. I don't feel like, but it's, to be fair, it's not really just you. I feel like it was a lot of the girls this season. Like, I honestly still, by the end of this season, felt like, I was like, I don't really know who these girls are.
Starting point is 00:04:55 That's interesting that you, that because I thought I was just being biased by being like I actually know these girls and there was like a few things that where I was like you know I'm surprised they didn't show this part of their personality or this part of this and that's interesting that you saw that too no I did with a lot of it I don't know but you know for me I think a lot of the I guess screen time was drama related and stuff and I didn't get super involved like if I am passionate about something I absolutely speak up and you know sometimes people listen because I never really speak up if it's just like right but um when you do speak it means something that's well that was on when i was on the bachelor
Starting point is 00:05:32 i stayed the hell out of all the drama and people would always be like oh that's weird katelyn's quiet but that's when i'm quiet is when there's like all this like drama happening in the house and girls are going nuts i'm like i just sit back and i'm like you you just you embarrass yourself go on i just want popcorn yeah absolutely you just want to watch it all go down yeah i said that on the podcast before that i was like hana g stays out of the drama which I really liked. I sure did. Because it's, I mean, we all tune in to see the drama and it's obviously fun to watch
Starting point is 00:06:01 the mess unfold, but you like when people stay out of it. Yeah. Well, and you know, when you watch it, like on TV, you're just like, whoa, this is interesting and you don't want to speak up because you want to like listen to what's going on. Yeah. And I felt like that. I remember sitting on like a couch and I was like, there's a few like, oh shit moments. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:18 I'm on The Bachelor. Like I'm like watching what's happening. And I felt like I was just watching for my TV. Yeah. I was like, wait, this is real life. Yeah, I know. I felt that same way. Have you watched the shows before?
Starting point is 00:06:29 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's how I felt too, watching back. I'm like, I was like, ha, ha, look at all these shit going down. And I'm like, wait, I'm part of it. That's me on TV. What? Yeah, it's so weird. How did that feel to sort of like relive those moments on the show through the TV screen?
Starting point is 00:06:44 Because we all know that it's an edited show. So watching it back, did it bring up old emotions for you? And like, you kind of had to like, relive the emotions, or did it give you closure or both? I don't think it really would have you closure. It gave me closure when I watched my season of The Bachelor when I was on The Bachelor. I got closure. I was like, oh, I see that now.
Starting point is 00:07:06 But for you, I feel like it's probably a little bit different. You're probably like, wait one. Yeah, I was hoping for more of a clear answer as to why it didn't work out. But also, you know, there's things that are edited out, whatever. But watching back and reliving those moments and seeing that things were actually there, even, you know, as there as they were in my head. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of reassuring, but also confusing. Yes. It's like, how do I take that in?
Starting point is 00:07:29 Yeah. You know, at the end of the day, it's like big picture. It just... Right. That's like... That's all you need is a little time to see the bigger picture. Yeah. Because in the moment, obviously, you're so confused and it's heartbreaking and you're going through... People are always like, think of you as a character on a show, but you're
Starting point is 00:07:45 actually going through these real heartbreak emotions and feelings. And it's like painful, and you're living it in front of all these people. And now that you've had time to process it, how are you feeling? Like what you said of watching it, you know, on Mondays and stuff, I'm not going to lie. There were a few Mondays where it would hit me. And I was just like, how is this like my real life right now? And, you know, how is he not reaching out and all this stuff? Like, I was just super confused and, you know, it's not fun to rewatch all the time.
Starting point is 00:08:13 No. But time heals. I mean, if somebody doesn't want to be with you, that's sometimes a big enough closure. answer that you need it's like confusion yeah closure yeah sure I got it it's not like I'm like oh my gosh I still need to be with him no he doesn't want him you know he wants to be somebody else
Starting point is 00:08:30 yeah that is closure in itself that I'll never forget I dated this guy and he had just got out of a relationship with this girl and they like it was a the door was closed it was a closed door he was clearly moving on the feelings were not there they broke up
Starting point is 00:08:46 and then like weeks later she kept trying to call me and she was like, I just don't understand what happened between us. Like, I just want closure because he wouldn't talk to her. And I'm like, closure for you should be that he doesn't want to talk to you and that he's moved on. Like that is a harsh reality and it can sting and it can suck, but that's your closure right there. Yeah. That's kind of all you need to know because if you have the self-worth, then you're like, okay, I'm going to find somebody that wants to be with me.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Exactly. That wants to jump a damn fans for me. When you were watching that back, because you obviously didn't know all that happened, right? I mean, you were on the show. So, I mean, I'm sure it eventually got back to you somehow. Yeah. But, yeah, what were you? In that moment, you're like writing him a letter, right?
