Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, let's talk about the original enemies to lovers story. Before all of our reality TV couples, before the rom-coms, we binge, there was Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice. And Audible has just dropped a brand new original that will have you completely hooked, I am. It's not just any audiobook. This is a full cast performance. So Marisa Abella, you might know her from industry, brings Elizabeth Bennett to life.
Starting point is 00:00:25 And Harris Dickinson from Baby Girl and Where the Crawdads sing is Mr. Darcy. And honestly, the chemistry, you guys, it's everything. Plus, you've got icons like Glenn Close, Bill Nye and Will Polter in the mix. Talk about a dream cast. Now, what I love is how Marissa pulls you right into Lizzie's world, her stubbornness, her wit, her messy family dynamics, and of course, her complicated feelings for Darcy. And with a vibrant new adaptation and original score by Grammy-nominated composer, it just feels so fresh and modern while still keeping that timeless Jane Austen charm.
Starting point is 00:00:58 So whether it's your first time experiencing Pride and Prejudice or you've read it a million times, you're going to fall absolutely in love all over again. So go listen to Pride and Prejudice now at audible.ca slash Jane Austen. Get ready for lots of last tabby topics, unfiltered advice, and wine. Lots of wine. Get ready to shake things up. Here's Caitlin. Welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow.
Starting point is 00:01:41 In the studio today, couple goals. That wasn't even in my notes, see? Couple goals. Jade and Tanner. Everybody knows Jade and Tanner. I don't even need to say your last things. Okay, first of all, let's rewind. Tanner was on my season.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Jade was also on, well, not my season, but our season. We were the same, we had Cristles as our Bachelor. And it's so funny because I feel like we didn't even talk until like the end. Yeah, I remember, I don't know if you remember when I fell out of the raft. And that was like the first time I felt like you had talked to me. I thought you were way too cool for me. I was like, oh, this girl's way too cool. But then you were like, I saw you like go over.
Starting point is 00:02:23 And I was like, oh, my God. And I'm like, you were like saying you felt bad. me I was like she noticed me yeah she felt bad for me I did I remember that we were rafting white water rafting which is terrifying by the way have you done it turn no okay it's terrifying and they're like giving us the whole spiel before we got there and he's like and you could die like he said that we're like yeah um okay if you fall overboard do not put your feet down you will get it stuck in a rock and you will and you will die and we were like so then when jade goes overboard I'm like she's dead yeah there she goes but like this is
Starting point is 00:02:53 going to be a crazy season because we're going to have to shut it down, like, Jade's going to die at Whitewater Raffing. This would be great for ratings, are terrible, I'm not sure. The producers were secretly like, hmm. They, like, planned it somehow. The most dramatic season ever, literally. I seriously think there were girls that
Starting point is 00:03:12 thought I did it on purpose. For sure. Oh, yes. I think so. What? Yeah. Like Kelsey, probably. Because then I got time with him afterwards, and they're like, she did it for time with him. You know what I mean? Gosh, we are all so crazy. I know. Like, I mean, From being on the other side, I realized how little it, like, matters.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Like, the production would tell me certain things. Oh, if I shouldn't say this. No, whatever, I'm not a contract. Like, it's been a while. Like, they would tell me certain things, like, oh, like, you got to give that person the group day rows. Like, you can't do this. And, like, you, Sean Lowe, I remember Sean Lowe saying to me, Caitlin, I hope you realized at one point how much power you had.
Starting point is 00:03:49 And I'm like, no, I did not. I never realized how much power I had. When you're in it, it's one thing, I think. Yeah. You know, afterwards, you kind of realize, yeah, I probably could have done that. It was my way or the highway a little bit. But when you're in it, you're just kind of going with the flow. You're nervous, too.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Yeah. And I truly, truly thought those producers, like, wanted me to find my man and be happy. Right. Stupid. But I was like, they want what's best for me. And then I didn't realize until, like, later, like, until the episodes were airing. I was like, oh, my God. Not today, Satan.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Right. Like, I couldn't believe what, you know, but. I can't. imagine it's so funny because I usually say that all worked out and I'm like did it right well I mean it did in a way I mean that's better than a lot of the stories I still consider that relationship a success I still consider that show to be a success for me and so yeah yeah it lasted long enough to be a success right yeah that's like I think Jennifer Anison said something about her marriage with Brad Pitt she's like I still consider that marriage a success like it was it's
Starting point is 00:04:51 part of your life it just because it didn't work out doesn't mean it wasn't like the right thing at the time right yeah it's all about the growth right it is oh and did i grow i can't believe it like i look at myself now from like three and a half years ago whenever that was and i'm like who was that right like it's crazy to look back and everything that's changed since then i mean think about it okay so you two that's how i started and then i lost my train of thought but so you're on my season you were on our season then you guys went on paradise and it was instant for you guys right like you were like paradise has changed so much from when you guys oh my god so much they still don't know or on our season they didn't really know what paradise was yet fully
Starting point is 00:05:34 right there wasn't like a full script they changed they had just changed locations from the first season they were like working out the kinks still right yeah they were like we don't even know how to end this yet that was like their thing they didn't know the format really really that's crazy so you guys just i find in paradise it's so nice because well i've never been but you get to actually just hang out with the person. I always said, I always feel bad for, like, the leads or the people they picked for not being able to experience it. It is so much more fun.
Starting point is 00:06:00 At least I thought so. A lot of people say that. And do you think that's because it's just way more relaxed? Yeah, way more relaxed, way more, like, there's less structure. Like, you can hang out with people when you want to hang out with them. Which is a wild concept in my world. I always joked with, yeah, I always joked with jade and saying, like, on day two, I'd already spent more one-on-one time with you than I did with six weeks on Caitlin's season, you know?
Starting point is 00:06:21 That's so true. Honest truth, though. Even with Sean, like, at the end of it, I'm like, man, I'd probably spend a total of like four hours with this guy. Four hours. That's insane. Out of, like, I don't know, how long is the show? Like, nine weeks? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Four hours. I had spent four true one-on-one hours of Jade by noon on day two. Right. And I think that says something for success rates, too. Like, because you really do get to know the person in paradise. And I mean, yeah, it's probably a weird transition to come out of paradise and go into real life. But you still really get to. hang and like spend quality time with the person. It's still a weird, very fast, crazy thing.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Yeah. But it's less crazy and less weird than the traditional bachelor, bachelorette. Right. Hey guys, so we all know getting sleep is very important. So let's talk about Buffy. It's a comforter that has over 11,000 reviews. Customers agree it's the softest, fluffiest comforter they've ever had. I got one actually pretty comfy. The outside shell is 100% eucalyptus fiber, a unique material that's actually softer than cotton and naturally soothes your skin. In addition to being softer than cotton, eucalyptus fiber is much less wasteful. It's made from a renewable plant. It uses 10 times less water to cultivate and is produced in a closed loop system that reuses 99% of solvents. This comforter is
Starting point is 00:07:37 hypoallergenic. Buffy's thoughtful materials and construction shuts out dust, mold, and mites preventing nighttime breathing or harmful allergens. Buffie's mission is to make the best soft goods using sustainable materials and innovative design without animal cruelty or harmful waste. The inside fill of each comforter is made from 100% recycled, BPA-free water bottles that are transformed and given a second life as a soft fluffy fiber. It feels even softer than down while keeping approximately 50 bottles out of landfills and oceans. After only one year, Buffy has recycled and reused over 3.5 million water bottles. That's incredible. Buffy believes betting is personal so they offer a complimentary trial try a comforter in your own home for 30 days
Starting point is 00:08:21 and if you don't love it you can return it for free so i was actually nervous to get rid of my old comforter because i was obsessed with it but it was starting to fall apart but this one is so soft so comfortable and it keeps me cool even though i'm a pretty hot sleeper for twenty dollars off your very own buffy comforter visit buffy dot co and then enter code vine one more time that's buffy dot co and enter promo code vine for $20 off of Buffy Comforter. Okay, so Paris, was that season two? Two, yeah. Oh, who was on season one of Paris?
