Hey, Vino's, real quick, if you are listening right now, which obviously you are or you wouldn't be hearing this, can you hit the subscribe or follow button on whatever platform you're on? please that one simple thing helps more than you even realize it allows me to keep growing on this podcast and making these episodes the best they can possibly be obviously for you that's the only favorite I'm going to ever ask okay it truly means the world to me thank you now let's get into it hey everybody welcome to off the vine I'm your host Caitlin Bristow and today's guest is a big brother legend I I think personally the most iconic big brother player winner returning legend
Starting point is 00:01:28 Rachel freaking Riley was in my house on that couch right there. She wore her red dress. She was iconic. She was everything I ever wanted her to be. We all met her on Big Brother 12 where she met her showmance, Brendan, and then we watched her win Big Brother 13. She competed on Amazing Race. Then she was on traitors.
Starting point is 00:01:46 And then she's been on like this cooking show. She's been doing it all. And she is still proving that she is one of the best players to ever play the game. It is just so funny. I bet everybody says this when they meet you, but just to, like, have you in person. Yeah. Just because I've watched Big Brother since 2003.
Starting point is 00:02:01 And so, like, just everything about it, I'm like, you to me are like the face of Big Brother. Oh, my God. Thank you. Wow. For sure are. And I'm just like, you're in my house. But I don't want to be like a nerd about it because I don't want to freak you out. Oh, well, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:02:14 I'm a nerd about you too. So, yeah, it counts. Like, we're both nerds. We can nerd out about each other. That makes me feel a lot better because I was like, oh, my God. This is, I'm going to be completely honest. I am having, like, such a terrible morning. and when I heard your laugh on the way in, I was like, that's all I needed.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Yeah, exactly. Yeah. It was like a little dose of serotonin and that's all I needed. Do you get bad PMS? Me? You know, sometimes. Like my PMS go, it ranges because like I'm 40 now. Yeah, same.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Okay, yes. So it's the perimenopause. Yeah. It's like real and it's not fun. I think this is my first perimenopause experience of like, I always thought I always knew I had PMS. Yeah. But this is like different.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Yes. No, 100%. And you know what's the worst is the sweating, random sweats, armpits sweats. It's so embarrassing. And it smells different now. It smells so gross. What's happening? I don't understand. We never could catch a break. Like it's just always something and then it's like, well, then you go into the real menopause. This is like a prep for it. Oh, I know, which is bullshit kind of, right? Like, it's totally messed up that we have to do perimenopause than real menopause. I mean, and then not, not to mention, childbirth was
Starting point is 00:03:17 not, you know, fun either. Childbirth doesn't tickle for those who are wondering. What was your pregnancy were your pregnancies like like were you sick were you yeah my first one was crazy because i got gestational diabetes yes you did yeah so that was insane so i had to stop i gave up all carbs all sugar it was insane and then my second one though with my son with the girl that's when i got the gestational diabetes but with my son it was so easy oh really walk in the park yeah that's so crazy i know i'm like because they always say like girls make you really sick and boys don't but then i've had i don't know what's real and what's not because i've had the so all my friends have babies and my sister has kids and so i feel like i'm like more than prepped but then i'm like
Starting point is 00:03:58 i still probably know shit about shit no you can't really i feel like nobody can prep you because everything's different everyone's different everybody's different it's just so crazy i never thought i would get gestational diabetes like i've never had a problem with it like and it was insane it just happened one day and that can just happen anybody right in pregnancy yeah yeah yeah oh my gosh so then this is probably a dumb question but after you give birth then that goes away it went away within like three weeks it was insane i know and it was so easy to lose weight with her but then with my son it was crazy because i felt like i still have the baby weight and it's been four years i feel like that's the second oh you do not still have the baby weight oh my god well i lost so much weight
Starting point is 00:04:38 and big brother i don't know why but it was like stress yes probably ashley lost a ton of weight in big brother too yes she said she did yeah the two of i remember i remember on like a live feed i think it was a live feed when they were like eva was like picking her up and she was like how light i am And they were, the Big Brother voice comes over and he's like, knock it off. I was like, oh my God. Was that? Okay, when the Big Brother voices come over and like give you guys shit, are they just like worried about your safety or are they like, you can't do that?
Starting point is 00:05:05 I feel like both because sometimes I feel like they just mess with us for fun. And then sometimes I'm like, whatever you said doesn't even make sense. Like in the moment, one time they were said to me like, chill out or something. And I was like, what am I doing? I'm sitting here like not doing anything. What are you talking about? That's, I loved watching the live feeds. Did you do something that, like, there's a certain time you would, like, pray with the, you're, that is so cute.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Oh, thank you. Yeah, every night we did, I did 530 Pacific, 7.30 central time. Yeah. So that every night it would be like praying with the kids so they could tune in. And then to come to find out, I talked to Brendan, my husband, and he's like, yeah, we missed a lot of those. Really? I know. Well, you were doing it with the world, which was cute.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Right, exactly. Because did you, I mean, it must have been just such a shock. To know, because when you were on it, what year was it the first year you were on it? 2010. So like live feeds were still things. Yes. But they didn't go viral on TikTok. Oh, there was, I mean, no TikTok.
Starting point is 00:06:03 There was no TikTok. It was just Twitter and then Facebook. Oh, and Twitter's pretty nasty. Twitter's a pretty scary place. Oh, and they were so mean. I bet. But they didn't actually record stuff. So now they can take stuff from live feeds back then.
Starting point is 00:06:18 It was just gone. Yeah, it was, well, we had flashbacks back then. Thank God they got rid of flashbacks. That was traumatizing. I don't remember flashback? Okay, you could go back and click on like, I don't know, June 22nd at 10, 10 p.m. You could? Any time.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yes. It was like, it was like insane. Oh, I didn't know that. Pull up. So you'd be like, I never said that. And they would be like, here are the receipts. And you're like, oh. That's, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And then you were on a second time. Yeah. The next season. Oh, that was right. The next season. I couldn't remember if there's time in between or. Or if there was, that was right into the next season. Literally.
Starting point is 00:06:54 It was like they called us in March, I think, of the, so it must have been, the show was over in September and they called us in March. Whoa. I know. And then that was the season I won. Yeah. Way better. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:07:05 I mean, it was just, I can, like, I quote you in my life sometimes. I'm like, I'll just like say things and I'll be like, that was still Rachel Riley. But it's just so great. Like, let's just start from, obviously fans lost it. I lost it when you walk back into Big Brother 27. Now, when you came out, everyone was noticing that they were calling you a roommate or something instead of a house guest. Yeah. Was there any reason behind that?