Starting point is 00:09:33 Like, they probably were like, yeah, he's coming to like, or no, they probably didn't even tell you he was coming. No. Yeah. They were just getting B-roll. Okay. So they were getting like B-roll of you, like, writing him the letter. And then you just got a knock at the door. And that's when you.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Yes. Okay. So my producer left the room really. quick and um you know i heard a knock at the door and i figured that was her yeah so they're like you can answer it like we've already gotten this and i was like okay sweet yeah and i answered it and it was him and i was yeah oh my gosh and i was like oh he's coming to surprise me this is awesome right i've been thinking about this for that's all you want in those times like some oh my gosh yeah you because you're so isolated and alone especially in the final four and three because now you're
Starting point is 00:10:15 separated from all the girls you only have a producer so you're sitting there separated from anybody that all you crave is some sort of connection and like all you think about you don't have your phone you don't have internet you don't have Instagram you don't have anything so all you're thinking about is your relationship that you're right literally you were writing down your feelings and thoughts and what you wanted to say to him and all you dream of is that person knocking on the door to come see you oh my gosh yeah so then it like you're already at this built up point of like he surprised me he's coming to see me this is all I've ever wanted and then it's like bam yeah it was breakup it was a bam yeah sure and it just didn't mean you could see the shock
Starting point is 00:10:53 in your oh I couldn't even I didn't know how to take it in and at first I was like I want to comfort you and then he was like I want to I don't want to get up and leave right now and and I was just like okay and then you know you would hug me and I would be like wait yeah what are you doing and I was just really like going through all these different things in my head just like I don't know I just I think I think it was like the week after especially that was really intense for me because as soon as he hugged me goodbye I was just like okay and like in your head you're like oh surely you'll get a few answers like like you usually would in a relationship like over a text or a call like for some kind of form of closure yeah I don't know and I like he hugged me goodbye and he closed the door behind him and I was like oh wait that's it you're like that's yeah I kept waiting and waiting and I was like there's no way that was just it like he literally said he's falling in love with like there was no reason for me to think and I'm a people reader. I like weird viber over here like I can tell. Intuition.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Yeah. Super intuitive and, or at least I like to think so. No, you can't be intuitive on that show. You can't. It doesn't matter how how well you are at reading people. You never see those situations coming.
Starting point is 00:12:04 And I always say that that was the most confident I've ever been on the whole season of The Bachelor was when he sent me home. That was when I was the most confident. I was like, I know he wouldn't send me home right now. Yeah. And that's when he did it. Isn't that crazy? It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Yeah. And some days it was more intense. Like, you know, some days I was like, you know what? It's fine. I'm like, girl power. I've got this. And it's like, I think it was like my Spotify playlist. One is like Britney Spears.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Like, you bet I work this? Yeah. And then the next one is John Merritt. And I'm like crying myself to sleep. Yeah, totally. So I've had all the, all the feels for sure. Yeah. It's a normal breakup, a normal heartbreak.
Starting point is 00:12:38 It was just that there was no, usually in a heartbreak, like I'm not going to lie. My breakup with Sean, I saw it coming. You know, we knew it was going to happen. But on the show, it's like, even when you're dating somebody in real life, you can kind of tell when it's going south. When you're telling each other, you're falling in love and you're like really there with somebody and then it happens. Yeah. And you have no warning signs and you only have like, I, God bless the producers, but like they're obviously got to do their job and like tell you, they can't let you think that you're going to get dumped. Like that they'd get fired.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Yeah. So you have everybody telling you what you want to hear. Right. And these people in that point of your life are like family. So you trust them. Yeah. And then that happens. And it's like, well, now not only are you heartbroken, you also feel manipulated.
Starting point is 00:13:26 You also feel lied to. It's like all these things you don't have your like friends and family to just call. Right. And then you get home and you're like, hey, I had a really bad breakup. What just happened? Like these next few holidays are going to suck because they're going so differently than I thought somebody just doesn't want to be with me. Ultimate form of rejection. And then, oh, yeah, we have to watch it back.
Starting point is 00:13:47 And then people come up to me and say, hey, oh, my gosh. Like, I just know it's you. Like, you guys have the best connection. I was getting to fake it. And it's like, you don't do that in normal relationships. Think of, like, you know, not you. But just in general, like, trying to picture, like, a really hard breakup and then having to fake it.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Yeah. And then just knowing all of these forms of rejection. Yeah. Like, I always think about that with, like, people probably going up to him, too, being like, you know, like. Screw Cassie. Screw Cassie. She, like, she left you. She doesn't want you.
Starting point is 00:14:19 I can't wait to see you and Hannah together. You know, like, he probably got that. Yeah. Do you know what happened to me? This is the worst. People were going up to Sean being like, you don't need that slut. She, like, had sex with somebody. Oh, it was bad.
Starting point is 00:14:31 He was getting people. He already had a hard enough time with my whole season because of the controversy. And so he was like, yeah. And it's, that's his fiancé. And people are coming up and telling him, like, how shitty I am to do that to him. So it was like reiterating his like insecurities already. And then it made me feel like shit because I'm like, people always ask me too. Like, did you have regrets?