Starting point is 00:08:50 It was Marcus and Lacey in that whole deal. Oh, right, right, right. The wedding that wasn't real, whatever. Okay, wait, so they got married, but it wasn't, like, legit? Right, apparently. It was just like a TV thing. They never actually signed a marriage certificate. They were supposed to.
Starting point is 00:09:04 So they had, like, told production, supposedly, that they were going to get married when they got back in the States. And so, but then they never filed for a marriage certificate. And then so it was never really, they were never legally married. They just had a wedding. That's so interesting. Are you guys legally married? Chris Harrison made a sign of papers that day.
Starting point is 00:09:25 That's so funny. I was just golfing with him yesterday. I say I was golfing. I was not. I was documenting on social media. You were drinking while some people golf? I was drinking with Kid Rock. I was like, it was so funny because I interviewed Kid Rock back in Nashville at Top Golf,
Starting point is 00:09:38 and he was actually so mean to me. Really? Yeah, and so I was nervous to be on, like, this team with him where I had to, like, put a camera in his face because I was like, this guy doesn't like that shit at all. Like, he was, he was, like, so short and cold with me. I'd be like, oh, yeah, you big whiskey guy. He's like, yeah, I love whiskey. I'm like, you want to do a shot. He's like, you don't shoot whiskey, you sip it.
Starting point is 00:09:56 And he, like, gave me like this look, like, you idiot. And I'm like, oh, yeah, just kidding. I totally sip whiskey. Yesterday was better, though. Yesterday was so much better. He was so fun. I'm like, oh, you just got to get this guy on the golf course. Like, he was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:10:09 he was like oh are we trending yet Caitlin like you gotta get that content like are we trending and I was like no you got to do something crazy and he goes oh whip my out on the next hole I'm like did he no I was like you won't you won't do it do it for the gram no I was like that's pretty inappropriate but you're lucky I can like handle that kind of humor I was like I was like yes Jason was obsessed with Kid Rock like he just I was like you gotta stop staring like you got to stop staring at him. Every time, like, Kid Rock would be, like, just sipping a beer, and Jason was like, staring out. Like, you creep. What was my point of this story? You were golfing. Oh, I brought up Chris Harrison. Chris Harrison. I wish people could really, I mean, you guys would
Starting point is 00:10:51 know the real Chris Harrison. I'm like, he is so funny. And, like, his sense of humor is so, I mean, we got to see a little bit of it on my podcast when I interviewed him. I was like, okay, but he was still being politically correct on everything. But he's just. I mean, yeah, the unfiltered Chris Harrison. I just wish the world could see because it's... I know, I'm happy he's dating someone now, but I was secretly holding out that he was going to actually be the bachelor. I was too.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I really believed that that would be a great way to wrap that show up. 100%. Now, what do you guys think about, like, the Paradise and The Bachelor and the Bachelorette right now? Like, do you see through everybody now because of social media? And you're like, what are your intentions on this show? Because when we were all on it, social media was, it was a thing. but you didn't know you could have a career out of it. You didn't know what, you didn't know the power of Instagram.
Starting point is 00:11:42 No, we were actually talking about this the other day. Like a lot of the guys on Andy's season, the season before, you know, ours. Yeah, bad timing. Right. Only ended up with like, I say only, but only end up with like 20,000 followers. Right. Not really anything to do anything with it. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:59 That was the boom of it. It really was. It really was. Yeah. And we, I think the guys before were probably a little pissed. And now the people after just viewed as an opportunity. Not all of them. them, but I bet you a ton.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I mean, the whole right reasons thing got escalated to, like, the umpteenth level because of it. Yeah, because everybody, yeah, that's the whole, they're here for the right reasons. You're here to make friends. Now it's like you're here to make Instagram followers. Because it's such a thing now. Oh, for sure. But I feel like you can see that in the shows.
Starting point is 00:12:24 And I, maybe, I mean, I always talk about how the girls are so young this season. I'm like, is that something to do with it? Or is it just like, am I getting older and the girls keep staying the same age? Like, is that what it is? Right. Are we just nostalgic over our little. era or did we really think it was the best or you know i always i'm like i'm so biased but i always say i had the best group of guys i really did if you think about that group we still talk about that group
Starting point is 00:12:48 yeah yeah and our group of girls on the and then again i'm like are we biased but yeah are we just crazy like i don't think so well yeah i'm crazy but like we all know that but i always think that because i'm like people will will tell me that too so i don't think it's biased because people will be like your group of guys were so good and then you think about people on art like carly me you uh becca ashley ashley ashley's just still crushing the 15 minutes of fame like it she's killing it who else was on um of the girls i really feel like it was our top six i mean Whitney but Whitney's like so happy to not be on social media like god i'm her husband you would love him oh you did uh carly oh yeah yeah he's i just love him but yeah i just i it's so
Starting point is 00:13:35 interesting to watch the shows now compared to back then, because I really do think people's intentions are different coming on on the show now. 100%. Well, not that everyone came on the show before to, like, really find love. You know, of course, we're all going on for some sort of opportunity, but it's just escalated now to the Instagram world. Well, people are actually reaching out to agents before it even starts filming. That's what, so now you know, oh, yeah. Our agent told us, he's like, yeah, I have like eight girls already reaching out to me.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Before the filming even started. Not even before it aired, before it filmed. Are you serious? Before it filmed? Well, how do they know how far they're going to go? Well, they don't then, but they're just like hoping, you know? Oh, wow. That's aggressive.
Starting point is 00:14:16 That's a ballsy move. And what does he say? Is he like, yeah, I'll keep you on the back burner and see how far you go? Yeah, pretty much. Let's see your Instagram following first. I'm sure he just tells them what they want to hear. Yeah, you know. Damn it.
Starting point is 00:14:28 I fall for that shit all the time. Like, even still to this day, I know better and I still like just tell me him, funny and I'm like yeah like then you just got to tell me what I want to hear and I'm happy you're just like eating it up I do all the time all the time I keep like looking for where Annie is oh yeah oh there she is she's great she's a little independent little thing isn't she she's pretty good yeah yesterday we took her to our doctor's appointment and there was these two little kids in the waiting room and she was obsessed with them and she was like talking to them and kept hugging them she had them like six times I'm like these kids better have they better not be sick because you're getting sick if
Starting point is 00:15:03 there's anything, but she's, she's a social butterfly. That's great. Hopefully she still likes our second kid, huh? Yeah. Okay. Congratulations. You're pregnant. I really wish you guys would would have saved that for my podcast to break the news. We thought about it, but it's a great platform, you know. But when did you, you just announced it, didn't you? Yeah, not too long. Like two weeks ago? Yeah, like two weeks ago. So I'm 14 weeks pregnant right now. Amazing. And you're finally starting to feel better. Finally. I mean, I did puke this morning actually, but that. Oh, my God. I know, it comes in waves, but I actually have my energy back now. I feel more like myself for a while.
Starting point is 00:15:41 It was just a complete zombie. Tanner was like, are you going to like be okay? Who are you? Were you not like that with Emmy? I was sick, but he was working full time. So he only saw like a glimpse of it. And now he's home with me full time. And so he had no idea that this is how.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I'm down in the trenches now. So now how do you feel seener? Are you like, oh my gosh, like this is what you have to go through? Well, like, half of me feels like terrible for her. And then the other half I'm like, man, this sucks for me too. Like I'm just having to like sit around and wait for it to be better. Yeah. I know that's like a selfish, heartless thing to say.
Starting point is 00:16:19 He's like, but what about me? Hey, you know what? It's how you're feeling. So thank you for your honesty. Yeah, live your truth, Tanner. I get it though. And it's got to be hard to watch her go through that. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:30 And there's something you can do. Right. That's the hard thing. That's the worst part is. That's all my girlfriends who have had kids and had the sickness that comes along that they said it feels like the worst hangover, but you don't have like the fun night to explain it. Right, right. Like you're just, you just feel like absolute garbage.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Downing Advil and VIII doesn't help. No, you can't. Can you take Avil when you're pregnant? No, you can't. So I think you can take. Tylenol. There's certain ones you can take. But the only thing I could really take, I know there's drugs out there.