Starting point is 00:07:30 Were they trying to throw people off? I have no idea. I feel like, I think that they were trying to make me feel like more acclimated with the group maybe. Because, yeah, they kept saying you have a new roommate. And I was like, I don't know why they were saying that either. Yeah. And I was like, maybe it's a way for them to just make me feel more comfortable with the house. because obviously they're bringing you and they don't want you to leave early because they're like
Starting point is 00:07:54 I think because Big Brother obviously is not what it used to be I think people are playing such a softer game because they're so scared of the backlash of America that they're like I shouldn't do that and then they think overly too hard about what they're doing because they're so scared of how it's going to come across instead of just like playing the damn game play the game go into the house like wear your heart on your sleeve yeah I tell people that every Because you know what, at the end of the day, you have one shot. And like, you don't know when you're going to go home. And you don't know when you win a competition or lose a cup.
Starting point is 00:08:25 So if you don't go in and just play your hardest, you're going to lose out on everything. And you don't know if people love or hate you on the outside anyways. And guess what? Next season, they're going to forget. Yeah. And they'll probably think of you as iconic if they didn't like you then. 100%. You know, it's just so crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:42 What was your reaction stepping back into the Big Brother House? Like, because you'd probably visit it a couple times. do you do that like come back all the time i i remember there was like a time from like 2011 to like 20 maybe 18 that i came every season it was amazing they would call me back to like host a veto or like to do uh like when i have my baby yeah it was like announced the pregnancy then bring the baby on like all the things so yeah i've been back a hundred times but coming back as a house guest yeah okay first the first weird feeling was when they closed the door behind you and i was like oh my god i'm in yeah yeah i'm like well
Starting point is 00:09:17 I can't turn around now. Oh my gosh. So I was kind of like taken back because that initial feeling, I'm just like, oh, my I'm trapped. Because it's weird. Like you go in. You were in that one area just like, and they shut the door behind you. They're like, good luck.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And do you want to see you. Literally. Yep. Basically. How long are you standing in there? Well, so they brought me back. So, okay, listen, if you ever go to the big brother to do a tour or whatever, ask them to take you in the backside of the house.
Starting point is 00:09:44 It's amazing. Really? There's, oh, my God. There's thousands of cameras. cameras. You get to see like the control room. You get to see the control room. You can see all. It's so trippy because there's so many cameras that show different angles of all the different house guests. And you can hear them talking. It's insane. And there is someone at that switchboard. Yeah. So they have like a ton, like a whole wall of every camera with like the main cameras. Then they
Starting point is 00:10:08 have like another part where it's like the side and the secondary cameras. So it's like insane. And there's someone there all the time like typing and like, you know, just going through stories. because they have to like the difference is like with the bachelor bachelor bachelor it's like filmed and then they air it right so they have time to find a story they have time to edit they know who's gonna win so they can kind of go through but like big brother it's like live so we are they're telling this story it is insane i don't know how they do it the producers and like the editors and the story producers they're just so good at their job and they've done it for so long i guess they're just they can pick up story yeah which is insane because telling a story live while it's
Starting point is 00:10:44 happening has to be so stressful i always think about that with the editing a big brother. I'm like, I can't imagine the like chaotic energy back there of like, we got to do this. And then things can switch so fast. Yeah, 100%. And they're there like, they're watching you guys sleep. 24-7. Yeah. There's, I mean, there's hundreds of people that work on the show, but they have someone there all the time. And they always have like at least two story producers. So if we go to the diary room at 4 a.m. They're there. I mean, look, there's my house had like 4 a.m. people like in this 4 a.m. crew that were up all night. And I like, Why would they need it?
Starting point is 00:11:18 They were making them work. But when they're up all night, because wasn't there certain hours that you couldn't nap? Yeah. So they were just like not sleeping. I don't know. I don't know how they do it. That's what I'm saying. I'm like, never.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I had to go to bed. Yeah. The latest I stayed up. Well, I did that thing all night long once. But I would stay up to like 2 a.m. And I was like, this is incredible for my life because I'm a 10 p.m. bedtime girl. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:42 My bedtime is like 8 to 10 and that's it. And then like being a 4 a.m. really like not going to happen. No, absolutely not. Wait, what was that all night thing? Who did you have to do that again? Was Zach? That was insane. Oh, it was Zach. Yeah. Oh my God. It was kind of fun. I was going to say, you took that like a chance. I remember being like, I would be so miserable and you guys were so funny about it. The worst part was that it was freezing. Yeah. We were so cold because we were covered in that goo. Yeah. And at one point, I'm like, I have to take off my shirt. They're like, you can't. Like, and it was so much better when the shirt was off because we could warm up. But,
Starting point is 00:12:17 Like with those shirts on because they were cotton, it was sticking to us and we were freezing. When, what is that goo? I don't know. I mean, it's like a mix between, you know that slime from Nickelodeon. It's got to be a mix between like that with like dye. Yeah. With like, and the Otev slime was thicker and heavier. Didn't it smell too or did he smell or something?
Starting point is 00:12:38 So the slime from the BB break in or whatever it was called, that one was kind of smelled at goo or whatever. It kind of smelled stinky. but then the one that I got good when I was like I won worst whatever dressed or best or not best dressed worst dressed in America um that one was fine it was like really thin it washed off really easily but the Otev one was really thick what about when you guys have to like go in and smell the oh that salmon stuff that was insane that was gross yeah that was gross yeah I got it in my nose literally up my nose so the rest of the time I could not smell anything in that comp no it was gross
Starting point is 00:13:15 and I've been on like a lot of discussing challenges like there's yeah yeah nothing I won't do but that was horrible having salmon stuck up your nose and also like the GoPro like angle of everybody's faces coming into the toilet was so funny and I'm like yeah yeah it was so fun to watch like how did that even come about for them to call you to go back on this season I have no clue but really they call me three weeks before the season started And I was just like, okay, I guess we're going to do this. And they were like, they were like, we want you to go in as a real like, you're like, yeah. Because I thought my first question was like, oh, for next summer, I'll have to think about it.
Starting point is 00:13:56 And then they're like, no, not next summer. And I'm like, oh, so January for like, what, a three week season? Like Big Brother's Celebrity or something? They're like, no, for this summer. And I'm like, you mean in three weeks? And they were like, yes. And I was like, okay. All right, you know, when you're trying to find the perfect gift and everything

Starting point is 00:15:39 I am basically living in my bambas, everything. And if you don't know bambas yet, let me introduce you to the most comfortable socks, slippers, teas, and underwear ever. I swear, once you put them on, it is game over. I swear. The material is just unreal, like the marina wool that somehow keeps you warm when it's chilly, but then also cool when it's not. Make it make sense.