Starting point is 00:14:53 Of course I did. When people are like, yeah, no, no regrets. I'm like, of course I did. You can't go on national television dating 25 men falling in love with multiple and not have regrets. You're like, oh, I could have done that differently. Yeah. Like you just, you do. So I wanted to ask, do you have any regrets after I just said, nobody can't.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Everybody else have regrets. Basically what I was trying to tell me. regrets I know as soon as you said that I was like shoot I actually for me personally I don't how am I supposed to have regrets and hope that I'm in a relationship like hope I I know for me there wasn't anything that was off of my character or my entire like there were so many things and that was something I held on to maybe that's why a lot of people didn't get to know me is because sometimes I'd be like I don't want to I don't want to talk about this I don't know who knows yeah that's just they let you get away with that you could say i don't want to talk about it i feel like
Starting point is 00:15:49 okay so sometimes if i'm like in the mood i can be kind of like fancy with words yeah say it in ways to where it's like air in somebody's head yeah and so i think i would do that and they're like what this is a waste of time yeah but you know whatever i think there were also so many strong personalities in the house yeah who they could get it from way easier than me um or not get it from But, you know, get, like, the narrative of the whole thing. And sometimes I wasn't even there for something. Yeah, because sometimes people will play their game. And sometimes you need to, but sometimes people go overboard and they're like,
Starting point is 00:16:23 how do I get more TV time? Like, what do you want me to say, you know? And people will go there. So let's just take a quick minute to talk about how warm beverages suck. Starting point is 00:18:25 B-R-U-M-A-T-E.com, codevine. Were you surprised by any of the creative, let's say, creative direction that the producers went? or like any like were you surprised by anything going through the process that they would have you talk about or do or situations that you were in were you surprised by it or were you basically like yeah this is how I thought it would go it was pretty much what I pretty much what I thought you know there were some days where it was like oh like this would be an interesting topic to bring up but I know for me my conversations were maybe so natural sometimes that they would it's like, what's you do today?
Starting point is 00:19:04 Like, what's going on? Like, you know, what are your triggers? Like, oh my gosh, this happened today and like my laundries, you know, in the laundry room. Oh, like actual, like, just normal like stuff. Oh, my gosh, I ate this like muffin and it was like crazy. God, have you ever tried those? Yeah. Just that's how I am though.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Like, I'm not like, hi, here's my like life story, you know, all the time. Right. So that was interesting where, because you do need to get to those important topics if you're going to possibly be with somebody. But for me, it was just switched. Maybe they knew. Maybe they knew that you. needed to just have normal conversation to like warm up and get there with them yeah what was something
Starting point is 00:19:38 that you wish they would have shown that they didn't i think there were just so many moments where i would just be kind of goofy and myself and i thought honestly as soon as i got off i was like okay i gave them a lot of like you know random interviews and like goofy situations like doing puns all the time and all this stuff and like i thought that i was going to be branded as kind of like the like cheesy joke person and so seeing that it was like you're like wait wait I don't have a cheesy joke in there but yeah you know um I think that's what I was surprised with yeah and then there's obviously just like moments of like there's just so many random moments I would rap um sometimes yeah and that was the thing in the house all the time it's like I need to do a wrap together okay side note I see that
Starting point is 00:20:25 you dance oh yeah all the time yeah I grew up dancing my mom was a professional ballerina so cool And I started dancing when I was really little. And it's like singing and dancing to me are like my two passions. Like if you asked me like what I wanted to do, if there was like any job in the world, it would be podcasting. Yeah. Singing and dancing. Wow. I've got one.
Starting point is 00:20:46 I mean, I can also sing and dance in what I'm doing. So that helps. You have a mic right here. You could sing. Uh, no. I'm like, I'm going to put out a song soon. And I've been saying that for like a year, but I really am. So I'm like, I don't want to ruin it on like a podcast where I'm like.
Starting point is 00:21:01 butchering like just in like a podcast mic i gotta have like good yeah good studio sounds you gotta do it right you gotta do it right what what it would be your passion like in life if you were to pick one thing that you could do for the rest of your life and be happy oh my gosh um so basic but traveling yeah it's just like those memories that you make while you travel that you can't always make at home and we're out of your element and your comfort zone and all this stuff like it's my jam if i could just travel everywhere i don't know what i would want to do you just go yeah that's i love traveling too i feel like that's i feel like that matures you as a human being too like to see the world i feel like you just grow as a person like crazy amounts to go traveling and see other cultures and like learn and kind of
Starting point is 00:21:48 be independent like that and like go figure things out on your own traveling yeah i feel like that where have you been have you done a lot of traveling no oh no i haven't done a ton of traveling so i do to do a lot of that and I don't even just want to travel to like the coolest place like dubot like all the like fancy places I want to just like see these like regular cultures and like all this stuff you know we went to Asia and that was so cool I mean I've never flown out of the country ever before really yeah oh that's exciting yeah I guess you're still you're 23 right 24 oh you're 24 now when's your birthday February 4th what does that make you I don't know what does that mean I don't know well somebody said something in it oh what was it
Starting point is 00:22:28 I don't remember. I don't, I don't know signs. I only know my own and apparently I'm a psycho. I wish I did. Really? Gemini's are psychopaths apparently. Really? It says that we're like good liars.
Starting point is 00:22:40 Oh, nice. No, I'm like, I'm a terrible liar. I'm like the most brutally honest person you've ever met in your life. I can't lie to you. Like, I just can't. So you don't like identify with your science. I identify with a lot of things, Gemini, because it's like creative minds, like really outgoing personalities, like a little bit like really.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Did I already say independent? No. No. Independent and like just go getters and like don't need nobody but also like really needy at the same time. Yeah. That's me. I get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:09 I mean, then you fit your sign. I can be totally needy. But in like appropriate moments. That's good though. Yeah. Get what you want. Yeah. And I do.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Oh. And I do. All right. Yeah. Already then. Does what are you, Aries, Aquarius? Aquarius. Does Aquarius get what she wants?