Starting point is 00:16:56 I just didn't want to take any of the drugs. I just wanted to try to avoid them, but I took Unisom, which helps, which is pretty much Benadryl. Oh. And that kind of helps the nausea, but then you're tired. Yeah. So it's like, which one do you want? Tired. I love being tired. I'm so good at sleeping. I'm so good at sleeping. It's stupid. It's your best skill. It's one of my best skills. I will like, eight o'clock comes around. I'm like, yes, it's time to go to bed. And I'll get like a solid 11 hours in, wake up and be like, whew! When you're pregnant, you'll start taking naps like you're a teenager again. That's great. Naps are life. I love a good nap. That's okay, wait. So you guys moved from,
Starting point is 00:17:33 Kansas City to, where are you? Orange County area, like San Juan Capistrano. It's really, you came to our wedding, right? Yeah. We had like five minutes. You don't remember me there? No, it was a busy minute. Like five minutes from there from where we got me.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Oh, okay. Oh, wow. Just inland, yeah. That, I don't know if you've explained this or not, but what made you guys decide to move? Because that was, you guys had this beautiful house. Yeah, so we built it. I was obsessed with it. Yeah, we built it thinking.
Starting point is 00:18:00 I was like, grieved. I was like. Right. I don't get to see that house anymore. A lot of people did. We built it from the ground-up custom because we thought we were going to be there. And you involved a lot of people in the process. I was like, oh, I wonder what couch they're going to go with.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Oh, they're keeping both colors. Yeah, you do you. Yeah, I loved it. And so I'm like, what happened? Yeah, honestly, it just came down to the social media thing. It's a stupid reason. But I was working, like, I was the GM of a car dealership back home, busy hours. I went right back to my job right after filming.
Starting point is 00:18:30 I don't know how you did that. It's like 55 hours. a week and I used my days off to like take ads and content with jade and like go do that and I started going crazy yeah I was getting burnout and all my free time was either working or working on social media um so I was just like I don't know if I can do both yeah and we decided the best thing for our family was to do the social media thing see how long we can milk it absolutely and you know I hung up the and live in California right and so that so I decided to quit and And I was like, well, if I'm quitting, why do I want to stay in Kansas City where it's cold and there's less opportunity a little bit in this avenue?
Starting point is 00:19:07 We're like, are we crazy? We just built this house. What are we doing? Like, let's just sell it. Screw. You only live once and we did it. And here we go. And you're happy.
Starting point is 00:19:15 I was actually, we were in L.A. because I was doing a pilot that didn't, that it's not airing, but it was with Jason Biggs. Wait, what? Yeah. So it was a show that I think E was trying to put on. And it was celebrities interviewing their celebrity crushes. So he was interviewing me. You were his celebrity crush?
Starting point is 00:19:32 I was his celebrity crush. During our season, him and Molly used to tweet us all the time. Oh, yeah. They sent us like a wedding gift and we used to talk to them all the time. Oh, that's hilarious. I knew he was a big bachelor fan, but that's so funny. Okay. And so, um...
Starting point is 00:19:45 Wait, that's a funny concept for a show. It was actually really funny. It was really cool, yeah. But, so we were here, we were like, let's just go down to Orange County and look around. Let's just have a fantasy of like, if we were moving here where we would live. And I had found this cute little neighborhood that's right next to like a equestrian center and we went in and there was a guy there doing an open house and we just happened to walk in and we loved the house and the very first plot that we bought for our old house
Starting point is 00:20:10 in Kansas City was the very first one we had looked at so we're like let's not buy the first house we see and we did it again and then and then the next day we were back in Kansas City and Tanner's like I'm just going to lowball them and see what they do and they went for it and they accepted the offer so we were like oh my God are we actually going to do this are we going to move because it's exciting and we just yeah it was really impulsive Yeah, and now here we are. I was wondering if it was impulsive. That was like that way.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yeah, okay. But I'm kind of down with that. I bet it did a little something for your sex life, too. Eh. Oh. No, I'm kidding. Eh, well. I feel like fresh starts.
Starting point is 00:20:44 We're married, Caitlin. Oh, right. I keep hearing this rumor that the love dies when you get married. No, it's fine. It's an acceptable level. We moved and I was five weeks pregnant, and I was already getting sick. So I've literally just had to deal with sick me since we've been. in California.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Super sexy. Yeah, morning sickness and, you know, sex life. Doesn't really go great. I still put out. I still put out. I love you. My sick ass still puts out for you. Good for you.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Life goals. Pity sex. Yeah. But it's still happening. It's better than no sex. Pity sex is not a bad thing. Pity BJs? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Oh, that you haven't had in a while. I've been so funny. I'm like in the honeymoon phase over here. Oh, yeah. I should not say that. No, I should say it. That's the best phase, though, because you're just crazy about each other. But then I'm, this is my problem.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I really mind-f myself because I'm like, oh, when's it going to be done? Like, when's the honeymoon phase over? And when are we going to start bickering and, like, not liking each other anymore? That's why The Bachelor is such a great concept. Everybody's just in the honeymoon phase. Oh, yeah. You're on that high. Yeah, the whole time.
Starting point is 00:21:55 It's so funny. That's, I mean, I mean, you guys get it. You guys get it. Hey, great comfy bra alert. That's right. Starting point is 00:23:34 Oh, snap. Oh, snap. You kind of just confess to us that you haven't given tenor of you each in a while. That's true. That is a confession. But you're not getting off that easy because... Oh, we got some. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I'm ready for it. All right, I'll go first. Okay, I'm ready. I'll keep mine pretty lighthearted. Okay. And since that's with you, I'll confess something to do with our season, kind of. There are a few confessions I could make, but I'm going to choose this one. Wait, not want to hear all of it.
Starting point is 00:23:59 of them. After you kicked me off in Ireland, yeah, the producers pretty much told me right outside, like 10 steps after I walked out the door, hey, we want you on Paradise, but we need you to show like a softer side. Like, we need you to be emotional.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Show that you're heartbroken here. So, like, I sat outside the castle. Oh, so you weren't really that heartbroken. Well, I could tell you didn't love me. You know, I kind of, you know, buried that axe a while ago. So I left and I was like, all right, I'm going to do this. I tried, and I was, like, trying to, like, fake cry outside. Oh, good for you. And I couldn't do it. And so one of the camera dudes had
Starting point is 00:24:34 eyedrops. So I was pouring in eyedrops on camera, but I couldn't stop laughing during the whole thing that. I have to go back and watch this exit interview. They didn't air it because it was so cheesy. It was so obvious that it was fake. And you still made it on Paradise. Yeah, they still cast me. It all worked out. I'll tell you a little, maybe I've told you this, that they told me they're like, keep Tanner around. He's good for a good TV. Like he has good ITMs and good commentary and that's funny that like immediately out of the breakup they're like paradise literally 10 steps outside the door
Starting point is 00:25:04 they're like you need to cry you need to show emotion we need to build your story life and I couldn't do it and I was laughing so hard today they had no material that's what were you saying do you even remember the words I mean it was laid in Ireland and a castle I don't really recall I was a little drunk problem too but
Starting point is 00:25:19 that was back in the day when you could drink on the show like as much as he wanted I admit to that's my confession I that's really funny to fake cry with eyedrops just to I want you to share the McDill story. Oh, please. I love a good McDill story.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Well, okay. So, McDill, obviously, our night one was filmed over two nights. Yes. We all remember. He made an ass of himself the first night, butting so drunk. Yeah. We were all like, well, hell, he's not going to do that again, surely. So me and JJ followed him around all night taking fake fireball shots.
Starting point is 00:25:52 So we wouldn't take it, and he would. And he would. I remember hearing that he would, I think Sean, told me this, that he filled up a cup like to the top with Fireball and said, well, you got to keep it consistent. And just like chugged Fireball to get as
Starting point is 00:26:08 loser drunk as he was. Oh my gosh. So, yeah, he could have like totally redeemed himself the second night and they might have not even aired the first night. You never know. Yeah. But Tanner and JJ were like we need a, we need to have a step up on this guy because Tanner thought he was you thought he was like Bachelor material.