Starting point is 00:15:58 I don't know, bambas does it. And they're cotton, softer, stronger, way more breathable than any of my other stuff. And then the slippers? I've got the shirt-lined ones and I swear they make me not want to leave the house or maybe just wear them outside the house. I don't care. Honestly, I'm fine with staying in the house too. But the best part about Bombas is their mission. So for every item that you buy, they donate one to someone experiencing homelessness like over 150 million items so far. So if you're ready to be cozy and do some good, head on over to bombus.com slash vine and use code vine for 20%
Starting point is 00:16:32 off your first purchase. That's B-O-M-B-A-S dot com slash Vine, Code Vine at checkout. How did you get all of your eclectic clothing in there? My God, right? So they told me, and I was still working on my contract, so I didn't even sign my contract until, I would say, like, a week before. But I knew that if I was going to go on, I needed an over-the-top wardrobe. I had, like, a plan.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Because you really are like a character in the show. Yes, exactly. Yeah. And so, and after doing Traders, too, I was like, I need to step up everything because. Traders fashion is next level. Next level, yes. And so I knew I had to step up my fashion if I was going to go back in the house. And I was like, no, I need gowns.
Starting point is 00:17:20 And they're like, you get one suitcase and I said, no way. Yeah. Because that's, I think it's two suitcases we got to bring on Bachelor. Yeah. And I was like, what if I make it to the end? Yes. That's like 12 rows ceremony gowns. I can't even fit that in one suitcase.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Right. exactly no gowns need a suitcase like individually right yeah and did you like vacuum pack everything and like i so with one i had to i got like this giant duffel bag i had to like roll them vacuum pack them like stuff whatever i could do i was doing it then i had brend ship me more clothing yeah because i was like can i get shipped because they wouldn't let me just travel across the country with everything so i was like i need stuff shipped so we had stuff shipped to the house because otherwise I do think that is, never. That is fair.
Starting point is 00:18:08 I do think like, if the other house guests got like, oh, why does she get special treatment? I'd be like, you know what? Yeah. She deserves the special treatment. And like she's, you're at another level because you're like a celebrity coming in. You're not like someone that's working to get to that point. You've already been there, done this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:24 And like, then if you're that upset about it, then try harder to get her out. Right. Exactly. Which they never did. They did. I was like, I didn't want you to go. And my sister and I were texting all the time. being like, how is she doing this?
Starting point is 00:18:37 Okay, she's staying in? Like, because I was like, thought for sure they were just going to target the shit out of you. What was the strategy there for being like, I should have been a huge target as soon as you came in? Well, and then especially after Zay, week one, is like screaming from the balcony. Like, as long as I'm here,
Starting point is 00:18:54 you'll never be the first two-time big brother winner. I'm like, great. So first I was like, okay, I'm going to tell them no one's ever going to vote for me. And my main thing, I started this season with just saying, no one's ever going to vote for a two-time winner. it's never happened in 27 seasons it's not going to happen this season so i started getting like eliminating my target from that getting them to think if they sat next to me yeah i'm the best
Starting point is 00:19:15 person to bring to final two no one's going to vote for me especially a jury of newbies but they would have but i think they would have to but then i had to start like thinking of other things because then that you know people forget in that big brother house so quickly so then i was like okay i've got to make my rachel riley presence so big that they are scared to touch the first and fire like I made my fire so hot and I talked about every show I've done I've talked about every appearance I've made I talked about so many times the competitions I've won how if they came for me you can't come for me because I'm going to get you I just tried to like turn that fire so hot that they were scared to touch it and go near it and I think that helped plus I also was like I work in casting as
Starting point is 00:19:59 well right I thought you did that yeah yeah so I was using all my casting skills I was asking them like really deep and personal questions. Because I figured nobody would vote you out if they're crying with you. No, absolutely not. Right? And then they fall in love with you. And then they're like, oh my God, I love this person. I cannot get rid of them. And then they get scared of you and they love you and it's confusing and they don't
Starting point is 00:20:18 know what to do so they don't want to touch you. Exactly. You played it perfectly. Yeah. And it lasted for, you know, eight weeks. Yeah. But I still am not over. And the internet, I can't tell you, I'm sure you've heard all about how nuts the internet
Starting point is 00:20:31 went when that happened. Yes. But you're there for eight weeks. There's this mastermind twist, which all, there's always some weird twist in in Big Brother. Yeah. And their whole expect the unexpected. But like when it's dumb, it makes me so mad. I know.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Because nobody was prepared for a competition. Right. It wasn't like a, okay, let's strategize and put these people up. And then they have to like fight for a veto. And then you have to like, you know, make your way around to prove why you deserve to be there. It was like, boom, bye. Yes. And that was crazy because the whole season, it was like, H-O-H, Vito, Blockbuster, Blockbuster, and a vote.
Starting point is 00:21:11 So, like, if there would have been a vote, I would have stayed. If there would have been Blockbuster or Vito, I could have had a shot. But it was just like going in to a competition where it's like, okay, someone's going to get eliminated. And then playing with people that don't understand strategy was so frustrating because... You were so good because you were like, God, just let me talk to you. You're like, do you not understand what's happening here? And then everyone's like, eh, yeah. And they had just done it on reindeer games.
Starting point is 00:21:35 So if they had, like, watched the show, watched Reindeer Games. Like, if they could have watched anything, they would have understood that we have 10 minutes. We have to figure out. You have to put your top ally in there first because you want to keep them. Yeah. And then that ally puts in another ally. So it's like a very simple strategy.
Starting point is 00:21:53 But everyone was so scared of hurting feelings. And they, yes. And they didn't want to discuss it. And then when Ava threw in Vince, I was just like, why? she doesn't even like him yeah like that made no sense no i was even i was like am i missing something like what is happening it was insane that was insane yeah how pissed were you i mean i was i was really upset about the challenge i was so i went infrasselled because eva for people who don't know it was like this hamster wheel where you had to oh the hamster wheel of death yeah the hamster wheel of death
Starting point is 00:22:24 where you had to like make this ball go through a maze and and like you're on the wheel making the ball go you had to get it to the middle in a certain amount of time. Yes. Okay. And then each minute, it goes, or each round, it goes down a minute. Right. So the first person has five minutes. The second person has four, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Exactly. And so the first, so you see this maze and you're like, oh, I could totally do this. It's not a problem. But I had just been on a cruise on Big Brother, or a Big Brother cruise with Brittany, who had done it in Reindeer Games, and we had this big long discussion about how she did it at three and a half minutes. And she barely did it. And it was like this big triumph.