Starting point is 00:23:26 Or do you, are you like? It's okay if I don't. Aquarius never got the fantasy suite. Oh, so I don't know. I know. I always wonder that too with the fantasy suite. Were you nervous about that because there's so much, I don't want to say hype, conversation around his virginity? Were you nervous because I thought, like, I thought for his fantasy suites they were going to, like, exploit him and, like, really make it this big thing and tell everybody's sex stories.
Starting point is 00:23:54 And I was, like, nervous for all the girls because I was like, what are they going to do to them? what are they going to say about them because I had it so bad on my season. But so were you nervous at all thinking about or were you just like, that is my chance to just have off camera time conversation. Yeah. Figure him out. See where his head's at. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:12 No, that's, that was the case for me. Yeah. I mean, off camera time, it's, it's everything. It's so nice. And I actually, so my entire trip, I don't sleep on planes. It's like really bad. It sucks. But I spent my entire flight to Portugal.
Starting point is 00:24:28 like writing all these questions that I wanted to like possibly go over with him to like see if you know what things like in the real world and like how could we really make this work and you know just the random things that we didn't get to touch on and stuff and so I was just looking forward to extra time spending with him and everybody's always like ooh these extravagant helicopter dates and this and go in here and I'm like people don't understand that all you really crave yeah is that like put me in a room yes put me in a room with like a glass of wine And that's going to make me the happiest on this show. No, and I would tell him, I was like, you know, this is all cool and all.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Like, so a lot of my conversations were probably very boring, but it. But more real. Yeah, it was just who I am and everything. And I was like, if we could just go out in the hallway and sit and chat. Like, you know, really just like. You crave that. And things like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Because, you know, you know, an environment that's just so different. And there's lights sometimes and bikes. I know. You know you're on camera. and my back is feeling weird you're very aware of of everything going on that's how i felt too i was like i i am not shy by any means i don't get nervous talking i don't get nervous in front of guys and i'd find myself being like is my are my hair extension showing like um is my posture okay um when i'm talking and like i i was start i was thinking about things i just would never think
Starting point is 00:25:52 about it when i was watching myself on bachelor i was like who is that person i mean i I was myself in the house and like when they showed me in interviews and stuff. But with him, I was like, why am I so nervous? I was kind of like, like I'm a dork. Yeah, I felt like a dork. I felt like a total dork. Yeah. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:26:09 I get it. But it's understandable. Yeah. Did you get any off camera time with him? Sort of. Maybe just like a like in between town time. Oh yeah, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:23 That's nice. Yeah. We had some moments to like hang out and everything like that. Which I just loved. Like, just hanging out. And even in those moments, and you said something earlier of like, you know, he's telling you all of these things and, you know, you're hearing all of these things, but you never really know, like, even if you're intuitive or not.
Starting point is 00:26:41 But it was like his actions. Yeah. We're also lining up. Yeah. Yeah. So that's why I was like, there's so, you know, just those moments of like we would, like, it was like, we would week at each other. And it was just like things like that.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Yeah, little things. Just like walking by each other. And you're like, that's crazy. Like, what's going on? You know. So I will say, obviously, I'm not trying to just talk about myself this whole time, but I can relate back to certain things. So when I think back on to when my family met Nick and Sean, I would notice the little things when the cameras weren't on. And with Sean, he would be like, where's Caitlin?
Starting point is 00:27:15 And with Nick, he was like, where are the cameras? Oh, see? Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. In those moments are. And they are very telling. Like, you pay attention to those little things.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Yeah. Because you only have gestures and actions to hang on to. And I remember, like, I remember The Bachelor. He, like, when we did a rose ceremony, it was like, week two, he did this little thumb rub on my back. And I was like, well, you take every little thing in and you're like, well, he didn't do that. You know, he gave me this little thumb rub on my back. I'm it. I'm the one.
Starting point is 00:27:47 He made eye contact with me once. Yes. I'm the one. He winked at me and made eye contact while we were with my family. But they're telling. They are telling if you kind of read people and, like, their body language and stuff, it's like... Well, it's not like he didn't care about you. No, right.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Right. But it is, like, an interesting take on everything. It's like their body language and how they are when the cameras aren't filming and things like that. How did your family feel about watching it back? We had so much fun watching it back. Oh, good. I mean, obviously, it was weird. And I went home and, like, reflected after.
Starting point is 00:28:18 But I was like, you know what, tonight's going to be fun. Like, they're excited because it's just, like, so crazy. And they played that. rap part which I don't even know how rapping is really a thing I mean somehow it's the thing whatever but hey my family we all ended up
Starting point is 00:28:34 having rap battles yeah yeah so like while we were watching it together oh when you were watching it was amazing it was really great that sounds like something that my mom and I would do it was a thing yeah and it was really fun that's hilarious yeah I mean rapping I can get down with wrapping board games and wrapping man that's where it's at
Starting point is 00:28:52 that's where it's at and wine obviously All right, so I've been using perfumes a lot more lately and experimenting with different scents, but it can be expensive, especially when you have a shelf full of half-used bottles that never stops growing. So let's talk about you possibly being the next Bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:31:00 That was obviously a talk. I mean, you don't even have to say it. I know it was. I know how this world works, and I know you had a contract, and you don't have to say it because I will. But, like, what was the process like for you? Like, were you surprised you weren't the Bachelorette?