Starting point is 00:26:24 I thought he was my guy, but his name leaked before I got my phone taken away. So I did research on him, and I was like, yeah, this guy. Like, he's hot. I met up with him. He was in Kansas City. We lived a few minutes away from each other. So we met up before our season for dinner. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:40 And I was like, okay, this guy, he was completely put together, didn't get drunk. It was like well-spoken and, like, cool. And he just lost it. He's a big, good-looking dude. Yeah. That's so funny to me. I still, you know, he slid into my DMs the other day. Really? Hey, oh. He did. And I'm not
Starting point is 00:26:56 a lot. I thought about responding. he's a good-looking guy I've met him in person once too and he's tall and he has like a nice presence I was like okay I get it he's fun to go out with oh I can imagine after the show we all went out a handful of times
Starting point is 00:27:10 you were there when he slapped my ass and got kicked up for him oh yeah it was Tanner and Ryan McDill standing there and I was like going to like an interview or something I stopped and like talk to you guys down at the bottom of the mansion I remember that and he slapped my ass and I remember you were like oh
Starting point is 00:27:26 I'm gonna go now You got so uncomfortable, which I respect. But it was so funny because in real life, I'd be like, yeah, what I'm. You know, but they're like, oh, that does not fly with The Bachelorette. I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, totally. Kick him out. When in reality, I was like, keep that guy around. He's funny.
Starting point is 00:27:44 He was funny. KJ, you got to confess. Okay, so mine goes to paradise. Yeah. Are you doing this? Yeah, I think so. I think so. I have some stuff for you, Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Okay, I'm really excited. I've been wanting to talk about this for a while, and I just felt like this was the right time. But so when Tanner and I, I think, like, we, we had sex on TV, like on camera. They didn't show it, though, right? We didn't show it. We didn't do it on camera. We messed around, but we had. Neither did I, but look what happened.
Starting point is 00:28:12 But we had saved it, I think, until we had this overnight day in tequila and all this stuff. But I don't think this has ever happened in Bachelor history, but. At least not to our knowledge. Not to our knowledge. But Tanner and I were actually not very careful. Okay. And I actually ended up getting pregnant while during filming. In the fantasy suite.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah, in the fantasy suite. Oh, holy shit. Tanner and I get engaged, come off the show. And he was living in Kansas City, and I was living in L.A. still. And I moved to Nashville with Carly for a couple weeks. And I came up, and I just had this weird feeling. And we took this test, and it was positive. So we were like newly engaged
Starting point is 00:28:58 Didn't even really know each other And we were technically Trying to make it work Trying to just in the real life I was really sick on the show I had really bad sunstroke The whole time And so I think that had a lot to do with it
Starting point is 00:29:12 But we ended up losing the baby Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Thank you It was early, very early It was like eight weeks Wow But with So right before we got pregnant
Starting point is 00:29:22 With this baby I had a chemical pregnancy. And so since then, I've just felt like I really wanted to address these things because our lives are so vulnerable. Yeah. And I just feel like it's a truth of ours, and we've kept it for a long time. Yeah, we've only told a few people. Because it's like the scrutiny. Can you imagine the scrutiny we would have gotten? No. And so I just kind of wanted to talk about that today because it's something that really did happen. And once you have a kid of your own, I don't think we understood really the magnitude of it. And we were really just confused.
Starting point is 00:29:55 We were like, what do we do? Right, right. And so, in a way. Did that bring you guys closer together? Yeah, I think so. I mean, we had to overcome like a real life thing. Absolutely. So quick.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Yeah. It wasn't just. It wasn't like how many tequila shots are we going to have today. It was like real life stuff. Yeah. Wow. So I think that probably prompted her to move to Kansas City a little, maybe even a little quicker than our plans were.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Oh, and then you had to go. That's something very hard to go through together, too. I think at the time, too, though, we just, I mean, I hate to say this, but it was almost like a relief for us because it really would have been something that we really would have had to work through together and had each other's unconditional support and he was great
Starting point is 00:30:35 through the whole thing we would have made it work I mean we would absolutely but now that and then I don't know once I had Emerson and I realized like the love you have for your kid as a parent I was like oh my gosh like this is what we missed out on in a way but it all works out
Starting point is 00:30:51 yeah it's I mean the world has a weird way of working yeah we wouldn't have emerson if that's right right that's so crazy yeah so i guess that's my confession but that's i mean that's i it's i'm i don't want to say it's a great confession because it's also that's hard we can talk freely about it now but it was pretty hard i can't imagine because even just like little things in life coming off that show to work together through things are really difficult i remember there's um a magazine came out saying i was pregnant from the fantasy suite and I was like whoa imagine that like imagine that because then people would be like well
Starting point is 00:31:29 whose is it and you guys wouldn't have to worry about that but like that's you would have to deal with a lot when it was crazy because I think we only did it once we did it once in tequila because then we had another fantasy suite date that we didn't do it we just stayed up talking and that was right before the proposal but um it was just like one of those things where you're like it's not going to happen and I remember We were drunk on tequila, and I don't know. I wonder how many stories happen with that, you know, all was drunk on tequila. Wow, okay, and that's why you moved to Kansas City. Well, I mean, you guys were engaged, too, but, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I mean, I think it had a lot to do with it. It accelerated stuff. All of a sudden, we're like, all right, we're going to wait to tell our family until we get to a certain point, you know. Do your family, does your family know that now? They don't actually. We've only told a few of our friends. It's just so hard when, I guess this is why I wanted to talk about it, is because, like, miscarriage or loss or anything like that,
Starting point is 00:32:27 anything with women's bodies, it's just so taboo, and we just don't talk about it. But why is that? I don't know. We feel like we should be ashamed, and I don't know what the reason of that is. I mean, even women don't talk about their period. It's, like, you know, like, the other day Evan went and bought Carly Tampons. I'm like, wow, that's a, you know, an awesome guy who's not afraid to go buy tampons.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Do you know that's one of my questions I asked? ask guys when I first, like, like, would you go buy me tampons? Yeah. And if they, if they, they're like, yeah, I'm like, okay. Yeah, you're a good dude. Tanner, do you buy her tampons? I feel like I have before. It's not on my regular shopping.
Starting point is 00:33:04 But you would if she asked. Yeah, yeah. No, that is a, that's, I don't know why that is either. I remember I did, like, a brand deal with Kotex tampons, and I was so behind it because I was like, first of all, free tampons. Second of all, it was such a good message behind it because it was like why girls and women were being accused of like if they were in a position of power, they're like, oh, what is she on her period? And it's like there's that stigma behind like, you know, and I loved the messaging behind it because I was like, why don't, and I was going around doing like a media tour talking about your period and people were like, whoa. And I was like, wait, is that bad to talk about that?
Starting point is 00:33:46 I mean, pretty much every woman gets a period. I think it's crazy because your body is literally preparing to make a baby once a month. Like, that's what a woman's body is built to do. And that's why you get, like, that blows my mind. A woman's body is just a real work of art here. It really is. Okay, guys, so 2019 has just started and yet history has already been made. The new normals here, have you seen it?
Starting point is 00:34:10 Brought to life in a short film that runs only two minutes long, the new normal seeks to leave behind 80 years of unjust prohibition in favor of a safer, happier world. It depicts a product that once drove good people to the black market as one that today is creating a new global market. In this new era, a plant that was tied to fear and madness now represents a source of calm and wellness. From this day forward, what inspired the symbol of counterculture at long last, just culture. The new normal has arrived to your city, to your neighborhood, to the inside of your living room, so watch it now and experience the new normal at medmen.com.

I remember Carly saying you were really connected to your pregnancy. Yeah. I love being pregnant. It's just the coolest thing.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Even like this morning when Tanner was still sleeping, I was just laying there. And in the morning, you can see your bump more. And I was just like rubbing my bump. and I could, this baby moves a lot already and I could just feel the baby moving and it's just the coolest thing that inside your body, something is literally just multiplying itself
Starting point is 00:35:51 and it's becoming its own human. A life. It is. Like Emerson, like she is going to be her own person. She already is, but I mean, she develops her own, I mean, it is, her own thoughts, her own life.