Starting point is 00:22:59 she was bawling crying like she was like if you see the hamster wheel of death like i called it that but she's like if you see the hamster wheel you had already talked about the hamster wheel of death okay because i'm also friends with daniel reyes and it sent her home yes so i had been like okay if i see this hamster wheel i cannot get in the hamster wheel if i have to get in the hamster wheel it has to be at six minutes it has to be the longest time so i was already in my head about that which didn't help yeah because when you're in your head about anything and you tried and you're panicking and there's a timer going off. That's when I blow it. Same. In any aspect of life, if there's a timer and pressure, I'm like, that was crude.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Yeah. Literally. It was the worst. And I mean, Tyler just standing there watching you too. I'm like, get out of here. Yeah. Having everyone sit there and watch me. I mean, it was so embarrassing because I just like totally my whole Big Brother life flashed before my eyes. It was the, like I saw myself on Big Brother 12 in the hammock with Brendan. I saw myself, Big Brother 13, the confetti going on me, like, winning the game. Then I, like, literally saw every single second of the Big Brother 27 game, me playing this flawless game, me doing the alliances, getting people out. Like, everything you're supposed to do, it flashed before my eyes and I just couldn't even see the thing in front of me. Yeah. It was the weirdest thing, though. I'm still mad about it. I know. Me too. I'm like, that must, like, haunt
Starting point is 00:24:21 your dreams. Yeah, it was just, I'm just so frustrated. I mean, yes, of course, expect the unexpected they throw twists in but like yes I was it doesn't feel fair like that's not that's not how it goes yeah I know it was I mean I was really disappointed but then I'm like okay I never got voted out I yeah never was nominated you know I guess if I had to go you did really play iconic way sure yeah that's fair yeah that's fair because did you really think that if you were in the final two people wouldn't vote for you because you've won so many no by the I think by weeks three I thought I would win the game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:56 About like the turning point was, well, for sure, Mickey's HOH because that was like week four. And during Mickey's HOH, I was like, wait, I might actually have people on my side. I might have these allies. And then even when Jimmy went home, I was like, okay, I know that I could probably still pull it together. I have people that really want me here. And if I can convince them, I knew I needed to win comps. I knew I needed some sort of resume, whatever. But I won an HOH in week six.
Starting point is 00:25:28 And then I was like, oh, I think I could win the game. Yeah. I was able to get, you know, Morgan and Vince into this giant alliance with me. Yeah. I had like my other alliances and my side deals. And like, I thought people would vote for me just based on the fact that I made it to the end. Totally. I.
Starting point is 00:25:43 I, if anybody was like, this is where I got a little confused. I, first of all, until Ashley explained her gameplay, yes. I was like, oh, Vinny is winning. And then she explained what she did in her speeches. And I went, oh, Ashley is winning. She's so smart. She's so smart. Did you guys think before she was doing her speeches, were you going to vote for Vinny?
Starting point is 00:26:07 Or were you going to vote for Ashley no matter what? No, it was Ashley the whole time. So I started, once I got to jury, I started realizing, like, I saw Will and then I saw, like, obviously Kelly and Lauren came in. And then when Keanu came in, I was like, oh, shit, we got to turn this on Ashley winning. Yeah. And so then Will and I started. talking about Ashley's strong points in the game and how she's a lawyer and how she's been playing
Starting point is 00:26:30 this amazing game using me as a shield. She's in this giant alliance. Playing dumb. Yeah, like everything. We just kind of like started going through her strategy with everyone in the jury house. And so anytime we would get a chance to talk, because they give us like, I don't know, we usually get like two hours just to sit there and kind of hash out the game every time someone comes in a jury. And they film it, they do like a little package or whatever. But every time that someone would come in especially after keanu got there i would be like ashley's doing great job and even before he got there i was like well i think you know we can't just forget about ashley like she's playing a great game but then once he was gone because i think he was like the four runner to win or whatever i was like
Starting point is 00:27:10 it's actually all like yeah it's definitely her and then there's also of course we had discussions about morgan morgan played a great game too oh great game yeah morgan was amazing yeah i mean she's it's like a new era of Big Brother where it's like we really, it was like Ashley's strategy was so smart that it almost like dismissed that she didn't win all these cons. 100%. She had such a good, I mean, her strategy was like Dr. Will Dan, like all these people that people say are like these legends of Big Brother. And I felt like she played such a great strategic and like social game. Yeah. And one comps when she needed to. By the way. right like she the most important ones the most important ones yeah which is crazy because
Starting point is 00:27:56 vin Vince Vin yeah what do we call him whatever yeah I like to me I'm like well he did kind to play big brother too I want to know your thoughts on because he was very emotional obviously he's he'll say that himself he lied he was manipulative he didn't mean to be so malicious about it but he was just trying to be a people pleaser but it was like this weird game but then he also won a bunch of comps. And if you look back at other players, you're like, oh, well, they lied and they were manipulative and they were like legends. What separates Vinny from those Big Brother Legends?
Starting point is 00:28:29 I really think the messiness of his game really separated him, in my opinion. And I'm a huge fan of the show. And I agree with you on like, there are some Big Brother Legends that are super manipulative. But they also maybe haven't won. Like Dan didn't win season 14 when he was like manipulating the house so much. Ian won. And so I think there's, and then same thing with Josh or with Paul. Paul, Josh won over Paul because he had made the jury so upset.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Right. So it comes down to that jury management. Yeah. And that was the argument too. We were like, Vince is playing Big Brother. But like he played a game that he wasn't considering how the jury was going to respond. Yeah. And I think if he was able to convince the jury and if he would have taken someone to the final two, he would have had more of a shot.
Starting point is 00:29:15 But at the end of the day, I think he was kind of playing for second place. like yeah in my opinion just from being there and also being a fan of the show right just because he sent people home and they were really they felt something about it yeah whereas like when morgan was winning h-o-hs she didn't really make people feel something about it you know what i mean you kind of have to either make sure that when you win that you if you're sending someone home they either appreciate it because they're like oh yeah i was a bigger target or i was coming for you yeah or you have to do it in a way where it's just like completely strategic like you know like if you're going to play like Vince, you have to just own it.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Like you have to completely own it. I will say that I kept thinking that on my head. I was like, he's just got to own what he's doing. 100%. What do you think like traders and big brother, similar strategy gameplay? I would say, well, it's hard with traders because you don't know who the traders are. Right. So like, and there's no way.
Starting point is 00:30:09 I played in the season when we didn't have individual safety. So I played like it was like you walked into a room and you picked out of a box. Right. But I will say, I thought Big Brother is way harder than traitors. Yeah, I would think so. Yeah, I was a faithful. So it was, I think, easier being a faithful. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Because I know Cody, he was a traitor and he said it was way harder. Yeah. But like Saria, I've spoken with her and she didn't really have a problem with being a traitor. Really? It's just, I think it just weighs on people differently. Yeah. How you look at that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Okay, I have to tell you guys about something that I have really been loving and it's called function health. It is honestly changing how I look at my health, but it's changing everything. I chose function because it's the only health platform that gives me access to data that most people never get and the insights to actually do something about it. So inside function, you can test over 100 biomarkers. I'm talking hormones, toxins, heart health, inflammation, stress, even markers that can show early signs of autoimmune issues. You can also choose to do MRI or chest CT scans and everything is tracked all in one secure place over time it's like getting a near 360 view of what's really going on in your body gosh i'm so into this stuff and this part is wild your immune system is supposed to protect you but sometimes it misfires so that's what happens with autoimmune disorders when your body starts attacking its own tissues so function gives you access to tests that can catch those early indicators things your routine checkup usually does not include it's pretty empowering to have this kind of info to stop guessing and start knowing. So I signed up
Starting point is 00:31:46 online and you should too learn more and join using my link. Function is a near 360 view to see what's happening in your body and my first 1,000 listeners, you're going to get a $100 credit toward their membership. Starting point is 00:33:42 code vine. Do you think they'll do a Big Brother All-Star again? I think so. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw one in the next few years. I mean, I won't be on it. Why? I will.