Starting point is 00:31:16 I went into that whole thing, just thinking whatever is meant to be. is meant to be and was I ready to find love and like you know possibly meet a bunch of awesome guys and all the stuff yeah but watching it back myself and seeing kind of who I was portrayed as I guess I was like if I watch this I have no clue who I am yeah you know and I that's how I was excited to podcast with you I'm like I want to get to know Hannah G. Hi it's nice to meet you yeah nice to me yeah like tell me everything yeah but you know so that's i did have that in my mind where it's like you know people don't really know who i am which is fine you know it's part of the whole edit and
Starting point is 00:31:58 everything like that but um yeah so i don't know i kind of just went into it being like you know it is what it is either way and i can't set myself up for disappointment if i didn't get it or whatever you know that means it might be for hannah b like what if she finds actually the love of her life and they have like tons of kids together and all these memories and impact each other's lives like this could be her thing and for me mine's just somewhere else like how am I supposed to be yeah and that's I mean I am all about things happening for a reason and I I don't know what it is but I seriously feel like this is how Hannaby's going to find her guy I really do I could see it totally happening yeah yeah because I think somebody is going to go into that and just absolutely
Starting point is 00:32:39 fall in love with the the person she is for her like totally you know yeah and some people I feel like they go in and they're like, okay, no, I have to do this, this, this and this. And say this, she's not going to do that. No. Even if she wanted to, she can't. It just doesn't happen that way. So I think that that's why this really, really could work for her. I always say to people, if they're asked for my one piece of advice going into it, I always say like, it's so cliche, but you have to be exactly who you are. Yeah. Weirdness and all, quirks, like anything, because you have to have someone fall in love with who you really are. Or you're going to come out of that show and live a lie and that will never work right and you don't want to be like you know you get to
Starting point is 00:33:21 the end with somebody and it's like oh hi nice to meet you by the way yeah I'm like psycho yeah that was me after the um I was like pulling out my hair extensions and like yeah like yeah unleashed Unleashed. You accept this rose? Yeah, we accept this psycho hot mess. Because that's what you're getting. That's amazing. Okay, well, let's confess.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Because we haven't done that yet. I love confessing. Okay. You just made me so happy. Yeah, take a sip of your wine. I'll tell you my confession first. So my, this is like one of the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me. And I don't get embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:34:13 easily. I have a tough time coming out with confessions every week. And this time I was like, yes. So when things, really bad things happen to me now, I don't think of it as, oh, my God, I'm humiliated. I'm like, ooh, podcast content. Oh, nice. Like, this is great. And so I was flying to L.A. from Nashville. And I was so, so tired. I had 45 minutes of sleep. And I'm in this, like, little sweatsuit. So sweatpants and this little sweat crop top. And I never wear a bra. Like, I can't believe I'm wearing one right now. I never wear a bra. And I went, you're the same? Yeah. I'm never. I hate it. And so I went to take my purse off and put it in the bin to go through the security. And there's like line up. One of the busiest times I've ever seen at the airport. And this guy kept looking over at me, but he was like an older like security guy. But he kept looking at me. And I was like, oh, I was looking at it. And I went to take my purse off and put it in. And I lifted my arm up and my purse caught my sweater. And I completely fly. Tits out. Tits out everywhere. Like, like, full-blown, and I've got my nip pierced. So I was like, it looked like I was like, like, it probably flashed and like, yeah, like it probably like blinded somebody with the silver. Yeah. I was like, bing. And I just didn't even know what to do. Like fully flashed. And I don't know who all saw it, but whoever was looking at me saw. But you felt the wind. I felt, oh, it was chilly. Yeah. Airport chilly. Yeah. And so then I'm like, okay. And I just put myself. in and kept walking and then I was like
Starting point is 00:35:42 and he knew like he saw he was kind of like he like a shifty eye and like didn't know today and then he looked down and I was like I wanted to be like how did you how did you react where you just kind of like ooh yeah I went I went like I like kind of like shrugged my shoulders in and I was like people just saw my tits and you have to act
Starting point is 00:36:01 like you like you own it almost and that's what makes it awkward is that you're just like oh like you know when somebody is like walking and they trip over their own foot and then they pretend to go into a slow jog that was me like I like I slipped yeah I slipped and then I was like and smooth sailing into the security bin
Starting point is 00:36:20 and boom boom and then when I was putting my hands up to do the like you know the security thing that goes around you I put my hands up and I wanted to be like anybody else but nobody would have got a bit Yeah yeah yeah that's amazing Yeah I feel like yours might be better than mine
Starting point is 00:36:36 What really? Yeah Wait you were nervous to tell me this I know I am scared And it's, it's not as bad as that. I mean, it's, mine's worse. I don't know. So it's just like, I'm so excited. I've never talked about this as like a joke before because it's really one of those things that were like personally, like even in the moment like after when I was going home, I was just like, I wish that didn't happen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:01 It's one of those. Okay. Can't wait. Just now? Yeah. Okay. Now, am I on? Ready set.