Starting point is 00:36:03 It's just, it's the most amazing thing that our bodies do that. No, it's wild. And all my best friends have babies, my sister as kids. And I witness it. I'm just like, do people even realize what, like, women are so hard on their cells for their bodies?
Starting point is 00:36:17 I'm like, do you even realize what your body is capable of? Like, you are a walking miracle. We are. Yeah, we're a miracle makers. Yeah. We do. Yeah. It's insane.
Starting point is 00:36:25 It really is. And, like, I remember my girlfriend, she was, um, her baby was crying. And she was like, oh, my, my boobs. Like, I need to breastfeed. And I was like, what do you mean? And she said, if I hear, like, my baby crying, your boobs start, like, leaking milk. They let down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:41 What? How does your body know? The boobs have ears. They really do. The boobs have ears. That is the quote of the podcast. The Hills Have Eyes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Oh, I hate that movie. But even your babies, like your babies are so connected to you too. I remember I did this like press conference for the Ava bracelet. Yeah. And Emerson was like three or four months old. And I was talk about something about conceiving and I started tearing up and crying. and she immediately started crying and she was like 30 feet away from me with somebody else
Starting point is 00:37:14 and they were like oh she like started crying because you were crying I'm like oh my god like your baby's your baby senses that on you too I am going to be one psychopath of a mother like I am going to be so crazy because I see how much love I could one have for a golden retriever and two for like my friend's babies like I'm just like I love them and my niece and nephew I'm like oh my gosh what am I going to be like as a mom
Starting point is 00:37:39 Yeah, it's, I feel like I can't handle it. You won't, you'll cry from the overwhelmingness of how much you love them. I cried when you cried on the Bachelor premiere when you did that. I was like, oh, God. I was like a puddle just from watching you tear up over being emotional over like the love you can have. It's overwhelming. Yeah. I mean, it's great because you don't realize you can feel that way.
Starting point is 00:37:59 But there's almost like an ache to it because it's so much. But see, and I always feel bad saying this in front of moms, but I felt that for Tucker. No, I believe you though. I do. a freaking dog but i'm like it almost i would cry because i would just get like frustrated at my level of love for a dog i'd be like i don't know how to handle this like this emotion like this much of love like i don't it's it's too much for me i totally get that though because i'm the same way with my dog but you when you have your kid oh god i mean you will feel so bad you will look at your
Starting point is 00:38:29 dog and be like i know i've loved you but like this is just that's what everybody tells me too and i didn't want to believe that yeah i do i mean it makes you love your dogs more because you realize how amazing life is, but the love you have still, nothing ever trumps it. It's just, that's true. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:46 you just, you watch out. I love that you guys have Instagrams for your already unborn baby. Feed us, feed us Instagram. It's a thing. It is a thing.
Starting point is 00:38:56 But then you're like, I wonder if that will be like their career, you know? I mean, who knows what life will be like when they're like? You don't know. But you don't know. They'll be like, what's Instagram and why are all these people following me?
Starting point is 00:39:08 I definitely, Yeah, we, I mean, Emerson has her own Instagram and we have fun with it, but I definitely don't want her to be, like, five years old and be worrying about her likes and her comments. Right. You know, like, oh, how many likes did that get, Mom? I'm like, no, you're not going to, that's not going to. Put out better content, yeah. That's so much pressure on a kid. It is.
Starting point is 00:39:25 But you never know. Someday that may be a huge benefit to them. But it's good that, because people are now aware that that's like, you know, I think when Instagram and everything first start happening and these fragile teenagers are getting into it, like people didn't know to have the conversation and it just kind of. it just kind of like happened. Now I think we're aware of the damage that social media can do that we'll have that conversation with our kids and have, yeah, yeah. I think we decided we were going to hand over their Instagrams once they were a teenager. Isn't that funny that this is a conversation you have to have?
Starting point is 00:39:54 Something we talk about. We'll have to hand over their Instagram. Yeah. But will you have their password? Yes, absolutely. Yeah. I'm going to be. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:02 We all know how the DMs can be. Yeah. Seriously. I have no shame being that mom. No. No. I always say I'm like I'm going to love my kids so much
Starting point is 00:40:11 but they're going to hate me until they're like 21 and then I'll like that's when I can be their friend but like I want to be like a hard-ass mom too you never know what kind of mom or parent you're going to be until you are one but let me tell you. I'm definitely going to be more strict than Tanner I know this for sure because yeah my parents
Starting point is 00:40:25 were stricter than his parents I feel so I feel like that's going to come out I'll be the bad cop yeah that's funny I mean honeymoon phase Jason and I talk about like if we were to have kids He's like, I will be the asshole dad. Like, I, he's like, he kind of put that in my head, too, like, the, when they're 21,
Starting point is 00:40:43 that's when I was like, that's a good point because he's like, oh, no, they're going to do this. They're going to do this. I'm like, you say that now. But when you have a little girl, he dashed. Exactly. He's like, yeah, you're probably right. Even now when I go out of town and I see, like, what Tanner and Emmy are doing all day. And they're just, like, chilling.
Starting point is 00:40:59 She's still in her PJs. He's letting her watch all their cartoons. They're eating pizza. I'm like, this is just going to continue her whole life. Yeah. Oh, that's really cute. Yeah. No, it's totally cute.
Starting point is 00:41:07 They have a great relationship. And you guys have an envelope sitting at home and you know what the sex is of your baby, but you're not going to... We do. Well, we've made it 24 hours. I don't know how... We went to the doctor yesterday and have the envelope. I don't know how you're doing it. I would not be able to sleep.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Tanner's wishing for X-ray vision right now. He's like trying to look through it. You're like a little kid on like Christmas Eve knowing where the presents are hidden in the house. Yeah, it's impressive that you haven't looked. It's only been 24 hours. It is sealed. I think if it wasn't sealed, he would have peaked. You just open it.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Yeah, but then I would know. Oh. Oh. I would know. Oh, gosh. Okay, so you have to plan something big for this reveal, and you have to have the whole world involved because I can't handle it right now. I'm sure we will. We got to, listeners out there, send us messages with gender reveal ideas.
Starting point is 00:41:52 That's a good idea. It's a good idea. We need some. We want to do it big. That's a good idea. So you guys have a YouTube channel? Well, we just started. Yeah, you just started it.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Yeah. Not that I quit my job. I'm an Instagram husband. I figured I need to do it a little bit more here. You know what? It's a legitimate. career you can make a lot of bank so what is it just like a little like inside look into your life yeah it'll be like family vlogging and then we're going to do like pregnancy updates
Starting point is 00:42:18 and we're doing house stuff with our house and just random stuff just yeah a little bit of insight into what our life is like but yeah and you're still doing the podcast with carly yeah yeah yeah tell us about the podcast so everyone so actually yeah so we're kind of you're just at the freaking Grammys. I was like, wait, why didn't I get an invite? What the heck? Yeah, so Carly and I are now doing the podcast separately. So we had a co-host before with Liz and now Liz is doing her own podcast and we're doing the second season of Babes and Babies on our own. That's amazing. Yeah, so we're really excited and people love that podcast because it's, I mean, all the, there's so many moms out there that follow you guys, right? So it's so nice to have something to listen to that you can relate to as a mom. Yeah, it's so
Starting point is 00:43:02 cool. I think we started it kind of as somewhere to vent, just like therapy to be like, oh my God, being a new mom is so hard. Right. And... I was like, quit talking to me about it. I know. He was like, oh, my God. Definitely. He was like, stop talking about sleep 80 times a day.
Starting point is 00:43:18 I mean, I do that and I'm not a mom. I've already talked about it this podcast like 10 times. But yeah, and so it's just like, it really just connected with a ton of moms. And it's just a place where we try not to like be like judgmental of other moms because we all parent differently.