Starting point is 00:33:58 No, I think, like, after this season, my... No, no, no, you have to. But, like, that twist And then, like, just how this season unfolded, I think I'm just like, uh, maybe if it was short and it was like all winners or something like that. That would be cool. But I would definitely not want to play just a regular all-star season.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Okay. Yeah. When I was pregnant when they did All-Stars 2, which was like in 2020. Yeah. And I was pregnant, but I would have totally done that season. Really? Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Who, like, who is your most iconic in your mind, big brother player besides yourself? Well, so besides my sister and my husband. Oh, yeah, of course. I don't know, I obviously. And I'm like best friends with her. So it's like so cool to be friends with someone that you just like totally always looked up to when you were, you know, playing Big Brother. And so I think she's just everything about season six and season seven for me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:49 But I love their whole like alliance. And I just loved watching the old old school Big Brother. Me too. Like the one that made me laugh the hardest, which I was like, I was devastated when it was over was the brigade. Oh, really? I don't know why. I think I have like a crush on Hayden. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:06 And I also had a crush on, I'm blanking on his name. Enzo? Or Lane? Lane. Okay. Really? Yes. I like farmer boys who are like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:15 And I remember watching it all the time and I would rewatch all the episodes because it would just make me like belly laugh. Like when they had the dance challenge and they had to get up in the middle of the night and dance. And like I don't know why. And like I loved Brittany being in there with the boys. I hate how they did her dirty. But like I just thought it was so funny.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Yeah. They did her so dirty. I mean, season 12 was really good. I will say, like, everything about season 12 is what we love about Big Brother. Yeah. We had me and Brendan on the show vans. You had that great alliance. You had, Brittany was in there with them and got blindsided.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Like, I, and the characters that season were great. So I do like season 12. I think a lot of people say that. Season 12 was great. I think that's like, in my mind, the best one. Yeah. What is one rumor about Big Brother that you wish people would finally stop believing? About Big Brother?
Starting point is 00:35:58 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Both. Both. Okay. Hey, so people think I threw that challenge, which I did. No, they didn't.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Yes, I have heard, like, so many people are like, they think I threw the hamster wheel. Why? I have no idea. They're like, you totally threw it. And I'm like, why would I throw a competition to send me home? Literally, no idea why. I think because the house guest talked about it, they're like, there's no way she could have lost. And I'm like, well, I'm in jury for three weeks.
Starting point is 00:36:25 So I lost. I will say, I think I talked about it on my podcast with Ashley. I went down a whole rabbit hole of conspiracy theories of you going home. I was like, there's no way. I was like, there's no way because you always wore the red. And you had the key with the, and the mastermind's keyhole was right here. And I was like, she went in. They didn't say house guests.
Starting point is 00:36:45 They said roommate. She is the mastermind. And she gets to come back into the game. I had this whole theory. Oh, my God. I wish. I, like, Brendan said that to me too. He's like, everyone thinks that you're the mastermind.
Starting point is 00:36:56 He believed it for like a minute. He was convinced. Well, because I was looking into what he was saying. because he was so upset about it that I'm like, oh, there's no way that she's the mastermind then if he's this upset or is he playing into it. Yeah, I know. I went through all scenarios.
Starting point is 00:37:10 No, sadly, not the mastermind. I can't believe people think, I didn't know people thought you through it. I've heard so many weird conspiracy theories about that whole thing. I'm like, trust me, if I would have thrown it, it would not have been at the first to jury because I would have gone home before jury.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Because I have a four-year-old and a nine-year-old. Yeah, exactly. If you're going to throw, it would be to go home to them, not to go to the jury house by you. exactly what happens in the jury house you just like puzzle and twiddly oh my gosh literally so we're not allowed to have the internet so we oh right we do Netflix so that was nice yeah so I watched a ton of Netflix and we have like a pool it's a really nice house yeah so we had like a pool we have crafts
Starting point is 00:37:45 we cooked a lot oh that's nice so like we get to yeah and puzzles and games once more people started coming we got to play more games I wish I could just go to the jury house right now for a few weeks yeah because you kind of get like a detox like yeah it's a total like like it's a total like internet, cell phone detox. Did they allow you to talk to your family, though? No. What? I know.
Starting point is 00:38:07 I know. Oh, I thought for sure they'd at least give you a phone call. No, nothing. So I was just like waiting, like writing them notes in my little notebook. Yeah, of course. Finally we get a pen and paper. You don't get pen and paper in the Big Brother house. I know.
Starting point is 00:38:20 I know. I was like, how, I was asking Ashley, I was like, how do you remember that speech? Oh, I know. Her speech was so good. It was so good. It was so good. She was so, like, clear and determined. And trying to get everything in, there was not a like, um, but, uh, and I just loved watching
Starting point is 00:38:36 Viti be like, oh, shit. Yeah. Oh, he knew. I think he knew the second she opened her mouth. Totally. I think he thought he had it in the bag until she started talking. Same, actually. Oh, really? Well, because I didn't realize how strategic she was. Yeah. And I didn't, I watched some live feeds, but I wasn't like dialed in. So I didn't know how much of a game she was playing. I thought she was just like this cute funny adorable little thing yeah and then i realized when she was talking i was like oh yeah which she is also right yeah totally well you know what's crazy so she's like a little doll i love her i love her so much yeah she's amazing i think i'll be best friends with her forever she's so sweet she is so it's crazy because when we did the jury segment where we get to like you know
Starting point is 00:39:20 deliberate about the the round table or whatever yeah i said if ashley wins that third part of the HOH. And if she evicks Morgan, then that is literally the biggest move of the whole season. And we all have to vote for her. And the whole jury did. So I feel like they, I wish they would have gone back and like played that part. But, you know, I know editing and all that stuff. But we had talked about that at the jury roundtable. So I feel like we already knew before that happened that if that was going to happen. And I, I knew Ashley was so smart. She knew that had to happen. Yeah. Oh my gosh. And. And, And, yeah, like the jury management does come into play where I'm like, how could you not like her?