Starting point is 00:37:08 And you're on. Okay. she hasn't even heard this story so she's going to be like Hannah what the hell great okay so um it was after school on a Friday high school okay you know you're a little you have nothing to do whatever and um my friend was going to a Lil Wayne concert yeah by herself I don't know why she was going by yourself can I meet her because she's amazing that's the kind of confidence I want I she's that person I love it yeah and well I was also just too cheap to buy a ticket for it I mean I was in high school so I was like that would be fun but I can't afford it yeah and um you know before we knew low Wayne was did I say it was low Wayne yeah okay yeah yeah so he was um he his tour bus was parked in the local mall yeah parking lot and so before her concert we were like oh my gosh I heard his tour bus is you know parked at the mall yeah so we go there and we were
Starting point is 00:38:10 like, let's meet Little Wayne. Little. I was like, let's meet Little Wayne. Let's meet Little Wayne. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, we stand outside of the store, or we went inside like the mall trying to look for him and then we find the magical tour bus. And there's nobody around.
Starting point is 00:38:29 And we're both standing there. We park her car next to the tour bus. And we're like, Little Wayne. I was probably like, Little Wayne. Yeah, you're like, we. I love your. I love your Yeah, a millie. But so we were just like, oh my gosh, hey, hey, hey, hey. I'm like waving to him.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Well, we thought he was in there, but I don't even know if he was in there because the windows were tinted out. And then we get to this, like, really brave moment of both of us. And we were both like, what if we bang on his window? No. And so she was like, I can't believe I'm about to say this. Oh, so. She flashed him. No.
Starting point is 00:39:07 No. You moved him. It wouldn't have been a sight. Yeah, I hear you. He would have been like, I'm never coming out. I feel it. But so my friend, she like, used to do cheerleading and stuff. She's like, hey, get on my shoulders.
Starting point is 00:39:22 And I was like, okay, go team, whatever. So she bends down. I get on her shoulders. She's walking. We're just in a parking lot, by the way. She's walking up to the tour bus. And I start banging on the window. And I was like, Little Wayne.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Little, sorry. Little, hey. You're like, give me an L. And I'm waving. Woo! Hey, come out. Because we were convinced you's in there. And I'm just dying, laughing so hard. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I'm laughing. Sorry, I'm laughing. I was laughing so hard, because I knew how stupid it all looked. And I was probably, like, he's probably not even in here. It probably looks so stupid. And I start laughing so hard that I, I start peeing. Yes! You peed.
Starting point is 00:40:05 And I, as soon as I started peeing a little bit, I couldn't stop because, you know, like, I can't get down or anything. And it's just like, I'm like, I'm like, she doesn't, wait, she doesn't know that you peed on her? How did she, she just didn't feel it or? So, I don't know. So, and I think I was like, in my head, I was like, oh shit, I've got to stop paying on her. Like, she's about to go to her concert. And I love that you weren't even going with her.
Starting point is 00:40:33 You just, like, peed on her, it'll set her on her way. And she's like, and I was like, okay, I have to get down. She's, like, laughing. And I was, like, laughing, too. I was, like, probably getting heavy. And she, like, put me down and stuff. And I was, like, yeah, legit.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Yeah. And she puts me back down. And I was just, like, in my head, I was like, do I tell her? I don't know. And she was like, and she was like, oh, my God. She's like, I've never been so sweaty before. I was like, I know I'm really sweaty. I never told her.
Starting point is 00:41:06 I'm crying. Okay, you can't tell her, you just have to make her listen to this. I'm scared. No, that's so funny. We did this to my mom. So, my best friend peed on my mom's couch when she was so drunk. And then it dried. And then my mom was laying on the couch and we walked in, stoned.
Starting point is 00:41:24 We had smoked weed. And then we walked in and we were so paranoid that my mom was going to smell weed on us. And we walked in and my mom was like, it smells in here. And we were like, yeah? And she's like, yeah, like pee, right? and we were just saw her laying on the couch and we're like, yeah, like, pee! Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah, don't like weed. But it was so funny because we told her that on the podcast during a confession. And she was like mortified. Like, but I thought it was hilarious because it was so long ago. Yeah. So you're fine. Her perfume scent at the Lowell-Wain concert was.
Starting point is 00:41:57 You're in. It was. And I'm, you know, if you're listening, I'm not going to say your name. I'm really, really sorry. I've never been so sweet. I was like, same. I'm really hot. Yeah, totally sweaty.
Starting point is 00:42:12 You're like so dry. You're in luck. Oopsie. You did not just go there. I feel like I should do that as like an Instagram caption, but I don't know what I would caption for it. You would say, I know, I know when you do like. I'm so excited that you're in luck. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:42:29 We'll talk about the podcast and we'll be like, Hannah's got a confession and you're in luck. She goes there. That's it. And then people. That's it. That's the tagline. Yeah, it's the golden rule. I love it.