Starting point is 00:43:34 We all have different experience. Yes, we share, like, this commonality. And there's, you know, there's, like, a progression that's very similar, but we're also different. And it's just fun. We try to make it fun and goofy as well. But we do try to talk about, like, women's issues and things that we face, too. Yeah, which I think is just so important. Like, I try and do that a little bit on, but, I mean, sometimes I have male country singers
Starting point is 00:43:55 that don't really want to talk about their period. Like, but I think it's important to have those open, honest conversations. I think more people are doing it now. are feeling more comfortable to have those conversations. Still not enough. Like, it's still like, ugh. Yeah, I mean, like, we talked about, like, postpartum anxiety and postpartum depression.
Starting point is 00:44:14 And that's something that I feel like's just starting to be talked about too now. Yeah. Because there's so many celebrities like Chrissy Teigen. I know she came out and talked about her experiences. And you guys need to do some weird things to get her off the pot. Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. You just had some big, like, names.
Starting point is 00:44:27 I would love to have her. Brittany Aldeen did it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we had some men on, too. We had Justin Baldoni. He came on and talked about his. That's a good idea to have men on it, too, to talk about those things.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Because sometimes you need to hear it from a man's perspective, too, and hear what they're thinking. Right. You know. Yeah. They have opinions, too. Yeah. So I'm sure my guests, Jane Tanner, are excited to bring Little Emerson to Disney, but you know you don't have to be a parent to bring your inner child, right? Walt Disney World is the perfect escape, and now as an adult, you can experience it an entirely new way.
Starting point is 00:44:59 from the excitement of after-hour events to cool drinking options, now's the time to find your happy place here at Walt Disney World. You can discover a side of Disney you've never seen. Foodie dining, unique shopping, and other magical experiences at Disney Springs. I've been, it's really fun. Indulge in seasonal events throughout the year, like Epcot International Festival of the Arts and Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
Starting point is 00:45:22 There's a ton of amazing places to drink like Jock Lindsay's hangar bar, Indiana Jones fans, aka everyone, can quench your thirst for action at this 1940s airplane hangar turn dive bar and ex-home of Jones, sidekick, and pilot. Relive the nostalgia of Disney or create some new memories. There are so many cool attractions and characters that bring your childhood to life and new experiences that you can appreciate even more as an adult. Enjoy classic attractions you loved as a child like Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom
Starting point is 00:45:50 and Test Track at Epcot. Conquer the Mountain Trifecta doing Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom again. Explore new immersive worlds like Toy Storyland at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you can experience the exciting toy-filled world of Andy's backyard. I'm into it.
Starting point is 00:46:08 Okay, we're going to get to some questions, and then I have a quick game. I like games. Yeah, I love games. I hate games, but I'm... She does. That's like my biggest pet peeve about Jay. She doesn't like competing with me in anything.
Starting point is 00:46:20 I love competing. I hate competition. Oh, I'm like a savage when it comes to competition. I love to win. Yeah. You can't win if he's not. don't play that's Jason I play this Monopoly card game and we're like
Starting point is 00:46:31 I don't even know who we are when we're playing that game because we're both just like in the zone of like we need to win and I like can't talk to him when he beats me like I'm like that's so funny yeah I'm like closet competitive so I do like I'm such a perfectionist that I don't want to admit it so I'd rather just like I'm not into it so if I lose it's not a big deal because I can't handle when I want to lose it okay yeah
Starting point is 00:46:51 okay so then I would just be like I don't want to play because Tanner's really good at games I kind of get that yeah I get really upset when somebody beats me at things like really upset um okay a couple questions from listeners actually i wanted to ask you one quick question that how you guys keep things fun and fresh in the relationship tanner jane i'm like trying to read you guys i'm like what is it oh my gosh no i feel so bad because like it's definitely with kids your relationship definitely goes on the back burner of course and that's just yeah i feel every couple i feel like vacations really help us
Starting point is 00:47:27 Like vacation sex? Yes. I've heard about that. Yes. The married vacation life sex. Yeah, I've heard about that. Yeah, I feel like that's something that we definitely, we're so opposite. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:38 And so that's something we have in common is just loving to travel. What do we do to keep it fresh? I don't know. Again, send your ideas if you have any. Yeah. Yeah. Are we gender reveal ideas and how to keep the relationship fresh ideas? Are we stale more, stale married couple already?
Starting point is 00:47:57 I can't even think of that. That's sad. No, you're pregnant and you've got a little one and your content creators, okay, you're busy. Janice Bossom wants to know. Why do you think so many women from Crystal's season and the men from Caitlin Bristow season are still popular and relevant today? Both great seasons. See, so we're not biased. We're not the only one.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Yeah. Janice. Yeah. I think we already talked about that. So I just wanted to reiterate and say that we are still relevant. We're cool. We are the cool ones Corinne Cook says
Starting point is 00:48:30 Can you ask them about their taste in music? Jade always says she likes weird music and I'm sure all the fellow weird music lovers would love to know what she means Yeah, I like mainstream stuff Mainly country I'm a big country music fan Yeah
Starting point is 00:48:41 Country and rap Yeah Or stuff that I've like heard on the radio You know the main popular songs I don't go off the beat and fast very much How's your wine doing by the way? I don't have some more And Jade likes a bunch of random music
Starting point is 00:48:51 That I've never heard of That is it's weird for my taste Right Anyways. Do you think it's weird? Does that come from you? I don't know. I feel like it's music's always just been something that I really have loved. Even as a teen danger, my mom would always call, like, all the music I listened to, like, depressing. But it was just very melancholy. Like, I loved Damien Rice. Oh, I love Damien Rice. Oh, I love Jamie Rice. Yes, and I just used to, like, listen to that all the time in my room. My mom was probably like, this girl is depressed, but it was just like, I love the melancholy, but I listen to a lot of indie music. So I guess that's why Car – and, like, we were talking about it on Babes and Babies.
Starting point is 00:49:25 It's probably because Carly thinks it's really weird. So I call it weird music. I like it. I think it makes you a little artsy. Oh, thank you. Yeah. Interesting. I'm like, I like country and rap.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Those are like my two jams. But I like all music, but do you know Dermit Kennedy? Yes. Oh, I'm obsessed with him. You listen to my music in the car, though, because it's, like, easy car traveling music. You like, you like some of it. Yeah, I tolerate it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:48 This is so funny because, like, the majority of the questions, I'm sure you saw on Twitter, like, why did you move? Like, everybody's so, like, curious. Because it was so, like, I'll send you're on this road trip moving to California, and you're like, look at her. I'm obsessed. Hi, baby. Wait, wait, but she's like, why are you on the other side of this glass wall? Oh, my gosh. Can we open the door?
Starting point is 00:50:15 She can come in. Let's see if she's... Hi! Oh, I'm obsessed. See if she'll say a word to. Hi. Emmy, you want to talk to the mic? I can't get over her cuteness.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Oh, yeah. What else? Emmy, can you say dada? Dada. My heart, my ovary. I can't. Can you say Auntie Caitlin? Antie Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Nailed it. Oh. Were you having fun out there? Are you having fun? She's like, yeah, I want to go back. She's like, what? Now I'm on the other side of the glass wall. How is this working?
Starting point is 00:50:52 That's so cute. Oh, she's, I just can't. Her little voice. It's... Yeah, so delicate. It says thank you, though. Like, how does she say thank you? Thank you.
Starting point is 00:51:02 Yeah. Everything else is like so high. She's like, hi and then everything and then she says thank you and she goes thank y'all really that's so cute i could just watch i could just stare at her for i was i'm like this is bad for me because i'm like if she's in the room i'm like screw you guys screw jade and tanner babies are the best entertainment they really are um jessica lynn wants to know if tanner misses car dealership life oh jessica lynn i think i had a former employee
Starting point is 00:51:28 named that i wonder if that's her but no come back it's like your old boss right No, I honestly don't. I mean, I work so many hours, and I'm so thankful to be able to be an Instagram husband. Yeah. As funny as that sounds. Yeah. It's a good life. I'm allowed to be home, like, all day with Emerson.
Starting point is 00:51:48 You know, I get so much more time with her that it's really special. I am grateful for the opportunity and thankful for all you listeners out there. Yeah. Because it is a big deal. That is that it gets you to have more family time. It's been the best. I mean, working 24-7 together is sometimes really hard. Oh, tell me that.