Starting point is 00:40:01 Right. And that's the thing. Like everyone liked Ashley. We all like, you know, even if she wasn't working with some of the people in the jury, they liked her. Because she'd like been their friend at some point, talk to them, you know. And I think sometimes it's better to go in Big Brother and kind of lay low a little bit. Yeah. Like I would never tell anyone to lay low. So anyone watching, don't lay low. Because then you have everyone that lays low. But right. But like a. Balance. Yeah. And I think if you can like be friends with people, that's also something that really does go a far way. Like I was cooking for everyone. I cleaned for everyone. Like the best is when you're like, I'm just going to make them a lasagna. Yeah. I'm going to make them my best lasagna his favorite food. It's smart though because it really does like it really makes a difference. It goes a long way. Yes. I knew every single house guest's favorite food. Yeah. I made sure I knew everything about all of the people in that house and on it like deeper level as deep of a level as they would let me get to and then I was like okay if I can you know use this later for my event like cooking your favorite food or I knew that like
Starting point is 00:41:06 you know I knew when Ashley was washing her clothes so I would like help her with ironing or whatever it is you know so I would I think it really makes a difference if you can like take little pieces of each of your house guests and help them because then you're a good roommate and they like that and they appreciate it I liked watching like just because you are so sweet like your core is so sweet and kind and then you just have this spicy side that you're like I also am like don't with me yeah and it's such a good duality that you have and it makes it so fun to watch on like I'm like I want you to come back for every season yeah I don't know about that but thank you know yeah get you out every season um okay I have to do it
Starting point is 00:41:47 because I'm not going to ask about Morgan and Vinnie I'm done talking about their relationship But I am going to go through and ask what your relationship is right now with each. Well, the ones I really want to know. Okay. We saw you be very close with Amy. Yes, I love Amy. You do. She's so sweet.
Starting point is 00:42:00 You guys are still in touch and friends. Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. I actually texted her this morning and I was like, I need your Botox and skincare secrets. Because she looks so good. I know. She does.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Where does she live? She lives in Sacramento, California. Okay. Where do you stand with, because, wait, let's just start by saying I saw your Instagram. Where you, what is it the list of the? Oh, my betrayal list. Betrayal list. You're betrayal list.
Starting point is 00:42:25 So I was like, well, got to ask her. Okay. Where do you stand with Kelly? I mean, I have spoken to Kelly and I, like, after outside the house, like, she's really nice. Okay. Yeah. And we became friends in the jury house, so I think she's sweet.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Okay, great. Vinnie. I mean, I don't think anyone's talked to him. Yeah. I have not spoken with him. Okay. Yeah. Morgan.
Starting point is 00:42:46 I love Morgan. I talked to her two hours yesterday. I think two hours the day before. Oh, that's awesome. Like literally, I just spend hours and hours talking to her on the phone. Yeah, that's awesome. Okay, Ashley, we know. Yes, Ashley, I love her so much.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Yeah, best friends forever. Where are you at with Keanu? I don't talk. I don't think I know him. I don't talk to him. Wow. Yeah. I mean.
Starting point is 00:43:05 We saw such an up and down relationship and I, like, thought, I was like, these two are like brothers, brother and sister. And like, I felt like you two were going to be best friends. Did you watch something back and you were like, screw that guy? No. I just don't know. him you know what i mean like i just i so he hasn't reached out and you haven't reached out well i we talked about business stuff like yeah that was it not like personal or really talking on the phone
Starting point is 00:43:32 or anything now what's up with eva i reached out to her and she should be reaching out to you i don't know she i'm sure she will she has my phone number yeah it's whenever she feels comfortable did you watch any of the season back i did i watched the whole season you did yeah i did i watched it like double speed so I could like really get through the whole season yeah because I knew I'd be doing podcasts and I knew I'd be doing all the things plus I like to know what was going on yeah and then I actually watched all the live feed stuff so live feed updates like yes I'm a huge live feeder of for all the seasons anyways it's so fun but for me I watched I went through and like made sure I got all the gossip from all the live feeds and just kind of everything yeah yeah oh my
Starting point is 00:44:16 so I know everything that's crazy so what was your favorite part to see back in what was your least favorite part besides the wheel yeah yeah the wheel was the worst yeah i guess just my relationship with ashley and morgan it was and jimmy because i like i love jimmy jimmy is coming to national today what yeah so we're gonna meet up we're gonna do like a fun yeah we're doing all this fun stuff oh my god cute yeah well so the premiere of the road is tonight yeah yeah for cb s tell me about it where is it at what's going on i actually don't know where it's at they're picking us up i guess and taking us there but um so it is a really fun new competition show. It's a country western, um, like musical challenge with a twist. Yeah. And it's really fun.
Starting point is 00:44:56 It's hosted by Blake Shelton. Oh, yes. I've heard of this. Keep Urban. Yeah. It's going to be epic. Oh my gosh. That's so cool. So you get to go to a premiere tonight. Yes. I'm really excited. When does it the show actually air? So the show premieres Sunday the 19th. So tonight's like they're going to do a concert and like, yeah, we're so excited. It's going to be like we get to meet all the contestants. It's a really fun show. I've been looking forward to it since I heard about it a few months ago from casting was working at casting. So I was like, this is the perfect show for CBS. It has like the country Western thing going. And that's cool. They perform. It's going to be really fun. I'm going to watch it. Okay. So big brother fans are quite intense,
Starting point is 00:45:37 as you know, but they had a lot of questions. Okay. So I'm just going to rattle off a few questions that they had from when I put it on my Instagram story. We have the best Big Brother fans too. I'm sure you guys do the Bachelor Nation, but like the Big Brother ones are amazing. Okay. I think of them as, um, I don't know if you've ever experienced WWE. Yes. And pneumonia. Like that is what it is.
Starting point is 00:45:56 That's the Big Brother fans. Yes. You're right. You should all put, you should do like, do they do this Big Brother con? They should. We don't really do,
Starting point is 00:46:04 we don't even do like a CBS con. Because like it would be fun for Survivor. Amazing race. Totally. Yeah. Now we have the road people. I was telling Ashley this too. I want so badly for there to be a reunion like a week after when like everybody's
Starting point is 00:46:17 talked and everybody's been like, hey, you did this. I watched this. back like yeah where's that i'm kind of surprised we haven't had that in 27 seasons and this season in particular yeah it's super juicy you're so juicy i feel like people there's a lot of lore to know yes yeah my god i'm like i even said to her i'm like i'm gonna ask cbs if i could do it yeah and i could just like you guys don't have to do anything i will literally pay for everyone to come i will rent
Starting point is 00:46:43 the space i will sell the tickets the cast could have the money from it like i want to do it so I mean, I can write questions for you. Like, yes. Yes. You, or you can just be the co-host with me because I love that. I think that would be so genius. I mean, if you follow me on Instagram, you know I love Pilates. Starting point is 00:49:04 Brittany, of course. She was like one of my ears too, yeah. Yeah, I know. I love Brittany. I actually talked to her, I think I texted her this morning. I talk to her all the time. She's so fun. And then from season 13, same thing.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Like, Portia and I are best friends. Yeah. I talk to Danny and Dominic all the time. I'm going to love it. I wish I talked to Jeff and Jordan more. I haven't talked to them in a while, but I really like them a lot. Are you fun? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Okay, perfect. I just, I think they are so cute. They're so cute. And they're so sweet. I love that you just keep in touch with everyone. I do. Yeah. It's so fun.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Who's one player that you think deserves way more credit than they got? Well, Ashley, I mean, obviously her. Yeah, because people try and call her a floater. And I'm like, did you listen? to the speech? I know. I know. It's really, I think people will come around to her, but it's just kind of the initial shock of how everything went down, I think. I mean, it was wild. Yeah. The full, from the last three weeks from jury to like the final, like, finale was so crazy. It really was. Yeah. I, I'm that person that every time a Big Brother season
Starting point is 00:50:04 ends, I get depressed because I'm like, yeah, you want more. Oh, I want more. And then I'm like, I can follow them on Instagram, but then they're just like, I don't, I don't want to see Keanu working out. I want to, like, hear him talking about why he did this and what, like, I just want more. Yeah. That's why they needed reunion. We need a reunion. What's your favorite Big Brother competition of all time? Ooh, all time.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Well, the favorite one that I did was that popcorn one. It was an endurance popcorn one. And I had to hold on to the back of it and they spin us around. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think my favorite for every Big Brother season is always Otev. Otev for me too. Otev's so fun. It's so fun.