Starting point is 00:42:40 I think we all know that every car comes with its share of stories, that ding in your bumper when you nervously picked up a first date, the luxury package you got after a big promotion, or the mileage you saved by riding your bike all summer. While you can't put a price tag on your stories, now with True Car, you can at least find out what your car's worth when it's time to sell or trade it in. Just go to True Car. Simply enter your license plate number and watch how your car's details pop up. then answer a few questions, navigation and moonroof, watch as they bump up your value. High mileage, you already knew it was going to cost you, but now you know how much it dings your wallet so you can plan ahead. And once you've finished, you'll get a true cash offer sent in minutes, which you can take to a local certified dealer to cash out or trade in. So when you're ready to experience a better way to sell or trade in your car, check out true car today.
Starting point is 00:43:27 True cash not available in all areas. Now that the show's wrapped, what now, I mean, obviously you're going to go in Paradise. I mean, if I got asked, I think I would definitely want to. Of course you're going to get asked. What are you nuts? I don't know. I'm like, what if they don't want me? Of course, you're going to be, you are going to be paradise.
Starting point is 00:43:45 I don't know. Are there any, I mean, you'll have to obviously wait to see what guys are coming in off of the next bachelorette. But what guys out of any would you like to see on paradise? Hmm. Do you have any bachelor crushes? I mean, there's so many, like, different personalities and everything. From what I've heard, I heard that Blake is really cool. So I'd want to meet him.
Starting point is 00:44:14 I definitely would want to meet him. You're so Blake's type. Oh, really? I mean, not in a bad way at all. You're, like, yeah, no, you guys would be, like, Ken and Barbie. Ooh. Yeah. You never know.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Have you guys talked? Maybe, like, a high. We all talk. Let's be serious. In passing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In passing. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:44:32 And was there any sparks? Well, I mean, how are you? You know, it's like, come on. I don't know. Come on, you little intuitive people reader. Was there a spark or not? Now you're just overthinking because you're like, wait, is he into me or is he going to dump me? Or is he going to jump a fence or somebody else?
Starting point is 00:44:49 Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I feel like I would just have to like meet him and see. Are you ready in your life to be engaged if it was the right person, yeah. Well, I really thought I was going to be engaged right now. But it would have to be the right person. Of course. I don't want to rush into things.
Starting point is 00:45:06 No, of course. Well, then you're on the wrong show. Exactly. Exactly. You know what? I'm a firm believer in it's not rushed if it's right. I agree. And that's why things were not rushed between Sean and I, because it wasn't right.
Starting point is 00:45:21 We kept trying to make it right. Yeah. And it was three and a half years and we still weren't even thinking about wedding planning. It just wasn't right. Right. And that's telling. Right. Right. And if you're like, if it feels right and you just have like, you know, there's no, you can argue and you can have fights and you can have disagreements and all those things. But I think you know deep down if you're like, whoa, that's the that is a person I can spend the rest of my life with. I think you know.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Well, and who it's like, who wouldn't be open to that? It's a big part of what. And you know what? I tell you who wasn't. 23 year old Caitlin was not open to that. I was not. But everybody's different. Everybody's different. Everybody's different. I just know for me like it would be cool to find somebody who I want to spend that time with and you know I've gone through the party stages and I've had the long term relationships and I kind of know what I won and don't want and I finally especially after this learning that I can handle things by myself and that's one of the best things it's like so cheesy like I love myself but I'm also just saying that because no but but really it's like that that's like that's That's how teaches you a lot about who you are. It does. It does. And it's like just having these moments of like, you know what? Like I can watch this by myself and know that like, I mean, you probably went through something similar where you're just like, I'm going to go through all these emotions by
Starting point is 00:46:41 myself, handle things by yourself. And if anything, it teaches you what you are ready for or not ready for. Because nobody can really relate to you and your experience either because who can relate to going on the bachelor, bachelor, and the people who can, it's different situations for everybody. So you do have to kind of just be tough and, and, you do have to kind of just be tough and, and, you and strong in your own self. Yeah. But by doing so, you can also have weak moments.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Right. Yeah. So that's good. I'm excited to see you on Paradise. I know you're going. Aw. Hey. No, girl.
Starting point is 00:47:12 We ain't stupid around here, okay? I would need to bring a lot of sunscreen. I heard it's hot there. It's disgustingly hot I've heard. Well, actually, I was there once for a wedding. Oh, and it was really hot? Yeah, it's gross. Thanks.
Starting point is 00:47:22 But I'm a sweater around the face. Oh, really? I don't sweat anywhere else except for around the face. And so I was like on camera, I looked real real. Like, I'm like, thank God I never went on Paradise. It doesn't come out. Like, sweat doesn't come out of my face. It's really weird.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Okay, we're going to play a quick game and ask a couple questions from listeners. Okay, this game is called The Last, okay? So you have to truthfully say the last thing when I asked you. For example. Last thing? The last text message you sent. Should I check? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Okay. Yeah, you can't lie to me. Okay, it was to my bank and it said bow, so I could check my balance. Okay. I text my bank. we're like I mean yeah you're there yeah I'm dating yeah I think it was it a flirty text did you send a nude it's kind of cute yeah I don't know check my balance totally what I got going on in there and then and then they were like not a lot bitch just kidding yep we text back and forth it's like I've had to
Starting point is 00:48:17 get creative with this whole new single thing yeah yeah yeah I get it I get it okay you're bank I actually get it because I've texted my bank before last thing you Google searched on your phone Ooh, this is a good one. I want to check mine. Wait, I'll do it too. Yeah, I want to see yours. My last text. You should answer these too.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Aw. My last text was to Jason. He said, hi, babe. I said, hi, babe. I said, hi. He said, how's your day? Oh. What did I Google?