Starting point is 00:52:03 I know that. Oh, my gosh. But it's, it's been so nice to have him. Hello. I was saying, I'm like, yeah, you know, talk to me in three and a half years after. Like, you know, you might want to go back to the car dealership. We joke about that. Well, you never know. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:21 That's, I think Jason's same thing right now is in the, like, he went back to his job. And, like, he's doing these, where he's like, what am I doing? Like, on my two days off, I'm traveling and doing. Did you say hi, dad? Did she say hi, Don? You know, it's, it's, he's like, do I, what do I do? Like, it's, is he contemplating quitting? No, I, I, I, because I think he really loves what he does.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Um, so I don't, but, but he's like, how long does this last? Like, what, can I keep up with this lifestyle? That was Tanner. That was me. I was so skeptical over it. Yeah. So that's why I did it for all this time. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:56 It got, I was like, well, it hasn't died yet. So let's, let's go, you know. It dies the second you quit. Right. cares anymore he's a drill sergeant though like he makes sure like we get shit done so that one ad that you just said was great the um water bottle the water brida water filter is that what it was yeah it was i mean you really committed to the role it was good i was like yes these are the kind of ads we need to see on instagram i try so hard to like think outside of the box but i'm
Starting point is 00:53:26 like there's like i really do it's hard after a while it is and i really do love the things that i promote like the vanity planet stuff like I'm legit like send me more stuff I love everything so I'm like I feel like I'm being authentic when I'm talking about it but I'm like if I start one more Instagram story with hey guys I'm like it's so hard not do sometimes I find myself saying that and then I
Starting point is 00:53:46 like redo it yeah I can't say hey guys then what do you say though sup what up guys there's this one girl I follow on Instagram show he goes what's up party people that's cute that's cute though it is cute
Starting point is 00:54:00 I feel like all these questions we've already kind of touched on with everything So I'm going to get to our little game So we can wrap up I know Tanner likes games It's really not a crazy game It's just most likely So Hoover's most likely to do something
Starting point is 00:54:16 Okay Between the two of you obviously Most likely to get arrested Oh well we've both been arrested You have you both have? Yeah I was like this is a funny question You both have
Starting point is 00:54:28 My sister was shocked when she goes, because I was filling out Bachelor stuff, and she goes, have you ever been arrested? And I was like, no. She's like, what? Really? You kind of seem like you've probably been arrested before. I mean, I'm shocked. I haven't. And so when she said, I'm like, yeah, that's, yeah, I haven't. Wait, you both have, that's amazing. Moving forward, probably me, though. I mean, I think you're.
Starting point is 00:54:47 I'm pretty, like, you're pretty mellow. I'm pretty mommy-fied. Yeah. So I guess me moving forward. Okay. Tanner. Most likely to drunk karaoke. I hate singing in front of people. So probably just. Jade on this one. Yeah, I would probably, if I was drunk, yeah. I would, I mean, if I was super drunk, then I'm all game. But I have to go, I have to go there. I'll do it sober drinking coffee. I would get up there and I love karaoke. Yeah. Yeah, so Jade on that one. Okay. Most likely to be a drama queen. Tanner. Yeah, yeah. Oh, you admit it. I love it. I love a little drama. Do you? Oh, my God, I live for a little drama. Like, what kind?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Anything. That's why I love reality TV. Oh, that's funny. Junky. And that's like, honestly, I'm a hard on our season like on your season you like called everything you like knew what was next on what was going to happen because you watched the show i had a game plan i know what's going on hilarious i love to stir the pot a little bit he was poking the bear i don't like to be in the drama i like to be just next to it you're like the heather of the season member the little 20 whatever she she um has never been kissed well now she has but she was like the little instigator that's that was you were you out there who was it you that you guys like threw rocks at my window in Ireland when I was like
Starting point is 00:55:59 came out to the balcony and then you guys got in trouble. Yeah, that was. I forget who I was with. I can't remember who you're with either. Yeah, and I instigated a lot between like the Joshua Alvers when you talked out of Nick. Oh yeah. I feel bad about that one. That's why the producers loved you. Yeah. Yeah, you were like on their team. Yeah, it was like a rogue.
Starting point is 00:56:16 You were like, this is mutually beneficial. Pretty much. That's hilarious. Hey guys, what's one of the most important things we do for our health every single day? I'll give you a second. It's brushing your teeth. yet most of us don't do it properly. So Quip is a better electric toothbrush created by dentists and designers.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Quip was designed to make brushing your teeth more simple, affordable, and even enjoyable. So Quip features sensitive sonic vibrations, gentle enough on your sensitive gums because some people brush too hard and some electric toothbrushes are too abrasive. I actually, makes me feel old, but Dr. Stranberg, Cupcake from my season, actually told me I have some receding gums and it is from brushing too hard. so the quip sensitive sonic vibrations will help with that it's got a built-in two-minute timer pulses every 30 seconds to remind you when to switch sides helping guide a full and even clean a multi-use cover mounts to your mirror and unmounts to slide over your bristles for the on-the-go brushing
Starting point is 00:57:09 this declutters your sink or cabinet and makes traveling with electric toothbrush easier plus quip doesn't require a clunky charger and runs for three months on one charge and maybe the best part about quip is the brushheads are automatically delivered on a dentist recommended schedule every three months for just $5. Quip is one of the first electronic toothbrushes accepted by the American Dental Association and has thousands of verified five-star reviews. I do love that I can take it with me when I'm traveling around. I never feel like I'm compromising my oral hygiene just because I'm on the road. So that's why I love Quip and why they're backed by over 20,000 dental professionals. Quip starts at just $25, and if you go to get quip.com
Starting point is 00:57:48 slash fine right now, you get your first refill pack for free with a quip electric toothbrush. That's your first refill pack free at get quip.com slash vine. Most likely to say sorry first. Me. Ooh, I disagree. Really? Yes, I was waiting for one of these. So whenever we get into a big, like, fight or whatever, I have a little bit of a temper and I get, like, real hot, real quick.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Yeah, your reactionary. But then I'm like, oh, I love you. Sorry. Like super quick, too. So I disagree on that, because I feel like I go real, real high and then, bam, back down. and I feel that. That's kind of me. I'm kind of like that.
Starting point is 00:58:27 I'm a little like a spaz. You're a bit of a spas. Yeah, me too. Yeah, for sure. I don't know though, but I feel like, I feel like. You're pretty stubborn. I think it's me. Yeah, but I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong.
Starting point is 00:58:39 Yeah. He's not willing to admit when he's wrong. I disagree on that too. No way. This is going to be discussed on the car ride home. Oh, yeah. We're not talking for a week, now. Enjoy the couch tonight.
Starting point is 00:58:50 I thought you say sorry right away. Sorry. I was waiting for him. I'm like, apologize, you asshole. Okay, well, we'll agree to disagree on this one. Most likely to start the sexy time. Oh, me right now. We've gone through phases, I guess, though, in our relationship. There were times where I was like, Jade, like, lay off.
Starting point is 00:59:11 I need a break. Really? But that was a while ago. The honeymoon phase. All right. Yeah, before baby. Yeah, and post-baby, definitely Tanner now. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:20 You take turns. Yeah. I like that. Um, no, she's not looking at me. I was trying to wave, but no, whatever. Do you do another one after this? Yeah, I got two more after this. When do you go back home? Tomorrow morning? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Um, I wish I wasn't leaving tomorrow, but I have to, I'm going, I fly at home tomorrow. I get in at seven at night, and then the next morning I leave to Boston. Wow. Yeah, you're always trapped. My house is just my little, like, where are you even living right? Like, I plug in there. I just recharge the batteries and go to sleep and then I leave again. Where is home, right? I'm still in the same house.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Oh, you are? Yeah, yeah. I'm obsessed with... I decorated, like, the whole thing with a designer and, like, made it exactly what I wanted it to be. So, Sean was actually very good about that. He was like, this is your home. Like, you made this your home. He was really great about it.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Send the dog, though. I wouldn't be mad at that. Anyways, most likely to blow money. I feel like we're both pretty cheap. Oh, nice. Honestly, which I'm thankful for. Yeah, frugal. Is that the word?