Starting point is 00:50:39 I love watching it. Me too. I feel it'd be so fun to play it. Yeah, it's always fun to play. which was your favorite season to compete in probably i mean i won 13 yeah so so that was obvious and i think that was also my favorite season because i had a great alliance and then i had brenden in the house with me yeah i won right so i think it was overall just a great season for me yeah is there any contact with producers like i know you're talking to producers in the diary room they're asking questions
Starting point is 00:51:05 but like is there any contact with them outside of those diary rooms no not really because you know they keep it very hands off. Yeah. So unless it's at jury, obviously, in the jury house, we have our jury house producers that you see face to face. Right. But they really truly try to keep us in this bubble where we don't see anyone. We don't hear from anyone.
Starting point is 00:51:27 It's very, they keep it very hands off. Yeah. Somebody wanted to know what was the biggest thing that you learned when you came outside of the house that happened while you were in the house. Oh, Taylor Swift got engaged. Right. Yes. The important things.
Starting point is 00:51:39 That was, come on. National news. National news. um international news yeah exactly yeah um what was your hardest goodbye in the house and who were you secretly fine watching walkout my hardest goodbye was for sure jimmy yeah it was just like i love that guy like i was so sad when he went and he was such a good player i loved him me too and he was so fun to watch and he was messy and it was great yeah i guess i was fine when most of the other people went you know it's like they cried so much this season like okay i did lose it over jimmy i
Starting point is 00:52:12 get it. But like, I lost it over a couple people too. Right. But this was like at the very beginning where I was like, oh my God, they were crying week one over day leaving. And I was like, why? And then it got worse and worse every single person that left. But then I don't know that anyone cried when I left. I was like, well, they were just in shock. I think we were all in shock. Yeah, that's a good time. I remember watching because everyone was like, the feeds are down and the feeds came back. And Rachel's gone. And I was like, what? And I immediately ran. And my sister and I had all these theories. And then we were watching. And everyone just seemed like they were in show.
Starting point is 00:52:42 Shock. I think so. I think it was just like nobody understood that that was real and what was going on. Yeah. But they didn't understand the challenge. Yeah, exactly. This is the problem playing with the newbies. Well, why? Like some of them I'm like, you guys didn't even ever watch a season. No, literally. And I'm like, if you're going to go on a show, do your homework. The homework. Yes. I don't care what show it is. Just watch the show. Yeah. Yeah. And like, fall in love with it. Watch the episode. Watch the commentary on the YouTube. Like, do your homework. It's funny because I did that even to go into The Bachelor where I was like, that's not even a game show. I just wanted to be like mentally prepared to know like what happens and what goes on. But I was like, I read a book that Courtney who was on The Bachelor, like her experience on it. I think she had a pretty bad experience and I was reading and being like, what am I doing.
Starting point is 00:53:31 But I found out all these code words. Like if you have to go like number two, they had code words. Oh. I forget what they are already because that was a long time ago. A 10.1 is like for Pian. Yeah. That's what it is. Oh, yep, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:42 It's the same for everyone. It's the same for most shows, yeah. Oh, that's so funny. Okay, what's one rule or behind the scenes things that fans would be shocked to know about? I mean, we have to sleep during, or we can't sleep, like we have 10 to 10 sleeping hours. There's no light switches, and there was light switches on my seasons in 12 and 13, and I was so mad. There was no light switches on 27. It was a full thing for me for like three weeks.
Starting point is 00:54:07 Could you wear an eye mask? We got eye masks. But I was like, low. key, like, losing my mind over it. Because I'm like, I need the dark to sleep. Yeah. And it was traumatizing going in and being like, where is the light switch? And they're like, there's no light switches. And I was like, nobody told me this. But they had clocks, right? We have one clock in the kitchen and half the time I don't know if it's real. Yeah, that's another thing. Because we get one clock and you can't ask production what time it is. They won't tell you. So they're just like,
Starting point is 00:54:36 if it said 12 o'clock, we just had to believe it's 12 o'clock. I go in and I just believe every thing because that's all you can do. That is what it is to you in that moment. Exactly. It is what it is in that moment. Another thing on Thursdays, we go in before live shows, we have like a live show rehearsal. So we go in for like, I don't know, two hours where they play music for us. We kind of hang out and we talk and like, we don't talk game. We just like hang out, whatever. But they play music and that's kind of nice. That's nice. The one break you get. Oh my gosh. Yeah. You know on Traders, you get like a full day off. Oh, you do? Yes. No cameras. no nothing. Oh, that's nice. So nice.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Did they give you a phone call? Yep. I heard they do. I got phone calls. I got, I haven't been on a show that I haven't had a phone since Big Brother. Wow. Yeah. What is your favorite show you've ever done? Oh my gosh. I mean, I love them all. But like, I love Amazing Race because you travel so much. I love the traders because it's just such a fun, campy experience. You're in Scotland. Like, Alan makes the show. I'm obsessed with Alan. No, he's amazing. Yeah. And then I did Worst Cooks of America and oh yeah it was so fun and it was just like it was such a different show than I've ever done because it's like a comedy yeah and all these other competition shows are like
Starting point is 00:55:49 dromedies yes that is it was so fun and I learned so much on that show really yes somebody wanted to know if you act does she does she act like a queen in her day to day life yeah I wish no I'm I'm so I feel like I'm so chill in my day to day life yeah I never I dress like what you're wearing right now like I'm in like at leisure or I because I'm a mom too so like you know I don't go to school pickups wearing a gown like could you imagine maybe I should I know maybe I should no my manager was low key like Rachel maybe you just need to change your whole brand and just like go to school pickups in a gown I'm like that's so much work that is a lot of work but like because do the mom's like fan girl when you're like pull up and drop out they're so sweet
Starting point is 00:56:38 it's so cute yeah and that's awesome They all watched. They all cheered this, cheered us on this year. It was really nice. That's really cute. And they're so supportive in Alabama. That's like really,
Starting point is 00:56:47 it's really nice because it's like small town feeling. But like Birmingham's not a super small town, but they were so supportive. Yeah. Yeah. Everyone in Birmingham is great. It's actually really beautiful there. It's so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Yeah, it is. Yeah, we literally live, our house backs up to like this nature preserve. So it's gorgeous. There's like waterfalls. There's like hills. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Last, but not least, we got to talk about Brandon. Oh, yay. Because I just think it's so cool that you guys met on the show. You really went through like ups and downs right immediately on television. Like we all watched your relationship, like grow and go through. Like, that's hard to go through with somebody. It's insane. Especially when it's probably, but also bonding because it was like you two against the world.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Yeah. And I just feel like most people are just trying to survive in there. And then you walked out with a freaking husband. Yeah. And then got to win another season. I won the biggest prize. And you guys are just so sweet and now you have two kids. Like what does that feel like looking back on it all?