Starting point is 00:48:45 Coverups. Like bathing suit coverups? Yep. Oh, okay. What's my history? Did you find anything good? Show me your moo-moo probably? No.
Starting point is 00:48:53 Well, I don't know. I found, like, just basic ones. Then I think I got to strike. and I was like, what am I doing? Can you please look at my Google tree? My last one? It's Hannah G. Yes. And and banana roll under the butt. Whoa. Do you know what a banana roll is? No. I did neither until I talked to the girl from the skinny confidential, Lauren. Apparently it's when your butt, like you have your butt and then you have a little tiny extra banana roll on the bottom, which... An extra banana? Yeah. I'll show you a picture later. I'm going to have to... Maybe that'll be my...
Starting point is 00:49:28 My last Google search. Yeah, send me a screenshot. Okay. Last thing you ate. Ooh, is it Joanne's or Jones on third? It's like a chicken, crunchy chicken, Asian salad. Mm, delicious. I had tomato soup.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Boring. Last person you kissed. Colton. Okay. That's really wanting something juicier than that, but okay. I know, right. Last place, you had a little too much to drink. Probably on the bad.
Starting point is 00:49:56 I know. I was like just trying to think. Oh, no, you've been like, no, you've been out and about. You've been doing the media rounds. You were just hanging out, you were just behind Taylor Swift last night. Did you see that? Yeah. Oh, that was insane.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Last time I had too much to drink, probably at my house. I mean my mom ended up, you know, it's like you just end up having some good compos. That's when I get the most drunk because of my mom. It happens. It does happen. And you feel safe. And you feel safe, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:20 That's the way to do it. Last show you watched? The Bachelor. Last person you crept on Instagram. Baby. Oh, Viviana. Yep. Okay, amazing.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Last person you called. Oh, gosh. And I'm really making you work here. Katie, from my season. I told her I was actually meeting with you. Yeah. And she said that you're like the fucking bombs. Boss Katie is what I call.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Yeah, there we go. And last restaurant you went to. Oh, the one you just went to for lunch, probably. Well, I got that post-mated. Is that a restaurant at the, like, Mondrian? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. Great spot.
Starting point is 00:51:00 Yeah. Okay, three questions, and then we're going to wrap up. Okay. Brandy, Elizabeth C., what's Hannah's biggest pet peeve of Colton during the show? So I think sometimes, I mean, it's probably easy whenever you're exhausted and you're, you know, you're on camera and stuff. But sometimes I'd be able to tell the difference between the Bachelor Colton versus Colton-Colton. Yeah. And I'd be like, that was a great Bachelor answer, but I need your answer.
Starting point is 00:51:27 So I would notice that sometimes. Totally. Yeah. C. Drock says, will you keep modeling for red dress post-batchler? Yes. Whenever I get time, I definitely want to keep doing modeling stuff. I love doing it and it's so fun, but it's sometimes hard to get out there in Georgia.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Did you already find it that you had pressure on Instagram as a model and now even more so after the show? Or do you, are you pretty good with that? I mean, there's so many different types of pressure and all this stuff. But, no. I mean, I did some modeling and stuff, but, you know, it's just been such a different thing because now I think people who follow actually know who I am as a person, not just a face. Yeah. And so that's, that's pretty cool. That is cool.
Starting point is 00:52:12 I agree. I feel like I'm looking at all these questions and I've asked you basically everything that everybody wants to know. We've kind of already covered it. So, I mean, everyone just wants to know if you're going to do Paradise. Everyone wants to know if you're going to keep modeling. Oh, I'm so glad someone. asked us. Pleas and Pino.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Cool. Ballet and Wine. I like you. Question for Hannah G. True or false? Did Hannah B. crash your hometown date and why didn't they show it? What was that? There was like pictures of her that she like crashed some Hodentown and was like with Colton and they never showed any of it.
Starting point is 00:52:43 But there's pictures everywhere. I had no clue at the time. I've heard through like the grapevine, aka like random spoilers, that that happened. But I had absolutely no. clue the whole time. Do you talk to Hannaby? Yeah, we talk. What? I'd be like, what the hell are you doing, girlfriend? I would call her the F out. Well, they didn't hear it. Yeah. So it's just like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what the deal was with that. But it wasn't during my, you know, like, actual hometown. Yeah. So maybe after or before. I don't know. Okay. But that's. Yeah, I don't know. Well, I'm going to ask her. Ask her. Let me know. Yeah, I'll text you. Yeah. Listen off of mine.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Uh, last thing is, since you said you told a lot of jokes on the show, I always end my podcast with a joke. Do you have a good one for me? There's only one that just pops in every single time and I hate saying it. Why? I probably know it. It's just like a seventh grade boy joke. Great. My favorite.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Okay, what do you see when the Pillsbury Joe boy bends over? Obviously something about donuts. That's it. Oh. What? That's, I thought it was good. Do you have that sound effect? Oh, hell, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:56 it all the time on this podcast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? You know what? I'm really sorry, but we're going to use this one. Bum, but don't, you know. Well, trashy. But thank you because sometimes people don't have a joke.