Starting point is 01:00:21 Frugal. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. so I don't know I don't know I feel like we're both from the same page there I mean all my money does go to Emmy
Starting point is 01:00:28 I probably spend the most money like Tanner probably comes home I feel like this has been a scenario and he's like why did you buy all this stuff and it's just all Emmy clothes I just ask you know I look at a different thing you know you're on Instagram right you could just ask for Emmy clothes
Starting point is 01:00:42 I know I know I actually don't I don't know why I get that though sometimes you just you're like sometimes it's hard to always owe somebody something So sometimes you like to just spend the money to be like, I'm going to get this for it without having to like do something for it. Yeah, I don't spend anything in myself. I'm wearing the same clothes that I did like in high school. I'm going to say, I don't spend money either.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I really don't. I feel like I live the same way I did in my like broke 20s where I'm like, ooh, do I need that coffee? Like I like that I still have that mindset. We do postmates a lot. Yeah, that's our, we got to stop that. Yeah. I'm obsessed with postmates. Wait, you don't get the postmates deal?
Starting point is 01:01:21 No, we reached out to the guy and he freaking hasn't responded to us. I'm so sorry for that. I don't know. That's, it's... Yeah, so we use Grobub now. I'm like, no, no, Postmates, Postmates. And unless you're listening Postmates, Guy,
Starting point is 01:01:35 then sure, we'll revert back to Postmates. Yeah, exactly. Okay, most likely to get a tattoo. Well, Jade has two tattoos. I don't. I've toyed around with the idea. Yeah. Jade's actually...
Starting point is 01:01:49 She hasn't, but I think she's talked about getting hers removed where I've actually talked about getting them before. I actually want to get both of mine removed, but then add another one. So just have one but get the ones I have now. I'm gone. What are they? Actually, I mean, I do love them.
Starting point is 01:02:05 I feel like I just don't like the positions, like the spots of my body anymore. So I have... Try getting two birds on your arms, okay? Yeah. I have it on the bottom of my left foot, which is a tree. And it says... Oh, yeah, I need that. Yeah, and it has a saying on it. This is Onam Karah, which means soul friend.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Yeah. And then I have, like... That's cool, though. Thank you. Yeah. They just fade. My skin actually doesn't hold color very easily. Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 01:02:28 And the one of my back is super faded. I got it when I was 17, and it's a mandala. And I had a friend who was terminally ill who designed it for me. Oh, wow. Kind of like I rememberance of her, but now she's kicking ass. She's still alive, so... Oh, no, you got to keep that, though. I know, but it's so faded.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Oh, okay. So now I have to either go back and get it. That's crazy that you're tiredrops tattooed on my fingers. And... What are you a rapper? Yes. and I had to kill two people to get these, okay. Jail house pets?
Starting point is 01:02:55 Yeah, exactly. I just didn't put them on my face. It's probably smart. But that, I got that. They said, like, Caitlin, if you get a tattoo on your finger, it'll fade. I've had this for, like, 12 years, and you can still, like, see. I mean, it's not cool. Yeah, it looks good.
Starting point is 01:03:07 No, but it looks good. I've seen people who have really faded. Yeah. Yeah, it is wild that it's still there. But then I'm like, well, I might as well get another figure one. I got a rose tattooed on my arm, which is wild. I just did it recently. I used to hate roses.
Starting point is 01:03:21 I'd be like, now I'm like, no, you know what? That's part of your life. It is such a huge part of my life. And I'm like, I want to look at that and be like, wow, that was a crazy time in my life. I've never been one of those people that was like, oh, my God, ee, the roses. I was. I didn't go through what you were through it. Yeah, I was like an angry bitch after my season.
Starting point is 01:03:42 I was like, I hate all the producers. I'm like way over it now. And I can look back and be like, they're just good at their job. Right. I can look at it back at it now, and I love it. But at the time, I was like, I'm not here. Okay, last one. Most likely to have a weird phobia.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Oh. Me? Yeah, probably, yeah. I don't know. Tanner has a phobia of his own, like, blood. Yeah. Really? I bleed in my own blood. No one makes me bleed my own blood. Yeah, I don't like getting stuff done to me.
Starting point is 01:04:12 He's like a fainter. I've seen it. Really? Oh, my God. It's like unlike anything I've ever seen. What were you like when she was giving birth? earth. I'm fine with other people's blood. Oh, okay. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:04:23 Yeah. Oh, that's very interesting. It's like his own bodily fluids leaving him. Okay. He had this thing on his head. Good thing you're not a girl. Yeah, so I have like a, I know. I have like a little cyst on my scalp. I guess they're pretty normal. I actually, Jordan Roger, Jojo, a film Jordan getting his removed exactly. Really? Like three months ago, but it's not important, but. Like, well, like, well, content creator. Yeah, I went in to get it done. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:46 You know, Jay didn't film mine, unfortunately, but. I should have. Oh, it was bad. That's YouTube content, Jade. And I had watched... It was gold. I'd watch so many videos of the procedure that I, like, freaked myself out. So they gave myself... They gave me the shot. To numb it.
Starting point is 01:04:59 They gave him a shot just to numb it. And I went, like... I don't even know. He went, he was laying down. He went completely pale. And then all of a sudden, his eyes just go... And I started shaking, like convulsing. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:05:11 It was like... It was like... It was like... He was jerky and, like, he was having a seizure. I was like, is he having a seizure? Wait, that's scary. And actually, before your season, They do the blood test from them.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Yeah, yeah. In the hotel. I passed out then, too. No, you didn't. The doctor was like, hold. Yeah, the doctor was like, holy shit, I've never seen that before. Did Hilda mention that I almost fainted when I got needles? Uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:05:30 I'm fine with needles now because I'm like, Botox is life. But, like, at the time when she was putting a needle in my, I was like, oh, she made me lay down on a bed in the hotel. And she was like, don't worry, Chris Solz didn't like needles either. She was, like, trying to make me, like, already relate to him. I was like, are you in a mess? Are you also a producer? But I was surprised she didn't say that to you Because I feel like that's what she does
Starting point is 01:05:51 She tries to like connect to you with Yeah But I guess there's two of us So she was like well who knows Who's gonna be? Oh right You'll hate my phobia What?
Starting point is 01:05:58 Because you love ketchup I hate ketchup What is wrong with you? I know I love ketchup I'm obsessed with ketchup I would put ketchup on my wine I put ketchup on ketchup I put ketchup on ketchup
Starting point is 01:06:06 I can handle little bits of ketchup Like the tiniest amount But like the smell And the color And the way it like Hardens on plates And you have to like wash it off Yeah that is gross
Starting point is 01:06:17 It grows. I can't handle it. One time I was in an elevator that smelled like ketchup and I seriously thought I was going to lose it. Well, I mean, my phobia's birds. That's weird. And I have them tattooed on me. Who's the weird one here, okay?
Starting point is 01:06:28 You just don't like ketchup. I put ketchup on everything. Okay, we're talking about needles. I always had my podcast with a joke. Are you ready for this one? I talk about Botox on my podcast a lot. It used to be such a taboo topic, but now everyone's doing it, so nobody raises an eyebrow.
Starting point is 01:06:46 I get it? I get it, because Botox does not you move your face. Yeah, I can't. If I was like to act surprise right now. What's your serious face? Oh, what's your surprise face? Oh, so different. I'm like, looking at my reflection in the window, I'm like, yeah, that's not moving.
Starting point is 01:07:02 You have to master what Ashley does, and it's more just like about the lip expression. Oh, yeah. So I get Botox around my lip. Oh, you're screwed then. Yeah. But I just remember, like, she'd always just be like, you know, or something to, like, have an expression. That was such a good Ashley eye face. I also love that we all still say Ashley I
Starting point is 01:07:20 I'm like I think she still says Ashley I It's like her identity Yeah It's crazy I'm like I don't even know her last name Thank you guys so much for coming on the podcast I had so many other questions but I'm like I guess we got to wrap it up I'm like trying to see if there's any really Any juicy ones