Starting point is 00:57:52 And I know how people always say like, what's the secret? But like how have you two managed to stay so close in such a like public setting and wild world? Yeah. I think, I mean, Big Brother does bring people together in a special way that nobody really can understand unless you like live through it because we have nothing to do but talk so you get to know each other on this very intimate personal level that's why the friendships are so strong the relationships are so strong i mean we have more you know successful marriages than your show i know which is kind of crazy no it makes total sense though yeah but it's because you like you said
Starting point is 00:58:27 you have so much downtime but like for us we're together 24 seven 24 seven yeah so i think after that we just always knew that we had each other and that was the biggest thing and i think we always schedule time for like adult time we make sure that we have time to like go on dates we make sure that we have time to like just tell each other how we appreciate them and Brendan is so supportive yeah he's like the most supportive man ever yeah he's amazing yeah and I mean I'm so supportive of him too so like we go back and forth it's just like you know I think we really appreciate each other and I think that's the biggest thing too like do we have our flaws of course well yeah of course and do we fight yeah of course everyone does it's a relationship but it's a relationship
Starting point is 00:59:07 But at the end of the day, it's like about how you make up, how you work through it, and how you communicate. And I think that's kind of where we've made it successful, like for 15 years, which is insane. Is it 15? I guess so. 15 years, yeah. We met on in 2010. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:59:25 And we got married in 2012, so we've been married 13, but we've been together 15 years. Yeah, that's, I mean. Live together 15 years. Do you guys watch Big Brother together? We do. Yeah. Every year we do, we watch it together. We watch actually Amazing Race together.
Starting point is 00:59:37 survivor together. We have similar interests, so that helps too. Totally. Yeah. So we watch all the shows together. That's so sweet. I just feel like I look at your guys's relationship and I just go, those are two people that are meant to be together. Oh, thank you. And that's really cute. Yeah, I think so. Do you do any like signs and birth charts or any of that stuff? We do. I do. I'm a Libra. You're Libra and what is he? He is a cancer. He's like, oh. Yeah. Yeah. I'm very cancer heavy, but I'm a Gemini. Oh, okay. Okay. Yes. But okay, what is Libra? Because I only know like a few. I balance. I'm the scales. Yeah. And I feel like I'm super Libra, but Brendan thinks I'm like more spicy like a Scorpio. But I think I have a lot of Libra tendencies. Yeah. Okay. Have you done your chart?
Starting point is 01:00:19 Do you have Scorpio in your chart? I don't know. Maybe I need to redo it. I'm going to send you a link. Yeah, please do. Was there anything else that we didn't touch on that you wanted? I'm going to be on Bold and Beautiful November 11th and 12th. I'm very excited. Oh my gosh. Wait, because you've been on that show before. Yes. So I've been on, I'm making an appearance again. So I've been on, I think, like 22 times or 18, 20 times, I guess. You have? Yes. I knew you're right.
Starting point is 01:00:41 I don't know that many times. Yeah. I did a recurring role back from like 2010 to 2014 and then now I'm coming back. But I'm playing a totally different character. It's very fun. How fun. I know. I'm really excited about it.
Starting point is 01:00:53 Do you take acting lessons or are you just going at it? I used to. But so I used to do. Because you did theater, right? I did theater. And I was a theater kid growing up. And then I did like when I was in L.A. I did like, you know, all the I-O. West.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Yeah. And like, I didn't do you see. be I did um second city okay so I did all that fun improv stuff yeah but I don't know that I really felt like I was good at it until I like grew into myself yeah oh totally you need the like self awareness and growth and like 100% confidence yeah to be doing that exactly the confidence and then you can be like whoever in it whatever character that's so fun so bold and beautiful yeah 11th and 12th of november of november yep and then where can everybody find you on socials at rachel e riley Viagis on Instagram at Rachel Riley Viagis on TikTok. If they go there, they'll find me.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Yes. Yeah. Totally. My last question is how often do you dye your hair in the Big Brother House? Oh my God. I had to like every two or three weeks. Red fades pretty quickly. I know. And I'm naturally red, but like mine is not this red. Right. Right. And so it fades pretty quickly. I actually dyed my hair this morning. Oh my God. It looks so good. I love it. Really? Oh, thank you. Because I was like, I needed to like get a red sheen. I was. I was. I was like, well, and then I'm going to this premiere tonight. So I'm like, if I don't have the red red, then I felt like everyone would be disappointed. I would have been.
Starting point is 01:02:11 Right? I literally did my nails red for you. Oh, did you? Oh, me too. I got them done. Was it yesterday or day before? And I was like, I have to do red. Yeah, they look so good.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I love that. And then my one red suit that I wanted to wear today. So I just had a bachelor girls reunion. Fun. And I lent one of the girls my red, favorite red suit. And she was like, I'll give it back to you. And now I was like, no. No. But it was interesting because you said, you know, you get this special bond with people in the house that people can understand.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Yeah. I was crying this morning to Kelly. I was like, I don't know. I feel so sad this morning. It was like this high high because I had six bachelor girls in my house that we haven't like all hung out together in 10 years. Oh my gosh. And I was like it was such a high high for me. And when they're gone and Kelly made a good point. She goes, well, you guys went through something like so crazy together that it probably brought up things you didn't even know were still like inside of you. And I was like, Yeah, right. Yeah. And so I was like, it's really, yeah. It's something special. These experience, I don't think anyone understands the experience of being on reality. Yeah. But just in general, each show is so different.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Yeah. And so we do like bond with people on the shows in a totally different way. Yeah, I agree. And each show is so different too. So different. I'm like, I can't believe we're all so tight when we were just like fighting for the same guy. Right. At the end of the day, we're like, no, we're here for each other.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Yeah, exactly. And you make some of your best friends. So, absolutely, some of my best friends. Well, thank you so much for coming. Thank you for coming on. This was so fun. So fun. And have so much fun with Jimmy tonight at the premiere.
Starting point is 01:03:37 We're so excited. I'm excited to, I'm going to ask for your number after this. Yeah, because I want to know how it goes. I know we need to be best friends. Yeah, I'm like,
